"On any because like navigating your way through your business, Johnny like without the guidance without advise can be really tough but. Lonely because you're GONNA get caught up in your own head and you're not actually moving on your own. Terms, I guess you would say, sometimes ear, the biggest driving forces don't come from the greatest. and. That could be something a huge catalyst actually propel you forward and entrepreneurship entrepeneurship for me. Isn't the yachts and Champagne and Nice watches a nice clothes as not entrepreneurship entrepreneurship for a m sitting in my boxers, a wife beater going how the hell can I get my business to this level? That's what it's about and it's the grind people sometimes and they asked me questions and I'm going on interviews now and in different podcasts in two major influences in the industry and they're really curious about my thought process and what's actually brought me here my story they ask because like how would you label yourself I? Really don't want to label myself just as an entrepreneur or maybe even a sales salesperson come from sales. I'm just a hustler to just happened to be good at sales. Just a natural ward Hustle Hustle, but a lot of people use that word in so many different types of ways, but I use it in a good way of actually loving the grind I loved the grind. Enough Muscle coach I think is amazing on people should be proud of it because it's taking you from A to B o beat e like wherever you want to go like not in enough grind and you not hustling to take yourself to that that. Next that, then you're not progressing and you're not evolving as an entrepreneur. You're just staying stockman right I mean a lot of aunt yours I meet people and they go. Well, how did you get from a? You know seven to an eight figure in that you know type your that quickly Mike I mean that quickly I mean look at the overnight success. Bro, like you gotTa look at the the Grind I. There's there's some times right thought. I was GONNA lose it all and there's times where I feel like. Really doing really well, and I've gotten out that a murky water out there now blue ocean and enough people read books out there without blue. Ocean. Strategy is a really good book to read. But when you're getting out there ablution you're. Now. You have a target on your back. After you now you're actually what they're setting out for your your the standard while I gotta keep raising that standard. So that occasion becoming one percent better every day because every day I'm getting progressively getting better one percent might not be huge for a lot of people. But time they're chasing the old meets Aman and I know you probably feel that way. I mean do you have a lot of people that guess you'd say as competition looking at you as competition are looking at you.

"How does that? How do I need a measuring reassessing to the same outcome A thinking about how many times in your life you went. Ban! I didn't do it to that day, and I did it this day. I didn't do this day thinking about how much momentum, but you're, isn't he? You're getting to your indignation and you getting to the big goal overall achievement. It's not about you just getting there I want to blow right pass that shit. That goals always gonNA. Keep change because I'm still involved I'm growing. I'm never going to catch that damn thing that's right. It's always going to get bigger and bigger and bigger, so it's like a never ending cycle, but if you don't do it every day, are you still going to get to that? Target your end up? You'll end up in bfe somewhere. Is You gotTA wrong coordinates. He missile man. You got to move. Grow site. Say A lot and I say a lot because it's like more indication for me to put myself in that place like every day ends in why because it's true I gotta be moving guys. Vista debt, day, INS, and why I'm moving. So, there's no days off doesn't sound great. But I don't turn. That's what happens with an entrepreneur entrepreneurs. We think about this like I don't just not think about business and we don't WanNa hit Sunday, right. Wire. That's how we weren't. Man is not how it's not because you. That's what kills me about people that Corporate America. They are usually shutting our brains off on thirsty Thursday. Herself until Tuesday when they come back Monday, but they're not really there. From whatever the football game was a Sunday. Out there, partying and popping champaign champagne like they won the superbowl. What are you really celebrating? The your life sucks like. Yeah, is this. Better. Not Cry I'm like not really cool, but I. DO appreciate you touch on that because a lot of people don't understand. You the dedication and hard work. It comes behind that piece. Yeah, yeah, it's huge man in in. Honestly you know. I I've done your spreadsheet. I fell off it bit, so it's like I'm working through it. I got my strategy. But. How does it make you feel you? Look at the Times that you fell off. What in your life? Well? That's the thing. Yeah, something derails and I don't like that. It's not a good feeling, but when you're measure when I'm measuring, you know and doing the routines 'cause I have known morning thing and very similar and feels frigging phenomenal. Mike you know today's podcast day didn't work out this. This morning, but we went on a long walk, my wife and baby and I. It's like this is good. This is going to set the day off and you know it just like little things like that man. Consistent things set up the day to win, and sometimes it's the just goes back to the human needs right you have certainty and uncertainty how you rank. It's different because everybody A little bit of sporadic shit to happen to my day. An unemployment things that have is great, and it sounds great. If I welcome office on, get punched in the face with something like Whoa. That! Entrepreneurship man. 'cause there's certain days man I'll come in and have a plan and that plan goes right out the window. The days where I'm.

"Says Sprint motherfucker. Go run a hill outside. Go home in the bike. Fuel good. I mean but some days harder others right, so that's. A big battle to win every day is at five am. I have to win it. It isn't. It's a should or something. I would like to do. It something that's a must for me because I, believe that that's the major. Component to mice assess Because if I don't get that done then there's a good chance that I'm going to breakfast and I'm GonNa. Eat light five pancakes whatever it hit. Fuck it, I'm just moved my calls a day because I'm not with it right now. Checking in right now. My voice feel great. My voices in sound good. But if I moved this call if I moved this recording if I had other podcasts and I was doing today trainings. I, it's not authentic. It's a slippery slope to write. It is especially in the morning because that's that's up your whole day. When ideally glasses full or empty? However you want to look at it and either way, it's positive. However you manage it. But it can quickly get tainted in toxic if you're adding emails and responding all the facebook messaging like. No I that's the time that I deal with social media. Once a day is eight. Am I hit my computer? And that for that thirty minute period I'm checking behind my team I'm checking the post. analytics the reports whatever. And, that's the time that I do. Respond to messages I mean for those who do follow me on social media. Please do join a community. If you haven't there's a lot of great content I. Try to give away as much content as possible to people, so we're GONNA. Find you win. Win Effective pod Tom. Affect podcast I'm also I mean that's the handle for social media for the win win effect, Luca I'm that's on pretty much every social media channel. Platform for myself. I went with the wholesale saying this is Chris Ross 'cause. Add the most common name ever America. is though or Says I remember that because that's. He went with my sales. Because that's I introduced myself to. This is Chris Ross. Got Behind it but I did win the battle of getting my handle for Instagram, so it is Chris Ross so. You. Yeah I did win. That battle had to pay for the rights for my name just because I knew the route that I was. You know maybe working behind the scenes for so many years now yeah I'm starting to pull. You know. I took the mask off and I went. Behind the scenes hey. Me Guy. Bag because now is trying to find information about you know and and I had a lot already, and all this and he's like I can't find much about Chris I. Think he's just now coming out with. Brand and all. Right last I think. US About seven months. About seven months I started picking my head around the corner now all the way out nothing. I'm all the way out now. just because I'm doing a lot of like interviews Mike. You're great stuff. Going on I'm honored actually obviously be on your podcast. I mean this one I mean. 'cause it's all about this is my way of networking, but I'm not networking. That's right. Yeah, that's why we started this show from day one. That was the number one now we all these other things, but yeah yeah. That's an world at what you do, but if no one knows who you are, then what the fuck point right so I have one last sort of sales question I know it's sort of disjointed from the rest of the conversation, but I wanNA I. WanNa bring it up before before we let you go when it comes to objection handling of one of the biggest objections that I feel like most people come across the money objection, and obviously when when you're selling, you're not going to. Push somebody into something. If you don't feel, it's a good fit for him. But what if you have something that you know is just the perfect fit for this person, but they literally do not have the money in the bank account to buy like how how do you overcome the money objection when it comes to things like high ticket sales? How do you get people over it? If you know in your heart that this thing is the thing they need. Right it's about being being able to express that same feeling the way you described it to them. Listen Mr, and Mrs Prospect I know that this can be a game changer for you may be potentially. You don't know this and you don't feel that yet. However, that's my role and we'll talk about that later. Here's what here's what I could do with you. Right now is either I can say hey. You can go to one of these funding resources. People may pad bad decision. Let me get what's happened right now with Kovic Shit. BLOSSER businesses lost a lot of money. Man, I've been screaming on top of the frigging hill for the last eight years. If you're not online in the next three years, you're dead, so I'm not saying I was smart. I've just had to write people telling me the same shit so. The question when I try to do is try to address that pretty much at the beginning that very first encounter I can't i. don't know what happens in your life in your finances. Maybe potentially you've made some poor decisions. Maybe you got tied into the wrong people and took your money and get scammed ideal a lot of this especially, not talking about high ticket program because drove me to build the companies that I built bandic. Everything. I have so. I tried to address the beginning. I say Mr Prospect listen, there will be a time in his type of program will be a time in you know in this type of situation our journey together that you're going to say hey. I think I might want to look into. You know making myself a little bit more flexible financially, if I, if I if I am recommended for this program. Talked about taking away It's a recommendation process. With everything that I teach so I'll say listen what I would do in your type of situation. We're always going to need capital I mean. You can't start a freaking hot dog. Stand without capital. Be Real. I love hot dog stands next thing I'm GONNA. Do in London. There's zero dachshund..

"So when I very first up is through your minds and impressionable to I thirty to forty five minutes of your day I know. I need to do is kind of like going to a tub or a body of water. You gotTa pull the Plug and dump all the bullshit out right so whatever baggage or whatever I did that morning were denied, or whatever happened to me. I need a release all the pressure and lease everything out of me and clear. My own mind says mind body spirit. Mind Body. Get yourself into a slipknot. Not work out that working hours later, but just getting yourself to a sweat and stretch out breathing exercising whatever you're trying to do to clear out your mechanism. Clear out your mind, then you pray then I go into my critical thinking critical thinking changes for a lot of people for myself I. Get the best worked on in the shower curtain. Shower I get most thoughts I have. You A CD. You have, notepads. Pads everywhere my house. I have an audio recorder like US little. People Laugh at me all the time, and I have those little dictator phone thing. Like, what are you doctor them light perhaps. Dodger love, be whatever so to somebody ever ways with that, so what do use that instead of just like pulling out your cell phone? because. I don't want to. That's the whole point in that I'm glad that you touched on that I don't WanNa. Bring my phone into my. Place of Recovery in my room Gotcha that makes sense. To separate. Yeah, you touch your phone. "You make the decision? I mean that's true. Man has like if you're open them up that much now you have a trusted advisor, hopefully in you or the salesperson speaking to that person and right. Yeah, if you don't know what to do with them and lead them down the right path after that then I mean. Who knows where you're taking that person then. What do you think Tom Lifetime value of customers for me? Oh. Shoot, I I know it's high. I mean you have to look at the multiple different types of opportunities. Some of these guys make just as much money, if not more money than I do a year and it's not about getting on here me like yeah. I mean figures and I've done this, and I've no. It's about how many people have served enough helped. Because? It's not about the money. Money will come if you dedicate time and effort into. Mastering your own self, I Yeah, if you're able to do that, you can. Just find the right vehicle. Bro, you'll find it. Put the right universe. I believe some of this stuff of attraction all away. There's a lot of holes into what is now. The one the sales approach in L. P. May come on. There's a lot of holes in that Shit. Like what are some holes? There I'm curious. It's. Follow through. It's the follow through a not. They can persuade them or convince them an influence on what they need to do, but there's zero follow through and follow up on the back end, and making sure they're doing the right things for the for the person Gotcha. Okay, so there's like kind of lead up, but there's no follow through and studied it. That's where I think I made. A huge shift is when that was. Years Ago I went to that event wasn't just that one event changed everything i. think there's just a spiral of events that kind of chain reaction to a lot of things that I was already doing myself better because when I hit that I. was you know at the time? I was a regional I had four different campuses I was taking over I was going in hiring and firing sales teams as I man. I can make a shit on money this ship by myself. I just didn't know how and in another thing I didn't have capital. Hopes! Right I had the confidence I had the skill. I just needed to be polished up a little bit. And so I sort of reaching out to so maybe people that have made that type of money before, and then I realized I never learned like something from like a specific thing from someone it was like look for explicit knowledge so I can take that explicit knowledge and apply it. Bam, yeah, you're kind of picking and choosing and then apply what fits I don't like reading a whole book. I've read a lot of books, but I don't like. All that bullshit information that you're giving me to sell a book I don't WanNa. Listen to it so I'll pick out what I like and then I. Dedicate my time and seeing how implement that. Yeah, that's that's the worst when you get a book in the first like three chapters are telling you why you should read the book. I'm like yeah. I mean I'm already bought it. Shut the bug I tell. What is this? Re Seventy me so I don't return the book. Barnes no are. You does that I. Tell You what book is actually good. I'm listening to it. You know mentioned before I was. Reading it on a thing kind of goes together on means his takes me longer to get through it so. Curtis Jackson fifty cent. Man, that's a great book. I'm. Just. Some maybe it's just called that I don't know one, Mike, she the Co host, the my show West, base. he actually man you should, you should listen to. His Book Is Really Good Book Now? Mike. What is it about it? He's like different personas. You gotTA. Make the fifty cent type of version of himself to be able to deal with what you deal with the be successful, Curtis. Jackson's different I've always loved that. There's A. My God. It's an alter ego of Todd Herman Herman. If you you'd probably like that, too. He's been on the show and same idea is talking. He's Kinda chat about different celebrities and breaking them open like beyond say are in Sasha. Fierce like that was her stay for a while because she you know she needed by then. She graduated to beyond say she's like I. Don't need Sasha fears anymore. I'm on stage on me now, but yeah, I remember Reading Jeff Fiftieth Law which was Curtis Jackson with Robert, Greene who wrote the forty eight laws of power that was really really good as well sort of some similar concepts nice. The there's a couple of different books talks a lot about that I believe in some of it. How do I put this and there's a daily routine I work on. Get myself ready to serve right I. Mean I can't wake up of, but I am Chris Ross Go. I'M GONNA? You know man I thought you're. To the national, my own emotions, you know I'm going to make an impact with all these people helmet. It's the biggest battle I win days at five am when I wake up. So walk. See that that was one of the things I've read in the one percent day method you go through. It's very the spreadsheet. It's like you yet. Different categories and all that I'm just the kind of person where I like to try out. And what works for me isn't potentially going to work for everybody I? Like to see it because I'm more of a visual type of person. When I wake up five am. That's when. My Mind's had time to rest at my body's had time to rest..

"Trying to talk to me. It was I'm Ya myself like a football player the tape. Yeah, right you got. You GotTa I. Mean Just like what Bill Belichick. How much does he watch? Take all the time. Propaganda Man Yeah. Learn from your failures and learn more from your wings in. Yeah, that's a really good point. Yeah? Yeah a videos of Tom Brady and he's sitting there eating breakfast watching footage in the morning at football. Stop Man I love music. I don't listen to music other than just background stuff maybe just. Need to get my mind off a things I. Don't, but would that competitive advantage another thing comes with me. Trying to focus on, how can I increase my knowledge? How can I make more of an impact? How can I do this in a different capacity different scales? I- I pinch myself. Sometimes you know how the hell did I get here? I know how I got here hard work. Yeah, and you're reviewing it, so you're anchoring all that stuff in your head, and and obviously the stuff that you probably could have done better. Maybe some gaps in that conversation. Could frame that question better. It's been in every sales calls. It sounds different every single one, but I have. Every scenario went through over one hundred thousand times. Oh, well because I'm playing out in my own mind I'm playing imagery technique emerges training. I do that a lot. Going Group calls. I if his training, when is this is freestyle? It's just me having a normal conversation because I believe that's the most authentic thing is podcast. I think that should be zero scripted nothing is should just microphone another person just trying to make an impact with the listeners? Does all about a man in his free content, but my competitive advantage goes all back to my sister. In me. Her breathing through tubes. In struggling a breeze. I have no reason and I have no excuse guys not to be great. How old were you held? Were you when you're watching her? She was she. She was always supposed to make four years old. And I think that was. Probably a good thing that she couldn't comprehend what the doctor has his diagnosis because she made it till it when she was seventeen years old you probably. Better. But I was in a crib with her. I had nothing I had no idea that anything was wrong. With her. I was I was a baby. I was two years younger than her right so okay. Three almost three years, and I was three years younger than her, but I had no idea nothing was wrong, so she was my best friend. To be honest with gropers ain't crib until my mom couldn't really you know take care. When she got bigger and whatnot saw watched it from every year around February timeframe, she would get sick. Get MONJA and I would see that and I'm GonNa have to witness that. My Mom's had eight back surgeries. You know beating cancer at one point I watched. My Dad worked his ass off his whole life. You know and he had a sacrifice things he wanted to do in life just to be able to put food on the table and provide because he had a family. So you win a lot from. Just paying attention to your surroundings like when you realize I went to a Tony Robbins event. I think it changed my life, but eight years ago really. Changed my life. I knew who Tony. Robbins was of course doesn't on the planet. But I didn't know the Tennessee of what he was bringing to the table this. What is it? Unleash the power within man. I'll walk narrow. These guys are like doing like freak him. I don't know she. Water bottles up in the air, throwing t shirts fire Bras I don't do drugs or drink so i. don't know what the hell's happening here. Sign up for this. In that's all about just changing your emotional states, and I realized one. There was one key thing that I learned well to actually was when I realized life was happening to me. It was happening for me for a reason. And, that I felt that before, but hearing it coming from. Someone at that type of authority figure. And one. He's that fucking massive. I don't know if you've ever back. I've never met him in person, but I've seen him in person. Tony you're listening to love to have you on the show Wayne. San Jay's my life with this. The next thing he did is I've always been I've always been. Had A lot of pride of saying. I can break through people's emotional bullshit pretty quickly. and breaking through the layers and getting to the corner route of a problem. But May. When you watch someone like him. Like that with I-IT's like cutting like a hot knife, cutting through butter and it's quick to. Man and it was and it wasn't like. It wasn't just like him. Just get into the core. He knew what to do with it when he got him into core when they're in the most vulnerable. Good Point, yeah! Because, that's where a lot of sales people fail is that they can get to the core problem they they. They tried to avoid tension because tension. Does something different inside that dynamic? They don't WanNa ruin their sale is it? They're kind of anchored there like they still want this win at the end of the day like they're still trying to get the sale, but they're still passed them do the journey. We gotta get there. Exactly I mean. Are you there to take orders? Are you there to change.

Okay, so when I made that commitment to become one percent better each and every day it was for myself had nothing to do with me perfecting my crafter me. Trying to you know, have a better quality of life had everything to do with how I felt about myself. In it comes in. That's where it comes from my competitive advantage. They'll touch more about that, but when I look at these notes and I'm writing down all these negative things me. Realigning I'm going to go back. I tell my clients. This could just goes with the CEO's and I work with listen. What I'm going to do it this time now that we've. I've learned a lot on this phone. Call I've learned a lot in Nisa counter with you. What are you to do after you reflect on this I'll tell you exactly what I would like for you to do and propose, but what? What do you think you need to do? And then they'll tell me and then I'm going to correct that. If it needs to be corrected and say you're doing business I'm doing this. We're GONNA. Meet back for this next meeting. How exciting is that because I'm GonNa Spend fifteen to twenty minutes digging into this recording listening to wear. Potentially miss an opportunity or good. Maybe enhance your overall experience with business system or this journey. That's indirectly telling them that I care more about them than I care about the sale. because. I'm working on them, but I'm not working on. Getting them closer to the buying timeframe getting closing closing sale. It's something to deal with them personally. I feel it could help them best. Serve them long term, not just short-term. It's a very empathetic way of your literally putting yourself hopefully not in bath with them but you. Also. Looks like. What is your life look like? Through. Everyday life for you so if they requested information. Can Mr and Mrs Prospect? Can you do me a favor? And I would like to for you to put yourself back into same emotion. When you took action on this program or took requested this information. What was going on your world at that time? I put myself back in that. I'm most now many to figure out what actually. Made. THEM WANNA take action like now I'm putting myself in that emotion with them. Do you see how that can be powerful? Yeah, while you're doing. It seems like, is you're you're bringing them back to this anchor point that might have started this journey that they're looking for solutions to and here you are bringing him back understanding your also like rewinding the clock and their brains, and here's Chris along for the whole journey there and then he's going to set you up with the right path. Sales people. You can't do that on the Strip right. Here reading a script, he gets the next question frame that. I want you to understand. This calls zero judgment. Zero. Issues I can give you shit, can I? I. Can give a shit. What's happened to your life? Before me. Good, bad ugly I'm still going to be able to deal with it with you. If. You'll allow me and give me the opportunity to help you. There's people that I've helped and served over the years has given me enough skills and enough funding when how I can deal with whatever happened. There's nothing that you're going to share with me. The perhaps I haven't heard before, and if you do share something with me that I haven't heard I, will bring it up and you'll your name's GonNa be that objection. That's right. Because it's I. Want now what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to let them know what's going to happen. Think about perfect example I hate dentist, not all Dennis I just hate going to the dentist office It is not about the pain because he numb you up. You don't feel it is real, but it's the aftermath. Is Like your mouse numb? You can't feel anything the whole drill. It's glasses. They look at you and is you know when you're looking at? Who are.

"But most of my neighborhoods actually elderly it should be knocking on my neighbors stores actually. Kids their kids. Have to look at me and I wanted to wear nicer things like when you're in high school, you know as a big thing right so dingy. Come from a lot of money just because of. The situation with my sister and my dad had. Two to three jobs, his whole life to kind of. Provide and I've watched. You know, but then again with all the things that we lacked. I didn't know that were not in a good financial situation, because I was I was raised by good people, and they give me everything I needed love and all the different little missing. Hidden tools in golden nuggets growing up in a crazy work that thick so. The GonNa give you a little bit more so i. went into my career in sales. You know how they give a script. Say here's your script and you sell. Does I'm like I? Don't WanNa do that. Didn't work for me because it sales is all about adopting the right approach, it works for you and give you a little bit more about myself I was. I can't I couldn't read that well off script because dislikes never deal was really wrong. Just all the words kind of go together. One of the major reason so I've the kind of person where I had like memorize the script and making my own, and then I was able to execute, so was in chemical sales for a long time. Two thousand eight happen went in. That coffee didn't really work out well for me. I, did very well. I was able I learned some valuable traits. What was I was in the military by some great leaders? In is you, don't you don't really need a position to be a leader? You can become a leader even if you're a bottom like I, guess you would say a Salesperson Scher being a rep so I went from just me being route to a team lead to director to a regional director emissions for. Those types of fields and taking over whole region within about two to three years, so when that happened and everything shifted over I went to education, and I was probably the best. I don't know it's probably you know how it is right now. With corporate is pandemic going on, there's like little hidden pivotal points in your career where it can really shift you. Yeah, in shift your whole career in two different way of you ever thought about it. So being a leader for you is kind of that that thing that I mean it sounds like yeah, that from fourteen I mean if you're already out there, charging the neighborhood with. Being doors relieving yourself of course. Of course and I think that's where it kind of goes with everything that I do believe in sales up to leave ever person salesperson, every person and I. Mean a lot of entrepreneurs. Now you know and I still do what I do. Just in a different capacity I'm working with companies and corporations and people that make pretty big deals, but the ones that. Understand it if you develop enough emotional intelligence, enough understanding of what people say to you what they don't say to you. You can make a huge impact especially even on a team like so say for instance. Speaking Matt, you and I are on the same team in. Joe will be on a different team, but if we have a really connection, you don't really need to tell me what you're feeling and what you're doing. What do you? What do you think's GonNa Happen within our team. I think we're GONNA outsell Joe's team. I really don't even explain things to you. This is synergy understanding to in a bond relationship between again exactly yeah, because people don't ever I don't think they don't spend enough time on actually knowing what a person is feeling You don't really have to understand like what I feel. I'm not trying to get into the emotional side, but when I try to do is understand least having. Enough empathy and understand what they're going through, and then I I can make proper adjustments from there. Yeah, and that goes back to I know you said something. It's listening. You know it's the whole. I feel like if you're just on a script, you are waiting for your opportunity to jump to that bullet point you need. As I play like jump rope deldot shiver. The South we see kids jump ropes and. I would always fall asleep. There's actually a video when I was a kid trying to jump rope. That was not that didn't go so. I the only listening four enough to be able to interject their product or service or good And not asking the what when why? How question? So if you're really struggling out there in sales and if you want to experience. What it feels like to have zero by remorse. Aso What when why? How questions diagnostic questions, open ended questions understand what they're really going through when I usually ask questions with people in. It doesn't really matter what capacity what they do for a living. I'm not really listening for what they're saying to me. I'm listening for what they're not saying to me. And you get that buy. Those diagnostic questions is not a new question. That's what's Nice 'cause it's and I learned that from. WHO's IT Chris Voss Crisper? Voss yes, there was a different I love his stuff and I didn't know who he was until. Probably like seven or eight months ago. No Joke! Wow, just because his name's very similar to mine. Gary. Chris Ross so there's only one letter right so. I didn't really was. I was I. I was watching something you were seen that masterclass. I've seen I've seen his. I haven't seen his whole thing to solve the advertisement, and said Chris boss I. Guess someone you know. How like someone attach. At you or whatever it was, and they did they. They tighten your name wrong entitled. Ross and I'm like this me was this guy? FBI as he had definitely, not me. Coming after listening to this Chris, love your stuff man, love your stuff, yeah! was. We had the pleasure to have him on the show here, too, and before that it. Yeah, we I read his book, and that was the that was my big takeaway was where asking questions that they can't answer. Yes, or no to, but it opens them up for negotiation. Of course you now have the power because they're just feeding you answers yet. Our near next moves. If you're listening of course, right, you've gotTA. Listen I'm. I've been like this since I was it a very young salesperson. Always been a NOTEPAD PAT on my desk When someone's talking I'm writing down. Inks. In like video doesn't really work well for me when I'm like discovery type of call. I! Didn't actually at a visual. Turn the camera off and be voiced voice. Because now I'm GONNA. Use My senses and I want them to hear me. Yeah I teach a lot of this with younger sales, people, or maybe some sales people have been in a game for twenty years may think the need is sell on video. Yeah, doing group calls trainings, those types of meetings definitely video. They need to see you as a real person, but when you're. In. Say. When you're in zone and your instinct would, someone has only going to happen when you're using your senses and using your brain so when I tied up Mike when cold calling making sample, make it easy for his listeners. Think about a cold call. You had to call someone out the blue. Don't know nothing about him. Other name email phone number loved that stuff. When I call I want to get their attention as the first. Obviously objective you right, you get attention. Like Hey Joe. What's going on today Ma'am I? Remember ten like I, know you. because. You're another human being. You're no special. Special on Christie's Information Yeah Mike Joe Purpose for my meeting today or I for my call is Blah Blah Blah Blah, and then I'm dive into. Where were you at in the world? I'm closing. My eyes and I want to use my sense I'm a here. What's happening in your background? Is Our car passing loud noise, is it? A kid is does sound like you're eating at a bowl. You're eating ice. Dream Like I had no doubt no bullshit. One time I had someone sound like he was taking a bath and actually called.

What got was like fifteen years, or so since you've been in the kind of sales realm during the business there right right well, I join the military at seventeen years old. High School. My sister passed older. Sister passed away at fifteen. she was born handicapped, mentally retarded where they call. It obviously backed in what they called it sure and that's not the reason why I'm telling you to axel dive into. That's one of my competitive advantages. But when I left and went to the military, it was Kinda like when in the eighties when you? Come up and you graduate high school. You go find a job Go into the military or go to college through our it really digging the college thing so I went into the military because my family couldn't really afford to send me to college. My Dad to me was like. Either as you, your sister younger sister, Megan and I was like well. I. Guess That's you know her go. I look at it as the sacrifice I enjoyed. It was probably the best decision I've ever made in my life. I was in the United States Navy so. I get out! Is e five Osa Mate, so I drove like small boats. Original inflatable boats did that for about five years got out the military of course. I now have college. Money wanted to kind of go into that type of. You know opportunity for myself which it was a different type of field. Though you know when you go when you're a little bit older, you know a little bit. Different, yeah, you're like I'm not really digging the hole parties. I did that when I was in the navy. Probably better than any college party. Got Out got recruited right out of college and went to right into chemical sales, always been in sales Even when I was a kid like going into the about fourteen years old, we move from one area and went to move until Cole sack like you'll type of suburban type. Stuff and I started my own lawn care business when I was fourteen took over the area cutting grass, so I've always been kind of the person the. You don't have to tell me to do things just move, so they? You're knocking on doors. You're hustling from fourteen. Yeah I was like doing wash car. Do you want me to cut your grass? What would you like me to do? 'cause they're are older people. They don't physically not able to. Do, those things so I'm gonNA. Tell me. Like? He lives in a coal to sack I'm like okay. It's about three days and I'm like all right I'm Kinda over at. A two-day. Today's even better. Yeah three days, dirty Bert. You'RE GONNA. Go go all right Travis. We love him in, but sorry. Yeah, so that's how that's how we got hooked up here and I think I. Think it was just chatting about podcasts, and then we started riffing I mean you're just fun to talk talk with, and you know it just seems like a I know that's GonNa lead to a really cool podcast here. Bri Precursor Yeah because. Our conversations were it went from. Just you know picking each other's brain and figuring out how we can both serve each other and your audience as whatever and a minute from from that personal the digging in and that's normal. You know when you have conversations and you really care about the person you know it is. I mean you probably have tons of guests and I. I love your show by the way. "Now like Chris is cool, Cooler Shit, and and that's how you should be when you're just with people, and like I, think there's like a genuine like there's a there's a value add. He wants to do better in the world. He wants to help people. That's what we aim to do well and like. If you actually care about other people, then like you're, you're selling you know, but you're listening you're you're giving in your connecting in your problem solving all this cool stuff, so yeah? It's good stuff and like he he really breaks it down. You'll have some. Some mind shifts around selling We do have notes. We just got done talking about notes. Shoutout what it is. Yeah, so you can go get the notes for free, but listen closely. You gotta go get him within two weeks of this episode going live or they get. So. Go was reprimanded. Yes, inclu are Steve. I know you're listening Steve Day. Get then you're you're you're listening, but you're good. You're good you're. Plus I think he's a member of our communities so engineer. Yeah, so he's getting all the notes and backlogs. But Hustle and flow chart dot com slash comp. Go get them not there their free for two weeks other than that. They're locked in our volt and you can get. Fifteen bucks a month, so hustle and flow chart dot com slash. COMP is where you can go get those also. This isn't a sponsor now, but it's a cool tool that we've been playing around with. It's super cool all right so this thing is called groove pages, and it's by our. Buddy Mike Phil same. We've actually had him on the podcast, so you might have heard the episode that came alive and we did video and all that did a whole big old demo. This thing cool thing group pages is it's free it. Yes, that's the coolest thing. But the second thing is. This is probably like the second most asked question to us of our community and listeners, pages, or yeah, well first thing is like hey, what's that shopping cart? Because they you know we talk a lot about conversions and I? Thrive hurt thrive carts, the shopping, Kara V. I guess the other one is like what's lead capture convert Bach box, but it's like what's What page builder do you recommend and we've never really hung our hat on just one page builder Noah, and we. We still don't so I mean here's the interesting thing in the really cool thing with Groove, and what might will sames doing is that he's making it a no brainer for every single person including us even though because we're constantly on the hunt, what is not only what is the best page builder? What is the easiest low friction way to get a page up and selling and you'll hear like Chris even kind of. Come at me a little bit, not not a bad way, but he's like you know like BC saying like I. got like some perfectionist tendencies in me, and it's absolutely true. And he said seventy five percent good enough to get it out there and like if you're just looking for any kind of two I think that's a good thing to get it out, but grew pages like if you're just like stuck in, you, just don't have a good tool or you're looking for something new like the things free yeah. Yeah I mean even if you've got one even if you've got click funnels or lead pages or one of the other ones I mean they're all good. That's that's what we've never really. Hunger hat on one is because we actually kind of like them all, but if if you don't have one already just go get group pages. It's free. We've got a link over hustle and flow chart dot com slash groove. We will get credit if you buy something leader down the road, but it's free right now, right? But even if you have like a clique funnels or lead pages, go get this to and just see if you like it better. Maybe maybe you can cut one of those costs if you prefer this one well, that's the big thing right there as to like you see this is opt unity. Cut some costs. If you've been just like sitting on the sideline and stuck trying to you know maybe hire people to help you out or hacking together and wordpress like gig group pages. You will think yourself and maybe a slater. Either way you will get in there. There's not even credit card required. That's what's coming crazy, so and it's here's a genuine thing. A really interesting case study of lead generation, but then like how to do affiliate management and promotions, and all that because Mike Ville same is one of the best out there, and you'll literally see like how he does this, so I would use it as a case, a learning lesson as well. Yeah, annual gay group pages for free so hustle intro, hustle and flow chart dot com slash groove. Alright hustlers flow charters. Let's go to Chris Ross. Chris we have recorded how you doing my friend man. I'm always getting me. Why my friends what's going on? Love that. I wish you're wearing. For video or staring at each other, you're out in London right now. It's a little past six and always think like it's GonNa be like nighttime. Broach? No, yeah. I, I like to say that. I'm five hours ahead of everyone. So at least in know you. Guys are in West Coast so eight hours. Because obviously, my businesses are in states. What time it is if it's dark, light out raining. I'm taking calls man. This is all it also growing epic beard. That was the other day I was GONNA say I'm getting down I'm growing it out growing up. Was it what it is compensating for the lack of? Eddie, up top! That's right. That's right. It's not all the way gray yet, so we're good. Oh, you're! GonNa, show, really honored I really do appreciate thanks for you and I have chatted numerous times, four or five times or something like that and we've chatted about your podcast. This show getting you on here, but then just just the really cool sales stuff. You're doing people. You're working with people with companies you're working for. How did you get connected? I'm always fascinated because joe, CEO everyone and so I'm always kind of curious of the origin story of how Joe knows. My copywriter. I think you're Oh,.

Is like it's so funny. We get these support emails occasionally that it Baffles us how many people will complain about a free thing that they were expecting, but they didn't get so prime example are these companion notes? We have every podcast. We always take notes and we say hey. Within two weeks of this going live, you'll be able to get the news for free after that. Go Way There's actually four episodes of notes that are freaking free ones like four to five pages. Free. Like cliff notes of a deep dive, which is typically a master class like in this one. We're talking to Chris Ross GonNa. Say VOSS. We'll come. Come up on the show. Yeah, that's a new balloon later but Chris Ross. like this is going to be a masterclass right now of sales in how you and everyone around. You can do sales even if you don't think so the notes that are free. are literally like gold. I mean that is a product. You would pay for Hundred Bucks Thousand Bucks whatever it's worth to. You doesn't matter in all different things to other people by like when people bitch. There's definitely money all you want it because we're paying people to make these things for you. undervalue but we're giving them away for free. At some point in a matter, it's just funny. How like there's a lot of folks that will they approach it? In the incorrect way we'll say and they come off hostile when they're looking for something free. Maybe they were a little late, which was the case in his new scenarios is like they didn't get the notes and time and they're like. This isn't what I was like Whoa. Hold on. I'll give me those. Let's be nice. Let's think about like this is a free service offering, and it's just a you know. There's a lot of other free services that are offered. Be A. Good human. Here's a little secret and I don't know if I should say this publicly, but be hardy. Open the loop. If somebody was email our support and say oh. I just listened to that episode, but the notes aren't available anymore. Chances are will be cool and just send you the note. I just don't do it for like every frigging episode, but there's like one that you really want the notes for. Email support. We'd probably hook you up. Pretty Ninety nine percent sure yeah so. That's Hashtag into rant. Yeah, Hashtag in rent so like you said we're talking to Chris Ross today with an R.. R.. O. S. YES, so we're talking to Chris Ross and the way I would describe this one is almost the mental game of sales because he really went into like what the mindset you have to be in to be good at this is and how you need to approach it even talk about his daily routine. So like this is like he gets up at five am every morning. These are the process. He goes through to get set up for the day. We talked about how you handle objections and more of it is it? It's less about like what scripts and exactly what to say and more of like what your brain needs to be. How your brain is. Be Working going into the conversation. Yeah, yeah, and it's. A little step back. Yeah, Chris and I we had tons of chats, and I gotTA shout out. To Travis Cody. His copywriter, the Calcutta remember I'm sorry, Travis any listen man and you're so cool. You know I. Know You just like man I just blink gathers. Connections thing that's always. Knew who I met this. But. Yeah, so Chris, him and I. His his win win effect. PODCAST is Chris.
