"My name is Jason Terry guest hosting for Dory today. As Dory is taking a break and producer Nicole is taking a break. So I have with me, producer Chris Sean on the board. That's me. And of course, Erin to my right and I, But while Aaron is in the studio, I had a question actually had had a question for him before the show started, and then we just never got to it so Insley as we just heard. In your report. Is considering this. Show me your papers system because we're getting Paris Lee perilously close to hospitals being overrun now. And I hear this a lot. You know, we hear this a lot. We've heard it from the start of the pandemic Hospitals overrun. We don't want hospitals to be overrun and And the vaccination is supposed to clear this all up. So there's my question is odd. And what is the hospitalization capacity specifically with I see us? Yes. So, so right now we can sell you. This is on the Covid dashboard. Anybody can access this. This is on the Health department website. But the seven day rolling average right now shows 88% of all ICU beds are occupied. 34% of that overall number is a covid patients. So one out of three Of that. You know, 90% Occupancy is a covid patient. I was looking for specific numbers as to what our average ICU occupancy rate is. Didn't find that specific number for our state. The most recent data I could find, though, shows that the national average ICU occupancy back in 2010 was 67%. So you know if you if you want to compare it to 2010 were about 20% points above average for the nation's ICU occupancy rate. And I do know that I C u beds are very expensive to run, so it's not like you want them at half occupancy. You you you wanted near capacity. Uh, because of how they how expensive but ends. We never mentions and that's something we were talking about. I think just to be Honest, he should mention this. Or it should be part of the conversation. It's not that we have these occupancy rates. It's there's a staff shortage as well. Certainly, yes, and you know, we in the newsroom. We listen to update weekly. Now from whether it be a health officer or the hospital association, And they do mention that you know that this The occupancy rate is one thing. But part of the problem is the nursing shortage is the staffing shortages, which is compounding the problem. And it's also you know what we mentioned. A third of the patients are covid. Over the summer months is typically also when you do start to see some of the hospital rates rise. More people are outdoors, and so you just have more chance for injuries. If you're doing outdoor things Um, but I will also say the doctors are incredibly concerned. Um, you listen to the hospital Association and the You know, they're now talking about delaying non urgent surgeries that might sound urgent to some people. I mean, they're talking about long wait times for people who've had strokes or heart attacks, so It is a concern for the hospital system. The ICU occupancy is just one aspect of it. Sure, but we've heard these concerns for 18 months now, like we've never actually materialized. There are some states where it like New York was was, you know it was hit pretty hard. Um But it seemed like from the hospital personnel that I've talked to who are friends who are doctors? Uh, they were. It was more precautionary that there was actually never a need to triage people, people on waiting lists, and these are all Hypothetical. Sure. Thankfully, it's never happened. Exactly. Yeah, And that's why I guess my weave. It seems like all of this to me is more on the precautionary and I'm judging it, um or even asking you to give him an opinion on it. Uh, it just is where we're living life as what could happen as what is what is currently happening. Yeah, well, you look to the neighbors just to the to the east of us in Idaho. Um they are in a dire situation, whether they are starting to To ration healthcare. Um, their their vaccination rates also aren't as high there as we are here and in King County, too, where we have very good vaccination rates, so You know, uh, the doctors, though I'll go back to what they say They're concerned. The hospital association is concerns. Um and I know they majority of them. I don't want to say all of them. But I think a majority of doctors probably do support. Um, what the governor is doing at this moment. I have I have no, no doubt that there is a support for this. This type of what I would say Encroachment of power. Let me ask you this now, Um, I'm going to play this because this is Endsley and in Biden says the same thing and there is a tendency to use Children. I would say a as pawns during the covid policy making, and we need more people to think a little less about me and start thinking a little more about we This is not about you. It is about us. It is about whether or not we will allow you to infect our Children and our grandchildren. Because you have not been vaccinated. I think this is nobody wants kids get sick, Of course, the innocent kids. But this is to me hyperbole in that from and I want to give you your Reaction to statewide level But nationally, you've had fewer than 400 deaths in the 0 to 17 age, so We are. We should be thankful, right? That covert really doesn't affect any of these Various covid doesn't affect my kids had had covid. And it was. It was really nothing burger for them, Uh, on a statewide level. How many kids have actually died? Over the course of 18 months that you know of The latest update we had from the hospital association was last week and they've confirmed a dozen so 12 pediatric debts and Don't I'm almost certain that they qualify pediatric death between the ages zero and 19. The vast majority of people who are younger, who are either die or have a serious case are unvaccinated teenagers who also had some sort of underlying condition Hospital Association last week they mentioned that some of the people who have died also had cancer or Just some sort of other again. Immuno compromised condition. Um, Obesity is also a major factor among some of the kids who have died in our state. So they had an acute pre existing medical condition and for you have no one wants to see any any child die. But thankfully, the 12 it's a very small number. And that should be something. Um, you know that we can least during the pandemic. Be thankful for it is such a small number, but you know, It to use kids as pawns to get these, uh, political proclamations when the kids really aren't affected, Uh, strikes me as so intellectually dishonest because we want to be targeting the people who are affected and in a certain age demographic. And health demographic Now, Erin lastly, And I don't. I'm not putting on spot. Sure. Don't worry. Sorry, because I I don't get it. I'm wondering if maybe if you have a different take or perspective on this because I think Joe Biden Undermines his vaccination push, and here is just one quote. From his press conference yesterday..

"What are the efforts that we made. Last year was to highlight a handful of good games that we're going to be keyed in on as well as acknowledging the various prospects that are going to be on these teams so going into the big games that are on everybody's radar. I'm sure i'm missing. A few. there are some other ranked matchups that we didn't bring up here. But penn state wisconsin twelve pm eastern time on fox alabama miami three thirty eastern time on abc indiana iowa three thirty eastern time on the big ten network georgia clemson seven thirty eastern time. Abc and then ucla lsu eight thirty eastern time on fox. Chris who out of all of these guys. There are just so many names that we've written down and highlighted to talk about on this episode or not to talk about just to be aware of that we can pull from in these specific games. Who are like one guy or two guys that. Just stand out to you the most that you really really wanna watch other than brandon smith. I game up on our slate twelve pm on pas on fox penn state in wisconsin. Obviously i'm going to be watching brian. Smith which that games should have a whole bunch of interesting guys playing wisconsin's a good team penn state's a good team actually the guy i kinda wanna see the most and this might be a little bit off. Radar is zion nelson at the alabama miami game which it would take a whole nother podcast to list. All the guy's worth watching on that alabama squad. The my advice to anyone watching it is to just enjoy the game and try to take note and remember the names of anyone who really jumped off the screen to you. But on the miami side of thing things zion nelson. They're left tackle. he is. I believe a true junior six-foot-five somewhere between three ten three fifteen will make. Some interesting to me is that he was forced onto the field as a true freshman when he arrived at miami. He weighed two hundred forty pounds. He has added about seventy five pounds. He is still an athlete out. There left tackle. He's an easy. Mover is got good band good feet. We have questions regarding the giants offensive line. I think it would. And i hate saying this year after year. It would make sense to watch offensive lineman this year in college and with an athlete like nelson yet. That that's a guy who could be getting a lot of buzz around his name with a good year. And honestly i. I'm always watching offensive lineman in the names that i'm like the biggest keyed on this year for this twenty twenty two class for just the specific week are some of these offensive. Lineman's i nelson is a great name to no. I think two other guys that need to be acknowledged and one up in your here with from zion nelson. The guy that he's going to be playing against evan. Neil that dude is a physical freak folks if you haven't seen it go on twitter and look evan. Neil box jumped. This man jumped. I don't know the full distance but way too high for a guy his size to be jumping and landed in a lunge position. This guy has crazy explosiveness at six foot. Seven three hundred and fifty pounds. You could probably guess he was a five star recruit. The guy just moves at a different level. Now he's not necessarily played up to that athleticism just yet. His ceiling is super super high. But a guy like that. I want to see what he's done during the off season he's clearly been busting his ass so for me. Ever neal is going to be really fun to watch against the team. That's usually well coached. Defensively in miami. And the other one chris sean ryan offense to tackle from. Ucla is a name that has gone a relatively unnoticed but is starting to pick up some steam. And i think sean ryan is going to be a player that come the end of the cycle. We're going to be talking about as a top three tackle in the class. Maybe even the best tackle in the class just completely out of nowhere. So i honestly have to say that this matchup against lsu which we know is going to be really really talented defensively. If sean ryan can start off the season hot. I think that could really set the stage for a really really good year for him. Yeah it seems like that always happens just every year a couple years ago we had mci becton come basically out of nowhere to be. One of the top tackles in the draft class last year. I would say not. Too many people were talking about. Sean slater before his final season and all of a sudden you know he is one of the best tackles in the draft class. So sean ryan. I absolutely watch him at the very lacy what happens 'cause lsu they always have talent as well. And then. I think. Probably the biggest game on this slate. Which i gotta say. Thank you for the college football playoff format because it was rough watching the first few weeks back in the old. Bcs wear all the big schools would basically have cupcake tuneup games for the first two three weeks before getting into the meat of their schedule this week we have what five matchups between ranked opponents. When was last time we saw a matchup. Like georgia clemson Where you have the number three team in the number five team in the country going after each other in the very first week like we could either see these teams matching up again in january or one could knock the other out of the playoffs completely in week one yet. That's what's on the line and they're just there's just so much talent in this game. This is another more. I just say watch it and enjoy it but the georgia they are all they're always loaded. They've gotten some really nice transfers. Jt daniels will be actually on the field with more than a month. Experience under his belt got andrew booth junior at cornerback for clemson that i think is going to be a very interesting matchup and then you got the you know what i'm going to let you pronounce clemson's quarterback's name. But he's he's getting justin. Ross back from actually pretty scary injury. So hopefully he'll be able to play and play well. Dj galet is the guy that you're referencing. Who maybe a couple years down the line things as we say every time we do one of these shows. If things don't work out with daniel jones which i think is just a phrase that we can just always keep in our back pocket and say satirically until it becomes a serious conversation. Dj liangalo lay in the following draft. Class is going to be at the top of the list because of how freaking talented he is. And we've only seen a little bit but we can't even we. We didn't even write him now because he's obviously not eligible for this class. I think justin ross though getting to see a matchup against potentially dairy kendrick is going to be really really fun to watch. But that's the last thing. I want to throw out there for this weekend. Chris is that we get some exposure to two very talented corners. That are supposed to be at the top of this class. Potentially top fifteen players. And i'm specifically referring to andrew booth junior the corner from clemson who is another guy who's rising a little bit right now that people have had the time to watch him during summer scouting and also they're extremely in that. Ucla matchups dingley's probably got an easier matchup to handle in that one but andrew booth is probably going to have a really really fun time going into these super talented georgia receivers. This is shaping up to be a talented cornerback class early on and you know right now. We hope the giants are not going to be in the market for a cornerback. However kind of anything can happen. And that's also a position where it makes sense to stock up on young talented corners. Whenever you have the opportunity so andrew booth junior derek stanley. Those are also two guys. Try to keep an eye on them. You'll probably be here in.

Potentially when defensive player of the year double be yeah defensive end for the carolina. I could not watch sports last night. See it was the first time. I literally fucking put on gays line when the steelers loss of the packers. Instable i fucking didn't watch sports for three or four weeks. I'll be back tonight on the derby..

He was out in the outfield to begin with, which is why that ended up being a fairly easy play for him to get to. It was 40 or 50 ft into the outfield to begin with. So two down here is Wilmer Flores. "Oh, welcome back TK Be hoping to finish strong on a Monday. Mark Willard, sitting in for the boys, Tommy and Rod off for Today and tomorrow and Wednesday and, of course, Thanksgiving and we'll be off on Thanksgiving. We're all off on Friday and we will reconvene for T K B on Monday. But a couple things we want to get to coming down the stretch here one. I was talking about the Giants and last segment and 400 gets to the zoom and he said. He said he thinks the tides turn significantly as far as free agent hitters and how they view the Giants, he says. The reason for optimism is we look at that market. We've had some of those conversations with the players and the agents, and I think everybody recognizes that the park played pretty neutrally even favorably at times. For hitters, he says. There's been a lot written and justifiably so about the hitting group at the major league level is talking about the coaching staff and the work that they did, and our continued emphasis on major league development, having that theme out there and having case studies of guys that really took a step forward this year. I've noticed a lot more interesting position. Players were a lot more willingness to sign with us based on what they saw from the team in the organization over the past year. And the Giants. Did D. F A by the way of the weekend. Chris Sean Air Ms Garcia, Jordan Humphries, who they got from the Mets, and they added some guys to the 40 man. Some young guys like Alexander Canario and Camilo Dove all and Gregory Santos. Um, What do you think that I think that was kind of a significant revelation mark the fact that free agent hitters at least and farms mind have have kind of re opened to the Giants as an eye as a place that they may consider Signing in free agency. I think that's a major thing. It's huge. It's absolutely huge, and a few thoughts come to mind on it because one it's an admission, I think as to why over the last few years a handful of years now we're each year they've gone after some some big name corner outfield type free agents Price Harper most, namely And they don't get him on. Don't get him every time And so this this changes everything because you may also go. Well, wait a minute. Like, you know, they haven't shown the they haven't even shown the desire to go out and spend big on a free agent hitter. They will. I think it's a timing thing. I think they're waiting for their younger guys to come up into the ranks a little bit, and they're going to strike after right time so that they can go compete. The other question. I have, though, and this boil straight down into the area where you and I had our bet last year about home runs because The ballpark suddenly played differently, and it wasn't simply because the fence came in a little bit in right center field. It had to be more than that, Kruk says, is because they closed off the walk out there in right field. From them that the wind was blowing through. That could be sick, right talking about her off the water. We? Well, what happens if they open it back up? I mean, I know that fans aren't likely at the beginning of the season, but I think they are likely when we move a few months into the season. If you follow the Timeline right now of what experts are saying as far as vaccines and when everybody will be vaccinated. What happens if fans come back into the states in May? They open that thing back up again. It's playing like a pitcher's park the year before, the Giants may want to go out and really make a free agent splash. That's something to follow, because I really don't. I mean, none of us can know the answer to that quote. Well, okay, So let's talk about that for a second, they eye that makes total sense that there would be a drag on the ball going out to right field. Maybe even center field. If you're leading a huge opening, you know, basically, you're you're speeding up the wind by making that small opening right? So the wind probably accelerates through there, so probably get it creates probably somewhat of a wind tunnel. So, but to me you don't have you could leave it as open air and then put the bubble like a little like the little shell on the back side so that you have to like walk in. To the thing. He could still be open air to the field. But just not open air all the way out to the water. Do you see what I'm saying? Having have the bubble be on the back side walk part. So then you don't have to change anything about the look of it or the feel of it for the people looking through the knothole, But you just eliminate the wind going through there. I think I would like to see that in some way. But I have to really honest, easier to sort of. Yeah, it might be easier for whoever's out there sort of standing as security. You know how they like to move people along like Don't stand there for you can't stand there for the entire game. If you almost enclosed it a little bit. It might be easier to be like, Okay, There's a certain number of people that are allowed in here it one time you guys all get to stay for whatever, one half inning and then you're out. And then you move a new group. Tonto. Come on in a few enclosed it like that. That zika driveway for really, really. Driveway of my dreams like for really rich people have the circular drive ever. Have you ever lived in a house? We had a circular driveway. No, I have not lived in one dream. I grew up. I went to San Mateo High School as part of the Foster City group, which meant many of my friends. Grew up in Hillsboro. And let's just say that I let's say that I have some friends who grew up with the circular Certain you hills, bro. It's like, you know, you're right there in the middle of the circular drive. That's the only way they make him. Yeah, right Driveway. There's allowed in that city. Exactly. You don't have a circular driveway, you peasant. You get out of here. Sorry, man. This This is not meet specifications of the city. You're asking for a straight up and down driveway. We way don't do that. Here. We only have crescent shaped drive was Uh, to quit. Baseball notes. John Marosi is reporting that the Dodgers are interested in trading for Nolan Aaron Nado Watch. Come on, When is enough weight? He's from Orange County. 200 million bucks in Colorado does talked about this with Papa a lot on Friday because it's in fact, Jim Boden made the prediction that air, not a would be a Dodger by Christmas. I'm going my gosh. For Giants fans. It Z sickening because Aaron Auto kills them and to put them in a Dodger uniform and upgrade and get younger. One of their positions where they're already pretty good. Where? Justin Turner Man third base. That's that's brutal, however, there's a couple things on channel was wondering about your the Orioles get Eddie Murray, but the Giants get rich Murray. You know the Astros get Josey crews. The Giants get Haiti Cruise Jack the Dodgers get with someone. They're not. Giants get Jonah Aaron Auto. Oh, good. Exactly. I mean, I wonder, though. I always wonder about guys leaving Coors Field and especially as he's getting he's about. He's about to turn 30. What are his numbers going to do? He already is coming off when you're even though it was a small sample size, But then my question would also be to the Rockies. You know who's trading a star within the divisions? Serious was doing that, like we never. We never used to do that. That never used to be okay like that's that's wild to me that the Rockies would somehow be incentivized or okay with the idea. Off building on top of an already existing juggernaut that that's pretty weak. Sounds like they're huffing too much of that Colorado grass man. And then they're they're gonna They're gonna Flipper Aaron Otto to the Dodgers for nothing..

"He seems to lose it after about twelve. I've obviously is not that strong to begin with anymore but then it seems to get even weaker later in the season so now with this him being out for injury he come playoff time he should kind of be right in that wheelhouse whereas arm is still what it is right now which is strong enough to lead them to victory. So that's number one number two. You get to see what jameis winston is made of you get to see. Is this guy your quarterback of the future. 'cause they're starting james. I mean they have announced it sean. Payton said they won't announce it yet but it looks like they're gonna go to jameis winston you know last year. We know about some hill but last year they went to teddy bridgewater over hill. This didn't did a nice job for them and real nice job and less. We know this. This is a revelation. He's a more stable quarterback right. Not as dynamic is james. He's never gonna probably throw thirty touchdowns in a year but he steady. He won't make the mistakes you know he. He does what the offense costs four. So i'm really excited to see if winston has learned if you know. Look we know. Bruce arians tampa likes to throw it all over the yard may deduct contributed a lot to what you know his interceptions. He's obviously got some decision making issues but they get to see. Is this the guy we can count on going forward. So a as long as brees gets back rob later in the season and they can win a few of these games and just stay in the playoff hunt then. I think this could be a blessing in disguise for new orleans. It could be an last year. It didn't hamper them and he was able to come back. And you're right. Drew brees has a couple issues. Maybe he can get those things worked out. He won't have a tired arm. Come the end of the season right. It's like a little break off. So yeah i don't. I don't see it as it's not like a season ending or something like that didn't rethink everything and say my god. You know like like what's going to happen where they're gonna be but they're expecting back. So it's it's sol's two things that let's an older quarterback he'll and rest you get to take a look at jameis winston right right and see where he fits in as you move forward because drew brees right. Supposedly had this deal in place with nbc after next season. And then chris sean payton. Isn't bruce arians sean. Payton is known as a great play caller. And maybe he's what jameis winston needs right offensively. Maybe and maybe he can get this guy to throw the ball to the right places into the right color uniform and whatnot. Maybe you know. Maybe they'll look and go. Do we got our guy here. This guy was a top pick in the nfl draft. He's a lot of talent. Marcus russell no he's had stats and right if you go look at his stats last year. Other than the thirty interception seriously most teams ninety five percent of teams would have taken all the other stats. Chris if you just want to take away take away. The intercept heck put him back in nineteen ninety six and that would have been a pro bowl year. Oh good yeah right so dry already pigs or something like that. But he was six for ten sixty three yards and he was sacked twice actually. But you know that's okay. I mean dynamic but it's not a bathing throwing the interceptions and he played the entire second half so that's what he did against san francisco. We'll see going forward but we need to put this to rest tastes. Some hill is not the quarterback of the future for new orleans. Let's put it to rest and i was..

"Big glasses. Yeah. Carol Porter. Yeah, that's a crazy story, Daryl Porter, but anyway, nothing as far as the Giants as far as we know, will keep you up to date on everything that's going on. There are some deals have been made Starling Marty, the latest, the Padres have just stacked up. On everybody. And as you said, the Giants play them as Faras. The bonus trade deadline holders. Big Pole hasn't changed a lot a little bit. It's a little down on the cell 58% cell 22% by Which is interesting. 20% stand, Pat. You ask that question last interesting. And Yeah, if you would actually buy no talking, sell. We're not talking Cueto. Your job. Gausman Smiley Watson. Is that the cell category? I mean, that's we have to differentiate between who are selling here. So they're not saying fire sale. Everybody must go What you're saying so? He's saying about buying I would be reluctant to buy. Yeah, I didn't get anything. I mean, if they want to just flip Jackie Bradley Jr. Because they want him out of there, and they're having a terrible year and they want to get something back and they're not going to re sign him. But I'm not. I mean, for one month, That would be different. But what's the makeup of your outfield? You know the last month of the year? He asked him. He's clearly better in a corner. Yeah, we're gonna get Slater back is Jake isn't gonna be able to hit. I mean, Dickerson had a good weekend here, too. It's on Saturday at a huge game yesterday the home run of the changeup and then taken Archie Bradley the other way. So what do you have? Beyond that? I mean, his Dickerson. He's healthy, John. We keep saying when I hired Jackie Bradley Junior's name, like Why did they want him? Well, Dickerson sitting Right around 200. He's not the same hitter. But I think he will hit But if you know if you do something in the outfield short term I mean, duggars. Just not. He's not a majorly hitter knows. Just not. He's a. He's a triple a hitter with a major league outfielder, but You know, He's a defense of substitute late in the game when he tried to tighten things up and you bring him in to play center movie as to a corner. Whatever Get Jackie Bradley Jr than Dugger is gone. And then you know what's going on with Slater. So would you flip Chris Shaw? It's probably too much for one year Jackie Bradley Jr you would do in a second, he's clearly fallen out of favor with the organization doesn't mean he can't be a good player in some point. But to your own waiting more athletic. They thought he was a heavy guy. Your point of Bart. I mean, again, A guy that they didn't draft, too doesn't seem to be in their plans. I mean, he's Hey, When's the last time? I mean, you know if you wanted to make a humongous trade I'm sure teams you're calling about him. You know, I don't know. I was just making a joke about that. That's something you would look at. You know, I'm not saying you want to trade him, but he needs to be more refined. He's just not ready. And we're like rooting for him. Like you know, we're you know, drinking sippy cups after the game, he is the major leagues. You gotta have a better at bad. He's got too much going on. He's getting devoured and punch out to swing. The Miss total is just alarming. He's got the big bat wagon a little bit. He not only picks the front leg up, but he kind of swings it. And he's just late getting his foot down. And that he has a catcher. He's just not refined. Enough so you can compare him to Buster Posey, because busted Buster didn't catch Lincecum. Let's becomes was incredibly difficult to catch as his Cueto. But he's just now he needs you to go back to the minor leagues. I think you know, a normal year. He wouldn't be here or he'd be coming up now. He would have played a full year at Triple A Sacramento, but he needs more time. But I know you're not gonna trade him. But, you know, I wonder if they concept of adding You know who in the minor league system? Would you be willing to give up the fact that they did move Chris shot to the alternate site makes him eligible to be trade. You could trade him and then just name him later. I think somebody wants to look. How do you even look at video? Or how did his teams that they're saying? I am seeing Chris Sean awhile. Can you send in a sack and then send me a video of him? How does that even work? They have cameras set up there where they can look at in a ball coming off the bad And you, Khun! You know French. It's somehow I don't know. I know Farm was saying when he fired a lot of the scouts last year's They don't necessarily have to be there and they have cameras set up even at the minor league, so I don't even Does that even work if you want to trade for Chris Shaw, I haven't seen him in a long time. You send him to sack and then send me a video of a monkey. How do you even do that? No glue. That's why to me as faras. Joey Bart is concerned. I don't know what they're doing in Sacramento. But how much can you learn in an alternative site like that versus? How can he get experience catching Johnny Cueto without catching Johnny Cueto? How can you get catching experience? It's.

"But the spotlight is especially Brighton expectations are enormous for somebody who is going. If you are a five star quarterback you were going to come in. And people are going to say, I can't wait to see him lead us to glory that is what is going to be saddled on you from day one. And then you add in the Notre Dame factor. Notre Dame factor is. If you take a hundred five star quarterback's throw them anywhere in the country in southern California and Florida wherever in Texas. And then you say how many of you want to play college in cold weather? Okay. You take out thirty eight of them. Right. And then how many of you want to go to college with a ton more of a workload. Then the average top college football school, academically, okay throughout another thirty of them. How many of you want to not really play in a conference with traditional rivalry games? Play some games out west some of your games against Wake Forest and NC state. And Clemson whatever that you can throw another fifteen of them. How many of you want to go to a school where you have to go to church you have to go to mass okay throughout another nine of them. And it's just it's such a specific. I'm not saying any of that is bad. I'm saying to get top kid to Notre Dame means you are dealing with a smaller pool of top kids. Whether it's because of academics. Whether it's because of religion, whether it's because of location, and weather, whatever then many other schools are offering. So the pool is already going to be smaller. And it's quite frankly, very hard to get a five star kid was my parents Louis and everything you're saying there one hundred percent plays in the the more concerning part of this to me is a Notre Dame fan is the development angle, not the recruiting angle recruiting hard, and it's even harder to get a five star kid for variety of reasons, maybe some of those are are emphasized at Notre Dame. But the real question to me has less to do with the star ratings more do with development. Why isn't Notre Dame turning kids into like Baker Mayfield? And why don't we have that at Notre Dame? I there's no easy answer to it. And especially so because the quarterback position at Notre Dame has been somewhat cursed over the last ten years. They've had academic suspensions in the injuries crowded. Charts? All of that complicates the matter. Tommy's who now want to be named Tom. That's right. A handful of different coordinators throw that in the mix as well. None of that has helped. I don't know if you could point to any one thing or I will agree with Edward. And then I promise we'll move on. Is that development certainly is an open question. I've long had a bit of anxiety around the fact that from year to year does not feel like quarterbacks at Notre Dame. Get all that much better. Right. That's a problem wasn't this isn't the same thing anywhere. That's just not Notre Dame where you just need that I hit, and then everything sort of spirals from there. So okay. You need that first awesome quarterback. And so with Clemson, maybe is Taj Boyd begets to Shawn. Watson begets Trevor Lawrence. I want to be the next Reggie Bush begets, Joe McKnight la-. Michael, James, begets. Danny thomas. Percy Harbin begets beans breed championships. Right. Where it's just like I want to be the next blank. And if we're talking specifically about Notre Dame quarterbacks you're saying, do I want to be the next to me Causton, Tommy Reese, deigned, Chris Sean Kaiser in book like these are not names that are leading game day necessarily because they're all good in their own way, to whatever extent. But how many kids are at home saying I want I need to be the next in book. I don't know that there are many and he's he's a playoff quarterback. But it's just the system that they run in the way that they play is not necessarily that. Whereas that Oklahoma. You have Jason why don't Sam Bradford. I don't know about that. Really that who's who's the star that the who's the star? No, no..

To this day. I want to say that I still am a ram STAN cut. I would have to say that I would be in favor of cheating a-changing, the replay rooms and the the review James, and and they they really have to have to do it. And I've been saying it for years, and I understand that that that that already thanks for the call James. I appreciate you use sticking around. I understand that you have to you know, it's already annoying enough when there's a play its third, and whatever and somebody on the other side of the field gets called for legal contact, and you don't even see it happening, and it changes the course of drive and keeps one team on the field prevents defense getting off. I know that's annoying. So now here would come flag from somewhere else. I get it. But you know, still have the ability to quick snap to prevent it. I mean, I honestly think getting this right by having passionate to Fearance be reviewed, and it would still be a judgment call by officials in New York City as well as the officials on the field. It would just be an extra huddle. Let's put it that way in the same way. That officials auto in real time. Now, they're just huddling up around a screen with somebody in New York. Get it. Right. Thank you, Chris Sean in South Carolina. Hi, sean. Hi there. Dan, sixty two twenty five I'm here to help. But reason you ask why a Orion always seem to not meet expectations. The reason is the expectations are too hot. He is not the greatest of all time. He's not even in the discussion with Joe and with Tom. He has a marvelous arm so jamarcus Russell. And so did Jeff George but the name of the game is winning quarterbacks? Most consequential position when regarding winning and winning cuts across all eras. So now it's easy for five thousand yards. But if you look at how quarterback we ins against his competition during his time, Tom Brady indisputably the best of all time. And thank you, Sean. But I'm not asking the bar that I'm setting for Aaron Rodgers. It's not that high. I'm just saying you got to win a couple of games on the road. And he's got nine playoff wins. He's he's got ninety eight wins in his career. He's probably got what fifty losses his interception. Touchdown interception ratio. Is you know, mind boggling, but you've got to win a couple of these games because you're Aaron Rodgers even if you have Mike McCarthy, calm place. Yes. Mclovin. Just say it.
