Who said if. Darko mexes out. Taken darko can you believe that. Can you imagine having to live with that for the rest of your life while we have it on tape. Check that tape toady. He took darko. Well mellow nobody took abroad. This tape for the rest of their lives. Oh that is so great. That is delicious. i love that. That's my favorite error in the history of the show. And i caught a call for what was happening a real time but now lives forever on film. It's a we're perceived so many emails about the nba draft that we've decided to spend a whole segment on you. Ready wilpon always ready. While the pistons have indicated there picking darko new coach. Larry brown reportedly prefers carmelo anthony. Which of the top three do you think. We'll make the best pro pro. I gladly take any of the three of. Im carmelo anthony guy. I believe it was a polish player already. Even after only one season he can shoot it. He can handle it. We don't know if he could play defense but we don't know about that about the other two either any six eight all personality luck okay. Lebron's personality things being equal lebron one year behind her mellow in school. Lebron come out. After his junior year people said he would have been the number one draft. Pick the entire nba. Now i personally think that if darko matt's adeyemi darko max's out. I believe he's the best of the bunch because he's fluid his seventy cared teach seven feet cookies seven two. it's over. he's only seven right. What if he was kevin garnett. Take him better. I would i would take any other calls may have gotten enrolls. Darko wrong. land. And in all of this theater of argument that tony and mike have built. They also sometimes turn. Pti into a more literal stage a stage where the curtain goes up and play has begun because with the help of longtime producer. Bonnie berko their costume even official proprietor of the prop closet. The guys stage these mini shows within the show dressing up as a giant turkey. For instance or as officers of the law. Welcome back to the precinct. I'm officer kornheiser. This is officer wilpon where to play. Good cop bad cop. Let's get to the i suspect. Or as re-live coaches or players get naughty with little role play. I will give and mike you will. Oh i'm gonna receive i. Oh you are jimmy. Connors tweeted about psychic complete with an electrified crystal ball. We'll come back to america's last surviving psychic hotline. God we peer into the future to bring you answers from the great beyond sense. The first caller anna glenn. I wanted to juicy antonio brown need to understand. All the games are exactly the same. The props are different. It's just a way to get us to go back and forth with one another. It's just it's just the device. I hated good. Combat cop hated them. All this is me. That stuff is to satisfy tony. I can't think of all the games we used to have. All of for the record but there is one day every year where mike chooses to make a very special exception. Pardon the interruption. But i'm joel embiid. The producers wanted me to dress up as the flyers mascot. I said no. Because i have dignity. Pti halloween special going. What is so special about it. It's the same old junk but in costume. But he will dress up on halloween show. He will do that one time. I think i'm the halloween show. I think i went as lindsey vonn and he went as tiger woods. I thought that was very successful or the interruption. But i'm mike wilbon and for halloween. I decided to beat tiger woods. Grandma girl in zimbabwe. Here what abu. That's not exactly what i had in mind really. I've got not hot. We're in the richard hat whole thing. Tiger invited me to plan an event. His event in southern california. And i have put on eighteen. The last part of the day. I don't know because it improving my standing. But i stand over the part about a fifteen foot putt and drain. It feeling pretty good about myself. I looked up and this is like on december first. There's only like a month later. I looked up and there is tiger woods and he says and i quote if you're going to be me to the damn putt but where. Pti really engineers chaos is when they play it straight and just wait patiently for the calendar to turn to april first. We begin today with the stunning and shocking news that the ncaa has invalidated. The last sixteen seconds of sunday's davidson kansas game elaborate outrageous entirely fake stories delivered deadpan and that those last sixteen seconds will be played again tomorrow night in north carolina because a review of the tape of that game found out. Chiran collins was so instrumental in closely. Guarding steph. curry at the end of the game had already committed five thousand and should not have been on the floor and to make any of this work you really need diabolical poker face of guys says that he was never brave enough to become an actor himself but as nonetheless april fooled millions of americans by this point for two decades including possibly himself. Well this is unprecedented and to me. It is unsettling especially since the game will be moved from detroit to charlotte north carolina. You're trying to convince people that the story that you have made up actually happened. There have been times. I can't give you chapter and versus done it a lot of times many times. I would say this could have had this definitely could have happened but we begin today with the breaking news of a major snag. John calipari moved to kentucky autumn dropper. Rick pitino apparently has the job just this morning as calipari was appearing at a press conference in lexington patino was reportedly working the back once or twice. I've said this did happen. And they take no. We made this up this morning. So you sure. I think maybe i heard this. They go no did. You didn't happen and then you can sell it particularly if you believe it could happen. You believe it did happen you from selling pretty easy. You believe it could happen. You can sell it. I mean that's a pretty good summary of how. Pti turned this bizarre television experiment as wilbon called it day. One into an institution an institution. That can be serious journalistic but also the exact opposite the coming indispensable to even the stars. The big names that tony. Mike would lampoon on the show. That is episode three. And i'll talk to you then..

"The Simmons siren. Simmons. It's back. Oh no. Oh, it sounds like Ben Simmons. Well, he's still a 76er for now, even if he isn't physically there, but according to recent reports, Ben Simmons has decided that he's done playing with Joel embiid that that partnership could be a big part of the reason why he wants out. It's not so much that the 76ers said mean things or anything like that. It's more he doesn't like the situation with embiid being the one a with Simmons as the one B or the two were the Robin to The Batman or whatever you want to call it. He's not a fan of that arrangement and would like to go somewhere where he can be. The top dog, as far as where that would be, I'm not sure, but that sounds like a big sticking point here for this situation and he thinks that the partnership has run its course. Yeah, and to be clear from the reporting that was done this was an athletic piece. I want to say it was Bill of ram, Sam amek and Sean chiran, all contributing to it. It's nothing personal towards Joel embiid. He doesn't dislike Joel embiid as a person or anything like that just feels like their games don't mesh weather. Mesh well together. Man, I've made a mesh with a portmanteau, is not what they call it mesh. That's when that's when the weather is like. That's when the weather is like, it's rainy, but there's also like a patch of sunshine somewhere else. You know what I mean? That's mesh weather, where it's just sort of coming together, you know? See? That's what it is. We do not mesh well together. In Simmons opinion, the numbers do not back that up. Those two guys share on the floor was wildly effective last season. I want to say there was something like plus 15.5 points per possession per game when they were together. So it just doesn't match up. I don't know that anybody necessarily. Is there with that? And it's funny 'cause it's seen a lot of people coming out and say, no, everybody says pull four shooters on the floor. And it just really comes down to if he's not going to be a willing shooter at all, I don't care who you put on the floor with him. It's going to be kind of hard, but you got to get him in this primary creator primary off ball roll and let somebody else move on. But yeah, that's the extent of the update..

"Ring is GonNa look just as Nice. absolutely not If if you win this year, it's going to be just as much as if you want last year. If you win next year, the the process will be different. The world is different. In some respects, I might almost consider this more special. If you, consider the the things that the winning team is going to have to overcome shutting down the entire League for two or three months span. You know playing Stanley Cup playoff games theoretically in the months of August and September I might suggest it's harder to win this year than it is in other years I would not take a thing away from whatever team wins the Cup this year. See I think it will be a harder for team like the Bruins to win because you have all. These veterans were in a groove. who were who were you? Playing walls they were, and then you just stop them. You just stop and then you come back with. Yeah had. Sort of thing. And I understand. I might make the argument that one of the things we've talked about over the years here is. Holly. How do you by rest time for betrays Chiran for Sodano Charles? How do you make sure that they're healthy and ready to go in the Stanley Cup playoffs because they play so many heart minutes during the course of the season well. Got All the rest of you number one. you know they're going to be healthy. They're going to be ready to go. They're going to be arrested. I. Understand Brad's argument in yours. It's legit. I, the counterargument I might give is is is Patrice Bergeron ever GonNa feel better going into by off? Series said he will this year. That's the thing and the other thing is i. think this helps Rask. I mean. He said it was this morning. He hasn't been. He's been mentally Kinda getting his his Mojo back. The Passion was already there. You know 'cause you address retirement questions, but I feel like this will help his passion. It'd be helped here a little longer. Jail before you go. Is there anything you would like to plug I always? Ask you this I always. Like Nassar, I appreciate the offer. I am working on my second book right now. I'm willing to. Tell you who it's with yet. Because I'm not sure if he wants me to tell you, I will say that if you're a bruins fan. You'll like this book, and and that's all I'll say we. We've been working on it for a couple of months now and I've begun the process of writing at this stage, so The second book will be coming along, but probably not until sometime. Beginning of of the calendar year. Something like that we'll see. You told me last time you were just about starting a book as this. Is it easier to do a book right now? Because you've. Only. You don't have a lot of free time. If the show every day, so that that has adapt, but I still have I mean Mike Mike Commute went from an hour and a half a day. One Way to thirty seconds one way. I come down the stairs. I sit here in front of my picture at on my couch in the basement. so usually what happens? This was a day where we didn't have a call together, but usually. The person. "Done has quarantine. Oh it's I mean it's a dream let's just say I mean it's a blur actually is probably a better word for it. Yeah as we were talking about earlier I have absolutely no concept of what day. It is what time it is. What planet I'm on at any given time and it's just nothing makes sense anymore I we have like this calendar that you like. Diaries up on our wall in the kitchen that we used to use for like plans has existed so it had been on. March until yesterday ray I raised it and Changed it to month twenty twenty and I just started putting things on the days of the week. It'd be like okay October thirty first. That's a Saturday. I'm going to put that on the first Saturday. That's the thing to look forward to our only have five things on there. That sad miss plans. I must plans. I miss. Just the the option of making plans with people the option of like. I could go somewhere if I wanted to like. No you can anymore. You're trapped. I think the thing that I really miss the most amps. This last week is just like going and shopping. Yeah like just going to target like walking through the aisles. Look in her things. You don't need well even just like oh I need to go to old navy for a pair of pants and then you just do that and yet of like get on all your and see if it's open or whatever even though it's not like you have to order online if you want pants her all navy. Yeah sad time. We're living in right. I thought it was bad and we just had to drive fifteen minutes to the mall right. Also I'm reading the shining right now and feel it gets like really appropriate like yeah the cabin fever type thing. The Do have stock hallway in your upstairs. We do. It gets some weird twins going on there. Oh No. That's that's terrifying. Think of soon one day one day crazy. Yeah Yeah Anyway What have you been watching this week to get you through quarantine? Well no surprise. I am still watching Star Trek because that's my life now right. There's plenty of it to keep you busy. I did finally decide to watch the Cooked with cannabis show okay and so I've watched that one and It was called cooking on high. Which was the one from last year's for twenty and it was. It's a lot like chopped and it's really fun. It's hosted by police who is also a trained chef. So fancy milkshake in her yard. That's awesome. I love that so many things about police. She is a dream. That's really good tonight for. I like completely forgot about her. I mean I will never forget about her milkshake but I kind of forgot about her as a person that makes me feel bad. Yeah Wall Pop. Star is temporary true Have you ever watched it's on Vice? It's called Bong apetite a hall. Yeah so actually. It's interesting because it used to be a show where they guy went around. And like eight different cannabis infused foods and like Blake went to different places and saw how they ingested cannabis and stuff like that and now it's like a cooking show is like a difference like a completely different show with the same name. It's on Vice. Anyway cuyler. I've watched a few episodes of that. It was pretty good. Yeah I watched it when it was the travel show. I haven't seen as yeah. I had no idea change and all of a sudden we started watching. This is a different. This is different. Tv show. This is a different I think we really watch anything else this week. Other than what we're watching right. I'm trying to think of what I watched this week. It's been a blur I'm telling you The first thing that we watch we both watch that we want to talk about is finally. There was a too hot to handle reunion released. And it was like glue quarantine edition reunion where it was just all video calls is really interesting and actually. This is kind of a side note but next Wednesday the thirteenth of May this Wednesday. I should say Is the finale of season forty of survivor winters at war? And I'm so excited first of all second second of all I'm interested to see what the reunion is going to be like. Because I think it's going to be probably the same thing. Like the video calls. Because traditionally and survivor they always reveal the winner live and then have reunion like right bright after so. I think it'll be interesting to see how they do it. But let's talk about too hot to handle. Yeah no that'll be interesting to see how reality TV adapts to our situation because the ones that are most able to adapt. Yeah definitely and like especially. We're talking about too hot to handle now. But also the tiger king reunion which we haven't talked about but that was also an right zoom or whatever. Yeah yes And then also I don't know if you've seen like ads for it or anything but there's like a whole like ninety day fiance like quarantine addition hough as other doing on my TV guide the other day. Yeah it's basically it's basically just like various people from like all the different ninety day fiance editions like filming themselves at home and talking about themselves basically and like what they're doing and I don't really care that much about that but it is pretty interesting to watch because there are some people that are from like early seasons that we really haven't heard anything about I haven't heard anything about it was interesting to get an update on them but But Yeah I think that's it's just going to be a really. It's just GonNa be really interesting to see how television. Reality Television regular television. Everything in the entire world is going to change and adapt because of this. Yeah like I mean. The fact of the matter is we watched and rented trolls to the day. It came out even though like trolls was cute. But I don't know if it was that much money. You rates still like that is amazing being able to just release a movie to everyone once. Yeah I think that there is a that Pixar movie and remember what it's called like out something bound or something. I don't know but it was released like on Disney plus which was cool But yeah okay. So let's talk about too hot to handle her so distracted by the corn tune. There's a lot a lot to think about right now. Yeah okay. So what do you think about the reunion? Okay so I loved it. It was the best part of the entire show. I agree I was really first of all. I was relieved that they had a reunion. Because that's one thing that I was really didn't like about too hot to handle was that there was no follow up. There is no way that we could know if this experiment worked and I'm realizing now that that's probably because of like the craziness surrounding corona. I guess I had thought that they would have had time to do it like before but will. Yeah because I mean we're kind of used to love is blind or that was two thousand eighteen exactly so actually like closer to real time. Yeah so maybe. That's what I think. Probably Coronas why there wasn't like a reunion that was released with the resolution. What three weeks ago? Something like that. Yeah we've been teen for like six weeks. Yeah right in the right in the heat of it all so I was. I was just glad that existed but I also just enjoyed it a lot. I thought it was really well paced. I loved as Ray Burge. I thought she like I loved her on the show to seeing her and just seeing her able to interact with. The contestants was really great and she seems like genuinely so excited to be talking to them to which was really cute her shine Bryce yes. I just was so cute. Oh they go one on one now. Yeah it was. It was awesome but I think it was like the most hopeful I've ever felt at a reunion. Yeah because most of the time it's like Darcy Jesse or survivor where it's just like they're like thank God. I'm not parasitic anymore. Right this one was like they actually felt like they grew as people. Yeah I felt like that was I. I feel like a lot of them. Took away a lot from the retreat. Which was really good to hear because that was I think. One of my biggest reservations was like I wasn't sure how effective it was going to be. It just didn't seem to have like a really focused goal so I wasn't really sure how effective it would be but it seems to have like really changed a lot of these people's lives so that's great and well or they caught all the heat on twitter and read through it and sat and thought about it. I mean that that's yeah but maybe Ami that that still requires I guess some personal which is good. Yeah sometimes you have personal reflection when ten thousand people are in your mentions bright. Can we talk about how Harry proposed to Francesco with the fucking ring. Pop over Zoom or whatever Huh. I wonder I don't know if that's real fire real. I don't I cannot imagine that it's real and I can't either an Francesca's response was like he knows. I WANNA marry him and it's like What kind of responses that like? Just say yes. I don't know it just seemed like very like let's do something cute and something that will make people remember us. You know well or he was like. Hey disarray propose difrancesco at this funny ring pop as a fun fun. Time proposal in front of everyone and it just went awry. They were talking about how they had stayed together. I guess right after the show and then they broke up and then Harry was like. Yeah one nine. I got really drunk concert texting and we just started. And it's like that's like not really good for eight months. Yeah an extended period of time. And I don't know just the whole like like I was drunk when I started it like first of all. Why would you even share that? Like this doesn't make you look good. Do it was like a a booty call what felt like and it just like it's like that's. I felt like it felt like a booty call and it felt like not something that it it felt like. He wasn't looking for a serious thing. Well I don't think other than world confused serious thing. I think they're just looking for followers. Yeah that's probably true if that's what they want whatever I was surprised and impressed with Khloe. Yes I love this. Amy Love Chloe even more like she was my favorite on the show and this made me love her even more. I loved her explaining all. The British like Lingo. I so cute. When she tried to figure out what the word emulate meant. Yes I is that like when you emulate someone to Orgasm Sir. Everyone who knows me in London? That was the worst Odyssey's better than I can do. So you would hit guys. What hate to hear mine but But Yeah I she also said Khloe also said that she's had a really positive response from the show and that the response from the show has actually made her a lot more confident as a person so I think that's really awesome. Yeah I think part of the reason I liked her on the show so much which I may have mentioned more. We're talking about. It is just that she didn't have quite the lake. I don't know fight about how much she didn't want to deal with relationships and commitments. The other ones did more just kind of like. Oh you know. It'd be nice if someone liked enough. Yeah Yeah and she was just did she was just funny and she is too sweet too and I felt like she was. Yeah she just wasn't like one of the like I need all the attention on me like some other people on the show were yeah. I think this tola reinforced that for me. Yep I agree Kells still love Kells. "Because the the combustion Mustang in the sixties, it would be interesting to know how fast they could run the Texas Mile. Now Electric cars are where combustion engines were in the sixties. Sixty seventy years from now where the combustion engine is going to be where rare rubber compounds going to be and I'll tell you this. Boy Again I'm skipping all over the place, but going back to the Mustang that you just mentioned you know. The the sixty eight Mustang the the electric version. That did this Texas mile run their record run they give an equivalent horsepower rating. You know how they can can extrapolate what it would be horsepower. Eight hundred horsepower. So that's far far above what the the sixty eight Mustang fastback head worse so it would be interesting to see what the you know. Internal combustion engine version of the sixty Mustang could could muster in the one mile run, and maybe it's been run there. I mean out of all the cars out of two hundred fifty, probably twice a year for sixteen years. I would guess to somebody who's running a sixty eight Ford Mustang fastback. Maybe maybe all right so back finally. Maybe maybe we're going to resume back onto the road years exactly yeah, so you know I was thinking about this this Bugatti thing and how they they ran. They did a three hundred four mph run in August of two thousand and nineteen, so not long after the Texas Mile. was achieved at three hundred point four. I was watching these in trying to draw comparisons and contrast and figure out what's happening here, but now remember, I said the GT had twenty five hundred horsepower, and that's an estimate it might be more might be a little less the Bugatti of course head. Sharon had so many modify had lots of modifications to it, and of course I'm sure that the the GT does as well, but the big difference here is that this is a road going production car. Technically I mean it can be sold to the public. It can be driven on the roads, and that's one thing Bugatti has to deal with the builders at. At MT K Motorsport don't have to deal with. They don't have to worry about mass production of this mass, but limited production of this one vehicle. It's a one of a kind, and it always will be, but they're dealing with that one event that one record and it's Kinda like we run it. We're done with it and maybe improve it for next time. Time, but that's it. The other thing about this is that Bugatti had a quad turbo. W Sixteen was tuned up to like sixteen hundred horsepower, so it had almost a thousand like nine hundred less horsepower to get up to the speed, but one thing that is most the most striking about this to me, and the most, maybe the most impressive about the Texas. Texas mile and the four GT's attempt or the for Gt's record run is that it did it from a standing start, and it only went those what it's a mile five thousand, two hundred eighty feet I think it went that distance and achieved three hundred point four miles per hour in that short amount of time that I mean just imagine the force. Force on the human body in the vehicle at that at that time when you look at the Bugatti run, and again all the specifics, the altered body and the tires and the engineers and the teams and everybody involved fine. Maybe maybe there's some of that going on with the GT, but here's the other thing. They did it to the special track you know. Know, under very controlled a very controlled conditions that they were able to enter the track at one hundred and eighty miles per hour. That's where they start at when they enter the straight. Then it takes them the entire five miles straight to get to three hundred and four miles per hour when you watch the way that the speed grows, and and I'll. I'll be specific here because remember the half mile speed for the the Ford, GT. It was two hundred forty miles an hour, and then it got up to three hundred. If you watch the speed, grow on the dials, the readings or whatever they give you on the youtube videos for the BUGATTI run once they get to You know if let's say. Say, you can even start at a to forty the way that the miles per hour. Count Up is like this. It's like forty one to forty two to forty three to forty four. The Ford Gt didn't have that luxury. It was deleted going leaps and bounds up to three hundred miles per hour. It was accelerating so fast after the two forty mark. That it's just unreal to think about I mean considering when you look at the Bugatti and what it's in the purposes, it's intended to go fast. That's what it was built for. Go fast and to break this three and a mile per hour. Run this this particular model. The CHIRAN was built for this test, and it will be sold of course, but the way that it grows from two forty, two, three, hundred, and four is much much slower, still impressive. These are all still impressive but S- much much slower than the Ford Gt is completely different, race or test. The Texas Mile seems like A. Strict power tests. Test! It's a brutal brutal test, isn't it? I mean and the footage from it is incredible to be able to see it now. You don't get a lot of. A. Lot of shots of like the car at the finish line going by at three hundred miles an hour. You don't see that because it's already in the distance. It's gone and the spectator area where all the filming and everything's happening. I wish they had more cameras on the track watching the cars go by at that speed, but you kind of rely on you know the gopro cameras that are in the vehicle you know by the drivers themselves, and of course that gets into wait, inherited Amex, and all that then you're also dealing with a spectator views people that are there with them on. On the team to film the event you don't get a whole lot of sensation of the cars passing you at the top speed I. Don't know why that is. Maybe it's because they don't want anything on the track that could damage or harm the driver or you know if there's something went terribly wrong. which sometimes does you know anytime? You're talking about these speeds. You don't want any obstructions in the way you wanna be able to have plenty room got half mile slowdown area than the runoff area with sand at the end and everything, but I. I find this whole thing fascinating. Events Arkansas. Mile the Arkansas. I didn't know. That has another one. I'm okay. I'm I'm going to immediately look up the Arkansas Mile. As soon as we get out of here, I really am the Colorado Mile is another one. Arkansas, mile the Colorado. My Alright, so I'm finding out new things every moment here, but if you don't know anything about the Texas Mile Ordinary. About it now you know everything, of course because we were just kind of scraping the surface on this thing, and it's fascinating to watch relief. You're into that type of racing. It's it's really really cool to speed. If there's a lot of puddle of nuances that you can kind of dig into and and find out about specific drivers and and types of vehicles that are run there, and you know current records, and all that, and like I said probably neglected to You know, give you all of the information, so if you want to dig into Texas Mile and find out what it's all about again. Please do so, but I do want to tell you that. We are on all forms of social media that you can think of everything under the. Sun Really Okay. "That's S H A V E at barbasol dot com. Clinton. I was thinking about this kyri Irving Celtics situation that conversation we're having earlier, you know, I believe the same page that we don't expect to stay in Boston fair. Yeah. Okay. All right. That's right. So because he has a player option. He cannot out if you're the Celtics are you concerned that he doesn't leave. Oh, you know. That's an interesting question. Caught me off guard like honestly, just came to be. We came back, Dan. I'm Danny aines. I'm like Joe, please don't pick this please don't pick it up because it gives them more flexibility, perhaps less turns turn it doesn't turn to salary tap. But maybe gives them a better idea of what they can have going forward is for trying to get Anthony Davis or trying to do whatever. If he's not there. If he all of a sudden, you know, pulls the triggers y'all I'm gonna take the player option on this year. So I'm going to stay like, oh, we weren't expected at what the hell do we do? Now, I think puts Brad Stevens under huge microscope because I think we're at the point now for the Celtics because a lot of times people talk like Brad was these sort of soothsayer of all he kept everything together. You know, he was the guy behind the guy because he's not a very outspoken tude. But at some point. You know when these results start coming back, and you look up and down the sideline who's responsible? If kyri comes back, and it doesn't really work out the same way. I think Stephen fired him. But you know, the hot seat is definitely there for a basketball town that expects to win. I mean, that's just what it is. In boston. But I think this though, I think roster always termines what should be expected from any coach. Okay. So have they overachieved they overachieved last year based on Gordon Hayward getting hurt and Cary Irving getting hurt when he did for them to reach the Eastern Conference finals. Right. That's an overachiever based on the talent. And the young court. You had them at squad. But I think maybe it also gave them a false sense of expectations. I say them hell gave it to me. I thought because the the played so well without those guys and they came back, they'd be even better. That's why I thought they win the east. But clearly that was a mistake because there's so much more involved when you have a team dynamic as opposed to just talent you, but it's how that talent works together chemistry. Whatever buzzword you wanna use. But I wouldn't put that necessarily Brad Stevens though, that's my point. So curry leaves does that put more on Brad Stevens take away from what expectations should be under his legal? That's tough because I do put cohesion balance on the coach. I mean, that's what they're for some of them beyond calling plays and getting guys motivated. I I got to believe that the coaches involved in that level of leadership. I'm just thinking about a couple of other things in terms of the Celtics and how this season went which is we were talking about this on around the horn the other day and is chairs brought up a great point. Which is that getting popped out of the playoffs by the bucks wasn't the real issue. The issue was that they had to face the books in the second round at all like their regular season fell out of the water. And so things every you know, every single thing that went on the playoff. Sure, they the Pacers. But like they were already coming in from a point that was underwhelming for most people, which is where the Stevens discussion gets back to it. If they're not even getting to their peak form as people see in the regular season. He certainly can't expect to happen in the playoffs. And how many times that can happen before you start realizing that maybe we need a different guy at the helm. There's a lot of questions a lot of flack back in the day for saying that the Celtics with all of this top picks cap space weren't necessarily in the best position. Because too many decisions with short bench. Roster like the NBA is often very difficult to manage and it's still going to be a tough one. And you know, we're all hoping that does well with this health and everything else like that. But he's got a tough job. It's gonna be a tough question about it is going to be a tough job in a tough off season. But one they were supposed to be prepared for with all the assets they pulled together and for a little more perspective on that. Join us now via the shell Pennzoil performance line is Asia, rod Blakely NBC sports. Boston Suraj been around the team for a long time. And we talk about the kyri dynamic and everything's plan out. I don't wanna put you on the spot necessarily. But I'm going to. How do you see this thing play out the summer for Kerry and the Celtics? I'm glad you phrased the question that way because when you talk about how this is going to play out this summer, I think that's very different than how it would play out. It's had to make a decision white. Now, if you had to make a decision right now, I think most people would agree that he's probably out in Boston. But I think if he's given a number of weeks that think about this season think about his role in the good and the bad that went down and think about all the options that he's gonna have his disposal and how he essentially is going to be starting from scratch if he decided to leave in how challenging that can be and last, but not least there's the money walking away from Boston. You'll leave in a lot of millions and millions of dollars on the table about eighty or so I think ultimately gonna decide to come back to Boston because as much as right now, I think Celtics nation and just their fan base is not all that. It's not feeling I read. I think what everyone has had a chance to look at one. You're not that find anyone similar to him from a talent standpoint. And we all know talent wins championships to he will be again as I said early walkaway from a ton of money. And last time I checked guys who had some type of help related issues when they have a chance to really solidify a max deal. They don't play. Kevin Durant game you play year by year. They get all their money here. You will wind up in Boston. Breaking news here. She rod Blakely believes that kyri will stay in Boston. That's what you really believe. If we're talking about his decisions this summer. Yes. Okay. Because if you had to make that decision. There's no way I will believe state Boston. But give if given the chance to think about this think about the pros and cons of weaving. Stay the ultimately, you're going to stay because I think the are going to outweigh the cons. Wow. All right. We'll let me ask you this. Then if Kyrie's coming back in, you know, all these guys are still going to be there. And this talent glut that they have is going to exist. The way it does do you think that it is reasonable the problems? The Celtics are having like is there an actual argument that what's happened with the way the team was put together was in fact, a legitimate issue that caused there I don't wanna say underachieving, but some people would say that not just in the regular season. But on the playoffs. I'll I'll say they did they undertake irregular Caesar polcy without question ended I of this team from Palestinian point. That was a factor, you know, carriers year kind of lewd to that. When he can come after game five we says, you know, guys had at genders. And and you know, guys, you know, one of the spotlight already had it and things of that nature. So there's a question there was some internal dynamic that factor and all this. But the one is something that I think a lot of people are making. I believe is going to be the case is that if Cari comes back this team is gonna come back as I don't believe. That's the case. I think Danny age if kyri savings coming back he is going to try to put together roster that better balances out this team from the standpoint of we've got guys who have roles they know what those roles are. They're not trying to deviate from those rules. So that's why when you when you see Kyrie Irving come back. They're gonna go chips all in on trying to get Anthony Davis. And if you get Anthony Davis via trade, you're gonna have to give up a number of those assets that you already have in place now. So if you're Abe. Able to pull that deal off. You're going to look for Matt different than you do right now. And I think the Celtics shelter stairs. I think all agreed this team. They can't come back. Look in the way. They did this your other wise, you're gonna get a similar result as raw Blakely from NBC sports Boston. Joining us here on the Mike with Michalis special guest host today Clinton Yates, he can follow Chiran on Twitter at Asia, rod Blakely, let me ask you this from a fan base standpoint. Basically how the season played out do Celtics fans want kyri urban back next season. No, absolutely not right now. And again, I'm keeping I'm trying to keep two different realms of reality in place of now and the future because way that so you re now is very different believe they'll view him in late June early July when it look around and they realize oh crap. We can't go out and get Kimball crap. We're not going to get Kevin Durant. And you go down to lick no litter. Kyrie Irving is probably the best we can do. And that's the only place that you have a legitimate shot and landing right now who's going to be a free agent. And I think again at because of that I think filled expand once we get closer to free agency. I think they will warm up more. So the idea career because no matter what you say about his leadership. Would you say about how he struggled in Milwaukee series? You could have pound for pound his talent ranks up there. Among the best in NBA. And again, I hate it. You know, him his point home. But we've seen it time and time again, you're not winning championship unless you have over. Echelon talent on your washer, and Kyrie Irving is as close as you're going to get to that. And this if you're the Boston Celtics. Wow, Asia, rob Blakely, he sees Cari coming back to Boston given some time to let emotion cool rational thinking being place. But as I said about that money might eighty million dollars. And that's where the rational thinking comes as you can talk about all the other stuff. Oh, eighty million. That's a lot of money for me. Again, follow as raw Blakely on Twitter at ace, raw Blakely, you wanna give us out onto your mom's quick all of this out the conversation. She known a time. Got love for her. There. We go. On the time. Brother specially coming on notice man that a problem of friend eighty Jones here on the Mike again, you can check them out NBC sports, Boston yoke Clinton blew me away. Doug. Take super high ticket. We're gonna hit the Jamaican air horns on that. When I mean, not a lot of people are out there with that. But he's more connected. And I am so he's been around for quite some time. If you're playing certain manner of thinking based on experience, then yeah, I'd say maybe closer to it than a lot of our. But again, we're jacket me Moen earlier as about the the reunion. Lebron James I could see kyri doing that as well. Specif- you can make up eighty million some other capacity linked to LeBron and LA in the whole deal. Listen to on the Mike Michalis ESPN radio the ESPN app. Clinton Yates kicking with me. "It's not just somebody wants a part time business. No, I want people who have empire thinking in in. That's who I tracked into my new to x ten west club. So then you have to know your differentiation. So back in the fitness base. I was this this guy I showed up in two thousand. One telling the world to stop doing cardio it. Even today. That's still a message that can kinda get through. But not as much did twenty years. What do you mean don't do cardio who? Let's Julie lose weight using semi bad that was back before ellipticals even existed notices people on stairmasters, but I was telling them you're wasting your time wasting your time dude dude at to stop doing that. And now is my huge differentiation allowed me to stand out. Basically, it was me and cross fit re educating the world, I didn't know about process two thousand four, but you know, cross it was giving the same message. I was to when is still two different programs, but we are all about high intensity training. So I knew differentiation there. And now, I know my differentiation in the new place like I'm working with small business owners between doing between a hundred thousand dollars a year in five million dollars a year. Now known that's big Morley two and a half million dollars year and his people that one double their income double the personal income. And we got all sorts of strategies to help reduce expenses to help them. Take more money out of the business. Doesn't mean if they're doing one hundred thousand dollars whole lot easier to help them double their income. But there's all these things we can do to help people grow faster. But also on the world's most disciplined men, the world's most productive, man. I've got that differentiation. Naronha help people work ten fewer hours through the structures and systems that we put together in programs. So that's what you do with your differentiation. Now, one of the things I've learned the last year or so is to take your differentiation put it in only statement. So I learned this from both Iran for Abacha who speaks at my perfect life or treaties speaking at my retreat again in two thousand nineteen he helps me at my mastermind groups I've had on the podcasts couple of times and Chiran tot the power the only statement inserted Zander fryer, my sales coach shuts one of my coaches Elche be speaking about so.
