"Chris Middleton and brook Lopez, both under contract, both extension eligible. I would imagine that if Middleton is willing to take an extension, they probably do it. I guess it's possible they could look into like a one year extension for brook Lopez, but to me, this is all about accentuating your core if you're the box and just hoping that you're healthy next year for the playoffs. Yeah, I'm with you. I don't think there's much to talk about with them. I think they bring back obviously the primary core. I don't think there's a lot of wiggle room to do much. They're my pick if everybody's healthy to win it all next year. And I mean, for them, they got the 24th pick. I would go straight upside with that. If I were them, I wouldn't, I guess this is where it gets tricky. If you could flip that into a ready now player to add to your rotation. It makes sense, but I also think if I were Milwaukee, I would just take a high swing on a guy just in case, like kind of like a warrior situation. Obviously they're not getting as high a pics, but you may be hope that this guy is better quicker than you think, or you have just some type of like light down the road. So what I would do if I was them, I think that the magic would like to move into the first round using 32 and 35. If I'm the box, I would rather have 32 and 35 than 24, I would move 24 for 32 and 35, get two swings that guys that frankly for me are in the same tier. For Orlando, they have so many young guys consolidating 32 and 35 into one young guy that they really like or maybe like a little bit more. Plus getting the extra year of team control is a little bit more valuable for them than 32 and 35 are for the bucks having two swings at potential minimum level players, rookie minimum level players where that saves them quite a bit of tax money, plus you get two swings on potential rotation players down the road. I think that's actually a really valuable thing for Milwaukee and that's what I would do if I was them on draft night..

"If the bucks have been healthy, if Chris Middleton had been healthy, the bucks probably are in the finals instead of the Celtics. That's not a knock on the Celtics. Every season has things that happen. Every season has injuries, you acknowledge them, you don't asterisk them, but you acknowledge them. And if you're the Celtics and you're a realist and I think Brad Stevens is a realist, you say, well, we might have gotten, you know, had a couple of fortunate turns there. What do we need to do to make sure that we can beat them at full strength? And better playmaking, fewer turnovers, more easier shots. Yeah, those things could matter. And I've not suggesting for a minute now nor have I previously that it's about trading markets smarter giving up on Marcus smart, it's just the idea that I don't know that we have proof that he is your best option as a full-time point guard. What proof do you need? They were in the finals. What more proof do you need? And when push came to shove and things got really tight against a really great defense, they're throwing the ball all over the place and stagnating and not able to run an offense. That's as much Tatum in brown's fault that it is Marcus. That's just as much taven Brown. Tatum had the most turnovers of anybody ever in the playoffs..

"But that top 6 of the rotation fields as stable as it has in forever for any theme, like you said, other than Al, they've all got multiple years beyond this year. It's not just that it's this year and that it feels pretty stable from that standpoint. It's like, oh no, all these guys are unfair contracts for multiple years to go. They're all the right age, they're all sort of that. So yeah, it seems super stable. Right. It's just like, it's a matter of, yeah, you have those conversations about agreeing at point guard or whatever, but then it's like, okay, what makes more sense? Is it using our tools to add to these guys? Or is it risking making a bigger impact move involving smart or horror unfortunately that? And I think it's clear, I imagine they're pretty clear cut there that that's the former. And it's just a matter of like, okay, you were two games away from winning an MBA championship. And your bench looked pretty shallow at the end. And so you have plenty of ways to kind of help yourself on that front rather than doing anything that could really rock the boat. Yeah, and not only were you two games away from the championship, you were even though there are people who will be like, well, they wouldn't have made it through round two. You get a lot of that. They wouldn't have made it through round two if Chris Middleton were healthy and they're not this good thing, but it's like you can go screw the best game in the Eastern Conference for like months before they got to the playoffs. They legitimately made it to the NBA Finals and they were minutes away at the end of game four from having not insurmountable, but significantly in that series. They could absolutely have won the title. And the fact that they could have lost in round two, like congratulations, the bucks could have lost in round two last year, but they won the title. And also the tenor of, again, Brad's press conference today did not sound like somebody who's looking to make major changes or who wants to upend the style of play that got them there. He's talking about building on this style of their defensive solidity and how they have nowhere the fact that they don't have anywhere that can be attacked and they want to be adding to what they have now, not and obviously with the way that the finals went, they're looking for sort of an X Factor offensive player, I think, somebody that could do some things differently, some of that comes from experience..

Coming into that draft because they were like, oh, you know, he's just selfish, like he doesn't really pass the ball well. Catch up on him. We can't trust a guy like that. He's just a mid range guy. Gunner, but yeah. But like this was a real conversation with Jason Tatum coming into the draft. And I just, I feel like the more I watch jabari, the more I'm like, this feels like a similar conversation where the guards were not very good at getting him like the ball in good spots. Jabari doesn't turn, I think he just turned 19. He won't turn 20 until like the end of his first NBA season. So it'll be like, oh, Jayson Tatum is still 19 years old. At that point. He'll turn 19 items eternally 19. But like Jason Tatum was so young coming into that first year at duke and Jason Tatum and I think we're like undervaluing that jabari Smith is like what like a year younger than chat. And I think 6 months younger than Paulo, like he is earlier in his basketball development than these guys to a pretty substantial extent..

I agree with that. They've all been different. And I mean, I said it already in the show. I would not be surprised at all this films go in and win in Milwaukee. We know that they can win there. They've been in just about every game except game one. I mean, even though they were in it, they played pretty poorly. And tonight, this was when they got away. So if they put it this way, if they don't come out with an attitude and they don't come out with the mentality that they want to make up for what they just gave away, then they don't deserve to move on to the next round. If they go down in 6, they don't deserve to go on the next show. Because this is a very, in my opinion, this is a series that they should win this series. So I still think that they have a chance to win. And I still think they should win. But if they don't, anyone going to be surprised at this point, the way this series has gone so far, from back and forth. But I think that this Celtics team, when they're on, like they were tonight, can outmatch can outplay just about everybody in this league, especially in the east. So I think tonight's better representation of where this series can go, you know, you got 30 from January you got 30 from Brown, essentially, right? And those are the guys that are believing the way. And you did it all without Marcus smarts. If you can get smart back and even if you can give you 75% of Marcus smart, that's pretty damn good, you know, if you're the Celtic. So do I expect 20 plus point wins going forward absolutely not, but I don't expect him to come out as flat and as like, they just got pushed around a game one. That was my main takeaway from game one is they would just look like they were getting bullied out there at recess. And tonight they came back and they fought back. So I think tonight's a much better example of what you should see going forward. I kind of tend to agree too, and it's not like just a Homer take..

And so now he's going to take those shots. They don't really have a natural point if Giannis is having a rough shooting night or they've walled off the painter. He's got 5 vowels and he's afraid. He's not afraid. You know, there's some risk of him driving and picking up a 6 file at any moment. So I think that they'll end up with Grayson Allen. And like I said, I'm just sort of, I don't know what the answer is. I'm just interested to see if they go that same route and are like, nope, we put smart or Derek white on him, and we just try to immediately negate him and wipe that counter off the floor. Yeah. I think that will be a fascinating subplot to watch in terms of the strategy that he may handle that since you can make a case for it either way, but like you said, that if you can just take that X Factor out of the equation, then you can trust the rest of your defense. What is the game plan for Yas? In this series, I mean, versus the three point shooting of the box. Do you, will you answer this one? What's your game? My game plan is, I want to stop you honest. "So first, just give me, give me your biggest surprise in the Eastern Conference, Chris, I'm curious to hear that. Chris Middleton, my friend. For Christmas, and have love forum. We share a similar name, although his parents decided to go with the K, which little puzzling, but we'll let it slide. He's had like an okay season and it's weird because I think for me, I know I have a little bit of a preconceived notion about the idea that you want to see guys that are having like a career gear for me, it's like MVPs, I kind of feel that way about and it shouldn't be based on that. All star games certainly shouldn't. There's a reason that most improved is most improved. But Chris Middleton hasn't really improved this season. And really, to me, I think what stranger to me about a couple of these picks, if one guy's having a better year than his teammate, the guy that is not having the better you shouldn't make the team. And I think there's enough of an argument to be made with one of the other situations. I think you know which one I'm talking about. But I don't think there is one here. I think holiday has just been more consistent. And a little bit more integral to what they're doing and more important than what they're doing. Then Middleton has been Middleton this is like a pretty mid year by Middleton standards if we're just keeping it a buck. I think holiday has been a lot better than he has in a so I was a little bit surprised and let's mention too if we talk about the coaches getting this right. I looked at where the media and the fans had Chris Middleton ranked and it was like 16th and 14th or something like that among front court people. He was nowhere near where fans and media had him. You know, normally we're complaining about the fans. Normally the fans are complaining about us. We got it right. Fans got it right. Coaches, I don't know what they were doing, but yeah, this is not really like a year to really push for Chris Middleton. He would not have even been my next front court pick if we're keeping it up. No, he it wasn't stunning to me 'cause he's a previous time. I think it's made two all star teams in it too. But yeah, he wasn't even like he wouldn't have even been a snub for me. He wouldn't have been he wasn't really an honorable mention, I think, when we went over to teams in the past, the past couple of weeks, he just wasn't a serious candidate. The bucks are not at this juggernaut that deserves to all stars. If they did get to all stars, I agree with you 100% and all the numbers really back this up. The advanced ones at least that drew holiday has had a better season and is more integral and important to Milwaukee's success than Chris Middleton is. I was looking at estimated plus minus, which is catch all metric that it isn't the be all end all, but Chris Middleton ranks 64th in estimated plus minus this season. Drew holiday ranked 16th. And I have this other stat that I was looking up that really kind of clarified drew holidays place and two holidays defense also has just been completely otherworldly again..

"We saw an play with two duos so much of last season that if one of them goes down. That's the talent they have. That's the that really is testing. I think durant's talent 'cause.
