"Don't see because they can't market it. They can't sell it. They can't sell a pistol peak Jersey. Black and white too. No, he's got 16 millimeter. No, that's black and white. They have it in color. There's full color, bro pistol P video? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, no question. Yeah, you'll see him. You only see one or two. It's just like the moon landing. You only see one or two of that. We're not going to get into the moon landing, right? Good. We're not going to good. Not talking about it talking about it. TJ, how was pride parade this week? You had to have somebody there to at least video it. I remember when I asked, I said, hey, can I get a camera to go down to the pride video? They go, where are we going to put it on the best dance bus? I go, yeah, it's going to be hilarious. It's a part of life, man. For sure. But I wasn't able to attend this year. He wasn't able to be able to go down to what I told you. So my car is all jacked up. So I'm trying to go anywhere at this point. Yeah, yeah. You do anything not to get gas. He doesn't even leave his house. You got to set me an Uber. Uber, my back is hurting. You mentioned the best damn, it's too bad. Mike's not here today because he worked on that back in the day. What was that like? The phenomenon of that show. I remember watching it in the early 2000s. It was awesome. I mean, I told somebody yesterday, I remember Joe buck said something that was a silly show and I got upset and Chris rose is like, come on, man. Chill. And I was like, what? Y'all acting like Joe buck is more important than what was I couldn't get it. It was a lot of fun because we had comedy writers writing comedy about sports and I knew that athletes were very sensitive. I knew they didn't have a lot of them didn't have a funny bone in their body. But it really got to the point Tiger Woods and want to come on. I got to interview him, but he didn't want to come on because the time honor was making jokes. But he wound up doing an interview with me because I'm cool like that. And I got juice. But it was the most fun. And I say this because I know these guys are going to watch, right? We have John ants, Weinberg, Becker, I don't want to leave all the names out because I don't want to do Cahill. All the people who are exactly the producers. I used to constantly say to them, this is the best job we're ever going to have. To get there, well, I got there one. The production meeting started one, so I get there one.

"Hello everybody and thank you for tuning into the liberty report with us. Today as chris rose any are co hosts chris. Welcome to the program to be with you. Dr pool very good chris. You and i've talked about What are subjects you will be today. And it has to do with an article written by one of our staff people adam dick and his up on their rpi site and he goes into some of the dangers. We've talked about this Daniel and i certainly have. And you and i have to the dangers of this passport. Saying you know the mess of it especially the vaccine passport. So a distortion of medical care and civil liberties it's just the horror and he points that out as main theme of his article was that You know it's it's a vaccine passport and there are some very short cars but the biggest one is morph into something else and it'll be a vaccine at Is is the universal passport. And that's what we want to talk about today. The potential dangers of that. And i think we already see that happening One of the most disturbing things that I've had to watch and see is when there's when there's a argument or a concern about this The administration and the cdc are getting tremendous support from the big big businesses corporations. And it seems like they're always already using as a tool maybe they're succumbing to pressure from the government because governments have a lot of control over social media in sometimes people and social media or the banking system or whatever are sympathetic to what they're trying to do there sympathetic to one world government and they sort of go along with it but From the very beginning. I think Most libertarians have been very very leery of this and it's getting Worse in some regards. chris i have to admit i keep my fingers crossed always looking for you know a better outcome and Even though the is becoming more determined it's becoming international and yet at the same time. We're seeing that. The resistance is building so if we don't do anything else other than give the people who tend to want to resist and think they should resist and they need some ammunition to resist some of this Authoritarianism at growing along with growing around the Universal passport the vaccine passport so That is our goal today. So chris Let me have a couple of words about vaccine passports. Yes thank you. Dr paul and i do recommend everyone Adam is a great writer. At the ron paul institute website. He writes a couple times a week and he always comes through..

"Attack machine out there. Yes, you mind stepping through here? It will go off if you have Spider attack on your person. Spider Tax smelling dog. Yeah, right. So at the end of the day, yes, there's There is a frustration and I think you have to have empathy for these players because you because for years the lead did not give a crap and then all of a sudden in the middle of the season. Coming off a pandemic shortened season where they didn't get their innings in Now you're asking them to make an adjustment on the fly. Once again. It's they're trying to make the players look bad. Yeah, I don't think that's a great way to run your business. No agree. Well, here is the last word from Rob Manfred. I understand there's a history of foreign substances being used on the ball. But what we are seeing today is objectively far different. I believe there is truth in that. But I think, Chris you what you just mentioned is the overarching point. This is a chance for Major League baseball to use a bat. And see if they can hammer the union over the head and see if we can get away with maybe cause some dissension because mucking up that union it seems to have been baseball's priority for a long, long time. Hey, man, Good luck with the with the podcast end. How about media? I really like to work. That that's done over there. Just the deliberating and given us the inside sounds of baseball. I think it is a great tool to really get into the game, you know, And it's not surprising that has done outside of Major League baseball. So just want to give your big ups on that. It's a good outfit over there, man. I'm glad you're with them well. We appreciate it. It's a ton of fun. And I always say this is that we're kind of You can decide, however you feel about sports and but We kind of give you like the truth like you guys can decide how you feel about it, but you're going to hear from the players. And if we do that, then we've done a good job, so we appreciated him. We'll be listening, my man, be well and let's get a chance to talk. You guys as well quickly possible, Take care. All right, Chris rose. We appreciate his time. I will give you the Giants lineup in just the second, and we'll also talk.

"The thing was consuming me. It was consuming. Everything i was about and i didn't like it. I didn't like the direction. I was headed and simplified my life and i was like. Oh my god. I wish i could do that. Like don't you get a panic when you can't find your phone's all like you're right and if you're anything like me you've probably left it in the bathroom. Where's this thing. I know it somewhere. You know you're. You're you know that. The chris rose rotation features. A nicasio us. It's part of the john boy media network. We have tweeted out a link to the youtube page at molecular this is. This is a question that you could probably. We could probably spend the next twenty minutes talking about. I'm i'm not gonna not gonna keep you that. But just the general direction of this sport which competitively economically culturally in many respects. Feels like it's if it's not approaching a crossroads there where gimme some thoughts on. Just the the overall just state of the game the state of the sport words going where it should be going and frankly where it should not be going. Well okay. i've got a few thoughts on it. I don't think we've ever had better talent under the age of twenty five and we have right now. I really believe that. I think group of players and players that are marketable and fun to watch on a daily basis. Numbers are huge there. It's great so. I think athletically like where we are. I don't think all of them are amazing baseball players. But i think that's part of the fault of of the teams and how guys are being off. I mean that's one thing we talked about with. Nick was anything he said. Basically there's one swing plane being taught like that's not the way the game's played because it's such a situational sport like usually ground ground out the second with nobody on doesn't help anyone aggrandize.

"And it's it's a shame the rest of the team hasn't lived up to its billing yet but one thing that nick really gets into is how much he wants to win for the city. He's playing for. He talked about one thing. You know those detroit teams before he got there. Were great writing. Made the world series in twenty twelve He said the one thing that stuck with me is that they didn't finish the job. I was like nick. They were really close he goes. Yeah but that doesn't matter. He goes chris. I grew up in the miami area. And all i remember is ninety seven and two thousand and three and what it meant to the community down there. He's like that's what i want to bring back to cincinnati. It has been a long time. It's a good people. Queen city have enjoyed something like that. He's like that is why i'm busting my butt every day. It's why i was so pissed off when i got suspended. It wasn't because oh my god. They're taking ten grand out of my pocket. It's because i wanted to play one hundred sixty two games so that we could be the best we could be like. I had the good fortune of interviewing this guy. Maybe a year after he got into the big leagues and then just interviewing him two days ago. He's totally different person. I'm he's still has a lot of the same traits as competence. Someone call it arrogance. Which i think is actually a good thing to have in your pro athlete. But his ability evaluate himself and his purpose in this game and how great he wants to be pretty impressive where he is. You know you go back to the incident against the cardinals and were biased. I thought it was stupid that he got suspended for two games. Got which are all right fine but to get suspended was was silly but when he yelled at jake woodford that was its reds cardinals. Cincinnati has been saint. Louis whipping boy way too long. We fancy ourselves as rivals you know. Let's face it. They typically get the better. And of of the reds. That was that was cathartic like that was that was a yell for a lot of people who have have gotten tired of the reds being kicked around by that team and the moment that happened. I mean you you could just feel it. You could see it. You could sense it. He was instantly into the pantheon fan favorites and then he backs it up with the season that he's having which i don't know that the statistical totals will keep up but he's put himself in the mvp conversation despite playing for a team that's been spinning..

It was Tyree feel that stole the show with 269 yards and three TD catches Brady match Mahomes with three scores of his own, But Tom's two picks helped doom the Bucks in a 27 24 lost to the Chiefs, The Raiders could only manage a pair of field goals. In a 43 6 loss to the Falcons. Derrick Henry got started early with three scores in the first half against the Colts. Henry finished with 100 78 guards on the ground as Tennessee cruise to a 45 26 wins Denver's rookie wide out. Kendall Hitting was elevated to quarterback to face the Saints. "Happen Now and then and then the chargers over the jets. This was a very easy one to pick thirty. Four twenty eight owen. Ten to the jets right now and it would have been a surprise if they won at The jets gave a spirited performance. They were down twenty four six the half and you just wonder if there's another game where the chargers give away the lead doesn't herbert though is a stud three hundred sixty six yards three touchdowns they have hardest thing to find. They have their franchise order back. You can say that the the jets. Probably don't i'm not a sam darnold guy never have been but the jets actually had a chance to win this game. Two minutes left drive. Got down to the chargers. Thirty two yard line That's when they made the one big mistake mistake. And that was a pick six from joe flacco early on. And if you're the jets you can't make mistakes like that and try to win but a couple of have-nots they're going i wanna come back. We'll bring chris rose on the show again to take a quick break. "And you know that that sort of that lacked awareness. I think I think you know, in some respects also got overblown. But what? What an interesting arc for him from beginning to end two now and up a key figure here in the World Series. Yeah, it is. But you know what? I personally I don't hold anything against him on and I would hope that most people won't I understand that the that they you know, whenever you hear a professional athlete in particular talk about money. It just feels like a lack of touch and lack of reality. But people have to understand that a everything's relative that what you might Thank you. Huge at home is not necessarily in in the sports and entertainment world. It just isn't And everything is we're in a pandemic, so to me, A lot of things that gets said ah lot of feelings that are being had There is no baseline, right? We don't know what is the norm in a pandemic. So all of that stuff In my opinion, there's gotta be some leeway. Given the people that we just can't jump on top of everybody for something that has said And things of that nature wasn't the smartest thing ever. No. Is that what I'm going to remember Blake now for 15 years from now? Absolutely not. Chris Rose with us here on the sports later, a lot of talk about Clayton Kershaw tonight and everything that has gone into his postseason life. So this one This one's for and it's really interesting to the way that this fell with with no days off in the playoffs until now, And so now he's set up to really play a role here because he'll probably you'd think you know he's going to start two of these games. In this World Series. How do you sort of process what he's going through and what's on the line for him in this series? Okay, so I'll throw this at you 2017 against the Astros. What is your Clayton Kershaw moment. My Clayton Kershaw moment is the game. And if I'm remembering correctly was that game five? Five, where he was spotted a four run lead and then lost it and then spotted a three run lead after that, and I lost it again. I still remember where I was. I remember the friend's house. I was at watching that game. Right. So I think for most sports fans That's exactly what they remember You. No. What? You don't remember that in game one, you went seven innings. He struck out like nine or 11 and oh, by the way In Game seven, he came out of the bullpen and through four shot out any So two of his three appearances or dominant Two of his three The on ly one you remember is Game five. The only one So that is very That's kind of the path that his playoff career has taken has been phenomenal A times He's been pretty good at times, and he had a couple of innings where he's just a bit. And He takes responsibility for it. He doesn't run from it ever. I think the Dodgers have done a below average job. In helping him with his legacy. What I mean by that is They relied on him away too much. The playoffs are such a different animal. Every attack gets grinded out. It is not like a mid July start. It's just not And so how many times has Dave Roberts Off to his pitching coach at the time, and said. We go with a guy in the bullpen, or do we keep Clayton Kershaw in the game? Because he's really better than anybody we got down there. And that's not the usual discussion that most managers have. It's just not And they'll go get a guy his e R a in the playoffs in innings, one through five, I think is 359. After the fifth inning, it's 731 writes. So if you're the Dodgers, but by the way, that's not like no Dodger executive is listening in this interview. Our holy crap. I cannot believe that it's like they know that who know yes. So help him out right if he gives you five, really strong inning and you have a one run lead. Of course, don't send him out there to fail. Go get it. Get him some help, You know, I mean, he's not the same Kershaw's he was five years ago is not. It's an interesting take, too, because you know you mentioned the name. I'm here and Maura more people as they get into this. Siri's Start to talk about what this all means for Dave Roberts, much more than I hear people talking about what it means for Clayton Kershaw. What? What do you think is on the line for him in these next 54567 games. Well, See now this is another area where I I mean, this is almost unprecedented what he's delivered in terms of Success right and nobody has had this kind of run it, though, without lifting the commissioner's trophy at the end of the day. So I will say that we all know because of sabermetrics in the role that it does play, whether you like it or you don't. There are a lot of if then scenarios that are played out before the game. And my problem with this is that at the end of the day, Dave Roberts is the one that has to explain a decision that might have been made by an entire group of people before the game, And there's nothing wrong with that. If that's the way you want to go. Roll with it. But then Dave Roberts shouldn't be the one that's sitting in front of the microphones taking the heat while everybody else is hiding under their deaths. Like I really believe that if it is a group decision Come on down and explain it to people help us understand why the collective we made the call to take a guy out of the game. Or to put somebody else in it. Because I think that it's a little bit of what we deserve. I think it's It would take some of the pressure off the manager. Although people will say Hey, listen, Dave Roberts knows exactly what he is. He's got to be the front man for this stuff. We're not goingto get some guy who's part of the Sabre Metrics team. In the postgame zoom, right, you know, but but really, he's taking the heat. For a decision that is more than him. A really good point. It's a really good point. Chris Rose with us on the sports later, Chris, I don't want to let you get out of here without a little NFL as well. And I wonder you know yourself. You're such a big Cleveland fan. And last week was I mean, I don't know howto. Howto sort of unpack What Baker Mayfield season has been so far. It's been a little odd, and I heard some frustration. Where Where are you right now? With the the you know the progress of Baker's career. Well. They're his.

"The Year award in the number two overall pick, lead all qualifying rookies and points 17.8 a game and assist 7.3 per game. He also shot 47 a half percent from the field those your half past headlines. Chris Rose joins the guys next way. We now continue with Murph in Mac on KNBR, 1045 and 68 sports leader. All right, so he's going to check in with our friend Chris Rose could go MLB. He could go NFL double dip for he's divers, man. Guess what NFL starts in six days, so Chris Rose, We welcome you back on the Murph in Max Show on the Yuma Guest line. How you doing, man? How you doing? However, you were in the last time we talked to use kind of mid pandemic and, you know, we know you're a dad and you're kind of doing your thing. You guys is the Rose clan forging through. Yes. So the older one is actually going back to college. Not technically, like in class. Everything's virtual buddies. Down in San Diego, doing his thing. The younger one just started high school virtual learning. You know, I mean, we're just like everybody else. I think kind of California and trudging along and making the best of it trying to find a way. All right. Good. Good. Good man. Could so right now, let's start with the baseball because it's September. Here I look you're Cleveland Indians buddy atop the ale Central. So TRAV go, huh? Yeah. You know, they were part of the biggest trade of of the deadline, and a lot of people thought they got hosed. I never understand those people. When you know half of the Trade pieces are young prospects. And we won't know like Will somebody turn into, you know will cleanse your beady Doyle Alexander to one of these kids. John smokes one day or night. Larry Andersen do it, Jeff Bagwell. Probably not, but I always like to at least let it trade it three or four days. Before fully judging it. But it is pretty remarkable. It's just the way the Indians organization that does things. In part because of the financial structure, But there are a lot of teams that would have traded The last 14 months, Cory Clubber, Trevor Bauer and Mike Levinger and still be in the fight. It's true to be in first place. That's true, and I think, actually looking at that they have the best run differential in the American League. I mean, watch out. Watch out. You don't want to play this, By the way. That's what a team that can't score Rose. It's one thing to have a huge run differential and be the divers, although their offense hasn't been as good as anticipated. Or, you know, to be a truly kind of white could just outside. But you have a huge run differential when you have one of the worst offices in baseball is kind of remarkable staff there. Yeah. Do you want to hit Shane Bieber? Man on untouchable on really Good. Hey, just quickly on the White Sox, NBC. Lewis Roberts Homer last night. Oh, my God, did I? I woke up this morning. It crossed my nicely. Yeah, Totally. A man. The slug and white socks. It kind of fun, man. They're kind of fun, So we'll see what happens there. Okay, so big picture. Now the baseball were watching in terms of seven inning double headers. Runners on second in the 10th. D H in the National League. I mean, I know, you know, it's been in everybody's head and we're living with it. But I'm kind of checking in with Chris Rose on Little macro. How you feeling about it, man? I just uneasiness the whole situation. You're writing it off because it's a pandemic. Are you thinking any of these air stickin? Where are we? Well, I actually was in favor of the extra inning rule going into this thing, and I actually I told what people said. Don't judge the idea. So you lived through it a few times. Um, I'm curious about your face before. I hate no hay and not into it feels totally Oh, my God, it's turned games upside that's no longer You're losing games for, like No reason. Now it's like it's like, Yeah, it's like, Wait. What? What just happened. There did. That's it? That's not baseball. So here's Chris. Here's Here's what I'm willing to meet you at the negotiation table. How about if I say you give me my baseball through the 10th, 11th and 12th? I'll give you your runner on second, starting in the 13th Meet you halfway Well, I'm with you, but she's not that far. I heard the suggestion. Let's play that. Like the rest of the previous nine innings. And then in the 11th today has to be okay with that. That's too soon. We're gonna have to leave the negotiation table here, Chris. Yeah, well, I think we can come to terms. Here's what I will say I root for extra innings. I really do like ideal. As long as it doesn't involve the Indians. I root for extraneous because I want to see it. I find it fascinating because there is I mean, the manager hated because they're going to be grilled either way, Really? I mean, I thought that there would be a little more moving runners over. You know, trying to play for lead, and I've seen people just totally ignore Bunce and totally that strategy, too. By the way, I mean, it's not. You can't say that. That is a strategy. If you just want to let let the players play. On, believe it in their hands. That's fine, too. But I like it. I think it forces action me. It's like the big blind at the poker table. I like it. I'm going to credit this to you being an American League fan, and you've lived with the D. H for so long that you your brain's been twisted is what I'm going to say has been twisted. Yeah, we'll agree with that part. Just not when it comes to. We're gonna have to be issues like gentle way down the line. Thanks very enough, Gentlemen, we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one here A just real quick on. I want to get ask you an NFL one or two on the NFL, but just quickly on Tom Seaver. I think you're kind of plus or minus a few years of me and Polly Mac here and Tom Seaver for our generation. You know, I would not a Mets guy at all. You know, I'm a San Francisco Giants guy. But, boy, you want to talk about just the name that kind of just, you know, the iconic name out of out of a book, You know Tom Seaver. Yeah. So sad, You know, but also so touching all the thoughts and tributes. What was your reaction to it all? Well, I mean, what's in 75 Me is still extremely young. It really is just you know, it's had a few years ago when you heard that he was fighting dementia, because that is just not that any disease is a great one. But that is a right old bread for anybody that had You lived through that with a family member or friend. It's interesting, so I'm 49. I don't remember Tom Seaver is in New York met the first time, right? I remember him as a Cincinnati red. And then eventually getting to the mess. And then eventually, the White Sox and to me, really? This is the thing I remember most about any pitching the complete game up in the Bronx to get its 300 win. Yeah, that was one of the first guys. I remember getting that milestone and I was like, Oh, God, that is so cool. You know, I do. Remember my dad saying it's cool if you really remember what Tom Seaver was all about, right? "Tell me about <Speech_Male> being <Speech_Male> a <Speech_Male> fulltime employee <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> as a photographer <Speech_Male> versus an independent <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> contractor. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Well <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> you know it's <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> for me <SpeakerChange> and <Speech_Male> I think for the <Speech_Male> free. <Speech_Male> It works out well <Speech_Male> because <Speech_Male> know. <Speech_Male> Aviation photography <Speech_Male> is a very specialized <Speech_Male> a <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> sort of subset <Speech_Male> of the photography <Speech_Male> world <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Working <Speech_Male> you know not having <Speech_Male> not <Speech_Male> having to <Speech_Male> put in the energy <Speech_Male> to market <Speech_Male> myself <Speech_Male> in the industry <Speech_Male> not <Speech_Male> having to worry about <Speech_Male> You <Speech_Male> know am I going to collect <Speech_Male> payment from this <Speech_Male> client or <Speech_Male> you know. <Speech_Male> How am I <Speech_Male> going to get this equipment <Speech_Male> shipped across the country <Speech_Male> to this shoot <Speech_Male> and or <Speech_Male> whatever else I mean? <Silence> I'm <SpeakerChange> certainly <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Sensitive <Speech_Male> to to those <Silence> kind of <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Hassles that <Speech_Male> Other photographers <Speech_Male> have to go to and <Speech_Male> I have a lot <Speech_Male> of friends <Speech_Male> in some of which are <Speech_Male> are <Speech_Male> I <Speech_Male> should just stop there. I've got a <Speech_Male> lot of friends. Actually I don't. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I'm not a <Speech_Male> lot of friends in the <Speech_Male> they industry <Speech_Male> that that do <Speech_Male> you know. They're <Speech_Male> not only <Speech_Male> are they. They're <Speech_Male> the photographer <Speech_Male> for the business. <Speech_Male> But they're often <Speech_Male> times also <Speech_Male> the accountant <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> in marketing person <Speech_Male> for their business <Speech_Male> and and that's <Speech_Male> tough that that that <Speech_Male> is tough and it's it's <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> tougher <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> more so <Speech_Male> now and I <Speech_Male> think going into the future. <Speech_Male> It's going to be tough so <Speech_Male> Being <Speech_Male> able to focus primarily <Speech_Male> just on <Speech_Male> logistics <Speech_Male> of <Speech_Male> my own personal <Speech_Male> travel <Speech_Male> focusing on <Speech_Male> you know the creative <Speech_Male> aspects <Silence> of the shoot <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> You know I like having <Speech_Male> I like not <Speech_Male> having to worry about things <Speech_Male> outside of that <Speech_Male> It's it's <Speech_Male> nice to be able to <Speech_Male> sort of play the full-time <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> creative <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> So yeah that's <Speech_Male> that's <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> you know as a great <Speech_Male> company to work for <Speech_Male> I've been with them <Silence> for <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> over twenty <Speech_Male> five years now <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> You know it's it's <Speech_Male> a dynamic industry <Speech_Male> to work in <Speech_Male> Aviation's <Speech_Male> always <Speech_Male> you know we're seeing <Speech_Male> things like <Speech_Male> You know. Electric <Speech_Male> based aircraft. <Speech_Male> Come into play. <Speech_Male> Drones <Speech_Male> obviously are <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> becoming more and more <Speech_Male> a part <Speech_Male> of the aviation <Speech_Male> environment. <Speech_Male> And <Speech_Male> you know things <Speech_Male> are always developing. <Speech_Male> It's it's a really dynamic <Speech_Male> industry to work in. <Speech_Male> So I'm I'm <Speech_Male> feel very blessed <Speech_Male> I've gotten to spend <Speech_Male> the majority of <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> my career <Silence> <Advertisement> In <SpeakerChange> it <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> that <Speech_Male> is wonderful again <Speech_Male> for everybody. <Speech_Male> The instagram account <Speech_Male> is clouds and camera <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> Chris. "It definitely it affected me a little bit. You know it made me think a little bit more about you know my own safety protocol and in who I worked with because Tragic can happen so quickly. You know. It's it before you before you have a chance to analyze why it's happening or why it shouldn't have happened. It's over and so you always have to be really careful about who work with and and making sure that everyone's confidence and qualified to take part in air. It's it's just it's not inherently dangerous but it is something that requires a great deal of specialized skill. So that is a touching moving story on a lighter. Note the favourite place. You've ever been favourite place. Oh man photographer. That one's I. I am so fortunate to to be able to travel to so many great areas in the air which is even better but I would have to say probably my favorite place to shoot was New Zealand. I get a chance to go there a couple years ago The international aviation organisations meeting happened to be down there so We spent Ten days flying and shooting Several stories down in New Zealand and while I from an environmental standpoint it is just. I don't think that any photographer could create a more perfect environment than the New Zealand. It's just it's got mountains. It's got beaches. It's God's Voice Kino's and you know every type of texture environment color that you could ever imagine so for for us even doing like a forty five minute or an hour long flight You can get into like five. Six seven distinctive very distinctive backgrounds of that. Look like you know you know one minute. You're over something that looks like desert and the next minute you're flying over snowcapped mountains or or white sandy beaches. It's really really an amazing place to take photos. That sounds fantastic. Yeah and there's you know there's a lot of replaces even here in the United States. I mean Moab. Utah is one of my favorite You know even up into Like the northern parts of the eastern United States Maine All throughout New England is beautiful. Florida is a place that we shoot all the time So yeah there's there's a lot of really interesting places will very cool. I have one last question but before we get there. I did want to mention listeners. That WanNa look up your work. Your instagram account is clouds and camera. All one word. No underlines cloud clouds plural clouds end camera but there is not a website if you google. Chris rose photography. You wind up looking at the work of a UK photographer. Who is not you?.

"Indeed I wanna get to other stories in just a second but tell me from a technical standpoint And I don't WanNA spend the too much time on this but things like filters or shutter speed for propeller and I mean what what are some of the basics of airplane in air air to ground air to air photography right Well so from from a standpoint. I'll just say that. I do use circular polarized on my lenses especially during aired. Air shoots almost all the time because you know aircraft are very reflective surfaces. Even if they're painted a hopefully they're clean and do reflect a lot of light. So polarized help without a little bit They also help you know. Sharpen hazy backgrounds and things like that. I use a combination of filters but I I really like helium. Pan and Bmw filters they seem to Work the best for me. I lose filters occasionally Out of the airplane doesn't happen a lot but so those need to be replaced from time to time. But yeah so. I'm always using a filter as far as shutter speeds and things like that go I'm trying to shoot at the lowest I can get away with But as far shutter speeds the the key shutter speeds when shooting air photography especially if it's a prop aircraft is that you need to slow the shutter speed down enough so that the prop so that any one blade of the PROB can make can make a you know if it's two bladed prop. Each blade has to travel one hundred and eighty degrees to get that full circle. You know that big prop disc that big lighted prop disc on the front of the aircraft. That people like to see you. Don't you don't WanNa see the prop stopped and you try to avoid any big gaps in that in that prop arc So to do that. You've got to slow the shutdown enough now. Obviously if you have a two bladed prop you have to slow the shudder down even more if you have a four bladed prop you don't have to slow it down as much because each each blade only has to make a ninety degree. ARC I it gets a little technical but the ideas. Keep the shutter speed as slow as possible while still maintaining sharp photos and And we do that through a couple of means obviously a little bit of it's trial and error Trying to keep yourself as.

"This one shot Really started months prior to the day that we actually took it We we were sitting around in a meeting discussing upcoming features for the magazine and Somewhat I can't exactly remember it may be may have been me. I said would. Wouldn't it be funny to do a shot of an eclipse jet? Which is There is a small business jet called an eclipse jet. As wouldn't it be kind of quirky to a shot of the a clips jet during the eclipse and this gave way to a discussion about? How could we talk about the eclipse which was obviously coming up in a few months and it really kind of blossomed into an idea that we would send photographers in editors across the country? And sort of take an inside. Look at how general aviation was Being either being affected or contributing to people's enjoyment of watching the eclipse so I ended up going to Carbondale Illinois sort of a strange out of the way place but carbondale happened to be the area that the peak of the eclipse would be the longest and I think it was something like two or three minutes that it would be in full clips So we based out of Carbondale We brought out all the aircraft that we needed including the eclipse jet During the eclipse it would get dark and I was thinking to myself you know. How am I going to? I can't slow shutter speed down enough to capture this jet in the dark Because then that gives way obviously to break issues and things like that so I devised this The scheme to SORTA hard wire in a couple of mono lights into the aircraft and so I had to five. Hundred Watt West. Got Monitor lights in the back of the aircraft. Were the ones that I carry it with me now but there were sort of an older set and I thought you know if I could if I could fire this thing at the right moment with everything lined up. We just might be able to illuminate that jet enough And still keep the eclipse in the background. So there was no obviously. There was no chance for trial and error here. We were just GonNa have to put our best foot forward and hope that everything came together so we launched at a Carbondale For the eclipse probably a half an hour were so before and we got into position. We got the eclipse jet into formation with us and we were. We were fairly close. I mean we were probably You know fifteen or twenty feet from each other. Going one hundred and fifty knots in a circle as the clips was happening in the whole you know the lighting especially up there where you have even less atmosphere. I'm not that not that. We were really high but you know we didn't. We weren't subject to some of the the haze and stuff below and it really gave an incredibly eerie feel Yeah you could feel sort of the pressure difference. You could feel the lighting starting to change and.

"About just about anything with this guy Chris rose joining us on the show tonight Chris what's so what's going on man how you doing nothing and everything older baseball football so how are you great I mean let's start with the baseball fan I have maybe some off the beaten path thoughts about this that I want to talk with you but first let me just get your your general reaction and I I really kind of dig what you were doing on social media was was just kind of opening up a form to Astros fans and letting them come to you know get it off their chest whether be good bad or otherwise what would you sort of find their well it you know it kind of put it in perspective let's remember that was the first World Series championship in twenty seventeen the Astros you know have been around for fifty plus years and it was coming in the wake of it is you know a natural disaster with the hurricane and the back and then so we we tend to kind of forget how much it meant to that community and to those lifelong fans and so you you certainly can't blame the fans for anything that they're feeling some of them were saying that you know those memories can never get taken away from me I've been so much to me and my family including family members were no longer around but at the same time someone said that if you know what I kind of feel crappy inside because this is the way it it it role some of them said I don't give a damn yelp we got a ring in fact ours forever and you know I mean who am I to sit here and judge I mean I wouldn't feel that way your you know you know me I'm a Cleveland fan if it came out somehow that the K. as in twenty sixteen it cheated and that all known yeah they'd still hold that championship but I'd look at it in a different light well Chris it's totally did see them in your member the dream on green suspension I may not apply to do so so yeah we talk about that if you want the cavs made all of those because you know I mean I you somebody if robin green are such good friends we thought that the remote for saying Hey we wanted to do this and you know will play out like a wrestling match you can get suspended you'll still have two more games after that no words whatever we've honors the major a major conspiracy theory here this good no thank you I I exactly no I you know here's the thing about it it's it's sort of hard for me because I think in general I agree with you I agree with how that would not necessarily feel right for instance I think there's there Francisco fans many of whom won't necessarily voice this but they're San Francisco fans were happy that when the giants finally broke through Barry Bonds wasn't on the team anymore that that kind of thing in the feels a little bit clearer the other side of this though is Chris I am having the hardest time believing that the teams the Astros in red Sox beat aren't doing this till okay I mean it you know it there's one report out there that says there's another eighteens beside the Boston in Houston that they've been doing something over the last few years that's possible if so let's have an investigation I can't sit here and say well course everybody was doing it and that I don't like hearing that I mean like that's I mean it's like a bad way to parent like if your kids as well everybody else is doing it well I only care about you I got I I only care about you and I get the facts on you so I can only deal and make judgments on situations where I have the facts you know the the rest of it I mean do we know that the Toronto Blue Jays were doing it do we know if the Colorado Rockies like I don't know I don't know so to me it's ridiculous to sit here and make accusations assumptions we just don't know well no that's that's totally fair is interesting you put it that way in terms of parenting I said the exact same thing with the exact same example last night on on the show to talk about if you know your kid brings home a grade that you don't like it is as well everybody struggled on that as a no no we're we're talking about you so I agree with you it doesn't excuse anything I guess my question just as a fan is when I'm sitting here watching sports am I to believe that one team knows what pitches are coming the other team doesn't and they play close games and have the same record and go seven games like that that just doesn't seem possible so it's not excusing the Astros it's the first thing you said it's I I'd like to see this go further well it may I mean it it all depends on who talks in you know let's remember he it only came to the forefront because of the column in the athletic by Ken Rosenthal L. Evans relegated because the former astro in Mike Fiers went on the record and that's how this sort of stuff happens so if there are any former I don't wanna say disgruntled former employees but you know if you go back and look Mike buyers with laptop the twenty seventeen playoff roster he was non tendered by Houston he went to Detroit and at Oakland since then and he said he did this is a warning to his younger teammate that every time you going to Houston you have to protect yourself or if you're gonna get smacked around because I know first hand they are cheating and then he decided to come to the forefront with it Chris Rawls joining us on these boards later what what's the big picture crest what is what what is the fall out here for baseball well Paul it is first of all to me it's terribly sad and I actually said that earlier today on Twitter right after outscoring the red Sox decided to mutually part ways in part because those were two guys who I enjoyed having conversations with I thought they were excellent managers I thought that they were always open and honest with us and now we're getting a different side of the story so it's terribly sad now I ask with forty filling in for Kevin Millar this weekend international talk as to clip if your manager who's got some cachet in this game let's say a Francona god it's been successful and seemingly has the respect of his clubhouse in spring training would you expect him to have a meeting with this team it says listing I if you were stacked the game yourselves and me and what the front office to do in here stop the B. acts if there's anything that's going on here that could put ours our team and me in jeopardy are you want to think about it shop every day it was like that's what's gonna happen in thirty club houses were either gonna have to be Terry Francona it could be a rookie manager and so you know that the you need to do that and I do think that this will act this punishment that was dished out by the commissioner yesterday is going to be a huge deterrent moving forward now some people say well Chris the players are still good at you because they didn't get popped yesterday if the we are shipped takes a back pack that I just discussed I guarantee if those players have any sort of respect for the people they're working with and for it will stop yeah I I mean I don't agree with you there I mean you look at AJ Hanson Alex Cora these guys were at the top of the sport yeah they're not old and and so we're we're sitting here now wondering what what happens next and what happens forever do you do you think that they get back in at some point so it's the staff is still really raw Mike got feeling I think that if those two guys Cora in here get out in front of this and I'm not talking about just putting out an initial statement that's what they need to do they have to kind of figure out where they go from here but I have a sit down interview with sports is version of Oprah you know and fall on the sword and admit their wrong doings we are a forgiving society those guys are uber talented with what they do they are very very good managers you mentioned how young they are they're both in their forties they're both former like marginal players they can identify with superstars and also the twenty fifth guy on the roster so that sort of leadership would be covered it but they have to be willing to say I'm not point any fingers except in their own direction I would lose out he's a different now I only know him by his shaking hands with him a couple times that I've seen him during the World Series routes of a reviews three seasons of Houston I think he's gonna have a proper time I lost all respect for him we traded for a word or stood out last year I mean that really kind of showed us all exactly what he is built in his organization when it all cost I don't give a damn I'll make sure that I'm gonna go buy low on a guy but he's being suspended seventy five games for violating the league's domestic violence issue there and then it could not handle things of the World Series with his assistant GM brainpop where he let AJ Hinch flap in the wind and have to be the first base to talk about this hours before the first pitch of game one of the World Series yeah he should have been the one in front of that he should have been up there with with ownership and with the team president not AJ Hinch discussing that took back there in my opinion the lack of leadership can you build a baseball team become one hundred games and a World Series absolutely what I hire me the leader of people No Way yeah amen to that by the way who is sports brought it is that you could that be you well that definitely not in the wallet nor the talent but in that case let me try this out it was I mean right because I could be you know to spend tunes actually this particular you yeah this is bad today hi Chris roses with us I don't want you to get out of here without talking a little football yourself with the on on the forty Niners and doctors in particular has been an absolute blast what what did you gathered from him with regard to this game what what pops out with this match up the second time around so I think it's going to take Green Bay to play its best game of the year to win I really believe that I mean I watched that Sunday night game in week twelve very closely and that was a dispatch from go the open the first driver Rodgers was sacked inside is ten and coughed up the ball and if you know it was pretty much over you could change the channel after that.

try this out it was right thank you be you handy on suspensions actually in this particular you'll get a suspension this is bad hi Chris roses with us I don't want you to get out of here without talking a little football your stuff with the on on the forty Niners and doctors in particular has been an absolute blast what what did you gathered from him with regard to this game what what pops out with this match up the second time around I think it's gonna take Green Bay to play its best game of the year to win I really believe that I mean I watched that Sunday night game in week twelve very closely and that was a dispatch from go you know from the first driver Rodgers was sacked inside and then coughed up the ball and if you know it was pretty much over you could change the channel after that and it was probably also the high point of the year for San Francisco in terms of its most complete game to get that solid solid team you know the thing is is that what we saw Sunday night with Aaron Rodgers against Seattle you still have the ability to win games and he used to throw the last ride the the thirty two yarder that he had to Adams and then the lady Jimmy Graham I'm third night just show you that will if they're close that that's not the if you're not interested and it's not the guy you want to be great right you know so but given that I understand I feel really count but it is they're playing great I thought I thought that date sharing and call the great game the other day run it almost fifty times yeah only only allowing grapple to throw it nineteen I perfect and what the defense do the rest because the on board returning made such a huge difference for them they look healthy up front and and arrested after that bye week after having a grueling five week stretch work every game was coming down to the seemingly the last thirty seconds I expect big things for for the Niners on Sunday Chris big week great to have you appreciated so much before you run you ready for the big finish let's do it let's roll Chris rose on the big finish these these wars leader here's Marc okay Chris two categories you pick one you want to.
