"University career in depth. Would've who've been alleged de tool in a book that should not have been any longer than it is so I save a lot and I went over it for token axe to college allege that I was allowed once again to go into the restricted family papers of the Butler Library Oxford onlooker box of material. Israel gyro Tolkien had saved from his undergraduate days looking at things like photographs of himself with friends his invitations to college concerts literary societies. He was involved in on site force and then the final thing with which Christopher helped to me is a project I've been working on for few years. I've looked very very closely at trying to I suppose shed. You don't own a very important aspect of Christopher tolkien's Focus on his work. Which is the chronology her knowledge he of composition the ordering which things were and trying to establish if possible is closely as possible? Exactly when things went went In particular I've been focusing on my favorite period which is his earliest period. Those warriors when he was first inventing what became middle earth and there was a big question in my mind about the date of particular story The story story of the music of the Iowa the creation myth the start of the summer and the question was. When did gyro token I write that story and I had a hunch backed up by various very complex evidence from published papers that Giro? Tolkien had misremembered embiid when he wrote that tail. Christopher allowed me last year to go back to the boullion. Unlock the manuscripts For the book of Tales the first version of the Somalian to gather further evidence and I just actually last week completed a paper based on that research which will hopefully appear in volume being published by the Butler library that was going to be affects shrift for Christopher a celebrate Trie volume to be presented to him but will now L. sadly have to be an in Memoriam volume. Actually you know might be worth asking because it it sort of relates to some of the the work that Christopher dead. How would you explain to a lay person you know? What's the significance of that that kind of chronology? What why does it matter? What order something was composed? In for example the question of creativity in general is a fascinating one a perennial topic of of research will want to now in principle where the magic comes from when someone writes something or make something. Paint something astonishing right. That's why people read. Biographies of the Beatles will watch movies about Beethoven. And that's why a lot of us read the history of Middle Earth which is the twelve volume series of books written and edited by Christopher Tolkien along the trace the development of his father's legendary from its beginnings all the way three tastes death in nineteen. Seventy three is a story that has to be told across twelve league because it's immensely complex. There are surprises as you go. There are reshaping 's his father was not the most efficient of writers. You wouldn't wouldn't really be able to write a guide for the aspiring writer based on the methods of our toll because he would leave things unfinished a return to the he would revise the knife or neighbor again. If you're lucky he would finish them. I'm published them. But on the whole the majority of of of what he wrote never saw the light of day in his lifetime and the the Saturdays aspect of that is the assume early on his. Life's work will say considered it was left in disorder unfinished on his death and that problem was addressed by Christopher Tolkien in editing quite astonishingly. That's complex of Celtic papers for publication as a as a coherent book that was consistent with load of the rings in the previously published books in nineteen seventy seven when you say the film rolling was Tokens. Life's life's work. You're not exaggerating. Because it goes back to World War One essentially essentially in its earliest germ. And he's working on it up until his death at various times he wanted wanted to have it published alongside the Lord of the Rings and in fact it was almost a deal breaker with with the publisher to the point. Where when they said they didn't want to publish them both together talking went shopping around for another publisher and it was only when that didn't work out that he went back to? I Guess Allen and Unwin. That's try. Yeah Yeah So. He flirted with colons for a while Discovered the the the cullens editor been talking to him. Wasn't really that interested in the slum really on either so he returned with great humility to George Allen and unwin he welcomed. I'm back sadly I think that. That's fury that that problem with his ambition to have the summary unpublished alongside. Lord of the Rings took the wind out of Giro toll in sales so that whereas it been he'd been immensely productive in between finishing the Lord of the Rings in Nineteen One thousand nine hundred forty eight and the failure of talks with Collins in the early fifties he returned to his writings on the similarly on and he'd rewritten huge amounts with great verve beauty. Applying everything that he learned Dan from the huge huge lesson. Croft that wolves the writing the Lord of the Rings and then sadly he he never quite seemed to return to the issue with the same kind of energy off the bat. So what you have what you have from. That point onwards homewards from the end of the fifties really is a different gyro. Tolkien going back and looking at what he'd written earlier and looking at it with quite critical is and I think I think his self criticism came from the sense. The Lord of the Rings he had written something of extraordinarily high standard and he had some qualms about whether the could match it for various good reasons. The one that always gets mentioned. I think I think professor thome shipping is has has made a point of this and that the Lord of the rings benefit enormously from the sense of deep history behind and it the sense the characters the can talk about refer back to events in the distant past about which should we we know little so. There's a huge sense of three dimensionality about it. On the sense of distant mysteries the somberly early on because it begins with the creation of the world can have no deeper history by definition so that was one of the factors I think in other the fact actors who just I guess anxiety that you get as a writer when you realize you've got to go to please your readers and I think that Tolkien had reached a point in his life where he it lost some of his energies at somebody's creative engine had switched off and and and another engine at how come into play as well which was a desire to look at his own works from a philosophical point of view to consider the philosophical philosophical underpinnings of the world he had created and two right now with that mode and all of this of course contributed massively flee to the problem that Christopher Tolkien had offer his father's death so not only were the papers in chaos not only were sections of the similarly on existing getting in multiple versions and many of them unfinished in themselves. The whole thing unfinished as a whole but also there. There was a difference in kind between things written before the Lord of the Rings and things written after it. The late material presented problems because it was straying into matters of philosophy. The marriage laws of the Eldar. Aw The owls for example was one of the things that preoccupied him. So I if if if you have a married Elvin couple one one of them dies can the author remarry you know you can see the the the dilemmas as Catholic writer because because the owls Truly died that souls that spirits continue to exist in within the world so yeah that was the kind of thing so Christopher hat to make very tough executive decisions when editing the early on about what to include what to exclude food and I think he quite rightly chose to edit as his fall might have envisaged it around the time of the completion of the Lord of the rings or little later but not too much later before that turmoil of the late fifteen fifteen to one thousand nine hundred sixty s when everything came under Rolpa destructive revision by Tolkien. The interesting because that example that marriage issued shoot. Doesn't come up in the film really as we have it in the published version. I'm sure some of it must be in the history of Middle Earth series which I've only read a few volumes of mainly the ones dealing with Lord of the Rings. Yeah I mean I've I've gotta say the material in itself is absolutely fascinating is profound and it's there A volume ten mogul ring for Iowa. He wants to dive straighten era discussions about a mortality and mortality. Take for example which Just just astonishingly thought provoking and moving to because he was not he hasn't lost his ability to crystallized these thoughts within a narrative. The had the power to to uplift into move. Yeah I can certainly believe that and added if it's not of a piece with what had been written before it's hard to form a coherent work with inks with very different focus because very different tone. Are we still have some great metaphysical stuff in the summer. Alien Mainly Creation Story Miss Incredibly wretch which metaphysically and I did a whole episode with Jonathan McIntosh who wrote a book on Tolkien Acquaintance. Where we just did a close reading of the first few few pages of the selmer alien from a metaphysical point of view right? Yeah Yeah it's abundantly rich and I keep funding new insights in that to a non hoping that my attempt to establish a new date for its composition will help to shine new. You lie toll nuts creation story as well. I'd like to jump back to Christopher's childhood because he had a hand end in the writing of his father's stories or or in the revisions process at the very least from a very young age. And I think it's it's fascinating to learn about that but it's also important in terms of sort of getting a sense of this as Christopher is sort of birthright because certainly a specially early on with the publication of some really and people would would be questioning. You know Christopher's decisions in editing which which is fine. But but I think it's it's worth getting a sense of how deeply he was involved as a young man right so he was one of four children and he was the most of those for the most alive his father's imagination the most in tune with it I say this with all due respect to the others Especially Priscilla who still alive. The youngest child Christopher seems to have just been on the same wavelength as his as his father from from from Dario Liana and he said some things that evoke Allow me to to read a couple of things. So he will cushion describes how in the evening he would come into my bedroom and standing in front of the chimney he would tell me formidable stories such as Baron and Lucian for instance everything. The interesting to me came from his way of looking at things and also said for me the cities of the Somalian..

"christopher dead" Discussed on Cut To Black: A Sopranos Sitdown

"How are you handling all this? The worst part truthfully shit there with people who are hurt bad and I gotta have the long faith in the show in platitudes. But I don't feel it that makes me feel like a hypocrite. That makes me mad. It don't welcome to third. Time's a charm when Tony Soprano tries to kill one of his friends. This my friends is cut to black. A soprano soprano sit down my name. Is Jim Sample. And I've seen every single episode of the Sopranos. My Name is Jacob burroughs and I've seen eighty three episodes of the Sopranos Won. I five minutes. Jim Water I five minutes. We'll get into it. This is episode eighteen of season six Kennedy and Heidi. Who put this together? Gather Jim. This episode was written by Matthew wigner and series Creator David Chase and directed by. Alan Taylor. this episode did Premier Ear May Thirteenth Two thousand seven. And yes. As you mentioned. It doesn't take too long for things to ramp up in this particular episode episode. And with the excuse me with the style of the Sopranos and everything we've talked about it just makes sense because the show even though we focused on other characters the show is as Tony centered as Tony Years himself. All the matters is how things affect Tony. So forget that Christopher's dead. The important thing is how does tony feel about it. So that's really why he dies early on. I think his death at the end of an episode could have been a big plot point. Now it's just that the start there just as character. We've seen for the past. Two years. Every week his many trials and tribulations and granted I did cut. Ties is with him last week but still what a way to go. Yes yeah absolutely I mean I guess we'll just kinda get right into it. We got the the office is still being dumped her what they're figuring out where to dump the asbestos he can't he can't take it there anymore and there's a deal going on with Phil we'll just the always the brewings of New York War we've seen this faked out so many times I it was like oh we better not have a fill in there then it was like damn I wish we had fill in there. Well no I it was Dan would be great if Jonny sack was there. And then we're like Shit Jonny sack can't be in there then it's like. Oh no Johnny's exit. We're going to fill in their man. We'd better have phil now fills here. And there's an issue at this specis. He wants twenty five percent. frigging Goule look in Bush's always there who I hate. He's so perfectly cast because he's just such it's a little ghoul and he's a little weasel guy with like lazy I and he's he's not straight out of central casting testing if you will feels very authentic like a like a muscle there but anyways. That's just all kinds of setting the tone now did you. You get an inkling at all like because even in this scene when they're in the car You know they mentioned the departed soundtrack. which I think is timely? I believe at least for when this episode aired on their listening comfortably numb. It does Kinda hang for a bit as Tony's like looking at Chris and there's several times I mean yeah. It was fairly obvious that the show is telling us that. Tony is noticing that he's I but I didn't then immediately go well of course they're gonNA crash and then Tony's going to kill oh him so I didn't see that park. Yeah I mean I guess. I think you're right that he's noticing. Something's off or is there like is there any type in some of these looks. Is there a you know a like regret of times lost with his you. You know once surrogate son Christopher I mean. We haven't seen this seen in a long time of Christopher Driving Tony around. It used to be a mainstay. It's true but I just saw saw him like he's like tweaking out or whatever you call it like he's just a off. The sound system has gone balls surveys. And he's just acting acton all weird and twitchy and that's all that I thought the Tony was seeing but maybe there is some of what you're saying. Well I just didn't notice it. Maybe I saw more of that later. When he's like I'll have to kill this guy? Yeah Yeah I think you're right I don't I. I guess because Chris Because the Christopher character always tell the soft spot a spot in my heart even with all his fuck ups in his relapses Even with him killing JT. He last week. I was still like not Chris. He might come around like watch this show before right Jim. Yeah remember this. I assume yes. I'm thinking even in the moment like even in the moment watching this. I was still kind of like you might come around. People have done worse he just killed. Jt Jt was kind of I mean in unison but still go on well I sent to you. I like my sort of theory thing that will often happen on a annual. TV show is is that someone will kill someone and that's how you know they're going to die because it's kind of telling the audience. Oh you don't need to have sympathy for this person anymore. There are so we don't feel bad when we kill him sort of thing. Sort of softens the blow But I feel that's that's partially but not entirely obviously doesn't take take all of the guilt away because Christopher only got to that point from all the ring in everything that he got from all of his friends which I think Paulie regrets and and well a lot of people regret after the fact but yeah I feel like some of the guilt is taken away off Tony but obviously not all of it. I don't know if if this if the previous episode hadn't happened and we just started here I would be like walked up actors. Yeah so it's an important piece of the puzzle. Aw but I guess it's like you said he just had just had a bullet in that gun and he wanted to fire it and it was Russian roulette with all of his close friends and family on who was going to get the bullet and and ended up being Christopher. And I feel like this is one of those moments that I'm really glad I didn't know beforehand because there's no way you can. I can rewatch the Sopranos without thinking in a not all of their scenes but a lot of their things like. Yeah Tony is GonNa kill this guy later. Yeah No Yeah I. I've watched all of it not thinking that and you are all of that thinking. So that's why it's really interesting to have this dynamic and it's going to be really interesting for me to rewatch the beginning of of the show again with them. All Buddy Buddy yes. Yeah and yet. 'cause I guess especially on Rewatch. I really did have sympathy for the way His Chris's Friend's didn't not that again. Not that he doesn't have his own responsibilities ladies And that he does make his own choices especially when he relapses but he didn't quite have a support system there where when it wasn't isn't convenient for everyone else they weren't quite okay with his sobriety so they I'm not saying it's like Tony's faults but in some cases it's almost it's so close to his faults in a lot of ways when you look at the scenes when he's like go come on have a drink. You know that. Kinda AH SALT. What's this piss taste in non alcoholic and then I mean i David Chase in interview? Jesus my voice David David Chase cracked up over. Yeah after all this time. I'm breaking up David Jason's like yeah. A lot of people seem to miss the the baby seat the car seat. And it's like I don't think so because it's like you go to that car seat so many times. Tony brings it up a bunch of times. So it's pretty clear you know Tony. I like I think someone had hinted at this on our twitter at shows which you know with the letter U. Instead of WTO you by the way when we're talking about the poly seen a few episodes ago and how Tony was looking for that little extra push. So he could maybe kill pauly and here he gets he gets it Twat like twice over between rationalizing it in his head about how he could kill his baby disguise a liability to also just confirming that. Yeah he's high and he's you know the same old Christopher and he kinda gets it here where he's like all right. This is what I need. I I can just kill this dude now and I mean they point out. Well I guess we didn't even mention Kennedy and Heidi the titular character's here like it's finally like we. We talk a lot about on this. Show that the innocent people suffer because of what they do. And and there's casualties of of their bickering and stuff like that. And it's almost like finally revenge in a weird way because and they even have the quick moment of like maybe we should go back. And it's like I'm on my learner's permit after dark or whatever and Alan Wall and the Soprano session book makes the statement that these these are the two most important characters in Sopranos because we all have a Kennedy and Heidi inside of us and especially Tony and and you know we have that one voice. That's telling you to do the right thing. And we have that other voice. That's pushing you to the dark side. Sounds I was like some polls show. I kind of agree I enjoy it. I enjoy it Through the read. But Yeah I definitely you know. There's there's a little bit of an IRA early factor due to their. But I think it's a sound theory. Wouldn't you say all right. Well I mean they're on the right side of the road. Though so in the way like it is still Christopher's fault obviously drives over to the wrong side and does the Swab so you know if it was true. Revenge of the normal people it would just be a plane crash onto their car and they would die. That would be the only fair way society to randomly take revenge but yeah it is a nice shot of them just say of course. They're not gonNA stop stop. This is the world of the Sopranos that bitter and cynical in the. Why would you so? There's something there at least nothing that just say that Christopher like he's the one petitioning for peaceful resolution to the conflict like hey why not stop and smell the roses something great to like. He seems to be in a good the place but then he's also on drugs so he's not a great place to be. Yeah he is. Yeah he is reminding Tony of you know whatever happened to that part of you. Whatever whatever happened to the Kennedy part of you if you will because Kennedy is the one that says? Hey maybe we go back. Heidi Kennedy. I'm on my learner's permit. We all have that Kennedy and Heidi come on go with it. All right. Great tweet graduate Jim but so do you have your counter. The judge Jesus forgot here. We've got a lot of shit if we forgot about this. Yeah imagine if we miss this one. Jesus Christ Yep so let me get the old counter up here here. The longtime coming good friend of ours spin around since the beginning Christopher Malta Santi finally meets his and got putting us at seventy five deaths and seventeen walkouts. And let's make make sure we don't miss the other death that's coming up soon. Yes absolutely well and also they make real quick back to spray. No I know sessions. They do point out. And Hang on a bit about Tony's expression here and relating it to comfortably numb because there he is Kinda Kinda like there's not as much really emotion there. He is just kind of blank face suffocating. Christopher in his in his zone blood I mean it is kind of hilarious. That Christopher's like just call me a taxi. I'll be good. It's like there's internal bleeding. Clearly like he was probably GonNa Anna di Either way but I guess there's he took away that small chance that maybe they would have saved them where the ambulance got here in time..

"I mean to me, it's like, why would you like go in separate cars? You want to separate tracks and Christopher followed. You all the way to a place where you chose Barry her. And then you just there like, it's kind of hard for me to believe that he would have just not have done anything. I mean as far as like. Him like helping them commit the crime. I don't know. I don't I mean he's done. He's pretty crazy. I don't know if I could see him. Doing it. I don't think I can. Why? He's just I don't know. I, I. He was really bad news on steroids. Really bad only put a gun to my head full, the trigger all kinds of stuff. I don't know if I could see him. I don't know. Did he ever talk to you about? Motive like. Yeah. You told me because he had his fiancee, and that he tried to break it off at this girlfriend Christopher dead. And she was just like not having it. And she told him, you know, ruin your career. I remember in your life and that's why you did it. And then Chris always told me that Christopher always said that his girlfriend reminded him of his mom, and he couldn't stand his mom. I doubt that. I remember. I mean even the girls I work still what everyone's while. Hey, what's going on with Chris has a arrested him? Yet, you know, that's why the girls that I work with everybody was shocked that nothing happened. He does get away with walked, did he say, why he led the kiddies to the day gave permission. Yeah. Because Christopher at already died. So I guess now is like an okay time. You mentioned one of the thing, like I just wanna go back there. Real quick. You said being in the back of looking at the stars. Was that a? Was that Chris? Thing or Christopher thing, definitely not a Chris thing. I don't know if that's Christopher thing. But he talked about that. He said, what that was something that he said that, Christopher that once in a while he said, I don't he's to stay still says, I don't know where they stopped like how close we land, or because I don't know where they went to, or they pulled in and stopped to look at the stars because I don't know. About. I know that Christopher was talking to Sam after he murdered her. I know that. But he he's hush about it. And I think he talked to Sam like daisy for children. Do they talk regularly before I don't think all the time, I think everyone. No, they didn't. I think it was like. Kind of like Krista need someone to talk to spill guts, about things that he's done. Maybe I don't know what's performances relationship as brothers. Trust each other districts transfers. They don't talk to. They don't talk at all. Like Chris kind of doesn't really talk a lot to his family. Like I talked to his nieces and, you know, like I talked them, but he's kind of, like, I think all the lies and everything I think they're everybody's kind of like stays away. Now. So do they still have the cases that actually still open? Closed. I understand. I get why. Mogul sheriff's department for long time. The goal was to close gazes, so. As fast as you can close them. Good closure. That's what you do. You know, it's family. Exactly. And it's but it's a reality based on budgets and caseloads. That's out goes. But I don't I don't think it's. Little big. So. It's three days later, and I'm looking at a property receipt given to Mary, by the police. It contains the items. They took from Chris spots truck. It includes one baton, which was the metal baton that Chris boss, had bought for his role as a police officer in the web series, the show cts it contains papers, which we believe to be the letter that Chris boss was writing Mary, there's a hat, two pairs of boots. At least one hundred rounds of live munition, a gun magazine a key, and a receipt from animal lumber dated February twenty third twenty eight. And the frustrating thing is after months of back and forth. My won't lumber. Contact never came through with cash receipt. Fortunately, Jaden comes through, and sends me there to pick it up. Okay. So I just want to add lumber. I one of the back office, the guy had me the receipt, and you're not gonna believe this. Yeah. I would look to the skew numbers, and I went and picked up each one spread out right in front of me right now. I bought the items, okay. Looking at them right now he gets a pair of suede gloves a flashlight. A big moisture absorbing towel. A shovel.

The son who went I wasn't going gonna let you other son stumble over without him greeting him. And I think you know, when people tell me they haven't had a connection with somebody. You know, you're you're sending to make. There's so many things that you say like resonate like like the things people say and then going to the cemetery like the whole like moving him. I said the same thing as if somebody's moving 'cause I'm I'm going to be next in the neighborhood. Somebody's moving his right from buffalo shoved out. Yeah. And it's funny. You know?.

All elite wrestling is supposed to come out is that we have and these guys are showing up or do they have something planned with Fox to be huge. Who the hell knows house but they seem like they think they're holding a trick up their sleeve right yeah? They have a full full deck hands. I don't want to mess up your timeline but yeah they get into that story. As far or is the cody Rhodes Way L.. Let's get into that a little bit later because that's more of a current thing and then that leads into the two thousand nineteen because let's get back into this. We stopped at that story but we haven't even hit June. We'll we'll do we'll get there. We're not in June hit. June came around and big cast was released by the W._W._e.. <hes> there's a lot about it but like he was he was also acting getting up on tours like getting a big head trying to throw guys out a logger as he had a relationship with Carmella was ready to <hes> mingle in and talk to other guys yeah. Hey when you still like someone. This is me that sucks I get an armchair armchair quarterbacking it over here thing but it seemed like as soon as the Carmella big cast relationship ended all of a sudden big cast is having all these weird weird blowups and being jerked hockey and stuff hidden take it well apparently apparently was the straw that broke the camel's back is Carmella was talking to a guy and big castles like beat. You can ask well. He also <hes> he also. I guess they were on a tour somewhere overseas and they were in a bus and he accidentally locked himself in the bathroom on the bus and thought he was being rigged and broke the fucking door down and then so for the rest of the tour nobody could like shit and peace because big cast broke the fucking door down when he locked himself in the fucking bathroom well yeah that's what they do in wrestling so in fairness right yeah pretty horrible story so a locked door dumb myself in here okay also in June a little bit sad or of an vader dead at sixty three after battling a severe case of pneumonia pneumonia vader also had recently been suffering heart problems that doctors had not given him a good outlook for <hes> yeah we I mean we kind of covered that without. It's always sad right July. Rolls July rose around Ramos. Stereo Signs is a two year deal to return to W._W._e.. Hulk Hogan begins to slowly start being reinstated right into W._W._e.. In a move that nearly everyone saw coming the return came with little fanfare and mixed reviews <hes> and we'll talk a little bit more about it when we hit the crown jewel coming up later in our talks <hes> but yeah that one was kind of like they slow played enough that everybody's like all right we get it. Just do it already right yeah right abandoned you just gotTa Rip Ribbit Right Yeah but this one was the right one to do because they were able to test the waters the hallway right and some people still didn't like it and some people very much voice that opinion they were like we get a man. You totally deserve to feel that that way but he's famous so we're GonNa make money now so sorry bro The you know what I mean. Sorry Kofi like I know you make a lot of money for us but Hogan instantly will probably tell you the moment we fucking put them back on the website. Get sorry constantly did and that it kind of sucks. I mean I agree with that like from copious perspective. I'd be like to this fucked up and you're right. Kofi realities fucked up though sometimes right. I mean like yeah one thing I want to touch on before we go any farther with those you'd mentioned <hes> Siham punk wine won their lawsuit but you know it's Kim punk did not win his second U._F._C. fight that bad goddess terrible yeah he looked even worse than in the first one was with worse competition all right so always take a chance to make fun of him failed zero and back into July. We had two deaths kind of back to back which were one Nikolai Volkov dead at seventy. Not You know I mean you know say expected but that's a normal age for passing then we had Brian Christopher dead at forty six from suicide question mark while in prison listen. That's up in the air. It's a lot of yeah it's it's a lot of controversy. If we're going to be journalistic right a lot of controversy surrounding it <hes> I don't know the details of it enough to to weigh in either way but definitely not taken well by the family the right questions pissed a lot of questions surrounding the jail staff and Brian Christopher's relationship with them and whether or not he would have committed suicide you know yeah that's one of those unsolved mysteries as I think I feel like someone somewhere with some money to spend is going to go into the real dead Brian Christopher. We're GONNA get maybe a podcast or D._v._d.. Or something like a episode of or a series of cereal all right and we'll end up in August here because that's about summer slam feels like a good break. Colt Cabana filed a lawsuit against longtime best friend seeing punk over an alleged agreement over the legal costs associated with their defensive reliable and slander lawsuit filed against them by Dr Simone that one was dismissed and he since filed another one in a different way because it was dismissed on a technicality Jim the Anvil night heart dead at sixty three which were still hearing about today Cain officially sworn in as the mayor of Knox County Tennessee. Yeah that happened yeah so there's some big news items now mania to Summer Slam. I mean unless you WanNa hit on some of these other news items what did <hes> it lead us into storyline wise storyline wise so we that's the smackdown or excuse me we got summer slam. Which is the second biggest show of the year? <hes> you know the the thing that gets you from Summer Slam. I call it. I call it the mania for actual wrestling fans right like the maniacs the US for the mainstream media summer slam ours yeah so the big news. Excuse me the big matches that came from that <hes> one Ronda Rousey defeats Alexa Bliss to become the new women's chamber we go from WRESTLEMAINIA NIA two couple months later and now around his strapped up we got Roman reigns finally defeating brock listener finally or the championship. What else do we have here? We've got it. Oh we've got one of the best storylines on smackdown this year. It was when Samoa Joe Defeated A._J.. Styles via disqualification after styles hit Joe with the chair because this was the the infamous I'll be your dad was such a great story line to that's where we begin saying like. Hey who's writing this on smackdown because there's at least a good writer on smackdown right we identified somebody can write a story. This was a lot of the you know I thought Joe has always done consistently good work right but with this and even though it's kind of played out the Jeff Hardy's a drunk thing that he's doing well. He's doing the slime ball hurt you and then also make funny you yeah Dylan really this is the best work I've ever seen from Joe because he's always been good at like that like Whoa this guy means business and he might actually stab me in the Dick Hole right like a like yeah and if you remember he did the title match with Leser leading into that that's when they did the side by side. He left the side by side confront brock listener. He's always like let's go throw some some hands right. That's always been good but he always felt like a psychopath what he feels more. Now is a sociopath right like yeah. It's it's controllable and he's choosing now right like he's choosing when to throw those little digs and win to get mean and wind unleash the beast. I mean it's it's it's top notch and that can only be because now he's like. He's got the best of the mentors he's not sitting there with. Whoever anthem sports was able to hire this month <hes> I gene over there on whatever so I agree and he's also working with talent? He's comfortable with all right and so you look at the roster you know A._J.. Styles he's obviously worked with. There's Eric Young. He's obviously worked with Jeff Hardy. He's obviously worked with in T._N._A.. So so there's also that like well. How do we do this match? They've done one hundred matches you know in dark or dark main events and stuff like that so he's also probably more comfortable <hes> with working with talent but the biggest thing to come from summer slim was the spark that started phenomenon summer slam was win. Charlotte flair defeated Carmelo and Becky Lynch but you know what happened. Afterwards Lynch turned heel. The man was born then yeah. The man was born right there. When everyone thought like oh well that'll be fun? I really think going into that. If you would have said like Oh becky lynch will go. He'll okay that'll be good. Charlotte Flare Charlotte flares. Let's push. I would have said we'll see we'll see and the crap. The crowd made that moment because we're like nope. We are with Becky Becky. She's right in this situation. She's right in all situations. Let's all hail. The man and boy did she take over this was is the spark that started she just ear belong to the man she just does for whatever reason have that charisma and and seems to developed it recently of like she could be saying the meanest nastiest stuff right the most ron stuff you've ever heard anybody say and somebody could be like fuck you..

"W._B._Z.'s refusal right is what they call <hes> which they have always invoked every time R. O.. H. Wanted to book a show Sinclair Broadcasting Right yeah and they said W said Nope they can't do it and sinclair broadcasting told massive square garden cool. We're GonNa see you because this is illegal. which it kind of is there? They may have a loophole out of it but that's supposed to be illegal right you can't you can't do that so <hes> the the tricky part becomes here sinclair broadcasting which owns h owns thousands of Fox affiliates thousands that can refuse to air smackdown when it goes on now. They wouldn't want to do that because nothing they're going to air time. Slot is going to earn what smackdown concern but you know what theoretically I would think as the alternative. What would you say throw the Alternative Throw Borrow H. O.? I was going to even say you know we'll play. SMACKDOWN messages won't be live. I'm late. We'll play it later right right so they can do any kind of thing right. So now the ideas both companies are well established enough to know that it's better to play Nice. They'll reach a deal and they'll just working out <hes> and and subsequently R. O.. H. was able to run that show <hes> so you know what I mean like. They booked a show. They haven't ran right ever run it but they've been able to book it so far so it's interesting how this is going to play out. <hes> smackdown may become the bigger deal which is another thing that I heard 'cause you know. My ear is to the M._M._a.. beat as it is because that's my favorite sport another thing that's been pushed from Fox to W._W._e.. So this is coming as directive from the network saying and this is what we want you to do on our network is they're trying to push <hes> Daniel Cormet the U._f._C. heavyweight and he's going to get stripped on Saturday but you have see light heavyweight champion to be the broadcaster on these smackdown yeah and Debbie legitimate feel all the rumors keep saying that like Debbie has something that they think is a big deal plan for coming right out of the gate in two thousand nineteen. uh-huh now we're going to talk about this later. All elite wrestling is supposed to come out is that these guys are showing up or do they have something planned with Fox to be huge. Who the hell knows but they seem like they think they're holding a trick up their sleeve right yeah? They have a full full deck hands. I don't want to mess up your time line but you get into that story as far as the cody Rhodes Way. "Went out of your way to help your neighbor, you help the friend you served you cared your business gave back you found a way to make a difference because that is going to last longer than anything else you do. That is gonna last longer than anything. And I want to talk about your clients here. Dolf do you find that people are more likely to give their time and money when they reach retirement, and they have a little more focused on that type of thing. I mean, I have never been a Tibo number. But I respect him a lot what he does and giving the charities whether it's the armed forces charity. The wounded warriors children's first animals, however, it is it is there's no better feeling the holiday party. We're gonna have over two hundred fifty gifts for giving to children's I assure as a donation that. It's just a wonderful feeling seeing those kids get those gifts and things in life like that that can make you happy things like that that make you relieved when you're looking at people giving their time and money when they reach retirement is how are you going to use this and we've been talking about this? The whole show is creating lists and life is a list of different segments of your life. You have zero to fifteen and then then you get your driver's license, then you're going off to college and then going into your working years, and you're enjoying years until you're thirty. Saving years from thirty to sixty. And then you're retired from sixty going forward. But you have to have that list prepared for like what about the end of the year review? We were talking about earlier, Kristen is creating the okay, these are the ten things I want to accomplish next year. And these are the ten things I want to avoid next year. And when people get those lists together, and they can use their money, and accordingly and realized how much time this is going to be time maintenance is so important. Is it safe to say the two thousand eighteen went flying by Christopher dead? Yeah. I mean, it's unreal. You take a week vacation. And next thing know, what you're.
