Maria, though, says the work is not done were relentless. And, uh, you know, when we say when you want to go home, we really really meant that You know, we want to keep playing baseball and we don't want this to be the far season. So you know, way took care of those three games, and now we got to take care of one more. You know, if you don't win that game, then it's all men. Nothing's tonight. It's gonna be a Lance McCullers junior for the Astros and Charlie Morton for the Rays. They both have Game seven experience the same game sevens. They both pitched for Houston Game seven of 2017 LCS against the Yankees. Morton got the win with five scoreless innings. McCullers got the save with four scoreless. The Braves and the Dodgers find us on Twitter. At MLB on ESPN radio, and as the Dodgers and Braves get set to play this game six, Walker Buehler will take the mound for L. A and her own John shop, he caught up with the Dodgers pitching coach Mark Pryor. Thanks Chris. Your Dodgers pitcher Coach Mark Pryor's We get ready for Game Six. All right, Mark, let's start with Walker Buehler. He gets a second started a Siri's tonight. Been bothered by some blister issues. Tell me what the status of that is. How deep can you go? And what's that been affecting? Well, I think the status is the same for you know, I guess a better part of a month, you know, gets a point. Ah for each game that it is good to go. You know, occasionally some of them can they get a little I guess Raw. And you know, that's usually the times we've, you know, We've taken him out a little bit more cautiously or preventatively, so it doesn't get too bad. And so that he's able to, you know, make his next start. Um, you know, but you know, we're banking on today. You know, he's going to go as long as you can go. I mean, I think You're in the situation that we're in and the circumstances, you know, he might not have another start, and so we're going to see how long he could go and we're going to ride him as much we can given what happened over, you know, last night and over the week, it seems like his fastballs had really good hop to it. It's just a matter of time, though, if he's not consistently able to locate the way you want. Yeah, I think that's fair, and I think it's a combination of You know, he does have a really good understanding of how to navigate lineups. And he knows on me doing that to, you know, not get hurt by the guys that you know you don't want to get her to or where he feels, Hey, could be a little bit more aggressive within the strike zone. And I think everybody knows this point of the season that You know, mistakes get amplified. You know, we've seen that in the series alone they haven't made. You know They haven't missed any of our mistakes on then a capitalize on so I think he's done a good job of knowing and not worrying about the Thie individual stat line as much of the world team style on trying to win ball games. And so he's done. He did a good job the other night. You know, I know it's increasing town, but he navigated the lineup. You know when we're in situations that put ourselves in a better situation to get out of it. So you know, walkers, you know, it is an immense talent and in one of the talents and feels that he has, you know his mental Capacity to take in a lot of information and really quickly and you know, that's what makes them special is what makes him who he is. How challenging is this? Braves line up? Your team scored the most runs in the majors, but they were one run behind this year. There's a lot of depth to it. And obviously some big boppers guys like Kuya, Freeman and Ozuna. Yeah, no doubt. It's it's a really good line up. Ah, I mean, it's It's one of the better lineups that I've seen in the last three years of being back at this level, you know, and what Freddy has been able to do, and then you got Ozuna behind him. On then, Ronald, coming out of the chute. First pitch. You gotta be ready to go. I mean, those top three alone, you know, will strike fear into you, But then you started getting down. You know, You know what? Our nose done, you know you get, you know, even Camargo got added later the roster for the injury. I mean, he's been a really paying to get out of stuff. You know, Pasha. I think everybody was expecting him or to be a defensive replacement. This year. The Siri's You know he's come in, and he has big kids. He's had a tough bastard. He showed a lot of a lot of promise of there there know, doubt, really, really be team. Very good offensive team and we knew that going into it and they nothingto, you know, make us think otherwise. You pitching a really famous game six in 2003, and you were absolutely brilliant. If you could go back and take something a piece of wisdom from that start and imparted what would it be possible? Any anything. Anything is possible, No matter how dire the situation is, for one team enough, Ah, no matter I'll close Maybe one team. I think they have anything possible and You know, and our guys have been through a lot of bottles before before I got here. And since I've been here, so last night was a lot of fun. You know, That's why we play the competitiveness from a player from a coach standpoint. Teams going back out at kind of a test match with bullpens, But at the end of the day, anything is possible. If we got to show up and everybody's gotta perform and do their job, I could do another 20 minutes, trying to unpack that answer. That was a wonderful answer. I want to be on the other side of it, That's for sure. I want to be on the other side of the 32 ones. I would love that if you're just tuning in. That was the Bartman game, and the Marlins went on to win it, Mark Pryor. Wish you the best of luck. Appreciate you taking the time to do this. Thank you Open for a little bit different fortunes this time around with the Dodgers and Walker Buehler on the mound, According to Elias Bueller's average of 15.9 strikeouts per nine would be a major league record for one postseason, topping Garrett Coles 14.7 for the Yankees earlier this year..

"It took it out of the ballpark. Shot with a go ahead to Ryan home ride. Sure, James continued to win after losing everyone's favorite bounty hunter Boba shit to a sprained knee, but they're undeniably better team with him. The shed's career line. The major stands at 3 23 with 3 56 on base percentage of 5 95 slugging percentage. One of the best 60 game starts you'll find from any fourth stop would have seen blasphemous to say this before 2019, but I think the chef has passed Vladimir Guerrero junior in the team's pecking order. I'm Chris Melanie. It's baseball tonight on ESPN radio and the ESPN app again first pitch between the Dodgers and the Astros about 30 minutes away. Follow us on Twitter at MLB on ESPN Radio this week. ESPN is Jeff Passan reporting a major league baseball has the framework in place for the postseason. Pending the approval of the players like everything else this year, it's been modified from what fans are used to. In addition to an expanded field, the league could be using a bubble format designed to minimize travel amid the pandemic. After the top four seeds in the A L A. N l hosted best of three. Siri's the division. Siri's would then take place in Arlington in Houston, Texas, in San Diego and Los Angeles. California League Championship Series would be in Arlington in San Diego with World Series starting October 20th and ending no later than October. 28th. In Arlington. Can it work? Well, let's get back to Roxy Bernstein and Chris Singleton to discuss All right, Chris. Well, both of these teams we're going to see tonight, singing on Sunday night Baseball. The Astros and the Dodgers are headed to the postseason. But a new format this year that everybody needs to get used to. The first thing is Chris. Eight teams from each league will make the postseason and it's going to be wild when we get to October baseball. Yeah, And I think when you look at it, I mean, perhaps a similarity to college basketball bracket in terms of what could happen, you know, in that first round and I think there are teams That are very good teams establish teams teams that are poised to go deep that are very concerned about early rounds, and you know the length or lack there off. Off that Siri's so you know, just talk about a wild card, Siri's and the fact that a three game Siri's You lose the first game like you're automatically up against the wall and a must win situation and you know, you really don't have time. It's sort of settle in. I think it's going to be exciting for fans to watch and see. I think it's going to be somewhat nerve wracking for managers and certain players. Well, the pressure that comes along with it for somebody like Dave Roberts, for example. If the Dodgers are the one seed in the National League. Well, if you drop game one, all of a sudden you're really gripping heading into game to knowing it's a best of three in the first round, and all you played for for the entire season could be gone. Absolutely and again when you are a team like the Dodgers that very well could finish the regular season ranked is the best team in baseball to know that Just like for instance, last night, the Dodgers lost a close ballgame that could happen on any given night against any team. And then all of a sudden pressure mounts and you're trying to figure out a way win the ball game. So I think we're used to when you're a good team and you finish on top. You're used to having the luxury off whether it's home field advantage, whether a lengthy Siri's just something to whereas you don't have to feel like You know you're a wild card and that you're you know, got a rabbit's foot in your playing for locking to see what can happen, but I think that's that's going to make it exciting for us. It's not going to make it so much fun for them. For the Astros. It might be right at the rally, considering all the injuries singing they've had to deal with this year. Yeah, and that's you know for them. They're really great team, obviously the best record in baseball over the past three seasons. They've had some injuries and been banged up, and they've also been under the microscope because of the No cheating scandal. So you know there's no question that they want to us quickly as possible. You reestablish in the minds of fans and everyone else that the World Series in 2017. Wasn't really a fluke or a cheat, that we're a good team, and you know we can win this thing. So there is perhaps a little bit of pressure there. But also you know, you got some guys particularly George Springer. That's going to be a free agent after this season and the way that this year has gone, I think there's some people they're just They're ready. If it's over, it's over If they could go deep, great. Well, we're still a couple of weeks away from getting to the postseason. A big one on Sunday night baseball Dodger Stadium tonight, the Astros and the Dodgers talked a little bit Chris back to you in the studio. Thanks very much, Roxy. Not much time left to jockey for playoff position in your fantasy Baseball league. Either. The guys from the ESPN fantasy focused podcast have a few names to keep in mind for your pennant run. Fantasy focus minute interest in a cod grab of Eric parable from ESPN Fantasy, talking about three players.

"Now. Yeah Yeah. And then he had to take a positive. Remember like Oh. Yeah I eat. That way or I, knew people who be that way I was friends with people who behave that way, or or I used to watch these movies in that is just an accepted Chris critique of that genre like apparently never there. I got to the point, I'm looking at it. I I I know I'm old, but I'm not a not old. That way I'm old in the you never to survive my house. Yet. ooh You bet you had appeared to be having the ability to use hands you. Our backyard. We live in the woods, man who? Ran Away. Out Your Roman so it all Yo Shit, you never would've all your on the cat. That wasn't threat. That was such a threat. I had a on my stop. One time all God. Oh, okay, but anyways. Yes yes, this isn't. Doesn't get episode yeah. I really enjoyed it. I think just like one episode. We haven't talked about human face. Yeah I didn't like that one. Even though I like the actress in it, I did like I felt like it. it. It buried the lead a little too much. Yeah! I didn't dislike it. I thought I thought the acting. was fantastic. I wish they had. I wish the point hadn't been what it was. I wish they had been going somewhere else with it. Not like Oh. Sorry, you're about to get right into that. Well I mean I. Find Prompt me. Okay, but I I feel like it was because when they started really getting okay. This is a family that's lost their child. And they talk around. The, the problems in their relationship. In, how they talk about that child, and what happened to that child and I was really fascinated by the slow Pulau and breaking down of what was wrong between the two of them and then you throw their, you know. You know the question is would it matter? Does the you know the face of your invader? Matter? Of course, it matters you. Go Jelly that good night you skip down the street or you run screaming. But I thought it was more about the difference in the dynamics of how people process emotion. And again it goes a little bit back to that whole the nature of relationships in the purpose of them in. What whether it's partnership if it's transactional is their dominant partners are You know they're submissive, partner the difference between being submissive and subservient. Where's the line? When when it was talking about all those different elements, and you start to get that and they were doing some real good parent digs 'cause. I was really having some mommy and daddy are fighting moments. And then it turned. To the creature in the basement. In they had kept maybe the creature more hidden if willing jaws like. That whole dynamic about the would, if of dealing with their issues, and there's also this problem in the basement. I think that would have been a better episode. If, they had all his dynamic that was going on with it. And then they either came to come somewhere solution bid dealt with what was down in the basement was in the basement wasn't really the issue. I think that would have been a better off. Yeah, that's the problem. Is that the invasion? Part of this is what attacked on a like? The, like the. So I ate like story is where we were there. It's a play on some sort of an invasion yet. Because I think invasion say more about us as humans than they do about our invaders. Is You know that's just? That's just what it is I just think it was tacked on, and it didn't have any like you said it didn't have any role in that in this particular story well. It wasn't. It wasn't that it didn't for me anyway not to speak for anyone else here. It felt like. They made too much of an abrupt. Jump. In the bathroom where she's totally glitch ing out and trying to figure out. How do I connect with the people who are behind this door? And you know you've got. You've got a Chris Melanie's character and I love him, and he's typecast and. I don't know if it means he needs therapy. But I don't I don't I don't like how easily he's a little too comfortable with playing kind of guy he plays, and I know it's because I know it's because his body shape in his energy, and he super aggro, and he's a different kind of alphabet, also same kind of. Falling into that, niche. So I really liked the fact that they played against pitting that against a much softer energy from also. A full tool actress. Who doesn't get nearly enough respect for what she does, and it's because she decided to be a blonde, and I blame her and I'm holding it against her because she makes an amazing redhead and Brunette or whatever. And The dynamic that was developed between them and develop between the creature. That was clearly you. You know in their house and. In his hardline angle if we have to stick with reality, we have here in the US versus them versus you know she's on the other side of you know, but this is an opportunity. This is an opening. This is a chance. And there was the one moment when it got at the end, or he was like you know, but if we open ourselves up to that motion if we'd love, they win and I was like damn it. Why did you have to say it out loud? I was perfectly okay with the way that they were leading them down the primrose path. That this was clearly, they were being invaded in taking over. But. I wish they had left that in the off to the side, so there was a moment where they just made too much of an abrupt shift And and I, and and I fell out of enjoyment with a human face. And it was over they go..

"To stay up to date on all the happenings in the wider world now, glossed over it, and they story moment ago, actually, I gloss over skipped over it of this whole thing started where we pissed them off. Right. The whole reason that they were obsessing over the camera in the first place, probably it probably would have made them angry anyway. But we're sitting there Chris ending up his camera just kind of messing with it. And here comes the bay Liffey please rise for the honorable judge. Whatever her name. Was and Ecorse. Chris Melanie, and I remained seated Chris began messing around with the camera so that he has an excuse Melanie was messing around with her phone looking down. I made I contact with the bailiff as he once again looked directly at us waiting on us to stand at repeated everyone, please stand for the honorable, whatever her name was. You're not familiar. This does not happen. Yes. No. So I just sat there making eye contact with them, like, what are you going to do about it? But the judge and her defense, she came out, she saw us seated and she smelled. She was not angry. She smiled at me. She smelled at Chris, and I think she at Melanie, she, she probably understood what we were attempting to convey, the bailiff did not. We had challenged his entire worldview by Saint staying on our asses, and he did not know how to handle it. So angry. Yeah. And I love being able to do that in New Hampshire, if you look back at the old free keen videos, you'll find times when judges of ordered everybody who doesn't didn't stand up to be removed from the courtroom. And the problem is some of us are Quakers and other things. I'm pretty sure the reformed church of Satan doesn't allow standing for judges and allows one to whatever they want to do well stand for the judges, they can. If one wants to remain seated they can locate. But the. The so there are K we need to get into the ice while their own by their own laws that you are not required to stand stand for the judge. And apparently, the judge knew that, and the bailiff did not in the bailiff snow by fought that issue over and over and over again..

"Couple more questions before we get to trivia, Chris Melanie j wants to know congress work on anything other than investigations. Oh, yeah. We're gonna have a government shutdown fight every eight weeks. Yeah. It's gonna be great. We're going to spend the whole year and the investigation. Why are we having this fight still if the president's already climbed down from the five billion because he climbed down into nothing. He climbed down into space where the military is going to build the wall or magic we'll build the wall or elves will build the wall Mexico. Don't forget Mexico. Only is Mexico's gonna pay for it. But Canada also is apparently going to pay for it. Because the wall will be funded by the great economy that we have as a consequence of NAFTA to electric Bigalow. It's going to be great. And all of that stuff. It's so funny because you have the one side that says, you can build a wall, but you can call it a wall, right? You're the other side of the says you can build a fence, but you have to call it a wall. And it's so dumb dumb. And it's so Washington, and what Trump is looking to climb into is the place where he can say I have built the wall and that enough of his supporters will go. Yeah. Not really, but good. I call it done. Like if this is good if he stops too soon that there will be too much bellyaching to his right? And that he will hear from people that he was soft on it's sort of like win if I'm icing a cake or doing something that requires any sort of Dexter. Charity, and I just get to a point. I'm like, I've damaged this thing as much as I possibly can I declare it frosted. Yeah. What's good enough? Good enough enough. Do you have any New Year's resolutions? And are there any aspirations outside our after your TV life? This is from Stephen Merckel. He.
