Sorry Crypto Maximalists, But QE Is NOT The Devil - Alex Blum from Two Prime

"So topic number one. qe Is not the devil, right so Wednesday teasing the central banks fancy word for create new currency and why call Keynesian model. So. We'll just looking at the. The nausea has crypto was born as a reaction to the two thousand eight financial crisis. We can talk about the you can talk about the positive implications for crypto markets that was kind of interesting. I see I would think that the Qe is will be seen as. Positive full crypto is just that what we expect to happen terms of light hyperinflation and then bitcoin going to the moon that's not been happening. Yeah. And with twelve years into bunkers levels of Qe. So can you speak on that? Yes. So I think to start I think a lot of people in the space very little trust for. Governments. Fans `institutions, which basically set monetary policy and end up printing. new money. It's not out of the world. A lot of the growth of Western economies has come from quantity quantitive easing, fractional, banking, fractional reserve banking, and so what this last to do is Basically. Create new acids new opportunities and and put money into things without having everything directly backed by a piece of gold or some other kind of hard asset Actually what's made it possible for our economy to grow post gold and post slavery as a different model I think we're things run into issues when you create this new money and it goes to a junk so. The Super Leverage Politics that have no real value generating a real value and you get this collapse in believer faith in that in the underlying and as well as claps and faith in the money that represents it, and so truly question of allocation. If you do to easing and give the money to chucky cheese dollars, you're GONNA have a problem if the money goes to space exploration and developing new medical research and helping the poor in a way that is reasonable and actually creates value than you have. Okay. You know banks. Currently, they do publication where their lending out money to people to buy real estate. For example, the recently generating that money themselves and then were getting the money returned to them through. The return of principal plus interest, and so you can basically create and get it back plus some if it's done correctly. So. In terms of its relation to crypto space I mean. In the last twelve years obviously bitcoin his done quite well in the last year or two a little bit more flats. It's tough to I. Think Today we look at like bitcoin why isn't going up more but it's pretty astonishing that it exists at all and that it was able to take flight, and so you know you can kind of see this risk premium or maybe a extra. Now the in the price of all this kind of uncertainty especially the early days of Bitcoin. By quantitative easing or new money helps to move into the space. That I think in terms of the. Performance recently and like its relationship to new money printing in the US, for example. I. Think it's. Very early yet to say, that money hasn't come into the space or you we might have seen a giant collapse so they're not been quantitative easing. It's tough to know what to compare it to necessarily but It's not surprising that there's a bit of lag or not an exact timing of like new dollars per did in twenty cents immediately goes Debbie Bitcoin obviously there could be some time lag. Structure Market. Dynamics. That caused the price do not move exactly the same moment and probably a good thing that it's not completely dependent upon the money supply for the price of Bitcoin number just be another leveraged financial product just like any other make bitcoin anything special unique. Okay. Isn't that the argument though like This there's a delay. In between the creation of new currency and having an impact on prices. And The. Question is I think they'll answerable question about. Eighty degrees of that economic effect. Happens. And be will. No. One can tell how long it takes. To to actually have a real effect on relation. In the the question. Show in the. Bitcoin. World. We all love. The fish supply, right Twenty one, million goings. Will ever exist right all twenty, one, million of mind. But we know that that is the absolute guarantee monetary policy. That's most people are into crypto four and it can be changed. You know technically you can change the rules of the network, but it require mass consensus, which is highly unlikely to ever get past right because the bitcoin would lose its value since that's One of the tenants everyone's into it for so just purely by simplifying it. If. There's a pile of twenty, million bitcoin. The. Ratio a prices ratio between one asset. Another right. So if you trade against US dollars, you have a ratio with dolls and wanted to on the other. And if you took old dollars in existence will bitcoin existence and credit ratio than you've got. A bitcoin price say, right. Now, if you increase the supply on one side of the equation, he changed the price.

The Great Escapes with Life Death and Taxonomy

"If you've been staying inside as much as possible these past few months. That's a little easier to do now that the summer heat has fully set in your probably anxious to get out to fly the coop as it were. Animals who can fly should be getting out of zoos all the time. It would stand to reason. Though. usually therein enclosures netting across them, or they've had their wings clipped. That's a process of trimming off birds largest flight feathers, so they can't get enough. Lift when they flap which I'm probably going to end up doing to our backyard chickens if they don't knock off the free ranging. Birds generally stay in captivity pretty well, but of course there are exceptions to the rule or I wouldn't have brought it up. In two thousand, five and African Flamingo managed to get away from the Sedgwick county sue in Kansas. A massive search was launched, but The crabs backup singer was nowhere to be found. Until two thousand thirteen, when he was spotted, six hundred and fifty miles away on the Gulf coast of Texas among a flock of wild local flamingos. Bird watcher named Neil Hayward have been able to confirm the flamingos identity by the numbered band on his leg and offered to help recapture it. The Zoo essentially said I'm not even mad. I'm impressed and told the folks in Texas to leave the Flamingo to his new life with a mate who had herself escaped from a Mexican Nature Reserve. Anyone who's dealt with a parrot knows that they're too clever by half, and that certainly applies to Cuba the mccaw a resident of Vancouver's Zoos Parrot Gardens. Even, though the suet taken all precautions to prevent the parrots from escaping, it seemed that the clever girl was hell bent on getting out. On a pleasant Spring Day in two thousand nine zoo staff had moved the parrots to an outdoor enclosure. A little while later, their headcount came up short. The keepers weren't panicked. All the birds had their wings clipped. So how far could you have gotten? Surprisingly are considering. She hitched a ride in an RV. Juba got into a compartment near the vehicle's Engine Bay and hung out for three days before the family in Rv, found her. Luckily they were on one of the more stationary parts of their vacation and had only gone twenty miles, so it was barely out of their way to take what I'm assuming was a very annoyed parrot back to the zoo. Anyone who's watched? Jailbreak movie knows that you won't get very far without stealing a set of wheels. Try to imagine the end of the great escape without the motorcycles. No good. Even one? The Indian spectacle at the Berlin soon knew that. In two thousand and four, he rode a log across the moat, the rounds, the bear habitat and scaled a wall to freedom. Now that he was out, he had to use this time wisely. I stop the zoos playground. Terrified parents rushed their children away while one had a jolly go on the merry go round and went down the slide. After getting bored of that fairly quickly, one wandered off only to find a bicycle across his path. When he stopped to examine it perhaps to assess it for its usability as a getaway vehicle, the keepers who had put it there were able to track him and carry all three hundred pounds or one hundred and thirty six kilos of air to his habitat. And potentially dangerous could also describe a gator named Chuckie who got loose from the Alabama Gold Coast in two, thousand, four with a little help from Hurricane Ivan. Zookeepers hadn't been able to evacuate the gators and the storm surge destroyed their enclosure, setting them loose. Them meaning plural gators, though only chucky got any real publicity. Rapidly due to the fact that he was twelve feet or three point seven meters long and weighed about half a ton. That makes for better copy. Zoo officials weren't as worried about Chucky, going native, as they were of Chucky, going up to people expecting to be fed as he had for the past fourteen. Here's a situation that could get very ugly very fast. Luckily dedicated alligator retrieval team from gator land in Orlando was able to catch chucky less than a week later. Some animals get by with a little help from their friends or even from strangers. Three kangaroos staged a daring escape from a wildlife park near Frankfurt Germany. The name of whom I am now going to attempt to say. The hawksbill shoot par concert. It is what it is taken early vote. They escaped by going under the fence. Thanks to the work of a Fox and wild boar.

Getting Out Of Prison Sooner

"Alexis Nicholson, has this picture from when she was eight years old, so yeah, this picture means to me I've always had onto even though she's a piece of paper from chucky cheese. It's a picture from her eighth birthday party. There were a lot of people there, but this picture especial to Alexis because it's just her and her Dad Reggie there in a photo booth in their heads are up against each other smiling. Shaky cheese and I. don't really it's hard to talk about. Alexis is Reggie's only daughter. She's twenty five years old now, and she got this picture printed on a pink sweatshirt that she's wearing. I've always been a daddy's girl. You know what I mean so I've I've always been close to him? Even though he's always been far away, I guess you could say her. Dad was arrested not too long after that birthday party when he was just twenty five years old, according to transcripts, the police had shown up at Reggie's house in Oklahoma City because it's home. Burglary alarm had gone off Reggie wasn't home for it, but when he got there, his door was left, wide open and police were waiting outside. They had responded to the alarm. And Reggie told the cops they could go in look around, and while they were looking around, they found a shoebox with some drugs, money and a gun inside. And they arrested Reggie. I do remember when I got told. My grandma beats me up from school. And She was just like they got you. In I knew I knew she was talking to Bellboy at. Believe is so I asked her I said who I said WHO has she? The police do. The police found six hundred and thirty five grams of crack cocaine in the shoebox, which is a decent amount it would be like to soda worth of crack a little over a pound enough to be considered trafficking. This was in two thousand and three now. If you were caught with this exact amount of drugs today in Oklahoma. The most prison time you could get is twenty years so a long time. But the laws were much harsher back then, especially, because Reggie had been caught with drugs twice before, and that combination to drug convictions plus a trafficking conviction it carried one sentence and one sentence only the rest of your life at the trial. The prosecutor told the jury that life meant. They could give reggie a million years if they wanted. Mercy is for people who don't commit one crime. After another, the prosecutor said mercy he said is for the innocent. The jury gave Reggie Life in prison without the possibility of ever getting out, that was mandatory, but then the jury added another one, thousand, six hundred and fifty years after life, even though that's impossible, and even though he didn't do anything violent. For Lexus it was like she had to mourn. A living person is different from see somebody in a casket versus going to a prison in. You can't leave with the person that you WANNA. Leave with this breathing that the person has life. You know what I mean. This impossibly long sentence came out at a time when Democrats and Republicans were trying to top each other how tough they could be on crime especially on drugs, and even more especially on crack. They said someone like Reggie's should never come out but this. After seventeen years behind bars, reggie got the chance to do something. He never imagined he'd be able to. Your original Nicholson Nicholson Junior. Mr Nicholson. Could you give me your? Number please Sir Reggie got the chance to ask to be considered to be released from prison one day. Even though he was told, this would never be a possibility, but here he is before April board about to make his case. You recognize these folks. Asserts mom this. Magadan okay great they've this was in February. We were able to be there for this. For Reggie's parole hearing his whole family showed up off my dad. Also I didn't see this big back. That's my day her. For All in small conference room at a prison in Oklahoma City. Reggie's the only one appearing by video screen. Nicholson. Would you raise your right hand, please? Swear the testimony you will be before the board will be the true. This hearing was almost impossible to imagine twenty years ago and Reggie didn't get this opportunity because his case stood out. It didn't standout. Reggie dot before this board, because lawmaker said maybe we went too far, not just with Reggie with a lot of people.

The Show Must Go On: Wrestlemania Is Still Happening

"In the WWE. That is we say what our jobs are. Every day is to put smiles on people's faces all over the globe and we truly believe that and then this time maybe more than any other in in my memory people need those smiles right now more than anything that's WWE executive vice president. Paul Leveque better known as triple h talking about the decision to move forward with this weekend's wrestlemainia thirty six. It's the closest thing to live sports. That's happened in a wild but with no fans permitted the arena and concerns over the safety of the wrestlers and staff. What will the showcase of the immortals look like in the age of Corona virus? I mean at times. It's Friday April third this. Espn daily Greg. You're ready to talk wrassling. Damn Right Excel it talking about sports with funny named people trying to punch each other in the face. Greg Luzinski is a senior writer for. Espn you can check out. Lapsed Fan's guide to wrestlemainia on. Espn DOT COM. Yeah actually I wanted to ask you think. Most people know your name from hockey. How long have you been on the Wrestlemainia beat my wrestling a Bona Fides? Go back to when I was a we child watching Hulk Hogan and the more cartoonish W. F. which really sort of capture my heart as you know through the decades there have been times where it's been okay to say a wrestling fan and then sometimes when they've you don't mention it to a lot of people. I think we're in an okay dimension it part of wrestling right now. We're sort of a necessary to mentioned it portion because there's nothing else going on and wrestling is somehow improbably still happening. How is this even occurring? Well the way it's been occurring for the W. E. and their competition. A W which Ariza. Tnt network is that they've been holding shows in empty facilities but for me that means holding their weekly television programs raw and smackdown at the W. E. Performance Center a training facility in Orlando and what they've been doing literally holding it inside of an Empty Gymnasium. I'm the game triple agent. I would like to personally. Welcome you to the. Wwe Performance Center now. This show will be different from anything you've ever seen before. Sit Back Relax. And if you can't forget about the world around you and let. Wwe Do what we do. Let us put a smile on your face to start. That was a little bit awkward because the wrestlers would come out and they would look to the crowd. That wasn't there and they would do all of the usual pantomime they would do to get the fans excited except there was no fans getting excited. You see it doesn't matter if there's ten thousand fans at their zero fans because this is how I I remember that can only way I could describe it as it's like when you're at chucky cheese and the animatronic band starts playing into an empty room. It's still playing. It's still doing. Its own thing. But there's nobody that Iraq to it and that was like the first couple of weeks of this and also they've been utilizing more space around the performance center lake attacks in the parking lot and stuff like that to try to make it feel more than just trying to recreate something inside of an empty room derailed. Me With that chucky cheese analogy this. It's the it's the rock afire explosion ban. Greg get it right. There's nothing better than being in an empty room with the rock afire. Explosion Band and just hearing the gears clunk together. It's jarring but also satisfying so wrestlemainia. Thirty six is happening on Saturday. What was the original plan for the event the original plan was to hold wrestlemainia? Thirty six at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and this was going to be a huge event for those who don't know it's not just simply wrestlemainia. Inside of a stadium. It is an entire city being overrun by. Wwe events you have the Access Fan Festival you have the WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony. Where wrestlers of old honored and put into a virtual hall of fame. Physical building doesn't exist quite yet and then also after Wrestlemainia the next day on Monday. It's tradition to hold Monday night raw in that same city so this isn't just simply one event on a on a on a Saturday night for The city of Tampa. It was a whole citywide sort of celebration for wrestling as of March. Third The W. E. and Tampa's mayor said there were no plans to postpone the event the W. E. said look the health safety of our fans and performance of our top priorities. But we remain committed to hosting Wrestlemainia at Raymond. James Stadium fast forward to March twelfth. Now you have Hillsborough County's commissioner less Miller saying he'll probably have to cancel wrestlemainia if the. Wwe doesn't make the decision itself because of the virus pandemic governor Rod Santa's that points that cities and counties should cancel mass gatherings over the next thirty days and so it was becoming a worse than worse. Look for W. E. to keep wrestlemainia scheduled framing Jamie Stadium on March sixteenth. They made the decision not to have upwards of sixty five seventy thousand people come to a stadium during a virus outbreak and instead moved into their performance center in Orlando. It's a two night event April fourth and April Fifth. How has wwe justified or explained their decision to go on with us? Well there's the public explanation and then there's the assumed explanation that the public explanation according to the WWe is that it is for the fans the fans are the lifeblood of the organization it is a panacea the fans to be able to hold this event. It is going to give them some comfort in a time of confusion and trouble. It's also going to be arrested for the performers themselves who you know are looking for some direction or looking for some focus in life during uncertain times. And that's sort of the the public explanation for this. If you know about the wrestling business you know that part of this is the fact that story lines that are going to have their big payoff. At wrestlemainia are a month long process. All the story lines all the action. They all run through. Vince McMahon they are on one track. And they're going to stay on that track through hell or high water. These are storylines narratives that the W has been planning to wrap up in culminate at Wrestlemainia happens every year and then they kind of moved to new stuff after that so from a function process to have wrestlemainia occur and wrap up which are the signature feuds and storylines of their season. If you will was a pretty important thing was there any blowback to all of this. Yeah I think there has been some in the rest in wrestling circles amongst wrestling reporters and and amongst the fans wondering okay. We are looking around the sports world. We're looking around the entertainment world. We're seeing literally every pro league every concert tour Disney on ice everything canceling out of concern about corona virus and yet professional wrestling roles on as a weekly television product so there is a bit of confusion. There're two why this continues while every other facet of sports entertainment seems to have stopped. What about amongst the wrestlers did any of them have reservations about participating in this one particular did so wrestler by the name of Roman reigns one of the bigger stars and WWe had a very highly publicized battle with leukemia? He left in October. Two thousand eighteen returned to WWE IN FEBRUARY. Two thousand nine thousand nine hundred and he's compromised so news started to break recently through some of the quote unquote dirt sheets in wrestling. The ones who report the rumor. Innuendo that Roman reigns was not going to be participating in his scheduled match against Goldberg for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemainia. Wwe basically said hey look. This is understandable situation. The health and safety of our performers paramount Sakiz. The biggest name that we know will not be participating but quite frankly until we see what events they air this weekend we won't know who else may have decided to pull out or had to be quarantined or any of that nature because they're being very clandestine about what the card will actually be the first wrestlemainia. That's taking place over multiple nights. It's also the first wrestlemainia that is going to be completely pretaped. So when did they take this weekend's event and what steps did they take to ensure the safety of the wrestlers in the people working on it? It's been a race against time for me. As I mentioned the performance center is in Orlando Florida Orlando Florida. Recently issued a stay at home order March twenty sixth that really closed out all the essential businesses. Just like we've seen all over the country so the WBZ has been racing. It's time to not only record wrestlemainia matches but also record. Future television matches programming as well as far as the safety of the wrestlers. It is a closed control facility. Stephanie McMahon the daughter of owner Vince McMahon who is the brand manager for WWe said to variety. Recently there's extensive testing screening. When you first come into the facility regardless of whether you're a talent crew member or anyone else if you have a temperature taken and you have a temperature over a hundred point four degrees you're automatically asked to leave also any wrestlers de out of the country or in contact anybody who's been out of the country you're not actually allowed to enter the facility. Either so they are taking some safety measures as far as trying to make sure anyone exhibiting symptoms isn't allowed in the facility or anyone who might have been exposed to corona virus through travel or relationships isn't allowed in the facility. Which is you know what you see from other companies as well but obviously there's no way to be sure without Virus testing whether anybody actually has the center of city so they tape this before the stay at home order. Does that mean this is going to be the last big event like this or is this something they're going to keep on doing? There is a lot of sort of mystery as to how these wrestling organizations are going to continue to keep on doing their thing. I'm not sure what the regulations mean for the performance in Orlando. I don't know if this is GonNa be it for their use facility or not. I can't tell you that. Eighty w their competition with also filming inside of an empty facility in Florida's well and there was news this week that they're gonNA be taking their show to some undisclosed to record matches going forward so I don't know if it's GonNa be a shell game where these companies have to start going to the few places around the country that don't have restrictions in place or what have you. But it's clear from both cases that even though they're putting a bunch of their product in the bag right now in our taping matches and episodes for future use on television. The show apparently is going to go on

How Does Saturn Work?

"The Planet Saturn takes its name from a Roman God of agriculture and of all the planets revolve around our sun. It's cultivated if you will the greatest ring system by far shining rings filled with ice dust and rock orbit its equator. The whitest one called the phoebe ring has an outer edge. That's millions of miles away from Saturn itself. For comparison the average distance between Earth and our moon is a paltry two hundred thirty nine thousand miles or three hundred eighty four thousand kilometers once again. Astronomy PUTS THE HUMAN EGO IN CHECK. Saturn's rings get all the attention but we shouldn't ignore its other attributes the sixth planet in our solar system. It's also the biggest after Jupiter. Those two are in a league of their own. If you mushed every planet from Mercury to Neptune together Saturn and Jupiter would account for over ninety percent of the cumulative mass of that planetary mass but despite its immense size Saturn is the least dense planet in the sun's orbit and the spherical to. We'll need to look at. Its physical makeup to understand why research published in two thousand nineteen showed that a day on Saturday and lasts just ten hours thirty three minutes and thirty eight seconds. It's spin rate helps explain one of the ring. World's stranger qualities is he. Saturn is ten percent wider than it is tall. A difference of over seven thousand miles or nearly twelve thousand kilometers. Astronomers call that kind of disparity an equatorial bulge every planet in the solar system has one but Saturn's is the most extreme saturn rotates around its axis at a very high speed. Hence the brevity stays. And here's where density comes into play like. Jupiter Saturn is a gas giant such worlds predominantly consists of hydrogen and helium and whereas Earth is solid on. The outside gas. Giants are not they may however have hard intercourse now. Saturn is downright huge in terms of volume. Some seven hundred sixty four earth sized objects could fit inside of it and the planet is ninety five times as massive as our home world and yet relative to its size. Earth is eight times more dense. In fact water yes. Plain water is denser them Saturn although that doesn't mean the planet would float. It's not cohesive enough so thanks to its low. Low density zippy rotational. Speed Saturn's been deformed into a oblong world that looks kind of squished in profile Jupiter's southern hemisphere famously has an ongoing storm called the great. Red Spot Saturn's answer to. This is the great white spots which are periodic tempests that arise every twenty thirty Earth Years I detected in eighteen seventy six. These weather events are colossal scale ness as Cassini spacecraft spent thirteen productive years hovering around Saturn on December fifth of two thousand ten. It witnessed the most recent iteration of the great white spot phenomenon. The storm was about eight hundred miles by sixteen hundred miles long when it first began. That's about thirteen hundred twenty five hundred kilometers but over the next six months. The spot expanded Longitudinal early until it had looped itself around the planet in a gigantic circle. Some researchers think the great white spots might be part of a cycle that sees the outer layer Saturn's atmosphere slowly lose heat allowing the warm air from lower levels to burst upward. Meanwhile Saturn's North Pole. There's a cloud pattern shaped like giant hexagon. This pleasantly symmetrical jet stream spins counterclockwise measures about twenty thousand miles or thirty two thousand kilometers across and includes a hurricane. That's been swirling right over the poll ever since it was discovered back in Nineteen eighty-eight. Of course it's not the hexagon earned Saturday. A place on. Chucky festers T. shirt you know from rugrats anyway. The gas giant is most famous for the spectacular ring system encircling it a planetary rings aren't rare per se Jupiter Uranus and Neptune. Have the well yet. In terms of sheer scale network around Saturn is totally unrivaled. Most of the primary rings come with letter names. The closest one to Saturn is called the D ring which has an inner radius of about forty two thousand miles or sixty seven thousand kilometers a lot closer than our moon. It's surrounded by these C B A F G and earrings in that order by the way. The rings aren't arranged Alphabetically. Because the naming system reflects the dates of their discovery Abmc recited before the rest when measured from its outside edge. The earring showcases an impressive. Three hundred thousand mile radius or four hundred and eighty thousand kilometers. Or at least that looks impressive until you get to know the big bad fearing that. We mentioned earlier. I spotted in two thousand nine. This one was named after one of Saturn's moons untold trillions of ice rock dust particles. Make up these rings. Some bits are the size of a sugar grain. Others could probably Dwarf Your House in any case. The ring material is stretched. Remarkably thin Saturn's rings may be as thick as two miles or kilometers wide. Found just thirty two feet or ten meters wide so proportionately. The gas giants iconic rings thinner than a typical sheet of writing paper as noted by Astronomer. Phil plait whereas Saturn itself is probably around four point five billion years old. The age of its rings isn't as clear. Some scientists think that they were formed ten million to a hundred million years ago when an icy comet or some ice covered moons came too close to the planet. The visitor or visitors would have met a grisly end. Getting ripped to pieces by Saturn's gravity as those fragments collided they grew smaller and multiplied giving rise to the skinny but brilliant system. We all know today on the other. Hand a twenty. Nineteen paper argued that the rings might have originated at an earlier stage in the history of our solar system. We'll have to see how the debate unfolds as new evidence arises. There's lots about this planet that we're still learning in October of two thousand. Nineteen the international astronomical. Union heralded the discovery of twenty newfound moons orbiting the gas giant with these bodies added to the mix. There are now eighty two verified. Saturn moons altogether no other planet in the solar system has that many natural satellites not even mighty Jupiter. You can find Saturn's moons in around and beyond the ring system before Cassini was retired in two thousand seventeen it revealed that some of them gather clumps of ice and dust. From the Rings Saturn's Moon Titan is especially well-named it's our solar system second-biggest moon overall and it's dotted with seas lakes and rivers of liquid methane and pain. There's only one other body within the Sun's orbit that has standing pools of liquid that we know about. And here's a hint. You're sitting on it right now. Tighten is also noteworthy for having an atmosphere and it's theorized that there could be ice volcanoes that spew water instead of lava like Earth Saturn gets auroras at its poles. They're invisible to the unaided human eye. But the Cassini spacecraft and the Hubble Space Telescope have captured footage of them using infrared and ultraviolet

Philadelphia police investigate claim that Flyers' mascot Gritty punched a teenage fan in the back

"This week has been a great time for mascots mostly because were seen that in Philadelphia an article about Grady he may be the most popular mascot in the United States at least in the NHL as someone that has hit the scene just a year ago he hit it hard and people are going crazy they just like how weird he is he's like one of those Muppet you see a Chucky cheese that goes up and dance so he's very shaggy looking mischievous but during a fan event he may have done something Nadi and this was an interview I had earlier with the author that joining us now is a writer for the inquire in Philadelphia Christian Patrick thank you so much for coming on to KMOX thanks for having me so there is this a story that took the internet by storm I found out about it on Twitter first headline did gritty punch a thirteen year old boy in the back Philadelphia detectives are investigating Grady being the mascot for the Philadelphia flyers you kinda I want to know how you learned about this to begin with and what we know about this story sure so I actually learned about this while reporting a different story I cover Comcast which is the parent company of the flyers and so I was reporting a totally different story that involves reaching out the flyers fan and in doing so I made contact with this particular flyers fan a father who that I'll actually something crazy happened with my side he was punched in the back bike ready and and I went there you know report the story from barrack contact police and and look at documents they provided by interested enough I was not looking for this story I just about fell in my lap yeah it just fell in your lap now this happened at the before the season started so it was a fan fast that the season ticket holders were invited to they took photographs with Grady and one of the things that transpired afterwards from what I understand maybe you can tell me what is being alleged at this point sure he didn't even take a holder of that bag out of exclusivity and pick a holders where they get an opportunity to sort of pose for a picture or get a fake I'm a gritty who as you mentioned is is this really popular mascot and as as did the gentleman Chris how's that he has signed catch gritty on the helmet a few times after the photo shoot and you know according to credit gritty sort of responded by punching the kid in the back of course the flyers I should know yeah there's no proof of that it is just an investigation but from there you know the father he tries to ask why they take you to the special from my side to sort of make up for that the nurse on the back and forth he asked for it was ready video footage of that what you guys do investigation and mostly officials the flyers day that there's no video footage of it the cameras were not focus on those areas no witnesses that we interviewed kind of confirm your story the we're still offering to do you know these different things your side by alternately the kind of talk sort of broke down and about a month later the father filed a complaint with the Philadelphia police department and as police told me two days ago is there still investigating the case wow have you ever heard of any other allegation against Grady so I think we ask police if there's been any other allegations of assault against green they said there's been no others and this is the first one that at least Philadelphia police are aware out have you ever had the opportunity to meet the mascot pretty not up close I have gone a flyers game type in the same arena but I've never like shaking his hand or or are they particularly because the voice you know like you know from afar yeah he's got an interesting character he seems to play things a little bit more aggressive he likes the odd ball nature of it you know he's on Twitter people follow him he's kind of like talks like cookie monster in a way you know the the weird way that he will sentence sentences get together so in general he someone that's out there a lot he someone at the internet knows about I think some people when they heard about this they said yeah that sounds in character for Grady you know the interesting thing about all of this is that it's with all of the cameras around and all the people around for an event like this no one else witness this sort of thing so it does kind of judge cast a little bit of doubt to the story some people are wondering why it took so long if you were going to press charges why would you in a month do something like that I'm so it sounds like there are some things in this story that would cast some doubt into what really happened all yeah the time line is interesting I mean as you as you noted he he filed the complaint a month later he filed the complaint after again he has this exchange with wires employees in which yeah we ask for video footage of the attack he doesn't get it fire say that that the video but he's just not there the ask for yeah meetings executives and you know Sir and I think something special with adverse side and sell it after after that exchange that that he he goes to the police yeah he did he says that he would try to work something out with the flyers he he did he had been hired a lawyer he said he has no plans to stay and he was just trying to work without the team and I out according to the gentlemen Chris three well it was it was after that you could get this video footage after he couldn't work things out the team that he ultimately decided he was gonna go to Philly I'm Christian had for joining us here a reporter for the choir I wonder did you get a chance to talk to Chris green well the father yes yes I did I did speak with into the story yeah so when you had a chance to sit down and and actually speak with him what's his story pretty convincing what what was your impression of the interview all my my impression is usually very passionate about you know I I I don't want to like it yeah thank you I right when I don't make that judgment call about who who's right yeah he said great that I but I will say that he was like he he he there was anger you years passion about you know actually what reason I I don't know but you know you leave it I guess maybe the word would be animated you now I like it he he he didn't sound like there was that like yeah I'll give even someone like Mel about it he ate my way you may start to talk about you know what what he claimed it happened he you know in the beginning I guess maybe emotional are you know if you knew something was up that again I guess yeah I can but and I can see it both ways if you love the team in your a big time fires fan so much so you're buying season tickets you support the team in many financial ways that you go to the games all of these things I can understand why you'd be in a tough place because you don't want to do something to get something you love so you'd want to work it out maybe that's why there could be some motivation hold off on it it is a little bit where that no one witnessed it they'll so it is a tough he said she said and I understand did you actually try to reach out to gritty for comment I mean you know through the wires back and and and and through other means I yes I I did try to make contact with yeah yeah pretty obvious that the fictional character so I try to act and I threw it you know the person who was in this costume but obviously I end up getting a statement from from the team yeah well what happens next is a pretty much where where it is it's going to stay this way or do you anticipate something else breaking open in this one I would suspect given that that gritty is a public figure that once the determination has been made I would expect the police to make that public they either police would say you know yelled you are good at yeah there there's there's Rossi these claims or there's not I don't think police wait Cadillac this sort of like does like weather and and and kind of be like on Star in like you know I wonder what happened I think we will eventually get there the definitive conclusion from police on this one they you know better investigation given how high profile ready yet I wonder if there's going to be in the gritty sightings in Saint Louis this weekend because we're hosting the all star game here in Saint Louis we've seen a couple of their mascots posting up on Twitter pictures around the town so we'll have to keep an eye out I'm I'm not sure if he's traveling or not well if you see there and if they are probably give me a call reporter for the Enquirer Christian hat trick thank you so much for spending sometime with us an

"Terry, Lance are always found a way to survive in the end nothing. No creature no personal supernatural, being no army could somehow kill him. Think about that per second. Right. That doesn't make him like the ultimate rival again. He's the ultimate one of the bad asses. And how does he end up? You don't hand of the king. Right. This is crazy. How does Tyrian uses survive sort of, you know, let's talk about how does he uses survivability to win this fight? Well, again, I use it before I talk about psychology. Right. So Tyrian matches the violence that physicality and the fighting savagery and the conning that's needed for the moment he taps into it. Okay. When he killed the commander, I mentioned that before on the battlefield he uses insane savagery. He just runs up to the guy chops off his leg and then chops them in the bind till with an so he's dead. And just all right. Follow me man. You know that was cold. Calculating. He was a monster. He was absolutely psychotic. I mean he was almost like smiling when he kills his father with a crossbow he did it in a cold manner. Just like, yeah, no, we're done phone when he strangled I think it was his name, his romantic interest with, like just a scarf. Yeah, it was rough, it was right. He was crying while doing so because he was he did we had to physically to match, but just to see how the emotional content survivability and the tactics when it's time for him to be a monster. He's a monster when time going to be a psychopath done when time for him to be the hero. He's good to go. So he'll actually use that. The reason why survives because he matches what he needs for the moment. Right. And he understands how to play. He's that smart. So final point with Terry Lancers bad Asri is insane and ability to manipulate people, which I still think is a big thing. Chucky specific susceptibility to be manipulated and having ability to survive the gore and bloodshed of eight frequencies of games of game of thrones. I just don't see a way the terrier Lancaster loses to Chucky and that's my point number three. And that's a lot of goodness that you said, right there. Look, I am. I am not here to disparage, Tyrian Lancaster. This is a fantastic character. I just happen to believe in this particular case in this particular battle. He just doesn't quite have enough to win the day against a killer voodoo doll questions. I have when he attacked Taiwian his father with the crossbow, did he did. He meet him in a field of battle stand toe to toe and heavy fight with him or did he catch him on the toilet unawares? He pulled a Chucky and waited until the person was in a horrible position. And then use cold calculating non like, barely emotional registry to take them out. And this to my point, you brought that up that Chucky does those things as a negative. And yet, when you brought up that example you left out the fact that he did the exact same tactic himself. That's what I'm saying. He can match that savagery that, that killing whatever you wanna call it that, that, that instinct when the, when the when the moment declares for it to be necessary. And I would also point out, you say he survived eight seasons of game of thrones. That is one hundred percent. Correct. Spoiler alert. But he didn't survive it through his battle prowess for the most part. He has ski survived through politics. He got inside the air in the minds of the right people and manipulate them to do the things he needed them to do to put himself in a position to escape. Okay. That's not going to help them in this situation. We've established that he's really not going to be able to manipulate Chucky, a whole heck of a lot, and he's not going to be able to turn Chucky to some weird extra purpose that's going to serve Tyrian, and that's really his go to move a lot of these situations. The last thing I would say this before we render judgment is I believe that the way that this battle is going to go is Tyrians going to do his number one thing survive. I think that necessarily Chucky might not kill Tyrian Lancaster..

"So we're going to go with it. Okay. Because he's been able to do a lot of different voodoo magic as the series progressed he has. And I wanna lean on that because I think as a magical being that puts him a huge leg up on a human being was he able to just transfer his soul to someone else. And he thought it was supposed to be the first person he revealed himself. He, he is tried multiple times with multiple people throughout the child's play movies, and generally, what's up. It hasn't worked. Well, the problem is he keeps getting interrupted by other people may problem that will not happen in a one on one. Encounter. Give me the power. I beg of you. Here's the thing, even if he does transfer like what's it's, it's Tyrian and Chucky. There's no one else there. Right. So who's he transferred any and by the way, when we when we did venom versus hell boy, how did we say, would work if then them, who's possessing Eddie Brock, venom, then possessed hell boy, does that mean then if any real nebulous real quick got real weird. The point came to be that if he took over hell boy for any length of time and Eddie Brock was taken out of that battle that help boy was gonna win that fight. That is what we agreed to in the moment. Okay. So I've got a question is there has it ever been stated because I'm not quite sure if this if Chucky takes over your body does that soul, then completely diminish, or, or is it like a trap, like, is it a whole Bruce banner type it in my mind the way in, I'm not even thinking that this is going to be necessarily the way he defeats in Lancaster. I think it's going to be stabbing. I really do. I think it's going to be stabbed from putting his, his soul in the host of a lot of other objects around him and attacking him on mass. If, if he can't just overpower immer trick him into submission to begin with. If for example, he was, too. I it's really nebulous, if he was to take over the soul of Tyrian Lancaster, it's not one hundred percent with the soul is trapped inside forever. Or if it just disappears in his pooped out of reality, but, I would I would I would just say, if he took over, Terry Lancers body and walked away, leaving the Chucky empty husky but Chucky doll behind that's kind of a victory, he has won the day. And I think you could safely say he achieved victory in those in those conditions. Not sure agree with that, but I can't bring a lot to disagree with that. And it's like it's, it's real nebula said, I'm not gonna lean on that, too heavily that to be known as a thing that's out there, not exactly where I think this fight is going to be won or lost. Okay. So example of power more than these specifics takes place in like the chamber room of Tyrian Lancaster, or in the game of thrones like root realm in a room somewhere in that say, low tech environment, the higher ticket goes, the more. I think and this is up to the judge determine where it takes place. But definitely the more elect, because Chucky knows about this stuff to make it a little more fair. We generally in the course of these battles Damian, Wayne versus Arya stark for example, same kind of deal. We dumbed down the environment..

"Very very quickly. He's deceptively fast given given what you would expect from him. So new one shot, he's been able to straight razor, this military, Barbara. So he was a soldier and he was able to kill him with that straight razor or right away a couple other feats. He strangled man to death with jumper cables. I mean, the fact that he is a two foot doll who's over. Powering grown adults means a lot to me in this battle, I believe when it comes to strength. He has strength beats that will exceed the things that Tyrian Lancaster has done, even though he's coming from behind finally, he wants took a hatchet and knocked off a man's, jaw clean off these like when he gets the moment. And he has that moment of violence. He's one of those guys who holds back and holds back. Then when, when it's the moment he's like a trap door spider. They act all innocence. Oh you can't I I would never hurt you. It's time for the stabbing dude gets to stab stabbing. And it hurts said he takes that person down one time after another. So and one thing that, I think both of these characters would have working towards them that will negative each other in this battle is the ability to not be taken. Seriously as a threat until it is too late. And both of them, I'm sure have great examples and I know this respect. I'm sure have examples of them taking that underestimation and running it to the moon and killing their target. That is my point. Number one here here's the thing. I actually think I read this that Chucky has the strength of. An adult male. Yes. Which it actually kind of impressive. Because he's, you know, this kid's toy you know that's about two three feet tall. So that's that is pretty. I'd say says pretty cool. You know, it's funny Chucky has red hair has, you know, some weird mental issues and kind of over exaggerates like hand motions and things that they're great and half psychosis. I'm just saying Joseph, if you take a look to your right, okay. Describe that character named rates me right now. He's. Yeah. I see. Ray is a shockingly handsome man. I've already shocking in that you would say handsome, or both shockingly, handsome, and handsomely, shocking. But yes, red hair Chucky had a beard, man. I'll bet ask other crazy, right? Yeah. I mean shock he's got good race. Got good arguments for what he says, in the show, raise handsome like the way you described, like a woman from northern Ontario from where I'm from, that's a very handsome woman right there. So I, I'd give that to them I give that to. All right. I'm not disagreeing with anything you're saying, really because these are great points. They're, they're okay points. I've heard better in my allowed to please. Yes. You need to because it was perfect. But if you want to ruin it. That's when you said, Cecchi, strangled, a man with jumper cable, jumper cables, I believe, that's in child, the first child play when he doesn't actually kill him, but he strangles him. And he's able to overpower him with the junk cables, and effectively eliminate him as a threat. Well, that cop survives, I believe. Yeah. Go on. So he you, you said he strangled him to death. I might have added the two. We should say great technical raise name. It's fake news. Okay. For middle name. That accident because I was in the moment. So I will. Listeners at home. Karma passionate. Also, to your point, though. What really happens break. It was it was a trained officer of the law, which actually would get me a little more credence. I would believe, but what that does bring to mind is that Cecchi was able to take a butcher knife through an entire car like a tire, like a driver's seat of a car. His grandma's impale and cash straight that, man. What you remember? That was a while. It was from a young boy trying void the, the, the mutilation of those areas when possible battle. But yes that is a thing. Okay. But I just wanted to make sure you said he strangled him to death. You know what I deserve correction there? And I thank you for it. Okay. You should.

"He's out of control, but there was a point in the beginning just a little bit. You got a little sympathy for Chucky. Sure. Because isn't so much. He's evil is just that he doesn't understand, hit, Chuckie didn't ask Chuck is like forty and toy store key was evil. Jabbing people head, killing people. They would be Chucky fork. He asked for none of this. He didn't wanna be here. Chuck is just confused, the movies, even kind of a message film, at the beginning about how to raise your kids, and what, what you expose them to Chuck, you just as innocent, and people like people just laugh at these movies where. Killing people horribly and Chuck just kinda like well shit. I just wanna bring joy to the world to maybe I should cut people opening it have blood all over the room people. Love it. Yeah. You guys like that, right? Yeah. Chuck Chuck is a sympathetic character. It kinda airy very much so a little bit. Yeah. Absolutely. And that's also where you like this things ugly. Like you would just throw this away, but it shows bond builds between them where you're like, okay, I get it. It's hard like the kids, even crying because he's he doesn't want to leave Chucky side, or, you know, even hurt them and stuff like that. It's even shut where they Chucky got a time out. That's. Got a time out Chucky with just sitting in the corner. He, he was all said, little mouth with curled up. I don't like it here, Andy and his lay damn man. If you just went killing people. I will be with you on your side killed. One guy, let him slide. They really did try to brush them shit under the rug too. Alaikum that much. It's okay. He's not Vasan, but they promise you won't do it again. And that's one of these make you make you mad about Chucky man because it gets to point where Chucky don't understand to Chucky just doing what he wanted to Chucky. Chucky saying fuck you fuck you Chucky going do. What Chuck, you want, do you give me all these mixed signals? I'm running things because there's a point Andy with tears in his eyes. He said Chucky, please. We got a good thing. Don't ruin this it. We got sucking, please stop suck. Chucky just doubles down after that. I'll tell me to stop invective, you ain't my friend ain't nobody going to be your friend. I'm killing everyone. Gotta say, one of the things that they did in the movie man that I thought, if you're gonna go, this route kinda stupid as router them Chucky being an online. That just a toy, but an appliance you gonna go this route of Chucky being appliances plugged down plugged in online all the time. Like you say, murderous Syria? Alexa, then I said this in the trailing. I'm not gonna when we when reviewing the trail not gonna reveal what I say they're almost anything but I did say take advantage of that. You could see the trailer where he's plugged in and taking taking control of things in this, this, the store, which has a lot of appliances in it. And I thought go just go all out with that on. They did it enough here. But, you know, probably because of budgetary constraints, but they, they did get creative with it. Where Chuck is always connected in can connect to other things got creative with that with the kills and got creative with other characters when he was able to do that. I thought that was kinda cool. Yeah, it really opened the door to what they were able to do. And not just keep it where he's, he's the slasher and this and that. Like the Chucky is like oh, yeah. He's, he's everywhere. And you really feel that as well that inks would. Yeah..

Do you won't Chucky plugged into the system? We want Chucky online all the time Serey. That's right. That's what it is right here, it is buddy because with this new Chucky that we got. There's new Chucky is it's kind of a combination of, of the Terminator in an iphone app. You know what you think about it? And I gotta say before we get into this. I am a fan of child's play in some Louis Charles play series. Not all of them. In those movies have always had sort of since humor, to them, even the first one, the first one was more after the first one. The first one was more of a of, of lethal har-, but even then Chucky, you know, what his jokes and everything Chucky was as serious as they were trying to beat. Chucky was just kind of a paint sized free. Krueger right down to the striped shirt. Yeah. Yeah. And everybody knows the story is, you know, this is the one where the soul of a killer, whose voiced by Brad Dorf, the voice of a killer, is I'm sorry, the soul of a killer through voodoo is actually put into a kid's toy because he shot by the police, and before he bleeds out he dies. He transfers his soul into this toys. Now, you'd think any self, you get a second chance in life. You think that, well you know what? Maybe term life around actually trying to do some good days. No, no. I got a second chance. Someone's take lives chance to take more biscuit. Lots of what I'm best at doing. And in that with this one is just like it looks. You got this. You got this, this doll toil, which functions as an app for pretty much your smart home. I can't help is the future of what but he seems to be plugged into a lot of things this company. It's not the same thing as the battle cry scream, though, which is unfortunate. There's more doll fighting writers Chucky, you think he's dead? But he's not obviously shovel fight. Yeah. And she's burnt by. She's like she's all burnt, Chris, Chris Christie, disgusting. How does she kill him? I mean she steps on the back. But is that the end of him or who Chucky? Oh, no. We'll she so also at some point Chucky has thrown a knife into jesse's bag, right? Which doesn't kill him, which your damning damaging the merchandise. Right. This point. I think he's given up on the mission burn. But then it's like she'd knocks Chucky into the grave, and they pull the ladder up right? So he's stuck down there. Like, hey, get me out of here. Hey kinda thing and then she also dies, and she's like bleeding like doll blood happening. Yes. Doll blood, which vigor get more falls over. And then this cop comes at a nowhere. This detective carries kind of in news reports here and there like a little bit so fucking stupid, because he's like, he's never going to believe this fucking demon doll. Okay. You kids can just go to go to different state. I know you have a fucking knife wound. I'm not going to attend to or call paramedics you just go home. Go got no questions. No question whatsoever. The, the only way this works is if he's like I knew he was going to come back every, every dollar went missing from the evidence lockers waiting for the like every toy store, e bay. Wait. He's the Chucky detective, what I just need like two or three scenes of him cold on the trail. They can be like minutes long appeasers, something that's what would happen in the movie report of, of murderous. Fuck it. I'm not gonna bullshit straight Bullshits in New Jersey Scully. Let's not go skelly. I think the Nick games on local PD can handle. Oh, and also Katherine, hi go right in front of this cop has this like shock under some shit, and she blows Chuck, you. That's how that goes. And he's dead the cop though, does have this hilarious line a line. Really? But it's a good delivery of a reaction when he first comes up to the grave. He looks down. He sees the Dalai just goes whoa. What the fuck it's kind of a nice, whatever we, then he just lets them. He's like, all okay. I've put it together. Now you were on the Lam but is because of these curse adults dot it. If, if he was the Chucky detective when he like see the dog like this is my thesis. Oh, hey. It was it was murderous. Dolls, why don't you leave on your way out? Why don't you burn my pension because I'm not gonna get that. I am going to be discharged, disgracefully from the four absolutely forty years down the drain. I just bought myself an unmarked grave..

"And I guess it's dick can get hard. You know it's already hard. You're have the explanation for Anki. So is Hank you with the start of this bride of Chucky, and it looks at least like the next few Zeke was, which I have not seen and will not watch unless I am forced to do. So for this program, you will be. What this movie starts off doing. A lot more of which the original three movies have a little bit here. And there this movie's desperately trying to be a horror comedy. Yes. So that's why it's like now I gotta fucking dick. So I make dick jokes. It's a Larry. Is that scary? It young. Let's start kept murder. He Chucky takes the lip ring out, and then just suffocate sir. And it's like suffocated a slasher movie. No fucking way. No, let's do it doll sitting on pillow, which guess what? I'm not getting suffocated by that the, the weight relation. Yeah, this little yeah, what the hell just throwing control. She is handcuffed to the bed, but still I could get a fucking. I know you could make the argument like Brad d'oeuvres soul. Weighs more we've learned from other films that only weighs twenty one grams of Solway twenty one grams. So that's not adding enough to suffocate anyone I thought at looks. was like faking it. Yes, we to she's gonna wake up and just creeped out here. Yeah. No. But so Damian is murdered but it's also weird because like later in the movie like a lot of it is like this dolls, like, punching doing stuff like. Adul- wouldn't have the strength to cut into human flesh with a knife. That's true. You know what I mean? But they do bring the first movie when Chucky kicked hits the lady out the door like it's sense that there is some force. I guess, I think ant man, what's happening here is like you're just like oh, it's because of the Black Magic's whenever Chucky does something like that. It's because the wizard. Yeah, exactly. So we're introduced to ding-dong. It's David and some gay comedy here, this character David John Ritter, who's in his movies, like the sheriff's Yash stepdad of our female protagonists, which is Jade played by Catherine Heikal. I will be both. I, I will say that the gay comedy, here is not mocking of the fact I was expecting it go that way really quickly..

"Started over exactly as opposed to who I want to keep killing you know what the serial killer Wait Nate. for me noble actor now, maybe Joe Tian Joe Pantoliano my God is the great example of what we were talking about. If you if Chucky had actually come back bread, Charles Ray had come back and Andy, and then Andy grip to be discussed. You could grow up to look like Joe Pinto. What to make sure that the growth spurt happens? Trust me, everybody. You wanna make sure that have now Joe before we put you in this body. You should know you're going to be in a bunch of VOD productions that ignorance is bliss. The dolls eating steak. We do find out that apparently Chucky does not have a bump. No, I never knew this genitals. This child's Toya's genitals is okay. What did they built like the factory made a good guy? Doll have genital remember the first one where like good guy doll has a real penis. Before we recorded this episode. I watched like thirty minutes of the original film, we by now we've already done our Chicago show. Yeah, it was great. It was so great. Thank you, everyone for coming really fantastic the cake. By the way. Yeah. Of his prized. It wasn't poisoned. You didn't have to throw confetti, like I it was nice, but you didn't need to do it. Jessop apparently, he's just got a dick and balls. Which I don't understand how this happened unless it was added later. I think that's the new curse. It's. Like maybe there was like, he does the voodoo line to get himself putting a doll, and he adds on another line, and give it a dick and like hoodoo magic expands the body like a t t one thousand with plastic. And with these now I got that how, you know, bring my life back into this. How do I give it a penis? Is there is there a spell for that or follow up curse?.

Summer Movie Preview

"The movies of summer twenty nineteen. What is out there? What's going to happen? And I've got to start by saying you think maybe that summer begins on your calendar near the end of June. But not in Hollywood everything in Hollywood begins early because summer is when they make all the money that they can make all year. So officially April twenty six it's the beginning of summer because the movie that opens on that day is called a ventures endgame. This is three hours long. Nobody's gonna care. I predict that not only will this be the biggest box office hit of the summer, but it will be the biggest box office hit of the year. You remember what happened last time all the ventures or at least half of them seem to turn to dust than die mean? Now have those ventures that are left to signing if they can beat the evil fan. He so evil will the adventures be wiped out forever. Look how much money did these movies make I'm saying why would you basically kill the golden goose? This is going to continue in some way, we all know it. So what else is out there? I'm looking at my list. There's a major thing going on now of in terms of taking the Disney slash Pixar animated classics and turning them into live action movies. So we have The Lion King line king. One of the most successful Disney animated movies ever is now being done as a live action movie. You have Donald Glover being Simba. You have James Earl Jones actually being this father and the same scores. They're the same using. And it's directed by John Fabbro who did such a great job with the jungle book doing the same thing that I think we can all feel optimistic about what's going to happen. And then we have Aladdin when we remember the. Animated movie who do we remember the most? We remember Robin Williams doing the voice of the genie. This time doing the voice of the genie and being the genie. We have Will Smith. So big stars in this big kind of thing, they tried it with Dumbo earlier this year, and that didn't quite work the way they wanted to do. But we're talking about lying king and the Ladan so big deal. Now, what terms of old fashioned animation is out there. I don't know if you're like me. But there's a Toy Story four toy stories always been my favorite of those Pixar. There's something about Woody and buzz light year, and you're probably saying to yourself. Well, and Toy Story three didn't it happen. That would he said goodbye, Andy. And he went to college, and it was all over remember. There was little Bonnie Andy gave his toys too. So we're going to have little Bo peep comeback. I think when you look at what goes on in Toy Story, you have that kind of feeling of goodness of field. Goodness, but done with all the magic of Pixar. So if those adventures out there are going to have a run for their box office money. I would say Toy Story. Four is going to be the one that does it. So what else we now have men in black men in black international? You're not gonna see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones anymore. But this time you have Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. As new agents who are out there in this men in black universe. Sometimes you say to yourself do I want more of that? And you never know to actually see it. And I can only tell because I haven't seen this movie yet. But it looks like there's chemistry there. Then we have Spiderman far from home. You know, the Spiderman franchise never seems to end either. But we have Tom Holland who played him last time charmingly, I think, but now spider man, Peter Parker. They're taking a European vacation and the villain that they run up against is mysterious. Played by Jake Jilin. All I just think they're still some special sauce in the Spiderman universe, and I expect this one to also be a major hit. Godzilla Godzilla king of the monsters. I see that. And I go how much can they work this poor God's, but you can look at the trailer and see it. I like the idea that aside from viewer for Megan who is in it, Billy Bobby Brown from stranger things is in its she the dynamo. So if God Zillah can basically meet his match betting on little Millie to do something with that Hobbes and Shaw, this is fast and the furious you remember the rock of playing the the law man, and Jason stefon playing the outcast and the rebel these guys. I don't know if this is Hollywood kind of thing, but they tell us that Jason stadium and the rocked wing Johnson. Don't really like each other. And maybe that what the reason we love these characters and show so much because we liked that conflict. I don't know it seems a PR stunt to me, but I'm going to be there because this cars. There's the rock and their Stefa. So you're going to be there to and you know, it, oh and the big deal. Now, everybody has just in the midst of welcoming game of thrones back to their lives. The last season of that. You can't bear to live in a world where you can't see the stark sisters anymore. Well, now, you can dark Phoenix, which is part of the X men universe. Bring Sophie Turner, and she's Jean grey this character that we've seen before. But she's this younger version of her and she split between the good side of her and the dark Phoenix side of her. And to me, these girls are tremendously talented in what they do on game of thrones. And I think we're going to keep seeing them through the years, but her sister her at least game of thrones sister, maisy Williams is in new mutants part of that universe too. But in this case, they're all new characters to do this. They're all gonna be in the X men universe. Doing it. So that's it for the blockbusters that are out there. You've got everything from animation to comic book characters to everything. And that's the stuff that you hear about that your friends are going to talk to you about. But there's gotta be other stuff to part of summer is comedy of. I think we all really have gone through a long winter. And we're saying make us laugh give us something that will just make say, whatever. I can just sit back and not think. So what's there for that? There's a movie called longshot. This is a movie in which Charlotte Theran is playing the secretary of state who is running for president. But falling Manley in love with who staff throw in. Okay. It's like, a beauty and the beasts thing going on here. Seth Rogan is her speechwriter all of her people say what are you doing? You're going to destroy your career. But no, it's love. And if you don't laugh at the combination of Seth Rogan, Charlie staring. There's nothing left for you. And then we have the hustle. The hustle is a movie that used to be called dirty run scoundrels where the old days it was about conman. Now, it's con- women. They're played by Anne Hathaway and rebel Wilson. And they basically go all cross the continent finding rich people whose money they can steal pretty people. Glamour? What's wrong with that? Oh, book smart. This is directed by the actress Olivia Wilde, and it's about girls graduating from high school and saying we spent all our lives with our head in the books. Everybody else is going to parties and having fun. So they're going to do that beanie Feldstein plays one of them. She is the sister of Jonah hill and real life and Jona hill did super bad. This is kind of the women's version of super bad everything in it works, like a charm. You're really going to like that one. Then we have a movie called late night. This is about the TV talk show world and Emma Thompson plays. Probably the only woman on late night TV who hosts her own show, but she's got only men on her writing staff, and then she hires Mindy Kaeling who also wrote the screenplay of this movie, very very funny about what happens when you put women into what basically has been. A male bass they end of doing this. And the combination of Mindy king writing for the great Emma Thompson and watching them perform together is just so you've got to see that one to my favorite kind of thing. The dead. Don't die. You've got to admit that is a great and funny title. It comes from the indie, directing great, Jim Jarmusch. And it's cut people like Bill Murray and Adam driver by zombies. Okay. If Bill Murray is going to go out there and get laughs. Sizing up zombies. I'm going to be there watching him do it. So we have a good chance for laughs horror. I've got to talk about it now because it's not just the Cajun. Oh movie harm movie that makes money any makes people talk and get happy. It's they're everywhere. Now child's play do you? Remember the old child's play movies where you had Chucky. The crazy nut doll that. Always terrified me. Just. This doll who looks kind of little bit weird and freckly, but he has a voice on him like a longshoreman guess who's doing the west now of Chucky Marquel? Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker. And from what I've seen of it in. It's just been a little bit of it. It's wonderfully malevolent, so I'm going to be there to see that one. Then there's Annabel comes home. Another doll another possess doll also part of the conjuring universe where a viewer for Megan Patrick Wilson. Or the demon knowledge is that tried to make sure that nothing bad can come of this horrible doll Annabelle, but Bill will destroy and I will be there to watch her. Do it then them that follow their certain titles that get me them that follow really gets me? And it's about a snake handling church in Appalachia. No, they there are there colts. And they're almost religious cult where people pray. But they have the snakes, and they hold the life thinks pass them on. And you're thinking, what are you tell me about this like CD movie Har movie will guess who the star of this movie is the freshly minted Oscar winner Ogilby Coleman from the favourite, she's tossing those snakes around so irresistible. I think you're gonna love it. Then there's the Nightingale. See it's does not stop. It's har- everywhere. The night and gas from the director, Jennifer Kent who did a thing a couple of years ago called the baba Duke, which gave millions of people nightmares. And now she's back there following a woman who is chasing a convict got to be hooked. And then midsummer midsummer directed by REI Astor who last year gave us hereditary with Toni Collette, a really scary movie. Now, it's at a nine day Swedish holiday where everybody celebrates. But they'll be no celebrating after this one. So we. Got a lot of stuff out there. That's just going to scare us witless. And I couldn't be happier. All right. When summer comes. We think of all the things I've just talked to you about blockbusters comedy horror action, the rock of everything is there, but every even in a season like this. It's all about money and getting us into our theater, there are those movies that can come out entertain us. And also will hear about them at the end of the year when the Oscar nominations come out and the number one movie on that list, and the one that I haven't seen anything of India's of anyone that saw even anything past the trailer is called once upon a time in Hollywood it is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino its stars in order to Capri, oh as a TV star on the wane in Los Angeles. And Brad Pitt as his stunt double whoever thought of

"I'm Chucky voice. But then he's all like, oh you fucking on. So I was like I wanted him to keep the kid voice the whole time. But in still say crazy like fuck, sure. But now that you know, we know that Mark Hamill is going to be doing a voice what he could do with that has me really excited for you. And me both because I mean, not just my opinion. But I feel that Mark Hamill is one of the most versatile actors like in the world. I mean, he can go all the way from somebody. That's this like optimistic hopeful kind of naive character line. Luke Skywalker all the way to the under into the spectrum as it's like mnay. Michael chaotic crazy as joker in Alabama. And maybe see res everything in between like I've seen him just kind of play straight me and characters and different things. Like that if anybody's ever seen the guy ver- that movie is terrible. But I still love it because it's just horrible. But he plays a cop net, and he's pretty much a straight man in that movie. And I was just like, that's Luke Skywalker. Like, that's what I know him as I know him as the joker. He I'm not a Star Wars person. I'm kind of on the level. I'm not like super harake of Star Wars. Sure. And I know of some of the characters sure, and I know that blue sky. Well, of course, of course, I only want to matters. I know he's he's in Star Wars, and he's Luke Skywalker, and I know all that fun stuff. But as to say that I've I've never watched a Star Wars movie that would be accurate damn. Okay. Fair fair. But. That being said though, I. The one thing. I I'm real little bit worried about is. I don't want him to do a joker voice. That's the only thing I'm worried about. I want him to do some creepy in cool. But I don't want him to turn into joker. And I feel like sometimes plans creepy or characters he may have a habit of slipping into that. I think the laugh interesting get him because I think because he played the joker for so long and animated series and not it's hard in so many different the gains. He's in Arkham games. He is the voice if you've ever been to six flags, they have a Justice. Oh, no. It's a a Justice league like virtual reality thing. Sure. And they put you on this coaster. And I mean, it doesn't like do flips or nothing, but it sure you it's fun noth-, and you Willie Wonka train Reich. Like shoot the you'd like interact with the game as the show goes through this big building. And he's the voice for that. Okay. And then we have multiple versions of him in video games and cartoons. And I think that laughs going to get him because you know, when Chucky is like plot plotting something and he thinks he's going to get away with it. And he goes his little laugh. Yeah. I think it's gonna come out. I think we're going to hear a Mark Hamill laugh. I'm still gonna bone though because I'm like. The actor who plays Chucky in the original movies. I'm pretty sure I do soul. I've yeah. What happened to him? So he has a little smaller part in the Lord of the rings movies. I forget the name his character. But he's some weird fucker a net and should but still. I'm like he could've still did this. I'm actually surprised that India's bring him back. But maybe there was like, oh, we want to separate and do our own thing. But it's like, well, you got Mark Hamill to do it. So could have got that guy. I mean, but still if I had a choice, I would've picked Mark Aimo over the other day. Still. So I will say flat out I'm much much more excited about this movie than I was I was interested to see how they would do it just off of curiosity. But now, I'm like, okay now, I actually want to see it though, I still need to see Chucky do something because in a trailer. You don't even see them. You just like see the that he's caused but you don't actually see Chucky himself. And so I think they show him from the back like once like for like a split second..

"To play the basketball game and there's you know a line of adults waiting i asked eve levitt if he could imagine that the chucky cheese pricing scenario encouraged violent slabs the likud imagine it because when it comes to chucky cheese and the product they deliver they suffer from a very intense form before the economists call rivalry with meaning that exactly one person can play a particular game mm at a time and when people all want the same thing there are lots of different dimensions on which they can compete for that thing and and certainly physical violence is one we see i'm f studied drug doing allied and indeed when it comes to the the pursuit of property rights in drug markets violence is the strategy of choice now i have to say i'm a little bit skeptical in thinking that when it comes to queues at the chunky cheese that violence is usually the the likely weapon to which rival parents matter so you're saying that chucky cheese customers are probably not as prone to resort to violence as crack dealers well i think of the stakes were as high they probably would resort to violence in the same whether the crack dealers do but when you have something inherently low states like whether your kid can play game a or game via turkey cheese i would think that most parents even most inebriated parents wouldn't come to blows there certainly is evidence of the violence atrophy cheese and i was actually aware of that before we ever went with my son that's every listener again nathan cory who came to us with the price violence theory now given what we know about priming and how the human mind works you might suspected of guy like corey took his son to a chucky cheese thinking about the potential for violence he might have been more inclined to look for a causal explanation for the violence he'd heard about there are three chucky cheeses in the milwaukee area about a decade ago after pressure from city officials they all stopped serving alcohol to cut down on violence even so the disturbances continued which led corey to think that maybe the pricing strategy even more than the.

"The thing is it's also in this it's not just an asylum it in this weird uber like futuristic modernistic fucking asylum like it's a it's not which to me hurts the atmosphere the film it looks beautiful but when everything is slick in gorgeous and whitens silver and chrome and where since scary the environment is not scary it looks actually like a nice i remember thinking through the movie like i listen look so bad live in this place slick simply are not only not strict before your even oriented with the setting of the story two of the inmates are fucking each other and i was like they're fucking each other in a stairwell one of them in a wheelchair these are too insane people in an orderly dozen notice then a guy with multiple personalities whose potentially violent talks about how his outside privileges were taking away which you're like what he have outside privileges and then he disobeys the the the restriction and goes outside and then nothing happens right there is no repercussion for there's no repercussion vert anything in this film now everything seems to have just been thought also to like chucky to the in the first few movies the murderous chucky would commit were were there was a linear sense too he was on a there was a journey he was on he had a goal and to get to the end goal early endgame rather he had to kill people rent because that's how he rolled and i got to get rid of this guy so then i can get to that guys and then i can get to this lady so that i can get to that late.

"I am expected to stop on an immediate dime that's what's holding me up but cult of chucky to continue my sense from thirty minutes ago sorry no no no i enjoy enjoyed that thoroughly either jockeys a cult later or tilley um at cetera like were now in like the postmodern world where everyone loves the chucky movies and you a scream thing where they're like a cold and they loved chucky and they're trying to like somebody tried to act out murders and his name or whatever yeah and they go this idle promises a lot of fun that isn't there and when it opened in an an an asylum like so many other warmer with those like i wanna i wanna watch this now the there's nothing more dreary and boring than an asylum to me i just always go there all right shudder island i know you didn't thought curve wellness was okay i didn't like the horror story in the asylum i get tired of it i liked cuckoo's nest but i i think when he says this is a kuko's nasr they're trying to do a nod to brad door of playing billy babbitt in in uh cuckoo's nest i would imagine so which is an amazing character in amazing performance but i'm sure door if is just like really guys are gonna remind everyone that i was once nominated for best supporting actor and now i'm voicing part six in a dull murder franchise seven seven but here's the thing i i don't think door of mind i think he's like into these things to say the conservative hyper is getting pipe but it's also to it's his it's in waterways as his legacy which is cool it's like robert england being freddie and whatever doesn't mean all of its good but i i respect that but you know that.
