"That's chris king longtime play by playboys for the islanders radio network and chris joins us love the enthusiasm chris. What are you hear when you hear yourself that night last night. Dan not much of anything. And that's the challenge for me. I think in those situations. I realized you know we have. The oldest and allowed is building in the national hockey league. As you heard there. But i don't get that call out. They're gonna crush and they did so. I did my best to get it out. But i realized i got to try to take into a level above them and unfortunately i guess for me when i try to go to that level. My voice cracks. And it's not something..

"Players in general have been extremely cooperative here. I understand the incident and philadelphia was less than ideal but that was one incident and we expect that we will continue as the vast majority of cases so far without any kind of incident. Well okay. everybody's on their best behavior right now. There's no pitcher in his right mind. Who's going out there and is going to be loading up a baseball right if somebody says hey just want to give you a heads up a up. There's a police car. And he's got his radar out. You probably go under the speed limit. That's what's going on here. It's not like yep that's going to clean it up against time but even if you're going too fast and that's just one isolated incident you're not gonna forever be considered or you worry if you drive too fast in baseball and sports and the national i if you get caught that could have a career you know that's gonna stay with your everyone's going to think like forever you're a cheater. You can't just shake a ten day suspension with pay. Do you ever limerick or something today. I gotta take away from the the commentary here can you. Can you just give me a little that competent. I it's just a launch today. If he broke down the pitchers in the form of everything has to be an olympic. Can you just do limericks now. I have no idea what i said. That was it light. Say i know. I know the commissioner said everything was fine while the fans continue to wine made a new rule. People start to drool when we knew. There's a crime right off the top anybody could do. It depends on the top of the the pacers are hiring. Rick carlisle.

"Really good. I just don't know who's gonna wanna play with him. I think that's really the key. And i know that you know. He does have tennessee. The game he just has the ball. All the time. I figure you go off the board the sacramento kings deer and fox and tyree. What's his name. The new kid who's over the halliburton. Yeah oh jaama rant. And gel jack jack jackson's year. I didn't put that on the website. Or you be too tempting. I guess i would take booker in aden. Aden is getting better. And it doesn't seem like he's shinedown shying away in the playoffs he's been great against the joker me he's holding his own and booker's got that confidence as well so i i know it's recency biles. I might go with those two yarmulke. I just have trouble the seven footers show out of style. Now i know eight inch played very well but all the experts are said. You can't play seven footers anymore. But if you are able to play in the pick and roll like evan mobile. I mentioned this yesterday. Like i think that he's different because of his athleticism. It's you know when you got a guy you know rudy gobert can't play in a pick and roll is a rim protector. I don't wanna rim protector. I want somebody who can play in the pick and roll. That's what the nba's all about now set. That's it set a pick. Let shoot a three by the way. Not a great shooting performance by either team last night. If you're you're hoping that your kids pick up some good habits and shooting. That was not the moment except for you know how many how many kids are going to do this now. Trae young did last night with this little shimmy get ready. Get ready for your junior high. Your your sixth grade team and little jimmy. Lipper comes down and he wants to shimmy. And i've watched these younger kids play games and they just bomb it like. It's it's absolutely mind boggling. But you know steph. Curry's been around their life their whole life where they're going is this a play isn't it. I could bomb it. And then i'm gonna hold up three life. I happen to bank one in or something. You know it's crazy yeah. Talk happened the jersey quite as much anymore. But my son used to do that and i just could not stand when you would do that. Eight seven seven three. "Paul is probable for tonight. He did have to pass a cardiac test This after being quarantined he was quarantining in los angeles. Of course the series shifting to los angeles for tonight's game three is listed as probable. Quite leonard is out. Is it possible to have a stat line of forty eight points and eleven assists and not have a great game. I think it is. Because i don't think trae young had a great game last night. Forty eight yes. That's a lot seventeen to thirty four. But he didn't he he wasn't great. He was great when he needed to making free throws had eleven assists. They're in. But i think as a team this. The atlanta hawks are just not. It's almost like they go into the game and they don't know what else to expect other than sure. Why shouldn't we win. Like we've won elsewhere. We will a game seven in philadelphia. Okay we're going to be intimidated by milwaukee and this isn't a team that's injured milwaukee's been healthy for the most part and atlanta with you know what trae young is done. In the supporting cast. John collins was wonderful. And you know this is the coming out party for the entire to head. Coach nate mcmillan. Gosh i go back to. When nate was with the seattle supersonics with detlev shrimp shawn shawn kemp gary. Payden and guy lost his job in indiana. Now he comes in atlanta. And i think they won. Thirty six in los fifteen since he's taken over there but i didn't think trey was great last night but they you know he did what he needed to do. And it's a score. Iverson used to do this. You have to take shots and trade is going to be taking at least thirty shots every single night. He knows that this is a team that was twenty and forty seven last year. They were last place and like what is what is changed. They were last place for the last three years. And then nate mcmillan happened and they they just. I think there's here certainly starting with trae young. But you saw that last night. And i'm not gonna put this on the greek freak. He did everything you wanted him to. Do khris middleton has to play better when he plays a great game even a good game milwaukee normally winds but last night There were just moments. That milwaukee didn't they needed to do something they didn't do it. Offensively or defensively in those are the small things that prevents you from winning a championship. Even going to the nba finals. Now they might go to the nba finals. They might win it but man you were just rolling the dice and you can't lose at home because this atlanta team. They proven that they can win on the road. They can win a new york. They can win in philadelphia a game. Seven and philadelphia. You can't go all. They're going to be intimidated by the moment because they haven't been intimidated. Phoenix suns win tonight. Don't you know you got campaign. And he is played really well and if you have pain in there. I don't need as much from chris paul. I have to look at chris. Paul for an entire series. I don't want to have him out there. If he's not ready you know..

"You responded and I was like yeah. What are you talking about you know? Mostly people just like ghost each other and I was like well. That's dumb like we went on a date I could at least say like Oh Hey like. I'm not really feeling that you're nice to meet you. Yeah and she's like no like people never do that now is like this is what I fucking hate about our generation and phones making it so easy to just like go somebody Like I can in real life. I don't WanNa talk to somebody like I won't talk to them. I don't have to engage what like I won't make an effort to hide behind my phone in that process because it's super fucking cowardly own up to your actions. Take Responsibility Yeah. I think that's actually the perfect summer. This entire no I think and maybe some of those things are very people listening but I personally think in terms of in terms of energy out there and the Wu land. There's a lot of justifying. There's a lot of ruminating and like contemplating feelings and don't think no better time is now. Yes there's there needs to be an increased level of taking responsibility in action. That's about it I think people are GonNa feel and think and all that stuff no matter what that's never going to stop but if it's not balanced with like do something about it and do it with intention and honestly with strategy and people and I remember this is a general ask out there because I'm just take this moment. I think if you're going to do a whole other podcasts on the networking stuff because I think that it is valuable. Making connections is so super valuable important like it's strategic it's important however there's ways to do it better than not and so. I say if you are asking for people's time or their expertise or whatever anything you're asking something of other people do your homework like in general do the work show that you care. Show up to your interview with questions. Very specific have ever done that. It's a great tactic. All come with more than I'm going to ask to about the company and about what about them or their position what you're GonNa do it Cetera. I had dead. I wanted to my facebook meeting and I I got that job over people who are ten years further into their career than me. Whose resumes are way more stacked because I came into fuck. This guy has drive now. I ended up using that drive in a different trajectory. But it's there but you learn from the experience that I did learn from the experience and I crushed meetings. I come into manager Asia meetings. Whoa okay this actor. Like means business He comes in and he has a plan. He's got everything sorted out and I might not have a lot of credits right now but I'm fine because I'm patient and I know in putting in the effort to get there. Yeah absolutely people and I'd say that even terms like okay volunteers or artists. That have auditioned for me. I've helped many auditions in my day. People who show prepared know what they're doing and no. It's something as small even for collaboration. Knowing who we are the people who show up and they're like they've never heard of us and that's I guess that's fine but also like if you really WanNa be part of something I if I showed up to a Spielberg movie audition and I. Who are they going to like really gravitate towards the they beat up ninety percent of the other people exactly and I remember artists who say I know collaboration because I watched it on Youtube and I really respect that you guys are platform for Asian American artists. Does he have to be something crazy? But it's just like they they looked it up or like. Wow I appreciate that. And there's like a no Y. Mate if we're GONNA get you know there's a linemate here like they care about what we care about the appreciate what we do. I remember this person now performing. Wow we like hopefully it works out but there's just a lot of ways to help yourself that have nothing to do with like the. I think were people out of feelings that a that can.

"Sorry. I wasn't following like now. We're sorry didn't write anything down this. I apologize complaining question on the sacrifice. Part what do you think because I agree with you and you're comfortable with that whereas other people it can be really hard to give something the acts 'cause you're like I really like that and that's also this is actually my pivoting episode with my friend. Janet who's gone through so many different careers in her life to get where she is and designing starting with like she went to Chinese Medicine. She went through all these different parts of her life but she accepted like no. This is stuff that I want and I'm not willing to compromise on including a nice lifestyle. That's something she just accepted like. I don't feel bad about that. That's something that I like. That gives me the feeling of fulfillment that I worked my butt off. I earn good money and now I can go on vacation if I want to. That's something for any individuals identify the you'll have to subscribe to it. Just 'cause everybody else on Instagram is doing it definitely do not do it because other people on instagram or doing people also okay the amount of the man okay. Here's the thing. I am a believer. I'm a public health geek. So I'm like yeah. Our environment does impact our behavior. That's a scientific scientifically proven thing environment shapes behavior but on the conversation. You can't keep blaming your environment like oh social media like that part. I'm getting with super super sick of and I totally guilty knowledge. I've brought up social media so much on my asked about like we're living in the age of this but I accept it as a fact. I'm like social media is not GonNa Change. It's just an extension of human expression and people are always going to celebrate their wins and they're going to put up their baby pictures and they're going to share their wedding photos and their Valentine's Day post about how they gave a homeless man ten dollars and caught them on the back. That's my biggest by the way. Okay and people post about their generosity. Gopher do.

"They do not care at all because you're only approaching it as a victim and I think one of the things that people struggle with when they're first trying to do this and I definitely did was. That's how society says that it's okay to interact with people. Oh my gosh like feel bad for me because of this. Oh my gosh like that sucks so bad like I really like that fucking sucks like. I hope you whatever get through this Paris thoughts and prayers. Whatever what guilty what are you doing about it to fix your situation So I don't know I'm trying to think of an anecdote something well I just I in essence like there's a party that like one thousand percent agrees with you and I do like when we get to sit down and Powell. A lot of that is being able to talk through those feelings. Because I do I myself have guilty of that. And I'm trying to take responsibility for those those moments and I do consider myself a person of action so increasingly the older I get. I think I'm getting a little bit better at balancing or just like diminishing the amount that I complained versus that I do so if I complain I feel like it's coming from a valid place where I'm maybe I'm complaining to process things and then figure out what the next step is. There's a little bit different than like some of the people that are in our environment that I get to like complaining and I feel very validated for being. I mean 'cause I personally get a lot of like means you're so supportive and you're so XYZ. And I do think I am those things but in worldly. There's also a huge part of me and I want to be more open about this in a in a constructive way is that. I do wish a lot of complaining would stop because I do hear a lot of it. It gets on my nerves and it quite frankly takes a lot of my time and energy here. So if someone's complaining I do kit like if someone I genuinely care about like. You said there's select few that like you. You genuinely want to know. Are you doing okay or not But also want to know what are you about it like process it with me but also let's get to a solution like where's this going complained to complain when I was working in the corporate world one of the things too is till my analysts was if you have if you noticed something and inside or a problem or something. Don't just come with that in. Tell me about it like I want you to come with a solution with data behind it. Whatever we don't need to get fully into that but it's like again we're talking about. What is the action item that I can have as established for myself to move past this? What instead of just complaining or talking. Shit which is a whole other category. Something that I think ruins a lot of people's lives and relationships is talking about people and it's something that I've cut down. I'd say probably ninety five percent compared to where it was like in college or before they feel attacked. But that's another one of those things like if you wouldn't be willing to say those things to that person's face or haven't said those things to that person's face you probably shouldn't be saying that actually never heard of a scenario where somebody's like. Wow I'm better off now because I just talked about this person right. I've never never heard that I'm open to being proven wrong. You can let me know yeah. Dm Muir don't the young man. I don't care don't necessarily because I I think it's really funny because you you are very open about you're very self aware and at the end of they don't care that people have this perception of you that you're an asshole or that you are inside and that you just don't care about other people's feelings because you yourself have told me examples of times where you flat out say to people's faith you. You're pretty brutal like and I wouldn't. I personally would hate to be on the receiving side of that so I'm treading lightly. I think a lot of that just comes down to honesty. I don't go up and start. Cussing out people and exploded. It'll be something simple like I just don't want to see you for brutal but it's like. I don't know how to say that in a way that's I don't want to sugar coat. It is the thing I think. That's where other people get into other problems. All now's not a good time. Something like that. Like what is.

"No that's a good point and that's something that I I learned from Rob Rob Czar Mutual acting teacher from the bay. I still study with him. He comes down every week and he's been a really solid Part of this sort of growth or stage of growth in my life. A couple of really important things that he talks about is what are you doing about it No one cares accepting responsibility for your part in whatever it is. You're doing and just not making excuses. Yeah and I think like. I'm focused on acting because that's what we're both in but for anybody out there. There's so much complaining that goes on so much blaming. My boss said this I did this. There's traffic I'm not having a good time. Whatever but feel. I don't feel appreciative exactly. But there's so there's never I won't say never very infrequently do people take a step back and say what was my role in this. Is you related it to something? As simple as there's an earthquake hits it act of God. Everything's crushed whatever you're stranded without food and water for days. Yeah you could blame God and luck and all that stuff but did you pack earthquake kit. There's always something that you could have done differently to help. Change the outcome and that part of that is responsibility versus blaming other people in the second part is with all this complaining and whatever my career not going right. I don't feel the way I want to. I don't have what I want. I don't have the relationship with this person. No one cares and understand how to say that again just to those things in when you complain about these things and somebody's listening to you and nodding their head. They do not care at all because you're only approaching it as a victim and I think one of the things.

"Such a Cathartic experience forty actor and so people can talk about. Oh I wanna like do storytelling for the world. Do all this stuff and like those are the nice byproducts of wanting to be seen onstage in your feelings enjoying that moment I say that for some people are diminishing my life. Some people might be Super Benevolent. Do it for people. But there's not only there's a level of vanity to it yes that is ascribed to it especially for people in La Pursuing TV and film. Yeah I WANNA be seen you want to be. You ought to be understood. That's that's how I've described a lot of like the artistic journey and there's a lot of people live. You will listen as people in general in the world like I feel like our world is as creatives actors. I mean I'll be we come from very we have corporate backgrounds. It's not like we're not normal people but we chose to do the whole art artists journey and make that the career. But I say regardless of whatever vocation you are whatever industry you're in I still feel like it's a relevant feeling and it's a relevant desire that people wanna be heard understood scene and all that so I think you know even though we talk about it in this context of like being on stage and being filmed and all the stuff I still think that that desire and that driving force that motivation is very relevant across the board but I think the way that we yearn or get. I don't know there's a lot of different ways. It's like in a good way. It's like I want to be seen. I WanNa be understood but then sometimes it just really goes into like. I'm so thirsty for attention or like you know dictates everything and that the part that you and I were really kind of diving into is how feelings can override stuff. How it like kind of shitting on a generation of people. No one cares how you feel. Yes you know what I mean like what are you what are you doing like. What are the actions that in light of all these or despite these feelings to like? Be where you are that ultimately impact your feelings like if you're feeling alone and you're feeling unproductive or like you haven't progressed in your career. What have you will like? What are you doing about it and feelings can often like everything's to honor and you know in my mind still say like things to like internalize but at the end of the day? What are you doing about it? And that's the part that you're really big on and I do have a lot of respect for you even though you're dead inside sometimes. I do wish them. "It. Now it's just use it. No one can see my face. I'm dying inside so anyway. Now that we know your life mantra. Yes so super live-fire blessed Kibune Basically what we had talked about was how we are. I have just not been in a relationship since as in college. I had a girlfriend when I was a freshman. Kinda dated some girls like here and there but nothing really serious and like that's just I've lived my life like I've spent most of my time single and I think it's great I really deep meaningful friendships with people and I never feel lonely. I think that's like the thing that people are like. Oh you're not dinnie anybody like what are you doing? I'm like what do you mean what like I have friends I have. Yeah I do things and I think we're people get hung up. Is that one. That's not a lifestyle. They live a lot of people find meaning or find comfort in a significant other or a person that they're dating multiple people that they're dating and I think that's fine but I think there's a lot to learn from being by yourself and really exploring that and learning to love that we see that a lot with what Kelly is going to right now. Who our roommate. She's in our podcast. We were talking about her. Starting over yes. Starting over splitting up. She's currently in Scotland Right now. Living Her best life discarding Christopher me to like be on our own and I think that's great. Yeah it is great. Go live your life. Like don't let other people tell you what you need to have to be happy because that's the standard by which they judge their own lives Yeah I was trying to think about how to put this into words Snot. I don't like girls I don't like people or things like that and I think that's the sentiment that a lot of you can get a lot of people people like Chris. Dead in size Christine have a soul that they're running joke with you out of love of course that you are dead inside more you guys. It's out of love. Some people legit are like this have asked burgers because he just does not connect with people. Sometimes I'd say that I'm very purposeful and who I set relationships with very strong boundaries As you know most of the time will come home and like I can just walk into my room. Close my door not to hire anybody and people. No I'm not people here Mingyin. Kelly know that I'm not mad at them off at that. Point and a lot of people can interpret that because at the beginning. "You're listening to own Queen as that like this is like in danger. David to yeah and apple guys. Welcome to first of all a real unfiltered conversation on career family relationships and culture. I'm your host Benji Chiang and thank you so much for tuning in for this week's episode. Hope you're doing well. We'll be taking care of yourself. Drinking Water Wearing Sunscreen Shout Kevin Fong Aka level for Alpha checkout. His instagram is a gift to the universe Fiat welcome to our conversation. And if you have seen the title by now a year fully aware that this one's a doozy so I wanna take this intro to kind of put out a disclaimer and a preemptive hug because we're GonNa talk about some tough things. This week's guest is my friend and my roommates Chris. King Wong who is an actor he's tucked professional and he's a great human being he is also a very tough love human being and you're going to get a full dose of that and understand his train of thought and for anybody who is new to first of all so. I felt like you could be necessary to have a little bit of a disclaimer. I'm huge on feelings. I think the vast majority of my episodes is how to navigate emotions and how to practice self love and actualize. You know your purpose and things like that. I'm I do lean on the nurturing and compassionate but this is kind of a counterbalance Because it happens to be something that Chris and I get to discuss On a more and more regular basis and something that I think is again counterbalance. It's it's a divine partner. I guess to all the emotions nurturing is just executing getting things done in in a large way disregarded your feelings and doing things despite how you may feel so. This episode is honesty for all of us. Because I think nobody's perfect. That's a given and as much as I want to put that energy out there of you know take care of yourself. Love yourself embrace your feelings except her feelings. All of that That goes out to the part of us. That you know doesn't commit and flakes and ghosts and Doesn't follow through so maybe a strong starter but a less than ideal mediocre finisher. Maybe you get caught up in feelings in your thoughts with anxiety and depression and trust me. I'm not speaking this holier than thou place I am there and a lot of ways and I have definitely been there throughout my life but this is kind of just addressing that head on and calling out the BS and saying you know what you may feel all those things but at the end the days. That really matter is that. What is going to hold you back from moving forward making progress Achieving Goals repairing relationships. What have you things that really do matter and require something more of you to just go forth and do this is? This is to address that. Part so yeah. I wanted to put that disclaimer out. There that that is that's the intention it is not A place of condemnation. It's not a place of you know like crapping all over you who tho just. Christie's a character and I love him. I find a lot of humor and truth. What he says. And there's a lot that I do agree with but the delivery can be harsh so I'm just putting that out there. Be ready for that and Take it with love because I'm putting this out there with love and I'm speaking to myself just as much as I'm speaking to anybody else to hold myself. Accountable and to lovingly hold others accountable. Because I think that while we're exploring this nurturing side and increasing our compassionate empathy. I think that there's a lot of space to discuss discipline. And that love does not mean an absence of discipline and protecting oneself from self harm and that harm can be. It can be a product of a lot of different things so it's something to pay attention to This is why it's helpful to have good friends who can look out for us. It's good to have good parents who can have our best interests at heart. See things the risks and the bad behaviors and bad habits ahead of time so that they can prevent that. I don't know I'm just on this on this Accountability discipline and Nobias no-holds-barred truth port part of my life port part of my life port. Oh we're going to port anyways Yeah that's my disclaimer. And I do hope you enjoyed this episode. I hope it speaks some truth in to gain sometimes can be really hard to hear but it's valuable was not take away from the fact that it's important to hear those things and to internalize figured out as you will how it applies to your life because nothing is handed over in like an easy nicely tied up. Oh that's literally the point of this episode. That life is hard. It's not supposed to be easy. But it's what you do with it and how you're going to move forward that makes all the difference. So that is my introduction occurs. Thank you Chris for being a really great guest. Thanks for being a great roommate and a friend. Trolled Chris ally and you'll hear that but I have so much love and appreciation for the people in my life. It's been quite the journey lately Just having self awareness and recognition and acceptance and all of the above. It's it's a lot so let this be a place of learning and this is my hug this is my somebody told me that my podcast is Is like a sister. Who's lovingly slapping you in the face like they're slapping arousa phase. But it's with love. How to Live a Regret-Free Life With Entrepreneur David Wood

"As mentioned in the intro fire nation wouldn't be talking about how to live a regret free life in Davis WanNA start right off by asking you this question do we actually tell the truth to each other not when it really matters I think and I love the way we started this this conversation because that we tend to want to present the shiny stuff to people we want people like us and we want to present the shiny stuff and there are things about each us that we don't really want to let out to the light and I think that's sad because it leads to disconnection and at least two US judging acids and then we don't tell the full truth and that's not wrong it just doesn't lead the connection that I think we're really want so I'm an advocate I'm an evangelist for firstly identifying the things about ourselves that we're not fully embracing or accepting a loving and then step by step sharing more that with the world so that it can it can come to the light of day and we can actually Lebie seen everything that we are and I'm talking about powerful CEO's and Roxas and everybody not just talking about people who feel some kind of struggle on talking about everybody let's tell more the truth because at the end of the tunnel is that deep connection I say we're all really craving now what's a tactic or a strategy that you may be shared with fire nation where we can maybe dip our toe into this process we can maybe take the first step in being more truthful with each other thank you I'm a practical guy so I love that question start to notice arena dialogue this the the mind is always going and if you can notice something that's going on you that you haven't shared with the person you're conversation away so it could be a boardroom it could be hey I notice the energy just just dipped it seems to me design anyone else feel that starts to name what's happening or hey I notice I'm not really on fire today I just want to let you guys know the I didn't sleep that well I'm here I'm ready to go but if you notice there's a drop in the energy that's what's going on stotts daughters what's happening that's not being named and just name it so you can be more in relation ship with whoever you're communicating by now I love that specific example you gave about how I'm just not feeling on fire today because obviously a it's super on brand for entrepreneurs on fire but be actual personal experience and pat where listen today is my Super Bowl David you are one of nine interviews I'm doing for entrepreneurs on fire today I am doing all of the money once interviews today and why do I do that because I know that I can wake up this morning get myself in state in be on fire all day today I but I couldn't wake up nine consecutive days in a row in insured that was GonNa Happen is I'm going to have a down day or day don't feel like super excited on fire or whatever however you want to say it's but I know I can do that for one day so I have a lot of people like John like you always have much energy you're always like so excited and I love just being honest with them and truthful and saying that's not the case like you're seeing a glimpse of my life you're seeing forty-five minutes or thirty minutes or an hour of my day and like yes I can be on fire for that but believe me after that I go out and lay in my hammock and is zone out or I read or I go for a walk right by myself and that honesty fire nation it will free you being true will free you now one thing that you say David do love is that small secrets our big problems what do you mean by that yeah well let's talk about the cost of not being truthful let's suppose you don it just name that you're not having an on die and the other person feels they walk away from that interaction John and that you know I didn't really enjoy that and maybe then tell someone else back that guy's just not really switched on you shouldn't do creighton alliance can have no Baugh yeah it can snowball so like I just had someone change a meeting coming with this nonprofit some training people in inmates in prison to be authentic and to tell the truth more and she just changed change the meeting and ah I was frustrated because we'd already had always back and forth creating the meeting now if I didn't name that I like how often were we just gloss over that the Dow damage changing around this pressing me also often what I decided to do was name it because maybe next week she'll change a meeting again thinking it's not him but he's may frustrating so I created a little video and I said to her look I want you know you've got a good reason changing it understand I just want you to know there's a cost for me to doing it I want you to know the impact so now I got to be self expressed with her I feel more related with her perhaps she can feel more related with me if she's got some she doesn't WanNa hit hit that or she's got frustration with going on in her life she can now share it with me and then we can be more connected and more related if you don't do it those small secrets those small things the slow frustrations can grow and grow and grow and I just think at the end of the day if we're not we're missing out on the connection and we're missing out on results I am not just the touchy feely Guy Right I am that I am the touch you know like get in touch with our emotions but there's a reason for it I want you to feel more connected and I want you to have better results I want you all to be great leaders and that happens when you a more connected more related fire nation was holding you back from living your truth answer you are holding yourself back from living your truth you have the power to be honest to not have secrets to big problems so stop hold on yourself back from living your truth I'll be honest people tell me all the time like John you kind of blunt like you say it like it is and I love when people say that because like damn right I say like it is because I'm GonNa be honest with you and if that for whatever reason repels you or pushes you away or whatever that might be guess what we probably shouldn't be hanging out with each other then 'cause I'm being on hint I don't need to hang out with every single person in this world and I can't so let me attract the people who I should attracting and let me repel the people I should be repelling for businesses weren't true David Like I love this phrase love me or hate me because there's no money in the middle and it's true true true that that is a true statement but let's even maybe take it to another level like love me or hate me because there's no truth in the middle oh like there's truth in the loving the hating part of it but like that's what we find is being ourselves and now I wanNA talk about daring and this is something that you are really powerful of when it comes to sharing how playing safe can actually be the most dangerous thing that we can do as Human beings expound upon that my background is in risk management I used to be a consulting actuary to Fortune one hundred companies in New York and so I think in terms of risk and I think doc world trying to manage risk in life and we think our look maybe a want share on this podcast that I've had depression anxiety because then people go all that guy doesn't have together and I'm not gonNa work work with him right that's the risk oh maybe I'm a single guy so maybe join us that woman out because I'll feel rejection or maybe I want gone to that speech because it's I it might not go well and and I'm GonNa people are GonNA think terrible on stage whatever it is we're trying to manage those risks and that's valid that's fine but I think many people and not looking at the other side of that risk what about the risk that you don't do it and that you die regretting it what about if you don't go for that new venture or you don't quit your job in GonNa get the job doing something you love or if you don't go to the behind Kozinski died because you've wanted to twenty years what if you actually die a week from now or six weeks from now or sixty years from now with out having done that how `bout that risk that's why I think playing safe is one of the most dangerous things you can do because your Chris King dying with regret out I don't want that for

"The Devon tapes made with his the skate, and you know, supposedly the kidney innovation sitting kicking motion time why he was he kicked the puck. But he didn't kick the puck intentional intent when he did it intentionally, but he didn't kick it towards the net. He kicked it towards the front of the net. It just happened to hit the goalie and then went in the net. So it wasn't like he kicked it. He was standing in front of that. You know, how they stand in front of the net, and they kicked the puck in front of it. And you it's easily you could easily see this. This was below the goal line. The puck was coming. He kicked it forward at it hit the goalie and then went in. I was that not a guy who is the you can't intentionally kicked the puck into the net. He wasn't kicking. It doesn't it. My point. That's not even close to what happened that was behind the goal line. And he was kicking if anything he was deflecting. It forward and it hit the goalie and then went in the net. It wasn't like he hit his skate in went directly into the net. Yeah. But the problem is the letter of the law is distinct kicking motion which you saw into the net. It didn't go into the net hit the goalie, but it's still ended up in the net. So I don't know if the shoe was on the other foot you'd be saying wait a second. They kicked the puck into the net. I mean, I don't know that I would boomer. He didn't kick it into the net. It just by way of deflection went into the net. It is their language nearly right? There's our language in there. That says that if it hits the goalie, I it's not a kicked goal. I mean, I don't know. I don't know if it's the Rangers are playing minutes, screw the soldiers. Well, they lost to one of the hurricanes. We played the full Gogol that was Chris king with the call radio dot.
