Turn backside when you back you go back to what you were doing before. And it's not a pretty thing well and a. It's called falling off the wagon. Yeah yeah it's called drinking. Don't drink rene point to stop drinking so your mother. Does this thing on her own. I believe she did it on her own. I think that people can do amazing things. When they set their minds to it. I referred to the mothers who have children that are stuck and things and they lift things that are heavier than they could ever lift. You know they just that. I'm going to save you anyways. So i think people are able to do amazing things beyond their their what they think other capabilities but so she does this and then she takes everybody to church because now she thinks that god no she didn't do. She didn't take your buddies church. She didn't take you guys to fight. That was that was coincidental. Now is also church your reasons for going to church church. Before i went to her church. "Arizona's news station K T a R news 92 3 FM. It's the Gators and Chad show, Chad. We talked about it all the time, the effects the pandemic is having on people. Studies have shown that in a typical year, one in five individuals struggle with their mental health in 2020. It's not wanting five. It's one into It is one in two. So my church Christ Church of the Valley Love my church. It's ccv. I was there the other day, and they have this great plan to help people right here in the valley. If you are suffering from depression, or you have anxiety, or you're hurting They want to help you And joining us right now is Ccv senior Pastor Ashley Wooldridge asked. Really great to have you on the show. How are you, man I'm generate is something to be with you Tell us about the campaign you're doing. I watched it with my own eyes as I was sitting there in church, you guys air helping folks who are are having a tough time dealing. Tell everybody what you're doing. The mental health pandemic is this thing that I don't think is getting talked about enough and so many people struggling. We just wanted to be a church that stood in the gap. We wanted to provide some real solutions. So press on is a campaign we launched. That's really our rallying cry. It's a campaign to provide tangible help for those struggling with mental health. And what we're doing is whether you attend church or you've never been to a church. It doesn't matter to us. You can simply text forward help H e l P to 7 2020 and within 24 hours, someone on her staff will follow up with you. And provide not only some resource is a listening here, but we want to offer to pay for your 1st 10 counseling appointments to see a professional to get some help, which so many people need right now. How's the response? Been so far? Ah, Pastor Actually, you know, it's our church just blows me away. The response of people texting help has been huge. So today's approximately 1900. People have texted the word help. Wow, Our staff has just done an incredible job. We follow up with every single one of them and getting them the help they need. But maybe even more surprising to me without with our churches. We've asked our church and said, Hey, pain for counseling. Professional counsel is not cheap, And that's actually one of the barriers that keeps people back from getting the help they need. So one of two people starting with the mental health that means someone right next to you right now is struggling. And one of the reasons they're not being healthy is not really sure what to do. But even if they wanted to get help, that can't quite afford it. With all the financial heart holds that around us with Kobe it so Today. Our church has actually repays 1,074,000 and $87 that will 100% each given. We won't keep a dime of that It will all be given to help people get the help they need. That's so great. Congratulations. That is amazing. So would you talk about some people would text it within 24 hours. You guys get back right for and then And then you Start helping them find a counselor. Do you have AH group of counsel's You're working with and then you'll pay for their 1st 10 basically sit down more in today's world zooms because of the cove. It Is that how that works? It is way have abetted counseling that works that we vetted these counselors. We we believe in that We believe they're great at providing help, and so we will just simply refer someone, if that's what they that's. Their next step is getting counseling were first someone to that counselor and we've already worked with all those counselors to say, Hey, here's the paperwork when it's filled out. We're helping to pay for the costs of counseling. And that's just our way of serving our valley during what's a really tough time. So We really hope people take advantage of getting help again. This This is another pandemic that needs to get some more air time so that we don't go into the 2021 with a vaccine that we're helping people with physical coated pandemic. We have to help with the other pandemics going on that this is created. Christ Church of the Valley. Senior Pastor Ashley Wooldridge is joining us. You could text the word help to 7 2020. And the process will begin Where CCTV is going. Tol help you put you in touch. With someone who's going to help your mental health. You They're going to sit down with you. They'll, Zuma's chat says and your 1st 10 will be covered by CCTV. Do you have a story that you could tell us about someone who was just suffering horribly anxiety loss of a loved one or no one to talk to because of being in isolation? Could you share a story with us? Yeah, well, we just got a call from a single mom who had just gone through a divorce, which you know so many listeners right now. You just know how tough that is. The single mom has four kids, and she actually had gone into a clinic recently because she's addicted alcohol. And when she came out of this detox center again, she's a single mom for kids When you come out of detox, what do you do then? She called it and just said, I think I need some help to deal with the reasons that I was addicted alcohol because one thing to go to detox. It's another thing to actually deal with the issues that may be led you to turn to alcohol, and so we were able to connect her with a counselor, and we're helping her right now helping her pay for the cost of council man and it's It's a great story. How long did it take you Two guys to come up with something like this. Was this the thing that you wanted to do when the pandemic started, or was it? You know, I saw the middle, the pandemic that we've got all these people with mental health. We got to do something. You know, you know, get a suite. We have this incredible team at CCB. When we really started dreaming about this really back in August, our team went to work. And you know that the level of work that they've done to pull this off the amount of details that takes the line that many counselors and put the whole program together and put the text functionality and then Church to raise over a million dollars is 100% he invested in people's mental health. We're just proud. We're proud and also grateful for so many people that have stepped up to help. If you're struggling, everybody struggling. This is the time when you reach out now come out to be a member of the church could be anybody who's struggling and CCTV is gonna help. Yeah. That's right. Like we like to say, you know when, when times seemed darkness, that's when the light and shine the brightest. Our valley needs some light these days, and we just wanted to help you are parts of shine a bright light in our city. So simply text the word help to 7 2020..

So Chelsea Clinton was one of the people who called out Anamar for using anti semitic language will students confronted Chelsea Clinton, and they are blaming Chelsea Clinton these students they're blaming Chelsea Clinton for the shooting in Christ Church. Hey, this is how radical the radical fringe of the left is Chelsea Clinton is somehow to blame for a white supremacist shooting up a church Christ Church because she called out anti-semitism from Illinois. Mar this went viral over the weekend students confronting Chelsea Clinton. After all the done all this. This this this right here is the result of a massacre stoked by people like you out. And I want you to go at once you feel deep inside the forty nine people guy because rhetoric. Put up snapping background. Feel that we mean what does that mean? What is she supposed to apologize for? She's supposed to apologize because she called out Ilhan, Omar for being anti semitic. So if you call out a Muslim for being anti semitic, then you're responsible for the murder of other unrelated Muslims who are not being anti semitic in Christchurch. And then these two people the people who who were going after Chelsea Clinton for goodness sake. I mean, how radicals left they're making me defend Chelsea Clinton. Now. This is unbelievable. These two people were given a platform in BuzzFeed news a platform to explain why they called Chelsea Clinton for the shooting in Christchurch. Buzzfeed news, posted a piece by these two radicals, whose names are Lind week and rose us off and says why we confronted Chelsea Clinton at the Christ Church vigil. Here's why yesterday we posted a video of leeann confronting Chelsea Clinton at a vigil for the victims of the white supremacist. New Zealand mosque massacre today we woke up with over one hundred thousand people talking about it on Twitter, needless to say, this is not what we expected. Well, it's sort of was we went to the vigil for one reason to grieve the loss of innocent lives that were stolen from this world by vile hatred. We wanted to join our friends in college and a time of heartbreak in agony. Remember, the forty nine Muslims who were murdered for being Muslim. We did a double take when we first noticed. Chelsea Clinton was at the vigil just weeks before this tragedy, we bore witness to a bigoted anti Muslim mob coming after Representative ill for speaking the truth about the massive influence of the Israel abbey in this country. We believe L Hannah. Did nothing wrong except challenge. The status quo, but the way many people chose to criticize are made her vulnerable to anti Muslim hatred and death threats. We were shocked when Clinton arrived at the vigil given that she had not yet apologized to Representative Omar for the public vilification against her. So Illinois, mar was a wounded innocence and all this Chelsea Clinton was the offender, and because Chelsea Clinton called Il Maher for being an anti Semite..

"Of Christ. That's located at seventeen sixty four would bury highway in Manchester, midtown are you? I'm doing great Tiffany. Thank you for having me on this afternoon. Looking forward to this weekend. Mentioned literature price. Now, you spoke all last weekend as well at Manchester church crisis at correct? I did I did our focus. Two week basically on revival and the first weekend was more was focused on trying to reach the community of the unchurched and give them a sense of hope and revival that God loves them and want them to walk within. And so that went on Friday Saturday night and then again Sunday morning, and I believe the church in Manchester are having those sermons reported. And so I'm not sure when that's going to be up for what it was fantastic very edifying weekend. We'll we'll double check with the folks there. But certainly if people want more information about the Manchester church Christ, we can direct them to their website, Manchester church of Christ dot com. So there's contact information there, and when you said that you're trying to reach the unchurched how many folks in our in our culture, do you think? Just don't have a church home. Is that what we're talking about? Folks, that don't have a church home or folks that just don't know Jesus. What are we talking about? Okay. Very flawed categories. The church twenty glued not Christian. That would be either in eight years NAS, dick. And there's a group called the non. Fast growing population in our country where there is no affiliation. But they do believe in Jesus. And and so that the group of non and then the next even smaller segment 'cause a non can also include those who do not believe in Jesus. So there's a there's a wide swath of the unchurched unchurched, basically is our people who they go to make a church service less than twice a year. Maybe they're the Easter Christmas people that go with the the parents or family members. Yeah. These going to typically be from eighteen years old on that we referring to that have access of leading to a church, but Jews nothing Hawaii reason. And so he would be including those with self-acclaimed as being a Christian and those who are not. Those are the unchurched. So what I'm wanting to do is reach. That segment of population when I'm preaching. And so I have my own podcast reaches that, Jerry population and. I hope that with. Direction of churches viewed how viewed and the trends regarding the visage in all these are sunny of what's going on in America. With regard to Christianity and some really tried to be hard focus on that. And so the church adventure asked if I would come preach to this segment that you will on the first weekend in the second weekend in this coming Friday, Saturday Sunday is really focused on the church and kind of melting these two populations together in the name of Jesus Christ. Well, some folks that didn't attend the first weekend, and if we can lay a little bit of groundwork for for for this little bit a couple of things that really stand out to me that you touched on in the first weekend at the Manchester church Christ, the first one being Jesus loves all sinners. And I don't expect you to give us the whole sermon. But let's say that there are folks out there who are nonbelievers. What is it? You would say to them to convince them that Jesus loves all centers. Sure. So I had no desire them per se. But if they they dip local fact that there is a person who came into this world Jesus Christ our heavenly father, God gave us. Is is the life of Jesus Christ. This love I dying on the cross the purpose of saving us from our sins. One is so loaded. There's so much behind it naturally. I cannot explain that over the short interviews, but the reality that someone died so that you can have a relationship with God. All your sins washed away in the path forgiven. Let's start fresh and walking with dawn. And and it's a message of hope because there's so many people that go into jail, and there's a number of people that should be in jail. Homeless. Don't feel like. Recognized as part of society. And so it's result. They feel no hope. The message is there is hope dot. Japan have a hope and a relationship with them, regardless of what your your situation looks lighter. Ken had the forgiveness of. And so when we look at all the thickness over for me, it just seems like our our culture is really going the way of the world for all high. You will in that. Thin. Conservative America of saddest thing keenness activity. That's one talking to. Right. If you're wanting to to name. Murderer child molester everywhere. There's no way person could ever have a relationship with God. That's one thing. You can have one. What are the other points that I'm noticing that from the first weekend? What non-christians really think about Christians, and I'm dying? Do you have insider information? Did you Paul folks? How did you get this information? Thank you. That's a great question. Yes. Well, actually, I had actually done interviews one of which went onto the radio here in Franklin with the person who is a self proclaimed heathen, but beyond that there was a study by Tom L Rayner. He's a PEO of life way. In fact, you thousand well, what the publication all all throughout various news outlets. Show. The results of this survey. What non-christian think about Christie? From the good the bad. And these are the most popular. Humming that were in various categories of. Here's what I think about Christian. And so that's basically what we were dealing with. And there were about seven of them that we were looking at that showed. Hey, here's what we think about you. And I want I've wanting in that sermon or wanted in German war Christiansen. Oh, here's what non-christians really think about. I opening for many. The typical. Hey, you're fuddy duddy. You don't like to wear. I'm sorry that that Christians are square. Yes. That's right. And so in for a church gathering. I've never had a thirty two years. Living Dipper had Christian fight me to denture service. Wow. Yeah. I've been leasing isn't it? And these are people saying I want to have a bible study. But I don't want to go into some old, dodgy and legalistic church building. I would prefer we could be at Starbucks. They could inviting into their home bite them into my home. I just want to learn about that's words, or another family said, you know, my life is falling apart. Whether it's a husband and father is a wife mother, and I see my neighbor and their life looks like it's all put together. And I wanna know what's their secret having a good marriage. Good good relationship with your children. And then there's another one that says I can right past them. This person called the supper Christie's, but I know their life isn't all that. And yet, they they're a MAC. And so these are all the types of things non-christians, I think in our Christian and opening very eye-opening. We're heading to quick break on lunch. And learn midst Davis will stick around and give us more information about what the focus is going to be at the Manchester church of Christ this weekend. Now another update from the Wm our thunder radio news.

We had one individual who did not come with her husband and she and her husband were starting their own business, and she had quit her job to be one hundred percent in with him to do the business, and they didn't have any income Zo there or like a couple of months where there was no money coming in. And so I was asking, well, how are you getting by month to month? And they say, when they have to pay bills, they would get another credit card to pay those all. She's in the class. So would you say this was weak wan? And so as you know, we're talking through this and she was like, I don't know what to do, should I do? And I fit, you know, I'm not here really tell you what to do. You're going to have to figure it out, but I would get another job. I would get a partner so that you could have some income into the house. And so you know, she thought about and thought about it Indian probably around week four or five set are that I really appreciate your advice. "We've got about six minutes here at the end zone to try to get a lot of mailbag questions in first question from pole why does the catholic church insist that only men can be priests it's because the thoroughbreds are very heavy they're very heavy it's hard to pick them up the smells and the belgian needle outta muscles for that to work there's some other there's some other reasons too but this question actually does come up a lot why why can't women be priests i think you're looking at it backwards first of all priestesses have been common to a lot of religions in antiquity and in the modern era of reno before during and after the incarnation it's not like this was unheard of and only only we blessed moderns realize that women can do things that isn't what happened but judaism rejected that and it seems that christ establishing the church did not want women to be priests either have we know that well if he did the virgin mary would have been an ideal candidate to be a priest right at the sacrament of the blessed sacrament the eucharist she could have quite literally said this is my body this is my blood right comes from from her christ comes from her from her womb but women and men have different roles in the church duh doesn't mean that women are lesser you'll remember who is the we're the first people to spread the gospel of the resurrection was women women revised that that christ was resurrected but are they giving a teaching function in the church no we know that from saint paul's pistols from i corinthians from i timothy they have different function we have nuns we have priests we have you know in an and women teach in catholic schools it's not like they can't teach ever you know but in the church there is a different role to them of the apostles the apostles are men they apostles there were plenty of female disciples of jesus were very close to him and the closest jesus is his mother obviously a woman when when judas betrayed christ in and in acts they the apostles elected a new apostle in which was where we get apostolic succession from it was men and i think there's a reason for that if you ask the question why can't women i think you're looking at it from different ways you know when you're a priest you're serving the church and you're serving the bridegroom of the church christ in his a service at something you do it's not about the personal will and showing off and having a flashy title or something it's about service and so if you're saying i want that glory you're doing it wrong in the nineteen seventies the the church of england started toward dane women priests it was the beginning of the end of the church of england i don't know if anybody goes there anymore it's like a husk of husk now you know and it was there was a big split there was a lot of anglo catholicism came out of that the reason that women aren't priests in the church is that women aren't priests in the church and if someone is really in raged by this it probably says more about you than about the church and maybe.

"The pera okay cheryl could question it's a great parable as he said you funny matthew chapter twenty two for for those who might be driving let me just summarise what this parable is and then we can talk about its meaning it's it's very significant talbott get begins by jesus saying the kingdom of heaven he's like into a certain king who arranged marriage free some say jesus beginning a perilouslooking about a king and the king has a son and the sunday's about to get married you know it represents something the king would represent god the father the sun would represent his son and the marriage would represent christ reception of his bri the church christ reception of his kingdom and then it says the king arranged everything needed for this wedding and talks about how he had damn prepared the meal talks about my oxen my fetig catalogue killed all things already come to the wedding and then those who have first invited to come to the waiting they didn't wanna come every time they were invited they made me excuse and the 1 seed you know i can come because of this and another said i have a farm that in these take care of business some of those are invited took the servants of the king and killed them and treated them badly then it says but the king heard about this he was angry and he saint eddie's army to destroy those murderous burnt up the city those are the ones who were first invited dini city servants the wedding is ready but those who were invited are not worthy can go there fleeing to the highways and as many as you find invite them to the wedding so the servants when under the highways and the byways named vited all these people to come and the wedding hall was furnished with gas everybody was there seated waiting for the wedding to about to take place then it says the king came in any was examining all looking at the gas and he saw a man that was sitting there in the wedding all that didn't have on a waiting garment and the king said how did you coming here without the.
