"The Ukraine crisis has proven to be quite an early test for the new German government Hassan is how confident is bear book when she heads to these discussions now and tries to mediate between Russia and Ukraine. It's interesting to watch her I have to say for that reason because she stressed she wanted this foreign policy portfolio. There are some other sort of heavyweights if you will in the new German government who have foreign policy credence, whether that's Olaf Schultz, of course, the Chancellor as well. But she is trying to be the one who really takes a lead in these discussions. It's not an easy case for her as you say for the German government as well. What's been particularly interesting, I think, is that she has been towing this fine line ahead of if you were ahead of the German elections when the greens. We should say, of course, is a member of the Green Party. The greens were quite strident in there in their talk about Russia, also talking about things like opposing the Nord stream pipeline, for example, with Russia. This was one of their election pledges. That has now been reversed, so it shows you in a way how tricky this line is and this crisis is for the German government, and to figure out exactly what role they play. One of the things that annalena beaux said also in the Ukraine was that on the one hand, solidarity with Ukraine in this crisis, on the other hand, Germany will not offer defensive weapons to the Ukraine that's not part of, of course, their history. And they will also continue with the Nord stream pipeline, and that was quite a significant step for her to say that to say that the Nord stream pipeline is important in this press conference today. She also said talked about the importance of energy, renewable energy contacts with Russia. So it's a very significant crisis for Germany, but it's also interesting to watch Anna bear about try and stress the important still of a relationship with Moscow and Berlin as well as a relationship between Kyiv and Berlin. And just finally, what happens now after today's discussions? Well, I think the most significant thing in that sense is that both sides talked about perhaps working towards a common meeting of the Normandy group. So reviving that Normandy process, that we'll have to listen to the rest of the press conference, but that will be interesting to see if something comes of that if there is going to be more of a meeting and a shift perhaps back towards this kind of negotiating group between Germany, France, Russia, and Ukraine. And in that sense, also more of a direct contact once again between Russia and Ukraine rather than Russia and the United States and this sort of high level that we've had in the last week between those two superpowers. So I think that would be the key question at this point. Our Russia and Ukraine going to sit down with the European Union or with Germany and France to try and reach some sort of resolution. Chris, Joe, thank you very much for this update. And now here is some articles to Edwards with the days of the new set lies. Thank you, Marcus, an air strike has killed at least 14 people in Yemen during strikes in the capital sana launched by the Saudi led coalition fighting the Houthi group. It follows an attack claimed by the Iran aligned Houthis yesterday on coalition partner UAE in Abu Dhabi, in which three people died. The strikes appeared to be the deadliest since 2019 on summer. MEPs have been gathering in Strasbourg this morning to elect the next president of the European Parliament. There are four candidates in the running, but it is anticipated that Roberto mazzola of the European People's Party will win the vote. Before his death last week, parliament, president David sassoli was due to step down under a deal struck between parliamentary groups. Tongue is small outer islands have suffered extensive damage from a massive volcanic eruption and tsunami. New Zealand is trying to send clean drinking water and other supplies, but ash cloaking the runway has prevented aircraft from landing. Two people have been reported dead so far, but there are fears the true toll could be far higher. And the London short film festival enters its 5th day today as mini series TV shows and blockbuster movies continue to dominate our screens. It's refreshing to see a celebration of this often overlooked format. You can read more about this year's edition. Head to Monaco dot com. Slash minute. Those are the days headlines, back to you, Marcus. Thank you very much Tom. Now the World Economic Forum kicked off yesterday, but sadly, instead of taking place in the Swiss mountain town of Davos, we are executives and world leaders have regularly gathered. It's all virtual this year taking place online. Rob Cox is global editor at Reuters breaking views and ESB in a following this year's discussions. Rob good afternoon to you. Now this event takes place online. Again, what is that doing to the dynamics and significance of the events? Well, I mean, look, this last two years has shown us that Davos, at least it's known the World Economic Forum in Davos is essentially a networking event. So yes, it is a place where world leaders come and they give speeches and their panels with lots of where these CEOs and NGO leaders. And we're seeing that. I mean, you have the prime minister of Japan, who today, the prime minister of Israel, you have GCP yesterday speaking. But in a virtual setting, it's completely different. It doesn't, it doesn't quite match the just for pound for pound what the World Economic Forum offers to all of these world leaders and change makers and policy makers when they get out there every year at this time. Now, what are the big themes this year, then what is discussed online? Well, you know, it's hard to say I mean, I'm not sure anyone's really following it to the extent that they do. I mean, in the past, right? So certainly getting out of the pandemic. You see that for sure. The Davos agenda in general the sort of today, for instance, they're talking about reunion a global social contract, meeting the challenge of vaccine equity. It is clearly the questions that humanity is facing of the day. The issue is that anyone can pull together lots of people speaking online. Having people then kind of discuss those or tackle some of those issues in person, that's really what's missing here. And I talked to a lot of CEOs and people like that who were really raring to go this year. I mean, they were they were really pumped. And I went into it, let's say, three months ago, when the climate event, the cop 26 was happening in Glasgow. Part of me was thinking, oh, this event is going to steal Davos thunder, right? Because all these people are going to come under the agency United Nations to save the world to save the planet to reduce global carbon emissions. And therefore, no one's going to want to go to Davos. But actually, what I found was people were even more interested because while high level big decisions might be made at UN type conferences, they say that when they get to Dallas and they talk to their fellow Davos men and women and CEOs and they actually put the building blocks. They sort of they kind of actually take these big ideas and think about ways to move forward, whether it's deals or partnerships or introducing my people, the Europe people, that kind of thing. And that's lost when you don't have the networking event. No matter who you might get on the diocese or on the podium with his honor cloud Schwab, not in his head in agreement with whatever is being said by whatever prime minister might be there. So certainly lack of enthusiasm there about this year's edition of the forum does it really serve any point at the moment then what are your thoughts about what's happening this year? I mean, look, I think any opportunity where people are getting the other real leaders are on panels and things like that. It's somewhat helpful. But I can tell you just as a journalist, it's not, it's nowhere near at the level of interest. We have people monitoring it for sure around borders, of course, and in my breaking views, what kind of keeping an eye on it. But it's not game changing. It's not in a way that usually with Davos. You do come away with some sense of where we're headed. Now, of course, people talk about how the Davos consensus is always wrong, or even some of the sort of bank types or CEOs you talk to. They say, okay, here's the Davos consensus..

"Those other dataset lines now back to Tom. Thank you very much indeed, Marcus. Now the democratic senator Joe Manchin has said he will not support Joe Biden's social spending plan, which has thrown out on whether the U.S. president can now pass his flagship legislation. Fellow Democrats, including Biden, have spent weeks trying to secure mansion's crucial support for the $1.9 trillion plan. Well, let's get the latest on this now, with Monica's newsletter, Chris Joe Mack, who joins me here in studio one. Chris, we need to probably roll the clock back a little bit for you to set the scene and explain why this latest news is so significant. Yes to roll back the clock. Let's start with the last election result, if you will. The Senate in the U.S., the key legislative body in this case is evenly split, right? 50 50 since the last election, that means that for anything to pass that Joe Biden wants, he needs all Democrats to go with him on legislation, or he needs to pull off a couple of Republicans, but that has seemed incredibly difficult. So in this case, this is we're talking about Joe Biden's signature package, really, this, as you say, nearly $2 trillion spending bill that he has planned he has wanted for the better part of the last year and has been negotiating furiously with all sides with both it's been a fight between the left sort of progressives in the left and progressives in the Democratic Party and what they want. And then also fight with centrists like a Joe Manchin, particularly who are in the center and want to be able to sell this to their more conservative, if you will, voters. In this case, West Virginia in the case of Joe Manchin. So this is hugely significant because Joe Manchin basically made an announcement yesterday that he could not support this package he had tried. He's been negotiating. He's visited Joe Biden in Delaware at his home to have negotiations on this. They continue. They had two calls in the last week as well. And now he suddenly basically surprised everybody on the democratic side by quite firmly coming out in an interview on Fox News Sunday to say he can not support this package. So I guess the question this prompts Chris is this it for the Bill? Does this kill it dead in the water? What other options if indeed there are any available two Biden to try and find a way to pass this bill? So I mean, maybe to talk about the bill as well a little bit first. I mean, there's so many different elements of this bill. And so that's one question is whether these elements could be split up perhaps in some way. There is a massive $1.9 trillion bill that includes once in a generation sort of social spending on healthcare, things like access to pre kindergarten help for parents, those kinds of elements. But then it also includes over 500 billion for climate. It is the largest investment in green energy it would be in U.S. history. It's the only way really for the U.S. to meet its obligations under the Paris climate accords. Those are sort of the two key elements. So one question might be right, you could potentially divvy this up. The bill, as it stands now, yes, essentially looks dead. After Joe Manchin's comments, it had already seemed unlikely and they were going to push it into 2022, Joe Biden has, or The White House has pleaded with mansion to maybe change his mind, but there's a lot of acrimony at this point in that relationship. So it does not seem likely that the bill would continue in its current form. Could it continue in some other form? We'll have to wait and see. And I guess for the Biden agenda, more broadly, Chris, does it hold that beneath the waterline? He's so invested in this, and as you say, there's so many different elements that are bound together in this sort of mega Bill. Does it mean that he's really hobbled in terms of delivering any kind of program legislatively whatsoever? In a word, yes. I mean, it really does mean that he is hobbled in his agenda. The nature of politics in the U.S. right now with how sharply split it is and I say the Senate being 50 50, but also you used to have more cases of senators crossing party lines and voting with the other party. We have not seen this here even a moderate like a Mitt Romney say on the Republican side has been very aggressively anti this social spending bill of Joe Biden. So yes, for him, this is a huge, huge defeat ahead of our midterm elections coming up in 2022, which could make this even harder. That's part of the reason why Democrats are so frustrated with this. They felt this would be their selling point coming into the new year, if you will, to say, look, this is what we're offering voters. This is the kind of spending what we're doing without that. There is an infrastructure Bill, of course, the Joe Biden passed other things that he's done as well, but it just doesn't look nearly as good. This was that signature package. And for that matter, all the rest of his agenda is now up for up for question, whether it's voting rights, immigration, all of these other things that he wants to do. It's all going to come down to whether he can continue some form of this relationship with someone like Joe Manchin. Chris, is there an almost paradoxical situation as we look to those midterms for 22 that the public may I mean we often see it midterms incumbents getting punished whether that's in Senate races or whatever it might be. Is there a risk that in frustration at Biden's perceived failure to get this bill done? The Democrats could struggle then in the midterms. Thereby making the likelihood of them being able to do anything else more like what those frustrated members of the public want ever more difficult. It looks like that is precisely what could be unfolding over the next few months. That is what could be unfolding. I mean, I think it's important to say in that sense that there is still a 9 months until the midterm elections, and so you could, yes, you could argue it is crucial for Democrats to try and repair this relationship to get a few more political wins under their belt over the next 9 months. We haven't seen that so far in the sense that when you look at what happened yesterday, the response to Joe Manchin's interview was very, very aggressive both from The White House, but also from other Democrats who really felt betrayed by this. And so therefore there was this question of whether this relationship can in any way be repaired, but to your point ahead of those midterms if Democrats simply kind of pine for what could have been in this election in this legislation. And don't do anything to move the country forward further in the next 9 months, they are going to face a severe potential defeat in those November elections. So it is crucial that they find other things perhaps that they are willing to work with with Joe Manchin or moderate Republicans. He is at the end of the day still a moderate he's not a conservative Republican. He has things he would like to work with the administration on. This wasn't it, but they have to find some ways to find other things that show that they are still working. They are a functioning government beyond simply crisis measures for the pandemic and those kinds of things. Chris, thank you. As always, as Monica's news editor, Chris jok there, joining us here on the briefing. 22 minutes past my day here in London. Let's get the latest business news now. "Great value for what you're giving and that's just one of many videos that helped to provide some of those basic skills that aren't related to being creative as much as they are supporting creative people in an area where they need to be supported. I understand you correctly absolutely good. Easy way of explaining. This theory is people who follow grant car. Usually them from ten to one hundred or five to one hundred but in chris does community in the business side anyways you from zero or one to one hundred so the impact is monumental. That's one piece. The other piece is scarcity. If you're creative looking for business knowledge you pretty much only have cristo. And because most of those people went there at zero can't afford anybody for business. Coaching anything like that because they don't really have a business. They're just doing photos. Friend my creative director. That's literally what happened. So there's nothing there. Except for. Chris joe so he becomes the savior for a lot of these creatives. And that's what explains a lot of it's called following its extreme generosity to a very specific audience. That doesn't need us. Solution desperately needs it And that's really what he's doing people and that's why he has such a cult following even if his following is a bit smaller than a lot of the other big dogs and the influence So for somebody listening right now. Who's wondering okay. What is the takeaway. What is the way in which i can learn from chris and maybe apply some of those learnings into my own life in. What i heard is a few things. Stand out the generosity. Piece is very very huge. It's finding ways to teach people in areas that the actually desperately need the help not just kind of needed but they desperately need it. What else can you start to think about. When we think about the christos story we dissect how he's changing the world but also how his example can help other people change the world. What are those takeaways. let's break this down. What's the core thing because this is the result that we're talking about what he's achieved what he's done. What's the core. The core is simple number one. You need to have dinner with the first thousand people. you're serving that you wanna serve. It is obvious through the way that christo shares information. It is obvious through the way that he gives those hard truths to his audience and it is obvious through the cult following that this guy spends an unhealthy amount of time with this customers with the people..

"I am the host of this show. Nicholas falana when football is back. Baby we just had week one action. Watch the rams take on. The bears rammed look really really good with matt stafford. That game just ended. But i i want to touch on the new york giants just abysmal. Twenty seven thirteen loss at home to the denver broncos at team that was five and eleven last year and i get it teddy. Bridgewater is their quarterback. And maybe i won't spend too much time on this game. Just because i will be talking about it on the chris joe show as well. 'cause this podcast is more about just brief happenings of everything else. That's going on in the league but this was a dismal dismal. Look for the giants team. In general the offense looked unimaginative again of just kind of resembled the twenty twenty thirty first ranked offense in yards and scoring which was also put on display by basically the giants only putting seven points up throughout the game. A garbage time rushing touchdown by daniel jones at the end made the game twenty seven thirteen. But it wasn't competitive for much of the game. At least i didn't feel competitive. Despite the fact that it was a one score affair up through the third quarter about midway through the third quarter. But the broncos may a lot of offense mistakes and the giants defense was opportunistic. Punching the football out of alberto's hand was great. Play by logan ryan happened in the red zone. But the broncos also dropping deep post touchdown blown coverage by dorie jackson k. J. hammer has to hang onto that. And you kinda knew. The bottom of the ship was just going to fall out because the giants just did not show up today. Like the denver. Broncos did the giants on third down while on defense. We're getting picked apart. And when they did come up with stops they allowed fourth down. Conversions credited vic fangio when his coaching staff were being very very aggressive against the new york giants and picking up those fourth downs credit. The teddy bridgewater and pat shurmur as well. I thought bridgewater found a very very good rhythm against this giants team. The patrick ram defense. We've been talking about it. All off season their ability to possibly play man coverage at an extensive rate in twenty twenty one. Now they attempted this against the broncos against quarterback teddy bridgewater who is in padma. Holmes isn't justin herber. He is a solid respectable. Nfl quarterback but he picked apart the giants man coverage. James bradbury was caught chasing jerry. Judy was caught chasing cortlandt sutton. So it was a dory jackson. These tight ends noah fan and alberto big alberto albert oak way. Benham they destroyed these giant safeties in man coverage and it wasn't necessarily because the coverage was terrible was just the timing and the rhythm of the quick passing game. Pat shurmur in teddy bridgewater was so on point and the secondary couldn't cover long enough to allow the pass rush to get in and the pass rush wasn't getting in quick enough to mask the secondary's deficiencies so the defense. The fact that they played just an astronomical amount of snaps sixty six snaps and it was like sixty two up until a competitive point in the game. When that melvin gordon seventy yard touchdown rush transpired. And then after that. The broncos took their foot off the pedal on the giants got about ninety five yards on those last two drives of just absolute garbage to make the four hundred twenty two three fourteen disparity look a bit more respectable but it really wasn't denver possess the ball for the majority of the game thirty five minutes to twenty four fifty two but again a lot of that came in the fourth quarter for the new york. Giants offense snoop giants offense couldn't sustain drives again. They got bottled down. They hit a big forty two yard. Catch daria slayton on the opening drive and then at an end around the cadavers. Tony go nowhere. Halfback draw get stuffed at an incomplete pass that forced a punt after a huge explosive game. Now the offensive line. It couldn't generate any push at the point of attack. It was an issue for the giants in this game. Something that we didn't necessarily think was going to be the issue with this offensive line. We speculated that the issue was going to be pass protection now. The broncos had to saxons game both by von miller. One against nate solder where von miller is used to hand punch to bench press nate solder to the outside to get an inside rush on daniel jones to get that sack and then the other one was matt paired to not even get out of the stance and von miller got probably one of the easiest sacks of his career by cornering into the cornerback with nobody impeding his way because parents here the snap happen now those two sacks hungry but we're going to be positive ben. Br edison played more snaps than chain lemieux and he actually looked pretty competent. Out there from everything that i saw. Now i do not have access to all twenty two as of right now and hope to get it soon though be clips on the site. If that's the case and andrew thomas now he wasn't gonna begin bradley job enter. Thomas also looked respectable in this game. It seemed like he was getting debt into sets and it also seemed now. Guinness is an all twenty two but it seemed like was square to his target. His feet and his hands were working in unison and he was playing with confidence little things that we saw down the stretch of last season. That were kind of coming up in this game against me. A solid pass rusher about thirty six pressures last year but no bradley shop. So i think that's important to know as well but again for just going to give an overall synopsis on this game. The defense was underwhelming. Did not live up to the hype that we expected coming out of twenty twenty but then again they were probably fatigued a lot down the stretch but just not being able to get off the field on third and fourth down killed that defense. Offense did not see the field nearly enough because the defense couldn't stop the broncos offense and because they can't sustain their own drives because they're an inefficient unit at thought. Daniel jones was solid in this game. I thought he had a couple impressive. Throws i think the third mate play where he identified the matchup of sterling shepherd against josie jewel and then fired to convert for a first down. That was a solid play. I think her predispo- snap. He had a couple of plays where. You're like okay. He's getting it. he's putting it together. But the frustrating thing about daniel jones roller coaster of daniel jones. The highs are not as high as they should be in. The lows are lower than they have to be and we also saw that happen when daniel jones just locks on targets. He didn't throw interception his game but he easily could have thrown to that one play in the red zone where he locked onto saquon barkley coming out of the backfield on a wheel route route. I love i love the concept it draws coverage to saquon barkley hopefully opening up cupboard underneath to the other receivers possibly the tight end..

"I'm the host nicholas philosophy and it's a busy week of the nfl. We have been covering all the releases all the movement over there. Big blue view. Please check that out if you have not already. And i've gone on the chris joe show and gave him a lot of my opinions on some of the giants roster moves. I love the fact that giants address the offensive line realized that they had an issue and then went and pursued both billy price and ben. Bredesen's ben edison will be under contract for several more seasons. I think that's a very very wise move by the new york. Giants and unnecessary one. I think each of these players may have a significant role in twenty twenty one. Even if everybody is healthy we know. Joe judge likes to platoon the offense of line. That's all well and good and we also know that shane. Lemieux struggled mightily last year in pass protection right now. He's dealing with a partially torn patellar. Tendon i have no clue how he's going to attempt to play through that but it seems like he is so good on the giants to actually try to fix this situation. I would say bad on the giants that they were in this situation to begin with. I know that zach fulton retired. I know that joe mooney retired but it seemed like they had a ton of coaching hubris. As i have kind of coined it throughout the entire off season the fact that they thought that they were really comfortable with their guys. Really comfortable with the depth and then it all just kind of fell apart in preseason with guys like wiggins significantly struggling and then you also think about the tackles and how poor. They looked against the patriots. And that's a whole nother issue because you have andrew. Thomas matt pair. Nate's older those. Are your three tackles right there. They did not address the back end of the tackle position and they had a lot of confidence in nate's older they a lot of confidence in all these young players. Let's hope they can come together and form a solid offensive line a fifteenth ranked offense of line anything's better than the thirty second ranked offense of line. So we'll be talking a lot about the giants offensive line. But this episode isn't going to be focused on andrew thomas struggles or some back debt pieces at the giants were able to via trade but will just be talking about some of the bigger storylines going on around the national football league. Before i get to that. I also wanna talk about the giants practice squad. I do love the fact that they added matt scorer. I love the fact that they went out and pursued some of these. I guess you could say. I don't wanna say higher profile type of free agents but guys like ryan is who won a super bowl but joe judge up in new england. I thought that was a really smart investment to bring him onto the practice squad. We know the giants and jason garrett love to run twelve and thirteen personnel packages. And guess what you look at the giants tight end depth right. Now you have kyle. Rudolph just came off the pup. How up the speed is he. Evan ingram dinged up his calf. Is he going to be ready for week. One then you have cadence smith. You lost living toil though. You lost nicotine. You lost rice in john. It's a kind of concerning position group or a team that likes to run heavier personnel packages. So it's good that they have guys like jake housman chris meyrick who they also signed to their practice. Squad from the miami dolphins and ryan izzo. I like how they pursued players like that matt. Scott another veteran offense of lineman. You can bring him in another addition that i appreciate. Let's get into some of the happenings around the national football league. Now let's just start by saying hey thursday. That's opening night. Baby thursday one week away ladies and gentlemen this twenty twenty one. Nfl season is just around the corner. We're going to be here providing all the content on the new york giants someone fantasy football will definitely be talking about and around the nfl abroad. It's going to be a lot a lot of fun. And in this game we have the dallas cowboys opening the season against the super bowl champion. Tom brady led tampa. Bay buccaneers head coach of the cowboys. mike mccarthy. He ushered a bunch of praise. On tom brady earlier this week. Stating that the forty four year olds longevity in his league may be even more impressive and the seven super bowl. Titles which isn't crazy when you think about it quote. This is mike mccarthy. Well i think like anything. A lot of things about this game but longevity. It's difficult to win a championship in this league. It's so difficult to win a super bowl and the fact that he's won seven is just unbelievable but i think my personal belief. The biggest challenge in this league is to have continued success to have success and to play at that level for such a long period of time to me. i think that's tremendous quality. And he's living it and he eats it every day. You can see just the way he goes about it from what you know from what you hear about. Not only as approach where he is today but to be able to do it at such a high level for such a long time. That's what i'm impressed with. That's coach mike mccarthy head coach of the dallas cowboys talking about tom brady and he makes a lot of points man. I mean think about tom. Brady's almost fifty years old. This guy is forty four years old and six years. He's going to be fifty. He's coming off of a super bowl victory and the team lead by jason light. Their general manager was able to retain chris godwin shack barrett antonio brown lavar onta- david leonard fournette and rob gronkowski and con su. That's insane right. There rob gronkowski also reporting that. He's feeling a lot better heading into twenty twenty. One seems to be in a much better place down here in tampa this team. The buccaneers could easily repeat. And there's so many things that can happen through nfl season. i'm just saying as currently constructed. They are an excellent roster on the offense they have a very very strong offensive line. One of the best right tackles in the league and kristen. Words big sigh big sigh but yes they do. Have one of the best right tackles in the league. One of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. Bruce arians is a really really solid coach. They have skill position players. All over the place at tight end. They have three very capable tight ends with oj. Howard cameron breed and rob gronkowski. Oj howard coming back from that achilles injury. You have that trio of receivers with antonio brown. Mike evans and chris godwin menu have role players. Like scotty miller. And then you're running back. Leonard four balled out last year. Ronald jones the third and now you bring in giovanni bernard to be really legit down back because for whatever reason leonard fournette was one of the most inefficient third-down backs we saw when he was with the jacksonville jaguars twenty nineteen operating in that role. And then we don't know what's up what ronald jones third he just always drops the football maddening. It's very very frustrating. But you have giovanni bernard we know tom brady has used that type of running back so much throughout his career. Obviously james white comes to mind. You can go back to shane. Marine who giants fans pretty. Well kevin falk. If you want to go back to the early days of tom brady. We remember these types of players. Were pass catching backs and how they failed..

"One day after the giants second preseason game a seventeen thirteen loss to the cleveland browns. We're going to do a couple of things here on today's show. We'll talk a little bit about sunday's game. Want to point out that that chris fleming joe daley own did a quick post game. Podcast on sunday. If you haven't listened to that please go back and do so. Also chris joe and nick lotto will be putting together a film review podcast which should air on tuesday so please look forward to that. Give that a listen as well couple of things that we're going to do here today. We're going to play some audio for you from the post game on sunday. We'll hear from head coach. Joe judge we will also hear from wide receiver kick returner special team gunnar and now defensive. Back matt cole. After he played basically both sides of the ball played on all three groups on sunday. Kohl's a guy who's been impressive In his couple of weeks with the giants after being waived by the new york jets. So we'll hear from him as well. We will also look at the giants week ahead as they end their preseason this week finishing that up with a game against the new england patriots on sunday. Evening at metlife stadium all right just a few things here quickly guys. That were impressive yesterday. In addition to coal on the offensive side of the ball was really impressed by devante booker. Thought that for the first time booker really showed why the giants were in such a rush to to sign him thought that that the wide receiver competition really didn't get a whole lot of clarity on on sunday. Coal impressed in his variety of roles. David sills had another nice day. Cj board continues to be a critical special teams player for the giants. John ross continues to be injured so really interesting how the giants are going to shape. The wide receiver backups. How many wide receivers. They're actually going to keep on. The roster was actually impressed by much of the work of the backup offensive. Line was good to see veteran. Backup center jonathan harrison. Play the entire game after missing a lot of time this camp with an undisclosed injury. Kenny wiggins and and and ted larsen are both veteran. backed up. guards don't know if either of those guys will make the roster to be honest with you but they are both players. Who know what they're doing you know larson's a guy who was making his his preseason debut for the giants didn't grade tremendously well when it came to pro football focus but he's a guy who can both guards can play center offers. That kind of versatility knows what he's doing could be the kind of player that you want as a as a backup in an emergency situation so all in all thought that the offensive line played pretty. Well feel a little bit better about the about the depth. After watching sunday's game still think the giants will be looking on the waiver wire to to to perhaps upgrade that as we get closer to week one against the denver broncos but but thought that it was an encouraging performance by some of the the backup offensive lineman on the defensive side of the ball really impressed by the pass rush work of oceans immunise. Not so much. The edge setting against the run. That's an area where x has always seemed to struggle in that continues. Carter coughlan on the inside. Linebacker spot played really well. Couple of guys that got mentioned after the game by coach. Joe judge were defensive. Tackle david moa and linebacker. Trent harris not sure either of those guys can make the roster but they were both mentioned by joe. Judge also worth noting that ian rapoport. Nfl insiders reporting that some nfl teams have inquired with the giants about place. Kicker ryan santoso. Who isn't going to beat out graham gano but if he could bring the giants let's say a sixth seventh round draft pick in the upcoming draft. That might be worth considering for the giants. So we'll see what happens with santos though as it works out. The giants are heading to new england this week. Which happens to be a place kicker. Needy team so we'll see if anything develops there all right. Let's do this. Let's get right to the audio from joe judge. We're going to hear from joe judge. We're going to hear from matt cole. I will hear from judge talking about coal and talking about the the week that the giants spent working with the browns. Now probably not competed. He's guy scott here. Special teams offense or defense ages says yes sir. A hundred percent you know. We're sitting there looking at the amount of guys you're gonna play saying we a debt. Someone who's going to be an issue in the hot day with a lot of snaps and you always turn out. Say let's back lot lot on punt returner. Play has goner to see what he's got. You know you asked me. I've had experience doing for sears. And training camp and guys that have stuck around wanting impressed us. Was you know. He didn't blink out there. Get the ball through a couple of times. Nice tackle stopped short. They're enforcing feel so you know. Obviously hells a little bit noodle and he got a crash course last defense and some meetings but probably went up. Think yeah i think our entire roster we great quality working. it's quality opponent of the practice of jacksonian. We need to come out here. High-intensity high volume bill nor conditioning. Our fundamentals competitive rate about seen young guys play in competitive situation the entire game and she didn't really played for sixty minutes. That gives you a really good extended view these players not only early or in some small glimpses but extended how they make adjustments in games. Heather respond different situations for minute for the defense to minute. For the offense you can see a lot of players. Elevate their game this entire week and yesterday it's definitely a lot of push on a roster at different positions. You a lot.

"I'm gonna mention now their corners i think some of the finest corners in the north. I would say that. Marcus peters on the left side of marlon humphrey on the right or pretty darn solid. Are you going. Cleveland or pittsburgh tony or are you keeping the baltimore ravens number three. It's getting going again like last week. I have to agree with shannon. I think the raymond said a darn good defense. It's more it's more about. What the other teams how good they are. Instead of how bad the ravens are going to said they have the best pair of corners. In i think in a division of course maybe even in football and humphrey in repeaters and of course jimmy. Smith is a great veteran. I mean the fact that at your number three. I guess he's a reserve whatever. That's pretty darn good in your safe. Is you're solid defensive. Line is solid. Although it's getting up there in age with guys like williams in in in campbell. But overall i think i like i like from penn state as far as his potential eljay for tonight's veteran reserve at a line. But i guess we'll linebacker for them. But i think overall the third best defense in the afc north nets again. That's more of a complement to the other ones in it as an insult to them. I really thought that they had a nice draft a really dead. I struggled with it. I'm glad i don't have a vote. Because i'm not so sure about the cleveland browns. So tony go ahead give us number two is going to be cleveland or done with pittsburgh. Sound like homer. But i have to go with cleveland because i have a tremendous amount of town. Obviously overall myles garrett is maybe the best him and tj water competing for the two best defensive players in the afc north. Maybe even football if you if you If aaron donald decided to retire but even if he doesn't just still up there in a lot of i liked. I liked secondary I can't think of his name over in front of me denzel award. I like him a lot. I think he's a good good young corner day of a greedy williams coming back after after being hurt last year and grant delta these both second round picks they were both hurt last year senator coming back to their unknowns but they're talented unknowns so they could really may have them take a step forward drafted greg newsom. Who's already at the top of up short. i don't know if that's good or bad for them so amazon. A defense number. Two all right shannon. Are you going to concur with mr deaf l. Oh yeah. I i think that cleveland with Garett has got a pass rush. Then you have warned. You have talent spread around I think they have a better pass rush in baltimore. I think that's one of the things that baltimore lost this off season. And but i've eight pittsburgh's the class of the division on defense they've got all-pros or all pro pro bowl level players ever position just about On the david's line at linebacker corner an at safeties so yeah i think pittsburgh's a class the number one in that vision all right. He said it. He's already Talked about pittsburgh now. You talk about pittsburgh. Tony as well and i know you a little bit. Is there anything else you wanna say about the steelers defense. I mean there. There's some concerns of course at cornerback with steven nelson gun james peers. Such an unknown justin lanes Obviously an known as well I'm comfortable with cam sutton azzura as your as your slot quarter. I don't think he's going to be a good. Might kill him but then again you never know you finally getting getting a chance. But i mean he might wind up being being the number two corner offices. Joe haden i if if the other guys don't step it up so there's some unknowns there and of course alex smith is is you don't know what he's going to be able to do in the second year but i ve very very excited about him. And i'm excited about devin bush coming back in if he if he could take his game to another level that level that they thought that he would eventually get you a when traded up for a couple of years ago. I mean that's be a huge difference maker of course fitzpatrick's the best safety. Maybe in football. So it's hard to top him in. Edmonds is getting better every year. So i think that pastor is going to be pretty darn good again to it. Had eleven hayward had four but he he he takes on a he makes it look good just by the fact that he so so active and dynamic fifty sticks axe again. But i think they're going to be there. They're going to be right where they've been the last three or four years as far as pressuring the quarterback they just bring it from so many different places. It's hard to even with bud. Dupree gone it's going to be hard to slow down that pass rush. I think all right. That's very good. Thank you for ranking those last week we ranked the divisions from eight to one and we concurred that the afc north was the best division in all football. And we didn't just. We didn't just look at offense defense last week. We looked at the division. So we're not gonna do that this week. I thought we would do something fun this week. And you guys have no clue what i'm going to do here. And so i love this spring that on you but one thing that shannon. Tony of always told me that they don't care if i just throw something on them because this is a var conversation and we can have lots of fun with us so when we come back after the break. We're going to go ahead and take each position in the national football league's. Afc north in. We are going to put together an all. Asc north team on defense and we are going to do it objectively so we can go ahead and put that team together. We're going to do that next. It could be some fumbling around since we're we're not we're not putting together but i think that's more fun because we do know these teams we do know these defenses I am going to make fun of one of my best friends in the world here. Tony it is owed fait. Jason is now odor. Fay so that's I thought i'd give you say wrong. I think owed f. I tried to read the names. Yeah you told me. I got your back i apologize dave shipley five dollars tony. You're anybody going to do a saturday. Newton show call my day. And i tell you guys i'm gonna conference call makes my day and i tell you guys. I'm on a conference call. Here's the thing. Tony is not going to be doing a sunday saturday show. He's going to continue to be on monday evenings. Excuse me you will be on monday. Evenings with myself and shannon white. he's to continue to be on friday evenings with the six. Pack tony semi so. Hey as much as i love to eat. I'd rather i'd rather have a cold. One steeler beat nation than brunch with them. So that's what we're doing there. We are going to have an audio only show so check that out. It is going to be a three man show with chris. Joe and paul they They have ohio ties. But they're pittsburgh steelers fans their true black and gold guys but they've got a nice little ohio perspective they are going to be showing up with a power half hour and there're gonna be power rankings and lots of fun. Check that out in our new fall season. So it's not gonna be tony but there's going to be a show but let's take a break. We're going to do that right now if you're on youtube if you're on facebook tang tight we're going to be right back with we're gonna take a quick stretch. Download us if you're checking us out on any of our audio only shows if it's you get your favorite podcast where there'd be apple. "And for the rights of all americans and i'll texans to express their voice through their vote unencumbered. I do believe that. Fighting for the right to vote is as american as apple pie. The us vice presidents come harrison speaking yesterday. Well let's get more on this now with linda chavez former white house adviser to ronald reagan. She joins us on the line from maryland. A monaco's news editor chris. Joe mack is right here with me in studio one of midori house in london and chris will just come to you first of all i guess. Set the background. We heard comma harris talking about fighting for the right to vote as american as apple pie as for making you. Hungry just reminded exactly what's happening in texas well. There's so much to talk about here. In terms of background saw give just a little bit of a summary really to step back. There's just a major battle going on right now in the us at the state level at the federal level and within the courts about how to reform changes to the us voting system and it really just demonstrates how fractious and really cross purposes politics in the us is working right now on the federal level you have a voting rights act that is trying to be pushed through by democrats this is stalled installed by republicans and to some degree. Some centrist democrats who sort of nixon earlier more aggressive proposal set federal standards. For how mail. In ballots and other things should be regulated. Then on the other hand you have state efforts which is led more by many republican led legislatures going in the other direction if you will trying to restrict mail in voter access And that's that's where the you know this. Texas case that that you referred to at the top there comes comes in democrats have literally left the state of texas in order to prevent a republican legislature their republican controlled legislature from obtaining corum so that they can actually have a vote on their version which is which is trying to restrict Mail in ballots in particular limit voting in in certain circumstances. And frankly it has to say that all of this you know just highlights this this breakdown in the us political system at the moment this inability to confront. What are very real issues that you know. You could have a nonpartisan discussion about when mail in ballots are valid when the pandemic has raised a of these issues. Of course how much of this should remain going forward. How easy should it be. What kind of voter. Id laws should you have or not. You know. in in order to guarantee that the election is safe there are some real discussions there but they're not really being had at the moment because you're just having both sides really sort of just trying to use whatever. Their power base is in order to get their way through and then on just quickly and on top of that you then have a whole bunch of court efforts right as well that are also going on on the one hand court efforts to punish lawyers and others in donald trump's orbit who have pushed the most outlandish claims about november's elections as we have mentioned right at the top of the show And then on the other hand you have the political side which we can. We can talk about this conference of the conservative political action committee cpac on sunday where donald trump appeared which is the political side which is still pushing many of these claims that the november election was fraudulent sixty eight percent of republicans believe that the election was fraudulent according to pose and that's that was a narrative that really continue to characterize the political rhetoric on the republican side. Well let's bring linda chavez in on exactly that point and linda risk of mixing food metaphors. We had apple pie. it's been a political hot potato this kind of reform for some time. What does trump's intervention mean. Chris mentioned this weekend. His pronouncements more broadly on allegations of electoral fraud which he repeated as the specter of trump returns to the stage. What does that mean for. The prospects of a meaningful dialogue. As chris has just mentioned there. Well i think dialogue on voting rights. Right now is stalled. And you have to polar opposites you have democrats claiming that any changes To pre pandemic voting rolls signal. A return to jim crow and the denial of votes to blacks and other Americans and on the a right you have a people claiming that there is widespread fraudulent of voting that took place in the last selection and that it in fact stole the election from president trump. So those are irreconcilable differences The extremes of both parties can never get together on this. But i think the american public is quite aware that the election was not stolen. chris's right some polls have shown that a large majority of the republican base Still believes the election was stolen but van. Republican base is shrinking People are in fact leaving the republican party. And i think you know. Come twenty twenty two. We'll see How successful the republicans are In sort of pushing back and Trying to regain control at least of the house of representatives But it remains to be seen that they're going to be successful at that History was suggests republicans would pick up seats but we've never seen an electorate Or american politics quite as royal as they are right now. We'll lindo on that point about regaining control if we're not looking at political institutions what about the way. The gop seeks to regain take control of the narrative. How do they deal with trump. Because i know we talking there about people abandoning the party and maybe his committed base being a little bit smaller and squeeze more day by day but is it politically expedient for motorists within the gop or the political mainstream if you like the party rank and file to set themselves at some distance from trump given. He's still banging this drum. Well he's still banging the drum but you sort of wonder if it's not in an empty concert hall The fact is donald. Trump's speech was carried on fox news channel over the weekend but fox news channel had to have a disclaimer at the bottom of the screen. Basically refuting what. The president was saying about the election. and it was not carried widely You know unless you were really committed to seeing this you could go on youtube and you could watch The president's speech shot. I happen to have read the full transcript of the speech. But he's doesn't have the kind of access to the american electorate the broad electorate that he wants did you have to go to one of his rallies or you have to be absolutely committed to hearing what he has to say to find him. He's just not out there on twitter or on their front pages of the newspaper every day. and i think that's overtime is going to have make a difference workers. Let me come back to you on that point. And then do you think that this marginalization if you like of trump means that he becomes less effective as an operator may be more of a media than a political one. And do you think that there's an opportunity here to divorce him and the gop's own infighting institutionally from the pressing need for these reforms to continue more broadly across the united states. Well i think when it comes to the reforms. That's that's a separate issue..

"chris joe" Discussed on Behind the Steel Curtain

"A daily fantasy the like we do on fan dole and those other outlets he's going to be talking about all things fantasy football not just talking about the steelers on that show but the steelers upcoming opponent because remember when you're watching the game and you play fantasy football. It's okay to have somebody from the other team. That other teams gonna score. When was the last time that the steelers shutout another team in back to back weeks. It doesn't happen. Somebody's going to score so it might as well be your player too. So he'll tell you if you have somebody on that other team who you should start against the steelers and who it would be fruitless to start against the steelers as well and he could talk about other players. So that's gonna be really great a welcome eight. We've got a writer. Dai crew coming on on wednesdays at noon on thursdays we talked about mattie pepperell. He is going to move the cap rome. Excuse me the war room from five pm. When on wednesdays. Two thursday at noon. You're going to continue to have maddie talking about the dollars and cents situation of the steelers as well as who is upcoming in next year's draft. It's never too early to learn some of these names who he's thinking because he's already thinking about these guys when it's amazing jeff. A lot of people did not know who kendrick green was until friday night around. Nine ten o'clock when the steelers drafted him back on april thirtieth mattie several featured him on that week's war room. So that's what you're getting from. Mattie pepperell in this show guys that we don't know about absolutely on fridays. This is a show that i'm definitely excited. About what inside talking about. And that is. I hope my yinzer was fine. So we have a gentleman from originally from union town and he has hooked up with another comedian and they are out of hollywood now and they're big time steelers fans and they sent me a demo for what you're talking about. It's going to be a different show. It's going to talk about social media. Social media can get crazy at times. You saw it get crazy this week with a lot of things going on and when you're talking steelers we wanna know who's talking about the steelers. There might be some guests on people. Talking about the steelers on social media that perspective with devon bush on twitter with every yes with everything they are going to break down that side. It is going to be more of less of a podcast and more of a show. There's going to be. They're going to have character names. They're not gonna be crazy character names but it's going to be picture to users on a porch with an armed city just talking about the steelers. I'm sorry not the steelers the steelers you know so. That's what this show is going to be about. I am really excited for kyle. And his crew in this show. It's going to be great. Then on saturday's we're going to have another show we We had when we put out talent search. We got a lot of people with some existing shows. We have some gentlemen. We have chris joe and paul. We're we call them. They will high ends. They are based out of ohio. One one is out of. Excuse me joe's out of mississippi. Paul actually lives in pittsburgh. And chris's and ohio chris. A writer for usa. Today these guys are very good as far as knowing not only the steelers but knowing the ohio teams to they are diehard steeler fans. But they're going to get that perspective as far as ohio goes as well but what this show is going to be called is the steelers power half hour and what the steelers power half hour is they're going to be power ranking something different each week as far as the steelers. It could be top five young players one week. It could be top-five ugliest uniforms one week. That's probably an off season show but they are also going to take a young player and compare them to a classic steeler. That's there's going to be benchmarks in that show. That's gonna be really interesting every single show that i mentioned here jeff. They have their own theme and their own hook when we asked for demo tapes when we asked people to come in we asked them to have a specific theme for their show. We don't want we're just gonna talk about steelers and whatever happens happens. No these are shows with formats. That are going to be really exciting to listen to. And you're going to be able to pick or choose if you can't listen to them all. I love free list. Them all but you're going to pick what you like the most and you're everybody's going to have a different flavor that they to. Hey when you go for ice cream you like a different flavor. This is what you're going to get a bts's you're going to get so many different flavors for me. I like all kinds of flavors. Mix them up in one bowl. So i'm listening to all of these shows. Yeah in the one thing and to be completely honest obviously is the senior editor of the website. And i kind of have my hand and everything. I was a part of the interview process for all of these except for one. I missed the one interview with the ohio ohioans. But i the one thing that brian and i talked about before. We even put out a question for what other podcasts. What other shows could we possibly add. We wanted like he said unique different. So that you're not getting the same thing over and over again. The same thing over and over again is okay in some instances but what we tried to do across the board in. That's not just these thirty minutes shows that we're adding but also with the curtain call in how they've gone through in abroad guests bringing guests we upcoming games during the regular season. They've done the draft that way. They've gone through the draft. Picks it's different. You're not getting the same thing The preview is just different in in and of itself So everything should be different. We wanted so that you're not like oh well they're just gonna talk about the same thing. No it's it's totally different. So i'm really excited. I know. brian's relief cited brian we'll have They'll talk to you about the steelers people. That's where the preview. So if you wanna check out the steelers preview please do so. It will be on our audio platform. Friday at noon. Or if you wanna watch us live on youtube. You can find youtube thursday night around nine. Pm eastern time just go to youtube search bt sc steelers radio annual find our channel subscribe..

"Out bright so who knows again if he was ever asked again if it was joan that he saw but there was another witness. Who did see somebody trying to get into the house. Allegedly i would think if he picked joe out of the lineup. We'd hear about it same with david. Silence about a lot of these topics are the are the clue i think. So hugh And again that's religious. So glaring is there's no evidence is either accepts. Rosen chris joe at the mall saying he said he was there to kill a girl. I'm just reading michelle. No hit or miss it on a photo array or lineup is brady but should be turned over. Yeah that his wasn't turned over either Right so was any of that corroborated. Eric not sure what that's too. Yeah michelle thing. The biggest issue to her as a prosecutor. None of these lineups thing turnover and we know about the george hale lineup the first one is a tweet oldman's special by hale said. He identified cop and told dwayne. That cop was one of the league detectives that he saw leaving So no one hundred outline wasn't turned over right that things gone. Yeah i mean you have any thoughts on any of these witnesses or lineups thing my experience prosecutors even when they have a son confession go to the most prosecutors when they have a strong case not only will they have these on confession they will bring in every bit of evidence every bit of biological evidence every witness statement everything they can't because they don't want anything possibly get thrown out or discredited by the defense in this case they kept the lot out didn't introduce a lot of the kept the defense in the dark on what on what exactly they had. Anyway i mean the strength to their case basically was a confused homeless broke. Eighteen year olds confession but changed his story. Throughout zoos. Alluded to still gaining. No can't get his story straight and that was what convicted david wright as a so grossly unfair. Because there's nothing time. David to this. Except joe and joe's just lying through his face he can't tell the truth to save his life. Yeah so so. Josh is saying he allegedly made a hundred dollars on a penny. I don't remember that. I know that was like what was rumored. I don't do as remember if that was the. It's written on a hotel receipt. They hand wrote one hundred dollars point a one they said the bill was like fifty seven dollars and seventy six cents or something and he gave them the penny so he could get a quarterback. I wouldn't think to do that. I would do it if it was china. One or something. Give many friends. Joe and josh. You're saying right now. Joe couldn't you that mouth. Which mel definitely believe. I don't think that or that now. They can't thrown down hugging. Yeah i don't think he may have wanted a quarter for the payphone. That's true nice. Nice catch aaron. That is possible. If the you know y'all easy payphones. We discussed that that it may be needed to make a call but at the same time is he really calculating what is total is right even the one in the jacket process putting down that we have a receipt. We don't know that. Joe physically ever checked himself right now. We don't know i. We have the hotel manager testifying as to what the receipt says and the timing on the receipt that is odd on and she said the hotel clock could be ten to fifteen minutes. Minutes offers just seems weird to me. How does that happen on a universal clock on a computer. It's ten to fifteen minutes off on one end of the day in twenty five to thirty minutes off in the on the other end of the day. That's that's absurd so shout ham. Need i think it says cams. I'm guessing tammy alexander gains might. Tammy do assembly faults Questions real quick dewey. Three have a videotape of the hypnosis. Tim or anything here. Lord take your we only have george hale saying this is what happened we have no record of it at all. Okay the videotapes. Nothing they didn't even audiotape most things. Yeah i'm saying that. Seems like something in line what they would tape since they take the site does it. You know just the way. They're going the importance of right jarrett's so back to the hotel for one second if someone's just wants no. Is there really already from everything we've gathered. We have now idea. No we don't know we've never heard from anybody who has done to the party and joe did a friends anyway. So wouldn't now highly doubt it would have been a part of us throwing. He was staying with inox his best friend summer. She wasn't invited to the party right. Yeah so i who knows joe. I mean josh. Can you may be answering the guy i mean. Joe didn't have any friends. Allegedly i mean i know you come around him because david guys by the joe have friends Josh you can answer that someone in the chat. No no joe take them to find the night. What john danny what. Y'all think about the nights color mixed up. The knife is changed. The dimensions of the knife changed the location. Changed the style of the night. Jiang right you know. they're they're quick horrid crime scene. They're quick to discredit immediately. That a knifeless swiped across the bill to white blood off of it but then they're trying speak to witnesses may have information and push them into pointing out different knives that it was similar to like sue said it was. The knife that was initially presented was a a knife of the three point. One inch blade. Which just a think scientifically even the pathologist struggle to find that. There's any plausibility that that knife did the damage to have got yvonne sneck way was caught. Joe did take them to a knife. But we don't rank it allegedly but we don't even know the circumstances around that so that's something that we're is is something that we're trying to chase down track down definitively. Yeah that's definitely one the pants so there's a lot of questions about announce the pants change color from you know from roses initial statement to her trial. Testimony the pants change color The style of the knife change color or changed From one to the other. So.

"I think bank where so my youngest son plays football and on his team. Young man got Cove it so they sent the entire football team home. And they said You guys can't come to school for two weeks and I notified my bosses and they said, Guess what? You can't come back into work until you, you know, test negative and I understand why I write. Even if you're close contact over close contact. You want to be careful. I don't understand where in the collective bargaining agreement when they sat down and they talked about this did they say like, hey, if we don't know if a guy's negative or not, he can play. It just doesn't sound like a smart idea. It really doesn't and That would be an abundance of caution. That would be We're not sure Let's lay back now. We We all need to remember. Durant also had it back when it first came out back when the first kind of hit the scene, so to speak, so You know, we've heard of people getting it twice. He has the antibodies. Can he get it again? I don't really know how that would play out. And if you can't get it again. Can you Spread it to somebody else again. Can you just be carrying it again? Who drives? Yeah, just there's so much that we still don't know about it. That why risk exposing the rest of your team? To that same thing, because, in theory, you went out there and played now everybody who's been on the court. Going up against him has been exposed to it right now. Just teammates, but opponents as well. Yeah, And that could end up shutting down the league for two weeks. You know if if he was positive or if something else happened, so it is very perplexing for me. In Chris Joe Harris Nets guard, he felt the exact same way. Fusing frustrating, bizarre and then for him to the O not start and then be able to come in play and then be taking out again. Really just doesn't make any sense. Did you give any thought? You know I was his situation. We could even any thought to what That may mean for the rest of the team from a contact tracing standpoint, I mean, your guess is as good as mine. I would have said Hey, if he's if he's it in for contact, tracing what do you What the hell is with all of us on the court? Yeah, he had to get Joe and the catch himself there. Uh, he's like, what's going on? And I agree. It doesn't make any sense. So is this like I want to blame somebody because they typically what we do. So do I blame the NBA? Do I blame the Nets? Do I say hey, Katie, You should have told him. I'm not gonna play because they'd all this back and forth could injure me. I don't know. You know, playing the blame game. I don't know who to point the finger at well, I think in that case, Katie very easily could have said that. But he's Trying to be The good guy, and that's right, going out playing and But I don't blame him at all In this. I would just blame the inconsistency of how they continue to handle this with with with. It's not blaming the league, so to speak. It's just making sure Everybody's doing this the right way. Why wouldn't you just Whether it's the league or the individual team. Under these circumstances, you're not playing. It's It's very simple, and I know this is the nightmare right? Like what's everybody's nightmare for tomorrow that Patrick Mahomes test positive in the more ride or Tom Brady has positive in the I'm knocking over Christmas? You have said that in the Alice Fear Absolutely. But Like a deed, tested positive or or being around somebody in contact tracing and all that, like. That's that's the nightmare for not necessarily in the same vein, tomorrow's the Super Bowl. This is regular season but postseason same kind of thing. So I think that's That's why the consistency factor is the lack of consistency is so frustrating. And it's also weird because I thought when all this started that the MBA did the best job of, you know the professional leagues, the finding out a way to do it in the finish the season and nobody tested positive. Had a couple guys that you know, just had to get some wings at a gentleman's club. But outside of that, wasn't you know, they were flawless in the way that they handled it. And then now you see, this type of stuff is just going like, Hey, man, Where is the where you're losing it here like where we're going. You know, if it is, it is crazy. So we have that situation going on with the Nets. And on top of this, the MBA. Steele wants to go forward with its midseason classic. So to speak. We will talk about that. Coming up next. I'm in the golden alongside Cris Carlin. You're listening to prime time on ESPN radio. The countdown to Super Bowl 55 continues all of the defense of front. The linebackers. They've gotta go in harassed..

"Hello? Are you mental? Probably. You know what floor she's on, you can ask could see it. You just told me that looking to switch someone's where you're bringing her valiant gentlemen, start. The Lady's resident should have walked out with your flip flops out your building and just followed her down the street to see where she went Creepy doctor and you'll be fine. Creepy it all use your crew tribe knowledge and father. Mind Chris Joe from you. He was kind of hot. You could pull it. You're out of your mind. Um, no, I guess it's a missed opportunity, right? But like, that's exactly my point is, if you if you swing and miss in your own building, it's kind of like swinging and missing in your favorite bar or restaurant. A place where you're a regular like that. You know, now it's weird, you know, now and most. I think there are a lot of people out there who would see that as a flatter, you know, they'll be flattered, but wow, Thank you. You know, I have a boyfriend or whatever. But there is also Christie's out there who interpret every nice thing that a guy or girl does as creepy now, like I didn't say anything, because I'm afraid of being labeled creepy, But I don't know that. I think that asking a girl out who I don't know. Makes me a creep, right? It just makes me a guy who's interested, and all you have to do is say no. And if I say anything else after that, then I'm a creep. If I wander on her floor, I'm a creep. Yes, I'm a criminal was a bad idea to stalker but asking for numbers like the easiest solution. It's so quick. It's so easy. I'm not gonna do it. You would have to do it in that situation. I just think that it is I hear from women all the time, pretty girls that guy's never approached them. But then I hear from same pretty girls that they don't want guys in their D ems that that's creepy, and it's like or they don't want guys to hit on him, and it's like well You can't have it both ways, right? Like a guy's going to ask if you want Mento ass. They're going to ask if you don't want them, then say no. And if they don't respect that, then they're creepy If they if you say no, and they go away. Well, that was a guy shooting a shot. And that's that's about the only way you're gonna meet somebody these days, you know, so that's what s so I didn't do it because I'm afraid of a label on a lot of people gonna you know, DME now, sama. I'm a Watts, which I was It was it was, But I was exactly Rubio. What you said is she lives in the building. So I don't I don't wanna be that guy. There's one lesson here, Fred. Oh, God.
