"Don't forget to celebrate responsibly. It is time now for dumps to the touchscreen in the ipad. Hebron go through some names. And we're gonna have a quick conversation with dumping you re keeping you carson what let's start with carson wentz the eagles quarterback. We'll start with quarterbacks in general high stefania goodbye carson. Wentz why is he. Why is even an option to dump. He should have been dumped already. But you know what he actually had eighteen plus fantasy points last night but it is ugly like and here's the other reason why at some point you cannot continue to not like at some point. Don't they have to give jalen hurts a chance. They have to. Eagles fans are gonna lose their collective mind over this heartache. They're already are steaming over travis. Fogel remember him by by by by sad four catches in his past three games. He's good. I wish they'd get him the football more. I don't know why after he had that ridiculous month they've decided to fade. I'm sorry by by cam newton's to find out what do you think your dumps bill or no. I'm not dumping cam newton. Here's the thing is that like. I don't think cameras your starter. I i should say this. I don't think cam is your only quarterback on your roster. I think he has mostly been either. A matchup dependent play which has been hard because not like the patriots had an awesome offense this year. But if you go back and look at the number of top twelve finishers cameras. Still has a high floor my estimation just that he's had a couple and i understand there's been to clunkers and there have been two clunkers but otherwise it's been pretty good. If he's your quarterback my advice would be to add a second. Have a devon devin singletary. You've got a strong opinion here in around now. okay. I'm going to keep them. And here's the reason why the bills said after sunday's game that they're run heavy offense a run. Heavy offense was by design really hard to find running backs right now. I'd keep him on the bench just in case but he. He's flirting with it. As to whether he deserves to be kept on ross welcomed outfield. derek carr yesterday notifying. No no i mean. I think last week was an outlier. It was really bad but look they play next. Yeah they play the jets this upcoming week. That was the reason why last week we mentioned him as a waiver wire ad specifically for week thirteen. Like if you've got. Tom brady on your roster good week. Add derek carr lady on bell. He put him in dumps spill. But here's what i will say. If you have clyde edwards helaire you should keep and you have it on you. Keep them if you the only case for on bell is that he's insurance but even then let's say something does happen to over dealer two things. I'm not convinced. It's exclusively on bell in the backfield beyond that. Like if clyde edwards helaire who's much faster allusive. Maybe even as close to his powerful lobby on bell can't find the endzone frequently. What makes you think that lay beyond. Bail will find the endzone frequently as the chief starting running back. He can be dumped. Unless you have the right setup for him to be insurance. Gillum balaj dumps films. You watch austin ekeler. Daily did was unbelievable. Took my line. If you saw austin ekeler then answers. And i didn't hear his name called on. I heard joshua kelley. I like there were blogs out. He was out right. So the idea of when you come back and you look at how that offense ran all those running backs luke way better as a as a group. No offense accountable loss. She's just the odd guy out. There agreed there is a couple more here. Question christian kirk will keep him in. Here's the reason. Why like he's been a little bit he hasn't been maybe the most optimistic view but he's kind of been what you expected coming into the season like. There's clearly number one in arizona. He is not at markey's brown. I'm sorry goodbye you're out. What has happened you man. You're supposed to fulfill expectations this year. It has not been the case. If you need the roster spot marquees brown is expendable of course the ravens as we've been telling you play in week i'm sorry wednesday of week twelve so just couple of mind of note here. We're past the trade deadline and the playoffs are coming both in fantasy and eventually the real playoffs as well as of right now week. Thirteen because the season is still seventeen weeks. We thirteen is the final week in default settings for the regular season of your league. So i think it's important to note that in previous years what i would tell you. Is that like absent. Your quarterback having week. Thirteen by like tom brady does in like a teddy. Bridgewater does You don't need to carry two quarterbacks. Like if you have a patrick bohm's or does shawn watson or whatever like continue to run it with our try to try to just that player and not worry about a backup quarterback. This year is the year to ensure your spots as much as possible more than ever and maybe quarterback you can get by with just one because the reality is that in a ten team league. If something happens you can still get someone sunday morning if need be. But if there's like a really solid option out there or if you're looking to play match ups like if you want to carry. Derek carr zeca quarterback for this week just in case. Not a bad idea. We can also do this. We can talk about waiver wire ads for this week. And we'll do this quickly and then we'll eventually rank them if possible. Let's get some of the waiver wire ads and all starts to with kirk cousins. Who if you're looking for a quarterback to add specific to week thirteen. Kirk cousins is on the radar. He came off of a good game last. This actually think he's looked better later in the season then he did early on no part of him. It started the season but i. I was impressed with his performance this past week and the vikings still sort of clawing for a playoff spot. They're they're upcoming schedule home to the jaguars that's what matters in. This scenario is the kirk. Cousins plays the jaguars on sunday. He's coming off of his best game of the season this past week against the carolina panthers if you need a waiver wire quarterback for this week. I'm talking to you. Everybody rosters tom. Brady out there. There is your options. The running back options are not great this week on the waiver wire but the most important one potentially devante booker. That's because josh jacobs left sunday's game as find based off of comments over the past couple of days. What have we learned about the severity of josh jacobs ankle issue. Well yesterday. I said that. Jon gruden had expressed concern about it but as of as of yesterday afternoon. It sounds like they're much more positive and they think that he will be able to play this next week. I have piece of everybody if you have josh. Jacobs still add devante. Parker like this is like we've been down this road. How many weeks was chris carson. Going to be fine until he was not francorp for the jets. And we love frank orange podcasts. Nobody less frank gore frank gore. But i thought the jets with nolan ryan would maybe consider somebody like josh adams or tied johnson to get some more work. How about this week. Twelve frank gore handled eighty six percent of the jets running back carries. He accounted for ninety five percent of the jets running back yard. He'll be a top thirty to thirty five. Ish option this upcoming week for the jets against the raiders. A generation rising is brought to you by. Ea sports.
Larry Fitzgerald To Miss Patriots-Cardinals Game In Boston With COVID-19
"Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has tested positive for covert 19 and will miss Sunday's game against the Patriots. Fitzgerald's in his 17th NFL season is played in all 10 of Arizona's game this year. Sunday, will mark the first game he's missed in over five seasons. Earlier this week, Patriots coach Bill Belichick voiced his respect for Fitzgerald. Without Fitzgerald, the Cardinals will still have in their receiving corps DeAndre Hopkins, who leads the league in receiving yards. Christian Kirk and U Mass graduate Andy Isabella. 4
Arizona knocks off undefeated Seattle with 37-34 OT victory
"The Steelers the NFL's only unbeaten team following the Seahawks thirty seven thirty four overtime loss at Arizona St Gonzales made a forty yard field goal with twenty seconds left in O. T. after drilling a forty four yard field goal as regulation expired the Seahawks led thirty four twenty four until Christian Kirk caught an eight yard touchdown pass with two twenty eight left in regulation that passed came from Kyler Murray who threw for three hundred sixty yards three touchdowns and one interception the outcome leaves the five into cardinals just a half game behind the Seahawks for the NFC west lead I'm Dave Ferrie

"But the defensive line was not the dominant defensive line that we had seen. A most of last year in the recent beings because they think they got gas at the end of that game, and Kyla Murray running around and they just couldn't go ears pinned back because they knew that Marie could slip out of there, and they had to Stay into those lanes if they didn't do a good job of and a lot of people are asking questions on the text line, by the way for 158 away can br about Kyla Marine. I heard Tim talk about this during your broadcast yesterday, which was you gotta have somebody fast enough to stay with Kyla Murray. But if you're Robert solid, don't you have to try something because he was shredding them getting out of the pocket. He's a special athlete in high school. He didn't lose a game. He went like 43, you know, and he fast for over 10,000 yards. He also ran. For over 4100 yards when he won the Heisman. Hey, had 4361 yards passing in 1000 and one yards rushing. He averaged in college 71 a half yards rushing a game. The year you won the Heisman Last year, He was second Lamar Jackson. He's a far better throw. I thought he was off yesterday. He did not have a great game throwing, and I was listening to get Greg Cosell in my ears all day. About how he missed a lot of throws. And when I went back and studied them or over the weekend to get ready for yesterday, he missed a lot of throws against the 40 Niners last year. So I thought he was off. There was one throat. It was right to Christian Kirk that he missed him badly. He is a lack of a crowd. Noise impacts. Somethings. I think it certainly helped their their offensive line and D. J. Humphries at left tackle. And Kelvin Beacham at right tackle to block you know Ford Bosa. But he is a a difficult guy to tackle anyway. The 40. Niners had a hard time with him last year. He is special and the way they played the game. They not only played fast tempo get you on the line. We're going to snap it quick. And you You know, get you just sucking wind, but they he didn't hold the ball last year. On average. He held the ball like 2.67 through Ah, seconds of throw yesterday. If he didn't have his first read, he was gone. It was one reading go, but he's a much better runner than Kaepernick is an elusive Ragnar Kaepernick select after seeing that, right I see. Well, he Kaepernick would do it because he froze. He couldn't go to his progressions, which Jimmy played too much like yesterday where this was designed. You're not going to your second or your third. You are getting it out. If you're first is not there, you're gone and And we got to talk to Mike Pereira about you know, the sliding and how you deal with that, but if they also had quarterback Design runs there. A quarterback designed draws. He did that last year against the four denies your scoring the quarterback design sweep. I think they've got to be careful about getting him hurt, but he was. He's a baseball player, Billy being drafted him in the first round in 2018. S o. He slay knows how to slide and the one thing with Mike. We got to get into Is there is not Is nothing in the rulebook that protects the quarterback more than anybody else when they go into a slide if Kevin Coleman Just wanted the break into the second level and not just truck a linebacker, but he wanted to go to a slide right into him. They would not be allowed to hit him. But no one's going to do that. I mean, you know, Franco got crab for running outta bounds. No. Tight end or wide receiver running back is going to give themselves up, but they want calamari to give himself up. But then what do you do when he does, and I think those two personal fouls One Andre Greenlaw and one on Carrie Haider Jr. John. They were very different place, but this is why The running quarterback for years. What? You can't win another running quarterback Bobby Douglas and 72 Ranford 1000 yards in Chicago. How they suck. You can't win that way. And now we're seeing Lamarr, you know, being a number one seed. And there are protections that quarterbacks have and you got great offensive minds like Greg Roman and incorporate the quarterback in the run game, every single play, so you have to account for him show it changes the count in the box and changes the game. It's like having a 12 player on the field. And then when you get on top of it, and Lamarr doesn't slide down, he spends and tries to beat you or he's so fast. He just glides out of bounds. Skylar will do that as well. But he'll go into a baseball slide. Right when you're running up carry hiders on. I've got to get this guy and he goes into a slide. What the hell do you do there? You're running as fast as you can, because he's the fastest guy on the field. And you're trying to tackle him and then all of a sudden a nanosecond before you arrived. He goes into a slide and in green loss case, you fall and stumble into him, and now he gets 15 extra yards, so it plays into a sole advantage to give himself up with the baseball slide. I will hit the Czech side. There's about 45 really good ones. There's a question about Hopkins. There's a couple of questions about Jimmy will give you that. And then the top of the hour. We're going to Mike Pereira. Like I said some of the questions around the 40 Niners game and there was a big Call in the Cowboy's Rams game last night that flip that one at the ends. We're going to that with Mikey Rule books at 11. It's popping one. Thanks for joining us on Lee here on the SportsCenter thes his papa and Lund live on. FM. "Card with this please sixty all right so Kyler Murray there on the highlight with a touchdown pass to Christian Kerr how like crazy facts and Murray had been placed on the injury report with a hamstring on Thursday but good news Murray is expected to go today against the rams at home so that is good news if you're a calamari owner I will say it for all the Christian Kirk owners out there I'd be a little bit concerned today he's clearly the best pass catcher at this point Larry fitzgerald epic career but he's no longer the number one receiving option in the cardinals passing game that has gone to Christian Kirk and you have to wonder just how much Jaylen Ramsey will be shadowing Christian Kirk today and if that is indeed what happens then Christian Kirk could be in for a frustrating day for fantasy owners out there so I would say karla Murray owners good news for him as he is expected to go today but Christian Kirk owners even though he will play I'd be concerned about Jalin Ramsey who is one of the few corners out there who tends to shadow the wide receivers best receiving option at least he certainly has done that for the rams since he's arrived so be it a little bit concerned and play it safe if you're a Christian Kirk owner consider alternatives goals.

"Dot com all right so it's a busy day Charlie Kirk dominates in Arizona forty point eight points that's the top wide receiver of the day and right behind him at thirty seven point two we fight Gary is slated right there below him is Tyree kill with thirty six points Thomas in New Orleans with thirty one point two and then there's I'm sorry it's Christian Kirk I thought so but I'd you said it's competently had to double check it what are who I said to Charlie Kirk cheese I'm sorry I just wanted to make sure I have no idea wait a second hold on a second we're gonna have to go through and make sure that I didn't all like Jeez that's that's not the right person I just wanna make sure people know who won their fantasy team did well and they all that are that they're thinking they got to go pick somebody up this week Kristin Kirk I apologize that is a very unfortunate slip I apologize to Christian out there Christian Kirk led the league lake right now with forty point eight points but only for guys in the thirties and it doesn't look like anybody is going to catch up to them anytime soon as far as any the wide receivers plate right now Landry in Cleveland had twenty four point seven that's the dip from Thomas so Landry as far as top forty top five Golden State with twenty four points running backs Derek can we got the ball like thirty times today thirty six points Jones in Tampa twenty three point six Gordon this was from Thursday night still right there to top with twenty three points to Joe mixing with twenty points those the only guys to crack twenty again we still have McCaffrey playing at Jones in Green Bay even balance sheet in the bottom there nobody at the moment is cracking twenty points top quarterback performance today dangled Jones thirty four point two points but right below him was Lamar Jackson at thirty three point four Bob holds in his return thirty two points Kyler Murray thirty points only guys to crack thirty today Josh Alan James Winston Salem Donald in the twenties but really mid to low twenties and right now you've got Ryan Fitzpatrick because even Arab Rogers a slow start defense of note today would be the Baltimore Ravens they played really well especially because they went up against the Cincinnati Bengals entidades you had two guys in the twenties Travis Kelsey marketers ahead of them with twenty three point three points but Kelsey finished with twenty points how bout O. J. Howard I think a lot of people thought that guy was all the I. OR and J. Howard came back from the dead with for cheap well I'm happy for that young man because he's been victim I think of James Winston's regression the most down there Tampa Bay that was a huge day for OJ how're not all of this of course brought to us by roof is T. dot com where you can find out more about the award winning barbecue products and rubs eight side shader SBNation radio at shared the show is how you get me on Twitter mentioned coming up at seven minutes will look a little deeper into what that means for the Baltimore ravens the biggest positive statement by a winner today and if you get it doesn't mean that you can't be part of an upset like Tennessee doesn't mean you can't celebrate if you're the Cleveland Browns but the biggest statements made by a winning program today by team with playoff and now Super Bowl aspirations I think is the Baltimore Ravens and will explain a little bit more coming up in the next segment just looking at where we are right now with these three games going on it's at the half and I don't know with as predicted so much is maybe a little more disappointing right a lawyer had a full week for the Miami Dolphins lawyer did not come in this was not a late scratch no this was aids I'll pay now Chicago where you found out late last night most likely if not early today by the way that the staff is a plan so we got to go to back up this is a full week of preparation and that's what I think is most disappointing for this call Steve because you can't just let down all right you don't have to Kobe percent who's played really well this year you don't have T. Y. Hilton you already knew that as well these are not last minute things that you have to adjust that I think is not an excuse well this isn't leveling on what the states it's gone at the Miami Dolphins are a bad football team right but for Brian Hoyer and this offense to muster up nothing and full horror to throw two interceptions and look as if he'd just stepped into this game that is teetering on head scratching this offense with Frank right they should have been looking better they should have been more prepared and they should not have been subjected to multiple mistakes look right fits Patrick is not dominating don't know why is part of another is balance this is big short fields this is big points off turnovers and a field goal of turnovers this is big the colts allowing the dolphins to get these points on the board it's not even the colts go three and out by any moves the football down the field and scores elsewhere the Packers with the football deep in the road territory though second at thirteen on their own seven they leave the Pat there's fourteen ten this five minutes left so expect more of an explosive offense a couple of chances down the field here as they try to get out of the situation and move the football maybe even get another strike up against the Panthers a lot of might get the ball back in depending on how really going on how the flow of this game has been so far you'd expect the Packers take a shot or two maybe that means they had the ball over maybe they just get on the board faster but you would think Carolina will get the ball back one more time is it's not third at thirteen red said Steelers still tied at seven this was gonna be going on for a little bit the seven minutes left in the second quarter so the rams unable to pull away can't really penetrate deep into Pittsburgh's territory Goff it company did not been moving the football as deep as anticipated and yeah I get it you know you you're down but it doesn't mean it down Cooper cop does it mean in fact that again everything just troubles this is like yes the concern that people had of this offense that it would be a little sluggish with this track I think it's more a matter of Pittsburgh's defense played a little better than anticipated ravens with a huge statement today gets the bangles more of what the Packers could do with a victory how about the Panthers it'll not out of it by any means trailing by for showing that they can go back and forth so the total with three day at least in the first half to be a pretty big statement by Caroline if they get away with this as.

"We'll get to your waiver wire column here in a second field coming up later in the show, but with Greg Olsen out, you know, there's a chance that you might need a tight end. And there's somebody who is not one hundred percent. It rostered a short kinder- excuse me Christian Kirk done for the year of the Zona cardinals talented second round wide receiver. We we've been sort of talking about how you can not comfortably start. Any Redskins player? Really aren't starting any bangles player other than Tyler Boyd or Joe mixing comfortably. The cardinals are kind of in that bucket as well. Obviously, David Johnson is one thing and fits to a degree as well. But Christian Kirk being done for the year. No way. I mean, no one else that you can Nelson now Chatanooga. Yeah. Chad Williams has been her Trent sherfield has been running ahead of JJ Nelson. So it'll be those three if Williams is healthy going forward Sherefield again, nothing. He's like a deep deep super deeply dynasty flyer. They seem to like him a lot. He was undrafted this year. He's getting some run out of Vanderbilt, but was a safety and quarterback deep name to watch nothing shorter. Nowhere to go but up for this era Zona offense, but the focal points being Josh Rosen and Christian Kirk and David Johnson going forward. Give me a bit of hope they need about five offense of Lyman that are capable of doing. Playing another three wide receivers. Second running back tight end and a couple of other things. But there's a chance we'll see what happens to Arizona this off season. We'll be interesting to see where they end up going as an organization last thing year sarcastic west officially resigned with the chiefs face. We know he has been there previously. As a matter of fact of the year that Spencer ware really broke out it we came alongside Chandra quest. They were signed to extensions on the same exact day later on from there. We noted this yesterday. There's a possibility they wanted to add some death in the back of I think would've probably underscores most is that if you thought there was a chance that Damian Williams might become more involved, it's possible. But Chuck request is also going to be involved traditionally throughout his career. Andy Reid has been one running back guy. And my expectation is that unless Spencer ware gets injured or just completely falls on his face Spencer, where it's going to be the guy and shark Kendrick west and Damien Williams are merely handcuffs. And look if if if you're in a season long league. You're in a redraft league. And you manage to get Spencer ware and you have hunt. Like, I have no problem. Obviously, you're dropping hunt and picking up west as a handcuff. But I don't know that it's whether it would be if something were to happen to where I don't know yet, whether it would be west or Damian Williams still a little bit unclear here, but it's worth noting just somebody to keep on your radar. I think there are some there better options out there on the waiver wire for you to pick up this week along the lines of backup running backs Malcolm Brown for the Rams has a shoulder issue. It looks like he's going to be placed on injured reserve based off of the reports we saw yesterday and his own Instagram story post of him look like post post-surgery in the hospital. So the Rams, you know, obviously, it's Todd girl. It's Todd Gurley show. But as we get towards week seventeen if they got something clinched. Let's keep your eyes on a second Rams running back. Sure. And you just and you never know what can happen, right? I mean like I mean. Obviously, very different situation. And I'm not accusing anyone of anything. But it just like, you know, whether it's you know, what we saw with with Kareem hunt while we saw with Melvin Gordon like, you know, it's the NFL we saw last night with not that you're counting on Colt McCoy, but it is a dangerous league and things can happen on anyone play. And so as you head into the playoffs like I would much rather use my roster spots for backups and guys that, you know, should something happen to one of my starters to solidify then to hang onto a fifth wide receiver that I know I'm never going to start you know, that kind of stuff, and.

"Running high-speed like he's six one. You know, Mark is good ones. Five ten. There's a big difference between those two guys. And if you haven't heard of the correlation between college punt and kick returners who have success the guys that dominate in those special team roles in college translating to successful fantasy players. That's that's actually one of those big markers of if they're able to do that in open space, some whatever whatever trait that is tends to translate well to the NFL Christian Kirk. Yeah in and he was a hominem. I mean that he's he broke records in college for that. Well, hopefully, he can stay healthy to having been injured already this year truth Justin Jackson's my rising star running back for the Los Angeles chargers. So few San Diego showing up on the broadcast last night. I don't blame him. But Justin Jackson look gets Cincinnati next week and Melvin gorge. And does miss. It's a great opportunity for Justin Jackson Austin her. Tried to put the Batman suit on last night. It didn't fit big it didn't it was too big. It was long around ruby. He put he needs to strap on the Robin suit the tight, Robin underpants. That's where he belongs. And that's not a look one of the highest average yards per touch Austin equa. He only has that. Because the touches don't come on every down trying to run between the tackles. Justin Jackson, gave the chargers. Something special last night. Mike has brought his name up repeatedly over the course of the preseason and into the season. I honestly thought Justin Jackson before the season would take equities job and going through the game last night. It was surprising. They didn't let Justin Jackson run more even after he was having success. They still went back to her. Well, it will be interesting to see if that game plan shifts next week of them saying, okay, we have the proof of concept. Just and you're good. Even he got called out by Philip rivers. Yeah. I don't know if you guys saw during during the post game interview, Phil rivers rivers was elated and he's talked about the breakout party for thirty two. So I I it let's see if they use them next week. It might have something to do with hot hand might have to do with echo gets off to a slow start. They're going to quickly move into Johnson. And and you already said, Andy, but just repeat it Cincinnati next week. Yes. Goodness gracious. Justin Jackson is going to be a great start. And then Kansas City the next week. If for some reason, they hold Gordon now because they're in the playoffs or they listening to the show either way. Fifteen he'll be back. Just in time. My rising star could be put on ice here by Mike Tomlin, and his contused and confusion, and what's going on here with James Connor. But I wanted to bring up the name of Jalen Samuels because it in yahu leaks. Jalen Samuels, currently retains his tight end eligibility. Swayed Shaquille teeter, which means you could have the starting running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers next week in your tight end spot, which is certifiably unfair oath. We'll see of Yahoo jumps on this quickly or not. I don't know if they will. But regardless of that if James Kohner is going to miss Jalen Samuels projects to be the the primary ball carrier. The the primary guy of what could still be a little bit of a timeshare, but the main guy as they've shown Pittsburgh picks their guy in the go with him, and he would take on Oakland. So he will become a fantastic spot start. If if you're struggling with injuries heading into.

Virginia Beach was wondering if you could help out with this half point, PR debacle. Start three of these four mixing Chubb Connor Lindsey. Lindsay's? A must Connors must Mixim must. I would sit chub and side question. Have you guys discussed ranking quarterbacks next year with a four point versus six point for passing touchdown option. We have discussed it. It will be something that we talk about after the season ends. So at some point in February we will all sit down with all of our. Tech people they're way smarter than I am. They know how our technology works. And we'll see if we can I'd like to come to a solution where we can provide rankings for any type of league. Touchdown only league. That's easy. You don't rank them. We don't rank them. But if we're going to provide rankings for every type of format that means that we have to project players which food after project touchdowns which would help people in touchdown only leagues. Right. All right. We have all kinds of philosophical debates on that. Like when you project a touchdown. Should you project? The percentage chance that a player will score or do you project a decimal fraction of touchdown. Can you project a player for three tenths of a touchdown? What the hell is that you either score. You don't I saw we've had a lot of bag. You know, I've been doing this for a long time. We've had this conversation nanny times. And I don't know if there's a great philosophical answer. I don't know what people want from projections in terms of whole touchdowns versus fractional touchdowns percentage of touchdowns. Maybe. That's something that will come up on Twitter one day in February or March. I don't really look at projections. I look at rankings. Well, sometimes projections fuel the rankings. Sure, I think it's probably because I do so much research that I- internally project. I have a general idea of what I expect from someone. And then I use your rankings. But you know, I don't think our listeners do that. So maybe they use projections. All right. Let's move on more emails fantasy football at CBS dot com. This is from wait. Oh, yeah. We did answer that one. This is from Tony from CBS. Dave Tony from CBS. Awesome. Yeah. Pick one receiver in PR Christian Kirk Josh Reynolds, Mike Williams, it's going to be Josh Reynolds. The Tony yeti you can Email us. You know, we're all on the same server here. Yeah. Tony, maybe you're not really from CBS. Maybe he's from CVS, and it was a typo like Japan, Richard. Maybe he's from Columbus and forgot the hyphen in the U for C bus. Maybe did you that sounds far fetched? Do you ever do people ever ask you will you tell them what you do or who do you work for and you say CBS, and they say oh CV like they think it's the pharmacy. No. Usually they say what the hell kind of job is that now I thought those guys did that in their mom's basement. And I tell him I've got an office. "I don't see anyone else. That's just easily available that I'm like. Yeah. I'd rather have them than a top wide receiver playing with Cam Newton. Because even though camp Kim's kinda like Russell Wilson. They don't pass a lot. But when they do their touchdowns. So the touchdowns is where you're going to get that big bulk at the fantasy point. So I I'd be hard pressed to hear the name of the person, you should drop them. Four would be my question. But you know, what it's always about comparison. Yeah. Well, if I can't drop them now, obviously. But Tuesday when we do our waiver wire show, we'll talk about like, I could see Christian Kirk being somebody that I'm dropping funchess or more for probably I would do that. But Christian Kirk issues you pick up today. I agree. Yeah. I don't know. Why people don't have this guy? The volume's been there all day have Oakland next week. And he's going to be one of our beat the waiver wire guys Christian Kirk is fifty percent owned. I think he's a wide receiver. You should look at it. I think Willie snee- we'll get beat the waiver wire could be all right for you. And PR other thoughts on this game. Great games for Brown and juju Vance McDonald. The Carolina Panthers are this year. What the giants were last year. They are almost a guaranteed. Touchdown for tight ends seven nine games a touchdown to a tight end and seven of nine games so McDonald and Jesse James both caught touchdowns in this game. And here's the last thing from this game. Ben Rothlisberger his second game with more than forty fantasy points and six point passing touchdown leagues. He's unbelievable primetime at home. But his next two games are at Jacksonville at Denver. His his schedule going forward is pretty road. Heavy, of course, two of those games at Oakland at New Orleans. Those are weeks. Fourteen and sixteen so you maybe maybe you'll get away from then the next two weeks after that. You're starting them all the time. But at Jacksonville Denver. How do you think he comes through in those two games? I don't like him those two games. This is why I actually talked about this a lot in the preseason people always poo poo it, but I have a different technique when it comes to streaming quarterbacks. And Ben Rothlisberger is very much in the mix on this. I like to pair quarterbacks and stream them on my own team. I don't wanna go to waivers. I don't wanna use my waiver priority or fab money on quarterbacks. Instead what I do is I draft rothlisburger and Wilson or about Ryan Rothlisberger. Or where my favorite pairing is. Always Russell Wilson Philip rivers because their fantasy numbers always coincide gets better at the end of the season. Philip rivers, always falls off gun. So I like to coordinate those. But yes. So for me. Yes. I would not have about in the next two weeks. Listen, every point counts. Now, we are in the double digits. We are only few weeks away from the fantasy playoffs. Do not drop. Ben. Purpose burger to stream and be cute with Andy Dalton but do keep them on your team because those Oakland New England and New Orleans and the fantasy playoffs and Cincinnati if you playing week seventeen beautiful you can't offer anything better. Absolutely, right. All right. That's it for fifty two twenty one Pittsburgh over Carolina a blowout. And not quite a bonanza. I think I got that one wrong. It's because of the Panthers McCaffrey got all the scoring, but Camden really come through. And neither did anybody in the passing of disappointing game for Greg Olsen programming note for you. "Talked about is, is Larry jobs done is he's not getting a lot of separation? Well, I'm glad you said that because he's not even leading receiver for the Carlton. It's Christian Kirk. I don't have its yield has broken over forty yards receiving any game this year in Christian Kirk, the leading has only three hundred eleven yards on twenty five receptions one touchdown. That's who should be your leading receiver. And then. He looked at me and you'll Sanders has forty receptions over five, seven, very good season. No Sanders is having it definitely against hundred yards receiving in two touchdowns. That's a pretty good like and speaking of the Broncos we've seen Damaris Thomas actually loose naps. He's actually not the second guy on the receiving corps with the most snaps. It's actually court Sutton, their rookie wide receiver. So divinity wanna give him more time. I think they wanna see what he can really do manuals been the consistent one. He's been there. I think case keenum centers have like this. I think when you see a quarterback go to a team for the first time, you see who's his Goto zander's is him him. That's number one. But then you're looking at points per game. The Broncos have twenty points for game. That's not bad. That's roughly roughly three to two touchdowns in too bad, and it's not good. It's just is what is thirteen point? Seven points now that's bad. That's bad. Yeah, that was he want to look at their points allowed prog- I would actually say both are bad, but one is obviously considerably worse can win with twenty. You can to winter teen. You wanna look at their points allowed per game. Yeah. Go ahead. Who do you think has more points per game? Denver Denver has twenty five point. Seven points allowed per game in the areas wanna colonels twenty three point two points per game. Yeah, because this is not a defensive metric by the Broncos all though they were impressive against the chiefs. Say they're defense held the chiefs mostly mostly in chick or the Rams I should say. But the jets really gashed him like the jets really put it was brutal. The watch it was slot. But looking at this in looking at all these stats here, this game is not good. Awesome seems not good on paper by any racist down. Mark Sousa says that this game will be sneaky. Maybe because their defenses are sewn inept. The only thing that could make this game betters. If the brought to gone was still on Denver. It's fine. I'm going gonna say anything about that anymore. But by the way, did you hear that he's getting started this week? Guess he is. We'll get more on that then in the latest segments because that deserves a whole conversation itself. I, I agree. But looking, do you have a man crush on Aswa? They don't you. They've Brock rustic, I'm like, all right. Let's move on. Let's talk about tonight though. I think it's going to be a sneaky game, honestly, because you got. I get it. These teams aren't good, but this game has a potential to be good because you have the Branca's can't stop the run. The kernels need a Git right game. We're comes to running the football game. David Johnson might have himself dandy, he might have himself means it ninety two carries. You don't have three hundred yards and you should take yoga Johnson one hundred and thirty seven yards, rushing and two touchdowns. So you're saying he's gonna almost hundred and seventy five total yards for David Jones. So you're saying he's gonna basically double his his stats. Yes. Okay. I mean, that's a big possibility. But when my number one running back, his getting ninety, two carries which he should be giving them any carries granted, but he's only getting two hundred ninety seven yards. Is that his phone or is that his offense alliance fault zone, offensive line, one hundred percent. So you don't. You don't give David Johnson any of this blame. I actually think that David Johnson's been not as impressive as saquon Barkley, but there are a lot of runs where he doesn't show up in the box or he'll get like five or six yard run, and then I'll go back to look at the highlights and I'll look at the games and it's like, okay, he got a six yard run, but he broke four tackles like the dude is getting hit behind the line..

"And so de devante Booker was on the field and but he led him snap percentage of those three running backs. And if you look at by a bud hair, but well, regardless, he was still there and there's a metric, and then you know, Booker was on the field way too much, but do does anybody here think the cardinals are going to be up where the Broncos are going to be having to run their two minute offense for half of the game. No, I actually, I agree. Remember how bad latavius Murray was on onell unstoppable. How bad the Vikings offense of line when it comes to rushing the ball was how did he do against their Zona? Yeah, he at at least five. Vosa plays place. I, I'm with Jason. I think Royce Freemen's a fine play this week. Would you play? Lindsey? I would play Lindsey over him and that that's my, but only. Why isn't Lindsey the started the week if you've played Lindsey Lindsay's a every week, starter guide opinion already like he is interested. He's worked his way fi actually would play Freeman overland, oh, wow, Royce or Philip. Lindsey has worked his way I am going there and I say yes, sir. Waterbed Lindsay's become from an undrafted free agent into you. Don't even really have to talk about him because you start him every week. Okay. Well, good, good. We cardinals can't play defense. We know that at least against the running back physician, we talked about Christian Kirk talked about picking him up as a flyer. Can you play them at home in this game against Denver. I mean, they are. This is just not a high scoring affair. Yeah, I look when you've got to teams that are both beatable on the ground and both teams have running backs that should be able to succeed in that role. Let's just let's play out that possibility of the game script. That means there's a low scoring game. The clock is running. You know, the the game ends a little bit quicker in real time fewer points scored. So I like the running backs here. I like the defense is here for those reasons, but I'm not crazy about really any of the wide receivers. Gotta play me Emmanuel Sanders. Yes, he's, he's earned a, he's just you have to start him. He's the clear cut. Number one target. You could play four other wide receivers. In this game. You could play Christian Kirk or leery at home. You could play the Mary's Thomas certainly or Cortlandt Sutton. Would you rather play areas? I did about any rankings. We'll be out later today, but on the spot off the cuff, would you rather play Damaris Thomas or Christian Kirk cartesian. I mean, that's. Waterbed. No, I'm definitely not wanted. Eventually lady hit the button. That's a binding contract. Jason. You've made a point of saying this game is an atrocious. Opportunity for fans on Thursday night. Yes, let's make it interesting. Yeah. Well, let's put some pets as many bets out there as possible. All right, Rosen versus case keenum who you got. I got case. Waterbed, yes. All right. Here's the deal. May Jason made the point. There are four other place you could start just because we're water betting on. It doesn't mean we wanna start up the the difference, making factor for any flex play is what is the games outlook like? This is a forty point over under with struggling quarterbacks that is normally the difference maker that lets me put in a John Brown or Corey Davis, or somebody else in a different matchup over a Damaris. Thomas Sutton, Christian, Kirk. All right. So let me ask this question the the Broncos defense they are currently ranked twenty second against fantasy tight ends. There is a tight end who in the past three weeks has had fifty two or more yards twice fifty two yards last week, five for sixty nine. But right in the middle of that was a giant uncooked goose egg Ricky seals Jones. Do you have any faith deploy him at home against. A decent match faith. No, you have to have Cahoon is you're going Indiana Jones stepping out and hoping that the bridge appear. Yeah. No, thanks. I'm afraid of heights. If middle game, maybe you know if that was a cooked goose egg, I'm might be will always let it was uncut. It was an rotten. Let's let's answer some questions not talk about this game anymore. "It just impresses me because you wanna see people actually moving forward in that area are my sleeper. Rickie seals. Tied in for the cardinals is if it felt a little less enthusiastic today, Jason, excuse my sleeper, not his, yeah. All right. To me when I see what's going on in Arizona, you have a lot of unknown behind Larry FitzGerald in the past catching space, Larry FitzGerald, David Johnson, you know, they're gonna get theirs, but Christian Kirk, Brice Butler. Chad Williams, JJ Nelson JJ Nelson, my goodness, you. You live to drop passes JJ. I don't know why, but I don't see a lot of clarity behind fits in David Johnson. And what I do see is a very accurate Sam Bradford that is presently healthy and then offense and a Ricky seals Jones that is running round pretty much every time he's on the field. This was a guy who was a wide receiver throughout his entire collegiate career, a five star recruit a pass catcher by nature. And I think he's gonna end up a favorite target for Sam. Bradford UC will in the beginning of the season and he's going basically on drafted. I was the last person. Draft the tight end in our league of record draft. And I ended up with Ricky seals Jones and I'm cool with it. And then Graham Barfield friend of the show. He went out and tweeted a couple of very interesting things about Ricky seals Jones one basically saying he deserves a lot more hype as the late round tied in because the cardinals have two hundred seventy one targets available in that offense. He's played on eighty seven percent of first team snaps in preseason, and they opened the season against Washington the Redskins have given up the fourth most third, most an eighth most yards per game too tight ends over the last three years. I think the he fixed that absolute sleeper. Teams can start em week one. You can go out there and get him and start em week. One I think Ricky seals Jones is going to and he flashed last year. I mean he had opportunities. He scored touchdowns four games of over eighteen yards. And the team just likes him and they need him. You know, it's not. It's not like a tied in. That's got a bunch of talent, but you're, you're stuck behind three or four, five, six pass catchers. You know, AS j. like I like AS j. Jacksonville, I don't. I don't see a pathway to him being a week to we guy at least I see the pathway Ricky seals Jones. Sure. I think that's fair. And while Mike McCoy has had, you know, Antonio gates, great weapons. He he has also utilized the tight end position over the course of his head coaching in office of coordinating. So there are a lot of things pointing towards a quality breakout year for Ricky seals Jones..

"I mean, I think that he's like, look, we're looking for guys to take in the late rounds. Then for us, we play some deep leaks. This young man who I would now consider just based on some what I'm seeing in the preseason. There's not Larry FitzGerald is receiver I trust there and he's going to get the bulk of the volume, but the system exciting. I think he's got some potential there. It's interesting. He's a talented player, and we've been waiting for quite some time for a second wide receiver to emerge opposite of Larry Fisher that you could trust consistently fantasy mad the smoky Brown tenure, and we've had other players. You know, more distant, like and bold mix cetera. I'm not quite there on Christian, Kirk, Matthew, are you quite there yet on Cameron? Meredith, the saints number. Like there's somebody I would rather take in the late around and Kristen Kirk, like, I mean, I, I hear what's to you're saying about Christian kurkin. Listen, former texts, CENA Maggie. Obviously, you know, I grew up there. That's that's my college team that in Syracuse where I went to school. So I've watched a lot of Christian Kirk over the years. I like Christian Kirk is a player. He played a lot of slot in college. I don't know how much success he's going to have on the outside. I don't know how much volume this offense is going to have in the passing attack beyond their if it's Gerald and David Johnson. I like Ricky seals Jones, who by the way, played eighteen of twenty two snap to the first team offense on Saturday. That's a guy that's a deeper sleeper, so I don't know about Christian Kirk. I will just say that there are other guys like we talked about late Ron fires. You only get one or two of those. I mean how many, how many of those are you gonna have. So there's to me there. I'd rather I'd rather Mike Williams. The charge we're gonna talk about him. I'd I'd. Rather Danny amendola and we'll get to all those. But one of them is Cameron Meredith. You know, didn't do much obviously, but he played at least he played like that's been the question. I can't remember if is he going to be healthy and the fact that he was even on the field, even for a nanosecond tells me, hey, there's something there gimme a big target for drew. Brees has number to pass. Catcher has traditionally been very fantasy..

"So Fisher be really fun to see what he does is all right. How smart is McCoy on a scale of one to ten. All right. All right guys. So crazy football, smart is one of the smartest coaches I've been around. So it's been really fun to be able to learn from him and be number learned that offense because it's so dynamic. We do so many different things and it's just going to shut me up, you know, for the future as well. Okay. So two questions for you about that offense and how you're going to hit the ground running this year. One is there's a huge question of who's the number two were. Obviously, Larry is locked and loaded, but you've got new freedom, bright spot later. You've got Jay Nelson, you've got you. You know, Chad Williams who who is going to be that number two. I can't really say anything now because you know, we have training camp, you know, we gotta go out there compete, so we're all convenient for, but it's not a, we're all against each other because we all want to see each other succeed in. So we're going to go out and trying to camp and whoever makes the most plays and goes out there and shows consistently that they can be that number two guy than going to get that job. So obviously, that's, you know, Mago mind and you know, I'm gonna go out there and then chase it every day. So I guess the second question and following that up in college, you're more out of the slot than outside, and there's a lot of questions. Are you going to go outside? I know you believe you can go outside. Where do you want to be? Where do you think you are best on the field? Well, I think I'm best inside NS. I played outside all of otas and minicamp, and so just being able to get comfortable out there and just kind of getting familiar with that position and it's not like I can't do it. It's not like I haven't done it before and had a lot of success in many camping, not as so. This laws, nothing new for me. So just meeting over to master playing outside, just makes myself more dynamic possum final question win total for their cardinals. This year. What what you got to hopefully make the playoffs. So that's the goal in mind. We were making the playoffs and we're just gonna take a step by step. Wants to make the playoffs in winning a division championship and then hopefully Super Bowl. So that's our goal in mind. That's a we are working for right now. So almost four. We got a lot of people sleeping on us, and you know, hopefully wicks people. Awesome. Thanks Christian. All right, great to hear from cardinals rookie wide out. Christian Kurt Gibson had the chance to speak with him. And I think what is exciting about Christian Kirk and the cardinals offense is, you know what wide receiver is going to emerge as that second option behind Larry FitzGerald or pass catcher, right, right. Could be Ricky seals Jones that emerges as a real relevant tight end option could be Chad Williams. Last year's early round rookie could be Bryce buck, rice Butler. There are a lot of options be David Johnson, probably, but Christian Kirk, I think it's going to be a slower thing for him. I think he's going to make an impact on special teams and I think you know a couple electric plays here. They're going to get more snaps in the slot and give more opportunities. Agreed. Yeah. "Then he had an okay year. Then he was injured. Then he was traded to a team that had literally passes the ball resigned or young free agents. What did I say traded? Oh, okay. Apologies now he joins a team, a new Team, New quarterback, often injury. There's just a lot of question marks. I think people are are hesitant because the range of outcomes on Robinson are everywhere from, okay, he's he's back. He's great. But how great all the way, too. He's hesitant off the injury. They have other weapons. They're not gonna use them as much as targets down. I think that's the hesitancy. It will just haven't seen anything. Yeah, in Chicago yet. So there's, you know, you've seen everything you need to see about golden Tate. You know exactly what you're getting if he's being drafted around all Robinson. And I think. That's why people are delaying. Yeah, I and I understand that. But at the top of the fifth round or the end of the fourth round, I, I think that's a spectacular pick. It was a couple years ago, but it was fourteen hundred yards and fourteen touchdowns if a in that that was with the bad version of Blake Bortles before he became st- Blake the snake. So this season I got a snake me was paid to be the wide receiver. One. He is the wide receiver one for this team. A head coach from the Andy Reid tree were that I think will have significant improvement to the offense. Allen Robinson. I don't think people should be scared to draft him where he is going not going to reach for him, but where he is going, don't be afraid to draft where where he's going. I would completely agree with that. I mean you, you mentioned the names juju Josh, Gordon, golden tape. Brandin cooks Jarvis Landry. Now, one of those guys is walked and loaded into the wide receiver. One position there's not one of those are just named, you know, is going to be the one for their team, whereas Allen Robinson, you can be sure of that. Fair enough. All right. We are going to extend this podcast just a little bit longer. We had the chance to well, Jason had the chance to talk to cardinals rookie wide receiver, Christian Kirk couple of weeks going and share that interview with you right now. You talking to me. Person. So true story coming into the NFL draft. We pre rank, you know, we're, we're, we're analysts. We analyze every year my number two wide receiver. Apologies number one, but you're, you're still my number two going into the draft. Josh Rosen was my number two kind of tied with Sam darnold. We're from Arizona and I was he couldn't help through the draft when the pair came together. How has it been like working with Rosen so far? Is their chemistry coming there or you work more with Bradford Whitman, where are where have you been working so far in the offseason really good, and we've been able to take a lot of snap together. Josh's would take taken a lot of reps and you know, we've had a previous relationship, so we kind of just kind of picked up, you know where we left off from at least in high school and whatnot. So we've been working out a lot in LA me, Josh have in the off season, but also to throw Chisholm minicamp whenever to get a lot of Rosa Sam and you know, I think that's going to pick up throughout the. Throughout training camp. So I'm excited to just keep going in developing with those guys and get ready for the season. Now you also have a previous relationship with Ricky seals Jones that, correct. So how how's he's kind of one of those sleeper guys for fantasy showed a lot in a few games last year he's, does he look more involved in the offense this year? Is there any insight there? Yeah, I, I definitely think he's going to have a breakout year. Think a lot of people were able to see what he's able to do last season. He shows signs and some games last year, and I think he's only just going to go up from there and then coach McCoy's going to really utilize them because he's a mismatch, you know, not a lot of DB's can cover them, and then it's too fast for some linebacker..

"In terms of rookie production, you know, I'm not sure that his ceiling real real big or real real high, but I think that he will end up being one of the more productive rookies just based on opportunity because they don't have a whole lot there. And then long term I think is upside is is really, really strong. Again in that Cooper Cup Nelson galore spectrum, and you know when Larry FitzGerald retires, I think that he's gonna be. He should end up being a very productive slot receiver, and this should give them a chance to grow with Josh Rosen, kinda like Jared, Goff and Cooper Cup. I think, grew together in their first season. You saw it in the preseason, even with Cooper Cup and Jared Goff. I think that we might see a little bit of that with Josh Rosen and Christian Kirk. This preseason. We also talked last week. I think about Ricky seals Jones after he had his off the field issue. So we talked about the tight end position a little bit there in Arizona. I guess my question at running back, Evan is if there's any place in deeper drafts in your mind for chase Edmunds the fourth round pick for the years on a cardinals out of Fordham, obviously, day of David Johnson chase actually grew up Evan, like less than five minutes from my house here and had an unbelievable college career. I mean his last year I think he got hurt was actually his worst, but he was like, I team American, I think is a freshman. It was crazy. Yeah, leads the patriot league in all time yards from scrimmage. I remember Josh Norris our resident draft analyst who you've had on the show a bunch of times talking about chase Edmunds loves them. Compared to even a Matt forte. I thought he reminded me a little devante Freeman, I love chase Edmunds. I actually didn't have many draft picks in one of my dynasty rookie drafts because I had traded him all the way for veterans trade back into the draft to go get chase Edmunds in the third or fourth round was very happy with it. He's I doubt he's going to be a redraft factor. Of course, barring an injury, David Johnson. But you know, David Johnson's in a contract year, and I mean, I would bet on the cardinals locking him up, but you know, things can go wrong there. Players can get hurt that's running back as one of the most injury propellants positions in all of sports. Maybe the single most injury Pence positions in all of sports, and that can lead to opportunities in the cardinals have pretty much already given chase Edmunds that number two running back position over TJ Logan. Over DJ foster. And I, I have like a little bit of excitement about him. You know, I'm a little bit biased because I really liked him coming out of college and because now he's on one of my dynasty teams that I that I like the most, but I, I really do like chase Edmunds and I'm, I'm excited about him being the number two running back behind a guy entering his contract here. One of the things I'm excited about you talk about it all the time, Evan, you know that we are trying to gather as much information as we can to make as informed decisions as we can. You know, nobody's perfect,.

"Shot con nfl executive vice president of football operations troy vincent and a number of players were also invited to come to new york can be a part of this whole thing eagles defensive end chris long browns quarterback jason mccourty patriots safety devin mccourty patriots wide receiver matthew slater brown's linebacker christian kirk seat were also there they the aisle and giants captain jonathan kosice they they they basically spent a long time tuesday in meeting set the league office talking about how they were going to respond going forward you know they they did what they did last sunday but what are we going to do now going forward jonathan casillas said quote we were basically talking about what we're going to do to move forward how we're going to approach the whole kneeling situation it was a whole bunch of opinions shared there was nothing we decided we're going to do collectively i think it was a very conducive meeting unquote now john mira followed that up with a separate meeting with giants players in his office on wednesday night among the players who were attending that where eli manning and zach de yossi and landon collins and jason pierrepaul evidently what merit told his players he said he requests that we all stand but he's in full support if any of anybody that neels cassia said i noticed the today the denver broncos put out a statement and a message from the denver broncos players i won't read through the whole thing but the the last line of their statement is starting sunday we'll be standing together we heard danny 'em and dole a say in the patriots locker room yes today in i believe based on the talks we've had the plan is that we're going to stand on sunday it sounds as though the league has tried to take up a proactive stance here yet the owners in get the players in talk about where they're going to go going forward and it would appear more and more like you're going to see a lot less of the players kneeling like you saw last sunday starts tonight packers bears we weren't heard aaron rogers for talking about what he and his teammates are expected to do and even urged the crowd to do.
