You think they're just gonna take it in the mouth and just lie down. I don't know they're going to get taken. The cop out of rogers then the ravens the ravens at home. They might take hongqiao lamar every single week. That's as far as i'll go. And i think that's still hot day. I thought you were going to predict them to green bay to to to now. I'm gonna say they're going to win monday. I can't do that. That's too hot difference between a heartache. And then just didn't absolutely silly take well rich. We are hung over from yesterday. I honestly. I think that they're going to be somebody to watch every single week this year. They're going to be of interest to either win a game or stay in a game or be out of the game and comeback. We talked about it yesterday. Tj that you have to give that up like you know moral victories. There's wins and losses and ties in the standings. There's no column for moral victories. Silver lining victories. Sometimes though waft certainly when you got a new head coach what if they just totally lie down and got beaten up after. He gave that whole biting off kneecaps. And taking honks out and jerry easily could have. They're going over like they could have just said scored twenty three the last twenty six points including last sixteen points they fight. They fight right. They've got an onside kick. They gotta turnover had a chance to actually send it into overtime. 'cause i put on twitter at one point i was like if you're not watching this game right. You're kind of missing out like you wouldn't think so the look at it just on paper at got very exciting. I know jeff aku being out as definitely Gonna leave a mark. Oh yeah that's my four downs coming up next. Why was health fired. We know the answer to it but we all sense that he was. I mean that hot seats been hot for a very very long time. Barry guy went five and one last year. A covert shortened season. The only game he lost was the the game against oregon for for the pac twelve championship. So i guess after all that you're not gonna bounce your coach. I guess with all that money left that was on his contract. And now i guess is even though it's a me get this right an eight figure buyout but zia out. Who's next. Why where else could somebody be on the hot seat as we get set for college football week numbered three bruce feldman of the athletic has been all over this. That's coming up next right here on. "You just objectify every human being you see you go there and ladies files on you and then does not and it does not and then does and then does not and then certainly does not then you go see a show and it's something you would never pay that much money to see anywhere else but it doesn't matter because money has no value doing super stuff like you know what i've got. One hundred dollars would never spend ever on anything on black. Go go honestly. That's last night's game was like later on that night. You're thinking to yourself. Like why did i think that. How did that possibly happen. That wouldn't have happened anywhere else. Like not finding a kicker and overtime having a ball hit off a helmet and get picked off after. You've already won the game but the referees you hadn't then you come back and you personally blow it. Not everyone hugging hands after the game is like waving to everyone. They're almost like going to do the jersey exchange games over. I know and my son coupes watching it with me and then zan came down and watch with me. 'cause he just finished his homework and cooper just looks at me when the game's over and he goes that was wild and he's ten he gets it and then he starts laughing at me. Because i lost my fantasy and zander starts laughing at me. Because i needed nine yards more out of josh jacobs and thought i was going to get that bunny touchdown at the end i thought game over the whole thing just feels weird the next day. It's like a trip to vegas vegas without my children. Clearly of course hundred dollar steaks. You don't do that might like. What are we doing on talking about a show. i do one hundred dollars stakes. Let me tell you something he drinks. I'm sure i'm sure. I'm sure they're very. They're very talented. You can't get the vegas now. That i really don't think honestly would you spend that much money on somebody painting their entire body blue and doing stuff just banging drawing a lot laver honestly come on. I saw them. I went i make sure to implement groups shows dame but that much money bomb. Here's what on also this to. What is what is the oldest form of entertainment today. okay oldest form of entertainment today. okay. I understand outside of getting to think not a house of dance okay i. It's an open ended. Question generates like the white house. Like tj jay. Surtee soleil soleil yes. It is the pay like five bucks to yard. See that to me to me though. It's ventriloquist let's put a puppet here right and then make it talk lips right. Which is very talented all the time and they probably make killing. Yeah killing because people come to vegas. It's spent thousands of dollars and part of that thousands of dollars. It'll be go seeing somebody with a puppet on there. It's like ninety minutes. "Asking that question. And now i am saying it into a radio. You know that Raider nation radio could be hearing right now. Hi mark if you're driving or hello. Did you get the suit where you get your haircut. It has to be the sequence where brian edwards scores. A touchdown doesn't score. A touchdown doesn't get the quarterback i need. I need a moment. You're giving me a secret. sorry The ball going off the ravens players had and then into the arms for an interception. I don't know how mitt deflections interception in the endzone overtime that scott to be it. You're right and then gruden throws his papers on the that was supposed to what else. What other natural reaction can you. I know that you need to be stoic on sidelines. Because you don't want to be seen showing your guys up or whatever but what else you need. What else be said right. That was incredible. I mean do you really think lamar jackson was going to fumble again. No after that no did. I also think that they'd go hard count and have a false start on half yard one. How about the way they want it. Did you see gruden. Said they couldn't find the kicker. What do you mean. They couldn't find him. Marlton was on the sideline warming up and grew. They couldn't find him but rooting find him. They couldn't tell them yo. We're kicking on second down. Where did they take a game. Where did he go. Get a drink at the club. I have no idea so then. They just threw a they play. And now the the bomb touchdown to win. I'm telling you anybody who's never been there before i. It's like a different universe when you get off a plane and not. Las vegas nevada. It's just a the airfields different. The whole concept of of time there is no time warm to the concept of. What's right and wrong gets totally wart. "So that's that's the peak for your kings teams and and for those teams for chris. Weber's kings teams is two thousand two. But i was reading a couple stories retrospectives last couple of days reflections on chris webber and i've forgotten about this but obviously you guys were still whole and going into the next season in that two thousand three season. You should have been in just as good a position as ever to to challenge the lakers spurs and again. It's just that conference is just monstrous at that time. But you guys were right there. I think you had the second best record in the west that year but see web. He hurt his knee around christmas time. And danny i think he gets worse and it and blows out. Some ligaments early in the play offs was that oh two or three season is like could you feel like this is. This is where it turned right. Like two thousand. Two's the peak but oh two three a chance to still like climb that mountain once more. Maybe maybe try to break through at a time when the lakers were per usual a bit. Dysfunctional maybe a little banged up and there was there was there was a pather. Perhaps the you know the spurs and the ones who who. Come out that your. What did you see happening across that last like full year of your of that group you know i think Kobe the best it. He said If you guys beat us that we went to overtime in game seven. You win a championship. Probably win a couple in a row because the championship gives you a different type of confidence. It gives you something bed until you win it. you don't even know that it's there and the inability for us to do that. Because brought in barack miller we were playing good basketball Kion clark jimmy jackson like we had cases but without at championship about that experience without those things all of sudden. I'm getting planet fasciitis a little bit and webbed with the knee in all these different things started happening and unfortunately we were just unable to to to close the deal and you can start feeling a little bit. And that's the that's the unfortunate part howard that talk about when i say that this is what i live with. When i interviewed coach out for the hall of fame i interview disallow. Still don't radio entered viewed See web in. I asked him. I said i haven't had a chance to talk. You guys ask you this question. I said but for me. Just talking every day and being around basketball's therapeutic because this is something that you live with in in it. It's painful because in athletic lifetime there's a window in when it closes athletically. You can no longer do anything about it. I can get into coaching. Do different things in their each of their answers were different. But that's that's the thing that you live with is is the inability to close the deal in.

"Si cover at the time if not for the way you guys played the game and it was beautiful basketball and again people should go back watch. Those highlights the cutting the movement. The passing you guys were the epitome of the beautiful game exactly as we have praised the most recent edition of the warriors for and as we praise the spurs four especially when they beat the heat in two thousand fourteen. That's exactly what you guys were not identical. But that that aesthetic. Right and and i agree with you. Doug like if if if your best player isn't willing to be selfless like that. Give up his body setting screens passing playing at the elbow. When initially he you know he may be a little reticent because power forwards are supposed to be banging down the low block like without that. The rest of you guys aren't elevated right. You need to play off of role. Players needed playoff of great players. Who opened it up for them. And so i i agree with you there. I will say that the hand off screen to set up bibi's game winner in game. Four i think derek fisher still claims to this day. That was an illegal screen by web. Taking him out so If i recall correctly i may. I may be misremembered. Appreciate it if if my memory serves me correctly i broke got We filed foul. Kobe with our face was gay right. absolutely.

"He's he's looking in. You would talk to me. He would me a look in a wink and those were the type of things that he did. Which was which is an. I q that not a lotta guys at that position at that particular time had so it allowed him to step away from the basket in down seventy footers. Like if he was that they see where. We're probably be shooting a three point shot like because he had that much talent but then he would go down and he would bang dunk on somebody snarl all those different things like is leadership. Ability was He would in. This is the party said that our he would get so much more credit. Had we only made free throws games. Think about that you make free. Throws you make three throats and it changes a narrative that when you say those numbers that you said our. He was so far ahead of the curve because he played begin. Tie game like was he. A lockdown defender. No but he was very good at communicating. And i never had to really check and look when i was getting screened because i would have a compensation. Hey d watch out here conference on your left. It's on your on your rights. Like that's how it spoils is spoils you. Because he was so good at so many different things so I am glad to see him. Glenn i would agree with you now. a long long overdue from the resume. That has been put down anybody. Anyone that question whether chris webber hall of famer just does not know basketball in my opinion and you should have to put it in this context to doug. That was a powerful word era right as much as as much as this era is about gourds as much as they were previous decades. That were much more about the center of the seven footers. That was a powerful. Here's a partial list of the guys. That were chris weber's rivals and this is partially. Why if you look and you go. Why isn't anyone moral. Nba teams are more all star teams partially because he he injures the nina's really thirties but partially because this is who he was up against night after night and by the way was beating a lot of these guys in outscored these guys. So carl malone kevin garnett. Tim duncan dirk nowitzki. Charles barkley shawn kemp vin baker germaine. O'neil tony mc dice. Dice another one who got cut short because of injury but like the position was just absolutely stacked. There were no off nights for powerful especially in the western conference. I it was. It was incredible what he can do up against all that and listen to howard. What makes that even more impressive in for basketball. People that understand basketball. This is why. I said. Chris could have went in. He could could egotistical approach facing the players that you just name and said i'm going outscore and but there were nights where he leads to go. There were nights where he let me go off in. Did he still get his twenty four and yet but did it in a flow. He shared the ball. He understood that now isn't the time for me to score. Let me get everybody else going loose in the defense up and now i strike like that type of level i've played with other players. Who is like. I'm gonna get mine regardless of what the team does web was not that way in that speaks to the person he is when you name a lip is a really proud of about reports and that was on the night night basis..

Doug christie doug of course all lockdown defender in his time a staple of those kings teams of the early two thousands famously battled kobe bryant through many many playoff series and those kings teams were of beast a team. That really could've maybe should have won a championship. And maybe because they didn't. Maybe that's what held.

Hey dan it's hard to think after last night of an nba player that has changed their narrative in their stock Historically you know in one season like chris paul has done. I don't know a lot of people that would have said he's worth forty four million next year. You know even midway through the season but now i think no matter. What whether the suns win or lose the finals. I think he's going decline. The forty four million which he has to do in exactly one month from now he doesn't have a lot of time. So this is gonna come soon. I think he's going to decline it and go to la. Play with the banana boat. Buddy lebron james and the lakers. It's not a crazy idea. Thank you paul. But i think he's already said that he's going to turn down the forty two million dollar extension and i think there are reports initial reports. That maybe he would look at a three year. One hundred million dollar deal at age thirty six. This is the biggest game of his career and it came at the most important time and to be able to do that to send your team to the nba finals and still have more of a script left to be written. I mean that's that's pretty impressive. Is that changes. A whole lot with chris paul so i can't win the big one. He's always injured not well liked and then all of a sudden he starts on these state farm commercials and people start to like him a little bit more but he's bounced around. He was in houston. Oklahoma city was with the clippers. It was in new orleans. He's he's been around nearly became a laker. The commissioner turned down that trade from the pelicans to the lakers. Many many years ago. David stern did that. And then here he is with a game that you want. This is when great players step up. And he's certainly was that yeah mclovin. Who gives them a better chance to win. Next year the lakers or the sons. The young talented sons. I think if you win in phoenix it would be hard to leave phoenix unless you say. Look i've done what i set out to do and we won a championship collided. This coli left toronto but he wanted to go home. I don't know in chris paul. Would you could say the same. Look i wanna go home although phoenix to. La's not that far. But i wonder if more likely if you win a championship to be able to leave or if you don't win a championship that you want to you. You definitely want to stay. Yeah polling paul. This season was ninety. Four percent from the free throw line. He led the entire league. Say he was one one sixty nine of one eighty one. That's nuts injuries. Free throw shooting. It's crazy to say that what this could come down to. But i keep preaching it injury. Free throw shooting but a titles title. I don't care how you get it. And there have been teams that have won championships. Peyton manning is not apologizing for winning that second super bowl. He didn't help them that much. Their defense did. Let's see we were wondering about this if you could pick a college athlete former college athlete all time and just say that guy is going to benefit or that woman is going to benefit the most from these name image and likeness decisions. That are that are forthcoming here. You get one athlete in college. History that you think they would have benefited the most by capitalizing in college on name. Image and likeness. Todd i'll start with you. Based on his accomplishments and his charisma and everything that goes with them. It's hard to not pick mr tim tebow. Tim tebow good call. Mclovin tibo by five miles because already the best selling sports writer author of all time with the evangelical crowd on his side. T. bowed kill it. All right see no connor just to change things up a little bit. Because i don't disagree with those christian leitner. I think he probably would have done done. Well i don't know if he would because of his personality. I think because of his status but i think it's personality people probably would have a hard time buying into christian. Leitner selling a product nationally. He's the biggest player on the the biggest team or but but people years but people hated duke. They hate duke. Bucks protest by not playing Game 5

"The NBA's Milwaukee Bucks. The team with the best record in the League decided not to take the floor for game five of their playoff series against Orlando. The players made the decision to call for change following the police shooting of Jacob Lake in Kenosha Wisconsin the later postponed that game as. Well as to whether that were set to take place. The cause was later taken up by the WNBA several baseball teams, several major league soccer teams, and tennis player Naomi Osaka former. NBA Player Chris Webber gave emotional analysis of the Milwaukee players decision last night delivering a powerful message on what would have been the live telecast of the game we understand is not gonna end but that does not mean young men that you don't do anything. Don't listen to these people telling you don't do anything because it's not going to end right away. You were starting something for the next generation and the next generation to take over you have to be smart. Yes. Do you have to make sure that you have a plan. Yes. Do you have to be articulate about that plan? Yes. All of those things but that's what you're going to do. They're professionals they know how to be the best of themselves. And so I applaud it I applaud it because it is the young people is the young people leading the way. And I applaud. I call coach what indices and give them wisdom. Congratulations. A couple of guys teammate a relationship with and hopefully I can do them right by Mentone. I love the fact that I went back there. We still have scholarships at the university since my time of leaving. So right now, I'm just really happy that I got a chance to go back as far as another step or something. I'm enjoying my kids right now and trying to get through the rest of the season. Okay. But that was the hopefully the first step, but it was initiated through coach Harbaugh. And I really appreciate him for that. Because if not it would not have happened. Do you have any contact with beeline at all or no, I don't I call coach. "So when I do college games, I know what it's like for that family to sit there and watch this son, and they're praying being urva. So I know what it's like guys to be emotional or they're up thirty points in the walk on gets in the game. You know, all those wonderful moments that team moments, and so that's really why like doing college because I can do that. Because the commentators in our time. They weren't right? You know, they didn't know much about other cultures. It wasn't as diverse. And so it was easy to cast the Spurs or to say that these people are like this. And you really don't know. But you're judging our body language, and you're making judges on the content of our character body language handling that at the time at the time, we loved it bring it on more. You know at the time, you know, eight anybody eighteen is against the world. It's like the world is against us. Like, that's what we need it. We were all from a poor city. We will from friends and families that struggling people that like we knew we were there hope on Saturdays. We knew what we were bringing to the table for family and friends, so we embraced it. I mean, and that's what I hope that the young kids take with them is that take everything with a grain of salt, the the praise and criticism. And then if anything us at all as energy to have something to fight against and a lot of kids come up, and they do give us love. Oh, yeah. Where they're aware. Yeah. Probably through their dad. You know, you know, you know, what I mean? But but they're they're women because it's just amazing. Chris Chris Webber here on the rich Eisen show. I mean, you've got the number four jersey up there Brockman of the Michigan number four from the fab five just seeing. Now, it's just if you don't have a one and done team. You don't have much of a shot, which is why what be lines doing in. Michigan is just it's an outlier and this year is opposed to be lined building a team that then comes out and becomes a behemoth in March this year, Michigan started seventeen in all I'm telling you. It's the top six teams. It's going to be something. I mean basketball this year in college is really good, especially like you say how on the game penetration. Kick outdrawing has guys that can play an all different types of positions. So. It's gonna be good. I I would caution though because college basketball is real. And so they know we can go seventeen and know, and then they know we can lose the first game of the tournament. And so that's wonderful. Balance of basketball is like okay, we've done that. But so what what do we do tomorrow? Right. Your your honorary captain see this year..

Now, you when you were on the show of of many times prior to the season, you said this Lakers team is not a playoff team. Now, we kill me for a hold on a second. What we didn't see common was was LeBron missing a month. I mean as of tomorrow it will be a month since Christmas day when he he hurt himself. But now you giving me this look. And I have notes in my phone. I can pull them out. But the Lakers still the whole thing. I was saying was that they don't have any shooters. And if you look at their shooting from spots if thirtieth I'm probably wanted to off because I'm not looking to thirty if in free throws thirtieth and jump thirty thirtieth in threes. They have no shooters even when the Brown was in Miami. Who did he have on the best is ever Ray Allen? Then you have to look at what my boy. Shamed. Batty did on Mike Miller, I think eight threes in a row he's always had shooters around because he was a facilitator when he other have shoot around. How can you be the best you can be? He's having a great season. It's not about him. But I do think it's about the talent that you have around. And I think that if you win one championship in four years, that's the story. Look out college hoops: Duke is just getting started

"College basketball regular season, which many people ignore is now interesting look at this Duke team and then the tournament because it's one and done increases the odds, they may get upset. This is great for college basketball. And the reason I think they can go undefeated potentially. It's very very early. And then win the whole thing. Guys. What why couldn't UNLV do it because Duke head coach K why couldn't the fab five win the whole thing? Well, we know why that was a different story. Okay. Fine. But still coach Kane got in the way of a lot of teams net. And now he's playing in the one in done sandbox. Right. He's like, okay. Everyone else you're playing now. I'm playing one in done. But these one in Duns are being coached by coach Kane, they have a chance it's ridiculously early. They have a chance to do. What hasn't been done in a long time? A couple of things number one. Let's not act every time. We talk about the fab five not winning the national championship. Everybody points to the time out that wasn't a time out. Chris webber? Let's remember that the year before that they got a nine late about thirty by UNLV. I'm sorry about Duke. Right. So this remember that that's double one number two. Everybody's talking about shooting. I don't see a team that can't shoot Zion could hit perimeter shots. Barrett can hit perimeter shots can reddish can shoot. Okay. And there is something to be said, remember we're talking about kids. We're not talking about an NBA team. We're talking about kids. And if ever there are individuals that could be demoralized is on a basketball court see with football, you have so many you have so many different components on on a basketball court. If you got one superstar that can intimidate a team if you got to it could overwhelm a nation and college basketball if you got three. Hopeless

"Remembers that in the era of me too. It was revealed that Louis c. k. had forced surprising number of young female stand up comics to watch a masturbate that resulted in the cancellation of his show, and he was under a rock until last week. We showed up at the comedy cellar in New York for a set the comedian slash confirmed sexual assaulter performed, obviously copy and paste this from somewhere. Yeah, the comedian slash confirmed sexual assaulter perform set a set and club owner. Noam doorman told the New York. Times that quote, it sounded just like he was trying to work out some new material. Almost like anytime of the last ten years he would come in at the beginning of a new act. Randy Moss rode big-play ability all the way to Hall of Fame

"Randy moss is a, I first bottle hall of fame. My colleague here is very proud of him. He deserves it out of voter him in the first ballot hall of fame as well. But if we're going to use the criteria to keep te'o Al. How do we justify doing that for Randy moss who literally admitted he played when he wanted to. Te'o played heart all the time. There were times and Oakland. Randy moss admitted. He took off. Because he was frustrated, played hard in England played hard in Minnesota. Wasn't the case in Oakland. What about that. See. That kind of up and down mood econo- stuff has no place in voting when it comes to the hall of fame. Your level of production matters. For example, there are people who say, Chris Weber's a hall of Famer in the NBA look at his numbers. I would say to you is damn show a hall of fame if we talk and fat five. But we talk an MBA career yet a numbers might be, you know what? I remember. I remember ready for this new knowing cat. I remember how to basketball was a hot potato for him when they were in the Western Conference finals against the Lakers and he couldn't give that ball up to Mike Bibby soon enough. That's what I remember. Reggie Miller never went to an NBA finals, but dad brother always wanted to ball. That's not what I saw over Chris Webber. It's not what I do. Numbers watch Shoygu deserves. It still was short deserves. It. What he accomplished in college Shoygu deserves. That's too many moments. When the franchise face the star of the team on the NBA level, not college basketball, NPA level one, no parts that basketball and thank God. He had Mike Bibby and pages to yackobitz and to a lesser degree Vladivostok. I remember. Would the dog Christie's in the world. I remember. So those kind of things that I'm talking about. Got to be about production. It can't be about emotion. And that's why support te'o in that it eight say ESPN. It's inundate seven to nine, three, seven, seven, six thing I want to touch on real quick before the calls is this new NFL rule where you're getting penalized, teen, y'all penalty of for leading with your helmet. I got no problem with it. If you're talking about avoiding launching your head and being like a missile. But I saw the the the penalty call last night by fichus were guys extending the on and trying to lead in it with their shoulder, but ended up their head. You know, the the head ended up touching the body. I something you know what the problem with that is, do y'all know that the hit the Anthony ball put on my man, Aaron Rodgers last year? Do you know that would be a penalty? That is utterly ridiculous. There is nothing illegal or de legitimate about that hit. That is preposterous. Absolutely. No place for it. And I'm here to tell you. Here. The biggest reason why Yasha hate this rule. It's going to delay the game more. Gonna late, the late the game more. As if we don't have enough time spent with the game being delayed because all of these damn penalties. Understanding trying to make the game safer, but dammit, there's a risk that comes with it either planet or you're not. I think the NFL's got this wrong. Aides say he has been seven to nine, three, seven, seven, six to the phones. We go trae you live, Stephen, what's going on with your even. Good. Thank you..
