Life's too short to spirits. Don't go negative gold. If you're going if you're going negative on everything re examine yourself, because you're you're starting to sound like you're way over on the left. Well, I was gonna say that, but you know what? The other thing I want to say to the media. And I try to keep an open mind and this different channels, But I want to encourage those who are willing to do so. I think I must not call these companies that support some of these stations that out. White lie. They are lying to the American public. And unfortunately, people don't challenge themselves to critically think And so, look, I'm gonna trip figure out two people are too lazy Start big wallet. We'll get 2. November third a moment. How did Gretchen Whitmer just win reelection? She. She has won the vote of the people who are standing up for for righteousness and goodness and wholesomeness and not putting up with this garbage from those J's. Okay. They should lock those guys up 10 years ago that were down there and lead away County. I watched on TV. Watch a goose and these guys are a bunch of goofs. These men are ignorant. They're full of hate, and they are violent and they need to be locked up. And yes, the Legislature should be warned about it. Okay. Everybody in Lansing should've been warned about it and all the government building because I used to deliver to the government buildings around the capital. I had a job I delivered to them. And up in Grand Rapids, and they should have been worn to that is true. Somebody was not taking care of them because they could have went into those melons and hostage them too. Okay? Not everybody's perfect. Alright, so to stay positive here because everybody on the left is all the press and sad they Oh, no, We're not Guess what? We're going to be partying till four in the morning Come November. Okay, Because Joe Biden is going to win. OK, he's gonna win. Big time family man going, Dan. I just got one question. Were you planning the same sort of celebration back on November 8th four years ago. I was hoping I was hoping, but I kind of thought that Hillary, let's put it this way. Ms. Clinton was no angel. Okay. She had her skeleton's nose like old bail. Okay, That is that is the given. OK? Maybe we picked the wrong candidate for that time, because I think if it would have been, AH, body will have been talking about re electing him. Okay, but his son died three months pride so you can't run for president and still be in mourning. Okay, so no, I won't it for Hillary, as the thing goes lesser of two evils, as they always say, Okay. I wasn't exactly crazy about her, and I consider When you're talking about evil. When you're talking about evil, I consider her much more evil than Joe Biden. Well, that's your opinion. She's not evil. She had her little skeletons. May I have silicon like John James? He started out his first commercial, saying, Terry. Peter's like. That's Why They all live even Obama, like while he was in there now voted for him twice. Okay. All right. All right. Clinton light, Papa Bush, like even willing in life, and I appreciate it. I gotta run, pal. Thank you So much for the for the call. It was It's enlightening. All of our calls. The Filmmakers Dilemma Dark Skin Tones

"April of little some interesting or different today for the this week in photo discussion among with my friend. Chris Fenwick If you have anything to do with final cut pro, you know this guy he he's one of those people that knows final cut pro and editing in general from the inside out backwards and forwards and all that and he's We'll get into that but Chris reached out to me a couple of the about a week or so ago and pose a really interesting question us. He said, you know what? How do you? How do you color ballots for darker skin tones? He was having problems with that and this was this was on the heels of the whole Simone biles controversy with Anti Liebowitz and. All that back and forth of they should hired a black photographer to shoot her or should the photographer shot heard? No or Annie's people? Should they have known how to process and color correct for blacks hint so anyway. So we decided to jump on and have this conversation just talk like you know two people that like this stuff and see if there's a solution or maybe there is no. Solution but Chris, which is these elite editor Ed slice editorial and I'll put the links to all of his stuff in the show notes and the the description for this episode on Youtube but follow him over there. But check out this discussion is pretty. It's pretty interesting. We'll be pretty interesting from the standpoint of just what's wet in the in the real world of color correcting for other humans. We go. Here we go starting to. All right. Chris. Renwick. Welcome to this week in photo man how you doing. Mr Johnson I'm doing well. Yes it's good. The I'm doing really good. You know what we were talking before we started recording. and. I got I. got a page just from chatting just. Before recording. Yeah Yeah where you do your hands. Okay. But always you know you're you're a wealth of information. You're humble about it. Obviously, which is why you get invited to speak at conferences and all this other stuff, and you'd probably have more work than you can deal with. But let's I want to segue into that stuff that that I talked about in the teas color balancing for darker skin tones, Black People Brown people, etc. But before we do that, tell us a little bit about Chris Renwick in slice editorial. In the world and how are you helping keep spinning? I don't think I help keep spinning all. Right. Now. That's that's that's frightening I I'm an editor and I tell people this all the time and they say Fascinating. What are you edit? I added a bunch of stuff you'd never want to watch. It's it's not that it's not that exciting. In the corporate communications corporate branding space. There is tons of work to do most people realize that whether it's photography or video or editorial like I do But frankly most of the stuff I work on, you'd Never WanNa Watch. It's not that exciting. It's a matter of fact I think the people that I make it for you know they're struggling to get their employees to had chip you know but but but the bottom line is it's a living and I've always said that to satisfy your own creative you know thing that you have to do. You're better off. I mean it's good that I don't rely on my job to do that and I'll. I'll tell you. That if you. If you try to be, you know to exude your best you know a Steven Spielberg George. Lucas. When you're doing my job, you're going to be a pain. Because you're GonNa have all these great ideas. I'm not saying the not good ideas, but they're not right for the project that you're working. And so You're better off. You're always better off serving the project and. Most of the stuff that I do, it's ahead he's talking and might be a graphic over shoulder that. Explains what he's talking about but I don't need seven different angles in tight close ups intention like no I don't need that and so if you WanNa do that you should totally do that. But doing on something you're producing and not that you're trying to get paid for. And It's it's just kind of a pet peeve of mine. You know you just keep keep your creative thing to to wear. It's a being asked for and I turned stuff out. That's what we do. It's not not really exciting but like I said, raise the Bill Corp video pays the bills you know keeps keeps keeps the Earth Spin and keeps spinning right there. That's absolutely absolutely and I'll tell you three a four days after Governor Newsom shut down the state of California were based. we were in production. and. We were in production because. On I kind of reminded everybody that we work with especially in the office that our core competency. is to. Help people disseminate information. That's what we do. We help people communicate, and even during a pandemic people have to communicate, and so we came up with some workflow ways to do that and I've talked about that on other shows maybe to talk about it here but it's not what we really came to talk about. But but we were I was working on Tuesday. I delivered my first client video before the week was up

"Now sitting in for Frank Beckmann. Here's Chris Renwick. You know, Tim from no by, I think here on the text line. I think he hit on the head. I get a nail right on the head. If you see something, say something on Lee applies If cops are doing something wrong to other people that direction only That's what Michelle Obama meant him from. Nova Bank is exactly right. Unfortunately, that's not how it works. Can't have your cake and eat it too. That is that is disingenuous. You go to the grocery store and steal, steal something? You're going to report it. But the grocery store stealing from you, it's no big deal. Come on. Crazy. What we're seeing now across the country is violent protests that have Escalated. To violence. Whether that is from protesters themselves, which I don't really believe in there, People who are protesting our protest ng on then, for whatever reason, whether it be outside, you know, sources or I mean, I don't know what it is, but it turns violent in a lot of places. How do you just look away? How do you How do you just look away? That's what I don't understand. 808 590957. Meanwhile, there's this California district attorney is requiring her prosecutors requiring her prosecutors To consider looters quote needs. When Wayne criminal charges against them. The new mandate set forth by Contra Costa County District Attorney Diane Beckton makes it tough to prosecute looting cases in the county. What shits just outside of San Francisco. Investigators must now consider quote was this theft defense substantially motivated by the state of emergency or simply a theft offense, which occurred contemporaneously. To the declared state of emergency. In making that determination. They must also consider five other factors, including Was the theft committed for financial gain or personal need. New policy comes amid the swell of protests, looting and writes in the wake of police involved shootings. Against black people across the country. Vechten is a 22 year judge in Contra Costa County who was elected D a in 2017 and was the first female an African American to serve as the county's chief law enforcement officer. A new policy Two strong rebukes from Antioch Mayor Shawn right. And the president of the Antioch Police Union. When I read the policy, it was disturbing. Right said I understand the difference between pro testing and looting. Peaceful protest. Ng is okay looting. Is not So that's there for you as well. 808 590957 808 590 w j r the number for you to collar Texas morning here on the frank back in show, why don't we go out to Soo in are made a good morning, Sue. Hi there, Chris. Right? What can I do for pans? This calling about Caller that called a while ago about Trump talking about voting twice. In any way. First of all, it's a shame how they're doing things. As far as just this mass mailing, and that's where the problem comes in. Because you know it used to be. If you wanted to vote absentee. You had to put the effort forthe too. You know, requests that ballot, So you know that, you know, And you know what your science of some people didn't want to vote other. You know, some did. Some didn't But now like I work at the voting booth and election days, and so if some people get their absence, he ballot and then they decide to come to The vote. You know to the precinct when they When you scanned their driver's license, it automatically come up that they have received a absence. He bailiff. And so at that point, they either have to surrender that ballot. Go home and get it. Bring it back. Or they have to sign an affidavit stating that they have not already you know, voted with that ballad, which then could be a felony. So now with all this Mass mailing like for instance, I got absentee applications for my mom who's been gone now for Two years. From a place where she doesn't even live anymore and You know, this is where the problem is. Goingto be like you know a lot by it. So you know, they should have just left well enough alone and let the election run like they always have run all these years instead of this mass mailing. Right? I appreciate the thought, Sue. Thank you very much. 808 5957 808 590. W. J. R. It's gonna David Rochester. Good morning, Dave. Ah! Following up on Rich Snyder. Republican voting for bite, and I, too, am a lifelong Republican, or sits in their lifelong Republican. Voting for bite and then in addition, To the editorial or opinion piece. That Ah Tonight, our recently wrote, I would also add to what Rana Romney was talking about tax cuts. Perfect. A perfect example. Why Republicans are like me are fed up with the current Republican Party. 2017 That Scott was ah. Moronic, idiotic imbecilic tax cut. It just created more debt. Virtually nothing for the economy, and it was pretty well like the last 19 years where Republican policy A new public and since the Republican trifecta beginning January. 2000 George W. Bush virtually dominated these last 19 years, all but the last four years of Obama's administration where we actually did. Raise revenues and.

"W. J. R Now sitting in for Frank Beckmann. Here's Chris Renwick. It's got a Georgian Detroit. Good morning, George. Uh, I don't want to talk about the Blake shooting. And even if time the Freddy are the next great George Floyd Of shooting also, but I want to run this by its time for update. I'm not gonna go in all the numbers about Sweden. Right? Sweden ever start following this was number six that was laid in April. All right? Then they passed by France. Every number five. Then they drop back to number six now. Their number eight All right, the last three days they're approaching. Nobody said this. Officially they seem to be approaching her. The immunity. They never shut down the last three days. So many deaths. They've had one death. They were closing in on us during of July. They were they were like 1000 deaths. You know less than us, And then they were down to about 600 now and back up to 1000 less death and cases they went from about 20,000 cases behind us. And they were catching up to about 5000 cases. Now there are over 20,000 cases gets all this, you know, patting ourselves for the governor. You know, we gotta shut down the master with his nonsense. Sweet. Never shut down in there like that Herd immunity now where we could have been. And like I said, the United States is number nine for per capita in the world. Suite Number eight were only like seven behind by the weekend. We'll be ahead of them. They'll be number now. So anyways, I just wanted to throw that out there for one, but just aren't getting the facts. Maybe, you know, I just tuned in at about 11 and called in Maybe some of this has come up on the Jake with Blake shooting, but they're getting the facts, right? You keep hearing He was shot seven times in the back. Actually, No. Seven shots were fired in a police officer with a semiautomatic isn't coming shots necessarily. They're probably squeezing and Trying to eliminate the threat. Alright, so well. He was hit four times in the back, which is which is bad. All right, you know, and he's going to be paralyzed is going to sound like survived. But there was a struggle. He was tased twice. Is what the information is his coming out. He was rattling with the police fighting with them. They couldn't subdue him. He went around of, uh, driver's side reached in the car, this guy and they knew they were serving an open warrant. All right, And he had admitted to having a knife and he was seen with a night So he was reaching in there. And you know, East pulls a gun on people before this was open, sexual assault the world they were serving. All right. So what's your point, George? So much of this isn't getting out there. Chris is my point that you're shot seven times in the back. And you know the whole beyond I'm saying is a lie. It's It's based on stuff. Just like with George Floyd. Now, don't If you heard the information on that he did not die. He was he was saying, I can't breathe when he was standing up when he was sitting in the car. They're saying he died from Ah, fentanyl in methamphetamine. That's why he couldn't breathe. They said There was no bruising on his trachea. All right now that guy kneeling on his side of his head for, you know Minutes show Vin or whatever That was wrong, But at this point he can't meet. Nobody can know racism and any of this or premeditation and well thing is George. I think with all of this, The more of the story is, we need to make sure that we allow The information to come out, right? So I think I think aside from jumping to any sort of conclusions with any case anywhere about anything That that we have to make sure that we allow the information to come out before we react to something, and I appreciate the call, but it's some point. At some point. We have to allow the information to come out. We have to allow the investigations to play through. And then We can. Then we can. We can talk about it. Then we can start somewhere. But until then, we're not going to get anywhere with this. I appreciate the call George. Thank you. 808 590957 808 590 Double D. J. Let's go. Marty and Shelby Township. Good morning, Marty. "And our cohort Chris Renwick is operating from home and I could ask you this you you may know all SDK for later to do you know what we're coming up on the tenth year anniversary for a June second man I knocked on my head okay you're gonna love this it was the perfect game that wasn't by Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga all yes second yes yes years since he threw a perfect game against the Indians were up prior Jim joins blew the call of the last out at first base a ground ball but Jason that'll to Miguel Cabrera he came off the first base bag filter through to Colorado he caught the ball clearly stepped on the base before Donald got there but Jim Joyce immediately flash those arms out to safe and immediately after the game he said sorry I blew it he was out of reach he really had the no hitter perfect gamers like well thanks a lot but it doesn't go on the record books that way right and not only that but Frank it was the most perfect game of all time right because not only did the record twenty second so I can test I always have contested that it should be changed and that should be a perfect game in the box Colorado has just told the Atlantic the athletic upside the athletic that he wants Major League Baseball now to officially note that he threw a perfect game which is why not why wait for so long I don't want to die and then they're like you know what he threw a perfect game who's asking Major League Baseball to acknowledge his perfect game in the record books would not be something that he finally got that credit I eat it it would be awesome I I am hesitant to believe that they will do that only because if you remember it was like the next week or maybe even before that it was I don't remember who bought it but he received like a brand new like I don't know if it was if it was a that core battery was some really awesome car that he received a real shortly after that that game and I just remember thinking like what he's an athlete he makes good money if you could buy that car if you really wanted he can't you got to put him in the record books first this is there's only one twenty three people or something ever to have done it exactly.

"Frank Beckman show news talk seven sixteen WJAR now in for Frank here's Chris Renwick are they know you guys have been hanging on and I appreciate a lot of stuff to get you a lot of information to get you and now it's your turn eight hundred eight five nine zero nine five seven eight hundred eight five nine zero W. J. R. well it's very simple I just question what the governor is doing I've heard her say multiple times of what we're doing is is making a difference it's working we are keeping people safe we're saving lives then why are we re opening anything if the number one goal in her mind is to save lives that like I we've heard multiple times if that's the goal the more we don't they don't open anything back up don't allow the big three get back to work you A. W. don't allow restaurants to open up don't allow mom and pops to open up go ahead and and and and a block off seeds and whatever don't go anywhere that you're not supposed to go only if it's essential travel go to the grocery store the three W's wait Washington where I mean why input but that's not the case because we're starting to be able to open things up somewhat open things up you heard the doctor Rosalie Toko Bramley therefore Trinity just couple minutes ago we are probably going to see an uptick in cases when things start to open back up it's just the way it is we don't have a backseat we don't have medicine that when you get it will will you read this thing from your body one hundred percent effective yet we don't have it yet we've seen glimpses of of drugs that would work that can work in some patients but we don't have anything solid yet show them don't don't yes you are probably safer if you stay at home you won't get sick you won't get into a car accident you won't slip and fall you want all of those things are true but my question is is we save the hospital systems rightfully so we've got PP now let's get this thing going let's get done does not open up here he's got the we've got to take care of his family's gone ploy he's so I I think there are a lot of things that I don't know if it's necessarily she's not thinking of or people aren't telling her because she's got people that they're getting this information receive what what is what is the information I haven't seen eight hundred eight five nine zero nine five seven eight hundred eight five nine zero W. J. R. let's go to the phones and let's go to and I just lost a dear Jenny itself feel good morning Jenny good morning I have remarked W's border where have all the time why well I mean I'm naturally is that the P. and then date and when you're no longer there my perfect well it's interesting I I it it kind of feels that way doesn't it that that she's trying for something a little bigger which if that's your aspiration god bless I'm not gonna tell you you can't do that that's fine if that's something you want to chase but it I think you have to mmhm I I I I think you have to be careful little bit because if that's where you're going and it doesn't work out the way you want it to what where are you going to be I mean I well look I think a lot of people are upset with her third the faction of people who didn't even vote for in the first place so they're already going to be against her but I think there are people of Europe if you're a Democrat restaurant owner I understand I look keeping people safe it should be a very I mean you're talking ballpoint priority but at some point you have to go okay but how will I pay my bills how my gonna how how do I how do I navigate this that's the problem is at some point you have to move on from from saving people to saving the state saving the economy you have you have to look at what the journey I think it's a good point my issue with the three W's it's it's still very childish what what's more shapes next square circle triangle we know wash your hands stay away from people were mascot it we we all we we we cross that bridge so what's next eight hundred eight five nine zero nine five seven Greg and shall be good morning good morning Christopher Mister positive you're doing a solid job Hey real quick there policy can I spread some positivity before due to my point real quick I got a lot to get to get right to it what do you got your points warriors take hold of that vision that comes from above but temper your destiny with peace truth and love real quick number one because we're at home and stay warm in systems being compromised number three basically what I want people to understand is they've got to see both sides yes people have to get back to work yes people will die if people go to work and bring it home to the elderly that's all I'm saying Chris just see both sides and articulate both sides with the empathy but you understand both sides and I think everything I want everyone to get back to work I love when you see I think well I don't people that are going to be impacted by past just just right now I mean look this state has been in such a disarray for years okay free on years and years this state was at the bottom of the barrel okay then what we saw some growth we saw businesses coming here we saw the economy grow Detroit has has come leaps and bounds from where it was and and and now I will look everybody's going to be impacted by this across the country there's no doubt everybody's gonna be running a deficit everybody's going to be needing more money I get it but when you can help people out when you can see this when you can start to open things up you should I'm not saying walk in here here's a here's a good example okay what I'm talking about and Greg I appreciate the call thank you but a good example of of what I'm trying to to convey to you is that if you are a restaurant owner okay and you've got employees and your employees have a a kid or family and they can't take their child or children to day care because they're not open okay then you don't come into work we're gonna open up and maybe we throw yeah couple box maybe whatever but you we understand that you have to take care of your family but we're gonna open up because we got to get going we had a we had other employees I got family I mean there are just it's it's a it's a chain reaction and and if like the governor says we need to dial back we'll dial it back if we need to but until we get to that step six the G. highlighted yesterday step six being a vaccine and she said we're not even close to that yet so if we're not even close to that yet when do we start with Jim only opening things up that's my question and if you were a a a a line worker at at Chrysler if you worked in line at fort are you worried about going back because that's also legitimate that also needs to be considered but at some point we can't just keep kicking the can down the road this will take I mean I walk on the economist this could take years to overcome so when we can open things up wax let's go to Tom in delta good morning Thomas good morning Chris how are you today I'm good what you got for me real quick ought to comment I understand lawsuits but why not a recall drive against this not that we have and have the legislature ever done a recall petition against the governor at my last comment Krista Conrad Weber reminds me of a Washington representative Adam Schiff for brains he will soon be getting what he deserves but and I certainly hope comrade what murder gets what she deserves all right all right Tom I appreciate it thank.

J. are now working for Frank here's Chris Renwick all right as we continue to talk about Kobe nineteen of course the the home for the the the Clore Quinn and the Z. packed combination and whether or not those are drugs that are going to be acceptable and and would actually help somebody who has the covert nineteen virus here in Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer is threatening to to take away a medical license for prescribing those medications now word comes that we are maybe by two more months away from seeing results from a coal with nineteen vaccine the experimental vaccine for the corona virus was developed by Madura incorporated and was toast in the first patient earlier this month and we could be seeing the results of that in about two months this is from a story out of Bloomberg the first data in the near term for the initial dosing and analysts wrote could be coming early stages started on March sixteenth the trial was forty five healthy people it was being conducted by the national institutes of health National Institute of allergy and infectious diseases with the patients in the study getting two doses of the vaccine twenty eight days apart so hopefully the news from that will be good in the meantime we will await more drug trials of the of the hydrochloric Quinn and Z. pak combination whether or not those are our sustainable drugs New York is is is leading the way and that and and they're gonna try to make sure that they may be the the the the flag carrier in that so we'll have more to see what happens in New York because governor Cuomo there it isn't taking the same approach that governor Whitmore is your mission one pick up phone calls it's gonna Brian in Sinclair shores good morning Brian Brian can you hear me Hey Brian yep yeah okay good sorry about what was going on but in India at any rate yeah it's funny you mention governor Whitman the second said Wade right into what I am going to talk about I'm not quite sure what the majestic are about the the ventilators but if you if you remember Bob president trump mentioned being nice to it's it's a two way street he said and basically you know you can play games liars didn't we we just put through a a a meat grinder of an impeachment trial on that about this quid pro quo type of stuff and that's basically what it should be just above what it what it is what he said you know you treat as well will you do it for us would do something for you listen we can't have that kind of garbage going on right now and I'm no I'm no Democrat and I'm no Republican so I don't get into this part is them as far as I'm concerned they're all in the same old murky swampland they also in the same dirty water but I can and I am I I'm totally with you because for me I I don't I don't care who's doing what I don't care who's saying what about who I don't want the bottles from anybody I just want why say them to focus on on on getting us to a place where we work two months exactly exactly less less less best aptitude for tax and let's all be adults and Hey this is lives that that acts they not day by day but our by our I work at a hospital as a matter of fact but yeah all of our lives yeah lives are diminishing by the minute so you know we don't have a time frame can can I ask so can I ask what you do there well actually a building engineer bit engineer so I'm just so you're not you're you you kind of have a if you have a front row seat as to what's going on yeah is vital because now you're talking with with that you know you're talking ventilation through through the throughout the entire house but you know the air quality and things like that it's that we were going through some major changes as far as you know where to look already prepared and that kind of thing but these no I mean I watched the nurses and the doctors and come on the the the the guy as you I mean they're they're they're not even the unsung heroes we know that these guys and ladies they are the heroes you know but but but they they they are tax they are taxed and to the Max and we we we come on out from from the government to this they let this mess let's get this thing together and he was right and and and yeah I know that I got up with the tip with that so but that's it Hey you have a good day yes Sir you do the same my friend you do the same and stay safe out there okay thank you have a call preserved at eight hundred eight five nine zero nine five seven here on the Frank Beckman show we're gonna talk to a nurse from one of our area hospitals now she works as a nurse at an ER and that we're gonna talk to her about what kind of what she's seeing because look it's the reports that we that we get and that you get are not good about what's going on in our hospitals and you look at even locally Beaumont saying that they're almost a capacity they're short on supplies so I'm I'm interested to hear what are what are our and we'll have to say when I go to Detroit and Tom good morning tell me good morning Chris how are you you know what a good man what can I do for you you know in terms of this rush to Easter trump products is mine to this point this virus has not even shown a sign of starting to get to the point where speaking let alone going on the back side of the hill and sliding down and I mean it's obvious that you know this thing is walking around with people who have it but they don't know they have it that's why the issue to stay at home order and I'm waiting for him to sit there and I mean to me he is the clear and present danger he is the one that is legally dangerous to the people of this country our little wall art Tom Tom Tom Tom Tom what let me up let me let me put it to you like this okay I think that he's got and he's got a lot of people around him that are very good at what they do he's not experts that he trusts well I don't think that's the case I think he's absolutely it is there is a I don't know that it's too much to ask for a little optimism now do I believe that that really leads he says we're gonna open this thing back up for business by Easter I do not know I don't think that we're going to be even anywhere close to that but I I appreciate that there's a positive sentiment about it.

"Working for Frank here's Chris Renwick are welcome back into the break back when shown as we continue here not only on this program but across our whole station we continue to keep you informed as much as possible without causing panic and and certainly as it and we we move on with with covert nineteen and corona virus and we continue to learn more and more about what the heck this viruses and kind of the the things that make it taken and and what it's doing to to people here in in our region one of the things that have that K. continues to evolve is the symptoms that you show up early on leading up to to where I kind of the way this that were that virus really starts to ramp up in your body so and this silly of course and the three main symptoms continue to be fever cough shortness of breath those of the the the three pillars they should be looking for then it came out that said well there was maybe some sort of gastrointestinal you know if you if you got an upset stomach that could have also been assigned as well well now there's a new symptoms and help us talk about those as Dr Joel Fishbein infectious disease physician at Beaumont hospital Grosse Pointe good morning doctor how are you good thank you for the invite how are you I'm very good I am in the so these new symptoms that and perhaps we should be on the lookout for a sudden loss of smell and taste tell me more so it's interesting you know the more we see patients so more patients are going to present with unusual features so if you look at you know how to China they only had what about five or ten percent gastrointestinal symptoms but we're seeing quite a few patients reporting really profound diarrhea and many patients are talking about they just cannot eat it food tastes bad we haven't specifically asked about smell but you know taste and smell go hand in hand so these patients really don't want to have food they're not eating food they don't want even our food so it's kind of interesting how many of them really just this is thrown off their taste and probably their smell but these are also people who already have fevers they already have cough there eight years can be they may have diarrhea associated somehow vomiting so I still think before people panic and say oh I have an upset stomach I better go run to the E. R. the majority of the ones that we see all of the symptoms start after the fever the cough and the ache in so those three that the fever the cough in the shortness of breath those are the those who continue to be the ones to look out for in terms of if those the if you're seeing the symptoms those are when you can go get tested but in terms of some of these other things these are kind of setting in after the fact it appears that way and of course this is not science this is just my experience over the last week taking care of probably sixty to a hundred patients something someone godly number but I would say that that the most of the people they've had the other symptoms first and then the diarrhea and the other symptoms come on during the course M. and you brought up a point I really want to emphasize so when you say come in for screening we want to make sure people understand that with the drive through system that we have it's important you'll be assessed please don't come here thinking everybody's going to get stopped the other thing is and I'm trying to encourage people if you have any known positive exposure either a spouse a friend a kid in the home you don't need to be tested if you have a fever and a cough you got it to come in and get tested and and add you know resources to the testing really is not necessary you have it you should come be evaluated should you get short of breath we're not be able to eat or drink or maintain your you know your fluid status and by far most people can stay home and deal with the fevers and a cough with cough suppressant and Tylenol but if you know somebody who has it you were exposed and you get those symptoms you don't need to test you have it we don't have a lot of circulating flu right now there's really not much else going on in the community and I'm just telling people why getting a car and stand in line to get a swab when you're probably over ninety percent likely to have it if you have a known positive contact tell us in a tell me more about your experience with these patients what are they what are they going through what are the age ranges if you can tell us that and what just what are there what what's what's what's the the the the time line of this thing what are they going through well the the age ranges are all over the place we have many people who are staying home that we know whether their colleagues or spouses of people that were here so most of the people you can't stay at home and they're getting over it in usually three to seven days if they're getting admitted because they have risk factors for progressive disease or they need oxygen then they're going to be sitting here for a few days while we watch their oxygen and most of them recover and if you will progress usually we're sort of seeing somewhere between days six and nine people might need more oxygen or even ventilator support and and it's not really as predictable as it was in the reports early out of China it's forty and fifty year olds when you start talking about the new symptoms that start to pop up whether be loss of smell or taste or or the the the stomach issues that that people are also reporting early I guess maybe about a week ago few days ago it does that what does that indicate about this virus is it something that is ever evolving because we really have never seen this this type of strain of of coronavirus before a and what is it what does it tell you about the virus it is ever evolving tell me more kind of a but from that perspective I wish I could I'm not really a virologist and I don't do research but we know that the forty six different strains of coronavirus that run around every year because up to a third of the common cold that anybody who has had a common cold knows that their sense of smell their sense of taste can be thrown off all have reported that respiratory viruses in general can completely ruin your sense of smell and taste and some people never recover their sense of smell so it's not unusual for respiratory viruses or any inflammatory process to because of that so I don't think that this is necessarily any different what's different is the sheer volume of new cases plus the impact on the health care system requires regarding respiratory failure in need for ventilator support that's what makes virus unique over the other circulating corona viruses I've got about ten seconds left here tell me about the the PP is that you have available the ventilators are are are you can are you continuing to need more mass more gloves more face shields more ventilators is that the need right now right the N..

Thomas the people who are behind the scenes usually at a radio station years ago we started featuring them and so they are known but there are people behind them in the promotion and production and engineering and sales and all of that I can try to bring the sales guys and I try to mention their names because they all work really hard and so congratulations to all of them out more read unbeknownst to me has a beautiful singing voice all I know I don't yes you do you do have a few it that be like you say I don't make good cookies I used to sing a lot more than I do now and I think that I've kinda lost my touch a little bit saying a lot all the way through well up until my kids were middle schoolers phone mmhm well we're gonna test you here because all in you know we're going to continue on with the well we're going to whether you're going to join me or not we're going to continue with the songs other than the birthday song so you don't get bored when you're washing your hands for the the twenty to forty seconds I know they keep saying twenty I see forty because I know people get to twenty five or thirty and they've done so I want to make sure you go at least twenty so I say forty that's why I say fourteen twenty but for example toto and Africa I I may not know the words but I know the tune and the and the hand washing choruses is coming up right now.

"Chris Renwick all right so we're gonna continue to look around here to see who the potential in from acting labor secretary will be now that the news is out that labor secretary Alex the cost will be resigning from that position effective that about a week or so it sounds like according to our White House correspondent Bob Constantini also don't forget it is Friday here on the Frank Backman show which means open line Friday is we want to hear from you that's coming up in the eleven o'clock hour meanwhile I don't know if you saw this but I am just an outrage I'm outraged how dare how dare mountain dew giving Wisconsin the U. P. that is it is blasphemous have you seen this is new do knighted states up promotion that mountain dew was launching so the whole deal is that each state gets a specially labeled a bottle of mountain dew and if you collect all fifty bottles for each state you get you get a hundred dollar gift card or something now in one of their ads that they tweeted out it was a short video and use zoom out and it's a kind of a cartoony drawing of the United States and it says do knighted states across it with the mountain dew logo and you look up at where Michigan is and you see the mitten there's the lower peninsula and then you look up and you see this it in each state is kind of color coordinated to to be its own specific little deal so you see what Michigan the the lower peninsula is then you look up top in the upper peninsula blends in with the same kind of pattern as Wisconsin so they gave Wisconsin the upper peninsula shop what was the response to this apparently the upper peninsula has a Twitter account which I didn't even realize I believe that the lower peninsula should also then have a Twitter account but I haven't found it yet dear mountain dew I am not Wisconsin according to the U. P. now they say fix this or send us a free case to all of our residents your call sincerely America's peninsula so there was a couple days gone by and there was no response for mountain dew maybe they were embarrassed but eventually mountain dew responded and they apologized but now I'm do are of the upper peninsula as a talking entity of course this change of plans now do you want to get a bunch of fans I triple dog dare you to come up with an upper peninsula addition of your do knighted campaign so mountain dew says Hey upper peninsula we hear you and we're sorry are bad we didn't mean to miss place you on our do knighted map give us a chance to write our wrong help us fill this special edition label by telling us all the things you love about the upper peninsula note to self located in Michigan so they kind of made it up they made up for it I should say so the the whole campaign now of course Michigan being the greatest state in the country is getting two bottles about do as we should but now mountain dew is asking for people to tweak them and give them specific attributes that we view as being important to the U. P. N. making it specific now for me the the U. P. deal to me is all about pictured rocks that is the U. P. to me so I think that they should incorporate some sort of picture mock motif on the special label rich you've got enough north house I don't know that you have you don't have a it's not the U. pizza in the Alpena area but you've I'm sure you've been to the the U. P. is there something that you'd like to see on the special bottle what got that to quantum alone lawman on fall as they do that's up in the U. P. which incidentally is the same colors mountain dew I don't know if you've ever noticed interest all I see is that in the house so to Kamelot Amman fall some of them yeah corpsman on I think is one of them yes I think that's the the accurate way to pronounce it Nick rowdy our producer today the lines exactly producers well what if you've been to the U. P. of course I have not been to the you all now okay well then I guess you can't I can't contribute okay well Jeez is there something that you'd like to see on this bottle well every year I hear of Frank back been going on the golf tour of the U. P. N. he always talks about great courses they have to put Frank on the that's true okay so they could do golf courses some of the great golf courses in the U. P. their grain also like mountain dew I just think I think this is I think mountain dew should be held in some sort of trouble for this legally I think the U. P. should sue mountain dew I mean how dare they some people said put the hold on let me think about this because I I don't want to get it wrong pastis somebody said put those on there is that specific to the U. P. I. apparently I've heard people say that you can get him anywhere else pass these yeah but like it's a U. P. thing right now all right I don't know I mean I think you get I'm kinda around here or you know northern lower peninsula but the Romeo area they got good pastis believe it or not okay all right good all right so souls are all the things were direct if you've got something that you want to contribute to this if you want if you got a a fought on what mountain dew should put on the special edition U. P. bottle of their said do not needed to buy a promotion they're running a give us a call eight hundred eight five nine zero W. J. R. eight hundred eight five nine zero nine five seven Chris record run week in for Frank Beckman here on WGR they should put Frank in there and a one piece bathing suit Joe me or seafood has just been voted best seafood restaurant for the eighth year in a row by our.

"It in an impacts everybody. Sure. Exactly. Right. I mean, and that's the thing that everybody's. So e one way or the other I think this is a good system. You think this needs to change it impacts? Everybody who twos on the road Michigan. But I love is is the variety of callers that we we have had who have dialed in from a lady who's in the claims part of the insurance business to EMMY, you name, it we've we've had them all and motorcyclists people are upset with the with the pip system and people are upset with no fault. People they wanted straightened out. So that we don't pay the highest prices in the country period. And I don't know if we've taken this call today, but I've had a couple of callers in the past. How made that boaters also have to pay into this as well. No, we're not even on the roads have more water. Yeah. So this impacts. Most of our population here in Michigan. Yeah. Phone lines jammed all morning. Let's get back to them before we run out of time for today. A Bill in Dearborn. You are on the Frank Beckmann show. Good morning. Good. Yeah. I got a two years ago. My wife retired and. We went to interpolate get some books for traveling. And my wife happened the mentioned that she was retired. And he told me that your rates, and and actually told her and my mind. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. If I may your wife went there for some some travel materials and onto our agent. Yeah. And suddenly he found out she retired. And he says now, I gotta raise your rates that's gonna that's your thought. He was joking and. But anyways, I from since then I've been writing on my tech when I pay my Bill, I put in the memo extortion payment, and I also suggested that I that the mafia the mob vocal mobs running triple A and all the other church company stores. Did you get a response to that? He laughed. He pays the same. Yeah. Now, the explain it all what the what the reasoning is for charging seniors more, I guess your age age discrimination, and because you can't drive as good a more. I guess I've been there since nineteen sixty six with AAA and I've gone to other insurance companies, and they don't even talk AAA. We can't be AAA. Wow. And so I and I can't I can't go anywhere. My wife won't even any AAA. Well, I get going, and they all laugh, it's we can do I we we pay the same rates, you know. So what are you going to do, you know? Yeah. Most people do in Detroit. They drive without insurance. If they get an accident, they run the graphic they run, and it's crazy. That you know, that's a good point is a if they do that. And you're in a tough financial situation where you can't afford it. I mean, what is your option your option? Your after news to cut out some other essential in your life to pay for auto insurance or don't buy the insurance. And and just take a chance that you won't get caught her by one of the seven day policies that are famous, and yeah, I might be a hundred dollar fine cheaper than what you're paying. I hear you. I told my guy that's what I'm going to do any goes working over catching up those people. I said well good for you. So you know, what I'm I'm glad to hear your reasoning though for it. Because I think that helps people out to just understand why that's going on out there, then and one more thing. I asked him. I said I have over twelve discounts because I have three cars. I have my house my cottage everything and I wear a seatbelt parked my car in the garage, and he goes, well one thing you live in Dearborn. That's next to Detroit. That's why you're paying higher rates and and. Show me a discount because really show them to you. I says because if I got twelve discounts, you should be paying me every month. Bill. I appreciate the call. Thanks so much. Steve. Thank you. Appreciate it. Stephen Shelby township you're on the Frank Beckmann show. Hello. Oh, no. You gotta turn the radio off. I hope our producer. Chris Renwick told you turn your radio off. All right. You got are listening to him because he will cut you off. If you don't listen to him. I guarantee you good morning. Steve good morning. "Beckmann. Here's Chris Renwick jumping the gun. Holy smoke stack. This jussie smollet thing is is crazy. This has had many twists and turns on this story is getting more. Bizarre. I just can't. I'm look I'm stunned. I'm starting. So he wasn't as I was doing some sleuthing around. It sounds like he wasn't supposed to be in court until next month. He had a court appearance scheduled for April seventeenth, but they they they called a an emergency court appearance. And that's why he was into that. He was not supposed to appear in court today. And it was to announce that all charges against him have been dropped. Now, if you remember this kind of all started. Federal investigators were looking into a it was a it was a note that was sent to his I think it was his workplace. I don't know that it was his his home address. It was like to the studio. It was a threatening letter. You know, the whole thing the letters cut out of a magazine and pasted into form sentences and words, and then there was some white substance which turned out to be a crush of aspirin. I think so federal authorities are still looking into that because they thought that he sent that letter to himself as well. And the two brothers who allegedly were hired to assault him on the street said that that that he was he was the one who sent the letter to himself. So they're still in an investigation into that. But wow, all charges against him dropped sixteen charges. Yeah. Well, more trouble for the Chicago police who knows whether the police bungled this. Although federal authorities are also involved. And you would you would have to think that a logical place. And we'll know we'll hear the details later, a logical place is that the story of the two men. Just doesn't pan out navy there discovered information about one or both of those men or discovered perhaps through surveillance video that something that they said was not true. Yeah. Because that appeared to be the backbone of the charge. Yes. Absolutely. Wow. But we'll learn anyway, what's going on. And it certainly is a a more interesting tale every couple of days Jesse. Smaller sounds like he's gonna talk today. So so we're gonna we're gonna hear directly from him. And boy, I can't wait to hear that. Thank you, dick. Appreciate it. Eleven thirty nine here on the Frank Beckmann show. Chris Renwick, filling your calls and e LaPierre good morning. Andy. Good morning. What are you got force? Well, lady awhile back called in and wanted to know if you knew the difference between German, measles and rubella measles because this was new travelers measles. And she had never heard of it. Well, I think there's only two kinds and I've had both. I'm eighty one years old so back when I had them. There wasn't any vaccinations or anything. Okay. So give me the nutshell. Andy. They call them travellers measles because once here in Michigan were brought in by traveler from Israel. If I remember the report, right? So it was a traveler they brought the measles in German measles measles. German measles. Always a more serious is the two. But the traveler does not describe the measles. Just how they got here. Interesting. Very cool. Hey, Andy, thank you for that information. I appreciate look. We don't want any meetings. Any measles of any type? I think that's safe to say, let's go to Plymouth and Maryland good morning. Maryland. Good morning. Yeah. First time caller longtime listener, Maryland. Yeah. Just want to make a couple points. I think that whoever was responsible for the Sisa warrant and everything after that should be brought forward and held accountable. And I think Justice should be the priority net potential ramifications, politically so you think there should be a further investigation into the fines awards. I sure do Chris. Because think of all that trouble that's caused known and unknown. That's a good point hardly disrupted our country. And there's a reason that people allegedly anyway submitted these wars they thought they could get away with it. And they did. All right. So I'm ask you two questions. And you gotta give me a one word answers one. Do you think President Trump is out of the woods? Do you think? He's smooth sailing from here on out. Yes. Or not no. Because of democrat, okay? And do you think that the outcome of the Mueller investigation, positively help Trump for twenty twenty or negatively? I'm gonna say, positively okay, Maryland, they need to go forward. Investigating the Clintons shunned everybody off fair enough, Maryland, thank you so much. Appreciate the call. Thanks for listening. We always a appreciate you guys out in Plymouth. Great area. Love Plymouth.

"Sitting in for Frank Beckmann. Here's Chris Renwick. All right. Welcome back to the Frank Beckmann show. Chris Renwick in four Frank Beckmann. Appreciate you hanging out with me today. Really? A really cool story at Farmington hills. There's a group called the Farmington hills benevolent rod rather, the Farmington hills police benevolent association there were formed in nineteen ninety four after a to Farmington hills police officers passed away before they reached their pension eligibility and that left obviously their families in a tight spot. So this this association was was was discovered an inbuilt to to help the these the loved ones of these two officers built wire who's now the police Commissioner in in Warren back then was the police chief of the city of Farmington hills. So he kind of started this up, and he's on the other end of our line. You're on the Frank Beckmann show Bill. Good morning to you. Good morning. Chris. How're you terrific? Thanks for taking some time with us. Now, you started this a long time you're twenty fifth anniversary. In fact, how first of all what was the idea behind this? Obviously, I imagine it was the sun. Sergeants bertish cook and Gary Bradley passed away. But how have you seen this involve over time as well? Well, I it's bigger than I ever expected. I mean is our twenty fifth anniversary this year, and it's called classic. We're a five oh one C tree and the association really provides funds to help, you know, public safety officers that are injured or killed in the line of duty or even off-duty injuries. So it's really helped out officers off from Farmington hills, obviously, Detroit lavonia federal agencies a lot of local departments delicious really goes on. So it's not just not just benefiting officers in Farmington hills. No, no, we we have helped out Beverly Hills Franklin Detroit police departments how the state police we've helped out cheerfully showered one of his deputies were seriously injured in military action. We were able to provide five thousand dollars to sharply showered for that deputy. So we are. So we are so proud of what we've done as far as benefiting public. Six safety throughout the southeastern Michigan. And this year is a big year because it's our twenty fifth anniversary and all the funds that are raised one hundred percent of everything we raise goes to public safety. There's no overhead there's no paid positions. Everybody's volunteer. We've got an excellent board of directors John John Lewis nine at that time judge. Fred Harris, are our the founders of the organization which was done in nineteen ninety four as you stated. Well, it's a it's a great thing that you guys have have the started and able to maintain after all these years. So it's it's something that it's just a perfect for for families that need it. And you guys have stepped up to the plate. Can I pick your brain on a couple other stories as well commission? I just mentioned that we also give scholarships out to firefighters and police officers children, and we also are looking for some could make. Our twenty fifth golf classic is at the Lincoln Ovalles on September six and we're always looking for a little help when it comes to auction items and raffle item so anybody that can help us out. They could call me on my cell at two four eight four one seven seventy five hundred if that's possible. Well, God bless you for that Commissioner, we we all we appreciate what you do for for everybody in the region in the state because because obviously there's a lot of a lot of folks that wear the badge that are in need and their family. So you should be proud of what you you. You you and everybody else has done to to make this lasting program. So they came. Absolutely, hey, a couple other things I wanted to ask you before we go. There's this story that of course, a former mccone county clerk Karen Springer is wanted to. Well, she's a subject of an investigation on on, embezzlement and elder abuse. But you can't find her. Let's go. What's going on with that? Well, we're we're still looking for Karen. I mean, we've got we submitted to warrants to the prosecutor's office. One one call was embezzling from vulnerable doubt. And the other one was domestic violence. We know she's out there. It'd be to her benefit to turn herself in. But I mean, what happened here is just just unbelievable as far as what happened to this senior, adult female. Yeah. So it sounds like she according to to what you guys have been told and found in your investigation. She pushed the the elderly woman over and in a parking lot and apparently took purse, right? Shortly thereafter. We did submit a warrant request to the prosecutor's office here in McComb county and was turned back as far as far as further investigation was needed. So based on that were attempting to locate her, but so far have been unsuccessful. Now, we've tried everything. I mean, we've talked to people as far as in the northern part of the state locally here. Her pass residents a number of people that we've contacted by telephone so on and so forth telephonically. But so I'm just at this time. I think it's going to be and I'm trying to get the word out or some way or two friends that have come into the Warren police department. It's it's gonna it's gonna be to her benefit because only a matter of time, we're gonna find her also a forty three year old, man. Ronald Davis was he's got himself into some hot water because. A school parent group this guy, he was the president is still thirteen grand sport is drug habit. Is that that's that's insane. Yeah. It was the Belmont embezzlement of the funds from the west view elementary parents teachers so chasing PTA, and it was for over thirteen thousand dollars was missing from the PTA account. And we found that he was the president around. Davis was the president and he took the funds between October of last year in February of this year, and he failed to pay a number of invoices and withdrew large sums of money from his Bank. We actually executed a search warrant at his home on March nineteenth around in more. Here we found count we also seized a suspected cocaine from him, but he did make admissions to embezzling funds from the PTA to support his drug addiction any way for them to get that money back. Well, you know, he was arraigned in court yesterday. And I'm I'm sure that, you know, as it proceeds in the court system, they're probably be some sort of through his attorney some sort of a, you know, wrong with whatever penalty as far as prison penalty as far as reimbursement of funds. Well, hey, Bill. Thank you so much for for taking some time with us this morning built wire the Commissioner of the Warren police department and the head of the Farmington hills police benevolent association, keep up the good work into have yourself a wonderful weekend. Thank you. Appreciate it. Thanks, but we'll take a.

"Breaks. You're hearing the Frank Beckmann show. News talk seven sixty WJR now in for Frank. Here's Chris Renwick. So apparently, dick as you mentioned. There's a source telling ABC news that there are no more indictments coming down from Robert Muller's investigation. That's what ABC says that they say they it's expected. So is it safe to say that President Donald Trump won't be indicted under that scenario? No, one will be indicted. No one who hasn't been charged now. Interesting while we're still waiting for that to to finalize and up, and guess what? Interesting. Interesting. Thank you. Yeah. That's that's a big development that story. Yes. All right. Well, there isn't a whole lot of information on it yet. Or what else this sources saying? But we'll we'll keep on top of it. Thank you, dick. And they're saying sources so more than one that would indicate more than one. I wouldn't think that such a big story if assuming they do have sources like that if they're unnamed sources, you would have to have more than one to run a big story like that interesting. Thank you, dick. Appreciate it. As we continue on with the the NC double A tournament here today and into tomorrow and this weekend. One of the the experts that we've had on this show in years past is is Tim Chartier. He's a professor of math and computer sciences at Davidson college down in North Carolina about twenty miles north of Charlotte. Is that right, professor. Yeah. That's correct. Thanks for for for coming on today and talking about this also Sam Thomas's with needs a computer science major, and you win the students have been working collaboratively on on a really cool new initiative that you're working with a couple of the TV networks on can you guys? Tell me about that a little bit. Sure, we're working with during the ACC we worked with ESPN, and we're now working with CBS working specifically with the statistician John Tobias and we're offering statistics during the game. So that fans can get even more insight into what's happening on the court. Now, I I hesitate to ask you this. Because I feel like I know the answer how how difficult is this and what kind of work goes into this. Sam Thomas, the the the student. I'm assuming leads this this initiative with his fellow students. Yeah. So a lot of the preparation and writing the code comes before the game. But in game it actually happens in real time. So we can put together some pretty significant analysis in little as two or three seconds that we can just pass along demonstra Tobias for him to using the live broadcast. So is this is this like state of the art is anybody else doing stuff like this one of the reasons John came to us is because of the fact that it is relatively state of the art. He could see that we were pulling stats that had to be from our own personally written, computer code. And then we also use software in part of it's our ability to put in the right data. So we use jump software, which is part of SAS. If you're familiar with that, it's the typical software that enables us to actually give indicators of how a game can be played. So that you can actually see how a team can win. Very cool. You guys. He does have been working with professional sports leagues. For for a number of years. You've done the NBA NFL. MLB in NASCAR is well, you're also working with the US Olympic Committee. So this is something that you guys are comfortable with. Yes, we when we look at data we often turn to sports in that context. And part of that's because students have a lot of what we call domain knowledge in sports. So they can jump in much much quicker in terms of what they have. So we actually have seventy students down here working in sports analytics among a lot of different initiatives, and that's very cool jumping to to to this year's tournament. And this year's bracket. What have you guys seen in terms of some teams that maybe are gonna make it to the final four? So a couple of teams that have been doing really well and the coli and Massey ratings, which are basically just data. That's derived from the season based on the scores of how games have gone in the regular season across a bunch of different segments of the season and waited differently accordingly. So for instance, putting have your way towards like the conference part of the schedule. Have been frequently showing up at the top of those ratings have been you ever see a Virginia do Gonzaga and UNC which makes sense seeing as the top for their the four one of the number one seeds. Interestingly though, given where we're talking to you is that Michigan state does come up as an Michigan both come up very strong. So it's a little strange to usually have the one seed come up that consistently. But nonetheless when you see these number two seeds coming in like Michigan state in Michigan. They're non the non number one seeds. Both of them are very high at our ranking. So my son made a bracket using these methods, and he has both Michigan state Michigan going, quite far, which my wife, and I were pleased with because we both lived in Michigan. Perfect. Well, hey, we will take that from from from you guys. You guys are the best in the business at this. So. If we if we gave you got him going far than than than than we should all feel a little more comfortable today. Hey, Tim, Tim charter professor, math and computer science at Davidson college. Thank you so much for joining us as you do every year and Sam Thomas, the computer science major down there. Congratulations on what you guys are doing. It's very cool. And you should be a applauded in commended for that. Thank you. Thanks, guys. Appreciate it nine forty three here on the Frank Beckmann show. Chris Renwick in for Frank and coming up next. I was shocked when I found out. What this medical procedure? Is that takes a huge, spike. Come college basketball tournament time. We'll figure out what that every day. More than a million Michigan students get up in the morning and go to school community college or university teachers and professors Greek them in classrooms from enro- to Saint Joe Novak to Ironwood ready.

And I've even shared some of my touch. Yeah. That was shocking, which was nice. And. Yeah. Very nice. If it's not bad. It's pretty cool though being here and having listeners stopping by. And I mean, it's it's really a chance to to meet people that you don't get to see who know you because. Yeah. That's exactly right. So who you got in the Super Bowl? You're actually I have. I got New England. Yeah. Yeah. I I would have to there's a guy you want your team. It's Tom Brady and the patriots at Tom Brady. So that's my rationale. Yeah. He's got that killer instinct. Yeah, he does that Rams teams. Good though. Really good. I mean, but girly had better be very healthy. And well, he's better be helped. Yeah, we're going to have to be able to run the ball. He's you know, he's going to strap them on either way. There's only one game left. That's true. To make it this far. But whoever thought Jared Goff would be in the Super Bowl. Now a couple years after he could give it up for a bust. I team is loaded loaded. He's got weapons galore. So l'hotel east. A lot of talent there without one of the receiver. Banged up Cup. Yeah. Cooper ACL? I think he's done for the year with this really a shame. It'll be fine. It'll be a fun Super Bowl. It should be. Yeah. I think so it should be. But you were telling me was a favorite. Yeah. So now th- dog or dog dog. Yeah. Will you might have to buy the hook? Right. Exactly. Like New England as underdog get on it now. Exactly, exactly. Here's here's the other thing is what good defense they've been playing. Yeah. So you know, Matt Patricia is looking at that going. Yeah. That's my baby twit. He L create. So at any rate borough coming up later, we've got a lot more to come on the Frank Beckmann show, Ken Rogulski, standing by lead. Heading who's going to be leaving the Detroit News. "Right, ten seventeen on seven sixty WJR. So glad you could join us. Frank Beckmann, enjoying the day off Shawn baligian sitting in with you. Really appreciate Nick Roddy. And Steve Courtney getting down there. To Allen park by all means, really. Appreciate them doing that. And certainly Bob Quinn addressing the media as well. So did you do your homework assignment? I gave a little homework assignment very early on in the show. And Chris Renwick did his homework assignment. As a matter of fact, Rashid it to leap, congratulations sworn into congress. Michigan democrat. She is part of a movement. There's already been the articles of impeachment and house damn expected to introduce the impeachment resolution as well. But as I said earlier, if you're one of those people that you cannot stand Donald Trump, and there are plenty of them. There are plenty of them within his own party. Okay. I think there's a big difference between disliking a president and talking and calling for the impeachment of said president. And if you are one of those people that are I guess in favor of impeaching the president. I I like to use this term in sports a lot. And I think it's applicable in society today today based on what legally constitutionally based on what? Because saying things like I don't like him. He's crude he's mean. Those are impeachable offenses. Those really aren't impeachable offenses. Case you missed it it to leave not only wrote an op Ed in the free press yesterday where she said President Donald Trump is a direct and serious threat to our country on an almost daily basis, he attacks our constitution, how our democracy how the rule of law how and the people who are in this country, how his conduct has created a constitutional crisis that we must confront now. Well, I'll let you guys debate whether or not that's but the clincher to all this in Chris do you have the sound by some strange chance. All right. Do you have the beep on you? And you went. Says momma look you one blowing.
