Currently, it's about a 7 and a half mile back up on the eastbound side of route 50 just to get you to the Chesapeake Bay bridge. Again, this is due to an earlier crash on the eastbound spam, lanes have been open for at least over a half hour, but unfortunately the damage has been done. In Virginia still dealing with extensive to lays both directions on the capitol beltway the words on is currently set up between the Georgetown pike and the dulles toll road lane blocked in each direction. On westbound route 50 right near route two O two that's landover road. We do have a report of a crash. It does look like a bit of a delay and at least one lane blocked Staying in prince George's county traffic still moving a bit slowly on the inner loop of the beltway with a mobile road work around road 50. We're seeing delays basically from route one in college park all the way around to two 14. Montgomery county were actually in pretty good shape on the bell William both directions northbound 95 after route 32, there is a mobile work zone set up on the right side, do you use a bit of caution? They were diverting in the area of the state police barracks and on the Virginia side, 95 south bound in thornburgh, a single lane getting by to the left and farther south of that, once you get down to the area of Kingston in boulevard, you got about a 9 mile delay, this due to a crash that was there for quite a while, only into open. The crash has been cleared, there was a debris spill that was being cleaned up, that should be in good shape and should be clearing out, but again you got 9 miles to get through before then actually happens. Colin tells us on the inner loop on the Maryland side in lanham. As you make your way in the area of route 50, have the right time block to a due to a disabled vehicle with their flashes on, but no help with it. You want to stay to the left to get by. Also on the Virginia side of the beltway, the inner loop just after the dulles toll road, all lanes open, but delays remain due to an earlier disabled vehicle. Taking a look in the district, two 95, both ways between the suitland Parkway and south capital street out of work zone that have the left lane blocked also 17th street between I and K street you want to follow police direction due to an earlier crash there. Back on the Virginia side, the George Washington Parkway has a work zone that's been there for the weekend. This between the chain bridge road, route one 23, and the capital beltway, the work is today, but there's a new traffic pattern starting tomorrow. It's going to have two lane southbound one north in the morning and it will be the opposite in the evening to north one south expecting heavy delays there as folks get used to that and accustomed to the area. That's because of the serious crash in the extrication involved. Also west of this incident in between Ed nor and the ICC there were trees down a wires down that caused a small brush fire just before the ICC on Norwood or back road excuse me. So do not use norbeck road basically between Georgia and New Hampshire avenues. Elsewhere in Maryland, route 15 and mountainville rover alternating traffic with the down tree route 5 southbound Iverson mall, the right side block with the down wires, three 55 both ways a twin brook park where you use caution to down wires. One 97 at Conti road dark traffic lights, it's a four way stop, all the lights are out in the area. Same thing in the vicinity of central and lots for both of those roads with dark traffic lights in Largo, use caution, follow police direction. We've still got New York avenue, northeast closed between at Montana and West Virginia, eastbound, you're going to be detoured through ivy city westbound, it looks like you're going to go around the circle. Georgia avenue, both directions at Jefferson street closed in the district, excuse me, in Virginia, 66 westbound used caution. We had a report of a construction barrel rolling around near route 28 and Centreville, three 95 southbound, construction signs were in the roadway at Washington boulevard exit 8 on a three 95 GW Parkway inbound. It's about run Parkway, right lane gets by the down tree route 7 westbound at holston road follow police direction at the crash. Three O one at the nice Mac Middleton bridge. It's open with wind restrictions in effect. Box truck goes over Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel rail, Coast Guard suspends search for person possibly in water
"Box truck drove through the guard rails on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel earlier today and went over the side into the bay. The Coast Guard and firefighters have been searching the cold water for the driver, Wavy TV and Norfolk says it happened near Virginia's Eastern shore about a 20. "My name is Meghan Sacks criminologist at Fairleigh Dickinson University. In simplest terms criminology is the scientific study of what causes crime and how the criminal justice system. Response. To crime. Ridden about twenty, five true crime books over the years and I think many maguire is perhaps one of the most interesting ones and baffling. This is Melanie. McGuire arrested today minutes after dropping offer children in daycare. Melanie, McGuire a New Jersey nurse was accused of killing her husband cutting up his body and throwing it into the Chesapeake Bay. In two thousand, seven, what was being called? The suitcase murder trial was generating an enormous amount of media attention, not just in New Jersey, but all across the country three bazaar discoveries, three separate suitcases, all containing human remains the woman who is on trial for her very life. She says the real truth behind the crime has never been revealed with no history of violence and no apparent motive for murder. Could she really have done it? She was this beautiful young nurse and they were the seemingly normal middle class couple and the murder happened in such a grisly way. The idea that this beautiful nurse could have actually killed her husband and then cut him up is just incredible. Of course, they were salacious aspects. Maguire is a nurse and prosecutors say she had an affair with a doctor. She didn't fit the profile I. Guess of a murderer over the years and colleagues of ours have come to me and said, you know Melanie McGuire proclaims her innocence and to tell her story I started thinking Oh maybe there is a little more to this case than what you see on the surface and then the idea podcast came up and I was all in on direct appeal examined the murder conviction of Melanie, McGuire him following a highly publicized trial looking at the evidence that was presented and the evidence that may have seemed insignificant at the time before own conclusion about Melanie's guilt. We hear at ABC have our own history with the Melanie. McGuire case back in two thousand, seven ABC's Cynthia McFadden had the first on camera interview at the mother of two on trial for murdering her husband. Who was the Melanie?
