"And valenti's back with us, he's back from his vacation in the second he returned it seemed like things, you know, just started improving for the Celtics again after his trip totally derailed them and injured rob Williams. We talked about that last week. Well, he's the blame. He's the reason Chris forsberg that other voice that you're here in NBC sports Boston. How are you, man? Now I'm angry. Yeah. No, I actually was pinning the blame on myself. I had to do sideline for a couple of games and I think my first game. That Timberwolves game was the night he got hurt and so that blood is on my hands. It feels only appropriate that I somehow my excitement was just too much for time lords meniscus to handle and so I'll take the blame out. You're off the hook. So the alternate timeline like out of Doctor Strange was created just by your passion, your level of excitement. It just messed up everything. Blew out his knee. Like I mean literally meniscus was like, there's an energy in this building that I can not harness and it just shredded. Luckily, luckily it was only a minor tier. I've kept it in check enough that he will be able to return in the playoffs. Yeah, so you're the bad luck guy. I appreciate the fact that you're stepping up for that. That's one of my favorite low key scenes of Celtic pride is when they have the jazz jerseys on. And they're like, we've been rooting for the entire time. The Celtics. And who hasn't won anything? Oh, yeah, I didn't want to say anything. But we knew you guys were the bad luck guys. I just want to put out because we could go on and on about Celtic pride. Who wouldn't? I mean, it's on the shelf here behind me naturally. But look, it's masters week. So just real quick in the wake of the most racing game. Golf clap for the Celtics. For the good-looking loss in Milwaukee. Just a wonderfully beautiful performance for those of you and I'm honestly, like I've been tweeting about this. I'm not one of these people. But for the people out there that have been and they're all over my mentions, you guys as well, I'm sure..

"The first place. I guess I would have to start the campaign to bring the point guide from the summer that I've already forgotten his name. Oh my God, I can't put on blanket on it. It's really cool. Yeah, yum. Yeah, yeah. That's how long it's been. So, you know, we were talking about point guards of the future. Just wait it out. Maybe they wait for Israeli stuff carried. Come on over and take the reins. I did hear he had a good, I think someone tweeted out he had a good performance at the Euro cup in the last couple games. So I'll never top the first his debut in summer league. No, no, I mean. That was electric. And I think you probably remember, we did this like broadcast at our studio, and I was losing my mind. I was like, sign this guy immediately. No? But at that point, very much like the current state of the team. We were just looking for a little ray of sunshine and this playmaking point guy with some sass was fun to watch. So him and bergeron and everything, maybe there's that's the other thing is if the season does go south, we'll be one of us to get a hop on a plane and head overseas and start shouting. These young guys to figure out what's what they got in the pipeline. Summer league is overseas for the next two years. I'm going to make you answer your own question. You give me sort of did, but, you know, who do you think is the most likely to go and who do you.

"So I'll live with it. I do think it was maybe a little bit matchup based because obviously they're not gonna put them in there. I mean, even looking at the defensive numbers this morning, it was crazy how much they protected him from having to go against embiid and we saw last season like he was a file magnet and they couldn't keep him on the floor and credit the staff. I thought they had it was a little mix of everything that worked in the past, sending the weak side defender to rattle and beat and not get easy catches, but also like leaning on Horford and not letting rob getting filed trouble. They clearly learned from the last few seasons. I feel like maybe Brad Stevens dropped in and said, hey, hey, I need a couple hands right here, let me lay this out for you. I think more often than not rob will be out there in those situations, but look for a team that's anemic offensively. If you've got to go offense defense, that's where I want to use that's where maybe you use your timeouts, right? If you want to get Schroeder in there for an offensive set fine, call time out, draw something up. And see what happens, but I think more often than not he'll be out there. We're gonna find out Friday night Salt Lake City. Chris forsberg will not be on the ground. He will be I almost was. I almost still the game of street continues. I think you might see me eventually, but yeah, I mean, I don't know if Utah was the place to dive back in. I'm trying to think. Did you go to a Brazilian steakhouse with us? Or was that just me and Jay and I heard about this one though? Yeah. I think it was Kelly Olynyk approved. A random strip mall with a great Brazilian steakhouse. And Jade's something crazy like pig's ears or something like that, which you shouldn't get at a Brazilian steakhouse. But I don't think anyone got sick and I do miss Utah a little bit. That was great for summer league. Fantastic. Except for Gordon Hayward ruining. Let's end on this because this will be fine. Did you see Gordon Hayward, I think we all still follow Gordon Hayward's wife on Instagram and she posted something. One of their daughters put if she had one wish, she would be to go back to Boston. And I had like 14 people. I had 14 people slide into my mentions. They're like, we're Hayward wants to come back to Boston. And I was like, no, I think her name is Bernie. Bernie would like to come back to Boston. I do not think Gordon Hayward would come back to Boston. But Boston sure needs a player like your neighbor or for Hayward at the trade deadline. That's a deal right there. You're in here first. What did that be amazing? Whoever kind of makes sense for them. They did eat a big man down there. Stay tuned for that. All right, Chris forsberg. "Utah has been strangely bad at home this year. They lost in New Orleans and Memphis. They were 31 and 5 at home last year and they've already got four home losses. And it's just weird. Because that's usually a really tough place to play just because of the perf was saying it last night. Not only everyone thinks about Denver. Utah is just always a strange place to play. One because people are so damn rowdy and then there is atmosphere issues there too. So, yeah, I don't know. I think I want to see them, I mean, two game winning streak feels like about as good as it's gotten for this game. How can you build off that? And really, I just want to see the offensive progression. Okay, if you do have some better semblance of health and Jalen's, the wildcard and all that, do we start to see a little bit more cohesion, especially from the bench group, if there's more, you know, firmness in their roles. Can grant keep shooting as well as he had, as he has, if he's in a diminished role, you know, what becomes of Romeo if he does have nice words of DNP, you know, does freedom ring for even longer than what we've seen. And who else might forgetting on the bench? Like if Schroeder, you know, shooters obviously kind of throttle down with less of a role. But if you can bring Marcus's minutes down and bring him up, and maybe you find the balance there. So yeah, I mean, I'm not making a question. When you say coaching, I think my biggest thing with eBay is just, you know, late in execution..

"But you're right, is Brad Stevens going to be quote unquote heartless enough to be like, hey, welcome back. Huge part of our planet. But actually, it had to be part of the conversation when it came here too. Like that he just had to be realistic. We're hoping this thing works out, but if it does, and there's going to be hard choices and your salary, part of the reason we trade it for you, like, the big banner we're waiting when it happens is that future flexibility and doing. So I do think he's got at least be aware of it. I think part of the reason he's playing so hard is he wants it to work here. And you know, again, I know we default to maybe I'm leaning more towards that being the more likely path than the other, just based on what I've seen, but yeah. I also somewhat feel like look, he's played way above what I expected right now and I don't know if that's sustainable. And that game against San Antonio sort of showed it. There's just going to be nice where, you know, these don't move as quick as they did against against Philly when you have a little extra motivation. So it could be a little bit more of a roller coaster. And even with his minutes, I'll be interested to see what they do on this road trip and back to back. And like, look, we knew coming in that that was a thing that one of your first questions, they have, it's like, are you playing that? Yeah, because it was legitimately a good question, you know? Who knows? And I think he's playing more the most over the last four or 5 years to be honest. I was looking at his nursery now, but it is crazy. And but he has been surprisingly consistent. So at the same time, and the fit is there with Jalen and Tatum. And obviously, you don't want to pay him this much, but it seems someone, you know, if you, if you still can't get absolutely anything for him in a deal, then it's like, all right, maybe you do, you know, just kind of write it out next year just to have him as a trade chip for a big a big deal down the line if it materializes and if it doesn't, and however he wants to play for a couple $1 million a year for however long he wants to play for after his his conduct aspires. That might not be the worst thing in the world either. The crazy part is I think he's guaranteed date is until the cut down day next year, but I'm telling you, there's no way there will be a would be. If I am now who offers agent, I am not going to next season with that date. I guarantee it'll move and that a firmer path will be declared before that point. So I think I'm fine with it if they wait till the summer. But before the start of next season, you know, it's going to either be, you find a trade that involves out or you just caught meet the money. And that's not ideal either. Or, you know, I guess there's always pass to is like you just bring them back and ride it out for 26 or whatever. And it's not the worst thing, depending on what your structure of your team is. But yeah, it's just again, it all comes down to asset management. And if you're not an elite contender, you need to maximize every chip you've got because that's one thing to sell this have not done over the last four years. And so yeah, that's going to mean some tough decisions..

"Bet online, where the game starts. But yeah, so let's play it out though. If you are Brad Stevenson, it's you don't get the clarity. It's a 500 month. You're still like, you're still, again, the east is still wide open like the nets in the box, maybe they separate themselves a little bit, but everyone else with Miami, the injury to bam. You know, Chicago comes back down to earth. If everyone else is kind of in two or three games with each other. So in theory, you could go in either direction. I pulled the plug. You pull the plug. And you just pull it with the veterans or are you pulling it with like even maybe moving some of the younger guys as part of a bigger deal? Where do you look to do? I said it all depends on the length of what the landscape is. Are there big names that become available? Is there a disgruntled veteran that you're like, okay, you know, we're not going to be in the Bradley Beal hunt. Let's actually make a pursuit for this. But that's going to take a lot of stuff lining up. Right. I think my big fear is that they don't make a decision in January or February. They're just like, all right, let's just see how this goes. And then we get April May, you're bounced in round two. Or earlier. And all of a sudden you didn't turn shooter into anything. You still got to figure out Al and Richardson. And like you didn't develop your young guys, like I'm worried that this is how teams stay on the sort of middling path like you got to sometimes make tough decisions to figure out how to advance forward. You have to sometimes go backwards to go forward. And so, you know, like, look over the next 25 days, the offense looked great. And or at least show some sort of improvement. I'm fully willing to be all on board on them going for it. If it doesn't, and again, I think you look up and you just have to be honest with yourself..

"Offensive spectrum or just being like, hey, Marcus a little bit. He's someone who gets hurt a lot. And you have, again, guys on the bench who are going place. I wonder what the balance is going to be, what you would, what you'd want to see from that standpoint for my coach they went on this trip here and balancing obviously going for these wins in an important strive versus not leaving the other guys to just whatever G league practice action for the next month. And unfortunately, I think it's just this stretches so vital for them to prove to Brad and maybe to themselves that they're going to be contenders that I don't see a throttle down coming down and down anytime soon. Again, maybe it goes back to back. She stretched the rotation out a little bit, but I'm figuring Tatum's going to play. You know, here Brad even allude to it on the radio this morning when they were talking about Jason. He's like, well, Jason plays and Jason and what he means is Jason has no choice. He's one of the only healthy students who's played every game him and Graham. I think the only guys that have played them all. And they've just got to play because you need them so much for your offense right now. And I don't know when his first break will come. You know, maybe if they're lucky enough to win a couple games and get a four game winning streak, maybe you can find a day on a back to back. Maybe you look for an opponent who is a little undermanned, like the Lakers. I don't know. But it's an delicate no chance he takes days off in December. There's just no. And yeah, I'm trying to think what the first possible day off. They have like, even I had sort of circle Minnesota at the end of the month. And now, Minnesota is playing good, so you know, I don't know. Maybe you leave them home on one of those random one off trips or whatever, but there's gonna be no easy spots here to find it even Marcus, you know it all depends on how schroders plan two make sure it wasn't great for the first, most of last night. And then had the crunch time buckets when they needed them, and then had one really bad crunch time possession, but was it too? I don't even remember at this point. I had one bad one where he just had to throw up the air. I mean the whole time. Yeah. I mean, again, I don't hold bad possessions against because they're all bad possessions with the steam. But yeah, I don't know. I wish I had an answer for you there. I would say that I hope these guys got their cardio in because in order to look up on January 1st and give Brad Stevens to confidence not to start dealing away pieces. I think they have to be probably ten and 5 in December and that's going to be tough as hell. So let's say it's a middle of the road December then. And they go, which honestly for them, where they're at is not the worst thing in the world, given how tough this schedule, if they can, even at two and three, West Coast trip.

"If you were email, would you play them? I plan for I wouldn't play the back to back for sure. I probably, he's got good history in Utah. Let him play in Utah. Yeah. He'll probably he likes hitting dagger threes out there. Oh, I forgot about that. That's right. What was coming out moments? Yeah. I was like, that crazy trip, you know, post Kyrie injury that was when his first year there. But yeah, it's a push and pull there. It's good to see him. I mean, he's not forcing it too much, I think, offensively. Like you said, at the time, that's true. They were talking, but I've literally yelled at the TV to move the ball. It's a little too. I'm trying. And I get it. I'm trying to get myself going, but yeah. But I understand your point. Again, in the fourth quarter last night, I thought he got more deferential and I think he's realizing that if he just doesn't have it, he has to do that. Right. And that was, you know, that was something where the awareness of those guys coming into play more as they kind of figure out this offense and figure out what you may want and those type of situations. That's coming more full circle. And that should help this team in the long run. But yeah, I'd say playing in Utah, you know, you probably can play Portland, you know, be Portland now, pretty comfortable. That's not an easy game in Portland, but Lillard's out there. So that's certainly a game that you need to win on this trip to have it be a successful trip. And now that everyone's back, you have the luxury of getting away without having Jalen and still having a very capable guy Romeo like for it, you don't even have to go down and meet him. You can say, oh yeah, Romeo, you're playing. Or you could go to nieces. I mean, are you kidding? Yeah, you go out and like Pritchard, hey, it's Portland, baby. Go score 9 points. The rejuvenation process for you have to play in that game. You'd think so. You'd think that'd be email given his roots there would at least give him a shot at least for a first accident. But yeah, that's a tough one. From whether that's the medical staff or email or even where the front office gets evolved there being like, hey, we're not like and how Jalen's looking right now, let's just like, and they did tread caution to the first time around with this thing. That was way more of an of a break than we thought you get, especially when you started talking about potentially coming back that Monday night or whatever of that road trip so yeah as painful as it might be to have to weather without him, they know how to do it. And it doesn't really impact you too much defensively. You didn't wish he had that offensive weapon, but I think long-term, they need him upright. And so whatever they got to do because he was really good at the first game. And even that first really weak, I thought he, you know, he had his moments, but yeah, they got to find out how to get that, get jailing back to that. I'll start level. Do you know just speaking of myths in general, do you know where Tatum ranks in the NBA in minutes right now? So it was like fourth for a while behind Randall and trying to think who else was on there. I remember doing this earlier. At one point the Celtics, because of all those overtime games, had I don't know if it was brown, maybe Tatum's smart and someone else was in that Schroeder. I don't know. But I don't know. Is he still high? Is.

"I was like, all right, well, we're not doing that. And I was like, well, there's always Romeo because Romeo's defense has been outstanding and now you're getting the benefit of at least the catch and shoot guy on a team that desperately needs people who can knock down shots and of course he gets a DNP. So that's like damn it. What do I do now? What'd you go with? Where'd you go? I ended up doing Marcus smart, which was great because I mean, he had the 7. I think he had 7 assists through the first, let's see, 26 minutes of the game. And right before we're waiting to come on and do the hit, he turned the ball over to like three times and four possessions. And I said, man, can I just can't get this one tonight? You know, like, but we still had fun with it. I want to give you the same quiz I gave Abby. Jayson Tatum is obviously his most common assist on the season. I think like 28 this year. Do you know who his second is? And second and third? For smart, I would say rob would be second. Obviously if I'm bringing it up. I'm surprised by three. Who's number three? It is Schroeder. Oh, it's not. It's true, like, 5th. It's grant Williams. Yeah. And again, the benefit of Marcus hasn't doesn't have a lot of dudes to pass to. And that connection is work. What I thought interests, I didn't have time to get this in was that Jalen's super low. Now that makes sense somewhat because he's missed a games and with the hamstring and hasn't met himself. But last year, the Marcus to jaylen assist combo was like, until Jalen got hurt, it was one of the best in the NBA. And it's weird that they haven't figured that out yet this year, but it's just weird because Jalen's not himself and really hasn't looked himself since that opening night. So something they've got to figure out. But yeah, I totally agree on this conversation. You were talking about the offense. No, I mean, you just brought jail in, so I think that's a good place to start with the offense right now. I mean, Tatum Tam's situation is what it is. He's seeing doubles. He's not being efficiently since case for a lot of guys around the league right now. I don't think that's really, yeah, Jason play better. Like, okay, that's I don't think that I think that's gonna eventually happen, but I don't think that's necessarily something you harp on in terms of the office of structure..

"Edition of the waiting place podcast is here. My name is Brian rob, bringing in the big guns of opposed today, Chris fort. I don't know about that. I mean, this is as big as it gets on the wing play pod. Chris forsberg, NBA, NBC sports Boston, people only call people on the call now when rob has a big night or a big moment. It's like, oh, we're doing a rob episode. We should get forsberg. Otherwise it's my phone doesn't win. I don't take it personally. That didn't even come to my mind here. Contact is not offended by that. And to be fair to rob, he probably didn't even get officially get official block there because I never checked the box that it did. I didn't look, but I assume time had expired before the shot was released, so I don't it was very close. Rewatching it. I remember remarking, I wonder if he even got it off. I think he did, but at that point, it's not like they sit there and review it and go back to the site. It's just whatever games over anyway. But yeah, that in like jaylen, when Jalen did the fronting and beat in the post, I don't know if he got credit to where the block on the shaker drove or something like that. You know, but I remember someone on Twitter was like, hey, did he get a block? I never went back and looked. Look, that's the bottom line. Sellers played good enough defense that I don't even care if someone get credited with a block or not. It's a rare positive addition of the winning place podcast. Well, maybe not. I mean, put on the fork there now. All right. As I'm checking through the box court to see if that happens. But let's start off with the defense there because there's a lot of things we don't know about this team as they've gotten foil here. One thing we seem to know now. And you know what, you're right. .1 seconds here in the box squared that he is Robbie to get that block. So you win. Good job NBA. NBA, keeping it right. Keeping Chris forsberg happy. "All right, folks, we are ready in other edition to Celtic speed, Adam Kaufman Chris forsberg good friend of the program good friend of mine, good friend of yours. You know, here's the thing, really. I don't think and this is a compliment. It's really the highest compliment Chris. I'm not sure I've ever come across anyone who's had a bad word to say about you. Oh. You know, so it's funny you say this. A couple of years ago, I was still a DSP and I had to do a story on Al Horford. And I was really struggling to come up with a story idea for it. And I'm talking to his agent and I'm like, you know, what's the story with that? What's the overarching theme that I'm missing here? And I'm like, you know what the thing is, no one's ever said anything bad about them. So I legitimately went to every person I could find in every team, and I said, tell me something bad about Al Horford and no one had anything. And then I went down and I said, hell, no one has ever said anything bad about you. He's like, well, there's some people out there. I was like, well, who? Well, I can't name about my head. I was like, no, because everyone likes you. It's sort of the same way. I won't name names. I'm sure there are people that hate me. And I'm sure I have unintentionally been a jerk to somebody, but I try not to. And I mean, just sort of the way, I hope I operate, but, you know, I guarantee there's people out there that don't like me. See, there are enough people out there to think I'm a jerk that they'll tell me right to my face, which I appreciate at least because you don't have to like, you don't have to wonder, you don't have to guess. "Twenty-five, eleven rebounds know 15 rebounds 11 assists and I am shooting point six seven, nine from the floor. I mean, Julius Randle is not at 11 assists. I've had such games as oh Twenty One fifteen, twenty one, twenty and nine. I've had another game 13 to 19 and 9 I'll give you a hint. I am a second-generation NBA player, sabonis sabonis, who honest bonus is having to pack. It is spectacular model in my career. I don't I took note of this Saturday this in seven games in May he's averaging twenty five fifteen eleven and fifty-eight percent is awesome and another plan potential. That's right, that's right. And he was coming off injury, right? Yeah. Yeah. He missed, he missed a lot of time. He missed a lot of time. That that's a team. It honestly, you can see if somehow there is a brad, Stevens component to this Pritchard. Indiana should be talking a lot in the offseason, they really should, they should get together with. I don't know where they want to meet, maybe they can take in a Red Sox game or something on a nice day and, and just talk for a while and see what comes of it. All right, I just want to get that one in there. I just it's a good fast. That is a good set. It is a good stack, Chris. We appreciate you joining us. Keep doing what you're doing. Honestly, so much fun to watch you. Now, getting rep upon rep, upon rep. I'm almost there. I'm almost tired. I think your wife is probably tired of seeing you on T, but one other now you're honestly, I mean, like, that's terrific job. I'm glad everything is worked out so well for you and hopefully you get a, you know, interesting offseason. It'll start a little bit earlier than you thought. I think will be interesting as the right way. Thank you. All right, sorry Chris, Chris forsberg. NBC Sports. Boston. We'll see you next week on the Rhine and Goodman podcast and make sure you tune in every single week..

"chris forsberg" Discussed on Bob Ryan & Jeff Goodman NBA Podcast

"This is the bar Brian and Jeff Goodman podcast, NBA some college little bit of everything. You know, what can I say? But it wasn't going to happen here with him. I was wrong with it because it wasn't about talent. I didn't think. All right, let's get right to. It are welcomed into another episode of the Iran and Goodman podcast. I'm Jeff Goodman. He is Bob Ryan and we are joined by one of my favorite people. In this business. One of the best people in this business and that is NBC Sports has Chris forsberg. Who's done a great job here in Boston covering a Celtics for years? Hold on, hold on. Can I can I can I start this off? Like the only reason I'm in this chair is because of the man who's down here on my zoom bubble cuz I used to go harass Bob Ryan after birth. Celtics games while I was at the Boston Globe and I'd be like, Bob. I know it's 1 a.m., I know, we have just finished putting the finishing touches on your latest article but I need you to come talk to this camera for five minutes and I always oblige. I had literally I have an Emmy Award on my wall because I made him talk about Gino on the Jumbotron on one night at like 3 in the morning and he gave this great Soliloquy about the history Gino and why it a table just saying. So I am honored to be on here. I feel a little bit over overmatched with the quality of talent that is already on this podcast. I've been overmatched, I've been over a month or two years doing this podcast. So get used to it. Very nicely to say that you know will come up in my conversation over the weekend. When I go to the Hall of Fame, enshrinement becomes a net is being deducted and no one enjoyed Gino, no one no one in the stands. Enjoyed those moments more than Kevin Garnett dead. When they put that video up, whatever any coach was saying was utterly irrelevant to Kevin Garnett, you know, the game was over anyway, but point is he just loved it anyway? So I think about it off, anyway, thank you. Good to be with you question. I'm wearing this hat in honor of Jaylen brown right now, in fact, we've lost Jaylen Brown for the playoffs and and how big of an impact of that is to the Celtics. I'll throw it to both of you guys, for me. It's big, but there were five hundred team with Jaylin. There were five hundred Team without Jaylen. I don't think they were going anywhere either way, but now it's just like, all right. Is there any Intrigue into this postseason? Other than the fact, the Intrigue really is? Do they get knocked out in the play in tournament? Not to the Intrigue now, dead. Amazing, that that's where we're we've come to with this team. But I think with Jaylin, I think what's telling to me is that this is the same engineer that Romeo Langford had last year in the bubble and it took him five and half months to recover, 170 days. And if you do the math, if your ailing gets surgery this week, he'll be back on October 28th..

"Intriguing situation, but birth They do one of the few teams out there that have money and so I just think court is weighing. You know, what what where he goes from here what he can do. And so if he at least has bought the Hawks sitting there saying we will pay to get a veteran then it puts the onus on the Celtics either come to the table with a extension that maybe they're not really thrilled about having to do or or like a trade value isn't quite where they want to go, but maybe they have to go there or maybe go, you know there I will relent there is a scenario where gorgeous just snake-bitten, you know, like needs a fresh start. I don't think he's now the fourth option comes in too much into it. I just think there's something to the idea that and I keep saying this but Gordon Hayward signed here, he was the biggest free-agent signing and Celtics history and like two weeks later. They would trade for Kyrie Irving in court. Hey was on press conference. He's not the superstar in the focus and now two years, you know, three years later you've got with because of Jayson Tatum development in Jaylen Brown's development, you know, there's the birth The option that he is the fourth option and one that can't stay healthy. And so again, I think that just comes into your mind. Like how do I re-establish myself? And can I do it here, you know in my mind, I think you can and I don't think of a player that it's like you need to go back to averaging twenty five and twelve and you know, being the being the go-to-guy I think winning is important to him when he came here. He mentioned how there was unfinished business with Brad Stevens from Butler take care of business and sort of just like showing Boston the player he can be and then if he's willing to ride this out like next year could be a huge Payday for him because all the teams that are hoping to get Yiannis and Kauai and LeBron James chance of just like the leftovers are guys like Warren Hayward who could get one more big final pay day. And so I think this is more just comes down to options and we're all trying to just kind of dissect it a little bit maybe more than than it needs to be but certainly it's the biggest story of the offseason but the inference from ryen Russillo was that if you know all things created equal monetarily, right if he can find a deal that offsets what he would be losing money. Boston would that player option? And you know, it's a a reasonable fit that he does want out. Do you believe that or do you believe that he wants to come back? I think he is in a position where a player has to weigh every option and because he's not rushing out to say I want to be in Boston. We're left to infer a little bit about what he's thinking but I think that's really well here. I think there was a lot of questions coming into last year about how the three Wings situation would work..

"And fellas, I don't know how you could listen to me talk through what I just did and not feel like you need one of your own home. I just want to I need it. Yeah, I need it. I'm laughing about it, but I'm laughing cuz I know you're right like it's going to take you to a magical place when you use it. I'm telling you. I will tell you use if you're if you're a regular if you're an athlete Jumpoline like Jayson Tatum lawyer, just me, you know moving DVDs. I might DVD shelf behind me. Like I say my my shoulders been softened golf. I mean, I may need to get one of them. Now. I'm telling you, you know bring up spouses in in part for a reason because as you know, we we are all attached Viet married or girlfriends and you know, so many of these athletes are and we know that they are and I promise I'm going south with us. We know that they are as significant a part of our Lives as anything else when it comes to making important decisions ryen Russillo said that Gordon Hayward wants out of Boston now, I don't know if God True. I have no idea. I've never asked Gordon that question. But what I do wonder is what comes into play with that right? Is it? Hey, I've been injury-prone for three years. I could use a change of scenery cuz obviously like it's not to get away from his teammates not to get it's not to get away from Brad Stevens who you know, he came here largely because of now, it could be because I don't want to be the, you know, fourth or fifth option in a a fence. I want to go somewhere else where I can be the guy again. Hopefully be healthy and maybe just view my Boston experience as you know, chalk it up to. I don't know lock at the Irish is one thing and I had the Bad Luck of the Irish. I was always hurting my time there but to Circle back, I don't know how happy Robin is here based on the way that some fans go at her on social media. I don't know if she's sensitive to that. You mean the people that were asking if she would if she would move the birth of her child so that Gordon Hayward could go back and we just want him in the finals Robin could that run people somewhere? Yeah, so but but like this has gone on for a few years where she has like people have gone after on Instagram on Twitter it it seems like and this is not me like reporting anything. This is just like reading the Tea Leaves of social media seems like Al Horford sister not a huge fan, you know, I don't know exactly what kind of reputation actually think she likes Boston now cuz they know so bad about Philadelphia and arise Archives of disease and she's she's a wife or no question about I didn't say Anna doesn't like the Celtics game I can't is not a huge fan of Robyn Hayward and I don't that's that might be true that might help sure. That's what I'm saying. So I do to you know, I don't know like I wouldn't even pretend to know this isn't me like starting anything else? I don't know what like you start until just say here's my point. Like if my wife were like let's let's pretend I were you'd like as famous as Gordon Hayward writer as successful or as or you know, had the bank account and all that. Like I was in that kind of position and I could choose to go make millions of dollars somewhere else, but I'm currently in a situation where you know, my wife doesn't necessarily feel as part of the team and she's got these social media haters and all that stuff like she could play a real impact and saying you know what honey? I think we should.

"We were just with you on Sunday right back on a Thursday. We don't have a president yet and we don't need everyone's going to do so, there's just so much uncertainty here in the world. Welcome in Adam Kaufman, you know, Evan Valenti are always producers sometimes host. And of course Chris forsberg who we don't have all that often off. Because we don't like him we happen to love. Um, we just feel he's already got multiple podcast that he does over at NBC Sports Boston the guys probably tired of talking. How are you you've already told me like I'm over exposed and that hurt that hurt my feelings. I was like man, I used to be the go-to guy. I was like and I was laying low and now like no one calls anymore. I'm just hanging out in the base where my dog so, you know, like anytime I'm here registry me a shout anyone that's watching by the way versus listening the basement looks great. Great. Yeah looks like you're it's weird talking about here lately real definitely. Yeah that hoop next to them to overthrow right shoulder. It's it's it's it is actually regulation. It is just speculation. No funny story but nothing too much more chance, but when I was first planning this out, I wanted a basketball-themed back of people can't see if there's a box in front of me and maybe my mini-fridge next thing with loaded with drinks or soda and uses sure, you know, but for the for the hoop, I was going to take an old basketball hoop wage. Where the full-sized rim and put it up and then I actually went outside and grabbed an old hoop and realized like you forget how big a basketball hoop is like it would take up an enormous amount of this wall. And so we we we got the mini hoop and shouts to Amazon. I think I found it on there. Yeah looks pretty good. My kids would enjoy we still got the I mean, what is it like Little Tikes? Is that the brand maybe the took like five foot hope that fortunately my gas. You know that eight year old 5 year old and then the two-year-old is just kind of figuring it out right now, but he ate and five-year-old. It's just it's dunk contests in the basement every single day. We have one outside and it gets plenty of years. Whenever people are bored. I wish one of you as long as you've been dumped on yet by your kids your kids. Well I have but only because they make me play game on my knees when I'm going against excuses, huh?.

"Guys look forward to basketball soundbites at practice you do but i wish they were actually planning as a basketball looks like there was some some hammering there i mean noone dribbles the ball that fast so i i think that there was someone with a nice tool kit there little hammer nail apparently there's some work to be done there and the practice facility so it's good to see the multifaceted celtics playing a little basketball but also saying you know what i don't like the way this picture this picture right here this is not working out rarely well all that up for me give me your level to level there go a little basketball in practice did you see chris forsberg story on espn dot com that he posted today and chris will be joining us later right here on dickerson hood marcus morris is telling everyone that except for coli leonard he's the best person in the nba to defend lebron james that's true no but i appreciate him saying that though i appreciate him saying you know why because someone's gotta say something right if you feel strongly that you're going to have the lion's share of the time taking on lebron james defensively then then go ahead then feel that way but here's the thing once you say that you you're not gonna stop lebron james not even gonna slow down lebron james but you have to make it very difficult for.
