Hey brain stuff I'm Lauren Vogel bomb and today's episode is another classic from our erstwhile host. Christian, Seder! As casual computer use has shifted from happening on laptops and desktops to touchscreen devices. The patterns of wear on traditional cordy keyboards has shifted to so which keys now wear out I. Brain stuff. It's Christian Sager here. If you spend a Lotta time using a computer, you've undoubtedly noticed that over time. Some of the letters on your keyboard start to disappear. That leads to the question which keys on a keyboard tend to wear out the fastest since keys wear out because of us, it's logical to assume that the keys that wear out the fastest are the ones we use most heavily. So which ones are they back in the days before computers when typewriters and typesetting machines? Machines were used to put words on paper. That was a fairly easy question to answer. As a trade publication called, the inland printer noted back in eighteen, ninety eight, it was widely accepted that the most used key on keyboards was the space bar followed by the letter e, some sources still adhere to that convention a Microsoft Product Marketing. Official told business insider in twenty thirteen, for example that the most used key was the space bar followed by the and then the backspace key, but. But if you really want the definitive answer, the source best equipped to give it might be someone who replaces computer keys for a living Patrick Halcrow is owner and operator of Laptop Dash Keys dot com, which supplies keys and parts needed along with repair instructions to people who need to fix their broken laptop keyboards. halcrow explains in an email that these days habits have changed. That's because a lot of people who were once casual computer users have switched to using smartphones and tablets with. With touchscreens to write emails and checkout, social media and videos, and the people who still use laptops are mostly either workers or computer gamers as Halcrow says gamers mostly order replacements for the W A S, and d keys as well as the Arrow keys. That's because these specific keys are used for player movement in RPG type Games as well as vehicle control in driving type simulators, people who use desktop and laptop computers for work in contrast tend to replace the Vowel keys a e. And you and the Space Bar, and the Arrow keys which halcrow said are the keys pressed most often when typing according to halcrow people tend to replace keys mostly because of aesthetics they don't like the look of keyboard where some of the letters are worn off, and not because of wear and tear on the underlying mechanism. When there is actual damage, he says it's not because of wear and tear, but rather it's accidental. Think of your pets knocking laptop off a table or children breaking off the keys, and as is the case with all accidents. Breaking the actual key mechanism is more unpredictable..

Most people are doing better on the Trump black unemployment lowest since the sixties Espada unemployment lowest since the sixty so yeah, I mean the economy that's what it's all about always about bread and butter issues. Then a communist is going to improve the economy since there's no evidence in the history of communism or socialism that they can or will improve the economy. None. In fact, the opposite is is what the evidence indicates to elect the seltzer male be the the destruction of America for thousand years, but I will tell you right now if he is the front runner any looks like he is. And we're getting way ahead of ourselves. He's not going to be a cakewalk for Donald Trump. Because I can guarantee you that he's running. What do they call it where they try out? Somebody looks like the opposition. And they guy plays them whatever role playing role modeling he's gonna walk all over Trump in some ways Trump's going to try to bully him. Did not survive the liberalism of France, which has become so supine that the country could go up like a tend to box at any time. This is not the first church set on fire by radical Islamists. It was the number twentieth church that I can see there's been a war against Christianity and a war against the French people in that nation. So why would we not assume that the people who've been conducting this war conducted this fire? Why do we eliminate that immediately? I'm not I'm not Shepard Smith. All right. He's got the wall. Banger wall bankers own wall. Bangers like a sock puppet in his pocket. We'll bang is really one of those little puppets. That you buy you keeping your pocket, and you hold onto when you want to have some fun, but the rest of the network by and large are rather liberal matter what they may say in order to appease, the the boss, you know, I once had a job many years ago, I will say where way before radio, and I I didn't get along with the management at all what else note. And I smoke at the time to Arrambide I told her I was having a lot of trouble with my job because of that. And he looked at me. And he said, well, Michael, Dino, the golden rule, I should know. I think it went along the lines of he who pays the gold makes the rules that kind of got me in line. I didn't run the place. I was working. I work there. And the same applies at Fox News running the business you appease the ownership. Or you're out in the cold with two Dixie cups and the string. Or you're doing a podcast for yourself in West Virginia in an abandoned coal mine. That's the way it works. So you wanna be on main street, then you appease, the mayor of St. it's that simple. It seems to me that Donald Trump has been either misled or has been muted. By very powerful forces around him. And this is not good for America. Because when you see an old bum like Bernie Sanders. Making such headway at his age with such antiquated ideas. You have to wonder what is it that Trump is doing wrong that would permit a guy like Bernie Sanders, the ri- so fast? They're part of America. And this does not solve anything. Right. He was supposed to keep them out. Not bring them in plain English is that correct? You actually think the Trump's base exists primarily at FOX those. No, it doesn't it did a number of years ago. But since O Reilly left. I don't believe it's true, frankly. Yeah, sure. He's got the wall banger wall bangers own wall. Like a sock puppet in his pocket. We'll bang amazingly one of those little puppets that you buy you keep in your pocket you hold onto when you wanna have some fun. But the rest of the that work by and large rather live Brule matter what they may say in order to appease, the the boss, I once had a job many years ago, I will say where way before radio, and I didn't get along with the management at all. What else do? And I spoke at the time to Arrambide I told him I was having a lot of trouble with my job because of that. And he looked at me. And he said, well, Michael, Dino, the golden rule, I should know. I think it went along the lines of he who pays the gold makes the rules. Well, that kind of got me lying. I didn't run the place. I was working I work there. And the same applies at Fox News or any other business you appease the ownership. While you're out in the cold with two Dixie cups and the string. Or you're doing a podcast for yourself in West Virginia in an abandoned. That's the way it works. So you wanna be on main street, then you appease, the mayor of St. that simple. So look these topics are really interesting. I'm not setting the world on fire with them. But I'm telling you right now, I the fire got me very very sick. Because the reaction was all wrong, not only amongst the French officials are full of crap to begin with. When you consider who who the president is a France macaroni is a banker from the Rothschild Bank. I didn't make it up not trying to provoke any world conspiracies, but he came from the Rothschild Bank man put together worked for the Rothschild Bank. He's a technocrat. He's got no leadership whatsoever. He's like a Wimpy technocrat. That's all he ever was the same is true of the guy who runs a Canada, the same type a Wimpy technocrat. The only western nation with any leadership is the United States of America with Donald Trump. But he's been muted in the last few months. It seems to me that Donald Trump has been either misled or has been muted. By very powerful forces around him. And this is not good for America. Because when you see an old bum like Bernie Sanders. Making such headway at his age with such antiquated ideas. You have to wonder what is it that Trump that is doing wrong that would permit a guy like Bernie Sanders the rice so fast? Shall I say that again? I'm not gonna say it again. It was perfect. Sometimes things come out perfectly. You don't have to repeat them. San francisco. Linda line four. What's your topic? Where are line four? Go ahead. Please, Linda, what's on your mind. Yes. I want to tell you. I am so disappointed in President Trump now wanting to dump the immigrants in sanctuary cities. That is such a bizarre thing for him to want to do because these were cities as much as we don't approve of them. They're part of America. And this does not solve anything. Right. He was supposed to keep them out. Not bring them in plain English is that correct? And number two, the sanctuary cities of all ready taken up there and said go do it. We we love them. We want more of them. Yes. So he made a mistake. He in other words, he didn't think this through. He probably had a late night phone call over some ice cream with wall banger and Wilbanks says yes to any idea that comes to mind, and then he ran with it the next day on a tweet. It was a terrible idea because he didn't run it by me. I agree. One of the dumbest ideas, I have heard by the way. Not not a good idea. I'm sorry. It didn't work. We have one open line. If you wanna grant grab it. Eight five five four two seven two eight two eight five five hundred savage. I don't want to take a break. I want to talk a little bit more. I know I have to you know, every day I run into people live around the area where I live in San Francisco, and they say Michael don't leave radio we live for your show. You're the only one who says that we believe we feel outnumbered wherever we go. We feel outnumbered. Only you make us feel like we have a voice in the city and in this country. When I meet some friends who are military people. And I mean, the real McCoy not paper pushers, they say the same thing to me. They tell me that people around the country in the military, listen to this show and hang on every word, and they feel I am their voice. They're only voice I.
