Now interfering with shipping in the Gulf, so, yes, a small increase presence of US military resources is valuable right now to let Iran know that they may think that, you know, the US is at were with them by instituting these new sanctions in preventing around essentially from selling oil, but, but Trump is on the right track to be able to get Iran, that table as Chris van Holland today, the Senator out of Maryland, made some statement to fact at how much more dangerous the world is now that, you know, Trump back out of the Iranian nuke deal. Well, the, the Iranians have always denied that they were working on a nuclear bomb. So basically, what Holland is saying is, yes, they will working on a nuclear bomb. But he's also saying that the way to deal with Iranians is to stand down and to appease them, not to basically draw a red line, which. Is what Trump is doing now, that shipping has been, you know, interfered with in the Gulf, and I think that the message to Iran now is you engage the US military and the US military will finish the fight finish the job. And you know, so why watch what you're doing. And, and I think I it is not going to escalate into anything more than a potential limited targeted strike, if it even comes to that, John, I hope.

"Thurston? Robert who just called revenue. Just look it up to make sure that you're correct about how he felt if he was asked about how he felt I think the how it fell question, and I haven't verified this may have been the one that was posed by Senator Crist the other one though that was posed by Senator Chris van Holland. He made he asked this question. And this was after Bill Barr had received the letter from Bob Muller. He said you made a conclusion on the question of obstruction of Justice. That was not contained in the mullahs report did Bob Muller, support your conclusion and bar responded. I don't know whether Bob Muller supported my conclusion. Bob Muller didn't say in his letter. I don't support your conclusion. He didn't use those words. He did use the word conclusion though, and he did say. Say that it had been he didn't use the word mischaracterize, but he did say the way that he positioned. It was. Wasn't appropriate. I should look up the exact verbiage of that as well. So that we can make that comparison. But you know, it sounds to me like he did lie to congress, and there are different kinds of lies. You know? There are direct lies there allies of a mission. And then there are those pesky lies where you are completely and utterly misleading. Like Hillary Clinton. I'm sorry. Not Hillary forgive me. Hilary Bill Clinton when he testified under oath about Monica Lewinsky, and he said he did not have sex with Monica Lewinsky while his version of sex was vaginal penile, penetration. He had sex with Monica Lewinsky is different sex act. But of course, he was intending to mislead, and then when he was asked under oath about something else, he had testified to he said, it depends on what your definition of the word is is. And so when the question was asked because it said is and because the relationship had ended he. Felt as if he was telling the truth he said what he was doing was completely misleading. And I'm not sure if that was one of the counter perjury against him. But it's in my mind, it was a lie, and it's kind of the same as what Bob Muller is involved..

Are you committed to holding up all Senate business until the shutdown ends, well, as you know, we held up that I Bill which was called S one. They're gonna make us moved on it again this afternoon, but we had, you know, close to every democratic Senator on the floor of the Senate at ten thirty this morning. Where both Ben Cardin in Chris van Holland asked that McConnell put on the floor, the six bills that would open up the government, the sixty eight cabinet departments that are not homeland security, and then a separate Bill that would open up own land security, and they blocked and we have said, hey, we will go forward on this Bill. If you let us have a vote on opening up the government, which I'm sure would pass and pass overwhelmingly because then a lot of these Republicans I mentioned to were scared of Trump would be smoked down. And we're gonna would look at every Bill that comes forward very critically. And we're going to, you know, look at each Bill and decide what the right courses were continuing to stay strong on S one here. Are you surprised by Senator McConnell's essential absence from all of this sort of deciding that he was going to abdicate all of us thirty to Trump. Well, you know, he sort of in the. Passed as brag that he's the expert at avoiding shutdowns that he's the great negotiator to avoid shutdowns. And now, he's ducking at the when the house was Republican made, you know, he said, well, we have to get President Trump to sign, but two things have happened since then the first is the House Democratic so they'll pass bills to open up the government, and which was much harder. But second in the Senate, we actually passed a proposal unanimously not a single Republican descended that would require the government to stay open. So I think his arguments don't make much sense. And I said to him on the floor. You know, he was objecting to us bringing up the open up the government bills. And I said leader McConnell. I have three words for you open the government, and then I said, it's in your hands. And he had nothing to say he knows he stuck he stuck because his party is divided. With more of them still sticking with Trump than the number of who've come with us. I also think he's looking home at politics in Kentucky. And you may remember six years ago. He had a pretty tough primary from a someone who was to the right of him in a Trump. So he I think any he knows better. I'd say that. But I think at the same time he's very reluctant to move forward. "Partial government shutdown, right? Eight hundred thousand people lots of important agencies. But congress, of course, is still working they exempt themselves the house of representatives the Senate right now, the house is in democratic hands and the Senate still Republican hands democratic Senator of Maryland, Chris van Holland east to be a house member used to be a congressman from Maryland. Maryland has lots and lots of federal government workers that live there. Right. Just outside of Washington. DC many of Senator van Hollen constituents are federal workers who are being very badly hurt by this Trump shutdown. So Chris van Holland is now pushing in the Senate that there should be no action at all on any Senate business whatsoever. Unless and until the government is reopened and his argument. I think makes perfect sense. He said look as long as you guys Mitch McConnell, especially are keeping the government shutdown. You shouldn't be doing any bills. You shouldn't be confirming any judges shouldn't be doing nothing. Now. Of course, he's in the minority there. So Mitch McConnell is going to continue confirming judges and doing the things that the Senate can do unilaterally, right? Like confirming cabinet nominations. However, Chris van Holland the Senate, the senators because they operate so off. Often on what's called unanimous consent. The Democrats could simply withdraw the unanimous consent kind of grind a place to a halt. But he is the civics class part.
