"Age sixty five was town crews and that that didn't seem to know the might be a case of the morning. Line being a little out of whack. Then you know the late money conundrum. Anyway i it was not. It was not a a shocking equation And result frankly to me anyway. I just i just was hoping or expected. The town cruise was going to have more company and it just never it just didn't materialize and i mean you look at and frankly look through this. I mean change. It control was the horse that needed to apply pressure. Let me 'cause you the the you know the euro invaders weren't gonna do it. And yeah i mean it just I was disappointed with avenues. Flatter who kinda ranged up. And i thought was making a move and stop that i was trying to make a case there at a at a nice price but march to the arch As well kinda came came calling and Too late so strictly strictly one of those cases where after the fact you realize you know this was a lot easier to dissect instead of trying to over think and make other cases anyway. That was the that was the big you know the biggest of the day. "And then into sunday ron gear kink with us from the form and the to grade ones that just have become so important Breeders cup ramifications for juvenile turf races and these two one turn miles just as Fun and interesting and a lot of names that we saw at saratoga over the summer Mixed in with woodbine local. The two year olds The presence of Pizza bianca in ear for bobby flay and christoph clermont that terrific debut early in the saratoga meet chad brown shows up with a somewhat obscure purchase by michael dub and And partners eminent victor. Coming off a win for michael pitch in chicago and now has been with chad appeared saratoga for a really about a month so eminent. Victor probably an important player in here and then You can probably bring us up to speed on most of the locals in the grade. One town and i believe bobby plays a supposedly coming for the race. So so that that's significant. Yeah that'd be cool to have him here for the race pizza back is a home-bred For him and the fifth place finisher came out of her saratoga. Bayden win to win Hill to so She's poured at one on the line. And certainly we in with a shot then Kathy has four in the race and Diabolic i think is in his best of the four. She's unbeaten in three starts on to and the terp and she she won the local prep going up six and a half stakes called the catch. A glimpse so She had a little trouble in that race now inside on the turn that she came. Run and I think she should like the mile he's got cardio princess who he questions her going. A mile off of a five furlong firm running maiden win and Maiden mrs barbara. Who's owned by jim lawson actually who Going to be a long shot. But she's run coming off a third and then we'll go prep and he's also got a long shot but quiche who I start on the turf off a Winning didn't know sort of a minor ontario saw a yearling sales stakes here. Those i really liked those radio lady at ten to one on the line for charles. V key and roger outfield Her maiden win on turf to maintain appear going seven eighths. She was very professional. Day that inside Waited waited made a run and got up on the wire And she's half to lady despite speier's won this race last year so she's She went that maiden race with colorado but Guard committed to diabolic. So emma wilson can pick up the mount and shiro ladies bites peer pratt field to win this race last year. So and and bites period ended up being champion two year old billion kansas sell. I think she's in with a real good shot if she can work from the inside down. Don't forget the rails down so we're only one so the whole course being used so it's that should be the best part of the course because there's a really interesting group and some. They'll there's always some mysterious types in here and i haven't done anything Terms of watching some replays like wild beauty the appleby invader. "So i might be behind now but anyway i i. You know what he's been riding your confidence level hearing's getting them on the right horses in and it's just tough. I'm steve i go down this rabbit hole. I look courses you know doing shows on equity base. And then i'll look at you know dams and and siblings and then i well. I wrote that. That horse and i'll go back to the day. The charts The equities charts. And i'll look at the whole card and she would road that day. I can't tell you how many times i've ride every race. Now you know some chances. Three two one five torn four to one. But then it'd be three or four. That i i don't understand what the guys that will work with could have been thinking sturdy to one morning. Line guy shipping from rockingham. That i don't even remember you know he's not like what was a customer with somebody ripe for rode horses for i. They never gave me a break. And i pulled four five pounds every single morning. You know starving to death living on seven hundred calories a day and literally ride the card. And there'd be three or four no-hoper sprinkled in there and you know i'm out there i'll do it and going out there and just just right. No wonder like not only did the injuries pile up. But how how. Bad an attitude. I would have sometimes worn out. And i wish i could have recognized that in the midst of tell guys that hey wait a second. I can't do this. You know you you to like. I've got enough energy to write six properly not ten. You know i just never had the capability of of verbalizing that a of articulating that to my agent and not to say that i'm generalizing. I had agents. That did take care. You know but the vast majority of times. I go like i said i go down this rabbit hole and go. Okay well i sixty one b. two horses who's this guy is a oh. The horse came from rock in rockingham finger lakes. Or you know and again getting back to johnny. I think just an angel was such a competitive angel. Wanted to ride every race every day. When he had the ability at the energy the focus to write two three four horses in a race and know where everybody was going to be and he enjoyed that I just thought the angel could ever wrap his head around the fact that johnny ditch didn't wanna to write and recognized capable of writing that many to the level that he expects himself. I think that's the best way to put it well. Well framed rich. I got about Got two minutes and christoph is going to join us and didn't get a chance to talk about some of the other races. The you had that jack. Christopher of chad's that looks like a major major two year old player that was impressive and of course on On friday they haven't had a chance to talk at all about the The showcase card including that american revolution. Who flexed his muscles. That that's a that's a more than a nice three year old new york breads so there's plenty more to talk about. Yeah not a great day racing. I always love showcase day and you see so many of the new york. Breeders come out and enjoy the day and then they're so proud of the horses they're putting out and and as well they should be and just quickly as jumps off the him. Catch a plane ball. He wins the the much of the gold cup over there. Charleston jocelyn charleston classic. So i you know. And then flies. Back and wins the travers. I mean just the incredible run And you know what that guy. That's easy to root for very very deserving kind of person so wretch go take care of that pony. Great talk you said. I'll see you only get back. I'll see you probably wednesday thursday. The truck thursday. We get the micronesia award. Sean parker's gonna Receive it thursday. Nice and i'm on saratoga. Live friday saturday sunday monday. So i finished out the four days up there and Looking forward to seeing you absolutely rich mccleary everybody and A big big finish ahead. There's going to be a very good closing week Looking forward looking forward to finishing. I've i've been everywhere so i get to. I got to settle in and have the last The last few days of the season will probably probably do as many as i can from Track this week. Not sure that sure tomorrow too. If you think you think i'm starting to fade. Now wait until. Wait till i get Wait wait till tomorrow's show. We think we're hurting now I reached out by the way. For carl. Broberg as well and i i did not get a chance to meet girl here He and so. I thought it'd be fun to talk to him. He also Won the saint. Louis derby On saturday and so. We're going to talk to carl. "And marcus said you know what it was a fitting end. The the he added it's just Everybody kind of walks away with just a a forlorn feeling. Yeah it's just it's it's it's basically inexplicable i mean. Well what was the point. Then it as you say maybe it was fitting exclamation point on the entire situation. But sadly fitting i guess. Yeah well not not important to dwell on let's Let's take a look and help people with this sequence sat than i. I'm trying to trying to craft a ticket that is that is fairly reasonable. I i i don't mind these days i learned years ago when i had one outstanding day In fact that the day that is part of my relationship with tina that to irs tickets and She was working the. Irs window So we have forty a chance to talk. we're off the turf and the fifth race for the two year old fillies. Now seven eighths and down to a four horse field including the mto you Do for putting the pick six ticket together. How how deep the field we gotta go. I might i. I stuck with my cock pick. And then i pulled them the lemieux in into the mix but my top pick with shined on the turf. I'm gonna stick on the dirt by jimmy crete so there's win early. Paid about a quarter of a million dollars in that august. Fifth works seems to indicate or will be okay even with the surface which i stuck with shine on top limb. You know. obviously you've got to pay any pay attention any Mto and any of these races today. so have that one in the thirty is down in the third spot and there are a couple of win. Early siblings there by frosted. Who's okay worked. Ten point one before the auction so that they leave this one. And i might be tempted to pull that one and depending on where you compare it out a little bit later but probably bill okay with with my top. Two two and the seven. I actually had shine on the main track I mean on the turf as well. And and i i i don't disagree that That she's usable here as well Diamond diamond hands. I didn't necessarily i. I think i had diamond hands in my original pecking order. I think. I just threw in as the fourth horse For christoph clermont. It's not it's not a not a great. What'd i what didn't i like. I i think from pedigree standpoint. Even though she's had nice she'd had nice work. She did not the sibling why she did not have a win. Early like a winner early feel it looked like she might be okay coming into this but she really didn't have a sibling that that was precocious from a two year old standpoint. So i i was. I had real kind of mixed reaction And robert l. Paid real money. They four and a quarter for this frosted philly So we'll see you get rosario going seven eight which is always a plus and kelly ruby stayed in with princess teruko who I wasn't that interested as tonal. A-list out of a coronado's quest mayor the longer distance seems like The the better better scenario but.

"Case. I'm not here. Dave yup okay. You you pick up dave and straighten that out and we'll come back the rest of the card You had you had a fairly straightforward Set of performances pizza. Bianca was very good and it really hit it. This was the bobby flay. Winter out of white hot and cute name pizza bianca fastnet rock philly and christoph clermont five to one k. Twelve forty expand the map was forging to the lead that hope over fear. I tried to get. I hope over fear we talked about you know price and was kind of motoring along under sayas but then got swamped and pizza. Bianca made the best last move under his area and at a milena sixteenth. Debut wins And it's funny because by because flay the there was that flay runner over the weekend. That kind of disappointed. So nice for mice for bobby and then as we had really kind of mentioned that used as the apollo chevy capital not play of the day dairy name the equality road philly was. Just i mean eight miles. The best and in fact was bottled up a little bit and rosario Patient enough and then one produced just scoot it up and wins the bet doubt even money which but to maiden wins back to back for the clermont far and the rest of the action. The lovely lucky came back from about five months six months break for time. Our tranny and ran Well got Got lucky. I thought on the on the photo because cat's pajamas johnny on the rail There you go nice just a nice day racing The highlight the great one though over the hurdles veve greenwich hurtling our technical issues. Good morning good morning as they say the can you hear me now. Exactly i can and Clear as a bell and dave a pretty robust opening week at the old spot. What else is it. I guess. I i the only thing i would baby slightly. I don't think disappointed. I guess wrong about thought there'd be More people Just thought that'd be be chomping at the bit to get here and You know twenty seven thousand opening days nice number but i still thought you know having this last year and i kind of thought it would even sort of gone over thirty You know look to me just in thinking about a little bit more. It's still you know for a lot of people early. July mid-july is still baby thoroughly. Perserverance oga To be in person So maybe you'll august toll thing you the more folks here. But the the raisins been solid. the beddings been beyond belief. And now know get Thirty four days ago exactly and we went into We went into opening week with You know a few a few highlights in mind and the two year olds certainly Always always focus here and the the echo zulu performance wit As well those were a pair of the two year old highlights and and then you know then we're going to get the assortment the turf the turf babies now started to come out as well and Yesterday and it feels like we're into a good steady. Beat one of the issues. Dave and the i want to ask you about the herpes Status you know that sort of was potentially even a bigger problem than it seems like. It's turning out but it did impact The entries for the coaching club and it. It does feel that there's certain divisions that it's just there's too many stakes around the northeast around the country And so it's making those fields a little meager size-wise and again. I'll down my my phrase. That'll be the thing as your previous question. What else isn't it. I mean jurisdictions. Just run the same in same division and expect to you know. People expect them to be all full field. And it's like it's not gonna happen You guys know iowa. Oaks delaware oaks non-nato coaching club. American oaks. I mean you know there. There's not an abundance of these sources You know some of the ones that came through the pipeline early to try and get to the kentucky. Oh fell by the wayside and you have sort of what's left and a couple of late late comers then you have a you know a stick out. Even over margin of victory doesn't sh- stamper as a standout but not now that is viewed as a you know kind of a monster type philly and maybe she just does what she has to do. But you know the the mother you not have a big field and that's three weeks you know. They're not gonna run back from the mother goose to the coaching club. They just don't do it anymore. So you know and then you have again now. That is just a monster in the division. And i think she's only gonna get better when i agree with todd. Pletcher as you know these trainer a assessment is gonna get better with the longer distances and more racing and as good as she was in the kentucky oaks. I expect her to be that much. Better in the alabama and tomorrow's a nice little sort of stepping stone to get to that the The three year olds get showcased on the turf today and for the second friday in a row last week. That forbidden apple shaped up as a fabulous race. Rinaldi ends up winning on the front end. This group today the lake. George typically like to look ahead to the weekend but it. It's hard not to look at this race. Save some thoughts about the this assembly. The funny thing is the only that i thought you could sort of dismiss is the one. Who's the trainer already believed believed that too because grandma's said yesterday could've scratched invincible gals so She was the only one. I thought probably spend couldn't win this race. It's a solid group of three year olds. Billy's led by the chad brown cortex And the one that. I kind of fancy a little bit. Stay on her last race in some of the training. I've seen it is the one on the outside and on I know that franko. But that might just help your price when you see you know i read on. Nbc and jose on technical analysis obviously both could win their. They're solid at announces cutting back to a mile but i like mitt on performance in the wild applause. She was blocked Runaway rumor who's who's a solid contender as well And it will be a price Got the jump on.

"Obviously you've been able to see won his last race by three and a half lengths. He ran second behind good steaks level. Dirt horse in his second career start in his maiden win was a nice win in. Its own right so i like that. He is consistent You know you may you may say to me. Well why don't you go to mass parade. the other eight to one horse in the morning line. Who won by eleven and three quarter lengths in his last race at churchill downs I'm not gonna pick a horse off of one race. I'm not on some of the favorite horses in here. And that he's not gonna stay there because everybody's going to have that same idea on mass parade and also He's only got one win His other victory is maiden race was eraser he got pulled up after a very ticky tack disqualification. So i'm on ethical judgment in here. I'm gonna try to beat the favorites but if you're not trying to beat the favorites in you're looking to some the horses from the triple crown share that If you're more casual viewer force racing. You don't know some of the non horses from the derby trail derby trail horses in here. You certainly got some good value. The value horses in here. And i have a preview this over on youtube very good good field. So i'm obviously going on all these horses Definitely worth a watch to to try and find some things. But i'm hearts of the pop. Promise keeper always have been given him love his entire career on this podcast and no reason for me to go against them in this spot. I i think he has a chance to run huge. Even though he's the morning line favorite. I obviously in going with them. Now we're going to move onto the next race so there's a pair of stakes at belmont park this weekend. One of them's graded stakes. The mother goose stakes The other ones are very interested. listed state for three year old grass. Fillies we'll talk about the mother goose stakes first because that's the first of the two stage races on the belmont card. This really in all senses looks like a two horse race. I have a preview of this over on youtube. So i'm not gonna waste too much time saying anything more about this in my topic is clear and you can head over there to see why like clairiere as opposed to chad's horse in this race and i'm going to be on always chad chat brown silly just to really nice. Professional wins not against fields. I will say from that. That made victory. Africa seconds replaced answers. How come back to win but Nevertheless not not grading states caliber as of yet and then kind of the same deal with that allowance race. But you know the workout really good. She's been really strong and she just holds a tactical advantage over. Everybody else in here. I mean the one make mischief is turned into a really ultra consistent. philly from our cast in gary barber. She might going press but she's not a you know a type that's gonna go out and set the pace and then you have clear and ilia gami who are two very talented phillies clear at a much higher level of a talented paints compromised in chicago. Who is She likes to stock and just has put into really poor efforts as tough. I mean that's that's the whole guilty right. There always was in tones. Most of cards Inflating proud aboard. He's very very strong Writer when it comes to detaining pace in and all those good things. So i just think she. I don't know i don't really think she's the best source on talent and here baking. She holds all the advantages. And now we're gonna move onto the next race On the card. Which is the one hundred thousand dollars that i was talking about. It's the wild applause stakes as mile. Four three year old fillies and this is a rather interesting group of horses. there's this race You know as both of us will say is kind of all over the place. And i think it's going to be a very fun. Betting race You know if you are betting belmont park this weekend. This there's probably going to be a lot of different options to go with. An i was tossing around a few horses In here chad scott. His pair christoph clermont has a pair of horses in here as well. All those horses looked like they have some promise and then built not Is in here with a called love struck who has not run since to tap in stakes but she was two for two as a two year old. So that's a good sign for her. I normally don't like to pick horses off of layoffs. That are that long. I'm not going to change my principal here. But i would say that going forward. She could be one. That is very interesting when when she gets more runs underneath her. But i am going to go to one of christoph clermont sources by. Who's coming out of a win in the soaring softly steaks on the fifteenth of june at belmont park. She's two for two. Her first career start was on the dirt. So i'm not really reading too much into that. She's undefeated streak. She's gotten on the grass and she's got a great steaks went underneath her. So that's a positive for me as well and she also beat invincible. Gal who is in this race in one of chad's horses in here so i'm going to go with with her in here and hopefully that hope that the chat entry takes a little bit more money but Bye-bye certainly going to be rather well veterans race. This raises a dartboard race for me. I mean i truly think every single or in has a chance. Even you know thirty to one longshot. Always late who had two bad runs in a row but those were against tougher in an ideal circumstances in one of those races on dirt. Pick choose pretty strong in her. Two wins and goal at gulfstream earlier this year. I'm not thinking her. But just just you know relating how of the field this is. I end to horse that. He's a bit of a price though on the morning. Line in the eight. Sussex garden a rance last august. Obviously a big concern but at the same time trainer delacour so so good with horses first off the plane from europe. That's where she's been before this on over there. She was excellent broker maiden against very stronger. A couple phillies for aid. No brian or behind her have gone on to do two things and then her second start was a group three at niece Almost a year ago to the july fourth actually so just a week or two off and she didn't four links with a winner that raced mother earth went onto win. That thousand guineas this year so have company last year was over very soft going. How a weird trip was on the wrong part. Attracting go well. But he has a lot of town array. You'll so wide open. Why not take shot with a with a horse. He's trained by somebody who's you know has has a retirement his element. He loves these scenarios a great turf writer joint peru and your solid she. Has you know two three or four works from near the she's been working consistently for about two two and a half months now on an tab doesn't even look that bad either so taking a shot here because i have a lot of faith in these connections in this is a.

At the Saturday card, from Belmont, Park, of course, some some big stakes events going on over there is the ten race card even though the big Saturday with the the Belmont Derby, the headlining event the. Favourite three to to just under three to actually goof oh. Kind of course. I've been Kinda high on most of the year. So was happy to see him. Know he come off second place finish last time out but didn't really draw I thought the toughest of fields. You know I thought there was some interesting price horses, South Bend. Had such a strange campaign obviously went the Derby last time but he kinda showed little improvement on turf. So I was excited to see what he could do in the spot. Let's take a listen back to just the last little bit of the. Belmont. Derby. From Saturday Belmont Park three quarters when in one fifteen into their midway around the far turn it is Mojo. Ready by ahead. No word draws right alongside in second and moon over Miami. Is Next in third goof Oh has drawn within three and a half lengths of the lead a journey to freedom on the outside. Then it is pixelated South Bend and Venezuelan Hug the field is in the stretch no word on the outside of Moretti and coming on now from third is a Goof oh, go out in the middle of the course as they come now for the Sixteenth Pole here comes goof on the outside of no word. GUPO take. Deep stretch and he's GonNa win the great one. Belmont Derby Gluco over no word and more ready. You know what's interesting about turf races from a visual standpoint is Gustavo. The last sixteen, zero mile like look like he was just completely blowing by no word and particularly Moretti, the early leader, and in reality you know he only was a length ahead of no word in another link a half or so ahead of of Moretti it's so interesting how optically two or three length win on turf race can be just a massive margin whereas you. Know. We're used to seeing dirt you know five or six length winds somewhat regularly throughout the race card, just such a different visual and and racing experience but Gluco very nice. Win Christoph Clermont. Junior Alvarado has been on fire IRA-. Iran obviously out covert lot of the other jocks out of town riding some of the big races and see every time I looked up. Over the weekend. But also beyond that, it seemed like I was seeing junior score a nice wins the Kelso handicap pretty. Sad edition this race complexity code of honor obviously the to headliners and they ended up not match racing. But for home, they were the two with a chance and complexity did end up getting the score over code of honor certainly a tactical advantage but he was on got to within a length of him and then you kind of started to lose ground I wonder what they're gonNa do with code honor because you know running the in a race like this kind of makes me think that the dirt miles and play for him as opposed to maybe the classic but I suppose we'll start certainly knowing more after this week kind of WHO's going where and in what races. Are, pointing to because Breeders Cup now what four and a half weeks away. The race prior to the Derby or I'm sorry. Prior to the Kelso, the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic a lot you know. I feel like I wonder if like when they get into the paddock channel makers like. Louis. Joy How you doing pal like we haven't seen you in three weeks. You ready ready to to run another twelve furlongs. Good me too like these I mean it just seems like we've been seeing the same cast of characters in these New York you know extended route turf races and I don't know that that's a bad thing, per se but it's definitely a division that could use a little new blood. I know rock emperors kind of become a part of that. He was actually sent off as you to favourite with channel maker coming off that huge win at. Saratoga. Last timeout sent off as your second choice at five two saddlers joy at night to cross-border of Coursey irregular in this group and he's kind of a newer a newer pledge to the the route fraternity in New York let's take a listen back to the Joe. Hirsch turf channel maker has been in front right from the start continues to lead here and the lead. Is a length and a half cross-border in second, and now masterpiece moves up on the inside masterpiece makes a move there rock emperors alongside, and now they begin to run around the far turn the mile winning one, thirty, eight and one channel maker trying to go the entire twelve furlong distance of the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic. It is channel maker in front on the outside is rock emperor across borders inbetween horses masterpiece down on the inside. Sadler's joy has made a run on. The extreme outside, then Cario and highland sky, and the field comes into this stretch with the maker. The one to catch Sadler's joy on the outside. It is channel maker Sadler's joy driving up on the outside masterpieces in third and then macario. It is still channel maker trying adored wire-to-wire at he's GonNa doe Ed Matinee Franko and grade one Joe Hirsch Turf. Classic. macario came on for second Sadler's joy was third and masterpiece finished fourth channel maker enjoying a nice little career resurrection here. In two, thousand and twenty. Of course I mean he's he's no spring chicken six years old now, and he's still got that hi running style. You know I almost wonder if it's just you know there's no more Zulu Alpha's running against him or who's at really good horse that. Won The Pegasus before Zulu Al, I can't remember. But I almost wonder if the divisions just depleted or if he's you know gotten that much better. I think it's more the division depletion but that's just my own personal belief but it is cool to see him. I mean, he you know he he generally it seemed like for a couple years there would pop up and run one or two big ones and and kind of be done but he's he's GonNa keep it on me the pilgrim stakes fire will kindergarten mike maker in wire-to-wire score thirteen one they just kind of bottomed out the field twenty, five to fifty and one. This was a Kendrick special as he nursed him asleep and then opened up at the top of the stretch and really never gave them a chance three to five favorite public sector for Chad. Brown was far far back and had to come wide and just couldn't I mean. In an easy to close into a horse WHO's finishing up. Twenty, what twenty, eight, and three or something for the last five, six tenths of a mile. It's tough task to leave a horse with in the gala bloom stakes Franks rocket who had to come from off the pace to to score in this one junior Alvarado for a not just a horse continues to race in really. Excellent form right now in you know whether on the lead or having to come from a little bit off Franks rock catches continues to be very, very good couple of steaks on the actually a trio of steaks on the Sunday card at Belmont Park including. was kind of excited to see this one The the best grill, a plum. All won the Miss Grillo Chock, and it was not all the exciting but a four horse field in the Bell Dame. HERALDIC. Coming from off the pace Lotrowska opens up, you know big big margin on the you know I think Kendrick again, trying to kind of steal this one, but little tougher to do my own eighth when you go forty. Two. But. Point of honor Dunbar road were both kind of in behind heraldic astrologist kind of got the jump. But Really Araujo was kind of opening up at the end it wasn't like. Junior had just gotten the jump and then was able to hold off a point of honor came on and up the rail and done by road really just kinda flattened out real disappointing effort I think for for Dunbar Road, you know out of that race in an obviously going forward possibly to a breeders cup type race, and then what you're whistle scored for Mike Trump. Better in the Belmont turf, I wanted to mention the spinster at Keelan on Sunday. valiants. Horse I called early in its career up at Monmouth, the just.

"Over life Around the game and as someone who his entire career was outspoken. About those trying to cheat and manipulate Graham Ocean of course who was just to the the UK parlance Brilliant and halting affecting and well received Has Tried to assuage his concerns that it wouldn't be received of course it was. Alan Foreman who has had to deal with the technical side The legal side of things around the game for decades and is invaluable Even if people don't agree or you want to hear portions of the areas that Alan can provide perspective and then anti sterling From a horse player standpoint specifically when Eddie was tremendous yesterday too and there's been so overwhelmingly positive response to what everybody offered yesterday and I responded to a lot of people's reaction on twitter and facebook who expressed their their appreciation. For what they they heard because and not because of What was said? I mean some cases but how it was sad and then that was the my response and for the most part was saying how appreciative we should all be of the people that work in the industry and display the kind of commitment and passion for it for the horses and for each other and I thought that was on display yesterday. Quite quite pointedly CA. Then there's people who No matter what is said and done Are going to seemingly want to point blame. And and how it's everybody's fault That everybody's culpable everybody's Guilty and I can't get obviously can't address everybody satisfactorily and I'm not gonNA try. Frankly if you can't see where this is a stepping up opportunity and again one of those moments where there's been a parade of them this year so far this year. Starting with Seth Clermont. There's been a lot of positive statements and positions taken that we can all rally around and coalesce essentially so the you know the recriminations and the you know the backbiting doesn't do it. That's not that's not helping anything. Sorry you know that part My my approach to life. Frankly is upbeat and forward looking. I'm not changing my approach on that front so plenty of other fallout and tangential elements out of Monday. And they'll continue to be obviously some legal expert types including Some anonymous quoting that Matt hegarty featured in his follow piece yesterday. regarding the terminology in the indictments that indicate in other. They'll be further you know. There's there's ongoing investigation. Meanwhile you know one of the elements that we addressed yesterday the owner positions and how that was going to shake out and those that had hard decisions to make and it'll hard realities essentially to deal with about being in the Barnes. Some made have made arrangements that that are in place already handful of of horses redistributed already in New York hasn't been everything is all the dust is settled on that Front but one of the one of the most notable things that happened yesterday that Rockingham ranches Gary Hart Tunisian announced that. He was moving the horses that he had with. Navarro to Brad Cox and then cocks responded No I'm not taking those horses and that he didn't feel comfortable so he's got two horses that had been in training with Rockingham but from Rockingham. But he's not taking the additional the ones that were coming out of the Navarro born Michael Dub distributing horses too. I think I must have seen six or seven different names including Brad Cox and Ralph Knicks. Christoph Clermont Chad Brown Bill Motte and others so that part of it We'll continue to evolve. There was also I guess somewhat related the C. H. R. B. and the report is so extensive that It just could not get through the whole thing overnight. A seventy seven page report regarding The horses from last winter at Santa Anita the died and he has some top line findings. And I'm sure we'll flesh this out Thoroughly with Jay Ribbon. We talked to. Jj wrote the piece for the daily racing form. We'll discuss it on Friday and some of the top line details. I mean we're the number of things that were you know certainly expected and and then there's things that will be. I won't even call them revelations but they'll be very valuable insights going forward and this is very similar to what this study provided In New York back in two thousand twelve.

"Joe yeah that that's a good point. You do see a lotta worst as like that. We're gonna talk about one a little later and maybe jay walk will see if you agree but we'll get to that. One later another allowance race <hes> from the past week at saratoga was on friday up the ante a one turf race going on violence sixteenth for christoph clermont. <hes> this is tehran pretty well as a three year old he was second raging bull in the saranac last year and hadn't quite gotten things off to a great start in two thousand nine hundred ninety lost it allowance race was no factor in the stakes behind some better orces than he was facing on friday and <hes> got the right pace set up this race. He was probably a lucky winner because because he was loaned speed he really had no excuse to lose this race based where the pace set up at multiplier was closing late to be second was really the only horse taking up a ton of grounded delayed and it almost like multiplier got his body in front at the wire but upped the ante has got that lucky bob to hold on for the victory day then to be honest multipliers choirs the reason i even put this race on our list today. He got a one eighteen to eat figure from us where up the any got a one sixteen and that was due in large part. I mean almost entirely too slow piece. I mean if you look in charge. You'll see the <hes> opening quarter. Mile figure for up to any was fifty three which is it's almost unheard of for horses good. It wound up with a final time of one thirteen so i mean they were really fly. Lee multiplier was way back. He was only a couple of months behind but when you get a worse like up the ante basically sprinting as fast as e impossibly run to the wire they're always going to be up the rundown and the fact that he he essentially dated like you said it was just a bad head. Bob pick out of eat is pretty impressive and <hes> you know. He looks like maybe he's ready for a return the stakes competition this was a strong allowance race. I mean the horse mustard murad. He had been competitive with some stakes in the past so i wouldn't be shocked. Multiplier could step back up. I mean he's not a great one agreed to kind of horse but there are plenty of opportunities for these lower levels <hes> steak sources on the turf where he could step up and do a tougher spot. I saw some people criticizing dramas azzaro for his ride on upped the ante almost getting that horse beep people are saying because he never took out the whip and just hand wrote him to the wire and i think that's just ridiculous if view watch up the antes prior races i wouldn't be shocked that he was writing to instructions because this is the worst that seems to respond best to a really strong handwriting. Some horses just don't respond to the whip and i feel like jockeys resort to the whip sometimes just as a show <hes>. It doesn't actually do that much with horses that are clearly giving their best. Not the anti was obviously sleep giving his best for drivers r._e._o. Under a hand ride so there was no reason to go to the whip and i i think sometimes people just get used to seeing the same thing over and over again aren't open to the idea idea that this was actually a great ride yang. You're not gonna get <unk> as we said or i said earlier. You're not gonna get a stronger riding. They're going to get from a good strong cambrai from joel rosario oreo <hes>. I'm a guy who i'd much rather see that than a guy go into the whip. Yeah give it you know if you need the show to moore you know give them a reminder of what they're out there air force fine but when they're headed to the wire i want that strong ham right all right one of my favorite horses. This summer at saratoga has been the to affiliate. We saw break her maiden on sunday saratoga <hes> mrs danvers who won the sixth race <hes>. She's just as beautiful white looking daughter of tap it. She's got this amazing pedigree. <hes> she's a out of a half sister to warfront so she's really bred to be a special horse add. She certainly handlers cell phone. Our first couple of stars like she might be something really good for shook mcgahey. She added the trip that everybody saw her debut back in july where she got left at the star star made this early move into content wide on the term was a little gray and finished third and she really put things together second time out. I mean delores r._e._o. Is like sitting on a case of dynamite throughout this race he coming to the top of the stretch. You almost wondered if he was getting her into trouble intentionally because she was in behind horses with just that she was really wanting to go and he was restraining her until about the three sixteenth paul when he swung her out and she finished as you would hope that she would. She's bread to stretch out. Ah this is one that i think you can rightly got a little bit excited about yes. She got a one oh one time formula speed figure for the effort and she's one once he steps into mistakes company. I would assume next time out and certainly going longer than six and a half. I wouldn't expect the one oh one. I expect a much better figure from her as i think they just watching the rates you can see wasn't asked to give everything she wasn't reading the whole time <hes> to she wasn't written to get speed figures was ridden a win win the race. Maybe learn something in the process and she looked really good. <hes> finite who ran second is no slouch at all. She's not going to be a maiden very long run into a couple of monsters. I finds out both times runner up and even third finish. Our abilene trail was a todd pletcher first time starter who quite a bit a bit of money at the windows. I was almost bed as much as i night was. I believe though another discus is one of those. We talked about a del mar. This is going to be a strong maiden race villis and particularly. Mrs van damme burks. I totally agree with that. I mean i got enough about the winner of this race. I said about the second and third place finishes. I mean we often see this zt. Steve ascot second time starters improve at saratoga and i think fine i did take steps toward she just ran into affiliate up might be pretty special and i agree abilene trail if you look at her pettigrew. She's really bred to run all day so i wouldn't be shocked. If we see all three of these in stakes company moving forward <hes> obviously mrs dan versus going to luganda. I would assume like like the present because that's where she belongs off. A performance like this we saw a bunch of really nice maiden performance from the two year olds across services this past past week and another one that sticks out is mystic lancelot <hes> on thursday he won one of those five and a half long term sprints <hes> todd pletcher is doing a little bit better with the two year olds this season <hes> than the prior two seasons where you just really disappointed but the horse that he sent out a bed disorders took money and really did run to the support <hes> any showed a ton of professionalism in this race because he got the lead a a wesley ward for sorta zoomed past going into the <unk>. John velazquez took him back a little bit ed. He went around that horse and re rallied and really finished up strongly. This seems like a a nice turf wars for todd pletcher kind of in the mold of a bulletin that we saw last year yeah yeah that's exactly the comparison i was gonna make a bullet then candidate it under the radar because iran a gulfstream and obviously not during the championship meet early in career as a two year old. It was kinda dorn summer when not as many people are paying attention the gulfstream as they do in february march but isn't a really good effort. He got a one oh five speed figure for the effort ran. I mean just one easy as could be like you said look look very mature doing so very professional and he's a horse. I would expect expect to <hes> to be very strong next out wherever he shows up. It's our guests with these two year old turf sprinters i have become as familiar with the schedule for them as some other divisions but i'm sure he'll be in a state story next time yet just to get a quick mention to the top pletcher horse that was supposedly the fastest torsan the barn that ran on saturday last weekend well. Maybe he still is but he didn't show it on saturday candy tycoon. It was just better off the board to win his debut view and <hes> things didn't go well. He broke slowly interest. Nothing went right and that didn't turn out to be a very fast race overall so we'll see if those horses do better in the future <hes> but <hes> <hes> but the the race that was expected to be the fastest just didn't turn out the begin that sometimes happens but the two year olds we'll move on to the last two manuals venues that will discuss asa mammoth and woodbine and you've mentioned it a little bit earlier that jaywalk ran in the monmouth oaks <hes> this past weekend choosing that single easier spot over the alabama alabama and didn't turn out to be that easy because there's a new jersey brought mob. That's gotten pretty good yet her allergist she's no slouch. She got a one sixteen for the win. A jay walk out of one seventeen for being part of a pace battle upfront with a fairly quick as not enough to get the red designation but you know i think at this point jaywalk <hes> i'm lean into the to the side that she just has to have a clearly to run her best itchy whenever to gets left alone up front. She runs fast. He runs big figures but when she gets any kinda fresher <unk>. She doesn't look like the same philly to me. She runs okay <hes> she ran okay here. I'm not going to say she ran bad. I mean a one seventeen is a is a nice number but he couldn't beat a horse corologis that won the five so she gawk like a need to lead the mate. The i'd agree with that. She can run those speakers when she gets everything her own way and i agree out when i watched this race i kind of expected. It was a much weaker race than the speed figure. Ultimately is saying that it is and and figure makes sense. I mean geraldo run fast in the past so it's not like this number. The one sixteen christina that she got to for winning this race was totally out of left field <hes> jaywalk progress by five points. It's not huge but i think what you were saying about her. Getting a little pressure upfront front <hes> it really does make a big difference for a horse like her and she's just not the same philly when she doesn't get that clearly this i think was a prep for the billion well see how she does their garage and other horse with speed <hes> that probably is going to challenge again on the front end so it's going to be tougher jay walk to win a race like that but she he does have the talent to to run. Those faster speed figures on things go away. It's just it's tough tobacco horse races that do feature other speed right. You just gotta if you think she's going to get challenged. I think at this point you gotta be against her will wrap up the podcast well before we wrap up <hes> will discuss. The woodbine raises from the past weekend. <hes> <hes> there were a couple of states races on saturday <hes> the breeder steaks and the catch a glimpse for the cheer rolls up the breeders on aren't the best canadian three roads is that we've seen <hes> credito broke who has now won the last two legs at the canadian triple crown after finishing third in the queen's plate of that's always a pretty cool feet it because the run on three different services now and you have got to show a ton of versatility to do well in all three legs of that sequence <hes> but <hes> tone broke. I'd i just kind of won this race by default. I think he won this race because some others that we're headed him coming to the eighth gold didn't get the distance yeah. I was wondering if i i should if we should actually even bring this race up so we'll just hid it real quick. It was a slow race. Winner got a one oh four i just like did he want two thirds of the triple crown one on in dirt one on turf. I think the main thing here is eat. Sources are just not my on af air forces. I think there is solid enough grew but if they get back the you know mylan in eighth and running on synthetic or or they won't run on earth but running on this synthetic and would be fine..

"He's a what he's at three other than and bills been wanting to wanting to running and. Just couldn't find a spot. I feel actually starting here might scratch my to help fill the field a little bit. But you know, the fact that he's run on turf against such a season pro heart to heart think tough side. The other horse that that could provide at least, you know, some pace intrigue is white flag the stretch out candidate for Christoph Clermont. And he's got the speed inside heart to heart beat him to the turn. And I got to expect that that white flag will be prominent here early. I also, you know, if you're looking for upset candidates. What's wrong with Dr mouthy? Well, both white flag and Beechy to his insider, both are basically turf sprint sprinters. Yeah. So they both get. But I I don't think that's going to be a problem for. I mean, part the hardest shown before that. He can you know, when he ran that big ration- shoemaker last may at at Santa Anita. He he read it off the pace pretty nicely. So you know, who's gonna close though, I mean, if they all three go they go for. In forty five. Well, there you go or Dr mountain baby. Yeah. So yeah, it's not really it's not that hit a rate. Great Honey on. Let's. Turn our attention. The maybe the Lynch's horse lasson Yara, the French bread in the Marsha was river. You got Bella vase now been with the Todd Pletcher for a couple of starts. Not a bad group for the Marsha was river. More competitive like the other races that that looks like enforced. It's gonna pay two eighty or three dollars. You're gonna win it. But you know, it's not that big of a field either. This this race. I thought that I j stone who makes the line here. Dalstrom what you do this, right? Because they all pretty even there about. Maybe six out of the eight or real logical at here. I'm Betty, jeez. Going to have to get back on form. But you got a horse like the Kelly Breen trained valedictorian the jersey. Grad who buyers and his recent form really match up with the others Tyler gap Leon's on. And I think he writes anybody round here. So if she can write off the pace, I think valedictorian has a good shot. Bella bays is gonna around into form for Pletcher. And you know, I think those are the two in there. Let's also touch on the. The maiden races. There's three maiden specials tomorrow. The first of them being Phillies going six on the dirt group ten. Rusty Arnold, sending out I think the two one. Now, there's two nine to five or Pletcher lavish and high road is two to one for rusty. You look at the Phillies going long on the grass going the the one turn mile beautiful lover is a half sister of Zibo and Chad Brown sends out beautiful lover. And then go take a look at that tenth race mart. This is six furlongs for the boys, and Gary Mary west of got their home bred by tap it with Jason service making first time start, brainstorm, certainly nicely bread. And Chad has got the union rags for Bill Lawrence. No rules out of L is on the Jerry an moss stake winner. So you got you got some pedigrees. I thought the three main races were a little murky though. There wasn't a whole lot to grab a hold. Dove. Now, there are a couple of courses in that tenth race. You're talking about which of course, is going to be a key race as a as a link between the two steaks and all the end of the card multi, by the way, we started eleven forty five eastern here tomorrow 'cause the need all the day light. We can get for for twenty dollars. We're horses in there who ran big first time out, including the Cam, go the one horse in there for an borrow it continues to win, you know, he's actually leading the standings there, Steve. So it's what Todd is one fourteen or fifteen in a row as leading trainer here. But it's it's you know, that's jeopardy right now, but the horse for Efren Loza geoscience number six also ran a big big race over the old Calder last time out of favorite. So that that's a very interesting race race ten here tomorrow. Well, and of course, coming off last week, we had we talked about those those steaks, and it was me hosts for Jimmy jerkins and centennial..

"Golden brown has as good a chance anyone to win a race like this maybe i'm over vast overrating him but sometimes i think sometimes you have to stop over thinking in looking at it from well you know he's faced in x y and z and that was a jersey bred race look at it for what it is i straight is a graded stakes winner on turf he's an older horse a solid roy he may not be a superstar visa solid divorce that was his first time going to turns first time turf he has the highest last out buyer in the field highest last out raw time formula's rating the now that the eight is gonna blame the rider there's a scenario golden brown just inherit the lead i i think he's just interesting to me and i think he makes a lot of sense when you just if you took all the names and you took all that stuff away and you just looked at it from a form standpoint and what they've done and the you make a case for golden brown having big chance here so for me he is the pick in this i'm gonna i'm looking forward to betting him to win we'll find out if he gets the job done if he doesn't i just there's a part of me i understand untamed domains the most likely winner of this race at short price just i wanna be against them altogether if i'm gonna use anyone else i'm gonna use the one carrick carrick is a good horse for tom morley morley's done some good things with these types over the past year so to me it's a six one sort of situation if i'm playing multirace wagers i'm going to use both of them probably equally then back it up with untamed domain and also hot springs but to me i'm very interested in golden brown maybe i'm vastly overrating him and i'm thinking too highly of them but i don't know i just feel like i've broken down pretty basically and we'll find out if if i'm right or not on saturday afternoon but to me it's an interesting spot for a horse like golden brown he's going to be a good number i like him in the kent delaware on saturday the main event at belmont saturday might might not be agree rated stakes race but the quality of the field top to bottom is graded stakes caliber here it is only seven that are going to go in the forbid napa this year and really it's a fascinating race because you've got horses that excel at shorter distances that are trying to stretch out to a mile you've got horses that are proven at a mile you've got horses that might want more distance than a mile you've got horses shipping in from out of town at a country even it's an interesting sort of position here i think he can go different ways this race though begins with defending champion you have to look at disco partner who most recently all he did was earned one five buyer winning the jaipur again he's an unbelievable sprint for christoph clermont the question going into last year's forbid napa was what he successfully be able to stretch out.

"Their own on iran just nothing spectacular the likes of you know in motown unfortunately retired i think he's orson i think it's really for me in more than the when the stage is the reports with c is opposed to a to where no where they are off reform stamp yeah that's exactly the way i look at the rise to i like the fact for fire away anyway that it does feel like he's you know one of those typical sean horses getting better with racing and i just like that you know he's at a position here was probably gonna be fourth choice in this race against some horses with some real question marks the only thing i think the alike about fire away as i know he's kind of ecuador tours he doesn't milo cut in the ground either this source not gonna help the source on saturday like you guys on kind of against world approval in this race but i'm going to try to beat him with a horse that i think is a bit upwardly mobile and that's the number four frost worn another horse that doesn't mind a little bit of cut in the ground this is a horse we're going to go back to seasonal debut at gulfstream and i thought this was a nice starting off point wasn't a lot of pace in this race he did get a great trip but i like the way he finished the race off and after this race christoph clermont shipton to keeneland for the makers forty six mile race in which heart to heart just wired and frost more turned into the stretch with a look at it actually poked his head into second in about the eighth pole before flattening out i wonder if he's slowly starting to get back to his best form this will be his third race of the cycle i like his tactical speed like matt and mike against ruled approve short price and i think frost mourn might have most upside he is nine to two on the morning line justify of courses the big story all weekend long wayne lukas though he knows what it's like to win the preakness he's got to going in against justify and he talked to the media earlier this week about his chances.

"To fire a believe as of this stating his three for five down as a whole in south florida a gulfstream park so i think this horse coming into in good order you get havi or havi years familiar doors can be forward he can sit just off you can come from well out of it if the pace heats up upfront 20dollar win wager on beasley as well as a five dollars exact that that if you've been paying attention to some of these plays for me recently you'll see that this who now one of my favorite things to do take the horse that i like bit the horse to win and also vacuum up came in second and use some of the more logical horse is on top not too many of them one two maybe three utmost if there's a price that are really really like but in a situation like this i think three horses reorts is to be the eighth nine intent the is tommy macho the nines game over and the ten is beasley so all play the 20dollar when wager on beasley but also play a fivedollar exact the using the eight and nine on top the eight tommy module the nine game over with the ten beasley underneath for five dollars just in case he runs well but not well enough and one of the logical alternative alternatives anyway ends up uh getting the better of him so twenty to win on beasley fivedollar exact eight nine with ten let's move on to the last race that we will cover here on the map rainier show this friday afternoon the south beach this might be the one i'm most excited about anyway for saturday at gulfstream park let's take a look at that field you've got big names in here this race goes through christoph clermont there is no question about it the number one is west it six to one the number two i'm betty jane 16 to 1 the number three conquest hard candy thirty two to one number four miss holly.
