So we're now 123, but less than six days away from Super Bowl 55 doing the Patriots. That's right. They should have been there. They kept Tom Brady, but they're not there because Tampa Bay as Tom Brady, and they're they're going to cancel the cheese. Let's talk about that divorce that happened. Among other things. The men won three Super Bowl championship with doing the Patriots. A pleasure bringing Matt Light. Who was here? Thanks to the good Your hotline. Matt. You knew that will not allow is gonna be made about the Tom Brady Bill Belichick divorce. Well, now it's your one about to be over with this divorce. What do you thoughts on that? Yeah, I think it's interesting to see you know, kind of how things shook out. And especially if you look at just the Brady side of the equation, right? You know, Here's a guy going to Tampa Bay. I think everybody in New England was shocked when that was the destination and he chose and they start off with New Orleans and you know, it doesn't look like maybe it is good as I should. But it didn't look bad and then the ups and downs this season, But yet When it mattered the most. They put themselves in the position to hit the playoffs with the whole head of steam and a lot of guys that are making great plays. And guys don't understand what it means to be around a guy like Tom Brady. When you contrast that with Bill Belichick. New England Patriots. Most opted out players in the league. You know nothing really working with the Cam Newton experience and a lot of other guys that you know, basically. You know, we're getting it done in the area that they really needed it and as a whole seven and nine. Not good, So I guess the advantage is pretty clear in this one. Danny Amendola may have made a lot of waves today, talking about the Patriot. Wait, and we should have Tom Pate. Tom Brady's name you know, and picture right next to it if there was ever a dictionary Had Patriot way on looking for a definition. To me. It was the the greatness of all you guys. Man from coach to player that made that thing so special. What are your thoughts? You lived it. You were there for the for 11 years. What was it like? Yeah. You know, I think you know Emma Dole is looking at it from one point of view, and I'm not going to say that he's wrong, because if you take it it, it's you know, base value. If there is an image, it is Tom Brady. I mean, there is no arguing, who embodied the Patriot way and just do your job mentality better than Tom Brady. But Let's back up a little bit because it started before he was the Tom Brady that we know today. And, you know, I was very grateful to be a part of that. You know, you go back to 2000 and one And you look at the guys that embodied that same mentality that Teddy Bruschi's that Kevin Fox the Roman fibers, the Willie McGinest, the mic Grable's, and I could Go on for days and days and days, guys I played with those early years. That really laid the foundation of the Patriot way, So you know he doesn't have a wrong. He just doesn't have the whole picture. But I'll go back to this and say, you know when you want to compare Tom Brady to Bill Belichick. And who may you know the better decision Whether it's Brady leaving or Bill, you know, moving on from the Brady era. You have to wait until next season because this season you can't possibly compare those two based on what we went through it. This year, he won three Super Bowl Championship of the New England Patriots, part of three times We made the all protein playing offensive tackle the Patriots, Matt Light, joining Freddie Coleman and Ian Fitz Simmons on Freddy and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio on Sirius XM Channel 80. You said Danny Amendola doesn't have the whole picture did not give out the whole picture. What is the whole picture? Well, listen. I mean, I think it's a lot of guys to buy into, you know Bill system. His approach, which No. Look, I mean, it doesn't get any different than what you see with these teams in the NFL, you know, right now that are playing for the biggest game on Earth. I mean, you talk about Andy Reid and the way he approaches You know his relationship with players. It's a lot different than what Bill Bell check. Doesn't New England They both have had a lot of success. You know, Bill's had you know more than anybody really right. So you have to give the edge to him again. So Don't think that Anyone players experiences the same. I could tell you that being in a locked room for 11 seasons with Bill Belichick, there's not one player that wants to walk into his office and have a conversation because it's it's different. It's awkward is weird, but It works and you all leave there, Whether you, you know, had a great relationship with Bill or not saying I respect that dude, and I think at the end of the day, that's you know how I look at it. I respect the job that Bill Belichick does the Patriot way led to a lot of great moments for me and my family. And for that, I'll always be grateful for Give us your favorite moment walking into Bella checks office from one of those board meetings..

"And on with us on the WTMJ hotline is Eric Brown from siding. Unlimited s So, Eric, I know You're a big baseball guy and everything. I haven't Hank Aaron story and most me most people probably do. Do you have Ah, Favorite Hank Aaron story. Uh, I just I just love the fact that he's just a great guy. I mean, uh, I've been like on Facebook and Twitter on my account size. You know the last, uh well the last day Just seeing how many only a great players Uh, that have that are just responding to him Passing in my favorite one was because he's a Atlanta Braves guy. Maki Maki guy, too. But you know, a lot of lot of his career was down in Atlanta. Chipper Jones Hall of Fame third baseman for the Atlanta Braves posted a picture of him and then Hank Aaron and I just You know you started. You started thinking about that stuff. When, when all that when the great guys that That all look up to him, You know, you know, you know he he was the best. You know, He was definitely one of the great. Yeah, Well, it was one of my favorite brewers early on, you know, watching him. My dad worked for Another station here in town as a photographer for many years, and he got to cover the Brewers at County Stadium, and so in the early seventies, he got a couple balls that That he could hit out of the park during batting practice. And so my brother and I each have a baseball in mind says best wishes, David our best wishes to David. Hank Aaron. I still have that so That's the only autographed ball I have, but it's It's pretty cool. And so I'm gonna hang onto that for a long time. So Uh huh. That's awesome. I just hear that I have chills running down my spine. And I could feel like goose bumps that Z awesome. That is awesome. A big loss for everyone on Route one. So, Eric, we do have Steve from Jackson on the line wants to know about some vinyls and windows. How are you, Steve? How you guys doing? Good. Well, what's your question? Uh, yeah. See better mascot vinyl windows. I'm assuming the vinyl And you can stop him out in Washington inside outside bloody bloody, But I got one. That it takes two men in a small boy open this science and it's the only one on the house that does that. You can close it fairly easy, but you can't open it. I don't know what sometimes lubricant in there or There's 11 thing. The check Esso each each one of your Each piece of glass, So I'm assuming they're all double hung windows that can slide up and down and tilt in and out for cleaning. Um, right when you when you tilt it in theirs, they're called pivot pins and their their little pins in the car. On the lower corner of each sash. Sash is the frame that holds the glass in the place that slide up and down. When you tilt that in Pivots until victims. Well, there's a catch in the frame, so we want to make sure that the pivot pins are inside the slots for the catch. That is the slide mechanism that allowed to go up and down. If those pivots and they're not if they're not in there makes it very, very difficult. Almost like you know, you could be the strongest man in the world and you can't push him up and down. If there is the predictions are embedded in the catch. Then they slide really easy. Um, so that's the first check if the pivot penned are in there properly. Then you can get like a silicone spray toe spray the channel that the they slide up and down on Instead of frame. I mean, you don't know it doesn't take too much to spray all silicone work it up and down and that'll help it. Slide a little a little easier. You you if you Getting in a little deeper. Uh, you probably have what's called a spiral balance. Inside the frame. Now here, Here's where you You might have to remove Ah, a cover on the frame to expose the spiral balance. And if you see it if you can do that, Oh, you don't need to lubricate that spiral balance. And and then that'll help it. Allow it toe slide up and down. I go in that order the pivot pins and if those air in place just check the track with some some silicone spray, and then if that's not it then then the Spiral balance system inside the frame, which typically you can access by move, removing a cover. Then make sure that that's lubricated those spiral balances. Those do fail over time, and they're tough to get back. And they do need to be lubricated all of the windows that we still do not have those anymore. We have. Ah, Block and tackle system that never has to be, you know, lubricated or maintenance or anything like that. But in the past final windows did have that system. So those are the three main checks. Yeah, if you could tackle those should should be able to get it going. I think that the lows, all right, thank you very much. You're welcome. Thanks for the call Steve. We need to take a break. But you can hit us up on the AC unit Mortgage talking text line. 85561616 20 Get your questions in for Eric Brown.

"I'm a little formal I'm kind of old school and the fact that I like the nationally game obviously I was a part of the national a game for a long time there's a lot more strategy there's a lot more thought process that goes and managing an Ashley game than it does the American League cy that being said there's so much money sunk in the starting pitching now that they aren't have become extremely valuable to their ball clubs and let's face it when they get about their and I'm not gonna say all alone because there are some very good at getting pictures out there but most of have a better chance of getting hurt than they do you know having a quality about up there at the plate so I can certainly see where teams would be willing to go to a universal D. H. R. and get the ball out of the hands of the pictures just because of the you know possibility of injury but you know I'm a nationally guy I like the strategy a national a game that's gonna last at all not yet we still are Ching Ming Wong of the Yankees career basically came to an end run around base pass we're on the phone with chipper Jones hall of Famer chipper last question you on the Braves warm the team of the nineties and baseball I mean fourteen straight divisional titles you guys ran parallel basically to what was going on with the Chicago Bulls I know you're a big basketball fan a what were your thoughts on the last dance and what were your thoughts being con in parallel in the nineties to the the title bulls our work it was must see TV I think everybody anticipated that it would be obviously haven't met and J. before was especially intrigued and you know some of the behind the scenes starts on the the you know little mind games that he played with himself to motivate themselves you know each and every night if you will each and every playoff series all that kind of stuff and then the interaction work is teammates or lack there of from time to time it's just fascinating to see what goes through the mind of god who are they did his job in his craft as well as anyone maybe save a Tiger Woods you know you can't convince me after watching this documentary that he's not the greatest of all conduct your own man yes he was a great score you've also what a ten or twelve all NBA defensive player of the year you also he was bringing it up for them there was no load management there was this I'm born to find some way to modify motivate myself to warp your rear end every night and you gotta commend I got for that and not only that he demanded of his teammates a certain level or certain standard of play and if you can get that if you didn't feel like you got that from you he was certainly gonna let you know about it and there were many times you know during those ten episodes where you know it kind of sparked a memory you know back in my career where you know you're under you have to call somebody out you have to pull somebody aside you have the you know get somebody you know and and not wars refreshing to speak Preciado Tom we've been chatted up with chipper Jones hall of Famer it's the J. "First of all Joe I got bad news for you mmhm according to Thornton McEnery we've had on before covering the Mets sale basically A. rod and J. lo have pulled out they are no longer interested in buying the New York Mets that's too bad yeah I love you was always give me a one shot deal of the money right right so they're trying to find somebody or a group that would say here here's the money let's going by my team might could help me out now I know that Mike was interested know that Mike was interested but here's what it says there's no joy in flushing for J. rod has pulled out that's a that's a pretty good opening yeah it's very good according to multiple sources A. rod and J. lo no longer just buying the Mets the decision was reached after negotiations with potential partners failed to materialize and it became clear that the wheel ponds reluctance to part with S. N. Y. makes it almost impossible for anyone without many billions of dollars to afford owning the team so they are staying firm at least for now I'm not including S. and why which made this impossible for A. rod and J. lo pull off interesting so there you go we hardly knew you yeah it was so we'll see J. lo Ned med out after all well you still may see it not just owners who were Yankee you stay loyal to the exotic rocks right you know so far with about a thousand people chiming in David Ortiz is indeed hated by Yankee fans more than Pedro had a fifty nine percent to forty one percent clip J. J. John distress you can hear overnights does an outstanding job right texted me that at their peak it was Pedro bought it's David Ortiz and I could see that in the peak of Pedro hi Joe what he's drilling people memory was injuring people too yeah yeah but I think now that they got the last laugh nearly beat him even in a long time it's it's Ortiz now yeah well to me I mean E. Ortiz is one of the all time Yankee killers I mean let's be honest no doubt there when I take a great Yankee killers he's he's wonderful yeah hi key phone Keith on Twitter points out and we forgot to mention is we do have to add it Pedro threw down don Zimmer he did a lot with Pedro but sides are itching and who's your dad I guess it's just not you know that he was a guide it destroyed your team I guess it's just that not very likable as well I guess that's why I met fans that chase already I guess hello speaking of which I put the met pull up and I include all the different choices because you said Jeter right I said Roger Clemens or really chipper Jones and chase Utley separate those four names up there for as a met fan who do you support say the most and it's a blow out to blow out shipper no it's only really yeah the percent what about so far twelve hundred people voting in the ten minutes spent on I'm surprised I'm surprised so fifty percent only twenty six percent year over year sixteen percent Roger Clemens eight percent Derek Jeter mmhm yeah well I mean I look it's it was a long time ago now tune was up again that year Joe what's twenty years ago now so for chipper Jones I think you just hit on it you know I think you just said on at the end yeah like I said Jeter killed the Mets forever but has that Jordan element to him you know like the Knicks fans had back in which jointly well you know what what do you mean by that they're eating met fans like him no but I I think that he's I don't know how to explain that I don't know I don't I don't know if I don't know if there is something to that you know I don't know if I agree with that because I'm a Jew to kill the match as much as anybody's ever kill the Mets alright let's do it all four of these guys in different ways killed the macular I want expanded expanded Pat Burrel kill the Mets still yeah yeah copper rose there's a lot of guys who have entered the red zone the list is endless right but you know I think you hit on it D. as that is our list of met guys we hate or mostly Mets I know exactly Jason my god right Robbie Alomar calls by a good Lewis Casteel it's endless all orders ship right Glavin yeah I mean I you're a hundred percent right I'll keep you posted if those poll numbers change let me let's get to some of your phone calls it's been a while eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six let's go to Greg in the beautiful state of Utah what's up Greco Utah Hey I gotta say it's more tears it's just hard for me to think of any other bill and worse than him I mean he he threw down the iconic don Zimmer he you start the catalyst of that whole massive brawl I've never heard anything of Lauer's when Louise so would get a hit off him every single time this is the problem it's good problem with the problem was Martinez was he was like you said completely unlikable and you know what to exposici I will say that Ortiz was an underdog I think he came from the twins and was an unknown yeah he made himself so he will provide global legal selected for not not to the extreme of Jeter but I respected him okay he was a player I get you hi Greg Greg Hart point to your point I think that you analyze why you dislike someone so using the Mets as an example those four guys we mentioned in a lot of ways very different you know chase Utley's hatred recently expanded because of the injury to route to hot right I don't know look nothing was ever loved I don't think he's topping this list without that right from for me Clemens what the matchups against Roger Clemens it's not about him dominating the Mets it was about eight he drilled piazza had but more than that the back to back right Jilin chipper just beat the Mets they not bad humans they didn't do anything right awful just beat the metro hall of Famers run took our souls that's what they are yes David Ortiz qualifies as that yeah he's probably a hall of Famer that which is great Pedro push down a senior citizen yeah that's true he's drilling guys in sending them the hospital he starting brawls he's opening up his mouth so Pedro is more of all of that I understand I guess so I think I look at it yeah no I understand I get it because that's how I came to Clemens I mean common didn't kill the Mets as much all right chipper Jeter right but I close my eyes and I think of a name my skin crawls I'll be honest we don't like a I just I can't get past and I'm sure there's a lot of Yankee fans that despite their success against Pedro probably think the same way about him yeah yeah Clemens is very unlikable to say the least no that is a splendid bad shareholding he's never to this day still examining all of the the bowl yeah it does he's arrogant and all around them Marty in Westchester Marty how are you hi nice to talk to and it's a pleasure I like to ask you if you've court the the S. and why the replaying of the nineteen sixty nine World Series week starting on Monday yeah I haven't seen in a while I know that we play from time to time but what was interesting is that well first of all he knows the first two games in Baltimore were in black and white and then last night's game which was a first came back it's a state it was in color also gives the game itself well I mean he's gave me a call to be honest with you I mean I don't know if they get back today in my mind I thought they were in color when it happened right right unless a specific tape that they had made for the games and poor quality of the loan available and and and cold but I mean just watching these games I mean it's such a big difference of course I mean that is not stepping in out in out of the batter's box pitches throwing quickly you know at a quick pace like Jim Palmer last night even Garrick entry then waste any time on the mound and of course the play is want me Ellie I mean they won't muscle at all except I mean going to take into account Powell was that the same morning Powell came up he was big man he was pretty big it said in a lot of ways now said this watching these old games especially in the seventies even the eighties even the early nineties it's a very different game a lot of ways but yeah it look you tell me Joe in nineteen sixty nine most people may have not had color TV's I don't know I mean I remember the series in call you know I mean you can call them usually have yeah I remember watching all those games a call I do you know gotcha I don't remember there being a black and white I mean I I at the time of twenty will reward the time it was already out not will not live my grandparents anymore I don't think we were but anyway I do remember watching all those games a call I don't remember there being a black and white at that point maybe just because of the fact that like I said we had a cult television right because my grandmother was one of the first people ever have a cult television man I remember like nineteen yeah we go by our house to watch certain shows you know to see the peacock Hey you know not maybe nineteen sixty four net range something like that maybe yeah I I would also you gotta keep in mind you know where they got this footage from for whatever reason they weren't keeping these archives as well as the keep it now so here right may have something to do while with while while why those two games are not color maybe Ralph and how would be J. Ralph Ralph how are you Hey what's up guys how's it going all right so this is on the bailable chipper Jones was a lot worse macula and then somebody will ever be given Jones children yes for very long yes yes I agree and the only thing I will say though Joe and I do agree with you but I think certain places get a level of respect and Jeter did not in the mood at school of thinking joining Colby and even Tom Brady but these guys just want it all and I think you just have to look at they are I think he's in a great while to give their spec what they do when they win when it counts but I'm not respecting that does his music I like him yeah I mean look at about does it mean I got like the guy think about this chipper Jones hall of Famer right I respect them but I don't like them I got to like the guy I mean look at the two guys got talking to Jordan no I reckon like Brady I mean what no joke about think about the two guys are talking about with the Yankees Pedro Martinez and David Ortiz Pedro is a hall of fame one of the all time greats N. or tease will I guess be all off and we'll see how they treat your fans like David Ortiz I'm sorry I'm I'm what you want to respect them but is that the other thing I mean I know I'm sorry yeah right now it is at a sixty forty quip Ortiz over Pedro mmhm so it's it's significant and right I mean well you can respect the guys greatness I like them I got a like a I respect Roger Clemens greatness features all the time we will say I mean all of both of us say you should be in all fame but we stand a guy I mean I got like a well no no I it's it's weird who we decide to do I like but I think that in the met case and even maybe the anti case too there's gonna be a recency bias it's going to be what's fresh in your mind if you suddenly injured a guy five years ago in the World Series it was twenty years ago yeah I mean even show even Jeter's along I don't know for awhile but he's feeling of the match was two thousand yet right now so even that's a long time been retired watch six years already junior something like that yeah well we played his game winning hit against your heels when asked what team was in a twenty fourteen twenty fourteen against the Orioles yeah right crazy it's crazy how that whole thing transpired David Robertson blows in the ninth inning yeah to get the game winning here yeah can make it up but I got a job it's coming back putting bracket a pain and five plus a lot more your phone calls it's another to move hi speed it's Jamie progresses employee of the month to month.

"We are joined now by the hall of Famer chipper Jones shiver what's going on and they draw that should be here all my blood sugar do gooder good to talk to you to do all cool is it you go on the radio whatever there you go there's not chipper Jones hall of Famer chipper Jones that get older well done longer you know around the house today because of that though the the H. O. R. before or after the it is last year what about it it would be cool if your kids are like hello hall of Famer Daddy but that's probably asking too much yeah many of those well I got seven or so couple more board can't even say that yes we're in a bottle of the school did you ever Jones out here on the show so so chipper you know I I know the big headlines nationally the biggest headline in the trade deadline was that cranky to the to the Astros which is obviously a hell of a move for Houston but your your Braves they really short of the bull pen what did you make of the front office's decision making and moves at the deadline for the voice and the message that you know the our office is behind the team which nobody should be the first place for a little while all season and you know I would say that there are very few teams in baseball looking out of objective Leviticus don't have some kind of a whole lot more whether it's you know the back into the fold down whether it's bridging the gap store through to closer you know parents death all these things somebody has a hole somewhere and no the Braves the divestiture Ryan you know address whole I know things haven't exactly gotten off of storage for the for the guys that have come over you know other than maybe call answer whose stitched really well is one or two outings but the fact of the matter is is that you have a group of guys down at the end of the book and now that hopefully can eat up six eight nine ten ALCS you know what the at the end of the game to help the Braves you know close out games because the main let's face it I would have to say at least probably once a week you know through the Braves first the two and a half three months of the bowl there was the direct cause of you know a blown leader of once they saw a loss here and there and now hopefully we don't have that that problem as much as we did early in season Jim Jones here on the Jim Rome show bill writer fill in your reference some of the guys now the best start Zack Greinke you got the win last night for Houston his debut didn't pitch particularly well the cubs went out and got a couple guys in Cassiano sin one I think is is first or second game chipper ran the comes out of an inning trying to steal third base I mean whatever it happens but sort of uncharacteristic in your experience watching guys were traded came in your club house of the deadline talking to guys is there a nervous factor no matter how talented you are when you go into a ball club with with some expectations in the middle of the season I don't think there's any doubt I think is you know the feeling of being a hired gun the feeling of being the savior of the ball club is very real it never happens to me personally because I certainly you know we had guys come in whether the no early in my career of Mike Devereaux or Louise along in about off the bench you know in the middle of my career one want to share a came over and and you know we would send copies like matters a lot of pressure here because you know I'm supposed to be in the middle line up with almost on like mark the game is not played any difficulty here in Atlanta that I was in Texas you know it seven hours for almost three shirts all over thank you both as do the things that you've always done to make you successful one in addition you know you'll you'll do just fine and I think you know once you kind of dumb things down and break it down as simply is as you can if you can keep the guys from trying to do too much normally those are the guys that have the most success when I go to the wall tension rod imagines a position player of your stature you're able to have that conversation for for a pitcher who is who's roles at the pool the sides that cranky or a guy in the bull pen and have that same conversation can a position player have that talk with the pictures of guys in the bull pen and that sort of rotation that there are now in the committee usually of constructive conversations go better position player to position player and if you're with your the usual this employers you know trying to kill pictures out of do things usually doesn't work and I know for damn sure well positioned player stamp on it doesn't it doesn't come across very well coming from a picture we had a really good dynamic in our clubhouse John Smoltz whatever was come to me there was some concern for position player and I would address it with said to the simpler and vice versa whenever I have you know an issue with some on the plates inside I would go to him and he would address it with the picture so I really think it's kinda Greek use over and shoes and you know that constructive criticism will probably come better from Oberlander as opposed to an out Tuesday you know what if you know Berliner had a problem with so like that may be going out to the idea on how to relieve you of six so that's that's normally our should be recalled I was pretty interesting I gotta tell ya I I'm taking whatever device chipper Jones or Johnson in my life I was like yes Sir Mr I like judge John school he's that's an intense dude yeah well it's it is what it is you know Charlie by sample you shine you want when you speak you don't want people to roll their eyes smoulder eyes actions so when you street really have some that are close they don't do it every day I think the last thing the warriors should give up on her soapbox and preaching every single day of a you know a two hundred eighty season not gets old real fast and I think two or more you go out there every single day lead by example and you'll be one nights at the equation that helps with ball games more respect you gonna chipper Jones Alzheimer here on the show chipper it's a the NL central is really interesting and I know we got some baseball the play but the wild card race when you got a look at that is really fascinating Washington in Philly currently in that spot but the Mets just keep winning games there in it St Louis Milwaukee at least for the moment on the outside looking in in in their division or are in it what when you see these these teams other a couple that that for you you think have an advantage down the stretch a handle you know and part of the question are you buying the Mets maybe as a playoff team all the sudden I by the minute that's very seriously by the second now granted they've they've won their last six or seven against Pittsburgh kind of mailed it in a month or so ago and then Miami what we say some when you're rolling out Iran Wheeler Syndergaard should grow match I mean there's not a better starting rotation in the big leagues one thirty five and that includes you know the the astral issue I think most people would stay with the acquisition of growing can probably lose to the top line over the top of the list as far as top contenders for the World Series nobody wants a match to get in the playoffs for fear of who they're going to have to face every single time you know whoever takes amounts of the match those guys are all this extremely well right now are you start to see a lot so it homers again really carry the ostensible concerned which could down going down through the poster the rest of the regular season with a hamstring what this ride really high right now I feel the same about the nationals of the three shares are Strasbourg they can experience any nationally team in a in a in a five or seven game series so you know when you really look at the wildcard those are much very rich right now but Hey St Louis always seems like a you know of course there in September so by which shocked me either but you know to talk about a team that could really let's change our international leaked out the the Dodgers right now a look at the mention the nationals who have the biggest opportunity to be able to extend them throughout the an awful five games chipper Jones on the Jim Rome show chipper last last one four and I know I'm getting ahead of myself but if the Dodgers and the Braves played one another in the post season and then LCS or wherever it might be that Dodger team we no offense of Lee that's a murderer's row and and your claim Herschel probably has the third best stuff and that starting rotation opens learn week but how do you think the Braves match up against that that Dodger team if if that series just come to fruition down the road it's pretty simple I think if you can keep for Los Angeles rockers are not chance the the Braves played the darker sheer awhile back in the playoffs and quite frankly no I believe her last year the year before they couldn't keep him in the ballpark and seem like they hit homers early and things home and you know really take the braids out other no other game plan if they can keep the price is going to have to play really well the price going to happen you're starting pitchers are gonna have to keep them in games and and hopefully the breaker and and the doctor's orders and and hopefully get better and because like we as the greater dress you know their weaknesses the Dodgers you know like they have a little bit of trouble virgin make out from starter to telegraph and their clothes are so it's gonna take a really really well play service for the for the place to do it for a laugh the baseball you know it anything can happen and as long as opposed to using yourself opportunity good things mail can I will hop chipper Jones all Thamar appreciate the the the time as a father of two one girl one I love my son but let me just say this man all those boys you have god bless you Sir that's all worked to help local workmen the word out well what are your girlfriend we got a lot of baseball players I'm working on a maybe one more we'll see if I can't come off some researchers don't family all the teams ever does anything Sir they should make a dime Arbor thank you you too chipper Jones on the show eight Jones kids just feel they're all just feel their home feel their own seven boy I love my son Henry I love you man I love you too but boys man that's a seven boys hall of fame dead and hold a baseball player good stuff from chipper "The NBA the only way they can pushing back at lebron disrupting the balance of power it all worked out I mean didn't work out of Europe if you're a thunder fan what we were really close we're going to have the most interesting NBA season I said this is some of the other day and it looked to me like I'm crazy and I I maybe but I don't think in in this case I'm forty one I grew up on Jordan Dubuque Iowa Chicago suburbs back and forth I have not been this excited about an NBA season since Jordan retired the twelfth time or third time or or whatever it was and some of that is because I do believe the level of talent is pretty remarkable the international game in the influx of the people that have brought in but also just not the NFL again it understand it we don't have actually there is not a single team in the National Football League not a single team that if they made the playoffs this year you'd be all early start and I would challenge you to find five teams that they won or made a su boy it would be in a possibility the NFL is built on turnarounds it's built on teams you can't see common the end that idea that every game matters obviously there's a very few of the national football the only sixteen regular season games it creates is drama suspense when you don't know something it's a lot more fun to follow it well my wife likes to we could be the end of every movie that's not me I'm not a read the last page in the book kind of guy and that's with the NBA's felt like it would be like watching game of thrones knowing what happens all right it's going to be whatever team lebron plays more in the east in the war years and last year we got a little taste of what a surprise looks like in the rafters now some of the things the injuries next year there are eight to ten teams are going to be a championship there are eight to ten teams are going to be a champion clubbers can win an NBA championship Lakers can win an NBA championship if click itself to the warriors can win an NBA championship Denver and you talk to when it will be a challenge of actually put some money in Vegas I think I got sixteen to one on on the jazz I love the gym as this year I'm all in on that do I think you're gonna wanna be a championship no one of sixteen one I'll put a hundred dollars down all my money to the guy in Vegas and have them laugh at me as he punches my ticket that's cool bro you do you Portland's probably not gonna be a championship but I think it's in the realm of what can happen Milwaukee can win an NBA championship I'm in I'm in eight now Phil if you win an NBA championship I don't think Boston can cause a **** for but I love the competition and that's before you get into a dragon healthier your from now in theory and planned to basketball with Brooklyn an entirely that's interesting that almost went away and you know how to most went away if Kawhi Leonard I had gone to the Los Angeles Lakers it would have ruined the game for for five years I think I'm Jim show I think on the Jim Rome show bull rider filling in what's up CBS sports network CBS sports radio like I said Adam silver behind the scenes threatened cajoled blackmail do whatever you got to to make sure quite as become a Laker because you would have had I'm on that lebron for doing this thing these unrestricted free agent the Lakers cool I'm not medical water do its thing but Anthony Davis got stolen from New Orleans they took him from New Orleans he was under Connor two more years and the fact that that can happen and almost orderly destroy the equilibrium in the NBA that was approaching that we found ourselves and I think Adam silver understand I think the owners understand that as a threat to their plans to have not chase down the NFL get a lot closer the NBA does really well with young people it does really NBA Twitter NBA Instagram is a thing for a reason in the future right we know this is his enemy internet's already the present the NBA is not a very bright future they can great so much more distance between themselves and Major League Baseball and while you're gonna chase to track down the NFL there are some very smart people there some futurists sports people out there who think they might in twenty years some happen if every single years ago there's the Lakers again that ability for players to breaking the mold the CBA which was designed to create this kind of opportunity that ability of players to take away that list I gave you the teams are going to be a championship that's a threat to the game that's a threat to the association that's a threat to their plans and I have no doubt that's why they're they're firing a shot across which across which falls on the front side because the NBA in the NC double a have been in communications and have been I've spoken to another one another about these moves when the NC double a did something arbitrarily without running a by the NBA the NBA slapped the wrist publicly this is an NBA thing as much as a college it's not gonna matter when the one general goes away from those high level guys this is a shot lebron his power twenty fire back I chipper Jones hall of Famer obviously didn't just talk gonna be on the show about fifteen twenty minutes so what will visit we'll talk we'll do double duty on baseball rob Dibble on the program in about five minutes or so and then around ten twenty "Pretty strong perspective about somebody and I know they disagree there for I'll bring it up here's my view what he got a lot of people come to green's defense why is that wire media members you don't really know that will come to the defense because he works the media well because he's pretty effective a being front facing look he's going to have his own headaches in oak and the Antonio brown thing is it is a reminder of that when you've got talented guys a change teams we've got growing expectations were in the raiders case the need to see that all these moves grid map grid made last year can be effective you're gonna have scrutiny if all the Jay had a foot injury wasn't plane and there was a chance you have frostbite is been reported Antonio Davis and turn around freaking out but grooms able kind of Tampa down handle it manages now I will say this about whether or not there is frost bite to A. B. which obviously would be a colossal colossal problem for the raiders but David shell at pro football doc and he does the asterisk all do a two doctors who don't evaluate players patients up close and personal are unable to make real evaluation does tell the guys telling Karen James that I got a buddy is a surgeon and he's a friend and he's done some work with athletes in one injury seven L. semi tax just randomly speculating what he thinks is going on the role sports I'd say he's got a seventy or eighty percent success rate article that for what you want here's David gel tweeting that Wally as no sources he doesn't believe that A. B. is likely to have frostbite here's one of the tweets quote it just doesn't look like frost bite even if it was that doesn't explain the overland infection still looks macerated for moisture not cold that would be really good news for the raiders those kind of injuries if you have a lasting frostbite injury beyond the fact that a B. or the raiders or someone is going to sue and or be sued to Kingdom Come those injuries don't heal a serious frostbite injury is a long term reality in a long term problem so hopefully what's going on is Antonio brown is just fine has some infection has something else but he's going to be okay and not just because I don't I like Antonio actually we've had him on the on the streaming television show host at CBSSports H. Q. a couple times and is the air again yeah I think both on the told me was the greatest player of all time he's also confident cocky and a hell of a football player and I want to see what Derek Carr can do I like car in car was mediocre to bad last year's numbers a little better than you would actually think but if you watch it was rated games you know we didn't play well but we're not that far removed from the raiders winning a lot of football games they won twelve games three years ago or whatever it was it's a lot of football games lot of wins and Kerr played no I can then be people close to it given Tonia brown maybe I'm wrong and Jon Gruden understands the game intimately in a modern way and certainly there is some precedent for guys being in the television booth and when they step back into a leadership role haven't Hana success Steve Kerr is one of many examples it can happen but the raiders are going to be successful their cars not gonna be successful if Antonio brown is not out there and just what a bizarre way to hurt yourself it actually is a nightmare for me remember the story you're too though and I think was in Vegas the woman who went to one of these cryo technology chambers and then it just closed and she died she was frozen solid and I know this morose and became an awful but you would think that people kind of understand the power of this technology and if you've got a multi millionaire athlete whose worth everything you would monitor aggressively how much of his foot you are freezing how much of his body it it let me do this is a totally toll side note I don't get it I'm good man only live forever I don't need to look like you know forty one when I'm ninety I'm cool without the technology this is good show on Netflix right now there's like five thousand good shows on Netflix so it is obvious or to cut through the noise call another life the lady from Battlestar Galactica isn't it all the people of while the forever be frozen go to sleep I'm cool I'm out I'm good even Tony around actually injured because this book got frozen maybe we should add to a long and hard pause about the benefits of up freezing our bodies for the sake of planes boards and higher level chipper Jones hall of Famer gonna be on the program here general Joe bill water filling in just a minute the Braves didn't go get Zach cranky Greg by the way guys first when yesterday's an astro gave up I think five five runs didn't matter Astros rallied around him in that stole all the headline Jake he's not making moves a lot of headlines but the Braves won out and they got to really nice arms in their bull pen they haven't played as well but there's an adjustment period will visit with chipper about that team about his expectations of the Braves when the post season rolls around the National League central and just the wild car race is really interesting to and I think I said this yesterday I was brutally aggressive toward the Mets and they just keep when baseball games and prove me wrong on that front with a couple games back in the wildcard we'll get gibber gibber take on that kind of momentum the what can mean we'll just talk some some of the news round the majors with chipper Jones when we come back to the program the Jim Rome show after this should be a sports radio update with Andrew Bogut.

"The each time to make the call coal to the legend on baseball tonight all right this is more commonly known as batting stance guys an expert in mimicking this swings in action to ballplayers all across america you've seen him on the letterman show and other platforms and now he joins us here today in the podcasts alleging you can just he can imitate just about every battery you can follow him on twitter at batting stance g as i do gorth thanks for joining us how you doing this morning doing great i really appreciate being in the cold the legends category mainly because i play legend on tv the exactly well and think about it so far this year we've had what roberto more we that chipper jones hall of famers and and you're you're certainly right in that mix on any garden we we have to start with this in a you know it's always been one of those things whenever i've seen you do your thing i think i know how you got your start because i tried to do what you do when i was a kid and i'm assuming it happened when you were playing with a ball with a family member or friend and growing up in central vermont when you know we have the red sox against the yankees are i was a dodger fan i had to imitate you know not only if it was the left hand hit a right hand hitter i hidden inside but i also imitate how that guy bad it is that how you get started.
