"That the league and the players agreed that this was going to be okay for the next four years. And I checked in with the NHL we're recording here on Thursday yesterday being Wednesday. Just maybe it was Tuesday. Just wondering about all of that. And the feedback I got from the player association was luck. We've had multiple conversations, all of our concerns have been addressed. So clearly the PA is signed off on it. Well, for the short term. So don't I mean, what it really means to the PA two things. First of all, what if you play one year in the NHL? Like you make it, you realize your dream and your home games get a call a drink. I mean, that sucks. It really does. The second part is the revenues, which of course are 50 50 split is now on 5000 people. So if they're concerns are met, not mine to worry about, but it makes me wonder. Okay, last one in the headlines. And this is a fun one, kind of a fun one. We brought it up on the quizzes as part of the leafs game earlier this week. If you were an NHL co trade, would you pull your goalie in overtime for the four on three advantage? Now, Sergei fedorov did it in the continental Hockey League recently. And it is happened on more than a few occasions in European hockey period. Now, the difference in the NHL is and it was funny because O dog didn't know this in order to Cheryl pounder. If you lose with the goalie pulled in the NHL, you also lose that single point as well. So I checked in with a couple of NHL coaches because I think there are some inside NHL hockey operations in the officiating department that believe it's inevitable. There will be an NHL coach that does this. You know, you got an offensive zone face off. And by the way, in the NHL, you can't change on the fly. You've got to pull your goalie during the stop. So if you've got an offensive face off, you like the way that your four offensive players are rolling, would you do it or is losing that point just too risky? First of all, coaches are risk averse. They don't want to take risks anywhere. Because risk also means scrutiny. Right? And so guys don't want to get into that. No, I don't know. Myself, if I wouldn't do it early in the year because I want those points in the bank for sure. If I'm in a race late in the year and I need extra points, you bet I'm doing it. Like, I'm not waiting till the shootout. If I got a chance to put a power play out there, it's four on three. First of all, I don't have the numbers, but I'm guessing empty net goals with three guys on the ice don't happen very often. It's hard to get the puck. It really is. It's far more difficult to kill a penalty with three guys. I'm telling my four power play guys, you just move that thing around and keep moving it around until you exhaust those guys. And then you attack the neck. Yeah. So yes, I would. I would seriously look at it. I haven't crunched the numbers on this either, but an NHL source. Someone involved in the internal conversation said that the data in Europe is fairly significant. I mean, you score with a four on three. I often think a four on three is an easier power play to score on than a 5 on three. And the reason I think that is the 5 on three, somebody's always in a way. Right. Yeah. So yes, absolutely. I would do it. Of course, the complication is that you lose the draw, and it's over in two seconds. Because if I'm the penalty killer, I've got my men on my best face off guys, my penalty killer generally. So if your Boston, you have bergeron taking the draw and Charlie mcavoy standing on the goal line, right behind him. As soon as the puck comes, he slaps it. If you lose it clean, it's no aiming. You're just slapping it. It goes down the ice games over in two seconds. It's like, didn't work so well. But I would try it. Absolutely. That's awesome. I knew you would. Those are your headlines. "That aren't playing anymore, but guys like Brent seabrook that have this character and ability and leadership and years in the game that you just have so much respect for and talking with those guys and they've always said you're going to get there like keep doing your doing they've been my biggest supporters and kind of always had the like when, how? I don't see the barriers, but I think it almost just hit me all at once of like, how did I end up here like this? And I knew it was going to take a conversation or two with the right person that saw something different in me and what I could bring to a team that would create potentially bring this opportunity to life. But I didn't know when it was going to happen. So I think now that I'm here, perhaps when it's all over, it's going to be like the adrenaline crash as you guys know. It's just you're so in the moment and appreciating and so grateful to be here. But yet knowing I have a job to do. And that's been my focus every single day is do my job and make sure I do it the best that I can and if we succeed, which my hope is we will succeed, then it's all going to make it that much more sweet. No question. Well, for the moment, you're where you belong and this guy is obviously the limit for Jessica Campbell. Thanks for joining us. Thank you so much, guys. Good luck, Jessica. Thank you. You know, ray Jessica Campbell is too busy for this. So in her honor, we're going to have to raise a glass of 44 year old CC. Two jazz Campbell for joining us today presented by our friends at Canadian club whisky, the 44 year old release is available everywhere. Maybe she gets back to North America after a successful men's worlds or if in the future we cross paths who knows. Maybe she'll come out to Saskatchewan and I'll give her a splash. Gotta go home eventually, right? Yeah. She's an impressive young coach. Really is. She is. I like how you can tell she wants to get right into the meat of the problem and solve it with her skill, her skill background, her skating background. I was really, really quite impressed. You know, we're surrounded by so many terrific hockey people. And I'm going to say hockey women, but I chose people for a purpose, right? You know, you're married to one, obviously, is doing great things in the hockey operations department. Emily casting gay is there. She's making her way. Rachel Dory is in Vancouver. I'm thinking of Cassie Campbell Pascal. I'm thinking a Cheryl pounder who I work with you work with. I mean, Megan Megan duggan is in New Jersey. Go down the list, right? And this is the thing pretty soon, Drake's not pretty soon already and going to be more. You can't list. There's too many. And it's just the way it should be. If a woman is qualified for a job, why can't she aspire to have it? Why can't she coach? Why can't Jessica Campbell in whatever the I never know how the coaching road works? Why can't she be qualified? If she is she is. Yeah. The one phrase I use all the time and I think it's apt is that it's not.

"Sixteen. I'm sad to say. I won't be a part of the broadcast of the women's world hockey championships and it's too bad. I'm really gonna miss. It missed the people. I worked with the likes. This cheryl pounder and tessa. Bonhomme rod black and carla macleod and all those people behind the scenes especially for the radio broadcast mike wittingham. I'll miss the action to even. In that short time i saw the level of competition that term rise the depth in the field increase in the fan interest grow exponentially. It's been wonderful to watch. And he gives a ton of new hope for continent wide women's league. That might finally have a sound business outlook while miss it. I'll say this. I hope i don't do it again. Truly of course. I i always had a former player beside me and calling the games. That was great. That was a given that a women's player would be there ultimately though the next time a radio specific call goes up for those games and my understanding is. There isn't one this year. But i hope that the next time that there is one owner is calling the games. There are women calling pro men's games right now. Sounds like leah hextall. We'll even get a handful of nhl games for espn next year. It seems obvious that it should be a woman calling the world's the next time around to eventually. Yes maybe we get to the point where it shouldn't matter best people for the job yadda yadda women call men's games. Men can call women's games again but we're not there yet and the play by play chair isn't a male position so farewell to that specific one for me but i'll be watching. This candidate gets started tonight. And if the soccer side can win gold these days heck shirley. We can do it.
