"New York needs a little bit of everything in my opinion. Except RJ, I think it's straight there. I don't know what they're going to do with Julius Randle. But yeah, I mean, who they should select, I don't know, I still think a point guard is a position of need. All right, tank capacity. I've taken time. Has the thunder select and JD and IV at number four and Jalen Durant at number 12. What are your thoughts? I think that would be a good draft for defender. If they end up getting Duran and ivy, I think that helps them a lot. It'll be a lot of redundancy there with their guards because they have a lot of guards. I mean, from guilt just Alexander to Trey man, to Lou dort, to tail maladies. I mean, Josh giddy handles the ball. I'm probably forgetting somebody like they have a lot of guards, so adding another one is very redundant, but I mean, they weren't good. So, I mean, they're in a position where they need to add as much talent as possible. But I think Durant could help. I think that he could immediately have an impact there because he feels a need for an interior presence rebounding. I think Josh giddy led the team in rebounding. And so I've been praising it for a while. And Josh giddy combination, I think Durant would really, really thrive, getting the easy buckets and dump offs and lives and just, I mean, I think giddy would just make Duran's life a whole lot easier than it was for him at Memphis. All right, two more questions. All right, should the hornets draft Mark Williams or should they package picks 13 to 15 along with Kelly Uber James book night and Gordon Haywood for Rudy Gobert? Whoo, that's a handful right there. That is, that's a tough one. I mean, if you feel like you are close and Rudy Gobert is a difference maker. That's still a lot to give up. I mean, you're giving up two first round picks and two picks in the top 15. Uber, book night last year's first round pick. And of course, you have to throw in Gordon Hayward to make the contracts match. That would be interesting, simply because I think once you give up that much, I think the expectations for Gobert and Charlotte are gonna be over. Through the roof, does that, I don't know where that puts Charlotte. I mean, does that make them a top 14? You're giving up a lot. I mean, that's a tough one. 'cause I still don't know whether Utah is going to build around Gobert or Donovan Mitchell. I mean, the way it seems is like one has to go one won't be there next year. But again, if you're struggling, you feel like you're close and Colbert is going to put you know as a top 14, then I guess it makes sense. But again, that's a whole lot and it's probably just because Google bear makes so much money signed for it was like a quarter of a $1 billion or something like that. So you got to throw in a lot of contracts, but if I'm Charlotte, no, I don't think I would do that. Simply because book night is still young. We love to see him with a younger with a new coach and 13 through 15. No, I wouldn't do that. Sorry. All right, last question. And this is. I don't know, I just read the question to you. Is Christian Brown the new Grayson Allen? I mean, I think that's a lazy comparison because it's like, oh, they're both white. And they're both athletic, and they both can shoot a little bit. So let's just compare, I don't know. I feel like Daryl morey had this philosophy a few years back where he wanted his scouts to do I'm trying to think of the best word. He won a scouts to make comparisons to players. Like if it was a white player, he wanted you to not compare all white players to white players, not compare all foreign players to foreign players. So I think that's a concept that I really enjoy. But I can see the similarities, both are like I said, athletic. They're white. They went to blue blood schools. They can shoot. Shoot really well, but maybe not enough to where you consider them like a sniper and both have like this competitive fire and chip on their shoulder, of course, Brown doesn't have the same reputation as greyson Allen for being like just dirty player. So yes, I can see the comparisons. I think a lot of mocks actually have Christian Brown going to Milwaukee, so that will put him on the same team as Grayson Allen, but again, I see the comparisons. I don't want to call him the new, I don't want to call Christian Brown the new Grayson Allen. But I definitely see some comparisons, but I think there's some other guys that race and now I'm sorry, Christian Brown compares to I think people may think I'm crazy for this, but I saw like a stat based off of measurements and statistics he really compared more to like Tim Hardaway junior than Grayson out. So, but now, I get the question. All right, well, man, that wraps it up. I really, really enjoyed this episode I enjoy answering questions. You know what? I'm gonna keep my word here. "But in 2021 Dan Murphy says Having another talent, in addition to athleticism can pay off like never before. There's a group of athletes that have just become huge social media influencers not so much because they're great on the field or the court because they're really good at understanding how to build an audience on Tiktok or instagram. And those folks stand to make more money than maybe even the superstar athletes. He also thinks that it won't just be the soccer star, the quarterback or the next LeBron James. Finding dollars knocking at the door. There will be a lot of athletes in smaller college sports that stand to make a lot of money, and I think The poster child for that is going to be Sunni Lee, who just won the gold medal for all around gymnastics in Tokyo, But now she can be on the Wheaties box or in the McDonald's commercial and also still go and compete for her school. But it's not all smooth sailing for athletes just like in a game. They'll have to keep from committing fouls. Some of the people that are paying these athletes, her name and likeness purposes probably don't know they're going to send it to 99 attorney Jim Myers says Taxes have to be top of mind for these kids because some of them perhaps for the first time in their lives. I'm going to Oh, boosters and the money they have to spread around or another potential pitfall and schools themselves have rules to Myers worries that some of the universities aren't supporting athletes like they should. I think it's incumbent upon these athletic departments to educate their students on what they can and can't do. And potentially what they should and shouldn't do. But as Dan Murphy points out, universities are still trying to figure stuff out like are they about to see a drop in one of the most important sources of revenue? Donations. I think the one thing that administrators have been most concerned about is that boosters people that might donate funds directly to an athletic department may now try to funnel that money instead to Athletes, and they would lose out on that front. So while Christian Brown goes about preparing for another season, another semester of learning and perhaps a paycheck, or two from a tailgate.

That's his first and the sixth on the dogs, and that'll put Luis Rodriguez, the 66 sophomore from California, on the line, 55% from the stripe this season. 16 of 29. Two points in the game so far tonight, right handed shooter. Free throw is good. Rodriguez only had two points against the dogs two weeks ago, five rebounds. He was one for four shooting. He averages 7.5, and he's the team's leading rebounder at 6.5 boards a game Second free throw barely moves to the Net. Good. Rodriguez, now with four points. It's a 20 to 16 Georgia lead. "Great offers. Georgia and Carolina six. The dogs have not led yet. South Carolina scored the first four of the ball game. Georgia tied it at four and then fell behind 6 to 4. And then the dogs tied it again. It's six p. J Horn. With two quick fouls, however, chucking is out of the game right now. And Andrew Garcia and already scored. I mean, did immediately stepped on the floor and score that guy you know he does he produces when he's on the floor. Got to give him a lot of credit transfer from Stony Brook. Excuse me is not a great job. Tom Green. I gotta tell you one thing, though, this is this is where it really drives you the basketball purist. If you want to see the game played well, you know, there's this love of the three point shot, and I think coaches think Okay, if you shoot the three Well, you know you're going to score a lot of points. You win games. Yeah, it's not always that way between these two teams tonight. There are over eight. Uh, both teams are old aside many games is they're both over four behind the art. You know, you've got to learn that that mid range jump shot is still valuable. It's valuable in this game. And if you could, if you did not down, you know that 10 to 12 to 15 footer. You know it matters and it'll help you. You won't get you on SportsCenter, but it'll help you win games. Georgia with the basketball working into the front court quickly left into the floor Dogs and Red South Carolina in White Gamecocks in his own in a 23 zone, trying to force Georgia toe. Keep taking that three point shot. We get inside the Garcia and he will lay it up from the left side. Right in the restricted zone. Garcia got in deep was able to put it up with the left hand and score. Thank you. Stoney Brook Garcia played against South Carolina in his time at Stony Brook in his second year. With the Seahawks or the Seawolves believe it's stony Brook Carolina with a basketball here is Lawson for three right wing. That's no good foul on the floor on the rebound, Gonna go against the dogs, and you know what? That was only their fourth shot on that possession. That's two on tomorrow. Now. So two starters already with two fouls for the dogs, and we've got 14 26 still to go in the first half tomorrow is going to stay on the floor. 86, Georgia with its first lead. There's Garcia with a steel trying to lobby down deep underneath, and Garcia stepped in front of picked it off dogs with a ball wheeler with a terrific past two tomorrow. I can't finish on the block, but he got fouled, so we'll go to the line. Try to finish there. That's that's good to get to money on the line. It's even better if we'll see the good free throw shooting Toumani as opposed to what we have seen over past few games, but See him. Knock down some knock down some of these free shots there. Camara, just 56%. There's the good to money for his first point of the ball game. That free throw was all net. Tomorrow went three for seven against the Gators and that loss on Saturday. Below 60% but steps up in Barry's A couple there, I got to see didn't even touch the rim. Little that's great dogs with its large lead here, early on it for its 10 to 6, Georgia. Justin Minaya handles the basketball for Carolina. They have subbed in now. Jalen McCreary is playing for his his first game since January, 6th was traveling on the floor. South Carolina will turn it over with the travel. On you can hear Clean shaven, Frank Thomas bellowing from the sideline there in Colombia. He wasn't real happy with that. Well, coach Martin seldom happy did I say I said, I know who did I say? Said Thomas. Frank Thomas. Frank Martin. Yes, it is Frank Martin and his knights season. Frank Thomas. Does those testosterone commercials ball out of bounds under the basket. It's gonna Georgia will maintain the possession. To 13 seconds. Have plenty of time to work here. Fagan fires it in on a lotto tire over the wheeler back to Justin. Tired dribbles with right hand. Six on the shot clock for severe drives down the lane layup. Good off the glass. That's what we're used to seeing from severe. He just split the defense ripped right through it and scored on the lay in and it's 12 to 6 Georgia 13 17 to go Carolina again. Goes down deep. The ball is batted away. Coastguards trapped underneath the basket, Nowhere to go with it, trying to get it over to McCreary and Garcia is just giving him fits under the basket. I think they call the foul of South Carolina. But it looked like Garcia was tipping the ball and they may have hit his arm while he was tipping it to himself. No, he called about, okay. They're giving the ball to South Carolina Carolina will simply inbound it. Gamecocks basketball. Here's Trey Hannibal on the dribble the elbow curls around outside the arc now goes back to costar He ducks under the defender, Mrs Leaner. From 12. Ft. On the rebound is battered up the tunnel to the left. We're just giving him too many opportunities right around the glass, you know, right now, you know. They're not knocking him down, but seven offensive rebounds already Caroline that could turn around any moment 12 to 6, However, Georgia leads by six Carolina with a basketball. Mariah's holding it on the three point line, guarded by Kyra, who starred curls around, floats it up it in with right hand. Good. Inside the free throw line, who starred with his first points of the ball game is now two for six from the field. It's 12 to 8, Georgia by four with the ball. Chire thought about pulling the trigger on the three pulls it down and gives it to Wheeler. Back to Justin. Now he will shoot the three off the rim Far side and Christian Brown back in the game now for Georgia after missing the last two with an injury. And it gets whistle for a foul on the rebound. Welcome back, Chris. Well, Scott, you're right. Seven offensive rebound. South Carolina has the heart to know that. I mean, I just tells you right now how it's going on the defensive glass for Georgia, and that would mean not well. Well, Tom Crean talked with us about the importance of rebounding and in our pregame were already minus four and most of those on the offensive end. Christian Brown blocks a long jumper by South Carolina, but the Gamecocks get the ball back and then missed. A second opportunity. Katie Johnson's in for the dogs. Now, Azaz Andrew Garcia will be called for a charge down the left low block. Yeah, I think the officials just like the motion of that offensive foul in the energy they can put into it and send the ball in the other direction. Well, just calling a regular common foul. I thought that was debatable was to wear that was on the floor. I thought that may have well been inside in the zone who didn't catch a replay. Garcia picks up his follows So Georgia's five on the floor right now, or Katie Johnson and severe Wheeler, Kyrgyzstan, CIA and Christian Brown and now Ted Valentine will call on offensive foul on South Carolina and that will get us into a time out, and that could have been to make good. It may well have been 12 8. Georgia leads by four over South Carolina in Colombia. The foul was on Hannibal for the Gamecocks, and we'll be back for more Bulldogs basketball right after this on the Georgia Bulldogs Sports network. I love.

"After falling down 19 to 8 and trailing by 11 points. The dogs have made five of their last seven shots. Auburn's made only one of its last seven. And Katie Johnson. Chuck really gave the dogs of booth on both its offense and defense about this and leading the dogs right now in points, rebounds and assists. I like that. He's out of the game right now. As it will be Camara, Starks and Wheeler, Horne and Brown on the floor for coach Tom Creen. And Bruce Pearl has Thor And Cambridge. Jamal Johnson. Flanagan as wheeler attacks through the lane sweeps it up over the iron trying that sweeping lay in, but it's sailed all the way over the rim touched down on the right side by offering the dogs will maintain the possession. They're able to keep it. They'll throw it in from the right baseline. Thor to guard the inbounds 6 10 like that wingspan, though out of bounds play right into the paint. Wheeler shot is rejected by Auburn Tigers, often running with Flanagan. He's found on the other end, He left the runner short. Going to go to the line for two shots. There's the dogs starts commits the foul his second and that's the seventh team file before they do a better job protecting around. They block a lot of shit really protect that room that Z that says That's their fifth block. It seems like more than that, but It's always the case. Wheeler clearly had gotten rejected as Flanagan, whose dad is an assistant coach on this Auburn team in the former offering Great West Flanagan Allen, his son knocks down his first free throw the night. And the second one is also good. Those are his first points of the evening left handed foul shooter 25 21, now Auburn with the lead by four. Georgia has not led yet tonight. 7 18 to go higher back in with two fouls for the dog's feet Brown along the left baseline reverse Laing. Good for Christian Brown. He had a full head of steam. He was gonna have his shot blocked that time. Christian Brown with his first bucket 25 23 offered by two with the ball Big Thor to Flanagan curls around down the lane Little floater with one hand good. That's his first field goal of the contest. 27 23 Aubert Dogs get it in deep, quickly tow Christian Brown. He's surrounded by blue shirts. They stripped the ball out of him on the bounce on Auburn takes it away. They try to run it out. Well, if you got your mom called, it could follow that they did get a foul on tomorrow and all that action trying to slow up Auburn's break tomorrow whistle for his first and that's the teams eight. So it's one and one for the Tigers. On the other end with 6 10 £205 freshman JT Thor. Lists. Anchorage, Alaska is his hometown, but played his senior year of high school basketball nor cross Mrs the foul shot rebound saved by Christian Brown for the dogs. Tires got it for Georgia now to wheel her into the left corner. Tomorrow, Long jumper flat, died on the rim rebound. The Thor runs out of bounds and a blocking foul call up tomorrow at half. That's two on two money and that's too bad 6 31 to go. That'll put four back on the foul line for another one in one opportunity. Toumani struggling tonight. He's old for four from the floor, Iet's on only one point so far. That's not not the kind of asked 11.1 rebounds. Yeah. Oh, for four from the floor, one for four from the line, and he goes out of the ballgame with the second file. Andrew Garcia back in Big Thor at the free throw strike for Auburn. This one's going to roll in. Is he missed? Front, another one and one on his last trip. Six points Now in the game for 4 72% foul shooter on that free throw is good. He made him both 29 23 often pushes the lead back up to six. Dog's ball Wheeler on the right wing spacing. Not real good. Kyra and Garcia right around Wheeler. Maybe they're trying to set screens. Ball goes to Cairo in the right corner runs through the lane tries to lay in in from the left side. That's no good Christian Brown for the offense of rebound. There's a foul called on All bird. On the rebound attempt. That's gonna be two foul shots for Georgia's Thor was called for the violation and that's two on him. Three for nine at the line tonight. We gotta knock somebody's down three for 10. Wow, around Mrs badly. Bounced off the left side of the rim. Yeah, my math's not that great, But 30% of the line is not gonna win games for you. Thor checks out. I can pull it back in. We miss another foul shot. Foreign hustles for the rebound. Kick over tow tire for a long three. That's no good again rebound tipped by Horn. Into the backcourt. Wheeler chases it down for Georgia Now, Ted Valentine, one of the officials gonna talk, he blew the whistle They wanted I think there's confusion about the rules clock with the clock reset. Well, they have to because Teddy Valentine blew the whistle like he wasn't sure if that was over and back, and then that was that was never over and back calls. So I mean, the call was correct. Georgia has two inbound it again and we do they throw it into Wheeler in the backcourt quickly gets it into the front side. 5 53 to go in the first half dogs down by six toe over. We haven't let yet Brown, too. Kyra between the circles, dribbles to his left runs in docking bowl on the defensive switch back to Garcia, one on one Garcia to the rack. Way it won't go rebound, talking bullet. Garcia knocked it out of his hands. Christian Brown for three. That won't go rebound. Garcia. Gonna be called for a foul is it collides with Jamal Johnson?.

"About 16 degrees in here, but George has a basketball are shooting. I must have been left in our Christmas stockings because it's not here early on. A long way to go 13 10 on the clock first half state with an eight point lead, However, 15 to 7 Smith Backdoor feed to Stuart Threaded the needle pulls up on the left baseline. Missed the 8 ft or rattles out. McMillan rips it down for the dogs. Wheeler's got It pushes it left. Kamar is going to take a three to deep, no good heel of the rim. Rebound to Stuart were one and out every time no offensive rebounds for the dogs. Nothing offensive on the glass. And quite honestly, nobody there challenging Stuart dribbles head of the key. Now we go to toe Lou Smith, a lot of it to the rim out of the reach of JD and Davis, the 69 transfer from Alabama off his hands. And over the end line. It wasn't really a good pass there, and he was trying to maneuver again under the backboard with the pass and catch it with one hand and stay in bounds. And all of that, and it just Blew up in their faces. They turn it over. 12 34 to go first half state with a lead 15 to 7 dogs have the ball. MacMillan holds it high now pulls it down and distributes to tomorrow left side of the floor. Wheeler's got it drives inside the art. Misses a jumper left the circle. Allowed him to get the foul. But Because what he had to do was stop underneath the basket. Lean back and that allowed the defender to hit him in the back that allowed that you're right. JB on Davis came in the transfer from Alabama. He made the contact on Brown..

Yes, they've never had someone as good as jealous Uggs at that position and in an offense, we're all Mark Few wants to do is push and transition and not getting the ball screens Yep. They're like, he's going to be awesome. That is he is the Prototype of a point guard that you want if what you want to do is push in transition and run ball screens. Yeah, they're I mean, they're they're they're absolutely without a doubt in my mind right now the best team in college basketball. I don't really think it's all that close. Yeah. I told I was on the realgm radio Podcast off like 3 hours ago. And I said that if they get past Baylor next week there go. I think they're going to run the table because they're just a monster and he was like Wow holyshit and I was just like no, it's like not even close how good they are. It's like not even it's it's they're so much better than they've ever been this year round. They beat that Kansas seem like it says that they won that game by 12 that was not a 12-point game. That was a fucking beating in the second half was an absolute beating like with those last ten minutes that they played against Kansas were just lights out in such an unbelievable way and then they just absolutely murdered Auburn and I don't think Auburn's terrible like look Auburn is it off? Doesn't have sharife Cooper right now, which is a problem. But like I don't know if they're going to get Theresa Cooper either it seems like but man, that's an athletic team and there was no slow in this skins track him down at all. Yeah, my my hottest take is that Kansas still like really good and all that happened was they ran into a Gonzaga team? That is just an absolute buzzsaw wage. I think Kansas is a little bit better offensively than what I think people realize. Yeah, especially when they go like if they're going with this this five garlic and if Christian Brown is actually as good as he's he's kind of liked it. I feel so far one of the the field of 68 podcasts and he was like Christian Brown is the guy that you need to keep an eye on he's going to be our break up later this year..

"Game day Saturday with really Ritter and Eric g all right back with you on this last game day Saturday show of the basketball season with it being the last regular season weekend. The big drought tournament gets underway next week and today TCU playing at Texas at eleven o'clock Baylor in Lawrence to play the rock joggers at one Texas Tech at Ames play Iowa State. Also at one oh you at Kansas state at five o'clock. Yeah, that's on ESPN two and on ESPN news at three o'clock, West Virginia at Oprah Homa state. And remember this is a team that always you beat at the very beginning of the season. Course, it was a much different roster for Oklahoma state. They've sent ahead to kick three guys off of the team for being incredibly. Do you bid? And as Ron white says, you can't fix stupid, but those three guys all charged with various crimes involving taking a BB gun and shooting up some cars and some apartments in Stillwater. Just amazing that that would happen. But the Cowboys with that short handed roster have really played fairly. Well, when you consider that. And of course, just the other night they beat the Baylor bears in Waco. They've played a lot of teams very very close a BTC. You instill water. They almost beat the Kansas jayhawks. They're playing West Virginia today west Virginia's played better than they had. They've played fairly decent recently. But they're still just four and thirteen in the big twelve conference same as OSU the winner of this game today will then be the ninth seed for the big twelve tournament. The loser. Will be ten is Eric, and I talked a moment ago. Whoever loses this game, we'll play Oklahoma in the big twelve tournament. The winner of this game. We'll play TCU. And I certainly think OSU has a good chance to beat West Virginia today in Stillwater if they can hold things together. And then if they play TCU in Kansas City, I like to have a decent chance to win that game to they're almost BTC who in Fort Worth they did beat TCU and Stillwater I think it'd be a great finish to the season for the Cowboys to somehow having beaten Baylor, then beat West Virginia. Then win a game in the big twelve tournament to give them some momentum rolling into next season. When that recruiting class comes in. It's already got three four star guys and a three star guy and perhaps another four star guy Christian Brown. For Oak Hill academy in Virginia was on the Stillwater campus lab. Last week for the K U game. He was pretty excited about what he saw his mom even got involved. You know, they dress up put recruits in the uniform, you know, that they that they want to wear well his mom put on a uniform as well. And they seem pretty fired up about it and Mike Boynton instead of coming back to Stillwater after that win over Baylor. The other night got on a private jet and flew to Virginia to seek Christian Brown in a game that he was playing at kids a four star guy. Six six small forward. And one of the experts on the National Basketball expert on twenty four seven sports predicted on Friday, the Christian brownwood, indeed commit and sign with Oklahoma state. We're also working on Isaiah Todd the five star guy and Julia's marble from the Dallas Fort Worth area a four star guy. Todd right now in the twenty twenty class. Trying to get over to twenty nineteen Cowboys style have to scholarships in this class because of the defections and the kids that have been kicked out there hoping to get Christian Brown at least, and maybe one of those other guys first of all can the mom play. She probably could why not I mean. See safe. She can help they see if you can get her this year as a late add if she has any eligibility left and worry about the sun next year. I think you have to look at this. Oh, Oklahoma state team as a bunch of overachievers at this point considering everything that happened in a may not be the year that anybody in Stillwater one eight although going into the season if they had their full allotment there were a lot of people thinking it was going to be an uphill climb. Anyway. But you you just reeled off enough wins that this team has had this year with like five players on the entire team in some dudes from the fight Kappa sigma house who've come down and played. It may have been from the waffle house. That that is an over achieving bond trite. And honestly, just speaking strictly, I if I'm oh, you that's probably the last team. I want to see in the first round of the big twelve tournament because OSU still has a lot to play for if somehow they could beat oh, you nocco you out of the NC double A tournament. That would be a great way to in your season except they don't wanna play. Oh you in the big twelve tournament. They do not wanna play. Oh, you, but you know, why? Because if they're playing, oh, you it means they got beat by West Virginia today. They would much rather play TCU. Would mean they wanted today. True. But all things you want to. Here's why don't they? Here's why I don't think that's going to happen guiding west Virginia's given up on this season. When I saw them down in Norman that team looked listless after about the first five minutes of that game. Once it starts going south for West Virginia. That's a team that has a tendency to play a radical. They don't seem like the very end of the game. They're not they're old cells, which is probably the biggest shocker and watching them. You don't see them aggressively press the way that they used to. And that's defense. Just. L? I don't really even try that. Because if you're not really good with the press, you can be burned pretty easily. If you don't have the right guys doing that. But anyway that game is today at at three o'clock at Gallagher AIBA and by the way before the game they're going to honor the OSU golf team. They're gonna unveil the banner for the national championship the golf team wanted. It'll be the fifty second national championship banner that will be hanging inside Gallagher AIBA arena for various sports of it. As you also get it OSU. That's just simply called a Saturday. There you go and also today here actually just a little while the big twelve wrestling tournament begins up to be okay center. OSU six of their ten wrestlers are number one seeds going into that wrestling starts at ten o'clock. So here just a little bit up at the be okay center in Tulsa and spring football in Stillwater begins on Monday. It'll be interesting to see Sean Gleeson and action the offensive coordinators Spencer Sanders will won't be he'd be the starting quarterback. Everybody assumes he will. But all that get started Monday. And so on. All right. We're bumping up on a break. When we come back, we'll wrap things up and a special shout the affiliates along the Owen in our some of our special sponsors will do that. When we come back. This is game day Saturday on the.
