What's The Real Tea on Celebrity Beauty Brands?
"I think it's time to dive into our topic of the day and it's all about the real behind the latest celebrity brands that have come to light in the last year and i feel like in the last six months. It's been like every other day. You're seeing a celebrity step to get their piece of the beauty pie so in the last month even we've had covey skin debut in. That's from that model emily. Dj auto Haven't tried that yet. Gene are just confirmed to wall street journal Yesterday that she has a skincare line coming. Hebrews filed the trademark for road. It goes on and on and on fantasy harris dropping soon if the internet is to be believed and yesterday kris jenner and chrissy teigen launched a whole personal care home line of cleaning products. So it just doesn't stop so Why do you think this deluge of launches his happening right now. We would discuss day because we feel like celebrity brands was such a huge thing years ago when they will launching fragrances right and every snaps had a fragrance so like the thing to do and just kind of went silent i think with the rise of influences and influence a marketing and i guess people feel like they can trust influences. Moreover celebrities and mike percy kind of celebrities want a taste of that now they want to put the names backout. They still want to be the authority on beauty in general. I guess so. I think as far as skincare goes it seems such a surge in popularity especially over the last year of locked down and people wanting to expand with skin moon. I felt like everyone was of the pie.

BECCA Cosmetics Is Closing And Fans Are Losing It
"Cosmetics is going out of business which is wild. 'cause buttocks is like been in sephora. For years they have. They are innovators in product. I feel like they make this. They make color correcting and under eye. Brightening little tubs of conceal ary stuff. That i've learned about makeup artists over the. It's in a little pink jar and it's an breitner and all my friends have it because of me like my mom uses it like. They have innovative products. They were really big and their partnerships of hill. Her champagne papi pilot error was like so frigging famous. I just if you had told me to pick a cosmetic brand that was going to be going out of business during covert. I would never have guessed becca cosmetics and and guess i so i was thinking. Oh maybe they'll just be bought by like a bigger company but it turns out they actually were bought by estee lauder like three years ago or so and estee lauder has just decided to shut them down. they're not profitable. They're citing cova reasoning. Why but like. I think it's like actually a done deal because remember years ago when hostess snacks went out of business and then five minutes later some other. The Art Of Showing Up For Yourself By Kathy Robinson
"Living a mosaic life cathy robinson of athena wellness dot com. I recently had a conversation with christie mclean a multimedia documentarian coach and global advocate. Who shared an alternative approach for those who may have felt frustrated by past well-meaning career advice to follow their passion chrissy recommends welcoming all interests into your work by exploring activities you enjoy and creating a values aligned portfolio when she was creating her own portfolio many years ago and exploring themes running through her numerous passions. She asked herself this question. Are there ways you can connect your passions in unusual in creative ways so you don't walk around feeling splintered and fractured but instead make a beautiful mosaic of all these different things. I love the idea of mosaic career. In fact i love the idea of mosaic life. The word mosaic means to use tiny parts to create a whole image or object but the word originates from a greek term meaning to muse in other words to reflect or meditate to be absorbed in thoughts to wonder in dream. I applaud those. Who know what they want to do early in their lives. And never waver from that path for the rest of us a mosaic life is such a gentle approach that takes the pressure off of finding that one thing a mosaic like a puzzle suggests play if feels like a wonderful invitation to allow our imaginations to wander amongst the things we love and welcome all the pieces of ourselves the broader and more diversified the better if a mosaic approach sounds intriguing. I recommend a three part process that found to be effective gather curate and connect number one gather. Does the fun part where you get to collect. All of your interests can be like clues or insights in the form of words values images sayings lyrics poems or quotes. You can recall a time when you felt a sense of meaning and got lost in time. Maybe there are favorite books blogs movies podcasts or just times when you felt moved by something or someone the things on your list don't need to make sense nor do they need to have the potential to earn money. They just need to be things that stir you in some way number to curate. Next highlight the items on your initial list that you feel completely drawn toward at this time you can keep the full list for later reference but for now will down your list as if curated an art collection creating space can be to honor and work with the items that are most enticing and number three connect lastly think of the type of life he liked to live or continue living which may include how to be of service or provide value in a new way with that as a backdrop begin to look for themes in your curated less does may take experimentation over time to shape tinker and make some order out of the list. Here's to put all of this into action. Select one thing from your list and take a small step toward it. You can do some research or schedule a bit of time to be in that space with all your heart. Did he is to spend time doing something that increases your energy allows you to lose yourself for a bit and makes you feel great. Once you're done. You may find as i do that. If you do this routinely your mood will get you naturally begin to spend more time doing the things you love. It doesn't happen overnight but the more you enjoy this time. The more the sacred space you're creating will expand has will your ability to become the mosaic assist of your life journal reflections if money time and family support were no object. How would you enjoy spending your time each day. What is the one thing. You'd like to spend time doing for the pure enjoyment of it. How about you take one step toward
Huawei unveils flagship foldable smartphone for China market
"Have another foldable phone. This one from wall way. Sarah tells all about it all right away. The made x. two which now holds the screen inside like the samsung galaxy. Fold rather than wrapping around the outside when you close it while we added a second six point. Four or five inch led ninety. Heard screen to the made to for you to use. It is folded. The inside foldable screen is eight inches. Twenty four by twenty display and the company says the mate x has less of an internal gap so it folds flatter than the galaxy full. So they're obviously making comparisons there. The screen folds into a waterdrop shape at the hinge when closed to prevent chrissy and and also breaking the made two launches but the android ten based. Em ui eleven. No google services but while we says it will be. One of the first device is upgraded to harmony os. That's always us in april. The made extra comes to china on february twenty fifth for seventy thousand nine hundred ninety nine one which is about two thousand seven hundred eighty five. Us dollars the announcement was conducted in mandarin nod. In english as is as it was in previous announcements and facts while we may run out of parts in q to even one if us trade restrictions do remain in place. Nick asia reported last week. That always told suppliers smartphone component orders would-be sixty percent lower than last year. Yes on the one hand we we see wah wah moving over to samsung's form factor On the other hand they are touting unimproved hinge that they say well. We've moved there because we've made it better but outside this is obviously targeted only domestically in china and We it's a question of even how many they could make to sell in china. Trevor have you been paying attention to this. Yeah i mean. I think if you're running out of chips the navy a good strategy would be to put out a phone. That's this expensive. You know you're not gonna sell now. Granted they they've probably been working on this for years but like that's going to help like how many people are going to spend twenty eight hundred dollars on a folding fund but it puts wall in a position where they're innovating on this new form factor. And personally. I think that the the full actually works really well. Because you don't have that sort of lopsided gap that you do in other foldables while way is playing out the clock here. They're they're hoping they can find a way out of this and they just wanna keep making models. They sold off on her but they do not want to sell off while way itself which would be the only other way out of this but if the. Us doesn't budge. Which doesn't look like it's going to. I'm not sure how long they can go. Obviously not longer than q two if things stay exactly the way they are now. Well the the foldable itself looks pretty nice guy. I didn't watch the entire announcement again in mandarin but the subtitles. I can follow along pretty well but it does look at least you know when someone standing on stage telling you about specs. It looks to be very nice When it's you know when it's when it's being used in tablet form You got a nice little eight inch screen when you've when it's when it's folded but you can still use it as a phone kind of block easy but i think for anyone who's like yeah but i have multiple devices and one that makes sense. It does seem pretty sturdy. One thing i did like about it was that they said that it was waited on one side and it reminded me a lot of the e-readers in adel put more weight on. What side because it's a more natural way to hold the device when you're holding it open so i think that's something that hopefully other foldables will adopt. Because they're sort even because they're trying to distribute the parts evenly across the
Chris Harrison 'stepping aside' from 'The Bachelor' after controversial interview
"The bachelor is now looking for a permanent replacement to chris harrison to host the show exclusive. You're not gonna hear this anywhere else so. Chris temporarily stepped down from the show or so he thinks but insiders tell me he might never come back. Get this sifford. At weird's is well. I've got a really good explanation for it so source ocal remember tom bergeron and dancing with the stars before the racist incident. Abc had decided that chris was a little tarnish that had been on the show for over a decade. Another white gentleman on tv. Times have changed so they will already looking for somebody younger. Maybe a person of color maybe a female they were looking for options for a potential new hosts they did. They did this to tom. Tom did not know this was coming. So basically they're looking for another tyra banks now. I know tyrus controversial on on this show. We really debated tyra. I worked for tyra. So i know her but it took me a moment to love on dancing with the stars. But you can't deny there's a lot more birds on dancing with the stars and the ratings which is really old aka robots. The rates have gone up so looking for a tire type. You some of the names that have been bouncing around the halls at is tyrod is tara. Banks should be. But i think she's got a handful on dancing with the stars but it is it. Abc show so she could do these names. I'm hearing chrissy. Teigen is somebody they really like. I think christie has a relationship with nbc. So that's tricky. Another name on hearing within the abc family is antony and discern. I love him. Always a lot of fart ria from blache i mean but but he too like didn't he have some type of scandal back in there was something there. I don't remember it off the top of my head by get see that being assured trusting another name too and they love him. Abc michael stray ham. They really love him and he certainly charismatic. And when you think love. I could see him not as the bachelor is not handing roses but he's a trick host and get this. This names are very interesting. Name rachel lindsay i. She was the very first. In fact. I think the only other black bachelorette and she's the one who spoke to chris who interviewed chris. And that's where this whole controversy started now. Rachel says she's done with this. She's done with the franchise. She has a couple of more events to do and then she's contractually free of them and she wants to move on but that was before her name popped up to replace him of course.

This is a movie about two cops played by of all people in washington and rami. Malek in search of someone they think is a serial killer in nineteen ninety los angeles and this guy that they focused on is played by my guest today. jared leto. Who usually gives them a run for their money in terms of letting them twist in the wind deciding whether his character is guilty is he. A serial killer is he not. I've got to tell you jared that this is one of my favorite performances of yours. It's it's like a co lassic kind of movie villain that we don't know if he's guilty of what he's accused of but we know is guilty of something definite strange character but he has humor is playful. He's all those things that make you remember character. So did you feel when you first read the script. No i said what is this. I don't wanna do this. I is was actually buy those my response. I thought you know. Maybe i should explore different territory. You know. I played a kind of than the darker side of the moon. A bit and You know. I thought maybe this wasn't the right thing to do And then after talking to john lee. Hancock and i realized that there there could be an opportunity. Here's he seemed really open. I said if we're going to do this together. I'd like to to to kind of use it as an exercise in transformation to to really try to sculpt this this this wild man albert's pharma Into something quite unlike anything. I'd done before so he seemed really game And the prospect to working with denzel washington one of my heroes and then rami malek in the mix. It was just couldn't say no. And what i love about you. Working with them is that yes albert. Your character trump really tries to drive the both of them crazy and with a kind of zen deadpan. That you have yourself you know. There's i don't want to say there's a little of you albert but there's there's some of it in. Yeah sure i've been. You know you you take parts of yourself. Other people Experiences that you've had and you kinda just build this collage you know i it with. Albert's parma was head to toe from the walk to the voice. I had different color is different knows different teeth. I had some other prosthetics different way of carrying myself and it was quite exciting to put this guy to life and to really take risk and push things right up to the edge And hopefully not crossover into absurdity But yeah he is a bit An un unwittingly unknowingly zinn. He is the voice of like maybe a soothing yoga teacher or something does. There's one i don't want to spoil any platt detests. But there's one point where they both taking you to the police station in la. It's an interrogation room and the phone rings and albert says is that for me. You know quite a quite innocent with it. It's that kind of thing that he's open to sort of any moment until he's ready to spring with something that will make denzel crazy. Sic chrissy i. there's nothing more fun than you know. antagonizing the other characters in the film and for spar he knew he uses that as a tool a likes to keep people off balance off center and humor is one of the ways that he does it and it was quite fun to show on saddened to bring all kinds of different Ideas for ad libs and improv and John lee hancock was amazing. Because you know he was the writer as well but incredibly generous with the opportunity to improvise ad-lib and he really just let me go to town. Would you haven't worked with denzel rami before right. No no no. I had an an. I didn't know them Either and i mean what was kind of fun as well as that didn't do any rehearsal like for the interrogation senior talking about that was the first scene with all three of us and the first big seen it was quite intense and intimidating Exciting there was a lot of pressure and it was explosive on sad. It was it was there. Were fireworks going off. It was really exciting to get in the ring with those guys. Everyone came prepared. I think we all knew there was an opportunity there and we all took advantage of it. Well you know all you have oscars so now. Nobody can ask you to do anything. You don't wanna do right. You just hold that thing up. You can take it with you that day. You want you could certainly a casa damage with it It is a you know. Denzel washington said the other day. You know trophies the they it's like when you're a prizefighter that the belt you won the last times not going to help me this time in the ring and Is true you know you you. It's beautiful thing to be acknowledged and winning the oscar. Was you know. An unforgettable highlight of my life and share that with my family and my friends and supporters Through my life was a really special thing. It doesn't help you when you're sitting opposite denzel washington and you've got to

Interest continues to grow in inaugural poet Amanda Gorman
"It's thursday wad squad and today we're celebrating an overnight success the poet. Amanda gorman who stole the show at the inauguration last week was just announced as a performer at the super bowl fifty five pre show in february not the halftime show. But you'll be reading original poem before the game which will be in tampa florida gorman also signed with i m g models this week which represents people like kate moss and chrissy teigen so giddy. I just wanna make an observation here. I feel like we didn't have breakout. Celebrities like this under trump. But can you think of any. We didn't have breakout celebrities like this but we certainly have. We certainly had some breakout celebrities. One guy mike lindell of my pillow. Dan bongino facebook and whatever else he does. There were there were there. Were some i don. They weren't of the. How shall we say caliber magic orbit. But i think that there there. There definitely were New celebs as it were that we had to contend with. Perhaps i think that's right. I think that there's like you know people who popped up for a variety of different reasons but not necessarily because we were all like yes. This is good and they are like the situations even when there were good people. I feel like the situations around them. We're not necessarily the best so it's just yeah all right. I guess. I'll take dan bongino as an answer guy who i. I'm assuming he has a podcast because he's angry white man. I feel like that. I can top hobbies for that type correct correct. Yeah i think he does and to me. The real gauge of amanda success is going to be when she beats his facebook post like when she starts when we look at those weekly facebook posts. And it's not all dan one through ten then. We'll know that she's i'm aged terribly. It is now much much older cares baseball.
Hilaria Baldwin secretly enjoying all the attention
"Big exclusive at the top of the show ilaria baldwin. Who's on the cover of the newspapers and get a lot of attention for her somewhat somewhat complicated background a secretly loving all the attention our sources tell nia this is a dream come true for ilaria. She's loving every moment of it. She's always wanted to be famous. She married alec baldwin and is assisted over the years that she is from spanish heritage. However now it's come forward on social media that her name is not ilaria. It's actually hillary and she was born in boston. And now she has confirmed this one source actually told me she is reaping what she would. What do you think about this crazy story. Lauren a people are acting like she's rachel dollas all which is not really fair right like she's not she's not doing that. I don't know. I did meet her once on a red carpet and i thought she was extremely lovely. I was also very distracted by her instagram story. Because she looked so beautiful when up. I was like wait. What are you saying okay. Now i've met her a few times as well as she really is. Actually very very nice. I'd love to be able to tell you. She was awful but she wasn't really applied very very kind. I know people that have worked with are extra. She was a correspondent over there and they just loved her now he embarrassing and the whole thing is very awkward. And i think we've all all emphasized different parts about our past. It takes a lot to actually become really proud with who you are either. I damaged my arm. When i was little and for a long time i would give different stories about how it happened and the reason i did that is just not comfortable having a damaged arms on giving her a little bit of the benefit of the data but as you said no crimes have been committed. She wasn't raising money claiming that she was a spaniard. So this is embarrassing. It's silly i'm not quite sure why she did it. But i did think here. We can be a little a little kind about it. What do you think. I agree one hundred percent. She is a very sweet woman. I it's funny. You say she loves the press. "Today. I am so happy to be joined by my friend. Chrissy stroup Chrissy is a leader in the movement of those raised in evangelical traditions and are now leaving their churches as the editor of the book. Empty the pews stories of leaving the church. She brought together the personal powerful stories of twenty-six former evangelical who left their religious upbringings and the challenges. They faced a pew report out. Today says that in the past seven years the number of Americans who don't belong to an organized religion has grown by nearly twenty million evangelical remain an important demographic group for politicians the percent of Americans who identify with any religion has been on the decline who support Donald Trump. Have backing is without question. How does that Puritan stunt sit alongside the one time twenty percent on White Evangelicals for Donald Trump at twice divorced candidate accused of extra marital fares? Stars these are some of the greatest leaders they would love to pray. A Reverend Steve. Young Blood Basically wants to slap a war with him that don't won't bore emerged as almost sexual mentor. Leader at shared with some of my closest friends hoping they'd give me some wisdom instead they just went straight to the rules. They said being gay is a sin. And you can't accept it not accept my daughter. What does that even mean? One day you will grow up and you will realize you can leave all of this. Hi I'm Christie stroup. I'm a transgender. Ex jellicoe sorry not sorry so you and I first met on twitter. I think around two thousand seventeen shortly after the election. Your Twitter Bio Reids X. Evangelical Writer and Russian History PhD Trans Girl and sometimes snark Easter. I'd like frito briefly. Tell us a little bit about your childhood. Where did you grow up? What was your childhood like so I grew up mostly in north suburb of Indianapolis called. Fisher's was born a small town in Northern Indiana. But my family moved down there When I was around five years old and after kindergarten and with the exception of half of sixth grade I was in Christian schools the entire time of my elementary and secondary education. And when I say Christian school I don't mean a Jesuit Academy or something like that you know the The schools that call themselves Christian schools or Christian Academy's they're usually more like the ones where second lady Karen Pence teaches art where they're very anti. Lgbtq or they mobilized the kids for doing culture wars kind of advocacy and involvements. Illiberal civics if you will so you know. I had a drilled into my head in church and Christian schools from a very early age that liberals are these horrible people who kill babies and we have to stop them and we also have to stop gay people from having rights. Can you talk a little bit? About the history of Evangelical Ism sure the Histories of Evangelical Ism that have been written a lot of them have been written by people who come out of the more like moderate to liberal tradition evangelical right if somewhat sympathetic to it and they want to locate the origins of Evangelical Ism and things like the second grade awakening in the abolitionist movement. And it's true that a kind of evangelical protestantism was a motivating factor for the abolition of slavery in Britain and the United States. But that's not really the ancestor the direct ancestor of what we call evangelical protestantism or what it has mostly become in the United States today. If you WANNA look at what evangelical ISM is in the United States today. And here we're talking mostly about white evangelical. There are some evangelical of color that would also fall into this category but there are also some Christians of color that some people would call evangelical somewhat not someone self defined as evangelical than some would not clear very different and they vote very differently. But you know this right mostly white evangelicalism. It's the descendant of slaveholders Christianity. It's you know the descendant of denominations involved is still all these denominations as well like the Southern Baptist Convention which split off of other Baptists over the issue of slavery because you know these northern Baptist groups decided that they didn't want they didn't think slave owners should be missionaries what became the Southern Baptist Convention. Thought that was very insulting so they broke away so they could have missionary owned slaves. And you know this is also seriously inflected through the Cold War anti communism and in American history that's really inseparable from the civil rights. Movement are far right-wing anticommunist they denounce Martin Luther King as a communist that sort of thing and you know initially people like Jerry Falwell senior. Who of course built the moral majority you know he? He mobilized Christians around opposition to civil rights legislation and integration and today evangelical. Who are still very much in that tradition They try to distance themselves from that history but it is their history and my history too. I mean I grew up that way and they still vote to uphold white supremacism. Even if they won't admit it and there's another key moment there too that I sort of forgot to go over earlier. Which is there. Were these debates in theology in the early twentieth century between the so-called modernists. Who are able to move away from Biblical liberalism and the fundamentalists and this is actually where the term fundamentalists came from. There is a series of pamphlets published starting in Nineteen fifteen called the fundamentals and today's evangelical are also very much the descendants of the fundamentalist side of those early twentieth century debates so evangelical in the United States. It's best to consider the type of fundamentalist Christianity even if some evangelical fundamentalists would define themselves against each other. If we take a step back and look at it through kind of a scholarly framework. It's it's very much a variety of Christian fundamentalism. I wanted to get a better understanding of really what your life was. Like as an evangelical Christian. Can you describe that to me? I mean were you happy yeah. That's a complicated question. And the kind of things that happen to you. When you end up rejecting the ideology when you change politically and religiously from your family and a high demand religious group and a thorough -tarian religious group like this. You know people will accuse you of quote unquote attacking everything we stand for a direct. I heard from multiple relatives of mine. They will accuse you of hating your entire childhood but I did not hate my entire childhood and they don't hate my entire childhood. Now I also definitely didn't get the worst of Evangelical Ism so as we now know there was a big expose. I think over seven hundred cases as far as I recall last year. Were exposed of child sexual abuse and cover ups in the Southern Baptist Convention. You know that didn't happen to me I. I didn't get the worst kind of corporal punishment. The worst guy was being spanked with a wooden spoon. But corporal punishment is highly emphasized and Evangelical Communities Spare the Rod and spoil the child and all that and any fundamentalist group they create these kind of parallel institutions and structures this whole parallel society alongside mainstream American society. So they look at outsiders as quote unquote the world. That's the phrase that they use. The world is scary. You're supposed to kind of go into it. Sometimes and convert people but most of our social life was people we knew through church and Christian school and so I was isolated that way and then they also build up kind of a whole system of as I said parallel institutions and even publishing houses books a Christian music industry this sort of stuff to reinforce a set of alternative facts if you will and to kind of expose and highlight that a couple years ago I coined the Hashtag Christian facts to look at the kinds of alternative facts that children raised in. This environment are indoctrinated with you. Know things like the Loch ness monster might be real. And that's more proof that humans and dinosaurs lived at the same time you know. There's a lot of really really really wild stuff. Some of it has much more well. Maybe just differently problematic implications and that I mean once you start to get into things like purity culture and what I like to call fake sex. Ed they tell you things like you know. Condoms can't stop the AIDS virus. Abortion causes breast cancer and lots of other stuff that's just completely made up all across America and Canada and Western Europe very sweeping being anew craze among teenagers it's called Lovin. They've had one in Toronto. Recently they had one in Montreal now. The one in Toronto was quite harmless. The one in Montreal got a little bit out of hand. The police had to come in but in some parts of the Western world. They've become six oranges so you almost grew up in a bubble in a sense..

"chrissy" Discussed on Minor Adventures with Topher Grace
"Guy. Minor ventures with tofu grace. We're back. So Chrissy Chrissy Matt's is one of your friends, and you guys worked together. She is the coolest, I chose this terribly hard thing for her beat boxing. I thought she'd be terrible. At turns out, she was amazing. Spoiler in this episode. She is unbelievable. And I am terrible. And that is my just as our it's for picking such hard thing for her to do. Let's get to that in a second before we get to that toe for one quick housekeeping note. So we have about six or seven weeks before we launch into season two and during that time we're not going to go dark. In fact, we have don't you tell us what we have. Well, every time that I have a friend in here of mine, we wind up spending forty fifty minutes gabbing about whatever and then we just pick kind of choice ten minute section to play before the adventure. So in the next six weeks, we're gonna play these extended conversations which you'll feel like you are in the room with us. And it's a lot of fun. And I really, really think you're gonna like a lot of these. I love catching up with these people. And, you know, you hear a little bit of it at the beginning of each episode, but I think we'll have kind of two guests per episode. We'll be able to hear kind of everything we talked about. And then in six weeks, we're gonna season two amazing gas amazing adventures, and I don't wanna give anything away, but the adventures are getting bigger and crazier. And I'm worse at them. All right. Let's get to Chrissy Mets. I remember a story you told me when you started out, are you down to doing? It was. Yeah. So one of my first gigs when I when I moved to LA was, I booked, a small co-star role on entre. I think it was the second season. Right. When it was hit and righto Harz. It was an entourage world. Yeah. Everyone wanted to be either on it -ffiliated with it, whatever and to do a co star and then to know that James Cameron was who I was going to be remembered. I literally almost be that was the peak of that show. Thing James cameras, actually, on it and he'll you in. So I was, you know, it's like you're, you're coming into someone's home and you're like I can't really make myself comfortable, but I have to be comfortable enough, and it was just so stressful. And I remember I could not get my line out to save my life. And, and the guy who plays turtle, Jerry Jerry, just Jerry. He was like, what's the hold up? And I was like. Yeah. And I was like, oh, that's rough. I think generally speaking to me, and I was like he was generally saying, what's. Yeah. She say her line and try not to internalize it all. Because then, like you get really in your head. And then you keep f and up. And then it's like I'm never gonna work in this town again. And this first job, there's not an actor who hasn't had this, where I don't think people realize who aren't in acting. There's like two hundred people on the crew in the lights and everything set. And then this is the worst. They say like to get that little Slade thing. They say on a bell, and everyone gets quiet. Everyone looks at you. Yeah. Especially if it's one of your first times, I mean and what I dish in with was not the same thing. They gave me the day of. And so, of course, I will never forget the line. But I kept plugging it in James was like, I gotta hear what is Mr Cameron was the sinking of the ship and attempt to foreshadow the forthcoming singing of tech market in two thousand okay? That's tough, first of all, it's got a little Sally seashells thing going on. It's a tongue. Twister. I mean no fence. Whoever wrote that. But like. Who talks like that stuff to think about? And then James Cameron, and he was like I couldn't get it a couple of times, and then I had to take my cue off of somebody else moving..

"But I thought it was likely less. She had no idea. I always say didn't you see me wearing my football like deflects and wears jersey. I never noticed. Sorry. Never know. Shed no interest. We got put next to each other in class because I was talking to my boyfriend all the time he was talking to his girlfriend all the time. So that's how we got to know each. I had a girlfriend in the class. She had a boyfriend and the same clock in the same clothes. Oh my God. We, but we're always got in trouble talking. So they put us in the back. Also, they like separated. Yeah. Is four teacher was inspired. Yes. It is the class was actually is Mary seminary seminary. It was all. And so we sat in the back. And but honestly like the coolest part about it is that like we started that whole year. We didn't date till the end that did I'd start thinking that's legal by town. How old I was. And how she was. Wait fifteen eighteen sixty nine was just yet. That's not good. So, you know. Your friend. Coolest part about it is like for one year we were in this class together. And we sat in the back of the room and are boyfriend and girlfriend the time we're in different areas, and we talked and laughed and she write me notes, and we would write back. So like, we really started our pen pals miles from across the way, you know, what I mean? But like need one time so much. So that my girlfriend the time was like you like that Chrissy Ellington girl, and I'm like, Chrissy Ellington. She's like my little sister for like. Yeah. She always says, but I mean, but that's I think been the best part about us being twenty one years of marriage is like we are started as best friends like a really good friends, and I think as much as we work together. Now like, we would never make it. If we didn't have like this long history of like being like, really good like best friends. So basically to answer your question. We both grew up in Mesa. Arizona. So the podcasts is over. Signing off. Okay. Perfect. So how long so you dated in high school then for a little bit? I mean, not really. And that's the whole thing is, you know, I was getting ready to go to college. And that was then going to go on a mission for our church. I had that all planned and she's in high school, and I really loved ice school. Like had lots of good friends. I dated a couple of every not everyone. I'm very picky as you can see I'm very picky but dated around and like an I knew Chrissy like I knew that every guy liked her. And so like, but I go to her house and hang out the phone be ringing nonstop. You're gonna mean like a boys calling. I'm like come on, you know, but I'm never really for the most part not the jealous type. So it's like I just lived with it. And I kind of like, okay. So I'm going to go to college which I went away for a semester, but she's a junior now junior. She didn't turn sixteen to August. Going into junior year. Zillow's you come home from college to go to dances with me. All my friends. My friends gave me the hardest time and all of them married girls younger than Chrissy. You know what I mean? But the time they were like young girl..

But we back in business. I'm Chelsea I'm am the brunette one and we'd like to clarify because our voices sound very similar if you're new podcast. You're probably wondering why it'd be think this is one person who has kids affronting, but it's two separate girls. So hopefully that clarifies things for you guys today, we have a very special guest Crecy, Rasmussen otherwise known as hair by Chrissy on Instagram. Chrissy has done my hair for years, even before I mean, she still she did social media when I started, but she has really taken off yet taken off since she's been doing we're here for years and years, and she is the only person, I trusted touch my hair. She is basically the hair Queen I go to her with any hair questions. I have she's always done an amazing job at my color. Mike cuts and making sure my her's always been healthy. And so a lot of people don't actually know this. I'm not a natural redhead. I'm actually more of a natural brunette with kind of Auburn hints in my hair, but the red she does on the hair looks so natural that no one even believes me when I tell them, I dye my hair docked. And she also specializes in blonds like she does it all she's so good at every single aspect braids. Yeah. If you've seen on Instagram like, the big blonde, braids extensions. That's chrissy. Yeah. So we're super excited interview her she's one of the hardest working people I've ever met in my life. She is a go getter. She does not stop until things are perfect. And she just always strives to be the best. But she's also really humble and always treats people really, well, which I admire lot her husband rich also came to the interview. So we interviewed the two of them together. And they're such a great duo and their business partners. And he. He is such a huge part of the business as well. Which is why we wanted to include him in on this. Because he's been a huge reason. I think they've reached success because he's handled kind of all the business aspects while Chrissy worked super hard or her craft. So I think they're really good team. So without further ado here they are. All right. We are here with Chrissy and rich live. I the podcast studio. Thanks for being here. We're just gonna jump right on end this interview get into the good stuff. So first of all tell us where you're both from the start with that. All right. My going go for go read. So this is the classic American story. Right. Okay. We lived exactly one mile away from each other both in coldest sack both directly looking right at an elementary school one mile as the as the crow flies. They say right soulmates. But yes, but because that's separated by Gilbert road here at Mesa northeast Mesa at the time, we were in different alimentary is of course, we're different junior. Highs different church groups, we didn't ever meet each other. It's not like social media in our he just kind of connect with everybody who's kind of your. Innocenti exactly. But then you didn't hear like a product of geography, you know? And so basically high school comes along and we both born and raised in northeast Mesa high school. We have a I'm a senior she's a sophomore, and we have class together. That's the first time. But again, I think I'm big man on campus. I hate to say that but sounds really conceited..

I was with the big brother people that there's a Melissa and Karen bond and people think it's up, but the crews says CARA was the limited final four despite not having a single vote cast against our thoughts. She played a very strong under the radar game and people red people, really. You know, really loved her seemingly out there. I don't know how much is you talking about her social game. You know? But you know, she did not have really designs on a plan to get to the end. And maybe that's exactly why they needed to get her out at final four. Maybe her game was not under the radar on the island. Right. Maybe everybody out there knew what an amazing game she was playing. And so they need it to just get her out. We don't know. But that would be my. She seems super sweet. But in terms of like her game other than being nice, and people would tell her secrets it's like if there wasn't much there, but you know, being likeable and get into the end is enough to win. Sometimes. Absolutely. It is. To say the two just because we didn't see it doesn't mean that it didn't exist. It is possible that maybe we shouldn't give the best confessionals or didn't give the best answers at tribal council. And that's why we didn't see them that much. But it doesn't mean that that did not exist. You could be or not to final waters, certainly. But I feel like that we would have a little bit more of a sense based on the secret scenes and. And stuff like that. So I feel like that we'd have a little unless it was the kind of thing where she does want to say to the production for whatever reason which other players certainly said before. So who knows but while the paternity, we'll talk to CARA in the exit interviews, and maybe we can get a better sense. But you don't have to talk to Mike white that he's scheduled on my call sheet for two movies. So we'll. So we'll see sometimes these exit interviews the day after can be a little bit wonky of like who they who can't get tracked down the day or to not that, you know, anything about partying after the finale or anything like that. But sometimes it's it's kind of a hot mess the day after the finale might white joined the final two club. So I fully expect Dominic. You have Photoshop him into our picture member of that. Yeah.
