"See teams you look at even this year in this year's playoffs you got you got a lot of teams that run the football. Well, um, you know, not just, um, the Titans. But look, look who they're playing in the playoffs, You know, playing the Ravens. The Ravens obviously have have a great running quarterback, but they run the football well, and, uh You know, you s so anyway. So, yes, I think that running game is still very valuable. Um, there's a certain couple quarterbacks. Probably that maybe you would say, don't need a running running game. But for the most part, I think Going on on Sunday. In this league, you need to be had run the football. Barry Sanders is with me. Here. You're acting now as an advisor for the Detroit Lions in helping them with their coaching search and the general manager. Search. What can you tell us about the process? Well, no. I mean, um, yeah. I mean, the process was started. Chris Spielman eyes pretty much leading the search. You know, they're interviewing coaches. Um, you know, you look at our situation. Mike and you lose double digit games consecutive seasons. You, you know, you gotta Take drastic measures, you know, And so I think that's what we are. You know, but but we got a good man in the in the good men on the case. I was saying Chris Spielman. He's been around the game. He knows the game and and he loves the Lions football. He has a deep connection. The line's history, You know, so so that's what we are, I think We'll come up with the best candidate for the position on gay move forward and and hopefully next year on DSA soon after we're talking about Lions playoffs, you know, because that's what we wanna be. Looking for some hope there. No question. The great Barry Sanders is with us today. Brought to you by rocket mortgage. What can you tell us about the program, Barry? Of Mike. Here's how it works. I mean, it's rocket. Morgan Sue both swears it was a huge success last year, you know, it's just a great opportunity for fans to win a lot of cash and rocket mortgage. So you go to rocket mortgage stories dot com and find out the details, But Basically Mike every score change in the game. Fans have a chance of winning $50,000. So you score touchdown. That's $50,000 extra point after his 50,000 obviously field goals and safeties and things like that, you know, and then to lucky fans have a chance to win half a million dollars toward a dream home. So So again, just a great opportunity for fans to be involved in the Super Bowl, you know and win a lot of cash and again. We're looking to repeat on last year's success when we gave away rocket boys gave away $1.75 million to Various fans so So, yeah, just a fun way to be a part of the game. You know, In addition to obviously had been the biggest game in the world, you know, maybe your favorite team isn't playing in the game. And so it's another reason to be involved in games so again, go to rocket mortgage squares dot com. Find out more about it. And maybe you can you can, you know, take home some cash. Sounds like fun. Yes, like you. My favorite team isn't playing in the game. Either. Your your lions and my jets will not be there in a month. A Barry, It's great to see you as always stay healthy, Happy New year and we'll catch up down the road. Right. Thanks for having me, man. Take care. You two. That's Barry Sanders, one of the all time greats. I said it yesterday. He is that Not only did he have probably the greatest college season ever. I just told you 2800 yards and 42 touchdowns, but he is also the greatest NFL player ever to win the Heisman. That was my list yesterday. If you missed it, I had him. Number one eyed O. J. Simpson, number two star back was three. Earl Campbell was four. And Bo Jackson was five coming up next Adam Schefter on the coaching carousel of Your team needs a coach. You don't want to miss it. Schefty after this word from Draftkings, you know, it's been an exciting football season. Lucky for US. Football fans is more action to be had. You may not have crowned the champion. "I can't speak to what's harder as a mind but you know clearly do case he'd had enough saw enough and said yeah. This guy is not gonna work out for us and it stinks. But i don't think they should make the franchise. Raggedy is hell especially with. His kid had ample opportunity to shine like his brothers. Did in college in high school can chose to take the path of stealing. I don't really know what to say about that. Except for lavar. Ball's lavar ball and he's gonna talk and he's really just full of hot air so fair so i think we should end on the detroit. Lions chris spielman is a fan favourite. He's back to the organization as a special assistant to the owner. Is this the thing that matters which it shows that they're actually trying whether they're going to hoodwink the fans whether they're actually serious shows. They're trying to get some engagement. They're trying to get some people who were fan favorites of the team who actually like really cared. Invested their time in blood sweat into the rosser no matter when they play. They're trying to get people like to be pumped up and like it could be a good thing. It could actually have some power. It could. Just be a figurehead. Who's like i'm here for something. But they don't really do anything could be great could be bad. We'll have to look in time and see the thing that's really encouraging for me. While the lions lose the green bay packers these last two games. They looked at different. They look like they're trying a lot harder. They look like they're doing something different. Yeah some teams do that when you get a new coach but like it's encouraging to see yell they might not win any more games this season. Like at least they're going. They're not going down without fighting. They're trying to like get better. And i can live without any fan. Just wants to see people try. That's it if they don't win these people try the problem with me which would really bothering me with the lions. Before in fact they were not trying. They were just giving up and saying well. We're down or something. Let's hope quarterback and bail us out or whatever if it doesn't work it doesn't work they were trying to actually put the game away and just could not against a great performance from aaron rodgers. Well no one expects miracle on brush street but progress is a good thing right. Definitely well fletcher sharp. Thank you so much for all of this. You can follow him on twitter at saint. "Knox is taking your calls at 808 590957. Chris Renwick is our executive producer operating from home and And Edie in and after that, that last story about the transmission of the virus and where it comes from Chris, you're most likely to get it from your wife. So stay separated this Christmas. That's all I can tell you. I'll tell you for me, That's probably the case. My wife works in the health care industry. So if I'm If I'm you know unfortunate enough to contract the virus. She probably it's the culprit. So, yeah, no, no question. No Christmas hugs this year. That's the bottom line. I wanted to ask you because you're also a football guy. What did you make of the Lions Move Bringing in. Chris Spielman, who leaves his job is a is an excellent analyst at Fox. I had the pleasure of working with Chris for for a time as as the Lions preseason play by play Man. Chris was a color man, but Chris Spielman, I covered him when he was a player back in the seventies, and Barry Sanders is joining two and Same thing. I remember covering very standards. Very, very bright guys, but that doesn't always translate into success in the front office. I'm anxious to see how the lions use their skills. No, I think that's Ah, Yeah, I think it's a good point. I think, um, you know, I think the organization has probably learned from the Matt Millen era. I think there's there's a lot Tioga back, unpack, figure out what went wrong and, um, and then kind of go from there and then you know, kind of what not to do going forward, But I think the you look at what Las Vegas did with the Raiders. They hire Mike Mayock. On. They bring in Jon Gruden and those air. Both John Gruen, obviously former head coach and handle and won a Super Bowl down in Tampa Bay, but he had been away from coaching for for over a decade. Comes back to coach Mike Mayock was an analyst for the NFL network on DSA. So I think you started. You're starting to see even more. I mean, Louis, Riddick is a guy that a lot of teams are a lot of analysts around the Country are speculating will be in line for GM position at some point again TV analyst So I don't know that it's unheard of that They're going this route. But in Detroit, obviously, it's a little bit close to our heart with everything that happened with Matt Millen. Well, that's what I was going to say is, you know that that will always be the measuring spot, you know? Is it at least better than Matt Millen and And now Bob Quinn will be added to that list, too. So they're, you know. Well, we shall see. But you know, Mr Woods been there for a few years now in that president role, and I've got to believe he knows a little bit more about football than he did when he started media. He was just admittedly, just a businessman that Sure. Yeah, No, I think baptism by fire. I mean, when you're in the mid one, you're the thick of it. Um, you know you you take it on pretty quick. Well s o u like the move. You think they could add something to the conversation? I think it's at least you know if if if Chris is willing to come on and do this, then Yeah, I'm all for it. I think Chris is a respected member of he's obviously respected member of the media. But he's you know, he's a lions legend. I mean, Chris Spielman is It. Wes Guy played it Ohio State and then played a lot of years for the lion. So, yeah, I mean, there's still a very real connection between the two parties. So, um, I think Chris is gonna I think he's gonna help out that so and so is Berry Berry is a very bright guy and obvious well, physical skills go without saying just brilliant running back. Yep, no doubt. So the Lions have got the couple people who can help them in that search, and and that's what they're there for. They're not there to coach and and become GM's. We don't think Who knows? Maybe that's down the road for them, But right now, that's not the plan. Sure. Well, and I think a lot of people could say, Well, look, you don't want too many cooks in the kitchen, right? You want a singular focus on you know who your next general manager is gonna be. And then the conversely, you're next head coach is gonna be, But I think in this case again, you bring in some people that know the game of football that know the major players. You know, no pun intended, but the people who are who are in line for gigs coming up. I think it's good to have those type of advisors on board. And you know, the other thing is I kind of admire with the Lions are doing here because what they're saying is The people we currently have in place while well meaning and doing their jobs. Well, don't have all the answers where personnel is concerned that to me is the message that she'll afford hamper sending out with this move. And saying, We need people who understand talent to understand what it takes for a team to come together, play together and you've got two of the greatest examples right there and one offense one defense in Chris Spielman and Barry Sanders. Well, I like and I think I know I did, too. And I think even like you said that, not everybody has the answers. I think that's good. If you if you feel like you need to go out and seek outside counsel and find somebody that could come in that you trust that will come in and have the best interests at heart. I think that's a that's a good thing..

"As an assistant to the owner to help lead this search, and I have to say there is part of me, and I'm sure part of many Lions fans out there that felt Oh, no flashback Matt Millen. Remember Matt Millen was a TV analyst Matt Millen was a group create a gregarious Highly opinionated linebacker. He was a tough guy. And Matt Millen was brought in by ownership. To run the franchise we needed. The resume of a winner. And that's what Matt Millen was. He'd won Super Bowls with the old Oakland Raiders. He had won a Super Bowl with the 40 Niners. Tough guy. Swashbuckling swagger. Tough guy, right? He was opinionated and he was around the league. He was an analyst. And he had this great resume had played at Penn State linebacker U And Millen was supposed to drag. The deceased corpse of the Lions into respectability. And it only got worse. And it got worse because he was a fish out of water. He was awful at the job. He did know how to scout. He did know how to draft You did know how to sign it don't have to do anything. And it was just a complete and utter failure in every way, shape or form. So much so that when I hear Matt Millen do games, I have a hard time listening to him because I go. What kind of credibility do you have, if you built arguably the worst team ever? You're supposed to football guy. And here is your football document on display. And yet when your football acumen was to build a football team, you did everything wrong. There's no accountability in television. Say whatever you want. What was going to say? Oh, you were wrong. You didn't call that blitz correctly where you were wrong. That quarterback ended up making the wrong read. They don't fire you for that. And so I'm always like, I don't know. They've hired Chris Spielman, who is not going to be the GM. So that's a plus. He's not gonna be the GM. He's not gonna oversee The personnel, But he is going to be somebody that tries to tie. I guess the football to the business and to lead the search and Have to say I have more. I have Maura optimism that Chris Spielman's not Matt Millen for two reasons. Number one. I think the lines franchise has to be smart enough now to recognize when a Matt Millen situation unfold to run away from it. But number two. I think Spielberg just smarter than Matt Millen. I d. Oh, I just I feel like he's he's less of a cartoonish character. And I know that there's a lot of people that really like my millet and swear by him. Nice guy. Everything. That's fine. You can be a great guy, but not know how to build a football team. I don't see Chris Spielman thrown on overalls and driving a fake train around his his yard, which Matt Millen became kind of a cartoon. So I'm hoping for the best, But I'm fearing the worst because the lion's always seem to fall into these types of traps. It sounds good. It's very much tool. Tim Taylor tool time after the Lion Jack. Let's get a former linebacker in but he's gonna fix everything. When Sometimes you need guys that actually been in that position before, But thankfully, Spielman will not be actually picking the players. Now earlier in the morning during stunt to a news Andrew Bogus had a story about the Cat Cafe in South Korea. Now in Seoul, South Korea, There's a cat cafe and for the holidays now they adopt and bring in stray cats. And those who Something with the adoption went wrong. And so this cat cafe, you go in there and you get a cup of coffee. Check out a book, Maybe watch some anime and you've got cats all over the place. This cat's army Alan Katz, Harper and the rubbing up against you. People love it. And I didn't know anything about cat cafes. Until the bourbon Belle Gami hip to this morass. Did you ever heard of a Cat cafe? Never in a million years until this morning show. So that's the thing this is not just in Seoul, Korea. This happens in the U. S is well, you go to a place You might just go there for an hour or so Maybe it's you get a coffee or something. Maybe there's no coffee, but you just sit amongst the cats and the cats come up and you pet him and they rub up against you and the Miao. And they say that there's a real therapy to this. Animal therapy that if you're around, but if you've ever been around horses, there's a lot of people that use horses for therapy. Dogs, cats, service animals, emotional support animals, But this is a thing and I buy it. I do buy that. I think when you're around animals they can make you feel better. There's an energy about them. There's a residence about that. There's a wavelength about them that If you've ever been around a horse, it's hard not to just feel totally at peace around that horse. You just pet it and it's calm and you're like this is a beautiful, huge creature. I don't know why Judy Mac bets on them so religiously I can't that I don't get Have been the horse races. I've thrown a few shekels on a horse race or two. I don't get the degenerate addicted to horse gambling, but I get loving horses. You know, we had Way had a girl in our school who was the horse girl? And when she was in fifth grade, she had horses all over her notebook, and she'd horses all over her backpack. Is she warhorse sweatshirts and she was all about horses. Everybody knew that Sarah loved horses. She was just the horse gal and I get it. I didn't get it. Then in fifth grade, I get it now. So the cat therapy thing I'm not here to judge that. I understand that. But I'm here to judge is dressing up all these cats and Santa Claus outfits that that is a real tough thing for May. I don't know. Now I know you guys do this with Eli. And you did. You've done this with other dogs of basket. Give them a Giants uniform. We give them a helmet. You put a mouth guard, and then we have them. Run plays. Well, you know, so I know you guys. And I'm trying to be a better D A and not judging owners of pets because I was judging before then we got Rosie the cat Tonight. I softened. She did. But when I see my in laws put You know the Christmas sweaters on the wiener Dogs? I go. This is not okay. That the wiener dogs don't want the sweaters on him. You don't. Rosie doesn't want a Santa Claus hat on her. She doesn't want to be a wrapped up in and they got for They don't need the human clothes. They don't want the booties. I don't think they want the booties. And so when I see 65 South Korean stray cats wearing a Santa Claus outfit, I go..

"I will not let him just apologize and say it was a slip me. I didn't mean to do it. Oh, Barbara. No, no, you you. This is your second one. Uh, you don't get three from you Get two. That's about it. I'm done because like you said, Dennis, he moved out of Columbus. That takes some big balls to just leave and go to come up with a good guy. Leave Columbus. This establish yourself. I'm unbiased eye. I'm not. I've seen his kids where there when they were at a national championship game where they're Ohio State shirts when they were young and everything like that, But he didn't He never ventured that way. So It made me wondered, but now I don't wonder. I know. I know exactly. It's always interesting how you position yourself like you know, over the years, Chris Spielman, You know he's done a number of games. I don't know how many times Chris Spielman's been out there and said, like, you know, Look, I don't get involved in a like we know that he loves Ohio State, and we know that time she's gonna show those biases. You know, he even says that we know that he does it. With the lions. I mean, he out, right? You know, he's calling my over there. And but you know, that's the thing. When when you put yourself out there like now, you know, that's not me. And and then you do it twice. You know you're sitting there. His reputation takes a hit now. Uh, I think for Michigan fans, there was a lot of them already, like, Okay, you know, looking at him kind of sideways. You just wonder nationally. If there's people like you know, it's his Kirk Herbstreit. Kind of is that kind of a phony is clear. Curb street fight. This guy's one more awards and everybody you know you got an award this year stand up. They're tearing down and crying because it's of awards as awards. Everybody's like you know what? You know, This guy's a true professional. That was unprofessional. A true professional being completely unprofessional. We solve all volume. The two extremes there. Right, 7349 and 18 50 Sorry. Eat, but, Hey, I got you on what's up Eric from South Carolina. What's going on, brother. All right. You know, we just make it having a good time. Got a little got a little free time, Uh, to talk basketball, you know, and current Herb Street. Well, you know. I was just his apology. But you know, and that's a conversation he had been in a living room with his buddies. You know, I think that's fine and good for him to make that kind of joke. But when you have your credibility, and you're on the stage is drawing even if what Michigan did was true unless you had absolute proof that that's what we were doing. You should never come out of your mouth and say something like that. Because, you know, I mean, he know how Michigan fans, are He? No. We are not gonna take this kind of crap. Land down. He know what kind of former players You know, the players that we have on the team now may not have known knowing the success that you know Paris teens has had against Ohio State, but he know we are very proud institution of very proud..

"All right. Chris Spielman said that he wanted that. Neither coach to the Detroit lines at one point Mm. Yes, he is He a viable candidate for that job or not. No. I think he would be more of a viable candidate. Be the general manager, His brothers, the general manager of the Vikings, I think that you could make the case that you know that Chris could be the general manager of the Lions. But No, I would like somebody that is, you know, he's been a broadcaster, and I know that we've seen someone like my act. Just if went from, you know the broadcast booth and And we know that the Lions the last time out doesn't mean that they definitely shouldn't look at one. Just because you know Matt Millen was the worst higher in all of professional sports. I do think that they should be. You know that they should look at a guy like Louis Riddick, who's a broadcaster right now. On Monday night football mean he would be somebody that I think that they should interview. But now I think, Spillman, I would like crispy woman. I do believe that he has the passion. And love for the Detroit Lions that very few have and having him as a consultant. And in on the interviews of any potential G M's that you are going to bring in, I would pay him. I would. I would like Chris Spielman to make that decision at least have input. With what? Sheila Hamp and I wish that he would say, Hey, why don't you get round? What out of the picture, But that's me. I would like him to be involved in the in the process. How about Chris? Feel on it, Miss you? No, no. Chris Spielman. They kind of silly. It doesn't make the right. It doesn't sound right. I'm sorry. Come on, man. You know, outside the bubble. No, no, no, no, I I love bullshit back. Look at Michigan. I love dear. There are full few Coaches. I look, if you know I'm not even going to say that because that would start something and I don't want to start something. I don't know if there's ever been a coach, Jamie that, like we just mentioned, you know, Melon and May Aku you know, worked on NFL games and then went As general managers for a team. I can't think of a broadcaster that went down to the college level to his biggest rival, and then would be a coach. I mean that That would be completely out of box and I don't think that's happening. No, it hasn't happened. I mean, I was trying to think of some. What? Mike? You still there? What? Go ahead, you know? All right. I don't think I ever ask you this question who was the greatest? Did you ever play straight up against very Sanders? No never played up against Barry Sanders. But he is a great running back. Trust me and nobody. Let me say this. It was. It was Thurman Thomas and very, very Sanders on the same team, and nobody wanted to see Very Sanders. They didn't want Thurman Thomas to get hurt. He was a great player. Thurman Thomas was for Oklahoma State, but nobody wanted to see Barry Sanders place, so they made sure Thurman Thomas didn't get hurt in their games. That's what I was told. All right, Jim, who? Who was the greatest? You know, I talk to you about. You told me Lawrence Taylor was your number One nemesis? Who is the greatest running back that you wanna Guess you're pro career. Three e mean Mike. I mean, Walter Payton was still playing when I played, so I mean, I got a chance to, you know, go over and say hi to him, and and I was excited that he knew my name because what's that little joke? He called me Little Joe, but I mean, that was fine. It was okay, I get it is that's my older brother and he knew Joe well, But he said, What's a little Joe? How you doing? Slapped me on the back of the shoulder like Yeah, That's kind of cool, but he is He is the greatest running back that I met and had a chance to chat with. So Yeah, and he was still getting it done then. Did you play straight up game on game on with him? No, no, I didn't play it straight up game on game on. I, uh, pretty much. You know, just I got to play and you know he was playing. I wasn't I didn't look at it is me against him. I looked at it Is the Bears versus the right there. When Walter time. All right, ask him. That's what he's asking you to go up against Walter Payton. Wow, That's a nice story. And what kind of me? I guess. Yeah, I know your old man. How about Eric Decker Send? Did you ever play straight up against Erica Naked? Not did not play straight up against Eric Dickerson. Although he's a great player. I had a look. Don't go around Jim Brown here. He's come back where I played. Is your brown bottlers, aka. What about Larry's aka Larry's okay. He was retired by the time he got to me. Okay. I kicked the hornet's nest. You guys have a good day, CNN. Thanks. Appreciate it, Mike. Wow. Made me feel younger. This time. 734 1918 50. Let's go to rob. In Chelsea. What's up, Rob? Hey, you are and I just want to thank you. Um, I apologize in advance because of my work schedule. I'm not able to listen every day like I'd love to solve. This has been covered before. Forgive me just had a chance to listen today. Pretty intently and a little background. I believe maize and blue. I've met you couple different times in front of the Big House gate where my daughter spend the drum major the last two years before this year. And, uh, yeah, my wife and I met at Michigan or four kids have gone to Michigan. My oldest brother played for bump, So I mean, it's in my blood and One of the things that bothers me. Um, I just want to say and get your opinion on is all these people who are Michigan men, Brian greasy. Raylan Edwards, all the people who are calling a friend of mine, Jim Harbaugh out. Obviously very biased on want him to succeed. We all do. We all do, but I have a problem more with people tweeting out things like it. Enough is enough and public when I know he's got Jim's number. And I was raised like you were by military father. And it was all about praise publicly and reprimand privately. And I'm sorry, Brian greasy. Um, sound off is very understandable. I know we live in a beautiful land when I've got freedom to speak. But that also is part of the decay of the Michigan tradition. In my humble opinion, because Herb Street that doesn't surprise me, he is a Buckeye. And I'm not saying I was saying anything different if the roles were reversed towards Ohio State. That's how much I believe maize and blue. But one of Michigan man who frankly, I know the orthopedic surgeon who did Scott Dreisbach some And I know the people who cleaned up glass windows at Dooley's. And you know, Brian, I just It bothers me that he would say that publicly. Why don't we have a cast or Michigan Men like Magnificat seven or the dirty dozen Get You know the defense of line coach in there, Tiger Mike to go back and get Jake long and get it. John Jensen up there to be the coaches get you yet. Biakabutuka. Um, get child. We could have a committee. We're talking about the Lions one minute. More importantly, it's the tradition of the Michigan Wolverines. And next time anybody goes to Chrysler Center. I always want to say Christ the arena. Then there's so many times. Check out that while we're Fritz Kreisler talks about tradition. It's a feeling as much as a fact it's impossible to the fine, but the University of Michigan is more than about wins and losses. And I'm with everybody. I'm like Bob. You for every ounce of my body hurts, but this is a very young team, and I think we need to give people Permission to say what they have to say. But I That's one thing that really is bothering me. More than the wins and losses is when Michigan men call out our coach in public, and I just I want to hear what you have to say about that. Thanks for phone call, Rob. Look, I It does bother me when you air your dirty laundry out in the streets. But as I've said in the past Guys did of ward Amazing blue guys that have coached at at Michigan. They know better than anyone. That they are allowed to in. They're allowed to speak their piece if they if they want to air out what they what they feel what they're really feeling about a certain time or a certain point..

"You're like my best player. So I want you to feel comfortable here when you're here with us, and this is a we thing. Instead, no boom. It goes right to social media throws a stud coach under the bus, and he almost loses his job. What can these things we talked about behind door? I I totally agree with what you're saying. I don't see it getting any better at all day because I think it's just, you know, Social media's kind of Ah, look at me. It's not kind of it is is a look at me. Look what I'm all about kind of thing and everyone else be damned. I don't see that getting any better. But nevertheless, I agree. I agree with missing. Yes, I agree with that 100,000 social media by nature. It's an I'm eating it. It's a selfish thing. It's not a team thing. You know, I mean, on guys on social media. They're trying to just take a match and throwing the guests. You lie, Dave. It works be these players. There are when they're on social media, and they're saying this that we're doing that they're getting the endorsement deals are getting the attention, so it's not like they're doing it and there's any repercussions. It's working. So of course they're going to do it. Absolutely absolutely. And, you know, I think I think that it is turned into as big a problem. It's not the biggest problem. The coaches have to deal with it. I really do and they will believe that. Lap lap. The fans obviously aren't happy right now, and you're hearing a lot about you know the name Dave Shula is coming up in comparison of Dave shooter Zach Taylor to Dave Shula. Is that fair? What do you What do you make? What do you make of that? Obviously, we know the record in the record comparison. Certainly, But when it comes to coaching ability is is this a fair? A fair comparison here? I mean, it's totally different circumstances, probably different here in totally different players. Totally different. Everything you know, I mean, that's like, you know, that's like saying is You know, George Washington is good of President Jimmy Carter. I just I just think that the bottom line is you. Jets on wins and losses that that's what it boils down to period. You know, that's why that's why there's only a few people in the world do it. That's where you get compensated assembly is you do to do it? And it's cutthroat in that, you know if you don't if you don't produce, you know, I could be around very long. It's like the NFL. Not for long. If you're not, you're not producing them. It's a meritocracy. I mean, if you're not winning football games, somebody's going to get the shot. That's the bottom line. No doubt will listen day. We've got to run, but you and Lance are coming up here at six o'clock, correct. Yes. 66 o'clock. We got the We're first. Spielman contacted him to talk about what he saw in the game. We've got Zach Taylor. We could Bob, but now we've got tea, Higgins. A whole bunch of players, So it'll be a fun show lab. I'll be tuning, Brother. Thanks so much. Thanks. Have a good one guys have seen now. Chris Spielman, if you watch the game Also was very critical of the third and one call with nine minutes left for the Bengals. Hand the ball off to some Ajay P. Ryan who? As I said earlier with Willie, I bet you if you polled 100 Bangles fans And asked them is this guy on the team or not on the team because they said, Who is this Hu Zi? And yet we're giving the ball on a fullback dive when we don't use a fullback regularly in the offense, and we give the ball to a guy who's had 13 touches since 2017 or something crazy, first won all year. Versus given it to Joe Mixon. Chris Spielman didn't like that call. I also did not like the call. If you're going to run a play in the critical situations, you give it your best players. You don't try to outsmart you. Don't think about You know, drawn up the perfect scheme going go down. They're not going to make the first down, you say Look, we gave it our best player and they stopped And it's moments like that Rock. Where give people reason to question the coaching. Exactly. I just I have said this earlier, too. But I I think because Zach Taylor was I won't say a questionable higher but I don't think anybody right if you ask them said okay, that that's clearly the guy look at his resume. That wasn't part of conversation. But he said he's young. He's under been under McVeigh and sure he's learned a lot. OK, we'll give this guy shot, but I think because He in his head faces questions about. He's gotta prove himself. That's what he did. That's why I didn't play. In my opinion, he said. You know what? I'm going to show everyone how smart I am gonna call this scheme out here. No, he overthought ever thought in and she sticks with it was fieldwork. He's feel like he has to prove himself instead of just going coach and fixing things that aren't broken. Speaking of fixing things, Rob, how was the traffic?.

"Much. It is 76 right now. Chris Spielman gonna be joining us coming up it for 10 bucks. I football is back. Big 10 football announcing their Going to be playing beginning October 23rd 24th so more on that in just a little bit. September is prostate cancer Awareness Month and As you know, Demitrius Stanley is ah, a prostate cancer survivor, And he is also the founder of Brave Men ink and we would love it if you would donate. The brave men ink. Um, because it Ah, well, does all kinds of things for people the money that you're going to be donating? Yes, well, Braverman ink is to bring awareness to prostate cancer, which A lot of people don't realize how prevalent it is in our community and the amount of men that are struggling with it. The amount of men that are going to go through it the amount of men that have been through it, and that's what I want to bring some awareness. And, you know, I liketo compare it to breast cancer, which we know everything about. We hear about it. They're right fundraisers, you know. Speaking of Spielman speaking Stephane 33,000 women will die of breast cancer in the year. 30,000 men will die of prostate cancer two years, so as you can see, it's very comparable. But men just don't talk about their health enough men don't talk about, you know, having issues with their prostate, and I believe because of some of the other issues that come with it, But Get rid of the shame be someone that wants to save somebody's life. You know, be someone to go out and tell people you know this happened to me. It doesn't have to happen to you and I'll tell you When someone comes to you and say because of what you said. They either detected early or they went and got checked early, and nothing happens to them. It makes you feel good. You know, it's for me. It's worth it. All of this is worth it in the love that I'm getting in the community for doing what I'm doing. And people were, you know, telling me I'm bold and I'm brave, you know, but I don't find it That way. I find it is my duty. If something happens to me, that's how communities supposed to work. That's how you know life for me works If something happens to me, and I could help you not have to go through it. I'm going to do that. And you know so brave men ink. It's It's my wife and my mine, My wife and my my mind and my wife and I's Foundation together, and I don't know how to say that right now, but my wife and I we are. This is our brainchild and we wanted to make it a couples thing because the wife deals with issues, too, because you know, and they're and especially when you're in your forties. That's like woman's prime. Right. Well, there's issues that come with that, and so you have to deal with both of them. And that's why we created brave Manning. So if anything you condone eight would be great. It's to bring awareness. We want to do some research. We want to help people that may not be able to afford a co pay. If a family is struggling, and that the last bill or that one bill is going to get their water, electricity or mortgage, we love to be able to help with that. So there's so much we want to do with brave men ing for our community of Columbus, so anything you condone it helps. When you go in just for a routine physical. Do they check that then? Or do you have to go in and specifically say I wanna have? Ah, you got to say it and and that's unfortunate on DH. I'm trying to push to get it done earlier. And where that is, when you walk in at a certain point in your life as a man, This is what we checked. You know, they do that with women. Why don't you do that with men? That's what I haven't quite figured out. So yes, you have. I'm not trying to be funny here. I the last time that I had a physical, I thought That he checked me for that. And maybe he did. But maybe that's just something that particular doctor or no. Four. Yeah, Yeah, I know he did. I'm just you know me up in here and look who he has to take you driving into debt with him. I'm not was no. Yeah, but you said I don't know if I actually got I'm like, Whoa. You would know if somebody check your oil right? Go ahead. I'm listening. I'm here for you. I Yeah, He used the whole fist. Okay, you know, good Lord, No Moon River, Right. But I'm saying I could have swore that that was with a routine physical that I had that because I don't recall ever going for me. So I think I wanna have a prostate exam. So say anything about while your prostates healthy. How old were you when you did that? I would say within the last 10 years, okay? And I don't know One's going tto do a prostate. I didn't tell you. I believe it was a routine exam for a like, You know your insurance? Yeah. Yeah, well, I think so. I could speak to this a little bit because I My doctor started when I was what was I like 47. Okay. That was the 46. Maybe the first time and he goes all right. Well, I'm going to check your prostate. And then he goes, you know, tells me what to do. And then he goes. Alright, It's you know, smooth and he's like describing and Nothing enlarged and you know, black blond and it was over like that one. That's why I arrived and they didn't say anything about it. I don't know. Maybe they were checking for something else. I don't know that I've any time I've heard of someone getting a prostate exam. The doctor tells him talk him through it right. It says here is what I'm doing is finding there was no drinks, but it was a prosthetic, right? I think. I didn't even get a kiss out of the deal. I don't know what happened there. You know, one of the first things on the air I remember talking about here was I went and I saw there was a female doctor who came in before the urologist because I've been to a couple of different urologist. So I finally settled on the one that I'm with. And there was a female that came in and prior and she said I was I wanted to check out and I was like, No, I don't want you to check that I I had a female do mine. I told her. No. I said why? That was one of the first things that I kind of remember. I brought upon the air here when I first started working here. Why? Why? I just They don't have the same equipment. I just said now I'm uncomfortable with this. Like I just I was uncomfortable with it, man. Really? That's why a lot of women will choose. They want a female gynecologist because they know I understand that I get more. How's that? A different way. Because we we all have that area except they don't have a But, you know, I would rather have a girl than a man. Actually. Quite honest. Okay, well, that was just me, right? I just was like I was uncomfortable with it. And in it, she was like she act put off by it. I would to my wife goes my and my wife was in there, and she's like, Well, I've sat through yours well know. Oh, don't say now then. Weird. This is before Facebook live. As you just said she. I don't think she was real happy about that. And I'm like, I don't care because I'm paying them a crap load of money and I get to call the shots. Who's going to do that? They don't get to tell me right. She started She started basically almost kind of doing it. And I'm like, Whoa! Hold on a second. I'm uncomfortable with the funny eye had both. And at that point as a grown man when you're bent over with your pants down. What else matters behind you at that point, you know, same time. Uh, you had both at the same time you they put your elbows on the table. All right, all right. Yeah. Yeah, And you? Yeah, okay. Least they didn't put me in the fetal position to do it now. That's weird. Ah, friend of mine said. My God put him on. This happened to this conversation, but it's just a part of it, man you got you know we're going to have to make it comfortable because that's the part about it may be a position comfortable for No. I'm saying just talking about this because it's so uncomfortable. That's why people don't talk about it. The more Comfortable we can do here and right. Maybe that will help people more comfortable talking about way back when when this portion of the conversation.

So, uh, I'd like to get your Jeff Logan part of our best Buckeye coverage. Joining us here momentarily. Next dollar. Chris Spielman will join us and we've got you know a lot of stuff to talk about with regard to football, but Your thoughts. Ah, Dave, Man, let's start with you Your thoughts. I know. Thank you, President Trump. That's the perfect answer because he's taking credit for you know, that's hilarious, right? He's like your love. You're welcome, Tim. I think that's hilarious man. Hey, by the way, were streaming the basement doctor live Stream is up. On the 16 W TV and Facebook page. We had time to do our hair and our makeup and stuff before we went on today, nails everything after you get to actually see us now as well as listen to us on the basement Doctor live spring stream rather on the 16th of TV and Facebook Page three. Thank you, basement doctor, So I know that you're messing around with that, but And you as a mean, Technically, that's your areas of golden. Go for you. You don't really mean you follow Minnesota football, right? I mean, the golden governors. You're more of a Viking fan. I mean, you know, the golfers have sucked so bad for so long. It's nice to see them have a little bit of an uptick, But obviously you live in Columbus. You pay attention to the buckle, right? I'm not. I'm not a Buckeye homer, but I certainly watch the team and What? The governor. They were undefeated last year. One thing I'm not undefeated, but I think I did really Well, yeah, I think they had two losses. Maybe three D your thoughts? Ah, big tennis Starting. I mean, it's October 23rd 24th bunch of Friday and Saturday. That's when we'll actually get underway. The schedule is not out yet. So we have to figure that out. Where's your might? I don't know. There is there is something going on over there I am. I'm um, Operator error as usual. Guy pushed the button, sir. Thank you. Just pause for middle right? So I'm happy for the city of Columbus. I am a static for the fans as far as playing and not having fans on the stands and the place because I don't know about players now. But when I played Ohio State football, I did it for the fans. I did it for the fans in the stands. I wanted to win to make them happy and make their lives better because this makes Ohio State people happy, right? So I'm happy, but then at the same time, it's It's going to be kind of sad in the way it's happening. It was just me, though. I I am tepid at best that they're going to make it through the year and I'll say that You've got a 21 day. Sit out when? No. If you test positive 21 days Yeah, it's almost half the season depending on right. I mean that that's if it happens right in the beginning. I believe it is a eight or more players on the active roster. Then you have to shut it down test positive. Let's say Let's not even give that energy but I understand what you're saying. I'm happy. I'm thrilled. I just It's very rigorous. What they had the standards they're gonna have to go through and I'll tell you what if you're a big 10 team, if you're the Buckeyes and Will be play. You're gonna have to play non stop by the time you get to the playoffs if you make it Ooh boy, you are going to be a little tired, I would think all right, let's bring in part of our best Buckeye coverage and he knows a thing or two. He took a few snaps in his day. What the With the OS you Buckeyes. Let's bring in Jeff Logan and Halo G. Welcome in. How are you, brother doing terrific guys. And are you just everybody donor just full of pessimism or what the hell not me is right, Logan. Come on, man. You know, going on brotherhood You played for the game. You've got a chance to be a just celebrated Jeff. Let that brings me to run out of the gate. What? Dimitrius said You heard you were on hold. You heard what he said. Can you imagine? Ah, back in the day, taking the rock and trying to bust through the You know the defense and nobody's cheering her screaming for you. I mean, I don't know how hard is that Bring the audience in on that. Is that something that's really going to affect the play? Well it for us. That would be like the spring game when we used to have, like 12 people in the stadium and they were all parents, right? I mean today in college football. Nobody has experienced. Ah, you know, playing in front of nobody, but we have seen it successfully happened at the professional level I'm seeing at each week at the high school level. The other colleges have already done it. Let's just celebrate the fact that we've got football back in Columbus, Ohio, We're going to see our Buckeyes play. Oh, I'm sorry, brother, but for me, Ohio State Football College football period. For me 50% to 60% of the game is the fanfare and going out there and making those people happy, making the Buckeye pride playing for your brother's on the field. I'm not really feeling it the way they're going to do it, But, yeah, I'm excited for the people in Columbus that are excited to see football for sure. Well, given the choice, none or this, I would take this. Yeah, that's a great point. Jeff and I I'm with you. I don't know how he's going to feel about Columbus. Blue Jackets. Hockey. You're a big hockey fan. Europe e. I mean, you're a season holder, season ticket holder for the Columbus Blue Jackets. I don't know how he's going to feel about that, and we watched it with no fans and I got to tell you the television experience. It's almost like he didn't miss the crowd there the way that they shot it in the way that you know, they piped in, You know, the crowd noise and all the I just, you know, from the television experience, which, clearly that's going to be the majority of the people that will be experiencing big 10 football. Certainly you're talking well, we're missing 105,000 people or whatever, on any given Saturday, but I mean, you gotta look at it like, well, I'd rather have that. That's a great way to look at. I'd rather have this than nothing. Yeah, you know, it's far from perfect. And, you know, I think at this stage, um let's be accepting of the opportunity that we have. We Well, we've spent the last six weeks whining about the fact that the big 10 Hasn't made a stance hasn't taken a position they haven't You know, done the things that they need to do to come out and be transparent and all of these, these complaints are going on and all of a sudden we get we get football and all I've heard of people complain about it now. I mean, my goodness I'd rather be. I'd rather be down there with the band and the cheerleaders and the fans and the tailgating and all the stuff that goes on. But I'd much rather have football than none at all in Columbus, Ohio. Hay in your estimation, Loki, did you think any one person have the type of influence That is making this happen..

I love John Lynch I think he's awesome but I'd have to bite at this late the Achilles tendon so we could walk through the phone to make. if you create a first rounder port guy with injury well that's a little servi is drastic we get a break and I got to put that on the Murphy Mekhi ballet. wouldn't you I mean. all right the massive has produced more sound on the other side okay or what late to the Achilles tendon. "Park it is a fact furniture fair round table show lance McAllister rocky point and hang out till nine we will lead you directly into rates baseball tonight place here on seven hundred WLW rock what a treat now what's what about our first guest of the night he is the a two time all American linebacker at Ohio state a member the college football hall of fame four time pro bowler lions bills he's on the a TV broadcast this weekend teaming up with Tom Brady men to call bangles and forty Niners for fox and and I listen to it this morning I love it he's part of a new podcast Spielman in huli drops four times a week iTunes at all major platforms were they talk bangles in Ohio state in the brown family and faith it's a good listen and what a treat to welcome a man let's go to the phones a and Chris Spielman whites McAllister and rocky boy would welcome. Hey I man how are you we are excellent great catching up with you. yeah I'm excited I'm afraid to come down the Big Daddy are non Brandon I work the work with the best in the business in my opinion the legend let Jerry Tom burden. a good game along with Dan they log rides about being there you know we were talking earlier in the show I I mentioned the rocky that you earlier in your broadcast day spent some time with Dave Lapham tell tell our audience your connection with lap through the years. well the first time ever did a football game in a booth that day flapping was not in stock. studio show and they put me in that book back into are back in nineteen. and lap but made room for me part D. adopt a lot about being an Alan me about the V. helped me so much that I can honestly say that I would be in the position that I'm in now without the Dave Lapham kind of been my mentor lead the way for me he does a great job and I'll be forever grateful the lab work done. in teaching me how to be a broadcaster excellent that's a great story so Chris what what is it I'm even doing broadcasting a long time in men doing a great job as what is it that you love about being an analyst. why did it on a fifty are like talk about football and get paid for it you don't know. we're all about but you know I I think that you know I I try to offer something I mean you're you're in a business rock the you know all you have I try to offer something different and unique my whole rule in my whole goal is to tell why not what all right what happened my job is to tell you or why it happened and we have to make those quick you have to have a big into it on the field and break it down why to play working why didn't work. Chris give us a if you've gotten your prep this week for bangles forty Niners give us your impressions of the young first time I'd go to the bangles act sailor. that came out in the great energy and great effort in number that don't mean anything if you don't win and that's what I was looking for I mean there's a lot I just read through the quickly and everybody's excited and I get it I mean you're never felt being in week one you better have great energy you have great energy you need to try to do a lot of work yeah the thing they have to do in the whole game came down there you have reached the red dun and per quarter you can't score on the road against a good team that's the problem and that need to be addressed and thick. I I did ask if I guess we've just street football questions I got good SO Chris so you're just I mean look offenses are so complex these days right whether it's college pro whatever's very complex and I think especially RPO it it's so hard to answer anymore what was your reaction someone who played obviously at extraordinarily high level when you watch the game today what's the biggest difference what is the challenge of defense. all match up right I mean a guy to get the ball in play that the pain and then you got to be able to play some type of man effective man coverage on defense are they a bank that the defense has is that if you notice that the pass rushers are so good yeah I was really pleased with the bangles operative why last week you drop back and throw the ball fifty one time again the path towards like Seattle bring yeah I thought they held up extraordinarily well. it match up rock that put in here by the throat and it's going to match up men and they keep taking advantage of it stop being a Chris I I think one of the biggest takeaways from Bengal fans on Sunday was how well the defense play this was not a it is was a horrific defense a year ago maybe there and arguably the worst and bagels franchise history what yet this defense on Sunday look like he was playing fast flying around the football what did you see when you watch this depends on tape. well I I I I thought guys running to the ball and taking place complain with I I like almost desperation right a desperation to get to the football Margaret had a great game an insect killer think mentioned that he was the least surprised out of anybody that Sam Hubbard had a great game but the guy that got me was the guy the other end Carlos Dunlap. ten years in the league and how he played with the inspired a picture to get game the brown as you move forward more may played well but he's going to be more productive you very and think that they've got to make the play with a plate needs may be made I mean I believe that you guys cover or what Jennifer all the time yes there are going to win the last ten minutes of the fourth quarter. right however when the last ten minutes of the fourth quarter you going to win the game because all the games in the NFL at least eighty percent the game that you are decided in the fourth quarter and so that's for your folks have to be locked in you can't make mental errors some body in the fourth quarter on the D. pad after making top more have to make the play. Chris I lance I earlier were talking about just you kind of what we were just describing there's well with how fast the defense look like they're playing just talk from a player's perspective how important is that a coach allows you as a player to just play and said to him you thinking out there and trying to make all these different kinds of adjustments and things like that just allows you to play how important. well. I might disagree with that. I I I I don't I mean I think you have to make a judgment I think you you know if you don't make a judgment that motion or formation then you'll get Barrett but I do think if you if you're able to have a product that or block to be in place for your able to eliminate that much impossible thank you could play in the NFL. visitation presentation break number argument. talk about being able to play fast but you have to do it within the game but you have to do it through your responsibility for example if you don't back in that the peak gapped up all the the run in the yeah we get double P. the linebacker build even though the company without that I'd be better pop the ball to that may be in a band block player if you have pain or support yeah basketball back inside I mean those are all little being but within a game if everybody how you play it back Marty this eleven guys no let me guide you're doing. know what young guys who want them. they know what the other guys you do on a window with ten other guys are doing they could play fast and they understand where the ball these to go through their responsibility I don't know if that makes sense do you understand me. yes no absolutely yeah Chris Spielman hanging out with us for just a couple more minutes the former all American linebacker for the Ohio State Buckeyes member the college football hall of fame he teams up with Tom Brady men this week on on the fox call of bangles and forty Niners it's also got a new podcast that we'll talk about it just a second it's Spielman in Hooley it's a fantastic listen hi Chris why mention Buckeyes give us our early impressions of those two and I will Buckeyes in and your thoughts on Ryan day. well you all star wars movies like the stormtrooper do the white helmet yeah forty five of you get killed by laser beams all forty five board take their place they all look the same and they all the payment. yeah I believe a whole big picture of the water. be drafted in the. be an appropriate you got a quarterback that mostly could grow Georgia all the goodies that you're throwing darts. not blind and I began to return orders that are knocking people off the ball. okay dobby disposed to be the running back off that you have kept a master key come and then running all over Hey you got it. we are I don't know maybe maybe on the total defense. twenty five NFL players got it all right. players party compete against that. absolute means your point about Justin feels I I cover Georgia last year I'll it yeah I saw him play a little bit limited now as I can I love these keen handle the pass geba here right he comes up there and under that coaching his looks really really good throwing the ball ground. it again you know would help then I I mean you know I'm sure Georgia have pine wide receiver but they don't have it all fixed up what they do I think that the thought that I did the Ohio state does. and they're back. and so these receivers understand scramble drove the understand what it no coverage. Dow one bank coverage to carry the route through and run away from the defender dander stand the concept of cover to cover three cover for whatever Katie where the weaknesses are the one thing that needs improvement on a little bit better pocket president may have been in internal clock moving a little bit in his head the other thing is that the way you have to get a really good job of that you know he throws people to Wade through people open right now. brought to open people read the competition gets a little bit better you're going to have to throw people open..

"Brown also Chris Spielman in the house it is great to have you guys here you know though you and I were touched on this a little bit think things have changed so much since you guys played in terms of these training camps I mean Chris when you look at these guys now going through one day a week one practice a day limited numbers of of times they can have pads on and things like that there's a serious difference from when you were coming out yeah I I I think it's smart I think there's a way to practice Martin you can still get a lot done in in that the guys understand the importance of taking care of each other I don't think that was as much of a part of at least when I was an alliance but I do have to say when I went with the bills with Marv levy think Marv was a little bit ahead of its time I do not remember any two years that I played with the bills a one time we went full pads would go shoulder pads and stuff but that's that was just his philosophy in many different some players appreciated it it took teams to four straight super bowls so had something going on always I guess that's that's an indication that some of the stuff when you guys played a particular in was a little more wide open kind of wild west could do whatever you wanted depending upon who you head coach was the ride is actually right in Niceville miss say and I think even with Wayne I think Wayne he was more of a guy that look that player safety he was more of a player's coach with us but you know like you saying with the today with these guys getting the time the rest of their bodies recovered their bodies I do think is a smart will go on and I wish back in the day we would have those opportunities just like those guys have them you know the biggest change is the amount of money that teams are investing in facilities and nutritionists and feeding guys for example I mean without a great deal the only meal we got was of Friday's Popeye's chicken if you know I mean we were lucky yeah well one of the only teams in the league the gives lunch and I remember the bring all these bags Popeyes chicken because that was that was if we won with that country what you think about I mean I think teams as well if you look at other facilities around the league and I've fortunate with my job I get to see a lot of them up in the the the the owners and the teams in the organizations of all realize that you know we have a lot of money invested in these players and so we should also give them every opportunity to succeed and to perform at their maximum and so that that's the thing I think I wish we had more than anything because I do think a lot of physical problems you know I'm not bad considering but for a lot of our guys may it may have been alleviated just a tad with the type of resources that these teams put into their their players now days everything you're talking about is a positive in terms of what it does for the player how it allows a player to be fresh are there any negatives they come from the lack of hitting the two getting can't well I know for me and just from watching these guys over the last couple of years you know to me I think your body has to be prepared to take punishment and you know you have to be prepared you have to practice even though Chris it I would be great practice player but I think you have to have enough temple in practice to where if Connell simile X. the game and to me some of the slow starts I think I contribute some of that to the lack of these guys hit and then getting their bodies prepare does have a conversation and when I said that it just it was more reflective on how great of a game day player which when it counted so you know what I said this in and I don't think it was too bad an idea I think the enormous is speaks wellness is that the guys a stroll in the most of the offense of line right because it's it's hard to simulate what a full bore rush feels like or it's hard to simulate what a a bull to a counter speed rusher Economou feels like and so I often said that if I were of starting offense of lime this league I'm so limited I'll get one of these rookies or something give me about five or six hundred extra Bucks for twenty five map minutes or a half hour put the pads on myself bring mode my backyard and let them give me some type of look now I you know I I do think there's a happy medium but for me I think the biggest struggles with the offense of line and being able to the time and simulate run blocking in pass blocking what's up hello Mrs practice habits was going what's going on there what we're talking about it wasn't that just moments this was a you know he practice but he was just a gamer and I think you know Lomas was smart there's a reason why would twenty years eighteen eighteen years the mother of one there's a reason why he lasted for twenty years and you know in a Superbowl ring in yeah you know in my opinion hall of Famer how much pre season did you need to feel like you were ready for the regular season well I I know for me it it was different because again trying to get your body prepare for the contact just likes Spielman was saying you know the temple that these guys go on that war work in real ET's T. games like the same bull rushes to me it took me four it really took me for the get myself ready for some guys were differently but I know for me it took me four game did you actually play in four could all we do yeah you can play for Russia but you you definitely had the opportunities that you have which we had a lot of opportunities and pay as in doing two days you had the certain drills you had to take advantage of them the get that temple out of it so to me it was for for me ends on a on the player for a guy like me I I would probably like in all three games in what we did him and like Marv levy in buffalo didn't we I mean you had that really bag to get on the field so we go quote just a quarter in all four games if that maybe a half an in game three if we're lucky but it just depends on the player think certain like Lum said certain positions probably need a little bit more time I'm a guy a corner right a guy corner if you play for your man team you know you get enough may I think Darius slay gets more done down here going up against Hopkins many will head in the game when he's going up against Hopkins back up it doesn't it doesn't benefit Darius so to add a lot of it depends on the position for me got some pretty significant rule changes this year that are going to pop up it's gonna be interesting you wait through those reeve replay reviews and things like that pass interference is probably the biggest penalty that we get in this league it can be thirty forty fifty sixty yards thoughts on the changes that we've seen so what I was out of the seminar for fox anon however I was out there who's get he's got an impossible job by the way I mean there's just I don't know anybody can do that job but it was interesting because we show the pass interference thing right in and the standard is it has to be clear and obvious that's at least what I'm reading wait what's clear and obvious to to Dan Miller is not clear and obvious to me and that was proven in an experiment that we did out there because I was having it wasn't a conduct experiments just my own inventory because I want around took a survey was this pass offense a pass interference clear and obvious to you I know wasn't to me it was and so that's why I think they were going to have a little bit of a an issue on what is and I thought we saw that in a red skin spangles game where there's a little bit of a problem with the clear and obvious so where do you draw the line is so much hand fighting in contact when you get start getting down field and I mean by the letter of the law that's probably pass interfere well out of the three of them in a game against the patriots a first touchdown pass I think by New England our our guy forget who a was a warrior or yeah I think you had was look at the guys aren't clearly and I thought New England got away with the offensive pass interference on the tight end down the semen of that ends on you know coaches have to be very careful because those challenges are important and you and and less it's automatic you know you probably be a little bit stingy with Affleck but I think we're seeing coach just all lot of flags because they're trying to figure out how will be officiated throughout the season we're just kind of waiting through this preseason it in you know you want to grab on to something and think you know what you're saying but you don't always know what you're seeing because often times it just doesn't mean anything when you get the regular season and talking to both of you seems like you're both very bullish on this team you're both very confident about what you think this team can accomplish where where does it start with you Chris and lowest moments where the biggest questions that you have one of the sea welcome to me and this probably saying course in the last year is there it first started goals out is just too much of a fall off between the first team or in the second team are on this team they're building their off but and that does take time to build good deal I mean you could build belt but we want to build good day off here and I just think that's one of the biggest issues that the team of faces if we do lose a starter who's gonna step up who can step up and how far there's that little fall all from the started to the god that takes its place with a grin I'll be I think that's where I mean every most of these teams are all talented or NFL players right and so my prediction was I I've I predicted it up last week on the open a ten win season because I do think what they're trying to build their finally starting to accomplish with the that they do have depth at the defensive line which was something that was addressed on I think they're trying to address the depth need on the offense of line when you signed Joe doll to to your extension and Joe's fighting for trying to be a starter so you signed up back up to two year extension but that's I mean that's where your general manager in scouting department comes into play you have to find cheap depth a million article today about the future like salary caps you take a look at a lot of the time ten teams some of the top teams are right up against the cap and they have about eight players right around eight million dollar mark or more and so you got to really understand that it's a game of stars then you gotta surround those stars with really good players and pretty good fights check it out yeah yeah and you have to take yeah you have to take advances guys on five year deals that's that's where you have to be able to where I think in this day and age of the draft is so important because those guys have to be immediate contributors on because of the salary that they bring so you can pay stars so you can pay quarterbacks he can he can he call it a one day when he's coming up there's no example yeah you know it's calling out that's what teams have to deal with that's why sometimes guys like Mike Daniels at the market that is out there so sometimes it works for you sometimes it works against you.
