The Most Rewatchable Films Off All Time!

"I asked all of you to pick five of your most reliable movies even as I'm here now. I'm thinking of other movies that I would have put on my list to Adam do you want to kick us off with one of yours absolutely? My number five is more of a movie. Batman begins and for me. That's because it has a four x structure James Unconventional. It basically created the modern superhero movie. It was the one that I think we all wanted and they finally figured out how to make it. And there's really no downtime. There's a little bit once once. The Second Act ends Bruce's coming back from being a Ninja. There's a little bit of time but even then it just keeps going well. I think that's part of it too. It feels like the movies constantly restarting like. It doesn't lose the momentum that you got from the last thing. But if almost feels like buster scruggs like it's like and now a news story in this world you love except that it it still builds on the stakes of the previous one. So yeah you have the beginning and you have what you have him going going here. It's Ninja Studies. But then flashback of him as a kid. Yeah and then but then it goes then it goes all right now. He's back in Gothenburg. There's more to this than just him being Ninja. It's him in Gotha somewhere between forty five minutes. An hour between forty five minutes in an hour until he becomes Batman Which is the that is. The best way of doing every other version has been high and Michael Keaton. I'll be Batman today. I hope you enjoy the film kids and then it just there. It's interesting that you liked that because I feel like mostly my gripe with a lot of Origin movies is. Oh you're it's the wait to get to that point and you're like just have them be it already. I think is Batman begins it so well and it had not been done before other than you got taste of like in the animated series and. I think it was like fracturing. This is on the tip of everyone's talking about if you if you just did a few things man and then they'd knocked it out of the park and it was. It's so damn good. I think that that's like probably the one Batman movie other than the dark night but dark knight even a watch. Jerry the Was He the joker parts. But like Batman begins. I love from beginning to end. See I know. I've definitely seen dark knight more than I've Seen Batman begins. I saw dark knight three times in the theater rich but I understand the news. Twelve years ago cheaper. I understand the difference that you're expanding because they think dark knight is one coherent story. That is just snowballing. Whereas Batman begins is like like you know these restarts again and again and it's way easier to be like I'm just GonNa Throw Him Batman begins and watch it. Yeah and infielder and tear to your point at least taking awhile. I think probably because audiences were ready for this. It's more satisfying when you get to Batman instead of just getting right away like you learned to appreciate it like you go. Oh this journey because remember. There's a guy who worked at the time he's like why has Bam Entry Ninjas stupid as a 'cause he trains jerk compelling to watch as well a lot Lindsey one of the movies on your list. I actually knew this was one. Eight year your. He's talked about buying definitely easy to put a Christmas movie on like a Rewatch ables list of because you have the opportunity every year to have those feelings and this is my number one holiday. Christmas rewatch -able movie. I watch it every year. I made you guys all watch it and put it. I bought it on Amazon Prime. Tell me lousy with the movie watcher itself. Oh thank you you never said the movement. Sorry I have eyeballs. Oh a lot of lead up and then you're GONNA build fit. I thought it was building to James. Caan you're a big fan of and the actor who played the kid overall favorite movies. Now I love it so much. Because it's it's that feel-good movie I mean it's a holiday movie so that's like Bilton but it's just really funny Yeah Yeah it's a great holiday comedy. I I remember walking away from this movie and being like I like the two thirds of it and it's charming guy. That's and that's why we're lucky that we have a will. Ferrell holiday movie. That isn't Daddy's home. Two good that we have this they were GONNA call that. Daddy's homer Yeah L. Flake. I think you hit the nail on the head with Chris Movies They. They need to be engineered for that. Yeah because that's the sign of a good lasting. Chris movie like home alone. I've seen more times than I can say to. The it's Christmas story marathon. I was GONNA say as long as it's better than a Christmas story and kids have to grow up watching that anymore. Oh God yeah. So here's the I think the interesting thing about a Christmas movie is that it should be about more than just. Christmas is like hard about Christmas. But it's about way more than just Christmas. Yeah like family. You kinda reunited so it's it's a from a different time when you could. You could mock little people. Yeah well That man went on to be tearing Lancaster. And what have you done with your life me not a lot not a lot. James. You hit the nail on the head with twenty years. I've seen this movie a billion fucking times gladiator. Yeah Wow yeah well. It's because there are lots of obviously we could see the movie. Certain people were putting in and stuff like that but I was like. I was like well action movies. Sometimes there's an action movie that you can watch and of course there's dumb ones like you can put any dumb silly action. Movie that's digestible on there. But gladiators like an epic and I couldn't imagine watching an epic scale movie historical epic type movie like this over and over again but gladiator. I have like I remember. I was in a Latin class in high school and the teacher didn't care at all about teaching and would be like We're GONNA watch gladiator. Nice it's like we're gonNA teach you about gladiator classes and long enough to watch all gladiator. Come back the next time says. When do we stop and then you go? I think it was what he was fighting the goals. Which is like the first fifteen minutes of the movie go? Okay you'd start there wouldn't finish and then you'd you'd end up watching gladiator again and again. I watch gladiator in two different classes in high school. That's pretty good But yeah it's just like I just think it's so digestible when you think about some of the other movies in this genre it's like exodus gods and kings and like like these big scale historical drama pieces and stuff just didn't none of them. None of them are is fun is gladiator is in my opinion. It's a dense movie. It's also covers a lot of ground here. there's not a lot of misunderstandings two and half hours pilates two and a half hours but like kind of like we're saying about some of those other movies it like has several start. It's like okay. Well there's the beginning part of the movie Where he's he's soldier but then there's the part where he's training and then there's the part where he's leaving rebellion and like it so there's all these like restarts and stuff. Yeah I honest I still think this is one of walking penises best performances and I feel like it's a role that you would never see him again. Oh Yeah Russell. Crowe no keep Russell Crowe. I'll never liked this ever again. Heartthrob Sexy Action Lead Caesar Cut. I've never seen this movie. It's real good yeah. He didn't joy in a lot is like I'm going to say that a lot about some of the films early. It's okay I mean if you ever wondered we're doomed got his mask from. You should watch glad I will watch a lot of these movies. I'm sure but yeah no. I Love Gladiator. It's pretty it's weird because it was one of one best picture and like people in hindsight were like really gladiator. And I'm like yeah because it's just because it's like a popcorn action movie doesn't mean it doesn't deserve the acclaim. It

"And I think that at every movie now on Craig's just be doing the crispy Deep Fried of southern accents because he was just having a blast in this movie. Asthma's everyone I just really enjoy to see this entire casts riffing and having the greatest time and I do agree to with Some brats criticism I do some of the The social mass shootings little on the nose. I think it works for for the most part but it was kind of a little. Just they hammered a little too much at times but I just really enjoyed it. And how like visual leads fun. It was so oh yeah knives out good movie. I want to respond quickly to the social sector. I think it works really well in the movie But I also want to point out that with Brian Johnson. That ran on this podcast. He talks about how he wanted to create a film that felt like a period piece Before it could be a period piece so if People Watch us in twenty here's a can meet and say Oh nineteen same week watching movie and say nineteen thirty six so I think the social stuff works if you look at that and maybe I'm being weird nothing right. It's a long lens to it. Yeah yeah no I I can appreciate it. I think it's just the way that it comes up in a couple of scenes just feels shoehorned in there But at the at the same time my I do forgive it to a certain extent simply because those conversations do arise in family conversation and so it's not as if it's not natural as far as the characters are concerned but the way it comes about in the movie just feels like Whoa that came out of nowhere. Yeah all right. So let's see. What else do we have me and Brad and Chris I'll watch a beautiful day in the neighborhood What are you guys talk about this? When i Chris what did you think about this This is again again. Another thing I saw at T.F. My wife wanted to see so we we saw over the Thanksgiving weekend. Too and It's it's very good. I actually liked this more this time than I did when I saw a tip I didn't hate it tip. I thought it was kind of average but I kinda liked it a lot more this time. I do think the script is really like on the nose at times and I'm not really as wrapped up in the story of the the cranky journalist as I think the movie wants wants you to be but Tom. Hanks is so good at playing Mr Rogers and he really nails like the way. Mr Rogers talked. That really like softspoken okay. He really gets that down really well and he makes the movie really. Were saying Brad. Would you think yeah I liked it a lot you it's It was a little more odd than into speeding Almost quirky in a way. Because it's not your traditional bio pic and the way it's framed has done so oh as if it were like an episode of Mister Rogers but we were there telling the story of this journalist and how he met Mister Rogers and I wasn't expecting that and it was a little bit I Dunno disorienting at first but I I appreciated the crap that it went into especially the way they utilize the the Diorama set from Mr Rod original show and at a certain elements to it that it was a nice touch and it was refreshing in a way that it wasn't just your typical biopic pick. I think Tom Hanks outstanding. In this movie i. It's interesting though because I don't think necessarily does this perfect impersonation ah of Fred Rogers like Chris talked about like the way he talks and he he does speak very well Mr Rogers but it's not this impersonation he more so just captures. Sure the spirit and has a little bit of the way that Fred. Rogers used to talk as far as his dialect is concern But I I was really impressed is by house smitten. I was with that performance. Despite that there's there's almost something about Tom. Hanks is extremely kind. Is that really reels those UN and like it makes what he says. Mr Rogers hit that much harder In your heart and like he he just has the most calming like beautiful expression on his face. Just the way he looks You know Into the other characters is and that's what made it so touching to me and there are so many scenes that I was surprised. That kind of got me emotional about it but yeah so it's it's a great movie. I think I liked it more than I thought that I would before reasons that that I wasn't expecting interesting. Yeah I found it to be kind of a middling movie with a great ton hanks performance I thought he is absolutely the reason to see this thing and and like Chris wasn't nearly as wrapped up in the Journal Story. And frankly any time Tom Hanks was not on the screen icon. Like almost almost lost interest in the movie and was just sort of like looking at my watch and waiting for Tom Hanks to come back because he is so compelling in that role and the rest of the movie movie around it just feels very run of the mill and and sort of Like you've kind of seen the story before and it's not a very visually dynamic movie and even the drama that plays out is not like a particularly new or or it didn't strike me as as super interesting so it was more just like a showcase for yeah. I thought the movie was more of a showcase for Tom. Hanks is Mr Rogers. And I think you guys are really like nailing the fact that he's captured the the spirit of Mr Rogers without doing an impression and like the the voice work and all that stuff. I thought it was more about the speed of Mister Rogers than anything like. That's the fact that Tom Hanks speaks so slowly. And deliberately in this fast paced world that we live in right now like just the fact that he seemed to really take his time. And you know to speak And think about what he's saying it's IT forces you as an audience member to slow yourself down a little bit too and and the AH I duNNO I. It's tough talking about this movie in the wake of the Mr Rogers documentary that came out. What was that last year the year before? Because it's really it's not the same story but the Mr Rogers of it all is kind of it kind of gives you the same feeling and to see if to me. The documentary is so much more powerful awful in that way because it's actually him and the emotions that he's able to elicit from people Especially at the end of that documentary. There's this moment where basically you just see like a bunch of talking heads like break down and cry because of this big moment of silence that that happens at the end of this movie and a Beautiful Day in the neighborhood tries to have its own version of that and it's just not nearly as affecting. I don't want to get into spoilers but people who have seen both projects probably known I'm talking about so I just thought it was that was kind of an Odd Choice But But Yeah Tom Hanks great in it and I think overall I enjoyed the movie because he was in it and I absolutely would not recommend it if he wasn't in yeah so Sort of a weird for me but that is a beautiful day in the neighborhood. It's in theaters right now. Brad I watched Claus on Netflix hike. Say Does that Claus Claus. I think the character refers to him as Claus at one point. Klaus okay So what did you think about this moments. An animated movie Chris talked about it. I think on the last water core that we did Brad would you think I was very surprised by how great this movie was I Yeah I think that Great Chris Movies are few and far between An animated Christmas movies maybe even more so because they often lean into silly slapstick stuff just for the kids. Don't really have much of an original story and this movie first of all. It has absolutely gorgeous animation and while it does have some comedy and an answer stuff. The kids will enjoy. I I love its approach to the mythos surrounding Santa Claus And how it creates sort of an origin story for him mm-hmm without being blatant about it not like like like guys. This is where Santa Claus comes about naturally. And there's a really clever way and this it kind of felt like On an old school animated movie for me in the vein of like a an American tail or something like that. It had a little bit of an edge to it and felt like it definitely kept grownups in mind. I wasn't made strictly cash in on kids. Who just want to go to the movies and eat popcorn and have a good laugh and Yeah I I really enjoyed the this'll the voice cast is outstanding. It's a very touching heartfelt story. Itis I I think it's I would say it's probably a new holiday favorite for me and easily early my favorite Christmas movies since probably Elf. Yeah Yeah I agree I I think I was. I saw the trailer for this movie and sort of rolled my eyes at it and I was planning on skipping it entirely because of all the reasons that you said about like typical Christmas movie stuff. Like modern-day Chris Movies are Yeah it good ones are really really tough to find but then Chris talked about it last week and said it was surprisingly good and I was like if Chris was won over by an animated Christmas movie on Netflix. I think this thing is going to be pretty good and I was surprised or not really surprised to find that. That actually was the case. So thank you Chris for that recommendation. I really really enjoyed this movie. I think the first five minutes or so I I my wife and I looked at each other and we kind of rolling is a little bit because some of the the comedy was like a little rough and the setup like getting that that main character Off Off on his to start. His journey was a little rough but within five or ten minutes it. It sort of quickly leaves that stuff behind and becomes this really really Gorgeous animated and yeah surprisingly Organic a retelling of the the Santa Claus origin story so Yeah highly highly highly. Recommend Claus on Netflix. Right now okay. So I watched unbelievable. The Limited series also net flicks. Has Anybody here seeing this. I feel like Peter talked about it at one point but I need to go back and listen his his water cooler entry on that. I don't remember if he actually finished the series but this is a mini series about a series of rapes in Washington and Colorado. It's based on a true story and it's all about these Police detectives who realize that these seemingly separate cases are all connected unreal. Seen this now nobody oh man all right well as you can tell from the subject matter. It's a little bit of a tough watch at times. There's some some pretty rough injury in there but I think this is. This is one of my favorite shows on TV of twenty nineteen. I think it's it's a tremendously organized and acted and directed series. Lethal Lisa Denko directed several episodes. It Stars Toni. Collette and Merritt Weaver and Caitlyn deaver and all three of them are really really great in it. Yeah like I said. It's kind of a hard watch. I don't necessarily know if I'd recommend like throwing this on with the family while you're hanging out a post Christmas or something but I think it's it's like a Varennes when they see us. It's a tough subject matter but I like essential TV so definitely only check that out if you if you have the stomach for it watch unbelievable. It's very very good. Has Anybody else. You're seeing queen and slim had a chance to see this one recently. Anybody no I WANNA I wanNA try to see. I haven't the time yet. Yeah so I found a lot to like in this movie I think it is. It's the directorial. Debut of Molina. soukous has directed videos and she directed the episode of Master of none. The thanksgiving episode of the I think it was the first season of that series where Lena weymouth breath comes out to her family. And Lena Co or I'm sorry. She wrote Queen and Slim and Manso comes in. She's making her feature director Auriol debut with this movie the and it's a very powerful story and it has some like incredible imagery and there's there's scenes where these two characters who are on the run because of a police shooting gone wrong situation man. It's it's so powerful in certain moments and the ending has has such like an emotional wallop to it. It's tough to talk about without spoiling. I'll just say that I recommend watching it and I also recommend trying to read as much criticism of it as you can buy a lot of the critics of color that are out there. Don't just take my word for it because I know there are a lot of Deford diverging opinions about this movie and its effectiveness and you know how it stands in the culture right now so I'm maybe I'll try to link to some of those in the show notes just to to give people a jumping off point but Queensland is in theaters right now and I would recommend watching it. It's it's a very powerful movie. I also had a clue for the first time. This is the you're this come out in Nineteen seventy-one movie by Alan Jacob. Akuila stars Jane Fonda and Donald Donald Sutherland Jacob. The seems like it would be something that you would like including a clue is one of those movies..

"You don't need the Christmas. But so you're almost suggesting that a Christmas movie is not as good as a normal movie. I think that once you really want you take into account and movies that are fundamentally about Christmas in fall under my admittedly, positive crazy definition of what a Christmas movie is there, aren't that many great Christmas movies? I think there are a lot of comforting Christie movies. A lot of really lovely Chris movies library, fun Christmas movies, but very few of them have any interest in being great movies. They want to be comfort food which is fine of this season that that's what we want. We want something pleasant to enjoy with our families. So I get it. But I only need one hand and to count like, maybe the Chris movies. I think are legit great films. Whereas I would need, you know, a couple dozen hands account. The great movies are set Christmas. How crazy how crazy am? I. Chain black is going to hear this podcast and weep somewhere. I feel like those Charlie Brown, I guess are those movies or TV specials special. I mean that that the Charlie Brown Christmas has to be a Christmas thing. It's it's literally about Christmas. You can't remove that. No one's arguing Matt right way. I got one what about the nightmare before Christmas movie, man? Now, that's a Christmas. The Hollywood is about Halloween conquering Christmas now hallway was better than Christmas movie. All around it starts on Halloween is over Halloween. His ended when that movie starts a can't be a Halloween movie to still abrasion of Halloween in about how Christmas is never gonna fill. Woo. We're up we're up in Washington a couple of Washington state stations. And also diehard is the favourite of Wisconsin. What's up Wisconsin as well? As missouri. So missouri. Washington state of Wisconsin love die hard, and the one that surprised me though, is that Batman returns. The Tim Burton version of Batman the second. Tim Burton Batman movie. That's the number one in California. And Florida John many think about that. I didn't see that one coming. Is it a warm weather thing that they did like that movie? Now that's a fair question. But it'd be two of our biggest our number one state by population. I think number four think Florida's number four. But I think also he's Batman returns Louisiana's also Batman begins, which I I don't even think of that as a Chris movie, although technically does have a whole Christmas snowing vibe, it's a very dark film, by the way. I remember seeing it remember the penguin wants to like March all the children of Gotham into into the icy sewer system, and it was pretty it's pretty rough the nightmare before Christmas is is a movie that people like in the south west. "Six. Oh one. Oh. All right now. It's time for the dip recruiters smartest fan of the week. This is Josh book the super cooter. Smartest fan of the week. My favorite member success. Is Matthew berry, and it's not because of his mediocre fantasy advice because he too is a champion of the truth diehard is Christmas and fantastic on it that also shouts. My fellow colts fan to Rica back to the show show guy is truly smart as fan of the week that might be smart as fan of the year that guy that guy might be smart as fan of the century right there. That guy's a genius. He was lying fine. You what can I say today? Matthew berry to like me. Okay. I'll say this. I don't believe it. But I'm gonna say I look at the response by calm everyone agrees. What did you disagree with divine? I'm sure you read it what you. Yeah. Okay. So then it's fine. What's what's your big one? Gimme one big arguments to die not at Christmas movie. We one I'm not getting in summer. That's what it is. Like Chris movies come out doing Christmas? You don't know other traditional Christmas movie is released during the summer thirty miracle on thirty second. I got it. Okay. So we're talking, and I understood when you were in college, and you went to go see miracle on thirty fourth street. Like that was a thing back in the day all argument against finally just click with defined. She finally understood what I said that I got. Got it. Laughed. But because that was funny. I I'm so tired of but release the release date thing. It's just such a baloney argument because it's like in terms of again, you know, Star Wars released around Christmas pitch for three was released on Christmas last year. The movies and that Christmas time with all the family any movie that takes place over Christmas. Time counts. Chris what you're saying? Here's what I would say. I think the argument about whether diehards crisp of you're not as much less about the release date much more about like, hey, typically, the tenor of a Christmas movie is like uplifting in family of fair and giving gifts or telling a family tales, like not like a movie involves blood in like some level of violence, like whether you know like or anything, right like mushy. You know what? I mean. Let me ask you this. Harry Potter are all eight of the Harry Potter films Chris movies because they do take place during the Christmas season. No, I don't think they are. But. But the reason is. They're wondering. Done with this conversation because you have nothing to contribute to it moving along here. Let's continue with they don't have the themes of anyway getting riled up. I just I'm just pushing these drink anyways here eagle. We should we should just at this for the last week of the season. We should just Kathy Lee and Hoda. Yeah. Whatever wines or whatever like like feel you're not of age yet. But for me, it's defined Daniel that can legally drink like, yeah. Like what Kathy Lee and Hoda are like the like the patron saints of you know, like what's a I'm trying to think of somebody broke barriers. You know, the guy the Jackie Robinsons of drinking television. Somebody who. Time. I'm like anyway, trying to take hard. Good example, that wasn't a -fensive Ramya mean like because it's a joke anyway. So what you're saying? Anyway, I will consider Kathy Lee and Hoda it for like the last week. Yeah. Craft beers to find you with his wine Margaritas Margaritas. That's pretty good actually wrong. Like come on like you. I'm more Margarita not an excess. Like, you have a mortga Rita like you'd have like twelve years in a day. No. I suck those down. Like, you have no idea gallons, and you guys can just drink that like, milky consistency. Nog all long guy. Moving along. Here eagles go to Los Angeles to play the Rams big game on Sunday night for the.

"I get why that's a comforting thing to do. But they're not Christmas. So for you, the bottom line is if you could remove Christmas from the movie, and it would still be basically the same movie, it's not a Christmas movie. That will be my definition. Yes, doesn't mean you can't enjoy those movies at Christmas time. But I do think that the average Christmas movie tends to be not very good for this reason. Like diehard of the great movie, it's better than pretty much any other Christmas movie out there. But like four street the original one from the forties. I adore that movie. It's wonderful and lovely maybe high watermark. What a Christmas movie can be. But if you Chris win the movie in hard thing falls apart is built on a foundation of Christmas and the holiday season whereas diehard like we discussed earlier office party. You don't need the Christmas. But so you're almost suggesting that a Christmas movie is not as good as normal movie. I think that once you really want you take new movies that are fundamentally about Christmas in fall under my interleague. Poppy crazy definition of what the Christmas movie is there, aren't that many great Christmas movies? I think they're alive comforting Christian movies. A lot of really lovely Chris movies library, fun Christmas movies, but very few of them have any interest in being great movies. They wanna be comfort food which is fine with this season. That's what we want. We want to healing pleasant to enjoy with our families. So I get it. But I only need one hand and to count like, maybe the Chris movies. I think are legit great films. Whereas I would need, you know, a couple of dozen hands account the great movies that are set Christmas. Crazy. How crazy am? I am. I. Chain black is going to hear this podcast and weep somewhere. Like, I feel like those Charlie Brown. I guess are those movies or TV specials? Specials. I mean that that the Charlie Brown Christmas has to be a Christmas thing. It's it's literally about Christmas. You can't remove that. No one right way. I got one. What about the nightmare before Christmas movie, man? Now that's Christmas. But the Halloween is about Halloween conquering Christmas now hallway was better than Christmas movie. All around it starts on Halloween is over Halloween is ended when that movie starts a can't be Holly movie still operation of Halloween about how this isn't that Christmas is never gonna fulfil. You bean will always be there for you or Christmas lets you down spiral them. Ground of your slave shot down worthless. Going Christmas is a worthless holiday Halloween. Over christmas. Well, this took a dark turn. About Hanukkah movies. I'm sure there's lots of listeners that there that are disagreeing with everything that's being said on this podcast. Yes. And then number one is Scrooge d-, which is very. Yeah. Nine hundred ninety eight and that isn't Scrooge d-, basically, the for the grant but human version, none. Oh, no. It's like the Christmas. Carol. Scrooge. Oh, that's. What it is. Not Grinch grinches. Dr seuss. That's a lot of the stuff. Right. "You're watching looney his feeling joining. No good. No more. What's wrong with frizz? But he does not have Chuck John. Magic is very weird story where like the Grinch is like he wakes up and he's happy. And then he talks himself in the mirror and his reflections. Like, you're a terrible. Awful. And so then he's driving around and the cats car he's having to picnic cars kind of in the road. And so then the Grinch decides destroy is. Pretty good. That's three, but that was the Grinch driving a car and stuff. It was a car thing school and check out for me. Weirdly, drives it's It's gonna. gonna. I don't know. I just he lives in a cave, but his apartment. And is this in the future? Like he's claimed his life. He moved out of whoville wasn't. I know with the Christmas thing, I should probably just move away. Yeah. Yeah. I did steal before. I brought it back. It's weird that they didn't start over gonna going to be weird. You say you forget me. Yeah. I lived in an apartment. Yeah. He's good too emotional. Did you just skip the Halloween one because it's not Halloween anyway, listen to one the Grinch grinches. The candy. So bad and stay focused fine and the Halloween one will come on. But I'm gone. Staring at the floor. Can't do it. I don't know what. In the apple. So now, I try and catch it when the real grant ends and nights, turn it off flip something else. And always like, it's not over MC. No, no. It's over. Doesn't work anymore. It's amazing. Yeah. Different different voice Grinch. Nobody wants that. No blue here that Cumberbatch wants that. No. And I feel like I have to see it. I have to see that. Because it's a new Christmas. Yeah. I'll watch it on dumping. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I I mean, we might take him to the theatre whatever for like a, mommy and me or something, you know. Because Walter still still too small to not screen throughout the whole. I write the stroller screenings or whatever. Yeah. I'm waiting for the right time to start watching the movies because I burned myself out on October by starting early some like waiting for just the right time to dive in. "Let's talk about Santa Claus in the Christmas chronicle, so the Chris's chronicles we got every week. We do a Netflix something, you know, how do you not there? So like, it's so profound. So there's so many. It's so yeah, it's so yeah. I mean, it's rate there and the thing about Netflix is a couple of things one. They're putting out good stuff too. It's so easy to consume and readily available in three audience and everyone in between everybody has Netflix. Yeah. Like, everybody has Netflix. So you talk about it. And Netflix is like it's Netflix every whose not paying ten ninety nine or whatever, you know. So does the world need another Christmas movie? I thought the same thing like do we need to go here again? But then again. Yeah, it does because I think every generation. And when you look at generations, let's say generation is like, I don't know five years. Right. You know, you're looking at like, well, of course, you have the classics only way back, but we'll skip those for now. But if you look at something like the Santa Claus, right? And then you move into like elf. And then you move into like this one. Now, you know like the Christmas chronically or even a Christmas story like maybe what was that like late eighties or something? I forget, right, right. Yeah. I mean, like every five years you come out with or you know, the Hollywood comes out with like a Christmas movie of that like age group. Let's see. What's yours? What's your favorite from your nostalgia point of view? I think Christmas story is awesome. Because that was my childhood grownup. Yeah. I think Christmas vacation for me Christmas vacations. A good one. Yeah. And there's another one, right? Like every few years, you get a new crop of people who got left out of the last one, right? Because like, I think what happens is Christmas has a small window. So you have like childhood when you do believe in Santa maybe I should say that too loud. The boys might here. But but no you have childhood when you do believe in Santa. And then you have like adolescent when you're like to cool for Santa, right? And then you swing back around to maybe like your early twenties or something or mid twenties when you're like, well, no Santa's cool again. Right. And he's not I know he's not real. But like it's cool again. And then all of a sudden you become a parent. So like every few years there's like a milestone at somebody's life in those movies touch on wherever you are in that milestone. Right. And I it's so funny because the Santa Claus movies the whole series. It's one of ants favorite and our kids nine and. Twelve you know, they're they love them. So we watch them every season we love Arthur Christmas. So we definitely have our movies that we watch every Christmas, and we kind of add to them so funny because and isn't a big fan of Christmas vacation. But I don't think I've even tried to watch that with her because we have so many other holiday movies with the kids. So because it's not a kids friendly movie. We don't end up watching it as often as the rest. Well, that's because. But this one looks pretty family friendly. It's and it has it has this beautiful legacy, sell it. Oh, I don't know the Harry Potter and all that it's a Harry Potter and home alone produced it. Oh, it's like how how could you get a better pedigree than these two franchises of home alone? Another one that. Yeah. That's like kind of their. Although that's sort of Chris. I mean it is Christmas. But it's not. It's definitely Chris movie. It's not traditional Christmas though. You know what? I mean. I did I did forget and favored Chris movies away is also one of my favorite Chris movies. Can you guess, well, my favorite all-time is it's a wonderful life. But ours is diehard. I would never have guessed. Die hard was released in July. I believe was it really. But because it takes place around Christmas time, it is become a very beloved Chris movie, regardless of what Bruce Willis says. That's the Lurs says it's not a crisis movie, but he's not he's not the boss of me. That's right..
