"Radio program. Have you ever had a story that you've started about your cat where it hasn't ended with the cab being horrible. Seriously, Ross said. The cat is trying to eat. All those chords and stuff happens like every stream because they I have to put in the plug everything in all the cords and they're everywhere. And it's a laptop and tile on top of like a tiny TV dinner tray like you see it. From my perspective. It's nuts with this stupid plug in USB microphone and the camera. There's lots of courts, right? And the cat believes they're like yarn or something, and it's constantly trying to attack it and plug it and I'll yell at him on stream like Stop. Do not If I ever go off like of the streams dies. It's probably the cat. Friday. Well and that and the Palmetto Bug tried to kill Ross the other day. It did, And that's how we also know that, uh, video games or not. Actual sports, because, Yeah, I was streaming and suddenly there was a giant palmetto bugs like flu across on the TV and I'm like, Kill it with fire to get up and run around. I was so winded afterwards, I thought I was going to die so not a sport. No. But seriously your cat man, Every story is like you're like came home and he had eaten an entire plastic bag, And now he's pooping it everywhere. Like there's never happy stories about your cat. Dude, I don't know why you keep that thing around because some of us because it's like family when you have an animal. Not all of us abandoned an animal. Oh, leave it for dead when you go on vacation, right? You watch and you care about it part of the family. But there was that time that I walked in and To Elliot's credit. The one thing he's amazing. He'll go in the toilet like he goes in the toilet toilet, and he taught himself. I just walked in one day. I'm like I thought it was Lincoln in the bathroom. I said Who's in the bathroom will open the door. The cats in the toilet on the bathroom, taught himself Does he do that? Continually, Or is it just a one off the door is open. He will Wow. Okay, all right. But then I'll run out and eat. And then he's an idiot. And he's trying to eat water bottles. Yeah, Okay. Alright. Let's uh Very intelligent cat you have there. Um, Here's a Here's a very sad story. Where do I go over here? By the way, this is the worst not, um Uh, fake name? What's the term? I'm looking for, Uh, aliases, the worst alias ever. Police say that 58 year old Chris Santa and his fellow Chris, so, like Kris Kringle and Santa Who you who you hired, and Oh, by the way, he looks like him. None of my business as far as what he does outside of the legal requirements, and unfortunately he has he has broken those. By the way, this is really weird. Are you following this story of this lawyer down in South Carolina? So it's a South Carolina lawyer who found the bodies of his wife and son three months ago. Three months ago, he comes home from the bodies of his wife and son. And then to make things weirder. Um, he was then fired his fire from his law firm for some financial irregularities. And let's see here. And then I'm trying for how many days after he was fired. Well, so and then last week. He is. He's driving around. All this is going on. Everyone suspects all sorts of, you know, horribleness. And and then there's the financial impropriety and then he's driving around the other day, and he has a flat tire. He pulls over the side of the road to change it. And, according to the attorney, Murdoch He, uh excuse me Murder. While he's changing the tire. Somebody drives by and attempts to shoot him in the head. Well, I didn't attempt to. They did that. It didn't. They kind of grazed him. And people were wondering what was going on there. So is this this whole kind of crazy story? The background? Well, here's what happened. Because There was like there was a screw up on the police report, where they indicated that the officer couldn't see any visible injuries and said then people were running speculation that He was lying like that time that Hillary said somebody shot at her. But then it turned out that they just didn't indicated on the report properly in these, he did have the injuries will now they figured it out ready. Arrested the shooter Curtis Edward Smith. Just send me an email and get y'all set up with a lifetime account gaming on anything behind a paywall. The subscriber side of things does is give you access to all the bonus content which we put out pretty regularly and then so great about that lately but we've got some great ones coming up including a full kind of tutorial on using skype site with matt scudder. Who is the main developer behind sky site down in australia. Sailplane pilot and now pair letter pilot integrate podcast with him recorded. Recently that will have up in the bonus material where he takes you through kind of like lisa dead for us with exc- skies. He takes you through that whole platform. It is really are. they're doing some wonderful things. There at sky site. I think this will become if it's not one of your go. To's right now for whether it will be after watching this so yeah reach out. Thank you so much for your support. It really does make this job. Lot easier makes me smile and let me know. You've got suggestions for the show. Take very seriously. We are quite backlogged with suggestions. Of course but i do get to them. I reach out got tons in the can right now. I've got shows that will take all the way through the x. Help so were well set up there. But i'm enjoying it. I enjoy your comments and your suggestions in your emails. And i love of course hearing from all of you who told me that the show is either save your life or kept you from having an accident or just you better pilot. That's why we're doing it. That's very exciting. Top of the show tip this week comes from josh. Kohn enjoy so we got two questions from eric. Bitter first one is when thermally if you fall out. The bag is a better to crank a steep. Turn get back into thermal quickly or carbonise stern. Would you be answer. Be different on the windward side so the main thing. I think it depends on how deep the lift. Gradient is at the edge of the thermal. So it's pretty smooth transition than yeah carbonise turn and also if it's kind of light tropical sort of conditions you'll often just need really flat smooth turn to not to not to still be going up especially if you're low whereas if it's you know well-defined tight strong gore than than crank it around and then terms that windward side. Yeah typically typically if there's significant wins the core on the windward side is more well-defined. Pretty much want to like as soon as you start hitting that windward edge. You wanna turn pretty quickly to to not totally fall out. But it's often not it's not super stint not super sankey on that side either so whereas on the downside side it can often be. More turbulent sankey. So i don't know wanna would falling out either side. I guess all right second question one. Spiral dive is the drug street. Better than talking feet under the harness in spreading If it better as it a lot better obviously the drug shoot is not freeze the crotch but is it worth so i had a drogue chute forbid and i just never got around to using it and then i asked the end like was looking for a place to put it in my harness the designer of it where he kept his and he was like. Oh i don't use one. So i don't know it seems like they do a good job of making spirals more comfortable. I don't think using the hod probably works as well for that partly because you have to sit up which changes your whole dynamics in harness But haven't really tested that. So i don't know thanks sir. Okay enjoyed that josh advice. My guest today is rico. Chandra's was pilot who embarked on thousand case solo biv last year. This was his first baby all went swimmingly and he reached out today. I did this kind of cool thing. We should talk about it and woman we had fun with this conversation. Really interesting guy and Had a blast with his busy and his approach was great and he also has a lot of get takeaways both from the baby but before then on just safety and how to approach things that i really found super useful and has a bunch of kind of guard rails rules to keep it between the lines. Is chris santa cruz. She says that. I think are are great and talks about having a superpower that i loved and by the way the music you heard in the opener here was produced by our guest today. Please enjoy.

And you were in space and you were running through these corridors. But you'd never got to see the monster you just. I knew it was coming. I would prefer not to see the monster. kind of like in What was that movie bird? What was the one with Sandbox Berber box? You never actually got to see the monsters but you just saw the aftermath so I kind of like I kind of like the fact that if you don't get to see the monster Mr I'm okay with it. It's just a suspense lake. Like holy. Fuck something something is chasing me and leave it up to my own like fucked up mind to imagine. Imagine that what this monster looks like and just try and get through the game John Gill John was first. Okay McGaw. Yeah this week this week on flippy floppy with Joe I I know I feel like if it was vice versa. And you didn't see the monster. You would be upset that you didn't get to see the monster no not in this type of game actually playing it every preferred not to see the monster because once you initially really see the monster. You're not really scared anymore. Is You know what it looks like. It's like seeing alien for the very first time you didn't know what the fuck aliens look like. You didn't know I know that it was going to be right there and just you know so once you aliens was just like okay. We know what the Aliens Aliens Three and Blah Blah Blah Blah as it goes on but if you leave that to the gamers imagination of what the monster is you're actually horrified and more terrified than actually knowing what it looks like Jon so so to that point yet. If you don't know what the monster looks like the your imagination in your imagining everything that you can possibly think of. What is the bad guy? Once you know what the monster looks like or the whatever it is then you can start to try and develop a plan to defeat it yet. If you don't know what what it looks like. You're still in the dark and it still always gonna be that constant like what am I work dealing with this. This constant anxiety really really is what it is and it's GonNa keep you on the edge of your seat so that's cool. Yeah John I think he I think he would like it. It is scary as far yeah No no it's not. It's not like it's not like until dawn type light airy well. It's not it's not like you know at least so far what I've played. It's more of all your new cookbook. It's very psychological for sure. John I watched probably the the video that Chris Santa's in in our text chat yet the video. I watched up to the point where he went into the mansion. In that amount of time I don't even know how long that was five minutes. It's a video where he's drives the van up to the mansion. Sure two minutes I knew in that amount of time. I was not going to play this game because I don't don't play Horror Games. I don't play anything that's GonNa give me anxiety or me have to worry about something jumping out skipping shed. I like those games. My brother Played Silent Hill with my buddy who. That's a great earl. The first one back in the day I watched I would not play that game arear than hearing that fucking static over the walkout. That was the scariest part of the entire game and demon when babies for that game. I don't play those games at no-interest I don't watch horror movies. I takeaway scary shit because I am already scared of enough things. I'll admit I'm scared of the dark. I'm scared of the ocean. I'm scared of the ocean trick or treat John Buck you took retreats not scary. It's I don't know it's a good thriller. It's but anyway anyway Kudos to you. Joseph because in two minutes of preview video for your game I knew it was too scary Gary for me to play definitely it was. It was good the the amount of video that I watched it was good quality. I liked it. I liked it enough to know it was not a game I was gonNA enjoy because I do not enjoy scary games. uh-huh yeah it definitely and that was the old version of the game John You haven't seen the new textures and everything. He's he's totally revamped. The game the videos that I saw our from like two years ago and he's definitely made a good. It looks good. Yeah so he Joseph Hato think you you the other Joe Yeah. He's made a giant jump with overhaul that he did with with the textures and everything. Because when I was watching the youtube videos from two years ago and then I actually loaded it on. My computer started playing I was like wow. This looks great. I mean it looks really nice for for You know like like who said I sold developer. He's you're killing it man. You're doing really great. Yeah no problem grace when you were live streaming streaming game where you streaming on mixer. No I was on Youtube live so if you go on our youtube channel you can watch them. Okay I'll do that so I can see what it looks like now. If view yeah look at it see what it looks like now but if you can scroll to the very end you can actually see me get scared and then I broke it because I think I think Joseph you're laughing your ass off when I screamed. It was just hilarious when I saw you break it. Yeah Yeah today. I fixed the bug that you found and I've been basically going through a bunch of feedback and making little tweaks to it the biggest feedback. I've heard that it's it's a pretty slow start and so I've been trying to address that in different ways very cool. Yeah it's interesting Trying China strike a balance because some people when they play it they will. They'll get right to the action real quick like they'll just happen to find all the stuff you need and then some people will. They'll never really get their you know they. They won't find the things they need. Just just the happenstance so it's interesting trying to find. Like how much should I hold their. You know because the people that Just go through real quick. They probably find that annoying. Like if the Games constantly like trying to guide you along the way but then at the the same time if I don't hold their hand enough then people might get frustrated and I feel like the you know. It's not really going to go anywhere Well so maybe it's something as simple as two auctions like hold my hand like hold my hand and I got. Yeah Yeah Help me daddy or off your two options. Yes as thinking about maybe tying it to the difficulty level you choose like if you choose easy. Maybe it'll like give you way more hints items will glow in the dark. It'll be a lot easier to tell. Where do you need to go? Candles matches the last a little bit longer. Yeah already on the difficulty. The difficulty right now sets the brightness of. Yeah it's how the abundance of items how many monsters how fast they are the damage all that stuff so there's more than one monster no okay Cheese and I'm still do really not gonNA play it honestly like hijabs. If this last playthrough cheated a little bit I turn my brightness all the way up just like I wanNA sleep with coming. If it's going to jump Outta me. I got to see something so but yeah I'm I'm like one of those players like when you're playing a survival survival game. I want to pick up everything. So anything everything that I can pick up matches taking it candles taking kennels got it home what else I'm I'm the horror movies. Got The backpack with everything in it. You Know Kevin Hart allergic to cake. There's an achievement in the game. If you actually actually grab every item in the whole House I got that last night. Joseph I mean I'm excited to see the future of the Games that you're trying to develop an or that you are working on As far as in this game I wanna see I wanna see it through. Now that I've played it. What three times already I just? I've got to see it through absolutely I feel the same way I'm excited for your development on this game and I mean just keep listening to the gamers. I think that's what makes good developer overall if you listen to the crowd that's telling you. Hey I need more direction than give him that in a novice type of difficulty and and the people that don't want it you know the advanced gamers that don't want that then give him that and give him the intense and more monsters and stuff and I think if you keep listening and keep doing doing your work in work hard like you're doing everyone's GonNa love this game you know. The future is bright for you man. It's great except except for John. John you might need to make like a pony game that has rainbows and like candy and stuff like that. John Love that our Unicorn. That Shit's ice cream. I mean there might be some trademark things like really scary music and shit but then have like a baby iota. POPOUT kittens dislike picture. And you're like supposed to be scared of a jump scares me that it's still does. Its job and I won't play it but even if it's just like like interested to see what you guys think of other levels too. Yeah there's the the other seven levels and total time shows reaction seven layers of hell man. Yeah this is going to be by the seventh levels. It's going to be like in the corner in the cleanroom like I can't play your gave him anymore. I can't play. I can't play. Yeah I'M GONNA BE I'M GONNA be fucked up that man. You'RE GONNA mess mess with my mind. What's that and they're like? That's the oven. Get the house like. Oh sorry I'm scared jumpy. Yes so I made it to the with each level gets more and more intense so the first level is actually the least intense man. Lourdes play the game. I watched the preview. I felt like I've done Pohjola said when the ceiling started bouncing a and shit started falling from the ceiling. I'm out I'm done. I ran out of the house. I did the same exact thing. Same thing Joe. And that's where I got lost in that fucking manner and you know the directions already fucked period in daylight so in this direction and games on fucked. Yeah maybe in real life too but you know what you should do Christmas..

"Sit in the chair for Joan dizzy sex a few days off which is right and the I go to is the only scary what's is install a for this country as the next generation starts getting older the latest thing that is causing them to have anxiety is Chris Santa not really Dr Jon humor is a clinical forensic psychologist and he is the guy I tend to cause I'm gonna need to lie down on his couch soon if this keeps going on when stars light is crossed my desk don't you hear me you're very welcome hello I am amazing Simon thanks for having me today I think you know more than welcome so secret Santa is making in the millennials anxious that women one of those big sound effects that goes all well I I wanna know house elf on the shelf no right now that's nothing is creepy man yeah absolutely anyway secret Santas and I can imagine well you should really worried about how future you know as I get older this is the refund to people I guess they're going to be I'm gonna be looking did look off to me right yeah the other ones are going to be helping us out in the nursing home and and you know the part of me is is kinda worried but the other part of me says back in and and and looks of things there are some amazing people in this group as well I've got a couple of work for me and I wouldn't trade it for anything else so I I I know there's some good solid people young people in that group and my my guess is that the cream will float to the top and they'll be led by them and they as we start getting older they'll start dealing with some of the stuff that we never force and who are the parents that were forced into for example learning to deal with failure and stuff like that they have the helicopter in lawn mower parents who were sheltering them and keeping them from having to learn coping skills and I think I think it'll happen I mean if you look restrict retrospectively you know we survived all this so we should be able to live you know like because it's funny I coached high school tennis in Florida for about six years and a thirty three state champions which is a big deal in Florida it is a huge deal in Florida and and really I mean we were we were a lean mean fighting machine with we had a a key with I don't actually did the whole haka for a gay full out as a team yeah I got the train the new the haka is flat well we will we will be banned and nobody go participation trophy we we want and all we really had a bad night and we ought we really had a bad night tell me that so we have no participation trophies all my tennis teams back in the day at but they wanted me to do it you know it kind of started then well I don't know if we get this the the athletics director came to me one day and he said you know the US to yeah you're saying if you want to shoot a no cop program right they gonna give us all this stuff unlike the Juno **** program I'm not putting twenty kids on a bench you were never going to play for me at all hi my team is ten strong that was it they played under the and we won a lot so they go so you you're not really worried about the future but you know these are the people that have got rid of sit down pizza well yeah and a lot of that though it is an evolution of of of commerce I mean think about the briefs and all the the the you know would be driving it self drive here programs that are picking up food everything from people so they don't have to go out the so I can get through it all the time I got to say I don't get it full of quite list I mean because they do it with fast food as well it's not like yeah this is a nice restaurant which doesn't deliver they do it with fast food and literally doubling the price of the fast food so they can have somebody bring it around as opposed to jump in the car and go and get them so I don't get it I will never get it get it yeah my kids try to do that with me and I gotta let me get this and they they pull up the app and they're they're ordering Pachelbel you know you're not doing that you get a three dollar back the food you get it from a real restaurant do it at least all the good stuff my goodness well I've got you on one in three adults is now also reportedly suffering from holiday but now we don't even start it well I think I think that's pretty accurate though I mean us so many people are so stressed out they still have to pay the bills from last holiday season and you know we've already started the Christmas music we've got you know everybody's building up the Black Friday again in our cyber Monday and we're just inundated with by this by this by this and you know what I try to tell people is don't ever going to do that the show people that you love them I mean that that's just ridiculous you know don't do it it will cause you more grief more strife then every your shopping bag yeah it be nice I wish we could get everybody everything but yeah I I wanna I wanna be with you you're my friend you're my family and being with the person is more important and getting them so that's the first thing I start with the second thing is and there's an outdoors I don't care how cold it is you can put on a jacket you go for a walk don't let yourself get irritated by that family gathering and they know you more than anybody else I can say one word and ruin your whole week here but you know you're there because you are family take that walk and get lots of sleep and last thing is don't drink well I'm not arguing thanks I'm just wondering what your rights as a like you can just destroy everyone would a brother or a sister that from when you were eight years old they they have that button and they know that they can just get you say that you know and and I mean I used to teach my college students you know it's like a lot of your other first freshman year you know they don't they haven't gone back and thanksgiving when they go back after being at school for several months I always come and take a deep breath and remember that holidays are god way reminding us why we get a pic are friends not food you don't love your family it's just they can do it because the family I'm spending thanksgiving with friends but I just thought I'd mention that and that's what I recommend in fact that's what we typically do is we invite friends that have moved here recently and their families so far away or you know I I still have graduate students and students there are you know studying down here and we invite them over and it really helps when you have that adversity like in our family my in laws there's several divorce used in that in that structure there and they when we get together there's always tension but when we invite the strangers at like everybody's on their best behavior and we have a good time the kids our friends enjoy our family enjoys see apparently need a clinical psychologist and founded figure out the invitation get a job talk to John here he is a clinical forensic psychologist I always have fun with you on the radio job it's a it's great having you on a call let you go because it is always a plethora of by the way laughter is not used enough on the radio I just thought I'd mention out right there is always a through these kind of stories this time of year this is the one in three okay what is review that's a all of humanity has done something they regret at the company holiday party really the boss's daughter maybe I don't know I and then if they get the company party that I regret I want to do these people so there's there's one other person we know because what to do so apparently there's one person we know you did my producer at this point hello yeah no I'm not that okay all right well this the numbers are not adding up so okay so I mean you get to see people after the holidays John yet so how many of them is saying you're not gonna believe what I did I come from my face ever again well you know it's really interesting I always think that maybe over the holidays you know my numbers will pick up during the holidays because of the stress but it is your right to come in after the holidays and you know often times we start working on basic communication skills and how to control what they drink whether drinking know what they did to kill man so you will fall away well give me one yeah I'm willing may your day yeah the only one we were just talking about was that you know that that old story of of they thought they were alone in the in the back copy room at the office there and you know somebody walked in somebody was still working with back here to get a fax and use and of course the the person they were with from the outlook that well let's make this you know let's all get mark so all right well doctor John here but it is indeed a clinical forensic psychologist my own daughter is a psychologist and I see is having a very interesting time of life right now because she's doing two jobs as well working for a school district in Florida and she's just hung the private shingle as well so she's doing fourteen hour days pretty much is what's going on with all right now but I once upon a time thought the maybe Junker teacher at work less but if those are the kind of people come to see you I'm not sure I want that now jump well you know it because I was told by colleges in Florida and doing you're all right yeah because then there is the route clearly it's a wrap that is exactly the way to get a great experience get training with kids and families that you don't always get your regular clinical program so that off of what I would love to talk to John Hubert we we love having you on already do whether it's my own individual show when I'm filling in for Joe it's it's always great to have you so I'm very appreciative that you that you took the time today thank you very much Sir appreciate you well Simon you make it easy thank you thanks a lot you take care I think Joe Nye Huber Faslane stuff so what have you done that you regret the holiday party hello he said not now not may never done anything by not eight nine four bags Chevrolet at nine four one seven two four seven we are across the nation on some incredible radio stations all run your I heart radio out brujo pads adult calm we're on those phone lines would love to.

"Been no news about twice don't believe that anybody has to say the news came out about Kevin the ran an article written by Chris Santa Yahoo sports that one of the main reason why I decide to leave Golden State the Golden a Brooklyn that's was that the Golden State Warriors have a family atmosphere but a lot of guys go to their families outside of the court and Kevin Durant was probably looking for guys you can hang around with and have more of a friendly atmosphere in terms of having that kind of continuity outside the basketball court believe that what you will but presents pretty doubt they would because the NBA and especially Kevin Durant making his move from Golden State so the Brooklyn nets always good to have a chance to talk to go play in the NBA for that thirteen years Quinn region NB veteran a great follow on Twitter at Q. Richie joins us here thanks is open to all forms line and he's also a guy who has had a couple of text messages back and forth with Kevin Durant queue I get the sense that you were not surprised a cat with the right left Golden State but were you really surprising aside the journal carried Irving to play together with the Brooklyn nets to be honest I would not I would not or are you a car retains the public could throw guards were our come pretty close pretty tight knit and kinda say they were best of friends and stuff like that go to see them come up a free agent and have an opportunity to join up together I'm not surprised at all what can you tell us and share with us that Katie mayor made out of of of told you about what happened with Golden State that led to his departure Armonk are never heard anything as far as what you just said about the the family after hearing about yeah hi eight winner you those guys are really just got the spent the day that the bill for years had run its course and maybe call coming here and what I communicate with them I don't get anything they will make me feel like this is the reason he wants to be or or or somebody beauty thing I think it was one of those things that they had a great run course not thank you he feels like he has he has a a different this is a different point is Johnny unitas want to do something if how much of that based on conversations with him a based on what you've got a good idea about him how much of that is that Kevin the rat is always looking for that challenge to acquire a new mountain to climb and it's not about trying to stay together fourteen sake over championship say well because he's definitely a curious person that is always looking for something to keep them motivated and the challenge him absolutely amazing for now my main for him it is more I think people have them misunderstood as far like the basketball pure for him this is simply about basketball and this is without him achieving his his hi hi its peak at the basketball level and and and and going to Brooklyn an entry level car re and he looked because I read if somebody else who had the same outlook on basketball he nodded it's just the and in any of the the the the glamour equipped with everything he you know he's played a lot of money go are you call make a lot more good morning it's clear it isn't about him become one of the best basketball player that transfers and stuff you could be out there on a basketball court judge he's one of the one of those you guys I don't think you've got the user guide is this when you say he's a real quickly he really cares about the home he looked pretty wiped his basketball you what is the high school cube the college he he he one of those guys that he put him in a jam with a ball it doesn't matter where he is on the plan he's good Gwen Richardson here with us on Friday if it Simmons on ESPN radio can follow him on Twitter at Q. rich thirteen years in the NBA with with us several different teams will touch on the next coming up in just a moment because obviously you had two stints with them there but yeah we talked to Kendrick Perkins last night about dream on green and Acadia blow up with the clippers for people may have missed that conversation last night Q. here's what what park had to say about Draymond green calling Durant of B. and that they want it without and they don't need to be careful what you tell people may so they're saying you know we want without you we don't need you like not a man not not not as the god that is Katie look bill to do a more Katie they had a great great show so glad you just don't cross one no number I'd say you know to give the right it is widely wide world is wrong you know so I just feel like you know he crossed the line into the moles but I thought Katie did a great job the house bill No Way Out situation okay you did how would attend to purchase out of that situation I you know we just had the wind down like did they Q. how would you have handled it in the area action I'm done and as to how that played into Katie's as you laugh our one there are probably grew you know maybe some friends of mine have been moving as if that was me in that area with I think also I don't I don't doubt it in that moment that that affected you know their relationship and and they they have a they had a problem your sketch you little clear your but at the end of the day I don't I don't think that with the the thing they may be to make his choice I don't think I made him leave boulder stay out thank you very impregnated decision that much I really feel like he was going to do what he wanted to do with this and I think people that I was just up in it you will realize how many times that happens all pains I mean I have to go on national TV and all that global global are magnified in a little more public but I'm a there have been so many times your own thread going to see that with so many different things with it whether it be a superstar or Macbeth that's a common occurrence the bomb on three that wasn't me that wasn't something that was like the the straw that broke the camel's back I think Katie whether they wanted sap issue of whether he got her whether he had there are you know with with our trademark or not I think when they hear with the KGB was gonna make a mold all right now we're all waiting to see what Kawhi Leonard it would move he makes at when you talk to current and former NBA players how much are you all and three day and five and and and just kind of waiting and watching what Cole why does who is a guy who's not on social media obvious does a myspace account so our planet BlackPlanet when you hear the name wide lender del what is your reaction as to how this is all playing out learn from really odd liquors he he he you probably remote I mean I had the commercial the most interested manner were he's probably the most interesting some costar we've ever had it's hard light levels three we don't know anything about a minute and a concrete wall we know everything about all stars you have unlimited access you have zero acts that requirement and when you do have your heart there will means literally you gives you the bare minimum and he shows you nothing well for me our main line will point to hem brand of Cologne so let me I said that when I was there and growth going come in an hour I don't know why the end game that would be great rise of you going for Lakers I will write why would you do that I mean I'm not not like why are the why do it the leader will be so what severity you know if people would just like you well for me the route so with him being mad so I mean they they give you got any route right you are the video very about how to many like what is wrong with the plane you just got a you have a whole country and by the way you just want to chat you should get out of the fence what is wrong with grace about Quinn ridges in every event with thirteen thirteen years in the league you play for six different teams following toward ex you rich we're going to keep you rich around ask about a team they played for twice what it because the New York Knicks who got as much attention as anybody in free agency mostly for the wrong reasons we'll get his take on what he thinks of the Knicks now even though they did not get who they wanted in free "Senator Joe Lieberman who has been a gentleman his whole career and has been a guy that both sides could look at even if we strongly disagree and say, he's a decent man who just wants what's best for the country. And we just disagree. Joe Lieberman joins us now on the program. Joe, how are you, sir? Glenn? I'm I'm much better. After I heard your generous introduction. Thank you very much. It's it's great to be talking to you again. Yeah. Our principal goes back. A lot ears. Does Joe Joe I wanted to talk to you because of the op Ed that you wrote but a little deeper than that. You you talked about. Alomar's comments about Israel, a moral test for the Democratic Party can go into that a little bit. Yeah. Well, I I must say that. I and my life's I might have to stretch to remember. I can't remember another time when elected member of congress spewed forth that kind of explicit and really grotesque antisemitism, and I can't help. But compared to the experience I had in two thousand and when I got nominated to run for vice president with Al Gore and first Jewish American. I have that honor. I didn't people always ask the fish anti-semitism. I honestly didn't and what a change and to me. It was a moral test for the house of representatives and specifically the House Democratic caucus because leaders affect the behavior of everyone else. And so here, you have a congresswoman where the following saying something, really. Country to all of our best values in the history of the Democratic Party. And it needed to be condemned with as much directness as she spoke. And it was I mean, what what emerged was a hodgepodge resolution that seemed to condemn all kinds of bigotry. And I think it it leaves her words standing which is not good for the Democratic Party and not good for the country. So you said the this the that the democratic leadership mumbled, and they must not mumble. They must be clear, which I agree with. But I wanted it. I wanted to ask you, you know, there's there's a serious issue of this in the labor party over in England and England has been going off the rails for a while on anti-semitism, and we're seeing the same stuff happening, and it usually coincides with the rise in socialism and nationalism. When those things start to rise is the I think the Jewish people. Are a canary in the coal mine. They're the first ones. So I'm looking at this. I'm seeing this. I'm seeing that the Senate would not take the easiest vote ever and say, no, we're not going to kill children after they're born. It's the easiest vote over the the number. There's not a single person running in the Democratic Party that will stand up and say that they are a capitalist. They hem and haw and mumble what what will it take for for regular Democrats to wake up and go, wait a minute, wait a minute. And I mean, even the ones in Washington with the labor party, you have party members standing up and exposing. And if they don't change it. They're leaving six of them have laughed, and I'm not saying where you go. I'm just saying is there anybody that's going to stand up in this party and say, we're in trouble guys. We're we're. Yeah. Yeah. You know, the way you're exactly right because I know from personal conversations. That there are a lot of Democrats in congress who don't buy into this socialism is a solution to our problems, and and the government can take care of everything. Or your needs. Dory was going to be paid for Chris is going to be paid for by higher taxes. And and it's going to be paid for by her Texas on the middle class. But they're they're they're intimidated. I guess and to some extent this happens in both parties in different ways, the active minority, but I honestly for me to look capitalism has worked here and we've found her own way to do it. It's just not pure capitalism with the markets just take care of everything. Because we've we've we've added a support for people who can't take care of themselves. We've done some regulation, maybe sometimes too much regulation, but why has this system worked, and you know, it's still working today. I know there are still some inequities, I know some people have fallen outside of the economic mainstream. But look at the unemployment numbers, they're so low look at the stock market continuing to be high. I mean, this is still the greatest economy in the world. So why would you wanna dump it for something that failed miserably in this? Soviet Union and Cuba now is just ruining a wonderful country, which has been as well is it just makes no sense. And I think it's following the mob in, but that mob does not constitute in my opinion, a majority or even a plurality within the this country. And the for me, it's the way the Democratic Party is makes it so turn a losing party. Not not a successful winning party again. So Joe, I'm I'm having a hard time convincing my audience, and I believe this. And I think I think the majority of of. I can't even say this. I don't know how many people believe this. But I do that the average democrat who is my neighbor is not foreign Spanta side. Not for an end of the free market. They're not anti-semitist Semites. They're not for any of these things. But what is it going to take to wake them up to the hijacking of this party? Because if it's dead, it's dead. If it does he wake up, right? I agree with you. Totally that the the loudest voices in the Democratic Party. And and it's either in congress. Or it's the the candidates for the presidential nomination twenty twenty. Honestly, do not represent the rank and file of the party. And was the best way for that to be changed is for Democrats who who are mainstream Americans, very loyal Americans. Not socialist surly not anti anti-semites to come out and vote in the primaries, and hopefully find a candidate that they feel reflects their point of view, you know, I I wanna say the looking at the house of representatives. So I got involved in the last election with a group called no labels was working to elect center. Right. Democrats and centre excuse me center. Leftover Chris Santa right? Republicans to try to create a certain group, which will work negotiate compromise. Get something done and really the Democrats took over the house. Representatives majority not because of Okaz you'll court this or or Omar to leave. It's a whole bunch of really first rate. Centrist, Democrats who believe in the things you just talked about Glen. And incidentally, they had to do that. Because they won swing districts or even Republican districts, and what the kind of a socialistic an occasional antisemitic extreme rhetoric. They never could have won those districts. So that's the hope of the party if they will if they will stand up speak up. This is what I was the house caucus of Democrats failed immoral tests because they they kind of covered over congresswoman Omar's error, her evil. And once you do that, you know, it's it's an old line from the hottest places are reserved for those who had times of moral crisis. Try to preserve. Their neutrality is not time to mumbo. It's time to stand up and speak clearly against this nonsense. So do you see? And lemme ask stew because he he's been following this is there a single person's do that has come out. I mean, even CNN blasted them for this. Is there a single candidate? That has come out that has said they are a capitalist as you said Joe vote for somebody who is not that way. Is there a single one so far on the capitalist question? There has been a couple on the key. Even Elizabeth Warren claims to be a capitalist Beddoe said that this weekend. Okay. But even without using names. I'd be curious Senator what is your? What is what is the number? Fifteen announced candidates. Is there you have an idea of the number of of those candidates that represent what you believe is the average regular democrat. You don't have to use names. No, I I'd say right now based on what I've heard probably two or three aspire to it. It's really shocking. And I mean, they've gone way beyond just look at recent history where the Democrats who want, and I'm not saying you have to say there were you love the hated them. But Carter Clinton and Obama no Ballo is probably the furthest of that group to the left. You couldn't say he was an extremist, by the way, he ran. He ran on American values that are cetera. So now, the the here's the encouraging thing if I'm right? There's only two or three of the fifty and who feel this way, we talked about the way that actually has a chance to to get a majority or a plurality of votes. The others are going to split up that that other vote, and maybe one of those centrists will have a chance to actually get the nomination. Honestly, we can open pray because look America needs to strong parties that are not extremist parties. That's been are always been our hope, and it's always been what's. Worked for our country because ultimately they get together and they saw problems. I mean, President Reagan tip O'Neill, president couldn't Newt Gingrich really very different. But they both. They all those pairings rose to the occasion. And we we need to happen, then that took courage, and I I see very rarely. And I've I've posed these same questions to Mike Lee. What is he going to take Mike before somebody stands up because I I really believe Joe that the the the wall we don't want a wall because it's racist. We don't want a wall because because we even think it's really that effective. We wanna wall because we don't believe congress will actually do anything that will last they can say one thing. But then they'll go and do the opposite either after the next election or even even when they're not close to an election. The w-. Wall is really more of a statement. I think the American people at least those on the right don't trust congress or any administration to get this done and leave it alone. And and and go with it. Yeah. No. I think there's a lot there in which you're saying just actually appropriately example, Glenda, what's wrong with our political system now because we're fighting over something that really both sides agree on 'em. Because here's what I mean. Because I think because President Trump is so focused on the wall. The democrat Democrats are saying well, well the heck with that. I'm going to be against it if he's Ford, but look back, I mean under Clinton and Obama money was appropriated and spent to build a wall and parts of the southwestern border last year. Democrats put up an immigration Bill in the Senate which didn't get passed, but it had a fair amount of money to build other parts of the wall. Along the border. And I think the president understands that it's not you can't build a wall. And he said this you can't build a wall every part of the borders. It's not geographic topographic -ly possible in his other things you can do. But does a wall help in some parts? Of course, it does to to basically implement the rule of law, which is that we have roles for how you get in here. We're a country. That's always been very welcome welcoming immigrants. They've been part of our strength. But there are rules. These are rules of law, and you can't just violate them without some some response from the government. So I mean, it's a classic case. And you're absolutely right. So people give up on the congress. If you look back at Obama, President Obama he to started a governed by executive order on different issues climate change immigration. Because he because he gave up on congress and in some ways, President Trump and a lot of people have done the same on immigration because they've given up on congress chill Lieberman. I miss you. It's good to hear my friend. I thank you. I'm glad you're doing well regards to your family. Thank you, Joe labor. I really can't say enough highly about your room. You can disagree all you want.
