Should You Buy a Photo Printer?

"Printers have evolved over the last few years just like everything else in our industry and there are some pretty interesting options right now. Some of which are quite affordable. So you can get state of the art and not break the bank and i'm gonna cover. I mean the most expensive printer i cover. I believe is eight hundred and ninety nine dollars but most of them are well below that well below that now before we get to the printers themselves. I wanna talk a little bit about die based Printing and pigment based printing. because i'll refer to them when i talk about the different printers. Generally speaking dye based printing is excellent. And it's really good If you like vibrant colors if you print gloss or semi gloss the dye based inks today are just fantastic pigment. Inks if you're someone that likes using your different blacks inks know like you're black and you're gray that kind of thing for gallery type black and white prints Then i think pigment is a good way to go and in fact one of the printers at least one of the parents. I'm going to talk about from cannon. They actually use pigment based Black for the document printing and then they used die based inc all in the same printer for the color print printing thinking that the basing gives them really vibrant photographs really pretty colors but yet that pigment based ink is much better for you know that black that solid chris black document printing so you can get combinations there of to now some folks believe in you know. I think there's data to back this up that pigment based inks they last a little bit longer your prints that could be true to some degree but these technologies are evolving and dye based inks have changed the lottery last few years and i wouldn't decide which printer to go with. Based on that

"Yeah don't yeah. It's like she's like, it's like looking into the sun. It's don't stare too long don't stare too is also really young still. I think just Five, I think she lies about her age though. Sure, they all do but you know, I think she's in her thirties know maybe maybe she looks young. She doesn't look old them know. I I like to Penelope Cruz's Chanel Sheila cool. I mean Chanel Chanel. Yeah, you know who looked really cool and Chanel was at the Grammys Maggie Rogers wearing. Yeah for my 2013 Sienna Chanel water bottle holder. Yeah, Josh big baggy head though. Yeah, love Maggie, but that I do think the Oscars is it's a little more traditional and that's what I like is that most men just wear like a tuxedo and look good, but I'll get it used to be a Real Fashion moment. Like this year was like that. There was some great fashion. Yeah at the Golden Gloves, but at the Oscars it was just like what's exciting here. Maybe maybe their risk adverse, you know, it's the big stage. Yeah, but I mean nothing people are watching so fucking ratings was matter. Why do I care off? Why does anyone care this point it's also like yeah, I mean, I I've always liked award shows for whatever reason and like even pre Twitter. Like I'm always like to watch. Yeah people think I'm a fucking psycho for you know, I grew up like watching all the award shows especially when like the era of like the MTV Awards being so big. Oh my God, those were like that was like the beginning of Summer would always start with like the MTV Movie Awards and that and that so it's just like baked in I don't know. Yeah, but like I just don't like I felt very confused the whole time cuz there's no host. So it was like wage is not even like a real announced no most thing is stupid. And Kevin Hart is trash Kevin Hart is trash so unfunny. They just need like I would have even taken Ellen over. So no host wage. Do you think Ellen secretly low-key problematic? Do you think will Ellen's like a weird Republican? I don't think so. But I think I've just heard like industry gossip is that she's a bit. Of course she has but like yeah, but I mean I don't but that's like that's I'm finding paranoid who I heard was terrible as Mindy Kaling or Kelly. I've heard that awful bitch which makes me so happy cuz she's so bad and everything. She was only good on the office. She was great on the office so bad and everything else and just insufferable as a person. I just haven't taken a real. I tried to watch The Mindy show and kind of got into it for a season then just kind of fell off cuz I was like what is exciting about she's very famous though. She like extreme things really famous, which also interesting cuz like again like what are you in like I don't see you in shit. Yeah took her book, which I read I didn't read the she she did a second book. I didn't read the second book. Oh, yes. She did. I just read this book that I was really excited to read. I think it's think comes out like two weeks off. Because I it's Dan Perez is this guy who was that? He was the editor-in-chief of details like when it was like really cool..

"Like I've seen it before me like what the fuck or like a rainy do this shirt off just like can't do it. And I'm like dude. This is this is like a simple causes are such a cruel mistress and that way cuz like you really don't get into the Rhythm until you've done a bunch of them. So, you know, and you can like get those like little tight movements down. So if I get back into spin, it's always like there's a learning my weirdly like I know it's muscle memory for me really. Wow. This is really embarrassing. I don't want to admit this publicly, but I was in Atlanta of I don't know when I was there as for the holidays maybe and and I went to SoulCycle cuz it's open on Christmas Day and they're like never home. Chris is your children fiftieth class? Oh my God, and I was like, yeah great. Thanks ethics and they're like, we're gonna bring a cupcake. I'm like no, no words were good. We take a picture of right now. I'm good. Okay, can we just talk about there should be a law against taking pictures and workout classes. I think I think that most instructors will scold you for that for not taking the picture off for taking a picture. Like I think if you're like on your phone and berries of your on your phone like the instructors. Oh, yeah, but like after workout classes like there's some in La especially where they're like everyone get together often really gotta take a pic looks good in that and then I'm just like off to the side kind of like rolling out trying to not make eye contact and then I get like roped in cuz I feel like a bitch for saying no or you have to like walk by the whole picture and so then I just in the back, so no really I'm above that. Sorry, show you like why would I know one wants to see that? No one that's called to the world was amazed know and we don't need I didn't know that now..

"I don't know. I think I tried to jump. Well now I dunno I tried to jump off cuz my whole Sprint 5 would be like Sprint for infringement. And then when it's over I'd jump off know you gotta run it down know and then I got to run it down. I just like lost my footing fell on the treadmill and then was just like like spit out onto the ground and then tried to like laugh it off and like pretending everything is fine. I was really hurt like I thought that I had didn't have to go the hospital or anything but Barry's know this is like a berries like knock-off sweat garage. Oh, yeah. Yeah. But like I couldn't I had like me issues? I think it like hurt my shoulder know. I mean that's like a bad like it was bad. And so then I was like, okay, I can't really like go this hard on a treadmill home and it was right when I was like, you know, when reached that like next level of Sprint capability and you're just like hell, it's really the hi I'm chasing. Yeah, like for me I was like, like did a minute at 10 a.m. And I was like sucking hard. It is amazing. You know what let me give you some c'mere. Yeah. There we go. There we go minute and 10 is no cuz that's joke. It's not and then I was taken down a notch by the work out sometimes, you know, that's a nice evening. Yeah saying you're too big you're getting too for your britches, but I think that the thing here and I only do it when I stay in West Hollywood, but the fucking hot Pilates shit wage is so good. It is so fucking hard. It's hard. I like it a lot and it's also just like only hot chicks like it's like hot chicks and James Franco. Yeah, it's dead. Well, James, Franco's it all my work. I see James Franco berries in New York. I see him all the time. Yeah, he's like into Boutique comes the guys that I can't tell if it's like an A vibe or if it's like his team cuz he like what the fuck does he do now? I don't know. He's pretty got stuff, you know in development. Yeah, but he's definitely like, he's a fixture at hot Pilates Hailey Bieber goes that's why I'm going obviously. Yeah to see Haley wage. I mean, it's just a fun. I'd love to see her out in the wild. She is she's really hot like whatever she has done to her face. She's gotten tasteful work. Yeah tasteful could determine Thursday morning with my friends. I just think like as much I'm a Hadid head Bella start a little crazy. "Well for as far as like Athletics, it's Nike only for me. Yeah the gym to go the gym. It's a whole different shoe. But I have worn the easiest way to a workout class and one day I felt kind of dumb cuz I went to this workout class. I'm doing like a StairMaster base class now in that and Jen Atkin was in my workout class and I am wearing like Yeezys and kind of a matching like sports running and I was like, oh my God, she's gonna think that I'm trying to do like a Kardashian thing. I mean, which I kind of and I was about to say, think you're StairMaster workout and not that whole outfit. What's the StairMaster workout called called Buddha? And yeah, it sounds like your bottom. It's a bun and cuz I think that's Brazilian. Yeah, but dead. So it's like a berries but with StairMaster instead of treadmill, so you go to the 4in lift weights and sure yeah, you do eight minutes StairMaster eight minutes floor. Like are you do like six six pack? 8899 it's hard as it sounds hard, but it's good. It's like way better for my joints than running on a treadmill like a treadmill literally destroys me now. The one that would weigh the one that Barry's is fine to me cuz I think it's like a little hurt your hips or anything. I mean my body like a hip. My body's just fucked up. I mean, just feel bad all the time kind of have you done those recovery boots? No. I haven't thought of trying a good is it? Oh my God. They are Game Changer. There's a place in West Hollywood, which are they I think you can do a session you can go on classpass. But or you can also pay off and how long do you sit there? You can do 15 or 30 minutes Cory, it's Heaven you do they go all the way up to like your crotch essentially and then they just feel there and they woke. Impress and they just like press I did them and they will take away any muscle soreness. That sounds amazing. It's amazing. I threw him on the wish list just to see how much are they $500,000? Oh, maybe there's someone out there maybe is recovery. I can't put a price on recovery know Sports recovery is everything, you know the level on performing if I don't recover. It's like what you know, what am I but that's that's the problem. I read all these guys, you know, they kind of cool stuff like that. I mean honestly the fair gun like hyper rush it. Yeah that will change your life to that goes things really work this like stretch lab type of device that I go them with their gun treatment and then you can go get the boots. You could go in a sauna like it's all geared towards. Yeah. There's there's a lot of thinking the recoveries as important as exercise itself. I believe I believe it too. Yeah. I mean, just don't I don't all that stuff is just so prevalent here. Like you can go to a shopping center and do it all for fucking fifty bucks in New York. There's a lot of there's a new place called outer reach that open..

Color combo because it's something with black is like too harsh. Yeah, that is like a true but people do like black with yellow or like black with red and I just think that's a little extreme for me. It's like you're kind of doing like a diesel of type thing love. That was a good I have have this I have three pairs of these in different colors exact same sunglasses with different colored lenses. "Chris black with Adam a doll under the hood on ESPN one thousand and the ESPN app we now talk with Mike Sando from the athletic NFL writer you can follow him on Twitter at Sando NFL Mike it's Chris and Adam tonight how are you and we're gonna trying connects to Mike hopefully here in the next segment here or in the next couple of minutes here a doll you know we're talking about B. U. as I think I we just drop them there so we're talking bout be you with Matt nat you right yeah and when you take a look at this whole philosophy and we'll talk also about the quarterback tears with Mike Sando because he wrote that piece last week on the athletic about it absolutely and especially what you wrote about Mr basically what people around the league had to say about Mr busy but the key here with being you and what Nagy is preaching is this idea that you should embrace personality but when the personality is doing something that is a beneficial for the team that's where you'll get in trouble I think that goes into the the philosophy of the bears this season so basically what you're going is with is where we want to have a a we mentality but I want you to be you as long as being used benefits for the team and a lot of people were making fun I'm making light of the comments that Mr service he made yesterday about how the things that he wants to do to be a better leader might be you know picking up after people do after meeting or cleaning up the locker room and then he's ended it by saying exiting the huddle earlier and with that to me means is like this guy we all laughed at it but ultimately this guy just wants to be a better example for people and if people see him going around the locker room picking up stuff for or you know picking up something in the meeting room or or just being an all around better person then they're going to want to be a better person and he's just trying to be a better leader so by doing that he's being a better leader the better part of that sound bite was when he said I want to I want to have a cleaner huddle and I want to be able to act on a better handle on a more efficient hull and get out of the huddle earlier because what that means is that now you can be in his ear longer looking at the defense and giving him what he sees on the sideline what they see up in the booth what they see on the sidelines can be translated back to to risky he can audible if he needs to they call time out if they need to they can make adjustments if they need to that's the that's the main part just let's say I get it he wants to be clean he likes vacuuming or whatever that's fine I get all but the more important thing is that he wants to have a better huddle because we thought that you will a communication issue and you want that to be better so so here's what got lost in the sauce because it was funny any there was comedy involved in what to be ski sad and the reason it was funny is because think about it you're right Adam what true basically said was on on par exactly what you want your core back to say a fission see in the huddle so we can then I'd look at the defense make a decision and get the offense rolling your right that's what we want from for basically yeah what was funny is he literally gave you the answer of I'm going to clean up in the locker here Stravinsky yesterday I think it could be as simple.

Are the Rockets better? Pressure's on Russ and Harden now

"Last evening you may have heard the rockets made a big pretty big trade in the NBA acquiring former league MVP Russell Westbrook and they have now paired the two highest usage players in the NBA in James harden Russell Westbrook former teammates of course with the thunder shot or no shots this ends well for the rockets I'm going to say surprisingly shot what ends well they have two impactful guys who are now seeing their NBA mortality that they don't make this work they don't have a chance in their careers to win they are going to become more selfless they're going to learn to work together I give Daryl Morey all the credit in the world to get that declining decrepit Chris Paul office roster A. said a push my chips then we're going for it it may work it has no chance of working I don't care what you say you don't change who you are this is a big time no shot Russell Westbrook isn't gonna change who he is the usage is there I also found out that they were full of Russell Westbrook and James are both top six and rebels which I didn't know was a stat that was being kept the Houston Rockets are based around an offense that is what catching shoot Russell Westbrook staying said catching shoot horrible in that and it does it look I love their Maureen unlike his aggression they weren't getting into with Chris Paul in this was probably his only option from what was available from that standpoint so I like what he did but it doesn't mean it's going to work no shot I'm not gonna give a shot or no shock because I'm I'm not really sure you guys at the backs of basketball experts I'm going to defer mind to the great Chris black when I am done here but Miller one thing that I noticed out of all the professional sports and for Danny sentiment in particular I am including the National Hockey League tap you're exactly right I'm a hockey guy it seems like the players NBA are running the leak running the leak no doubt it is this something that is fairly new in the last cabin in years is that what what what and why I guess that's the question why because big because they can't as pax said they have found their voice and they're using their opportunity to put teams together like I don't think you'll ever see Patrick Kane go yeah I want to trade and I'm only gonna play with him now it has happened it I mean it has happened in other sports it has happened in hockey and all that but it just seems like over the long course of last couple the players are sitting there going right now the incident that happened in the NBA finals with the raptor the what raptors player and a minority owner of Golden State right all of a sudden everybody all players lebron James was at the front of the list right talking about that that owner was Emma Miller I forget what is yes it was right and whenever and what up happening he ended up getting fined and suspended on the arts it's that same scenario happens moving forward and it's a player that does something to a fan what is going to be set by lebron James in a players in the league absolutely nothing will be set a great and that's not right that is not right all right Chris I'm deferring to you my man what a bad so I'm gonna shot no shot what do you think with the with the trade with Westbrook and and hard and get back together you can have mine see I I agree with band it's a tough fit with those two on the court the problem is though is Ross is definitely a better player than Chris Paul at this point but I don't know if that makes you stand better team I thought if they just did nothing and ran it back they had a good opportunity to be one of the three or four best teams in the Western Conference the conference is loaded now and by doing nothing in with all the movement that took place in the west I thought but the rockets had was probably good enough to make a run at the conference finals so now the fate itself doesn't really make a whole lot of sense but Russ is a better player than CP three so if you think it's more out of Russ there is a chance they could be better I know I give you both a shot handed no shot that answer but but I thought it was a pick a side saying that we got going nowhere but you know what it doesn't it doesn't I don't know if there is a yes or no answer to this question like I understand it was a bad question by mail or by email will question it pretty clear shot and shot that the heart in west I was in a lot of people hate on Ross so people just want to jump on the shot it's going to end in a horrible horrible fashion but there is an opportunity here for the rockets to still be the best team in the Western Conference could it it sounds like Chris is on the shock site created and more on the shot so I guess it's a no shot because they don't have a chance against the clippers or the kings and sharks that became the clippers or the Lakers and I look at if Klay Thompson does come back I'm still going against the best shooting duo as a better team than the Houston Rockets until they built out on stage Duncan not yeah I can hear your wrong on this play comes back they have your winning it time wrong zero I want to know what goes through your mind when you watch basketball I

"Chris black I'm David Kaplan chair sauces that trolls and we'll be here till at a little after two cross talk with the water would still be show top commies not in but I think Sylvia speaking of our good friend Marc Silverman exit me asking after the first segment dizzy is it go time now for the Chicago Cubs from hearing what you had to say about the Chicago Cubs is a go time now or is this still early for the cubs I never said this early so he's better so be smarter than that don't even poke the bear Sylvie you get the RAF again what we would do is I was that mean what rats what are you giving to the facility you're you're angry today at the cubs not Sylvie I love Sylvie I'm gonna keep you on track today cab but all I'm telling you is I'm just giving people a dose of honesty because you know I get got camper you need to head over to the gym and take a cold shower are professional hitter's but not all seasons Obrist we have a set he's thirty whatever and he wouldn't even play every day stop yourself we have a second baseman knocking the door down a triple a look I would love to watch Robel Garcia do you have any idea Bolon sh Melty what's that that's his name Balon sh Melty do you have any idea who Robel Garcia even is so the guy was playing in Italy because he was released by the Indians so let's just pump the brakes here he strikes out at thirty four point nine percent of the time pump the freakin breaks okay he's never play in the big leagues it's not like he's some hot shot prospect here que bien resort only going to get hotter with the weather we finally have a closer relax I'm just telling you man you're looking through rose colored glasses so we may want to be in that relax mode I'm not I'm not you tell me October starts in March and I'll tell you October isn't going to happen and now just teams plan and and that's why you can create a look critically look at this team right now I make that assessment because the court the staff that you had earlier forty five games there there twenty and twenty five in their last forty five games correct that's a big sample size cap and I agree with your your statement on on the cubs baseball situation right now by the way we've got some Lister some all over the place you see a run is listening from Dublin solid we have translucent in from Malta what a pool well done we had another one that's listed from Costa Rica Brandon sol there you go people listen from all over the place I will get the chance in the second James is in Joliet Hey James it's gonna get very close are you to we're going yeah I definitely will say because our so what's going on I don't know why it is bad for me anyway this is what you've been saying I feel like the base runners definitely issue I think that's one thing the only thing you got a bad cell there James sorry can you guys now we got to okay yeah I was a fan to cover doubly hard to walk right now but I don't know if that is you've been playing yeah I think if they clean up some of their base run into issues that would help a great deal you also get a factor in the fact that if we had a call to start to see that I know if you'd like you can always put it in with if we had a close at the stars season they're probably like in these four women so that's changing the you know the record little bit one thing I will say though I don't think they they may not they may in fact not be a championship team but at the same time outside of the Dodgers there's really no team in the National League that scares me where it's like I can see the cubs beating them in a seven game series and then one of the things you guys did mention was they don't look like the twenty sixteen team or with the twenty sixteen team over rated and I went back and looked at you know the the play also that year I don't think the twenty sixteen team with over rated per se I just think the rest of the league got better like if you go back and look at the team they beat the giants the Dodgers in Cleveland also those teams similar to the curve that year they had really great that you and slightly above average sitting with the team the because I didn't see a team that year where their line up was just like oh my god like they they scared the socks up and now you got a lot of teams like the planet Dodgers they have learned it's where even if you have good pitching you're still going to have some tough night so no yeah say that James man have a good day good week see but all right three one two three three two three seven seven if this from my guy Chris camp got who if you're not following Christopher camp gone twenty you're missing out of your baseball fan at C. K. A. M. K. A. he's the stats research guy at NBC sports Chicago and he's amazing Jason Heyward in June three twenty six letter three seventy nine BP five eighty nine slog with six home runs home runs in three straight games to finish the month his first three games three Homer street three game Homer streak since June of twenty fifteen and I know the contract look terrible in for the first year and a half to two years of the contract it looked really bad but that's where you kind of put in the category of if you're gonna pay someone big money you hope the guy works hard because eventually they may turn it around and that's what you're seeing from Jason Hey were this season and you know what they print nothing but money over at Wrigley ville a record so yeah I see nothing but money so I don't care about contracts just produce and work hard to be a good guy he fits all of that so we'll see how it goes Jessie Rogers will join us I think I think back as you know the one thing cap is there's always money in the banana stand and that's why I agree with you that not only do the cubs print money but they they should be spending it wisely like right like you spend money on a word at the start of the contract you didn't get what you needed to out of him but now you kind of are but you spent on you Darvish Tyler chat would you're not getting what you needed from those two individuals to help this ball could be that great team that everyone thought that you were spending money on I guess the problem is it poorly spent on high priced tickets you know I'm saying like so far what they've spent in free agency it hasn't really turned out well for the front office they have not they made some really really bad decisions and player development has not been good player development has been awful so it's got to get better I'm just being honest it's not being a hater it's being honest Kyle's former is not good enough as a leadoff hitter for a team to win a World Series he's just not well in is it is the problem for you because his numbers if you protect his numbers out for the season he's on pace to hit thirty four home runs on the year he's on pace to have seventy four R. B. I. is it because no one's on in front of him that's the problem he doesn't get on base either he's a back who can hit home runs and that's basically all your bytes he's got some pop in the power alleys but he isn't a very mediocre defender good arm but in terms of leadoff guy combine you got to be better now whatever it with merry field if you can get a guy like what mer feels I can't change anything for this team he would he be a huge upgrade yeah but that's not gonna put them in the fifty seven one category with the Dodgers a huge upgrade might get to the division but not he's a huge job growth he be expensive though Jesse Rogers joins us now here on Capitol but he just he good morning boys how we deal and we're good man so I gotta tell you jazz up once this team there twenty and twenty five the last forty five games that is not a small sample size and I've come to the conclusion if this is what this team is this team cannot win a World Series as presently constructed of this is who they are yeah they're they they they would be underdogs in basically every playoff series you know going forward if the if the playoffs started today that that's the bottom line doesn't mean they can't win a mud flat let's not forget it be it be a top fall there's no doubt but the tough road but they'd be underdogs they're they're not as good in the record indicates that they're not as good as the Dodgers the Braves the after the Yankees obviously and they can get there maybe maybe it's going to have to be internal we always talk about July tragique you might get one guy one guy can't change your whole team I don't believe look at Craig Kimbrel he's pitched one inning for god sakes don't maple says pitched more guys since since he came back up the great Kimberly's bridge to winnings are almost two waiting for the he got knocked out yesterday so you know even a one hitter it can't be just come down to one hitter although I agree with you a leadoff man would help it's got to come from within we always we always think it's going to be solved in July but it really has to be most of the twenty for twenty five guys on the roster and then you you add you add that finishing touches in any case yeah I and I don't think it's any one here you guys are really don't Joe said this Friday and Saturday he's been pretty honest lately it's not any one area one one moment the starting pitching next morning not minutes the defense necklaces there are those on the basis that if the ball plan with a little bit of everything like that in Cincinnati I can't believe they have lost three series to the red that the Reds are god awful but it's still a last place team and their three and six against them that could be the difference between winning the division or not so like I said it's been a little bit of everything and I think we saw that all weekend in Cincinnati Jesse what was callous warmer doing in left field yesterday same thing you've been doing every time Jon Lester starts it seems like it seems to happen every every other Jon Lester start out there I mean there are moments he looks decent out there in another moment he just can't track it and finish the play and all that jazz and we've seen them make some good plays out there but not enough in those are catch a ball balls those are casual balls I mean what is a we've been used him as an example in talking about the fall ball fan interference call he said how do we know bill Berman the the left fielder for the regs going to make that catch we just had our what the elder Mr routine ball no he wasn't throwing before which were brought to the bus on purpose but he was trying to say you know that was no routine ball the the Barton ball yesterday but but on the sea shore birds was a lot closer to a wreath routine ball so I can't tell you what's going on these little things are happening working against them and they are not able to overcome Lester dot org able to overcome the next you know three pitches later whatever it is Suarez hit a ball that that is still traveling I think over the Mississippi River it's it's been incredible that everything everything that can go wrong has gone wrong and they're not able to overcome and I don't think you're always managing great right now I think it's what I said last week he's got to realize he does not have the two thousand sixteen because he does not have that that he's going to have to write some guys I told you I think he's misuse branding can four times just focusing on him he may have done it again yesterday to be honest but we can get into that if you want I it's it's not as deep I don't think Joe was managing purpose cleaning may after the rest of the way and the only Jenner really gonna have to fine tune some moves here in this month and help this team a little bit Jesse if we look at what this team is obviously very lead at catcher their lead at first their elite with Kris Bryant their elite with hobby bias Hey words having a phenomenal bounce back year they're solid in starting pitching solid not spectacular if Hamel's is down but solid I think.

"Listen to me. Okay. Let me finish erupted. The second that I saw a little extra hadn't gone and sent a video to the Texas Tech players in new that I bet the wrong team. Well, and you bet the wrong win the Texas Tech van star playing that the stadium US Bank stadium turned into a club. Yeah. That song came on. It was if you wanna bet with your head you do if you wanna bet with swag, you'll probably Texas. So that's of I'm Chris black. Also, Pat, Mahomes was shown on the lot last night. And he was all about the game. So that was awesome to so blocking dollar here on ESPN one thousand and the ESPN app this morning blocking dollar we are doing the show again for the second consecutive day live from our hotel room, which is awesome because we had to go what all three feet to get to the desk. Do debrincat's the show today. I debated doing the show from the bed. You able there you could we have separate beds. I could do the show laying in my bed watching arsenal advertising and doing the show basically how I do the show. Anyway, the reason I bring that up is because on Friday we were on radio row row Westwood One. We got chance to talk with a lot of different head coaches in the college basketball world and people that came by the. The set in someone who came by who we had a really good conversation with was Minnesota golden gopher head coach PJ flight row the boat. Yeah. So we got chance to talk some college football with PJ Fleck. Here's that air view from Friday during the day. We got chance to talk with the Minnesota head coach. And we start that conversation by talking about the fact that we're here for the final four in basketball, but it's a great opportunity to showcase his college football program on a national level. Absolutely. I mean, every sport team in the state of Minnesota has Minnesota before it, right? And we're all one this is what unique about where we have our university where three miles from the twin city area from Minneapolis. You've got our state capital. Five miles southeast of us. You've got all the resources of eighteen fortune five hundred companies right around you sixty thousand person big ten campus. And there's always something to do. I mean the Super Bowl here last this past year. Final fours here thinking about going to school right in that area where you can just walk to it. Pretty special. So there's a lot of resources around here. It's a phenomenal place to live phenomenal place to go to school. And and definitely the head football. Coach for sure how'd you think your team did last season? I think we're developing growing, you know, we're the youngest team in America. We started big ten play and four just like we did at western Michigan. We're very good in your two. And then all of a sudden, boom, hit we beat Indiana, basically on one of the last second place, and that that that that hit that was the Martha kind of turned around and we started eight freshman on offense. And that's not a good formula to have when you're in the big ten play. You wanna play with experienced guys, but we couldn't and we beat Purdue and beat them pretty good. And then we lose northwestern at home. And then we'd go beat Wisconsin for the first time in fifteen years straight and first time in twenty seven years at camp Randall, and then all of a sudden we go win our game by the largest margin of victory in program history, which is not something you're going to get a reward for or trophy four. But it's something that's really big in our program that you win the last four out of five and do something really special and that springboard June of this year, which now are the second youngest team in the country. So we moved up one slot. Basically eighty percent of our team or still freshmen sophomores, but we're. Very talented recruiting going, very, well, especially in the state of Illinois. That's where I'm from and Chicago's been really good to us as well. As the entire state PJ flack head coach Minnesota joins us here on ESPN one thousand. I'm Chris black with Madala. Okay. So you mentioned the Wisconsin win the Georgia Tech.

MLB live stream 2019: how to watch today's baseball from anywhere

"Is baseball actually doing something. Good for young people. Was it the three hour and forty seven minute cubs game yesterday. We'll get to that Chris black dollar here on ESPN one thousand and the ESPN app. Did you notice on Twitter at MLB? So the official Twitter handle for major league baseball. They've been tweeting each and every day. We have more live at bats in today's options are from the mentions who do you want to see? And then they list four players that you can vote on. And what it is is throughout the day whoever wins and yesterday, the winner was havi buyers course, so each and every time he came up to bat MLB streamed live on Twitter havi buyers and his at bats right there in the time line right there for the consumer right there for the young person to observe and to witness and watch someone who's very exciting in the game of baseball the day before it was Mike trout the day before that opening day. It was Bryce Harper. So each and every day this season. And if you go to Twitter handle you can vote on who the in game at bats will be streamed throughout the day. And I saw this like this is fantastic. This is exactly the type of thing. Baseball needs to do to garner. The attention from young people. Because it's not this conversation of we have to change the game. Baseball's a fine game. It's the overall concept that baseball doesn't know how to grasp the attention of the young person, and this is a start because over the years the reason the NFL and the NBA has succeeded with young people is because of the ability to give the product to the consumer and the easiest way possible. The NBA will not remove any highlight that Adam that Felix that any person listening puts out on their own social media platform to share with their friends to let them know. I'm watching this Brooklyn nets game and diangelo Russel is going off. Here's a highlight tweet. But if you used to do that with baseball baseball would come in and remove your video because it's against their policy for video sharing which is a problem because then young people are not seeing in their feeds and their timelines, the exciting things are taking place throughout the night throughout the day in major league baseball, you could basically watch every Zayn. Williamson highlight seconds after it happened in your timeline seconds. Hundreds of thousands of people sharing retweeting posting videos of Zion. Williamson doing something great. And now, everyone has a social awareness of it. This is great for major league baseball that. Now, they are going to share and put out there right there. I I don't have to sign up for a package. I don't have to have a special cable provider. I don't have to have a major league baseball season pass. I don't have to have any of this. They're just going to give me the best players in baseball each and every day a look in throughout the game. So I don't have to do anything extra. Plus, I don't have to sit through the four hour baseball game. And wait for the Mike trout the Bryce Harper. Hobby by is to do something amazing. I can see it right there in the feed which I thought was pretty cool because back to last night's cubs game. The first ten Rangers the face their former teammate didn't put the ball in play as six walked enforced. Struck out. According to the allies sports bureau. That's the most hitters not to put a ball in play to start a game in franchise history last night's game. Both the cubs and the White Sox. I watch a lot of the White Sox game very slow very boring. And that's what the game has come to because of the three outcomes strikeout walk or homerun. And that's what baseball is. And that's why when you have the conversation of what a lot of people were talking about baseball season started Jeff passan wrote about it. Others kurtenbach in the Mercury News wrote about it that you get a hit once every nine minutes in baseball, and that is slowly killing the sport. Because no action is actually taking place on the field. I get it. Their strategy be between the pitcher and and the battery and watching all those foul offs, and the pictures and all that stuff that's part of the game. But there's no action on the actual field. And I think it's good that baseball came out and props to them that they're trying to target young people by giving them the product right there in your feet. Live streaming hobby buyers every about yesterday. Yeah. I mean, you're not going to change the game itself. So you try to change what you can as far as interaction goes. Right. People come flying in with. We gotta move the mound. We need to do this. Now, we need to play seven innings. Now, we need we need to have all these different rules. That's not what young people are saying young people are not saying changed the game of baseball. Just it was a better sport to watch when it was played differently. That's the problem is that these strategy from all of these organizations has changed so dramatically that you get three outcomes. And the three outcomes are not that exciting because two of them are guys just standing around doing nothing. Well, I mean, look you can't teams for trying to win games. Because the way that's the way you wouldn't go. But, but that's why it's it's something that is happening moving forward that no one can really stop. Because what are you gonna go to all the teams and say you can't do that anymore? When a guy is fouling off pitches. Just trying to walk. No you have to put the ball in play. That's not gonna work, and what are the answers that. I've always said is. Well, the reason you know, basketball is more popular in these. These stars are more marketable in the NFL is because. You see action from these guys all the time. Russell Westbrook is on the court all of the time. He's for the majority of the game. Lebron James is on the court for a majority of the game. If I wanna watch Bryce Harper havi buyers or whoever it is they're up four times in three hours in what yesterday was along with the cubs game, three hours and forty seven minutes for four at bats. Okay. But there's no way you're not going to change that you're not going to say, you're only batting four guys. And that's going to be you know, that's gonna be your your batting order guys over and over again. So you're not going to do that. But finding ways to put that like the MLB did putting that on social media for free is a way around that the way you can put that out there. So more people can see your stars nationally and not just regionally because that's the other problem with baseball is it's such a regional sport. Is we everybody I just named two guys that I named a bull that I want to see on the court all the time. I made Russell Westbrook and LeBron James. Yeah. Now, but you can watch. Lebron all you want. I know like those games are on national TV all the time. And you know, the regionalized thing like, that's where you get the guy on the other side of the conversation who wants to do the smarty pants deal and tell you that the TV ratings are fantastic. Locally locally. Yeah. Of course. Yeah. We understand that. So here, here's the comeback toback guy. Right. Okay. Tv ratings are great locally. Yeah. How about the White Sox? Await. Well, they've I mean, the Qods ratings are fantastic. No. But we have two teams in the city and one gets completely ignored is anyone watching the White Sox. That guy. Oh, okay. That one guy on the street. But the point is you got two teams here and one of them struggles big time with TV ratings the other crushes it. Okay. So take that into consideration. When you give the regionalized TV ratings are up deal. Yeah. We get it. Boston Red Sox fans. Love the Red Sox. We get the Yankee fans loved the Yankees all those hot Marlins fans who are just waiting away. No, no one's watching the Marlins. See like, that's the thing with baseball. Is you can always come back with like, okay? We'll look at the World Series ratings. Those dropped every NFL game basically beats World Series games now in the ratings. If you want to do the ratings conversation. Yeah. So like, and that's where I it's this whole conversation now. Well, putting the live at bats in the stream on your Twitter feed help I don't know. Maybe he knows I think it's smart. I think it's spun it can't hurt it has nothing to do with actually changing the game. It's just promoting the stars and promoting the brand which I. Is a smart thing for baseball. The do. I think it's a really smart thing for baseball because you have to do all these little things the kind kind of stop what's taking place from taking place, right? Like because changing the game. I think is is not realistic. And the way I look at it. Right. We're not gonna talk politics here. But I think a good analogy would be the way people look at global warming. There's information out there. There's facts that are out there. We understand what's taking place to the globe right now to the world. And what our future is likely to be right? Yeah. We understand what's happening, right. It's the same with baseball. It's like death by a thousand cuts, right? Like, we see what's happening the writings on the wall. But what can we really do? Are we gonna stop driving our cars the rally like the like people talk about global warming? But we all drive everywhere. Anyway. So what are we really doing? Yeah. It's like we can't really change the game of baseball because it's baseball. But what are we doing to really the earth many years old? The average baseball fan is fifty seven years old, and it's only getting older and older ten years ago. The average baseball fan was forty seven years old get it like the getting it's not getting any.

What North Carolina's sweep of Duke really means

"Bid the ACC game yesterday the Duke North Carolina game. There was an interesting stat. Interesting to me, at least that I gave on Friday with Chris black, and it was that North Carolina had played Duke eight times under ROY Williams in the final game of the regular season with first place in the ACC at stake for North Carolina. Either outright first place or a share now Virginia one yesterday over Louisville. So North Carolina needed a win to get a share a first place in the ACC now in those eight. Times in North Carolina play Duke in the final game of the regular season. Trying to get first place in the ACC tarheels were eight no with games in five zero seven zero eight oh nine eleven twelve sixteen and seventeen. Now, they're nine and go after North Carolina get seventy nine to seventy win over Duke yesterday the blue devils again without Zion. Williamson and Duke struggling shooting from three, and that's why a lot of the experts are not picking Duke to win the NC double A tournament. They were eight of thirty two from three last night. Now, it'll be a little bit different. When I Williamson is back RJ Barrett with twenty six points last night. Cam reddish added twenty three points the tar heels share the ACC regular season title with Virginia's. I mentioned Virginia had a win earlier the evening against Louisville. Cody white, the freshman out of North Carolina. He was all kinds of fun to watch. He had twenty one points Zion. Williamson. Oh did practice while the other day John was out with Waddle and Silvy show on Friday, if you get a chance go back and listen to that the podcast at ESPN, Chicago dot com. You can listen to the podcast of the shows. Zion. Williams had a good practice. Some people thought he might have played last night. But after the game it appeared coach K said Williamson we'll be ready for Thursday's ACC tournament which gets underway. So it's going to be all kinds of fun to watch and see how Virginia North Carolina Duke doing the upcoming ACC

Bears will release kicker Cody Parkey at the start of the new league year

"Let's talk about the Chicago Bears. They are going to release Cody parkey at the start of the new league year sources confirmed ESPN today. Sources are we are we surprised I mean, I don't think this is a surprising move. I think I think that the the timing of it the way that it just kind of came out of the blue from Ian Rapoport tweeting it out confirmed by Adam Schefter. So now, it's basically official until they do it. The league year starts in the middle of March. That's when the the free. Agency, period begins teams can sign players teams can trade players and teams can release players. And one of those players will be Cody parkey, it's going to cost the bears on the dead cap. Five point five point one five point one almost five point two million dollars. So they're going to basically have to pay to kickers next year. You're going to have to pay Cody parkey to go away. And then you're gonna have to pay whoever ends up being the bears kicker whether that's someone that they draft hopefully, not or someone that they sign whether it's veteran, whether it's an undrafted free agent, weather, whoever it is they're going to have to pay to kickers the article on ESPN dot com says parking miss eight field goals, including a forty three yard kick. That would have beaten the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the playoffs. We know that with his first season with the bears the bears signed parking for a four year four year deal including nine million dollars guaranteed last March bears coach Matt Nagy express disapproval with park Parke's decision to appear on the today show five days after missing his final attempt after. Filadelfia? The NFL network was first to report that parkey will be released from the Chicago Bears. So that's dot com and Abdali, you're right. Like it's not a surprise as a bears fan. I think we all saw this coming and you're right. They're going to have to pay to kickers again not much of a surprise because we all saw this coming the thing that I want to see is allow someone to win this job this summer, right? Undrafted rookie guys who are out there on the street right now have a kicking competition this summer in training camp allowed the guy to win that competition and that will be your kicker heading into the season. I don't want to spend any more big dollars on a kicker now. That's just my philosophy. I'm Chris black. And that's what I do if I'm running a football team. I don't spend on kickers. That's just why do I also don't draft running backs in the first round. And that's how I run my organization, and I continued drafting quarterbacks until I find the guy that's how I would run things. So I get it that Ryan pace has. Messed up. I'm glad that Ryan that Cody parkey will be gone, but let's not mess up again and pay big time for a kicker whose unnecessary. Let's just find someone who can get the job done probably at the league minimum. And let's go on our merry way. Because in all reality. I know what a lot bears fans are going to tell us is the reason they didn't win the Super Bowl this year. Was Cody parkey. And I think that that's not correct. I think the reason you lost that eagles game is because that kick did not go through. But you also had opportunities where you could win the football game. And not put it in your kickers. Put you see what I'm saying? So the bears have many opportunities going forward to be a very good football team. And I think overspending on a kicker after this mess up by Ryan pace in in signing, Cody parking in the first place. Let's not compound this issue. Let's just find the guy in training camp. And let's go forward as bears fans. Yeah. I think the reason that you lost that game is because Cody parkey had to make three. Kicks to set up that fourth kick. Right. And then Mitchell Trubisky didn't get his blank together until the second half of the game. And then drove them down the field in what should have been a game winning drive. And then ultimately you the team's effort was placed on Cody parkey. I'm not gonna sit here and let you slander Mitch Trubisky tonight Abdala the defense also had an opportunity to stop. Yeah. Did who is not a outstanding quarterback zone? Right. Like the bears defense. The best defense in the league could have shown up in the fourth quarter in stop the eagles. Offense, thus negating the necessity of Cody parkey to even have to make a kick out the end opportunities to beat the eagles in that football. Here's a will. Appease the fan base. You've already done the first thing you've cut Cody parkey, check, right. The next thing is not don't answer to the cries of the fans and say go sign Robbie gold Ella. Rodney gulp. Ravi builds. Great kicker. Great kicker. Wasn't a good kicker when he was cut by the bears. But ultimately said that's what he needed to get back. So don't call up and say, well, he was he he's being great. They would've won. No, they wouldn't have if they wouldn't have ever if they would cut him. It's a cutting him for him to go back and figure out a new to readjust his kicking to figure out a way to get right again. And he did. And now he's good kicker again. He's also gonna be expensive. So don't spend that money. Don't spend an extra five million dollars that extra nine. Dollars or whatever signing Ravi gold. Go find next Ravi gold. Spend the minimum like you said don't draft either. No don't be drafting kickers. We're not drafted running backs in the first round. Have a whole lot of traffic in this strap. We shouldn't be you shouldn't go out and try to draft a kicker because you have to address other issues on this team. And that's going to be done with those draft picks you find the undrafted free agent. You hold tryouts. You do whatever you do make it a Disney movie. I don't care. Find a kicker and find a way because you don't will. Appease the fan base ultimately

"Miller. Chris black ADEMA Dalla with you tonight in his stead. And we were discussing the fact that the bulls have their second Jim Boylan as head coach of this one's B O Y L E. Not different spelling L A N. Also, look completely different. Yes. True. Correct. So Jim Boylan the new bulls in term, oh, not so fast. Not in term head coach John Paxson address this today and was asked if Jim Boylan is actually the long-term head coach the bulls. Yeah, we want him to be our head coach next season. You know, every time you enter into a coaching search, or whatever you wanna call you hire someone you expect it to to be long lasting, and you work together towards those ends. And so we we Jim is going to be our coach. He's he's he's we think he's got the intangibles to be a really good coach in this league. And he sat in that seat next to the head coach is for a long time. He has a philosophy has a belief system. And who he is. And what what he wants to play. We've talked about it. And like I said before we're going to give him every opportunity to succeed. Just like they gave all the other coaches every opportunity to succeed. Yeah. That's a fair. Critique you have their Jeff. And we'll definitely talk bulls basketball coming up here. And it's it's interesting the timing of this. Because as you just said giving a coach everything he needs to succeed. Finally, Fred Hoiberg was gang players back healthy. And that's when he gets the can is once while remarketing comes back for one game. And then he's fired. We'll let Johnny Paxton explain some more. That's and also let him weigh in on. Why gar Forman is still here? If Fred Hoiberg was his guy. He is he'll explain next right here. I'm ESPN one thousand. Getting.

Jerry Jones says an 18-game NFL season would be better for players' health

"Of. Previously we were talking about the preseason and maybe cutting that down and changing and adding games of the regular season in the NFL because Jerry Jones talked about that earlier today on a radio station in. Dallas I'm not for. That I think adding to the regular season stupid if anything add to the, playoffs but the regular. Seasons. Perfect the way it. Is I have been. Since We are talking college football along with the NFL tonight the constable has, no preseason right they. Kind. Of they have their. Scrimmages against each other Half. The team plays the other. Half by the ones that kind of stuff right so I have, a there's a there's an origins podcast out there it's called the origins podcast they've been going into a deep dive into what makes Alabama, successful and what makes Nick Sabin in his prospects process. Successful interviews with bear Jones and Greg McElroy and saving himself and all this and Alabama. The ones practice against the ones in pads every day. Now I know you can't, do? That in the NFL because of labor laws or whatever What are. You, frowning upon labor laws I'm just saying it's your job to your job every day I'm just saying collective bargaining agreement whatever do your job So In, college they wear pads and practice top guys against top. Guys every single day, go. Preseason we're ready to roll every week is a playoff week at you can't tell me that if Alabama loses to Louisville on Saturday night that their season's over it's almost, over they might still make the. Playoffs but if how about, this if Washington loses to, Auburn Saturday, afternoon Washington season is, over they will not make the. Playoff, yeah I I can guarantee that that's for. Sure. Okay surgery for some teams every week is. Apply that's what make college. Football. Great but my point is that they don't have, preseason they make it work so you don't just. Need you don't need to just substitute games with meaningful. Games don't add to the regular season in the. NFL there's no need for. It you could take away two preseason. Games would you as a season ticket holder pay the difference if they just got rid of two games and they added like five bucks to each because now you're just throwing it down the. Drain you're not even attending these. Games you're Not going to the preseason so if the. Regular season games are a little bit more expensive but. You didn't have to coding co pay for the. Preseason that's fine I think. That's a fair trade would you even. Notice it if the I mean obviously you'd notice if they added ten bucks each ticket but if that offset the overall cost is the same what does it matter it doesn't you don't go. To the games anyway it doesn't. Matter So what difference? Does it. Make I agree but the owners would. Never agree upon All the other things those,

"Dot com foregin last night with hoodie and chris black and he joins carbon in your now to recap the two thousand eighteen nba draft picks the balls in the first round junior and chandler hutchison not a surprise with either one nick joins us to break it all down on espn thousand and espn chicago dot com happy friday everybody how are you doing well last night we went about is expected and trae single about his experience specifically with the bulls i mean there were names we heard all along i i don't know much about chandler hodgkinson let's face it i watched boise state football i've never seen boise state i've never seen in the last five years the broncos play any basketball whatsoever didn't even know they had a broker with carter i think everybody thinks he'll be a good player i can't find too many people that think he'll be a great player but if he's al horford look if he makes five all star games you'll probably be happy with that when it's all said and done it was it was a very bulls sort of night where it was kinda save guys that probably won't bust out at least carter won't i don't think yeah mean if i were to use the word to describe it i would say predictable but in this case i i don't think that's a bad thing for the bulls i believe that carter is going to be better than a lot of people think but the again this is all perception to reality and this is what the bulls have been dealing with for several years the perception was they were going to tank all season and get one of these game changing talents up top it didn't happen they want to many games and then they slid out of that six spot during the lottery and so now you're getting this guy who i really believe is going to be a better player but people wanted a superstar in let me caution everybody the day after the draft because everybody gets so up on who's going to be this to that nobody knows for sure no one so you can't evaluate all this stuff for a while you gotta let it play out and see what happens but i mean it's like you know i i was thinking back to a few years ago there were so many people within the city somebody bulls fans who wanted doug mcdermott doug mcdermott and they make the move and everybody was on board with it to garp packed everybody was on board with that one and that was an awful move how close to maybe doing a deal i mean we know that they offered seven and twenty two to memphis that wasn't enough from memphis at at one point it sounded like you know okay you gotta take parsons money the bulls didn't want to go there and i can't say i blame them with that extra year on parsons deal fifty million dollars left for a guy that can't play anymore that's absurd was there a counter like did memphis say okay give us a future i in the bulls still balked at that i don't believe for memphis there was that big of a counter car because they wanted to get out from underneath that deal and i don't think anything ever got to to close in part because the bulls don't like giving up those first round picks historically and and the other thing is look at the rest of the roster this is a roster they're really banking on marketing and you heard marketing and same a ton from darn packs after everything finished off last night but nobody knows for sure how he's going to be and then it's a question mark levin it's a question mark with done bobby portis is in line for a major extension either before this coming season or or after the season plays out as a restricted free agent and then the rest of the group is kind of like so there there weren't a lot of assets in so many years with the bulls they get criticized for sitting on their assets sylvie favorite in this case they they just don't have any right now what i thought was fascinating no from a broader standpoint and anybody who stayed up late with hoodie chris and i last night and listening to garner packs where the answers guys in regards to several topics notably to me when we asked we asked tax about zach levine zach levine a year ago tonight was the centerpiece or year ago at the same time was the centerpiece that jimmy deal and when.

"European players and their gain he's very cognizant of that of those players and i found that they're rooting for him as well they want him to succeed in the nba to sort of continue that path cleary chris black with abdallah let me ask you this i've heard the bulls have done a lot of homework on him and that if they got into the top three that was like the guy that they wanted this is going back for a couple of years now they've been they've had their eye on don cinch for a couple of years now look get you into that top three now well and that's the thing that we have to kind of watch here because today and espn dot com has put out there on espn dot com you have the headline phoenix suns general manager ryan mcdonagh says he's open to relinquishing the prize place of the nba draft captured seat for the number one pick for the right return so you know sons gm says options for number one pick include trade for mba star the bozon have that right so like you probably can't get up to one.

"Purdue as we talked to chris black here on espn espn app because we talked about the nba playoffs you know something tells me chris that very very likely that houston golden state that might be that might be better than the finals matchup with we'll see i think that this is exactly what we're looking for a possible seven game series between golden state and houston absolutely and also i think it's great for nba fans that both of these teams are healthy basically heading into this matchup because not only have we waited all season long for this but now when we get to teams into the spot where we all waited for it now both teams are basically ready to go i have some questions about harden he's looked a little slow the last couple of games in the last series against the jazz i don't know what that's all about but i think for the most part the rockets ready to go they have their eyes set on the warriors all season long more he's talked about it they built this team to beat golden state and i think the thing that's great about someone watching the series or like paying attention to the back and forth is that the warriors know that they've been talking about them all year and they have bigger fish to fry and dream on said that in the post game last night but they also want to prove to everyone that they'll just beat you no matter what and i think like tomorrow night game one the rockets are the face favorite in that game i imagine the warriors coming out in the first half especially in just trying to run the rockets into the ground now whether or not the rockets can withstand that initial wave from from golden state and if they go with the hampton five lineup with igwe dollars starting and and going small it'll be interesting to see how dantonio you can kind of switch in and go against that and how he uses capella against the warriors going small i don't see steve kerr playing many of his bigs too much in this series because they'll have the advantage if they continue to go all the way they have last year in the finals and like they did against the pelicans in the last series if you're always busy like i am and.
