"You Darrelle Revis never would have been called for that in 2000. 10 through 13, but you know they got him on, Um, ticky tack hold before the interception, And that's a huge game changing play and, uh, the pass interference that Levi Wallace got called on, understand he didn't turn around, and it's a smart play by Chase Claypool to go back and through. Levi Wallace, But like Chase, Claypool, initiate that contact. You know that's a 50 50 call to me. Yeah. You know, I think Mitch Morris might have said it The penalties like you, you You're making the right point here like you're you're dealing with 1st and 20. But you're also not getting the benefit nothing. None of them were huge, although, like a turnover is a huge play, obviously, But like a lot of the penalties were compounded by not only hurting yourself in the yardage, and now you're you know, first and long. But you also didn't get the benefit of that play and again. None of them were like, you know, touchdowns or anything, but you still had a chance to maybe get in a flow, which they never really were able to do yesterday. In the penalties were a big part of that. And each one of them kind of like wiped out, you know, from to varying degrees that devious right place? Probably the biggest one because that's a natural take away that got taken off the board. Um, but yeah, they they They hurt themselves a lot yesterday. Yep, I would imagine that. The film sessions not super fun today, but, uh, for for a lot of those guys and the penalties and the bloc pun all those mistakes. Um are things were if you can nip them in the but now Then you move on and you're a better team because it's just one of those deals where you just would hate to see, um you know, holding calls or whatever they may be, um, show up week after week because that is something that could potentially Derail what most think will be a pretty special season this year. Eric this just to sort of put a wrap on yesterday going into next week. This will be maybe an interesting week inside the bills. With what the expectations are, and I know that some players I know what McDermott how he talks and like, you know, we're not about last year or anything like that. These guys try to keep Their eyes focused straight ahead. But, you know Jeez, like their human right, like everybody knows what the Super Bowl is The goal and what there are odds were approximately and so I mean, that's a big loss, probably in the standings for a team that's aspiring to be to be the one seed. Um, you just gotta you'd say it right? You just got to forget about it and trust yourself, I guess at this point Yeah. You got to move on from it. And, um, you know, and you feel that extra disappointment with how special that atmosphere was yesterday at Highmark Stadium as well. At least I did personally, You know, it was just It was so like when that punk got blocked. Like that was deflating for me. Personally, I'm not even in the locker room anymore. And but just to kind of watch the emotion of the crowd everything else and, you know, understand. At that point, it was going to be a Long road or really tough task for the bills to get back and win that game. But you know, Sean McDermott, you you hit on the head. I mean, he's been saying the right things, but these guys know that they have a really good team. That was an FC opponent that's likely in the playoff picture. And you know those those games hurt, But you got 16 more games this year. Um and you've got plenty of opportunity. Sean McDermott will use this as fuel for the guys. You know, a little bit of humble pie. Whatever it may be, he'll use it. To get these guys even work harder. Do more, whatever. Hell, uh, expect out of them, But, um, yeah, It's definitely not panic mode. That's a good Pittsburgh team bills made enough mistakes that Not give them itself. You know, they have not tried kick chance at the end the try to get the ball back. But you know that's a game where, um, they're obviously went back as far as standings goes, but if you use it To get better from using it to fuel you, then maybe maybe that's similar to the Arizona lost last year. That happened later in the year. That kind of fueled them for a, um Really incredible end of the season. Eric, What did you think before we close the book entirely on on this Pittsburgh game. What did you think of the fourth and one call the pitch back to Brita. Yeah. I mean, it's easy to pick on it right now. Um, you know that's that's a boomer bus play right there. And if the cornerback goes across the formation and at the two on one With Julie, Um, out in front of Singletary than Brian. Dave. All looks like a genius. Maybe it goes for 50 yards, and they take it all the way down. Um, but when I believe it was sudden, when he fired off the edge I mean, just close it up completely. And then you know they you it makes you look stupid for trying it. Um, oftentimes, you know the bills the bills on fourth and one traditionally. And they've all and Josh McDaniels uses all the time with the payer to Chillan up. And if the centers uncovered your QB sneak because Josh Allen can get forward then if there's a bear defense The linebackers walked up the centers covered, Then you'll check out that zone because you should be able to run right off the tackle and get one yard based upon the formation of the defense. I'm not sure if there was some type of I call him Get out of jail free cards like, okay, if they're in this look that we can't run this. Um, I would have thought whenever the quarterback didn't go across the formation, um, with the receiver in motion that maybe you try and check out of it, But it looked like I was wondering, Yeah. Yeah, that because because it to me and look, I've never seen the bills run that play in the game, And so they likely ran into practice. Maybe they felt like you, Liam..

"To have an exclusive interview on our pittsburgh steeler series with the one and only second year man from notre dame. It's chase klay poll chase. How are you today. i'm doing well thank you. How're you doing. Fantastic is so great to talk to you. You had a fantastic rookie year in. Pittsburgh is so great to have you in the steel city and now as an ambassador for the team. Let me ask you this. How is the city of pittsburgh embraced you. And how do you feel about playing. In the steel city stewardess. Fan base has been nothing but good to me. Last year offset get the full experience because kobe. But this year the preseason as able to talk to fans For first preseason home games and they're super receptive super here talks up so far. It's been really fun ride and i'm looking forward for to continue for the next year. What's your favorite thing about pittsburgh. It my favorite thing about pittsburgh is. It's a pretty even though it's like a big city tight clapping is pretty small city. And you know it's easy to get around. You can go to all these different restaurants. You get all these different vibes in a close proximity. that's fantastic. So let's get into it about the offense so big difference this year. You went from randy feet offense to matt canada. What is the big difference. Yes so even though. The offense is similar in the sense that we're trying to use the same words to kinda reduce learning curve We have a lot more tags. Put people in different positions and different motions stuff like that just to disguise. But we're doing last year. We got caught up doing the same thing and it look the same towards the second half the year so i think just disguising are plays and formations is what is based different in big bands. Now in this offense fulltime and you have have developed a great rapport with him last year teams especially towards the end of the season. What does playing with big ben mean to you and in this offense yeah You know he's a veteran. He's been here for a super long time. So i think like i said he just makes everyone around him better. It makes it easier to learn so especially we have new offense in. He makes that learning curve A little bit easier. So i think just having a guy that you could build off of An and takes his knowledge and apply as super important especially for long season. Like now let me ask you this. You talked about getting better. Where do you want want to improve. You had a great rookie season with eleven touchdowns last year receiving and i saw an interview earlier in the summer that you think that you can get fourteen or more. What do you think that you can improve on the most. Yeah figures execution In are doing some things the little things. Well so it's alignment if it's You know what to look for ball just like little nuances and then always working on route. Run it and try to make that as best as possible. Who you closest with on the team. I'm closest with dollar receivers. I would say so anyone that receiver pretty close to. I noticed last year. Especially on. Juju smith schuster birthday in jacksonville. How you all have that bond together and it seems it really seems like you all have that great rapport and there's no number one receiver. It's you as a unit is that. Is that something that comes from juju or does that come from the the coaches or is that just a team concept with just how you all gel together. Yeah thank you Kind of likes that fire. But juju ihram james. They're all high g guys a jockeys locator but he's on game day And he's you know he's a great great Personnel listen to talk to. So i think we all have. Our different styles often fields. We all mesh pretty well. You know a lot of pundits have picked the steelers to take a step back this year. They're not in the steel city. They're not in pittsburgh where pittsburgh believes. So what would you say to those people and is this a team against with a chip on their shoulder. A a team against the world here. Yeah i think a lot of people are countless south before the season but I just think that with the schedule that we have the hardest on the season and in the league based off of whatever that winning percents from last year. That's a big reason. But i think This team surprise a lot of people. you know. There's some some position units that people are counting out that i've seen in practice that done really long practice. I think we're in a surprise people you know. That's my next question. Actually you go against the steelers defense. All the time in practice. Of course. And i heard you mention going up against james p. r. and practice who in that secondary also is going to surprise us this year. Yeah i think I think james is the one i would say It's not really surprised anyone. Bbc's prevent of kinda guy he is and neither is this. I stay in terms of surprising people. I think it'd be javy your rookie starting on offense in week one. What to their additions mean. Yeah so i think Parody proves what he can do And i'm going to speak for the offense guys up personally by parody prove where he can do on my news. Dogs based training camps on cagey is you know. Eastern himself is after after the playoff is super cool. He really wants to finish street. Will and kind of jesmond pancakes as he can. The najji is as also proved reagan. Do in just you know a quarter of a game or a half of game. So i'm really awesome. See them and We'll see we'll see how i game. I think all of all i'm sure they will. Now let me ask you this. You have something cool going on with pepsi. And you have teamed up with him in the steelers of teamed up with them. Can you tell me about this campaign because it looks fantastic. Yes i wanted to partner with Pepsi and there are made for sealers watching campaign. I think especially with the today's on. Kobe of our people have to watch. Virtually so i wanted to team up with dan and pepsi and they're made for serious campaign because You know helps fans prepare. Virtually helps them. Pair pepsi was game. Day food You know they're they have this. Ar program that allows the scams qr codes takes a major steelers watching website. And then they can. It seems as if people are watching the game with me in their living room that can take selfies. May super bowl program. I thought this year especially with people watching at home That'd be a big opportunity for steelers fans and kinda give back to the fan base. That is absolutely cool. I cannot wait. My daughter has chased klay jersey. She's twelve so if i could tell her that she gets to pick a selfie at home with chase claiborne. That's going to be the biggest thing in the seventh grade. Don't either right now. Yeah when i was setting out that will air thing. I thought it was super bowl too. And there's no doubt my mom's gonna probably use it with new washing on the couch stuff. That's really awesome. So there's a sweepstakes involved too. I believe yeah so. They're doing a lot of giveaways and stuff like that. So all that information is can be found on And cool prizes involved with that well. That sounds fantastic. Definitely checkout pepsi. Checkout chase klay poll. I saw the spot. And i tell you what you're gonna see chase clay a completely different way this year when you see the spot. I think it's great. It's great for you chase. Good luck to the steelers this year. I can't wait to see you. Not only as a pro bowl player an all pro and hopefully in the super bowl. My friend awesome. Thanks all right thank you..

Pittsburgh Steelers' Chase Claypool Suffers 'Minor Ankle Sprain' in Practice

"Lot of steelers. Nation was collectively holding their breath at the end of practice today when one wide receiver chased klay pool went down and did not go off the field under his own power. He had to be helped to the locker room. By ben roethlisberger and eric hebron luckily reports and already out that. It's not a high ankle sprain. She stay low ankle sprain. he's going to be out. I feel we're not gonna see him this this week. I don't even know there. Were gonna play him or not. The next week all depends but bottom line is he should not be missing significant time. That's going to affect the regular season. We might know a little bit more tomorrow from coach tomlin but i doubt he really says anything because that's just what he does but the it. It's not anything that looks like it's going to require extensive time

"Because you guys didn't get the job done. Chase Claypool. Stupid comments Ju just Ms Schuster. Unnecessary comments and Sean wait, also unnecessary comments. And has a talk show host. I appreciate it. Thank you guys. Appreciate you giving us some conversation. We could have some reaction. You ever heard the expression Don't poke the bear. Don't poke the bear. You just missed Schuster. Oh, and also my friend Davos, Sweeney. You poked the bear of I'll state 11th in the coachespoll. This is not just the player issue. This is coaching, too. And that's why there is an appreciation. For guys like Nick Saban and and Bill Belichick. Their players get brainwashed. Even the most outspoken players go to New England, Alabama, and they don't say anything. Remember when Quentin Williams Was about to talk a lot of smack on Kyla Murray, and he's about to say Before Alabama went up against Oklahoma that column. Murray's not all that he's not all that special. And right when he was about to be critical, the words were basically at his mouth. He's like he's not all that He throws Has break big brother's saving was watching and he was saying Put it. This is next saving speaking have a chip installed in your brain. Any time you're about to disrespect the opponent. And your brain. You will hear these Noises, huh? I'm next seven. I am inside your brain and I'm telling you, she don't talk any smack about your opponent. Quit in volumes. Throws And I was like, Yeah, I'm good. You remember that trace? How unbelievable was that? From a few years back where he was about to talk crap on Kyla Murray and literally. He had a Hubbard. Hubbard. Hubbard Hubbard, Hubbard Hubbard a moment that was awesome. Listen. Nick knows any coaches guys. Well, that does nothing for positive for you, and all does help your pony even more e. I know A B. It didn't last long. It's not the best example. But even when he went to New England, and he had to go through all the stuff that was self inflicted. He was gonna ask tough questions. I'm just appreciate it. I'm appreciative of the opportunity, I think was the line that he was given channel. Just Cinco who I love channel just like when I favor football players of all time. Entertainer. One of the great players with great entertainers combination of both made the game so much fun. Logistical goes through England. Different shadow Just sync up. No, it'll play great. But he wasn't distracted when they weren't playing well when he wasn't playing well. It's amazing. It's almost as if we talk about the spell that Jackie's Toby has on comic networks will get to later on the program. We talked about the spell that Howie Roseman has on Jeffrey Lori. It's almost his Bella Chicken statement. Get in from the room. They go. You're all getting sleepy. Any time you're going to be critical of the opponent. Basically gonna smack you in the head. It's not even let me hypnotize you. It's just I'm gonna smack in the head because you know Bella check when a player says something that he's not supposed to say. I'll check gets up in front of the room. I'm goes. Oh, yeah. You need to say this to the media. You know, when you talk about this And all these programs they have media coaches now. They tell you how to deal with situations that we talk about All every team has a public relations person. Now they have people that go in and tell you how to deal with the media. And their expectations there. Sean, wait, must've been sleeping during that little situation. Davos, Sweeney. Must've been sleeping, one that was given out of Clemson. You just missed. Shuster was probably pick talking, which I don't care if you take talks. I've defended you to you for that. But he's probably take talking about Mike Tomlin was telling him Don't give anything to the media. It's amazing how often that does happen. When their comments that could be avoided, But sometimes players and coaches just can't help themselves. All right. Congratulations to Alabama. I want to get to Three things. Two of them have to do with Alabama off the Alabama win. And the result of that game. The other has nothing to do with Alabama. I don't think it has anything to do with Alabama. Let me start with the two football points and I'll get to another football point. But it's independent of national championship game. I was thinking about this last night. Next seven wins his seventh title. Nick Saban has the most Championships and the history of college football for coach. What if Nick Saban when he was in Miami. He was the coach of the Miami Dolphins for two seasons before leaving and bolting and going to Alabama. We're now He's won six titles at Alabama seven total in his career. The one L S U What if Nick Saban sign Drew Brees? What if Drew Brees did not flunk? Or they didn't flunk or fail Drew Brees on his physical? What would happen? And the football world in the sports landscape. I think it's one of the greatest. What if questions of all time? Just think about how many people it effects. And you tell me if I'm missing trace Some point where it could potentially affect Look at the axes. Tom Brady direct competition with Drew Brees, another Hall of Fame quarterback. Who knows that Brady maybe has a ringer to less. Alabama. Maybe Nick.

Steelers vs. Browns - Game Recap

"The cleveland browns. Two thousand two. The last time this franchise was in the playoffs but they beat the steelers yesterday's and they get in and dan. They started out running the football with nick. Chubb that power. Run game with nick chubb. You see that offensive line. Kind of changing. Denting the line of scrimmage and then chubs depth pig playmaking physical and not between the tackles but also got big enough speed and baker. Getting don is looking for tight. End up ten nine on first and goal in the third quarter this afternoon. Yeah the fact that they went back to this he missed it in the same play gets his is. Backside finds often prefer touchdown. No ben in this game mason rudolph way had some good moments. And then he had this one really good blitz packet by the browns defensive drop myles garrett into and then that safety to sit there like all right. Don't leave the ball mason. Rudolph shoots turner for this defense. Need mental switched sides on the field because it went to the fourth quarter and then it went to jarvis landry and the browns were up twenty four to nine not love this play. Call you kind of get. Landry sideline to sideline and you handed off for the touchdown. And then finally you get the ball out of pittsburgh's defense something that chase claypool done. So well look at his ability. Go up kind of contest for that. Catch over jumped. The fence and back touchdown pitchford. That made it twenty four sixteen and then under two minutes to go in the game and this is juju smith schuster and all of a sudden. It's twenty four twenty two dan. How about the two point conversion you gotta make sure at some point. This guy's got the opportunity to go high point of all scrambled around. Give them a chance to go get his hands on that. Football fewer still had chances stephen. Carlson somehow manages to come up with this on side kick. he's eighty nine cleveland. There for a moment there was kind of between the wickets. If you know what i mean. But he manages to hang onto it. And then dan baker mayfield runs with the first down the isis. The player not love the play call by defense came look at the emotion from baker mayfield. You don't kind of representing that city. Just look how much it means to him to finally get that done in cleveland. Good for him good for them. The browns are in the playoffs. The afc wild card round will kick off saturday.

"What's next. I'm up the colts slack. Second half horsepower. It's the snap steps up throws down the field. There's a man trying to run under an edge. It is mike helton over the field shoulder. interception inside the fifteen yard line. Yeah that one. That wouldn't agree before seen before but at that point the colts Felt like things were slipping away from the the steelers going this run in the second half after the magical halftime speech that makes over going to tell us about monkeys county and then rothlisburger somehow they they were able to summon a their inner offensive ike explosiveness in the ball down the field rothlisberger tutor forty four yards in one hundred thirty six past the ready in the second half most passing yards. We've seen from him on The colts for their part converted a singular third down in the entire second half and They really got away from what they were doing. Well in the first half of all. Jonathan taylor defensively. They couldn't hang with the explosive play. Whether it's ju- and diontae. Johnson were carving them up chase claypool had along catch in the second half that set up a scoring opportunity so it was good for the steelers to get that kind of production. Stop the three game. Slide clinch the afc north. It'll feel good going into week. Seventeen where you can get away with rusting your players if you want to because i to to to to see three seed. I don't know that much of it. It's gonna matter for you and then The thing that will not come out of the playoffs. Though is the fact that they are the worst rushing football team in the national football league which it still sounds crazy to me to think about but That's where they're at and that's why. I think it's still going to be a little bit of a fool's gold for this This twelve wind steelers team at the end of the postseason There's a lot of foods go when it comes to the pittsburgh steelers The fact that they can get into on third and fourth in one running the football is a problem now. They were able to look somehow find the ball. Throw the ball down to feel and get some plays diontae johnson chase claypool but to me the biggest form it is just the way to completely fell apart and went away from what was going well. They were physically beaten up the pittsburgh steelers and decided to start throwing the ball and it didn't make any sense. It really didn't make any sense when you watch. It's a good point. I would say that the only thing that was somewhat encouraging because the first half. I'm watching that going. I think ben might be done the way he's throwing the football just not seeing it and then the second half rep mentioned the numbers but there's this one play and we'll show this on the aftermath today but he hit claypool on a skinny postal banging up in that ball as you can. I requires some pace. Then you gotta put that on them and the fact that he was able to to summon that energy to be able to get that ball there in a nice firm flat ball and one thing..

"Which of the players that are currently in your starting lineup. Would you like to replace? Okay? I can't replace Zika as much as I would like to, uh, e. I just I drafted the guy in the first freaking around. How do you You just can't bench a guy like that. All right. I don't trust the odd day Johnson any longer and I don't think Mike Tomlin does either. And I have both him and Chase Claypool taking up my flex spots as they take on the Cincinnati Bengals doesn't seem to make much sense to me. So I'm open to replacing one, if not both of them Also open even though Ryan Tannehill goes up against the porous Detroit Lions defense. I'm open to plugging in Baker Mayfield, who does go up against the tough Giants. I leave Canada Hill. It's this will blow some people's mind that don't understand the fantasy world. Tannehill's been a better fantasy quarterback than Tom Brady. And some would say, How is that possible? He's Ryan can't help, but And the Titans first and foremost feed Derrick Henry. As they did last week to the tune of what 200 yards in a couple of touchdowns. But Tannehill makes throws a J. Brown makes big plays for him. Um, and so Tannehill has been very functional. He's a QB one. If it was Mayfield against the Giants pass. Defense is good. I don't overdo it on matchups. But that's one of those where, yeah, I'd shy away from making that drastic of a move. I'm with you on to Steelers who went from who went from what 11 and 02 now 11 in two seemingly overnight and not looking particularly good doing it their last six quarters. Football. I think Johnson has more value than Claypool. Johnson just seems to get in the ends up even though he drops balls at the same rate. Eric Ebron on the same team drops Ben Ross. Other passage. Um, Claypool, there's an interesting term and fancy football. I didn't invent it called touchdown regression. And what it basically means is when you have a player that gets a bunch of touchdowns and you're just loving it over a span of a month or two. Ah, he always scores, especially if it's AH pass catcher, wide receiver tight end The chances are Those touchdowns will regress that he cannot keep that up. On and it's really happened with Chase Claypool, a rookie who put 10 on the board. I think in his first eight or nine games and correct me if I'm wrong, hasn't hit paydirt. Not with cater in about a month. So Yeah, I would agree with putting Claypool down, but keeping Johnson in there because Johnson seems more likely to score these days. Then clay pulled up. So then throw a name out that you would plug in your second flecks from the ones you mentioned on your bench. It would be most hurt if he was healthy, But based on what I just saw Reports out of San Francisco. Chances are he won't be so. I just saw the McCaffrey is ruled out for yet another week, But I've got a temper that with the expectations of Mike Davis has been underperforming like crazy until last week on, they do go up against Green Bay's defense. You know, I know you don't do match ups for the most part, but that's a pretty good match up. I would look at plugging a Mike Davis in there or a Hollywood Brown, who was absent until late in last night's game. Ah, open the Tyler Boy Open to Mike Williams. But not really on then I'm combing the waiver wire as everyone is doing this time of year. I'd say Davis. For the volume alone. All right. I'm a big volume guy. I think I've made reference to you if if not many times on my fantasy football podcast. Equate sometimes fantasy football decisions on the scene and Moneyball where Brad Pitt is Billy Beane is sitting with all the old curmudgeons who don't understand. How Billy is going to rebuild the Oakland A's without Giambi and Isringhausen and Damon and he has hired Peter Brand, which was the Hollywood name gave in to put given to Paul DePodesta. Help him learn how to do this, and every time Billy brought up a player that all the old guys said they didn't like. Like David Justice, he pointed Peter Brand and Peter Brandt said he gets on base. I like to equate that scene to fantasy football where I would say to you drew all right, Mike Davis his name on the magnet, throw it on the board over the other guys on your bench, you'll say why and I'll say Yeah. Because he touches the ball more. Solid before I let you go and thank God my savior himself, John sending has just walked into my studio. Do I stand a chance against this Robust lineup of Michael of arrows being Mahomes, Metcalf, Jefferson girlie. Dalvin Cook, Cole Beasley, Robbie Anderson and the Baltimore defense. Do I have a prayer's chance of advancing to the finals against Ben Swig if he wins his matchup? Appropriate for your content. Today you introduce prayer into your line about your fantasy semi final. His lineup is very formidable. I think Dalvin Cook has gotten many. Owners to the semi finals, the fantasy playoffs this year as a high volume high producing Running back even in a losing effort last week against the Bucks and early touchdown, plenty yardage. Plenty of touches. Um, but, yeah, Olive arrows lineup is better than yours, however. Um Yes, you have a chance, Drew and I don't know if I joked about this with you or Oliveiro. I believe this Titanic matchup of Dorado versus Olivero. In the fantasy semi finals is the game we will have. On Sunday night on NBC that flexed out America's team, with Jerry Jones still standing by the Cowboys of the biggest draw on television period, I think Olivero versus Carabobo, not Brown's Giants bumped the Cowboys out of the Sunday night spot. Thank you, as always, for your time and insight. Check out Todd's podcast.

Can the Pittsburgh Steelers Go Undefeated?

"Are see. We are forced to listen to quarterback so often in the world of nfl analysis. So i just wanna thank you for helping lead. The db revolution espn daily. Why does this happen. You guys finally invited me or it's your time man your old team. The steelers are right now. Undefeated and that is surprising. Let's be honest to a lot of people. So how surprising is it though to you. I think it's it's. It's more surprising when you actually watch the games It's obviously surprising. Anytime team goes through more than half of the season and their undefeated. But when you watch the steelers play the second half against tennessee titans even watching them to send the backup quarterback gets the denver broncos or be dominated upfront defensively the way they were against the baltimore ravens but still be undefeated. I think that's the fascinating part is not just that they've managed to win. Every game is just inside of those games. you seen opportunities for them to lose. But they've made the place that they've to. I mean you can even look at a match up against the dallas cowboys and say you know gary gilbert and the dallas cowboys may have deserve to win that game. But that's what this lied about was going to come down to one possession games. He's gonna come our critical situation though football moments and at least it does far. The steelers have found answers to any questions in those important moments. And this is why you sit undefeated. So how does this defense stack up. Ryan versus the steeler defense. Is that you played for that. You helped lead. What are the holes in this defense. You know what. I don't think they necessarily have holes in the sense of of those things being a negative right. He's looking to make a rush. The passer with just for the obviously can bring bring pressure make fitzpatrick ultimate playmaker on the back end and i think they have really good corners. But they don't have that great court but when you all those things together i think you get one of the top defense in the league especially when it comes to pressure and turning the ball over we. That's what football is right. Like people aren't going to hold you. Thirteen points like we did wait. Like that's not the ball we play it. You can't intimidate people like i would get fined and kicked out of every game. Five play james harrison fell six million dollars a year. You can't do those things anymore. But if you could get the ball which the pittsburgh steelers do know that really helps and that's why this team world season. Well i wanna get into the difference between playing football then versus now especially because offense is king these days as you implied right there so the defense is the big reason. The steelers are undefeated. The offense though i mean they've been relatively relatively average so can eighteen built around defense. Like the steelers are ryan. Can that sort of team win in the modern nfl. I believe they can. I believe they can. Because if you look at the individual weapons offensively like they are extremely. good I think you you're missing that one running back piece but we look at pool. Smith schuster the johnson. Eric ebron like that's a skill set or skill position that a lot of teams would love to have especially teams not named became the city chiefs. And so if you can do all those things on the outside like they can. You can score points. Also look at this team at critical moments though. Think about tennessee. Titans having to get a drive late in the game even though been was a reception late like they were able to the ball greg band. There's gonna prevail on the road. The pittsburgh steelers had the hold on dearly man. Hold on they do for the baltimore. Ravens they score in the second half and they were able to do that then back pop. For the end zone touchdown pittsburgh and all the out cut to the chase. Claypool man play. It just seems that all the critical point of the season it's offense has been able to produce down to like. I said the dallas cowboy game last week obviously exploiting a very bad bengals defense and well in a team like the cat city chiefs right and i say okay. One had the baby stopped him have to limit big play. The pittsburgh steelers can do that with rush. Plays on the back end right. Play play man when they need to stop the big click now. Let's go offensively the only time we've ever seen patrick mahomes lose. He was in the playoffs. He was standing across from another super bowl. Winning quarterback that was tom brady and rothlisburger. Isn't tom brady but he can do. Some of those things in important moments. And we've seen of do those. And so i think this team can most certainly went into as you mentioned chase claypool his nickname if catching on with you but maple tron. He comes from canada. He's this guy. I didn't know anything about. I wonder if you did because he has seven touchdowns in his first nine games as a pro. What has he brought to this offense. I mean you look at what this league is turning into. Because of the lack of physicality it's a it's a size speed league right like it's starting to they used to be. It didn't matter what happened in the shorts olympics at the combine like if a fast it didn't necessarily mean it was going to translate do can do certain things there did me but it's starting to mean that at the wide receiver position because of the rules. Like if you could flat out run you're gonna probably get open because they can't hold you. You pass five yards. They can't hit you across the middle play putin critic who has great hands he tracks the ball. Well he has a big body and so when you have all those things just translate we've seen chase claypool. You know kind of come out of nowhere. They just kinda have a knack for finding people that sit what they want to do and utilizing them in a way. That truly helps the team chase. Claypool is just another example of that

"I thought Chase Claypool, the rookie wide receiver for the Steelers, do something pretty neat. So a family and you know how dimensions touch my family with it Ultimate taking my grandfather's life into battle 78 years of just pure how with dementia. Well, a family put a video out. Of someone's dad or his grandfather That was going through dementia, and he's the biggest delis fan, and he started to forget all the player's name because that's what happens when you have dementia just is a terrible, terrible. Disease and just ruins very proud and great people and robs them of their last years of their life. And This, You know, I guess it's a son or grandson. Put this video out. Could we get some sailor's quite sent some jerseys? So everyone so my grandfather or Dad knows who the guys are on the team chase playful saw it. Didn't you know didn't want any fanfare. I don't think he just sent this video. We tried to get Chase Claypool on, he said he just doesn't want to do interviews about it. Because, you know, I guess he doesn't want people think he's just doing this for the attention. He had a great heart, great emotions and great intentions here. So chase Claypool sent the guy jersey and you saw this video go viral, I think was released by the family. That was something really need, and you have a lot on your plate Rookie year you an undefeated team to make someone else smile means a lot and is someone that's family that has gone through dementia. And see how it could just tear down a family and make a family feel lost in and hopeless seeing something like that makes people smile in a tough times. So if you want to get the stock up Chase Claypool when we get to the negatives, let's hear from Rob Manfred last night. Let me start.

"The home buying process with alone that fits your life, Remember that rocket mortgage can. So I think this is one of those opinion shaping weekends in the NFL. Pittsburgh at Tennessee Carolina at New Orleans Dallas at Washington Tampa Bay at Las Vegas, San Francisco at New England. Seattle at at Arizona. There are six I think big time matchups this week in the NFL. That will go a long way in sort of shaping how we feel about each of those teams. So we're going to hop around the country today and take a look at all these games a little bit more closely. Let's head to Nashville right now be joined by a good friend of mine. His name is Jordan to John. He covers the NFL for CV Sports. George has got my man Terry, I'm doing well, Thank you so much for having me on. No. I appreciate you coming on today. Let's start here. What's your initial thoughts on this Steelers and Tennessee game? That's funny because this is one of the very few times in my career where I feel like my heart is genuinely in this game. I really as a fan. I want the Titans to win this match up. But of course, the brain is a lot smarter than the heart. I think the Steelers have a better team. They're better on both sides of the ball entering this matchup, so I think that the Steelers are going to win this game. Especially when you consider that Taylor Lewan, the Titans star left tackle, just tore his A C L. Obviously, the Steelers are very formidable front seven big defense in general, So I think that's going to wreak some havoc on the fight. Both that they get behind only knows how much Derek Henry can kind of wreak havoc just on the game plan itself. So I'm leaning towards Stuart right now, but we would love to see the time to get away. It's funny because this might be the first time that you and I are on same sides actually think Tennessee is going to win this game. Let's start with Pittsburgh. Then since you're picking him to win, I look at their schedule and I just don't see any Goodwin. Yet. They beat the Giants, the Broncos, Houston, Philadelphia and Cleveland, where I look at Tennessee. They got tested last week against Buffalo when they passed that test with flying colors. I just have serious questions about Pittsburgh. That makes me lean towards the Titans in this game. Yeah, I agree. I mean, I think that you could say that about both teams. To be honest with you. I mean, the Titan has caught a clutch fact there was I think they step up when it when it matters most. I mean, they won their first three games by a combined. What? Six points. I think they blew out the bills. Which is your awesome when I think that was more about coming out and prove it to the NFL that you know they have the attitude of like dead versus the world because the whole code without breaking everything. I don't think that they should have even gotten tested against the Texans. I think that's a secondary with exposed doing that. And when you watch the film on the Steelers, Ben Walker's Burger has a lot of wide receivers and tight and just receivers in the receiving game in general work with Chase Claypool and huge James Washington, his new target Eric Abroad, That's what scares me hasn't tightened, faint entering this matchup is that the secondary definitely has that potential to be exposed. So That's what I'm looking forward to watching. On Sunday is Halcon. Tennessee's defense. Step up Falcon at secondary more specifically stepped up to stop this passing attack of the Pittsburgh Steelers. I don't know how they continue to do it, but Pittsburgh always can develop a wide receiver, whether it's Antonio Brown or juice Michu store Now Chase Claypool like you want to talk about. Sometimes it's about situation and where you get drafted and the coaching that surround you. Pittsburgh just always seems to develop these kind of wider. They have another one in shades. Claypool has been fantastic so far this year. Yeah, it really seems like it doesn't And you bring up Chase paper, which is funny because this is a kid in college, like who probably reaches full potential. But he had all the makings of a star wide receiver dish in terms of skill set in his body. So when he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, that's when everybody said All down like he went to the perfect place in terms of the coaching staff that could development and we've seen and be dangerous not only as a receiver but also in the Russian game, especially in the red Zone. J scrapers legitimate weapon for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense. You know, it's going to elongate Denver office burgers career to have all these weapons will guide him. Right now. I'm talking to my guy Jordan to Johnny with CBS Sports radio. He lives in Nashville. Let's stay with Pittsburgh here before we really move on to talk about the Titans. Do you consider Pittsburgh to be in that Kansas City Baltimore tear as a legit Super Bowl contender? I'm waiting for you. What happened on Sunday? To be honest with you? I mean, I've been thinking about that question myself. But I want to see what happens if they could take down the Titans by phone. Or so then, Yes. I think I'm gonna put them in that category because they do have a top Leavey center in the NFL. That offense has a sonic weapons even if they haven't always been on the same page, all through the early stages in 2020 seasons. If they beat Tennessee Titans, then I think that I'll have him on the borderline of that of that. That level of play, I guess what you will Let's move on to the Tennessee Titans. I really struggle with belief. And Ryan Tannehill like the numbers were there. I don't know if you've seen the stat, but over the last 18 games, he has his many touchdown passes. Patrick Mahomes and as many rushing touchdowns asthma, Holmes, but I don't think anyone considers him to be on that level. What do outsiders sort of do with Ryan Tannehill on the numbers? Where I'm not sure if if a team can eliminate their Henry, I'm not sure of Ryan Tannehill is capable of going out and winning a game against a quality opponent on his own. It's a fascinating conversation because I mean, it's kind of a polarizing the same way. Some people remember Ryan's general for the Miami dolphin that couldn't get the job done. And and some people see a magic flower blossom with the Tennessee Titans and like you, he pointed out some of this The staties put up over the past couple. We're past year and a half. I guess you could say all among the best in the NFL. If you're comparing the Patrick Mahomes. We've seen that before it could you because I don't think he's obviously on the same level of Patrick Mom's, but I do think he's a legitimate starter in the NFL. You know, he's a guy who likes to take chances downfield. He's accurate. He's a leader, which is why I like him. And you know, I sat down with him actually earlier this weekend was kind of asking them just about out of last week for the last year has gone for him just personally. And you know he's out there preparing like his job on the line, even though he doesn't have any competition behind him. Every week. And I think his mentality has played a big part of success. As of late. So when you when it comes to Ryan panel being able to shoulder the load of the Titans, Titans get behind early. I think he has that potential for sure. We've seen it. I mean, the times were down double digits in a second after the Minnesota Vikings. Really others here. They've been down double digits in other games last year where they're gonna come back. 19 0 has put up some good numbers before. I mean, I'm sure you saw with the Chiefs going awry in 10 in the playoffs. To the passing game wasn't exactly the gameplay. But Ryan's channel definitely has potential. So if the Titans get behind early and right hander kind of bring them back on Sunday. Yeah, that'll definitely asking a narrative that right Daniel's a lot better than people think. Can you help me understand Jordan?.

"I understand baker has got some immature qualities with his personality that drives me nuts as well. Regardless Baker's very talented and he's getting better now. I still see a couple of problems with Baker Mayfield number one. Is and this is like part A and Part B. I guess Baker needs to learn how to use touch and there's two ways he needs to do that part A is that not everything needs to be a perfect basketball, you know, there are times where he he's gotta take some off-the-ball. I mean, especially when he's throwing to Odell Beckham jr. It's okay. He had a ball a fade to Odell Beckham Junior on the left side against the Colts. And for whatever reason the ball is like on a line he is like forcing himself to throw a perfect ball as I get why throw the ball up in the air throw a 50/50 ball. You got Odell Beckham jr. Allowed the guy to be a stud and steal the ball from the defender. I don't know why multiple times and watching Baker Mayfield throw to Odell Beckham jr. Going to stop trying to be perfect. Let o b j b o b b give him a chance put the ball in the air. Let him beat a Defender man-to-man then it's really frustrating at the best way to put it like you don't need to be perfect. You have Odell Beckham jr. It's killing me and then there's also moments where Baker is gotta learn how to layer the ball up and over a Defender. We're get a pic and I know this maybe look like Baker couldn't see the defender office has moments where Baker is throwing the ball over the middle and just driving it online instead of putting it up and over a Defender and it's really hurting him. It's frustrating to watch and I just found a cure learn how to use touch a little bit better. Now the other problem with Baker is that and I hope that this problem has gone by the end of the year, but the more Baker Mayfield throws the football, I guess the more times he throws the football during a game the less confident I get in his team. I mean literally the more passing attempts he has It feels like the more it's true. He's likely he's prone to interceptions when he throws the ball a lot. And it seems like the dude cannot go a game without.

"I don't know what else to say. It's like dude. I I know Eagles fans are there are historically a very tough group of people and good and bad ways. Like right. They're they're very tough. They love either loyal but also if you're not good they're going to call you on it and cars in a snob. Good and Eagles fans have total, you know reason to be calling him out going dude. You gotta be better cuz Carson it's disappointing a bad. He's now the other player that stands out to me from this game. Was Steelers rookie receiver Chase Cape Claypool Chase claims? What's-his-name want to get it right last year if you remember Terry McLaurin was this third round draft pick a receiver Washington, he broke onto the scene and was a surprise he was phenomenal. This year it feels like that kind of guy could be Chase Claypool and on Sunday. It felt like he had his Breakout game where you know, he had seven catches a hundred and ten yards receiving three receiving touchdowns a rushing touchdown. Four. Total touchdowns could have had five actually where I thought he got robbed one of his touchdowns got called back where a Defender just fell over dead and that's not he slipped and fell over and they called offensive pass interference on Chase Claypool. There was no contact there was a tacky bad call in my opinion. I went the guy just fell over that's not Shake people's fault at all. So I don't know and the Eagles also late in the game made a mistake of trying to have it linebacker guard Claypool. That's just a clay do an easy touchdown over the middle. I love that the Steelers use them in the running game. I really like Chase Claypool. I think he might be a really good surprise rookie receiver. is doing really good stuff and what I'm curious about is Can you can you keep it going as a year goes on Kenny continue to keep making a big impact the way he did in week 5 I'm not saying the dude has to have four touchdowns every week. But can you have seven catches 898 yards a touchdown here and there I love a man. He was a second round pick in the NFL draft. He played like a top ten pick on Sunday Chase Claypool. That's a name. We gotta look out for a pay attention to him. He played phenomenal against.

I'm hard down the coal commit stuff here a lot. Not that I think Cole commits a bust or anything like that. I'm wondering why the hell Cole commits not involved at all with this offense. And I hope it starts to change. They keep saying things like, Well, yeah, We're a little disappointed. We know we've got to get. It's not his fault. We got to get him involved. You're the play caller. You're the head Stop saying it get him involved was on the field for like 30% of the snaps again. Period. His teammate. Chase Claypool, who was drafted what 67 spots after Call command. Was targeted 11 times Now, you know, like I get it some things Sometimes that happens, Judges a bit banged up the ante Johnson's been banged up so You know, like in the Ford. Everyone's in the flow of the game. He was the guy that the Eagles couldn't handle. And big Ben just kept going at him going at him going out. But chase Claypool has been targeted 20 times this year, guys Welcome. It's been targeted three times. I'm not joking, like coal comment. Has Three targets. But people has 20 in Pittsburgh. Special teams blocking if you've noticed any of that yet. I don't pay close enough attention on special. You know why? Because we're not here to wonder what they hell he's doing on special teams. He needs to be starting. He needs to work his way into the lineup. Now, Jimmy Graham has been wonderfully productive in the Red Army, and then that's great, but he can't get open that much, either. Everything is contested with Jimmy Graham well and because of his size in his frame. That's why he's productive. Absolutely, like Cole commits. Like at this stage of his career. Graham is a guy just boxes out in the red Zone. That's what it does. Well, nothing wrong with nothing wrong with it at all. It's valuable for the Bear's point, Carm, he was on the field for 21 snaps. That was 33% of snaps the last game of the steps. For the fifth consecutive game. Dimitrius Harris has out snapped Cole commit forget Jimmy Graham because they can both be on the field at the same time, depending on the formations, right, But Dimitrius Harris is out snapping Cold command. Why? I don't know. Let's figure out which personal grouping hands upon the field with, you know, Is there a special package that he ends up on the field with you know something about what Corduroy Patterson is in the back field or something? And all of a sudden that's that. You know when they go 12 go blue bombers, blue bombers, and it's that group of guys that goes in for the it sounds like with Mellors say when If they are going 12. It sounds like it's Maur, Jimmy Graham and Dimitris Harris. That's exactly what he's saying. Which is what I'm just trying, But it's not as simple to Mia's just three wide eyed and or two tight ends. That is simple. What I'm talking about is a grouping within a group. I'm saying I know what you mean. Package right, Queens, Freshest rewinds. One side and one back. Joker packet. Exactly. Joker Jack. Package all them kings. My point is that Within that group. There might be a special group that they throw out there for specific place. Track it a little try to track it this week. Three targets on their Jimmy. Excuse me, Cole commit has one catch for 12 yards. It was their topic. Not good enough. One catch 12 yards, cabins in Canary Ville, And I'm not blaming Cole. Connect anyone think I know That's not what this is about, right? I'm not blaming cold. You want to see more of a heaven's in Canary Ville? What's up? Hey, guys, So I've often heard met Magne referred to as an offensive play calling genius Pinky have the job for exactly half of season five wins in five weeks. I think you called. I think he called plays for five minutes. Maybe it was half the season. I want to say it was like, somewhere between maybe five and seven weeks. Kevin, you're right. Right. So you guys talked about you know how the defenses around the league has caught up with him, especially last year. So at what point He relinquished to play calling duties and is there somebody on that step that is capable of doing it? So obviously he's a great head coach, but I don't think he's much of a play caller. Thank you, Kevin, right. They just did that New York Adam Jace said. Hey, I'm thinking about giving up my play calling duties to my guys. They all got together in the meeting room, and the crazy eyed Adam Gaze looked at a mall and said, I still think I'm the one Don't you all agree with me? Yes, we agree with you. And now the mantra out of New York is well, It's not the play calling. It's the execution. They should have known. Something was wrong. The minute they held that press conference, and he's like, what are you talking about? I think the point is, it's the same thing here. I'll consider giving up my play calling duties around now, I think I'm still the best brought him here because that's what he's done like not Mike McCarthy. You know, 10 years in with the Super Bowl skin on the wall, saying, I've got to focus more on the little things as the head coach of this team, Sean Payton calls place because that's what Sean Payton And his guy Ricky Carmichael, Junior Pete Coming Carmichael Junior P. Carmichael. Junior's not calling place Now I do, but he's not. There are some examples of like what Kevin was talking about. Maybe Naggy is better suited someday as like a Mike Tomlin, head coach, as if Mike doesn't call plays. Mike Thomas. Great head coach. Tom knows how to do everything else. All defence and I don't think he ever has not as a head coach Butler? Yes, is their defense courted and Dick LeBeau was for a long time. Mike Tomlin's great cause. He knows how to be a head coach. Jim Harbaugh eyes. I'm sorry, John. John Harbaugh is great. Now he was a special teams coordinator to I don't want to disrespect that had to mean that at all, but He doesn't have to call plays because he knows how to be a great head coach and how to run the organization. Maybe that is Matt Nagy someday because they do seem to play format like Nat. Matt seems to be able to rally guys around him and around the idea of the team, and this is what we need. Maybe he can be like Tom under Harbaugh. Somebody I don't really know. But you didn't bring him here for that. You brought him here? Because you thought he was gonna fix your offense Finally. And you entrusted a quarterback in him. That's not a matte. Mitch was the wrong pick, period and the story But now it's time for Matt to get it going Now you've got the quarterback you want. You've got some of the weapons you want. You drafted call commit with the early second round pick so now get it going for crying out loud. We'll take a quick break here and then when we come back more your bear's called Sit tight. We got plenty of time. We're guest free for another 35 minutes. Then we got Todd Furman live in Vegas. Your co's keys were coming up with more to talk about with bears and Panthers. I have some other defensive numbers that I want to talk about their good. Have we raised the bar too high? Are.

"When you get to this age in life, and for all you have to find ways to win the game, mentally as well, That's why I'm trying to do. Very humble. Ben looks good on there you go. All right, was big Ben's injury last season, perhaps actually, a blessing in the skies for me? Yeah. I mean, in some ways, it gives you perspective. Beatty and It makes you stop thinking about you know your ego And you know how? How great you khun B. Instead, it makes you realize that you really love doing this today. And you know, it doesn't matter how it looks, but winning feels so good. On DH, So it's interesting because one of the stories that came out of last weekend's victory Was big been connecting with Chase Claypool for three touchdowns and ultimately, Chase had four and he was talking about how I was a little bit worried about this was on his local hit. He does every week like I was a little worried about juju. Because because because Chase had such a big day today, and he looked over it. Huges locker and you Jews have funny was laughing. He would smile, and he's like it's this team just feels different than it has in past years. Okay? I mean, there's two aspects here. There's the regeneration of his arm. And and not just the elbow that was repaired, but also the shoulder. I mean, how many bullets is he's fired around the field. Go back to high school, Miami of Ohio over the years played the NFL. He throw the ball a lot, so that's the obvious part. But also you hit on something really important when you are on the brink of possibly losing something that you really truly cherish it something clicks, and there's a recalibration and acknowledgement that Maybe I need to be a little different and process things a little different, and it seems like those aren't just let me say this because it sounds good. Those are very believable words. He's beginning to put the team in front of self. And the team will benefit and as a result, he will benefit So Yeah, I do believe it's helped him out of the question. And it's college football. The eighth raided their cats, Cincinnati bear cats, a Wraith realize they were that high. You know they were set to take on Tulsa on Saturday, but the game was postponed more positive test for the bear Cats with the Pac 12 and the Big 10 playing abbreviated schedules. Do we see a path where non Power five team could make the college football playoff? It's a great question, and it's a great unknown. I have no idea. I need to see what Those other conferences looked like it in 10 plays six.

"So it's a it's interesting game flows going to dictate a lot of a lot of that but I think that ultimately with what we've seen from the seahawks so far they definitely have shown a dramatic shift in the way that they're calling calling the games and I I mean I don't know if that's GonNa stay. Proud. Whole season but it definitely seems that this point that's used to and and for what it's worth both receivers metcalf and inside the top ten right now pr scorn. So either one man you got you got you know congrats on either player in this point in the season. So Yeah you came out of great victory lap Josh Great Meiji Latman let's move on to some breaking news breaking news four today right before the podcast went live for. Levian. Bell released by the New York jets. Now, nothing surprises with New York jets. They are a train wreck. If there ever is one a lot of people are asking questions like why wasn't Adam gays release instead of Lebanon Bell you know what? The Hell is this team doing Le Vian Belot happy. You know on twitter don't the peace sign up or whatever it was. He was excited the EMOJI put up there we have no clue what's going to happen here I mean do you do either one of you have six cents an inclination? Do you think about waivers or do you think he will go through errors and then get picked up? I think he probably goes through waivers gets picked up It just seems like the tendency for these vets that being said I mean, it's like the best case scenario rebel from fantasy perspective. I mean I thought he was dead and big part of that was just that Adam Gates offense but him escaping out of there I mean we've seen from Bobby Anderson another example of players. Year after year getting out of an atom gates offense and looking fantastic. So I'm not gonNA write beloff and I had already written him off. So it's Kinda interesting that. A coaching change could make that much of an influence. If Josh agrees with me remember everything he said coming into this season about coaching not mattering and it all being a player talent and just throw it out the window. Go. Ahead Josh. It's Adam Gaze is clearly that guy on the bottom that actually sucks so bad that he can Mason Rudolph a team. But Littered for net moving and doing so far nothing with the bucks makes me nervous about other running backs giving teams. Is there a team that he go to Josh that would get you excited? Or at this point, is it like you know it's it's you know whatever team he goes to. They have a guy that the kind of feels their guy and he's just gonNA share workload and you don't know how that's not me. Basically this will I'm asking you is where Levy Bella signs do you think you'll be more excited for Lebanon Bell more concerned about the running back who was already there?.

"Like there, there was weeks where people would ask Tilakar decay might have both voice start at this point. Do you ever say Tyler Lockett or do you say both or how were you this? While decay, metcalf is getting so much more volume is the not. Yeah. So so I think I think you have to go with. You have to go with meg half at least targets. He's getting a lot more volume in his way up there in air yards. So Tyler, Lockett can always drop a a big game but I feel like a calf is the safer bet do. You know I've felt like that question was lock it forever until that game on Sunday night I don't know what it was, but just watching them come down to like the last drive of the game and the last plays the game and watching Russell Wilson just focus in on metcalfe. kindest. Showed you the type of player that he is that like he is kind of that next level guy where he has a lead, you know top five in the league ceiling and I think For me. That question was always lock it. And I think it is shifting towards metcalf I don't know if it'll be that went the end of the season I think from target share perspective lock it could still targeting the rest of the way but metcalfe I mean he's that dude I just just watching like the way in which at the end of the game he was going to take over. I. Mean. That's the type of stuff that you see from stars. So you know I, think I think this is more or less his breakout performance in the NFL. Yeah I mean look at if you look at. Weeks one through five peop- PR literally number four he's is d Andre, Hopkins which is crazy to some people right away way his new team and everything. But Adam Phelan Calvin. Really who is seen it up and Kinda slow down a little bit points but you know he's been ribbon up all year and then decay calf right? Right right above tyreek Hill. Robot. He'll even weirder than than him being there is Robbie entertaining six ashes crazy but it is what it is man. We talked a lot about Robbie last week. So somebody thought DJ Moore's name should be there it's not now just reminder again, just a reminder. So right now I just looked it up metcalf lock it both have a twenty four percent target share but metcalf is getting forty two percent of the teams air yards to block. It's twenty two percent. Oh. Yeah. By far and honestly like. If they keep letting Russ Cook to the level they have been, and just he's airing the ball counseling than, yeah. Metcalf probably won't produce Lockett but if the season shifts get into the winter months and they start running them all more in having a bit more conservative offense. I think you're GONNA see lock it ended up having the larger target share. where. Both about the sorry Neil. Did, you see Chris Carson's line this week? It was like Ena. Reasons seven targets like it used to be twenty three carries and three targets on the crazy thing is he produced on that as well..

"The end zone overshot his man. Chase Claypool and disgruntled Roethlisberger after you missed him, and I think people had to step on slave would have been huge. Would've been a 29 yard strike. They got Claypool from the outside position running the post if that falls down In the body. I think Claypool, who's again we mentioned his size is able to keep the defender on his back. But Roethlisberger sales that one a little bit Roethlisberger shaking his head a little bit in frustration. He knows he missed on there. Big Ben 14 of 17 Now 2nd and 10 for the Eagles 29 Yard line. All tied at 14 were down a 3 15 left whistles blow and we've got movement up front. And coming in on a in a hurry off the edge was Josh sweat. And he's a guy that has been starting Mohr ahead of Derek Barnett, who's a pro bowler. It is on sweat offsides penalty. We're against the Eagles. Ben bit alarming right now. That's four Flags on the Eagles in the first half. Yeah, I really like this Just sweat guy, though it makes ah mistake there, but he is long and he is explosive guy that tall with that long of levers is really dangerous, usually tall, long guys that struggled to bend But he has a real ability to use those long arms and his long legs to get under bigger offensive lineman and push them back into the quarterback. Three sacks on the season already for sweat, second and five after the penalty counter.

"I try to separate my fandom here. I still think he looks fine. I think he looks like he could play. But he still looks old. I still think he looks old. It's a good old right now. But it's still an old old. So I have more optimism on better office burger than you do. I thought coming off season ending surgery that it could take him a really long time to really get back of the swing of things this year. And for the Steelers would be to a no and Rafa's burger to have thrown three touchdowns a week number one over 300 yards and week number two. I'm liking what I'm seeing from Ben Roethlisberger. But it reminded me yesterday of the conversation we had last week about how the Steelers drafted developed talent better than anybody else. The NFL That yesterday It was Chase Claypool and Deonte Johnson that Roethlisberger's throwing two. Now unless you are the hardest core pro football focus guy. Those two dudes are, you know, pumping gas next to you at Mobile or in line in front of you at the grocery store, and there's no way you know who they are. And here they are young. The twenties drafted developed Deonte Johnson was a third round pick two years ago by this dealer's chase Claypool Nobody's ever heard of He comes up with an 84 yarder. The Steelers. Just keep doing this. I mean, they just keep replacing. You know, Star skill position, offensive talent, and they're just it's plug and play next guys in and his he's going to get the job done. CH Chase Claypool is such a great story, too coming from Canada. That when he was recruited by Notre Dame, he was going to go on a visit. He from Canada knew nothing about Notre Dame. Just one of the play football. His Onley tip on before you get there and visit campus was watch Rudy and you'll know all you need to know when he watched Rudy on his flight town to go visit Notre Dame and basically just recited always fair reports of Rudy and he ended up landing. And Notre Dame, and now he finds himself in a good place for the Steelers. It's unbelievable. It's wild. The Steelers drafted Deante Johnson two years ago in 2019 of the third round. The Steelers just drafted Chase Claypool this year in the second round and yesterday, both of them and having big days they end up winning James Connor again was what probably three years ago now drafted 2018 or something like that. He led the team in rushing. They just churn that roster over with the young, good player that all contribute. Especially on offense. The Steelers get the win. 26 21. I don't know about the Broncos and Jeff Driscoll. I know the numbers looked good. I don't know. I can't trust Jeff Driskel this season. I don't know how long walk is going to be out. But That feels like a bad bet. Betting on Jeff Driskel to step up and do good things for the Broncos. Who knew he was the backup quarterback, either. When he trotted off the field. I was like, no drift. Jeff Driscoll is still a backup quarterback somewhere. How could drool Ox Insurance piece Beach Crystalline dead? Oh, my God. That's Jeff Driskel's music. Yes, but God, it's Jeff Driskel's music. Then he's making plays. When we come back here on the show, it is a stunned to a news week two of the NFL.
