That was fascinating i never. I never had that. But i with what i knew about boxing. I wrote a short story called the ballot of the boxer. Okay and it talks about how it's a sport way different than i imagined. Emesa same young way different from your football basketball baseball right. I mean from college to the pro ranks and stuff totaling. You declare yourself pro. "Ash still come through from a pay NA role Chris Lebron's come from a completely different industry and size Bianca, and I think that's amazing that we've been with to really start from scratch and still build and high level of in a very short period at on. Absolutely, so you've been on the areas when his party for number of years now in marketing awards like one marketing campaign of the year and I think we spoke to you after that one. And like I said earlier, I've always been a big fan of your marketing. Have they been any standout campaigns fee? Yes. They have. We have simony that we're actually trying to work out how? Do we into one do we into mall but I think that Spain? The the passion that has we'd actually didn't enter campaign of the last g because we didn't have one that we felt talked the other ones that that are banning. So this year we were quite focused to win a couple of properties be present to us that we really thought about them quite carefully about how they could be potentially really great solution for the. We do have a couple and so really excited that we will do that again and I don't know whether I should give it away but anyway, everybody all night because if you just look look back through facebook things that we did a fantastic campaign beginning in the year, either the hedge which was for Heritage House. and. We just laid into that prior to Christmas with this as a campaign was a social campaign on instagram and it was just beautiful when it was just fun and we. We did allow usual things and we did a couple of extra. Innovation in terms of some of the technology that we used and it was just fabulous campaign, it's really just been lots of stories this year this being lots of really beautiful opportunities to tap into some great narratives and be really thoughtful and. It's just been a beautiful year of stories considering the that we've had maybe that's been part of it. I actually thought about that the other day maybe because this has been such is a challenging year for everybody we've all been challenged think about hyme and think about what's important to us that we really tapped into that in a lot of campaigns and and just in a thoughtful way, we would just mindful. Of It but it has resulted in some really beautiful imagery and really beautiful content that we've been I would say company with at properties. It has been interesting year for that because I think we've all connected with each other as humans much better than we did before and and there has been so many more stories to she really just on the whole stories of strength and courage in pivoting and also these. I think the biggest story. Is just the just tanning up know we just kept going didn't feel that we you know that that this would stop us in our tracks just of okay. WHOA. "Taking your questions your comments. Here we go. We've got a question here from Jay Strong 12 from YouTube says, why didn't LeBron guard Butler he kept switching. So J strong 12:00 on your question. Just shoot me a DM on Twitter. Send me your info. Send me your your your mailing address your email address. I will send you a lakersnation.com license plate frame. Why did not on guard Jimmy Butler or you can email me Trevor at medium large, All right. So Chris LeBron, even when he did switch on to Jimmy Butler he was getting Switched Off and if you noticed they were targeting Kyle kuzma trying to get kuzma and Butler they felt like that was a good match up but it felt like Jimmy Butler just kind of had to go and get didn't really matter who was guarding him tonight. I did not like at all birth. Lakers allowed kcp in particular to get onto Jimmy Butler at the end because that's a recipe for disaster. We've known that all season. That's not even okay for kcp to do that. So Chris. What were your thoughts? What do you do about Jake Butler? Well, all I know is I felt the exact same way you did is the only time I really got nervous about it is when kcpt ended up with them and just because it feels like a you know a mismatch. That's the best matchup. I think Butler can find out there outside of I guess Alex Caruso, even though Alex Russo such a tenacious Defender, but I think just size-wise. I think father might have it on him, but I don't know cuz LeBron quite frankly at certain points just defensively. I don't know if LeBron could have done much better. There were a lot of places where it looked like LeBron wasn't really on defensively either tonight despite, you know, just like I get off despite the fact that you have a triple-double and everything a lot of facets of his game just didn't see him on tonight. Like, you know, he started out I think pretty well in comparison to the rest of the team, but then like you said, it can be snowball and then it kind of snowballed into the bronze name.

"World is one place in the world you can get these is so we're in Oklahoma it's like a car restoration fantasy thing whatever and she owns it I presume but that's that's the only place in the world you can get one of these cars and she sushi so shelby she sued the shit out of them and one that's the crazy thing and she 'cause it's copyrighted as a character and as I oh, God, that is so fucking interesting. Dude like that. So need that is infinitely more interesting than the actual movies. Well somebody could copyright vehicle is what really kind of got me but Yeah and they made another one called like junkyard man something else. So this is kind kinda like the fourth re like kind of really big thing of it and and really this is the only one that I've seen. You can watch the original one on to be. I. Don't know if that's an Australia to you be I. It's totally free on to be you can. Well, I'm sure you guys have some form of it free somewhere it's not very good I'm going to be honest. I'm I'm assuming it's. Probably. Probably. would be it really probably is but this is this is really interesting to me because I was ten when this came out. So I was aid you are now in this movie came out and I and I think your little old. Already. Shaving nine so it's hard to keep up. No. Here on my balls, the other. Nine at nine I was like five foot eight. So I'm trying to think like Oh shit like fuck I'm six four now and I'm like wait yeah it was like fucking five eight when. This is a minor tangent I'm reading Mike Tyson's autobiography right now by the way off topic that's that's what I use my talk in on. Really Good Really Nice Nice. hitter he was huge at the age of seventeen like you know he's won the world. Championship. Like that's what you just reminded me of imagining year like Mike Tyson. Nine years old with a face tattoo like Ma. Some applesauce. Thoth. But applesauce Mabo. Some apple sauce? No but this movie I remember very well, my my brother was a certain age when he started really getting into collecting like VHS is and stuff and he had like trimmers gone in sixty seconds he had all five and at the time five rocky movies on one box set. We all we had all the nightmare on ELM street and and we put them together it. Was Freddie on the front with his gloves like spread out and she has really wholesome. Yes. So we were always like collecting movies and stuff and I remember him having this movie and it was something that even my dad because you know my dad was born in fifty one or fifty. So when this movie came out, he was forty, nine, fifty years old and fifty seconds. Born in born in fifty seven now. Born offensive. Second. No. But he he I think he remembered the original one I'm not sure. But he definitely like this one and even I, who is like the most pussy ass can't change my oil type kid like in the world like I can change a tire and fill up my windshield wiper fluid that's about it. But he thought this movie was awesome. I fucking love that I'm not a car guy. I liked talk year the British show that's about as far as get. Some cars are pretty cool. You know But we all fucking love this movie even my my my nephew tristen I think he's seventeen now but he will you know I can remember years ago him being bring Saturday and brings talent Dan as like dude, it's crazy. You singing a song from a movie that was you weren't even born yet. You know that's weird for me to think of when I was ten yards very strange to think. Of but this movie was like you know for everything the trough it like I am very nostalgic to this movie I'm going to be as objective as possible. This is not a great movie. This is not a classic movie. This is better than the twenty, five percent on rotten tomatoes though fuck that that is bullshit. The the editing on this movie is, do you know who the editor on this movie is? Chris Chris Levinson. So this guy. And editing dude is what honestly saved this movie for? ME. Chris Lebron's on I'll just read Ya some of his filmography, the outsiders top gun beverly hills cop two. Thunder. The last Boy Scout Batman returns nightmare before Christmas Ed Wood Mars attacks con Air Armageddon enemy of the stay sleepy hollow Pearl. Harbor. Planned to the big fish corpse bride. But he does all these timber movies and a lot of other shit and he's a bad motherfucker and editing is honestly what really kind of gives this movie the character that I love like I don't like you know it's pretty cheesy. At some parts. But you know what I love is that they don't go after like Paul Walker Super Ns movie they go after fuck and shelby shelby gt five hundred they go after classic awesome cars and they go after New South Kinda too but they're not going after like a Mazda Miata you know they're not going after new shit and I like the fact that is a movie made in two thousand. But they're going after these classic cars and it kind of even though this is a two thousands movie which the soundtrack and the fashioned definitely indicates but it feels like an older movie and I think the cast is like Dude Cage Joe Lee Robert Duvall Oh God Chris Chris, Eck? Listen the guy who was doctor who ECCLESTON. Delroy Lindo dirt he's he's like mood in. Front Runa to get an Oscar. This year after the five bloods dude he's amazing. This is the first thing I saw him in and I love as I did this Guy Theon Yeah Timothy Ullevaal Gina Rec- vinnie Jones will patton will patents actually one of my personal favorite actors all time he is narrow rated I was Lookin' will patent has narrated something like forty six audio books in his lifetime he does like constant audio books. I got to best up. They are but anyway. Let's get to this and Paul Pierce Rob is putting stuff out there. And he came on Today or yesterday one of it was today on. Espn we know. He's on their shows. And he said that low Brian James. Everybody's talking about the conversation of course and most people are comparing Lebron and Jordan and Pierce was like look. I don't even know why putting Lebron in that discussion because he's not even in Pierce's top five. Wow that is unbelievable here. He is explaining himself. He'll russell built up. The Organization of Boston should get way more than we give them. A lot of times he just left out the Conversation so and saying that Kareem look at the names that I say Korean Magic Sword Tim Duck. Oh Bird. These guys are all top ten players who either help build up there an organization or contains tradition and all the as he went and put together a team of Miami. I think there's a lot of combat. He came back to Cleveland to put that team together. And then he went to the Lakers. Where traditions already remain. And we don't know that's still to be continue so and saying that that's my argument. All right there it is now robin. I've both gone on record saying we got Lebron number two all time so we unless rob change his mind we would disagree with monitoring is nothing changed because of the stats and Lebron could be finished when it's all said and done deleting score in the NBA An NBA history. The facts right Chris if he continues at this pace and he's already second best and you know saying here but I'm saying like no. He's saying he's not going to be a team. Not In his top. Ten in this guy could be the leading score in the history. Nba is what right? Well that doesn't make sense to me. Peers doesn't have him in his top seven at least because after he tweeted out that six and seven is shocking Dunkin. I don't remember if it was Dunkin Shack Shack Dunkin but those two were six and seven and so he doesn't have Lebron higher than eight. What do you think of the point? He May Toe rob about you. Know he's holding it against Lebron that he left that he didn't build it in Cleveland. What I think. That's a legitimate argument from the standpoint of and I've said this to you before Chris. Lebron could've stayed in Cleveland. Maybe one two or three championships. Chris throughout his run of seventeen years. Put up all the numbers that he put up and his career would look a lot better than losing six championships. There are people who claim that going is just as good. I don't believe in that because I made the case over and over about the buffalo bills. Nobody ever brings up Jim. Kelly who is the quarterback and went to four straight super bowls. People don't bring that stuff off it's about winning and when you lose that many times it's hard to be in that conversation or for people to look at you think you're the greatest. If he stayed in Cleveland built that thing up one two or three was two and one three and one Christian championships had all the stats was the all time leading scorer in the NBA. You'd have a different argument. Be Hard to argue against what he was able to do. In Cleveland considering how bad that organization is has been but this route. Let me ask you this. What you're saying. Let's say stayed in Cleveland. The whole time right doesn't get maybe Mo Williams whoever Andersen version Al Antoine Jamison. Some of those guys. He had his second best players. You know and he goes. Let's say at this point. He stayed in Cleveland whole time. And he's three and six in the finals just like years would would you feel differently than no. That's losing the law. No I still. I wouldn't what he would go. No he would 'cause you said if he stayed in Cleveland the whole time and was say three and one in the finals or something. Yeah I'm decide the case out of because I was GONNA say I look. I get where Pierce is coming from. He feels like look. Jordan went to a horrible franchise and built it up and horrible. People should understand the bullhorn terrible horrible Bill Russell about the Celtics were terrible but obviously Russell was the linchpin in all of those championships and they fell off when he was done in. It took a few years to get back to winning ways. Who else he mentioned. Colby obviously weren't a bad franchise. Go into the Lakers with Shaq. But he stay. I guess he's giving him credit for staying with one franchise and not going to build. A super team is what he's saying so my point. I'm asking you is. Let's say Lebron stayed in Cleveland and they win three but they lose six just like he is now. I still think that's better. That's still impressive. See I don't I? Don't hold it against him that he lost six times. 'cause you're are you saying that? Had he lost obviously would have made the playoffs most of those years. If not all of them I think all of them. So what if he loses in the Conference Final Six Times six mine? Better the finals. I don't think serves Yup. I don't think it looks. It looks as bad. I really don't and I get the point about getting knocked out sooner but if you were three and one in the finals and you had all those other records and you did put all those other numbers you could say. He only got one time and that was when he was young. And that team jumped in the finals. In two thousand seven you can make a compelling argument that his career was as great as Michael Jordan. All the numbers in the longevity. That's all I'm saying. The argument for for goat is better to me at three in one longevity. All the numbers Chris than losing six times. I can never put anybody who's lost more the same amount of championships at somebody who's one who never lost one to meet at math doesn't work out. See I think that's looking at it and completely black and white terms without looking at the nuance of 'cause again it does. It is better. I mean every year I wanna go as far as I can and I think getting to the finals those are conference championships. I know that's not the final. Don't get me wrong. But still you won conference championships. Winning Nine Eastern Conference Championships is better than winning. Four can I give you this? Did Landa Braids one. Fifteen out of sixteen years they won the NL East title and they got to the world series a number of times that one worn world series. Nobody looks at that braves. Era Chris of Winning fifteen out of sixteen division titles as a positive it is not looked upon in a in a positive way there the classic numbers. They had three hall of fame pitchers on the same staff for more than a decade and they won one world series nobody looks at the Atlanta Braves and praises them for getting to the postseason many times for winning that many divisions would you agree with that. Dial them do them as underachievers. I would agree. But here's the difference. Okay they won the Division fifteen time world series a number of times. I don't know what the exact they went five or six times in sixteen years they only had only won one. They went to the world series in that run most deterrence they. They only went one two three four five okay. They were one. Yeah that's why I say one one. No I understand that for to win. So they're their accomplishment was get like Lebron's gone to the finals he has just won his the central division. Now he's got to the final. Fifteen is an unbelievable and any sport to win the division. I mean I get it in baseball especially back then is a little different because you didn't have as many teams in the playoffs. That's what I'm saying. That's why you could get in right and so to me. That's a bigger failure because was how many teams were making the playoffs at that point. Four back then. I think it was through Chris for okay. So you're was it was three. What am I tonight nineties? Before the wildcard or what? Yeah so so you only had the division winners so if three team see that's the difference you want. Your Division fifteen times and you only had to beat to other teams to get to the world series and you only you lost that ten terms and then you only won the World Series. One out of those fifty. So Lebron hasn't been that unsuccessful. He's won three so I just think had he gone. Nick HAD HE BEEN IN CLEVELAND. One three loss six. I still think like Pierce would not have this argument. Here's his argument is you didn't stay to build it up. You would have to say he built it up. They didn't win it every year but he did build them and he did that anyway. He's still built into a contending team. He just didn't close the door until the would Tamiami came back. But it's an interesting discussion. Let's see what the caller stink. Grab eight seven seven ninety nine or Fox as seven seven nine nine. Six sixty. Three sixty nine has Lebron history of jumping from team to team hurt him in the goat discussion as Paul. Pierce says. We'll continue.

What you think of the point he made though rob about you know he's. He's holding it against Lebron that. He left that he didn't build it in Cleveland. What I think that's legit argument from the standpoint of and I've said this to you before Chris. Lebron could've stayed in Cleveland maybe one two or three championships Chris. Throughout his ron of seventeen years, put up all the numbers that he put up and his career. We'll look a lot better than losing six championships I. There are people who claimed that going is just as good i. don't believe in that because I made the case over and over about the buffalo bills. Nobody ever brings up Jim. Kelly who was the quarterback can win four straight super bowls. People don't bring that stuff up. It's about winning and when you lose. Lose that many times. It's hard to be in that conversation or people. Look at you and think you're the greatest. If he stayed in, Cleveland built that thing up one, two or three, two and one three and one Christian championships had all the stats was the all time leading score in the NBA? You'd have different argument. It'd be hard to argue against what he was able to do in Cleveland considering how bad that organization is has been Put put. This, let me ask you this. What you're saying let's say stayed in Cleveland. The whole time, right doesn't really get maybe Mo. Williams you know whoever Andersen version Al Antoine Jamison guys. He had his second best players. You know and he goes. Let's say at this point. He stayed in Cleveland whole time and he's three and six in the finals. Just like years would. Would you feel differently then? No, that's losing the law. No! I wouldn't what would be the go? No, Lena, he went, because you said if he stayed in Cleveland the whole time, and was say three and one in the finals or something. Yeah, decide the case for out of because I go. I was GONNA. Say I look I get where Pierce's coming from. He feels like look, Jordan to a horrible franchise, and built it up Bilas, horrible people should understand the bullhorn terrible horrible Bill Russell about the Celtics were terrible, but obviously Russell was the linchpin in all of those championships, and they fell off when he was done in, and it took him a few years to. Get back to winning ways. Who Else do you mentioned Koby Obviously they weren't a bad franchise going into the Lakers with shack, but he stay I guess he's giving him credit for staying with one franchise, and not going to build a super team is is what he's saying. So my point I'm asking you is. Let's say Lebron stayed in Cleveland. And they win three. But they lose six just like he is now. I still think that's better. That's still impressive I. Don't I don't hold it against him that he lost six times. 'CAUSE you're. Are you saying that had he lost? Obviously would have made the playoffs most of those years, if not all of them. I think all of them. So what if he loses in the conference? Finals six, times. I don't think I, don't think mine data vannatter the finals. Yup I don't think it looks I. Don't think it looks as bad I really don't and I get the point about getting knocked out sooner, but if you were three and one in the finals. And you had all those other records and you did put up all those other numbers you could say. He only got beat one time, and that was when he was young, and that team jumped in the finals in two thousand seven. You can make a compelling argument that his career was as great as Michael. Jordan would all the numbers in the long jetty. That's all I'm saying. The argument for for goal is better to me at three and one longevity all the numbers Chris than losing six times. I can never put anybody. WHO's lost more of the same amount of championships at somebody who's one who never lost one to meet at math doesn't work out. See I think that's looking at it in completely black and white terms without. Looking at the nuance of it, because again it does, it is better I mean every year I want to go as far as I can. And I think getting to the finals. Those are conference championships I. Know That's not the finals. Don't get me wrong, but still you won Conference Championships Windy Nine Eastern Conference championships is better than winning four can i. give you this the Atlanta braves. One fifteen sixteen years. They won the NFL. East title and got to the World series a number of times that one world series nobody looks at that braves era Chris of Winning fifteen out of sixteen division titles. As a positive, it is not looked upon in a in a in a in a positive way that the classic underachievers they had three hall of fame pitchers on the same staff for more than a decade, and they won one world series. Nobody looks at the Atlanta Braves and praises them for getting to the post season that many times for winning that many divisions. Would.

Lebron laid that ball up. Somebody said I go call. But he's this across would be our remember back in the day Michael Jordan. Talk Talk I right so I'll look out and we'll have a problem with that. The missed three. Good move to get the look right. Couple pump nice pump fake and like a lot of his threes. Because I think he missed his first six or seven or something like that. It was online a lot of threes right online back at the rim or in and out and and this was back at her in front of the rim out. Yeah it happened you miss you miss game winners. He took it. He took it with confidence. Look I auto. I got no issue with that. You missed it you missed it so I think the bigger picture. What's in the grand scheme? What's more important getting Quinn Cook? Uc Body now bodybags earlier. This year. Why are you picking a little bit Aletha you like? Wow you know. He can't already do. I gave gave him a seat and say rees thought he walks a very fine line. A very tight rope for trying to get guys to involve and going to long. He take a shot in the first quarter. That's the only the third time in his career and that's the first time since we twenty twenty. Let's think you're poor seconds. Give alone as men and I think it through about his rhythm because going look at Lebron is like most NBA. Their rhythm guys is hard just a man Utah quarterback. We don't want you to throw any passes the first quarter with we want you to come out for the rest of the game now. That's not how it works until the broad rhythm was thrown off. I thought awesome great looks of big going on his greasy as the three ball. It looked. I'm sure bill good. It looked good for where I was sitting. But it just didn't go in nineteen hundred S. I say eighteen I count that lab where they were down four so he got ninety but if it really does it. But but when you're talking about Lebron James you're talking about the Creme de la Krill. He that the top of the mountain He's only limps uh-huh and so you have to hold them to the highest and you have to the harsher critique for the best players and he didn't get it done last night you can't even oh you can't start out by eight with losing. So how well they played. You lost the game but I gave them a city. 'cause I know Lebron played better to turn over. These started early in the game. Turn the ball over. He tried to go behind his back of. Wendy bounced off his shoe and I thought that started it because in the first quarter everybody who just turned into ball love with the basketball. And that's one of the things they have to guard against. Yes is turning the ball over. I thought late deepens. Our rotations developing the White House. Not Getting out on guys with the three point shot. But I'm not concerned about that. 'CAUSE WE GOT thirty three words right now. Ah but I got fired cases where I'm looking at something like sixty one sixty two win so it's my turn and somebody on this panel is going to have to be objective. Objective falls on my shoulders. I am going to correctly. Give Lebron for last night's performance especially the fourth quarter A. D. as in dog because I am grading on these strictest strictest highest order because I just heard Mount Olympus Creme I'm GonNa look grim or best player on the planet earlier in the show so how can I not give him a D for that dog of performance for the the quarter he continues to close my case my longtime case he is not a closer the great irony. The a fascinating irony of last night was I've said from the start. The closer for the two thousand eight hundred twenty Los Angeles Lakers has to be Kyle Kuzma. Somehow he is being rejected even though we saw him explode on Friday night at Dallas and explode with no idea. No Lebron on Saturday night at Oklahoma City explode because he is capable and he's fearless and he loves the fourth quarter spotlight and you have to feed him and get him rolling and you have to live. Live with an occasional missed jacked up shot. Because that's who he is night was. Would you believe Kakuta played three and a half minutes of the fourth quarter and got up zero shots last night. That's all you need to know for the record. Lebron James took nine shots in the fourth quarter last night light which were for more than any other player on either team on the floor last night which jacked up Lebron's fourth quarter total for the season. Two Two hundred and twenty eight fourth quarter shot attempts that is by far number one in the whole. NBA that seventeen clear of second. James Harden it to eleven just for the record. He's trying to close and he is failing to close repeatedly and this time it came against yet another sub five hundred team even though the magic have improved. They've won six of their last eight games and yet last night they didn't have Evan -fornia and nor nor DJ and here they came and they go up twenty then. Here come the Lakers Bush back and now it's a seesaw. Game in the fourth quarter Lebron credit for this because it was a typical fourth quarter from Lebron. Because to Chris's point he did tuna three left. He nailed a big three sales at the end of the clock. I love him at the end of the car. There's no decision to be made. He knows okay. Now I gotta shoot this and shoots it with conviction and he made it that put them up one then. He makes a driving layup which I didn't see again the whole rest of the fourth quarter scoop shot with with his left hand because he's ambidextrous and that put them up three and then here we went down the stretch eight forty three if we could see this. He missed three when they were up. One and then we go to eight fifteen and this is the all-time embarrassing moment of the night. Here we go. He gets the baseline and he gets blocked by the side of the rim. What skip do about if we go another three four then six fifty four left we got? He's going to force a shot over here in the left corner and he misses a thirteen foot. Or they're up four at that point so that could have been a death knell right there then. We got the traveled. Chris talked talked about he just took off running with the ball. I think you have to dribble when you run with it. And then we got another big myths three. They're down to at that point. Three thirty five. We're GONNA go the two thirty and this is the second turnover. At least he was trying to get it to cal coups who was completely blanketed and there we go and then here we go again. The worst late-game superstar free free throw shooter when they were down two and then finally you always night one. That was a big shot Oregon Iraq and then looking at US Lebron's got Marquel and he just gets you so booby I can't stay in front of him and then finally we get the game winner and Chris said it was right on law out wide left in the bronx warn. Who knows Luke Chris you becoming? It'd be how long twenty five forty five quarter-century can join Mr yes. I don't know if he's gotten hung on room but he's missed dunks. He probably chanted sharp. Here's where Lebron's at a disadvant- is in these conversations with Jordan Magic Bird and all that this is a wins Wednesday night in January the dog days of the NFL Sunday against a mediocre team. And we're critiquing his last six minutes Jordan. Obviously there were shows like this there were radio shows like this when Jordan was doing it so we don't remember let alone Magic Andrew. Promoting snapple snapple do shit for us. I need to stop talking about these yeah because we didn't have any of that stuff. We ran on our own commercials we we we were on merchandise. We had u._f._c. in the middle of the thing. Instead of you know in the show's pulling chiller numbers you you know what i mean. Blowing anything they had on the network out of the water and at one point when the josh shak chris lebron and bobby southworth blow up that happened on the first thing got up to like two point five million viewers at that time was massive at the first season yeah. It was the first season so it showed five or six like right away. I took off huge spike tv say did they call you like hey man <hes> now totally sorry so at at the time so at the time the president of the company got fired so at a time when you see a show the pulls these kind of numbers and this successful vessel there's billboards. There's commercials. There's ads in magazines. It's everywhere. You can't hide from that show right yeah. They did nothing there were literally people hiding cubicles over there because they didn't know who is going to get fired next it was it was crazy so i'm flying back and forth to new york during this first season yeah. They won't even meet with me. We should have been the most celebrated thing on the network taken meeting with me out there right yeah then. They promised me all this marketing that they would do for the finale did none of it. It was so fucked up so dysfunctional and such a mess can catch a break so finally those a guy named doug herzog and he oversaw comedy central spike and all this stuff and i'm like i gotta get in and see this guy right. So finally i get myself a meeting with doug. Herzog who ends up being the greatest guy ever guy and <hes> we go into the finale we have no deal nothing and forrest griffin and stephan bonner ended up putting on that fight and the numbers during the fight went just like this and that was live the and this is before social media or any of that stuff so people were picking up the phone and call the friends telling him to turn on this fight the fight blows and out of the water at the fight. Did you know i knew people were stomping their feet and sounded like a train was going through the arena and at the end of the the fight people were chanting one more round one more round and then on the cuff. I go in there on the fly. Give them both contracts and the place goes crazy crazy and i knew when that fight was over. It didn't matter if we did another deal with spike tv or didn't do another we did it. We made it. We were going somewhere yeah that night. They take us out into the back alley and we cut a new deal on a napkin literally written on a napkin new deal for our new deal.

And it just seemed the dark name, obviously, you've got some movie as I think hook me up with dinner with his leisure because he got so locked into that role. I want to know how he mentally went there. And so we had dinner with he talked about how locks in for a role Cogan use some of that in his game against the Nixon mental preparation. And so I know for you your craft your are having gotten to be number one and goes on and on. But that was the heath ledger story. That's written him. Heath ledger died before the movie was released, correct, Kris. Oh, Kobe couldn't have seen it, then wanted to have dinner with the guy. Correct. Multiple sources told the SPN's Baxter homes. Yeah. The debtor never took place. They never got together. Maybe rob. Pelinka really is Rob Lowe. Rob Lowe is just it's apart and it's all just an act and he's just going from his script. So does Jeanie Buss have to revisit rob Pelinka's the GM? I mean she gave him the vote Akon. For this year. But if you're a free agent after reading this story, and, you know, how toxic rob pointed can be, you know, that Rich Paul LeBron's agent is pulling strings kidding on the run is is running the team that make him the GM he basically is. It's unbelievable. Again, I recommend everybody read this, and look, the bulls have their issues. They do they got plenty of their own problems to deal with. I'm just telling you, you go. So here's my question to you cap. You read the entire Laker, two point oh, failed reboot story on ESPN dot com. Having read all of that. Today. You can take a franchise gotta take everything with you got one to pick and you can place it here in Chicago, taking the curb bulls situation, their front office, they're players their ownership. Or you take in the Lakers taking here hundred percent because that thing has a very, very short shelf life with a Bryant. He's going to be what Chris LeBron with thirty five thirty four or thirty thirty four thirty five. It sounds like from everything. I've read in different NBA things. I read that a lot of the four K, he's going to be thirty five. He players don't wanna play with him the players that are there said they felt completely sold out that he was disloyal to everyone else players wanna play here. They at least have some young pieces here. They could hopefully draft another good player. Hopefully, spend some money. It sounds like the top players don't want to go play LeBron. They. The end of this summer. Let's, let's see, let's see who comes to Los Angeles. But we might change your tune a little bit if like they said that all the moves that LeBron signed off on last summer land, Stevenson, and all these. They said couple the front office guys goes, what are we doing? Trying to get all the biggest train wrecks in the NBA and the same roster. Like are you kidding? What are we doing at things sound like? It's awful awful. And the clippers which used to be the biggest train wreck in basketball. Sounds like with Steve bomber at the helm sounds like they're pretty good spot. They're the favorites to land Colli. Yeah. Crazy. Lebron is already talked to kyri. He's already talked to collide too. Didn't he Chris is reported last week by Brian wind horse. I must admit to you guys. I thought it I didn't find it. Compelling, and I didn't have my numbers. So I never mentioned to you guys. But I think even after the fact you'll appreciate the fact there is something very real, buddy. Number one contender in his next fight. Not looking very good and many of the former number one contenders that go back into the mix in their next fight many of them did get their hand raised, but I will stand by my statement that they didn't look very good. Am I look good enough to get it done that night? But they generally there's just a slip, and I don't even have an opinion for you as to why. But I can tell you. It's a very real thing. I can tell you. There was something about being out there being in the spotlight having the attention and bind the fact, okay, I've made it to the top of the mountain. I've gone is absolutely far as you can't. And because of that experience. And because of that knowledge, I am now a veteran. And whatever I do next is going to be easy, and it falls in line with people believing that the really hard fights are the really big fights. And the less big fights are easier fights and that is wrong. I don't give a goddamn. If you're at the dog park in an amateur fight in front of eighty people for no money and no attention, and no cameras and no media. You can have a really hard fight. And it doesn't matter. If you're in the cage over it L Tor, or in the USC doesn't matter that may not physically be a harder fight. But I will concede you it is a much bigger fight. And there seems to be something very real about that. I'll bring Conor McGregor into the mix because it's a name you guys will recognize, but when he went into the could be bite he spoke about this at the press conference, and it made me think twice about Connor in that fight. And he was talking about how this fight is big as it may seem to you. People is half the fight that I just got done with. This will do half the numbers and half the attention in half the gate of what I just did with Floyd. So as impressed as you guys may be. By what's on the line for Khabib? I have been there, and I have done that. These were his words. I am not quoting. But I am absolutely paraphrasing for you his words, and I remember thinking, oh my gosh. One's got nothing to do that the other personalized this. The second fight I ever had in my life. I fought forty nine men. The second guy I ever fought I fought for free at the roseland theater in Portland, Oregon in an amateur fight in a professional wrestling ring because the promoter couldn't even shell out the cash to get a ring that same opponent I- rematch, and guess where rematch him in the UFC on live television at the hard rock casino on the first fight of the night. Just to put it in perspective for you, the hard fights. And the big fights do not go hand in hand in the athlete that falls for that will fall on his sword. I'm not offering to you right now, a commentary on Darren till because that would sound as though I'm being negative to Darren tell it's just an analysis that a lot of guys go through and. Also happen to think based on that historical statistic that Darren till was going to underperform. I just happen to think that sharing it with you guys now, but it's a very real thing. I've watched a number of other amateur fighters, here's one that comes to mind, Chris LeBron in his either first or second fight thought ever in his life fought Pat Healy on an amateur card in either pet Healey's first or second fight. It was a split decision. It went to LeBron. And they both went onto the UFC..

"When you hear those details can't help but wonder if we cutting had anything to do with it. I was told yesterday best camp felt great. Look great nothing was out of the ordinary. And now you hear this and you can't help. But think maybe it's another way cutting casualty let's go back to the phone lines. Hear from some of you. I need you as much as you need me. Because like I said at the top of the show. This was a to fight card. And now we're down to one fight is route assign every zanthosyn Silva Joe in Houston. What's up my man, man area? What's up? I haven't talked to you in a while. It's good to hear from you. What's on your mind? Man, craziest sports follow that. We saw the man that just can happen a day of the event. But I want to ask, you Anderson, man. Buddy of mine. The other day just talking about all the crazy finishes the crazy sites amazing performances from this guy. And I just wanna know how you will remember him. You know, had the PD things we have now if you ask me he's kind of fighting on too long, maybe should acquit little. Although after all, those great performances, how're you? Remember areo? Our you remember and today. Well, you know, it's a good question because he's had so many different chapters in his career. I would be lying. If I said that the PD stuff doesn't come to mind pretty early on when I think of interesting, but yeah, I think of him clowning opponents the Forrest Griffin one. That one that was quintessential Anderson Silva, I think of that. But I also think of you have won twelve when he was clowning gaming Mayan. Dana white was very upset. I ninety seven when he tells ladies and Dana what was very upset. So there was some great moments. There were some frustrating moments. But yes, he was brilliant. He's the guy who fought pretty much everyone. What he did to rich Franklin breaking his nose? Devastating him with those knees when he beat Chris LeBron the strumming the guitar and dancing for the longest time. He was one of those guys where you just couldn't quite figure out what's going on in his mind the chill Sunan feud. I thought brought out the best in him coming back with two minutes left in that fight and submitting chill and then doing what he did in the rematch. So certainly one of the greatest ever, but a guy who I would say at this point somewhat polarizing, and if you're not at least bringing up the PD stuff in the second or third sentence. I don't think you're being one hundred percent honest..

"This one's George and that one's goes now feel their wrath. All right. We're back. Our co host for the show is Daniel Strauss. Former two-time featherweight champion at Biltmore anime now real quick. We're GI we're gonna talk to Mark just second book guys Silva, India's. What's the deal Silva are sorry DS may be retired? Start a DS, maybe retired. According to Melendez Silva's got this fight versus Israel to Sonya. You know, they both bought in two thousand fifteen against each other. But since then, I think we only have the one fight from Silva vs Derek Brunson. And like, I I know there's been a some PD Elliott or no actually there's not just allegations. But he hasn't serve some time. But do you just feel like more could've been brought out of these guys before they in the position where they are. Now, we're only one of them has a fight. And the other one's just nowhere to be seen. That's the thing is nowhere nowhere to be seen. But I think it's it's more us that bring him out. And like if you leave it to to Deism self he doesn't really pop out and say like I'm coming back around doing this in that. He just kind of does his own thing. I mean, whatever the money is can't figure it out. Just get this guy fighting again, but think about how much times past it's an investment for the because if he goes out there, and does well, I mean that pay per view will probably do well. And then the next one will do. Well, like why you would think that some point they can just figure it out. I think it's like the same thing we're talking about men and Nunez. The thing. We we get caught in the just assuming that, you know, these fighters just wanna fight all the time. They're they're people to at the end of the day in life. Life changes, you love changes circumstances. And you know, crazy ones where you know. Life changing circumstance in demand is so determined you know, he'll he will make his way back. But you also have opposites where maybe things you wouldn't think will change someone's my wishing change other fighters mind to maybe not wanted to fight. It's a mixed bag. Anderson Silva is called out the USC for using the legends to promote the younger fighters. But that's kind of how it works. You know what I mean? Somebody like Chris LeBron was the veteran when he said, yeah, I'll fight Anderson Silva, and then Anderson Silva tuned him up and became a star that night..

"Now, I double check to make sure I was not permitted to read the word more than once. So I double checked with Jerry blamed, Jerry, and then Jerry will see. Nope. Blame the national promoters. So yeah, I already gave you the word. Hopefully, you remember with that word was and you have already texted and your chance to win a thousand dollars. Mark Belling is going to have two more chances for you on his program. And then we start the cycle all over again. The next day. This is going on for six weeks. Matt kettle for macgyver institute and macgyver news services in the studio with me, we're going to talk about the closing of the chapter that is called the John Doe investigation. That is no longer going to be continuing. Now that we have a new attorney general before we get to. That though Matt Matt and I were just chatting and we were chatting about and we both have Tony Iverson fever. You verse fever? I got the fever house over at the capitol today. And I'm telling you hundreds of people have the Iverson fever there. They yeah. He's he's going to be really nice, and he's just going to get along with everybody. And it's all going to be wonderful. And let me tell you what his supporters are tweeting today. I don't wanna get too far afield. But oh, yeah. There's Chris LeBron thal union thug tweeting out some things nasty things about Scott Walker. Oh, here's this other liberal out. There tweeting about all kinds of nasty things. So let me just put a message out there. If you want civility to return governor, even you better talk to some of the folks who are some of your saying, these guys are, but some of your leaders are out there doing the same sort of thing acrimonious. Very partisan. Just because you aren't personally saying anything acrimonious you to know who never said anything acrimonious Scott Walker rise. The most polite governor, we have I mean, just polite. Very polite did not drop, you know, loaded bombs did not speak intemperately never heard of used the phrase impeach the M F. Now, never heard him say anything of the kind. In fact, I don't even think I heard him use minor profanities. So this was a guy who always spoke and behaved in an impeccable polite way. So the idea that somehow there was no civility in Wisconsin politics. You know, if you need to find out the answer to the question, whether there was no civility you need. Only look at what happened in two thousand eleven two thousand twelve thousand thirteen two thousand fourteen and then after Trump was elected in two thousand sixteen from the leaders of the day. Democratic party. And so maybe he should sit down with them. Because it wasn't our people being. You know being rowdy, shall we say? But that aside, we you, and I were just talking about there is I won't say a ref because I don't think that's an appropriate way to describe it. But there seems to now be. To intellectual roads that the Republicans are potentially considering. And I don't mean in Wisconsin necessarily. One that sort of nominally represented by say, the Ben Shapiro style of republicanism and the other one being represented by the Tucker Carlson seller, and these these guys have gone at each other, very politely and respectfully, but they've gone at each other. We have differences of opinion differences of opinion. I one says that markets solve all problems. So I am really. I mean, I'm I'm I'm dumbing it down on purpose here to make it simple. So Ben Shapiro. Sort of is of the mind that markets solve all property markets free free markets free people Tucker Carlson, is of the mind that markets are a tool to make America better. Right. So he's he doesn't reject free markets. Not by any stretch of the imagination. He's a Reagan style gen-x Republican. But he believes that markets are a tool for America or the world. In fact, if the world uses them they can be used for good, and they can be used for evil. And then he suggests that the Republicans you don't sort of find a way to actually talk about people not reject people by simply screaming free markets anytime. There is a problem to be solved. So an opioid addiction problem. It's your responsibility. You're the bad guy free market solve this problem. And he's he's strongly suggesting that people sort of take a chapter out of Trump's populist appeal, and and try to work it into a framework of conservatism social conservatism that is consistent with Reagan. I think I think it's. Reagan too. Not the kinder gentler stuff that we saw God bless his soul from president George H W moral that was that was kind of a morality of Reagan. But also the economic responsibility of Reagan that didn't just say free markets, and then we're done, but actually tried to make the markets freer. So that the outcomes were fairer. So that morally he believed that would make America stronger and consider that to be more good. So we do have to have that conversation because I think that that Ben Shapiro isn't the problem because I think free markets are free people. I think the problem is we don't have free markets, man. Yeah. I mean, it's been said actually state Representative now state Senator Dale has said it quite frequent. I think he's he's put it well here in the state of Wisconsin. We're open for business. Sure. But are we are we open for free markets? Are we open for free people? And what do we do when we get there that? That's the question. Those are the questions that I think that are important in the conservative movement today. So here's something that I think is a problem is that, you know, Alexander Cortez. Tony Iverson, whoever it is will actually think of something specific a specific person a specific situation, then wanna make broad government policy based on one person's specific demands. So you remember the people's budget you at activists and the sad sack stories about a driver's license. Free illegal alien he wasn't able to do X Y Z it cetera et cetera. We don't we do the exact opposite. We listen to people's personal problems. And then we completely ignore any kind of of personal impact policy might have not necessarily saying that Republican policy is not going to have good personal outcomes. But that's never under consideration. When we're thinking about the policy so Scott Walker his way out spent six hundred thirty nine million dollars on additional education spending in Wisconsin for failed education when parents want him to figure out a way to stop the chaos in their kids classroom in the bullying and their kids classroom. He spent six hundred thirty nine million dollars because the newspaper editorials tell him he he doesn't fund education to an appropriate level. And so here we have a policy that speaks to elite. But does nothing for the people in whose pair whose kids are in the classroom every single day and have to suffer through the madness. Says anything about that six hundred thirty nine million dollars more in funding. You know, who really liked it to begin with was now governor, Tony vers speaking to the elites, it's funny that you talk about this because you're absolutely right. I think Republicans in general there are some conservatives out there who do a very good job of connecting the people with the power series. That's what the Republican party and conservatives in general need to do better. But I was thinking about that during his speech today. Newly sworn in governor Everts tried to do that. And I think had a bit of failing with that when he said and the woman from O'Connell. The woman from Okada. What's her name? Does he have a name? She's the woman from Connemara walk who has to spend two hundred dollars a month on medication because she's like the millions out there pre existing conditions. None of that is true. But they don't care. But usually the Bill Clinton asked style is to say am Janet from O'Connell walk. You know, personalize it. So you see that kind of attempt to do that in this first big, unfiltered speech to the state of Wisconsin. Tony Iverson, hang it. He's trying to do that. I don't know. How successful is going to be with this particular test run. But that's right. That's the that has been the way that Democrats have tried to do that. And they've gotten a lot of help, of course from their PR agencies. I heard I've heard Republicans do it too. But the in this is I think why people reject both both parties in the in the middle in the may not on the. Edge is not the committed conservatives not the committed radicals. But in the main they hear this all the time, you know, Janet from a carnival worker that woman from Milwaukee should probably work on at least making up names, Jane Smith from accountable walk because the base level of expectation is that we expect these people to at least have a speech that has the name written down. Right. That's a that's a really low low bar. We've secretary teleprompter says well, we've got we've set you guys a low bar just read the name somebody else put in your speech, and we're okay, but nobody actually takes a policy from the story. I shouldn't say nobody some people. Do I know that Ron Johnson specifically attempted to get an extension of short term limited duration plans because they were real people. He talked to who had cashed out there. Their equity in their homes to pay for ObamaCare coverage. They couldn't afford Ron Johnson. Got a Bill. Pass that gave people the right to try exactly. So he would take he did take specific thing he problems, and then attempted to address them very specifically. But that's because I think he doesn't have a problem being a fan of free markets, but also understanding that markets these by the way, Shapiro in Tucker's positions exist simultaneously, free markets our freedom. But they also are tools, and if you can find someone who understands that and understands that that the whole purpose of using tools to help people then I think we're going to do better. The republicans. Typically, just don't do that very, well, we don't really have a deep bench of people who number one understand the difference between a rigged market of government managed market. Like we have now and a free market. And we don't have a lot of them that are comfortable actually, talking about real human thing. That's exactly what I was just I was just at the capitol. I was talking to a Senator same kind of issue that came up with the pre existing condition all of that what many have described as the big lie of the two thousand eighteen campaign in the lie continues to go on. And there are conservatives who said during the extraordinary session, listen. Yeah. We can throw some kind of language out there guaranteed pre existing condition, but we're going to have problems eventually if we don't deal with the underpinnings of it. Then you're going to have more people with names, women and children and man of all sorts and sizes they're going to have problems, and we can tell all kinds of store. Stories and say all kinds of names. But the issue will be that these guarantees aren't going to work unless you solve the inherent problems in the market in the marketplace in the best way to do that is get the government the hell out of the way. Exactly, I think I think just understanding that first off you have to understand that we have manipulated marketplace in this country in this state insurance as a manipulated marketplace got even more manipulated and controlled and constrained under ObamaCare. But prior to will hear was a manipulated marketplace. It wasn't a free for all it wasn't. You know, you may the best products in the in the best. You know, the best prices win the day that wasn't going on before ObamaCare. Just got worse. After you're consistent increases in the price of healthcare. That's everybody was concerned about it was highly regulated. It was all the same sort of functioning government parts. We just expanded that we had a chance. In the last session t to allow direct care providers to be considered insurance in Wisconsin. This would have been an escape hatch for people who had not been able to find any solution for them in the highly rigged healthcare economy that we have been suffering under since ObamaCare, and you couldn't move the needle on it. You couldn't move the needle on it. And they were real good stories. Great start the needle on it. I think because because again, you know, there are Republicans who don't I don't think understand that rigging the market necessarily end artificially creates loser. Can I give you a little proposal right here right now? Yes. It's time for Vicki conservativism one. Oh one. This is what we do. We set up a little..
