That's going to be the second interception of the day for Kentucky, their 11th this season. And that's been its fifth in the last two games. Pretty athletic play as well. Make that interception to get his feet down. Cats take over their own 18 yard line after that, picked by Joseph Here's Rodriguez running right through our line of scrimmage across the 20 to the 26 yard line, wrapped up by Richard Lll account in the Georgia secondary. That's where he needed to go, and he got it by inches. Let's go out to Chuck on the sidelines, Cooks Pest control Chuck Scott, You alluded to it earlier, but John Sharman, who's the offensive line coach for Kentucky, has been battling cancer. And he's not here today. He's missing this game he missed last week. His Gatewood scrambles for whatever he could find. What he found was about what six yards or so five or six second down for the cats on their own 32 yard line. Dogs brought strong safety pressure, but we brought it from about 12 yards deep. So super delay but pretty good coverage down feel the pressure. Never got Gatewood. It was the coverage that made him.

"The back end of the home and home that began Thursday night at the garden this morning. Barry was asked how a home and home is different for coaches. It's great. It's great for for the pre scouts because. It makes a lot easier than playing a new team or anything like that. But I think just you have to stay focused on all sorts of the moment. It's one period of time. One time. Back to back sometimes can get ugly. We'll see today. Coach of the New York. Islanders Brockville sit in oxidants. Their second penalty. Kill the game is ultra-long long shot. So one nothing islanders just trying to tie it man up here in Ireland rice, savannah, jab left hand, tried to go to the blue line spins on pointman quarterback racing for the loose puck. Let circling ranger ice hits the brakes. Who just couldn't drag it through sue Carello or he would have been in all alone. I ranger power passes to the point that this, man. The line and came out. So another chance therefore, the shorthanded because of that here's buck again carrying at the center stickhandling to the red line and dumping it in deep and he will head off after great PK shift to seek us little switch with Rangers back to work on this power play breakout. Already forty five seconds in but hemmed in their own end. Leo camera thrown his body around with a four check Rangers. Finally, bring it over the line which navy down the right wing wall. Gave it away of good pressure by Lucas fees. Got to the near corner. Trying to go up the boards turned over trying to get it back. Couldn't the Rangers out it Philp what trying to dig it out can't zuccarello above the left circle of the group's neighbit- got tangled up with fellow. Stick went flying Perello came away with it in the slot. I believe was interfered with and I think the Rangers you're going to have a snowman advantage for forty eight seconds. I believe Spezia is guilty. Let's go get the call. Number twenty one. Okay. So they call speeds are on the hook. And the biggest moment of the game arrives one. Nothing. Islanders eight twenty five to go in the second Rangers five on three to manage advantage for forty eight seconds. Just seconds after Val gets away with potentially if he play with like he held Vlad domestic. And also potentially even held another ranger in that suplex doesn't get called coming away from the fray zuccarello. Ed Spiezio just has one hand on his stick reaches out and gets underneath the off zuccarello. Now. The Rangers are going to call a timeout to try to draw up this five on three power. Forty eight seconds Brock Nelson could be set free. Rangers did have a fifty second five on three power play tonight's golden, it's where it hard. And they were unsuccessful Sean on coal in that sequence. Penalty goes up to the task to start. This off will be Zeke is supposed to one forward. Johnny. Boy. Chuck Scott Mayfield to do the Fence Outlet who was stopped thirteen shots. Why? So far this afternoon at five on three at the garden was early third period with the hours leading at three two two shots at the turning point in the game. Pelicans was in for hooking com. Rob was called for shoving the net off and the Rangers had a two-man advantage for fifty five seconds did not get a shot on goal. So here again, they go to end up for forty eight seconds are open one of the power play. But looking at tie game off the time out by the rookie head coach David Quinn faced off here's Zeke. It's gotta stick up in the face of the Vanna, Jack they went on call with the Rangers. Have the bottle savannah Chatham mobile of circle place given Strom now works at high slot for shattenkirk. Bottom left circles zuccarello straight onto vantage, right, circle, left stove one timer blocked by Chuck and pushes it out the center right's type of effort you need getting in the way of shots like that. And. Strom gets it by Chuck in any fashion Bushwick as well away from the net. Not a lot of help behind a buddy gets the block with escape gets the clear. Twenty seconds to go in the two-man advantage. Ranger's game the Allender line again, shattenkirk centerpoint left one and housing Perello off the outside of the right post. Zouk got his own rebound would help from boots. Neighbors to shattenkirk above the right circle left to the painter Strom top Vanna jet Strom left to the net. No place to go back to savannah jet straight on. All right. Zuccarello boxes Nelson Rangers one man advantage for the next minute. Still an island rice year shattenkirk straight on fires deflected over the top of the net. Shattenkirk got his own rebound. It left point left half boards. Now, savannah jet trips to the dot off his stick all the way down his face. Zeke helps that Brock Nelson as a forward that is often featured on the penalty kill he came right out of the penalty box familiar position for him with two forwards out there too. Kills scenario. Three defense little pellets out of a box for the rain is once again, don't get any shots on goal on the five on three and the get another clear here. It's still one nothing. I'll six forty five to play in the second period. Twenty seconds to go on his ranger's third power play the afternoon. Tony the Angelo to center ice little drop past there for how. And now the heat at the the line headed found off camera having picked it back up with the Rangers still in the neutral zone here domestic right wing over the islander line little visi down the wall. Plays into the envelope. Defenseman behind the net left half-point escape it out to the blue line drops it off there for how Thailand has come back to full strength ringers over three on the power play. The Angelos centerpoint Rishaad from their blocked out high by Bullock and racing. At the center is still block. He will get the red line. Islanders trying to change behind. It felt pressured by heat who took the fuck away tax sweeps. And and and now he gets off as well. Again, the Rangers don't even get a single shot on goal. On that five on three back. No shots on goal on the two powerplays combined. They just wants to successful costing to the net for the Rangers. He's home. Intercepted neutral zone by the Arizona pass by Nicoletti. Rangers come in on to he's still trying to get back in around. Allowed. Is just go buy him as a little bit. Back over to the. Hito who puts it by Robin Lin or broccoli sided hito as his seventh goal of the season. I bowling ten games. Much. Like Anthony billions first goal in ten games as what one with five fifty one to go in the second. Stop. They got away from the danger. Once they get through those jobs, but the pass for bloody headed for Jordan was by his stick. To go in on that rush. Alamo villa goal. His twelfth of the year bailing and pull up the assists at eight forty to make it run nothing. Rangers get it back less than six minutes later is he likes the lamp. So once again, the let's go islanders, and let's go ranger chant alternate here at Barclays center on his Saturday afternoon. We are tied right wing over the line of Brady shape. Not the ham facts it outright points abandon jet covering buyers. Whether the saves guerrilla, the rebound, the John holding inter right point, physical Lello on the right hand knocked off his stick by Jordan narrowly hope that ahead parameters leave was taken down no penalty. Call ranges with it behind the goals. Abana Jad worked on by Mayfield are now roughs up, fast and tapes falling down behind the net. Savannah. John may have taken his states out again. No fall right point, MRs from mcquaid down the left wing walls Brady shape, Rangers energize off the needle goal that is tied it and they're dominating an island rice. Zuccarello right point mcquaid. Let point Brady shea high slot pursue Perello it toward the net. And it's affected wide right of the cage is a little bit. Like the third period the other night when the islanders were running around in defensive zone could barely get a sniff. The puck Mayfield here whips it off the glass and outta play. I'm looking forward to the first Washington state LSU, central Florida. I know I will Mississippi State is going to be a low scoring game. But that's okay. I like to defense is like that. You know, I'm okay with that. And then don't forget coming up on Saturday. On the fifth. I should say it's going to be North Dakota state on that Saturday, fourteen sixty one total against eastern Washington championship game FCS, Clemson, Texas. That'll be the late game on the first Georgia. I'm sorry, Texas, George, I said, Texas, Clemson, Texas, Georgia thirteen George minus thirteen total of fifty looking forward to that one as well. Let me update the Richard badgen. Finley Toyota town scoreboard. That Auburn for do game. I would take the over fifty five and a half straight up. Thanks to them. Throws the ball. Too much speed there. I like it. Auburn Purdue over given that one that one out for free right there. And. Scoreboard on Thompson. Click the right button. There we go. All right here, we go NBA sixty to forty six clippers all over the kings, still three fifty to go first half clip joint. That's I finished up the nuggets very impressive. San antone wins covers by four total. How about this to fourteen the opener closer to fifteen and a half final one eleven one zero three to fourteen which is the opener one twenty to one nineteen Mavs over the pelicans Mavs minus two closing number up from one and a half. Still good cover twenty our final one twenty to one nineteen total to twenty eight and a half game goes over finishing to forty one T wolves we told you beat the bulls won nineteen ninety four three could a middle dot soccer seven up in cal- going into the fourth quarter leading TCU. So doughty TC today. Not score. Or are they now they're showing a guy running back on the sideline sitting on the bench? I let me thank you probably coughed it up or didn't make it. Afford down to see what happens. Thirty four ten Minnesota. Very impressive beat Georgia Tech. That was the quick lean bowl Ford field Detroit. The cheese at bald began with the heck chase field. Phoenix the ball TCU, escort lo and behold and tied it up after three so the tide it, okay? So let me say it's a jumped up one second. Nachos. Seven seven fourteen fifty five fourth quarter. And I got the games on. I'm just not paying attention to them. In detail play by play seven seven. That's huge. I've got TCU Chuck Scott cow picking game pretty much by going to take a break. That's it on a on a quiet quiet night outside of the NBA nothing. Again, the raiders hanging in there taking care of business. The other day loved to twenty seven to fourteen final game Oakland, by the way. The post game report silver black state post game report, Lance prime myself. This Sunday, the final one, and we put those up on soundcloud for you. Very impressive game by the raiders again. I thought they would take care of business, but they did handle as very impressed. Some guys played with a lot of heart. But Casey at thirteen and a half point favorite this week against the raiders. I'm not touching. I'm just gonna watch it. Enjoy it and love it. And you know, again, raiders play Casey, very tough the first time. So they won't be intimidated. No hunt. JC teams good, and I do respect Mahomes. Now. I mean, I did feel this past game. I'm like, you know, I feel like they can score anytime they touch the ball. So when you bet against Casey like I did was Seattle. I mean again, Russell Wilson. Most guys they played a perfect fourth quarter. And still barely beat KC. So I'm respecting Casey and won't shock me. If they blow the raiders out and the raiders are good. Look they played with art. They when the last game in Oakland could be a major letdown spot. I would look Casey. And I would tease Casey down to seven from six and a half point. Or if you could find thirteen actually think there's twelve and a half or something you can drop that down to six and a half six point teaser Fessel prove that only does six point teasers usually every then six and a half. And it's not a guy wants to lay seven so and I don't either juice they crush on that stuff right now. But we we will keep a keep.

Well, the newly elected governor Tony Iverson, the newly elected Attorney General John call our newly elected Democrats, the newly defeated two term governor Scott Walker has indicated that he does plan to sign the bills that would among other things give the Republican legislature control over some major appointments and reduce early voting which tends to benefit the Democrats in Wisconsin down to two weeks across the lake in Michigan, the Republican legislatures taking similar steps against the incoming democratic governor and attorney general there is well now this has happened before in many a legislature Democrats. In fact, I've done this in the past two Republican governors in lame duck sessions in other states. Joining me now from the state capital of Madison is Wisconsin's incoming democratic governor Tony governor like Devers. Welcome to meet the presser. Morning chuck. How are you today? I'm okay. Let me start with this. You had said you were going to personally lobby governor Scott Walker the outgoing governor whom you defeated to veto this legislation. How of those talks gone? Have you met with them? I communicated with governor Walker over the telephone a few days ago and laid out my position that vetoing legislation was going to be an important thing. Not only for you to make sure that our our what happened last November the vote of the people Wisconsin is actually upheld. And we're putting people in front of politics, but also just bad legislation. And I made that made that pitch, and he was non-committal, I know publicly he's said another arenas that he plans to sign most or all of it. So I'm not particularly encouraged at this point in time. But it's it's around Scott Walker's legacy. He he has the opportunity to change us and actually validate the will of the people that voted on November six negotiate with them. Did you say, you know, what look I know x is really important to you. I get that. But what's with y and z here was there. A why did you go to? Say look, I I really think this part is just crazy please veto that if you want to keep this. I get it. I talked about a few areas that are really important that actually Republican business leaders have talked about that would take away power imply implicate and make make economic development much more difficult in the state of Wisconsin. But the entire thing is a mess. It's a hot mess and. I believe that he should veto the entire package, in fact, at least three or four the pieces that are in there. Now, he has vetoed previously. And so it makes no sense to me. You know, he's he's been a longtime public servant. And and and he he he has the legacy here. So we're we're hopeful that he will veto the whole thing. I'm curious after you were elected and quickly. We heard word that the Republican speaker and the Republican majority leader in in the legislature. There were considering these bills. Did you reach out to them personally before the bills started going? And if you did what was that conversation like? Well, I I met with a Robert Voss. This speaker much before those words that rumor came down the pike. I haven't had a chance to talk was last minute. As one of these. Here's a rumor. And then here's here's the bills that have been worked on for several months, but you know, Chuck Scott Walker. You didn't want this election, which Scott Walker at won this election. We wouldn't be sitting here. Talking to your today. Is there any party, you know, one of the things that the speaker said he goes well in hindsight, maybe we gave the governor too much power. Take the partisan hat off a minute. All right. I know that that perhaps many people read that comment tongue in cheek. But do you believe he's right? Well, there are things in that Bill that really had nothing to do with giving Scott Walker anything. So I don't agree with that. We have balanced power in the state of Wisconsin. The legislature on both sides, our Republican, I'm a democrat. The attorney general's have democrat. No, I view this is completely different than the, Robin. Voss? Boy is that man that is that we are trying to invalidate the people people. Wisconsin voted for me because they know that I was for good schools and good transportation system and good healthcare. They didn't they didn't. They didn't elect me to fight over administrative powers in in the state of Wisconsin vis-a-vis, the Republican majority. Now, I think this this this gets us off to bad start. I I think it's a mistake. But we will continue working to get the people Wisconsin to convince Scott Walker to think about his legacy and make sure that vetoes language democratic congresswoman Gwen Moore said the following the legislatures who injured near this coup their actions amount to a smash and grab hijacking voters. Will you think coups the right word here? Here. Well, it's always it seems it seems strong. But the fact of the matter is. As I just said if Scott Walker had won this election, and he did not I did we wouldn't be sitting here talking about this today. We wouldn't we wouldn't be talking Scott Walker wouldn't be sitting here talking about Jesus they're they're trying to they're trying to balance the power here. So no, I think is directly related to to a win by a democrat and be me. And we need we need to have this. We need to have this vetoed. One of their rationales has been well governor elect Everts margins all came from two city's Madison and Milwaukee. We have to represent the rest of the state. What do you say to that charge? And more importantly, you want a very narrow election. How do you? How do you reach across this divided state at this point why it would have been a lot easier without this legislation. I'll tell you that I have reached my present job as state superintendent. That's a statewide elected position and ivory Tsukasa Allen, all all all numbers of issue. So that's part of my DNA. I'm an educator. So I always try to find common ground, and I'll continue to do that going forward. This makes them more difficult, but I won the election. Anyway, you slice that. I wanted the election and actually narrowed some of the the the votes out state, and I've won a lots of those counties out state in the past. So I am the governor. I will be the governor of the state of Wisconsin. I'll Representative he doesn't veto this legislation. Do you plan to sue? You really think you have standing? All all all issues are on the table. I I'm not making any promises one way or the other. But we're looking at all issues all options at the table. I needed to stand up for the people, Wisconsin. There's two point six million people that voted in this last election, and they expect me to do that. So I'm going to we're going to pursue this governor elect, Tony democrat from Wisconsin. Thanks for coming on sharing your views. Good luck. When you take when you actually take the oath. All right. When we come back the one issue on which Democrats are thinking.

The Republican is taking similar steps against the incoming democratic governor and attorney general there is well now this has happened before in many a legislature Democrats. In fact, I've done this in the past two Republican governors in lame duck sessions in other states. Joining me now from the state capital of Madison is Wisconsin's incoming democratic governor Tony abors governor like Devers. Welcome to meet the presser. Morning chuck. How are you today? I'm okay. Let me start with this. You had said you were going to personally lobby governor Scott Walker the outgoing governor whom you defeated to veto this legislation. Of those talks Don have you met with them? I communicated with governor Walker over the telephone a few days ago and laid out my position that vetoing legislation was going to be an important thing. Not only for you to make sure that our our her what happened last November the vote of the people Wisconsin is actually upheld. And we're putting people in front of politics, but also just bad legislation. And I made that made that pitch, and he was I know publicly he's said another arenas Evie plans to sign most or all of it. So I'm not the particular encouraged at this point in time. But it's it's around Scott Walker's legacy. He he has the opportunity to change us and actually validate the will of the people that voted on November six did you negotiate with them? Did you say, you know, what look I know x is really important to you. I get that. But what's with why Z here was there? A why did you go? "Doing a lot of gargling. Just lot of reading and a lot of game watching and just trying to learn as much as I can about what Alabama has been up to this year. You know, been able to follow along what what what the dogs have been it will do. So it's a little less preparation on this side and a little more on on learning about Alabama and just trying to catch up with them and their great season. I mean they've they've just dominated every opponent this year. So. It's a it's an interesting match up tomorrow game. So basically, you're you're looking at Alabama game fill to get a sense of what they've been doing. Because obviously you've seen every bulldog snap. But you don't get to see a lot of the Alabama game. So this is the time for you to catch up and watched them film that see what saving crew been doing this year. Yeah. You know, you record a few games over the course of the season. You try to look ahead and take a hit who who Georgia might play. So, you know, have something on the in the DVR. I don't have actual game film. You don't like the coaches do cut up like that. I have to watch the TV copy like all the other like all the other folks like me. Like me. Yeah. All the other. You know, you try to pick up a nugget here and there and the. You know, you watch it if you Tom so to learn numbers, and we're guys are playing on the field and just that sort of thing that's a little bit of the preparation that that we tend to go through. I guess the bottom line through all that you've dug through and seen is Alabama that good. Everybody laughs tonight question gets asked including the head coach smart. So it seems to be true. What would you say that good? I mean, they beat everybody by more than three touchdowns. They're undefeated. They're ranked number one. And you know, they're planning for a conference championship as we are. So yeah, I think they're that good. But that doesn't mean the Georgia can't win the game. I don't I don't feel that way. At all. I feel like George has a good shot to win this game. But Alabama has taken care of its business every week this season. So I I think you have to you have to credit them for for the way they played all season long. And in reaching this point in the season as well. Talking to Scott Howard voice of the Georgia BULLDOGS on the Friday dish of the Mark Arum show last year was a pretty special season Scott this year's turned out to be a pretty special season compared the two Georgia BULLDOGS teams last year's and this year's. Well, you know, I mean there are similar in some ways. And and different. You know, I think defensively we're a little bit different. We don't I don't I don't feel like we have the the the big name guys defense likely like we had last year certainly is Lorenzo Carter and in Bellamy and roquan Smith who was you know, perhaps the best defensive player in in college football last year. So, you know, that's different. It's been it's been defense by committee. Certainly I mean, we play a lot of players we use a lot of different guys in different situations. So it's shuffling in and out a lot. And, you know, well, maybe the numbers don't bear out defensive dominance. They Georgia's had a very solid year offensively. It's it's kind of the same thing with a little bit of evolution at some of the other positions. I think are wide receivers might be a little bit better this year just another year of growth, and you know. Adding god-like JJ Holloman who's really gotten into the mix very well for Georgia, but the running back now while Nick and Sony were the best ever played Georgia. There hasn't been a lot of drop off most acoustical standpoint, yardage wise. The Andrea swift and Elijah Holyfield have been fantastic J Frahm has been excellent. The offensive line battling injuries all all season long as been able to withstand that and an answer the challenge every week and since the lost to LSU Georgia's been as dominant I would say as as Alabama has been Georgia's one every one of its games by two touchdowns or more. And they just you know, they rolled through the east for the second straight year. No, one was really even close to them. So, you know, very similar differences here and there mostly on defense. So I'll take them this year to last year. I would think a big difference would be the evolution and the the development of Jake from the center, right? I mean this the he's now. Veteran. He's a grizzled veteran out there. It is he's a duck hunting deer hunting. He's good, man. I I love watching Jake play. He's very smart. He's a he's a he's a good. He's a good dude, man. He's fun to watch. You didn't make a lot of mistakes. You know, he's a he's a smart player. And and he knows how to distribute the football and get it to guys who can take it to the house. You don't like, Nicole hardman or Riley Ridley or you know, anybody in that stable running back. So he's he has evolved. And it's only year two for j. Yeah. And you saw that truckload senior. And he's only a sophomore. I saw that truck loaded ducks he knocked over thanksgiving. I was I was very jealous. That was that was impressive equally as impressive is Chuck data decides to call into the Mark Arum show. It's been a long time since we heard from Chuck, how are you my friend, fine, Mark. Although I do get by latest traffic updates every morning commute on action. News wanna kiss up. That's true. You know, what I gotta keep those pension checks rolling in. Exactly, right. I'm just trying to hold onto mine. Chuck, thanks for joining us on the Friday evening edition, the Mark Arum show. This is a big SEC preview for tomorrow's big game at Mercedes Benz stadium. Your initial thoughts as we head to the SEC championship game between Alabama and Georgia. Well, my initial thoughts are that. You know, I like our chances just as a, you know, a team that's in. There will be the best team. I think that Alabama has faced somebody pointed out to me. And I think this is a great points is that when was the last time you saw a team that looked and is is good is Georgia is why this minute. And I mean, let's face it. They pass the eyeball test. They are playing in a high level. But when is the last time you saw a team that stat accomplished and doing that well playing that will be a fourteen point underdog to another team on a neutral site. It's audible, yeah. Which tells you that the, you know, the respect and the the admiration that that those guys that set those numbers how prowler Bama and the other thing that kind of scares me is they're not wrong a lot that that is true. You know, they built Vegas for. Reason with all the money of of people making the bats Chuck is this the best. The Georgia BULLDOGS team has looked this year. I mean coming off last week's win over tack. Are they firing all cylinders right now? Yeah. I think so I think they have been for a while now. And I think a lot of that should do the fact that we've had some young players grow up some kids that were four and five star recruits that came in his true freshman have Kirby has managed to get them playing time along the way. And now everything's starting to click for them and they're starting to make contributions to this football team key points. And I think that's one of the reasons the other reason is Georgia has just gotten better than and that's what you look for at this point in the season. You start to look for the teams that are getting better. And I think Georgia is certainly one of those key teams that is getting better down the stretch here and and ready for this postseason. I would argue that the exact opposite is true for Notre Dame. And the Notre Dame doesn't even deserve to be in the conversation. I'll watch them play a very weak Southern Cal team last Saturday night. It took them until the third quarter to get a lead. And then they barely ended up winning. I think they won. Fourteen point. So something like that at Southern Cal. But I don't think Notre Dame belongs in the conversation. And if you go back a few years ago when we started this college football playoff committee. Thank you. Remember, they told it was Baylor TCU at that time. And they said, oh, no, you don't get in because you don't play in the conference championship. And and and so that they went out and instituted a conference championship game the following season Notre Dame, suddenly it's like they've they've gotten him Nisha. They don't remember saying that. Yeah. And and the thing is that it's not fair. I mean, you know, what I'd love to see Greg Sankey do is announced, you know, tomorrow morning. Guess what? We're not gonna play this afternoon. We're we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna play conference championship. We'll see what the committee does. Now. I would be upset. We're talking to Chuck Scott Howard on the Mark Arum show previewing tomorrow night's big game at Mercedes Benz stadium. What are you guys doing? Are. You guys come into Atlanta tonight. Are you coming? Tomorrow. What are you guys doing it, lodging wise? How about you? Scott, you go first, what do you wanna know? Like, I'm worried if you get stuck in traffic heading from Athens, and you missed the the kickoff are you getting a hotel room tonight in Atlanta. Well, like, Chuck, I listen to. Traffic information. They'll never I never get stuck in for. Okay. Good. Good. All right. Actually, I'm coming over. You know in the morning came over today picked up my credential visited the stadium for a little bit. And and I'm gonna draw back over in the morning and make sure I'm in their bright and early like Scott will be and Tony Shirvani desire, and we'll be all all cranked up ready to go. Can you guys hang out one more segment real quick? Sure. What do we have to do? Scott says no Scott Howard, chucked out on the market.

"The real estate earlier. I've got a perfect example in March fourteen purchase a house for a hundred and thirty thousand put another twenty thousand into it and just closed on last Friday. I to sixty nine. Well, look who's bragging. Ladies single. No, no, no. No, no. That's not true. But you know. All right. So so is it that you believe that? Yes. The market is doing as well as people say, and is it is it in a bubble. This was an IB J article about the housing market. They're they're point was was that while interest rates are going up and housing prices are going up houses still selling we had a better year over year. Then August in August twenty eighteen of August two thousand seventeen and the article almost to me, I'm not trying. I'm not disparaging. Anyway, I thought it was interesting showed this bit of surprise. And I'm wondering if they're trying to tell us maybe another story that people are buying houses. Now because they think the crash is coming is that what you? As a real estate expert. Do you believe a crash is coming? That's exactly why we did it when we did it. I told my wife, I said this this can't keep going eventually something it may not go like it did no way. But something's gotta pop. And so we I didn't think it would bring that much. We listed it for two forty nine. And I didn't even want to go that high in the real estate agent said trust me in two days. We got six offers and we've got twenty thousand heard real estate team. I can't even talk to you about it. But I appreciate very much the phone call Joe, I think it's interesting what's going on. And I think it's interesting what these things kind of tell us in. Listen, I have an expertise in some subjects. I don't have an expertise in all subjects. But when you see housing prices up interest rates up and housing people's like as the article saying with all that and housing is still going strong people trying to get in before it's too late. I. I'm not actually doom and gloom. I spent a I'm curious as to where other people are Chuck you think it's all going to come crashing down. You think we're all about to die? Didn't notice in something coming back in two thousand and five thousand sixty year here in. And then you didn't hear about it for a long time and those are zero. Zero percent loans. No, no income verification long. So so there are things going on. There's a difference between. Like a regular loan and then alone based on income versus let's say what you made like small business owners you do that. And you talk to for example, and he's a sponsor full disclosure Ryan Kelly, the home loan expert homeland expert dot com. And they do those kinds of loans because when you're a small business owner, you have a things are are different. But that in and of itself is different from the idea that they're if they're now back to giving out loans to just like, oh, you want a house on here you go. And if the argument is Chuck, and I think that's the one you're making and I wanna make sure I'm right that we're starting to have repeats of two thousand seventeen thousand eight all over again. I think this is exactly what I'm thinking. And that's what scares me the most. Because I mean, it inflates the home prices people get extended only the only you find out that they couldn't really afford it once interest rates hit him in the face. You know, what gets me on that that you're telling me, you watched everything go to hell, and you didn't learn your lesson. Course, we've done it time and time again on believable that right? In the Senate today. Clarence thomas. Chuck, Scott, the show guys. I'm done. I'm done you want to send us to break. Chuck say, we'll be right back tiny cats. I remember when Joe Biden cold, he's not doing I. Yeah. Send it to break. Send us to break. Chuck say we're going to break. We'll be.

"Welcome back to the Hilo tech foundation repair home improvement show. Now once again, here's your host, Scott mostly KOMO axe. And we've got Kevin Welch in the house, maybe a little bit under duress. He showed up. I chained him to the desk. We're going to get him for, you know, as we say rode hard put away wet old cowboy term or horsemanship term as you will. Let's see what's cooking and go speak with Chuck Chuck Scott be Kevin well chocolate. We help. Yes, sir. We bought a house about five years old and wants Ville. Three basement windows. One is near scape window and. Yeah, the two regular basement windows, well, degrade slopes toward the house and meets right at the bottom of those two basement windows in addition to that that's where the pump in the basement is located. So we have watered rage coming out of there. I'm trying to prevent potential league problem. What what can I do outside of putting those window wells in you, can I does that we probably need some back fill as well. The of did the slope away from the house where now at the slight slope into the house. We had water. I mean. Yeah. Because the pump pump and it's a little hard. But I just wondered what do I I do I deal with that trying to keep up? Simple situation from getting a lot more complex water. Comes in those windows. I'm in trouble. So what do you suggest landscaping thing is that you'll check type of thing, or who do you recommend that can kind of look at that whole drainage pitcher on that side of the house with a remedy for me. Well, number one, the answer is a landscaper to re grade that number to the whodunit, this is builder one. Oh, one don't slope the water toward the house. What happened is the builder five years ago? Either put that foundation in too low or basically did not create a drain for those window. Wells are the basis of the windows. You just have to make that water. A better offer, you know, and he'll attack can have help you with that. But the problem is, you know, as builder one on one in my opinion, either the grade was put in too low sloping toward the house and the real answer is, you know, whoever decided the elevations or how high up and down. The foundation was installed got the place into low. Everybody wants a flat lot until the water slopes toward the house and you make this phone call. So the foundation. Is actually in the ground probably eight inches. Too far makes for some nice entries and easy. You know, walk in and out of the door things. But now when you have that situation, you're regrading the entire yard. I would say nine out of ten landscape. Contractors don't understand it because this is water one. Oh, one not a pretty landscaping. So that's exactly right. Well, so now you have to get with somebody who understands the water as the patient or problem and the foundation in need, you know, thoughts back to Kevin. Well, John, you know, how do you get the water away from the your? But there's a big deal. You're you're regretting that whole yard. So I should get your the deck. Call and talk to. Is this something you do regretful foundations like they add or deal with him window by window? Well, yeah, we can do both really gets into what all's there if you've got bushes, and plants and things like that that you want to try to salvage and redo and all that then you're probably best suited to go towards a landscaper for the regrading. Yeah. There's there's no landscaping. They're the only concern is the era Gatien system up is on that side of the house as well. So I guess we have to leave that where it is against the foundation, but I was thinking window wells, and then some kind of regrading it's possible. It's possible that we could do window wells and put drains in those window wells and then pipe that water. Elsewhere, we could look at possibly putting in, you know, some pump inside of the window wells, once we put the window wells on you know, it's best to you. Don't want to put a window well in Maureen egress egress and without putting some kind of way for the water to get out of there. And that's the problem. Otherwise, you're forming a swimming pool. Egress seems three draining. Well, I even spider named problem over the last couple of days, but it's where we don't have those window wells in those basement windows are just flush against the ground. Yeah. You're probably add window wells. And and you know, I it just you know contract. You're a made a mistake on that. You know, contractor be put the windows in where they they're supposed to go. You know, now contractor see he'll attack has to go back. And you know, correct. What you know the first error. Chuck, you said your said, you have a sump pump. Yes, we do. And it's in that that same corner where the window wells should be. In that corner of the house and that it's working really hard. You said it seems to be running a quite a bit. And. Put it back up system on the battery fails or lose power or whatever. But there's no sign that there's been any water problems. I just don't want to walk down there some morning and buying some as it. We're trying to avoid the issues and landscapers. You know, like you said they're more concerned about how it looks. I'm more concerned about getting the water away from the house and wherever it needs to go. We could also look at putting in some French streams on that side of the house that can wick some of the water away. So there's other things. But yeah, this is certainly something Chuck we'd be we'd be happy to come out and take a look at it for you. And if we get out there and find out it's something that's not in our wheelhouse. We're going to direct you, you know, a different way. Yeah. Okay. Terrific. Well, I'll give you guys a call Monday. If that's all right with you. You can do that. Or you can even call today. We've got some staff in the office today. Dude, all the rain. We we staffed up to to be able to handle some calls today. What's that phone number that number's one eight hundred two four six ninety seven twenty one. Thank you guys. I really enjoy your your shows. 'cause you teach me a lot about stuff. I should have learned years ago. I guess, but it makes sense. You know, we have a water problem. I'm not we're we don't ever landscape problem. Isolating. The problem is finding the solution. So. Thanks bye. All right there. We go water does not run uphill unless it's ice. And then it does or unless it debt can't get away fast enough. So the window while fills up or whatever. And then it does run up hill literally as the water rises home improvement. Cam wax..

And they say it is? And, what about the concentration They didn't give me a concentrate that's important parts per million and? And mulch. Check knew that okay good, good but where is the mold mostly is, it upstairs in the living space? Or is it downstairs? A basement basement I? Agree you know? There's natural mode but. When you had this in the basement where is it in the basement where is it though like in. The drywall where is it No. It is in some acoustical, ceiling tiles that were from a water damage, that was never replaced now again? Again people that it's? It's not that difficult? To deal with It's, just not okay the. House doesn't have to be knocked down the dirt doesn't have to. Be drawn out here's the two steps. For any mold even toxic, mold two steps stop the food source that, means, moisture in most cases and then kills and that's it you kill it with. Anything, that kills it kills is a. Brand, but it I don't know why people feel oh here's what here's what some people think you. Have. To, remove, and replace things well sometimes you do and here's why Structurally sometimes or if you kill though you. Don't, the only reason they removed drywall Or studs, it's cheaper sometimes then killing because it's so infested not, because. It's mandatory Chuck? Scott a comment on the smell and debasement to go ahead Chuck what's your comment Tom one. Simple, thing is. To pour some, water in, a Petri after, stoke watering the patriot. Oh that's true that. Keep sewer gases through, a traps water it's, a p trap so. It traps water but here's the deal if you have a, home that's going to be sit vacant one of the ways to avoid. That is to. Put antifreeze in it Oil now. That is to keep from Evaporating and plugging up the drain. So gases don't come through Alberto I'm sorry Alberto's not ready okay so We'll. Go don't we. Eat. Mold Art. Mushrooms. Nothing, but. Mold, on cheese monger cheese, fungi yeah but fungus talking black. It just I don't understand. The she of, molds with cheese we have. Mould mould certain types of.
