"<Silence> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> When it comes to <Speech_Male> when it comes to <Speech_Telephony_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> race is always <Speech_Telephony_Male> live will be <Speech_Telephony_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> how you define someone <Speech_Telephony_Male> who doesn't <Speech_Telephony_Male> like you because you're race. <Speech_Telephony_Male> Now as <Speech_Telephony_Male> race of definitive <Speech_Telephony_Male> word, no, not <Speech_Telephony_Male> in my opinion because <Speech_Telephony_Male> black ain't a <Speech_Telephony_Male> thing. Why didn't <Speech_Telephony_Male> they <Speech_Telephony_Male> 7 different races <Speech_Telephony_Male> in America and you got 33 <Speech_Telephony_Male> in Brazil or <Speech_Telephony_Male> all that possible world <Speech_Telephony_Male> people identified <Speech_Telephony_Male> race completely differently. <Speech_Telephony_Male> It's something <Speech_Telephony_Male> that's not <Speech_Telephony_Male> standardized <Speech_Telephony_Male> and it's, but <Speech_Telephony_Male> it's still <Speech_Telephony_Male> commercialized <Speech_Telephony_Male> that makes sense. We <Speech_Telephony_Male> buy into it, but <Speech_Telephony_Male> we don't really define <Speech_Telephony_Male> it educationally. <Speech_Telephony_Male> So there's no getting rid <Speech_Telephony_Male> of because you can't <Speech_Telephony_Male> destroy a word <Speech_Telephony_Male> words only get added to <Speech_Telephony_Male> the addition that we're taking <Speech_Telephony_Male> out. And <Speech_Telephony_Male> you can't <Speech_Telephony_Male> really define it <Speech_Telephony_Male> because no one wants to sit <Speech_Telephony_Male> down and <Speech_Telephony_Male> be like, oh <Speech_Telephony_Male> you're like .779 <Speech_Telephony_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> like Hector digit <Speech_Telephony_Male> color <Speech_Telephony_Male> your skin <Speech_Telephony_Male> like no one's doing that. <Speech_Telephony_Male> So it <Speech_Telephony_Male> doesn't make sense to have, <Speech_Telephony_Male> but at the same <Speech_Telephony_Male> time it's not fully <Speech_Telephony_Male> completed either because if you've <Speech_Telephony_Male> got to judge somebody by the <Speech_Telephony_Male> color of their skin, <Speech_Telephony_Male> you might as well <Speech_Telephony_Male> document like the actual <Speech_Telephony_Male> color and <Speech_Telephony_Male> then call it something <Speech_Telephony_Male> like <Speech_Telephony_Male> whatever. But <Speech_Telephony_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> it's in a weird limbo in <Speech_Telephony_Male> my opinion. <SpeakerChange> Yeah. <Speech_Telephony_Male> Dave, <Speech_Male> thanks so much for calling in. <Speech_Male> I appreciate it and <Speech_Male> I agree with you. I think you made <Speech_Male> a really, really interesting <Speech_Male> point of <Speech_Male> saying that it is <Speech_Male> commercialized and it's <Speech_Male> not actualized <Speech_Male> because there's <Speech_Male> no such thing as a race <Speech_Male> we all mixed <Speech_Male> up with something. <Speech_Male> Is it <Speech_Male> Jamie or jame? <Silence> <Speech_Male> Welcome to the offset <SpeakerChange> of the show. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> Jamie, <Speech_Male> okay, all right. <Speech_Male> Okay. <Speech_Male> If you think about <Speech_Telephony_Male> where the race come <Speech_Telephony_Male> from, it's broken <Speech_Telephony_Male> down in the Bible. <Speech_Telephony_Male> Very, very simply. <Silence> The <Speech_Telephony_Male> flood. <Speech_Telephony_Male> There was one family <Speech_Telephony_Male> left on earth, <Silence> they had <Speech_Telephony_Male> to do what? <Speech_Telephony_Male> Inbreed. <Silence> <Speech_Telephony_Male> Over time, dominant <Speech_Telephony_Male> recessive genes <Speech_Telephony_Male> do fall away. <Speech_Telephony_Male> So the race <Speech_Telephony_Male> is what it is. <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> I love you, <Speech_Male> Jamie, but <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> the show has ended. <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> I love you. <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> Call back tomorrow. Just want to give that fun fact out for you. I've got a couple people calling in. So I'll get to some callers, 844-900-7243 a four four nonzero zero 7 two four three. Let's go with Joe from Illinois. Welcome to the off state show. I believe that the game of football has become too woke. These halftime shows are terrible. I mean, we're sitting here with our family watching them. I mean, Shakira and J.Lo are like, you know, it was like an as fast, you know? A couple of years back. You know, it's supposed to be an American tradition. And I've been to the Hall of Fame. And it's the most amazing thing you could ever see. I love the game of football. You know, but it's got to get to the point where it's a family based thing again, you know? And I played park district ball and my brothers played a high school ball and all that. My God, you know? Can't we bring some sanity back to this? I don't know. You know? Yeah. Yeah, not grooves with thousands of people. I got to go to break real quick, but I agree with you a 1000%. I want to continue the conversation. I want to tell you guys about save the stories. You know, I always talk about being pro life and supporting women because it's not enough to say you shouldn't have an abortion. How do we support women that are defined themselves in that situation? Because we're not perfect. And man, you're the one create these women in these situations where they have to go and make a crucial decision about giving life. But save the storks is really an organization, not a proper organization that gives women opportunity to flourish

I'm not giving people excuses, but I would like to know what the conflict was with that police officer, DeMarcus, and Tyree Nichols. Was it a level of disrespect that it occurred? You know, you dating some dude, baby mama, a girlfriend, and you up in Europe in his face, like, look, look what I got. I got your girl, what's up? You challenged in the man. You talking trash to the man, 'cause you think he ain't gonna do nothing to you. I would wonder if that's the situation or is there something bigger? I want to talk about fetterman necks and then I'm gonna talk about James O'Keefe that project veritas because I think that's a pretty significant story. So before I go to the break, I'm gonna tell you guys about one of my favorite supplements that I have taken and that have worked well for me and other people that I know and that it's relief factor. If you are looking for searching for depending upon a supplement that can help your body fight information and help you get back on track and be able to have the, I want to say vivacious, I don't know if that's the proper term. But if you want to have the best quality life that you can when it comes to physical activity, you want to give relief factor and try. It's very simple. You pop the bag open, you swallow the pills with some water, and you begin to feel better over time. And I don't know if you might be the person that the first time you take really factor the first day, the first 30 minutes, you feel something. For me, it took me, you know, by taking it about a week and a week and a half, and I began to feel a tremendous difference. So I'd say get started with the three week quick starter. That's comfortable. You could take it, you'll see it work for you. Go to really factor dot com or call the number 804 relief.

Also, of course, two African American quarterbacks starting against each other in the Super Bowl for the first time fittingly. February 12th is Abe Lincoln's birthday. Here we go with the highlights and. Abraham Lincoln's birthday. Now you know that some people that believe Abe Lincoln was the greatest president and that Abe Lincoln was responsible for freeing black slaves. And it would be fitting, right? I mean, if they want to make a big deal out of two quarterbacks that are American of African descent on Abe Lincoln's birthday, I would argue that he was one of the biggest champions for free in black people. But you know the trolls amongst us can not accept that. Because this needs to be a moment where only black people have only black people. And you add a white person into the equation in that a man. And then he going crazy. And now they hate the world. I just wished that we could get along. And get over this race stuff. Now, I know that color exists race exists exist. But at every front, in our country, we should be trying to evade racial differences as much as we can.

Why Do We Need a Black National Anthem?
"I thought that the Rihanna performance, I thought that she did a good job at her performance. I don't prefer a woman grinding and rubbing it and doing all of those crazy stuff. But as an art as a craft, I think there was some tremendous coordination. And I think that Rihanna historically have had some really good songs that people absolutely love. And all the Christians out there saying, you know what I mean? And they at home while they watching the game they jam it to Rihanna. But that church, they bash and Rihanna. I'll say overall, I just wish that we had better more wholesome performances, you know, but you grown, you could cover you, you know, you know anything to get nasty when you see Rihanna, you see all these other people, just take your kids out the room, they can't watch the halftime show. Don't blame the NFL. Your parenting is what's going to prevent your kids from watching that crazy stuff that you know they're going to do. I thought that the Super Bowl went well. But there were two separate performances that occurred and I really wish that they wouldn't do it again. And I know that they're not going to not do it again. But to me, it's racist. Because if you do the national anthem and you say, okay, in conjunction, or before the national anthem, I'm going to do the black anthem, then what about the Mexican anthem? What about the Samoan anthem? What about, what about other anthems? That other people of other cultures want to present. Oh, you're just a black people special. Also, okay, okay. So black people get their own anthem, but no other culture get their own anthem. Everybody shares a national anthem. But black people get a special one. Is it because there's more black people disproportionately represented in the NFL? Is that what you're saying?

Sunny Hostin Discovers Black Quarterbacks
"Let me get back to the brain dead amongst us from the view, sunny hostin, and I want to actually play that clip because we have the clip now available. I want to play the clip of what she actually said. So you don't think I made it up. Roll the clip from sunny hostin. The only thing that would have made it better for me is, you know, finally we know that black quarterbacks can lead teams. And our smart enough to lead team. I would like to see I always knew that. We knew that. We knew that. But you know, it takes people a minute to catch up. How about some black owners? Some black owners. Cheryl Lee Ralph brought us to church with lift every voice and sing. I felt like I was watching Wakanda, actually. I was just like, this is amazing. But we still need more black owners. Well, first of all, Wakanda's not even a real place. And second of all, what does a black owner have to do with the team's success? Does it somehow make the team better because the person is black? You know, it's like me saying we need black we need more white defensive bags. So we could say that white people can run a defense. Shut up, woman. Also, the fact that we now know that black people can run a team, I just named y'all these quarterbacks. I mean, they say, we now know that black people can run a team because two people of African descent are in the Super Bowl. I mean, God, dang, they forgot about Russell Wilson. They forgot all about Russell whisky going to the going to the Super Bowl. I think Russell Wilson went to the Super Bowl a few times and probably one of the most winning his quarterbacks of his time. I mean, we can go down the list Cam Newton went to the Super Bowl as well. Young guy, unorthodox quarterback, because he was the part of the biggest quarterback I've ever seen. They can run. I mean, we can go down a list. You know, Colin Kaepernick sucked even though that's the person that they beloved. And there are so many other great quarterbacks that have played. And we talk about college football. I mean, there's a plethora of great quarterbacks that play in college football. The kid who just won the husband trophy. I think he's biracial. Caleb Williams, that kid is that kid is literally the only other person other than Patrick Mahomes that can gun that thing like that. But with the funny thing is in the spirit of saying we need black quarterbacks and black quarter we can do this. We kind of crap on the white quarterbacks that can actually run.

"Michael Vick was a tremendously great quarterback. I mean, I can go down a list of how many dynamic quarterbacks. In the funny thing is, is that they like to make a spectacle and try to point out everything they can to make us divided. And I talk about the black national anthem here in a second, but they try to make us divided. How many white quarterbacks have never played in the Super Bowl? Come on, man. More than the black quarterbacks haven't played in the Super Bowl. Give me a break, man. It's not a statistic. That makes that mean nothing. You know, think about Andy Reid, Andy Reid is won another Super Bowl. Andy Reid did a tremendous job in the second half, he had their number. I mean, you could say it's Andy Reid, but the coordinators are black. Isn't it was it the enemy one of the guys? Is that his name? He's the officer coordinator. Eric B enemy, I would argue that Eric B enemy won the game. But he a black man, but Andy Reid is a white man, but he's the head coach, but the decision that wanna championship probably was from the enemy. If you guys wouldn't remember, and I played football in college, so I know the terminology, I know the lingo. I know I play deep as a bag too. Eric biene me and the chiefs could see that they were switching players when they run the player across the formation. Because instead of the defensive back chasing them across the formation and being out paced because defensive bats can't run in a straight line like the wide receiver can, they have to run out around the linebackers. So if they call hut in the middle of the plane, they're not in front of the linebackers trying to make a tackle. So the defensive back is that it is advantaged by running around the linebackers trying to chase the wide receiver as he goes in motion across the formation. So aired the enemy, I would argue, he was smart enough to see that they're switching early. So before the guy didn't get across the formation, they already signaled to the other D back on the other side like, hey, we switch, you got that man, and I'm going to slide over. And what he did was he ran him across the formation and ran him back. And they already switched without looking back at the guy that is now wide open. They did it twice. Two touchdowns they go up and potentially win the game. It's not about race though. Because somebody like Airbnb should get a lot of credit, but that's not the way it works because you want office coordinating not a head coach. But at the end of the day, I don't think a single player cares what color the culture is, what cut of the players are we cutting the quarterback is. I mean, I think that people were enjoying all those super bowls that Tom Brady won.

The Super Bowl With Two Black Starting Quarterbacks Went Viral
"So sunny hostin decided to make a commentary about the black quarterbacks in the Super Bowl. Mind you one of them is biracial. That means one of his parents is white and the other one is black, which is Patrick Mahomes. And then Jalen hurts his period of both his parents are black, they light skinned and so you know they mixed with something. But anyway, Jalen hurts being black, she gets on, and I'm paraphrasing that she made the statement to say that now we know that black people can run a team and there can be black quarterbacks. Well, first of all, that's why women y'all need to stick to y'all sports and leave our sports out of it. Especially if you ain't never watched football before, you know what you're talking about, you're just going on a rant about the Super Bowl the first one you've ever watched in your life. Black quarterbacks have been a thing for a very long time. Some of the greatest quarterbacks in history of the NFL were black quarterbacks. Somehow she forget about and I'm just going to say a brief number of them. Each of you get about one moon, way back in the day. Quincy Carter played for the cowboys. I mean, he was he great. He was a star quarterback on the cowboys. Dak Prescott. I mean, is he not black? I guess you don't count because he ain't in the Super Bowl. But then you go through Donovan McNabb, Steve, mcnair, Steve mcnair, you can go through college football and then go to the NFL. And they may not have panned out, but Vince Young was one of the best quarterbacks who ever played in college football in my opinion. He was one of the best quarterbacks to ever play. He got into the NFL may rookie of the year and then he didn't play after that because of his personal decision making. We can go down the list. Who you got, Nick. I mean, I think I got a few of them. Oh, you took my now. Lamar Jackson, which is the most dynamic quarterback in the NFL. And then you have Michael Vick way back in the day. Michael Vick came out. First round draft pick. Gun in it. Michael Vick was a tremendously great quarterback. I mean, I can go down a list of how many dynamic quarterbacks. In the funny thing is, is that they like to make a spectacle and try to point out everything they can to make us divided. Black or White?
"Ladies and gentlemen, gentlemen, ladies, welcome back to the office of Tatum. So I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I just want to put this out here 22 shot in Chicago for murdered over the Super Bowl weekend in case you don't hear from the mainstream media because they don't care if black people get killed by black people. And I would argue that probably most of those shot are people of African descent while they celebrate and go on in lament over the fact that there's two black quarterbacks in the NFL Super Bowl. However, one of them is half black, which taking these biracial and only because of white supremacy, do we call people who are half black half white, black. And I don't understand why we still do it. It's the funny thing, the funny thing is, the activists are out shouting to the rooftop that white supremacy is destroying our country, yet they're operating in white supremacy. I went to college and I studied whiteness. It was the actual course in college, and that was one of the premises of white supremacy was that if you had a drop of anything else, but white, you'll consider that particular race so that the white race could be pure. So all of these black folks out here and whoever else claim to be activists are considering biracial people to be black, you are promoting an actively supporting white supremacy. If a person is 50 50, that person is called biracial, that person is not black, nor are they white. Because I have never in my life seen a biracial person be called white. Even a biracial person that's raised by nothing but white people. Colin Kaepernick,

And I had the chiefs, by the way, getting a point and a half, my God. I just think it's weird that we're at a place where we can't even believe them. Like, all right, did we go with the most courageous miraculous comeback of all time for a person who should have his leg amputated? Or is this a fake injury? And now I'm hearing more fake injury than anything else. Now he's cowboy bob Orton all of a sudden with the arm, but the cast that was on for a three years too long. You know, I was watching sports center after. And mahomes did a stand up interview with Chris Berman and Steve Young and booger and was just standing on the set for 5 minutes. Casually talked about the game. And I'm like, I thought his ankle was bet 5 different ways. What's going on? And sprinted sprinted to go to Berman, right? He was like, oh, he's over there. All right, I'll get there in under three and a half seconds. Maybe this will lead to a new, I don't know, football philosophy where teams will pretend they're guys hurt more than it is or whatever it works. It was one of the reasons people were picking the eagles this week was I have a home. You can't really move. Hit the key point of this game. What did he scramble for 30 yards? How long was that? And like at some point, when you're running that fast and that far, whenever you come down, that's it, man. It's gonna hurt. It's gonna sting like, unless they carry you into the end zone. You're in trouble, but that was when I thought, oh, come on, he got right up. He shook it off. It says it is a weird thing, but I mean, he won MVPs plus one 30. We're gonna give it to him anyway. He had under 200 yards passing, right? But the three touchdowns and just, I guess, by the fact just being in there and everything else, he deserves it. He was awesome. After he heard his ankle, he went 13 for 14 for 92 yards and two TVs. We could talk about the bad rep stuff, but I think we should talk about my homes, and I think we should talk about how

Well, I just finished a few minutes ago. Taping an interview with Chris Berman for this podcast. Oh. I had a few minutes in between. So of course, what do I do? I go on Twitter. And I'm scrolling through and I see a picture of you and you've got classes on. When did you get glasses? Oh my God, my eyes are shot. I'm reading glasses, really. Or like when I'm at work for when I'm writing the TV show, I need glasses for the computer. It helps me out. So it's been a couple of months. And has that treat, yeah. I'm getting old and it sucks. Why? I don't know why glasses over contacts. Oh God, I would never get contacts. And I don't need them, I don't need them all the time. So it's just for, I think, short stuff right in front of me, I'm not very hard time seeing as they get older, but I only tweeted that pick so I could show the islanders Jersey to upset people. Yeah, I don't know what's going on. I mean, I mean, people get upset because I wonder stuff. I'm in ridiculous. It was a whole. It is a whole story to it, but you don't need to get into it. I've had glasses and college. It's not just for old people. Really? And why haven't you gotten contacts? I don't do well with I touch in my eyes. That would just gross me out. Ever thought about surgery or anything? I did. I did way back when, but I don't know. My classes don't bother me, so. I never really I will say I'd prefer now that I have to wear them at times. I'd prefer to either have it all or nothing. Oh yeah, that's a pain in the ass with the on and off on and off. Yeah, and you got to bring them with you or whatever. I only really use them specifically at work, but I probably should be using them other areas as well. But that's it. Got it. All right, how to get that. Taken care of. I thought someday was such a huge disappointment. I was so pumped up. The first game was unwatchable. Oh, that was, I mean, gene, gene, what do you think, gene? Gene, let's go to YouTube. The fourth quarter was a complete debacle in that game. You've been talking about this for years. And I know we've been talking about this on the pod for a while, but you specifically have been talking about how useless it is for years. And it was unbelievably overbearing during the championship. It's like you need to come on and tell us what we're saying. They need to come on and explain a rule we may not understand. And don't come on Pereira if a referee pulled out a gun and shot someone Pereira would go, well, it was justifiable. You know, it was probably self defense. He's all right. The eagle guy pushes the niner guy into the kicker and he's like, oh yeah, that's a clear 15. No, it's not. You could say the ref messed up. It's okay. What did Olsen say on that? Your boy Olsen, did he get on it? Well, you could tell, no, burkhart and Olsen clearly thought it should have been the 5 instead of the 15, and they sort of gave Pereira the chance to say that, but of course he doesn't. He has to defend. There were two issues with Sunday. Pereira just gets on there and no matter what the ref set does the refs are right. It's terrible. Territory, he actually said the refs got a call wrong with the holding. The problem with this territory, which wasn't stereotypes fault, is that Nancy Roma went to him on every single play in the fourth quarter. It became unwatchable. Right, it was like a three man booth. Nobody wants to hear what Jean started or has to say, unless it is a game changing play that we don't know what is happening. We need a ref view to let us know what is going on, which by the way, now with all these different angles, we don't need it.

"And then the classic Jim got had four nicknames pitcher. Pirates and others. Jim got the win, Jim got to save Jim got the lawsuit. You've got no decision. So he had four. The football one or I'll tell you one. So Eric the enemy. If it's still obviously in the news. Great one. And a great person. Chargers, chargers niners. That's Super Bowl. Media day. We're laughing in this, and I love my nickname sleeping with the enemy. Then he goes, my wife's not too fun. All right, tell her, I'm not implying that they she knows, but I thought that was funny. My all time favorite will always be burpee home boy 11. You know why? Every parent said it. Every hit hurt. You don't have to know he was a pitcher for the twins or the pirates. You don't have to know he had a curve ball. You don't have to know he won a lot of games. You just be home but I love it. Okay, dad, you know. Do you ever, you know, I'm just thinking because when we talk about nature on means and you talked about how he has those powerful bursting runs and now, I don't know if you watch good morning football Kyle Brandt. He's a friend of mine does the angry runs and he's incorporated a lot of the sounds and we see a lot of people incorporate the sounds. And I feel like they're all doing it sort of as an homage to you in a way. When you see that, do you think, yeah, it needs some noise there. Let's get some noise going on that run. Yeah, if they are doing it as an homage, I love it, but I don't look, I don't have a patent. I didn't patent it. So it's descriptive. And when doing highlights, Jimmy, whether it's Kyle, me or anybody. And I try to tell our youngsters youngsters. When words and pictures are match, it's one plus one equals three. So if you want to go and there's natron meeting business or Mike, you know, good hands with all stock. Well, you're watching, you don't look in the camera and say, you do it while he's on the three yard line, trying to score a touchdown. And it's the same with the whoop. I mean, that's Barry Sanders, by the way. I mean, that's right. But it's really just three students. Did you know that? Sure. Sure. So. Give me a player today. I mean, you do, you do prime time on prime time. But who's the player today? You love calling a highlight for who gives you the sounds who you, you know, who you get excited for, it gives you a good run, gives you a good chance to be Chris Berman that we know with the highlight. Well, it's a lot easier with the quarterbacks than it ever was, obviously. I mean, you can take a half dozen of mahomes with one of them, but Josh Allen Lamar, Jackson when he's healthy. We're seeing it from Jalen hurts. I mean, and I'm leaving a couple out because they're going to throw that Kyler Murray that extra point that took about 30 fastest the fastest three minutes of extra point, 2.3. So the mobile quarterbacks all give you a chance to do it because they're not even maybe they're not throwing it right then either. They're making a move to buy another 5 to ten seconds. So that that's so one Josh Allen maybe because again, buffalo, but any one of those that I just mentioned and with apologies to a couple I might have left out at the different game behind the center, obviously. Last thing there's nothing to do with sports. You mentioned it earlier in this podcast. You've always been, you've always loved music. We've seen you throughout the years. I've seen on stage Huey Lewis and the eagles and all that. Now, there's an ongoing joke in sports media that every sports media white male over 40 is obsessed with Bruce Springsteen. I'm not a spruce guy, and then I, people on Twitter, I get nasty responses when I say, are you a Bruce guy like everyone else? I don't know Bruce personally, I did see him a long time ago before. I don't even know if he had rosalita out at that time. So, but look, I got to be great friends with Huey Lewis Bay Area and he had me on stage 15 times or whatever and I can sing okay. I mean, for one song, you know, and it's a song he didn't sing unless I was there walking on a thin line. It was an add on. Nobody wants to hear Chris perman sing the power of love, okay? So for good reason. And it was usually an encore where people had had a few already, right? So, hey, it's great. Now get off. Glenn Frey became a really good friend. Bob Seger is a very good friend. Name dropping. The ones who are sports fans, I got to know, and those were among my favorites. I mean, I could mention about 20 more. But Bruce, give me an artist, you never saw in concert who you wish you would have seen. Dead or alive, doesn't matter. None of The Beatles. Well, I mean, The Beatles, I mean, they'd be hard. But I'd never seen Paul or Ringo. You've never seen Paul. I'm surprised by that. No, no. I saw I saw a Billy Joel concert. It was the last concert ever chase stadium. And Paul was a surprise and did two numbers. Can I count that as saying I saw Paul McCartney concert? Okay. Yes. Yes, that's it. You're in. Hold on, calls. You have a winner. I'll take it. I'm with The Beatles. That's this big. Everyone else. I do want to throw one thing out to you before we go. So people that people can think about this. The previous two games in this building, which they hate when I call it the big toast, by the way. Because it looks like a toaster, doesn't it? Yes, it does. But the English muffins and we're on. The two super bowls Jimmy in this building were the obviously the Patriots going 18 and zero for and 19 and all except for the last minute. Say no more. And the game that changed the paths of two teams last decade. By New England Malcolm butler picking off the Seahawks at the one at Seattle one tuna row for them, maybe they have a chance for three in her own cause that defense stays together and all of a sudden New England three unbelievably tough losses go from three and zero to three and three. Oh, they can't win the big one. I'm not saying they can't. So the two games in there were seminal moments for not only, I mean, for football history. So with two number one seeds, maybe we get one of those. I mean, the easy thing is all my homes shows how, but maybe it's an unbelievable game that Philly and Jalen hurts knock them off, but it's one of those so we're set the stage is set in this building for something great. I would be shocked if we don't have a one score game in the fourth quarter. I think they're just they're very evenly matched. I think the mahomes ankle is a factor. You know, I'm a little bit skeptical with the refs, the refs always come in and seem to make their presence known when we don't need it. But I'd be surprised if this is not super competitive in the fourth quarter. I agree. And that's all you want. And that's all you want. No, I completely agree. At least no but yeah, we got quarterback to start a quarterbacks are playing. As opposed to the championship game, this should be, this should be great. One score either way and it might be a sack by Reddick or those guys or Chris Jones or them that changes it and it's not the quarterbacks. You know, but in the end, this

"Did it. That way. Al Michaels always says cheeky. He wants to keep it cheeky. It's pretty good. He was great on, you know, and they're down to the ten and this might be of interest to some. But yeah, I liked it the way I would do it. No, I don't miss doing it now because no one, here's what's interesting, Jimmy. No one really yeah, and it was really letters and I'm like going back to the 80s, but even the early, oh, you told me this would win and I'm annoyed at you. I got very little at that. Very little 'cause I'm doing my best. But no one's saying that, well, because yours was, I think 'cause you did it in more of a fun way than getting a gambling segment. You weren't doing the Jimmy, you know, when Jimmy the Greek did it, that was like, you know, you're thinking, okay, this guy's in the hallways with the getting backdoor information. And you did it, it was a fun entertainment bit with little gambling mixed in. I did a little more backdoor discussions than people know, but I wasn't getting the assistant trainer to tell me on Friday morning. Of course, Friday morning, you don't know if a guy's going to play anyway, right? So there was none of that. But I have my teams. So there were certain years of my teams didn't do well, it's like the proverbial foot in the bucket. But we had, we had more good seasons than quote, bad Caesars. And it was fun making 5 picks and rooting in the room to go three and two every week. Right. Now betting on the Super Bowl is, you know, Americans, American pie and fireworks, the eagles minus one and a half against the chiefs if Chris Berman were to make a legalized wager where would he go? On Super Bowl Sunday. Well, as we speak and we should tell your viewers or listeners, it's what Tuesday. So we don't know that, oh my God, Patrick Mahomes is ankles worse. I mean, we don't think so. So we have to take that into consideration, although to try to predict what that will be 12 days from when you and our almost to his almost impossible. Well, there's no spread. The beauty is you get to pick a winner. Really? I mean, you know, Philly couldn't buy one and you don't, it could be a two point spread, but it's not going very much farther than that. I don't believe as we speak. I would lean to the chiefs as we speak, but that's not a, again. No, actually, here we are assuming mahomes is fine and Kelsey looked fine. They ended the game with one receiver. Who you know about? I mean, Tony was hurt. And juju. But truth to his hurt. And sky Moore was used as any return they used three punt returners in that game. He fumbled like three times earlier this year. Well, he had the big return that we all saw on that final minute. He had another one earlier. So do they have receivers? Do they, but it's hard to say, who will have a better game the Philly front wall, which is Reddick and my God, they play 7 or 8 deep, including Brandon Graham and Fletcher COX-2 guys drafted by Andy Reid when he was there. Like Andy still has three players on the eagles, the therapy and Jason Kelce, who are big contributors, right? Yeah. I'm digressing. So I think I would, I would, you know, Patrick Mahomes is special. We all know that. I would lean to the chiefs, but that's far from a, oh my God, why are we even looking at this game? The eagles had a walk over in San Francisco, they're not that good. I'm not saying that at all. 38, 7 and 31, 7. I don't care what you say. We put this up on the show. I don't know if you saw it, which was interesting. And I may get this run. There are only 5 teams that won the division and the championship came by, but I wish at 17 or more. I don't have the graphic in front of me. And they were some of the most legendary teams. They were the 89 niners. They were the 85 bears who shut everybody out of the NF and 46 to ten. They were the, oh, the 62 packers went 13 and one and beat the Giants at Yankee Stadium. So, and I think it was the 88 niners, which they were not well, through the 40 night of their Joe Montana, and I'm forgetting one other. Or maybe no, maybe the eagles were the and will they. So I never thought to look at that. Yeah. If you're an eagle fan, you kind of like what that looks. If you're an eagle fan, you better realize Patrick Rome's isn't Daniel Jones and Brock purdy slash Josh Johnson slash Christian McCaffrey. But they're going to have a good time thinking that he is. That's true. You're going to have a good time out in Arizona. Oh my goodness. We've talked about prime time. We've talked about the Swami. Obviously another thing you're known for with a nickname, which I'm sure you're sick of talking about. But here's my question. Have you ever had an athlete come up to you, reach out to you that didn't like their nickname? That Chris Berman nickname? Very few. Because that's a good question. So it's a funny story. So 80s 90s when I was doing the baseball time I'm not either the games or sports center at night and I did ten sports centers a week blah blah blah as we all did. They kind of like the little notoriety. You know, none of them were derogatory. That's important to know. Right. Mike witt, Mike Jim wit. No, I would never use it, you know? So Kevin bass, good guy, really good guy. You know, Houston was played a long time. They all started out dealing with Houston. He came up because, you know, of course, I'm not, I don't know if I love the nickname. Because he was large mouth bass. And I said, well, I don't mean anything. He goes, I know you don't, he was very nice. I know you don't mean anything wrong by it, but it makes me sound like a big mouth or a complainer. And I, you know, I thought for 5, ten seconds not to be flipping at all. I went, all right, let me ask you this. How small mouth bass? He goes, go with it. And so. We went with it. So not many because it was all in fun and never at their expense. Yeah, I meant it more. It was like, did someone maybe say like, oh, mine should be more fun or more, not that they were mad about it, you know? Well, George Brett came up, I mean, that story has been written. George, and I remain great friends. Early 80s, how come we don't have more nicknames? Well, the royals, and George, are you kidding? I mean, well, what's my, I said, well, George, you were already George Brett before I got on TV. I'm not calling you like wonder Brett. We're Johnny Bench, they're already Johnny Bench. I mean, Johnny Bench is a layup nickname, right? Like, you could come up with 18. Not doing that. So it was kind of like a blank canvas, but you were grandfathered in almost like an NHL player who was playing without the helmet, Jimmy. They're already playing, they get to keep the helmet off. And at some players have two nicknames, 'cause I think when I talked about watching some old prime times, like I said, I love that era with natron means. And I always thought it was natron means business. Yes. But then I think you had another one for him, because I remember watching it, now I can't remember what the other one was. It was really because it was on the delivery too, because you bold guys over as you remember, they tried means business. Now, the ones that have more than one nickname, there were a couple in baseball with perfect. That Mike Felder. Remember him, it is an outfielder with a few others. Well, depending on what position he played, he was left center or right Felder.

"Think they got the ball in the second half. I don't remember. With Josh Johnson went down by 7, and if it stays 14, 7, that 9 or defense is stout as hell. Right. And maybe here's a fumble. But at 21 7 and then hurts took over running 5 or 6 plays on that drive, and I wonder whether that was to show not only him that you can do it and take a hit, of course. Well, even, I mean, whoever they're going to play in the Super Bowl that you better watch this, he may not be a 100% by his own words, but he's good enough for that. But here's the thing. And the only thing I've heard is that they will probably go back to Jimmy to the dress the emergency quarterback who can only go in if those two quarterbacks never get in again, right? Right. They're going to win with the 5th no, they're not going to anyway except it would have been here's a past a kittle of 11 yards. Well, that's the point. They were not able to attempt a forward pass in a second. I mean, I think Perry came back in and I think he threw two passes that were in the air for two yards. So that to me, I mean, they weren't going to score. They weren't going to come back and win. But they had it at 21 7, which is not it was insurmountable at that point. But they had a 21 7 with three minutes left in the third quarter. We're about to get the ball back, and then they got that terrible roughing the kicker, which should have been 5 yards the rest, of course, screwed up shock or 15 yards. Eagles get the ball and then forget it. So the fact that it was only 21 7, three minutes left in the third quarter, about that was even stunning. Let me ask you this before I want to just curious. Obviously, for so many years, the Swami. Friday nights, the pay. Now, well, let me start with this. I just came to my head. I mean, we're in a whole new world now than when you did the schwa because now we have legalized gambling. The NFL is in bed with every legalized gambling company. There's lines on the pregame shows that everything. Now, roger still doesn't want. He doesn't want NFL media out there saying give me the chiefs minus one. He doesn't want Joe buck and Kevin burkhardt saying all the totals 54. But this cat's out of the bag and in a way that it wasn't with the Swami. But you had to just give the score and we knew us degenerates knew what you meant. So is there a party that's a little pissed that you're not doing the Swami in this era when it's a little more when it's less taboo? No, actually, I wish it wasn't all this, I have my long opinions about, I don't know that everyone should be this in bed. And I'll leave it at that, all right? You probably agree. But that being said, the cat's out of the bag anyway, right? Whether the league is doing ads or all the leafs or not. No, as I look back at it, that's a really good question, Jim. Because I've thought about it. You know, because I haven't done the Swami since my since I stepped back so the last year of the swamp was what 16. By the way, the final pick ever made by the Swami. Yes. I didn't have this path correct. Nobody did. I had New England by 6 over Atlanta in the Super Bowl. Now, of course, I didn't say, yeah, they're going to be down by 28 to three. They're going to go to overtime and final pick ever. I don't remember the score, was New England by 6 over Atlanta. So for that, it was better to have a walk off Homer if you will. Or touch it down. I almost enjoyed a lot because of course you had to do it the whole Swami career and et cetera, the wink, a little bit of it. It's going to be a lot closer than expected or they're going to win pretty big. And I always had scores that were at least three off of the spread. Of course you tape it Friday and could move a little, but you get the I kind of liked and I never worried about over under. Like some of my scores were three to two. When the rams were playing Brett Favre, I think I had 78, 75. I mean, just right. Having fun. Oh, you took it sent over? No, I'm just think it's going to be offensive, okay? Right. But I like that we

"To play 100 were better. But knowing the bills like I do in knowing that city in western New York, like I do, and this wasn't told to me, but if you these are human beings playing all these games and doing these shows and doing other things. I wondered going into that game. Our buffalo demar Hamlin, thank God the news is, it's easy for us to say, it's not good yet, but it's compared to we don't have to go through. I mean, compared to what it could be, it's unbelievable. That week was the most normal they had with him, obviously he was there they could see it was going to be okay, easy for us to say. So you said, okay, now they're ready to go. Well, let's start from there. Three weeks of their brother, if you will, say no more, right? I mean, that's real and you don't sleep and you don't, although you're concentrating in your playing and you have a job and everything else. So two 6 foot snowstorms. Where I'm a player, I'm not a player. I have a baby and a wife and we lost all lost power one night. We have it now all of a sudden they're plowing us out. We're going to Detroit. Are they going to be okay? Yes, they're going to be okay. But it sounds like huge excuse. But two 6 foot snowstorms. From November on, you know, before Thanksgiving. The shooting in the supermarket in the summer, it's a very big deal in that community. And in August, I think, so it's not that nobody else has this, and there are others. I wondered, and I wondered, well, certainly after demar Hamlin. How much gas to get to this point? I don't mean the bangle game, even the week before with Miami. What they want, but they weren't great, but they want, right? How much gas did they have to use to get to this point? And how much is left? You asked me the buffalo side. Anyone from Cincinnati seeing this is why no. Bengals were outstanding, but yeah, the issue isn't that the Bengals beat the bills. It was the bills just seemed like just lethargic and not there was no intensity playoff intensity. And it's funny. I had heard someone I forgot who because it was three weeks ago. It was one of the NFL experts who I trust. I heard him on a talk show, maybe on saying, and this was going into the New England game. It was the first game after the Monday night game against Cincinnati with the demar Hamlin situation. And he said, the bills are exhausted. The bills players are exhausted. They barely slept because it was all of us. Imagine us, we were waiting two, three days for the positive word under Mark Hamlin. Those players, his teammates, like you said, his brother, I'm sure they didn't sleep a wink for two or three nights. So going into that patriot game, one of the experts quote unquote said the players are exhausted. I figured by the time though, two, three weeks later when the playoff games Cincinnati, then that rolls around. But I, you know, you're probably right. The whole thing just took a toll that they would probably never able to sort of get out of. A couple of players quoted after and weren't using it as an excuse. It was not right. I think individually we're essence said, I don't know what it was I. They never said we read a couple of quotes. I just didn't. I tried my best. I just didn't have it today. So not going, oh, look at everything we've been through. Because everybody goes through some things. But it was just and since, by the way, that's Cincinnati team is outstanding. So you need more guests than usual to beat them. I mean, they struggle with New England, not that they're supposed to walk over them. The bills that we saw obliterate the rams that Super Bowl champ on the opening Thursday night, where no road team ever wins in a home of the Super Bowl. Nobody. And the next week they clobber Tennessee. So it's almost impossible to sustain that anyway from September brilliance to January, same thing, but the season took a toll on a lot of people. And you can't quantify it. It's not like he missed the block because of that or just in the bagels were really good too. And your other team, your other team, the niners. I tweeted Sunday morning that I was so pumped up for those two games because it was the four best teams, the cream rose to the top. Here we go. Let's do it. Yeah, the great story they were party, the games in Philly with those fans or animals. And I mean that in a positive way. So you're there for the atmosphere. And then after the first quarter, it's not a real game. It was such a bummer. I mean, the 9 is played with no quarterback for three quarters. The whole thing was just a disaster on so many levels. Which is nobody's fault. Nobody's fault at all. I mean, even if, well, I said on prime time was it's like they had to play the single wing. Now in the 40s, so kittle set out to the game. Well, we had about 15 plays, different running plays. That include maybe one to him to debo in the captain. Yeah, it's like a boxer going with one hand tied behind his back. Again, you feel that offshore Philly did what they were supposed to do. Past rush, it ran it that ended up inadvertently, knocking pretty out of the game. We'll never know what would have happened. The only thing in the game wise you wonder, because Philly wasn't for them, great, although they won 31 to 7. So stupid saying that. They had, when the niners got the ball down, 14 7 with a minute, 20, whatever it was. I think that it pretty decent tick return to the 33 or I mean I'm going off the top of my head. Booger and I said, I wonder if they're going to not kneel, but just run. Try something to maybe get a long field goal, it's not that cold and maybe Robbie gold could hit a 50 yarder and it's 1410. And it threw a pass and was complete on the first plate, Josh Johnson, right? Oh, and then, of course, the very next play. Here's the fumble, the shotgun and filming at 21 7 it's over. So it was already in retrospect over, but 14, and I'm not saying that we're going to get a field. Because say it's 14 7, I

You think of all these things, and then you meet him and you're like, what's this gonna be like? I mean, I've been watching this guy for decades, and now I'm gonna meet him and talk to him. Could not have been a nicer guy. All I kept thinking in my head which was stupid and strange was he sounds just like Chris Berman. When it is Chris burner, but he sat like that voice is so iconic that I couldn't help but think that's just Chris Berman's voice and he's not saying the things that I usually am hearing him say. He's saying them in the words or tailored towards the conversation that we're having. And I was starstruck at the beginning of that, but then once you realize how nice he is and how much he's like, let's just get out there. Let's try to play well and even if we don't, let's just have a good time. That brought my nerves down to a very good level, so the whole thing. And that was before we even played. That was all before we teed it up. It was. It's funny that you said that 'cause I remember being like, is he doing a Chris Berman voice? Does he do that just to sound like what we're supposed to think, Chris Berman sounds like? Or does he order like eggs Benedict in the morning, sounding like that? And I think that's his voice. We were around him for two to three hours and that's just how he is and he's couldn't be a better guy. Yeah, he wasn't he's not faking it. That's just Chris Berman and Chris Berman's voice. And he had just been part of my take. He just did part of my take and he was talking so highly of those guys and how everyone keeps stopping him and talking about how amazing that interview was and how he should have done it long time ago, but then COVID happened and they couldn't find the right time or place to do it. He's been wanting to do it forever, so just couldn't have been a better experience with boomer. Definitely got our nerves down a little bit, but then they started to rev up as we started to walk over to the first tee, we had just met Sean Payton. We walked through, like I said before, we walked through this hallway of just children's hospital, employees, and also little kids there wearing the children's hospital shirts and you're shaking hands and signing things and shaking hands over with the wounded wars, and then you all of a sudden just walk up to the first tee at a PGA Tour event and Zürich classic signs are everywhere.

"Dirty nearly unwatchable or tiny. Wasn't i would've turned it off. And i'm with you. The split screens done poorly and should have had a camera behind home plate Why don't implement a launch monitor. Similar that they have in the pga tour. Yeah i i think that would be fun to but they were trying to speed up the process and i think in the process they kind of they took away from what these home runs. I mean these are supposed to be majestic home runs. And you just assume that you know when i would watch somebody swing. I didn't know where it was landing. And i would just go okay. I guess that's homerun and chris berman whether you liked him or not. You know. Chris still was definitive. Like you knew right away. You know he'd he would yell out. Gone a inlet. Carl ravitch's different than chris berman raby. There's more understated and how he was going to call it last night but given the split screen that we didn't see where they landed. I would have liked a little bit more of an emphasis on that. You're gonna i don't even wear it landed. And that's where i you tune in to see how far not how many as much as how far dean in washington nadine..

"Chris Berman will join us on the program tomorrow. Red Farm was on TMZ sports, and he was talking about Patrick Mahomes. And he says that he thinks Mahomes concussion is going to be a test for the NFL. He will want to play whether or not he passed the baseline test that he took initially and the doctors feel he's able to this is this is a test for the NFL right now. To see a star player in a crucial crucial game. What will happen with their decision? We welcome in Russia. Tucker, the former NFL offensive lineman, host of Ross Tucker football podcast and you'll be working for Westwood. One will be working the sidelines for the F C title game. Kickoff will be 6 40 Eastern on Sunday. Ross, do we know if this is a concussion with Patrick Mahomes? It. Evidently, Dan is not a concussion. Having watched a couple times, I think that he had momentary trauma to the corroded Sinus area where the vagus nerve and borrow receptors are located. I think what happened was really a vaso vagal reaction. You reading something? That's uh, I read that. I read that this morning from Dr David Chow. The 20 years he was the Chargers team doctor. He doesn't think Mahomes actually had a concussion. He thinks basically, ever see. It's like a martial artist or a copper. Whatever hit someone like here, he thinks that when Mac Wilson came up with his right arm And hit him and he said in 20 years, he never saw it in football, but based on the different reports that air leaking out and the video that's what he believes happened And he doesn't think Mahomes will have any problem. Getting clear Cause doesn't make you really had a concussion, but also he has to go through the concussion protocol. How long does it take you to go through the protocol? E. I mean, you could say, Look, I don't have a concussion. But if you're in the concussion protocol, you have to go through the required steps, don't you? Yeah, and one of them is a full practice. So I don't think we will hear that. He is cleared until Friday afternoon. Maybe Saturday morning because they'll probably take it easy with him today, maybe does a full practice Thursday. Then he meets with the independent neurologist, and I know Dan. There's a lot of conspiracy theories out there. I understand that. But they do real. They really do have independent neurologist. They're not affiliated with the team, and those people have to clear them. And they do that for a reason. They want to make sure there's somebody who is not affiliated with the gene because there'd be a heck of a lot of pressure on that team Doctor. If that's who was in charge, it's really out of everybody's hands Other than that independent neurologist at this point Can you hide a concussion? No, it is. Yeah, I think you can. Um You know you can't hide what happened in the homes where you know he obviously stumbled to his feet and I actually think then even if whatever, Dr Chow said, even if he's cleared I got to think like I could just picture my mom right then saying That boy should not be able to play football. I saw him wobbly on his feet last Sunday, he should not be able to play. I could just picture Ah, bunch of people. My mom included believing. After what they saw last Sunday that that young man should not be able to play tackle football a week later. I don't have a problem with it as long as the independent neurologist Clears them, but to your point. Yeah, I mean, look, I had at least three concussions as a player. Dan never diagnosed, never said anything about it really back then. Unless you were knocked out and this is only 2000 won in 2008. But unless you were knocked out or you said something, there really was no way for them to remember One time sit on the bench. And one of the practice called Offensive line was like Tucker. You okay? And I was kind of in a in a fog there for good three or four minutes. Drew Bledsoe. Don't interception like a total idiot. I tried to make the tackle and Roosevelt Koven blindsided me. The first thing you hit the ground was the back of my head. And I was kind of in a daze for a good three or four minutes, but other than the one practice squad. Oh, Lyman, who saw me guy Tommy get killed. He was going person even talk to me about it. Huh? What if my home's can't play? What are their chances against Buffalo? Well, The only thing I would say is to two factors in that number one any played Really? Well. I mean, had he did a lot of really positive thinks he had one terrible interception. I have no idea what was going on there, but he played pretty well. Everything is sometimes. When there's a backup quarterback like that. I feel like number one. The other guys rally around him and play better and number two. Whether it's conscious or subconscious. It just seems like sometimes the other side. I don't know I don't I don't say they let up. But It's like, OK, It's not my homes. It just it changes things a little bit. I will say this though, Dan Chad honeys from my small hometown. Why missing Pennsylvania went toe Wilson High School. I know him for a while. He's to work out with his dad. And you know the way it is. I'm sure it happens to you all the time. Then where people tell you their kids are. Let me tell you about my son is gonna be good athlete. I remember working out with Chad and his dad. When I was in college, he was like, Yeah, I think my son to be pretty. I'm like, Yeah, sure is gonna be great. Turns out he started four years for one of the top 10 schools in Pennsylvania and then four years at Michigan Now is his 13th year in the NFL, So small world we're talking Ross Chucker, the rush Tucker football podcast. He'll be on the sidelines the F C title game with Westwood one How important is this game to Tom Brady? To his legacy Me? Well, I brought this up that his age a year removed from the Patriots, you just beat breeze. If you would happen to beat Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau when Rogers is playing at an all time level, he's your M V P. I'm not even getting to the Super Bowl yet. But I don't know if I'm overstating how big of a game. This is for Brady to do what he's doing. If you factor in the other elements here of No longer with the Patriots first year with Tampa Bay age 43 on the road, and you're going to beat Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau. My overstating it. No, I don't think you are. I mean, look. The only arguments people have left against Brady right is that it was it was all ballot checking, coaching, and then he's a system quarterback, blah, blah, blah, which both are laughable. But whatever. If the beats Aaron Rodgers, the M V P at Lambeau to go to a tent Super Bowl, where the new team Even those morons will have to shut up at this point, right?.
