"Hey what's the top ten of the best boxers of all time. I feel like it would be a lot closer. To think a lot more people would have would have similar opinions than if he did mount rushmore. Four there'd be so many different guys. But i think at ten you could get a lot of common ground. Where maybe a guy's number one on another list he'd be eight on someone's list but just to see. I think there is a definitive ten. I think hagler is a guy that if not in the bottom of the top. Ten is an honorable mention. And i say that with the most. I'm i'm not going to be the guy that's just because he passed away all he's number one you know. Yeah he's he was fucking amazing one of the best middleweights of all time. You know you know. yeah you know. I love debate in sports. So i think what boxing. What makes it hard. And i had this conversation with a good friend of mine last week actually And we were talking a lot about hagler. The what boxing. What makes it hard as there's so many fucking way classes and there's like unrecognized like like an example like one point. I think it was him. Somebody held like the super middle something way class and like it's not even really like an acknowledged way class you know there's some that like aren't really titles but their titles because you know im- boxing y- everyone that's listening to maybe doesn't know you'll so many different belgium. Wbz you have d- ibn wbo. Oh then you have the consensus ring magazine champion. You have the lineal championship. Which isn't really a belt. But it is but it isn't. Yeah so you have all these different things and explaining it all. It's like trying to explain the star wars saga. that's right. so so they have these divisions. It's not just traditional like we see in the afc featherweight lightweight. They have super. They have metal. They have light weight. Light heavy cruiserweight which is another funky way class. That fits somewhere between light heavy and heavy and anybody out there who tries to give me a clear definition go read the the all the different federations rules on it. You can't we only hear about like everything. Above lightweight they got like they got like weird ones in a lower wage. My uncle was a featherweight champion in the world. You know what i mean. There's like super weird names. Like the really lightweight. An in even like basket weaving weights known. So there's there's some interesting interesting math involved in the way classes. Now i'll just say this to everybody lives in the hagler. Thing is is a devastating loss for the boxing community. He solidified that middleweight division. For a very long time and whenever you get into making lists of doing these types of debates it gets very hard and i tell everybody this in full disclosure you have to be clear you have to be very upfront about the facts and who. They beat who they didn't be because it goes down wormholes even in the ufc. A lot of people get into debates about kabibi being the goat or john jones being the goat or this and i said it would would dana white here. I said john jones know he agreed to me is the go to the us because what he's meant to the ufc and and you know headlining the as many fights to me. Khabib is a is a career unfinished. You know what i mean. He he only fought really six meaningful fights in the ufc. of course..

"I say a fighters career because it's a one on one match up. It's like everybody knows when the yankees red sox put those two uniforms on and they collide anything can happen. It could be a historic moment. That's why people still watch the television when they're on. Yeah it's a rivalry. He knew going into that fight. This was going to be from middleweights supremacy and for the last ten years. Yeah because pretty much they had both beat roberto duran they had both beat all comers. They were in a position where it was like. Okay let's go and let's see what this will be and boom. They went at it and they destroyed each other and they fought and the whole thing was just it was called the war. For a reason it was just an absolute fucking melee and a battle and listen. I love. I loved hagler. And when i saw that news it it made me really sad and i'm glad You know his wife was probably with him. Because you hate to hear about anybody being alone especially a guy like that With the type of career he had he was young. He was sixty sixty six. A lot of life left him. You know i have to believe. Cte played a role in some capacity. I don't know man. I mean it's tough to say. Well we'll find out you know. I think You know he. He didn't overstay his welcome. That's he didn't do he. He didn't overstays welcome and take a lot of losses. He had some tough fights in boxing. You absorb so much so much damage in the preparation in fights itself but he got out of the right time. So i think that hanging on fortunately we all are going to have a little bit of ct. If you get to the high level of a combat sport or contact sport. I should say not even fighting. Just a context. You're going there is going to be you don't concussions. Don't just go away. And i when i tell you what i tell people. A of times is it's not the shots you get hit with the ring. Your bell are the ones that last a lifetime. Once you can accumulate. The you're so callous. To feeling like i'm were you played football year usa kind of getting hit in the head one hundred percent. It's like you don't re- it's the you can get. It doesn't take a lot to get a concussion. And the thing is people are put a number on concussions. I had a friend. You probably know him. I'm not going to say his name. But he he was a guy. Like twelve concussions micro. Yeah you really get into it but you don't twelve times like would you go back to the doctor's room ten times what is it. You don't know really what you're dealing with and what you've had and have been had and it's very hard to classify what you have had in having had so to everybody out there and this is not believe me if i could do it all again. I i'll i'll give you the ronnie coleman answer. I do it all again. You know what i mean. I would play sports again. I would participate. I would get rock fights. Would you know. I got most of my concussions. Outside of my yeah. It'd be a dumb kid but hagler definitely to me in the pantheon of fighters you know he has to. I know he's on a majority..

"Concrete efforts to even do that in a fight the really the only situa- is when a guy would jump up and come down with a lot of force. On spinal ever happened. It would never happen would there. We're told there's a rule is basically the mohawk rule and it goes all the way down your back you can't directly strike the spine. You can't someone on the back the head the neck and that's really the only time you could ever land at twelve. Six elbow is illegal spot. If i was in someone's guard you can't just get it a high level it would never work. I think it's more still here to protect people on the other side of things do people that are making their ways up and things like that but but one night in a sad to marvin hagler. I mean out in the broadcast. I didn't know if you wanted to break the ice. On the show or not. But i figured i'd take the reins and what do you think that sad..

"He's still a guy that could lose two in a row in go on some crazy win streak and i know people say is thirty six years old. He's been some crazy wars. But we're this. is tony ferguson. We're talking about this guy's an anomaly when it comes to toughness in durability and just being just an all around bad asked fighter i mean it sounds kind of like a like a poor poor terminology. This tape onto tony. But it's true the guys the epitome of just a bad ass. Twelve fight win streak is style so dynamic can submit you he can strike with. You can wrestle you. He can blend it all together. Put his own flair on it with the roles and the emory roles and the spinning elbows versatility of his attacks. It's insane but i don't really think this is a crossroads fight and He's going to have his hands. Full charles oliveras no joke. And he's a he's a guy who's he's almost like he. He has a lot of similarities to tony style and they're so similar in a sense almost have the same face. I saw name the other day where somebody's swapped out the top half of their face and they looked like the same guy 'cause they got like the same cheekbones at saint facial structure but back to the back to the meat and potatoes charles. All very. he's got a versitality in terms of his weapons. He's all types initially michigan. The ufc's all bone asleep during the ufc Hope i'm not wrong on those. Like i said i didn't prepare for this but I don't think this is crossroads. Piper for tony i just i just feel like even if he loses to charles all vera. He's still a guy that can turn around. And get on a win streak. And i have high hopes for tony to win this fight because i believe if tony can go out and put charles olivero away. I believe there's still hope. For a habib. Tony ferguson fight and i'm really. I'm really banking on that like i'm really bacon on tony waiting to. Hopefully we can see this be. This is even though he lost it to just engage he. There's still some luster to a habib twenty ferguson fight. Just for the fact we were supposed to see a five times and it never happened. So he goes on beat charles oliveira. We could potentially see. Habib tony ferguson. For habib's thirtieth fight for the fight. The fans have wanted. If this doesn't happen they're going to make a thirty for thirty about the greatest fight. That never happened. They have to really is dude. It's like i. I told when when the fight fell through. During the pandemic i told i told my fiance. Mike confidante. I'm like you know if this now that this fights being made time. It's going to be rolling to get a thirty for thirty. We're gonna get a thirty for thirty ten years about the fight than ever happened but back to the point. Tony ferguson does not across fight for him. Dana white said something pretty interesting today. Would you spoke with the media after the way. And because i think one of the big questions heading into this fight is how much did that beating effects. Tony because tony land some great shots too. But he just has a chin on him he took a lot of big shots against just engage. He that was one factor. Heading an dana white feels that him cutting weight for the card. That never happened and then cutting it again the second time for the gauge you fight. He feels like he didn't want to take anything away from gay but in a way he kinda did he feels that. That was a big factor. In why ferguson didn't have the performance and a lot of people expected them to do. You agree with that at all do you. Do you think there's some solace to that. Yeah i mean i do. I do agree with that. I think that had tony ferguson. Not done the double cut not sometimes can be too big of a bad ass for his own good. You know what. I mean the double wait cuts like that didn't do him any favors As a guy. I know tony i mean. He won the ultimate fighter. Two hundred and seventy pounds you know. He's he's he's not the biggest one fifty five but he's definitely not small. he's got a big frame. I think that that's not this. That's not the smartest thing. But then you gotta turn around and say this was the difference between davidson in merano. I mean they're gonna turn around and three weeks and they both have to cut to make hundred twenty five pounds. I don't like that question could be and served until we get done with this weekend. If you think about it off the top of my head. It's like okay. We're gonna see tony without the double cut. But we're going to see in the main event two guys that are essentially. That's the same turnaround that tony had. He he cut weight and then fought three weeks later. That's that was the correct time line right well. That questions could be answered until we get done with saturday night. You know what i mean. What happens if davidson. I think davidson's a bigger flyweight not trying to go backtracking going back to the main event. But it's like what if davidson shits the bed in. Tony does really good. You know what. I mean then then i think that question be answered but i believe the wake-up definitely affected him. But is that totally true. We're we're not gonna know until saturday night and then on charles lavars part. This is a guy that when on some big streaks did well at forty five just became too much for them went to fifty five and it seems like every time he got a big opportunity just came up short. Paul felder that kind of really sticks out to me but since then seven wins in a row gets a main event. Fight against kevin lee rwandan. The one kenny finally get over the hump and he puts kevin lee away in brazil after kevin lee missed weight. So it's like the best case scenario possible for for all parties involved. That was a very impressive performance. Do you think like this that that's it. That was the fight he needed to to really take them off. Or you just think. Like maybe kevin lee just had a rough night. Like how do you sort of you charles oliveira. I definitely think charles. Oliver has gotten over the hump but i think he did that. With the kevin lynch site You know. I know that. Like back back when i look back on my career. I came ashore in pivotal fights. I lost mas with all then i came short delos on and it's like you need that signature win to get you over the hump and look. He's beat a lot of good guys but kevin leaf. That's the fight. They will put you over the hump like the fans of cardi looked at him as a as a guy. That's this is a top contender. This is a top ten guy you go out and beat. Kevin lead the way you do the way that he did. I mean now you start talking titles now you start thinking this guy. This guy's a contender. This guy's a perennial contender. This guy can challenge a top five guy and beat them. You know what i mean. He's got a lot of weapons and he's changed a lot of things in this in his training camp. I know that he spends time with diego. Lima dentist shoebox I don't know if he was doing that before. The paul their fight but i know that he attributes a lot of his recent success to the time that he's spending down there And he's definitely refocused. I mean the best. We've seen him as one hundred fifty five pounds..

"I get champion. I believe this guy will be ready for. Whatever comes his way It's really exciting. To see flyweight start to gain some traction. Because i feel like some of the best athletes. We've seen the ufc some of the best fighters. They've all kind of hovered around that one. Twenty five one. Thirty five pound weight class so It's a really exciting time for the flyweight division. I feel like we're starting to get to know figure a little bit more. We're we're learning a little bit about some of the odd jobs he's had he's been a sushi shaft. He's been a like a hairdressers. Done all sorts of these different things. We're finally starting to see his personality shine and then you have brannon marino. Who is just the happiest guy in the world but at the staredown figurados doing the whole neck thing ranch smiles and laughs it off. It's such a contrast in personalities but has been so impressive in a lot of people felt like and this is no disrespect. Alex peres because like you said. He's a very tough guy is a very good fighter but a lot of people felt when cody garbrandt dropped off brand marino should have been the guy to fight for the title to begin with. So what kind of do you think he has this fight like. How do you think he matches up with figure compared to maybe perez or joseph. Ben evita's you know this is what's interesting about this is. It's all going to boil down marito being a great guy. You know what i mean like. We all talk about funny and her bubbly personality is he's such a joy to be around him he's just happy guy. He admits nothing but great energy. But it's going to boil down to grit. We gotta see if he can take punishment. The davidson puts out there. And it's still kind of like. I feel like the the flyweight divisions kind of like when i say it's two point on our starting to like we don't have a lot of these. We don't have a lot of answers for the questions. We have in terms of like you know what davidson can do outside of the first round. What is marina. bring to the table. Outside of his character they'll offers a champion of threat. You know before we kind of can predict these things we kind of knew how pseudo or mighty mouse ago or you know. It was kind of easier to predict for now. It's like it's a total new set of problems for anybody that's gonna fight this guy You know we're gonna find out. I think the the brain. It's got to be the the the hard thing about this fight. Is you got to just find a way to get out of the first round without a beating the guy you know what i mean. You're you're going to have to deal with some firepower coming from me to get into firefighter. You're going to have to move around a lot to get out of the first round and start to take over where you think that he can do. Best and that is where where i think he can do. Best which would be you. Know the later rounds of the fight so it it. It's gonna be a tough. It's gonna be a tough first half fight for marina. But if he can get past that i think the he can really make a close fight impossibly when a decision i think that would be as best path to victory. I don't know how much you talk about or think about like the awards that we do. At the end of the year. Like fighter the suffolk davison figuring a wins on saturday. No doubt about it. He's the fighter of the air. I mean there's it's a no brainer at this point four. No new champ defended it twice especially the last three weeks getting to title events like he's the fighter there what a brandon marino wins. Does that. there's it's the brand marino award. I don't know you got to come up with something man because this is going to be. These are the types of scenarios. Were really special. Things can happen. You know what i mean. It's like when like when holly home knocked out ronda. Rousey there was something in the air. You know something there was some type of mystique about this event. The kind of made you feel like like like a holly home. Had a chance where i kind of get the same sensation from marino. I'm like stepping. you know it. It's a big it's a. They're both breaking a record. Fastest turnaround champ tender You know it's a perfect way to to end the paper season for twenty twenty but marino pulls it off which i just i have this weird inclination like the i gotta be around the guy a little bit and it before before his last night i got to be around him a little bit. And there's just something about any we all say that we that davidson has got that. If factor being a champion. I feel like marino does to you know what i mean. A champion is always have to be some rigid tiller. There's nothing wrong with a champion being happy likable guy. You know what i mean. And he's got the skills to match. There's a reason why we wanted to put him in the title fight with davidson in the first place before they gave the press. Obviously there's something there. So i think the key something really special to happen on saturday night and i think it happens. No matter who wins. It's gotta be something special regardless davidson being the fastest champion of turn around and win a fight but marino pulls it off. I mean that's like nothing we've never seen before it would be the best. It'd be the ultimate way to end twenty twenty and we still have a sick nate event the next weekend so then i go on and on about this. I'm just super excited about this main event. It's going to be really fun really fun. Fight for the flyweight division for the fans. Do you have Do you have a pet care which got telling you. Man it's I got to say. I go from marina here man. I just there's davidson's dominant champion. He does does davidson win. There's a really good chance he wins. Do i think that's the most highly likely both probable outcome of the fight. Yes i do something. Just something in my guts like. Give this kid a chance. I'm gonna pick marino. And if he does it it's going to be in the late rounds probably a decision. I'm a gut picker. Two men like sometimes you just feel it. There's no technical breakdown reason for it. It's just something you feel right. Yeah and it's it's hard to wendy's guys are turning around like this. It makes it more of a coin. Flip in my opinion when when guys get to twelve weeks to prepare for each other and you get more time to kind of dissect words like these guys like. You don't really have camp to train for your opponent. you're just maintaining what you have in going into it. You know what i mean so it becomes a little more of a coin flip in my opinion but nonetheless it's gonna be exciting. Both guys got a good good path to victory. Marino's is definitely be a lot harder but something about it tells me the mexican mclovin is going. Get it now. I love that. I love to. And that's the main event before that happens. Tony ferguson is gonna fight. Charlie charles olivera and the coleman event like this is unbelievable. This i wish. I wish a comb. If there's one co main event i'd like to see for twenty five minutes. This would be the one. I'd like to see for twenty five minutes. The word that i keep hearing a lot. Michael is crossroads. Like this is a crossroads. Fight for tony ferguson. Leg if he wins you know off to the races once again but if he loses to straight he got beat up pretty badly by just engaged. Do you feel like this is a crossroads. Fight for tony ferguson. Or do you think we're kinda kinda give it too much stock based on the gauge fight. I don't think it's a crossroads. Fight a guy like tony ferguson..
Many Latino voters in Nevada are worried about the climate
"In Nevada, about twenty percent of voters are Latino and a growing number are deeply concerned about climate change. A recent poll found that almost half the states Latino voters say they were personally affected by climate change. In the last year, we look at it as not only amateur the environment we're also looking at ESA health aspect. Rudy Zamora's with Chiesa Nevada program of the League of Conservation voters. He says many Latinos know firsthand how rising temperatures can worsen other problems for example, care pollution. How does the climate change impact our communities health? How does that impact the way that our children are breeding? For Zamora the concern about air quality is personal about two years ago. His young son suffered a frightening asthma attack. It was so bad that his son went into respiratory failure and cardiac arrest. and. He says, his son is not the only one to have such severe problems. Many people in the community struggle with asthma. So, with the November elections approaching cheese Bene- VADA encourages Latinos to compare candidates positions on the environment and then vote. Climate is going to be one of the top priorities on why we go out and vote.

Do they do what you tell them not to do that's why that's why I think. So many fighters get drawn to shooting because I I said you go. It's the ultimate. It is the hall I'm excited to get into I. told my I like I was telling you before the show I'm like I told my fiance I'm going on the job Bartolo show this guy's already without even talking to him in-depth I'm already like thinking I need to buy a gun safe I'm going to start expanding. She's like Oh God I'm like I was like don't tell me not to do it because if you tell me not to do you know what I'm GonNa do right. She's like all right do whatever you want. I'm like, yeah. I say it all the time. I'm like it's the ultimate like it's like once you start training whether it's tactical or hunting it's a certain primal thing that you know it satisfies. Urge to get out and fricken live man and like you control everything you're you learned to control your own safety, your own self defense. It's the ultimate in. That's the big thing for me is it's not like yeah, I like shooting anytime gone shooting. My friends have always enjoyed I've always had a blast, but it's getting to the point now with the world we're living in. I hand to hand combat. I'm confident gay like I know how to handle a guy worse not to man you know what I mean but this is the real world in rarely do things work out that way a man fight usually turns into one guy verse eight you know what I mean or for centuries into you versus a guy that wielding a knife or a gun. So now I'm getting to this point in our yes. I want to expand into this realm of shooting and guns for fun. I'd like to do some tactical three gun show. We're going to set that up. Yeah but but. The. Most important thing is I want to be learned how to defend myself more I WANNA be able to know that if I go out in public I'm armed properly I. Know to handle myself if I get in a situation like Boaz. Telling me about the the truck racer out here the WHO's the guy that lives J. Bj he told me that story and I'm like dude that is just mindblowing blowing that could have been me last night I was walking onto eleven at night and my flipflops going to the gas station Gatorade and I started thinking about that story. told me I'm like dude. Now, I'm now I'm we myself world's a weird place. Right now it is. You know it's a weird place right now you never know what's going to happen where and when and how it's going to happen and it's created awareness. So you know it's hard right now to balance that and it's hard right now to to understand where the I guess the word, the threat would come from. Yeah. So everybody's kind of. On on tens you know right now in terms of situation awareness and just their heads around swivel. So figuring out where you know you feel confident that you can defend yourself again, it comes back to the management of distance, right?.

"Will have to carry him through this and I hope I don't eat my words but I think Mike is going to have to carry this guy for a few rounds before he puts them away otherwise, it could be a one round blowout I think. So. To Go. I WANNA. Go back to go forward. Selfishly, I would've loved to see the Tyson Holyfield fight because you touched on that before Tyson went to prison I think everybody wanted to see that before prison because he was a very different fighter. I think Roy Jones is troll. I think there's a little bit of gamesmanship going on. he might be taking the other side of it. I. Don't know I'd have to see the kind of shape. He's as it gets a little bit closer but you know, I, the speed you're right is the first thing to go. So what he'll have I don't know but I think I'm not gonNA say like Tyson's this master of like managing his his gas tank either. So you know you know it's GonNa be really interesting as these guys carry each other into the third or fourth round where that plays out and you know I I don't know. Look if they both make money and everybody's entertained particularly even on the undercard that's where the undercard starts to matter and everybody feels like they got entertainment out of it. Everybody's GonNa be happy. Nate Robinson the basketball survey. Fight. He's fighting. May Robinson's fighting? I. Think is a Social Media Guy I like one of Paul's. Or something the one here's another question is there going to be drug testing? No, it's an exhibition. Told me come on. I know. That's that that was a hard. No, that's I would hope so I mean the these guys need to get on a little something. Yeah. That's a harder fifties. You need a little test you. Know there's no, there's no chance. I mean. You know you don't WanNa see guys to gassed out in because it looks it looks cartoonish. But yeah, I think that Tyson look like Terry Tater. So. But you know I think that it's going to be a fun thing and if the undercard entertains in, they don't disappoint and if they go three to five rounds. Because they let them go five five, you know what they need to do. They need to do co main event. They need to do the long wait and fight we never saw the Tito Ortiz Dana. White fight remember how Thing for a while. They did the bad blood. So like Dana, waivers Tito Ortiz. But that's the beauty of this, right? Like you can see a lot of weird stuff play out in a lot of different stuff and especially you know with you the reason it's fun to bring up is because you're in a loaded division, there could be so many iconic matchups that could become iconic match ups and one of the things I guess I don't want to say I don't like about the UFC because there's not a lot. I. Don't like about the US. It's just more because of the nature. Of Your careers in how you guys fight, you don't get those trilogies that you get in boxing. They're very rare..

"Kind of liked that stuff because I'm a I'm a huge fan. So nostalgic then and Yeah I still is enjoy music. So I. Still Love that Shit. So anytime, you have the opportunity to kind of. Nobody likes to see their heroes old but anytime you get, you get to see something kind of rekindle that I think it's fun. The only thing that's going to be a problem with the with the Tyson fight. Is. There's going to be a lot of problems is the fact that when Andy Foster came out, who's the Athol the the head of the Athletic Commission California and he started talking about the fight and he's like the this is the groundwork there's somebody rules are going to be I'm going to let these guys do it without headgear in California Ted do an exhibition gotta wear headgear he's like I'm going to let these guys wear headgear but under the good faith that they're not going to try to knock each other out this is a friendly exhibition will Mike Tyson comes out and is like fuck I'm not Friendly, exhibition my ass I'M GONNA. Try to knock this out and. Mike Tyson you think I don't Mike Tyson knows how to have a friendly. There is no exhibition to Mike Tyson fight is a fight that guys mentality he's not he you couldn't say like he might keep it friendly. Let's not try to knock each other out but this is a fight under the lights under the you know. You can't tell this guy to like lighten up you know ten years ago we drooled for that fight Oh you know what? In the city the city is I wouldn't say this Shitty to some people they say it's Shitty. Some people think that it's almost gluttonous that we're like excited about this fight like. We're so bad for excited. I don't care I I remember watching Tyson. Holyfield one in two when I was a kid. But I never was an adult I never got to fully grasp what I was seeing I. Didn't i. didn't know the magnitude of iron. He wants to give them hope again this. ABC's Roberta Bell has that. That story Mason Buffalo puts the headstone at the base of the white cross that marks cousins grave. Holy I'm just GONNA emotional denison Thomas not birthday other. He maintains the Samson cemetery in Moscow. Chief for she's buried alongside three of their other cousins who all committed suicide before they turn thirty. Look all my family here. China's young firefighter with alcohol with mental health and with loss in a community of sixteen thousand people. He says it surprisingly easy you to feel alone. That's why he's dedicated himself to being there for other in person and in spirit. If I wasn't doing what I'm doing right now then I wouldn't be here. I'll probably be buried in Vevey to guaranteed I would have been here in our fight instead helping other people off breath this is his story. Mason walks through the field behind his dad's two story farmhouse. where he grew? Up on the Samson Hamson cremation in Moscow chiefs all get behind his dad. Patrick Buffalo is a rancher and a hypnotherapist and Reiki master astor the reference point for most people is the past and their experiences. That's where they're stuck is in their memories. After Mason became a dad himself at fifteen he took a job with the fire. Department is a fire department. You don't know what call your on on his first day. The very first call it came in was about his cousin ferron three years later it was his cousin. Tyrel seem more. I looked lifeless. Die Total soda from their guts on my life went downhill fast for one full year. Not Something I didn't WanNa live. Noma Mason left my asquith cheese for Toronto. That's where he was when his dad called him and told him his cousin cody had died by suicide. I didn't even have time to come back and pay my last respects for cody. And it's tough especially for if people would what we're GONNA do some analysis step up and take the lead so he came home if you ask them to describe himself now. He says. Suicide side awareness advocate if our thought all my life and what. My plans are in everything that I didn't think I'd be what I'm doing. When he got back he started his first of many community initiatives walking and spirit so with all this as like when you commit suicide is there? Aside a day every year to walk the reserves royal roads carrying handmade signs mementos wearing shirts shirts with the names of their loved ones written across their chests. My heart breaks into a million pieces each day on picking up these pieces and getting my hard-backed together and health and people helps me. Mason says the number of suicides look like they've gone down at least in Samson for him. The work is year are long and a part of everything he does. This team of horses at his father's ranch makes frequent trips to to the cemetery. Three funerals doing within the leaf they pull rehearse with big spoked wheels and light pink curtain toppers with tassels hanging from the top of the glass window on every side. It was an idea that Mason and his dad had to give community members that last ride. That's not all the horses to though. They're also helping people to heal nestled in the snow. Coated trees to the east of Patrick's barn is another project with his son. Mason came back and then he started making pass and clearing the bush and we bought a cabin set up a TV. They call it was dossier village. It's a place ace where people visit to confront their trauma. Going for a ride in a wagon with a team of horses is a very therapeutic. Super Bowl LIV Preview
"Today ahead of Super Bowl. Fifty four we break down just what to expect when the Chiesa. He's the niners square off on Sunday. I mean at times it's Thursday January thirtieth this espn daily presented by Dell small business. We are on radio row right now. ESPN daily is in the back There are radio stations across America. ESPN shows everyone is at their booths. Interviewing players analysts celebrities stars. And we've got one here with us. Dominic foxworth radio row is madness. It always ban is but it's like three hundred people gets bigger and his crazier every year. Well Luke speaking of madness this game people having trouble picking the winner I think because it truly feels like the two best teams made it to the Super Bowl. I feel like I'm just GONNA. It was Patrick Mahomes. Because it's not GonNa be fun rooting against him. We'll be more fun rooting for him than against it. Let's start by talking about patching mahomes chiefs offense versus the San Francisco Forty Forty niners defense. Which is sort of the strength on strength matchup in this game? I think history would favor San Francisco because the recent super bowls elite defenses. Have come out on top. The two thousand fifteen Denver Broncos the two thousand thirteen Seattle seahawks. We don't need to talk about what happened near later. The two thousand eight steelers ninety six packers list goes on typically offense loses according to our friends at stats and Info so the niners are the sevens team in the last fifteen years to make it to the super bowl with fifty five or more sex the other six teams all won dominique. We've seen how disruptive active this pass rushes the secondary ranks near the top of the League in stopping deep passing as the linebackers fast they can move laterally. Which is the chiefs specialty with their sweeps and screens? And all that said tell me how the chiefs offense can still beat them. I mean I have never seen the chiefs. Offense actually be stopped in any legitimate way especially with a healthy Patrick mahomes and he is healthy. And that's the difference is when we've seen great defenses. Losing the Super Bowl. It's been all time great quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers one of the people who did I did not think Patrick Mahomes is obviously in that category. As far as this town is concerned. If you were the niners defense how would you defend Patrick Mahomes this explosive chiefs passing attack. So I think you have to mix it up. That's the best thing you can do. And you also have to understand that you're not gonNA stop them. They're GONNA make plays they're going to score points. But you need to try not to give a big play. Touchdown don't stress about them getting to the red zone but play well in a red zone which the forty niners haven't been doing which is scary. It's interesting right. Yeah the the niners defense ranks. Thanks near the top in most statistical categories this year. But you're right. They have been less. Efficient are actually been below average in the red zone. They've struggled to stop the run there. which cheese haven't really been running the ball lately? They've also struggled this season against mobile quarterbacks now that requires an enormous caveat which which is that D. Ford niners pass rusher at Kwon Alexander. LINEBACKER missed a lot of games during the regular season but you look performances against Cuyler Murray Lamar Jackson Russell Wilson. You saw those were the games in which they struggled a little bit more for what we've seen from Patrick Mahomes in this postseason is is an insane ability to take off the football as the leading rusher for his team and the playoffs so far and I think that he's always been comfortable with it now that his knee is gone a little bit unhealthier. He's more apt to take off. But I think that's less scary the him getting outside of the pocket throwing like I'd almost rather him try to run it for twenty yards. Because what happens win. He buys time against the forty niners. Specifically they're not traditionally man coverage team but everything turns the main when the quarterback starts to scramble like. That's your your scramble scramble roles as a defensive back or linebackers find closest guy and stick to them everything tires demand at that point in there they just frankly. The forty niners don't have the secondary speed speed in secondary and to be fair to them. No one has a speed and a secretary to run with McColl Hartman and tyreek hill specially with the arm. That Patrick Mahomes has the the chiefs are the best st passing team in the NFL or close to it. The San Francisco Forty niners are the best at defending the NFL or close to it. Something has to give live. How do you even begin to defend all of those weapons? especially if you're the forty niners you play a pretty simple cover. Three quarters mixed in there. Do you change it up. What do you do with Rick Chairman? You have to change it up. You can't survive and covered three. Andy Reid loves four verticals and with that speed and in Patrick mahomes arm strength and accuracy. He will eat you alive in the same with four verts. Would it really comes down to is pressure which is why I think that blitzing is a smart move. You WanNa make them get rid of the ball quickly and tackle but you're not gonNa do it every single time and if you give him one opportunity unity he can make you pay so you need to get the Turner was when you get those opportunities. I think they should be more aggressive than they've been and try to force them to get rid of the ball and make tackles. Yeah if there's been a weakness in this defense dominique. It's been the other side of the field for Richard Sherman originally weatherspoon more recently. They've been playing a manual. You'll Moseley a corner. He's been better but undeniably. That's an area of the field. I think the chiefs would like to target so much of the performance of the San Francisco Secondary. It depends on the pass rush getting home and you know as a former DB pass rushes the secondary's best friend a lot of the great statistics we've seen from the secondary can dairy are the product of this pass. Rush being so explosive a pass rush that turns into a murderer's row. Win The big four Defoe Award. DEFOREST Buckner Eric Armstead and it boasts are all on the field when those four players are playing their sack ratio. The percentage of drawbacks drawbacks in which they get to the quarterback jumps from six percent to twenty three percent twenty three percent of the time. They're taking the quarterback down So Eh my question to you is they've been able to get a lot of pressure by just rushing four. Do you think that they'll have success against a chief offensive line. That's probably one of the better offensive lines they faced aced. No now. It's just for. I don't think they can be able to stop him. The more I think about it in a way that you framed that I think made it very clear my mind is I think they're going to have to flush them out. You got to get him to run with the football or get them uncomfortable to get rid of the football. Because I do think that the chiefs offense line is good enough that they're not just going to get massacred. And then you put on top of it. The chiefs offense is not one that killed by a fact like most offenses. If you second now it's second and fifteen second eighteen it's over it's third and twelve. It's over over. It's not true for the chiefs offense so they can get pressured they could get a sack. Can Patrick Mahomes can make a play in overcome that so I think that the the worst thing they could possibly do is believe leave. Their Front for is going to be enough to stop this chiefs offense so far this postseason what we've seen from Patrick. Mahomes is a record performance. I quarterback in NFL history to throw for two fifty at rush for fifty consecutive games in a postseason. Do you think he keeps it up. And that's a difficult question because yes you can think he'll play well but we're talking about playing at historic level. I think he does keep it up and I think I've said this a lot in to the point where people make fun of me is that he's never had a bad game and that's one of the most mind blowing. I guess you can call it that you see from a guy who's who's just been starting for two years played a lot of games and there's never had a bad one like mediocre is the worst as you get out of them in in the big games. He's been fantastic gets thirteen touchdowns. Yeah no interceptions in his playoff career. And I know it's been said Ad Nauseam nor is why they are in Super Bowl last year because of off someone lining up offsides so like I've yet to see him shrivel into big moment he only seems to get bigger and until I see him Have a tough outing going to lean in favor
