"Ooh. Columbia, South Carolina. Sheldon kalon. Hey, what's going on? Hey. I'm going to talk about the cheating scandal. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Truth the stranger than fiction, but I can talk about anything underneath the sun. But, you know, this is the main thing, you know, this matter right now, my oldest nephew his name is on my maybe my might know him and all he went to grambling, but his name is Christopher McLean junior. His dad is a retired navy warrant officer, and all and mother was political science physics major and he got accepted in the Yale. Now, I'm kinda glad he didn't go because I think they've been implicated and all that, and what I want to say to the I guess the apple affluential crowd that thinks they can buy their way into these academic institutions is that people really bust their tail and all that to try to get in me. I barely got into Wichita state university as a broadcast journalist major. I'm his ankle. And you know, I I just you know, I'm ACT, but my nephew. He all the way I mean, free and clear. He got into Yale University. You know, he didn't have to Photoshop his image on. Attack. He's unattractive dollar ship. And all that. But he's I mean, why did decree decided not to go. Oh, the most simplistic of reasons he wanted to stay close to home, his mom and dad are in Atlanta. That's my my my kid sister there in Atlanta, you know, with her husband and everything like that. So he went to grambling, and he said, you know, we'll show I don't I don't wanna go to Yale. And I'm like, why would just give my IT. I give my arm everything to go to Yale. And all because I'm is a military brat. I grew up, you know, including Great Britain. And at one time I wanted to go to Cambridge University. Oh, wow. I love to tell you the story about that. But he said that you know, uncle I wanted to stay close to home. You know, I wanted to go to school, you know, in Atlanta, Georgia. I didn't want to go to Yale. And I'm like. Kill giving the Yale and all that. But I'll tell you my my Cambridge University story. Yeah. Is Cambridge the highest university in that area. Or is that? Oxford Oxford, Cambridge. I guess it's almost a quivalent to yell Harvard. Right. Like that in Ohio, and I had a plan. I I was a B plus student, you know, brilliant as my oldest nephew and all that. But what I was gonna do is going to go to Cambridge college arts and technology. There is a way to do things that are playing, and I was gonna tell you my anal levels. And that would at least give me the ability to be strong enough against the Brits to apply for Cambridge University. There's no guarantee that if I went to Cambridge college arts and technology that I would get accepted into Cambridge University because it's highly competitive Cambridge and Oxford and all that, but but it's just horrible. You know, the cheating scandal the money. You know, if you have the ability us the ability because a lot of us, you know, I'm not rich. I'm not poor. But I don't have the ability to fork out half a million dollars and everything. To get my kids in school and everything like that. So they put him in jail twenty years more. Let them think about I mean twenty years in jail. That's what you're rooting for. Well. Whoa. Yeah. Going overboard and everything like that. You know, I'm k- cracking the whip too much, but but throw him in jail give them some jail time for that. Because you know, there's a way to get there. You know, I did it, you know. And I'm sure there's lots of people out there. You say, you know, it's hard. It is. I mean school is really expensive. I mean back in nineteen eighty one when I win burned up all mom and dad's money, so that's why I joined the air force. You know, a great great way of life and everything like that. You're forced police special operation, you found a way you try to find a way. Yeah. But I'd go back to school schools the way to go. Because like my dad said, you know, he's thirty years Vietnam vet and all that he said wars always going to be around. But you only got one shot to go to college go to university, you know, to do that don't waste your don't cheat. Don't you? If you can't make it an all there's go junior, college and everything like that. You know, just try to best you can and all that. Because I I'd barely scrape through on my ACT and all and then. For them to be able to buy their way. And then the lie about being on the crew rowing crew. And all that. No. All right. Sheldon throw the book at him twenty years in the big house. Yes, sir. God bless and godspeed. You my friend, thanks for taking my call on funny. You said twenty years, I think what her Lori Laughlin. Her bail was set at a million dollars or something crazy like that a million dollars wo-. I don't understand. Okay. I get that. It's a bad thing that happened. But it's not like a twenty year in prison bad thing. Right. What are we got a minute here? We could talk about college. You know, does it even matter where you go to college for anyone that actually went to college. Do you think it matters? You think you'd be better off right now if you went to Yale in did the same route for yourself. I I don't know. There actually is some research data that goes into that NBC news did a poll on it too. This makes me wonder.
