"She said he's gonna pick katya katya so no there's no way he's faking jen. Nash chose gedi signs were there they showing those those confessionals from katie so it makes sense but yeah i mean it's so funny to think that crispy crispy hausky has now become not hawk oddities yeah ray and even for the fans like i wonder like i was. I was talking to my dad about this like as chris bec- hausky changed or are is this new general nation of bachelor bachelorette contestants that are just so obsessed with instagram vase though cringe and fame obsessed that now they just in comparison to them. Cousy looks like the one of the best guys out there right now. I don't know but it's i never ever would have thought that i would say <hes> yeah like i think he's come across grade on the show and he is he's event. I think this move he made i think it's i think it was a smart one. I i think he had a really good connection with katie. I really liked them together. <hes> and yeah i. It seems like i mean knock on wood. I mean maybe he's going to get. It's something serious out of this. Maybe finally he's going to stop. You know a being the blake. He hayes lived that life. He's done with it yeah. He's so he lived to the villain and came back around so blake. Just gotta come back and what is it six years and then he'll be fine yeah well. It reminds me of like the thing that rob says about survivor where it's like come back. When you're forty years old or something people don't remember you if you're from the earlier seasons and and you'll do better than the alpha male twenty five year old or something so it seems like even just him being appealing to katie eh she had no clue who he was so it's like he's mysterious and he's seasoned and he's like above all this stuff and she's hasn't seen how he behaved on. I and e season or his stints. It's just like totally forgotten and can rewrite the narrative so yeah now. He's like got a nice little love story going on and then chris harris announces that he's changing the rules and i think we called last week just allowing to give a rose because she's in a same sex relationship so i was hoping there'd be like maybe some other women would be giving roses and it won't be the same power imbalance or they would actually be like shocking rule change but that was that was so no no exactly what expected not all that shocking so demi israel's to christian dylan gives hannah. They've totally disappeared. Where have they gone jordan orden honeymoon land yeah i think rob's point last week that it was the wrong move for simpson believer airtime accurate yeah it because i think for hannah i mean maybe i'm wrong but i feel like hannah is. It seems like a perfectly fine person but i think a lot of these people are in it for a further instant fame. I really do and if that's what she was going forward. Yeah blake would've lakewood a made the most sense for her but hey good for for them. They're happy i don't. I don't think there's going to be engagement engagement at the end though between these two maybe i'm wrong <hes> but had <hes> yeah so for me if if your hand on you're not going to do that with dylan <hes> then yeah maybe i don't know why not stay with <hes> with bad boy blake but yeah i mean what we saw one confessional from dylan about the wedding how j._j. ruined it and that nelson yeah yeah and i don't think we saw do we see hannah..

"And we interact the way you're supposed to interact by loving affection. I don't think my kids and I love them. Don't get does lick my head. Like it's Ali pop. Sometimes Val, now my mouth if I wanna kiss to lick the top of my nose. She knows my mind will give me a good swirl in God. Hotdogs you put something about this is not right. You put in your mouth. Something about this is not right. It's a fact. Kid dog on the mouse. Owner there. There are no Furby. Okay. You're not a dog parent. You are. Got a dog that you love and I love dogs. Nobody listen I'll be out in front of the ASPCA do anything you want for them. I love them. I am not a parent of a dog. Yes. You are part leading the unsullied of Pomerania here. Come on a furred daddy. Anyway. Jones. Speaking of dogs. Tough the kid, but the organization put this type of pressure on them. They said a draft them seventeenth, and everybody would achier poem. And everybody would have felt good shave been gone. Here's my question. If they had drafted Duane Haskins. And that was Dwayne Haskins last night. Would he have been boat? Nope. Nope. Absolutely true. True. If it's the they'd boo anyone. I just don't think that they think that he's any good. And you'll say they think that okay, well, we're going to start our post Eli era with a quarterback. And we're going to be looking for another one. So we, they're looking at maybe post Eli air some bad years ahead, aren't you, you're reading more positive stuff about Jones, anywhere about Haskins coming out of TA's anyway? What do you got for closer? I'm with Michael Thomas. Here we had thought we'd started to get kicked around a little bit that maybe he was gonna get traded because the saints have really only paid one position player big time money, and that was Jimmy Graham, as you pointed out before Maggie he was gone in less than a year, but Michael Thomas, it appears now they're not gonna trade him. They're going to give the contract, according to Diana or Seaney for me as PIN plugged in with the saints. They are more than comfortable in making him the highest paid wide receiver in the game for the moment. I don't have a Thomas is tremendous. He's so I hope that we will be able to get them. Here are the giants would be to get them. Because I think that, you know, you look at what would you breathe cat number next year? I think forty million dollars, they're going to have to be creative because eventually going to pay Kamar, so. Absolutely. Latimer, and all these guys going to be up in a couple of years. This makes me think maybe drew Brees careers come into an male teddy Bridgewater. Getting paid a ton also just think that for the saints maybe chimeras never in their long-term plans to pay. That's crazy. Because you got rid of Mark Ingram, so who who's a backup running back, that can give you that type of productivity, Alvin Kamara is pretty much like, maybe I'm Bill. He's receiver get it. But I just wonder if they feel like they could find another one. I mean he was a third round pick. I think maybe they feel like they can identify another Kamar without having to pay. Do you got? Well talking about Al Horford and opting out of thirty million dollars. And if you thought of thirty million dollars, you're doing for reason, and maybe they're going to give them a long term contract, or maybe he wants to go to what he feels the contender, maybe thinks that they're, you know. All of a sudden, not a contender. Maybe that windows close. I mean, the Isa's wide open. Because they still have Gordon Hayward. They still had a Tatum. They still have they still have a coach. They call what the president, the mayor the head of the school board, whatever nickname. But if they lose kyri I mean, it's a dish in whether I think people in Boston, the kyri was what truly railed, but maybe, maybe I'll Horford things like okay, well, the west is wide open. Let me go to a place like Houston, and maybe you can trae. Clint cappella. And maybe somebody that can open a floor of four four James harden because Capella great on lobs and tip ins and rebounds. But they need a stretch five that can shoot the ball. We range and also be great off pick and roll. I think it'd be a great deal if they were able to trae Clin Capella or make a deal for Horford. I think it'd be both a win win for both. Because you think about in also, you look at, and maybe potentially, I feel like if, if they miss out on Kyran relieves, maybe making that trade and use some draft equity from guy Bradley Bill. One small thing you see the warriors took out a full paid full-page the Toronto Sun on taking graduate, the raptors. Sportsmanship. But that's a little over the top doesn't who cares. You don't have to show the good sportsmanship on the court. Walk off. Nobody. No, okay. Then drag I think called curry at the words, they oh, you almost got no problem. Call parks and giggles trick. What at this grace. John in red Bank. John, what's going on? Everybody. How are you doing today? Good red banks. Knock all scarring prefaced by saying that I'm not starting to came from a good place. But this is a case of creative parrots on wrong in creating yourself in when coast busters, I came out, everybody had that ghostbuster shirt, I wanna go to church so bad and my mother is an artist. So what my mom came up with what she had me the Ghostbusters symbol. Yeah. And you know, it's all like puffy and, you know, like it's just you look good. Beat up at school. I can't. One day and atomic. Wedgie. Batting. That's a good one, though. The worst. Dowdy pain buses. Stay safe marshmallow know. Scarring. Superman shirt painted since we get it, you can draw. Actually my father went to eager show got a little bit. A little bit too much. Here's all he came home at a concert that was who naked women driving a fully writing. I'm a woke up in the morning, which originally lady full dresses. That's us. Yeah. He definitely has scars. Yeah. Can you imagine Ghostbusters was huge? When that came. It was a song that took it over Bobby Brown song for Ghostbusters. To say, Bobby, Bobby Brown. To something strange, and then Bobby Brown at the one from the second one, young man. It was the other guy was Parker. Yeah. Yeah, what's his name? Parker junior. Yeah. Anyway, Chris Christie, Westport Chris what's up? Maggie, how are you pay? How's it going good? Okay. We're at the trade deadline. What is Brody van wagon done by them? I think if this road trip continues down the path that it starts that started, and things are really bad. I think Wheeler is definitely gone. I think Syndergaard is definitely gone syndergaards gone. See the only reason why I think that is, is because they dangled him this off season. And I think that there was something to that. Although a lot of Brody former clients who are on this team at around the league, and he was the first one that got dangled and trade talks. I thought that was a little telling okay interest earlier, I think it was on Joe and Evan and one of them was saying, turn Syndergaard into a closer. What do you think of that? No, no, no D as fight, eventually, it's going to be fine. I hadn't thought about that. But I don't know. Two fifty six that'll do it for us in theory or not supposed to have a show tomorrow because of Yankee baseball. But you never know because the ring could be an issue, so we may be with you tomorrow. At one, we may not be might be Joan Susan, thanks to and Begley from SSI. And of course, Chris. Bec-. Mago sean. Morrish curlew Burton a tremendous job today. Mike is up next. "Well, this week consumer electronic show kicks off in Las Vegas and all sorts of things over there. Talking a lot about you know, autonomous cars and. Five eight eight K television sets that you know, that are bigger than a house. But there are a lot of local companies that present out there, and Chris bricklayer is the CEO and co founder of mind VR, and they are one of them and headed out to the Chris bec- bricklayer joins us right now. It's good to have you with us. Thank you. Thank you. David so mind VR Airbnb. That's right. Yeah. Mine. Yeah. And then virtual reality. That's right. So you got these virtual reality glasses, and you put them only on seniors. Now, tell me about how this works. Yeah. It sounded like a harebrained idea. I write my co-founder, and I have been friends for twenty plus years. We started our careers in Dallas. He had worked for the last ten years in senior long-term care taking care of about one hundred sniff operations in Texas. I was in Silicon Valley working on sort of next generation video technology and virtual reality. And we got together for a beer for the first time in literally ten years, and in that conversation, we said, well, how can how could we use virtual reality to help with the cognitive condition of our aging population. And that would just kind of an idea over a couple of beers technology. It'd be for here's the hardware different than we see people doing space invaders with or you know. Lost in space escapades. Well, the technology in virtual reality has really really improved and become a lot easier to use a lot more ergonomically. Easy and suitable for the aging population. So do you have to re shoot is this your back or you have to re shoot the are shoot new content for the? Yeah. Absolutely. So our our models a lot like net. Flicks. We license about eighty percent of our content from National Geographic, you know. From the major Discovery Channel discovery are the major producers, and then a lot of the content is really geared for millennials because the whole bet in the industry has been VR was for millennials. Well, we've turned around and said to our bet is VR for senior. So we have gone out and created mind VR studios, which essentially is creating original content in three sixty. So you got these virtual reality glasses, and you put them only on seniors. Now, tell me about. And we got together for a beer for the first time in literally ten years, and in that conversation, we said, well, how can how can we use virtual reality to help with the cognitive condition of our aging population. And that would just kind of an idea over a couple of beers technology. It'd be for here's the hardware different than we see people doing space invaders with or you know, lost in space escapades. Well, the technology in virtual reality has really really improved and become a lot easier to use a lot more economically. Easy and suitable for the aging population. So you have to re shoot is this your back or you have to reshoot the are shoot new content for the. Yeah. Absolutely. So our our models a lot like Netflix. We license about eighty percent of our content from National Geographic from the major Discovery Channel discovery are the major producers, and then a lot of the content is really geared for millennials because the whole in the industry has been VR was for millennials. "Make better decisions about drugs and alcohol, plus hit this bifurcated system of education one for those of higher social economic and those who were the outcast at the time. A look at the very long history of public education in New Orleans, and if the system has lived up to its democratic ideal. What are effective and life changing ways to work with kids who are struggling with substance abuse? And how do we help young people? Make better decisions about drugs and alcohol. We are joined by Chris McMahon, founder of long Brad healthcare here to talk about it's outpatients program for adolescents in New Orleans, and he'll also share his own personal journey. Thanks for being with us. Good morning. Thank you for. Oh. This is great. How big a problem is adolescent substance abuse, particularly our metro area. I think it's huge. I think that the warning signs are often harder to spot because when people are just beginning their journey with drugs and alcohol it's much easier to hide the consequences. They have it yet. The had long enough to really destroy their own lives. So they don't have divorces wreck cars and DUI's yet. I know for sure that I am probably everyone. I know who became a drug addict started it in the early early adolescence fourteen fifteen sixteen years old, and if you compared me to people who had a normal relationship would say alcohol the rest of their lives. It was highly noticeable immediately again, though, the consequences weren't that. Great. I was able to wiggle and worm my way out of big consequences. So I think what we're trying to do is the Potomac nationals. Enormous. There's like sixteen thousand people a day nationally who go to the yards with overdoses, the death toll nationally is higher for drug deaths than it is for car accidents and gun desk combined. It's the first time in US history. It's been that bad. So if it's that bad for the adult population, it's there's something sustaining. What's the standing that is the lesson crisis? We have done a number of shows over the past year about the oath. VR epidemic is is there at problem with adolescence? Or is it strictly not the call the root cause of them being addicted to substances, I think that there is far greater access to opioids than there was when I grew up in the eighties. So I think that access has led to an enormous increase in heroin distribution nationally. Whereas now heroines available in the know in the eighties. It wasn't. So I think that the crisis begins with our youth. I think it's a psycho social problem where people basically or just maladjusted to life. They're learning coping skills that are based on escapism, and it could be as bad as your kid just locks himself in his room video games all day that is exactly drug addict behavior, you take those video games, and he's going straight to pot or coke or pills. So it's it's really about coping mechanisms, and I think we can absolutely changing entire life. If we intervene. Early. We're joined by Chris bec- man, founder of long branch healthcare. And we're talking about adolescent, substance abuse, we're going to talk about pathways program at long branch, and how it's really helping address the issue of Adelaide essence and drug substance abuse before we get into that. Chris alluded a little bit to your experiences. It was in the eighties and tell us about your journey. And when you made the decision that this was not the life. You want it or need it? So I will give you kind of a broad overview of that. So all right almost immediately had an affinity for drugs and alcohol and not just the chemicals themselves, but the whole lifestyle that went with it really looked up to the guys who were buying and selling drugs at my high school. They seem to be very comfortable in their own skin. Which was which I was not. When I went to parties, the crowds are always around the guy who had the cocaine, so at least that's how I perceived it at sixteen. It's something that the increase was. So I started to try various different substances. And of course, it all began with alcohol, and what it did is. I didn't notice what a toll was taking all my life until I was are gone to California to play football. And it was like my big drain play division one football. And so the California and and things went horribly awry, I wasn't the star. I thought it would be I got injured in a big pond. The big deal. I got basically crushed got very humbled California. And what I fell to almost immediately was daily drinking and began to experiment with vicodin, which I've been given for it's an opiate which had been given for a bone surgery on my foot, and what that did is it completely took away my emotional pain. And I realized that I don't have to process any of the grief about my life. I can just escape with alcohol and this drug, and then almost immediately my mom got terminal cancer. And I literally just made a decision to check out. And so I started abusing the drugs daily. I really went off the deep end, and I'll tell you I almost I lost about ten years of my life. The problem is once you don't remember, I remember it. You know, the the history of, you know, destroyed relationships, of course, tons of money spent. Or being arrested. I've got a I've got a horrible painful history of all the bad decisions are made. But really when you get like that the drugs and alcohol or are in charge. You're not and so finally someone threw me a lifeline in two thousand and I took it and I got sober. And I've been sober for eighteen years and a lot of beautiful things have happened since then. But it was it was quite a devastating journey, which is why I think if we can intervene in high school for adolescence, you can save them, you know, just so much pain in their life. You know, there was so much going on in your life at the time, particularly with the diagnosis of your mom, and you mentioned earlier that, you know, a lot of young people, and even you can hide you can become really skillful at hiding what were some of the ways you were hiding, and I'm hoping that any parent listening to the show can start to recognize that behavior in their own child. The number one way I hid was I made good grades. I knew if I made. Good grades. No, one would mess with me. Wow. Number one way. I also developed if you're looking for hints from parents, I developed an ability to have friends with kind of the nerdy kids who friendships with the kind of nerdy kids were making good grades. But not intimate once by intimate friendships were my other group of friends who were the drug addict lunatics. Okay. So I had both. It's like a a became adept wearing a mask, right? It's almost like you're in marketing or PR became very adept at you could call it switch as they say could show people one side of me, and then really be living another. So what I've learned is you judge everyone by their actions. In other words, so forget anything they say, it's where the child is putting their time and their effort their actual actions that determines how they're really doing. So you know, I would be very easy to spot by another addict or an alcoholic. I would say if you have questions it's better to bring someone in and have them. Us do a sit down with someone and talk to them and kind of see where they're really at because people in the industry and know, all the risks wants everything to look for was apparent really doesn't. Plus, the parent has the enormous problem when I say it's a problem of loving that child. What we see? So commonly as people literally will love the addict to death happens all the time every day. You know, and and that's.

"To you by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Paul McCartney bringing us back. It's six seventeen here on this Friday evening jazzy Stansky, Eddie Coleman guy here on the fan. Hey, seven seven hundred thirty seven sixty six sixty six Paul McCartney favorite. Now, John Lennon was probably my favorite. He really was. Atlanta had great songwriting skills. I feel like McCarthy had the best voice. And it's crazy cmec. You know, my father's favorite Beatles. George Harrison a lot of people like choice. I would argue George had the best solo album out of any all things must pass might be the best album. It is true. Then I would say John had the best Christmas song out of all. That's a better. Yeah. But Paul probably had the best solo career longevity. Doesn't like Ringo. And an underrated drama, by the way. Let's say chased him. Chris johnson. What's up? Guy with avenue. Komi you sound just like Chris more. We started the show. Now. Left off. I don't know if you'll recruit more looks like you that'd be a little weird. No, I see Chris. Building. I'm going to take a picture. I may record it. And you guys could be the judge of that. Okay. You just ruined by. But that's. Like talking to him about the dodgers, actually, not gonna trade a lot of prospect Manley charter to get stand. They're gonna get Harper. That's why did this move for Harper. I know why the Yankee fans like you're ready to stand after one backhoe season. They they're still rape. Rush to judgment. They wanna get rid of stand. He's not going anywhere. What all this talk about gonna dot Chris. And I think it's the idea of Giancarlo Stanton not being able to perform here. Long term look. He's too good a player Eddie he's going to hate. But it's about the fit you think about these Yankee team with all the right handed power that they have they have their answer to Giancarlo Stanton. His name is Aaron judge. That's what I look at Harper. If indeed the dodgers were in on Stanton. I don't think that they are. But if they were I'd be all for nothing. The thing. That's always bothered me about standing when he was a Marlin and any Yankee was just listen you always have to make adjustments in this game. And the adjustments were slow a lotta times with him when they finally they would come and he'd go on tears, but it was always slow, and I think it was the same this year. I know he ended up with thirty eight home runs, but now impacts how much impacted you. And I both stand could hit fifty five home runs. He win the MVP. And it will mean nothing to the Yankee fan. Unless he produces in October. And I made this comparison. I remember doing 'Send why coming on right after came one of the division series against the Red Sox. He struck out with the bases loaded had a couple of big opportunities fail. Miserably? He doesn't have the persona of Alex Rodriguez. He's formal likable. You know? He's not as aloof. He seems like a happy. Go lucky. You know, God, it's very honored to be a Yankee and doesn't want to you know, make hay. But he's gonna have that Iran label as a hired gun raining MVP in Miami. And until he does it here until he changes the narrative. Yeah. The failure. It has to be postseason. Let's say to red Bank, New Jersey. Jan johnson. What's up, Johnny? Are you going guys? First of all great show JJ when I'm awake. I love your show. I appreciate that guy has some coffee. John. Morning. But I appreciate that Janki fan. But let me tell you your met sponsor so entertaining. I like the Mets just because you're thanks. I appreciate that. Anyway, I have to Yankee infield questions. One is with the injury Didi. Why did they release to raise number two? When do I have to stop worrying gonna trade? Andrew harr. The Theresa was. I think there was a forty move wasn't it. They had to move somebody in the. And not even addity. I just don't think they looked at Tereza is a guy who's gonna be able to fill the void at shortstop. If they don't wanna make up with Manny Machado. They're gonna want to force superior defensive player didn't catch of Ariya Dinka glacier with the Tigers. Galvez? They're going to be looking at those sort of players. I don't think the Yankees had a role for tracing. You saw last year. You know, they sent him down in the minor leagues. He was up and down. I love the bat on the ball. He was a favourite within the courthouse. Look, Ronald traces. This guy's playing every day. I don't think we're gonna see Ronald to raise goes somewhere and have the impact of like just intimidated. Sorry about that. No. I don't think. So. Yeah, you can move on from that. It's not going to happen. Good player. Nice guy. Not happening. Let's sit down to sell Forida Ray next out a foul up. Right. Gaddi love show guys. Appreciate it. Right. What he got big big Yankee fan big glutton Yankee fan been looking at this this agency for two years taking to sign both Machado offer. No that ain't gonna happen. But I think there's a guy and and Stanton needs to go to LA if there if there's a market are in there, and you package bird and one of the young on maybe a little wiser or something like that. And you get back Ballenger. That's just a perfect fits value goes to I you sign hopping lefty bats, you're good to go. The one way if you're the Los Angeles Dodgers, and you're taking that Stanton contract away from the Yankees and the dodgers I'm saying, I'm giving you nothing. I mean, I'm taking that money on taking on that commitment. I'm not giving up Cody Bellinger away villagers leaving A. No exactly is value. How about the room already that the Marlins torn down a trade that would have sent Bellingham Miami for JT, all I think it just goes to show you how wall St. the goal is for the Marlins to try and get like some king's ransom for Raimondo. And that's why I believe Nimmo Rosero would not have been good enough. You're probably right. I mean, I think the way they look at it. He's a generational player out of position where there's a lot of neat or on baseball. And they're going to try to milk this as best they can because they probably felt that they didn't get enough for Stanton. And you wouldn't have traded. Syndergaard furry Modell. Correct. I would not now you can make that move. You looking Wayne how you play exactly how did that. That's the point. I understand it. You can do it. But how do you replace indigo doing that made a week ago? Eddy, the difference between RIA Muto and Ramos is not as significant as the gap between Syndergaard and whoever the band available for free agent pitcher who would it be Dallas? Geico. I think there's far more of a gap between Syndergaard kaikal right now catching I would agree with that. Let's set the Long Island. What's up dead? Hey JJ. Hey, look here, and you guys on the on the drive all having fun. It's been a blast. Yeah. So machado. I think he's a fit in the lineup. Just sandwich. Inbetween judge Stanton. My thing was Machado is once he faced some adversity in New York. I don't know how well he's going to handle it because you know, that nobody is bigger than the pinstripes. That's what it's all about. I think that's fair. Look, he's such a great player. I say this all town Eddie for guys like to share a rod geom- be Piazza bell. John just too good. Like is that good? They're gonna find a way to thrive. They're gonna find a way to shun du I think Machado if he comes here could be a polarizing player. Absolutely. But I think he's going to succeed because he's too good. He's always going to put up numbers, you know, that and he'll handle what comes along. What happened in the playoffs? Obviously, you don't want that. And it's it's a hell of a thing avenue resume thing. The dog is way out of. But you know, what? I mean, he'll he'll get it done. Eventually, he's he's gonna put up numbers as gory player any seed was an absolute blast, my friend. I'm looking forward to doing this again at some point in time on before we get out of here. You're patriots. Will they be playing championships Sunday forget about Gillette, that's island likely. Will you be sitting down somewhere have an ice cold beverage watching your patriots again in the AFC title game? Yes. I'm going to say, yes, I wanna say, yes. For this reason. All right because they're not gonna replace at this point in time to marry his Thomas it tried to get him. Then I could replace Gordon. He's gone. Separation wide receivers. They don't have that. But he'll dump an awful lot of white Michelle and birkhead and everybody else they'll give the passing game going. They'll see it a best. My thanks to Chris bec-, Monaco.
