"Hasta. I know another famous person who likes a big fat sharpie to sign the signature with. And i think it looks a little goofy ultra-fine makes it look derry. Classy is like as the hollywood tip. Maybe i wouldn't sign documents with the fact guy. I mean maybe if i i wrote a book i would but not the not a nice signature on a document. The double tip sherpa yet double-dip. Oh yet girl tell me about this. Oh yeah it's got like the normal side on one side and got the mind on the other side that's when you're like on the move and got multiple things happening and you need the two-points for different situations. That's office desk one minute. You're mailing something the next minute. You're just sketching and you could sign a variety of documents or books fat or skinny true. So what's your okay. This is fun. This is a fun question and everybody loves it. What's your best. Craft fail story. What happened and what did you learn. You know house thinking about this one. Because i've listened to some episodes. And i was like shit. I don't fucking know like what is my worst craft fail but typically what it is. It's the projects that i just abandoned in the middle and then they clutter the crap and they make me feel horrible. Because i'm like hi finish that and then there's like the twenty other things next to it that i should really finish. And then i get into shoots and shouldn'ts about myself and i start shutting myself. It's so what i've learned. Is that at some point. You just have to clear the old projects out so that they don't make me feel bad anymore. I'm like hired a hold on for one more month. Then freedom freedom fire baby freedom fire well. That's i love that. Because i i didn't realize i have those krefeld time. The start and then not finish and then feeling guilty for starting something else new but in addition to just clearing out your space if you start feeling the code of should have you could just listen to shell's episode about clearing the could have shut. That one's good. Yeah that wouldn't that. Wouldn't i needed that one that wake. That's why i made it nice. You do as you make you make an intentional. If let's say you are. You should be folding laundry instead of saying you should be folding laundry. You choose whether or not you're gonna fold the laundry so you decide you're not gonna do it then whatever but you don't have to think about how you should be doing it or do it at do it down to just to own it. Yeah if i'm gonna eat the whole bag of potato chips. I know i'm doing that when i take it from the cupboard couch. I shouldn't be doing this well. If you weren't gonna do it. You would put them in the bowl so you knew when you brought the whole bag to the tv that this is what was going down just owning it. Yeah i love that show. Where can people find you meditation. Minis dot com or search. Meditation as on your favorite podcast player. And if you're not a podcast person. I mean maybe this is the only show you listened to. You can also find me on spotify easing. "For the craft out tip jar back to the show. So why is wellness important for creative success. Well we only have one body and one mind with which to create all the things were up to and so wellness and minding our body and our mind which includes our emotions is going to allow us to access our creativity access. our joy. creativity takes risk. I have to be willing to risk. And when we don't feel well mentally or physically. We shut down and when we're feeling unsafe in we shut down. We don't risk their pets for people. Listening that Maybe you're thinking about forming meditation habits. What can you recommend in terms of best for people who wanna start diving in. So there's a lot of different kinds of meditation. Usually when people think about meditation they think about sitting criss cross lewis applesauce and staring at nothing or closing their eyes and clearing bear mind and some people might think of tm. Which is a sam mantra over and over again and you have to do it twice a day for at least twenty minutes These are more old school forms. There's a lot of power to be had in guided meditation. Especially if it's good guided meditation which just means tation. It speaks to you miami. Meditations might not speak to somebody else's will that make it a good guided meditation for you so start with whatever fills the most doable and know that. There's no real right or wrong as long as you are doing something that engages your black station response. Which all of these meditations will do to create space between the thoughts which all of them will do you will find a recipe that works for you so speaking of that. How can creatives. Who are overwhelmed. Having a block or just feel bad. Use guided meditation as a tool without would go back to learning how to access different in ourselves. So you could. You're feeling towns upset. You listen to something in. It's not that you're repressing it. It's that you're shifting it. We don't use meditation and maybe sometimes in the more historical types of meditation could use it to repress things and feel like you shouldn't be thinking or feeling something. That's not my experience with guided meditation. My experience with guided meditation is that it allows you to shift things like a little kid can be really upset and they can be having full on screaming meltdown tantrum because somebody took their truck and once they allow themselves to have that two minutes later. They're like have a happy now. Did they repress the feeling no they let it move through them and they shifted into a happier space again amazing. So we're going to go back to crafting a place to know. I'm sure you also do. Meditative crafting moments times. What is your writer die. Craft supply have my rider die. Crafts supply is actually a simple black sharpie nine cats. It's my favorite. What about like when you first open it and it's got that point and it's nascent juicy and then over time when at that point gets rounded out and it starts getting dried up. It's hard to part with a that. That moment i wish they could everlasting gob stopper. The tip of the sharp. My favorites are these guys which are really hard to find. This is the sharp australia Back so i don't know if you remember this or not but this is an audio show you gotta explained everybody listening what you're holding in your hand so the industrial super permanent ink sharpie. They're actually why are they so hard to find extra fine point. It says many a little more cone shaped i guess How to describe that one instead of being like a flat tip felt. It has more of a point. Yeah yes and. I do like the one you can often find in the store. Which is the sharpie ultra-fine point and this is best brand new like literally after grand brand now six or seven uses loses. It's it's And it gets crooked. Yeah it gets crooked. It gets like the end but man when i write my autograph with.

"It was gonna be along and i just didn't listen to my intuition. Yeah instead of saying negative. We call it constructive criticism now. It's usually straight up negative. When it's like that i was like i know there's trolls out there. And people who are just like in a space where they just have to like put negatively onto everybody else. But if you're saying something that is truly like something that you're like. Well that's helpful. Then i would say it's constructive was constructive because i i am able to detach enough from what feels personal to be able to. Extract is helpful right because sometimes they're straight up like this is the worst thing ever. I can't believe i listened to it. Why did she waste my time. You mean you're wasting somebody's eight minutes. Yes eight minutes wasted. Get free time but in that if in that they say in altro music was just too loud. I'll try to figure it out with episode. They're talking about go back and listen. I'll be like why on that one that altro music for some reason it was to allow so really kind of sesing out discerning. The difference between what is just them. Helpful like yelp reviews so you mentioned creativity and we understand that you studied are in college and are very crafty. How do you think meditation getting centered and doing your best. Creative work connects with each other. So i've worked with a lot of creatives. Also over the years living in los angeles and i have found that there's there are several types but the two main ones that come to mind right now is the type of creative that has to get angry in order to create and that's quite exhausting for the long term. And then those the creative that needs to go to like this space we all have our space. It may feel calm. May feel centered. It may feel excited in full of possibility. So that's the more positive feelings right in. If you do especially guided meditation you can learn to access different states inside yourself whether it's a state of possibility a state of calm state of spaciousness that you can dan rea access when you go to do your creative thing 'cause once you go someplace inside yourself it's a lot easier to get back there on your own and so you might be like okay. I need spaciousness right now. In to work this piece his anybody who's creative knows. There's different parts that we need for different parts of the process so it can allow you to really connect to whatever's going to serve you in your creativity both to start and and all the metal bits and when there's frustrations and to finish celebration enjoy okay. Let's take a quick break and we'll be right back Craft hang out tip.

"Podcast. And i'm like fuck no on ice. Where i like to have a heineken. hennessy. Like i'll not your grew like that makes sense because you're super chill and you're a hypnotherapist and why don't you just try it. I was like okay. Fine okay fine. I'll do six episodes and see how it feels. And that was like twani fifteen february. Two thousand fifteen. Wow wow over. Six years spent a while. I know it gets like. I stopped counting at thirty million downloads. And i know it's crazy. It's crazy somebody told me like this stats. They can tell the stats on shows. And they're like. Oh yeah you're shows in the top one percent downloaded in the world. That's crazy so you do very targeted meditations and their brief yet strong and they have very specific areas of focus with visualizations. Yeah how did you come up with this technique. Yeah it's a great question a lot of what i do is borrowed from hypnotherapy now. The show is not hypnotherapy. Hypnosis but guided meditation and hypnotherapy are kind of like cousins or two sides of the same coin guided meditation is trance inducing. So as hypnotherapy guided meditation is relaxing. So as hypnotherapy guided meditation that meditators actually the one accessing the state inside themselves. Same is true for hypnotherapy. Hypnotist does not actually hypnotize somebody. They just create the environment that allows the other person to go there themselves. So i borrow from that. Which means is going to be a little more direct talk like you're feeling this or this or this and maybe you want to feel this other way other way this other way. They're still allowing right. Because i'm speaking to like multiple people both things use a lot of visualization and i developed my show. Because i'm personally somebody with like crazy. Add i used to get panic. Attacks had generalized anxiety. A when i was a teenager. I could make myself see sharks and swimming pools. Not kidding you like to the point. Rice scared myself and laughing and crying and scared all the time like i know. Jaws isn't in swimming pool but my daddy took me to see the movie. And now i see sharks and swimming pools. So i needed to create something that i would actually listen to which meant it had to be short had to be topics pacific and it had to be effective so i literally made a show that i listen to and there was nobody doing short meditations at that time susan a need for it. Yeah people were actively searching for something short and now people often say you should do something wrong. And i'm like meditation. I think we're going to just stick there. Yeah you're guided. Meditations have very specific flavor. That is very much you. So how did you whole nut style while i was a fulltime hypnotherapist from two thousand seven through to two thousand and eighteen. So what i would do is when i was working with clients and i focused the show. Roundings -iety incompetence like those are the two things that i really try to focus on negative thinking is i eighty confidence asleep. And whenever i would have sessions with clients you know. I was like oh there's a rabbit in a field like make a good podcast and i'd write it down and i would think about issues that came up both for me and other people that we would be like how you know pulling negative thoughts out of our head that experience. So i'm always thinking of from an experiential standpoint. How will somebody experience this. And then the deeper down the rabbit hole. I ended up making my own meditation music because most of the music out there was just terrible so was just so i'm gonna start figuring out how to make my own. It really creates the right atmosphere. I typically listen to your podcast with your buds. And sometimes they don't sometimes it just like you know. Have my phone just playing next to me. And the the sound design that you have in your show really helps thank you. I think yeah. I purposely penn things if you can listen on air funds. It is a better experience because the sound moves around in a way that is meditative and relaxing. I'm hearing you say it works most of the time it works for me. I listen to you this morning. I listen to you all the time shell unlike your big podcast superfan. All right speaking of podcasts. And you had mentioned that you had like millions millions and millions of downloads. Like how did you. How did you grow up. First of all. What's if you feel comfortable sharing your general numbers. I would love to know. Because the last i heard was like i think i don't remember but i got something from podcast movement that was like shell. Hamilton has a jillian ice. So i've switched. Podcast hosts in for people. Who don't know what that means. It just means that. I like switched banks right. I just kind of switched was keeping things a couple of times and say you lose stats unless you screenshot them. It's just not as easy to put them together. So i stopped counting at thirty million downloads and that was a couple of years ago. That's acceptable thirty million. That's amazing so but how did you grow it. Because it's it's such a huge number to stop counting at thirty million yeah. I grew it by connecting with people who had audiences that it would be complementary to so rather than trying to get podcast interviews or connecting with other people who are in my space like doing meditation. I connected with business. Coaches health coaches people in those spaces in my show is definitely as far as meditation. It's i try to make it accessible for people who wanna meditate at. Don't think they have the time. It's non dogmatic. I try not to make weird like some of meditation. There is really weird and we will like. It doesn't have to be like that. How do you use audience feedback to grow your practice. Yeah so i. I love my. It's taken awhile. But i love my Relationship with feedback. Sometimes when i look at the show and i read just three of us alone. Or maybe i get an email. When i'm feeling a little like do i really want to do this. Maybe it's not just tired. Why am i doing this. I go and i freed the reviews. And i read those emails again and i'm like okay. This is amazing. It's making a difference like oftentimes when people send me things. There was a a little boy. Eleven years old. Who listens to this show. And he got so inspired that he started making little meditations to share with his mom and they sent me one. And i put it on this show as his own episode. Because it was it's called benz orb meditation. It was just so sweet. But sometimes i get really negative feedback and in the creative process we get to also take that feedback in and maybe let it sit for a day because you know at first. You're like algae. And i have found that the negative feedback helps the practice of making the show better because sometimes they're right in some piece of it like. Oh yeah that ad. I was so annoyed about the it was so long. I'm like hey you know what that one did run like a minute thirty seconds and.

I really love how it started to is a lot more like the keyboard sound and lebron orchestra sound. That's super cool man. I liked it. A law star fox fans wish they had a pre in star fox game in two thousand. Four i'm not talking about the three d. The game qui ones that are star. The one that wasn't star fox and then they put starbucks dino planet or some- j. So this track going to give us a little bit of a taste of some of the themes that we're going to hear in the game so yeah this is This is the whisker squadron theme. At least i'm planning on making this theme. And i can't wait to extend this to be like a full loophole track As of now. It has a finite ending because like the trailers only so long. And i wanted to end a bam but So yeah. I have a lot of ideas caught. I am so excited to work on this game. Because there's so much that i can really deep dive into like a. I don't know how much of the game i'm allowed to talk about. But obviously there are certain levels. That are in space that i have ideas for for some of those were flying over different kinds of planets and i wanna make different themes for them. They're going to be boss. Fights that are procedurally generated. I be me. I read a lot of dynamically layered music. I'm trying to figure all right. Do i wanna have the boss name be thing and then have it change based off of which boss you fight. Do i wanna have the elements change based off of like the kind of elements of the boss. Procedurally generates because there are different elements that are alley skies of arcadia. Did years ago wear it changed based on how you were doing in the actual really taking damage or something you'd go crabbing going like the darker version of stop forgotten or worse but if you're doing better like now's the cool good version of is like the happy version versus us shoot is the danger. We're about the diversion so have kind of written music. That was reactive on like your health. Not so much. But i think i wanna do it base. I need. I need to know more about the the amazon development so clearly. I don't know everything that happens yet. But when i really get the to really get deep in a in there i will. I will have some sort of idea of like how d- how much of these layers gonna mess around with. And it's something that i love doing. I did since i've done it. Basically in every game. I've worked on basically so be you're gonna get some signature layer messing around this stuff from me as well as dazzle. Yeah and a friend was like hey gonna. Rates vapor wave the song i wrote for this clearly vapor wavelength. I written vaporware foreign. I really enjoyed the genre so shocking. Find somewhere in the game. I have an idea of where i want but in the game and i won't say where you could be anywhere. But yeah if he if he liked the sound of this and you like the son of the game in anything. We can't talk about sequels until the games done. But by the time this by the time this epsilon You will be able to see the trailer and an entire campaign. And i'll have written some stuff for the campaign and by written i mean like words and could i also music useless so impossibly bark force might show up to wish ab- look we're going to you now. Okay so i'm just going to get this out of the way right now. The original game. I was trying to look up a cover or remix was tech roadmaster. Which for the record list. I'm just day mec game though isn't it. it's a fighting game. But max right max. But they're folk. The focus is on the pilots. The focus is on the pilots. So go it's not pilot. Prior fighting game olympics the fight each other. Yeah but they're pilot by pilots. The pilots you bring up the trailer. Look up even just looking at the intro. The focus is more on the pilots and the actual mecca. They pilot like no. It's finding game. Of course it's focused on the fighting. It's not like you're fighting with the pilots in the mix. They're fighting for justice. I am dodging through the battles greg. Justice always justice with you. "Fit for this episode because born while board is a sort of like mac. Hexagon game like advanced words. But with mixed the difference in this game compared to those other types is that the generals actually pilot unique mets only they control and they are end skirmish with their actual troops in this case luella not only controlling her commanding her units. But she's also in the as well on her cool zillow gears looking neck doing awesome stuff and this is powerful. love it. i adore. It makes me want my own theme song. When i walk into a room with a glass of sparkling water not campaign was up every site already sparkling for me but also like i hate you for picking a song that is not pilots but it is pilots according to you but this song is so good back as do and And robert both trying to figure out the multi meter. But i do believe it's nine we've but specifically to two thirty so i couldn't i started and then i stopped at because i'm like i'm going to enjoy the track. Keep trying to figure this out. I'm not that good. Says i don't understand what you guys are doing. I'm trying to hold back a simpsons. Reference thing came to mind when we do the numbers duplicity. It's only two to three is how it works As the group are when you say that. Are you referring to like how i would just think of generic one two three four beat. You couldn't do the two step dance to the song i mean. This is like this is like like free form jazz reform jazz. But it's so. Here's the question. I guess it's just this is my relief. Says might relate to what you gotta tomba can. Maybe i understand it. But just don't have the terminology for so when i'm at the gym and doing my and workouts towards the end when i need to really put energy into a really tired. I'm kind of falling out. What i usually do to push through. Being exhausted is rather than focus on my actions. I focus on the music. I'm listening to and i do all my motions to the beat and sometimes it's slow. Sometimes it's like fit fit fit fit fit like punching to the music that i hear underneath the undertone of the music rhythms commodity. Would that be a similar scores. Like i'm pointing to the yeah. Yeah and it's like dance. Music is traditionally four four. Because it's a lot easier to kind of keep your group. Keep your step with it. I think i don't know. I love the intro to the song so much. In the way it builds and builds and builds and falls it's so unique and this is theme a one of the other other dangers of this comment. That's the danger of this game though and this happened to me in a lot of video games in general to mostly like these types of games with the war groups. Which is that you'll be. You'll start the game out and like the first or second track that plays is probably your favorite. So you're any like you want to just keep playing because you want to hear this music for as long as possible and then you get to a new character storyline or you get to a new general and their track plays which isn't bad but it sure as hell ain't that first one and you just kinda drop off now you're like i want to be the other person again they were. I wanna go back. Like i'm sure right there's more content or there's more can do with these other characters but they didn't have that saw from the music is your opponents theme and i'm like i'm so tired of fighting reawaken. I find her a sheet that song. Booties we're the carring tirlian about guilty gear in that regard room like off. You're so good kids like intruder five. You could edit the way that music was being played right. You can either so you can either said it so that you're listening to the stage music in general. It's okay but the character themes feel like are in general better. That's kinda hard to say and you can ended the menu. Be whatever you want to. So my song is always first bouquet then carleen and then after that i never hear them. Yeah harry. I'm just not in the many long carrying steam Like i think both of them. There's a couple of them and in her theme on the beach. The catholic kentucky each awesome. I've been shelved conduct beach me a safe. You may not have seen this chill but you might appreciate this. I guess rob posted in the group that our favorite guests is on the show today. And then chris murray says the unofficial third host of the show me. Oh thanks shows like it's happening. This was the first podcasts. I was ever on brand his the. I think you were the first people that ever had me on. Gwynn was like hey some people want to have you on the podcast. And the message. And i'm like we are. We're sort. i'm thinking we're like mad. Yeah we share similar opinions on certain things and then there's like you video games because you were the mind pre. I'm glad you came. Come sean. i'm glad you enjoy doing it because i think Podcasts has a whole. There's a lot of similar styles in very similar shows of like you know older white men all talking about like movies and it's really annoying. Hey hey hey hey. Hey say watch listen to some of the no. "All right. So i ended up choosing tracks that were specifically related to pilots but not necessarily what. They piloted so y. Here's a mac. No war board. And the trait is it is but it's about the pilot pilots in highlights point pilots was the about flying air or space like paolo cancer. On this show. I was piloting my toyota corolla. You could've picked rob themed track it's just aggressor now. We're.

"And we're back. You're listening to tornado alley from crash bandicoot. The wrath of cortex cortex composed by. Andy blyth and martin jau stra or castro talking about on the break how i crash a plane crashed to and i played crash three but i actually never played the ones win. The licensed switched over. Which i think was wrath of cortex in twin sanity. The license which i've never played either nude yeah. It wasn't naughty dog getting more. It was a human know who the actual company is. But it wasn't twin wasn't already till it was some other company at that kind of dropped off and then came back for crash for because it has a number so but like i liked the track here because despite the change in developer though frano maybe this is what still naughty. Don't have there's tales. Oh what's wasn't was right okay It still sounds like a crash tune. Them definitely still carries that field. Did you play this when joe. Yeah i beat it. Actually so i played a little bit crashed three but more time was spent on court and then recently but then like the last year played the remake trilogy and i was like i thought i crash bandicoot more than this because the first two games. I was not having fun but me being stubborn individual that i am push to crash through was more fun but once i was done i was done and then and then after he crashed. I learned that about the whole hit boxes thing. And why the ovals versus quakers in the why it made it so much harder so clearly you learn something and i didn't because i knew nothing of that. I just know that crash. In general was a franchise that i also don't know why enjoyed it. It's not that it was bad as far from fan it was just. I didn't find it special. Like it was very hop and baath at its purest form it was it was a three d platformer before mario sixty four so the sixty four it didn't have a it didn't have the formula yet. So they will. Do you know what it was like a fake out. Three d platform analyst. The problem like the call are sonic because it's sonic but you look at his foot in devils before but sonic existed to was the sonic behind the back. Modern saad running like four was never know when it comes to sonic. I know but the sonic dreams collection nobel while weird the weird or racing. One where there's like various weird shaped animals almond like before like mars before was still talk. Like visit gonna revolutionize platforming. This is the thing that's going to put nintendo back on top. While playstation one is gaining traction so kind of like how nintendo tried to use donkey kong country to outplay. The playstation playstation tried to play crash bandicoot to out play overshadow. Mario like we can do three. D platformer to check out crash like deep down. Crashes not a three d platformer so much as it runs on axes which is three is at a base level. But it's not morio running in circles and just gone off in the distance you'll know. Endless runner sometimes finite finite runner. Great so you described is exactly right. You're talking about like a weird small circles or ovals. Oh tell me about that. So i don't know what's going on the okay. So older back. In the old days boxes were all rectangles and so running and jumping onto platforms was a lot less quote unquote precise based off of the character miles. And whether or not the rectangle made on top of the rectangle. This meant that it was a lot. Easier in basically platform was more forgiving. So maybe you can sit on the edge of a of a square with this. Have a one pixel foot. Yeah so inversely game development. And i don't know if this is one of the things that they look back on leaking postmortem. But essentially i think the more modern crash bandicoot games have like rectangular or oval hit boxes which means that while it might match his foot geometry better. It made landing on things a lot less forgiving in the old days and i saw a gif of someone like kind of momentum jumping in the original one and it looked so smooth and and intuitive in the sense of like how you would expect platform ours. I felt like Comparatively the newer stuff. You have to be a lot more careful. And maybe i'm just maybe i'm just bad because crash really freaking hard. It's hard but apparently according to people and not just me and not my friends but actually the the new games are harder than they will remember. You said a new games. Do you mean like crash four. No no no the The remain mineral remake I honestly can't say because. I played three on there but it was also my first time playing three. I'd never played the original version. So i tried to go to the remixed and i lost it. I lost my temper. And i lost control heart. Yeah you lost the controller. No no. I was going to play through them with like. I kicked the tar out of three but that did not come without frustration because every vehicle over maybe wanna smash my head into the ground and this is what this is right tornado alley. Is this like Shooter kinda thing is he in a little. Oh yeah so. Because i look i'm not a i'm not a i'm not a cheater. I picked the song in crash bandicoot one of the special levels and you fly as in a plane and you got to shoot something. I don't remember what you're shooting you're gonna play in your shooting stuff tornadoes and don't think you had to shoot machines that are making tornadoes. Okay learn how to fly a plane. He's a cra- listen. He can drive a motorcycle and he can do deep sea diving and pilot submarine. He's he's he's fully clothed so he's learned address himself. He's not fully clothed only has pants. Well he's asked shoes. Shoes are hard to put. Coco is fully closed. Crashes crashes just a shirtless dude. I wear oshkosh get turned away from many restaurants because he's welcome at my restaurant outback steakhouse. Yeah he's He's he'll be he'll be the front staff you know he'll be the only throws a huge mouth enormous tongue okay. We're coming around to your first pick so we go.

"With my house awesome. That was does theme from colonel trigger composed by yasunori matsuda but that was composed arranged. Excuse me by the string player gamer. That was good. That was really good and that join. You told me if you ever want to come on your find a song you find a theme for that song. And then we go for and i was like okay. Either chump bosses. That are not actually that important which is kind of a mouthful. There's probably a way to condense or many games too and i was like. Yeah i'm fry. Because i i have. I have two tracks tracks. Man pilots do this anymore. I got no no great actually So much fun and it was surprising. How little piloting there. Actually was it. Just all the stuff. We have a redux nomex anyways. Apparently gatto is a. It's barely a fight at the very beginning of the game. There is a. There's a fair and you go to this fair and there are some various things that you do And there's this robot he's as big like a foot tall robot made by one character's luca and he has his little theme song they sing and he's like my name is gatto. I'm a robot. Defeat me for For fifteen silver points or something like that and and you need a sober points to spend on something. And it's just a bob and you fight god and his again barely a fight. It's more of a mini fight and the battle as normal ballet music but the conversation before and after the bye week gatos. I think it's just a lot of introduce you to the battle system right honestly. Yeah i think the the equivalent of a tutorial no not even there's there's an actual fight afterwards that actually teaches you how to fight. Go to the portal you. You'll find somebody a little goblin guys but got to just exists have a bangor of theme song and he has a little microphone. Pop signing things and There is a version of like apparently a crow trigger. tv show. That was like really really old and there is a version where a man sings his theme song in japanese. Susan i will just be like the salva pie. I also hate myself only clicked while we were talking about like his name comes from the song. The name come from the soul regard to mr abbado got two of the robot But also that's an english specific thing because i think in in japanese. His name is something different. I can't remember why trans translation have translation. Yeah yeah yeah yeah but still localization say yeah we we did a whole episode nori masuda and this was his first game that he did and he had a legend had a lot to prove their we joke about the how basically he basically wrote itself a golden ticket after composing karadzic. It was like well he can just come on any game like the one headliner track or when he got paid a touch for when he got out of the hospital. Yeah that's what he did. What happened he worked. He worked himself to death almost. Oh my yeah. He didn't sleep and in some really bad health issues and so I know boo boo. Who was working on fancy. Six at the same time came and finished the soundtrack show you then. The effort paid off though. I wish that hey cut you off. Don't don't glorify crunch coach. Saying i don't recommend that to anybody just saying ed paid off when people say. Oh but that's what people say for the less of us to look a little bit of world is award cepeda are darling cranston again with. Yeah you don't award the crunch but at the same night you can say you guys did good work have been better if you spread it over the course of two years and six months well he begged square soft to to do a soundtrack So this was his first and so he he wanted to. It's fantastic. i the get themed across. Trigger is still i think one of the best best pieces ever composed per now we are up you pronounce. Unfortunately iran castle is not a mini game. So we can't go with that but What i can't go with is the trek. I brought to the show And that is from again. That i actually have played in a while but it comes to mind for me a lie which is morial luigi browsers inside story on the track that i picked is the cover to one of the many game. Things that place off the game. So this is just many game cover from the game. More louisi- badges inside story and is covered range.

"Better thing to do. But if you like to dance around the rosser like i do like if i go to street fighter five and i decided to hit the random and i get I don't know. I get who lucia poison. I don't. I don't know i don't know how to play so different. They're all so different. And i start exactly three characters and then came. That's not true. I can play more than three. But the point is is that You don't really know things you don't know what to what you're like. Oh i hope do is going to be this But like the barrier of entry of is not too bad. The ceiling is incredibly high. All three of these games. There's an insane level of movement there's unseen there's there's a huge variety of movement options. There's ton of options for offense as well as defense. These games all have a feeling that there are things that are made characters good but there is always something that you could have done. There's nothing on a so bs that year like No one's broken and it's not about balance it's not about balance of like their gig. 'cause i feel like they were trying that way too hard with streetfighter five because yeah because you can have an unbalanced game characters but if you're just a bunch of people who are like casually you know trying to figure out and get better like if someone's like spamming something someone's gonna figure out how to get around it you know so. Actually i was going to get to the third point and the third point is that theories a diverse relatively balanced cast but they are all very different people want people think they want balanced people think they want to here here. I'm back on my game bs. They want balanced. But the the only truly bounce game is a game where there's one playable character if there's one pilot character of course now then. The point of the fighting is in the balance. The fighting game is like the fundamentals right. But you'll get a guilty gear. You see potemkin. He's enormous is so big. He has certain limitations he cannot air dash cam. That is a very air heavy He cannot run There are other characters have multiple jumps. I can't remember who are using our number. He's from glazebrook. I caught myself. And i also like place. But also gonna weariness to it. So we know. Blazing bridget There's there's a bunch of You know and and bridget I miss i miss bridget. But there's a bunch of care so like one time. I think it was one. Yvo top aide for guilty gear had nine different characters. How cool is that eight. Different people played nine different characters. Were used that's beautiful thorough viewer to see for competitors pay for for person who actually plays. That's just it means that the game doesn't get stale as a male player. I know you might be like what was i. Bet fox final destination. Yeah so chelsea what about mailing and you just diverse now To be perfectly honest it is not perfectly balance acknowledged that half of the cast is not very usable but mostly is a third of cast is almost never use and there's like a pocket of like counter pixel like rare characters that you still see some people who are like mid tier heroes And if you look at the top ten. I think fox falco chic puff Chew yoshi That's a fairly decent that's six. That's at least six characters in the ice climber. So yeah there's there's at least six different characters in the top ten in terms of weight horns. I forget talks. It's okay it's okay anyway. The boy is the point is is that if you look at the top ten the top ten players in the world you have to people who granted them alone carry their entire their character by far acts like the only he gets you in the top one hundred i think also the only yoshi in the top one hundred but both of them are top ten. They're both incredible and so there was actually slow. Why diversity of characters now the majority of the juicy uc will be one of four Say they're so theirselves. Oh man talk anyways. The point is my criteria is. It's easy to get into. It's a by in my opinion by definition finding as like easy to understand what you're looking at not as much of a but like see how far far's getting hit you see that guy's going on you can put together It's easy to get into. It's got in high ceiling so low floor. High ceiling and diverse a diverse cast that has good representation across the competitive team. That was a long rant. I'm sorry. I watched a tournament. Not too long ago hosted it but it was all the game footsie's which is literally supposed to stick figures. Look exactly the same and have the exact same move set but you are playing footsie's you can kick or you You throw a knee or you do like a little. A little lo- Low sweep and those moves kind of cancel each other out. It's almost like a rock paper scissors and your spacing each other out. It's just it was fascinating. I really enjoyed watching it. I see this footsie stranded puts. These was cool. It was like some charity tournament that it was done by One of the famous lake street fighter in tekken announcers gains chen. Now it was only heating is am san. It's guy he's always tasty. Steve osage suggests tasty tasty. Stephen real life had a panacea. Swansea's i hope what like i see these personalities and i'm like oh man i hope they're cool because you know they're printing hope they're pringles because because we all know how champ turned out I used to watch how i know me too. I was so into it by mike. Ross was the hero of every day but anyway i'm still counter with mike ross. Cry it's just count rowley. Legs burley's is incredible fighting game slayer for those of you. Don't know burly legs player. Who is I think paraplegic is no that is not the right word Purply yes so. He is in a wheelchair and He plays street hundred with his mouth. He has his hands. I don't think and actually fully full. The controller does how his body as rips the joystick with his mouth and he can use his fingers on his right hand. His left hand is just to stabilize it and he has a. he has a An interview from cross counter and he tweeted out at this point. I was only interviewed by mike. Ross rob's like so much to know. This is all stay in this. Yeah buddy. This is gamer content. Also i remembered. I have something to plug. Should i wait until the end of the show on the next break. This is good because my my my voice isn't great and i what you to talk for. I can okay. That's a risky venture friend. You rob cuts in and we're moving on shut this so okay cornell. "Of the abyss composed by toy soccer and shinji. Tomorrow there's some interesting sounds going on in that that tune like the whistling cool listening. There's some weird like mouth noises. Maybe her nel said that he didn't remember where the sign was from. And i said it very briefly earlier but i think that weird sound. You're hearing that sounds like it's use. It sounded like a straw. I think it's great. Because this tune in somebody generic yes at the dock a very generic creep pushing game and this happens. And we're like sounds pretty catchy. I should remember that now. Because i was going to tell you something funny that ties into your earlier dialogue about trails in the sky so now you're saying completion. Is you know you're going to get everything so such so i never beat trails at the brit trails. The tells the abyss because tells me best has a mini game runners. Too many games in one being or one being the skeleton warrior battles where you get to fight skeleton warriors and various places in the game. Did i let me skeleton battles. Where like you fight them in a different weapon that the nfc beaten them. All you end up like this really cool like but you have to beat every skeleton awarded if you missed one. You're out of luck. But then the most annoying thing which i only learned about i learned about while leaving the dock when you land there again to go back to a town is a. There's this ant line quest or something where you have to go this guy. A desert town trade items with him and then get to get through the entire roster of things he wants or to get again and other bonus in game item but there was a glitch where he would say. I want an orange jill. What he won't take it because if you didn't give them your job a very specific point in the game it just blocks the quest owing and what had happened like. I don't wanna play this game. Mark quit playing the entire game. My sister and i played this game a long time ago. And this is before we started using like guides to make sure we didn't miss out on content. Because we're we like to do a lot of cyclists and tales of the abyss. There's a they're like these two generals that are from different countries and they have a correspondence with each other and romance. 'cause we've missed all of it one part of it out of like six and we're like well dang i would've liked to see that So i was going to say also that the last time on. I told my sister which is a picnic. She's like you didn't pick theme of many game so now that we have back. I have to pick it east. Yeah not this show. Ever listen to this podcast but she can definitely wall. We are telling me like you know you might have a little bit of a surprise. You listen to the show and she'll expect you to now some money that you were had designated reality is just being mini to thirty dollars good game. I'm tempted right now to shout at my wife through. Technically i will say always go do find it. Funny how there was a period where square became notorious for releasing games with convoluted secrets. I e fall fancied. Tim was one of the big ones where the secrets were convoluted with. The being to sell play online guides. I feel like the tales games totally had their own thing going with that before square. Got into the business of making things like that with the intent. Sell guys because there's a lot of many that time cut offs and very special point of time you have to hit them and dialogue strange specifically at the right time. It's something guy you've talked to do what you're doing it again. Even before that there is super metro all those god. Dang secrets here. But you couldn't miss any like and if you didn't find the energy tank you can just come back and shoot all the walls until you see it later. Tales literally cut you out is like you get on the boat. We're talking to the guy at the bar within the five minute window. You get you know. There's no hard like in. there's no real lifetime. Murray says all in game south. I know it was. It was real time lose my mind i would actually go. And that's both bassey nine. This is a really fun. Happy track for another loses. Mind over do don't you i still. I still sometimes listen to the magical at least attracted he posted last time. 'cause a bob. Yes so good whenever some until His face like xanadu e. x. I'm like well. You listen to magical girl lisa. Now so guess. What for treat ever get to xanadu probably not. There's too many games in the world. And i would die before i get to my backlog which is a depressing thought. They knew but wives. If you're okay with gains. That could possibly be a little depressing but at the same time. The narrative is really cool as a game. I started playing called a maury which is pretty awesome in that regard. This call o m ore out. I'm pretty sure it's meant to be like off of kiko maureen But it's a really cool. Rpg that was probably inspired by earthbound. But it's it's pretty awesome in it jumped my cue so when a game jumps the cue said something doing ese nine now and i want to play amaury more. It's such an interesting style to the game. You know like the artist is so unique to it like crayon scribbles from the enemies and stuff. It's just it's really cool. And get gain has some legitimately dark undertones to narrative unraveling. That is outside of the white space in the most of the game. The oldest is so is a colorful. It's not nearly as colorful as the world. You're in so. I'm looking goes so the artists so cute and it says amaury is a surreal psychological horror. Rpg maker can. That explains why the artists okay. Oh so you've heard of okay. Oh yeah no. I've i've been following art for a long time. I haven't seen. I haven't seen their stuff in a while but like yeah i'm like i'm tempted but also horror and i are not want necessitate resident evil seven fact there's very few horror elements. It's just as a dark dinner somewhere. And i've been playing play twenty hours. I hadn't gone home. Lowers meaning twenty to thirty hours. A shaw dan. That's not. I mean it's short for an rpg. Look i've been trying to place. New paradise killer game is supposed to be like eight hours. I'm on our seventeen. Like local mom has played paradise killer. And i'm just. I got it for free. I think from one of the dead's thanks. Hope the deva's listening shells. Thank you think came in our last episode right. Some of the music did from paradise go. Yeah because i want to say The guy for runaway four was playing so it was because it was buddy cop show. All right let's move on to some new musics new games and keep talking about some games that you are all playing right now anyway So i think you're next who meet that that case then as my first track. I'm gonna go on the on the hammer here. Because as you guys teased me about having to clearly pixel from yuccas like a dragon. I decided to oblige that so this race race. Track core steam three dragon..

They accused the intelligence Office of betraying the public's right to know how foreign powers were, as they put it, trying to subvert our democracy.
