"Don't expect frankly the Jacksonville to put a whole lot of points on the board and this book you just continues to surprise he throws one incompletion. It looked like he was playing against air and you made the right decision here to focus on the Minzhu because I think the guys who I'm really interested in playing in this game are. Levinsky on the lower end I love the way they used him, and of course, Dj Shark he had kind of a quiet week one but he did score a touchdown. They only had the throw twenty passes. Now that was that was kind of a surprise I think I think people. A bullying survivor pool here getting eliminated in survivor polls because they expected this to be a negative game flop. So if you expected that to be a negative game flow. In that game, you're also looking at. A more attempts regardless you more targets for you're looking at more targets for a DJ chart you're looking at more targets potentially for Levinsky channel and another guy who really didn't get didn't get a whole lot of runneth necking was Chris Thompson the running back well, I think he's going to be the Jaguars third down back however, if the Jaguars aren't going to be playing from behind, then you definitely take a look at James Robinson however again, things are never as good as they seem in week. One nor they as bad as they seem the titans are nine point favorites in this game that projects to be negative game flow which means I think you can consider garden. Minju DFS maybe two quarterback. We probably don't want to play him just yet a one quarterback league, but you could consider him I think Chenault Dj Tara my favorite plays with the Jaguars nine point underdogs I want to see how they play from behind I. Think James Robinson is more of a flex type of option for Jacksonville? On. The other side Titans move the ball decently had a tough time kicking field goals as we all saw, what are you see for?.

"Williams Thompson Robinson Nah half Pr. Williams Thompson. Robinson. Williams Robinson. Thompson. Okay. Last question, would you start William? Would you start? Chris Thompson Rather Chris Thompson over Ronald Jones or Leonard Fournette. In. Just. One hundred percent. Okay. All right. Let's. Go to our next game here colts TST stardom Cleveland Baltimore Ravens are eight point favorites. Total is forty, eight one. I would say the shining moment of the brown season was a week four, win forty, two, twenty, five at Baltimore that are really good game, Nick Chubb at a huge game twenty carries one, hundred, sixty, five yards, three touchdowns brand Williams did not play in that game he will be playing in this game. Nose tackle for the Ravens we already talked about Nick Chub, he's a start. He'd like some better than Jamie. He's not in the top twelve this week James got him just outside the top twenty. He's got I'm like around fifteenth or so. So we talked about nick. Chubb we're sitting Baker Mayfield. What about Kareem Hunt guys in the Ravens I don't know what's going to carry over from year to year. This is not a stat that often does carry from year to year, but they were incredibly good against pass catching running backs lessees. So incredibly good. They were the best. they allowed the. Third fewest receiving Garcia running back. So we're. Lease reception. Okay. Yeah. Terrific stuff. So what do you think about Kareem Hunt this week? To Sit. I'm starting him. He is outside my top twenty four. I would consider him a flex. Veteran PBR the non Dr but again, you know it's it's. Continuity, your defense team offense new offensive line could be great for the browns they attitude significant pieces. So factor that into their running game as well. But I just think if can avoid tough match ups and you have better options, I would try and sit Kareem Hunt it's it's harder to do a job because we anticipate him getting more carries but I think this is a guy. That is not a must start this week because I don't know how many people drafted him to be a dark on drafted based on ADP as a third running back or flex, and I think that's where he is. Yeah. I clarify I'm starting him and I've got him ranked to the starter and most the time when I draft him I didn't draft two running backs before him right. There's not a running back that was drafted in the first three rounds that I would start Kareem Hunt over. So if you took two running backs before you took Kareem Hunt then he's Affleck's bust. Then just. Tie and like I would start John Taylor over three months without hesitation Okay. What about the Cleveland Wide Receivers? How would you rank Kareem Hunt and the Cleveland wide receivers. Beckham Hunt Landry. But sympathized, right? Yeah I. Don't like Beckham this beekeeper. Okay, well Landry did well against Baltimore last year he killed them. And he's one hundred percent. That's the thing. I mean I I kinda think he is isn't he practicing in full? I I do not believe he has any hesitation in terms of his plane. I. Didn't see anything about him missing practice, but you know he's still coming back from, hip? Surgery. So. I don't WanNa, play him if I don't have to. Okay. Fair Enough Beckham. Is Beckham in the top twenty four. He's not. He is just barely for me like he's right on the French I would start will fuller decision Jackson Dj. Char. Scored Against Baltimore in their second match up. But he had two. Catches against them in their first meeting. Yeah, and Mike's. In the two games, Marlin Humphries GonNa make me stuff on back. Yeah and you know what? They were bad against the slot last year but Marlon Humphrey I they actually. On young back this year, he was supposed to be there slot corner. He missed the season with a neck injury. So their secondary, even without Earl Thomas I mean their take on young as a big addition just getting back. Healthy. That's Baltimore we're talking about. Austin Hooper started it. I would sit in. I I would prefer to sit him I'd I'd much rather starts Blake Darwin but there's not a lot of other of the waiver white like the my favorites tied in those young guys herndon and get sixty just terrible matchup. They can't start those guys over her I would start Jack Doyle and Air Iran ogre awesome prisoner start Lamar Jackson Mark Ingram starter said muster. Yeah. The must for sure in in non PBR NPR, you're starting them too. I mean he's a borderline twenty four guy for me but I'd start over Marlon Mac and I think those guys are kind of the same type of spot. Favorites from Baltimore. That's always GonNa be good setup Kareem Hunt, or Ingram PR Ingram. I've got run on dire. Okay. MARQUEES BR Markey's Brown is interesting Davis. Got Him in the top ten heats. Got Him thirty fifth. He's got them right in the middle twenty fifth. Interesting why? So low on Marcus Brown? This week first off there's like nineteen number two wide receivers about that. The addressees like people didn't want to take number two wide receivers there. It's just like there's certainly a lot of upside from archies Brown. We saw two or three times last year. But because of the way this offense works. There's a very good chance. He sees five or six targets to, and there's not really any wide receivers with five or six targets that are going to make it into my top twenty five wide wide receiver project it for seven. That's that's pretty low for a starting wide receiver the average just under eight targets in his first five games last year. Part of that was a couple big games to start the season but. I always look at scenarios whenever there's a story line. That you hear a lot about especially in this type of off season where there is were just tweaking things as opposed to what learning things. Lamar Jackson and Marcus. Brown's been allowed time together off season South Florida. We're going to throw the ball more work on the deep ball he bulked up. He's healthy like there. There's a lot to we're GONNA take some shots in this game, and so I see where Dave is being bold with it like he could hit, he could have a two touchdown game it would not shock. Also eat suggesting you know five six targets. Fifty sixty yards and not do much. I think it's GonNa be a a seventy eighty, our game, and if he scores he's going to be in that you know. upper-echelon. Rogers us. All Right Start Mark Andrews start the Ravens. DSP. And let's go to Tennessee Denver on Monday night you know look no Chris Harris Know von Miller now. So I, you know you guys are pretty name Bradley Chubb Mostly. A. Pitch Count Yeah this is a game that I have changed my thinking on probably the most since I I did rankings on Monday because without Miller without Chub or at least without Shrub for a big part of the game. I think this now looks like another one of those games where Tennessee wins and when Tennessee wins Tennessee runs. So it's just like fire up Derrick Henry and everyone else at your own risk even Aj Abram I think Aj. Lebron's going to have a game if he's helped if I'd like to see Jay Brown like definitely be a full practice participant for the rest of the league like I. Have Him as a as a start in start set. And it could be because his historic percentage a little bit lower than it typically will be based on the injury concern. So I like to avoid guys that are you know over eighty percent started in call but if he practices by Friday like I'm not moving if he doesn't practice by Friday, then he's going to be replaced over those that are reading the column. Now you're gonNA see a different name that spot but. Like. The way he finished the way this matchup sets like I get what he's saying and I'm totally with it. It's not like they're just not throwing the ball you know. So I, just this is the type of player that you know. He doesn't need a huge amount of targets. He was seeing a significant uptick and targets by the season so you know I again continuity. Great Matchup Great Situation National Stage you know how many times were against. This this setup for a the titans opening Monday night football. I know that the second game but still open the season on Monday night football. Where you get an opportunity to showcase one of the best young talent civil be clear. I, I was I was I was not saying I wouldn't start Aj thinking. Ahead of Marquees Brown I. Got Him ahead of Chart..

"On the other side the Jacksonville Jaguars what what I mean. Who is this running back dude? I don't even know this guy you mean, you mean James. Robinson who is Ross. You're you're one AA or or a football championship subdivision fan you went to state. Illinois State Guide. So. Here's the deal with these running backs if I'm playing one of them. And that's a big if because I prefer to be sitting on the sidelines here just to watch at Shakeout it's Chris Thompson the scat back got a little nugget for you here, Ross. Like Nuggets Love Nuggets I got a nugget for you in J. Gruden's eight four years as a head coach or offensive coordinator. His leading Reuters. Average fifteen receptions per season. Never more than twenty two. Average. You've got guys on talking Ben Jarvis Green. Adrian Peterson Alfred Morris like these guys just do not catch passes and you can say, well, it's the talent whatnot but Jay Gruden has always employed a scat back what dating back Giovanni Bernard and then of course Chris Thompson in Washington has Chris Thompson here in Jacksonville. So with the Jaguars expect going to be an underdog a hell of a lot this year they're going to be throwing a lot I think Chris Thompson is. Going to be out there quite a bit. So when I, when I, if I'm looking to play Jacksonville Gardner Minzhu is a low NDF option because they'll be playing from behind. This is going to be a good defense though so just be careful there but the front seven I think is particularly loaded and that's why James Robinson and Divino Zippo are probably on my bench this week I want to see how this shakes out. She was a low end kind of cheap the best option with some game script upside. Meanwhile, you're definitely playing DJ chart and I'm being a very, very close eye on La. Viscous. Chenault, the rookie wide receiver, the how how could they use him? Could he essentially play a Scott Back Kinda Role? It's not enough for me to consider playing him in a lineup in week one, but I definitely want to see what his role is. You're for Jacksonville they have no reason not to use him. This is a team that's GONNA lose a lot of games at the young guys involved. Let's move onto the bears and the lions. We know it's trubisky on the road in Detroit? Other than Allen Robinson is there a bear skill guy that should be your could be in any lineups? Yeah. I'd probably put three Cohen in my lineups. Now bears are on our narrow underdogs three point underdogs here so that that would suggest a moderately positive passing game script for Chicago..

"Well Chris Thompson is actually had the most graphically rank that first game because that that run game has been so ineffective especially on first and second down they've got behind the change that then and that spot on third down if so what they've had to do is actually try to find out different ways began to mimic that run game you know with a lot of screens and and and short quick passes them and and things like that on early downs because the writing just have to be get cnet so I am expecting to see a ton of Chris found it again I can't say he's been the most your guide to the first two games out at the next day and you know you're straight traditional runs but trying to get him the ball out on the edge then in different ways they're trying to figure out a different ways to get some early down success when it's run game isn't going so they referred to a lot of the quick game this week so I'm expecting a lot more of that kind of stuff you know get the ball out of your hands quickly just get somebody on the edge try to get guys out in space because it's you know you're going to get up but they don't have been working so far premium the defense is getting healthier against an offense in the bears that his struggle so far through the first two weeks how do you see this playing out tomorrow night. well this is their opportunity if you're gonna talk about this defense finally stepped it up this seems to be their chance to give the Chicago team that struggled against your fifty that struggle it's so it if they can't get it right. who who knows that I have a you know they still you know this is in the high is going to be the hardest part of their schedule week everybody can the new that coming in you know you've got or playoff teams in the first five weeks and now it looks like re energized during the next week possibly and with the patriots wait let their two weeks from now so. to be kind of an opportunity everybody can account is that New York game as Hey there the best chance of those or to get a win but life would be much better around here if they can get we going out tomorrow night in BC there are probably two and three after those first five weeks thanks so much for a couple minutes greatly appreciate and enjoy the game tomorrow night absolutely thanks for having a girl hi Coreen couple of The Washington Post before the red skins and bears meet tomorrow night so Jody week three with the exception of two games in the books and September is a little deceiving but we have T. five teams so far at three am O. N. of another can get there tomorrow night or tonight the rams in the Monday night game first team to fourteen points when I found out right now and maybe get some fourteen which I don't know that either team well whoever gets there first will end up winning that game which of the three you know start so far do you think is deceiving. deceiving bills the cowboys the problem in Niners and the Niners getting beaten some suspect teams up what a yeah couple they put up a forty five last week the Steelers breaking in a new quarterback I don't know the didn't nine is gone.

"Were the two who were in the parking lot read by the the limo has filed a lawsuit against the apple barrel restaurant when we thought we were talking yesterday that was seem like an odd thing to suit in all I'm not target channel ten actually caught up with the attorney who's working for the woman who lost her husband and father his name is Michael Walford. that the restaurant had noticed that there was. the potentially dangerous situation that could in fact have been appointed they could have called the parking lot they could have put up they could have done a number of things they chose to do nothing. again we're not attorneys didn't read the briefer whatever's been filed so far but I think it's a bit of a stretch to to help hold the restaurant liable I you know I think so too I understand I understand they're grieving and they want everyone who played a role in this to be held accountable unfortunately I think this might be a little bit misguided right it the issues with the intersection in the speed limit and with the tea and if there's anyone to be held responsible for the faulty intersection then it's D. O. T. they really can help where the parking lot is is as across the street that's their property as were at it's where it is and you'd mentioned I I think early this morning that may be the little company only had maybe five hundred thousand dollars in insurance and so maybe they're just looking for any source of money but while I understand that the pain this woman must be and I don't know what that feeling is kind of too bad that the restaurants not have to spend money to defend itself I just don't see how they're responsible for the intersection and I I got it just got an email that from a listener I'll pass it along I am able to kick in you know confirm it independently maybe you've heard this before he said that the deal to move that intersection was current location there's a school bus and dump truck accident many years ago that's sort of the DOT look for solutions the old intersection hence where it is now and the restaurants been there long before that move that's what one person says so I find it easy believe that that's true and even if it isn't I just don't see how you can blame the apple there and listen I I also see the apple beryl's almost almost a victim of this as well it happened on their property and they come to work everyday and they're reminded of the twenty lives that were lost there and they have really gone out of their way to be accommodating to the families and creating the space for families to come with the memorial and and pay their respects and and reflected remember and I feel that part of that there's sort of a victim of this to indirectly really interesting case the legal case I think any worker can relate to and if you're into really into politics or media. you know it'll it'll be even more interesting but I think it it resonates with everybody there's a guy Chris Thompson who's very well known in media circles political circles as well long time state Senate GOP aide of a lot of people remember him as being the chief spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno he had a deep resume be out before that as well. Rensselaer delay Anne was work for the DA's office you before that was a long time news reporter so he's a he's got a lot of experience both in were in media and in politics and he was working for to have to Jordan part of the responsibilities included going to the happened diner for meetings on how to reach out to the Greek community and get them more involved and get them to big contributors to the campaign and so. when he was working for the Bruno team he had been there a couple of times and they were very they were very vocal about their if opinions on Joe Bruno and make comments to crescent and it was almost like they were he felt uncomfortable and that they were harassing him every time he walked in so he told her that he would not want to go to a meeting there and that fact that he was not going to go to a work meeting at that establishment and she use that is grounds for termination so my question is if you are expected to work in an environment that's openly hostile to you and you've expressed that to your employer that your workplace is hostile is that really refusing to do your job I mean as a fireball offensive her of any other issue. sorry. they asked him to dress up as a leprechaun and tell a wagon of candy and a parade. so he was like absolutely not he says I felt that I felt that my direct supervisor again state center Daphne Jordan finally to my basic human rights by directing me to wear clothes not be fitting of a sixty one year old grown man. sing me up as a leprechaun is wrong so this by the way we should say this is all reported by Brendan lines in the the times union yeah and so Thompson it has filed a human rights complaint of in it in in regarding his dismissal so this is good you know sort of there's a lot of there are some tax but it's like he said she said and one one thing I thought was interesting is that he had also said in this complaint according to Brendan lines that he was escorted by after he was fired the capital by Jordan with a couple other staff members there he was escorted by a Senate sergeant at arms from the senator's office to his car at the empire state plaza parking garage quote like a criminal rather than a nineteen year old a nineteen year government employee with a remarkable career you know I just think that standard operating procedure when someone is fired here escorted to your car that's a common thing it really is I don't know I that I would cite that as a as a reason for anything either yeah that's just that's just they're operating procedure but be expected to work in a openly hostile environment and be expected to dress up as a leprechaun and and told wagon it handy that's not in your job description no and I guess in you can spin it openly hostile and work environment and by the same token you know its your boss is asking to meet somewhere and it's not necessarily have to you too. of the venue when I was a star club. I mean that be maybe another that would clearly be maybe maybe case for sexual harassment I think a diner would be somewhat less country what about. like a case by case casino or a gag the gambling operation are you now okay we've also tell you this before and I'm not saying I know what really happened I think there is a he said she said all the to all this I'll tell you this much but before I would tell my boss I don't approve it and then you will not come here meeting I would have to be very very I would be very considerate before I came to that sounds like I don't know what it sounds like he had told her just before this isn't the first time he he had gone he had gone into isn't he went three times a week and and enter this for three times a week and I was finally like I'm not doing this anymore. so it'll be interesting to see anyway of formal I guess human rights complaint has been filed with the state we'll see we'll see what happens with their you would gladly dressed up as a lot lately I went with that but that's me and that's not everybody talking Kelly eight forty three..

"It to be a male Redskins report with Trevor Matich brought to you by main street bank Trevor good morning Sir good morning great to have you with us a couple big names popping up in the headlines I Darius guys Jordan reed of the big ones what happen to both of those men well Jordan we got a concussion and that is yes seven gosh and so that is not a good thing yeah there is guys who youngster predator with a great deal and so it was two different directions for those guys yeah I know it's been a year since we've seen Darius guys he was knocked down the pre season last year he was and the first preseason game he hurt his knee severely tore his ACL and the great thing about his return was that he was able to take a lot of punishment deliver a lot of punishment and by all accounts that knee held up and so good and that's what we need is yeah you started really on the first drive where he had one run civil last were a tackler came in and dies this form his head I drove him into the ground and kept running nevertheless sideline another defender came up and tried to **** them out of miles but guys through shoulder into the guy knocked him to the ground and end up standing over hysterical err on the side line and I got I was checking out was a guy he played against when that defender was at the university of Florida and guide to the real issue so he either by a particular desire to punish that guy because of their relationship at college so getting through those kinds of physical here was one of the most important things for guys in this game yeah and it makes for great football but unfortunately it seems like a great running attack is increasingly a rarity in the NFL as so many teams turn to to throwing the ball all of the time it does though do the Redskins have a talented running core right now between various guys in Adrian Peterson they do and they Chris Thompson and then a couple of a talented youngsters vying for that fourth spot the issue though is that they still can't sleep well and figure that all those guys are going to be fully healthy guys had a history of injury in college and then last year was heard a media lease so basically it's it's hold your breath every time he touches the ball it's really shows long term he can stay healthy Chris Thompson is one of the best third down backs in the NFL all because history of injury and Adrian Peterson is a hundred and five years old well yeah they have a really good job three running backs I mean really good yeah but they've got a hole in together with duct tape in a paperclip until they show otherwise let's talk case Keenum is see the new starting quarterback but I think he is I think that he did a lot of really good things and one of her Ripley awful thing but overall he was able to move the team he was able to solve problems within the offense and he threw the ball pretty well and on the other side has his I thought did a nice job in the second half but yeah he didn't take over the starting job so I think right now they are settled with case Keenum as a starter Haskins the backup of cold McCoy who is still to injure he still is not fully healthy is once again in a really bad position because the poor kid the poor kid every time it's been his time to show what he can do his body has betrayed him and that's after we get so now merry the most I can definitely case Keenum to start to see yeah but meanwhile you could have Tom Brady but if he's not supported by a talented front line it makes things difficult for a quarterback how does the offense of line look well for the most part I mean eighty percent of it looks pretty good the right side we we know what it is left tackle Donald Penn started for the first time this preseason he's the thirty six year old former Oakland raider they started off the street the provides in depth of print Williams doesn't come back it looks like he won't and he did a really good job if I had he played with the starters in the first at left guard is still a work in progress Eric flowers in the former first round draft choice to decide to try to solidify that position and this is hard if the defender stays in front of them he mall so if they don't stay in front of them he has a lot of trouble tracking them yeah he really look like a giant grizzly bear up what is hind legs was CE instruments moves and so that was good it was bad from flowers but the band was really bad he got the quarterback just rushed one time because he couldn't stay in front of a guy and he held on various guises one yard touchdown run because he couldn't stay in front of a job and so that position is still a work in progress but left tackle can looks like a serviceable replacement for the elites Trent Williams if Williams doesn't come back all right well we're winding down this preseason soon the points well count that starts September eighth when they face the eagles but for now Trevor manage thank you for the analysis right hi six forty three W. a male Hey is there a green here most of you know me by my risk his Jersey number twenty eight and as a pro football hall of Famer I played in three super bowls put awash in red skin so Bruce Allen, President of the Washington Redskins, Talks Training Camp

"Get you're saying welcome to football season it's the third week of July for crying out loud the Napster for games out in playing very well it's it's hard to shift your gears but it's red skins well I'm sure here so I guess you know the great thing about training camp is you lose sight of everything because you're with the players from six AM to eleven PM yeah and we are we're inundating them with football football football understandable and then not not running with the bulls or anything like that no we had a talk did you have a conversation with Mister Norman about you know I wasn't a fan of you dancing you know with the debt limit stars yet but I have you dance with the women that dance with the book yeah I think it probably a good choice hi this is your fourth year now in Richmond for our six year is six I'm so sorry for under and and what it turned out it was today I we're on break right now but the fans will be coming back relationship still strong with the city here it's it's strong with the city with you know Richmond is really one of the big NFL markets there in the top ten in television ratings while for every Monday night game the Super Bowl the draft so there's a lot of foot NFL fans here and obviously this is rights can country can you know the time pretty well could you at the governor just won't come on my show I don't I'm not sure why he's been in the news a lot lately could you could you give me a hook up there we've we've heard from the office and we're expecting him to come to practice either Friday maybe this weekend so give me a heads up on that I'll swing by for fat all right let I got to talk about the Redskins in the season ahead of us who's your starting quarterback Jeez I was wondering if you'd asked me that question that hasn't been determined yet the Philly is anybody's job yeah that would Jay's been doing as you saw in the first practice is each player's a cold case and Wayne are all getting equal amount of wraps and they're working with the first in the second and the third groups and we're not going to worry about that for a while now I know why shouldn't loves a quarterback controversy as much as independent counsels yeah right now we're going to let him continue to work and continue to grow and and of course it was talking about do what's happening with your left guard right now the the offensive line seems a little a little different without without are at the heart of the team without Trent there what's what's happening there you have news on that old out no news on it he's not here we love them but he's not here and is everybody talking I mean either you having conversations at least to work through this yeah it's really Trent tranice explained his position to me and we'll see what happens but right now we have to focus on the guys were here well if it listed as we had a great time last season obviously it was an incredible start you superseded everybody's expectations of the B. first half of the year and then these injuries com and it does ask question in that it's got to kill you obviously when you see these injuries in these guys are a part of your family and and you get to know them so much what is it about the red skins it seems is it is it the turf is it the the the program that you've got for strength and conditioning I mean I've seen your facilities there their top of the line you know Larry we we brought in some independent people to try and analyze the different injuries and after spending about eight weeks of our time and their time they came back with the you know there's no correlation is just the fleet demand yeah you know if it was just pulled muscles are growing sin and things soft tissue type of things then it would be the training regimen but we broke some bones we separated some shoulders we pulled some calf muscles we pulled we did it we did a mall you got everything that we share it was hopefully goes in the cycle and and it and it all happened the cowboys I don't wish injuries on any but I do but not us our receipt with Bruce Allen president of the red skins here on day one of training camp that between now that Lester yeah the jets here and they they were thugs right they were day beaten up on our players and our fans what team comes in at the end of this season will be the bangles because that's the first preseason game it didn't work out with the bangles okay so we're we're not gonna have any team come to Richmond we're just we're gonna work is our our own units and then get ready to play the Bengals ran by the way you this goes through what August fourteenth I want to say off the top of my head I believe a right right in there if you guys want to come down here for a beautiful long weekend or just take a couple of days off Richmond is incredibly hospitable and it's a really cool atmosphere don't cost anything to come in the gate no it caught the cost nothing I I do know someone bought a beer a Budweiser very early this morning that that was that I just bought that for the picture I can actually drink the beer I'm workin Bros an hour but it's not it's not get me in trouble or allies I have more questions if you'd like me to ask the group if we're trying to get each other in trouble well no we appreciate the business thank you for let's let's talk about what your expectations are for this season I know on the first day of training camp everybody thinks that we got a chance at the Superbowl instructing the parity in the NFL is incredible but the if you read the press accounts you guys don't have a chance to make it past the first week it all and that's a good thing that's motivating right yeah it's it's it's our players understand that expectations with you don't national outlets is in great for us the the cowboys in the eagles on the eagles have been a very good team that won the Superbowl couple years ago but we can make our own history and that's that is the message here and if you see the shirts that the players are wearing they say everything matters and so we're gonna try and get the details down here in Richmond and trying to get ready for opening gaming and win again when I was talking to the fans here during the the first half of the day for the first practice they were all raving about the draft and do something about this draft in particular that has given so much hope and excitement to the fans odd that talk about your draft talk about the strategy that you have there and who you really look I mean obviously you want all of them to to start eventually but who are you really looking after this season from at twelve each day is very important for the young players and and any new player that comes in to to the red skins or any team because I got to learn the new terminology the new systems and learn their new teammates and what they can count on from their teammates so the young players it's very important for him they're working really hard and we are excited about a week we see great things for them here's where those so you you want to make it a starting quarterback right now is pretty much up for grabs a everybody yes several out of that out of the next ten minutes there goes that that career option starting running back kind of the same situation right even Adrian Peterson obviously coming back but he's not necessarily in you know every down kind of running back right we use a group runny back system for a number of years eight Adrian obviously looks beautiful and is the best body out here him in Vernon Davis it's a tie between who the best body is in any way once again you're not station but Chris Thompson's been such a valuable asset for us on third down and out of the backfield but getting various guys back yeah watching the compile competition for them I was injured right around this time like third day of training camp last one of the first preseason game against overstressed hatred and that and and awful awful but having various guys back and he's he's healthy hundred resign and he's he's healthy knock on wood please not cancel that service thank all right so no conversation with you is complete we're gonna have plenty conversations I understand we're gonna we're gonna you're gonna be a regular here on the program over the course of the year so what's going on with the stadium the stage where we gonna be where we gonna be we do not have that announcement yet you'll you'll get to hear when we do expect to make an announcement about a new stadium new home for the Redskins sometime this year I would say within a year of that if that is the time table we're looking at our deadline for making the decision is really twenty twenty two because our lease and in Maryland and sin and twenty twenty six and so yeah but they don't build around here like they do in Vegas like that they they made the that stadium for the raiders was built in like three months out there I it's going to take a longer to building here well there's history in this city for when they're motivated they can do anything they want to do when I interviewed the president and he said he'd like to come to a red skins game what was the reaction in the front office there an aspirin when you were when you were here and that we look at that residence we have we have pictures of red skin park of the presidents of come over the years and it's it's it's it's part of the greatness of this franchise legacy is we're in the nation's capital and we think that's remains as a present wants to go to a game the president redskin says you'd love to have him at the game so I got to be the mediator I got to work this out I get get everybody in the same room and a negotiated down your your on board for this yeah but I thought you had the secretary of state coming to the game no no I left him down and when is that our Bruce down as a present right you want the president to come to the game alright we got a lot of Redskins fans here want that T. R. Bruce thank you and I know you're busy have a good time with with training camp here thanks

The NFL's best and worst offensive arsenals: Barnwell's 32-1 ranking

"Barnwell writes these very lengthy pieces on E._S._p._N.. Dot Com and he wrote a piece that that came out early this morning ranking the N._F._L.'s. Goals offensive arsenals thirty two worst all the way to number one <hes> and basically you know he's considering how the players that the teams have will perform in twenty nineteen. He's not necessarily really just basing it off of recent <hes> recent performance. He's he's he's guessing on what you know. It will be in two thousand nineteen any says also that the as as a preface it with a lengthy the preview before he started ranking them of course in love with is that the arsenals are weighted <hes> the arsenal rankings are weighted more towards receivers than tight ends or running backs <hes> any says also the top elite level talent wins out over depth anyway the rankings start with the thirty second ranked offense of Arsenal Jacksonville Bennett's Denver Miami Seattle and then the Redskins so the redskins have the fifth worst offensive offensive arsenal in the N._F._l.. According to a bill barnwell any rights the investments Washington is made it wide receiver haven't worked out former former seahawks wide out Paul Richardson signed to a five year forty million dollar deal wasn't healthy and Seattle and cautious watches twenty passes in seven games last season former first rounder. Josh DACHSHUND hasn't developed in Washington. Just decline the fifth year option on Dachshund Jamison crowder left the jets <hes> mister relevant Trey Quinn will be as replacement Jay Gruden gruden drafted Terry maclaurin in the third round but there but is there any reason to think Washington is going to start developing whiteouts effectively. This is likely the league's worst group of starting wide receivers while that's the kind those kind the tools you wanNA put around a rookie quarterback and you know the funny thing is according to warn sharp. This is the most expensive offense in the N._F._l.. This mostly costly offense. Well take the field the N._F._l.. Because of the Investment Alex Smith and you know that is not going to write to pay off <hes> yes so I mean again another reason why you you WanNa put this on this limited offense in the hands hands of a quarterback who understands limitations in that case keenum. It's Cole McCoy too but I'm going to operate on the assumption that cultures isn't going to stay healthy so <hes> that's case keenum you don't want to <hes> experiment and test out a rookie <hes> with these with these kind of weapons <hes> especially if you're Jay Gruden and you know you have the expectation or the hope and we're assuming he does is of of having team good enough for him to remain as head coach. You know what's interesting. I was thinking about this as I was reading this early this morning. <hes> that the redskins according to Barnwell look I mean I don't know if it's the worst it's certainly among the five for six worst greg in a starting wide receiver groups and the N._F._l.. And we we know that you know in terms of offensive weapons they don't have much. I mean you have to pray. The Jordan Reed comes back plays thirteen games in his Jordan Jordan Reed again. You got to hope that Chris Thompson is a weapon out of the backfield. The dairy skies pays off as a second round pick and turns into a a guy that with Adrian Peterson is a big time back that that that <hes> Vernon Davis continues to be effective in it somebody somebody whether it's Richardson Dachshund or Harmon or maclaurin. Somebody steps up you.

"We did think it was a deep corner and safety draft. So we did fill like long term for the Rams in the second third round. You might be able to get one of those players. Well, as long as that specialty back third down back in some inside linebackers play specialties, but we were more thinking backers later, so we felt like in that top one hundred we were gonna come away with a deal a DS and a and a an corner in this draft. Riems Dan lessening joining us on Keyshawn l z and Travis Daryl Henderson goes in the third round less. You guys pick him out of Memphis. Why that player in that spot? Well, we in. I think I said at the press conference early in first year, we brought in Lance Dunbar. And and to really I call it feel his Chris Thompson role at Washington because we've never had that John Rao of back and shown really really particular in. How they can run routes how natural hands they can they have in in almost one route similar to slot receiver. So last two years in the draft, we have gone out in private some of these backs to see, you know, if they fit the mold if they make Sean standards in running that route if you do split the backout, you know, similar to slot receiver. So it really really I call it prunes list. Now, the one or two people last year, we really liked the, you know, the Hines kid who went to Indianapolis this year, we really liked Henderson in that role. So felt like it was time to to grab that person for so less need a manager of the Los Angeles. Rams. Join us here on Keyshawn Z and Travis you wanna draft in my opinion, as far as.

"Maybe he will. But if Adrian doesn't come back is the assumption that full health dairies is going to be the guy the workhorse because it feels like a good thing about Darius is he doesn't have to come out on third down. And what surprises the most about him in the off season and training campuses ability. Catch the ball. We didn't know that LSU didn't really have a lot of opportunity catch it. So watch him catch a ball run option routes. He's he's good at that to first of all I gotta ask this again, you saw Jay was like he put his hand out to shake your hand. You went for full man hug. Well, I mean, listen, I was busy on buttoning. My shirt. At the time. You as soon he put his hand out shake his hand. Matthew germs. I met j a number of times. He is. He is very familiar with my fan boy them as very patient with me, very kind, man. And so yeah, it was great to have a chat with him. And appreciate his time. But to me, I think the most interesting thing that he talked about was there doesn't need to come off the field on third down. We've talked about this a little bit that I've said this on Twitter before that dairies guy says much better pass catcher than people give him credit for as j reference. They didn't really use them that way at LSU, but he has that skill set in. So that's on the becomes kind of interesting. It does become kind of interesting thing is odd from but it's sort of like, the the juxtaposition is this. He has the ability to play on third down. But if he's coming off of a major knee injury when he had an infection. Can we reasonably expect him to be an every down Bax find you? I just I think it's a leap to say. Right now, I can't say that he won't become that. But I really really want us to wait until we get to precent you're going to hear me say this again is going to be the activity in training camp. What's the progression? Because remember even guy who had a normal pathway post ACL early on could still hit a bump in the road. When you're getting back to football activity is this understanding that it's February and it's way too early. But like would Darius Geiss be your Delvin cook of twenty eighteen where you were saying I'm concerned concerned. Everyone doesn't not everyone else is taking this seriously as I feel like I would I not draft this person. Like, do you right now would be that person for you? I'm going to be concerned more concerned than I was about Alvin cooked because of the particular history Darius guys, and then that being said if they're talking about he's going to be this every down back. I I would point to delve and cook as example of doing too much too soon. I literally just watch Matthew break out into a cold sweat explaining all of those things interesting and coach and talk about that a little bit about you know, he'd like to have Adrian back. We'll see how that all works out the business of the NFL, but just any made a reference to the fact, obviously the Redskins have had tons of injuries the last two years, and so given sort of the walk that the team has had more depth at every position, especially when it's crucial running back will be helpful. But Darius guys somebody who's ADP. I think will be all over the place. No question because I don't know how you could possibly rank with any level of competence until you see him back on a football field. Right. Right. But like in like, you could talk. Hey like, you could talk yourself into them. Like, hey, let's assume Peterson. Sign atop Rita back like tons of volume especially because they got questions at the quarterback position. And you think about Adrian Peterson was like eight and rushing yards last year. Like could guys have that kind of season. But then on the other hand, you're right. The concerns of like bringing Chris Thompson and on third down and just the inefficiency of that offense and coming off of major surgeries to find you reference. So that somebody who I think his ADP. Whoa. Fluctuate wildly throughout August. Yeah. I agree on that. We'll see whether he plays it all during the preseason..

Friday following an MRI Adam Schefter on sportscenter with Kevin. Gandhi what does this injury? Mean now for gruden's. Offense it's a major. Blow having you heard the numbers. There they've been one of the worst rushing teams in the. NFL they moved onto Alex Smith and thought they found a running back to compliment him only to lose him in the first game of the preseason to a season ending torn. ACL they also lost a tight end garner for the season with a torn, ACL but guys who the major blow Last night this. Might have been the most anticipated rookie in the Washington. Area since RG three came? Onto the scene and. Now without him they're. Going to have to lean on. A combination of running backs Somare GP Ryan rob Kelley Chris.
