Nobody has to run across the road. Just the outside shoulders. Yeah. Where everybody throws their trash. Pretty much much lot of stuff. Unfortunately, the um Buckman Springs rest stop was closed down for a few months. And when I drove through there didn't say that it was closed, So I believe it's still it's open, but I didn't stop this time. The last time I drove through two months ago, um and I actually stopped two months ago. I've driven actually four or five times instead of nonstop, but I stopped a week ago. It was closed. "Whistle blower. Chris Wiley actually called us the Petri dish. That's a quote and he said that Cambridge Channel Ridicule in its parent company experimented in the Philippines would tactics of mass manipulation, and if it worked they, his word was ported it over to the US. So I guess I'm telling you that. We, are the Guinea Pigs but you are the targets and democracy is in danger. In fact I. think this is an existential woman. If we go back to you know information is power. The reason our world is turned upside down as because facts have been made the. By the world's largest distributor of noose. Well, you're very choppy, Cassandra and Diane. Thank you so much. Meal bravery. You're brave woman than I. It's it's all I don't think that's More suddenly as Maria let's let's. So let's go right back to the beginning. Then as you were talking about seeding in twenty, six to eight, and that's when you wrote this series with rap la on the propaganda war and how the president had weaponized social media to bolster his campaign and he's vicious war on drugs that included countless extrajudicial killings. I wonder if if we can go right back to that beginning, do you remember what I made? You think? Something's not right about what's going on on facebook in the Philippines. Yeah absolutely you know Rattler was actually created in twenty eleven on peaceful. If face will could had better search, we may not even have done a website. So we embraced facebook because we did. We grew exponentially the first few years one hundred to three hundred percent both in reach and revenue. But so what happened in two thousand sixteen it was a three part series.

"At draft pick so that's why I was like Mike can't do it. Look I love this guy? He's so hot I I like the fact that he's not like some muscle. Fuck boy. He's actually like a real asset. You don't think he's hot brands. There's literally no. I told Sharon this when we were going through all eight guys. I'm like all of you. Just come come come. Eat Me after the show. You're all you're all absolutely astounding. I think I I love the beard. I loved the overall way he carries himself. He just has a quiet confidence about. I agree with your assessment. Taryn that I worry that. The killer instinct not there. We've talked about this before on other reality shows where they don't have the gear that they need to have shift into the wind and the Sullivan. The Wind I certainly think that he's GonNa go a long way. I feel like that. There's nobody who owns a wants to get rid of here. I I don't know how do you say it again? Ya Okay. I'm going to be dirty American interest here but there's nobody in this cast that can get away with not lying and he's going to have to learn that in order to better as family and better his living situation if he wants to win the money at the end. He's GonNa have to lie hoping that he can do that. So we're a little worried that he won't trigger all right. Brent you have two picks it easier final picks of Israel picks of retry. I'm going to pick somebody that. The Chad has been begging us to pick since the beginning of the first round. I feel like we have to give Chris ago here Chris Wiley. Who is the guy that Taryn and I just had so much of a hilarious time? With on the twits stream. I'm going to that. All of the crazy stuff that I heard on the twitch stream and all the stuff that he did in the Promo and all the stuff these like. I'm I'm hoping this is a big act. Because when he got to actually talk with Ikea I felt like he was a little bit more grounded in terms of his interactions with evil. He definitely made me laugh sill his interview with Ikea but it wasn't to the point where like he was putting on a character Again in the universe where this guy wins. It has been a fantastic season of big brother. Canada I feel like there's a way he could win. Where unlike like I'm totally. I'm I'm totally dismissing. The brain reconstitution therapy that he's preaching. I know he put out a youtube video. Okay so let me just set the stage here for those unfamiliar with with with Chris. So when I first saw Chris we see that his occupation is brain transformation specialist and I was like that's weird ignored it. And then you go. Further into his bio and he continues to reference the fact that he's a brain transformation specialists in fact. He says why he's going to do well as he's not just a guy who works out he actually has brain and that's what he does for a living as a brain transformation specialists and so. I was like okay. Okay all we have to look this up. What is the brain. Transformation specialists deeper? You type it into Google and you don't get any results. There's nothing that says brain transformation specialists. Okay that's a little weird so what you sometimes have to do with Google yet. Quotation marks around the phrase so that it searches for that exact phrase so that you are actually getting results for that thing so you go tation marks around it you start to look at the results and you come to the realization. Oh he is the results it. Just it's just Chris the brain. Transformation specialist is Chris. He's made this up these. This is not a real thing. He just called himself. If you had your pick of what what do you what do you want to call your profession brain? Transformation specialist and so one of the results is a youtube page YouTube channel. And he's uploaded two videos the day before the cast released and the videos have this lake inspiring motivational music. And they have Chris dressed as a magician in a small little office room talking with a bunch of a bunch of like five people sitting in chairs about how he's going to transform their brain and that you'd have anxiety than we're GONNA fix it. You have other problems in your life. We're going to fix it. I'm going to teach you how to do things and it's going to be. It's going to be great with swelling music in the background and they're holding their arms and like closing there is and he's like pressing his hand down on their arms and they're like wow. I don't know what he's doing but it reminds me of that like you know how they used to have those like negative ion bracelets or whatever that they put on you and then they do that Scammy trick where they'd like pushed down and have you balanced and like you'd unbalanced when you didn't have it on when you put it on and you'd be like sturdy. I worked next to a place that sold them so I watched it constantly. It's felt very much like that. I don't know what arm thing was. But the point being a this guy is is like he's he's trying to be some kind of cult leader scam artists brain transformation specialists. He talks about. I don't remember the term. It was it some sort of students pseudoscience that he's preaching So you know this. This is somebody who really feels like he. It seems like he's genuine about. It doesn't seem like he's trying to scam people. It seems like he. He really buys into this. And Okay okay. Well you've been on the job okay. Well that's very that's very possible. I thank you for the thing that I like. Neuro plasticity something that he talks about which neuro plasticity is a real thing but I think the thing that they try to take from it is pseudoscience. He also mentions that at some point. I don't know where she found this but he also some sort of used to be a pickup artist. Great on pickup lines and he was like embarrassed about it it. I think you're getting a sense of who this guy is like somebody who has twenty right. He's twenty eight right now like when he was twenty three he was probably really like into the pickup artists thing and it went to conventions about it and like all that stuff and now now he's then he went to an LP drain transformation specialist stuff. And now he's teaching other other people about this feels like to me now. The the stage has been set. Brent tell us why you think he's going to win but rather candidate I.

"We should have been looking at this two years ago in incidentally, the news lately has been Facebook did infect talk to Cambridge Analytica knew what they were up to long before they talked about it publicly Facebook staff, according to the BBC flag came regenerated fears earlier than thought three months earlier than thought cranny US court documents that was in September twenty fifteen more than a year before the election. Facebook said it discovered this December twenty fifteen three months later, and there was even evidence that a Facebook board member had met with Chris whittle who was the whistle blower, Cambridge. Politica in that timeframe. So somebody who's not off the hook by any means is Facebook. And I think a lot more about this interesting. I was actually at the event when Facebook announced their app ecosystem. And if you don't believe me, you can Google this because Kenneth wisher actually documented this I asked the Berg, aren't you worried that if you open up your ecosystem to independent developer, there could be some kind of a security breach. And this was back. I think in two thousand ten and he didn't have a good answer. You know, he really didn't have an answer to an obvious question, which you know, what happens if you if you open it up to the world and Cambridge analytic apparently prove that. Yeah. Chris Wiley, not whittle. Chris whittle somebody else, Chris Wylie's the Facebook. I'm sorry. The camera general the co whistle blower who we now know met with some Facebook. I think there was one other development this week that is probably worth noting which was that DARPA the defense advanced research projects agency, I believe that is short for released. They're developing a new voting system. Yeah. Starts online voting system. Yeah. Voting system, and the fact that it's not being done by a for profit company is at an that. It's open source is those are both good things if not online, I should say a electric voting, but it is attended the companies like diebold debold will adapt..

CIO at Connor broadly Chris great to have you on the. Program if I look at the, dollar, we've, seen two days of Donna strength now that would suggest that Jerome Powell gave an upbeat assessment of the economy meanwhile though we, did see. Kerr flattening yesterday ten year treasury yields going nowhere yesterday and today it seems, to me like the fixed income and FX markets are telling different stories what was the story that Jerome Powell was giving us yesterday In terms of the messaging I think it's interesting that he did go. To the trouble of inserting that key phrase for now yes Now you could say. That that's. More dovish that anything's sorry no, I think I think it is because you? Have to ask yourself are you. Could save let's implicit that is always always as independent but why did he take the troubled says so it. Is making a point so I had we've had that it's, in the mindset. To go on hold imminent too distant future for now so we've been postulating that actually the last month or two the bearish moments let's consider the positive story. Which always revolved around the fed would, coming, out to this tiny period to at least going, on hold and, seeing, what develops next. So that I think his dovish interestingly though as you, said the dollar firmed up a bit so you. Think well maybe it's not I think what's going on here is that for equities that prospect. Is is quite supportive because it does it does give you start point to a path where all. Those Things which have been bothering Marcus this year loss of them actually that tobacco. On the fed and fed policy the, interest, rates going up has is feeding into the dollar, is feeding into, emerging, markets so on. And so forth into the yield curve debate so quite, a lot woods that of those concerns were debates. If we could say well actually the feds not doing that anymore On the other hand you're right the big. The big conundrum is this flatter yield curve which has this awesome exhortation as a, an, indicator of when it inverse of recession And I. Think that's what it what would really being told us we're getting quite close to, the end of this this phase of fed tightening I think. That's the truth for that so this is this is the change in. Mindset which is just just beginning now I think I think we'll look back on that statement yesterday I think that was the. Beginning of the new regime just very briefly? Chris fund.
