That Promo work is always insane as believable. It's serious and he's and he's bad ass while saying when he says Yo I want I want Moxie. Come out. So I look at him in the before I fight him I'm like. "Here with you. On this week's Eddie Trunk podcast Chris Jericho right now you know him from the world of wrestling, you also fronts his own band fosse he has accrues. He's a man of many many talents, and he also has a band now called quarantine where he covers eighties kiss. Here's Jericho to tell us all about it. Chris you there. How are you men? Doing that just you know during the same as you're doing working a lot of home, but still getting out there bit keeping busy and former new bands. You know just do whenever a canister they creative during all of this a twenty twenty events. You know I'm GonNa Talk to you of course about music and this new band in a second here but I gotta ask you this real quick I texted you and told you this a few weeks ago I'm clicking around and I stumbled upon you wrestling in your new league on TV, and it was the most bizarre thing because you were doing it. With no audience with no fans, which I imagine as a performer that you are was a true test on your acting ability to be able to conjure all that up, and how weird it must be to be wrestling with no energy or re reaction from an audience. What was that like? Well I mean it's one of those things where you got to keep the lights on right and You know I'm sure you've heard or maybe I haven't heard enough to get into it, but wrestling was deemed essential by the governor Florida, so we were able to keep keep going, and you know it's weird because we did actually have some people in the crowd. We some of our crew, guys and stuff, so maybe we had you know ten fifteen people out there, and it was almost like starting out when you go to. You know working in someone's barn or something for you know there's ten fans I'm. Just sitting there silently, but it yeah, it's weird man. It's like putting on a rock and roll, show or being a comedian. The audience is very much a part of the GIG. So you don't have audience there. It is a little bit strange. We have gotten used to it because it's been six weeks or so, but you know I think I'm at the point now. We're pretty soon if you know restaurants at fifty percent and You know all these other place that fifty percent capacity. At maybe at some point, we can start adding fans back in for both wrestling for for rocket. Well, you know we're supposed to be on tour right now. If that we had to postpone, that is July and August, and now postponed even a little bit further, so we don't really know what's going on. So in the meantime we just had a improvises. Just keep it rolling, but yeah, it was really strange man, but I guess we got used to it but I can't wait till we can go back to you. Know Arenas in, and then use that have people screaming and chanting and having a good time. How is it in the wrestling community? Because are you able to? and Are you guys getting like tested like even your opponents in the people in the group, and all of that like what sort of precautions are being taken at that level? Yeah we. We the last week. We were there actually got blood tested so I. It was getting the temperature tests at that sort of thing where they gonna hit you at the temperature gun before you go into the venues over closed. That's just the people involved with the show, but now we have blood tests and the blood test actually take a drop of blood. From your finger and they stick one in each little area was kind of this car looking thing and it tells you a if you have the antibodies currently or be if you have had them, and you're kind of over it, so if you both of those are negatives than than than you're in sort of thing, so excuse weird. WHO's really say. If the test is working or not working, because have have it not even know it's like it's just so so insane but thankfully no one in our company's got sick and everybody's still been able to to you know, continue to work and continue to put on shows that people are excited. TV shows because. Looking for do content. You know there's nothing out there. No sports ever drive as. Much sports, guys you are. You know. You movies contact so I think any type of content you can do That's new and fresh. People are super excited to be involved with it. Appreciate appreciative of it as well yeah I. Mean that's one of the reasons why I stopped on it to cause I'm like wait, is this a live event is actually happening and then I'm watching and then I didn't even know you were going to come out and they said Jericho coming up I'm like wait. I'M GONNA. Stay on this and I'm watching in like. Is this actually happening? Because it was pretty much in? Wrestling pretty much was an is the one I mean I know. There was a NAS race. There was m a fight over the weekend. So some stuff is trickling back, but wrestling really took the lead on it I think. We'd never stopped best thing and we we we. We have been working in Jacksonville because aws companies by the Kong family who owned the Jacksonville Jaguars Sue. We still had this stadium connected to the Stadium Jacksonville is a big amphitheater. were bands play all the time? Cook dailies place, so we were able to basically continue to run their because they don't own the venue, but they run it and then Florida shut down, so he moved to Atlanta, and we still like four weeks. Shows there You know it's just you just keep on, and you had to keep that content out there. Get Keep It. Fresh and new, not just for you know for for storyline ideas, but also for business, or you have these TV contracts together, and have you you content material? So you know like everybody's been doing what they can just improvise. It's like you've been doing your show from home now. It's like now. The new normal is is doing stuff from from your house. You know, and it's we come back to it whenever, but it's. We're talking about quarantine, and no, no, no, the video we did. We shot this video on our on our cell phones and there's really killer. Killer editor that Charlie from anthrax. Who did this amazing video for like a hundred bucks? And meanwhile the thing looks like a cost one hundred thousand dollars, and so that's like if you can make a video that looks that cool for that cheap whenever everything opens up again I'm worried if these directors and all these guys got this concept, two hundred thousand dollars a year, or whatever it is like screw that we could do one hundred bucks on our phones, so how to mention not to mention that everybody is in a different city or state or country. It all together. How much of that have we seen where you? They're not? Even you not even the same room and you're making these videos. and. The quantum project that will discuss I've ever even personally met the guitar player. You know. Every! Gut this cool van. We're all this stuff is going on. It's like this is the new way to form a back now. Right and you can do all this stuff different cities and make all this magic where three months ago. If you released a video on camera, you'd be like you can never earned this as a as a professional video or you know you're watching it live or the filming at home. You never would've able to have that accepted as as you know something that you could air on hassle TV but now all of this stuff is purged. Expected because of the situation work. Yeah well, let's talk about their, so the band is called quarantine of course with K. perfect. You. So I had Bruce Kulich on this show last week, and we touched on this a little bit at that time, but you, of course you and one of the other guys in the band. PJ Farley of a Jersey Guide, known forever from trickster, a great guy and great musician as well so I know I. Know those guys. The two of you don't know the other two guys so well. Although the Guitar Player is from that classic seventy eight band. Yes Okay, so wearing. No Him I've spoken to him. Because here's what I find crazy about that, so he's doing like a total spot on Bruce Killick on this track. No, no, no, but but the whole. If people know classic seventy eight is that whole trip is about making new music that sounds like it stuff. Kiss what a recorded in seventy eight, so he's like one on both hats. Yeah. That's what happens. Is that the the the Corentin were specifically and eighties? Cover band and it's only eighties material that Bruce Kulich played on. That also includes a baiter. Little rules that clues analyze 'cause. Bruce was on that tour. He played a little bit on the record, so we talking about analyze asylum crazy nights. Hot Machines revenge. Car Souls and so so what happened was when you're a huge fan of eighties kissing and you guys. You guys bus like all all the time about how I am as well. We just. We just bust your balls because it's starting. To hear somebody favor that over the seventies, but I can't speak for other people, but I admitted I just talked to. Bruce, in detail about the eighty stuff that probably.

"Wrestling is in town Chris Jericho is the biggest star they've got you can check out all elite wrestling dot com if you wanna take kids or information on what they've got going on at the university of Miami tomorrow that was genuine all of those good feelings Aaron Rodgers was legitimately thrilled to be talking to Chris Jericho and Chris Jericho had no idea and usually this information gets them some point Erin Rogers in anyway had an affinity for what he does well our Stompers during the break that wrestling reaches so many people so many fans so many dads sons whatever that you probably have no idea who is a fan of yours Chris Jericho you probably have no idea who's really a fan of you yeah we were talking about that and I mentioned that when I was growing up in those days that one of my biggest heroes inspirations is Paul Stanley and I always had this kind of dream that Paul's kids would love wrestling and somehow I would get to meet him because of that and become friends and lo and behold about five years of exactly what happened his son Colin was about nine or ten at the time perfect wrestling age was a big fan of of the business and and through certain channels I got to know that and it ended with Paula becoming friends so you just never know who's going to be appreciating your work and when you get that mutual respect like we mentioned with with Erin myself even just have a conversation the two two pros knowing like when he said he waits and he has a a quiet mind like I totally understand that I I feel it from his perspective as a fellow athlete so you get a you get a connection right away and it was it's really cool when when that happens because you never know for sure what were you like around Paul Stanley when you know the first time I met him it was he he he long story short it was a son's birthday and of hooking them up with a couple videos from some guys sent him some ring costumes and Paul said anything I can do and I said I'd love to have you on my podcast so went to Vegas for kiss was doing a residency and the first time we met was fanboy extraordinary like sixty minutes of just whatever I could think of to talk to Paul Stanley about and afterwards he said what you said is that we are great interviewer and we should do this again and that's so you kind of stay in touch this became friends after that I love a role menu go for meeting someone to getting on the podcast that quickly that's how you doing always close frozen Rogers better be on this blog I'm going to work on it how and why was Paul Stanley like what part of your childhood just all of the music and the the music restaurant off the persona this case in the eighties so was it is the kind of the gland kiss the persona the confidence and he he had a quote that I still use to this day used earlier others fall does actually first then I met him what was was it don't ever listen to somebody tells you can't do something because chances are they failed at their dream I'm not gonna tell you can't do something because I did it you can do it and when he said that through the TV screen you can do it he was pointing right at me and I always use that that bit of advice I told Paul that and I still laugh to this day because people now say that quote and and attributed to me meanwhile just ripped off yeah yeah the giants god little bit is the god Horace Mann nothing's original it was a pleasure to have you through here again eighty W. I know my **** to the beach and the ocean tomorrow night university of Miami for tickets and information and it also airs live on TNT the TNT network yes they're coming for Vince McMahon stuff and we're just trying to create our own vibe in we're worried about ourselves and the people really dig it because of that they're coming for Vince McMahon Jericho is Rogers.

"I took time out not even because I knew you were coming in just because I was curious. It's back on Turner it. Just it just felt kind of cool but I'm wondering if you've I'm sure you hear this from some some people. I watched you when you were Y. Two J. I watch you and I was in college. Did you see this coming like this this renaissance for pro wrestling because I didn't like I see it now with new Japan doing what it's doing doing and you guys and w w with energy like it seems like it's cool to be a wrestling fan again. It really is an did start with Japan and I'm not putting too much credit to my I own you know into my own credit box here but when I did the Tokyo Dome Show Jericho versus Omega New Japan world which their subscription service went from thirty five thousand two hundred hundred thousand because people wanted to see that match if you were like at nine one of us hardcore wrestling fan of you were a wrestling fan that paid attention to more than just. Wb You wanted hard to see that match and same with Jogi Dome at six ticket sales went from thirty to fifty five or something like that just from that's called the money match and as a result a lot the people checked out new Japan for the first time to see Jericho versus the Sky Kenny Omega then saw the match Kennedy is amazing but also saw the young Bucks Okada and a Bucci and Qodian you know just Robinson and hangman page and nights on all these guys so new Japan became very hot. When they came to the states it was selling out then this so they were familiar with the cast of characters and then when the Tony Kahn thing came up and he w they kind of knew those characters from New Japan so just by proxy? If you WANNA have have a company that can be an alternative to W I don't say compete because there's no competition they are. WBZ But you need three things you need money. which has I think probably three or four times as much as the Mcmahon family does not that they're gonNA spend nine billion dollars but they obviously very successful business and I have a lot of contacts be you need talent by the luck of the draw there was s eighty six or eight legit top guys you had that all of them came for contract at the same time Kenny Matt Jackson Jackson Cody Hangman Page Jericho okay then you need tv because of the connections that the cons avenue and in a Chris Jericho the TNT exempts new plus the money plus the buzz suddenly were on TNT now now you have something that made us cool especially since WB like they've been around so long with their business practices? They are kind of like the snooty Guy on the block that used to be cool but it's really not that's how some people see it. They see a W. We're the fawns we're the coolest kids on the block now little bit revolutionary and people select to be involved from the start and last night was the first time in any of our lifetimes unless you're I don't know seventy sixty where you can say I saw the first episode of a Major League company Kazeem. You're talking. WBZ They were the www F- in the fifties sixties WCW used to NWEA which is from the twenties. Maybe if you're the start of the east w started and Bingo halls this is legit our very first show ever as legit mainstream company was at a sold out for eighteen eight thousand seater arena. That's never happened before that means the businesses cool more importantly. Aws Cool did I see it coming no but I see the pieces that led to this this were the momentum was building at. I really do believe it started with new Japan that was taken to the next level by Gericault Versa Mega January fourth two thousand eighteen one thing that a lot aww fans talk about an ice relate to this in fact I was an internet. Hbo Sports in Two Thousand Three and I was sitting in a room where they were screening tape and they're watching oprah wrestling footage and I said to them what is watching wise. HBO Watching footage and they were doing a story on wrestlers who were dying young. I don't know if you've ever saw this piece contained goes and interviews interviews Vincent man he hits the papers at hand. Roddy Piper says let's be honest and five years. I'M NOT GONNA be here and he ended up being sort of right amis kind of a morbid thing but these days I feel like it's it's not I don't know I feel like there was a point where everyone that the raiders were unhealthy and I feel like it's an the these days it's been kept under control my right on this. It's one of those things like athletes in the seventies rockstars in the seventies Russia's and seventies and eighties and nineties saying rock and roll. You don't see a lot of heroin overdoses in rocket yeah you. I noticed that yeah the twenty seven club Jim Morrison shop and Kurt Cobaine. You don't get a lot of that. the ninety s was the last heroin decade you see that with Wile and passing away in Andrew Wood and Chris Cornell guys in the thirties down aren't like that and it's like that in wrestling to people make jokes guys go with the rooms and play video games now. It's really true I mean when I first started. It was one foot in the old school new school. Guys were doing rails drank these to tell you put you put your thumb in your beer bottle. I'm putting my thumb in the top of the beer bottle because if you don't you turn away for second some is going to drop a Halcion and you drank drank a pass. Shave your eyebrows or worse. That was an everyday occurrence every day. It's just how it was not a healthy environment plus. Those guys wrestling used to travel. I'm probably exaggerating a little bit but they're on the road. Let's say three hundred days a year and they used to have the Star of David routing as as the caller still do Detroit then we're down to Dallas the Chicago then moved to Seattle them moreover to Atlanta. There was no rhyme or reason to the travel. The travel was hard. Lifestyle was hard. There's a lot of money the drug culture eighties eighties so there was a lot of guys that kind of did die very young because of that my generation a lot of my generation have died died because of that I was never into drugs. I was never really into steroids. I like to drink but I'm not an alcoholic. I might drink three or four times a week but if I have to stop up from two or three weeks I can do that very lucky. Never Pill Guy a lot of my contemporaries weren't that lucky guys underneath me. saw what happened with guys my I generation even worse the guys at the general before me or like we don't want that to happen to US plus. There's very strict drug tests in. WB especially after Eddie Guerrero died from a large art no more steroids no cocaine. No We'd you take what was I taken for like synthroid for thyroid thing. I've Yeti ended approved like everything so it's legit legit. It's legit yeah that might be Kinda. Be the better for me legit legit if I wanted to get his replacement therapy yet you know forty eight years old which you kind of have to start thinking about to there's no way you gotta go through the process okay so. I think that it's calmed down. Guys are much more concentrated on the art form of wrestling you can see how the rest thing is evolved over the years as a result too because of this windfall of money guys guys are making more money than ever ever the making money that they should be getting paid like Majit mainstream. NFL players NHL players player whatever so I think the business always changes and now we're at a point in guys more healthy they're more involved in the training and art form and and they're getting paid with this should be getting paid and especially in our company. We work once a week. The need for these live shows live events as w he calls them. Why do you do them? Why even bother what's the point? You don't make money on them. It just busy work for the guys and every wrestler has a bump card when you punch. Is that bump card you get to the end your bump card. You're done you don't get your done you finished so I think the way that the business is changing to more TV business with more money less stress and more of an athletic peaceful mindset. I think the business is the best place ever been right now. I have to ask because you said something that kind of if it piqued my interest because it's a thing in mixed martial arts as well you said of never really into steroids right. Were you ever intercept back in the day I mean I think you know you're talking the nineties every everyone was doing everyone but every almost every kid who you're lifting weights. You're going to give it a try right sure to me I did. I did have a baby one or two cycles a year. Because I was always I was always in good shape anyways and I was never going to be a muscle guy but when you figure nineteen ninety ninety ninety one ninety two it was still about the six eight giants yeah so at five foot eleven bay maybe five ten and a half I figured at least I'd look the part right right so I still train hard and those pretty easy crazy. I'm saying to Jerry Lynn last believe we used to be high fliers. Do One flip now. It's it's like learned that with a with a with an arm drag right but I mean it was yeah it was it was just it wasn't even party that he didn't ever told me you have to take steroids. Don't ever said it. I never really did but take a few here and there and but trained heart and you know I was just had good genetics for that so it wasn't hard for me to not do steroids when you weren't allowed to because I never really did much to them. anyways dabble rain the smaller guy cruiserweight. That's why I really got behind did you right when I came to. WWe But like when I started I was a small yet but when I went to Mexico's frigging giant Japan it was two hundred and twenty pounds five foot eleven even in Mexico. There's not a lot of guys that size same thing in Japan too so but when I came and W W definitely crews away type of thing is that what just where they would dump you if they didn't understand what you were doing. Ben was accrues wait for a while to the guy was probably two hundred thirty pounds and then they started realizing that it's not about your weight's about how you connect with the fans and then that whole weight thing I just want the window as it should have you know but when I came in I remember seeing one-two-three Keshav men in probably ninety three in those on my gosh he actually one one. You'd never see a you know you can tell us pretty scrawny. Guys Tall didn't have the typical look and he won because he was so damn good in the ring and that's when the whole paradigm shift happened with X. Park and then Shawn Michaels being world champion Bret Hart being a world champion than it wasn't about your size it was about your work rate and your connection with the audience liens. When were you the happiest in your career probably right now really yeah more so than anything UNDIS- I always have I always answer that because always always because as what's? What's your favorite Arab projectors now because if I'm if I'm saying well back then then I'm not paying attention to what right now I've had a lot of happiness? When did you wasn't a happy time? It wasn't a very stressful time and I wasn't ready for it. It was placed in a position where it was kind of a failing position not in a bad way but in like it wasn't the focus of the show as undisputed. ESPN champion should be to get actually hurt you more than it helped. You didn't hurt me but it didn't help me. It was something that if I hadn't completely reinvented let you figure this. I won that championship. Happy chip beat the rockets the same night okay great those two thousand one yeah I didn't win the world championship again until two thousand and eight thousand nine. I think it was and things like that. That's a seven year yeah so a lot of people in the world title once and then they never see again and that drove let me crazy and I went through a lot of trials and tribulations so when I finally did world a win win the world title again which I believe was the fall of two thousand eight so let's say seven years later it was in a long time coming so I wasn't as good then as I was in two thousand eight a Muslims good into Nita's I am now but the two thousand eight nine suit and tie Jericho Shawn michaels mysterious feud was a great time period. The cabins thing was awesome. I love minute Japan experienced in two thousand eighteen. I love doing right now. There's been a lot of great levels of success. You remember when they told you you were going to win. The undisputed like it was yesterday. What can he tells the story? Well you know when people win the world title that was their families and the audience celebrations. Why didn't have anybody else because I didn't find out for sure until that afternoon while show and I found sounded we're at catering this is back when Vinci's to eat with the guys in catering and he was standing like where he could totally I could hear him and who stand with undertaker and he said take her? Are you know how you know that the business.

"I'm not always gonNa tell you what you WanNa hear but give you my opinion if you want it after twenty nine years of being on the job. I'll be happy to give give it to you. I'll always tell you some positives but I'm GonNa tell you some negatives as well back in those days either all negative or guys that are just whitewashing rushing you that was great really everything's great. You wouldn't challenges thing so either just lying or you didn't watch. You're saying he did so. I never wanted to be like that and they were guys. Certain guys are always very cool to me. like for example cogan always honest great to work with a great guy who gives the feedback into the stay still does well so. I was Kinda wanted to be more him and you know he has a reputation for some as being indeed with me was always very honest surprised to hear you say that from the start really from the start to this day and I always remembered that on and so if people ask me advice. I'll tell them what I really feel anything. That's those resigned very valuable to to Awa because once again if if the top guys are cody Kenny Young Bucks Hangman page they need Chris Jericho the Nina Dustin rose even even Jon Moxley Dean Ambrose to mean he he still needs a little advice to once in awhile is thirty four years old so there's only a certain handful of guys that have been working as long as I have that I still relevant still have the respect of the guys in the locker room that aren't office which puts you in a different world like give the straight story and I do and every time someone comes asked me what I thought if I've watched the match. I'll give them pros and cons. If I haven't seen off say I haven't seen it. But what did you think about it. Tell tell me what your thoughts are. you know I was I was I used to watch everything pro wrestling when I was in college younger than that of course now that I cover him a May. I don't have as much time I watched last night. I took time out not even because I knew you were coming in just because I was curious. It really is did start with Japan and I'm not putting too much credit to my I own you know into my own credit box here but when I did the Tokyo Dome Show Jericho versus Omega New Japan world which their subscription service went from thirty five thousand two hundred hundred thousand because people wanted to see that match if you were like at nine one of us hardcore wrestling fan of you were a wrestling fan that paid attention to more than just. Wb You wanted hard to see that match and same with Jogi. Dome at six ticket sales went from thirty to fifty five or something like that just from that's called the money match and as a result a lot the people checked out new Japan for the first time to see Jericho versus the Sky Kenny Omega then saw the match Kennedy is amazing but also saw the young Bucks Okada and a Bucci and Qodian you know just Robinson and hangman page and nights on all these guys so new Japan became very hot. When they came to the states it was selling out then this so they were familiar with the cast of characters and then when the Tony Kahn thing came up and he w they kind of knew those characters from New Japan so just by proxy. If you WANNA have have a company that can be an alternative to W. I don't say compete because there's no competition they are. WTI But you need three things you need money. which has I think probably three or four times as much as the Mcmahon family does not that they're gonNA spend nine billion dollars but they obviously very successful business and I have a lot of contacts? Be You need talent by the luck of the draw. There was s eighty six or eight legit top guys you had that all of them came for contract at the same time. Kenny Matt Jackson Jackson Cody Hangman Page Jericho okay then you need tv because of the connections that the cons avenue and in a Chris Jericho the TNT exempts new plus the money plus the buzz suddenly were on TNT now now you have something that made us cool especially since WB like they've been around so long with their business practices. They are kind of like the snooty Guy on the block that used to be cool but it's really not that's how some people see it. They see a W. We're the fawns we're the coolest kids on the block now little bit revolutionary and people select to be involved from the start and last night was the first time in any of our lifetimes unless you're. I don't know seventy sixty where you can say. I saw the first episode of a Major League company Kazeem. You're talking. WBZ. They were the www F- in the fifties sixties WCW used to NWEA which is from the twenties. I really do believe it started with new Japan that was taken to the next level by Gericault Versa Mega January fourth two thousand eighteen one thing that a lot aww fans talk about an ice relate to this in fact. I was an internet. Hbo Sports in Two Thousand Three and I was sitting in a room where they were screening tape and they're watching oprah wrestling footage and I said to them what is watching wise. HBO Watching footage and they were doing a story on wrestlers who were dying young. I don't know if you've ever saw this piece contained goes and interviews interviews Vincent Man. He hits the papers at hand. Roddy Piper says let's be honest and five years. I'M NOT GONNA be here and he ended up being sort of right amis kind of a morbid thing but these days I feel like it's it's not I duNno. I feel like there was a point where everyone that the wrestlers were unhealthy and I feel like it's an the these days it's been kept under control my right on this. You don't get a lot of that. the ninety s was the last heroin decade you see that with. Wile and passing away in Andrew Wood and Chris Cornell guys in the thirties down aren't like that and it's like that in wrestling to people make jokes guys go with the rooms and play video games now. It's really true I mean when I first started. It was one foot in the old school new school. Guys were doing rails and drink these to tell you. Put You put your thumb in your beer bottle. I'm putting my thumb in the top of the beer bottle because if you don't turn away for second some is going to drop a Halcion and you drank drank a pass. There's a lot of money the drug culture eighties eighties so there was a lot of guys that kind of did die very young because of that my generation a lot of my generation have died died because of that. I was never into drugs. I was never really into steroids. I like to drink but I'm not an alcoholic. I might drink three or four times a week but if I have to stop up from two or three weeks I can do that very lucky. Never Pill Guy a lot of my contemporaries weren't that lucky guys underneath me. saw what happened with the guys my. I generation even worse the guys at the general before me or like we don't want that to happen to US plus. There's very strict drug tests in. WB especially after Eddie Guerrero died from a large art no more steroids no cocaine. No We'd you take what was I taken for like synthroid for thyroid thing I've yet. He ended approved like everything so it's legit legit. It's legit yeah that might be Kinda. Be the better for me legit legit if I wanted to get his replacement therapy yet you know forty eight years old which you kind of have to start thinking about to there's no way you gotta go through the process okay so. I think that it's calmed down. Guys are much more concentrated on the art form of wrestling. You can see how the rest thing is evolved over the years as a result too because of this windfall of money guys guys are making more money than ever ever the making money that they should be getting paid like Majit mainstream. NFL players NHL players player whatever so I think the business always changes and now we're at a point in our guys more healthy they're more involved in the training and art form and and they're getting paid with this should be getting paid and especially in our company. We work once a week. The need for these live shows live events as w he calls them. Why do you do them. Why even bother what's the point. You don't make money on them. It just busy work for the guys and every wrestler has a bump card when you punch. Is that bump card. You get to the end your bump card. You're done. You don't get your done you finished so I think the way that the business is changing to more TV business with more money less stress and more of an athletic peaceful mindset. I think the business is the best place ever been right now..

"Today's episode of Area Hawaii's. Ma Show contains explicit language that may not be suitable for all audiences. Listener discretion is advised. They took it back in your life on this Thursday October third two thousand and one thousand nine hundred ninety one marijuana. How about this especial Thursday edition of the program. We missed Monday of course because of Russia the Jewish New Year but we had a show yesterday. I told you we're doing this whole new thing here and how about this. This is so exciting for me. Wow What an honored is. I'm going to get right to it. I'm being joined in our studio face to face in this broom closet. They have us in Peon. It's the big time I won't show you a picture of it. It's not quite the big time but this is big time. Chris Jericho's here the man himself Michelle Peo- champion. Let me ask you this if the Jewish new year. I don't Canadians have their own new year to I would say because maybe Judaism's a religion and Canadian so this is a way of life yes every two years when your dad's right fellow Canadian is awesome person face to face what an honor I've never met you name so many times and good things great well mostly mostly good but the bad things would probably a a bad lies filthy lies but I've heard good reputation and I know you. We have mutual friends. That's right so you pretty close to see 'em punk. That's right yeah yeah yeah. This is great great to finally get chance to be in talks with an what am I see how good you really okay. We're about to find out and what a huge coup. This is for us to have you less than twenty four hours yeah from the debut the W on TNT debut book before it gets all of that. I just have to share this so I grew up a huge paroling fan and Canadian from Israel from Montreal my claim to fame by the way Montreal screwed up. I was in attendance kidding. I was there when Brett stuff Kevin. Owens there to maybe or he's at Brown speaking. We have a few I don't enough you notice. We'll get to that later so you were there. I was there. That's my claim to fame but I just grew up loving pro wrestling and everything about it and two thousand one. I'm at Syracuse University the studying to become a broadcaster broadcast journalism and I was taking a course called persuasive speech I think it was called and for our final project project we had to put on a speech and explained people or try to persuade them to do something and my topic was why I use the kids in this class who know nothing about pressing need to watch. WWF VENGEANCE two thousand one and why Chris Jericho is going to be the undisputed the four-way tournament. That was my speech on Nice. I tried to convince these kids not what I'm talking about. I picked that papers to grade. I did get a good place and you prove me to be smart because you ended up winning Z. Because I had heard that there's this kid much less right so I can't let them down. GotTa do it for the kids. That's right. I appreciate that and you were the Darkhorse so I was kind of going out on a limb and then my other Chris Jericho story as I'm playing Chris Farley Paul McCartney. I took my future wife to one of your first. I Five Z concerts in Montreal. Yes in the wintertime. It was in the wintertime thousand tour so I was like I gotTA. I gotTA support you so much real quite a few attempts at Corona theatre. Yes please please since then. That's what so I'm an. Og Fan thank you very much. even though I focus on mixed martial arts as as a lot of similarities which China similarities and we will get to that but first. Let's talk about last night. If you were to grade last night oh man. I like you said this is an exclusive yes Zarem but the woman today this this is the first interview of done since then I mean I I'm obviously biased and I didn't see the whole show you can't when you're performing but what I did busy and for my stuff selfishly. I give it an a plus okay. crowd was off the charts amazing and that always makes such a difference. You can have a great show or a great performance if the crowd isn't over the top hot. It hurts it. If you have a great crowd and in a subpar performance does matter because to me all that matters is what the crowd is reacting to that was off the charts. The look was great. The fact is fourteen thousand one hundred twenty nine people. Whatever what's what's the reaction the performances everything that I saw was amazing but all I can judges my stuff and get a chance once again the reason why I went to aws the first place was to get a chance to make a difference. I could go back to the Delta V. I fit right in like I always have. I'd be slotted where I am. Whatever sometimes in the main event sometimes your first match whatever it is a w the focus is on me to bring people to the show. I feel like I'm a bridge. People see Chris Jericho's on aws is on there. We don't know the bucks czar Kenya Mega or we might have seen cody rose. That was a long time ago Jericho hot. We like him. We know who he is. Let's watch this show and then they see all these other great performers performers and they get involved and that's what I think was the real success of last night is a lot of people gave a w chance of who may be aren't watching TV or watching watching any wrestling anymore and we know this from the analytics analytics that we've done so I think we've created our own fan base and I think there's a lot of buzz about our company is made eight pro wrestling hot and dare. I say cool yeah again just because of our existence and to kind of prove that the shuttle out of people up who were were. I didn't really know what a w was because of all the busby created without having really one minute of TV time all that's gone now so it was a really cool moment. I don't think it could would've gone better. you can pick it from an overall umbrella review even an A-PLUS. Do you know what the ratings were yet. We don't we were just talking about that earlier. I'm kind of getting some some tendrils of information here and there and I think that it's going to be probably between one point five one point seven million from when I heard it could be less could be good if I told you going in that you were we I was talking with with Nick Jackson yesterday. We're hoping to like we do a million okay. I know annex t the first week if you're going by judging with the with the Alternative Company did one point to the first week okay so if we're doing one point five one point seven. That's more than they did which tells me there's a bigger fan base for a w than there is for an extension of course there should be because we have actual mainstream names. They don't it's just the way it is so I was all the promotion we got being back on TNT. I figured we would do a million anything above that. I thought it'd be gravy to start creeping reaping towards the two if we do one five seven whenever that's pretty strong to me especially when you figure that raw the industry leader is doing what you probably know better than me to three to four you're right. You're getting within a million of the biggest wrestling show of all time that tells you that's a great start in a great watermark of how much of a Buzzer is about our company that they went head to head with you they do that. They had a Ma Vince McMahon. It's the vs expected this. I told them from the start and this is not even begun yet. There's going to be so many other tricks and tricks and traps coming up is what he does he. He thrives on the competition of it. I don't care it doesn't matter I'm not in in competition with an X T. I'm a if you want to competition. I'm in competition with. WB The premium brand and I think it was smart to put up against us because it makes us look like we're there. Were vying for position with them. This is not a disrespect but is the truth. It's the minor leagues. It is. People want out of there to go to you can put on like. I said you can put the Super Bowl on you can put the reunion of the Beatles. You could raise Jesus coming down from the heavens. I don't care we are worried about our show worried about our performance and worried about making the best possible program we can make whatever is on against this. It's irrelevant it doesn't matter her because I was there in WCW when they were more concerned with getting their pyro on two minutes before Wbz did on a Monday night then their own product the power of people cheering up and down 'cause they're pyro went off two minutes before Ross did and meanwhile the writing the show as it goes. It's don't don't worry about what the other person is doing the other companies doing. We have to worry about ourselves making sure we have. The best stories in the best matches the characters in the best show that we can. That's how we're going to rise above and become a true hit and be here for five ten fifteen twenty thirty years. What was the VIBE like backstage stage. You know yesterday around this time in the hours leading up to it in the our leading up to in the minutes leading up to what was that like. You're about to launch something in you've said before. I've heard you say this like. I've done it all in this business. I've never actually launched something quite like this well. What was that like launching something but not just me like once again. We're launching Greek sheriff but I I've done it. All I've had matches is that were cut down to twenty seconds. I've had matches that were added. Fifteen minutes in the middle of the ring live TV's different animal. It's great to be able to put the match where you can go thirty minutes three five minutes. I did it every night when I was in Japan the first match ever had in WWe against Jerry Lynn the gave me seven minutes. I'm like what am I supposed to do. In seven in a minute I don't even get in the ring and seven minutes. I couldn't wrap my head around it and this guy's on our on our roster that are some of the biggest names in the world that have never wrestled on live. TV Kenya Megan numerous alive TV. I'm not sure the bucks ever have they might have a little bit impact when the impact was live but it's a different animal whatsoever so we have a whole roster of guys is that have never experienced this and the top top top have Jericho Moxley Cody Dustin Rhodes Jake Hager Dean Milenko. He's not wrestling but he producing knowing what it's like to be in that live TV element so the only thing I was worried about his will be able to adapt understanding when you have thirty seconds to break. You can't just go. I gotta get this high spotted. You got thirty seconds to break cut everything and get to the point and for the most part I think pretty much all across across the board. Everybody did that so I was pretty proud of our roster. When you have a lot of people who are very green to the live television system they might not be green in the rain thing but it really does you have to reconfigure your thinking just like I had to after being in the business for six years and being main event guy around the world the first match ever and eh. I didn't know what the Hell I was doing. I idea because I didn't know how to do is a tidy. Tell a story in seven minutes. There's an art form to it and you have to learn. It and I think that was my biggest issue. She was last night but everybody really did a great job and everyone was very excited. The crowd was so hot those investment the crowd made that Rio nylon rose match. They'd never heard of any of those to. Maybe you know maybe some have but for the mainstream nobody had ever heard right. I hadn't right. They went out. There and had people going going nuts for the basic story big versus small. That's the basic story. The little Japanese girl looks like a princess and the big monster that looks like an Amazon Warrior I mean and it's as easy as it gets understand and people understood it when they were going crazy..

"Listening to short. I'm you're. It's not as short as i used to be. Host justin long drain sweetheart did do mhm clever. Thanks thanks <hes> you're still clever. You're always clever. I'm here with my supportive brother christian christian long. Do you ever <hes> <hes> play with the idea of doing sports in high school. <hes> yes i baseball i did i played baseball and basketball <hes> but i was never i was a late bloomer like you. You know i was i i hadn't gone through puberty until like sophomore year in high school and by that point. I was kind of puberty by that point. I was a little behind the ball in terms of you know being big enough to play and all that i certainly never considered wrestling <hes> nor or was i ever interested in professional wrestling. No i wasn't either and our guest. Today is a very famous pro wrestler. I'm still not i still not but but it was really interesting meeting yes. This is our first pro wrestler. We've ever had on the show i i i would say unless i'm forgetting the i ask fleet of yeah yeah we've been wanting to have more non actors and i know a lot of the feedback for the show has been that <hes> so this was exciting on that level too and just just to change up the show a little bit but yeah like you said i as i had so little knowledge of what this world was. It was interesting to talk to somebody who is like at the top of that world or guest is chris jericho and even though i know next to nothing about professional national wrestling i know that name famous he is. I know nothing about what he does really but i definitely know her. You know the name because it was a famous snow. I definitely know that name. There's a handful of wrestlers whose names i know like charles cogan john cena but the <hes> but roddy roddy piper yes right flare well part of it. Too is a lot of these guys crossover in some way. It was going to say that you know sorry about the rotten outs. Okay yeah the rock. I have never heard a bad word about at the rock. I haven't either by all counties just like the most most solid human being i met him. Briefly once we both went to an animated movie called planet fifty one <hes> and we did we did press together one day and he he was just the most charming but but to the point where you know it it it forces you to question like well what's really going on. How can anyone be that well. Maybe one day we'll have on the show but today we have an right right right charming person. Yes yes jericho interesting as a kid. We justin i and our brother damion as kids. We used to play a game called goumba the remember that of course i remember we would take pillows does these big pillows from our couch and stand on either end of our we cut our family room and say goumba and we'd run at each other kind of like sumo wrestling style and we would. We're just knock each other. I've seen people doing versions of that. Were there in those big puffy like translucent balloon soon fo- used to play goumba and i think that was the closest i connection to pro wrestling that i ever had to. You know why we call the goosebumps on. Remember <hes> <hes> no i. I just thought it was funny to say yeah. It is fun to say winter columba's in super mario brothers. That word was for some reason in our vernacular. Sometimes we used to like adopt these silly sounding words just because they were fun to say yeah <hes> <hes> so i was never into pro wrestling because i remember learning when i was a kid in school that it was fake right when i learned that i was like stupid stupid..

"He knows how to draw people in an and that's why got in yeah you know and that's if you have that presence and know how to connect with an audience. That's the secret of show business not just wrestling not just rock and roll not just comedy not just podcasting but anything is show biz. When you have a crowd. That's excited to hear what you're gonna say. You'll always have a fan base and you'll always have have a job yeah and i mean in that in that goes to show with all the times that you've reinvented yourself and had new gimmicks. I mean 'cause you know like since paul. Cogan was hulk hogan. He pretty much the same thing until he was in wwl but it was just cogan. You have had all these different gimmicks yes. He's always been chris jericho but there there was <hes> lionheart y two j savior chris jericho. You had you had the list now. You have your character. Was that always in your mind like. I have to can constantly be doing. These new dolls started when i got to well first of all it all started when i first got in the business where i always wanted to have the best ring gear i mean i always went out on my way. Even when i had no money i would always try and get a new pair of tights. You know once a month or once every couple of munson had a lady that would one of my friend's moms would make them and then as you get you we get costume designers but so then when i got to debbie i realize a._m. On t._v. every week if they don't change something people can get bored ordering very quickly so it was always fucking facial hair beard this week our food manchu this week or just sideburns then also mess with my hair style and then when they they started putting out action figures and they would put action figures out three or four times a year if you had a new new costume dude put an action figure out of it so that's so i would get new tights once again every month change. My hair changed so you're tight lady. Budget went up was we've got to spend money to make yourself right. It's like i said said they super influenced by kiss paul gene and and and you know you think cost sounds were were cheap in nineteen seventy five on the money but no so you put what your money back into the show and i would always have glitter and different cows or how many figures were coming out. I think i think i lost cow because they don't send them to me. I i think there's almost two hundred jericho dose since thank thank you gotta be some super out there with a room full of you. I hope there is somebody that has full of me yeah every single one of the because i'd love to see what i'm saying yeah yeah just just seem all wow that was the time change that those with that and then i and then when i came back in two thousand seven i i was gone for two years. Just got fed up with wrestling burn out so i left for a couple of years came back and i came back is it's kind of a watered down version of why t._j. <hes> anna realize after tooth working like i'm i'm. I'm sure there's ab- done like yeah. This character was a product act of two thousand two thousand and three or four yeah and i can't bring it back and at the time i just seen the movie no country for old men <hes> which had a have your bart artem playing at your yeah yeah frendo. He was very soft spoken. Yeah lunatic like i'm going to kill you right. This is how it's going to be and there's nothing he can do about it or not. Industry insiders anticipate 400,000 to 500,000 viewers for AEW's television premiere on TNT

"And center on that poster no cody Rhodes and listen in the world of pro wrestling cody Rhodes is a huge name is cody Rhodes roads big enough to be in the middle of that poster he would be my third choice based on name notoriety around the world okay now with Evolution Youth Movement you one avenue superstars and he's going to be our guest today at ten A._M.. With hangman page be the right person to put in the middle of that poster no so it really does come down to Moxley and Chris Jericho and again. It falls into that same thing that you're talking about two former W._W._e.. Superstars does the poster give you the feeling or insinuate that Jericho is the biggest star in the company. Yes or just asking your opinion on it. I'm not saying that I like it or don't like it. I just found it interesting. That Jericho is the middle of the crash. You know the middle of the poster basically subconsciously tells tells you is. This is the guy all right so the poster tells you Jericho is the guy the perception is Jericho. The Guy is the guy let me ask you is Jericho the guy if somebody was to come up to you boy and say who's the biggest superstar superstar that a e w has what would your answer be. It's gotta be tied of me. Between Jericho and Moxley see I would probably go with Jericho. It's the only reason I'm saying Moxie is because of that that that new passion and excitement that he brings to the company Jericho's been around much longer than Moxley Jericho without doubt known all over the world. You know what in talking about it with you. Yeah you gotta go with Jerry. It is it is the answer Moxley I guess is the freshest steam to the company. Yeah and again deserves to be on the poster. I just don't know if he should be a front and center interesting thing to this press release. There was a big article in Forbes magazine and it says that industry insiders are anticipating an audience of around four hundred to five hundred thousand thousand for A._W._S.. Television Premiere on T._N._T.. Interesting number because we talk about the low ratings for the W._W._e.. But obviously those numbers would be much lower than you see on raw and smackdown but there's an upside because that's telling you that the industry insiders aren't expecting a huge audience for a w so that's going to be to their advantage because if they do fall in between that four hundred five hundred number it's going to be hey. This is what was expected. This is is what we thought was going to happen. I think they have a really good chance of getting a higher number then that here's an interesting comparison whenever I throw those polls up on social media at the end of Monday night raw or the end of W._W._e.. Pay Per view. I normally get between ten thousand and fifteen thousand responses or votes on the poll for the W poll. I got just over five thousand responses us which which kind of is comparative to what you just said about what industry insiders predict. I actually think that's on the low side but then again I thought raw would do a bigger rating with the returning in legends and you hit you dead on balls accurate you said about three million and you're right man is it's five hundred thousand viewers four H.. Brand new wrestling company meet with major starpower major money major production value behind it on an easily accessible network like T._N._t.. Is that a good number. I think it is and here's why Bali other than N._B._A.. Basketball Basketball could you name me anything. That's on T._N._T.. Yet but you put if you have T._N._T.. And if this is advertised the correct way before October second comes out. You're going to drive people to T._N._T.. So it's not about what's on T._N._T.. If there's nothing on T._N._T.. That I WANNA see then I'm not tuning into T._N._T.. But if I have this brand new wrestling company with Chris Jericho and and Moxley and the bucks and cody and Omega and this big production value and Yada Yada Yada why wouldn't I turn well but here's the thing you mentioned the raw reunion on Monday and we're expecting a big pop because they're having all these return superstars and it did for you know not as big as you thought it was going to be but it was a decent pop for Monday show when they're looking at e w they're looking at it completely different way. Here's a new company with a roster with names that a lot of people people are not going to be familiar about scenario looking at this as we're going to start off alot and it's going to build as time goes on. I don't think they're looking at this like the way we looked at raw reunion. Put It on Youtube. POP PEOPLE ARE GONNA be into it too probably thinking that hey maybe ill gain some curiosity that people tune into start but they're hoping in time that that number is GONNA get bigger. Do you think a e w will go fishing in the W._W._e.. Pool meaning do you think they will put ads for the first Wednesday night show on Monday night raw and smackdown if they were smart they would so when you take a look social media presence when you take a look at the fact that they advertised shows on T._N._T.. During Basketball Games I'm sure they're going to have a full media blitz leaving leading up to October second

"Okay. You took this seat. I tuned him. I tuned to me you took the stage name of Jericho from the album walls of Jericho from German power metal band Hella. Wean true story. Yeah. I was gonna call myself Jack action and hold on a second. You were that that was your first Chris. No, just Jack action. Okay. Jack last action. I was I thought it was gonna make a million dollars. And then I told somebody that and they're like you can't be jacked action. That's stupid. Of course. It's stupid. It would never do that what your name. And I was like I saw the Halloween at Chris Jericho. That's how you could be talking to Jack action things down differently. But it's just normal. Chris Jericho, I just I'm just going to throw it out like this. And I always -ly things happen for REEs. Right. And to me, I think destinies what you make of yourself. Yes. All that self all that said, I don't believe you would have had the success that you had if you were in fact, Jack action, I probably have to agree with. Don't you think Vince McMahon would have stopped? You're right there. Jack action. So crass that's a good Vince word crack is he uses that word all the time. So when he says that the XFL is not going to have anybody. That's had any police record at Paul. He really means it that's not some sort of at. That's what he says. Yeah. I mean, I don't know who's left at this point with right? I felt and there's a a live is the af that they only on right now. But I mean, if that's what he says, he's pretty strict is beliefs. Okay. Last one for you on your birthday, you you fly to Mexico, then to Japan and back to Mexico. So you can celebrate two birthdays in different times. That's true. Camman forty-eight our birthday. Plane middle seat smoking in in the economy, minus action. You really fly around. So you could celebrate not like every year. Once you did it once in like ninety five or so I was I wanted to see how long I could stay on the road for because I was living in a dumpy little apartment Vancouver with two other dudes one bedroom. Right. So I had a job in Japan and Mexico yourself see a long I can stay on the road for. So I just flew back and forth, like six months and during one of those trips just happened to be my birthday for birth. That's amazing. So congratulations on signing with all elite wrestling. Thank you, brother. What is what is this brother, brother, brother? What do you? What does this mean for you? So what happened was basically the family that owns the Jacksonville Jaguars the confab. I know Tony I do and his father shot. All of these factors kind of took place at the same time to start this company. Whereas you had a group of guys who are worldwide famous, but not super well known in the states other than amongst hardcore fans 'cause it Kenya. Mega young bucks. Cody Rhodes, those type of guys, and then you had Tony with his backing, and then you had all this interest in television wrestling, and so basically for the first time possibly ever, we have an alternative to the WB, and it was a real cool concept for me from creative side, and from a buzz side, and our first shows the MGM grand that we sold it out in four minutes last week know what? So there's a huge buzz of fans who wanna see this alternative wrestling company, while you are I mean, your popularity has never been bigger. And that's saying a lot right now. I mean, you're over three million followers at Chris Jericho Fosse on Instagram. I am Jericho on Twitter your podcast on Westwood.

"Okay. So going back to when you put these together, will you always going to be not wrestling with? Great question. Jack, you're paying attention. My is not to wrestle on this, right? I did not want to Russell, but like I said, I needed a main event before these matches were announced. I needed something that I could hang my hat on. And once the once Nick suggested that the bucks in Jericho team, this is great. Like it's a match. It's a six match. It's a draw, but it's not like I don't have to worry about anything. Yeah. I mean, if you had to put that on, another show would sell any show out, dude. You could saw Reno with. Absolutely. And that was once again, this is this is not like something I'm taking lightly. My goal for this is to make this an annual destination vacation, right? Just like the kiss cruise, because when the kiss cruise ends, I think I would surmise great word. Once again, the doing another two of them and then the stun she'll and they might still continue because I don't know what the I don't care. I know that I want Chris Jericho's arresting, which we got the name to to be an annual thing. So therefore it has to be a hit right off the bat. And I honestly think albacore Bullock made a difference because like you said, you put that on sale at Wembley arena. We're going to sell the of course anyway, because it's the first meeting of Jericho omega, since wrestling. Wrestle kingdom. And that's one of the reasons why did Russell Kingdom? I thought one of the law reasons like this will help my cruise. One of the main reasons. Why did all in right was like I can give that last minute push for the crews and continues this year long angle with Kristen, Kenny. So name-wise originally, I wanted to call it the crews of Jericho. And then I think another one was. The Jarrett Kruse works as well. They didn't like that one though because people might not know who you are like we want Jericho to be in on that. I, I mean, fab then at the same time if they're buying it because of you anyway. Yeah. Okay. You know, they came back and told me the final name was going to be. What was that? Chris Jericho's and wrestling crews. Welcome wrestling crew. Yes, I'm like, that's the most generic date is generic. He doesn't have the same ring as so. How did you come up with? I wanted something that rock wrestling needs to be an are. Okay. Big fan of triplets in any promo give three examples. I love. I think this is an alliteration. We have three words with the same letter. Yes, think it's liberation? Yes, it is so rock and wrestling something if I'm wrong. But I like rock and wrestling regatta was my regional one. Okay. Regattas very formal. It was very far. It's like a demonstration at sea. Yes, and they're like, no, we don't. Like that. And then I think I had Rockin wrestling rampage and rock and rusting something or other. But in Canada, when someone has a party, it's either cold shaker or raise your. How to raise your last week, Mattis killer. Right. So I was like, it's the rock and wrestling ranger, and it works. It works because it's got what I wanted, which is rock wrestling razor, which is a party. And then six bands caveat was they wanted it at sea. So people would understand rock and reston razor see, it's kind of long at first, but it's still rolls off the rolls off the tongue kissed cruise with a k. that's easy. We were still able to pronounce that during junk mania we were and we're pronouncing it now because we're getting doesn't mean right, doesn't mania pro wrestling. Crossing t's, go, Jack, here's here's what we're going to the part in the show. We still got a lot to go. We're going to, we're going to end this about fifteen minutes the part in the show where Jack gives a plug for his merchandise store. Yes. So because if you find people,.

I was awkward and you were very, you're actually came up to me. But I think I actually met you one time before that. I feel like that was the first time go Hugo's in l. a. out. Was you your brother Kieran? And he was dating seventy show girl. That was my. You were dating? Yeah. Tell him, excuse me, we'll do. I five on that one. So I apologize. So. So it was you your brother and your extra friend? Girlfriend at the time, and I was at Hugo's. And you guys were the eating there or. I was in there, and you guys said hi to me, and yeah. And your brother told me a story about how he had done a Broadway play or something along those lines and more Chris Jericho shirt during the play because he felt the character warranted that, yes, yes, actually, it was my shirt. It was the jerick Hollick old WCW Jericho, Hollick kind of thing, which I, I have. I got it back. And obviously that's the only thing you've done, but to them, it's like, why would MacAulay Culkin wanna talk to my dad. He watches your money in the Bank while they go reciprocal. But not. That is a cool thing and like to get a chance to like I, for some reason, you know, this vanilla ice greatest guy in the world, and you know not the biggest fan before, but obviously respect what he did sat down at a podcast and now you know, he's a great guy. We text back and forth and Kevin Smith who just saw earlier today. Another guy that I love and via the podcast world. Now we're friends because you get a chance to talk to. Each other. Exactly. We hope we don't let you down. That's a lot of building up the pressure here. Yeah, I know. I mean, it's like vanilla ice, and then me just like just like, Ooh, I know..

"Here we go. Are we recording recording recording recording that was it? That's as you weren't as loud, he's usually are. Okay. Helen gone to three. We're getting just like it hurt my years later on when I'm editing this question, I'm not gonna jump in and spoil any of your intros put these on absence. Here on. That's not Stu. You're hearing, we'll get to that in a moment. Folks. We're gonna bunny ears. I'm Cohen joined us always by your lustrous host Rory. Culkin junior, congratulations. They just got married and all of a sudden data kid. Yeah, yeah. Wow. Yeah. I guess they didn't wait long. Yeah, I know is this Paul Heyman you look just like your dad. Oh, thank you just as Paul Heyman because to be fair, Paul Hemant officiated your brother's wedding that that's that's the Joe for the war and who didn't unders- for the Warren and speaking of Paul Heyman. That's a pretty good segue. MAC, did you do that on purpose? No. Yeah, I am verbose guy. I like to think that I've got. I got the words down and it's not often that I am left for both near speechless at trying to introduce a guest. And there's really very few as to do this other than than the Ayatollah of rock and roll awhi- to Jay. Some more. A what? The Linhart there go. But we have Mr Chris Jericho Jericho on. Right, good. Yeah, it was a good one. Thank you. Cool. I'm very excited to where the bunny ears, I know you better take them off before they suit you. It might be too late. My friend, we're not gonna name names, but there have been some guests in the past or a little too macho. The bunny ears BS because there's nothing more macho than wearing bunny. Ears, fertile animals. You know, it's always always come from the school of like in the nineties. See that you have your nails, painted, soda ride aren't nails. I also I also had both my ears pierced before that was the thing because Paul Stanley had that, and I was like, you know, Paul Stanley is probably banging more girls than I'll ever meet my life. So if he can wear painted nails and earrings within damn it, so can I? And that will definitely prove your masculinity, even though it might not seem that way for other type of farmers and Cowboys and those type of people? Yeah, I've actually always kind of been that way to where it's kind of just look. Yes, I will wear flamboyant gal. I am lipstick and everything opinion you rock like a like a straight up Bowie stardust. See. See there, you just hit it? Yes. But here's one thing I love to is that when you talk about the history of rock and roll, for example, and you know, it's just like show business if you really wanna make wrestling to wanna make it you gotta do some this never been done before. Take a chance, and you think of Boeing early seventies and people probably laughing at him or calling him weird or bisexual, whatever. And now here we are after pass away, and he's one of the greatest artists of all time that we all critically acclaimed all of his looks and all of his weirdness. So you have to take a chance and do something different and go through that. Trial of fire where people are going to be kind of smirking at you until they realize God this guy's doing every wants to do, and then you put the fucking bunny ears on, and now we're the coolest people here. I'm talking to take off. You have nothing to prove. They were always on by the way, there's only three of us in here, but we are the coolest people in here. So..

"Yeah. Fine me gag with you the the brand, the full die, kill me in the packing house. Jericho. I was like, he's so quiet and demure today. I know what can I say do MU. You also gave away with the whole show is calling it the jerick unless we're talking about that TV show Jericho. I'm jerk Hollick skied or you love skied all riches performance on that side channel show. Yes, yes, I do. Yeah. Woken the bunny. Ears, Matt Cohen. This is of course skeet skeet Deb, all Ricker, rich. I don't know. I'll go with you. You seem like you corrected me lakes, all Rick. You ever meet that guy? No, sadly, no. Gone before before its time? Yeah. Yeah. No, I and I, I had a a weird well, like love for him. Look, I wrote something that involved the devil and look a picture of skeet Ulrich in his. Yeah. So looking at, so I actually had a thing about skeet. Ulrich spoiler alert he's the killer in scream. Oh my goodness. You only had like forty, five Ono that movie came out so long. We're so old buddy. Yeah, I know. Yeah. So Matthew Lillard alert. Yeah, always here. No, we're gonna bunny ears. This is the show where we talk about Matthew Lillard. Yes, is the Lillard effect and we also talk about stuff. We love we've talked about cartoons. We talked about conspiracy theories. We've talked about mustard, but have we talked about Canada? We haven't yet. Actually, I don't think we've even had on a Canadian yelling now that I think about is that late. We have not heard a single Canadian that checkout Kevin Smith wants to be like an honorary Canadian, but that doesn't count hios really close to candidates. It's very close. Let me think. So stew does not a Canadian nucleus close. I think we're do man. Yeah. Okay. We should have a Canadian. There are brothers lash little weird cousin to the north. They're adorable, the got something called candidate. And every time it's candidate I go like good for you. Look at you. Like you'll, you'll champ look, you want to give them a bit little fist to the shoulder or like a hockey punch, just Pat to the head. Not only do we have a Canadian on today, but this covers two of our loves, our love for Canada, which obviously, obviously, and our love for wrestling these motherfucking Chris mother flunking. Jerry Chris motherfucking Jericho, which is he legally changed his middle into motherfucking. We told them not exclusive exclusively folks if you don't. Chris Jericho is Chris Jericho is one of the best professional wrestlers in the history of the sport. He is a rockstar. Yeah, he is an author. He is a podcast or he's got his own crews coming up. No, he's he's the real deal. He does it all and he, he says, he's going to do things and he actually does them, which is something that is short of what almost everyone else on this planet does. He's the goat and we get into some wrestling Centric, talk on their show, other than Canada talk in general. And if you don't know, Chris for years, wrestled for a company called WCW, and then he had the bulk of his career with WWF and WWE. And now he's doing some really exciting stuff. He's kinda just the world's hottest free agent. Yeah. No, he's running a cruise right now that is wrestling related, but still he filled up a cruise boat. So while he's also the lead singer of fuzzy, of course testing on this year. They go like in a young. He's yeah, no, he does music. He does. He's a cruise director apparently wear Scott, really long scarves. He's a scarf man, fashion east. He wears light up late up their jackets, super cool guy, and he's someone I've been a fan of basically my entire life and I know you have to same same man. He was my favorite grown up, so it was. It was crazy that we got sit down and talk with them. What's even crazier warn is it's a two-part conversation. We split up everything. It's between our podcast and his, what's his bunk as Hawkins Jericho, and you're going to be able to if you're listening to bunny ears the week, he comes out, you'll be able to hear that. On Friday, if not, you'll be or whenever you want, but definitely check out MAC and me on talk Jericho after you. Listen to Chris Jericho on the bunny her show. Yeah, check check, check it out and without further a due. Nice..

"It's gonna be a hell of time. It's not sold out. There are seven remaining, but it's going have a great attendance, Chris Jericho, cruise dot com. We'll give you. I looked at this morning is a hell of website. It's got everything you need to know our whatever want to know about going on this cruise and being a part of this extravaganza at Christie's co, cruised dot com. And the the versity that you're is luck. You're. You're the Booker and your booking, not just wrestling, but all kinds of things. So as an artist in some of the lobster create this whole thing must be a hell of a lot of fun. Putting all these pieces together. A lot of fun. It's also a lot of work. We've talked about this, you know, two or three times since I've been on show the graciously allowed me to come in and talk about this, but it's it's really cool because you know, start out with an idea. Like I mentioned before, we did the kiss cruise, two thousand fifteen Pasi played it soon as I was finished. I said, I can do my own rock and wrestling cruise. What am I known for? But now a lot of people know for rock and roll and restaurant. So two years later, we finally get it up and running. And then now I have to choose because I'm financing the whole project so to speak, who can I bring a board who can afford? What do I need to do to palm numbers? And you know, like you mentioned, it's not sold up, but it's getting closer still selling steadily, which is it's actually it's an enigma for us of the crew business works. The cruise business works for my partner who six, Matt, and they do the kiss Drew's and Walking Dead and kid rock and all these big cruises that have during nine ten years or so. And this being the inaugural voyage, so to speak. They. Say usually cruise. The cell really big off the beginning, and then they just got a drift away. No pun intended. Exactly. We've been, we've been selling fairly steadily since September seventeen when the cabins went on sale even up to this day and every morning I wake up and I get a report, how many cabins that we sold, how much revenue's been occurred, who who are people come to see where they from? What's the demographic? And it's really blowing my mind see that we're still really marketed this in a very interesting way learning from both our bosses. And of course talk Vincent van in constantly making it a must see keeping that buzz going. So people are constantly talking about it and whether it was I, I now the roster then I now, okay, here's some of the activities you know alive. Talk is Jericho with Jim Ross and Jerry the king Lawler for example, you know a live, talk Jericho about Eddie Guerrero with Conan. The stereo, those things like that that you would see anywhere else and then putting together the whole see of tournaments. And so the first round of that's been announced and then putting together impact versus ring of honor never been done before. Just it just worked out with with the first match being Sammy Callen versus mardi Sturle. There's a couple more matches being announced and then kind of siding. I need a main event for this. I did something that's really attacked line that you can't see what else you've never seen before. Never see it again. And that's when I had the idea to do alpha versus bullet club, which is, you know, there's your tag line. There's your wrestlemainia tagline that, you know, mega-powers explode since always, you know, kind of instills us, you have to have that that tag. So now that we've had all these things now there's so much more people are really saying, I can't miss this. I need to see it to be part of it. So that whole thing that kind of piecing it all together and keep the buzzer and has been a challenge results. A lot of fun..
