A highlight from Bitcoin Has A New Super Whale! (2024 Bringing Explosive Gains)

"Good morning, everybody! It's time to discover crypto. It is September 25th. It's 1133 A .M. Eastern Standard Time. It took us a few minutes to get ready today, Tim. Was it your fault? Probably, yes. It's probably his fault. We got Drew on the ones and twos. And, Tim, how are you doing today, Drew? Oh, I'm doing great. Couldn't be better, honestly. Alright, me and Drew were talking. We might try to get that MRV video out today. Folks, I might also put out my cold plunge footage. I got to upload that and everything. So, it's going to be a good, good show. Today, we're talking about MicroStrategy. Just bought more Bitcoin. We're talking about how much Bitcoin does Coinbase hold. It's a whole lot and it's a lot more than you thought. Also, we're talking about the Expiry on Friday, Tim. Yeah. Now, what are your thoughts on the Expiry? I mean, it's going to be a little... It's a lot larger than the last one. I think it's about 4X the amount of money that's in this week's. Yeah, it's a very large one and it's going to tell us a lot. There's two things I really take away from it. First of all, it kind of gives us a good indication of what price is going to do this week. And then we got to wait to see what happens on Friday, but we'll talk about that level later, I think. If we don't get to that level, we could see that move below $25 ,000 we've been talking about for a while. And also, we're going to talk about Chainlink, everybody, and some fake Aptos floating around. So, that's going to be a pretty fun story there. Alright, let's refresh. Make sure we got the freshest crypto pricing available. And it looks like the market cap is down, folks. We are down 0 .8%. We're coming in at $1 .08 trillion, 24 -hour volume, $32 billion. And Bitcoin dominance coming in at $47 .2. Gas is almost triple what it was Friday when we were doing this. It was 29 Gwei today. It was 11 Friday afternoon. Bitcoin is bouncing a little bit on the hourly. Same for Ethereum. They're up 0 .5 and 0 .3. But down for the 24 hours, you see Bitcoin down 1 .4%. Any levels you're looking at, Tim? We got Mr. T .A. Tim here. For Bitcoin specifically or for anything? Yeah, for Bitcoin. So, again, we'll talk more about those levels. But there's something about that options expiry and that level being $26 ,500. I'm not expecting price to go too much away from that. I think there's even a point where in the week we could get a little over that, then come back down. This happens a lot when there's a big number for options expiry. Price doesn't get that far away from it because the traders want to keep it right there. But then watch right before the expiry happens. My suspicion, Deezy, is it's going to be below. It's going to be bad. And I think we might have a good little fall on Friday. And, well, depends where we're at because a lot of times it acts as a magnet. It wants to pull the price to $26 ,500. Right now, we're at $26 ,200. So I expected to end up getting pulled to that price like a magnet towards the end of the week there. We have Rice hanging out. Hey, what is going on, Rice? Rice in the chat. Hey, make sure you go follow. If you see him in the chat, go click on it. You see his channel. Make sure you're subbed if you're not already. We have ETH down 0 .6%. We have BNB down 0 .8%. XRP leading the losers of the top 10. It is down 2 .3%. And Cardano, in a weird way, besides Solana, performing pretty decently here. It is only down 0 .2%. Solana is actually up 0 .3 % while Ethereum is down 0 .6 % and Bitcoin down 1 .4%. But let's look at the top gainers here. Oh, I see a good juicy Chainlink pump. What is going on, Drew? Yeah. You're feeling good about it. I'm feeling good about it. I've been telling people to buy Chainlink. My 3 .2 should have been 4 .2, man. I'm missing out on that one Chainlink pump. I know. My heart goes out to everyone distracted by drama because Chainlink is crushing it. Yeah, yeah. Me, I'm focusing on crypto prices. I'm focusing on crypto news. And I'm focusing on bettering my situation as we get closer and closer to the halving and then beyond. I think the next 12 months after halving will look pretty good for Bitcoin. All right. Well, let's look at the top gainers. We have Aptos leading the way. Aptos is up 3 .7%. There were some counterfeit Aptos tokens. Is this, you know, maybe the team, the community pumping the token? That way, if you see, oh, a bunch of bad Aptos news, let me look into it. Oh, it's the best gainer of the day. Oh, it must not have been anything. Maybe there's a little element of that going on. Number two, though, we have Chainlink. Chainlink pumping up 3 .2%, up 8 .2 % for the week. Frac shares up 2 .9%, and ImmutableX is up 2 .2%. Was 3 .7 % just an hour ago. I actually have two of the top four coins here. I can't believe it. I'm assuming I'm going to have zero losers in the biggest losers of the day. Can I get any thoughts on SEI from JA? Get forward. Well, one, you got to get a Chevy or a Honda. That's your first problem. SEI, I don't really have any. We'll look at it as the top losers and the top gainers. All right. After that, though, we're seeing ImmutableX, then ThorChain, then Law Enforcement Officer token, then we have Bitcoin Cash up 1 .7%. But after that, it's going below 1 .5%. Really not seeing anything too crazy. Now we're going to the losers. We want to make sure your coin is not in the biggest losers of the day, and the best way to make that happen is to hit the like button. That's what I've heard. I don't know if it's true or not. Whoo! Radix is down, and it is down heavy, folks. It is down 11 .9%, and WeMix is up 65 % for the week, but it is down 8 % for the day. You can see it just cracking in the top 100. That's why we haven't really been used to seeing WeMix. It looks like it's just now getting in the top 100. Then we have Render, then we have Optimism, then we have EOS, then we have XRP. I have a small bag of XRP, but I have nothing in the top 5 there. Radix, have you been ever trying to trade? Radix get in and out. You always see it in the losers and gainers. No. So one of the problems with trading altcoins, especially when you're using TA, is some of those altcoins, they can move very quickly without TA helping them. So those ones, you definitely have to get in, be aware of what's happening with adoption, be aware of what's happening with stories. The charts still help, but the charts can't give you the complete picture. And I don't do a lot of digging on little altcoins like that. Yeah, Radix down 12%, but up 6 % for the day. So people got in a week ago. They're still looking good, even though they're down almost 12 % right now. Let's see. So what was that? The Super Chat coin there again. SEI. SEI. I don't know how to pronounce it. I always see it up there. Well, it's a newer coin, correct? Yeah, it's a newer coin. I mean, it's a new coin. It's going to be too soon to kind of give it any real data if we click. I just want to get that spike off the axis there. I mean, it looks like it's bouncing off that level. I mean, very, very limited TA. Looks like market buyers are buying it when it hits that level. So maybe they'll continue to buy it, but maybe they'll quit buying it. Maybe it falls through that support. Yeah, the charts. There technically actually is a little bit of bullishness about it going on. Definitely hitting in a place flashing oversold.

"And number two is really what's happened to companies' business with China, because we've seen some surprises so far where companies that have a big share of business their and growing business with China have been disappointed because the demand there is really slowing down. So I think that'll be an interesting take to see what companies are hurt as Chinese growth slow down. But basically, I looking think we're for modest, moderate growth. And next year is an election year. It seems like we've been in one for four years anyway. And I think that'll be another decent year for the market. All right, Margie, thanks so much for joining us. As always, Margie Patel, Senior Portfolio Manager at Allspring Global Investments. Matt, if we had any movement of note in the auto strike from the UAW or either the big three? I there mean, have been higher offers from the automakers and lower demands from the UAW, but they haven't made a deal. you And, know, I think everyone's looking forward to Friday at 10 a .m. It's become a weekly appointment with Sean Fain, the president of the UAW, to make a Facebook Live announcement. And we'll hear what comes next, but we're starting to see more and more layoffs from from the automakers because of, you know, as knock on effects of the strike. So, you know, if you close, say, assembly an plant in Chicago, parts suppliers near there are needed less and so they'll start to lay off workers. Those numbers are climbing right now and we're starting to see a little bit of inventory. That's what I want to go with. I mean, typically I know they're carrying less inventory than they used to. Sure. A lot. So they used to carry way too much. Way too much. Right. And so now I'm not sure. Sure. You know, last week at the end of the week, we were around 60 days in terms of inventory, maybe 50. And that's so coming down a little bit and dealers, certain dealers are starting to feel the pain because, you know, if you are, say, a Chevy dealer and you have less inventory, but you've got a Kia dealer down the street who's still jam act, somebody needs a car now is going to go down the street. And then Ford Bronco. That's the one that I see all over the place. that. Love That is a good looking vehicle. I love the power plant. I love the design. I feel like the interior is a little bit chintzy, but I'm willing to give up on that because who cares with the top down, right? You feel like a high people are driving that car around. That's right. I see a lot of the homecoming King, right? Exactly. And they're all over the Jersey Shore. I can tell you that. So good for them. But again, if you start going to a Ford dealership and they tell you they don't have any inventory, it becomes then a problem. So we'll see how the dealers react during this ongoing strike. Right now, to Washington, D .C., we'll get more of the national news with Nancy Lyons. Thanks, Paul. Now that Kevin McCarthy has been removed from his post as House Speaker, several questions still loom, including what happens happens when a stopgap spending measure runs out November 17th, we get more from Bloomberg's Kaylee Lyons. The government funding that was agreed to in the continuing resolution of last weekend that led to McCarthy's downfall in the first place only extends to that date. And the issue is right now we have paralysis in the House. Really, the only thing that pro temp Patrick McHenry can preside over is a speaker vote. He can't preside over usual business. And that speaker vote isn't even scheduled to happen until next Wednesday. Bloomberg's Kaylee Lyons says the speaker vote could take some time considering the last vote took 15 rounds. Congressman Jim Jordan has confirmed he'll be running for the position. Majority Leader Steve Scalise is also a likely candidate. This afternoon President Biden will be detailing latest his efforts to cancel student loan debt. The White House says he's canceling an additional $9 billion in debt for 125 ,000 borrowers through changes to programs intended to help public servants, those with disabilities, and low -income borrowers. More than 75 ,000 union workers are now on strike against of one the country's largest health care providers, Kaiser Permanente. The three -day strike could stall services for nearly 13 million people in at least half a dozen states. Sarah Levesque is on the picket line in Springfield, Virginia. course Of we want wages that keep up with the cost of living and we want to be better staffed. We don't want to have to work rushed. We don't want to have to work short staffed. Levesque and other union workers Kaiser say has cut workers through attrition, leaving them understaffed. The company denies those claims. WSJ: Biden's Summer Regulatory Onslaught

"While the goon squad had us distracted. Do you notice on Friday there was a big bump of new Biden regulations that came out that are going to change your life? Really? I haven't heard about that. Yeah, course of you haven't because the media doesn't want to tell you. Not just was our credit rating downgraded, which is going to affect the dollar's status as the world's reserve currency potentially in the future, but it's going to affect interest rates coming up soon. Biden also unleashed a regulatory onslaught on Friday that's going to change just about component every of your life. No. Yes, sir. You want a little read it in the Wall Street Journal. Biden's summer regulatory onslaught. You know what happened on Friday? Well, everyone's distracted. Biden changed the cafe standards for cars. What does that mean? It's fuel economy standards that bizarrely the federal government gets to impose upon fleets. The bottom line is Biden made the average fuel economy standard for cars and his administration so high that the only way to meet the standard would be to eliminate this little thing called the combustion engine. The engine, combustion it has only been used since the advent of the Model T probably before that in other ways. But interesting that they just want to wipe out the gas powered fleet all across America. And they want you to buy, or want you drive to around in little chevy vaults and they're not even making those anymore I don't think. Here, the transportation department proposed a nearly 700 page rule raising cafe standards that would effectively require 100 % of new cars to be electric by 2032. Isn't that fascinating? While we were all distracted, internal combustion engine be damned. We're all

Jerry Ford's Surprising Relationships & Decisions

"That was it. And I do want to talk about two incidents which are separated by hundreds of pages. The gridiron in 1976, Chevy Chase's roasting him and Ford just completely self deprecates it. We look for the audio and we couldn't find it probably not there. And then flash forward decades and Chevy Chase is a patient at the Betty Ford center. Jerry Ford here watching misses Chevy Chase and Betty Ford trying to fix the video camera and Chevy wants to intervene in the president says, no, let's leave that alone. That's a very funny anecdote, Richard Norton Smith. Well, so what, you know, what has that's one of the things people will discover that there was a relationship with Chevy Chase. A lot of the relationships, Hugh Carey, democratic governor of New York, who was sparring with Ford across publicly over New York dropped dead, the whole headline, the Ford never said. The amazing thing. You carry voted for it. Against Jimmy Carter. Hugh Carey told me Jerry Ford has never gotten the credit he deserved for saving New York. What she meant was saving New York from itself by applying a tough love policy. He lost New York State and with it he lost the presidency in 76, but it's one of the decisions that look awfully good. 30 or 40 years old. There are many. We're going to talk

'Park outside': GM recalls 40,000 pickups to fix fire risk

"General Motors has issued a recall and a warning for certain newer models Chevy Silverado trucks because of a fire hazard. Here's an important warning for those who own certain Chevrolet Silverado medium duty pickup trucks. From model years 2019 to 2023. The vehicles may have a brake pressure sensor assembly that allows brake fluid to leak, causing a short circuit which could lead to a fire. Either when the vehicle is moving or when it's parked, owners are being urged to keep the vehicles outside because of the fire risk. Don't park them in a garage, which can catch ablaze. The recall effects tens of thousands of 4555 165 hundred HD models, which again should not be parked near a structure until the issue is repaired. The trucks built before a model year 2019 have a different design, and they are not affected. I'm Jackie Quinn

Many Conservatives Are Choosing to Leave Crime-Ridden Liberal Cities

"So many conservatives, many of our fellow brethren and sister have said it's time to surrender. It's time to wave the white flag and we have to abandon the cities for the sake of our businesses and the safety of our families. We have to pack up the station wagon the Buick. Yes, I know people don't drive station wagons or buicks in it, but just go with me here. You have to pack everything in and like Chevy Chase a National Lampoon family vacation you hit the road. Get the dog, get the ant. Get pack everything and get out of Dodge. They say it's a lost cause. They're suggesting that you move to red states or red cities and abandon these urban centers. And I say what, say you. America? Do you believe that is, that's the right thing to do. Have we reached a point, a point of no return where it really doesn't matter what we do, we're not going to be able to change the direction the trajectory of these cities. And I ask this, because the crime we are seeing is going to pale in comparison to what happens this summer. When the mobs of the oppressed swarm the streets, so my question is, what should we do? Should we stay and fight or should we just say we tried? But it wasn't good enough. And go somewhere else. And I want to hear from you this hour on this topic because many people are looking at what's happening in some of these cities, and they're leaving. The problem, a lot of liberals are moving too, but they're bringing their politics with them. And that's a problem.

Joe Piscopo Describes His Amazing Journey to SNL

"Improv. I heard that the original cast was leaving Saturday Night Live. That's Gilda Radner. That's Chevy Chase. That's John Belushi. That's Billy Murray. My hero, Danny aykroyd. And they were looking for cast to replace the original Saturday live. And I wanted nothing to do about it. NBC did a go round of all the comedy clubs. They never picked anybody. I got a call from a friend who was writing on SNL on the new SNL. He got a writing job. He told gene dominion produced at the time. You got to see Joe Piscopo. He does impressions. I would do impressions. I was doing the Frank Sinatra president on stage. I would do Tom Snyder. Remember Tom Snyder said that day was great. And I would do all of that on the stick. So they brought me to NBC. I went up to the 17th floor. I did an in studio kind of audition for gene domain and she said, okay, you know what? We're going to put you on tape. We're going to put you on tape. Come in this date. So I bypassed a lot of auditions, but I went in, I got down to the last few hundred, and I went into what it was David Letterman studio in the 6 a, I believe it was at NBC. And I just riffed on camera. Now, I was so cocky back then. I was young number one, number two. Who wants to replace the original cast of Saturday Night Live? But I did the old man, this is Sinatra. I did all the impressions. They left. They liked it. They hired me as a utility guy. They needed somebody to do the impressions right there. They hired me. And so we went in. And if I could cut to, we did about ten shows on SNL. Gilbert Gottfried was in the cast. There was some great chemical. Billy, the gili, I came up with Gilead to comedy club. Then as we were casting the show about to mount the show on the air, I walked up to the 17th floor one day and someone said, I want you to meet a kid from Long Island comedy clubs. I was in New York City comedy clubs. We didn't know the Long Island comedy clubs at the time. I walked in and as a young kid sitting down and they said, Joe, I want you to meet Eddie Murphy. And I sat with this young kid who was 19 years old, 19 years old. And I immediately talked about connection, you were gracious enough to make the introduction. And the connect with Eddie, the laughing, we just joked around, what are we doing here? We just hit it off.

I've seen it a lot at NASCAR events, and it just looks really cool. School Chevy has at the emblem on them. Chevy's just like an all time logo, so anytime you can throw that thing on anything, it's worth watching. It's worth wearing worth driving. Best company of all time. Yeah, I bet it's very prevalent at NASCAR. Are there some Chevy people out there that are just gigantic Chevy fans, obviously. They've got electric vehicles, Chevy, available now, so you can buy now the bolt EV, the bolt EUV, you can reserve now the Silverado EV, something coming out pretty soon that we're involved in that shows the Silverado V and they are off the charts, how cool they are. "But you know, it was kind of more like shit, man. We're not seeing anything. This is a fail and it was like my one L tag because it was the a tag. You're one L tag. Whereas this trip has been my second alcon and I've done a few more trips, so I think I kind of like that. That about this trip is that it's less stressful in terms of trying to be successful. Obviously, we want to be successful. But just a little bit, you know, the actual killing of an animal is not as much of a priority. It's more like trying to have good experiences, which I think we've had some great. I think maybe one of my favorite parts was yesterday when we were on that whatever small herd, they bet it down and then we kind of took off and search of something we could actually hunt like a bull. And then Riley and I came back to that spot and we checked on them and they were still there and there was a cow that was curled up like a dog. She had her head down, you know, kind of tucked into her belly and you could tell that she was just about as tired as I was. Yeah. Hey. Yeah, they're out doing it 24/7 three 6 5. We get to do it. We have the we have the pleasure. We have the we lucked out that we don't have to be doing that 24/7. Yeah. Yeah, we talked about that one night. Well, a couple nights ago about. That's like a thing you think about when you go up to you kill an animal, you go up to it, you respectful and all that. You pay your specs or whatever, but there's that moment where you're like, wow, this thing has been doing this for how many years, right? However, old animal is just living in hot, living in cold, living high, living low. You know? It's amazing that when you're suffering and you think about it, like at least I can go home. You know? One, you see like this time of year, right? Like those Elk that were batted yesterday. I mean, we're all cold. We got three layers on, where it's windy. But these Elk are looking for the shady spots. They're like, oh man, right on the snow. Yeah, right in the snow, just laying down right in the snow. And man, it's just, it's so and the nights, you know, they're just they're finding a tree or, you know, right now they're probably going hitting hay fields, just getting all the calories they can.

Well, I think it would probably depend on the region of the country. You got either of those deer from, but yeah, now it was cool. I mean, even just like sitting around skinning an animal. And just like, you know, taking care of it and processing it with a couple of beers. With the headlights on it. It's classic, man. Yeah. Gotta love it. And I don't know. Just with mountain hunting, that particular situation where my dad got it, and brought it back to the house, like basically skin on. I feel like a lot of times you don't get that with hunting in the mountains.

"Your head down, you get that green tunnel, right? You're just looking down at the plants here. Maybe your mind ventures into an area that is not conducive to being a good hunter. But if you're hiking with your head up, you know? There's always the chance. There's always the chance. I mean, especially like with mule deer, like what we've seen, man, we're in this one, there's this one spot that's a really high draw unit for mule deer. And here in Colorado and which is a lot of them. But especially for the third season. But I mean, we would be hiking and, you know, there was a couple really nice bucks that we just hiked within a hundred yards of and they were just because of the terrain that we were in super thick Juniper. They just felt so safe that you weren't going to see them. But as a hunter, if we would have had deer tags, then there would have been some bucks on the ground. You know, I was thinking about this. I think because it's pretty hard to get to within 40 yards of any animal, right? Whether it's white tailed deer, mule deer, antelope, Elk. But realistic because like those cows yesterday, and these are cows that have been hunted, they're pressured. They were on public land. We were what, 200 yards away from two 50. And you know, I think they knew something was up with us. We're trouncing through oak brush, we didn't have the greatest wind. I was looking at it. I don't think it was going directly at him, but it was swirling a little bit. Yeah, it was iffy. Yeah. And there was a couple of the lead cows that would look up and there were times where they'd kind of like run as if they were kind of a little bit on edge. But

"But I think we've learned a few things as far as what to do, maybe differently or try to do. Number one, maybe a little warmer. But try to change up the tags a little bit. So we all three have just over the counter. Bolt tags. And like you said, if we would have had Cal tags, I think. At least one of us would have been tagged out. It's not all of us. I mean, yesterday morning, we could have got three of them. Or even like a mule deer attack, you know? Because we've been seeing plenty of those around big old bear. Yeah. So the bear. So I think maybe changing up the tags and or if the only option is bolt tags or one type of tag, you know, maybe a different season as far as the pressure goes. Yeah. It's never going to be no pressure or even light pressure for that matter, but I think you can put yourself in a better spot than third season over the counter. Yeah. Definitely definitely are. But you know, people get it done. I think there's been a couple of things. You can always say, oh, if we would have gone during second season, like a lot of the tracks we were seeing were like, oh man, we just missed them by a few days. If only we were here in during second season. But I'm sure during second season, we would have been like, you know, oh man, if only we were here during third season, you know, get a little weather. But same goes for archery too. I mean, I remember last year on a hunt, I was thinking a lot of times like, man, I just wish I had a rifle, you know? Because we could go to some bigger country and there's been many times where if I would have had a rifle, could have got a bowl or an animal that I was hunting for. But just because you're hunting with a bow, but then rifle season comes around and you're like, man, I wish I would a hundred them earlier. So they weren't pressured. So it's like this whole this whole balance thing and at the end of the day, it's just making excuses, it's not excuses. It's trying to justify rationalize some things. Yeah, rationalizing. You know, I believe there is skill to hunting, right? There's glassing. I feel like it's a skill. It's something that you get better at. Knowing where animals are going to be, is a skill. Hiking is a skill. Absolutely. But at the end of the day, I think it all comes down to just luck and being kind of in the right spot at the right time. And especially if you're archery hunting, that there's so much luck that's involved. And the more days you spend out there, the more likely you are to get lucky. That's what got me out of bed in the morning.

"That's always a good sign. If you're spotting the right thing. But yeah, that's a good point. You definitely have to get your glass and eyes ready. But yeah, so after the first spot, we didn't really, I mean, obviously didn't see anything Elk, the first place, but then we kind of the second morning we went to a different spot. And we all saw tracks, but nothing super promising. I mean, a lot of them were like going on private or leading to somewhere that we weren't going to hunt. And there's guys driving the road. We were actually driving back to camp and some dude had shot one right off the road. There was there were people, this is like a popular highway in Colorado. I would say it's definitely a highway. Yeah. And people were just target shooting right off the road. Paved road. Paved the road. Riley and I drove by and we thought they were shooting at Elk. Because we had just driven past the folks that had loaded up and out. And we were like, well, maybe this is the area they're in. And then we come around the corner and these guys are posted up on the side of the road. Just. And so we pulled over and we were wondering what was going on. And I mean, he shot probably three times within 5 minutes. That's so weird. It's weird. So weird. But you know, it's a popular spot in Colorado. Lots of guys because there's lots of Elk, but we were kind of talking about this, Riley. When you're choosing your spot, you know, for me, I would rather see less people and less help. Then more people and more out, but maybe those Elk are just like, you know, getting pushed all over the place and I like to have a pure hunt. It is nice if somebody pushes something your way, you know, I'm not going to complain about that, but I feel like competing with guys for the trailhead and I don't know, people get nasty. I get nasty. Yeah. So it's kind of a, there's some compromises to be had there. I'll go ahead, Brian. We got a little taste of that. With the area that had quite a few ATVs and it was, it felt like there was a ton of sign and everything like that, but you look over the next ridge or whatever and you see a hunter over there and then you hear one coming up the road you came in on and it can get discouraging pretty quick. Yeah. When there's more hunters around. Yeah, definitely. I was going to say, I think. You have this preconceived notion of what the mountains are. So I live on the east side of state where it's flat, basically Kansas. Colorado. And you're used to seeing because you can see for everything, right? So you're used to seeing it, and that's part of the game. Especially in public out there because there's not very much of it. But like you have this mountains are supposed to be you and the mountains, right? Experiences in Alaska. That's very much and most times you can get away from people and Alaska because it's so big. But out here, it's something I have to keep telling myself, reminding myself when you get out here, that's just part of it too. Like you said, there's a purity scale to this whole thing. And I do believe in that.

"Which was a bad idea. It was fun. It was actually, it was pretty cool. Got to see the seat outside tents do their thing. That was cool. Yeah. Yeah, that was the first time I had used the stove and I was very surprised. You know, obviously with it getting dark a little bit earlier, that was the worst time was in between 5 30 and when you go to bed, but it seemed like, you know, I slept pretty well, honestly. I think we were all warm, but still, I mean, the thing is, when it's, I don't know, that second morning was probably 9°, 10°, something like that. It makes it real hard to get out of the bag and out of the tent. At that point. That was, that was the big thing. But I really liked our camp setup. It was kind of cool because we took out two 8 person teepees. We had one for you guys, one for me and Owen. And then we also brought your little ice fishing hut, which was kind of like our spot to eat and cook and stuff like that. And we also brought the little buddy heater here and there. That's right. It was nice to stay warm while we were cooking. A little North Dakota influence there, a lot of this fish and influence. How was it? Well, I guess both of you guys, but North Dakota guy, he's probably used to that kind of weather, but what about you, Brian? How did you enjoy I feel like there's especially thinking back on it now? Yeah, there's a little bit of that was badass. Yeah. You feel that yet? Yeah, sure. I mean, I think this whole week has been pretty badass. And as far as the temperatures, we were probably in the single digits there for maybe the first or second night. Yeah. And to be honest, the hardest thing for me is my feet because my feet sweat. So I can't really use insulated boots and regular boots. Don't really keep it too warm. Yeah. But I feel like I was I've always been a colder temperature type person. So I think it was all right. Coming from Cincinnati, this right before this trip, we had a pretty warm spell and I mean, I think the lows were like in the 50s, you know? So and they got up into the 70s. So I really wasn't even prepared for a lot of this stuff, but layering did its job and good socks is kind of where it's at. Yeah. So what about you, Riley? Are you feeling you feeling excited about it yet? You want to go back home and get warm? Oh yeah, yeah. So we need to find Hot Springs. That's what we need to do. No, it's funny though. My bones lost memory of all the cold. And then, but there's this weird, I was thinking about this weird thing where you feel like you're building something. "All the way till we're in mid November, just week after week, getting pounded, chased around. So, you know, and third season can be nice because technically they can be down lower, but we've found Elk at 10,000 feet, you know, where there's 12, 14 inches of snow on the ground. You know, I really don't believe. I mean, I think there are wintering grounds, and there are summer grounds. But to say that Elk can't exist, you know, I mean, even two feet of snow. As long as there's willows sticking up above the snow or bare patches on south facing slopes, two feet is nothing to an Elk, especially a big old bowl Elk with antlers that can rake away snow and stuff like that. So I'm not a huge, I don't think that you should pass up an area in third season just because it's not winter area, you know. We saw Elk way up in there. In anywhere steep and deep, they're going to like it. Yeah, they're going to like it. I think you hear that more from Colorado people that have been hunting for a long time. You hear a lot about the sort of areas they are from people. At least I do, right? The people when you talk to the locals, they find everywhere. The weird thing was that first spot had all the signs of all the Elk, the math equation was there. Everything was there. But no Elk. Yeah, it was miraculous, too, because there was no people in that first spot. Yeah. I was like, oh man, this might be, this might be nice. We got to the first spot and driving in on the road, and it's not a maintained road, but easy to get up there and you could get up in there in a Toyota Camry probably with all wheel drive. But yeah, no people anywhere on this road. I mean, the only other people that we saw weren't even hunters. And we had all the ground in the world to glass. "You really can't go wrong for your initial 100,000 miles. And you can. But Kia soul. Right behind Toyota and reliability. Yeah. Maybe go out there and get yourself a Kia. Yeah. I think this is what we've come down on the podcast. Chevy cruze, Kia soul. Gonna be the best vehicle. A 12 inch lift, 12 inch lift. 35 inch tires, chop the roof off. Brand new, you're good. Can we make that like our seek outside company vehicle? I would. Can we just go get that? We were taking a BHA. Oh man, could you imagine somebody packing out a 6 by 6 bowl? Dude, if I see that one day, I will stop giving. Handshake, not say a word to him and dip. Yeah, I think it's a weird place in the overland thing because it is just your car. Unless your trailering it, but I'm gonna consider that rock rolling. Where you're just trying to find the best balance between how much do you want to hate it on road and how much do you want to hate it off road? Yeah. You can make something that's so good off road, but you're gonna hate it every second, you're on pavement. And vice versa. If you can make something that's so good on road, you can just buy a freaking Toyota Camry. And then you're off road and you're like, I want to kill myself. Yeah. This car is terrible, right? Off road. And that's to be seen, right? But I think a good, I think most people, if they're hunting and want to get a little bit more remote camp spots, more remote fishing spots. All that stuff. And they should go with a full midsize truck or a midsize SUV. And choose the off roadie package, some of those packets come with lockers. That's huge. If you can find a package of the locker like a TRD, locker in the rear, that is increased your capability 50%. That is a lot. So if you can get it to that point, if you can kind of get an off road package, you're going to make it where you want to go. And a two inch lift is going to get you that much further. Slightly bigger tires are going to get you that much further. It's kind of just, it's the basics. You want something you can build off of. What you can build off of a lot of cars, but you got to know what your time's worth. You want to get something that generally, if it's popular, I hate to say if it's popular, it's popular for a reason. Most people with cars. Most people like a ZR2, Chevy, like Colorado. Questionably reliable. Just kidding. It's a good drug that gets you all the places you need. A little bit small, but if you aren't telling much, who cares? It gets everywhere you need. Same with the Tacoma, but like if you need to step it up, you know, go to a full size pickup. Pick the off road package. If you really, if you don't think it's capable enough, two inch lift, a little bit of tires. You good to go. Good to go. Unless you're really pushing it, but honestly, you shouldn't be pushing it in a full size truck..

"This. This could be fun. Yeah. And on that point, I think you can learn a lot from the vehicles that you see in Colorado. A lot of the vehicles that are driving around here are. I honestly don't see that many Subarus anymore. Do you notice that? The other die now? Like they used to be and I had a Subaru outback for a while. My brother has one. He loves it. He takes it everywhere, but you know, I feel like the mechanical integrity of those things is has died off a little bit. We're going to just cancel. That's probably number one. 1500 DMC, Chevy. Chevy. But like top three, I would probably say Toyota Tacoma. Either a GMC Sierra or Chevy Silverado. And probably a 4Runner. Those are probably like the top three vehicles that I've seen. I've seen four runners. And then I do see some Subaru outbacks out there when I'm L cunning. Something like that. And all those vehicles are capable of class two. It was kind of what I was referring to. Especially the Tacoma, the Chevy, the 4Runner. Easy vehicles that you can get into the back country. And most of them opt for the off road package, I would say if you live in these parts of town, you usually have four wheel drive. Yeah. So those are all great vehicles and depending on if you want a truck bed or not, you know, I've seen, I've seen people specifically Kevin. Pack out a 6 by Elk on top of his Lexus. So it's pretty badass. Yeah, I mean, you can do anything with what you want..

"Blocks tend to just lift your car off the ground, not increase your suspension travel or your shock length or any of that fun stuff. Yeah. And so having a lift like that is going to really help for ground clearance. That's kind of the main thing that you're looking obviously like upgrading the suspension is going to make your rad smoother, but I mean, I've noticed, even with my Chevy Silverado, which I mean, it's, I don't know, probably 24 inches off the ground. I don't know what the number is there. But there's still places where I'm like, damn, I wish I had just a few more inches of clearance up off the ground. And so that's kind of the main thing that you're looking for when you're lifting your vehicle. So that two inches is going to keep you again two inches off of the rocks that you may have been hitting before, which two inches doesn't seem like a lot, but it is. Talking to the guy there. Yeah. Yeah, but you know, it's going to improve your break over angle, which is when you go over, let's say you have a nice roll, and the middle of your truck is where that breakover is, right? So when you roll over two inches, you're going to have a little bit more. You'll be able to go over higher things. You also have won't get bottomed out. Exactly. You'll have a better approach angle as well because your bumper is also two inches higher. So be able to approach steeper obstacles. And then you'll also have a better, what is that called? You'll have a better exit angle. I guess you know what we call it. So then you aren't going to be scraping your bumper. So two inches. It'll get you a long ways. I mean, I have a Lexus GX four 70. I just did a two inch left on it because I didn't want to go over the top. You know, I drive this thing all around the country to go places. And you know, it's still ride smooth, still works like Alexis, upgraded. This is mentioned, you know, it rides nice, drives on the highway nice. But just going from the stock height to two inches higher, I was able to open up a whole new world of trails. Really. Yeah. Obviously it's not rock crawling. And that is dependent on your definition of it. But I can go make it to almost any trailhead, do any trail in the San juans, you know. Without an issue for the most part. Yeah. Yeah, and so that's kind of like the less flashy stuff, right? Like that's kind of the meat and potatoes in comparison to like when you're driving down driving down the road and you see Toyota Tacoma that's just like matte black and it's got the roof racks and the freaking snorkel and all that good stuff. Exactly. Like if you had to pick a couple of those more flashy accessories, what would you pick? Before we go ahead on that, I just have one last to add to like oh yeah, yeah. Yeah. So we had the all terrain tires. It was like a really nice, I mean, you can even go mud terrain, but that's gonna be really loud on the highway. Enormous amount of grip. But going up a size or two, not going extreme, but just going up a size or two and tire size is also lifting your actual axle clearance. Which is can be huge, you know? Like a 33 inch tire on a two inch lifted Toyota or something, which is that's usually what I deal with. Is not too big where it's going to have to re gear your vehicle..

"A premium right now. Right before the end of the year, I traded in my 2012 Chevy Silverado. I thought it was about time to get a new one. I was amazed at the price of new cars if you could find one. So I tried it in my 2012, which looking back on it, maybe I should have kept it. I had just over a 100,000 miles on it, I thought, well, this is a good time to trade. And I was just sickened. When I went online and I saw the price that they had listed, my used car app. It was within a $1000. Of what I paid for it. In early 2013, again, as 2012 model, I bought it in early 2013. It literally, as a used vehicle with a 108,000 miles on it, was within a $1000 of what I paid for it. I usually vehicle. That was a nice one. It was a nice truck. Body Composition Tracking: Why It's Important & What Metrics To Track

"I think a good starting point years to really i decided. Okay what is it that you actually want to achieve right. I looking to become bigger looking to become slimmer or do wanna be more toned where he can really see the muscle definition clear separation of all muscle groups or even some daska. Laryea around your your arms beds even your apps and maybe of a specific shape goal even like around some body parts. I mean most people were of course lew stabia belly bird others have other issues. Maybe they wanna Wind their shoulders or the one a shape their butts in in a certain way and aesthetic society. They're also health among chevy goals. Right in deir. Daphne limits off. How can push yourself definitely getting slim For the most part also allows you to live longer but there are limits. You know like where you really got into bodybuilding territory which is no longer necessarily something that's going to increase your overall health long-term yeah because the metrics and methods that you use are basically dependent on by your goal is at the end of the bay right. That's right because you know like wait may may be less useful to somebody who has a specific shape goal for example. Because maybe they don't want to change the size change. Know that one body part where it says like incredibly more important for somebody trying to become slimmer right and i think that's why it's really important to figure out okay where he wannabe for most people. That is really like to become slimmer. And that's also what my own case had been. I want to become slimmer. Plus and that was more like the bonus i wanted to be more tones and i wanted to retain as much muscle mass as possible while they the metrics for you that that you were tracking yes so a bunch of different things and definitely not something that would recommend. Everybody should be trekking. And i'm going to outline which. I like the most important ones but i was first and foremost measuring my weight and that was something i was doing and still doing almost every day. Striking my body fat water levels bone mass my lean body mass and actually includes my bone mass and my circumference measurements and that was really all the measurements from my waist circumference to my chest to my shoulders to my upper arms laura arms thighs hips coughs and to some extent even neck but to a lesser extent. Because there was really not that important. I mean i haven't really seen laura people that care about the neck but i heard it's kind of important for some martial arts because it can kinda healthy to not get knocked out and fight for for instance but yeah i mean i wasn't really concerned for me and using shapes trekking my volume compartmentalized through different body parts. So i could kinda see where exactly my my size was changing. So where i was gaining size or losing inside the goal was re to lose mostly incised across the board

"Additional advertising to monetize your company and it doesn't matter how that advertising is engaged. It doesn't matter if there's an inconvenient way to dig through settings disable that kind of advertising and also we should be even more critical of consumer behavior being monitored monitored in services like samsung pay. So have i have payment app on my phone that is selling off my data to advertisers to then serve me ads in the samsung pay app. That should never have been okay again. It took legislation in california for samsung to just disclose that. They had a monetary arrangement with other services through samsung. Pay and that your user data was being monetize like that. Samsung was never going to disclose that on their own. It took a law for them to say. Oh by the way you've got to opt in or you can't use samsung pay so it's a thing which is dumb so anyway. This was eventually the correct place for samsung to land. So now i'm going to be curious all the people that it's not a big deal or it's really a good that they're making ad recommendations on your actual behavior or if it was just like well it's really your fault if you even saw ads because you should never have turned them on when you were setting up your phone. I'm sure they're all going to be sort of congratulatory of this. But i think that changes the tone of their arguments whereas even samsung is walking back from this terrible business decision. I feel like now. The next thing is to pressure samsung to get rid of ads on other products like the third screen ads. I get when i'm switching inputs on my stupid expensive samsung tv which the panel is now starting to fail on. So i'm like. I think i'm four years on this tv which we spent more money on then we should have. We don't use of the samsung smart features. The server connection is now broken. it's connected to the wi fi. We've we've switched to the two point four gig in the five gig signals. We've tried to update it. We've tried plugging it in with the cable. Tv won't communicate with anything so the first thirty seconds that we turn it on. There is an inescapable pop. Up saying oh. We can't find the samsung server anymore. You need to connect to the server. We don't know what that means because we've dried connecting it to everything we can and now literally were getting after images so when you're watching a you're watching kids shows on netflix. And the next episode is getting ready to stream and you see like the main screen strength down to like a little preview window. Now it's glitch glinting in those preview boxes where they are in different streaming services so then the next episode plays and the screen is just showing this rainbow garbage in that many box in this tv can die in a fire. I hate this tv. So much. I never going to buy another samsung tv. I like anything i can do is if i needed another reason to not enjoy samsung products. From their business practices collusion potentially throttling consumer phones components. Their influence over the south korean government where they operate kind of like mafia like entity punitive. Pr that likes to chill out. Conversations on their products from entities that they deem undesirable and now they're tv is just hot garbage..

I guess and is i don't know what the number would compare to european regulations different so things like summon not worth paying for that. Because you've got to be sitting next to the car and things like navigate on autopilot work slightly different. It is very very good. But he's not like in the us rather whether regulations a lighter and they can do you can be more with autopilot and fasd and shean homestore's ipod. "Are you excited about this. One the bolt. uv everything it's gonna option. Yeah actually i am so there's a couple of things that really stand out to me. Is i like the size. It's funny in previous generations or generations older than me. The older you get the larger vehicle you want. I'm going the opposite. I appreciate smaller cars. The older i get especially because cars tend to be getting bigger and bigger all the time. This is one of those. That seems to be sized nicely. I had looked at the bolt when it came out. Just would it fit my lifestyle. And i'm like way out on the ninety nine th percentile here because i have to consider having to irish wolf hounds to hop around. I have seen pictures and people those are. The awesome is dogs their goal. They are very cool. So just the way that the rear hatch area in the bolt was didn't make it an option for me with the uv. Bolt it looks like it could be. I wish they would have brought the tailgate down a little more. So there's less of a lip to get into the load area and personal pet peeve. If you have full flat seats make them fold. Actually flat not some angles. So that's a couple of things. I'll have to look at but other than that. It looks interesting. The other thing is that chevy is going to offer this as a lease right from the get go unlike ford when we talked about last time with the machi are they doing elise. Well yes of sort of know just going to be full lease and if people are truly interested in this leasing is the way to do it because you're not going to be stuck with tactic. It's old and three or four years. And it's also the best way to take advantage of any government incentives for you as well because that literally gets cut right off the price point not a tax credit at the end of the year. Oh i did not know that. That's an important distinction. Yep so when you buy a vehicle without. It's not like you get cut a check. It's literally a tax credit when you file your taxes so it's not like you're getting the money back just taken off your bill but when you lease it that money goes back to the dealer theoretically and then it just gets cut off your lease priced. So why say when it comes to newer big especially vis- leasing is the way to go well and i'll add that flat. Pack kind of backseat is important. If you're gonna haul stuff around at all. And i think of specific things now. I have to fifty pound dogs so the bolt will work that e v will work just fine for for those profile but that flat back is really nice if and i wish they would have that because either of your taking stuff around or if you do something like an impromptu camping situation that flat back is crucial. And it's like you can just do one of those not trunk tents but hatchback tents yup and you're good to go. I know it's an educator to also a lot of listeners like to go up north and do things. Yup exactly. I i agree with that. A hundred percent. Yeah that would be great for that. And that's again why that lipping there you know you can't really stick your legs way out the back even if it was flat so it's actually a really exciting vehicle for chevy and for general motors to get out there really in front of this thing before i let you go. I wanted to talk about a couple of quick newsy. Items specifically around production news came in this morning that ford stopping their f one fifty and transit van production over at their kansas city plant. And that's due to a natural gas shortage. And then you also have issues with general motors at four plants. One in tennessee..
