CBS's Linda Kenyon has the numbers. The Reuters Ipsos poll finds about half of Americans said they are interested in getting an updated COVID -19 vaccine. The results suggest that more people might be willing to get a booster shot now than they did a year ago. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, only around one in six Americans opted for an update on COVID There's just a bit of good news about the flu this year, says CBS's Stacy Lynn. Vaccines for the upcoming flu season look promising. Early data from five South American countries during their flu season which just passed showed the vaccines reduced flu -related hospitalizations by 52%. Washington DC Metro to replace 130 escalators at more than 30 stations
"Completed an eight year long project that replaced Ah 145 escalators and rehabilitated about 153 of them. Then started repairing 89 escalators throughout the system will now we've learned Metro is going to begin replacing more than 100 escalators and dozens more station soon. The transit agency will spend $179 million over the next seven years on the new project, it will replace 130 escalators in 32 metro rail stations beginning in May. Escalators at the Roslin Dupont Circle and Tenley Town stations are being replaced. Those are among the longest escalators in the system. The D C area of report by the Greater Washington partnership found that employers expect fewer than 30% of their workers to be physically at work sites in the first quarter of this year, increasing to 75% By the fall. The report finds the capital region a second on Lee to the San Francisco Bay area in the share of people who work in remote capable jobs.
