Don't You Want Somebody to Take Care of You?
"Okay so you just got a couple of questions. We're going to get into that okay. Yeah totally i'm nora. Mcnerney in this is terrible. Thanks for asking. And that was gina and when we get into it. We're going to be continuing the conversation that we've been having about care with gina story is a story about a lot of complicated emotions about the long tail effects of being thrust into a caregiver role when you're still a person who needs a lot of care a child but this complicated story starts in a really simple place when genus parents met and fell in love They were summer fling. Was like maybe nineteen sixty nine thousand. Nine hundred seventy vietnam war was going on. I think there was like a lot of looking for a better life. Like you know like wanting something good and they dated over that summer and then they were married by like the day after christmas that same year. So my sense is that they were kind of idealists like they were looking for some sort of happily ever after and for awhile. Genus parents found it. My mom was a homemaker and my dad was kind of a rising star in the computer science world. he was an academic. He was teaching at georgia tech in atlanta. Which is where. I grew up and so early. Memories are that you know my mom cooked and was crafty and volunteered with the pta. My mom really loved to so she loved to bake. She's a beautiful woman and my dad was very intellectual. Like i remember him reading like not totally age appropriate books to read allison wonderland to me at an age when i didn't fully understand what's going on there so much in that book didn't understand but i loved the fact that he would read that to me and he would sit down and explain to me. How telephones work and he liked teaching me about prime numbers and stuff like that at a very young age i think he just really enjoyed sharing that aspect of himself with me. He liked kind of dissecting things and thinking about things and asking questions. And that's something that. I've carried with me into adulthood. He kind of taught me how to dig deep and think about stuff that you might not otherwise. Think about gina was the second of three children. Her older brother is named allan just like a sweet sweet kid like he loved playing with matchbox cars and he would line them up. We would watch movies a lot together like he loved watching lassie and old yeller and stuff like that. If it involves a kid in a dog he could watch a movie. Five times in a row of my mom lead up every single time. He said he would laugh at every part like it was the first time you ever heard it or ever saw it and same with music. You know at some point in our childhood somebody gave them like one of those yellow sony walkman and a bunch of tapes and he would walk around the house with like headphones on and plane his tapes and singing and his very loud very slurred speech. That was like the happiest. Alan loved country music bing crosby. He loved christmas music all year round. It was just gina in allen until their little brother andrew was born. Andrew came along and i felt like almost like he was my baby from the beginning and like i think i recognized from a young age that he was like my ally and my playmates. He was you know a playmate that i interacted with. He was very imaginative. And we do the things that kids do where you like lineup. All your stuffed animals and teach them school or we would do these toy. Parades down the hallway and like throughout the whole house. Where readers just like lineup. Every single toy we own and then just like march like it was a production. The genus relationships with andrew and with allen were different because allen andrew with different. I was aware from a very very young age that i do things at allen. Couldn't i was three years younger than him. He and i kind of learned how to walk around the same time he could talk but his speech was really slurred. And so i knew from a very young age that like a lot of people didn't understand what he was saying. But i did like i kind of interpreted for him a lot especially in public so i think there was an awareness on that level lake. He's older than me. But i think i always felt older than him like. I knew that he had a lot of medical stuff. That was very mysterious. He had some seizures and would have to be rushed to the hospital so i i was very aware that like he needed a lot and there was something wrong.

Reindeer yeah i know and i'm a fan of the beach boys i just. I don't like that's on. I never i like christmas. He gave a justifiable reason. Why i'm not. I'm not used to being the the one that has like emotions about things in cares about something positive one. What the hell. I'm not used to that. They're trying to defend myself. The whole show. "Yeah it's the pseudo kind of hip hop kinda rhymes at he's trying to do with the music and just the whole kind of smarmy nece and i just wanted to punch me in the face. That's all. I wish that song had a face. So i could punch it. It does. and it's the lead singer of train that if he were standing right here. I'd punchy. But i don't wanna get up it. Just it's it's not. It's not good. No it's not was a mess and they've got multiple. Because i didn't know the name of it i. I decided there was like a dirty diaper of song. I heard it on the spot. If i list and i had to go digging for because i was like what was that song and i didn't catch it when we had skipped an and they've got multiple christmas song. So if you want the train. Christmas album and it exists. It's like if if corn fucked maroon five there okay. So i'm looking at the lyrics once upon a time in a town like this little girl made a great big wish to fill the world with happiness and beyond santa's magic list and then they and the next one that rhyme happiness with itself four-times man only little wayne get away with that am sounds am does it then..

"Santa comes on at number ten just after. Have yourself a merry little christmas music. And you're like oh that's so much heavier this may need right and then as we say this like how it might not be so bad if it was the fifteenth track like ends the album instead of being in the middle there. I seriously because honestly it's paired between have yourself a merry a little christmas and silver bells which are two really mellow christmas tunes and then you don't want this needs an accordion. Let's jimmy rig that sucker right in there. We need a little zydeco polka flare. Exactly you know what this world needs more christmas. And i mean that's just not right after o come all ye faithful motto. Throw your eggnog. All over the frigate and place Yeah i don't hate it. I thought it was fun. Yeah same here by nat. I'm with you mike. It sucked paul mccartney thing again. it's like bob. What are you doing what we care. He's done it all. He's he's bob dylan and you're not fun. You know i know right over i. Let's let's hear the greatest. The greatest speaking of snuck greatest christmas song ever written and performed. Let's hear it.

Hey you wanna fight all but as you know we will fight about anything. No we won't. Yeah we will. We will fight about anything. I agree with mike on that. You're wrong to say fuck you. Joe agrees with me. And that's how you know you're wrong to say sir. Now we're going to do the the best and the worst of the now and dublin back to the intros. It is my first for the best of the now music which is a band we are all familiar with. It is a style style. Roy stand for us vic. I love one direction. Oh two reasons. I love that song one. It reminds me of college listening to barrick. Ladies to virga great harmonies. They do a wonderful take on. God rescue mary. Gentlemen we three kings. Eventually sarah mclaughlin steps in on the week. Three three kings portion of it. What i love about it is that they put their spin on it. But sing the verses. There's no twist there is no. These are the lyrics. Caesar the these are the verses. Were sing in it and we're doing it in our style and jaunty way. Yeah i gotta say mike this winter you took it so i didn't have to cool. I feel good about this. Josh liked it. And then i took my song so he didn't have to okay. No this is on the The album bare naked for the holidays..

"But my six sensibilities kind of kicked in the other one that i wanted to mention that i was hoping somebody would pick but i another one that i love is christmas in hollis That was actually a contender for best or worst for my best okay. It's one of the reasons. I didn't go that route but i wanted to mention it or put it as a side note because i kind of wondered if it might crossover enough to make your list. But that's just that was almost. That was a close second place actually. Does anybody else have any other honorable. Mentions but well like for instance. I will say blue. Christmas by elvis elvis's one of my favorites as well. Yeah yeah that's a great one. Actually i like a lot well and you can't discount andy williams most wonderful time of the year. I'm not andy williams fan but that's just like a big christmas on just like yes again. The andy williams. Christmas i think is one of those has to be on on the list and be charlie brown christmas album also. Oh yeah the instrumental. Yeah another one. That was a consideration was on malaysia. I said this is the first time i've ever heard it hilarious child abuse song. There's no there's no child abuse in the song it's all momma gets sad sin ships. There's daddy passes out onto the christmas tree. I guess you're right. Because john denver wouldn't right that kind of comedy song he would write. Grandma got run over by a reindeer companies. On and i would i would say it's not physical abuse but you could make a case for child abuse there. Oh yeah yeah. That's fair right. Come out not yeah. i'm with you. I'm good literally the i've ever heard. I didn't listen to all the lyrics. now. I mean the second i goes. Mama smiled and looks outside the window. She told me son. You better get upstairs then. You laughed and hollered. merry christmas. I turned around and saw my mama's tears that is so bad that is drown for christmas. I mean honestly. It sounds like his dad's kind of a riot. I mean that sounds kinda jolly but yeah. That's a terrible christmas song. That is a terrible christmas sock. Yeah i can't argue with that. Speaking of terrible christmas songs is going to o shots fired. Bite your tongue. I cheated because this one was in contention from one of my worst. Another son three fun. Missile seen john. Doc i don't want to cast aspersions or anything. But if you don't like the song you might either be a communist or a dog kicker and if you like the song basic as fuck i'm basic motherfucker. I love this. This is like. I can't help but dance tap along to it. It's if i was dancing. This is a this is a fun like christmas sweater. Drink in the eggnog song. Exactly this is not like..

Ben Rector Gets in the Christmas (and Thanksgiving) Spirit
"Your christmas album of ben. Rector christmas is so brilliant so much. I'm glad you like it really like it. We were listening to it this morning. The office i've been listening to it. While i'm baking at my house through an thanksgiving song that hit like i mean people went nuts for that thing. I was actually really surprised. So i was gonna my manager. Greg was like hey like you should really try to write some original christmas songs and i was like well. I think what people don't understand about christmas music is it's they're used to the song so you don't really remember how good they are. It's really like the greatest hits of the last hundred years of music truly. You'd like i just write another christmas song. It's like the last three songs that were added to the holiday music. Canon gary and then wham and paul mccartney and paul mccartney went on like honestly like various weirdly similar since christmas and so i was just like been a million people. Try to write christmas songs. And even once some that are pretty good and it's just like i it's just tough to exist in that world because the classes are so good and i was like maybe right thanksgiving song so it came out like better than i thought it would and i thought it would just be like. Oh people will maybe like this song. That's great and then as it kinda started to happen like radio. A lot of radio stations played it and like it was like kind of rolling. And i was like what if this could actually become like the thanksgiving song i people reacted to it. More strongly than i thought they would. I thought it'd be a song and everybody was like this song. I was like that's awesome right. I mean apple picked it when it apple that made it. They're like song of the day is amazon amazon. I mean that is no joke. Then it was it was. It was a on the radio. Top ten song crazy. What a so what happens now is not you. Will you sing that when you are on the road next year i thought about that i was like i think in the month of november. I probably could really we did like how after thanksgiving because it went well enough that i think all of us were like wait. This could actually like if we pushed it for a couple more years. It's possible that it would happen every year because a lot of radio people were like we had to make this tradition. And i was like from your lips to god's ears like mass idea. You've had what i'd new can. I'm like a body going to be on my pinky but yes we had a caller just like what could we do to try to make this happen again next year. So i would imagine that. I will play it if i do shows november. That's a good month to do it. But i don't know if i could do it before then but i would love it if it became something any honestly outside of radio or whatever it just became something that people wanted to listen to around thanksgiving that would make. That'd be happy enough with that. I just i had door. It's so this is against unfunny. It's such a kind song. Thank you so much just feels very like friendly and understanding. I wanted it to feel like a like a warm hug. Yes did that. That's why you accomplish. That was the goal. That ain't how it feels. And i i will be interested i. I wonder if it's if it's the ted lasso of music in that you love that people get your face you gasped. Here's the thing in two thousand twenty. Ted lasso is the medicine we needed island. Think that will stay true and twenty twenty one and i think that's true of your song. I'm a big believer. That i think like sincerity is gonna come back because i feel like so much of pop culture in the last little while has kind of been like ironic and like not as much just like heart on your sleeve sincere and i kinda think that especially also with there being not just in two thousand twenty but in general a little bit less like human connection and a lot more like connection online or like digitally in whatever way i kind of think sincerity is gonna feel wonderful for a while. I think that's going to be like the new cool thing. Maybe because it just like so much stuff is a little bit cool and like irony. And whatever and i think that that stuff can be great. I think that some of the stuff that started to connect ted lasso other stuff like that. I think people kind of like yearning for like. Oh yeah just like good stuff connection. How did you decide. What christmas songs on this with. All those options. Yeah i honestly. Half of making the christmas record was just because it sounded fun to like to arrange and seeing some of those songs so a lot of it was just like i was like these songs on the most fun to do and i think the idea is that like my hope with the album is it will over the next however many years add to it at different places and have like other volumes of it. Oh yes so. I think instead of being like i'm gonna wait for years and make another christmas record like literally next year. We might just like do three more songs and do another like a different edition of the vinyl or something. Let so some of it was knowing that i was like. This isn't the only christmas record ever gonna make so there's no pressure but a lot of it honestly was just like these songs. Sound the most saying what a great thing about how music is created industry and twenty twenty. Plus is that you can go. Let's add three more to that. And it just upload to spotify or upload apple or yeah right. Yeah that's brilliant so it can be a thing that continues to grow with under the same umbrella of ben rector christmas. I think we're kind of honestly looking at it like it's like a air quotes brand where it's like you know not. I'm not gonna do it every year but like maybe every other year just kind of being like hey like we're going to do another run of the vinyl in another edition on spotify. That essentially will be apple music and amazon all stuff. That'll be kind of like another edition of this record. Do you want to write more thanksgiving songs or do you feel like that's the one i don't know if i could beat that one. I would love honestly to right. We joked about like oh. "christmas music" Discussed on GSMC Music Podcast
"Yeah let us know if you like his dad jokes. They're so bad anyway. And if in the grand scheme of christmas music. I would this record as perfect. It's it's like one of the things. I would ever give a ten out of ten two. It's phil spector's a christmas gift for you It was released. On the same day that president john f kennedy was assassinated. Which is an interesting facts. That i actually wasn't aware of and that's why didn't do as well at that time. And they widely blamed for that decline in sales and everything because of the assassination which makes sense. It's not chart. Everyone's very not in the mood to listen to that type of music. When the time there was not a global market for that kind of thing So that's why they blame the john f. kennedy assassination for their poor chart performance in the us but later on i read i. Think in nineteen seventy two His album skyrocketed in that time. So it's just an that's really all with music. It's all about your timing it really is it really is yeah so this record is kind of like a collaboration effort really. It's all of. There's a lot of the classic. Like i think it's called motown. Yeah group on classic motown groups. That phil spector had worked with previously in collaborated with previously. They can kind of brought a bunch of them together to do these collection of christmas songs ranging from like white christmas. I saw mommy kissing santa claus to like silent knight. And i mean like every single one of the songs on this record is a impeccable to me like i really don't like it now again. This is my personal opinion. I like the modern sound better like these songs. Again they were released in the sixties so it just has the older tune into it so in their classic saw a white christmas. It has all like how you said. Are you mentioned earlier. If it weren't for these songs we wouldn't have the monitor songs or the modern twists to christmas carols. Today you know like for mariah. Carey's all i want for christmas. Is you a lot of it samples these tracks so i wanna i wanna mention that since we're on the subject so you mentioned specifically in your show the concept of the wall of sound. Yeah know what that means so. I'm a go based off. Google so when i looked at the wall of sound is because i honestly had no idea what a man. It's my understanding was that it was a. It's a music production slash like technical recording technique or like rock and pop music. But you're the music majors. I wanna get your opinion. Because i was my standing phil spector. He's he was. He is widely known for the wall of sound to kind of dive. A little deeper into what that really is it's like his classic fingerprint for all of his music and the way that he kind of achieved it and why it was so different. Was that like the recording like techniques that they used at the time everything was single tracked and so because we didn't have a digital so we have like a dot to work digitally where you can have multiple inputs into a computer and it will capture all of that. Sound the same time it used to be that you had to like literally cut bits and pieces of tape. Glue them together. Yeah kind of cassette tapes. It's not the same exact material. But i think that like what would happen. Is you would microphone. Would record the sound onto a piece of ribbon right. And not like decorative ribbon like kind of like film type of material and then you would take like acetone or another material you may even just been tape and you would literally tape the different things together and like the way that you would Make sure everything was in tampa. Was you watch the the spikes in the inputs and things like that and you'd move it around and adjust it and then you would play that whole thing through a different machine. There would interpret all of those. Like sound wave markings on the tape into one track. So if you messed up like any part of the tape at any point it's not like you could just go back like slice in a new piece of tape to do the whole thing over again. So what phil spector did was he said. I want everything to play at the same time. And i'm just gonna mike the room which was not what people did because you would have to a like. Imagine trying to sing in front of a huge band without a microphone or with a microphone that also picks up the damned so like he had this really good recording technique where he could basically just get like everything in the room at the same time and like the classic way to tell that. It's a phil. Spector is if listen anytime there's piano. i'm ninety percent. Sure that he almost never has the piano player. Take their foot off the sustain pedal because when he's recording the piano like have you ever played a piano now. Okay so when you go sit down play piano or you have a right. So the far-right pedals called the sustain pedal. And what that does is it. When you push down on it removes the felt from the strings that are in the body of the piano that felt chokes the string and so like if you hit a piano can you hold it down. It will continue to vibrate at the same rate. But if you just strike the key and remove your finger immediately than the Sound will stop because there's a felt at the end of all of the Wires that run through the body of the piano and when you hit the hammer the hammer strikes past the felt and the length of that wire is what determines the note. That's being played. So when you remove the your finger from the key the hammer gets removed and the point of vibration shifts back to the felt and the felt absorbs the vibration but when you're playing with the sustain pedal the entire time that means that the vibrations are continuing at a natural rate of decay. And like if you ever get the chance to sit in front of a piano when you play like the low note on the piano and you keep the foot pedal downing and take your finger off the key like that sound will stick around for a long time because it's this big thick wire at incredibly high tension that is being struck by a mallet in order to create a sound. So when you have all these different frequencies and everything in the room. Interacting with each other and the sustain pedal and the piano down it will literally echo the frequencies in the piano and caused the piano strings to vibrate which creates like this weird. I wouldn't call it dissonance necessarily because it's all of the notes kind of vibrating at the same time but it creates weird effect of space. Because it feels like there's so much more like it feels like you're in this huge cavern when really. You're just. He's just in this tiny little studio room. And he's not using an effect like reverb to achieve that he's using the natural acoustic qualities of the instruments in the microphones. And because he did all the instruments all vocals everything at the same time like that recording technique was not only incredibly difficult to actually pull off but it creates this really unique sound. does that make sense I try to follow that. Like i'm in a very that was overly complicated. China follow you. I was like following the first minute. And i feel i'm like music class. I mean i'm trying to learn. Like i was just like i couldn't follow because i have like zero musical piano. I just know like dance dance. So and i love to dance so i'm very. That's how i'm in tune with music. I feel like you're in tune with music and a different way than i am tune as upon i am but i think makes this show interesting because you and i kind of pick up on different things than what i find. What makes a hit record or like a hit. Track is through body. Till i'm i'm connected with music through body because i used to dance and you're i feel you're more connected because of your musical background. You studied it. And you play instruments again the furthest i ever did was a what the recorder in fourth grade. Don't they make everyone. But no that's really interesting. Because i was trying to read up on what the wall of sound really is i feel like i every definition on and everything i was looking up. I couldn't really quite get it yet. It takes a lot of explanation. And you have to kind of understand the mechanics of what's happening. Within the instruments. In the microphones. Went on that whole diatribe. We talked about mariah carey earlier. That classic song all i want for christmas. That piano part is pretty much directly ripped from something. That phil spector. Would've put on his record. It's fast it's progressive ve and its up tempo uptempo through the whole song and like it makes it feel like the song is happening in this huge like concert hall right. Yeah the only one who thinks that now because you know i was saying no because you agree with me like without this record. Almost every other pop. Christmas record that we've had wouldn't exist the only thing that like even rivals the influence are the commercial more commercially successful records of like ben. Crosby or the other crooners. Who did so you went adjusts. Are you suggesting that phil spector's album. Are that the inventors of christmas songs. No no i would say especially considering like the crooner's came before this right and they're the ones that establish that there was a market for this and that's why we even have this record and like you mentioned this record. Didn't do well at first. It's still kind of like the. It's still like the sleeper. The sleeper pick because it really honestly. It's a christmas record for musicians. It's not a christmas for popular consumption. Like there's just a lot to it that like the regular person isn't looking for in their listening experience but like you're the kind of person who was studied music history or who has studied. Then you can appreciate it more than it's got so much to appreciate but on a lighter note. Did you have any songs that you did like off of it. I like christmas. I already like that song. I mean it's classic so no. I enjoyed white. Christmas darlene love. She's and they also the ron. It's on there right. They had one just to clarify phil spector. he's just a producer right like he isn't actually on any of the tracks. Yes darling love is on like two or three the run answer on two or three. We've got bob. Be sox is probably supposed to be pronounced bobby socks and the blue jeans on a couple and i think the last track has all three of them and then the crystals are on there a couple of times too and these are like do op groups or motown groups so like you've probably heard some of these names before yeah yeah. They're definitely get. The version of frosty. The snowman on here is my favorite frosty. The snowman and i saw mommy kissing. Santa claus is my favorite truck on the record. It's got it's got this classic fifties twang feel to it in the the voice. So that's just got this thing going on but like so it's got this like borderline sour. Feel to really love it so okay. I know you mentioned that you would you rate this. Ten outta ten impeccable suggest this to someone who's not a music major can appreciate like the mechanics of the actual like project as a whole. Because i know you said that. Like for me. I didn't find it too attractive because i'm more like i. I listened to the popular ear right. What's popular so. Would you justice to someone who's like maybe not into music the same way. No so i would not suggest the record as a whole to most people. I would like if i could go back and just recommend bits and pieces to you. I would because. I think that if you have to listen to the whole thing and you're not like super into the production aspect of it or anything else then i just don't think that you're gonna love it as much as someone who is right but like if i were to have sent you like oh you should check out this version of frosty the snowman. You should check out. This version of santa claus is coming to town and this version of santa claus. They're really good. Then like papa. Those on your christmas playlist a couple songs is really enjoyable to have to listen to the whole record all the way through like a little challenging say. I couldn't handle listening to the whole house like thirteen fourteen songs along the way you feel like like how you to like kind of like. Here's a track like one or two listen to so overall. Yeah i wouldn't recommend you. And i i don't even want to give it a rating because i'm just like it would upset me right. I i've said. I think something is impeccable. Now and like. I said i would never say that and here. We are not even worth later. This is pretty much impeccable. As far as christmas music is concerned. So of course i would understand. You don't want her feelings. We can agree to disagree. It's fine we both like arianna grandes. Go love her christmas and chill album. Yeah and i think we can end right here on. We talked about a lot of jolly topics. Today we were we discussed all. I want for christmas. is you by mariah carey. Arianna grandes ep and phil spector's albums so we covered a lot today and again. "Were looking at if you look at the christmas twenty spotify playlist. It's it's just there's nothing different so it's not just songs from twenty twenty. No it's all. I want for christmas. Is you last christmas. Santa tell me the thing is is funny is. It's not even like updated versions. It's obviously just the mariah carey version the wham version of last christmas. Why is christmas. Twenty twenty any different than christmas. Twenty nine hundred. Christmas is on eternal. hell scape. Christmas is a flat circle on the way over here. As a some sort of cosmic alignment i saw billboard for new carrie underwood christmas song. But if christmas is you know and semi cancelled are canceled this year and people certainly aren't going to the malls like they would be normally enlisting these shady songs. People aren't really you know getting together as much this year. How much of the bottom line is going to get crushed this year. How many artists rely on that. Christmas bump in streams to pay for their next rolls royce. Or some shit. They're going to be really bombed this year. I feel like the royalty checks. This year are gonna be really really shitty. One of the conspiracies was is that cova was wave. Who somehow manipulate people into not celebrating christmas anymore. Fuck yeah this is great. This sounds fantastic. The everyone was like. Oh i totally agree. You're going to try and destroy christmas. And i'm like re tweeting. It like. yeah absolutely sounds fantastic. Cova destroyed christmas forever. Okay sounds good. It would be cool if we didn't have every indication that the exact opposite is what's going to happen. Covert is just gonna make christmas even worse so to our forth christmas spectacular which is approximately the third anniversary of this podcast. Because one of our first batch episodes was our first christmas. Music sucks episode. This is the fourth one of those. We're taking this shit seriously. If you're listening audio only check out our youtube channel because we're making this one video this year as you can see markinor drinking eggnog. It is disgusting. it's gross. it's a yeah it's gross. It's not good. I was trying. I was i was really gonna dig deep and try to gross last year. We drink champagne. It was fucking baller by l. Did we not vote sham because of the burping. Oh yeah yeah. I did drink champagne on election night. Good time drink champagne this however if i never drank again i i'd be okay with it. This is going to be the last time i drink. Eggnog think this is. This is the kind of thing if you drank too much. And you got sick from it. Never touch it ever again..

"It only ran for three seasons as a comic book. Oh well yes shit way I. The parody starts in nineteen sixty you said in the sixties yeah by the mid sixties. There's a parody of jingle bells. Everyone I know saying when they were a kid every one it was like a mean before memes. I wonder if you'll sing it. I know you taught your kids. You said right. Yeah Well Yeah. He already sings it now. I'm kind of proud of that. Fact and Robin laid an egg. Is that a reference back to all the birds and twelve days of Christmas Jude. The first Batman came out in the forties yikes twenty years to come up with a Batman Jingle Bells version. Maybe that's why it's so good and it sticks in everyone's minds because they took so long that though a meme spread like that before memes before the Internet go that far it's spread itself across the entire country. Well there's also a difference between the first Batman Comic landed Mike that time. Yeah and Went Batman got famous. That could have been a little bit closer. Which was the sixties when they started the show? I wish taken the time to look at all the different variations of jingle bells jingle bells shotgun shells rabbits all the way that so many that's rednecks. It sounds like yeah. This one is way racist within. What does it says? Don't tell me it's so funny that there's so many variations of it. I would imagine that everything you can think of has happened. This is like a rule forty-three situation. Oh definitely think. There's a version of jingle bells about somebody is made it exists. So that's about all I got for this year. Hopefully there is a way to recycle jingle bells and I hope many of you plan on recycling yours after listening to this. If you've listened this far into the episode. I think it's safe to assume you probably also hate Christmas so go ahead and share this everywhere because there are people. You're afraid to bring this up to. You can make us the bad guy. That's the thing that's great about this show in post it and you can even say you can disavow. Oh Yeah. I can't believe they would say all this stuff guarantee you know someone who you didn't realize was a big enough asshole to get in your comments and let you know that they think this is not only funny but correct. Then you'll know you have a secret ally out there. Since you've laid this false flag operation you can act as a spy and you can convert people low key. Once you've got support you think about it. We're probably the best thing to happen to so many people. Because here's the thing. They could post any episode that we do on their social media. There's this huge pushback. All of their friends is like that's wrong. Fuck that I love the whatever. Yeah all shit say it. Vais said it. I agree they're pieces of shit. Even if you post it and even if you say you hate everything you heard and you disagree with everything you said. There's also the chance that someone who won't leave a comment will see it. Identify with it. Clicked play listen to it and it will make them feel better during a time of year. That always makes them feel bad. And if that's not worth sharing something than I don't know what it is. Yeah it's Christmas. If all goes according to our plan eventually we can convince everyone to stop playing Christmas music at their parties in their homes in public across the board. I think we can do this. Yeah I think we should start a movement. I think I feel like we actually already have started a movement. We have for going to destroy Christmas music forever. We're going to make anything that if a band puts out album the immediate response from everyone is fuck. You Fuck you should be as the world. I WanNa live in the best thing anyone could ask for for. Christmas is no more Christmas music. Yeah see by. Yeah that should be amazing I may actually listen this episode. I may have may set aside my anxiety and listening definitely..

"Magazine where she's a bunch of did Disney princesses. Which is hilarious. So there was an auction over the weekend of playboy founder Hugh Hefner's belongings. And there's a detail. I miss somebody paid twenty two thousand dollars plus for a very special ring of his it's a golden onyx ring that opened up it opens on the top to reveal a secret compartment, which is exactly the shape to hold a Viagra pill. So you open it and there's secret Viagra inside the race twenty two thousand dollars. Yeah. It's like Hughes version of a life alert bracelet. With that like. You could you can use it. But like, otherwise, what do you mean? You gotta have a lot of money spent twenty two thousand dollars on that. What the hell do you do with that? Where it, you know. No for when you need your Viagra. It's actually kind of a cool ring. Just keep mine on my pocket is just like right there. I don't need a ring. Lantana? And you know, you might forget it's in there and into the washing machine timers. Right. I don't care if wash my drugs again, and they're expensive too from what I understand. I've never messed with that stuff. We talked about it a couple of weeks ago because I said I wanted to drag my husband. Yeah. I've never. Fortunately, I'm not at that point yet. I you have some gray hair. But the point here from having a pop that so, but I I know people who've tried it. I've. I'm afraid I'd be that guy who had never went down like ever and for the rest of my life. I'd have to like. I'd have to go to the yard or I'd have to purchase kind of brace or something to like keep it down because it would never go down ever. Do you know if it lasted too long, you'd have to go to the? What are the on their like sorry, dude? Like, we can never go down. It's going to be like this forever. You'd have to walk around like this forever. And then I become the dude is pitching at ten twenty four seven like people think, I'm perverted. I'm like, no I recreationally took Viagra never went down. So they have to give you a shot in your Wang. If it doesn't go down. I've heard that Dr listing. What do you do how does that work? Eight five five five nine one one zero three five everyone else. Listen to Christmas music. Let's have a valuable conversation public service. What happens if you take Viagra and it lasts then? And and the soldier never retreats. You know, he just continues to stand at attention. What is it true that you have to like drain it or there's an injection involved? This is all your floods. Rush. Matter is someday, I'm going to need it. So I'm not screwing with it. Until that time. We're we're talking wait until we're way away from that time. Fortunately, but someday, I'm going to need it. And I'm not messing around till it. It's essential. I'm just not people do for fun. Fun to me this summer. We're back to find out. What happened? He works on women to do. You take it. Hopefully, nothing stays up. You know? I hope not. So if you wanna do it, then you're doing. All right. More to check it online. You could see that ring, by the way. It's kind of a cool looking rain that's up there. Yeah. I think so. And you could also see Lindsay Lohan as the DNC Disney princesses and the preview for her club show. It's all at dot com. I know offense. We have a nursing student. We have an EMT, I'm we'll take both of them. But I know we have like OB gyns listen to us and stuff like that. I really liked to talk to. But that's fine. Let's see what we got nursing students. Good. Hi nursing student. Nikki, how are you? I so what happens if if one is to take the pill after using Hugh Hefner's twenty two thousand dollars Viagra ring. And then it doesn't go down. What happens? So it's almost like a shot, but there is a needle drain the blood out of your. So you put the needle in the johnke. All right, Nikki, I gotta go. Thank you. Side and the whole. Dr Tim, Tim. Doing. Well. How are you? Dr tim. Thank you so much. He's an ER physician. No sense a nursing student. That's lovely and thank you for going to nursing school. This is great. But we had Dr Tim now. And so Dr Tim is she right? If the if first of all, why does that happen? If one is to take the pill, and it does not retreat. Why not? The wait a medication works is. It makes the blood vessels expand and get real like open. Goes in. But it doesn't come out and is seen this. Oh, yeah. Lots of times. Okay. So the blood vessel. Okay. So so you seen this as in your physician? And so then what do you do when person comes in and says, it's we'll go down. Nice back on it. You tell me think about you know, boring thing. Are you serious right now in icepack numb? Yeah. Okay. Work which by about half, the time doesn't work again. Having to do you large needles? Jesus who? Okay. What happened? And you take some medication designed to reverse biogra-. And from either side of the Panthers. Stop. Oh my gosh. Antidote. Okay. So what kind of how many of these cases? Do you see Dr? Common. So I've been practicing now for my ten years and I've seen from about fifteen or twenty. So when it comes in with that issue is he in pain or is he just like this on? Titles. That usually brings him in. Why would it hurts? Why would it because it doesn't hurt when you have it for, you know, the time that you need it for the time that you're using it? So why would it hurt later? You know, what I'm saying would always much blood for too long in one place exactly block going in. But it's back coming out. He's still got all the blood keep going in towards just filled in pressure and pressure in front. The needle is probably secondary all the Neal between injecting the medication and then truthfully pulling some of the blind out. On. Are the guys like just screaming believable? Yeah. Usually, they are known ROY. The needles darn they're usually very appreciative. Because. Dame there in from the prolong your accent was preemptive. That is orders of magnitude worse than what I'm gonna do. I'm sure how

"In some contexts Christmas music has the effect of putting me in a worse mood now I like Christmas and I'll celebrate Christmas with my family. We'll have the kiddos Oper, and we'll give and receive gifts, and we're going to we're going to enjoy the holiday. I don't enjoy it like I enjoy Halloween, but I I'm okay with Christmas. And I call it Christmas. That's how the the holiday is colloquially colloquially known. And it's you know, it's the name of the the specific event December the twenty fifth. I'm not that guy. It's not even thanks giving yet and so much of Christmas music out there, especially the classics that have been butchered by Popstars. They take songs that you and I love Bing Crosby white Christmas. And they take those beloved classics, and they just they take them out into their snowy yards, and they just urinate all over them. Christmas music is not putting me in a better mood, and especially the cheery mentos commercial woman. Standing in front of me. It's not putting me in a better mood because she this just no one's then happy. Now one is that happy. It's like watching a nineteen fifties sitcom, it's the most wonderful time of the. This is my money. Just put it in the put it in put it in somebody else's account. Just take the money. It's take it. Take the money. I need to leave. There's a place in broken arrow here. My home, well, Tulsa, broken arrow where I get my haircut. Right. You call in to get the to get an appointment. And so I call up, and I'm like, hey, I'm calling to make an appointment and the person, I guess it's a call center, you can tell there's a bunch of chatter in the background. And this person is just as bad. He's like, okay, great. We'll get you on the calendar. Looks like it might be kind of a busy week. We'll see if we can find an opening. Okay. Well, wait. And can I ask you what the favorite thing is that you did this weekend. I should you not this is what he said to me. Excuse me. Just Jack and see what's your favorite thing was that you did this last weekend. They're not talking to me. They're not talking at me. I'm not even convinced they're working from a script. Because this does not sound like the kind of thing that any competent business owner would ask their employees to do. Like. Anybody who's a public figure, you know for lack of a better word how to kind of work a room, and you can do so insincere way because you genuinely want to be there, you know, how to strike up conversation with people, you know, how to engage in and find ways to connect with those that you may not even have something in common with you become skilled at starting igniting, the spark of conversation with people that is not it. Hey, what's the vapor thing that you did this last weekend? Well, it was not talking to you. I didn't say this thing.
