Franko first bowman's actress brock but a twitter if interested so tattoos left game over the weekend and did not play. Yesterday she did not play yesterday. Keep an eye on that one. Yeah right there play yesterday but people were running down the week otani had he. He's just five home runs. He threw a six. Innings was five. He's just out of this world. He's the big time betting favorite to win ale. Mvp i mean you know. I just hope the angels make the playoffs to. I would love to see him. Get a game one start and bat fourth in a lineup and that would be the end of that. They were cheering me. Joe matt an anti joe maddon would have to figure out some sort of double switch. Keep them in the game in the game. And that's the pitches goes back to the then. He d h is the next three games and pitches a game five. Could you imagine he does something like that. That'd be if he does like a one in a you know. Hey hey joe Are you going to this. This is this is what i want to have. Hey joe when are you going to you know. Wh what are you going to start your guide that is ordinarily also right in the middle of your lineup And the the one thing could you imagine otani makes a world series and you would have to start him in a national you. You'd have to start him on the road you'd have to. You can't start him at home. 'cause you you'd keep him in the game right as your pitcher spot like he's the greatest hitting pitcher since babe ruth that's a fact yes back and and you'd have to put him into the game when you're like just hear me out here. 'cause i really haven't thought this through. Although you know cooper my ten year old did say he's got to start. All the interleague games in the national league parks write that. And i thought to myself. Yeah that kind of makes sense. Do you think the the angels make the world series and they would. They would probably want just for this fact just on this fact. Obviously you'd want all the rally monkeys in the thunder sticks going crazy but you you kinda wouldn't mind having the nf bnl having home field advantage because you could start them in games two and six right. And he's your hitter in those games the rest of the rotation has got to step up. Yes so the thirty six and thirty six. There's seven and a half. We're getting ahead of our no. I know. I want to see the so bad. I want to see. Joe when you're gonna start your guys and halfback in the we started games. Two and five games wanted four right. He's hitting every day every day he's hitting and then twice twice as series pitching. I mean my god. He's amazing. there's nothing like him and we don't talk about him enough because unfortunately these teams thirty six thirty six and we're talking about all spite attack and all that garbage. Chris asked me how many shohei ohtani rookies. Shohei ohtani rookies. You got that would be at last. Count seven seven tiny rookie bay. Smokers trying to buy a boat. "They're using the stuff called spider tack. Which is made for the world's strongest man competitions where they lift those huge boulders like glue these boulders to your hand so they're essentially gluing the ball to their hand and and it just got so out of hand that baseball felt. They had a pr nightmare on their on their hands. Okay so let's walk. Fenway park for a second. Tell me how this is isn't we don't know affecting the red sox. Well it's interesting so it's too soon. Baseball is a marathon not a sprint. As as folks in the game always say so. I think we don't have enough sample size to no sense baseball. Said they're going to crack down this what it looks like but so far. Not great. Red sox pitchers have been getting shelled in the weeks since baseball announced this change which takes effect on monday. Officially i wanna play a little bit of garrett richards who spoke to the media on wednesday after he got shelled He'd been pitching well all season but then just absolutely got rocked and you can hear the frustration in his voice when he's asked what is going to do to the game of baseball i think time. Will i think if you just watch baseball across the league. You're gonna see some interesting things you know. Be prepared for four hour. Long games and and Some interesting things. I don't know. I'm just grateful that i got this far into my career before. Where at this point. That last line is so striking to me. He's a veteran. Who's been around the league for a while. And he's just basically so grateful he didn't have to deal with this rule. Change as a young up and coming pitcher. Because it's making it that much more difficult to hold the ball okay last minute or so. Of course what. I'm focused on is for our games. I love by wanna watch for four hours. So what are the new rules. And what's it gonna mean. It's just basically that can check pitchers their bodies our uniforms. Their gloves hats anywhere. They might hide a foreign substance. And if they find anything even sunscreen they can eject you immediately and you're suspended for ten games with pay so it's not a huge impact for the player but it's going to be really interesting to see how they enforce it. How often they eject guys do. Are they taking up the suspensions and what is that going to mean for. How pitchers approach game. Because they've really all of these pitchers who are complaining are saying look. I used to hold the ball like an egg. Now i have to grip it as tight as i possibly can. And you've had a couple of guys with pretty significant injuries. Say i got injured. Because i had to squeeze the ball tighter than i've ever had to squeeze it and i can't believe they've made this change in the middle of season. Okay lightning round chris. Couple of sentences predictions well. I think you're gonna see up and we've already seen that on some level. I think that's great. We've talked about baseball being hurt by these analytics that it's been all strikeouts or home runs. I think you're gonna see hitters putting a lot more balls in play. You're going to see more runs scored which is exciting. I think it's gonna make for a more exciting product. And i'd say the pictures tough luck you've got to follow the rules big deal. It's the same across the board. Everybody plays by the same rules. Suck it up and get it done. We'll have to have pitchers call in and talk to you. Radio boston's chris sick chris. Thanks thanks you they do..

Chris Doering talks Florida and Georgia

"We welcome in chris during Who gives us her. Quite a look ahead to tomorrow's game. Chris in most years florida hosting lsu of the sec this week. It's been pretty quiet. I am curious as you know those two teams so well especially from florida side What what are they thinking as they get one of their bitter rivals in a bitter rival that they are a prohibitive favorite. It is weird. Isn't it paula. Me and thinking back to win. This game was originally scheduled. I thought most lsu people felt like we're gonna get a chance to play later in the year we'll get healthier. We'll get miles brennan back. We'll be in better position. And i would argue that. They're actually in a worse position now than when they were originally scheduled in october. So i it's kind of a weird dynamic with a lotta florida. Fans looking forward to sec. Championship game next weekend for me. This is all about. Florida has nothing to do with their opponent. Lsu it's about getting right offensively full full-fledged dress rehearsal right costumes everything. Let's go for what we're gonna do next week. I i honestly been kind of disappointed with florida's offensive performance. The last three weeks dating back to the vanderbilt came. Because they just look inconsistent. They look like they walk through a haze periods of time. They look like they're not executing and part of it's their own fault for looking so good against arkansas in the second half and missouri against georgia. We set the bar pretty high for them but focused level has not been there for a full sixty minutes. I want to see all fence. Get back to executing at the level. They were early in the year defensively. Let's get some things shored up. Let's figure out how to keep from giving up these long passing plays. Let's get generate some more pressure on the quarterback. Let's be able to to penetrate and stop the run something. I thought they did. Well against tennessee last week but The thing i'm gonna keep my paul. What are the numbers for. Kyle trask because obviously this is a game as you said against a A bitter rival one. That beat florida by fourteen. Last year florida's got a chance to return the favor but they also have a chance to outduel in back to back weeks what mack jones get did against the very same defense. And don't think that winning the heisman trophy is not something that dan mullen really wants. For contrast and something that will help his program significantly going forward in on that subject. How do you compare. Kyle trash to meg jones. And that's really his main competition now and that we know we know what had next two weeks especially next week but what what what what separates college trask. If anything well first of all. I love both of these guys you know as a former receiver. I love the the accuracy. I love the the the way they re defenses and get the ball to the right guy. On what the defense is dictating But i would go back and say kyle. Traffic is probably had a tougher. Time than what mack jones at and. That's not taking anything away. From mac ios but look at how. Good this offense of line is for alabama. Look at how well they've run the football over the last six games or so look at what. Najji harris has done. Devante smith the reason why iraq jones's numbers look so good on the deep passes over twenty yards and no disrespect. Mac has been really accurate. But when you're throwing a guy that's five yards behind the nearest defender. It makes it a little bit easier. So again i think without the run game florida certainly not able to run the football very well. I don't think they're offensive. Line is the most consistent So i think the load that kyle. Trask bears a little bit harder to to carry them. What jones does now with that being said. Look at the weapons of florida has i. I don't think i've ever been able to say at least in recent years. That florida has more receiving weapons around their quarterback than what alabama does. They've been absolutely loaded but Looking at the way that that not only kind of is utilized trayvon. Grimes justin shorter. All those receivers. Jacob copeland has come on as well Forgetting about tony. Who might be one of the biggest Factor mismatch guys in the sec. Right now but the way. They use the running backs as well. That was something that we saw against georgia so a lot of different guys. That are helping. Kyle trask out. But i think with the advantage that alabama has on the offensive line and that run game to complement the throws down the field. I think kyle may have a little bit more of a impressive Season just because of how much he's had to do himself chris. Couple of games. I want to ask you about one. Particular auburn at mississippi state mississippi state has been up and down we. We've been through that conversation. But i'm really curious about auburn. Because they've had some really good moments this year and then some clunkers especially lately. I know what you're doing here paul. You love it. When i go off on auburn and it's been up and down year with them right early in the season. I was really down on him. I was starting to get A little bit more positive with the way they were able to run the run the football figuring out who they were with take bixby and that offensive line and then they got hit with a bunch of injuries up front Bixby was was banged up.

How's that are headed here are going to be really really pleased with the the lay out there? There's GONNA be some areas to kind of sit in lounge orange. A lot of the a lot of the Sponsors and You know the various entities the racetrack. sponsors sponsors of NHCD are going to have like these little lounge areas. This should be tremendous I- anxious for for more players I've Seen a couple of others trickle in but Chris was down here at at at five thirty and I thought you know what there's our there's our first conversation and and These both excited and nervous. And that you know that's part of that's part of the whole the whole process here is harnessing ernest. Seeing your harnessing your your energy and your focus and keeping the nerves in Jack and then also one thing that in fact I didn't really bring it up but we'll have chances to talk about the time change and it's one reason that some employers as they've had more experience at NHCD they've come earlier to adjust to the time change The so to some degree you know much like when you hear about the NFL teams coming West and playing or or you've vice versa. The West Coast teams coming to the East and essentially playing. If they play at one o'clock it's like playing a game at ten. Am for them. Well th that That that part of it. You've heard me talk about this before you know if you're from the east coast you're gonNA be waking up at at two thirty in the morning you're GONNA get tired at at seven thirty eight nine o'clock and you just can't automatically adjust so a lot of people stay right on the right on east coast time. If they're East coasters others. You know I can tell you I've never when I when I was traveling. The West Coast for years business i. It was a nightmare. I I would be just bleary eyed and I've gotten better about it As as I've gotten older or the certainly come west of as much or more than I did you know years ago..

"Not that that that that'll drive you crazy it. It has over the last several years away every time we make the trip just bad luck now. The the new harness track and how much interest you have in any interested in harness at all. Now I read just headlines about it. I hadn't really run into it all which. I've never watched any harness racing other than just you know it'd be on the TV for background because that you're in you're in in south Western Kentucky. How close is that new? That Oak Ridge. That's all it's about eighty miles. Okay if I'm not mistaken I just briefly read a headline about I didn't and how far are you from from Kentucky downs about an hour and a half so it's it's not to an uncle with it. There's there's no good way to get there from my house or wouldn't take that long to get to conduct downs. That's on my bucket list. I've done not being definitely go up. That's an easy trip and we met. We met at Oakland. Yeah I think it was two thousand Eighteen Arkansas Derby two years ago there we go the an actually. Because you can't be far from Memphis at all. Oh No Matt My wife could tell me about two two and a half hours which my youngest is Saint Jude Basis. They make that drive to Memphis about once every three weeks. So she's got it down to a minute. I'm sure you slip into see the to see the greyhounds at all over now. I have never done that. Yeah everybody says it's it's a tragedy what's happening with because it's fun And and that's a beautiful. That was a that is a nice a nice facility so so if it's two and a half so it's basically you know four hours to Oakland born half probably driving what you mentioned your partner. What what what? Business would trucking company the overrode flatbed stuff and logistics third party. Logistics certain. We've done that for well. I've done it since I was eighteen. Nineteen year old. But I guess it's been doing it on for myself for about twelve years now nice. How many how many trucks I would just run Ten of our own trucks. And then we've got some owner operators and we've scaled-back lot told the economy's just kind of own a I I would stop Margaret's way up but I can see it in the trucking business. Not near as good as it looks as somebody that was is in a and and still has some food interest and was a food broker and did a lot over the years with that. That that's how you tell what's going on is how many yeah you feel what what. The market's GonNa where do it'll it'll give you a precursor that I just don't have the knowledge to know what to do with that information well but But you know what to do with the information nations that you you gleaned from from the from the workouts and from how much workout video do you watch if you if you're appreciating physical Performance and and you can see the way. Horses is finishing and being ridden. A lot of the workout. Video stuff has got to be helpful. Oh Ah and watch how to watch any any. I can find it. I have time expertise big help. They're used to sales and and find workout videos on younger horses until the two and three year old. That's that's a must and that that was a hidden for many years. That was a a a truly hidden dug. It came to betting two year olds right and then. Isn't that sort of somehow. I don't know who it was per. Se that that. Let that cat out of the bag to go and start watching the training doing videos the breeze show videos to get a clue about the you know how a horse work and some of it actually came from the paddock I think from the paddock interviews and the paddock observations. And you would hear the mayor. Maggie is mentioned Maggie Wolfendale and by the way. Congratulations nations. The Maggie and two Tom Worley Who had their second child the other day And I think it was. Let's see today's I've lost track days as ah so I'm GONNA think it might have been Sunday or Monday. So congratulations to The Morley's but I I think maybe maybe Maggie or maybe like maybe in the practice with with Andy would say started. They started to say that you know when the ten flat to Monia M- and watch the you know the the watched the video and that sort of was a hint that elrod. Okay there's a there's a a clue about watching and and granted I mean a horse that the breezes in in March April and May isn't necessarily the same horse in July August September but it it gives you something at something. Yeah exactly and You know the difference. One difference is the that if you come from a background around where you've put your hands on wars and and whether it's the show world and whether it's Barrel barrel racing is as you do and have done retired now right. Yeah you you can tell just a lot more a and then somebody like like me. I mean I've I've I've come to really appreciate the physical part And and feel so much more equipped than I did when I first started watching you know to to to get a clue about how rush Roy ours is moving and and how it looks and how horses built for the assignment. You know the ones that are being asked to stretch out but they you know they look short neck than they looked like a sprinter short shrouded the Yup. I hear you guys talk about trim notes. No you know. We told me well He. It was wide and he checked and we rallied. Not but they don't tell me nothing about what the jockey was doing to get him to do these things but he was a prime example. She said she was right off. Track records to three times what you can make this year and just toying. He's sitting there. He's not even moving guys. Talk about the trip notes and they don't bring up any of that. I don't know if they don't looker that that comes that that's the differential torrential. There is that they can they can appreciate and they can see where where was was written in trouble and lost lost sight ground or or lost a length in a based on on the way in which things unfolded but that that's a nuance that is very tough to the barrel racing background. Maybe why go there. Because you're always learning as a kid. I was told you know. Watch this person. Watch this person while I'm watching what they do with their hands and their feet. That's you know that's what I wanted to know. So that I I think even the one watching replays I went well a big factor me light use formulated when you click a replay on formulator. It's four ADP or whatever it is you know. It's not high desk so then I had to go somewhere else because I can't see it. I can't see the rain. You know I'm looking I've got I've gotTa have some hd somewhere where I can see looking at well and for those for those that are listening that You know that have for years complained about how slow oh the sport was the make the move to high definition. Here's here's a perfect example. Somebody that's going to bet money and needs Eh Hd well to be able to it affects it affects my playing Churchill in programs. I play fairground. Some 'cause it's wintertime but avoid avoid Churchill and fairgrounds for two reasons one is there's no hd the replays or their well it's two thousand twenty. It's pathetic I don't know that's fair and then of course you user racism contests place that time wise. I'm always you know I'm looking taking their first well. And so the you know the tracks that have made the commitment a There your beneficiary of a player like Chris Chris Couples with us from Hazel Kentucky his first NHCD's double qualified. HOW'RE YOU GONNA anew split up the tickets? Have you thought about the approach about how you're going to. You know where you're going to keep them on a parallel track for a period Talk about the strategy adage that front will mainly depend on what I find but The second entry obstacle that you throw some frozen bombs and air if you find something take a little some risk here and there but mainly it'll just depend on where my opinions get stronger where they don't and if I can find strong opinions I'll double them up and running parallel well but it mainly just spend on what I find one other one other thing that popped in my head when it comes to the deep trip notes and horses that you're tracking how how to barn changes and Jock Changes Affect Act your decision making and latching onto wars that you know that may have essentially had their chances. Compromised by by writer doesn't fit either style wise or a a writer that's not taking full advantage of of the horse then what the Horse can do barn changes. Obviously you look at but Jockey changes to me is when I'm figuring out the pace of the race jockey. Changes is probably the second thing I do in my process until I these agents and riders don't know more than I do about these horses than we've got a big problem so I look where they're going where they're moving. That's a big big factor who who among Writer the riding riding community who who in your mind moves a horse up And and of course when it comes to turf you know there. There's certain certain style points in in certain certain approaches that right that certain guys just seemed to go there and and and frankly there's some guys that are that aren't necessarily thought of as you know the the most elite riders in the game but are very good in in in certain circumstances A lot of teams on what what race it is. Obviously you know sprinting rounding whatever Pratt. y'All watchword Pratt goes changes horses reason. It's the one he got off of. Looks time better on paper. It don't matter until the guys know what they're doing obviously I look you if I see some watching replays and something's a little rain and whatnot. They you know Mike Smith gets on it. He's obviously horsemen. He's you know he's a hall of fame Jockey ocoee. But he's done it all his life he's good with communism communism type down. I've seen that over and over Underrated raided. I'll always look see James Graham if I'm playing fairgrounds or something Nice Nice Nice job on. Moving one's up lead have specific products similar. To like Mike. You know something that's rank or whatnot Style you know if I put Larry on something and he draws inside and it Kinda the closer it's going to set off and there's some pace you're gonNA move. That went up on noise. Just everything's everything's just based on the situation I guess I don't don't look for no obvious certain pattern and this past weekend I had I had the The beat the host assignment and I guess it was it was that I think it was the race. That was coming off the turf. It was it was the race that we knew was going to end up being off the turf the last race allowance race at Gulfstream and Paco Lopez was getting was. I think it was Paka was is getting on that. was going to be on that The Kelly Green on the outside state of war I think it was the worst his name and I and I was drawn to him. I remember looking at the horse because I figured you know what ended up that. It wasn't a wet wasn't a sloppy wet day at all. Aw but I thought you know what pocket was going to put this horse. You know right on and there's a real and I was kind kind of the back of my mind thinking well if it rains It's going to be wet and slick you know he can. He can get out. You know he did. He did get out and then got overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by the obvious By the obvious favourite Ended up ended up winning. But that's the kind of scenario you know what was going to happen exactly. And and did you get your conceiving in your mind you know how. How do I see this and this particular guy getting on board? How is that going to You know change the the you know the flow and and meet personally. That's why I picked state of war on on Saturday. He's going to be on WPRO news traffic trouble if it sloppy. He's not going to take it to face off. He's going to go and he you know I wasn't unhappy. Be With the you know the way it it. It turned out but those are the decisions. I'll give you the guy as well from off the pace on on the grass the job Bravo. Oh yeah he does and you know and people I mean Joe patient.

"Set set way that wager. How tickets structure though what I if you if you see a a prime opportunity is it. Is it a group of horses that you can see that that there's only these three or four horses In a field of how does field size apply into it and and what what defines a A prime betting opportunity for you larger fields deter phrases. I'm look at harder if I can find that one horse. Breeders Cup I didn't place in the betting challenge but I I think I was. Maybe in the twentieth range Just out of the money but Race I've been strong any all year and I had If I did what I was GonNa do before kind of chickened out a little bit backed off I I was GonNa have any over Got Stormy and then I had two horses in third and I was just going to do my whole bankroll that way and I kind of worst out a little bit and I built that take it. I just didn't put all my money there. And then I made some different structures route that I I went back and figured it up. If I would just hit that would have been sitting second or third after that race but not a lot of experience less than learn their but but I- back to your question man. I'm looking for that key horse like I thought he was far above and beyond anything this year and I waited on that race and we're not finding on things like that. I've learned to attack it hard. The the the trigger pulling winging it is is one of the things that I think. People that are are are evolving as a player. I that's the that's I think. One of the hardest things the at and it's it's really a self confidence. It's a self confidence element and and also a fear factor. Uh of reaching deeper to bet your strongest opinion and you know because one the things you hear all the time from successful players and the high profile players is I bet you're the most on your strongest opinion and I. It's it's hard hard. It's hard to to peel off. You know that extra that extra layer I mean to you. Know to make the biggest bet you've ever ever made It it that part of it is comes. That's more of a of a inside right and in a lot of that was pushing his is. Listen you know listen to guys come on your show and talk about it and guys come on Pete Show and you don't hear hearing them guys that are done this for years and are very good at it saying you. When you get that opinion you gotta go did you? Did you get a qualifier for BCC or did you or did you Pony money up. You bought it because that's you know. That's a significant investment. That's to me. The structure of the BBC inequality racing. It's it's the the best opportunity especially for Maggie. 'CAUSE I I try to stay away from your climbers and just for time purposes. He's not my process is so slow I don't have time to look at all them. NBN Breeders Cup. You've just got stakes race after stakes. It's just a good opportunity and you're familiar with the horses. I mean you've seen for the most part you've seen almost all of their race it is nice to have all that you know you've got all this replay formation in there and trip notes already and you're not looking at something fresh and much much easier here. How how often do you play this year? I played every weekend until I rarely missed the weekend that I didn't play. You know some weekends are just dabble maybe look at the races or the contest. A lot of it depends on how much time I have in the week to get a head start on it. I WANNA make sure to for you to talk about your your racing interest to and RACING UP IN INDIANA. WHO's trained for Randy Hafner? He's a quarter horse and thoroughbred trainer Good friend bars until please. He's had some really good quarter horses over over the years and then thoroughbreds Scott I cannot remember the sire. He's got a third but they Indiana broke. Ground is good money very much. Yeah very much. So and how often do you get up to the grant. Unfortunately yeah maybe once or twice a year. I don't even know that I went two thousand nineteen at all which we we scaled back some. I think two thousand eighteen. We started the season. I think we had thirteen or fourteen head and right now we've only got three just horses. Ah aged and just like the handicapping in the wagering. It took a little while to learn to be very picky about what you drop a tag for. You know. Be Patient and wait late from one that she was excited about claiming and not one that you swear he's where you know worked dropping to tag. It took a long time to get to that point. Also where do you may be thinking something in terms of getting to the racetrack. Thank you Keith. Champlin delivering a coffee waiting for it's three. AM The the. Did you play from home. Where'd you play from home plate from? Yeah I'm a lot more comfortable at home. The quiet I've I've not played in. I played in a couple of smaller live money contests and when I was at Keeneland keeneland but nothing major. Just I'll get distracted. It's hard I it's hard and and that's why I I I I find it just ridiculous when when we we hear from people criticizing the racetrack attendants i. It's UH People are playing from home. I tried to convince I tried to convince I think it was somebody. A blood horse might have been might have been a conversation. I had with Evan hammonds about Producing a virtual attendance attendance number. Take the handle from day. And we know what the what the average per person handle is and divided vied it because when when they say oh there were only three thousand people at Belmont on Friday. No actually there were there. Were Forty six thousand Zain people at Belmont on Friday it. It doesn't it it just. It's just the dumbest approach the there's plenty of things to criticize criticize about the game. Attendance isn't one of them dry. Considering that our biggest defense and the boutique events are wildly successful in well attended but the the Monday through. Friday There's more people playing from home and have access access to it than ever before. That's just crazy in. Its every day until the guy that played daily. They play everyday absolutely although you know one of the frustrations nations right now is as you said. you can. You can look at at dozens of races on a day and find Eh. Just not find the betting opportunity that you that that really is exciting. I mean do you have. Do you have enough self control to you know to bypass action. Absolutely you can sit and let him let the racist run and not feel a need to. It took me wild. Get to that point. You know at first you're going to the tracking like oh I got a bit something never rice and home and there's a lot of people don't want to hear somebody say don't do that but no no no no. You can do that if you want to. But it's it's going to be a long hard road lesser extremely lucky. One thing I think would that I look look at like fairgrounds. fairgrounds drawing their cards so far. Yep which is easier said than done because you get your horse manure so much I it it it works. It doesn't is not holding anybody back right and to me. That's that is huge. You like how far advanced will you look at looking. Because he gives you time to replace right five or six five or six times huge to me well just like right. Now it's Wednesday MAPRA and most guys. I'm sure not near slow as I am so it's not a big deal to them to me. It is you know. I run out of time every weekend. And there's racism I don't look at. It could be opportunity that I would put money in then pools but there there. There's no way I can handicap. We'll right would stay Wednesday so besides fairground your main tracks when we don't have any Saturday interest entries. What blend o'clock today you know? They'll start out but again it's I'm not. I don't want to criticize it. 'cause it's hard alone. Don't you're writing your book and trainers you know they. They've they've You know everybody's adjusted and for certainly for personally for the stakes cards I. It's a delight the absolute get to get that far out in front front which you can look at your nominations. Yeah but it's not the same. No one sane not the same as knowing and the and the same is true with the way in which the Breeders Cup and the triple crown around Days have adjusted. They've back the Tuesdays in Monday's for draws and and it it absolutely contribute it staff and understanding yeah absolute circuit wise. What what? How much of a challenge is that going to be to you in terms of places that either you may not watch on a regular basis or that you'll be watching some replays that You know on on on an oval that you don't really see that often golden gates about the only tracked that they're using that I don't play at all until I I don't I cannot recall making your wager at Golden Gate. Neither neither could Michael Bay check and until one the one. Yeah what do you what do you The horse that he eventually adopted actually too. I'm GonNa Forget it today Yeah about the only polly I would bind about the only time I even play polly track until every once in a while turf way but not very often now. It's such a better product at turf way I I I wish I had more time to look at it. They released They released January handle numbers yesterday. And the turf what numbers were up close to fifty percent and if ever there was just raw all evidence that you know that the betting product and of course the product is horses. Follow money and and the people we've talked to that have left horses and Kentucky that normally would have gone wherever oaklawn fairgrounds Stampa Gulfstream They left horses up at You know at at Caitlyn than and the training centers and up to turf way and it. Just just it's just obvious. Oh Yeah I've not handicapped and just looking at the names. I looked at the results. And then you know in some of the voices enough bracing at turf way over the winter. Passover years I can tell the quality their way up and well and and the field field size fields is generally had had still been been good in when you would look at a at a turf way card. They the the race is it was such a crazy. It just seemed like I watched during the winter. It was such a it. Seemed like it was just mayhem out. There kickback with the with the with the big clouds of dust that the horses rallying from the from off the pace he said it it was. It was a certain brand of racing at turf way that I mean it's going to get a complete overhaul when they're gonNA put in Did you know that it's going to be a prior. It was a lot of it. Was You know that was your only often. We had horses that were good turf forces. They'd run okay on the Pali Elaine. Yates in some dirt horses down there. They were just running to run exactly by time until coming back around. We we do that. And we do that AH aqueduct forces had a couple of starts and you know the once in a while we've had you know we had we had a turf mayor you know kind of spring a surprise Williams lucky gray. She one in February at that. You know kind of dumbfounded Nice. Yeah I was like Yeah okay I I you know I really expect them. She was strictly seemed like strictly a turf mayor but found the right field. And the right circumstances No it's it's there's there's really nothing like you said that it's been frustrating trying to get a a family photo Win Photo together with everybody..

"Is somebody that is directly involved in Harrisburg Berg. That was involved in the creation of the of the trust of the Development Fund. And we'll explain How racing interest in the state standard bread and thoroughbred will defend? What they you know what they've created and and why and what the results have been you know including more than twenty thousand jobs directly Have jobs directly associated associated with racing and breeding in Pennsylvania and and more so Senator Tomlinson as well sat mero and then a couple of other supplies visits like like like Chris. Couples who's sitting here with me and listening to me drone on the Galore morning state pleasure. You just came in win and I commend Sunday. Evening said we in time for your time for Super Bowl well had it planned that way and then flight got delayed. got here right before halftime Tom. So get to see the second which you know which pretty much You know not that. The first half wasn't interesting but Certainly certainly the last ten minutes with appointed entity in but it was good football until I went back and watch the first half of my phone. Well it's good football because it kept seeing twitter blown up you know It's boring boring about it was it was it was. It seemed the way. San Francisco came out. And you look look look like a lot of a lot of the San Francisco dialogue about the defense and so forth and but then when when the when when the chiefs came back and scored that that go ahead touchdown all right there you know. I think it was just because the chiefs that weren't lighting it up and weren't moving the ball all in the way that we've seen in the previous few weeks I it just it didn't have it didn't have that you know that fastbreak style right football. I think we thought maybe we might get But it was the ultimate ultimately satisfied. Did you have any action. You're able to get anything in. I had a small bed here at the sports book in the think it was again in the fourth quarter but nothing nothing happened there. Well and in fact we were talking before before the show and it it. You've really focused in on on playing horses and I and I found that very interesting that you know you were playing some daily the Fantasy sports and so forth. Talk About D- your your interest in in getting here and getting to the contents because this is your i. This'll be your first at eight. Say Well I'll back up to the law played Vandeweghe draftkings. I Guess Be Sixteen Fifteen. Sixteen years there's real heavy dabbled in the horses a little bit. But while I was placed in the top ten of the millionaire and fan deal in two thousand sixteen I think three times in one year GRANDPA was it was turned into a job quickly and then as I got into the horses and I remember seventeen and eighteen when winter. We'll get into football season. I just quit. Playing horses. Not focused back on football but as things changed in her. You got all these websites and magazines so the stuff that I had an advantage on then I didn't have any more because because all these people were giving it out you know you have a subscription or whatever dinners the radio show on Sirius twenty four hours fantasy sports well well this is the first year or two thousand nineteen the first year. I completely quit everything. I don't do any sports betting. I don't do any daily finish at all. Aw primarily focused horses only and get an innate see the first year that I've tried to qualify. It was it was. It was a long year trying though. Oh Hug give you that you you did the kind of toward you know you kept your eye on the tour points and if that was an avenue and talk about the two qualifications and and and how what options you were you were utilizing because you've kind of feel like you're better cash player than you. Are you know the web what we're what we're essentially doing here. which is the you know the wind place? Yeah absolutely all year just seemed like I was one or two spots out from getting a qualifying spot. You know led had a large amount of points stayed in the top fifty sixty points all year. Sel I was kinda banking the top one hundred not qualified getting in and then The last two big hits Santa Anita were live money. I think the fifteen hundred dollar by ends and I got a spot and both of them so I feel like I'm a lot better at the lab money but you have to win in Rome. You GotTa do you gotTa dance this tuna and essentially. It's it's picking you know it's it's picking winners and trying to decide I guess and as we've talked about this for so long just picking the the winner that you could conceive at the best price and are you. Have you thought about the strategy. Gee here in terms of picking a number and trying to work your way to the number. I we hear that so often not really. I've just kind of based on my everyday game until I. It took a while to get to this point in that I'm a handicap twenty races which have very slow process and watching replays replays and there may be Saturday and Sundays where I go through forty races and don't make a single wager. It's took a long time and a pricey education education to get to that point where I can be that patient in so I'm trying to stick that but like Friday. I haven't found very much like your lower level climbers and stuff. I don't play a lot of those this you know it forces you into that that role and I found a few Saturday. I look forward to a lot more. Be a little better quality raising the rain. The Rain Kinda got me a little. I'm a better paint cafe standards well on this topic then because I immediately curious and I'm sure people listening are talk about the process and and how it how you crafted your game because the interesting part of of a lot of this is you you come from from equine. You come from from racing. Barrel racing and quarter horsing. And you were around it. I'm curious why you weren't. Why why you were betting? Even even earlier the going going back years growing up I always Horsera- we watch the Derby at about all we watched and then I guess about ten years ago me. And my business parter star worked together and his father had racehorses and we started dabbling in climbers Kinda. Got My attention just part time but I really didn't do any wagering in it. Just slowly built up from there we started we started dabbling into climbers. Shaw started watching replays mainly for that purpose. Trying to find horses to claim We've picked out ninety percent of the wishes we we've owned. You know me and him picked ourselves. So that's where I got watching the replays and that led to the handicapping and in my process every I don't watch replays. I don't let myself but I know in. Its took a long time to get. That's that's amazing actually that That's remarkable because that. Ah obviously I mean you talked about the from the fantasy sports a standpoint about making it a job I mean obviously if you are are determined to know what every horse in the race has you know has how they've performed then then you're you're really working. It added. Yeah I I kind of look at it like this and these guys that are going to be here. This weekend had been doing this for decades and they can pick up a form and pick a winner just boom well. I'm not going to have that kind of knowledge I've got to try it out work until that's the only option from a from a trial and error standpoint joint. What what was the the way in which you've found and settled on on race watching and and you know utilizing that what other what other considerations do you make when when when you open up a program I look at a pace of of course the first thing I do is I'm trying to figure out the pace the race obviously and kind of position where everybody's at After I watch I look at a lot of times but obviously if you don't keep up the tracks on a regular basis you don't know what the Times mean so. That takes a lot of you know I try to watch replays. Every week your main tracks made special awaits you hire optionals and try to keep up on that but I put a lot of focus on times and a Lotta guys. Don't do that I just you gotTa Know Win to rule allowed them times and when not to rule them out I think but Replacing the trips hard ones being road and something I really think I excel at is. You're you're right now this time of year. We're three girls or stretching out because you can see that Monte languaging stride and just see how hard to be influenced. I've I've done really well at that Derby and that's really probably what got me going into the Derby. I did really good at the Derby for just about every year for the past eight years. What's your best? WHO's your? Who's your favorite Derby winner? Well my favorite. I don't have a favorite derby. My favorite was rum's looking at LE- I was all over. Ah when he was coming up the rail I know my heart was jumping up my back. How did you bet him I had? I had exactly that. You're had three horses. The Knicks active. I hit that and then I had across the board on him pretty heavy about that looking at les. They say it's so so great because not a winner but it just it kind of it kind of speaks to how many different ways there are to win in in the game because it. It isn't necessarily finding the winner as much as identifying go horse that has a chance at a price and then betting it properly right and it took me a long time to learn learn to bedding at properly park. That's been a long long road to that education since we're not since it's not a cash Contests explain explain how your how your ticket structure evolved and and how you apply your bankroll. I've been asked that question by friends before into meters. The race tells me what I'm GonNa do. I'm not I can't sit here and say I'm an exact a player. Try to player. I'm a wind player. Every race to me comes different tells me what I'm GonNa do if I find anything at all. It seems like lately in the lion contest. I have found a lot of traffic over kind of been leaning that.

"One o'clock eastern tent Pacific from Gulfstream. And the last will be the ninth from Oakland. In fact I talked to hammer About a half hour ago hammered power was trying to plan ahead and make sure that When they draw the Saturday card they're able bill to place some races that will really fit nicely into the players plans? So we're you just get a start to wade into that and we're GONNA talk to talk to an early an early visitor to the ballroom at a minute. Chris Couples I am going to join us for Basil Kentucky. And it's his first. NHCD so it's all going to be uh new to him and He's excited he's got double qualified to so we've got two tickets to play and we'll talk to Chris said Fernando Course Our to we'll talk to sit about the weekend winners. The three forces that took the next step is the law and thousand words. Familiar the names from the weekend and going into them and then Max player who is a new face and I- I I'll try Linda Rice again. Linda had Linda had an appointment off the racetrack. Yesterday that had her leave so I didn't get a chance Didn't wasn't going to be able to talk to Linda yesterday. So maybe we'll get Linda in this morning as well to talk about Max player So we'll do some pedigree particularly the The ones that some motions that performed well Royal Act For instance we talked yesterday after the show. Peter and Peter's thrilled thrilled with royal acts performance and feels like he's another horse. That's GONNA keep getting better as they as the racist. Stretch from eight and a half to nine furlongs As it happens a Royal Act did not make the the next round of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager. They released it yesterday. We'll certainly talk to Marty McGee on Friday and go through the the wager opens. Friday closes Sunday and haven't really dug into it other than to notice. Some of the names that are going to be new. And that includes Max player Violet. What city made this This is going to be one of the longer morning. Line odds violent city fifty to one but the names that we just kind of touched on including Tis the law who of the individual betting interest is the law eight to one fifteen to one on one thousand words twelve to one day Dow that. That's that's an aggressive price Considering considering that maybe some maiden winner Yesterday you heard from Baffert in fact if you're listening to the replay. Just were listening to the BAFFERT minutes ago. Max Field fifteen to one. He's getting back into the swing of things. Tend to one on independence hall. Who we're going to see in the Sam Davis on Saturday and of course if he he wins impressively a you'll drive that number down and then this moment? Twelve to one and and authentic and Baffert fifteen to one. So those are the those are the teens from eight to one up to fifteen to one And then Bigger prices and no door pointing for the risen star thirty to one based on here for Asmussen. Thirty two one chance. It who I I'm going to assume is is waiting for the Fountain of Youth Thirty Two one enforceable thirty two one for cassie exalted fifty to one Gold Street off the Lecompte win. Thirty two one governor Morris as Todd Pletcher told you he's gearing up honorary p thirty two one and honorary p getting back into the Picture and then down to palm springs. The that's A. That's an interesting inclusion. Here's a here's a maiden winner Fifty to the one with the second star Premier Star fifty to one silver state fifty to one storm. The court thirty two one and people will get a chance to see him. Run run before the pool closes in the sand vicinity on Sunday and you can guess that a good performance will drive his price down thirty two one for structure was going to get his chances on dirt and finally thousand words a the three technique below thousand words fifty to one and that number is going to get some attention Three Technique aac people will will certainly bet Off of the Nice closing Effort in the smarty in the Smarty Jones House and five two on the field. So there's your future wager list for pool to third hour today. We'll talk to sixth district. State Senator Tommy Tomlinson Bucks County State Senator in Pennsylvania after Governor Wolf's budget proposal yesterday yesterday Set off alarm bells as he threatened to raid the Resource Development Fund. The thing is the fund is trust. It's not a it's not. It's not a pool of money that is just being dipped into out of state coffers. It's not state money. It's money that it was created in in two thousand seventeen for a long-term planning for breeders and the the idea that the money would be there for a extended period and there's already been a pushback against the governor's proposal because he's our tax dollars. It's money that comes out of the casino funds and it we'll find out from we'll find out from Senator Tomlinson what his thoughts are But in just two years. There's there's a a lot of evidence that the the Development Fund program has been a been successful. I mean you hear evacuee here Ads from the Pennsylvania Breeding and racing interests and it's a state where mayor's bread is rising and Pennsylvania Brad Program is as really grown quickly and the from a quality standpoint you the champions and great at stake winners and there's been a big influx of of stallions into the state and in that we we only talk about thoroughbred interests For those that might not be aware because we don't talk harness too often but Pennsylvania is essentially the Kentucky of of standard breads there. It's the epicenter of of the standard bred breeding world.

Fire Starter: John Leonard Orr

"The shocking story of arson investigator John Leonard or began back in Nineteen eighty-four a fire in Pasadena California hardware. The store killed four people including a two year old child arson. Investigators examined the ruins and determined that the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction. All except for John or he was convinced that the cause was arson. Join US at the quiet end today. For the case of a fire captain and arson investigator John or with nearly two thousand suspicious fires over the next seven years a task force was formed to find serial arsonists. The task force called themselves. The pillow pyro task force and their methods of investigation. Were both fascinating and effective diff- so it should be a great talk today and this case was recommended to us by Cindy. Well Cindy's recommended a few cases for us. She's One of our most avid listeners. So we always like to hear from her okay so we have a California beer. I've never picked on. I'm from this brewery before I can't imagine my favorite brewers have haven't chosen anyway. This is from Sierra Nevada brewing company. It celebration fresh fresh hop. I P A Sierra Nevada brewing is in Chico California celebrations in American Ip with a six point eight percent Ab Victor. Nice beer are Jamba colour. Little Bit ahead some pretty lace kind of a spicy aroma. peppery aroma. Some sweet mall little bit of hops. And that's exactly how it tastes. He started out with the CARAMEL. Little Spicy peppery Steph and then hops at the end and it's a nice beer. It's not terribly happy. Not One of those hot bombs that are GONNA kill you. I think you to enjoy it all right. Well let's open it up okay so I was really surprised. This is your first Sierra Nevada. Ah Let's take it down to the quiet end. I don't know how I've missed Sierra Nevada. Anyway I had a ton of Beers from that company so if we have other California cases you'll probably more of them great so until the case this is a just a fascinating case to me. It really yes yes. Yeah so by John. Moore's own description. His childhood growing up in the nineteen fifties was a happy one. He lived in a two bedroom middle-class home home behind his grandparents house. He had two older brothers who moved away when John was a teenager. Went to join the navy and the other start his own family Alan China's sixteen his mother left him and his father alone with no explanation. She just took off one day. She called after few days but John didn't see her again for three years and she had moved back to her hometown of Missouri and she never did reconcile John's father. That's kind of a strange thing to happen when you're a teen share I'm sure it was pretty weird and a little disheartening for him. Definitely one Sunday. She's there the next day she's not and no real explanation. Though in nineteen sixty seven John. Join the airforce. After he completed basic training training he was in jet mechanics training then he transferred to firefighting school. He had wanted to be a firefighter for some time. So he's happy to learn. Learn how to operate the equipment as he put out training fires yet. He married his high school girlfriend. Jodi in nineteen sixty eight and they were shipped off to an air air force base in Spain which was near Commercial Airport and they were there for two years but John was kind of bored. He only got to respond to to air-crashes during that time and he really wanted to be more in on the action. When John was transferred to great falls Montana he fought only one fire then when he he was twenty two he was honorably discharged at this time? Jodi was pregnant with their first child. John was insecure and he came across as a bit of a Bragar in order to compensate for this he really wanted to become a policeman or a firefighter. The Los Angeles Police Department invited him to test for position mission and he passed the written tests the medical exam and the fitness test but he failed the psychological test. He was sent a letter telling him that he he was unsuitable. So this was a big thing for him. He had wanted to be a policeman very badly. Your that was his main goal to be a cop. Yeah so this'll be pointed back to. As a really huge disappointment mitch merely might have had an effect on who he became as a man or your. I think you could look at it. That we could also look at it as there is something in his psychological makeup that made him on high rable. Oh sure yeah I think it went both ways after getting past feeling hurt. He was very angry. The rejection letter suggested that he consult another psychologist so so he hired one that he found in the yellow pages. This psychologist didn't evaluation and found him suitable but remember. This is the person he was paying but now he had a second opinion so he took that back to the LAPD psychologist for an appeal of that decision. You know the LAPD psychologist couldn't couldn't tell John Anything specific about why he had been rejected other than the say that he might have been too passive. Police officers needed to be assertive but then the psychologist left John Alone in his office with the file. He said I'm going to go out and get a cup of coffee. I think he kind of intentionally left the father so John read the file and so that one of his co workers had been interviewed and told the psychologist that John was laid to work lazy and resentful eventful of another man being promoted over him so I can't see any other way that this happened. Then the psychologist was really giving him an opportunity to look at his file. Were were absolutely the final evaluation stated that John Needed a few years to mature. And then maybe he could reapply to the force now. John Though would never admit to seeing his diagnosis in that file but he had actually been diagnosed with a personality trait disturbance and emotionally unstable personality. His former supervisors had described him as both irresponsible and immature as well. So this time John was working for Sparkletts marklets bottled water company. He quit that job and entered the management program at a fast food restaurant. It was nineteen seventy three and John was going going from one fast food job to another before he quit and he applied next to the Los Angeles Fire Department. He was couldn't be a policeman. He can be a fireman. Yeah I think it was as backup plan. And he was really thrilled when he was accepted to the academy for training but it turns out he was out of shape and he wasn't up to the rigors of the academy physically. He was told that he'd also done poorly on the written test so he was just given the option to resign or he. It's going to be fired so he was very angry and upset when this happened. Yeah and part of his problem was probably his attitude his after all had been a firefighter for four years in air force so he felt like he didn't need to study your practice now his time in the air force vote. He's half a couple fires Chris couple crashes and he. It didn't have much training. But he thought he did. So he didn't participate in study sessions with other recruits and he hadn't practice handling the heavy ladders and equipment and they were heavy. These big wooden ladders. He apparently in the service they had the light aluminum ladders. So this was a whole all different ballgame per handed so after that failure John was absolutely despondent and by this time he had two young daughters and his marriage was on the rocks. That's when he applied to the Glendale Fire Department and they accepted him in their fire academy in the spring of seventy four. He completed eight weeks of training and he graduated with twelve other guys. He was starting his career as a firefighter and he was super happy about it. Even though the Pay Glendale was a lot at less than it would have been at the L. A. P. D. or the L. A. F. D. wasn't it Glendale lowest paying in the state or something like that at the the time it was. Yeah maybe that's why I got hired. Nobody wanted to work for them. I'm sure that was part of it. Because he really wasn't. The top of the picks no her psychological report from earlier says a lot doesn't it it really does and also at home things weren't improving. He was really bored on his days off so he ended up taking a part time job at a seven eleven as a clerk then he bought himself pickup truck and went on camping and in hunting trips on his own without his family he ended up befriending a woman at the seven eleven and other employees who is also unhappy in her marriage and the two of them decided to be roommates leave their spouses and apparently this was Not a sexual thing at all it was just a friendship allegedly anyway yes so. John left his wife Jodi leaving her just note as an explanation for what is doing a lot like what his mother did. He pay child support and he also began taking classes in fire science in police science. John believed that. The police didn't show enough respect for firefighters fighters and he examined the conflicts between the two groups and a writing assignment is still working at the seven eleven and he used what he was learning to help him spot shoplifters in the store yeah he got really into that his boss at the seven eleven was impressed at how good he got at catching shoplifters John would would watch kids who came into the store after school and he catch them making them empty their pockets and return things so this was a big thing for John. I mean to the point of weirdness really yeah very weird when example in nineteen seventy six. While he was out shopping he saw men running toward a car with his arms full of suits from Montgomery wards store so John or chased. The man knocked him down and helped the store security guard hold the man until the police arrived yet. He and he was clearly thrilled with this moment. He talked to the security guards and he actually asked them if he could get a part time job working in mall security but the mall said they only hired off-duty policeman and not firefighters. So there's another bruise to his ego. That's right he's already been told his second class this anyway. Because he's a Fire Department Dinata Police Department guy. Yeah and I don't know if that's really a thing but he definitely saw that way. He saw a lot of things in a slightly slightly off center. Way That's true he did. He wasn't quite right. We know that so. John was disappointed that he couldn't get a mall. Security John but that didn't deter them from doing other good deeds the same day. He saw an older man. Shoplifting hand tools. He told the cashier got the man arrested. So he asked at the sears store about getting a part time job with security

"Of the things we've found out with this new aero package if you get mired back in the dirty air you really pay a penalty to try to get back to the front. So Kyle Busch going for the sweep here this weekend. It just got a lot more. More difficult for the driver of the eighteen yesterday unscheduled pit stop late rather early in that race the Boyd gaming three hundred. He got down a lap bought his way back in one it. He's now got a hill to climb in the Pennzoil four hundred guy. I've had a chance to note for a long time Chris out Chris Paul runs the show here Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Closed off Chris nice crowd here today. Greg crowd here today. Let's go Chris Bethpage up next on the fan. I chris. Hey, Chris couple of being first of all the giant fan. You all may remember we got police good in two thousand and two playoff game against the Niners and done. Done about it. It's a replay. Oh, he could have fixed that. Their parents on cyber would have been able to read kick it. Hopefully would have won any out. Avid suggestion. I don't. About in overtime in the playoffs. Whatever try regular season, but playoff small things. Team with to coin flip. And they could choose to get the ball at their own fifteen or give it to the other team fifteen team like the bears and the ravens may say, hey, we got a good defense. I'm gonna let you start on the fifteenth. I'll take my chances with stopping you getting the ball back and getting a short field goal. And then make the team goal. You know, eighty five yards for a touchdown eighty five yards. Ten yards. Also, make it a little bit tougher. If you're gonna does lean cuts the offense. I don't I don't hate that idea. I'll tell you right now, Chris I don't hate that idea. And I don't hate anything in which the possibility of winning the toss would make it a decision because right now, it's not a decision when you win the toss in playoff football. You take the ball every time. And if in fact as people are claiming that this is a fair way to decide football games, then somebody. In the history of the playoffs would have elected to kick. Somebody would have said, you know, what we wanna toss. But we're gonna kick. And the fact that no one has. Tells you all you need to know about whether the system is fair enough Brian Long Island next on the fan. I'm brian. Oh you in. Really work regular season. I guess it won't work and you'd have to look into a little bit of a different way for the Super Bowl. But you know to get into a wildcard game where you get into the playoffs. You gotta earn home field advantage. Why doesn't feel advantage? Maybe carry into overtime. You you you you. You have more wins. You one more game division. You're the home team. You get the ball. If it goes into overtime. You get the ball first war like your you said the decision if it goes into overtime, whether you want the ball or or not I don't hate that. But my my point is is simply that I want both teams offenses to have a chance in the overtime. So and the thing about that part of it that you just mentioned is. You fought hard for sixty minutes and your time. I don't want either team to have an advantage now based on homefield that ship sailed to me at the beginning of the game. So if I'm the road team and I've battled to a tie through sixty minutes of play. I don't wanna now not get the ball over time. Simply because I'm not the home team. I don't hate that idea. But I don't think you could do better than that. And again, my foundation is always that both teams offenses and defenses must play in the overtime. By rule that they have to play Paul hamden next on the fan. Hi, paul. Hey, what's up? Chris. All good. What do you got? You mentioned before something that I wonder about. Call admits Republic that they are not trying to win that there are tanking. I wonder what the cake for that team for there to be anything less than a out at the garden for the past twenty years. They've kind of made it clear that they're they're willing to throw anything out there. And yet it's a sell out every single night including this abysmal. I wonder if they truly admitted they were they had a process like the Sixers set a couple of years ago. And we're taking if they would if anyone wouldn't show up to the games. I think that's one of the many many problems his ation that doesn't seem to be any financial whatsoever. To put a winning team out there. That's correct. And all of your or most of your sports, frustrations NC, double A, or pro sports frustrations are grounded in that they're grounded in the fact that revenue is not tied in large part to attendance in many, many places. Now, the Knicks are an extreme example. But the NBA is also the weirdest league because the NBA's not competitive the NBA cells stars they don't sell competition. No one has much doubt the Golden State's gonna win. Again. They can say they do as they always do all arguing with him on Twitter in April, and may and then June will common gold state will win and people will pretend they never made those arguments. So the league doesn't run on competition. It runs on entertainment, and they know that. And the thing about the NBA is thank God. It's working because it's only gonna get worse. What do you notice now players go to play with other players or they can win? They don't want to be the star with four stiffs. They wanna be a star with two other stars. So that they can compete for title. They don't wanna be the lone attraction. They don't want to be the lead singer. They want to be a trio. Of stars. They want to be the Beatles. Pick your favorite. They don't want to be the east street band. They want to be Bruce Springsteen with. Billy, Joel David Bowie. They wanna be with stars with stars. So if the league relied on competition, they'd really be in trouble. Because good players only wanna play these days where they're going to get rich anywhere. We'll other good players. Al Morris county next on the fan. I'll. Hi do points before I get to my football point. I think the NBA has a a lower salary cap to that. You can't go beneath. They do not spending money. It didn't. Yes, they have. They have a floor just for that reason that you just talked about. So that they they are forced to have a competitive team. Okay. But the the point you made about high scoring teams are top team the play not the Nick. First of all Tampa Bay had the second most yardage in the NFC, and they didn't have a snip New England. If you look this year is not one of the top four. Yardage standing teams scoring teams for the year. The Rams the Rams scored the most points grabbed the most yardage, but. See what the NFL is rewarding fishing Boston not prolific offense because a fishing offense wins games the drama. It's it's all about the drama and entertainment one hundred percent, right. But the rewarded for fiction C, not being prolific. And that's why you see so many. You see other like holding penalties? When you don't think they're all black and the back in block each media such blocking the back about when I Don kickoff. Punt returns, the the the other part is as far as -fensive teams Dallas gave up the second most points in the NFC last year. Both the Chicago gave out the least Baltimore gave up the least in the AFC. It wasn't so much that that they lost. Because they're the defense was great is because their offense with not efficient. They could have been prolific. But they were not. Efficient and God knows what was doing with that. Crazy. Run navy. Army had football in the in the NFL. There you go. Appreciate it. Sean and rocklin next on the fan. Hi, sean. Hey, how you doing great show? Chris earlier still allowed my thunder with this take the ball in the fifteen yard line deal. But I'm a diehard lifelong Kansas candidate sheep, then. And I wanted to throw another option out there. I'm not sure we set or not for the overtime rule. How about if the team that gets the ball scores? A touchdown. They have to go for two if they don't make the to the other team gets the ball. I'm I'm I like, I said diehard life, one ten pitchy. When no GRANDE started. I do ever won. The coin toss was gonna win the game. So I'm just curious on your opinion. Again. I don't Sean I don't like it because I want both teams to have the ball by the way in terms of offense. Or let's put it another way. Terms of scoring the chiefs led the NFL with thirty five points a game. The Rams were second with thirty three points. A game the saints or third with thirty one and a half points a game. And New England was fourth with twenty seven point three points a game. So in terms of points scored per game. And I know that includes defensive points the top four offenses in scoring or the top four teams in points. Scored let's make it. The most accurate we can the top four teams in points. Scored played last weekend. Period. Butch east meadow next on the fan. Hey, Chris, thanks for taking the call. Appreciate especially being a hockey fan. I can't get can't get many people to talk about it in this town. But I know that you you enjoy it. So my question about the Rangers is how much further do you think they'll dismantle this team? And specifically my concerns are Kreider naturally. Hayes and zuccarello I personally would like to see them stay. It's. Besides enjoying watching them play. It's not just about sentiment. It's more about. I think it's what the team needs with all the young players, and I have seen some some flashes of you know, improvement, but consistency obviously with a young team seems to be a problem. So how do you how do you feel about Lundquist thing? I think he's having a good year. I don't mind it. I to be honest with you. I mean, if you if we had this discussion a couple of years ago, where he was struggling I think, you know, I might have been I might have jumped on every I guess my point. I guess my point is this if if you don't think that they are going to be overly competitive in the next two years, you're never going to get more for Lundquist than you're gonna get now. So that the development, that's that's that's my question. And I nobody has a crystal ball and can see I see signs of really, you know, some some flashes of really like you can see the potential greatness. And then other days you just like how come you can't play a full sixty minutes. I, you know, so, but I think having those three guys that I mentioned around. I think helps develop the young talent. I mean, you know, you you can't have like the super young, you know, trying to guide big real young. They I think you need time agreement. I absolutely Butch. I absolutely agree with that. And their questions are. You know, this is a break down to the core here. I mean in other words, this is pretend you had no roster. Now, build one. And start picking off your players build one for twenty twenty one. Let's say Kay since we're in two thousand nineteen now if I'm if I'm. Them now during this break. That's what I'm thinking. Let's build a roster for twenty twenty one. How do we get the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle? That will best complement each other. And if it's including zuccarello and Kreider, then and I would assume it is. But you know. Their challenges. Great. I mean, it's not a small challenge. They're not particularly young. And they have an older goaltender who will never be worth more than he is. Now, there's no point to me. In having Lundquist there anymore. It doesn't serve anybody purpose. So I wouldn't do that. It would be like the jets having Eli manning. You could try to make an argument for Eli manning with the giants. I don't agree with you. But you can try, but you could never make one for Eli manning and the jets because they don't have anything around him. There's no point in keeping that kind of player with that kind of team. And that's the way I feel about Lundquist more of your phone calls coming up on the fan. Hockey fans joined greater Fort Lauderdale for the ultimate pre-game.

"There was a lot of players that needed screen time. Obviously, he wasn't one of them who got it. But I feel like editing would have utilized him because everything you put out that was great. All right. Let's move on to David versus Goliath, lots of big characters. Here. I picked ended up picking three I went with Natalie Christian and Angelina I feel like those ladder to speak for themselves. Christian was just dynamic force of character. And every say what you want to about him as a player as a character. He was just absolute goal, especially from a perspective Angelina, I just have not been so entertained by player in quite some time. With Chris coupled with Christian as well just between sort of the delusion. But the way that she was edited coupled with the right stuff and the jacket stuff and idol stuff and the finale, it was just she's just a fantastic character overall. And she was so confident in herself that like adjust it really made for a really fantastic painting of a narrative overall for this person, Shannon, who did you have from DVD in your top ten in terms of my favorite. I had Christian Davey, obviously, Natalie was in the pre marriage. I would've put in Andolina if probably Juki it out with tall on live TV in terms of the best character of the year because favorite she didn't make my ten just my uncle mansions. But just yet as you said in terms of character like I actually loved absolutely every single thing that he was doing ju just one of the Angelina moments would have been enough. But the fact that you had about ten speak to the amazing character. Yeah. For me. I actually I only had one in my top. Ten and it was Angelina at the number ten spot. I think because in terms of like favorite players, maybe it was just hard to rank from David versus Goliath because I felt like there are more people that were sort of on an even footing Susan's. There wasn't somebody that really really stood out a purple Angelina for me. I just didn't Natalie was a big character. But I think that there was a little bit of oh, you know, she was only in during the pre marriage. So she sort of fell a little. There's rule then also follow those rules too. So that's why you had to drop Natalie out. Jelena's the only one that made the list, but there were a lot if I were to think honorable mention Christian Gabby Davey. Mike, even was a fun character. So there were a lot of people that really were fun. But now Angelina was the only one that cracked my top ten I want to elevate. Mike wipes my mentions. I'm Mike wipes. Danny Fullbrook on Broadway last week. And it was. The way I actually mind reputation actually feel like there are some comparisons to be made Mike white and Sam we're like they're both sort of like under edited social threats, but are also very snarky especially to the camera. I feel like ino- Mike did considerably better in the game than Sam. Did. I feel like from a character perspective, there might be some lines out there. Yes. Mike white with the the wine moments. That was like he great favorite player moment early on because it was him running into the Bush, and then him calling other people idiots and him rolling his eyes while he's got his wine and his hands. Yeah. Maybe he does rethink my top ten, but Mike was definitely an honorable mention where the character. Plus, Mike white is a cat and Sam were cat church. So I think it all it's all just sort of like part of the grand universe..

Gossip Girl Vet Penn Badgley's New Netflix Show Looks Creepy

"Seeing. Panna badgley from gossip girl around doing some rounds. And he's got a new show called you and lifetime like Sunday night. So yeah, it's an interesting show. It starts off like it's going to be sort of a hallmark channel rom com. You know, sweet little drama. Bookstore clerk and hot girl. Meet cute between the child. Okay. And then you find out that the guy is a creep. He's a soccer and it gets really freaky. Pretty fast. And I don't I watched the first episode. And I thought this is interesting and he's really good. And so she I can't think of her name. But. And I don't know where it's going to go with getting renewed for second season. But he's like a scary like wholesome soccer. So and and it's toltar- hits perspective is he he's talking directly to the audience. So it's very different swing than we're used to seeing on lifetime channel. And I think people who like to be scared by you know, realistic situations. The deals with the tech world, right? Doc once you get into people's computers. And so it's definitely for the modern age and the performances are really good again. I don't know if I wanna watch ten hours of it. But I certainly was hypnotized by the first hour, and I'm gonna watch more than all,
