"Dot or h two six two six four. Yeah, thank you. Which makes exporting video super fast and the MAC pro doesn't have quick sync support. So that's another benefit of the I MAC. And yet another reason why makes no sense to buy an I'm at pro base model because it's just not, it's, it's not even as fast as the MAC in many video in many video tests that I've seen so and, and as far got an apple not reducing the prices of computers as their components are decreasing. And that's that's an issue. I mean, they're still selling the same trash talk for basically the same. Price. They moved them around a little bit. Since since two thousand thirteen that computer came out in his still the same pricing. But that being said, we also are dealing when the in the laws of diminishing return, whereas, you know, that I'm back that I MAC the seventy seven hundred K I MAC that is going to last up just a regular average content creator. I don't know ten years like we just there is. A little bit longer than I would think. But no, I'm I'm I'm in now up to year three and year to of this one, and, but we're getting less and less bang for our buck, and then obviously, if apple had embraced AMD and, and, you know, the twelve twelve course, twenty four threads that would be fun. But on the other hand, most of us don't really need that kind of power, the chip wars are over, there's going to be refinements and things like that. I mean, people on a dual core was at Duke or core dual dual core computer can still surf the internet and write stuff and view video, I mean, those are old chips old technology to core four thread, chip will still do you. If that's all you're doing if all you're doing is writing stuff, and, and even making music, you don't need a powerful chip for making music. I need lots of ram. And, and those, those computers will still run. So I think apple understands that they don't really need to update. Well, I think there's a need perceptually two thousand different point then now you're competing with the HP's and, and all that. So I mean, there's no need to come out with new cars every year, but Honda still does it because doing it to, you know, they got to compete in the marketplace that apple doesn't no one sees them as competing. So those of you who are just wanting to step step, you know, dip there, so into hacking tasha, and you have a MAC, I suggest you go out and get one of those used HP sixty three hundred mini towers, the thirty-seven seventies. The chip with the seven thirty seven seventy and there I don't know you could pick up for like two hundred fifty bucks. And build a hacker tasha that easy. Is it just like the all the components are easily supported by the hacking talk? So you can just load it on there and be good. It's pretty good. It's not that hard. That's a that's what start get it used used HP sixty three hundred tower with the ice thirty seven seventy. Chip. Dental put that show. I don't know what it's what the prices in the United States. But I mean there there's just millions of them out there on EBay. Yeah, we'll it's a PC that's more than a year old. It's absolutely nothing really their ancient. But they're wonderful hacking, Tauch, -able, and shockingly, fast, and you can put a if you got a PI slot. But you can't add power to it. So if you have a, a graphics card, that can run from the power off the PI slot like forty Rx four sixty it's not a bad way to build a little media PC. No, it's, you know, be awesome. Yeah. You'd probably be really happy with you'd be very happy with that. All right. There you go. I don't wanna take up any more your time dinner era. You gotta go make dinner understand. What do you make it when you check into knows chicken who?.

"Is thirty three hundred dollars thirty three hundred dollars versus like eighteen hundred dollars include the monitor, so, yeah. Eighteen hundred dollars includes my monitor, but you're getting better performance on sheen. And I had to guess I would probably say it's fifteen to twenty percent faster than regular Rimac. It's my geek bench is about the geek bench on this MAC. I remember about nineteen thousand and mine is twenty three thousand. Okay, so yeah about twenty percent. Wow. So and two thousand dollars. Here's another brilliant thing. I've had many max, where the power supply has gone, and then you have to send it in about a week two weeks or whatever my power plant really went on this computer. I walked over to Canada. Computers bought another one. Brought it back stuck it in those back up and running. And like you said, you're not having any issues you're just using it to edit video zoom. And, and to your daily computer, and you're, you're creating content, which is what I do too. And that's always the angle at which I try to look at this, because that pushes the computer, and that's that stress is what's gonna make it break oftentimes, but you aren't having any problems. No. And but I'm being very circumspect. And I'm I'm well, enough versed and technology that I'm confident that I can make this work. I mean like I said, it's, it's not for the. It's not for the faint of heart. Just don't get it and think that it's going to operate the same way as a MAC. And if you are technically inclined the night say, yeah. Sure. I think it's a little thermal, paste on your hands. No, I, I can deliver the CPU without delay. If that's the sound of it and gets you on this just might be for you. My right. Yes, I turn, let's go. Well, that's it. That's all I have this has been an aluminum conversation, I guess for me. I just have to figure out, do I want to take the risk, because it sounds like the reason this is worked so well for you is because you went through the process, you learn how this machine behaves, and you have a breath of knowledge, that you have that you have earned that has allowed you to keep your machine running in tiptop shape. And I guess for me is the question for me is, is it worth going through all that effort just to save? Some money and have the ability to upgrade your opponents..

"Why can't I work with a mouse on my I I get it. I get that. Steve wanted to force finger Centric software touch Centric software into the minds of the Leising. Soft lazy softer community. I get it. But they've got it. They figured it out there making great touch manageable softer. But sometimes I prefer my, my mouse. I totally you know why not. And apple doesn't let you do that. They've got a file system in Iowa, that isn't really a file system. You can't really attach USB drive and see. It's you know you it's structure. I mean it's unbelievable. Frustrating. So I mean, in the case here apple has forced people's hands. And said, if you want to have an optimal, optimal experience on MAC, OS than you gotta run metal at work. So works really well medal is, is, is brilliant. And I think someone said that adobe has even started to. Oh, bring their stuff closer to some kind of metal happiness. You know, the irony is, is with the ipad, regards the ipad. They're pushing this thing, as a as a computer replacement, which I still think is laughable. I know there are people out there that disagree with me. I always have to caveat that because here from those people after we, we release this, but it's certainly not a replacement for me. And they're pushing this whole touch based s with the, the smart keyboard. But Tim, or Steve Jobs, when he was asked about creating a touch screen computer said, well, no one wants to hold their arm out and be touching. The screen of their MAC your arm gets tired. It's not a good computing experience. Here we are with the ipad, and that's exactly the experience, that they are providing people, I think this is just me wishing and hoping the universe grabs onto this. But I think that eventually apple is going to hybridize the IRS or is going to hybridize and create a. Version that is parks, MAC, part pad, because the ipad will truly never be a notebook replacements until you can access the files until you have mouse support and can run some apps that run on the MAC. I don't think because you just kick creates the ipad is not a good creation tool in my opinion. The MAC is total freedom. You can do whatever you want and the ipad. It's a great media consumption device, but until they allow some type of MAC MAC OS system on the ipad. It's just not going to be good for creation. I agree. I mean, unless you're a pen artist where you can do brilliant stuff on the ipad. Yeah. Some people have attempted to edit videos on the ipad, and I guess it, can it kinda works. I, I mean, I, I think part of the MAC issue also goes back to they drank their own Kool-Aid with regards to the end of desktop computing. I mean, they made some kind of announcement that the future is pad pad computing and kind of people went people kind of went. Oh, yeah. No. I can make sense that make sense. You know. Minority report future and clear. Ipads and, and computers are going to be dead. But and I think that's one of the Rhett, the they, they had this moment, where they couldn't really decide whether the ipad was going to be what they're going to push as the future of content creation. Laura show. I hope no I'm absolutely certain that that was one of their hesitancy with regards to refreshing, the MAC mini and, and MAC pro. I'm absolutely certain. And then we've got the issue. Where are they gonna move to architecture for everything because they want to get away from Intel. Yeah. I mean, it's, it's we, we have no idea where we're that is going as far as the hack into our community is concerned. I don't think they're you know, no one should be concerned about anything for the next five years because apple has to support computers for a good a long time..

"How are you like in your house? You've had it for what two years now. So coming up tomorrow, we'll be three years for this for this year's, and this is your main machine. And what's it, like, are you having issues not as a stop working? Can you use the third part or the, the built in apple services and all that stuff? Like, how's everything works? You've no problems at all everything, everything works. So I've got why I mean, I've got hand off. I've got you know, I come downstairs. My, my apple watch on automatically unlocks the computer, so every little thing, everything works. So I mean, again, it's been a learning process, the biggest problem over the years was just. Being certain that I had the full performance of all the USB ports, and it's only been fairly recently that I learned about manually setting USB, port assignments and kinda complicated. But fun it was really, really neat to do. And I did it the most complicated way. Now apparently there's a slightly easier way but I just haven't had time to today into it. So you know now with every single I MAC, I have in the house, I've manually assigned, the USB port assignments, and then learned about I Orage softwares fund. I mean, that was just a, it's at that points to the fact that I've always told people that if you're, if you want to be a hacking Tosh owner user builder. It's not for the faint of heart. I mean, it's, it's not that hard, but on the other hand, you know, there are people have no idea how to run. Or manage just a regular MAC. I get phone calls from friends all the time where they suddenly have some kind of browser malware, and have no idea how to get rid of it and went, and there are people who are like that who go. Wow. I, I wanna get cheaper Mack. Well, no. I don't really recommend that. So you're saying there is some amount of finessing that goes into maintaining the computer. It's not just as the great Ron pope e would say, set it and forget it. No absolutely not. So for me when apple announces a software update, let's say a point up date. I don't just hit the button and say update I have to go and update all my, what are called cast files, and then I also need to check, whether my boot loader is at the same level that the point release will work with. I've create I've done. I've set up my MAC and more of a vanilla way which mitigates two things that usually get broken with every upgrade..

"Left to right here is Chato. Who's six Homer gave the Padres. They lead to two one. And he takes a called strike a good slider on the outside. Now. Moronta? Throwing that pitch confidently. Machado hit a high fly ball just hit the the front edge of the tin roof out there. Hicks attended home run. That's the ground rule. There's a ball outside one ball one strike. Didn't hit it all that hard on me today that he that hard but only ninety eight miles an hour and did not at the top of that tin roof. It hit the the front edge of no see that very often as the foul back into the second Dak strike too. Had a big rip at that fast ball and didn't get it. Much auto is one for three in the game. Hitting two fifty so far this year. Eleven for forty four. But with three home runs including the one he hit today to on the Padres. Lead the pitch swing and there's a pop fly shallow right into his right is Duggar. He's retired in order in a strong ending their for Morocco, which the giants were hoping to see the last of the eighth inning. The pitcher spot then you'll see Pablo Sandoval then pillar and Duggar follow and it is to San Diego on KABC northern California Honda dealers radio network..
Major League Baseball Preview: It's Opening Day 2019
"Opening day, and I cannot wait Madsen Yanks get everything started at one on five. I realize Harrison I was just looking over the schedule before the Mets and the and the Yanks are the only to apply at one zero five tomorrow one a Yankee actually one Mets for one zero five and then the other games will follow throughout to go around major league baseball right now, we welcome. And Scott Miller who's a national baseball columnist for Bleacher report scout amongst other things Scott happy opening day. I mean, this is this is a great grey day for baseball fans everywhere. A big slate of exciting action all across major league baseball. It is happy opening day to you as well. And yeah, it's it seems like it can't get here. Quick enough. I always say, you know, baseball more than any other sport has brings with it something that is unique that nothing else can say that simply as opening day equates. To the promise of summer, the promise of the last day of school is very close. It's getting closer. And who doesn't like the thought of summer vacation and whatever else and thought of war nights at the ballpark. Yeah. I mean, there's a lot of things that go into the other thing I would add to that. Scott would be the fact that you know, you have it there for you pretty much every night for the next six months, it's different than opening night and football way opening week, whatever it is. And then it goes away for a few days. And then it's once a week baseball. Once it starts, it is six months of basically there for you every single night. And that's what I love about it. Yeah. No question. I mean, I I know, you know, even you know going back as a kid growing up in Michigan. I grew up about thirty miles south of Detroit so back then I followed the Tigers. And, you know, just, you know, your kid, and you can't you know, you don't have your driver's license yet or anything. Thing every night the summertime you had a friend. You had you had your Tigers. In my case on TV. College. I had a great summer job at a state park in Michigan. Yeah. During my summers off in college and state park, quite often. I would be a permit but without front as cars came in. I take their money, you know, the three bucks or whatever cost command and a state park was over near lake eerie and not only were you outside in the summer. But I had a radio in that booth and I worked at three thirty to eleven thirty shift and listen to music up until about seven or seven thirty. And then I click over to hurry. You know him and Paul Carey telling me all about whatever was going on with the Tigers at night. And you're right. It every night every day there there there's something that just build slowly. And slowly, you know, like a great book read a chapter, maybe grabs you, then the next one. And then you go on and what the Mets in particular. And you're right. I mean, that's that's the beauty of what the Mets in particular. You get excited early on because the Mets own opening day. Matter of fact, they've won thirty seven of the west forty nine last year. They started started twelve and to Scott and everybody at least around here. At least myself I was excited about this ball club in and then they went into the tank naturally. So that book got pretty bad in a hurry. You look at this meds ballclub in the National League east in particular. Where do you rank the Mets right now in the NFL is heading in opening day? You know, I it not deduct a question. But is that's what's gonna be fascinating about the summers. I think anywhere from first to fourth. I mean, you know, depending on health depending on the way things go, I mean, you know, the National League east more than any division of the game. You had teams trying to better themselves trying to to to you know, deliver that knockout punch in the wintertime with trades and free agent signings. Dom, you know, I mean the nationals I think everybody talks about them losing Bryce Harper. And the funny thing there is I think a lot of people are kind of dismissing the nationals because hey, they lost Bryce Harper. That kid want. Soto is great Victor rollerblades is coming out. They're going to be good Phillies made their moves Atlanta won the division last year. You know, I like what the Mets did. I think they they they they made some smart moves. You know, obviously you start with the pitching. Graham, and how about the ground versus shirts or the mile. I mean talk about a great opening day matchup but him center, Dr Wheeler. I like getting Edward D as I mean, people Robertson knows the bigger name. I, of course, still and people say, oh, can I was going back to New York? But Edwin d as the this kid was as good a closer was in a game last year for Seattle. That's a great addition. You know? Behind the plate. You know? Wilson ramos. I think there's some promise, and it's gonna take health and has gonna take some, you know, smart play and Conforto needs to continue to improve. But you know, like, I said without doc in the question. I mean, I thanks go. Well, I think they're gonna content put it that way. I think you'll see a fourteen horse race down into the last into August and September and how about the National League overall. We don't need to go into the specifics of each division here. But you mentioned Al the National League east can be in the brave yet through the defending champs and natural good even without harbor Phillies. Clearly better their lineup on paper looks loaded Mets made some improvements. So those four teams should be battling there. I mean, you look at the rest of the National League. How do you feel the central is gonna plan everybody? I know loves the cubs this year people high in the cardinals brewers are pretty darn good. You're talking now we just went over to divisions in there are seven teams potentially to be the playoffs even with the reds improving. I still don't think that they're realistic realistic. To be playoff team. And then in the west I mean, yeah. At least have two or three teams fighting for the postseason. So Scott when you look at it, how do you see the wildcard plan out? I mean, you could give me the divisions. I but in the National League the Walker is going to be intriguing. Yeah. It is. Because you're you're right. I mean, you know, the cubs ninety five or more games. I think for four years in a row at you know, they they have a really good team. You know, the one team I'm keeping an eye on. I I'm not so sure about no walkie. I mean on paper, they look really good. But they're one team that kind of disrespect starting pitchers. I mean, they're they're success last year aside from the smart moves to get Renzo Kane and Christian yelich their success. Was that bullpen was phenomenal. Josh Hader is back and going to be really good. But you know, Jeremy Jeffress has a sore shoulder. Corey knievel sore elbow to start the year. Those were two guys that played a big role in that broke in the bullpen. So my question with the brewers. I think for them to repeat last year. They've got to have the bullpen pitch. Every bit as good as it did last year. And I'm not sure both sides are so volatile. I'm not sure if they're going to be able to match what they did last year. So, you know, that's why I'm watch wants Milwaukee. Cincinnati. Please is gonna hit like a zillion home runs in that ballpark. He's probably gonna drive the rats crazy with some of his antics. They'll be fine. Say Lewis is gonna be good doubt. Dodgers everybody talks about Clayton Kershaw unavailable for opening day because he's opening on the injured list, but they're pretty deep. And I think they still are the favorites in the National League West Colorado's right there. Again, you talk about all the teams that are contenders. I'm not sure. But I tell you what for the first time in ten or fifteen years, the Padres have become relevant. Manny machado. It's gonna be fascinating to see what he does especially after playing the villain, and I told her and I was shocked. You know, the Padres went the opposite way of what most teams do keep the kids in the minors to buy an extra year of service time delay free agency. They call up their kid Fernando taste junior is going to be the opening day lineup playing shortstop tomorrow as well. Next Chato and he's juniors right there next to Blad. Gratitude here is one of the best prospects of the game. So you know, everywhere you look a lot to be excited for we're talking about Scott Miller national baseball columnist for Bleacher report. Yeah. And that's Scott. Normally I feel like you could read the predictions from everybody in America that writes these predictions. Are you looking at it yourself? It's hard to pick against the teams who are consistently. They're hard to knock off the cobs hard to knock off the nationals. The dodgers, then maybe you take one or two different teams making the playoffs this year in the National League in particular when you look at it going into the year. Maybe I'm wrong. Greg me, if I am I see more parody than ever before you can make a scenario as we just mentioned a bunch of different teams. I wouldn't be shocked if any of those different scenarios happens where you can have three to four teams in each division competing for playoff spots. Yeah. I think that's true. I think that's that's healthy for baseball. Because I, you know, look we're coming off a season where attendance dropped about four percent last year and seventeen of thirty teams saw tennis declines. And there are various reasons for that. You know baseball will tell you a big part of the reason is the April and may weather last year in the east and midwest was really bad, cold, rainy and fans just didn't want to come out. I'm sure that's a contributing factor last year. Was the first year in baseball history. Whenever more strikeouts than hits. I think the way the games being played right now is a contributing factor to attendants declining. But the third contributing factor in my opinion, is you know, we've reached that stage. You know, we were tanking is kind of gotten away from that a little bit this year. But if you want to say tanking or rebuilding clubs have realized the middle's the worst place to be if we can't win we need to strip things down and rebuild. And I think too many teams in the last couple of years have have done that. And so what you've gotten is is, you know, fans in number of cities losing interest in the game because their local team is trying so hard it's basically stripping down rebuilding. So the fans are like, well, what's there to be excited about what you just said in the National League to that last point? I think finally in the National League at least you're right as you look. Around. You don't see, you know, a third of the league or more rebuilding. You see teams that they think they can win in that are giving their fans reason to hope and that is not the case. Of course in the American League's we transition narrow let's start with the American League east. Let me ask you this way. More concerned with the Yankees injuries slash starting rotation or the Red Sox bullpen heading into the year. Yeah. It's Baltar concerns. I you know, I I pick the Red Sox to win the division last year. And I'm leaning that way this year because I respect that Red Sox rotation. Chris sale, David price report, Selo and company. And also, I think the Red Sox where I like him last year, and I still sort of do that lineup. I think there are back at more strikeouts than hits in the game. There are fewer strikeouts. In the Red Sox lineup there. It's a nice mix of power in contact hitters on base guys guys that can put the ball in play. Whereas, you know, as we know the Yankees lineup is really exciting. But at Tanah homers, and and you guys are going to strike out a bunch. So that's sad. I would give the edge the Red Sox, but they didn't bring Craig kimbrel back Joe Kelley was under rated and that bullpen last year. He was a free agent went to sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers. So. So the Red Sox bullpen is a work in progress. I tell you what. There's a chance that bullpen could make Alex Cora. Look not so smart after they made him look really smart in his debut season. As manager last year, you give the raise any chance to make ninety games for goodness sake or ago. Yeah. I think so I mean, you know, look Blake's now, you know, part of the fun. This year is is is is is it is every year is finding out. You know, what our guys gonna certain guy's gonna do for an encore Blake Snell is one of those. I mean Cy Young winner last year phenomenal. But the baseball history is stacked with all kinds of you know, one hit wonders guys that were great one year. And then they they did repeat the m-. The thing about baseball. It makes it so difficult is, you know, the the Mark of a great player is consistency over a number of seasons. You know, when you turn a guys baseball card over, you know, the statistic line. Doesn't jump out at you from one year. But rather over five six seven years is pretty consistent. And that's what Blake's now is going to have to build this year. He's got to build on what he started last year. And that's gonna be interesting. I liked the addition of Charlie Morton, former Houston Astro into the rotation in Tampa Bay that's going to help. They got some good things going on Tampa Bay.

"How are you today? Well, I'm sitting in the sunshine and just gotta make sure that I have my sunblock on. So I don't get burned. In clearwater. I know you guys have come down here. One jim. Get yourself from the sun. Nice little breeze sitting here watching the players in pitchers and catchers, some of the other players go out and hit a little bit after the pitchers and catchers workout. So just it was a busy day here today between Aaron Noah's new Stoppard's. Yep. Contact speaking and listening to this Bryce Harper nonsense, which I am done over with moving on. On yahoo. I'm moving on. Meaning you don't want Bryce Harper anymore. No. I don't care. Because I already know they're a better team, and they're a better team and everybody's going to be disappointed or or because lice Harper. Manny machado. I've kinda given up on Mattie Chato, all of that's the guy that I want because this team needs the more. You think Manny Machado, it'd be better at and Kingery and Franko platooning. So, but I've given up on ninety seven I think the Yankees wage, but I'm just I'm dying. It's about money. I it should and click, and I asked the questions morning you concerned it's more about money than the franchise or the city or the team plays for and you know, she won't answer that question. But if it's not about the money, then what's he waiting for? Whether he gets twenty five million more when you get two hundred and fifty million, and I'm just using a rough number, but I know what's under three hundred two hundred and fifty. Bad for the rest of your life and the next life and the next next life next back to that does he wanna play for the team or is he more concerned about the money and fat which concern me if it's about the money, and it's not about the team you play for then I have a problem. I'm with you. I I agree with your assessment there. Howard. How different does the does the vibe feel down there with the new signings? I it is a lot of veteran talent and experience about to be showing up. I mean, some of which has shown up with rail Muto present. And does it does it feel like a different team that that kind of knows that it's better to well. The vibes always good when the beginning. And it's the beginning of spring training and players excited divides. Good, obviously, the pictures are happy that we real new show. Now the catcher because he's better catcher defensively there'll be less wild pitches. It'll be less passed balls, and that's going to be better. And he's a good hitter. Which kind of makes you want to heart, but more if that's the way you really wanna go because Harper left-hander, and you got a good good right handed back your lineup beyond that. And then Aaron Nola signing create some excitement a lot of the players were in the room with the news conference. So they could see, you know, so they could see and listen to all this stuff. So all of that all that together was good. But it is a good five. And I'll also tell you this about the players goes lost weight. Oh, yeah. He's got some guns. Now, I mean guns on his arms. Does he does he have bat speed though, Howard? I well, we don't know that. But the reality is, and then Nick Williams spoke this morning votes. They all spoke just one of those guys are in there. Now all of the not to report, but Nick Williams has put on ten pounds, but he doesn't look heavier. So he's been working out Duboulay rare looks thinner Franko, losing ten pounds. I mean, it looked like he lost more. So great guy came in. They came in ready, and they know it's a better team. And that's the whole thing they sit and wait, you know, what I found fascinating. And after Nick Williams spoke to the media. I I kinda hung around there. And I said Nick you represented by Scott Boris, right? Does he keep you any indication because it does affect you? For science here to question is not at all now that unfair to your client. Hey, man, you know, I don't want you to worry about. Did you say something? And then what you're worried about this. If there's a, you know, if if the Phillies do with Bryce Harper decides to go to Philadelphia, we'll we'll try to make sure that you you land in a good place. If you're trading yield some to give them some encouragement Scott Boras doesn't care about his other clients. He only cares about himself in getting the big the biggest deal. So we can get another client. That's where I have the problem. And that's why I'm just tired of. I'm tired of it. But it's not fair to the players that he represents especially the one here Nick Williams who directly affected by short for science your, but. Knicks. Not he's okay with it. Coming out there and play, and they're all ready to come out there and go after and and they know they have a better team and they're excited about that resides spoke this morning, and he's excited about it. He's excited because they know they're going into this season with the team that has even though last year it just kind of fell apart at the end of the year. And they thought they were good enough. But obviously, they weren't good enough. Now, they're good enough. What do they get price Harper night? They're a good team. So what's the deal with Jared Goff with the carpal tunnel surgery and trying to come back from it is he going to be ready to to pitch anytime soon. Well, apparently, he's a little although I'll say this is what gay Catholics that he's a little behind. So it doesn't sound like good. You know, because in January you got an issue with it again, the meniscus stop with who was area. He'll be fine. He'll he'll be ready for the start of the season. But I caught it just Huckle tunnel. That's especially baseball players need to everybody needs to risk and to work properly think it'll be it'll be a little he'll be a little bit high. So from that standpoint. Yeah. I don't think you're gonna see him. I'd howard. Let's switch topics real quick to the eagles Antonio Brown. Or are you of the mindset Vigo should be aggressive on Antonio Brown or the wrong fit at this time resource wise put the put the money in the cap elsewhere. I'll give you a short word and put them in capital letters. No. I don't want him number one. Obviously his money wouldn't fit within the eagles. But he's not a team die. Why wouldn't it? It's twenty million dollars. It's not twenty million dollars. It's twelve point six million for twenty nine hundred. But he wants to another contract. He wants you to do deal. Now. I don't know how you could structure it, but he wants a new deal. I just saw forget who it was. I saw somebody the other day who's making twenty a wide receiver making twenty million dollars this year. That's what he wants. He wants all these guys want the money any wasn't happy with Pittsburgh because they wouldn't redo the deal. He's not happy with wouldn't be happy with anyone who goes to leave. You. But I'm worried about guys especially on a football team because you really have to be a team won a football team that are interested more than shells than the team. And he's interested more just same thing with Lebanon bell. He's interested more in himself and his team. I don't want that guy around. Can you got you got the cushy job down there in Clearwater? Enjoy. It soak it up soak it king. Hey, by the way, Joe Joe you and me so I could up beat against Ben Simmons in a thousand. Yeah. I have. The king Howard asking. I could I don't know. I don't think kings probably sixty five percent free throw was like the nicest thing he's ever said about time that I hit eighty percent. He hits two percent are combined. Eighty-two not that you know, math works that way. But if you catch my, hey, so if team on this Antonio Brown thing, if it if this trade occurs after March seventeenth, then the Steelers would have already paid him his roster bonus for this year. And that means that we would own twelve point six million for this season. Think about that. I mean, listen, I know he is a hassle. I I we all are aware, but twelve point six million for Antonio Brown or ten million dollars to Nelson Aguilar. Yeah. Again, just to be clear though. I'm not of the mindset vehicle showed or will pay Nelson Adler ten million. So I know you're you're using that as a as a as a reference point. I don't think that that will actually come to be. He's got feeling I think that is too much eight eight eight seven to nine ninety four nine for I coming up interesting story couple of days ago from the world's sports media that we have not yet gone to we'll hit that and come right on back to the phone calls as well. Bryce Harper rejected 'aggressive offer' from Washington Nationals
"Usually move slowly not as quickly as people want and baseball, but it's been a lot out there. Ready? The Phillies are going to go after Harper and Machado and a whole bunch of big names. Here's the latest on Bryce Harper. So this according to Bob Nightingale of USA today. And then also the Washington Post has a story on this. The national apparently offered Harper deal at the end of September an aggressive offer. It was it was deemed that offering colluded. No opt-outs and was less than four hundred million dollars and the Nightingale from USA today says the offer was thirty million per year about thirty million a year and the from the NATs and now the Phillies giants and cardinals expected to be in the mix. So the national is trying to keep them. I'm not surprised Howard. He wanted. He he wanted to go to free agency. There's no reason from take a deal when you set in season. It's his agent short-sea. Here's here's the problem that exists with this thing and anybody that thought that these signings would happen quickly for the big guys. Never we're we're kind of foolish because the agents who's it, Dan, Lozano, Lasana Machado, Chato, and Scott Boris. They don't wanna be I because they want to see what the other guy gets. So that kind of stalls things and the opening offer by the nationals is just that an opening offer. You gotta have a starting point. And you don't start big right away. Harper. I was told by by people on the nationals in the dugout in the locker room that he really wanted to stay there. He likes. So they started if it's thirty million a year, that's fine. But you don't take you don't take the first offer. You don't you wait till after the season, you you want to become a free agent and see what other teams want to offer you, and then you can go back to Washington because if price say, it's Scott Boris is orchestrating this whole thing. And in the end of Bryce Harper says. Get me as much as you can. But I really would like to go back to Washington. So you wait you see what other teams offer? Scott Boras lies the other teams like he normally does all the time. Like he tried to do with Ariana. And he was really remember. That's was. This last spring training. Really? He was really annoyed that said he said well teams don't really wanna win. That's why we took this last November. When this whole thing started last year, he he build area as a two hundred million dollar ended up getting seventy five right? So now, you have to wait and see what other people, but who's to say that other people are going to off from more than three hundred million or thirty million a year. I don't know. I don't know if they will or not I do think that they want to break the record. My sense is because Boris had the record. But a-rod the first record to fifty fifty two. I think in now Stanton has the record at three twenty five. I think heart breaks the record yet. I'm a team if I'm the Phillies I don't give him an opt out because they all want these opt-outs now. But the problem is it's like everything everything goes up money goes out. So now when they see it's okay now, the salaries are going to go out of you leave you three. It's just a never ending. It's like a gerbil running in the circle. But it just keeps on. But if you don't give the opt-out you might not get him. It's hard. It's a hard. No. You know, what I wouldn't give it to you. Don't get them. You don't get it. Because if in fact, you get to a point you don't have the opt-out he dies all for the plant. He can always leave you if another team because he agent plays this little game. He has players with other teams like Boris talked to the cuts a Kris Bryant contract coming up. And then you kind of slide in you know, he's not worth Bryce Harper money, which is three hundred seventy five billion dollars. But well, get Bryce Harper worth three hundred. So you kinda squeeze that conversation. Even though it's a legal. They all do it. And that's the problem. That's why I don't give them enough that you want to sign here you sign here. And that's the end of two things that over this weekend that have stood out to me Howard. I feel better about the Phillies chances at landing one of these guys

"Manny Machado and Bryce Harper from Horeca steals washing nationals. They're both twenty six you could theoretically give him a ten year contract and think they'll be valuable for most of it. But maybe not now, maybe you don't wanna do that Chato twenty-six Harper twenty-six or Kershaw thirty thirty thirty last spring, and he's got some miles on them. He's got. Innings pitched, I looked through the pictures who've gotten I believe, it was a hundred million dollars or more contracts at the time. They got them. He's got more innings, and and anybody and you're not at your head. You say Kershaw safe? Yeah. I think he stays. I think he provides value be on sort of the on field performance just being dodger for life would be a good thing for the franchise. And you know, it's still matter. They don't worry about it. But I think I think ownership. Yeah. Ops doesn't need to care about. Right. But I think. Actually, the PR side's, please keep her Shaw for PR. Yeah. He's been here for the last ten years, probably postseason, you know, sort of troubles, whatever you wanna call it. He's still been the best pitcher generation. He's to the face of the franchise. He's a guy that fans of going to love, and I think that there's some value there, and you've seen it now where if you have any kind of success as dodger they will love you. And they will put you on the side. They will put you in the ring on her show mind, your bulldog. Hanukkah the records to when he won the World Series. But he steps out there thirty years later throughout the first pitch, a huge elation and look at pool halls. I mean, he could have been sainted for life in Saint Louis, bad pun. That's terrible. But he comes to Anaheim. He was in Saint Louis. Arguably the best player in baseball. He's never been the best player in his team in Anaheim because my trout's been there. What did he call him in Saint Louis what he was known? Lumber right. Yeah. It's out of sight out of mind. Right. Yeah. And the other thing with Kershaw is we thought for two or three or four years that when it got the chance stopped out the logical place for him to go would be home and play for the Texas Rangers. And now, unfortunately for the Texas Rangers in their fans, they're terrible. And they're going to take probably two or three years to rebuild. And you know, I don't know how much longer Clayton Kershaw wants to pitch. But I don't know if he's going to be effective through that range. I don't think he cares as much about a legacy with the dodgers. A certainly the fans do, but he cares. Very much about winning. He doesn't talk much about his priorities. But he always says how gratefully is to be with the dodgers not because of the beaches or not necessarily because of the fans, but because he's got a chance to go to the World Series every year and two years ago. He might have said that with the Rangers. But he's even said he cannot say that today. How do you deal with him? I get along fine with them. Yeah. I mean, you know, he's more accommodating in terms of just Vail ability. Than pretty much. Any other like superstar athlete I've been around? You can talk to him every day of the week if you know his schedule, and if you have a relationship with them now that said, you talked to them in like two minute chunks. He doesn't he's not someone Liquicia. He's not someone who wants to give you half an hour of his time. He's very conscious about his time management, and and be, but he will make himself available as an assess ity, and I you know, credit him for that. Because a lot of guys blow people off a lot of say, no or whatever, and he stops and talks, and and there's a lot of occasions during the year where you need to get him for three minutes, or whatever a player that's grown up in LA shown up with nineteen twenty years ago there we've afterwards we've seen him grow up eve the face of the dodgers, it we don't know much about this guy..
World Series expert picks: Will Red Sox or Dodgers win it all?
"Teams after I saw every one of them playing person Red Sox Astros, Yankees, Indians brewers dodgers and that order. I absolutely think the Boston Red Sox have a better club that the dodgers. And I think they'll win this in six or seven I agree on the six and seven. I don't see us going to sweep like so many people do and part of it is there's not a lot of experience on both sides against you know, the top tier pitching Manny Machado in. Brian dozer have seen Chris sale at ninety seven ninety two and done some damage against them. And the same thing goes with Clayton Kershaw JD Martinez being in the, you know, the front of the order in owning Kershaw relatively in in eleven at bats. Do you sense that the key to the series is the field period? And who could feel out the other team quicker? Well, I think that's part of it. But in a short series in for me in any any series. It's about the pitching in. I am concerned about Chris sale. I'm not as concerned anymore. As much as I was about Kershaw. He's got the Kershaw. Although he's more of a craftsman. Now, you've got three lefties going for the dodgers you got to in the rotation going for the Red Sox. I'll take my chances with the right handed hitting Boston Red Sox against those three lefties. I think that could be a big big advantage when you are looking at a JD Martinez in the middle of the order, Mookie Betts, Bogaerts Nunez, those guys that hit from the right side. I think they're going to do some damage in Fenway. I think it's gonna be a different game in LA. You know, I I worry about them pitching to die like, Cody Bellinger. For example. I think he had to keep the ball up on him. He's an uppercut swinger. You put the ball down. You may never see it again. I think these are pretty quick pitchers at I think the way they pitched the opposition is going. Is going to determine who winces, and that's not a genius comment. Are they it's all about the pitching, no doubt? And I think the way that the the Red Sox has set it up where they have Chris sale going game one David price game two, and then the unknown so ripper Selo and Nathanael have all the will be coming out of the pen in the first game or two depending on what goes on in. Do you sense it they're they're protecting themselves from a a short start from occur sailing game one? Right. I think that's exactly what they're doing. I don't think I would even though they did it all year long. I don't think I would pick up these back to back. I think they are doing it. Look, I think Alex Cora was the manager of the year. He and bo-, you know, bowl mill with the athletics. I don't say anything that guy does. But sale, you know, just coming back from the hospital probably lost a couple pounds said he couldn't afford to lose place at the game of his life. Can he do twice in a row? I think that can that's why I think the Red Sox are a little bit better team at this point of the year much better during the season. But you know, you gotta give credit for the dodgers. They scrapped themselves back into this. They one and I give him credit. I just don't think I think they're going to get get up managed. I think Alex Cora and the Red Sox front office is gonna do the job. A former staffer the Astros and Mariners currently with clubhouse corner dot com is kind enough to join us here. Cambio tonight. Drew harvard. Kevin Franson, we are previewing Dame one of the World Series tomorrow night at Fenway Red Sox dodgers Clayton Kershaw. Chris sale. We've been talking about the pitching birdie. I do want to get more into the offense on both of these teams. We're talking about a dodger team who set their franchise record two hundred and thirty four home runs this year. And then he had the Red Sox knocked around. The Astros was twenty nine runs in five games. Jackie Bradley, jR, driving and nine in the AFC. Yes. So tell me about the offense for both of these teams. And really who do you think has the biggest advantage? But I still think it's the Red Sox the wildcard for me could be mad Kemp he won't be starting at D H. They have to of course, and us mad count in their order in the middle of the order behind Machado and in front of Brian dosier. They're using dosier as well. It's mad Kemp that kind of scares me on the Red Sox. He's the great unknown. He can hit the gaps. He can hit the ball over the played as well rested. He had a terrific first-half tailed off in the second half. He's the guy that when you put put all the chips down now Matt Kemp may pick him up. So he's a guy that scares me in the line. David freezes quietly under the radar. They have some weapons. No question. We all know what Justin Turner can do we've seen. What Chris Taylor can do. This is a very very good club. You've got a pitch to bell. And you're like I said they've got to keep the ball up. The bed is is make them swing at it. Get away from the uppercut swing. Yes. Of course is dangerous. But on the other side of the ball, Mookie Betts. You know, Mookie Betts when I saw him first off in the Arizona fall league. He was playing second base. He was far enough of the best athlete in the air that year. This guy makes things happen. Then he's followed by Benintendi. And granted he's a left-handed hitter. But he can smack the ball, and how do you pitch to JD? So I think these are very well balanced teams. But I think pitching and Fenway is going to be a little bit too much for the dodgers. And I think they're going to lose at Fenway, maybe two games. And then we'll see what happens from there. Yeah. I think it's huge. If you know, especially the the Red Sox hold serve then they can play around a little bit not play around. But having Mookie come in and not really be afraid of like he's going to cost us. Oh, no. Because when he was there this year and even in the past that you could play. Yes. So much range. We all know that. No question about it holiday. Would you like to pick up a Nathan? The scrapping. You know? How would you like to have a number three starter name Nathan Valdez control the ball a hundred miles an hour who the dodgers had at one point. And now he may win a game against you. I mean, there's so many corks to this when you can get a guy like a ball deep during the season as your number three starter. You know, I just love it. I love it for both teams Verney who's your who's the guy you worry about more at the back end. Is it kenley or kimbrel kimbrel against this team? By the way, one for thirty one guys that are on the in the lineup for the dodgers won for thirty one against him. Well, I would never ever say a bad word about kenley Jansen. Is on his game right now. He scares me. But the Red Sox may put these away before its time believe me, and if they can then kenley Jansen if they can't then kenley Jansen is to be reckoned with the guy is still great. I feel sorry for what he's dealing with. And I think he's gritty gutsy, but you know, kimbrough's no slouch either both. These bullpens are really really strong. These are these are two good teams. I don't think they're the best two teams. I think these are two good teams. What's your thoughts on Manny Machado? And just the way he's been pretty demoss postseason. I am old school my friends. It made me sick to my stomach to see what he did it at first base. Tasers secular. It makes me sick to my stomach to see him going into second day slake that and I think the thing that made me the sickest is when you say hustling is not my Cup of tea on a scout, my friends and the first thing that we fill in. There's three things can this guy play is he better than what we have. And number three. Can you play for us? And for me on my form. No he cannot play for us. There are teams that would love to have him though. Run to him. That's fine. You put that guy in the mid west or in some cities, you put them in San Francisco and watching my hustle watch. What happens for me? It's a way over the top. I didn't like it. I don't like it. And I think it's going to hurt him. I I. I think the one team that everyone talked about is the Phillies in him going to I'm calling because out here. He he killed. Yeah. Try this or New York or any other big market that he's projected to go. What do you think is agents said the reaction of his agent when he read those comments, please. You just saw it. You saw him hustle. You saw last game. He played hustling kept his mouth shut. But you know, what damage is done. He is not the type of guy that I think is gonna win you the pennant. I like us a scrapper much more. Yeah. You can knock the fence down. But you know, it's not all about him. You give me a Justin Turner any day of the week. I'll take that Bernie. I think I'm sorry. Go ahead. Why don't you finish your thought? Go ahead. I think in general this dodgers team is a little bit over the over the top for me. I think pointing to your muscles rounding, you know, your home run your home run trots a bit over the top for me. I was just curious on how fast that switch is flipped when you see a guy like minimum Chato acting this way because we see a pro sports, Bernie talent will usually Trump everything else. Yes it well. And that's why I said there are teams that are going to run to them they wanna badly and again for the clubs that I was with with the Houston Astros with the Seattle Mariners. I don't think we would have taken that type of demonstrative behavior. But the game has changed and you either love it or or get out of it and don't pay any attention. I happen to love it. But I don't have to like what I see from some players believe me ninety nine percent of these guys are much different. They're wonderful guys. And all it takes one guy to show off like that. And give other people a bad name. I didn't like it. I guess that clear. Hey, we got you a prediction with the Red Sox in either six or seven but tomorrow night who is your guy is it sale is occurs show. Or is it somebody else? No Kershaw gets game one. I think Kershaw is pitching very well. I worry about sale I worry about about the hospital the stomach. I don't know if he's less weight. I haven't seen him.

"I was so bitter Heard that the Chato was going to the dodgers for. A lot of reasons one was just you were so close when all of the national reporters are, coming, out and saying well we can't say for certain Looks, like deals done, and the Phillies have the. Best offer you gotta say well that's it he's coming here we all felt in a, lot, of people say hey I wanna I, wanna wait and hear other reports but it's just it seems so damn, obvious how can you ignore. All of these reports. Suggesting that Machado is going to be Philadelphia Philly and, for him to be a, dodger it just sucks the fact that Magic Johnson owns the dodgers. Same guy the plucks, LeBron that sucks it's it's just bad you'd think, about the Phillies in their, situation this year adding that high impact bad a superstar player that could have been here for a. Long time and it's very disheartening very disheartening to hear that he became a dodger but I will, say, this there's some good news When it, comes to Manny Machado because, if you missed it What they traded now you might think, five prospects for Manny Machado Wow like he's not going anywhere that's not necessarily the case Manny Machado could very well be a free agent after this year because the prospects, that were offered by the dodgers one was the, number four. Prospect but the rest of the guys at twenty seven. Twenty eight and the other two weren't even in. The top thirty so not as high level prospects as you'd expect and the other thing is there was, a, quote, from their general manager talking about Manny Machado and asked? Basically, hey is he, going, to be sticking around after this season well the GM said quote. We hope he. Plays well and creates a good market for, himself That's a. Big quote from think about this he's the general, manager of the dodgers he just. Traded five prospects and again I, little the value of those prospects a little bit but he's in l.. A. and the story is you traded five prospects to go, and get Manny, Machado and he's, got, the boldness the audacity to. Say the day they're announcing, the. Trade the day after announcing the trade that we hope he gets a nice market for himself that's a big deal that's a very big deal, so if you're still holding onto this belief that, Machado is. Going to be out there and you can bring him. In and he can be affiliate long-term still seems. Like that dream is still alive and I want to believe that but for me at this point I, hear, the, the rumors that he also wants to be a Yankee? And, so I keep, looking, at Mike trout and just say you know Machado if it happens It, doesn't I just, don't care anymore It'd be nice and, the day that he signs the. Mean last week I think I mean those fans are gonna be rabid they're, going, to the place is going to, be sold out It's a, real opportunity, I mean. It would be a. Much worse situation if he's gone someplace else but, he's gonna see us at our very best you. Talk about people wanting to. Come to Philadelphia well he's going to see what it's, like. To play. For Phillies team when the team. Is good, I you know I really want. The guy but man I'm really looking forward to this series I still think he's gonna. Come, here even, if he doesn't sign with, the Phillies, I think he's gonna end up here Homerun may really I mean maybe maybe. I hope you're right I'm not gonna tell you but I I don't know how. You would know any more than me Right Hopeful, yeah. Right maybe he comes to. Citizens Bank park is like that was that was. Awesome it was a. Blast I'm gonna sign. There maybe he's, like, yeah that was that was. Cool they've good, fans and then he walks out of his his huge house on the beach in in wherever in California somewhere, says I like this to this is pretty. Cool the Santa Barbara wherever in LA I, mean I guess we don't. Know he's thinking is starting to become, again talented people want. To. Yeah I, mean I don't know LeBron, going out there Maybe, people start to say I'll go. Play for the dodgers I'll go. Play for the Rams the Rams added a bunch of. Stars, to their team yeah. I'm not buying the he's. Gonna come here anyway maybe Yeah maybe. I, your chances or hurt. That he's not here right. Now But hey it's not over yet might be. A snag into Trey we'll. Talk to Larry. "I just love the all star game i just think it's fun seeing all these players together on the same field the energy in the ballpark is usually pretty good obviously you know watching bryce harper in the derby is going to be a lot of fun i know that's a lot of pressure on him to go out there and try to do it in front of the home fans we've seen a lot of guys kind of flop in front of the home fans of all the pressure on them but i think that'll be a lot of fun at honestly that so many young players in the game i feel like we talk about it every year but every year there are more new young players in the game and those are the guys who you're most excited to see they're most excited to be here so just a couple of days all together and the trade market we guys talk about that with you right okay let's get in the meat the meat on the bone here there's a guy named machado who's out there so i i'm obligated to ask you about manny machado you're obligated give me an answer and then we can move on to other stuff but talk about manny machado where's he going wising betray jet what's happing manny machado i think part of the reason is bin traded yet is a there several teams in the in the market for them at least five that we believe we know of and i think the orioles are just trying to wait as long as they can play them off each other until one of them just overwhelms them with an offer somebody went above and beyond right now with an offer i think they'd be open to trading but you know right now if it's not exactly the deal they want they probably figure well we can get more you know more teams get a little more desperate or maybe every two or three game losing streak maybe this we need this bat so i also just i didn't think they were gonna trade it before the all star game they're only guy here and you know what fifty miles from baltimore i just i thought maybe thought it was going to be on the field that the all star game wearing orioles jersey realistically do you see the yankees and red sox players from chato i mean really players are do you think ultimately it's not going to happen for those teams and probably was never going to happen ultimately i don't think he'll wind up either of them i think the red sox are sort of on the periphery of this whole thing just to annoy the eight probably probably you know maternal is not a very popular fan of popular guy within the red sox fan base remember pitch that yeah and i you know i don't know i red sox fans are not a forgiving bunch in general so that might be tough you know sort of like when the orioles said we would never sign jose bautista difficult fans hate him i don't know how much push the red sox they give their prospects are ready in their other traits kimberlin sale so i don't think the red sox from the yankees are interesting i think they're a legitimate player for him but i don't think brian cashman's willing to give up justice sheffield or mcgill are any of his top guys i think cashman is engaged in this and if the opportunities there to get machado at a reasonable price i think he would jump on it but i think ultimately team like the dodgers might the brewers are going to really jump in and end up overwhelming the yankees offer and i think he probably ends up either milwaukee la philadelphia how much he holding up the trademark i think.

"Yankees ajay winds up with the yankees buster only joining us in both meanwhile what about manny machado where does he wind up going at a baltimore because most people think it's not going to be in baltimore no and it's interesting because as you know in recent years we really over the last twenty years the orioles have had a reputation being very dysfunctional when it comes to trade process other teams get very frustrated with it last year the orioles had folks with other teams pulling their hair out because of the way the bridge and trade talks went down i've heard so many compliments from baseball executives in the last week with a saint man the orioles on top of their game man the orioles are focused the orioles are prepared and they have dug into the farm system of the los angeles dodgers in other teams to prepare for some possible trade conversations now i do think that all things being equal the most motivated team to trade from chato right now would be the arizona diamondbacks they're in a window where they're trying to win the nash league this year and if they don't do it this year with aj pollick patrick corbin headed into free agency this may be one of their last chances to do that for a while so you might see them step up their problem is they don't have as much at the top of their farm system the dodgers are loaded and could make a deal we just don't know how they'll be but i think it's gonna come down to those two national league west teams dodgers and diamondbacks tied in the loss column arizona holds a one game lead because they've played more games dodgers in angels is our game from the big eight that's where we find a buster only our baseball inside our by sherwin williams make.

"Says he just a winter yeah asia's follow him on twitter on twitter terrible follow all right well the yankees play games they won both of them so that's a sweep in my mind so fuck the orioles friday sunny gripe pitched didn't start great chato homerun was not feel that this does not sit well with anybody when you know we've got an immediate home run in the first inning within pitching baltimore hot summer night thought shit we're gonna get ten runs to win this game and you really settled down i wouldn't say necessarily sharpe's his recent good starts where what was it who do you pitch well against kansas city was best one can't shut yeah he was not kansas city sharp but he was walk anyone fifty five strikes to thirty five balls we'll take that one run limited damage four hits didn't have too much trouble overall past the home run no walks is the biggest right for sure i didn't necessarily notice him have that quick pace that usually does that usually helps them out but then again the orioles are terrible baseball team so bad they said a decent offense and that's a hitters park so it's not a total on throw that out it's the orioles game i think prior to listening on saturday was listening to the radio call i was doing some quick i was doing belmont shopping so i was listening to radio for the first couple innings and they had said the orioles he lost i wanna say six in a row heading into yesterday so i was out seven zero but heading into that game they had scored seven runs in those six games so not only can they not field.

"Should be bright and i think it will be but you're right now is the time to get going i mean anthony rizzo hasn't gotten going at all a few other guys in their lineup haven't done a whole lot and that has to change and i fully expected to change but the other dynamic is the brewers are pretty darn good and they've been a lot and they're still what are they are cardinals are better than last year and i don't think pittsburgh's going to play offs but they're better than they were last year this is suddenly a much more formidable division than it was a on april the first machado talk has been like every three seconds in chicago it's hated cubs street from chato yet like people assume this is going to happen feel through call water on the other night said it's fantasy talk at this point in time do you think machado gets moved way before the july deadline that's a great question i'm going to say no because i know how the orioles operate and they are very very stubborn and very methodical about how doing things and they think i believe that they're going to get their best for manny machado when someone is absolutely desperate at the end of july and they might be right about that but the other way to look at it is they could probably get more for him right now if you could get him for an extra two months that's the only logical so the way the tricky front office situation to baltimore right now suggests they're going to wait a little bit longer before they deal him but i would of course like everyone else be stunned if he wasn't moved by life there and i do you believe that there will be high level starting pitching available by july thirty first because there are some that believe the cubs need to add another pitcher i i don't know if i agree i got to see how darvish and tana pitch now consistently with the weather looking like it's turning i'm not convinced they need to go get another starter i might like to see it guy at.

"Minute zoom out and look around the league there are plenty contenders that have trouble scoring on many nights on many nights that's just some nights monday nights for the braves had like six run comeback sunday night i think and in the next couple of games they they scored three or less now they won one of them but they scored three or less i documented the numbers before there are many many teams contending ones involved that have trouble scoring four more runs more often than the cubs do so my issue is really about october maybe that's what sylvia's bringing you wanna be october proof and right now i'm not sure that they are so that's the other side of the coin when they face power when they face max scherzer we're just not sure them but of course we how many team teams can be sure of themselves against max scherzer but you want to do the best you can so look it's like when the when the cubs got darvish instead of arrietta i wasn't for it i liked area to better but you're not going to be against it it's not your money i take you darvish at least on paper at the time i said well the second best available free agent so if someone says here take manny machado i take them now there's a different situation though you're going to have to give up stuff for him that could affect your future so it's a little bit more complicated you know someone tweeted at me i bet they'll they could do it addison russell from chato straight up are you kidding no chance no chance that's happening so i mean of course you want to improve everywhere you can but at what cost in that'll be questioned in july not now the great news for fans is john lester and the way he's pitched i mean he looks like strong bounceback season jess and he hasn't even hit the hundred ending mark yes waste weekly i'm not judging that outing i've just said he looked sharp i'm not judging it at all yeah.
