Could Elon Musk Partner With the Video Platform Rumble?

"I want to talk about a possible possible potential. A partnership between the world's richest man, Elon Musk. And the terrific video platform, the alternative to YouTube. Called rumble. Now full disclosure, Debbie and I love rumble, the people at rumble came to me early on as they went to bongino and a couple of others and they basically said help us to build out this platform. And we did rumble began to grow rapidly. We began to post content on rumble. Subsequently, we were invited to invest in rumble, which we have, so I'm kind of letting you know that I have a stake or an interest in rumble. It's not going to affect anything I'm allowed to say, which is just descriptive. But nevertheless, rumble has grown from a relatively small platform of created by the way by Canadian named Chris pavlovsky. And Chris original idea was to create a platform that would help small content creators, as opposed to the big content creators that get enormous preferences at YouTube. And so it wasn't set up ideologically, but Chris is a free speech guy, and it's a real free speech platform. By the way, if you are not on rumble, you should be. Set up a rumble account, rumble is going places and you can find a lot of my content on rumble. Now, there was recently a very interesting exchange. It all started when the commentator Russell Brand was kicked off of censored on YouTube, and he was furious. It was over COVID and over the vaccines. And basically Russell Brand says, I'm moving to rumble. I'm going to put all my content up on rumble. And so Elon Musk kind of weighed in and basically said that, you know, it was very interesting. He was endorsing the free speech approach of Russell Brand. And then Dan bongino waited and basically said, hey, Elon, it would be great if you and rumble got together. It would be as one Geno puts it a four multiplier because rumble is a real freeze free speech platform and of course Elon Musk has the resources to essentially take rumble and make it into a kind of rocket, perhaps one that could even soar past past YouTube.

Who said that? Well, those Kristen dunst. Oh, no. That was close though, no. Kristen sinema. I mean, I just don't think considering considering what that led to because of Republicans and let's remember it's because of Republicans that Democrats got rid of the 60 vote threshold for judges because they refused to allow Obama nominated judges to be voted on. So, you know, it's always put this in context Kirsten. Let's hear her say it. You want to, here we go. You know, senator McConnell mentioned this in And I mentioned it in my remarks as well. The dean drive eliminating the 60 vote threshold is that the Senate becomes the house. And I remind everyone, I left the house and ran for the Senate for a reason. Larry Elder and Sebastian Discusses the Rare Footage in 'Uncle Tom 2'

"Really kind of punched me in the gut with this movie is just the first four minutes just the footage that your guys found black families in the 30 40s and 50s, just the opulence, the prosperity, the elegance, the self confidence oozing out of two dimensional pictures and black and white, home movies, and look, I'm a white dude who's an immigrant to America. I was pissed of what's happened to that community in America. How did you guys just find that footage? Well, it was the director, Justin Malone, who's just an brilliant director. And our composer's name is Damon Chris well. He scored both movies. And again, it gave you kind of the atmosphere of the whole thing. But you're quite right. Even after black's emerged from slavery, when we were talking about lynchings and KKK and Jim Crow, black people still kept moving forward. Why? Strong nuclear intact family. It was rare for a black kid to be born into a world without his father married to the mother. A strong belief in patriotism, believe it or not, you read the speeches by people like Frederick Douglas Booker T. Washington, the riddled with praise for American values. Judeo Christian values and a belief in entrepreneurship. And Uncle Tom two talks about what's happened. How did the righteous civil rights movement get hijacked by these leftists, Democrats, socialists, collectivists, and marxists who want to dethrone God, marks, of course, was an atheist and on the website a Black Lives Matter. We talk a lot about Black Lives Matter and Uncle Tom too. They attack the nuclear family and Karl Marx hated capitalism, let alone entrepreneurship, so the very things that made black people and able to endure in the face of horrific obstacles. God, family, American values, and entrepreneurship are all under attack right now by people like Barack Obama who said America has racism in its DNA.

Ali Velshi: America Dodged a Bullet but the Gun Is Still Loaded

"If you want the news, where do you go, Chris? Where'd he go, Travis? America's news, man. Ali belty. That's right. And here he is again. Good morning, Ali velshi. Good morning to you, my friend. It is great to see you again on this Friday morning. It's a Friday's always a great long day for me. And this is my, you know, this is getting my blood flowing in the morning stretches. Yeah, yeah. Right. This is your stretch for your weekend. And I have my your pillow. Yes. If my pillow, not anything relevant about my pillow, I just thought I'd bring my pillow. You know, I was going to read this tweet to you because this is where we find ourselves. You having to be a news reporter in this day and age. Patrick tweets, a pillow magnate, just had his phone seized by the FBI at a hardee's in connection to a fired reality TV host trying to steal The White House and I'm begging the writers of America season 246 to please stop drinking for even one day. Do you not feel like that when you're just like, who else was it? Oh, somebody, oh, Don said, it seems almost written that Trump will be picked up at a McDonald's. Who was the other guy in a clown wig at dairy? And dairy Queen. The guy that said Trump is going to be reinstated. But that's real. That's real. Ally. Where do we find ourselves at this juncture? The problem is, and as I've traveled around the world, it's all like this, right? It's all stuff that you could discount as not sufficient to make a movie plot. The type of lawyers Trump surrounded him with the four seasons landscaping thing after the election. It's all the Christina bob as his lawyer. It's all like that except two problems are occurring. One is they actually did real damage and continue to do real damage. They actually ruined real people's lives. So aside from people who were killed on January 6th, a lot of people were duped who are now going to jail. And Donald Trump continues to phone in to their rallies and things like that and encouraged. Not a bit of remorse. If I ever did anything that caused another human to spend a night in detention, I would be racked with remorse forever. But number three, which is the most important is that everybody looks at that stupid clown car and says, you know, they weren't going to succeed at this, which is not entirely true, right? But for Mike Pence making a decision at the last minute, our democracy could have been fully imperiled. There are a whole lot of smarter people out there who aren't part of the clown car. Who aren't Rudy Giuliani who want to buy who aren't, you know, all these lawyers that he's got who are looking at this thinking, um, I can figure out a way to get this right so that isn't a pillow guy and a McDonald's and all of this kind of stuff. That's actually what I worry about. The too many people look at this ridiculousness and write it off as, wow, that was stupid and ridiculous. But we didn't really Dodge a bullet. We actually really did Dodge a bullet and we better be careful because the guns got more in them. Yeah, this has caused one of America's premier newsman Ali velshi to bring an actual prop on a morning radio show. You actually brought a pillow because if I want to be really good, I'd have a pillow and a phone because the pillow magnet had his phone set. That's right. Now, you're going to cover that this weekend about by the way, it is not easy to see someone's phone, right? I mean, there have been a number of phones. Tell us about how you're covering that this weekend. Well, so I want to try to make sense of it, right? Because of the January 6th committee, there's the Department of Justice investigation in which Merrick Garland seems to have woken up to the idea that despite the possible damage and martyrdom of Donald Trump, if he's indicted for anything, the Department of Justice has to take this seriously and in a timely manner. So the DoJ has seized a bunch of phones. They put out a bunch of subpoenas. Now keep in mind, we got, we got Boris Epstein. He had his phone taken. And Mike Roman, who was a campaign strategist for Trump had a phone taken. The pillow man had his Jeffrey Clark had his phone taken back in June, Dan scavino, the social media director, had his and Bernie kerik. Former commissioner of the New York police, who was working with Rudy Giuliani in overturning the election, had his phone taken. It is very hard to take somebody's phone, by the way. The Department of Justice can't do it as a fishing expedition like Donald Trump likes to say. You can't take a phone for purely investigative investigatory purposes. You have to have probable cause of a crime and convince someone that you do. There's a high bar to getting someone's phone. Now, my confusion is that when it comes to pillow guy and guys like that, I feel like they've said all the quiet parts out loud on either fox or whatever crazy outlook will have them. So I'm curious as to what could possibly be on their phone, but they haven't already said they're being sued by dominion voting. They're being sued by all sorts of people. So I don't know, but I will say this that between the January 6th committee and the Department of Justice, they've all been very deliberative, more deliberative than many of your listeners are my viewers would like them to be. We took them to move faster in some cases. They've been very deliberative. So if they're getting the stuff, one of two things is happening. They know there's valuable information on those phones or it's information they already know and they are now calling these guys in or looking at their phones to say, we already know this. We just need further corroboration before we place charges or things like that. So those two things are happening and I don't know which. Right. So this special master ruling, we just talked to Glenn kirschner about it. I mean, it's just, it's getting harder and harder to sort of cover, first of all, I don't even know how you keep track of all of these stories of lawbreaking, and which crimes are being investigated by who. But you know, I mean, I guess Trump has succeeded once again in at least delaying. Yes, that's exactly what it is because the special master has to get through the documents now by November 30th. Which, you know, the Trump people had wanted three months. The Department of Justice and wanted less. November 30th, the one, the one thing about that, and I guess the Department of Justice doesn't care to get politics involved in this, but there's a sort of political thing happening between now and November 30th and it's November 8th, right? It's the actual midterm elections in which it does seem that some Republicans and conservatives are disgruntled by the degree of criminality that seems to surround the former Trump administration and Trump today. And so that's the frustration that why November 30. This is just a delay tactic. There may or may not be some documents that were seized that were inappropriate, but generally speaking, the FBI and what's called its filter team do a relatively good job of this. So this is just going to be a way to do what Donald Trump has always done. One day, perhaps Donald Trump will face the music. Yeah. He's very, very, very good at delay, and that's what the special master essentially. Yeah. Speaking of politics, our Republicans trying to lose the midterms. Let's talk about the Lindsey Graham's proposed. Right? That's exactly right. And now this stunt was desantis and Abbott, you know, illegally flying migrants in some cruel prank. So it's cruel. It's cruel and the cruelty seems to be the point. I'm not sure that moves the needle politically all that much other than gets Democrats who were thinking of not voting. To vote. But I think abortion may have done that anyway. So I think you're seeing a lot of energy amongst Democrats, which you wouldn't have seen in the midterm typically. But the Lindsey Graham thing just weird, right? The

Chris Kohls Comments on the 'Terrifying' Police State of the Left

"So let's just finish up on this topic, Chris of what's happened in the last few days, because I'm just curious where you're at, where you are with regards to your personal reaction, because you are a conservative content provider. You are bold, you're putting stuff out there about the darlings of the left, like AOC, you're speaking truthfully about them, you're destroying the lies and the myths that they perpetrate. When you see what's happening around whether it's Mike lindell, Steve Bannon, whether you see the 40 recent subpoenas, my former colleague, Boris Epstein, how do you feel as an American are you worried? Oh yeah, oh yeah, that stuff is terrifying. And I will say that for somebody like me personally, it's not that big of a deal. I obviously know several people personally who have been raided by the FBI for January 6th and this sort of thing. But at the point that the rating Mike lindell's office and taking his phone, he doesn't have anything to do with anything. Like he's just a guy who supports Trump. He's a business owner that supports Trump. There is absolutely no justification for that. There's not even the illusion of a justification. I don't even know how they're pretending that that's justified. At this point, we do live in a sort of like a banana republic. We live in this police state where it's like, well, if you disagree with big brother, then the Gestapo is going to come in and they're going to take your phones and they're going to intimidate you with nothing. If nothing else, it's intimidation. But it could be as bad as you will get arrested. It does look like they're setting the stage for the arrest of Donald Trump. And I am actually kind of scared in terms of what's going to happen because they pretend that conservatives are basically ready for civil rule or at any point, right? We're all these kind of crazy conspiracy theorists and that January 6th was as insurrection and all this kind of stuff. We know it wasn't, right? There was a guy in a wookiee costume, you know, with like doing cosplay or something, and that guy was supposed to actually be this threat to democracy or something. We know that's ridiculous. Setting the Stage to Arrest Trump With Chris Kohls

"This idea that we need to go after Trump. I have a theory. I have a theory here. I believe that there is a group of Democrat con men that got together and they wrote a list of crimes up on a white board at some point. Maybe this was even before Trump was elected president. And they wrote a list of laws, right? They scoured the books, and they said, okay, which laws would prohibit somebody from being president? Because if you think about all the laws that they have gone after Trump for, they're all laws that if you violate them, you can't be president, right? So collusion with the Russians. That would be treason, right? If you're convicted of that, you do not, you can not run for president. You can not be president ever. What was the other one? Incitement of insurrection. That is a very unusual, that's a very obscure law. But if you're convicted of that, you can not run for president. And then there's this other obscure law about taking papers from a federal building. If you do that, you can't be president, right? So, and people have pointed out that, okay, yes, if you take papers from the government building, you can't be president, but that doesn't apply to the actual president of the United States of America. But I don't think they knew that when they were writing up this list. I think they wrote up this list. They said, these are the laws that would prohibit you from being president. Let's go after Trump and try to frame him for each one of these things.

"Multiple times in recent years. How do you think he let's assume for the fact that fury is not retired? And is going to take that fight one way or the other. How do you see that matchup? So I would still pick fury, but I'm with you that I can't count out a guy with Alexander usic skill level. You know, he's too he's too skilled, but he's also too complicated. And one of the things that I think played into this fight and every fight for Alexander usic. If you're preparing for him, what do you do? Okay, you fly in 8 southpaws as Anthony Joshua did. But how many of those southpaws could even do 20% of what Alexandra can do in the ring? How can you replicate this guy? So would I pick Tyson Fury? Yes, because the physical advantages are so massive and I think that he is also a lot more sure of his offense, both moving backwards and moving forwards than Anthony Joshua is, but what I definitively count out is no, because you just can't prepare for this guy. Obviously I fought Manny Pacquiao. And I always say that the hardest part of preparing for Pacquiao is preparing for Pacquiao because finding someone who's spars like Manny Pacquiao is impossible. He literally does everything wrong. He just makes it work. Oh, it's not that way. It does everything right. But no one does it in the way with the, I guess the word is the pizzazz, the way he does. I mean, he's doing everything right. He's doing everything textbook, but it's the way that he puts it together. It's the way the recipe works, that creates a masterpiece every time. I think I might have wrote in my story prior to the fight. I think the closest you could get to a facsimile of us is if you inflated a version of a silly lomachenko. That's the only guy in because of course they're under the same learning tree under lomachenko's father, except given power. Right, the only guy that would do the certain things, the way that usak does. There's just no one else that could replicate that or even come close. One thing fury will do in that fight is something Joshua is not really capable of doing and certainly doesn't do. And that's lean. Operates like a real heavyweight. He will lean that entire 6 foot 9, 275 pound frame on you, and he will SAP the strength out of you. That is how he will find a way to slow down Alex the news. Don't get me wrong, I want to see that fight. I'd love to see it undisputed champion, the heavyweight division. That's a dreadful fight. I'm sorry. It is a dreadful dreadful fight. We have just done 24 rounds of Joshua news. Those were largely dreadful rounds. They were like, except for the 9th round of this fight, those were any of the tenth minus took over. A couple rounds here or there, it was largely clinical. And that's how we seek fights. Like he's not going to go outside of his comfort zone. He's not going to become, you know, Derek Chisora, alpha sudden. He's going to fight the way he wants to fight. I disagree. I like these fights. I've really enjoyed using Joshua. I like technical high level boxes. I love that stuff, because there's so many nuances. And you're going to love fury. No, I'm not going to get very physical and fury does a lot of weird things in there. Like you said, leaning. I mean, what he did to wilder in that third by just being so fit or the second fight. So physical. I mean, to do that to a guy who's two 20 and not 6 foot 7 or 6 foot 8 or whatever. Is us going to have to jump to hit him in the head? 6 9 is no joke. You know what I find interesting about the possibility of furiosa is fury traditionally leading up to his fights. I think he either needs or likes to create an enemy. And there's nothing like adversarial at all about Alexander usyk. You know, a guy who's in the midst of war back home, who's a pretty jovial guy. What is the motivation for fury other than just boxing? And I don't know. Do I think that fury will fight again? Yes, but I think there needs to be a particular motivation for him. And I think it kind of needs to be a bit personal. I don't know that he has that with us now. Maybe after user said his name, maybe he can conjure this up, but right now I'm just not certain. That's actually a pretty common theme for fighters is creating an enemy, whether self perceived or made up or not. I know a lot of guys in the gym that when they're fighting a guy, a lot of times they attack the press. We hate you guys because it gives us a reason to be mad at something because we're mad at everything. And we have to fight. List of people that hate me is longer than this, I don't know, he goes around the door. I like a crisis. But a lot of fighters do that. That's a really, really good point, Corey. Jamal trial is my best friend. I don't know what you guys are talking. By the way, as we are recording this Tyson Fury, took to Instagram and said quote, I will annihilate both of them on the same night. Get your fucking checkbook out because the gypsy king is here to stay forever. Tyson Fury is back to water money. Well, first of all, it was a retired. Yes. No, I'm coming out and I'm fighting for free. No no, I want half a Billy to fight against Anthony Joshua or Alexander. He's a fighter man. With a new trainer with Isaac mowing steam there. That's his trainer. I wish I would have known this before I declared the winner of this fight like the true heavyweight champion on the air, but what are you supposed to do? How am I? Oh, come on. You've never believed this guy. Actually retired. It's going to happen. Probably late this year, early next year, defending where they do it. Eddie Hearn, I don't think is going to be involved in that fight because it's free and clear. Now, as a fighter. But top rank, Frank Warren, they'll get a deal done. Everything a bunch of money. I will get an undisputed heavyweight champ. Lastly, Anthony Joshua, 32 years old, coming off back to back losses, three losses, Chris in his last 5 fights. Where does he go from here? I think he has to rebuild. He's got to go back home on the local European British circuit. And get those wins back at his confidence back. And honestly, I don't think Tyson Fury fights out of the question. And it's a fight that is just very enticing. It's very enticing for a lot of reasons. I think it's a great fight. I think the fans are really love it. I think it will make a lot of money. I think he can get back to that relatively quickly if they match him up right and he can get a couple of good wins, especially knockouts under his belt in the next year or so. I agree. I don't think that the fury fight is out of the question at all. Because I think that that is big enough in stature where Joshua, if he beats fury, then suddenly he's a heavyweight champion again, right? Then maybe you run it back with us, you can do whatever. If it's not the fury fight, I don't see Joshua. If I had to predict, I don't think that Joshua will take just kind of tune up rebuilding fights. What I would see in listening to Anthony Joshua speaking a particularly in the build up to this fight, I see Anthony Joshua really starting that next chapter of his life. He's got a pile of money. I see him more meaningfully kind of leaning into his humanitarian efforts into athlete management. And I think that he'll spend some time with that and then once time passes, then he can market AJ is back, but I just, I don't see, with this roadblock at the top of the division that is usyk, I don't see him wanting to fight someone kind of beneath him. I think how he lost opened the door for a comeback. If he had been knocked out by yusuke, that would have been tough to come back from. But if he just gets out boxed by a pound for pound great, he said, look, I just could not box the guy. I'm not that level of fighter. I'm still great, but I'm not that level of pure boxer. I think the door is now open for that. And look, I do think fury no sick face off first. But Joshua, look, to Chris's point, you can go on that European circuit. You can fight fringy heavyweights two times and 6 months. Your arm now with this new disowned deal, it's a global day. It's going to pay you a lot of money. No matter who you fight, and you can go back to the UK and do that. And look, we know unboxing. You get two fights in a row, wins in a row. You're back. You're back into the mix. What have you done for me lately? That's boxing. Meanwhile, Deontay Wilder still out there. Yeah. Like delta wilder is going to fight in October, a fight he theoretically, if you still Deontay Wilder should win, he gets a win, maybe gets another win. All of a sudden, while there gets Joshua, is a massive fight in the UK, UK, or the U.S.. Maybe Joshua comes back to the U.S. and tries to find a way to avenge his last appearance on U.S. soil. It's funny to think about how little the heavyweight landscape will change with all of this. It's all going to be the same guys. Yeah. It's crazy. Last thing for you. Usic, Joshua mentioned this about usic and we talked a little bit Eddie here and I think said pound for pound number one. Corey is usic pound for pound number one after winning this fight. He's either number one or number two and I wouldn't disagree with you saying either usic or in a way who you go in a way at number one. Yeah, probably. How was that bud Crawford number one? But. I don't know. I don't know. In a way in usic to me, jump off the screen as special operators in a way, not but Crawford doesn't. But I think his relative inactivity has allowed for these two guys to be in my memory and to do it more and more and more often, right? Well, I mean, I think I have the November as long as this Crawford spends fights happens. That's going to change this all. You think Robert Spencer is going to happen. I am boxing fan first. First and foremost. City of weight in the wings. I got to get my paycheck. I have to think about it. It's like being number one. But I'm not sure about that. But being undisputed Cruiserweight, beating Tony bellew after bell you stop David hay and back to back fights. Moving up to heavyweight, beating just sore average fight, and then outboxing heavyweight champion over two fights. Top three at a minimum, probably top two on my list and then oh, you love in a way. Maybe I'll move my list in a way back up my list. Anyway, he's a bad way to destroy down there was mean. I called that fight live. I think there's such a good guy. I thought that's like two. And the moment that, you know what moment that jumps out at me, I think it was the maloney fight and it was on ESPN and ward and Bradley were on commentary. And he was so dazzling that Andre ward just couldn't think of anything to say. He kept repeating, it's a lot to deal with. It's a lot to deal with. And he was right. He was a good analysis in the moment. He's allowed to do it. Andre ward was like, I don't know what the fuck I'm watching right now. I've never seen anything like this. That will always stick in my mind. That's why I don't want to be dangerous. I don't want to see anyway against chocolate Tito. Somebody was talking about that the other day. Like, don't move up chuckle too. If you don't do the beat the strada dough, we'll up to one 18. I don't want to see you. No, I don't want to see that. In a metaphorical body bag out there. "Durant and boxing? The summer's just evaporated on me. But we are at the end of July. Good fight still ahead of us though, Danny Garcia fighting this weekend. You've got Virgil Ortiz back. Next weekend, they're a little bit further down the line. Anthony Joshua, a huge heavyweight matchup against Alexander usyk. My guest this week Keith I keep probably thinks I'm going to talk right off the bat about the flirtation that we saw this week between Jamaal Charlotte and Demetrius Android. But Keith, I promise. No discussion of Android Charlotte. I have exercised that from my mind and I am not going to get invested, especially since I texted someone that would know something about who said there's nothing to it. So I'm leaving that alone. One thing I would say is that I was told that after Demetrius Android parted ways with matchroom, Al hayman was among the people that his people spoke to. So there was some sort of opportunity there for him to join PC. I don't know how close they came exactly, but he wound up signing with Dimitri solita. And seems like he wants to fight Chris eubank, but if there was ever an opportunity for the fight that you've wanted to see, your whole life, Chris Maddox, I think it's gone. Don't tease me with that Demetrius Android talk to PBC stuff, Keith. I'm not prepared for that. I'm just not. That this would. He's not going to get Chris eubank, by the way. I don't know if Chris eubank Connor Ben comes together. I know they're hopeful. They can find a way to make a deal over in the UK, but in the event that Chris eubank does not face Connor Ben, he ain't fighting Demetrius Android. That's just not happening. So it would be in an Android Charlotte. It would be a good fight for Demetrius Android at this point based on what it is options are because he would make good money to go over here to fight eubank. But any other thing before we move on to what we're actually supposed to talk about, I know eubank Connor Bennet is a huge fight in the UK for obvious reasons. That's a pretty tall order for Connor Ben who's a welterweight moving up to I know they will fight at a catch weight and everything, but Chris eubank is much bigger than him. I agree. And this wasn't on my list of things to talk about because it's not a fight that's been made yet and they still seem to have some obstacles to overcome, but, you know, Eddie Hearn, I was reading boxing scene this week. Eddie Hearn had some comments he made over in the UK about how this is not a cash out fight for Connor Ben.

"Will be in the fall Hall of Fame. He just probably won't be there for a first down to pick, but I think I think, you know, he'll be voted in the banks of someday, especially for the guy that doesn't have love for the sport. And he's still doing great things. Yeah. And actually, it blew my mind that Bradley isn't in yet. He probably should be in. So yes, Bradley, we go in ahead of them. Ivanka Calderon, you can still make a case Joel castle, mayor, Chico Corrales, there's quite a few names. We also need to have a separate conversation, Jacob. Yes, we do how fame and why there needs to be three every single year. Exactly how that conversation as well. One. That's gonna start leading to guys that get in, that don't belong. In that Hall of Fame. But that's another podcast. All right, I wanna finish with Danny Garcia, the two division world champion who is back on July 30th at a 154 pounds, making his debut at a 154 pounds. He has not fought since December of 2020, Ben really an active, not really been on the radar since then. Here's Danny Garcia about making his jump to one 54. Well, you know, like I said, I like the fire champions, even like Tony Harrison. It'll be a great fight for me. You know, he's been around for a while. He's a former champion, so I feel like he earned his stripes and, you know, that would be a great fight in the future. Anybody that wants to do four. Laura's called me out. I heard him call me out, so I think that I think he has a belt at middleweight. So we can do that fight. Or any of the champions. Well, there's only one champion where Charles. So whoever, my dream is to be a three division champion. So in order to be a champion, you got to fight and beat the best. So there's really no secret to it. All right, jamel, I'll put it to you. Can Danny Garcia be a player at a 154 pounds? Yeah. Especially honestly, I would say that based off of a circle who is with. If he's right now, he's with the PVC banner right now, all those belts are tied, but then PVC river being honest. Shout out to John Jamil Charlotte. But I believe with him coming in now, obviously getting his feet wet within the division. We all have seen it. He probably need one, maybe two wins before he, you know, he gets a shot at whoever, you know, allows him to fight over there and jamel has all the belts or so, but I believe, you know, long she just acted again and just, you know, puts on a win or two. I think they'll give them a good give him a shot. And that just had the Apple right over there. We've all seen it. It's like round Robin. Yeah, Jake, I don't know what we're going to learn against Jose Benavidez. On July 30th, that's a fight that Garcia, if he's close to his best, should win, but he's an interesting name, at least at one 54, and he sure sounds like a guy that's looking to make the big fight. And he's not just targeting Charlotte. He's mentioned Tony Harrison as someone he'd be willing to fight. That's an excellent fight. He's mentioned eris landy Lara..

Now with interviews, analysis and everything going on in the world of boxing. When you have talent, you are given another chance. Here's Chris mannix. All right, welcome back. We are into July. Good month of June. We've got undisputed, lightweight champion in Devin Haney, some good fights in the month, and now we're deep into these summer months. You know, the summer used to be a time when boxing basically took it off, decided not to do fights during the summer. Now, you've got a pretty heavy, heavy lineup, you've got Derek dessert back in action over the UK and a couple of weeks. You've got Ryan García back in the mid July time frame and then of course Anthony Joshua back in the ring and Saudi Arabia on August 20th talking about that and much more my guest this week. Jamel herring, former 130 pound champion and Jake Donovan from boxing scene dot com fellas. Thanks Everything's good, Chris. It's good to see you. Speak with you about current events and boxing. Like you mentioned, using sometimes pretty quiet, but a lot of good things coming up. All it's good to see, you know, my fellow brother, Jacob as well. So it's going to be a nice place to be a good episode, and we're allowed to talk about. Yeah, no question about that. All right, I want to start with what we saw last weekend, where we may have seen the birth of a new star in boxing. Right. Jesse bam Rodriguez, he notched the biggest win of his career stopping three 6 cat store run Versailles in the 9th round of his super flyweight world title fight. It was banned second win at a 115 pounds and second straight over a luminary in that weight class after Rodriguez out pointed Carlos quadris back in February. Jamal, I'll start with you. What did you think of Jess's performance? Great. Great department. Great performance. I'm definitely coming out party. And he's only, he's only getting better, you know what I mean? Just talking about his last two fights a month. You clearly see the talent with he's still young enough to where you can develop more, get better over time. I know he mentioned about, you know, going, you know, down away. I feel as if, you know, he should, especially when there's a lot of weight classes kind of.

"All right, on Saturday, the undisputed lightweight championship will be settled once and for all when Devin Haney challenges George Cambodia in Australia. Down under for all the 135 pound belts, George Campbell, of course, coming off a huge win over to a female Lopez late last year, and George joins me here on the show. George, before I get into your preparation for this fight, what is the last 6 months or so been like for you as you have gone from, you know, relatively unknown contender to four belt world champion. Yeah, look, it's been amazing. The support has been right up there. The whole country behind me, you know, a lot of the world behind me that was so impressed from that big victory I had with Lopez. But my tunnel vision in my obsession got more. I became champion and I became hungrier. I got to build my own private gym, which was real fun. And that's what I put in the work for at this whole camp for at this whole time. I got to really continue to perfect my craft. But these laws did get busy, a lot more people wanted to make me. You did get right back in the gym. I mean, following you on social media was probably a week maybe after you got back to Australia and you were right back in. Actually, I was back in the gym when I went to the Devin Haney JoJo dies for an in the MGM Grand nonstop because I'm never content. I'm always trying to get better and better and that's the corner photo I am so even while I was scoping out my opponents after my big win against Lopez, I was not enjoying the high life. I was not partying. I was not celebrating. I was back into the June because that's what I do. You wrap that Devin Haney fight like you said against JoJo Diaz Devin won that fight for a while, you thought you were going to get vasili lomachenko. Of course it didn't work out lomachenko's got his situation in the Ukraine. How did you feel at the time about pivoting from lomachenko to Devin Haney? No problem. I always said that all the Devin Haney or lomachenko whoever wanted the fight whoever made the best do and everything made sense also thought them both. No problem so I got a lot of respect for lomachenko obviously he went to the war. He's fighting a bigger fight and no problem. Devin Haney was one of the guys that we wanted as well and he came to the party respect to that and here we are. You had the leverage as the four belt champion at lightweight and you used it. You got a multi fight deal effectively in this situation. You're having the fight in Australia. Why was it important for you to have this title defense in Australia? Of course, you know, I had to go earn the builds of teeth in my life as in his backyard. I had to do and I can't let you back to back set. I deserve this, I deserve to have the do the way I want it and the way it makes much sense for my future, my family, but for me I love to fight. And being so passionate about falling, especially here in Australia, I had to bring this back to Australia. It had to be here. I had to defend my belt at home. Nothing else mattered by 40 here in Australia because it's been a long time, so now I get to have my people supported me and that's the most amazing part about it, because I get to really get to.

"You know, to so to speak, like, hey, I'm the real deal. That wasn't a fluke against your female. But he can't ignore the fact that Devin is a phenomenal box and I'm throwing that word out there again phenomenal. So I don't I do. I like that angle. And I like Chris's angle too, you know, the fact that he's not getting under Devin's skin, which means Devin is not going to gay we're off to get out of his game plan. He's going to stick to the script. He never does. Skills pay the bills. He always does. And Bill hating, we had a conversation with him and he brought up a point. Listen, how many close fights have you seen Devin and it's true? We haven't seen him in any close fights. Now granted, you know, he has two names on his resume that we know of former world champs credible fighters in JoJo and linares, but still in all, even those fights were not close in my opinion. And George has struggled with sub Paul opponents. I don't want to call names out there, but in 14 female, this guy has struggled with guys that don't even come close to a Devin Haney boxing ability. Oh, it's Mickey Bates, Lee Sylvia opera. Yeah. I know, but I like Mickey bay. I know. I like picky bait too. I think he's eventually going to fight Devin farmer, maybe sometime. And Mickey bay is his team haney. He spars with Devin. Devin Devin gives him the business. And that's even more help in the camp saying this is what Campbell's has. This is what he does. Everything seems to point in Devin's direction, but I think that not having your father being in Australia, knowing that you have to fight him again and not having been Davidson. Maybe that kind of lifts it up closer to a 50 50 fight, but if that affects him. If that even affects him exactly, you know what I mean? But we're talking about skills and the eye test. Yeah, Devin Haney. Yeah, I would just say one other thing, the and Barack alluded to this..

"He showed durability as well. But you got to edge in the person who never has close fights. The last three of Cambodia's fights were all split decisions. Devin Haney doesn't even come close to split decision. He barely even loses around. It's hard to bet against somebody like that. And Barack, I'll add to that one of my favorite attributes that Devin has is a lot Floyd Mayweather is conditioned. I mean, I've never seen Devin Haney tied in a fight which is so important in the championship level when you're talking about 12 rounds. So here's a guy that is probably gonna be at the same pace that he wasn't the first. He'll be the same pace in the tenth round. That goes a long way. So just look, obviously the attributes are there. The skill, the speed, everything that you need to go in enemy territory and get a win. Now people are worried about enemy territory. People are worried about home, cooking because of what we saw with many pack out and Jeff horne. And I talked to Barack about this early in the week. You know, I said, hey, maybe because of that fight, they're highlighted now. You know, the microscope is under those judges and they don't want to effing up. So they're going to try a best to be as fair as possible because they know they're going to be scrutinized for that. So maybe it might be a blessing in disguise that that happened with Manny Pacquiao and Jeff phone and Devin gets a fair shake when it comes to that decision. I mean, I'm hoping for that because, you know, to both of you guys points, this guy has so many things against him. I mean, look, credit to you all, Judah, who's been in enemy territory when zab Judah for spanx and his son became undisputed welterweight champion of the world. I mean, he's a guy from Brooklyn, New York. He has some toughness to him. So, you know, Devin has some tough people around him, but it's not like having his pops did. So he has a lot of things against him, which I think will add an extra chip on his show, the more motivation to shut everybody up, especially George Campbell's. What kind of sport are we dealing with here where corruption is just okay for us to talk about..

I already knew that he had speed power footwork and all of that stuff and he's more so of a boxer than anything. It's just that he happens to have explosiveness. The happens to be faster than most of the fight is he getting there with. So no, he didn't show anything. And then when you got a guy who was throwing shots as wide as Rolly, but he did show that he can take a shot from a really big guy, you know, he took a couple of shots. It seems like every time Rollie would catch him flush, he would leave a mark. That's how hard the kid probably punches. So he showed that he could take a shot and not get flustered, but stay with the game plan and execute what he wanted to do. And Chris, you know, going into this fight, if I'm not sure if you remember, but on social media and doing interviews, take said it. You know, he made it seem as if I noticed God has been below in the ring room. When he was going throwing shots at me with a promotions, he would say, hey, they making me fight this clown because this is my last fight on the contract. In other words, I know he doesn't belong in the ring with me. I know that I'm levels above him, but you know what? I'm gonna knock this guy out. You know, for bragging rights. Like Barack said earlier, so it's not like javonte was going into this fight. Oh, I'm going to fight such an amazing fighter and I'm going to prove to the world that I'm this great. He knew that he was fighting a guy that was less experienced than he would knock him out..

"So he could look at it two ways. Do I want to continue in this, what a lot of people perceive to be a contentious relationship with Floyd Mayweather in particular, or do I just want, as you said, to continue dealing with Al hayman and showtime, but just eliminate Floyd Mayweather. I was surprised to your point, Chris, I was surprised that he said what he said this week in that, you know, we've done a lot of good things, I'm paraphrasing, but we've done a lot of good things together and who knows what's going to happen in the future because it's completely contrary to what he had indicated in the past. He had tweeted some things that mostly he had taken down, but he had tweeted some things that were screenshot that certainly indicated that he was heading in a different direction after this fight. So I guess I'm headed to the press conference later today for the fight. And I'll ask him about it. I'm sure other people are asking him about it as well. Maybe he's now undecided. I don't know. I mean, but I just thought it was weird that he completely changed course based on what he had said over the last few months this week. He is the master of the tweet then delete, which he knows was anyone is meaningless because it'll get screen grab, shared all that way. It doesn't matter if he keeps it up or not. It's still out there. I mean, unfortunate tweet at Jake Paul, you know, all of a sudden went viral even after he deleted it talking about the money. He tweeted Derek Harmon's phone number. I mean, it Derek Carmen apparently had tried to arrange for him to meet with bob. Obviously, Derek harman, the former light heavyweight contender who works for bob Aaron for top right. He tweeted his phone number. Which I thought was funny, but I was like, oh man, I believe he took that down as well, but people started calling Derek Harmon and nonstop. Let me ask you them as Keith. Even if he leaves Mayweather, if he remains tied to Al hayman, does any of it matter? There's like ultimately to get what javonte Davis wants. Al hayman and PBC are going to have to do a deal with somebody. You are not going to get next year the winner of Devin Haney versus George Campbell's without doing a deal. Either with ESPN matchroom if haney finds his way back there, whoever. You're just not going to you're probably not going to do it. You're not going to get a deal for Ryan García unless you involve golden boy and his own. It's kind of as simple as that. All the talk about Mayweather. It's almost like a red herring. Like if he's not going to agree or if Al haymon's not going to agree to do deals with somebody else, we're still right back where we started in my mind where he's looking around the PBC universe where there's nobody. Like, I don't know who we would fight in that in that sphere. If he only limits his options to that in his next fight. You and I would both love to see Davis against Ryan García before the end of the year. There's been some momentum for those talks in the past have been real negotiations for those talks in the past. Ryan's going to fight against somebody in mid July and then presumably be available for one more fight before the end of the year. Do you think that it's possible for Al hayman to do a deal with somebody else? Do you think it's necessary for Al ham to do a deal with somebody else in order to get a big fight for Giovanni Davis? To answer your first question, Chris, it might matter very significantly to boxing fans in this way if javonte Davis leaves Mayweather promotions. What has been relayed to me is that he wants these fights and that he feels that Mayweather and maybe to a lesser degree Leonard ellerbe have prevented him from getting these fights. That's true or not, is probably somewhere in between. But if he really wants those fights and then he removes the people who he feels have been obstacles toward him getting those fights, well then maybe those fights happen because he demands it and he's speaking for himself now and he tells Al Heyman, I want to fight. Let's just say Ryan García. Please go make the Ryan García fight whatever we have to do, whichever partnership we have to create to make that happen, please go do that. Now, the onus would be strictly on javonte Davis at that point. If he does leave me with a promotions and then say a fight with Ryan García doesn't happen or a fight with the winner of Devin Haney and George Campbell just doesn't happen. Now if haney beach camp boasts, he's going to be tied up obviously because he has to fight him in a immediate rematch. So that fight won't be available to javonte Davis for a while, but the Ryan García fight, Chris with June and I have discussed multiple times on the podcast is a fight that will really resonate not only with boxing fans with people outside of boxing because I think both of these guys Ryan García is in a Gatorade commercial now and he has a huge social media following javonte Davis clearly has resonated with fans based on his gate receipts and you know reasonably decent pay per view numbers. Both of these guys are unlike most boxers in that people outside of boxing know who they are and they would love to see them fight. That I think that's the fight for both guys because on the other side of it, if you're Ryan García is matchmaker, if he's going to lose, you want him to lose the fight against Giovanni Davis, where he's going to make a lot of money as opposed, you keep taking these, look, if he fights Javier fortuna, it's not an easy fight, but it's a fight that Ryan García should win. But if you take enough of those, maybe one of those times you're going to take a risk that you shouldn't take and he's going to get picked off and that he's not going to be in position to make an enormous amount of money for javonte Davis. So if I'm his people, I'm trying to guide him toward that fight. Now, of course, Ryan García see it also is going to want to fight the winner of Devin Haney George campus just because who wouldn't want to fight for all the lightweight titles, right? But I think commercially the biggest fight in the lightweight division short of the titles and it doesn't really matter if they have the titles or not is javonte Davis against Ryan García. So whether he's with me, whether promotions or whether he's away from Mayweather promotions, I don't really care about that. What I care about is making the fights for javonte Davis that we want to see and that more importantly, the fans, the people who are paying their money and who religiously pay attention to this sport, get the types of fights that they want and Ryan García javonte Davis is certainly one of those fights. Davis, you know, the message to Mayweather promotions isn't, you know, I'm gone. It should be, you know, make this fight for me or I'm gone. Simple as that. Like if you want to be in business with me moving forward, this is the fight. You've got to make one way or the other. I don't want other lesser fight because I agree with you. I mean, you're more connected to javonte team than I am, but I've gotten the sense that the criticism of his opponents has really bothered him over the years. And this perception, right or wrong, that he's avoided these tough fights, has nodded him a little bit. So, you know, I think it now becomes on him to apply the pressure and say, this is the fight I want. It's available to me. I know you've talked to Ryan García side in the past. Don't let networks get in the way, make a joint pay per view if you have to, whatever it's got to be to make something like that happen. And let's do it. Now at some point before the end of the year. But you're right. It is now, I think, on javonte Davis to be response, making it happen. It seems like he wants that. He wants to he wants that responsibility. He wants to, as he said, I believe Brian Custer take the training wheels off. And go out there and make his own fights. Last thing for you Keith, Deontay Wilder, got a statue. Good for Deontay, by the way. Good guy. I mean, really good guy and deserves it down in Alabama. And the question came up during that unveiling about his future and wilder confirmed he was going to be back in the ring at some point. He's not fought since last year when he was knocked out by Tyson Fury. What do you think the future is for Deontay Wilder? It was mid 30s now and you know, the clock is certainly ticking on how much time he has left. Yeah, he's 36 years old now, Chris will be 37 in September, I believe, or October, maybe. But.

"So that's that's the peak for your kings teams and and for those teams for chris. Weber's kings teams is two thousand two. But i was reading a couple stories retrospectives last couple of days reflections on chris webber and i've forgotten about this but obviously you guys were still whole and going into the next season in that two thousand three season. You should have been in just as good a position as ever to to challenge the lakers spurs and again. It's just that conference is just monstrous at that time. But you guys were right there. I think you had the second best record in the west that year but see web. He hurt his knee around christmas time. And danny i think he gets worse and it and blows out. Some ligaments early in the play offs was that oh two or three season is like could you feel like this is. This is where it turned right. Like two thousand. Two's the peak but oh two three a chance to still like climb that mountain once more. Maybe maybe try to break through at a time when the lakers were per usual a bit. Dysfunctional maybe a little banged up and there was there was there was a pather. Perhaps the you know the spurs and the ones who who. Come out that your. What did you see happening across that last like full year of your of that group you know i think Kobe the best it. He said If you guys beat us that we went to overtime in game seven. You win a championship. Probably win a couple in a row because the championship gives you a different type of confidence. It gives you something bed until you win it. you don't even know that it's there and the inability for us to do that. Because brought in barack miller we were playing good basketball Kion clark jimmy jackson like we had cases but without at championship about that experience without those things all of sudden. I'm getting planet fasciitis a little bit and webbed with the knee in all these different things started happening and unfortunately we were just unable to to to close the deal and you can start feeling a little bit. And that's the that's the unfortunate part howard that talk about when i say that this is what i live with. When i interviewed coach out for the hall of fame i interview disallow. Still don't radio entered viewed See web in. I asked him. I said i haven't had a chance to talk. You guys ask you this question. I said but for me. Just talking every day and being around basketball's therapeutic because this is something that you live with in in it. It's painful because in athletic lifetime there's a window in when it closes athletically. You can no longer do anything about it. I can get into coaching. Do different things in their each of their answers were different. But that's that's the thing that you live with is is the inability to close the deal in.

"Literally unhealthy. Air on the eastern seaboard. One hundred and seventy six and remember reading articles about political mobilization china around clean air. One of the points that was made in. That piece was if you're a rich businessman in shanghai. There's lots of things you can do to avoid the traffic or put in a water filter or send your kids to a private school but at the end of the day you gotta go outside and walk in the same area as everyone else in shanghai does and you gotta send your kids out to play in it and i thought about that yesterday but there's literally escape from this air like what whoever you were. Obviously people have to work outside. Have it worse but there is a commonality here that i hope is increasingly dawning on people that this is we. Don't get out of this one. Yeah i live in in british columbia and we've had this experience summer after summer and there is something unique about that claustrophobia. Especially in a place where most people don't have air conditioning or any of the kind of filters because the truth is you can buy your way out of it a little bit you can. You know have a sealed. A climate controlled environment with good epa filters and so on and look in china and the private schools are under dome. So never underestimate what. "He is not just dominating you pretty much any opponent that he faces but to me. Joe ellis joel is scary. In how philadelphia defense can be scary but then you look at the other side of things and you wonder will go through stretches where they may be stagnant or struggles score so i. I don't know if there's a good answer and you also have shooters now like have shooters open up the floor again for seventy sixers that we didn't really see You know the last two postseasons or whatever whatever it may be. So i don't i wouldn't necessarily say one over the other but i would say that the the lack of inside size for the nets combated with what joel embiid into the league he. He's a star drops sir headphone did. It was falling out. But i also didn't wanna touch it. Because i thought it was gonna hang up and zoom. That's fair and we will end though on that note though sir we appreciate. I will look forward to your positive comments on the defense. You and our believe. It's clicking on all cylinders right. You're acting like we're saying they're one of the top defenses in the league. You you just need to be able to look like is yon is going to go for forty nine again. No but some point. You've got to stop like a guy the you got to stop an mba. You can stop a y'all got to get it. But but just to that point against i mean milwaukee scored one hundred seventeen the nets lost by three. They gave up twenty points off. Turnovers and james harden was sitting on the bench like a dance. Where the what's that would do a moral victory. Now we come on moral victory I'm just saying you're asking is yang. Maybe not in. I don't know the when you're projecting you're asking me to project. I think we'll walk. I also think milwaukee's top like really walk us. A tremendous team philidelphia's a tremendous state. Who who knows what. Joel also in sweat like doc rivers wrong. How that changes what you see. I mean i. I don't i. I don't think there is an easy path or easy route or easy answer for any of these teams just because you know a lot is just going to depend on the chess match of what the postseason and i think. That's what we're all excited for a lot as well for all of these teams depending on health Where where does that. Where does that janas block on. Durant rank for you. That was wild. Like i don't think i've ever seen like drake is never been blocked. No no i'm a seven footer. with a wingspan. That gets you up to like eight and a half getting blocked by on that. I've never seen a block. Like that. On a kevin durant type. No no and he came out of nowhere. I was shocked. I was shocked. Yeah i mean janas. He's news a freak. He's defensive player of the year stuff right there. Get your vote ready. Howard start changing your bony. That's right you both have votes right. Both votes is about tomorrow coming tomorrow. Brain of leaves. Oh.
