". Don't miss the United States sailboat show presented by west marine in downtown Annapolis, October 13th through 17th tickets at Annapolis boat shows dot com. I'm Rita Kessler, WTO P traffic. Now the storm team force chuck bell with the WTO forecast. Looking pretty good for today. Yeah, so far so good here on our Wednesday. There's a lot more cloud cover, though, lingering, just to the north of the Pennsylvania line. So there'll be a little bit more cloud cover coming in later into the afternoon. It's coming from the north. So it's not anything to do with hurricane Ian. But a little extra cloud cover will and a combination of a north wind will keep temperatures about 7 to 10° below average today, only reaching around 70° for a high, but at least it's dry weather. It'll be dry again for tomorrow and Friday. Still keeping a very close eye on Ian for weekend rain chances around here. Rain is likely to roll in first thing on Saturday morning. And obviously there's a long way to go between now and then, depending on how Ian eventually dissipates, but an awful lot of deep tropical moisture coming our way towards the weekend means that we'll have to be on guard for the possibility of some heavy duty rain around here. I think on average, most of our area between Saturday, Sunday and Monday combined, we'll end up with between two and three inches of rain. But whenever you deal with tropical moist, you have to be on the lookout. There's a possibility of some parts of our area, could get as much as four or 5 inches of rain. Again, it doesn't start until Saturday morning. We have a day today, highs near 70, another dry day tomorrow with highs near 70. And then a cloudy but dry day on Friday with highs in the mid 60s. "Great. Not seeing any delays here, any longer, but there was a work crew on the inbound side of New York avenue after South Dakota avenue, watch out on Kasich still out there. Carlos Ramirez WTO traffic. Now to storm team four meteorologist chuck bell. Monday promises to be the busiest weather day of the week at the storm team four weather alert day, flood watches have already been issued for the metro Washington area and points north and west to the Pennsylvania line and the blue ridge and parts of the Shenandoah valley. Lots of moisture in the air for today. You'll notice a minute you step outside. High temperature 84, but an 80% chance for rain and heavy thunderstorms later into the afternoon and evening, stay weather alert with us here today. Tomorrow, partly sunny and drier high 82, and then gorgeous weather arrives on Wednesday. I'm storm team four, meteorologist chuck bell, for WTO P. 75° DuPont circle, 71° Germantown, 73 in annandale. It's four 40. If you're in the market for an iPhone, Apple watch or AirPods. Some updated products were just rolled out this past week. So what exactly is new when is it worth jumping onto? Washington Post technology columnist Jeffrey Fowler joined WTO's Mark and Gigi with key question, you must ask about the new products. I would say there aren't any big changes. And the first thing anybody should think about before run into the store to buy any of these is do you actually need a new iPhone? One thing that we've learned is that these devices are lasting three, four, 5 years or more now. And so the old cycle of, oh, I need one every two years or even every year is no longer with us. But Apple is still trying to cook up ways to get us interested and to lure us into that upgrade. And kind of the biggest feature of the iPhone 14 is the ability to connect to satellites when you're not in the range of regular cellular towers. But there are some limitations to this. Sounds cool, but there are some limitations that only works to communicate with SOS. Emergency emergency folks. Tell us about the Apple watches. A lot of my friends want these. What are they going to be able to do? Yeah, again, it's another kind of pretty iterative year for the main Apple watch itself. They've added a temperature sensor, which they say can give women important information about the reproductive health, but we'll have to test that to see how accurate that really is. They've also added a new kind of ultra sporty model. It's really expensive. It's 800 bucks. But it is going to be for those kind of ultra marathoner type people or climbers or divers who want Apple watch with a battery that can last more than a day, and has an even bigger screen. And can handle maybe being beaten against rocks when you're climbing up the side of a cliff. Now, what are prices like on these new products are we seeing dramatic price increases? Well, I'm glad you asked because this is probably the biggest news from yesterday. And it's good news for us consumers. Apple didn't raise the prices on its iPhones. We had sort of expected they would given the spiking inflation right now. But for the most part, they left it alone. The one thing that they did that is a negative is they got rid of the iPhone mini. So that was the smaller size one that was popular with people with smaller hands or maybe tighter skinny jeans. But it was also a cheaper iPhone and they no longer have that. Washington Post technology columnist Jeffrey Fowler. Coming up the commanders opened the season with a 28 to 22 victory over the Jaguars

"Smash hit Harry Potter parody begins performances on June 29th tickets at Shakespeare theater dot org. I'm Rita Kessler, WTO P traffic. Let's check in live now with storm team forest chuck bell, cloudy and humid so far. Yeah, very cloudy indeed, and The Rain continues to race southbound through central and southern Pennsylvania. It's raining pretty steadily now near Hagerstown, Maryland, and there are still rumbles of thunder just on the Pennsylvania side of the Maryland Pennsylvania line. These little thunder showers are racing southbound at about 40 mph. So highest rain chances today will be just west of downtown Washington out towards dulles airport and Leesburg, but everyone in and around metro Washington is likely going to get at least some small amount of rain and in short order as well, probably over the next two hours. However, where The Rain has been moving out of Pennsylvania, the sun's already returning to northwestern PA. So yes, we have a rain chance over the next few hours, but we are likely to go right back into sunshine by later on into the afternoon, so don't throw away the don't give up on today just yet. Temperatures are still because of the clouds hovering in the low to mid 70s at 75 here in town, 68 with The Rain and Hagerstown, but already pushing 80° in Fredericksburg as the clouds are just now starting to thicken up. Afternoon highs today, low to mid 80s. So it depends on how soon we get the sunshine back, but be ready for a rain chance here in the next little bit. Be ready for thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon, highs near 90°. That's that extra bit of heat will be all the fuel we need for a severe weather threat later in the day tomorrow, and then quiet a weather. Thursday, partly to mostly cloudy, highs in the low to mid 80s. "Four meteorologist Chuck Bell for w T. O P We've got partly cloudy skies. It's 69 degrees in Germantown 66 in Alexandria and 66 in DuPont Circle were in the upper sixties for the rest of today. 1 51 election 2020 Let's get you caught up now on some vote tallies in the battleground states were starting with new information this afternoon. About Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Secretary of State telling CNN just a few moments ago that Pennsylvania could definitely know who won the state by the end of the day today. President Trump's lead over the former vice president Joe Biden in Pennsylvania is now down to about 115,000 votes. With 92% of the vote counted there. In Pennsylvania, President Trump's lead has been narrowing steadily. Most of the uncounted votes are coming from areas that do lean Democratic. In Georgia. Now the race is also tightening. The president now only leading by about 14,000 votes about 55,000 votes still have to be counted. That's about 2% in Nevada. The former vice president's lead has widened to about 12,000 votes. But election officials in Nevada say they will not have a final count for likely until Saturday or Sunday. So we're waiting for the weekend, likely in Nevada in North Carolina. The president leads by nearly 77,000 votes with 95% counted were also expecting an update from Arizona. That should come at about nine o'clock tonight, but the Associated Press has already called that state a win for Joe Biden. Now, these counts continue as the Trump campaign loses a few legal challenges that it has filed. We've just learned that AH Michigan judge has dismissed a suit over whether enough Republican challengers had access to the handling of absentee ballots and earlier a judge today dismissed a suit in Georgia that asked to ensure state laws were being followed on absentee ballots. Now in Pennsylvania, A judge will allow the Trump team to watch vote counts from 6 ft away rather than 20 ft away, and the Trump camp is also asking for a recount in Wisconsin, where Joe Biden's lead is about 20,000 votes. In other news that we're following a Corona virus infection surgeon to record levels. Now as we get closer to the holidays and DC is mayor is increasing travel restrictions. She wants D C residents to stay home during the holiday season, And for those expecting guests, restrictions could limit where they go. If you're planning on welcoming guests this holiday, DCs mayor says they've got to test negative for covert 19 1st. Her mayoral order that goes into effect on Monday requires testing of anyone visiting the district except from Virginia or Maryland who tests before they come into test when they get here If.

Big Big Big Big time time time time for for for for both both both both Thursday and Friday, and our rain chances are back with the picture for Saturday. The next really pretty day after today, it will be Sunday and a nice stretch of early September like weather arrives on Sunday and will be with us next week's whether there is light at the end of the heat and humidity tunnel today, though, is a winner. Sunshine. Nice northwesterly breeze afternoon highs today 86 to 88 degrees. Tomorrow. Low seventies on Thursday morning on forecasting 97 degrees tomorrow afternoon at 94 on Friday. Lots of sunshine Tomorrow Heat Index could be 100 degrees or higher more clouds on Friday. That's the reason it might be a couple degrees cooler. But again he didn't excellent. Friday afternoon will challenge the 100 degree mark Saturday, a chance for rain it just about any time of the day and unfortunate there is going to be a risk for some heavier rain, especially Essentially south of Route 50 on Saturday afternoon and night. That'll be what's left of Hurricane Laura coming through, so it could be some heavy duty rains there. And then, as you mentioned Nice weather returns for Sunday and the first half of next week, I'm starving for meteorologist Chuck Bell for

"A new cooling and heating system. Dial 85549 snail or visits, no heating and air dot com I'm Rita Kessler. W T o p traffic. Are w T O V four day forecast. We are ready for the weekend. Chuck Bell. We are going to see at least a few breaks of sunshine Today. That'll bring afternoon high temperatures into the steamy. Mideighties 85 is the forecast high today. And though it isn't going to rain all day, there is still a 60 to 70% chance you're going to get hit with a least a passing shower, especially from Washington to the Bay Bridge south into southern Maryland and down towards Fredericksburg in the Richmond area, those will be the areas with the most likely chances for rain. Today, It'll be a little bit drier up across northern Maryland of the Pennsylvania line. Over the weekend. Saturday morning is the best opportunity to get outdoor yard work done and cleanup work done from the earlier week storms because rain becomes likely again later in the day Saturday and that rain could be heavy Saturday night into Sunday. Locally 1 to 3 inches or more will be a possibility. So I do suspect we're going to have more flood concerns Saturday night and Sunday Sunday with the rain around temperatures will actually stay in the seventies. And then a little break from the rain and the humidity arrives from Monday and Tuesday. I'm Storm Team four meteorologist Chuck Bell for W T o P right now in Washington. We have overcast skies, a little bit of sunshine breaking through and 79 degrees heading into the eighties later. "And public safety professionals making a difference at AM You push your mind it am you online dot com I'm Rita Kessler. W T o p traffic and let's get the very latest with storms. Four meteorologist Chuck Bell. Hey, Good morning. Lots of clouds filtered sunshine in a few spots and Sprinkles of rain and others. Most of the Sprinkles now or north of Dulles Airport. Moving into parts of Frederick and Montgomery counties in Maryland is a few more rain drops out across parts of the Shenandoah Valley as well. A few drops down your Fredericksburg as well. Nothing heavy. No severe weather out there at this point in time, but it sure is steamy temperature already 81 in Washington. And do points. The way we measure moisture in the atmosphere all above 70 degrees. That's Florida level humidities for sure. If you have been outside today, you're not missing anything but stay at least umbrella ready for the rest of the afternoon, a quick sprinkler to hear between now and mid afternoon hours With the peak of daytime meeting, we could bubble up a thunderstorm or two. Looking for a repeat performance of yesterday. But today's rain chances pretty high up that 60% high temperatures this afternoon upper eighties for most low nineties in downtown Washington. Then for tomorrow, a little bit more Cloud cover's still a 40% chance of a little rain tomorrow and slightly cooler. Perhaps only the second day this month, the DC will stay below 90 degrees. Yes, most of the suburbs again tomorrow mid to upper eighties. The weekend looking good, Not much of a rain chance for your weekend plans. That's welcome news, but it will be hot back to 92 on Saturday and 95 on Sunday. I'm Storm team forward meteorologist Chuck Bell for W T O P. I chuck it 79 degrees here in Washington. "Not a Storm Team four. Meteorologist Chuck Bell, Hard to imagine. This day probably qualifies a little relief, Chuck Absolutely. Every day. Saturday through yesterday, National Airport was 94 or higher. We should be a degree or two below that today, just barely, but a lot of extra clouds around should help. Hold most areas into the upper eighties and low nineties. Today. The Heat advisory for southern Maryland is from noon until eight o'clock. The D C Metro is not included in the Heat advisor today just won't meet The criteria, which is several consecutive hours with Heat index is up over 101 105 degrees. That being said the Heat index and Daisy will probably close to 100 for much of the afternoon. Hard to believe that a heat index of 100 is a break, but compared to 105 or six we'll take every little bit we could get. There will be another pie chance for some rain and thunderstorms today, not the kind of severe weather we dealt with yesterday but still a pop up thunderstorm. Not out of the question. And anytime your thunder. That means that lightning is present. Always good to get off the golf course and out of the pool and away from any local waterways. And please be cautious around it. Highs Today Low nineties up Brady's in the suburbs tomorrow another fairly cloudy day on Friday with a passing shower, not a big rain impact. Tomorrow would've pop up rain shower thunderstorm. Not out of the question on your Friday afternoon. Tomorrow's highs. Good stay below 90 degrees of national Airport. That's cool. Snap 89. Then over the weekend, we dry out and warm up again Saturday, partly to mostly sunny, 92 Lots of Sunday Sunshine High
