Among them. Kyle Busch. Why don't we take a look at the leaderboard right now? As we work under this caution flag tolerate IQ right now showing the way Alex Hayden over William Byron and Ross Chastain, who goes 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Kyle Larson is fourth and Kurt Busch is fifth. Joey Logano's sixth. Kevin Harvick is seventh. Bubba Wallace goes eight. Ryan Evers, Li 38, Daniel Suarez, 39th and Ryan Priests went out early laps. Six. Ryan will be scored 40th. The field makes its way into turn 14 that is the final corner. Pit lane We're hoping is open this time by it will be in fact open as the green light comes on at the entry to pit road to drivers, right and we'll find out right now has kept Children takes the pace car by the opening of pit road. Who elects to come to pit lane, who elects to stay on the race track looks like all of the front runners, with the exception of perhaps Kyle Busch is going to stay on the race track. So everybody but Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott will stay on the racetrack as well. We start our pit lane coverage, wants to get to the top of the hill with Pete Estonia at the entry to pit road and it's going to be the race leader, Tyler Reddick leading the parade down pit road. He'll come into his pit style here. This will be a four tire stop. You're the left side first. Of course, one can discern Uncle fuel going in no adjustments to this race car right now. "Now as they come up off turn number four Joe Gibbs Racing. Toyota's occupy not only the first three positions, but four of the top eight positions in the running order, Jeff Again. Joe Gibbs Racing showing some muscle while you're talking about Truax, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin. They go, 123 and at the moment uncontested Christopher Bell with a good day. Today, he is right now running in position number eight Christopher Bell getting his first ever checkered flag earlier this season, and that was on the road course at the Daytona International Speedway. So congratulations. See, bill. A lot of people have him penciled in as a winner at some point this year, Jeff, but I don't think anybody have him penciled in winning the second race of the year, and we talked about this last week. We'll talk about it very briefly. Right now. All three team Penske Ford Mustangs have qualified for the playoffs. Right now. Three of the four Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas are in Christopher Bella's in True Exes in Kyle Busch is in that leaves. What has been One driver most dominant all year long yet to get in, because he's yet to score a win. Yeah, absolutely out of lost a nickel If somebody bet me that Denny Hamlin will be the last Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota to get the victory Lane here in 2021, but Alas, that's where we are right now. I said I would lose the same bet. If you talked about Hendrick Motor Sports. Three of the 400 Motor sports drivers have won already this year. The defending serious champion chase sell it. He's the one that hasn't gone to victory Lane yet for Hendrix, so between Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott. I lost some money on that. If somebody would've bet me that they would be the last in their respective organizations to get the victory Lane right now, Chase Elliott is nine. Like Bagley, put your binoculars on the 18. He's headed your way, and I believe there's debris on the grill of.

"Athletes. At one point we had a couple of hockey players that made their way to the NASCAR pit crew rings, but you're right. These are absolute pure bred athletes, and this is an opportunity to come back and keep those competitive juices going because NASCAR racing is about as competitive as they come. They're pretty big size down there, aren't they, Steve Post. You lined up next to him each and every week. Well, but the Jack man and the gas man put his big boys guys in her swimming. The tales are pretty solid, and the guys would have changing the fails and little guys with really quick hands and feet, so there's a lot of different skills. I'm the pit stop crews of these teams, and there's recruiting that happens on college campuses for people to become pit crew members. Maybe that NFL career didn't work out, but you still have the competitive juices a career in NASCAR pitting cars. There's a great way to go, and they are some wonderful athletes down here. We have a podcast called Crew call on Emory and calm And we've got a couple of shows this year with some of the athletes really, really neat, the way they all have made it to NASCAR Cup series Xfinity Truck series racing, and it is impressive to watch nothing sweeter to watch than a well time 12 2nd pit stop by the men and women, the athletes that pick through these cars here in NASCAR. Yeah, that is for sure. And they're about to get busy right now. Christopher Bell is in And Kyle Busch is then let's cover the stopper Christopher Christopher Bella's in ream colors. It's the black and red colors on his Toyota. Just a little loose is what has been trending all day long. Four tires Sunoco racing fuel directly behind him to pit boxes. It's Kyle Busch in getting pit service bushes crude under the right side of that automobile. They've been making air pressure adjustment. They're pretty happy with the car. Done doing air pressure adjustment. Get that card dialed in Brad Kozlowski, the very first pit box. He has been out to the attention of the crew. Right side tires are going on that car. Quickly around to the left side People story looks like you have some cars in front of you as well. We had Manta Benedetto, and he was down in a way. Here's Kevin Harvick feel very last pit stall right side tires going on that Stewart Haas racing forward trying to get it just And a little bit better. Kevin Platt sold out during that last run there, see if you can make a last ditch effort to get a little closer the field. Ross Chastain is also in at this end of picked up four cars in front of ski post. Denny Hamlin is in of note that loose wheel now they got four good ones in and so Denny Hamlin is down and around Donna Way. Ryan Blaney is in four tires. Sonoko racing fuel. Race leaders in front of you, Pete. The guy they call young money. It's the money. Stop. Kyle Larson, Right side tires are on that Hendrick Motor Sports Chevrolet. Left side tires down second. Kennison Oko fuel, He lights up the tires. He goes to Steve Post. Martin Truex Jr brings his car down. He's been a little bit frustrated over the course of this run in the car just will not run at the top of the racetrack. It's very low so that he doesn't want to slap the safer barrier. It is the auto owners, insurance colors, the blue and the dark blue on the back of the car pump on behalf of the jack on the left side, left side tires off. Left side tires on its full of Sunoco racing. Jill Martin Truex Jr is down in a way we've got an errant tire out into the ball field, the midway area that might be a factor as well as Tyler Rhetta. Holy look out of the pit service beat following up what's happening down in your own. There's out of $500. Michael McDowell was in four tires to local feel for him. Eric are Merola was in his well, trying to see if they can service salvage something out of a frustrating day. For that. Stewart Haas Racing entry, four tires and cenote go fuel, So most of the leaders have been down pit road now at this end That era tire that got away. Looks like it came from Tyler Reddick Spit box. There's a couple of crew members out there just kind of a waiting.

Byron Prevails at Homestead for Second Cup Victory

"Year old Hendrick Motor Sports driver William Byron captured his second NASCAR Cup series win yesterday at the Homestead Miami Speedway, winning the Dixie Vodka 400 firing letter race High 102 of the races 267 Labs and beat second place finisher Tyler Reddick to the line by 2.7 seconds. Claim that checkered flag, not a lot of great people around me. Keep me pushing and we had a great offseason to prepare. My Rudy's come in and done a phenomenal job, and he knows how to how to push the right buttons with me and you know, I know exactly what he means when he says that, so I just had to go to work, and luckily we had enough car there. At the end behind Byron and Reddick were Martin Truex Jr. Kyle Larson and Kevin Harvick completed the top five. Six through 10 went to Michael McDowell, Ryan Newman, Kurt Busch, Alex Bowman and Kyle Busch. After three races firing joins Michael McDowell and Christopher Bella's drivers locked into the playoffs following their wins the prior two weeks and Daytona NASCAR Cup series heads out West this coming weekend to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"What advice do you have for those. Who wanna start showing up more intentionally in this season or even like questions that one can ask themselves. Who am i. What are my strengths. What are my values. Answer those first couple of questions. And then i think it's also the top three causes that you really wanna fight for. What are you willing to fight for. Welcome to the filipina on the rise. Podcast ice spotlight filipino. Women doing fake things and making an impact. I'm christopher bella. And i aim to promote excellence emperor community through our stories while educating the world about us and celebrate what it means to be a filipina. Today we're talking to my zabala. Alday might is a writer artists and nonprofit professional. She's the founder of she's mighty mighty instagram which aims to create a safe space uncomfortable conversations around taboo topics such as mental health social injustice and relationships. Her pages garnered a large falling as it's funded is so educational as vulnerable storytelling putting a critical lens on current events. If you have a chance before this talk to both through instagram which is. She's underscore money. I would definitely check it out. You'll see how her content cuts into taboo topics and will open your eyes to look at social racial and political issues into play. Might it is a wife mother and lifelong learner. Who i wanna put it up and ni- powerhouse. He gets us all a little more hope. So this month was filipino. American history month. And i hope we found personal ways to observe or celebrate or you just educate ourselves. The theme. This year was the history of filipino american activism highlighting the myriad ways philly byun americans have participated in social justice movements fitting in really well with the momentum of current events in activism this year philippine on the rises mission is about spotlighting filipino. Women making an impact in encouraging our community to reflect on who we are and how we show up given theme and us going into elections with much political discourse happening around us. i thought who's a filipino. Begin highlight that shows us different ways of being an activist questions. Can we ask herself as filipina women to show up more intentionally a listener who is connected with recently wrote that this can be about encouraging filipinos to use her voice and take us dan and what we believe in and being a safe space to pull us into these conversations. There is no better person to bring on as a guest then my she really knows how to weave in respect and even compassion in uncomfortable conversations in this episode. We discuss how creating space to be wrong. Actually empowering how a turn disagreement to opportunities of learning and finding humanity one another we share how to disarm a disagreement and a script on finding common ground. Finally we discuss ways. We as filipino. Women can embrace our unique identities and show up intentionally in this current socio political climate election season and how to hone in on our personal activism. Why this is important for our community. Is i think a strong trade of filipinos is our ability to hold space and half dialogue with people feel comfortable and connect to us and i think this is something we can leverage when it comes to difficult conversations and also push and challenge ourselves in. This discussion is really important to me. Because she gives us tools to enter discussions and walkway. More united. I don't know about you but i have a lot of friends and loved ones where we have disagreeing views few years ago in college and fresh out of it. I thought there was power in being assertive and ready to debate or time. These discussions went from me trying to prove my point to feeling frustrated at the division and eventually never wanting to enter them. And i fell into this season of silence. I realize a way out of this. Silence is to learn how to engage in these charts discussions and find common ground and how humility can peel back. Layers each other's humanity and said of trying to be the super informed. Ready to debate activists. I know my posher now for a lot of us is how to promote peace and unity and personal activism. Like might issues here. I can't wait for this talk here. We go all might have thank you so much for coming on the building on the rise. Podcast so honored and excited to have you here. Thank you so much for having me excited to chat with you in talk to you. Talk about what it means to be a philippine on the rise. While i'll let you know when someone connected me to you on the team and we wanted to take encouragement this month for filipinos to use their voice to take a stand in what they believe in and to pull them into conversations and you could not have been more of a perfect guest to on the show. Anyone who had scroll through a page. We can see that you are not afraid to bring up uncomfortable conversations as it educates our community to go beyond just these topics were used to having and even when like i pull up your post on my on my gosh. I've never thought about that. The way anything from like you know how we view accents or relationships or you know. Mental health is a huge thing. And how we're looking at current events and how that's affecting us to color ism and just like little things that we don't get to get this real and vulnerable so thank you for creating the space. I can't wait to dive more into that. And what led you to this but miter the question. I always knew it is in your own words. My says bala all day and what is your current mission. Good question so. I get the sunday newspaper and every time i get it. I go straight to the msci worries. That sounds a little morbid. Except i'm always interested in how people want to be remembered and happened. They talk about themselves. And i i want to be remembered as just imperfectly. Perfect and someone who was five foot with moxy and someone who cared about other people's stories and the someone who was always seeking compassion in terms of my admission with she's mighty mighty. I'm exploring lied range of topics especially around mental health. Social justice relationships. But what's most important to me is really creating that safe space to have these uncomfortable conversations around taboo topics and trading place for people to be okay with being uncomfortable and having the log I love that you started off. Saying i want to be remembered for and i think that's something we need. It stops at times and ask ourselves like. How do i want to be remembered. And the fact that you have package that all up and want to be someone who is remembered for having compassion. I think that's beautiful. We're going to see later how that's actually tied in to how you approach your work and how you want to bring compassion into these difficult conversations right. You have such an accomplished background work in higher education. Non profit Film production entertainment so much and i think there's this underlying theme of community engagement personal activism. Tell us about your upbringing. You know how you got to this point in your career. But how being filipino has shaped your experiences more specifically. I love that. You mentioned that growing up. You were this outspoken. You're raised in certain ways as being filipino and also them education but you were an outspoken child and you kind of learn how to view your outspokenness and versus what the world was telling you how to be.

"Is not too far behind in the second spot. Running in the third spot is Hamlin and then you've got Jimmy Johnson, William Byron and Kevin Harvick Racing hard for position. Jimmy Johnson just drove around Kevin Harvick with a parent. He's William Virus does the same. Harvick, Kyle Busch. Couple of others here. Mike Bagley really beginning to back up as we reached the tail end of this long run, Yeah, The newness of the tyres has given up, but now everybody's just slip sliding all over the racetrack. But summer having better success than others, Jimmy Johnson number one on that list of drivers that don't seem to be losing control of their car, and some others are well, we went back under the green flag lap number 30 after the NASCAR competition caution, Alex Aiden, so we have put 37 laps down. Chase Elliott TRO ex. They lead with 48 to go here in stage number one. So let's take a look at the Dixie Vodka Leaderboard. Brought to you by Dixie Vodka as the first official vodka NASCAR folks. "They changed four tires. I mean, all the lettering was still on the tires so seriously could not have been that bad, but they changed four tires and send him back out, and we do have some safety crew out on the racetrack, checking some checking for some debris. Here along the front stretch and again, it is a front stretch, not a front straightaway. It has a couple of little kinks in it on and the drivers when they exit turn for they're just turning off. Thank down to turn number one. You're grinding on the wheel. A lot of this racetrack. I mean, it's not severe along the front stretch, but you still are having to turn the racecar. Now. Here is the full field run down. Martin Truex Jr leads Ryan Blaney, a 2nd 3rd is Brad Keselowski, forthe Kurt Busch fifth. Kevin Harvick. Six. William Byron Christopher Bella. Seventh. Michael McDowell. Eight. Jimmy Johnson being scored his ninth and 10th. This Austin Dillon, Kyle Busch 11th Clint Boyer, 12 13 Cold Custer 14th. Matt Benedetto. 15th Joy Logano, Alex Bowman, 16th 17th. Tyler Reddick, Chase Elliott, 18th 19th. Erica Merola, 20th Chris Buscher. Then in the 21st spot. Denny Hamlin, Ty Dillon, 22nd Eric Jones, 23rd. He is the last car on the lead lap minus one in 24th is Ryan Newman, followed by Daniel Suarez. We had a bunch of cars used a pit strategy to stay on the lead lap that they caught a lucky yellow and now a bunch of them will use the wave around as we watched the field come by, behind that Toyota Camry Pace car. And Jimmy Johnson's had a pretty decent day today, but he is going to fall well back in the pack because he had to make a couple of different pit stops here in this rotation, trying to pick his actual location upon the racetrack and mark, I think the scoring were being provided was a little bit off and showing where Johnson Waas, so we'll wait and see. So Jimmy will come back across the stripe here in just a moment they will update ity again is showing ninth but After that pitstop should fall a little bit farther down in the running order, and we'll just have to see where that ends up. So right now we're gonna wait. Let our scoring in time and get caught up with seems to be a slight glitch in that and we'll have that squared away here in just a moment as the field is still going around single file here, Not that much racing to go 33 laps to go 32 when they come back to the Geico restart zone, And if you just joined us, Eric Al Merola dominated early lead 128 laps and then when he lost the lead He never got it back Bark. Corrects junior out front for the second time today has led 42 laps on counting. Now, Brad Keselowski has led 34 laps. Ryan Blaney, 12 and then Kyle Busch led nine and need to mention that Ryan Blaney driving one handed again. Early on. That card began jumping out of here. So now Blaney with his right hand, holding the gear shifter to keep it in high gear. While he steers with his left hand. All right. Well, we'll give you the top 10. Here again. Martin Truex Jr Leads it. Ryan Blaney, 2nd 3rd is Brad Keselowski forthis. Kurt Busch, fifth is Kevin Harvick. William Byron is six. Christopher Bell seventh. Michael McDowell, eight. Ninth. Is Jimmy Johnson. Intent Is Austin Dillon. Now what you hear out there are all of the wave around cars that are coming around to get back on the lead lap. 17.
