"They probably because our winning right Five and or 66, all of those. Yeah, they're winning in those things, but I've seen a few giants of that bad. I know people just freaked out over it. But the Dodgers. I mean, that was had to tell Blue Vin Scully thought when he saw those uniforms. Probably And it was on Twitter. Maybe I'll go. Look, he's not getting paid by the Dodgers anymore. Can he be honest? Or would he be like Mr dot? This is great. Interesting to note that those uniforms suck. It's to read this, by the way, Speaking of the rep or another Rams with L. A, Uh Chris Babcock did send me a picture of Molly Molly Molly in Torrico. Nothing is large. I mean, he is large. He was right in the booth next to us. So we just thought he was playing the game right before kickoff. He had a banana. He did to get his potassium up. Oh, good idea. Smart. And then I thought there's contain via street and your ribs re break out there. I wonder because he was on the field, right? I mean, he he was down there watching. He was there for picture. They joined practices. He was there Friday. Yeah, I wonder if contagious went up to Margo's sorry, bro. Didn't mean that contributes was flying around last night. I'm sure his name during their practice game. You have a druid. There wasn't saying anything is probably every time I see that guy I fracture like three more red know exactly. It effectively ended his career He was dead. After that. Well did he get he got fired for that hard, But I thought it was a clean hit. And then the hearing Donald hit there, and I know that's right when he brought his what do you stretch out his thumb grip the ball. Well, that's like, you know, I give Drew Brees a ton of credit because I saw a picture of him standing next to Um Who is it? Well, there's a number. Of course he's standing at the trade lands and one of them Justin Herbert. He was standing next to Herbert and another one. It was like he is so small next to those guys. It's unbelievable. Crazy small next to Chase Daniel in ST ST Daniel is 40 Million Worldwide report. They're all small next to Justin Herbert. GE East Really Real. That was decent. Yeah, they're thinking of Miami. What? Read fast on that guy. By the way, Change Daniels. Give him credit 40 million bucks, and he's held a clipboard basically the whole time. Good for so he was, you know, so great about the joint practice. You can hear the guys talking. Yeah, and Mark Sanchez was a practice. That was Thursday. I fumble Sanchez 30 teams into the USC Trojan. He and Tim Ryan We're like interlocked. I'm like, Oh, no, don dudes. They were talking the entire attack so chase, Daniel said. He came in the league the same years. Maybe he's retired. He's doing TV. I'm still plague I'd ever have to actually play. But I think I've made thirties made 39 million. Look, here's tonight. It's amazing. Because, well, this was 12th year in the NFL Jin Amazing Saudi Games, is he actually Five starts. I think he has five stars. I think he has eight touchdown, seven interceptions. I think they showed his numbers when he came into town, seven perceptions and his career he's made 40 million bucks. But the great thing about him is while all these other guys are going to be like, limping around and have a knee replacements he's going to be 100% find like in everyone played. The game starts faster. That's it His whole career 12 years that's like 39, 38 or $39 million. Well, let's help. I was telling somebody this story and you know it very well. Let's hope that what happened to Kyle Boller isn't happen to him because, remember when Bowler was the Raiders back up? And then he actually had to play and they went. Oh, you can't play And then his career was over because he actually had to play natch. That's the problem. You love a good backup, like James Daniel have to play. Think they change the offense a little bit going from Justin Herbert to him? I don't think so. If he makes the team maybe she was she was shooting his mouth off too much about dirty Sanchez. What if I think they keep Eastern stick or cheese, Daniel. I like the Eastern stick kid. The North Dakota stable. I like like you said That touchdown was nice, Noah. He can't throw. I know he's Daniel can do. Now I know why His name is Eastern stick. That's the only throw he can make is a stick. Oh, yeah, It's just wrong. Wrong, man. Alright, no arm Judge. No are If you miss Pop starts the trade land to the performance of the 40 Niners will give you that Kyle Shanahan is going to join us at one o'clock. "I love The first day of summer this summer solstice and the longest day of the year and to have the longest day of the year. Come on Father's Day. How cool was that was the last time that happened? I got to go back to. I got to give credit. To your family, because that's awesome to have the Senate. Well, jersey Mike's I don't know why I and Nic Cage. You're actually you know what? You know What? Because Because Miyoko turned Havana Mariucci's over. Jesus God, Marucci. Yeah, thank okay. He's like Anne coached the 49 ers. No, that's not the same guy. That's Mary. You cheeky This is Meru cheese. Come on, get different anyway. Uh, he does. He does, Steve. Well, that's that's one of the great things about your kids getting older as they do know what you want, you know, and it's great. Getting cards like I got a card from Georgia made me cry on Saturday, but as we're going to the game, but It was just like I just wanted to hang out and I wanted to do two things. I wanted to do brunch and I want to go to a ball game, and it's like, okay, that's what we're gonna do like. It's awesome, right? Yeah, no offense, like families and everything, But there's certain things in certain holidays. You're forced to do certain things, and they just turn it over to you and then totally. It's an obligation to like. I love my daughters, and I wish I kept. I kept looking about the driveway like they're gonna pull off any minute here, Right Like the face time they just semi from their apartment that was done, like a week or a really, really good to come home, right? He never did. But had they been here? It would have been entirely different. Dad, you're getting dressed up for fresh favorite act. You're abroad that where Nick is regarded the yard. We're going to watch Paul. We're gonna watch baseball, basketball, drink beers, and we're going to eat jersey. Mike's that's going to be it. That was perfect. But also he, you know, they also got to get the things they like. You sure? And Derek and Nick Love Bri. They love pepperoni and brie. It is a tradition that he had to go out and get debris. He got the beers in the fridge and the frozen mugs. I mean, come on their the frozen mugs. Come on the market That is a deal changer and it shot I drank three beers yesterday for the first love frozen bugs. Man could always frozen frosty bugs. I gotta have one more. Oh, that's a lot of frosting that is so underrated to put the the mug in the freezer. Yeah, People don't think about it, but it's It's like, you know, if somebody hands you a glass versus you know, cold glass. Or if you make a martini is gonna be a cold glass like because you can suck down a few. And not even like doing shots of vodka. Yeah, warm vodka. It's like gasoline. You do gold vodka sucky. Yeah, very nice. It's totally different. Oh, man. Yeah, That's Yeah. You did it, right. This is funny that we drank a lot of you and I were wondering are we gonna do when we go to England only went with the Raiders were there. We're gonna drink that. You know, warm syrup they serve and in And pubs there, But we didn't I don't think I had one warm beer. They were all cold or they were. You know, they were fine. And there were a lot of stele our toes. I'm thinking we're going to do stellar Wa And we're going to the Brits are going to look down on us. This is terrible. You should probably do that in the fourth of July to snub them. King George, This is the way we drink. Alright, Ale here, But anyway, it was a good day yesterday. Good weekend and nice 12 out of three. It was fantastic. They only lost the game I went to, but that's okay. I'm not gonna blame it on you. That's still not going to believe in it. Oh, I forgot to tell you ask, examine up land and research. I like Greece. Hoskins come on. He has problems at the number one bag, though. Yeah, he does a great there, you know, although, although I will say two great things were a lot of the great things. We had great seats. It was fun. The day was sunny. There were more people than there was even two weeks before. I think we're gonna have a full house for the ace. We can get into that later, there might on Friday. I think I think so. My it's ramping up and people are getting better at it, and it's you know, it's a process, but Two things at the game. A as I'm walking down to my seat. Chris Babcock, Chris Babcock, citing and we discussed you a few years are ringing on Saturday. I'm well aware. Get an update on Babs. Every breakfast lunch dinner. He's already sent me a picture to frosty mugs from his freezer. Buried bags are unknown. I should have known. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, that's true. And then we're going to have Kevin Franzen on on at 12 30 today, and so they want me to read you all the checks. I got for afraid. I'm sure there's a billion is to help other folks. You know what's amazing So he's down in the Philly? Yeah, and they're different. In the way they present a game. I listen to their, uh, what day was it Saturday? So Friday night price on the ball that Lamont way Junior mix off the cars. He didn't come out of the box at all. No. Zero None. Zero good duty. Its all timed out. He gave me the data, and we put it on Peacock pregame. He stood there for 1.8 seconds. He got to second base in 8.4. But the beautiful thing I'm listening to Franny do the game on Saturday, and Bryce comes up in the top of the first and they go, right, Adam right away. They give all the data. It's just different in Philadelphia and a Chinese A and the play by play guy who's the new Harry Kallis there in Philly does a good job, he said. And all Bryce would do is give credit to Lamont way, Junior He didn't acknowledge that he stood there and watched it for what Now? Bryce did miss the last game in l A. You know whether he had Kershaw, I just I don't think he did. He's got a lower back tightness, so he did bust his ass on Saturday to get to second base, so it's there for them, but they're a couple times in the outfield over the weekend. Right that he just kind of gliding here is his back, right? Or is he just occasionally dog it and, you know, go back to when Dusty had to deal with them and Remember Matt Williams pulled him right off the field. I mean, there were times said he does give you that vibe that I'm too cool to bust it. Ricky did that you know in the infield because I didn't want to pop a hammy Barry did that. I mean, they were the one time very pop the ball up. It looked like it was going to go file behind the plate. I wonder it landed foul but bad. I think it may have even landed fair. I'm not sure. But he got grief for not running that out. So sometimes The big Stars are a little too cool for that, and Bryce has got a little bit in his game, but we'll get Franny's take on it. Philadelphia is not a good baseball team right now, and I'm not sure if they can become one. Yeah, this year. Yeah, He's awesome Been. We were over at Momo's, and it looked like it was, you know, nothing had ever happened. So I FaceTime because I wanted to yell, summoned Bryce Harper. So I flip my kid a ball. And so, he said, he's a big Vegas nights fanelle something like that at him. So They got those nets up now and you got to kind of There's a little bit of a gap there and he was playing catch. And sure enough, I yelled Hey, Bryce. How bout them nights and he turned around, smiled and flip the ball. I gotta give it to for any now. What are you going to do with that ball? You're gonna sell that? Is that part of the Jordan? No. He's got George one college fun. I got to show you this pile. It's ridiculous. He he probably has 50 or more major league balls from whether the spring training World Series Giants Games A's games. He used to be really cute. Not so much anymore. But when he was like 12 12. Yeah, he made you cry on his father's day. He did it was it was him some slack. It was he like your kids get older and they start to get it rather than just like you're the best.

"When he came to the Raiders. He shut it down, not only in games, he would not practice. And then it showed up in his play on Sunday, he went to New England and he had a different perspective. He did practice because they demanded that so a lot of times you change your point of view based on what do I have to work with Mattie Ryan for I know him, you know, But if you go to a new team, you have to practice but the one major negative That I heard from people in the league was he's not gonna practice. He's just going to show up and play and well, he knows his body doesn't want to. He's got a hamstring. You don't want to be running a lot of routes that may have been a problem that he had. Last year, and, you know certain guys know when it's time to go with a bell rings. It's time to go. We're not. He only has so many bullets left in that body, and he's not going to use them up, you know, and in practice, But you do have to do you know when you go to a new team. And you're trying to build rhythm with a new quarterback at a new passing game. You have to practice so, but that was the only thing I ever really heard about him in a negative way was he's not going to practice. He's not going to work on Wednesday or Thursday, maybe a little bit on Friday night on Saturday. And by Sunday at one, he'll go play. Yeah, by the way, just looked it up while you were mentioned in the beginning. As far as 11 personnel, the 40 Niners do that the third fewest In the league between behind Minnesota and Tennessee, ironically enough at 44%, but it is their number one grouping 33% of the time. They're in 21 personnel, which is too wide receivers like you said with You check on the field, so 44% of the time, third fewest doing the three wide receiver thing, But I would still say this. I don't know where anything is with Zach Ertz haven't heard one thing, but I certainly would still stick my nose in that and I know he makes eight million bucks and that would still be tough, but it's not 15. And so if you're still looking for, uh, somebody to pick up the other guy was thinking of two because I read this yesterday, and he's not Julio Jones. But Jamison Carl has a nice veteran. He can play in the slot, which is something they potentially need. And he might get released by the Jets. So I don't I don't mind that guy would be a bad one. Yeah, I'm gonna release him. Are they going to try to trade and what he's doing is he's holding out for a new contract. I mean, he's the kind of guy you try to move. A lot of you're not going to release sack urge. Or Jamison. Crowder is a good player for a while there last year, he was the he was the Jets by far best target. He got hurt to get a hamstring injury going into the 40 Niners game never played, but he's the classic slot. Receiver. I think with him you're going to kind of be and you're not going to have to give up as much to get him as Julio. But he wants a contract. So when you're dealing with guys that want contracts Then we just said no to Julio because we can't afford them, You know, and I love Zach Ertz. I loved him. I saw him in Monte Vista sophomore year playing for Chris Babcock and Uh, you know Bergman. Craig Bergman was the head coach then and You know the brand Jones was on the staff that year just took him as a special project. Remember him, telling me as a sophomore year This guy is going to be a Pro bowl tight end. The NFL is going to be great, and he was and then at Stanford the way they used them, especially in the red zone. Terrific player. He doesn't block but he's a willing blocker. I think it became here he would block So, Yeah, I'm on board a boat. Those guys. There are other guys that are still out there. Melvin Ingram. There's some good edge rushers that are out there as well as you can get. Justin Houston is gonna force in his career. Now he's older, but you know he would put him in a sub package. He also has a powerful run player where Maybe you don't use them the sub package as much, but I think that you're almost at the stage shot. If you're saying no to Julio, How do you say yes to the other guys because you got the same obstacles with those guys and maybe even more, although obviously Julio, I don't know if he's going to redo his contract or what he's doing, but they did have to redo Ryan Tannehill's deal. Uh, to get him so they did do that, But on your wish, last time, totally on board with both those guys as football players, But you know, there's a hard cap in this league and you have to say no. And maybe for the same reason just said no to Julio. You'd have to say no to Jamison Crowder and Mrs urged, I'm gonna break your heart but may be hard to bring him home. Yeah, I would love to come back and play for the 40 Niners. That's for sure. And it's been no secret that Kyle's been trying to get a second tight end on the field. They did it, of course with re that didn't work out as much because of the injuries. But like you said, You know the the same obstacle remains because I think they'd love to have Zacher Jamison Crowder, I think would be a perfect complement because you can play in the slot with this team. But Earth is at $8.5 million. And Jamison Crowder is just over 10. So if you said no, and I know that's less than Julio Jones 15. But if you're going to say no to Julio Jones at 15 and Crowder's only got one more year left on his deal. Are you going to say? Yes, the Crowder at 10. I did. I think that's just too rich they'd have and what's the What's the problem? Both of those guys are having A crowder with the people in Florham Park that predate even Saleh and his group Joe Douglas. It's a little bit with your Douglas and obviously what's going on with Zach and Howie Roseman. I mean, they It sounds like they are really contentious, Really, But I'm not sure if it's Aaron Rodgers Green Bay situation. And both of those reasons that we're even talking about those guys being traded his finances, they want new contracts..

Aaron Rodgers Mattie Ryan Melvin Ingram Jamison Crowder Zach Howie Roseman Craig Bergman Justin Houston Ryan Tannehill Chris Babcock Florham Park 44% Zach Ertz Jamison Carl $8.5 million 33% Wednesday Friday night Thursday Julio

"Fissile in about 10 minutes. So where's tonight? Against the bucks? By the way, How is this gonna work on TV tonight? I need to know I was just gonna text my boss Dave Bernstein. S so we have a We call the main channel, which is NBC Sports Bay Area. And then we have the plus channel. Which is where the overflow goes to so to speak. So I was just going to text. Are the Giants on the main channel or the Warriors. Other main channel and the other thing that makes the worriers bucks game interesting is TNT. His broadcasting the game as well. Are they not on a Tuesday night? I think they are. So we could have two warrior broadcasts and giants and the game that you're gonna be at which we're all gonna be watching to see if The foul ball comes screaming into your beer. Off the bed a match, Chapman. It would be a good matchup. Kershaw That's Chapman. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. What is this time? Kershaw pitched, you know, Oakland? You were there right with yours? Yeah, trying to think when that was Have you had too many beers. Let's see. Well, actually last year we did have we did go West on West last year. So did last year. Kershaw pitch against the A's last year. Kershaw the back issues here, and I remember him pitching against the A's. You also look like the Giants around the main channel. Okay. Babs knows everything. Chris Babcock knows things. I don't even know what was he texting? You know? As you know that it must be. He went to his excellent DVR. Yes. So it'll be. It's a busy night. It'll be a busy night. See here. Dude, Sharkey's playing the night. It means pro Day comes out. Yeah, I think the Yeah, the warriors around the main channel. Try answer on the The plus you channel. In pictures Should you see about ratings tonight? Then you got to you and T have divided up the warrior ratings as well. So interesting. He didn't pitch against the A's last year curse shall let me see what he's got. And 19. Yeah, man. He's pitched against the A's in a while. Didn't pitch against him in 19. I don't know. I'm sure this is compelling. You were probably there. The last time when you took travel was George the last time when you took him to see Where we going? CO fax? Uh Yep, 2000 and 18 88 18. Fuchsia. That's the last time the fish at Oakland Six innings. I got it right here. Six hits, two earned. No dissension. No decision eventually won by the age 3 to 2. He's posted a 1.71 year Ray and three career starts in Oakland four. Ernie's in 21 Innings of work So which side of the bay is he better on? It is. Dastardly is he's been to the Giants all these years, especially Whatever you want to name that park in the China Basin. It's changed many names throughout his follow fame career. The 171 has to be better in Oakland and in Oakland, he's facing a designated hitter every time he comes in. That's true. I see what he's got for his house. Yeah, that's pretty good. 171. It's pretty good. Today's baseball I mean, today's baseball that's like a 71, right exactly. Yeah, He's Ah, He's not bad. I'll get his career. Don't get his career splits here in the second last night, as far as last night goes tatty society, which you got into the conversation about how that could affect things, and we should find out soon at some point today, Or maybe not. In terms of how long he is out, but just you know it. Look, we're early. We're real early, but just assessment they can. I think we jump to the conclusion that they can hit they did last year if they're going to stay healthy. I think they can be similar to that way. Obviously, we don't know, pitching the pitching to a large extent. But after that blow up the first game, the bullpen has been pretty good and look DeSclafani for a four starter last night. If you just take that into consideration, if Look if they're gonna get that, at the de siecle funny this year as a four started something similar, Rudy showed last night that's encouraging. Disco. Tony D. Was pretty good in Cincinnati in 2019 last year. He was not. He was not good, but he was good a few years ago. You know, he when he was in the fifth inning, what he was talking about when he blew away Hosmer with the high fastball, And then he came back and got Tommy Pham was a tiny fans, a good fastball hitter. Um, you know, he s so he he could Aaron Sanchez, I think is the is the wild card here. But Alex, what is a good picture? He is funky, eh? Maybe a little too funky, And that's why you know why do you have a back injury? Because you contort your body like that constantly. It's kind of like, you know, Chris sale So I think they're you know they're they're going to hit home runs because that's the way the lineup is built. It's heavy, right handed left handed, depending on the opponent's starter. The bullpen is gonna be good. With the exception of the the bottom of the eighth in the bottom of the chance in Seattle on opening night. It's been very good. They're still slappy defensively, and I think that's you know, ultimately have to be able to compete with the big boys in the National League West. The touch Easton injury notwithstanding. Davis were sloppy last night. The ball in the gap, you know, profile head What is Austin Slater doing there? Where is he? Where's he going? He's running direct line to the ball. And then I guess maybe because you bond And you bond was not in initially. You know? Yes. Was in right and Slater was in center, so I don't know how good Slater is defensively. What is he, a left fielder, a center fielder, right fielder? He may be a hitter, You know, I think there's an opportunity for him. But that ball's got to be caught. And then the play crime made up the middle. Sloppy. Longoria made it aired third base. That was weird, but he makes a good place. Also moving around on the shift. Where he was playing with second base position. So there They're just hang in and don't get buried early in the year. I think they're you know, they're about a 500 team, maybe a little better. And then you know, we'll see what the San Diego injuries so it's too early to make any wild proclamations. But His team's gonna whack some home runs. I mean, that's in nine already for the first game to the second game, none that third game and then two more. Last night and you're doing it involved Parks that air talked to leave. Seattle and San Diego have no San Diego's moved the fences and over the years so They're gonna hang around. Yeah, I just, You know, don't don't get married early in the year, which I don't think they will. And then you know when the Dodgers when when the Dodgers come to the Bay Area, and don't go to Oakland at the first time that's gonna happen is May 21. And then I think you'll have a real good assessment because then you're about 40 games into the year and you'll be able to really tell what you got. But I think so far, you know, Dennis Green would say they are who we thought they were little leaky defensively, but they'd field in outfield. Pitching has been okay in the starting rotation. Guzman's been good. Johnny was just okay. And then you know the bullpens been good by and large. Jake McGee was a little bit of a wild ride last night. Took him a long time. Richie was texting me all during the nineties. You ever gonna throw the ball? How long.

Time for some foreplay with Papa in line after Diggler four chunks of audio that really get you going, I have a gift and I am trying to not be selfish about it, but to use it. On KNBR 1045 Inch succeed, Be sports leader. All right. This is pretty funny. We just talked about Giants fan fest in the first guest of fan fest was with Willard last night at six o'clock, and that was my cue. Strunsky. So They got into a conversation about Thomas Stella's Walk off home run and people you could hear lost. L use that. Excuse me? Yes. Use that F word, But he wasn't mad because of the lost L A walk off. This is what he was so upset about. Somebody asked me about it. Someone, actually, I don't know. I think I got a thing. I got given a heads up from one of our guys that somebody may be asking me that it was caught that out, saying the F word on TV and I'm like I was like, Buddy, you try and not say the F word after getting hit in the mouth with a 100 mile an hour fall off the wall. It was like It caught me by surprise because I looked up and it hit like the bottom of one of those ridges. That's above that line and your shot straight down into my teeth. And I guess I'm like, so not only do we lose on a walk off home run What That ball happens to also hit me in the mouth. E didn't know that I got to go back and watch that come What do you think? Trevor Gott said he'd get up again. Which other give that up. Forget hitting him. I thought I had the worst weekend of my life against the age. And then this, Tommy lost Ella, who will be in a shortly and then a giant. Just pick me under. S so what happened? He as he crashed the wall trying to pull it back. Yeah, he will know he went up to it and then you know, it obviously hit that line over the line and so that, But then it careened down off of some angle, he said or off something that was up there and hit him straight in the mouth. So it came straight down and whacked him in the mouth and everybody's all hit him in the mouth. Yeah, And so everybody was saying that the F bomb because because you could clearly hear it. But everybody thought that the F bomb because of Estella hit the walk off he f bomb because the ball ricocheted down and hit him straight in the mouth right in the teeth. That's why I was upset so I could see that would be a problem. I didn't know that he was a giant's post that night. I don't remember ever seeing that you I don't get it. Yeah, I watched it. I mean, you could see it. You just go straight down and hit above the line and then it's like, he said. It hit some kind of whatever was up there, and it just jetted right down and whacked him in the mouth. So that's why he was F bombing, which he didn't have me that explanation for May. If whatever if Mom didn't offend me, We got to save that for timing the Stella when you're right, you're gonna play that play that for him. Staying with the Giants Brandon Crawford was on this morning is part of fan fest with Murph and Mac. And while everybody's talking about the Dodgers and the Padres, he reminds everybody but they that they were not the favorites when they won. World Syriza multiple word series. I mean, they're obviously two. Very, very well equipped. Teams are everywhere. They're two good teams that have a lot of good. A lot of good players on him. They both, um added some big pieces. This also is going to make him even better. Um And then I'd be lying if I said they were going to be, uh, tested to get by. But, um, I think in the years that that you mentioned where we where we won championships, were never the favorite going into the season. So, um, I think I think you know, as the Giants we need to just worry about what we're doing on the field and, um, try to get As good as we can be and be as good of a team as we can be Tonto to go out there and compete against those guys Bond not not worry so much about them right now and just just focus on ourselves. I respect the opinion. I could never do that. But I respect his opinion. He's a professional. Yes, I would watch. The Dodgers are screwed. Now He's not going to say that. You see, that would be me. I listen to that whole interview was very interesting elsewhere, said he doesn't feel like he's lost anything at all at age 34 shortstop But the highlight because I I know so much about it, but I don't really hear him. Talk about his high school football days at Foothill High School, Unpleasant 10 and how he led up Chris Babcock in the Mountain Vista High School Mustangs. Hey, said he threw for like 315 yards and that came or something and had like Not that many completions. So he was throwing place down the field. I gotta shit years. I did one of those games when Sean Mannion Was the quarterback. Now he's backing up Kirk cousins, and you play for his dad. Breath brain. You must have been just before then, right? He was born in 87. So what are we talking about? Three or four? I'd love to see video that wouldn't you have about your bad Chris Babcock has got everything. I'm gonna send me that He's got the I texted him. What was Crawford Crawford's decision? You have to let you guys up? Nothing. I mean, he's like the greatest texture tweets all the time. And then you say grand from one another and radio talking about his win over MHS this morning and nothing back. I thought I'd give you the whole story offered as a quarterback. He's probably looking for rolling out to his Anything about Crawford is he throws right handed, obviously, but he swings the bat left handed. I think he ever had any ma homies in him or use the left hand if you imagine as well as he rolls out. Could you imagine running Sprint right option in high school with Brandon Crawford is the quarterback that kind of armed exactly a hose like you step it in the hole and thrown across the body. Could you imagine that like this? Like you said. He said he didn't believe that many throws. He's just throwing 80 yard bombs down the field. It's pretty core sloppy tackling by the Mustang. Could me Oh, look at you. Hear antagonizing so that he gets back to you. I think I'm kidding. I'm trying to get to respond. I find another Crawford in high school and I didn't see the video. I want to see that. Right number three LeBron actually eyes defending the Warriors. He was asked if the Nets of the best collection of firepower on one roster he's ever seen..

"I mean, he just wasn't sound. Jamaica. Ryan's is the new 40 Niner defensive coordinator. He obviously knows about when he was sounded unsound because he played right behind him is a stack linebacker in the hay. No, the plane of the play calling what the front was supposed to do. So if anybody's got intel on JJ Watt, it's D'Amico. Uh, the injuries were the injuries. You could craft a contract to protect you. Their whole have other suitors, obviously, so I think he wants to get a ring and get out of Houston. What's going on with ownership there and their front office, But Well, ask yourself, you know, I have appreciated JJ's immense ability special, especially You know the sack totals that he had 20.5 when he played five technique. He wasn't even he was he was covered up. He was not the uncovered guy on the line. He played D Cat D tackle a lot here he would be I think you could move inside in the sub package and certainly plays the bass end. But I do have reservations about just how sound he is in his ability. Be good teammate and you know for us to quarterback and play the run the way it's supposed to be played in that. Just freelance, but what we get an idea from Cosell. I haven't started them yet. I do, you know, watching Stafford and watch and play a lot this year. I did. Kind of stumble onto harmonies, freakish ability. I mean that deflection ahead against Matthew Stafford on Thanksgiving Day was just what he could do. He's like an elite shot blocker that can Blocked the shot and then take it up the floor and make the play. I mean, you chip that ball right out out of Stafford Sand and pick 16 and ran back the other way. So, you know, he's definitely a splash player. But is he just a situational pass rusher at this stage of his career? But I don't know what I haven't studied Pittsburgh's salary cap, but they run that 34 and he's got his brother on that team. I could see him. If Pittsburgh was interested. I could see him. Going there. I want to play with his brother. But who knows? You know, I don't know if he wants one more contract. He's 32. I don't know his financial situation. Does he want to just go to the highest bidder? Is he sick of losing? I mean, nobody knows that Unless they talk to me, we all assume everybody wants to win. Does J. J Watt want to get one more big contract? I mean, I don't know. I don't blame him either way, But I don't know what he wants. Didn't wanna play with his brother. I don't know. I don't know how important it is to him. So you're getting at me for speaking for Tim. It's Tim. That just goes underground. He's up in Idaho. Is that where he is? He just sent me a text. You just explained who it was from. So he sent me a text that was sent to him from somebody else. I thought he made a mistake. He's the worst texter. Jimmy Garoppolo is like, you know, he's there. He's the best texture. You're not very good. You're kind of your texture. I'm trying to think of the best texture. Right? Chris Babcock. You get him from Babs. She's Yeah, she's good. So he sends me one doing well, you two are the best tool in the NFL period he's talking about. You know, me and Tim and You're gonna trade for watch it anyway, going out of our quarterback ready? So I thought he made a mistake, but that he I'm not gonna say who sent the text, But it was somebody we vote No on the lead, so So don't blame me for Tim. Tim Flannery goes off the grid, Jim. Why It goes completely off the grid. So It was me that had to come in and be hey was Cyrano. He was telling me what to say. Tim is the best analyst in the NFL. Tim Ryan is the best analyst in the NFL. Tim Ryan is the most prepared person I've ever worked for. My crew calls them all. What do you say? Oh, sorry, Jim. Tim Reid is the most prepared. Do you ever wanna make definite statements like when you say the best or you know those kind of things? You got to be careful because it doesn't offend me. But one of that you're talking about a booth by taking it. We're taking it personally, like maybe a broadcast. No, but maybe somebody who you've worked with in the past, Reggie Jackson will take it personally. Reggie was the least prepared. Right. Reggie walked in with 563 home runs and said, I'm Reginald Martinez Jackson. You know, Reggie would completely see the best thing where we got the AIDS gave notes before every game. Reggie would highlight every single thing on the game note. It was like he spray painted the game like a highlighter. I'm like, Reggie the ideas tol pick a couple of things out here. Reggie's a genius. 160. Thank you. Yeah. So, you know, I'm just kidding, Reggie. Preparing was not kidding. Because it's gonna get back to you know, I gotta say six and cars. Get back to the show on Tommy Lasorda Right after we got off the area texted back to come out, so he did. No. Who would be the second most prepared person I've ever worked with you talking just damaged by far, um Trick. Oh, I would say, very prepared to be. There's a lot of time and link. We're always prepared. I'm just saying Tim is like an honorary member. The coaching steps. What I was Yeah, but I was driving at. Yeah, he goes there You are the most prepared Person I've ever done four hours of radio. That's fair enough because you're the only person that video Here. I was threatened around like a peacock. I love you like a brother. I liked him. Right? And I love Tim. Right, But I love John. Is that enough for you, John? Yeah, That's enough. You said Stop it. You said it on TV, too. I was very impressed. I kept rewinding to get our people. Did you hear what he said? He Joe's me. What did I say? You called me unattractive. But then you thought it was me. I can't remember exactly how you said it. See you basically that I had a face for radio, right? You make fun with the people I love. That's a good point. That's that's true, because if you don't do it Guess who's coming out of 1 15 Ready? Just text you the best looking partner I've ever had a grant Lippman got to get that big from Oh, yeah. We gotta go Pull that We've got to get that big. Cause I can't remember exactly what you said. You ultimately choose chose me. But you're basically in some way, shape or form. He called me ugly, which again does not offend me. But then you didn't. Maybe I said Grant was more striking. Looking for something I did not say. I never used those words. Those are ugly words. I did not. I just said don't score job. Yes, exactly. I have a fragile ego. You understand the plastic surgery. And you had that battering ram? Take it out of your foreign. Yeah, much, boy. People gotta see that's true. I gotta send out a picture of that I did. I'd like a third horn coming out of my head over the last year, And finally I went to the What did the doctor and he cut it out of there? Jeez, man, but over the rough couple of weeks, right, look terrible. I got two black guys. That other thing that was crazy. Holder has directed the pole. So we get into that coming up. "Unite Greg, Papa and John Lund. Continue here. Them on your Google home. Smart speaker by saying play, Okay, NPR. Friends Mike Pereira, and about 10 55. He had a great tweet yesterday where after he had finished, he asked if he was gay. He thought to himself. He's gonna watch the next game or is he gonna sit on the beach and drink vodka? And I think, sit on the beach and drank vodka is probably What he did, but we'll find out in about 10 55 carnal, eternal 11 30. The lawyers sweep the weekend in very different fashion. They come back against the Clippers they hold on against the Raptors. Steph was really good in one game and struggled in the Next to We'll get into that and get into the warriors at the 10 game Mark and then our pal Dante Whitner is going to join us to talk everything he saw about the playoffs. Plus, he's going to be far more interested in what happens tonight. Uh, yes. The Buckeyes in the Crimson died, and I'm gonna shoot again because Dante is from the Ohio State University. But I think in this sake of equal time because we don't care who wins this game tonight. I'll be watching for the draft eligible. Certainly think I'm gonna shoot an email to our friend Eli Gold, the voice of the Alabama Crimson tide and maybe get him on. Maybe right after Dante me, Jalen Waddle. He's the one guy on their chain that I thought was possibly I thought, you know, I just Sherry Judy's just another. Level and he proved out to be really underwhelming as a rookie, but I'll get better, but I got bottle was maybe better than him. They get Jalen waddled back off the ankle injury along with Devante Smith. I mean, if your state You're worried about it. I thought Jalen Ronald heading into the year. John was a better wide receiver. But how they gotta stop Alabama from scoring. Their offense is incredible. Yeah, the only I think the only chance they have is if Justin Fields is what he was against Clemson. Me. That's why he has to be. I mean, they both got great offensive players, but What Alabama like you said has is unbelievable. Plus, I know this is boring to talk about for fans, but There's probably five or six offensive lineman between Alabama Ohio State, They're gonna go say top. There always is great this year old. These offensive lines are really good. So Something to look for tonight for? Yeah, There's so much talent on the field tonight. I'm excited. I love that. We get six games over the weekend, and then we get a national championship on Monday. It's amazing. I think it's shit without question. The three best days of football viewing ever. I mean to have three Playoff games and Saturday come back with three more on Sunday and then on Monday in a roll out a BCS national championship game, College football and I'm the college football season's weird but these clean chemical the argument. These are not the two best teams. Especially after what Ohio State did to Clemson. So in Alabama's just every year, you think that's the best Alabama team I've ever seen. And now this team with Mack Jones a quarterback, and now she Harris to run cross check with a huge piece on him over the weekend in the Chronicle. D telling him and he's got his far is yards from scrimmage. He's passed him all. Shaun Alexander, Bobby Humphrey, Mark Ingram, Derrick Henry Trent Richardson T. J. Yeldon. He sees the He's the best running back in the history of Alabama. I'm not leaving, you know, getting going back to when he was younger Chess. Jacobs was a better player out of the adult translate into the NFL. But natural Harris is really matured and becoming a big part. So we'll be watching him. He's a bear you guy from any act. Last game, Chris Babcock and the money Vista Mustang. Shut him down. Kinda. They beat him, but it was it was a shootout, but anyway Um So did you watch the Nickelodeon broadcast it all? Yes. Did you get slimed? You know my seat to watch. You know what's interesting about it. I didn't have any idea. Error. At least I had for gotten, and then George comes over and he was watching it on his phone, and he was laughing. They said, What do you watch? And he said, I'm watching the broadcast on Nickelodeon. So we threw it on. And first of all, I thought that no eagle And especially Nate Burleson were so good because obviously it's a totally different audience and make references. So when something happens, it's pretty elementary. What you say, and they're making references like well, It's like it. Recess or it's like when you have detention or like and then the slime touchdowns and the little Sheldon coming up When you know, though, it's offsides. What does that mean? I mean, I think it's genius. I don't know how much it'll help. I don't know what the ratings will be on it, but you know for for kids teaches them the game. I don't know if it'll end up working, but I thought it was. It was a pretty good idea. And I thought it was kind of funny, too. Who was the young lady that was in the middle of no ego? And Nate Burleson? She on the entire game, or just the one part that I watched, you know, she was on the whole time except for half time in the you know, they were kind of breaking down what was happening, But I think she was probably some Nickelodeon personality that they some of the kids relate to. I didn't mean she obviously didn't have much, but it was. I mean, I thought it was pretty ingenious to give it a shot, Would you? Yeah, they're trying to grow an audience there. Which tells you that the NFL is worried about you know, young people aren't playing football out of high school programs getting scrapped and Because of the concussion situation. It's just you got to reach out to him in a younger way. If they're not going to actually gonna be playing it so that they talked about it a lot. And you know, Sean Payton got slimed after they won the game, and there was a lot of fun elements to it. The bottom line is I don't know if you saw the numbers, but NFL ratings were down. They were down a lot this year 7%. Some of the shows were down more. The only time I can recall the ratings going down was the 2016 year, and it also spilled in 17. The presidential election was a big part of that, Colin capper, Nick and him demonstrating of like it or not, people, the ratings went down. I don't know why they went down this year. You would think that they would go up. In light of our all you know, quarantine, less people. The stadium I don't know why I'm in the N B. A. You could have an understanding why the numbers went down. Baseball stood well compared to the NBA, but football's got to be a concern. My football one down the one thing I would ask Mike Pereira..

"Of the football, I think they got a chance in this one. And I think they've got a chance to win. Yeah, you know and go out and be competitive. Protect the ball like you said, and build on last week. Offense and defense Special teams. You got to get better, but you just play just play football. You haven't really You have nothing to lose. Go on. Have some fun. This is the last game of the season. I tell you, the off season is a lot easier. It feels a lot better if you go into it coming off of a win. Yeah, it in. Look, it's gonna be tough, because if I'm Seattle, I'm going to say I'm going to stop the running like CJ better beat me last week. They were able to run the football against Arizona. CJ could be a complementary player and he didn't have to force the ball down the field and commit turnovers. Seattle watched the tape and said, Look, they're not gonna beat us that way. Gonna try to stop the run. If they can run it, they could do the things they did last week. They can have a similar game plan. But I have I have a feeling that Seattle who by the way over the last five games, only given up 12 points per game, thanks to our good friend Chris Babcock, for for Breaking that whole thing down. I'm gonna try to stop the run and have C J beat him. If the night has come, run, they can stay in this thing. Well, guys get stuff. It's been a real pleasure working with you guys. Throughout this year, you guys were as good as it gets, and always prepared. Always insightful. I really enjoyed it. "Then we had back to back drives, which ended the game. Welcome back to Britain. Gold wrapped Larry Krueger channel on Dennis Brown after nine or football on the sports leader. Taking some of your calls here, date away can be our, um, John, you were you and I were were e I guess either mentioned are attached on the tweet. That says the 40 minutes have gone seven straight games without an explosive run. They've got 196 rushing attempts without an explosive run. It's defined as a run of 20 plus yards. And really, you know, this is where football is all tied together, and they don't you know, during the Harbaugh era they had Ted Ginn. You know, Bill Walsh brought in Ronaldo, Nehemiah. It wasn't because he loved track and field. Okay? The Niners last year and you know had in the last couple years have had marquees Goodwin. They don't have a deep threat. Not that it would matter because they really, I mean, I you potentially could be that, but they don't really have a true stretch The field take the top off the defense burner. And they don't have a quarterback who's got arm strength, so you don't have to defend that. And it's all about defending the entire the entire width and length of the field. But you don't have to do that against foreigners because they don't have a receiver that can beat you deep and then on the quarterback, If you do get beat deep that can actually get it there without it hanging in the air and giving you plenty of time. To recover and make a play on the ball. So no deep threat means everybody is leaning forward. And if you watch the all 22 if you don't you should, um you'll see, you'll see what it looks like. And when you have get everybody leaning forward And everybody's thinking I can't get beat over the top. Guess what happens? You don't have big plays in the run game, and I think a big part of cow. Shanahan's play calling is getting those explosives. In the run game, and that has been lacking this year, and I think they go hand in hand. We'll let me give the heart. Let me do the hockey assist. Don't flip it on over to Dennis, but it's Chris Babcock did. This does a great job with stats with with Papa and Tim for the others have gone seven straight games on an explosive run? That's 196. Rushing attempts. The Cowboys were tied, allowing the most explosive runs coming into the game with 16 so you would have thought they would have gotten one. Dennis to me if you don't respect the quarterback. If you don't respect the quarterback and throw the ball deeper, throw the ball really it all you're just looking towards the running game. They know that team's gonna come in and want to run the football. So what I would say is, it's really difficult when everybody pretty much knows what you want to do. And the reason why they had to have Nick throw the ball so many times is, obviously they fell behind and they had to continue to catch up all day long. But how much? How much easier is it defensively? When you don't respect the quarterback to stop the run game? Yeah, I mean, if you could make any team any any offense when Dimension Oh, it's favored for the defense. And you, You look at this game today against the Cowboys and the 40. Niners had a running game. You don't have to depend on Nick Mullins toe, throw the ball down the field, you just eating them to manage the game. Get the ball to his playmakers and let him work the middle of the field. But when you lose your rocking moster, and you go away from your run game, and now it falls on your quarterbacks shoulders and he has to make some of those throws and then you just kind of sit back because you understand that he's not gonna He's gotta throw it over your head. He's gonna throw everything in the middle of the film, and you can kind of sit. You know a linebacker safety if you could just sit and wait and read his eyes, and I think one of those pigs that's exactly what it was. You just kind of sit And you wait, you understand, And he's not throwing outside the numbers. He's looking for some something in the middle, so in the middle of the football field, so if you wait long enough and watch his eyes, you'll get a pick. And that's that's the book on Nick Molins. He's not going to beat you outside the numbers. He's gonna look for something inside. He's gonna beat you over the top. So that's why it's so important for the 40 Niners to have that running game, especially if you're gonna have a Nick Bolin just back there, because if you stacked the box, you shut down the run, and he's got a beach with his arm and he just can't do it. And Dennis. You sat in those meetings where the defensive coordinator says Guys, This is what we got this week. You know, I spent hours my eyes. They're bleeding. I've spent so many hours watching game film. Let me tell you what I saw. Let me tell you what you don't have to defend, and this week as opposed to last week. This week. You know, we'll get weak. We gotta make sure we're defending the middle of the field. You got to read the quarterback's eyes. He can't throw it over your head, and suddenly you've got that quarterback in a box, you know, and there's very limited. He's got limits to what he could do. Let's take another one here. Nick's hanging in Arizona and he wants to jump in. Hey, Nick. Niccolo. You with a spud hate? Yeah. Larry. John Dennis. How you guys doing? Hey, man, we're doing good. Well, alright on a Merry Christmas Happy New Year. So I just wanted there's a couple things I wanted to touch on. But so you know, I don't think Molins is they gotta put better than their, um, moments has got to go. I know both. They gotta make a decision on both of them At the end of the year. I'd rather see better. If you've got a stronger arm he could get, you know, get the ball into tighter spaces and throw further, obviously, um, But I think they still could have won this game even with the two turnovers they had before Mullins through the two picks. The offensive line is terrible. I know they're hurt, but I hate to admit it after the but weapon they got yesterday, But I'm a big Notre Dame sans. So this stuff going on with my Gran? She doesn't surprise me because he was the same way college. He was good with run blocking, But he was terrible in pass through. But the thing that I wanted to get your comments on what And the reason why I called it because that beginning of the show, Larry you first mentioned about Thailand. It's play calling I You know this whole thing about the Super Bowl. I hated Bill back to it, but I think it was this play calling at the end of the game that really lost the forum. Even if Jimmy completed that passed, there was still enough time for the Chiefs to go back and score after that, but then even going back to Atlanta. They blew.

He had a little he's from Broad Ripple High school in Indianapolis, but he sounded like it's from the deep South. When he said, Goran, you get online anyway, Derek, that was that was a bad injury. Just looked like he was gonna make it in the end zone. He was trying to clear Whitney out of there. Buddy. He popped the groin. Marcus Mariota played Lot as well as I've seen him play. Got Chris Babcock, who is positively prescient. Texted may way before the game the middle of the afternoon, right after our show. And asked, Would you give up a third round pick for Marcus Mariota? And I didn't respond because I haven't seen him in a while. And I wanted to do a lot of work out an answer that question. I mean, he does make you see the highest paid back up in the league to your 17 mill. Wow, that's a lot. Including 10 next year. 10 Million option next year. Yes, so that I mean, they're not gonna trade him And I'm gonna take that sour. He'd be a starter's the question. Um He threw the ball well, that dead dead shot down the sideline, a deer and wall. There was big time. That was one of the best throws I've seen. You made a lot of great throws, but he he's still you know how much does he practice with the ones he still Their first reads. Not there. He's gone. He's out the gate. He runs along 88. He ran for 88 yards last night in the touchdown, and he's tough. He jumped right over the pile. I think the big moment of the game Is They got a first and goal on the four yard line, and you could not get that in. And then, uh, Rochelle makes that great play on the Passed in the right flat and then Justin Herbert is just a transcendent talent. Geez, I mean, honestly, I know you got your big n ba G m pole. If you were to pull NFL G M's right now who, if you hadn't started franchise and one guy And it's certain problem. You know, there's some defense of players and watching Joey play again last night and he was out in crunch time. But Boy, you just forget I'll go to the player Nick Bo says that his brother is really great player. But, you know, take away Aaron Donald to the world, maybe get some votes for him. But just quarterbacks. If you were to start a franchise that any one player in the NFL it be, Mahomes probably number one because he's been there done that. But it may be a close second or certainly the second place finisher, the Justin Herbert. Tell me where he's got a weakness. I don't see anything that he's not good at. Except occasionally the pass rush. But that you know when he when he When he And the boot game after Mario made a great play on Chris Harris, Junior to run him down. I thought it was gonna be a pick six. Yeah, and the charges were poised to score there. That's not his fault. But you run a stretch left boot, right and you've got pressure right in his face. How could he run away from that? A little better just to take a sack. There was a really bad play. And Anthony Lynn's game management is just so wretched all your little too late to call a time out. I mean, last night was one of his better guy. I've seen him wreck first halfs and games. Just terrible. He's not getting any better. I mean, he's got to study. You know, he's gonna get fired at the end of the year, and he has to figure out how to do that. He's gonna be lifetime assistant coach. Just not good. Um, but you know, he didn't quick way to 20 seconds to call the time out. At that point, Don't call it What you're trying to do with those timeouts is conserved 42nd intervals, not 22nd intervals turned out fine. They won the game. But that was terrible. But I would you have had badly try that 51 yarder. After he missed the earlier one. You're giving it right back to them on the 41 yard line. That was crazy, then the way the raid I thought the Raiders sandal the end of the game fine and It wasn't a lane Kiffin lining up for a 76 yard field goal. But you did you 55 65 yards or it's indoors. I guess it a legion. But anyway, I was a hell of a good football game. And then you know, Herbert makes that throw with pressure right in his face, and Troy Aikman come on. It was not under thrown me get couldn't believe it. You said if you would have put it out there would have been touched down. Where did you want to put it right in his hands. He did after you did slow down a little bit. But he got pressure right in his face, and he was not prepared to throw that deep shot. I think he saw it a little bit late. But how many guys have the arm strength to get it there and take that shot and then so great, you know, first time in Vegas is the L. A Chargers at the Las Vegas Raiders. The whole thing is just weird. And what does it come down?.

"Best gamers career basically sitting in for Ah, Farid, who was in there for Kittle, who returns today, Brandon I Yuk showed his talent, So I love the game that Kyle called guys because He really made the Giants defend the width of the field. He attacked them on the edges, and they don't have that kind of speed, and they really couldn't match up And they didn't and then and then once they had to be stretched toe to reach the width of the field. Then monster picked him apart in the middle of the field, and they had no answers. And it was just that was a very one sided game Now today as we fast forward to the Eagles, what do you guys expect to see? Because The one thing that jumps out at me when I look at the Eagles is there 32nd League dead last in turnover margin. I think this is a pretty decent football team that has some hasn't flaws. But I don't think they're bad football team. I just think they've been undone by minus seven on the turnover table in the early part of the season. Why? What would you look at this? This full of f your defense? They play pretty darn good defense, And they've got someone in the Miller would Fletcher Cox That can really get after you need to get you some pressure right up the middle into your offense, and we know this is kind of The weak spot, not the weak spot. But maybe a question mark on the 40. Niners offenses that that interior offensive line and they've got some good defense of line, So we'll see you again is going to come down to the match ups in the trenches, the which way this game's going to go. Chris Babcock, who does great stats for Papa sent me a note this morning. They haven't created a term turnover. Defensively. The only Turner they've got this year was Ana Cooper Cup. Fumble on a plant return. If you go back to the playoff loss last year to Seattle, the Eagles have gone four games without a defense of takeaway Sidney Jones and interception of a Daniel Jones pounds in the last day of the 2019 season. That was 276 plays ago. So thanks to Chris Babcock for that what it reminds me of in both you guys remember this a couple of years ago. When the 40 Niners just couldn't create turnovers, and you think it's gonna happen, But I don't know, Dennis. You could tell me. I don't know if it becomes mental, whatever the case may be, but they're not creating turnovers. Carson wins has become a turnover machine. He's got six interception seven turnovers total. Which leads the league. He's the Jamis Winston of this year and you just don't win games. I mean, it's just you don't have to be a very deep statistician to realize that if you just go to turnover margin in games, you're gonna win about 75% of the time. If you turn it over less than your opponent, and that's what the Eagles do. They turn it over and they don't create any turnovers. And just to jump in on that, Jonah if you're opposing that towards Dennis for me, but But I, uh you know the the Eagles this year now that they have Darius Slay play a lot more man to man coverage. And when you play about a man coverage, you don't necessarily get the pics. That you would get in a zone and I think I think that's part of why they're not getting the turnovers because you'll get that rush eight sacks last week. 18 hits on the quarterback to me. This is the whole key to the game for the 40. Niners is, Don't let You know Malik Jackson Fletcher Cox Barnett off the edge. Given Hargrave really athletic, big body guys who come with a lot of power and their pass rush. Don't let one of these guys get a free run at Mullen's or that's going to change the outlook of the game and maybe the season. So to me, That's the key to the game as long as long as the Eagles don't knock out Mullins. I think the foreigners are the better team and are going to win this game, and it may be convincing. But that's the equalizer a great D line, and I think the Eagles really have one yet and you're exactly right and that that's going to be the key. It's going to be in the trenches and what's this offensive line, and the offensive lines played well. Last week, they block really well. You know, once Nick Molins. He's very once he's comfortable in the pocket. He has a nice, clean pocket. He's able to make some fantastic throws. He's a He's a very accurate quarterback. But if you put pressure on some of these big eyes, big horses upfront. If they start kind of getting after him, you might see you know Nick Collins get a little flustered, and that's not what you want in your backup quarterback. So It's going to be in the trenches is goingto won or lost in the trenches on both sides of the ball. But the key is to keep Nick Mullins upright and keep him in a very comfortable pocket. You know what I'd also say to help out Nick Mullins and look last week they got some key runs. Brandon a. You get three for 31, but it was the 19 yard. They got a club the screen passes. You know to the Jeff Listen. Junior scored on the one so they were effective. McKinnon made a great jumping catch. But from a running standpoint, if you take you three for 31 if you take the receiver away, the running backs last week went 28 for 62. That's 2.2 a Carrie again. You don't have to be in the analytics to point to a Carrie's not going to get it done. So that puts a lot of pressure on Nick Mullins. Now look, Kyle Shanahan can run, you know, reverses and sweeps and all these things to the receivers, and that's all fine and good, but at some point You're gonna have to get this running game going into this point in the season for just a purely runningback perspective. They just haven't so I don't know if that goes in the offensive line of the backs. Whatever it does, Maybe there's you know a lack of respect for the passing game. I don't know what it is, but getting Debo back. Getting Kittle back. Maybe that'll open. Something's obviously kill is great in the run game as well in the blocking sense, so hopefully that could open some things up. But last week, I want two things against the Giants along snapping obviously which they have solved. Kyle Nelson is no longer here. But the running backs have to get the thing get going so they could take some pressure off Nick Mullins. Yeah, No, it's a great 0.40. Niners come into today, even though they they look really strong on both sides of the football, their 25th in the NFL and success rate running the football on. This has been a strength in the past. And now that's been three straight weeks where the running game. I guess if you're going to say a word, you know it's been somewhat sluggish. And today it's a huge challenge because the Eagles are really strong defensively, not just against the past, but also against the run. All right, there are ton of injuries. Both sides will break it down next and there's one in what I think may be the key matchup for the 40 Niners on defense. They're gonna hit next. Is we go. Matt Miyoko is going to join us later on. We're going to hear from Greg Cosell. Greg Pop is going to check in from the broadcast booth.

"You don't need to score a touchdown necessarily here, but you gotta pick up five yards, so Jimmy could run If they pressure him, Pettus type left. Kettle is tight. Right? Three. Go right, the rapido back throws and its broke it up. He was going to trend Taylor it was broken up. By Byron Murphy Jr. Arizona will take over on downs. The game is not over 40 Niners to have three timeouts left, but it's very close to being over. They're great. Papa. Tim Ryan on the call. Surprisingly 20 for 20. The 40 Niners lose to the Arizona Cardinals here at Levi Stadium, John one Super Bowl champion, Dennis Brown of the Great Larry Kroger joining us. Thanks. Great question that you asked on Twitter, and we're getting a lot of great responses. So, Jerry Larry jumping here and they give us some more of the people why they thought they lost today. One thing and again. This is a great Chris Babcock, who since he normally up with Pablo and Tim, and feeds, Papa all these great stats, and it makes Papa sound very good. But it's kind of like that movie. What was known Roxanne with Steve Martin and Steve Martin's, whereas the big nose so he's in the back, and he's feed the lines. That's exactly what Babcock doesn't make them. Pop is the one who, you know, just regurgitates about Papa stop the Cyrano Cyrano de Bergerac and Babcock has hanging slash And so he sent me some step. Also the first quarter the Niners. Time of possession wise 10 27 to 4 33 for Arizona. So dominating Arizona one the time of possession. 31 26 2 2034. So it's about 27 18 and last Three quarters of the game in the second half. Thank you, Chris Babcock 42 to 29 in place in favor of Arizona. Well, why does that matter Because like you guys said, air quality wasn't so great Today. First game of the year you're gassed and Kyla Murray's running all over the place and this is an excuse isn't excuse. It's an explanation Givers on a credit they won the football game, but they were gassed. At the end. The defensive line wasn't dominating because they're chasing sky around, and they just They got tired. Look, Dennis brought this up during a break. It's a great point. After the 94 yard drives, you're on the field defensively for a 94 yard drive. The offense went three now. Yeah, I think I was it. No, e. I hope you enjoyed that 62nd ball. You just got after that 94 year. Dr. You're coming back on the field. That's a factor in this game. Yeah, And it's a factor when you when you haven't been able to get off the field. I mean it be great if your offense goes through and out and then defense goes through here now, But if you go, you're often goes three and out. You go back in for a eight minute drive, 10 minute drive. I mean, and then you go back off the field. You have to come right back on after another three and out, or maybe a foreign out, So I mean, it's It's tough. It's tough. I mean, you got the air quality going. It's your first game on like I said, I mean, you guys know crowd to give you an energy is no. There's nothing and just going like practice your just going right back out there now. It was a guy the beauty of this game thinking you don't need a crowd. You're gonna motivate yourself, but I really saw that. Pride would've helped out a lot, especially when the defense is on the film. You need that boost. I think it was missed today truly missed today. You know, we're getting a number of different responses. I asked the question. What is the number? One reason the Niners lost in a lot of people pointing at Jimmy Jimmy was a bit slow. Jimmy. Just like the Super Bowl. We had to make one throw. I didn't do it. You know, I expected more from Jimmy. You know, one guy said, you know, two for 11 on third down. I mean, that that that obviously was a key fact and seven for 14, Arizona. I mean, that's the contrast Is that losing out on the field? I mean, you give up 50% to a team that is so they converted seven of 14. You converted Team two of 11 minutes. That's the biggest status game. Somebody says no to force Buckner, one guy says, where were are wide? Receivers. But Eric Ah has has the one that I would vote for. If you said if you said Give me the number one reason the 40 Niners lost this game, I would say they couldn't they lost contained on Kyler. Consistently and this is the last quarterback in the league that you can lose. Contain on you have to rush him with discipline. You have to rush him in Lane's Dennis. You know, you have a doctorate in in exactly what I'm talking about here. The art of rushing the mobile quarterback. This is the most mobile quarterback. And then you mix in the poor air quality. And, as John said that the total 42 to 29 play advantage that Arizona had in the second half and being gassed in no O T A s and no training camp and no no preseason, but to me if you said number one reason they lost contain on Kyler and once who's contained on a mobile quarterback like that, man. Everything starts to fall apart. Yeah, and a couple times it wasn't about to contain. It was just about on the inside. Once you open up that rush lane and he would see it so quickly. He would step back there and he'd read it like a rotting body was one reading Go. Yeah, it was like it was a lot of my reads. Not there. I'm gone. And there was a quarterback here a couple years ago, and that's that's kind of how he made his bones in NFL became a superstar that one read and go and he made the place. I mean, that was it. It was a lot of third in 12 13 15 and you see He'll take that one read in Hell knows he'll see that rush lane, and it wasn't about to contain. It was just running straight up the middle class. You know what? What's gonna happen, and we see this in the MBA bubble when you watch that there is no home field..

"A story. About the other guy, and they also wanted in a imitation and I can't get you know I like like, you know, dislocated my diaphragm trying to get low like him. I couldn't do it. So he told the story about me watching tape and eating like a madman and a charter. Which is what else you got to dio three hours. There have a lot of four hours, five hours. So the one I told about him. Wass. Ah George Kittle claims Jimmy's the worst texture of all. Have you ever tried to text him? Ryan? He's just he's the worst is very hard to even find. Likely. Hammer sent me a text yesterday about the equipment for his home and They didn't respond to leave forever, so I had to get up, but sometimes he will respond to me, But I'll send him a check and you know he kidding me back. He checks me way too much, but I'll get it. I'll text him like you know something. It's time sensitive, and I need to know like right now. Otherwise it's useless. Like 12 days later, I know I'll get a checks back, and I'm like, What was that about? But the best one ever. He's a bad individual texture like the worst of all time. Way worse, Singer Rapallo So, but group texts. I don't think he gets them at all. Because when we would have a greater chance that I don't think you know, I don't think he has it on his phone set up. I think his daughter changed it for him. But for a long time, he never got a group text. I mean, like when I text him one on one. It is spotty and way delayed group attacks. They just don't happen. But you know Chris Babcock, our statistician, he sends Timon. I attacks together and it's AH note about The 40 Niners in the Arizona game. So Ah, I respond. Thank you. Whatever thumbs up, Emoji. Tim doesn't respond at all. And then, like five days later, he sends an image of a check that he'd be deposited in his account is routed. Cover everything out there, so I'm just laughing. And that, like three days after that, he says, a text saying, Sorry hip text. So so that's the story. I told about Tim Ryan. So that was probably the highlight of the show would be out again. For being He's not good with technology and stuff is what I would say. But as Faras texting, he's the ultimate is the worst of all. I wonder how most people feel about because if you're of a certain age, and Tim is He's younger than me. And yeah, but still, I think of you of a certain age. It's it's annoying. Or maybe it's just a personality trait. But it did used to be nice for a younger demographic is listening. It did used to be nice that you didn't have to just get back to someone as fast as possible, because to be honest, and I've fallen in this trap now. If you send someone attacks And they don't get back to you within. Say after I unnecessarily nobody. I just I didn't make up the rules these air the unwritten rules of communication now, which is if you don't get back to somebody on attacks within probably five minutes, 10 minutes. They start Get Nancy. And look, you might be working out. You might be taking the time in the bathroom reading gone with the wind being a mountain skiing and you're not getting any accessories like that, But But the reality of it is, Is there a lot of reasons why you may not get back to somebody very, very fast. And some of the reason maybe I don't like you and I don't respond to you that that's one of them. But if you generally don't get back to someone like, especially wife, girlfriend, significant other or family member and you get back to him, they started pissed. They'll send you like 23 tax within, like 10 15 minutes. It didn't used to be that way like you could be not accessible. That's not that's not an option anymore. People get pissed. My daughters are like that with me. They call it ghosting me. You're ghosting me. We could be like 10 minutes and they're saying Well, if I read it, it's fine. I don't have to acknowledge we text on this show would shake up in Mike Holer and you and may I have to respond. Everything I read it. I'm on. I'm on it. I got it. You don't have to respond every single one but a lot of people. His heart. Is this to believe? And it honestly we're going to go from one gassed and Tim Ryan, who I think is without question, the worst texture of all time. To another guest. That I would say is equally as bad slightly better. And Tim Flannery. But the reason is and I admired them that they are not totally consumed by their little thing in their hand all the time. They're looking at it all the time. They don't give a rat's ass Tim flattery, and they're both named Tim. If that's got something to do with it, though, and Tim Flannery goes off the grid, he goes off the grid, and he does not care. He does not need a lot of touchy feely human interaction, and he's like, you know, love harder guy. So he loves everybody. He just doesn't care. So he's not. He's not checking his phone and a lot of times. He's in a place where you can't even get it at all. And he's still got a flip phone. But I admire people like that. They don't necessarily And that everybody has to be so totally consumed by what's the latest piece of news and social media. I wish the times I was more like that, but because of work I am forced to not do not be like that. But when I'm not working, I'm a little bit like that. I could go underground. And so you know, I think when you go away, and you're kind of to catch a little bit But both Tim Ryan and Jim Flannery of the ability to just unplug now Tim Ryan's case. I don't think he ever plugs back in which I admire as well. You don't have to be. You don't have to play by everybody else's rules of civilization that we have to communicate this way constantly. They don't want to be a part of that. As long as you establish that, like e think What you just said, is really a key, which is if Jimmy is a terrible texture or Tim Ryan is a terrible texture or or and I know wife land does, and I'm the same way as him. I like to get off the grid completely because what you and I do for a living. And you do it in multiple ways, But information is everything. So I'm constantly, you know, looking at it, and at some point you get burned out on it, And I understand you have text back. But when I am plug it in plug, I won't send you people. Tell me Tell me, I'm a bad text or two, but it's like And and I know you by now I'll text you and I'll get a response or sometimes I don't need a response. You don't you just don't pick up the phone and that's fine. I know. I want to answer the phone from my mother. That's this. He won't get me in the fall. And even like text papers, I I need to Doc like, very rare, but, well, I have a device that does different things. You know, Big iPad a small I've had. And then I checked. I can't text on my medium size I fare but I don't And then even like where the phone interrupts what I'm doing, which is watching a game or something. So I got everything going on at once, but it was their times like my daughters. Will be texting May night when I know I'm not working and I'll be reading and there's certain things that I want to read specifically on my phone that I don't want to read like 49 eclipse the way they're laid out. It's just way better for me to read on my phone and I my bigger iPad. It's just as Faras holla eligible. They are So but then I get like a zillion text while I'm trying to read something or the other night I opened Giants pregame, and now they got like a scripted open where I've got to read it. And it's easier to read that on my fault just gets laid out on my mom. Bless her heart. My mom tries and she has arthritis. Her fingers are bad. But she is a really bad texture. So she started texting the right weather show starts and I'm getting like Bob. You know,.
