"Different from indiana jones. Short round and fucking chick. They house any difference from them like jump out of a plane on a lifeboat and sliding down a mountain without completely killing themselves. They'll say well for one. It was fucking indiana jones. doing it. It was if jones swinging with monkeys. instead of fucking shiloh booth. the maybe maybe. I would have been into it more. But i don't know. But i let me sane is because i gotta ask you. I was like you know at the time. I gave the movie a full price as one the movies. I'm ashamed of and i middle. Say that to you. I'm sorry to this day. I'm still apologizing for goddamn indiana jones. Four but i never saw it again. Never had a desire to watch it again so i don't remember a whole lot but obviously you've pinpointed some things that changed. You know that you remember what you say. I know exactly why this movie is not as good as the others. What is it about that film man that just feels off. The fourth one feels off for a couple reasons for me. This is purely my own criticisms. No one has to listen to me but my problem with it. A lot is from the opening shot. Everything feels a little bit wrong right. Those opening shots of the prairie dogs and their cgi prairie dogs. And you feel that george. Lucas influence immediately. Like oh shit. This is going to be green screen. It's going to be a lot of cgi. And i think a lot of the charm of the first three indiana jones films that so much of it was achieved practically. You felt like you were really in those time periods right. Everything felt really textured. This movie doesn't really have that and like some people go to bat for this nuke the fridge seen. I'm not gonna hate on it like necessarily but it does feel like way too overly polished and every time there's an action scene for me you can tell it's not harrison for doing the action scenes. They always do a job purposely. Obfuscating him but shadows or something like that. Yeah i gotta say the most show. I never from the beginning. I even rolled. Is it that i was like you know. It's one thing to to see the the raft scene in there. And i and we know that i can tell you why this because when i saw this on like shit is just stupid loops banging you would open it up. It would just be soup coming out of the pool of blood and guts. Come out today is like it's one thing to see indiana jones and this doesn't make sense either. They proved it. They had a show. They proved it. But it's one thing to see them land on an incline and kind of like full yuna believing that they could survive that that falls getting banged around so hard in their man. It will break every bone in his body where he would be. Just be jelly coming out of there. Anyway yeah no. I mean i. I'm sorry i didn't actually see the grab that scene in prep and didn't watch it. Because i didn't want to get upset. I just watched it. And i'm like fucking movie. Look i think. I think cargill and i think And i think martin wanted to love something right. Everyone loves indiana jones. Least you should even doom. It's one personally. I think the first ten minutes a doom is fucking insane and one of the funniest movies. So it's like i like indiana jones can contain multitudes. It doesn't mean that has to be the same thing each time it's the that fourth one felt a little bit wrong. Maybe you'll burke didn't seem particularly comfortable doing that kind of a film because indiana jones. I think to stay relevant. He was told it had to include a lot of cgi and a lot of that stuff. And that's never really been what. Indiana jones is But also it's like harrison. Ford may still have the personality of indiana jones. I think even that film he was showing some limitations to the physicality of that role. And now we're fourteen thirteen years later. You know what i'm saying. And i i'm a little bullish on the whole proposition of this but at the same time like you said this harrison ford's very protective of this role in a way that he never really was about on solo or any of that shit when asked. Oh that's not you who play indiana jones. He said nobody like it should die with me which i actually a little bit agree with. Even though there was a bunch of speculative casting people were talking. Chris pine redo it get a new director Chris pratt sorry not correspond. And then you can redo it. You can have a new franchise for the next twenty thirty years and it's just like i don't know i don't think this is james. Bond indiana jones is harrison ford. And i don't really see it easily transferring to anyone else or maybe i'm wrong. Disney owns it and they are going to do something with it regardless of whether harrison ford's alive and maybe i should stop being precious about it. Well i don't know much about this. So james mangold going to be the director. James mangold tapped so spill burger. This is the thing where it's like. Look maybe it is time to just go in another direction because it's not like spielberg is coming back to finish this. If this is indeed heirs and ford's last indiana jones. You would almost want that to be with spielberg. The person who shepherded did all the other four films. James mangold got a handpicked by spielberg to do indiana jones. Five and i like mangled a lot. I think it's very very competent director. But it's not the same thing if you don't know what he's done he did a probably the most. The most popular of his movies is the is the rated movie logan..

Howard Stern's surprising advice to Ellen DeGeneres amid toxic workplace allegations

"Okay. This is a wild story Howard. Stern has some surprising advice for Ellen. Degeneres. Ellen's been in a tub attorney trouble recently like. It's been going on for years, but it's just been a few months. Her reputation suddenly has been damaged I. think allegations about a toxic work culture and worse now Howard thinks eleanor should actually embrace this new persona and she should not try to be rehabilitator image no no. No she should basically just say everybody this is me and I'm a son of a you know what? Would he just go with it lead into this new image. He also goes on to say for many many years people thought he was horrible and he's actually kind of a nice guy I've got to admit the few times I've met Howard, he sort of like a good guy, and then was not as Nice went on the Ellen was more difficult than Howard. What do you think about this advice should ellen just lean into being a monster? What do you think Mr? The first is to laugh because all Howard wants to do is spend time with his gorgeous wife Bath and their dogs. I understand him giving her that advice but she spent thirteen years building brand of kindness and giving. She's not going to give that up. But let me tell you. She is going to have to act a little differently on her show day one she needs to come on camera and say, look she has to admit this has been happening all summer to ignore it and be like, Hey, we're having a dance party nobody's GonNa buy it. She has to come on and say look I know that people have talked about. The show they talked about me. They've criticize whether I'm kindness or not, and I had to take a look into myself and say have I lived up to my own standards and I am this point going to make a change to be a kinder version of myself and then she can kind of go back to the life that she had. It won't be exactly the same, but she has to own up to on it. She has to take one hundred percent responsibility for her actions and then she can move forward.

'Onward' Leads Box Office With Ho-Hum $40 Million

"Right Steve tells about armored yes it's the latest from Pixar here we go it begins with a look back in history not not our history but the history of a fantasy world where all manner of sort of mermaids and unicorns and elves and fairies and minotaurs and wizards in just about any other creature you might find in a role playing game would exist but as these fantasy beings find short cuts to do doing magic over time like why why user wings to fly when you can buy an ORP airplane ticket or why use a spell to start a fire would you can use a match they become lazy and the magic that made them special starts to disappear from the world at large so skip ahead to more or less the presentation you meet we meet Ian and barley who were to elf brothers voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt they grew up with it without their father because the the father died just before the younger Ian was born and when barley was still a young a young L. fling there mother who's voiced by Julia Louis Dreyfus has done a great job of raising them but that hasn't kept him from being frustrated at not having a dad he kinda lacks confidence he doesn't have a lot of friends and I believe that having a father in his life might have changed that barley is is a bit of a lovable lug who knocked everything over that distance pass any tried to take connected to the magical world through role playing games and he drives this amazing band named Guinevere that he refers to it as mighty Steven if you see the detailing on the side you'll understand why so he in turn sixteen is mom gives the in this very special present from his dad it's a wizard staff that includes a built in spell that brings this is supposed to bring his father back to life for twenty four hours and I even kind of botches the spell about halfway through with only the bottom half of his father basically just his pants appear to him very much alive and communicative but without sort of gears in a haze in ways to communicate very well even figured out that he needs something called a Phoenix crystal to complete the spell and barley thinks this is a great opportunity to sort of tear up on a brotherly class that ends with even forgetting to spend this day with his dad that he's always dreamed of in for barley it's a chance to rediscover the magic that still exists in their world the director Dan Scanlan who did monsters university which was definitely not one of my favorite Pixar films has crafted what what might be Pixar's purist adventure film get him in the team have filled it with water last action in a great deal of creativity I really like that could be a Spencer this beastly creature that she plays name the manticore that's part lion and bad the scorpion and she used to be the most feared and respected creature in the realm and now she's managing the theme restaurant but between the laughs on where does what Pixar does best which is that fine that emotional core of the story and by the end we realize the film isn't about this kids search for his father it's about this kid realizing the into appreciating the people in his life that did raise him and did have a hand in shaping who he is and you know if you have a sibling in your life that you're particularly close to I'm gonna get you you might cry like a baby in this movie I don't know but on would also deal with issues of bullying and searching for inner confidence and how real magic sometimes from just comes from just believing in that you can that you can do something even if you can't so it sounds corny it is Corning sometimes I think the energy that Holland impressed bring to these characters is really impressive and they sort of cell that lifelong bond it's genuinely moving the sometimes manic performances carry over to the pacing of the film which at times can be exhausting but onward finishes strong I think with a stand off between our heroes and a really interesting visual take on what I always think of the played out creature in the fantasy world the that needs some conquering in this film this is the the the old the the whole film is sort of hit and miss at times but I think the final act delivers on its emotional promise and brings all things to a satisfying conclusion at least the movie sort of dealt with itself in color and imagination and and and a healthy dose of enthusiasm I think we end up winning the day I was shockingly underwhelmed by this movie is the prologue of this movie that that Steve described as the this idea that the magic of kind of got out of the world everyone's you've taken the easy way out we do not agree to set up for a movie a movie that I knew very little about yeah that's all users are like an elder in road trip movie with two brothers and I thought that that was pretty good pretty great set up and the movie business takes on that life that it just seems that it gets easy itself and the sort of forgets the the really sort of really intriguing premise that it sets itself apart but then that would be in the emotional undercurrent in this movie of this movie where they're trying to resurrect their dad for this very brief time in their lives one of the bridge brothers should be no didn't really know him at all I you know I I was expecting a much bigger payoffs at the end of the film and the it's a little slow for the bulk of the movie ice was sort of tolerating in this adventure story which I really wish I had only been the one brother I really did not like the Chris Pratt brother character I thought it was just the heat interrupted everything too often I would much rather have been so little story with the brother try and of the one year old son trying to reconnect with his father is this wonderful moments really early on in the movie where the the the younger brother have a tape of his father and he has the nose the tape so while he's able to sync crappy conversation with his father as a result of that I thought well what I mean that to me in such a way that display all the unsold set up for this movie now and then it just became more of a routine adventure story with a couple nifty set pieces along the way and I was just waiting for this conclusion to really only family families I'm going to get back at the end and I thought that they botched it to the entire movie I kept thinking about the ending to status perks A. I. which is seems to be where this movie almost guilt to gain that idea of resurrecting this you know your most loved person for a single day the never being able to speak to them ever again not that movie you know destroys me this movie left me underwhelmed yeah I was underwhelmed by it too I was it didn't have any to it but I didn't connect with it emotionally and that's really odd for Pixar movie because most Pixar movies you connect on an emotional level you know and but I can't I can't count the number of Pixar movies that have me crying you know like all agree on usually it's at the end but in the in the case of office the first ten minutes right but I didn't I didn't connect with these characters I was nicely animated there are some clever things in it and some of the action sequences are fine but I never connected with it on any kind of emotional level so I was I was disappointed with onward as well so it did make forty million over the weekend now six seven eight no no this is this isn't down there this is good dinosaur numbers yeah and the first big family they've ever opened in March it's always been either June November the couple won the end of may sell the I mean they have another one coming out in June I just don't know if they just didn't know where to put this movie or they didn't think it was strong enough for a summer holiday release but forty million dollars is not great for for for movie of they are real steel like Pixar okay all right and is million came in second with fifteen million up to about fifty three million total that's pretty solid let's see yeah it's almost yes it can be close to a hundred million dollars worldwide only cost seven million dollars to make you go man and then the way back eight point five million not not a that great unfortunately all right

Breaking Down 'Shazam!'

"Finds itself at an interesting inflection point. I would say I thought she was a very fun and entertaining movie, but it did not really feel like anything that had come in the DC universe before. And you kind of explain to me. What should I am is? And what it's trying to do. Sure. I mean, I kind of had the. To do the same thing after watching the movie because like right around the time the post credits scene with a evil Caterpillar happened. I was kinda like I've no idea what any of this stuff is. So thankfully, Mike does have a a piece on the ring dot com. A great website kind of breaking down the kind of Kazan origins. But yeah, he's he was actually originally called captain marvel and like in the movie there was like a wizard named 'schisms who gave him like all these superpowers. But when he sorta got folded into DC comics because marvel had its own captain marvel he then became Zam. But the whole spiel is basically the same thing like the wizards powers you activate it by saying Zam, and then I guess in the big conversion you just become buff, Zachary Levi. Yeah, I didn't even know buff Zachary Levi was going to be a thing that I would ever have to talk about. I can't say when I was watching Chuck ten years ago. That this ever crossed my mind that he would be a superhero, I think Tony Lee. This movie is pretty significantly different from superman vs Batman and the Justice league films and even wonder woman, which I thought was you know, is a very charming and obviously hugely successful movie. But there is a lightness in the tone, and it's not quite as operatic goofy. As was l-. You know, what did you make of the kind of movie that Sam was trying to be yet? No, I thought it was fun at kind of had like almost throwback Amblin entertainment coming of age vibe like something you'd see from like Amblin in like the eighties. But with the caveat that instead of a kid going on venture or something he can just become a superhero. But I thought it was a it was it was kind of an appropriate tone for for the kind of here that this guy is and I kind of like that, you know, a kid like a teenager becoming Kazan like he has like a bit of an aimlessness to him at the beginning. Like, there's not the sort of great power with great with great power comes great responsibility type speech. You just sorta has to learn things on the fly Yemen. One of the first things that the character does after he realizes his powers as he just goes to a convenience store in buys beer and candy. And you know, I it, you know, the movies clearly pitched as sort of what if big, but superhero, and it's very effective in showing us like maybe not with the real world ramifications would be because it's a little bit different in tone in the real world. But some of the like aspirations that you have as an adolescent, and the things that you wish you could do when you were thirteen sham does for the first hour of this movie, and the movie ultimately just becomes a story about like friendship and the way that we act bigger and older than we are. And what we can get away with in that time. And then it does turned into a little bit of a superhero movie. What did you make of the kind of balancing of those tones? Yeah. I mean, I think I did prefer sort of the the first half of the move. In that respect, as you know, there are so many superhero movies out there. And I think for the most part it's sorta gets derivative to when the movie gets the guy discovers his powers, you know, like Peter Parker, like scaling skyscrapers type of thing. But it was fun for Suzanne because it felt very like very genuine response. What if a fourteen year old kids suddenly had powers like, yeah? He would try to buy beer. He would go to script strip club in like beam about the chicken wings because this is a PG thirteen movie. You know, if he's in a world where superman Batman exists, and he doesn't really know. What to do is? You just if he can't find people to save is he just going to he's going to try to make cash and become a YouTube star. It was an interesting approach. But I think like I preferred that half of the movie versus like, the Mark strong shows up with seven CGI deadly sin, archetypes, or whatever. And it's time to punch him a lot. Yeah. I agree. I don't think part was active. It's funny because it feels like a movie like this, which is not exactly a reinvention. But is a is a reconsidering of what these kinds of movies can be still does arrive and its conclusion at the notion that needs to feature a lot of punching and a lot of fighting the bad guy. I'm curious to see if as we grow inside, the D C E U, I guess much like Zam. If they'll ever change the the the approach that they take having kind of the final showdown in the final forty five minutes of the movie that was also one of my struggles. Honestly with wonder woman, which I thought as I said was really clever and well made and then ultimately just turned into Diana fighting a demon monster who was played by David through Lous. What do you make of the decisions that DC is now making to singular is each of their movies? I mean, it's interesting because like, you know, they they did a pretty quick pivot from like fast-tracking their Justice league movie which end up being like relative to the expectations a bit of a bomb for them. Also, it didn't really track critically. But you know, they're kind of like making these films that have this very little interconnectivity like aquaman was only really playing the seeds for Auckland to and I guess a trench spinoff, which I could go on like a twenty minutes handed about the trench about the trend. Can't wait for the trench. And like kind of the same thing with wonder woman sequel in feels that way, which is. To you know, if it does well enough at the box office like affiliates just leading into sham two or maybe like a black atom movie, which is like a sham villain. That's supposed to be played by Dwayne Johnson. If you look at like the C projects that are in the air like a rebooted suicide squad, James Gunn, new bad movie. Perhaps a flash movie there's all these other projects like the one glaring omission is there are no plans to make like a Justice league to and not to say that would never happen again. But clearly like the D C you right now is content. Just kind of throwing stuff out there and seeing what resonates with audiences yet. If you look down there slate, we talked about this a little bit during the release of aquaman, but I was just in add an in Vegas at cinema Khan. And they were very proud of the approach that they were taking telling their stories because the next the next handful of movies. They have is of course, Zam, and you know, they also have joker which is coming in October. Which also feels quite standalone seems to have virtually nothing in common with the movie Lakesha Zam. And then there's also a birds of prey which is. Theon story of sort of five superhero team that will also include Margot Robbie Harley Quinn, and that totally and visually looks completely different from those other two movies. And so they've taken this decision to not just make that flash movie and not just make whatever inevitable green lantern movie. And with the same kind of stormy visualises that that Zack Snyder created, but to just kind of individually each story, which is what a lot of comic books are actually a lot of comic books have separate illustrators. They have separate writers their tones are quite different amazing spider. Man could be quite different from x men and superman could be quite different from, you know, detective comics, and what's going on with that, man. And of course, I guess next year late next year. We'll have the Batman which Matt Reeves Batman movie. Do you know, your your very closely track the comp films for us is it more interesting to you of all of this the fits together or do you like it better? If it stands alone and the movies get to be what they are. Well, I. Kind of like maybe I just have a bit of a marble fatigue. Just because it feels like we've been preparing for endgame like just just forever. But yeah, I kind of like this approach because you know, like, if something doesn't, you know resonate with with audiences like I personally wasn't as big of a fan as as wonder woman as other people were which is fine. You know, I I like parts of it. But, but you know, for the most part people really enjoyed it. And I think you know, it's an interesting approach. I think what will probably be most interesting is with wonder woman command and Zam they've all been pretty well received. And they've made a good amount of money. I'm curious what happens like how the DC EU responds when something flops with critics audiences in the box office. Do they like shake it off? Or if it's like, if it's bracing a certain tone, like, you know, let's say joker is actually quite terrible. And and you know, it's like a Scorsese prestige that. Just kind of doesn't work like will the DC you kinda void being that experimental. Again. I I'm curious to see what happens when there's kind of like a speed bump on the road for them. I am too is an interesting question because it does seem like in with Shas AM and most likely joker and handful of these other movies. They don't come with that two hundred and fifty million dollar production price tag. You know, they're definitely smaller movies with more modest ambitions, at least in terms of the execution of the movie. And so the risk is lower. So if let's say joker is not the sort of world-beating, cultural colossus that many would have us believe this week. That's okay. I think that they could probably survive that. And it's an you're right. It is a really interesting pivot away from all of that interconnectiveness. Is there anything else about his that you you really liked and you responded to? Yeah. I really like that, you know, I thought Zachary Levi was was just so good at like kind of capturing basically like, you know, a kid in a swollen dealt spot ended it so well like there were times where you almost felt to childlike for guy who's still like fourteen years old, but you could tell he was just having such a blast. And and yeah, I would have never expected Chuck would be like a swollen superhero. But I never expected Jim from the office to like, you know, make some hard movie also become buffer like Michael bay film. So I I guess, you know sick. I'm stars. They can transform. Yeah. Could you cast a sitcom debauche sitcom figure into into a superhero movie right now is there? Anybody springs to your mind? Is Jim Parsons our next. Green lantern. You think? Oh god. No, no. I'm trying to think of like if someone from parks and rec ado that transformation that isn't Chris Pratt. Because I mean, he's he's just forget about this point. He's he's like a discount printing. Frazier. But he he has done that as well. I mean, I guess maybe if if Adam Scott were cast as as galactic that would probably that. That's as close as we're gonna get

"Going that route. Yeah. So I I was impressed by Miley. Cyrus good for her. I actually root for those kids. I wrote for Miley Cyrus and roofer for Justin Bieber. I I read an article about him the other day he was on the cover of some chick magazine with with. Hey that Hailey Baldwin who is married to they were talking about how hard marriages and all that other shit and everything I didn't think that kid and like he sounded pretty upstanding. And he was like look man there was a period in my life where I was fucked up and doing all the stupid shit, and whatever it was like, I didn't think he would come out of any of that to be honest with you. I'm glad he did. I don't wanna see people especially child stars fail ethically or kill themselves or whatever. And I wouldn't be surprised if he puts out a fucking Grammy winning album in a few years. We'll see. Yeah. For real. Because I think he's got enough talent potential like guys like that who take some time off like Timberlake, you get out of that hot hot spotlight like. Remember Timberlake in that Britney Spears when they're all wearing denim and shit together walking around. Oh boy. I don't know what the fuck gonna happen to these two. I think you give that five years and then boom album comes out and you're like holy shit. I think I that can happen to that kid. I think most of the people are rooting for them. And by all accounts, he seems like a pretty good, dude. So right. You just hope that the whole God stuff doesn't get in the way. Doing fucking awesome on brand album. What if he drops the fuck and hottest Jesus album of the year? Never no. He goes to the Chris Pratt church. Does it turning into the Scientology of the Christian world? You've been what's funny man is I I saw I saw post another fucking shitty celebrities tied to my Twitter is Ellen page. Who is us. Militant now about the LGBT for you feed nine nine six seven eight nine community. Soldier. Yeah. So she told Chris Pratt to go. Fuck himself the other day why? Because he belongs to that church. And they don't believe in gay people or something. So yeah. Yeah. But I was surprised. I was like, man. She didn't call it out. Chris pratt. Fuck himself. Not sure if Melissa Joan Hart is goes to that church, but she's under. She's getting a little bit of heat for going on and podcast and talking about she had switched her kids from a Christian church to regular school, some kind of charter school or something and she had to have a conversation with them of. We don't know if these people are good because they don't believe in God. Okay. So you have to like approach everybody like, you know. You're not sure if they're good people, and then her friend friend or her daughter, befriended a Jewish girl. And it's and she likes she's not going to be going to heaven. They don't have you know, you can't really trust. Anyone that doesn't have Jesus in their heart? Don't really trust her. Yeah. So is this weird? She just kept kind of going, and you know, she's under. Yeah. The way that she said it so she had to make like an apology that was she said, I studied relig- I've studied religion for eight years, and I'm learning more and more. Good. But what do you mean by studied theology? I guess I don't know. Or do you just mean you've been a Christian? Do you know what I'm saying? Like what they throw studied around fucking knows anymore. I the other one I saw was treated that new Muslim congresswoman out of Michigan by the Detroit area. She is by the way, hardcore Muslim we've found that out this morning when she tweeted out that Jews were the problem for everything and. Reach weeded somebody like these hook nose fucking people. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. How's that working out nuts? It turns out. It's not even Chelsea Clinton was just like, hey, I think we we should stop this rhetoric and all the shit on Twitter..

‘The Lego Movie 2’ Collapses at the Box Office

"Installment of the LEGO movie debuted in the top spot this weekend, but not by as much as Warner Brothers had hoped the animated movie starring Chris Pratt was estimated to make at least fifty million dollars after its predecessor came in at sixty nine million for its debut. Instead, though, the sequel had one of the weakest openings of the franchise apparently fellow newcomers what men want and cold pursuit following the top three with what men want and second with nineteen million Liam Neeson's cold pursuit in third made ten point eight million bucks. It could be that the recent controversy. Around Neeson's remarks about once seeking race-based revenge is what caused cooled pursuit to be one of the lowest openings of the actor's career. Also could be the fact that it's distinct burger so for two thousand nineteen is only proven that the domestic box office is on a well, it's on a decline. In fact, this year the box office has gone downhill for six weekends straight six row. But there's still hope big releases. You're coming up how to train your dragon the hidden world, and captain marvel still on the horizon. So the top ten movies tops the box this past weekend. "Total of outdoor awesome goodness from this beautiful outdoor playground of state that we live in. I am a I'm a Chris Pratt fan. I I like his movies. I liked that the guys unapologetic about his beliefs. He's unapologetic about what he does. In the funny part about Chris Pratt. I'll tell you this. I promise. The about Chris Pratt is he is cemented himself in Hollywood. And he has made himself a megastar being star Lord in the guardians of the galaxy in being Andy, Dwyer and parks and rec and all drastic park franchise now. The Hollywood can't get rid of him in Hollywood right now wants to get rid of him. Because any other I would say any other actor actress that is doing what he's doing in his is as unapologetic as he is about his hunting weighs about his sustainable living ways in even about they're freaking out that he skipped the gym over the holiday season. Really? That's what we want to have our age about. But any other actor that would do that would be gone done in a heartbeat. I wouldn't say gone, but it would be difficult to get work. Chris pratt. The first time. I realized that he was an outdoorsman. It was it was an interview about the there were talking about is a promo tour about the drastic world franchise. And and he was talking about he just got really dramatic and romantic about the whole thing. He was like you're in a tree standing you're invisible to the elements, and he said your foyer to nature. Okay. All right kids kids, going deep going real deep. He likes this. And I respected him for it. He just he just gets a little bit more romantic about the ideal hunting the Nigel, but understand this. He's not only a hunter. He is a sustainable living guy. Not an off the grid kind of wacko guy. He just he he raises his own food gardens his own food and gets his own animal proteins from his own livestock. Does does it. Any posted a picture, and I'm not a big fan of of lamb. I'm not I just I just anything you have to serve with mint jelly. I don't even get it. Just you know, put some salt and pepper on little slob assaults. Good. All good. Not a giant fan. But this picture that he posted of all these cuts of lamb is making me insanely Hungary right now. It looks delicious. It's got five hundred sixty six thousand lakes. Our people get to get trust me are outdoor world people. We we love the pictures like this. I'm going to read the post excuse me. Look at all this glorious food. We will eat from for an entire month. "Talking about grace and how people fought for and died for grace this is something that chris pratt does and this is something that chris pratt should be proud of innate is amazing to me that hollywood continues to embrace him because you know what hollywood is all about you know that hollywood is all about liberalism you know that hollywood is all about anti conservatism you know the hollywood is all about hillary and certainly nothing there is no appreciation for republicans or president trump or anything that light of a stand for and so a lot of the things that pratt said the chris pratt said are absolute truths you know don't bully us your soul for good no matter what it is earned it i mean think about all of the liberal things that are out there today as far as tenants of liberalism certainly one of them is everybody gets a trophy right or i love what chris pratt said no matter what you do earn it not everyone gets a trophy the people who really work hard those are the ones that earn a trophy but it is amazing isn't it to to compare and contrast robert de niro's f donald trump to chris pratt and what he had to say at the music awards last night just amazing so he really should be proud and conservatives i think i should be proud because what he did last night when he walked out onto that stage and gave that motivational speech i would love to see more of that i don't think that i will but i would love to see more of that reason being is that there isn't enough motivation coming out of hollywood unless he's just motivation to spread as much bad will in bad horrific discourse is we possibly can that's what hollywood is all about so yeah i do apply to chris pratt because i think that this is a guy who absolutely had that opportunity one more time to say something positive andy unifying and think about that think about the applause that he earned talking about earning the applause that he earned when he mentioned god and when he talked about the fact that life is tough out there one of his overriding messages was life is tough out there in the real world so some of the things that you need to do respect the military respect god learn to pray you know we've seen studies over and over again about how the younger generation we're talking about kids that are coming up through high school heading into college thinking about everything that they deal with right now think about the fact that they're in fear of things like school shootings they're saddled with debt i if they're going through college they're saddled with debt they may or may not have a degree that will enable them to earn a bunch of money so that they can pay off that college that their parents have been divorced multiple times no wonder it is they don't necessarily want to get married and have kids themselves this is a younger generation frankly the mtv generation right now they are incredibly cynical as well they should be because of everything that they've grown up dealing with so kudos to chris pratt for his message to the younger generation my name is dan manderson for chris crock right here on newstalk eight twenty wbz ap rush is always right i keep trying to tell everybody this is completely manufactured political crisis that is surrounded by hysteria and it's being presented as a news story less limbaugh eleven to stock eight twenty wbz ap don i got a question for you have you been thinking that maybe you might need a change of pace maybe you want to learn something new or better yet how to defend yourself maybe it's time your family knows how to defend themselves for the best hands on helpful defense training go to.

"Know there's so few conservatives in hollywood and and we know this and that's part of the part of the problem with hollywood but last night i must have missed it i'm sorry but apparently they had the mtv movie and tv awards and chris pratt was given some sort of an award and so he came up and he wanted to give the kids and and katie and sherry i don't know if you saw this but he gave his nine rules for good living now you're gonna notice that we on the air seven of the nine roles because there was some bathroom humor and there's well we edited out for your comfort the bathroom humor that chris pratt through down but the remaining seven roles are actually i was almost tempted to run the bathroom humor but i didn't think it would be appropriate for morning audience not really funny either so you what can i say share just very quickly because you heard it and i don't think kerry did katie heard it but you know it's interesting sorry what's interesting what's interesting is that his nine roles seven of the nine were really good i don't understand why he went down the road of the bathroom humor but in any event here's chris pratt's seven or so rules for good living listen this is what i call nine roles from chris pratt generation award winner number one breath if you don't you'll suffocate number two you have a soul be careful with it number three don't be attorney throng be a protector and if you're smart humble influencers strength and intelligence can be weapons and do not wield them against the week that makes you a bully bigger than that number four win giving dog medicine put the medicine piece of hamburger they won't even know they're eating medicine number five doesn't matter what it is earn it a good deed reach out to someone in pain be of service it feels good it's good for your soul number six god is real god wants the best for you i believe that i do number eight learn to pray it's easy and it's so good for your soul and finally number nine nobody is perfect people are going to tell.

"Oh that's good i like that yeah there there there are moments but don't you think that's it's kind of with moments yes that's not getting on the poster but i i did come out thinking okay that's fine that's probably the end medical it isn't no we'll get your reviews which there are many may or bbc don't cut it you k eight five zero five eight on the text and if you just joined us you've missed drastic world interview chris pratt and bryce dallas howard good they were good and very detaining and you can get that on the coast of course if you have missed out poke cost will be available shortly after the show concludes for clock and they also missed out on my verdict on the film which is very pleased ended on with moments i'm gonna that's now mike catchphrase you're gonna quote that back 'em like quote yourself anyway i was pleased with as as i heard it for the first time and now i'm very pleased with it chain hoy i'm the first two that i love the dressing pug films happy memories of seeing the first one with family and then friends on some my earliest soto outings to town i loved it maybe because i wasn't expecting much in going out of oil ty but i was pleasantly surprised it was pacey good set paces few jumps what more do you want from dinosaur film the seat in mazey's bedroom was fab it had the quality of thank but the best thing the female characters went pelting around the rugged countryside in killer hale and they and they do it is sort of clearly done as a guy when you first when you first introduced to it it's like a shot of her feet isn't it because coming in lift and there's outright.

"Image whenever you bring in maybe you have a very direct to anna franchise is a fight between the two of them and it's which one is going to come out on top so when it's duncan jones eighteen warcraft is it more duncan jones or is it more warcraft and in the case of jordan vogt roberts doing kung scholar land is it more joel invite robots or is it more a great big king kong movie and i think this works out about thirty seventy percent fell about thirty percent felt like the movie that i wanted to be making seventy percent felt like the franchise the franchise needed so for example when chris pratt in she was talking about that there is more use of animatronic i mean in the i know there was some discussion before about the animatronic inverted commas of jurassic world who they really are very very few of them are just saying that to make it feel more physical i felt that as i felt with the other one the effects done well i do believe that those creatures running around only few moments in which it looks to me like okay we're in a cg world i've kind of got used to that now because with this fall down the line with addressing but i know long ago into jurassic park maybe wondering where they're gonna make me convince about dinosaurs i mean i remember saying jurassic park the first time and thinking wow that's dinosaurs running around and also thinking that the first you're part was really scary in places i mean the scene with the raptors when they're in the kitchen is really scary it's kind of up there with the you know the key moments of joe's and so you know that stuff saying it's very special okay fine we kind of expect that as far as the stories concerned it makes no sense whatsoever there's an interesting flip which is this time and it's in the trailer says rescue up to save the dinosaurs from an iron that's about to explode what could go wrong okay so that's the flip they've changed the two central roles of the two central characters again is brought that was how it said in that interview but that's kind of aids it's like okay now we're going to go back to the island to save the dinosaurs but it's no surprise.

"Chris pratt bryce us how it took about dressy what i should say just after that you went to vigo mortenson at the end poetry yeah and they were having as they left the room and the thing that we didn't catch was chris pratt saying to bryce out everyone on the set knows you'll gonna make great director i mean it was clearly the way she talks as you could hear around two dads question this is something that she's thought about a lot yet adding chris's opinion it's what she's going to do and everyone knows that she's going to be fantastic great anyway dress it will pull in kingdom loads and loads of correspondence which will get to the other side of the news now because marks this decide so i went into this with probably a higher expectations and perhaps i should have been because i'm a huge fan of jiba you know he meant most kohl's he made the orphanage you like impossible very much so deny he somebody's demonstrated that he's able to balance effects and story and i think the moments in jurassic world fallen kingdom when it works best on the moments that you feel are the things that interesting they're chris pratt saying you don't you don't plant flowers to grow you dig for the gold while also think that he he's digging through look there are moments that look really important in this one moment you and i were talking about this before we show there's a nas ferrall to moment in the which is actually really good there is a sequence in it in which all that stuff that by ona does well which is kind of gothic and it's chilling and it's related to history of horror and it's to do with children and childhood fantasies that sort of stuff all those moments come together in one particular saying in the phone which i don't want to spoil for anybody but it's you'll you'll recognize this very very deliberate nod to nas ferrall too and it's done very well and when i look at that moment in the film i think that's really what i want from the whole of the film inevitably you don't get that what you get as a franchise blockbuster.

"Entertaining j moments this franchise is obviously taken the turn of being one two steps away from like shark nato right we camp yeah so like if that's the case and you just accept that they don't really have much reverence for the original for the first film and they're just going to they're basically going to be like diners dinosaurs would fucking lasers on them yeah beats doesn't go to the craziest shit like the fast and furious approach in what the first three movies were about pivot right rugs that has your favorite actor ever chris pratt until the croissant i don't dislike him as an actor i i actually i think it's james gunn that i don't like more as as as directing him see it's the chris pratt in even in the jurassic park movie he was better as like kind of like a long before he was more of a dude and starrewards leg of east to like bitchy like like blue comes to help so i guess it's going to be the movies a rescue mission they gotta go back and save it looks like it's a rescue mission is start to save these dinosaurs because they want to save a few species to continue them but then these scientists wanna make them into weapons and they create another fucking hybrid dinosaur just like the first one this one's like and this one is scary as hell and they got to get the old dinosaurs it's basically a buddy cop movie with chris pratt and velociraptor.
