"They score to tie it, but then there's a penalty and all of a sudden it's fourth and 20. And mills just heaves it into the end zone. The colt safety has the worst, most mistimed jump. I think I've ever seen in a National Football League game. They catch it. And then love is like, fuck this. And he goes for two. And he makes it. And he blows Chicago, who never gets a break ever. They haven't had the number one pick since 1947. They traded their second pick for Chase claypool, who had I think I had like two catches in the last half of the year. So they don't have the 32nd pick, but they do have the first pick all because Houston inexplicably is like, we're going for this. I couldn't believe it. What were you doing? You were in Vegas, watching it, where people go. I was very excited. Because I had the bears at plus 6 50 to have the worst record. And I had a good amount of money on it. I was like, this is unbelievable. This really is like, you look at how the bears, I feel like the bears played more good games than the ravens. And ravens are in the playoffs. And the bears were three and 14 with the worst record, but yeah, the fact that they're trying, look, you can't ever let it out. I've come to the conclusion that if you're a GM or an owner, you just have to be a dick and lie to these coaches because if you tell lavie Smith, he's going to get fired. Of course he's going to try to win, right? Right. What incentive does he have to lose? So you got to be like, hey, lovey, you're sticking around. Hey, go look for houses this weekend. Don't even worry about it. If you want to win, win, if you want to lose, lose, it's fine. This week 18 doesn't mean anything. And then pull the rug from underneath them. But you can't, you can't give a coach this much power, I don't think. Yeah, they should do like a more dramatic version. They should have done a more dramatic version with the colts did with Jeff Saturday. Sadly parted ways would love you to spend for this last game and we've hired Hakeem olajuwon as our coach for the last game. Right. Hakeem's never watched a football game before, but he's going to be on the sidelines for us today. And by the way, Davis mills has a calf injury and he can't play. And neither can our backup. And we've brought back Kent stable, even though he's dead. And he's going to be in quarterback. I like it all. There's no way. If you're a good organization, you can't win that game. You just can't. I know. It's bad. It's a lot of money to be able to even if you don't need to, you know, whatever. Now the bears could trade that down, right? Because they're not going to probably go forever, and they probably won't take a quarterback in this spot, but they'll be able to trade down. It's so much value that one between the one and the two or anything else, but yeah, I mean, they probably weren't counting out Davis mills at 28 yard touchdown to Jordan Atkins on Atkins on 21, whatever. So they covered themselves pretty well except for the coach that was pissed off. Well, you watch way more college football than I do. Why wouldn't you if you're the bears? Why wouldn't you rather have Bryce young and pick him and trade fields because Bryce young, you'd have for two extra years, right? You wouldn't have to worry about the free agent deal. You'd have them for 5 years instead of fields with three. And you could argue he's might be a better prospect than fields. Because I have bears fans in my life. We're like, oh no, we're set with fields. And I'm like, I like fields, but really are you set? There's not a quarterback in this draft that's better than fields, and you could have them for that two extra years. That's not bad reasoning, but I feel like in this day and age where you hit like 35, 40% on quarterbacks in the last few years. You can't say and I like Bryce young a lot. Nobody moves in the pocket. Like he does. But he's being held hostage by tua and being, you know, from that team. It matters. From the same school, bolt small, I'm not going to say non contact hits, but they're coming when you're getting flung to the ground, not helmet to helmet stuff. So the small, the lack of size only matters in that regard. So I could see bears fans want to hold on to them, but either way, it's a mess for the Texans. Well, you have the colts at the fourth pick. Yeah. That could be the trade up team, right? Absolutely. 7th pick, but I think they would probably go for some sort of veteran. And then Carolina with the 9th pick is another one that maybe could be a possible trade up. And then after that, I don't know. But yeah, I thought that was crazy. And really, the bears fans, they were two and one. What did they go one in 13? The rest of the way, basically, to get the number one pick like impossible. Yeah. The colonel jessup award. This goes toward you want the truth. You can't handle the truth. We found out some truths in week 18. Sam darnold does not a starting quarterback. I'm sorry, Carolina. I had Carolina at the winds total 6 and a half.

"No. I'll go. You're playing the week. Oh, no, no. No, no, I got this. All right, so first of all, I wanted to finish out what I was doing this whole time, and that was giving a summary on what I did for the last week. I told you to start Chase claypool last week. Two catches for 11 yards. I told you to sit Paris Campbell. He had 5 catches for 67 yards. So bad call. This week. I have Curtis Samuel. Is the FanDuel wide receiver what is going on? Am I doing the right segment here? Am I doing the wrong thing? Why is rob? Okay. All right. Wide receiver 25. Costs eCos 6500. They're playing the falcons 30th ranked defense against wide receivers. He scored the last 5 games since heinicke has been in there. He's had 13, 11, 17, 6, 9. Oh my gosh,

"He is just, he's escaping things in the backfield. He's making things happen. And I guess they are designing some cool stuff for him. And they are making things happen with Chase claypool and Darnell Mooney, which is, it's not a lot. He's more comfortable, too, as a passer. The outer structure stuff is awesome. But you can't live on that, but some of the instructor stuff. It's a lot better than it had been even back in September. So man, it is the error on him is certainly pointing up and I might, I think Tyree kill was the guy who put in the MVP conversation among the non quarterbacks like holy crap. The other thing I'll say is, I think Jalen Johnson's a fine player. I think it'll be a lengthy career as sort of a quality cornerback in this league. If you didn't know who the opponent was and you just watched Jalen Johnson this game in comparison to the people he was trying to cover and you were like, what do you think that guy's 40 time is? You'd be like, I don't know, it looks like a 7 6 7 8 type of guy right here. Oh my God, like, just a miserable day for him. The only thing I was saving them was the under throws. But man, tyreek hill is unguardable right now. And when you put all your resources into guarding them, they have Jalen waddle to go to. The bears game a lot of his own looks. That's no good. I mean, the stress that speed puts on a zone defense, it just immediately obliterates it. So, boy, it's cooking right now for the dolphins. And, you know, we'll see what happens as the year goes on. I do wonder, yes, if tyrique has like a soft tissue injury, that's a huge issue. I do also wonder as team C more and more of what this might be Daniel offense is with this caliber of sweet. Does it speed just forever overwhelm? Or will teams find a way to counter that and adjust, I don't know if we have that answer yet, but it's working. The defense isn't very good, but it's working. It was funny. Mike mcdaniel said today that Justin Fields was as fast as any skill position player that he's seen in the league. I'm sure he's obviously leaving out tyreek hill there who is on a different level. But speed is, we always used to make fun of Al Davis for stockpiling fast players and it was never successful for the Raiders, but that it wasn't that wasn't the NFL back then, right? And it wasn't spread out and there wasn't as much space to work with on the field. Now, I think speed is really the last, it's that last trait, right? That is not unstoppable, but is the thing that separates you from anybody else. I think that's why Heinz from Indianapolis, for example, was why he had offers at the trade deadline just because I think it's just, it's the one thing that if other teams have it and you don't, there's nothing you can do about it. And I'll make like a weird comp to think when the royals won the World Series. Do you remember what I'm talking about? It was like 5 years ago.

"Brandon and ayuk has been getting glowing reviews in camp. They've got deebo. They've got kittle. They got a bunch of backs. I just love mobile quarterbacks. And you don't need to be the most accurate quarterback from a fantasy perspective. If you can run with the ball to be a starter, you remember Tim Tebow? I mean, that dude would throw passes that looked like they were shot in midair. And he was a viable fantasy starter because of what he could do with his feet. And that's why I love Lance this year. I think he could be this year's Jalen hurts. Interesting. As for George pickens, listen, I mean, there's questions about the Steelers offense because there's no more Big Ben. Trubisky is, well, trubisky, Kenny pickets, a rookie. You've got Deontay Johnson in the mix there as well. Chase claypool's in the mix. But I could see pickens, maybe jumping and in fact, I've got pickens and claypool really close in terms of wide receiver rankings right now. Claypool potentially is a guy that utilized in the slot and they'll have pickens and DJ on the outside there. But I do like the talent, I don't know that pickens is gonna come out light the world on fire like Jamar chase. I don't think there's that wide receiver in The Rookie class. Okay. I don't think there's like that Justin Jefferson or Jamar chase. I mean, listen, a lot of talented guys, you know, Drake London, quarterback situation is a little bit questionable there in Atlanta, and that's putting it lightly. Same thing with the jets with Garrett Wilson. I like Elijah Moore a heck of a lot more than I like Wilson, this upcoming season. But I do think people tend to get a little nuts, like the Isaiah pachenko. Oh, goodness. Yeah. He's insane. And okay. You want to pay attention to what's going on in the preseason, but I mean, you also got to take it with a little bit of a grant saw. Jeez Louise. Like, yeah. Maybe Ronald Jones doesn't make the roster and Pacheco is in the mix in a three headed backfield, but injuries would have to occur for him to get a chance to really make an impact. So yeah, I mean, you're obviously paying attention to these players. Look at what Isaiah likely did. Jewish. Doesn't mean I'm drafting him. Right, right? How much 12 has Roman run? I mean, maybe it's just because he didn't have the personnel, but I don't know that he's going to make a massive impact. A lot of rookie tight ends do not.

"There's no good tight ends these days. So I would be perfectly happy grabbing Darren Waller for the next four years. The guy I'm not giving up on my Jerry Judy for you for you, Bill is it's Chase claypool, man. What did Craig call him? Terrell Owens, two. Calvin Johnson. He's the only guy to have the same numbers as Calvin at the combine. Listen, if you get rid of Ben's noodle arm, chase clay was a top 15 wide receiver in the league. I'm not against that in, like, some of the Clubhouse guy with them. All right, guy you wanted to take, but you were afraid you'd be made fun of the most. So Craig has Chase claypool. Oh, you have, say, Brad? I wanted to. I was worried people would mock me. But yeah, man making a $1 million a year. I was checking out javonte Williams for a while. You like running back. I like javonte Williams. I think I do too. I can't wait to see him next year with that with that Broncos team. I half expected you to take sake one. Now, because it seems like he's a little too available. I haven't given up on him. I haven't sold, I've been sold his stock. All right, recap, chase. Jefferson cup pits. That was our top four. Tyreke Adams, Diggs. CD lamb debo, Jonathan Taylor, AJ Brown, Metcalfe, T Higgins, McLaren, Judy, waddell, devonta Smith, DJ Moore, Godwin, Elijah Moore, renfrow Harris, Hopkins, Waller. Most upset right now, George kittle. Mike Evans, too. Well, he said, Mike Evans is expensive, right? Yes. George kittle's like, hey man, I got hurt last year, and when I came back, I was kind of kick ass and please don't forget about me. I'm just so afraid of him that he's going to tear a hamstring every time you catch the ball. I feel the same way about Mike Evans. I can't deal with Mike Evans, like just the lower body stuff for the next four years. Yeah. I agree. All right, good to see you guys. What do you have planned for the ringer draft show? Wednesday through Saturday, show every single day. Great. Well, think of me when the pat's trade down. Thanks.

"He didn't look good, Deandre swift, you know, carried The Rock, you know, me just couldn't score in overtime. Neither could the Pittsburgh Steelers. I mean, the Detroit Lions missed a field goal. Therapy and to win the game, then at the end, I believe friar moose fumbled the football, which was big. DJ watt, hip injury, that is huge. He could be out a few weeks, as I said, charger schedule gets tough. They need TJ watt if his defense is going to be good when they face their next you authentic of Justin Herbert, Joe burrow who's already beat on Lamar Jackson. We're going to need TJ watt. But the one funny real was naji Harris knowing are not knowing that they could tie in the NFL didn't know you could tie if you watched any NFL season of a previous 5 years. It seems like there's always been some tie. It happened to be your team, but again, Pittsburgh, no Chase claypool, no bin, TJ wah hurt. That's the result you're going to get is a tie. Now the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, buffalo, back on track after a brutal loss last week to the Jags. Said enough is enough. They win yesterday big, big win. 45 to 17. The buffalo defense was great, force four interceptions, Mike white through Josh Allen was terrific. That's the quarterback I started. Not as terrific as Patrick Mahomes. But still decent enough. Stefan Diggs. That was the stuff on Diggs. I'm used to seeing saw last year. That was his best performance of the season. So far, 8 receptions and 162 yards in a touchdown. The judge to me really at the bottom of the barrel right now. Then Cleveland and New England. And as I said, nervous about Cleveland with no Nick Chubb, no Kareem hunt. Yes, the shout of OBJ has gone, but they go as a running decks. Argon, and thought it could be a game early. Great opening drive by Cleveland. Now is the only great thing. Cleveland did New England another team decided to blow out Cleveland 45 to 7. The Patriots look good. They are really clicking started. One and three, there are 5 and one since that star, they are playing great football. There's defense as I thought would be really good. They are playing that part. Mag Jones to me is progressing with the recent struggles of the Bengals. Mac Jones in a big stage. Jamar chase was a lock early for offensive rookie of the year..

"You Darrelle Revis never would have been called for that in 2000. 10 through 13, but you know they got him on, Um, ticky tack hold before the interception, And that's a huge game changing play and, uh, the pass interference that Levi Wallace got called on, understand he didn't turn around, and it's a smart play by Chase Claypool to go back and through. Levi Wallace, But like Chase, Claypool, initiate that contact. You know that's a 50 50 call to me. Yeah. You know, I think Mitch Morris might have said it The penalties like you, you You're making the right point here like you're you're dealing with 1st and 20. But you're also not getting the benefit nothing. None of them were huge, although, like a turnover is a huge play, obviously, But like a lot of the penalties were compounded by not only hurting yourself in the yardage, and now you're you know, first and long. But you also didn't get the benefit of that play and again. None of them were like, you know, touchdowns or anything, but you still had a chance to maybe get in a flow, which they never really were able to do yesterday. In the penalties were a big part of that. And each one of them kind of like wiped out, you know, from to varying degrees that devious right place? Probably the biggest one because that's a natural take away that got taken off the board. Um, but yeah, they they They hurt themselves a lot yesterday. Yep, I would imagine that. The film sessions not super fun today, but, uh, for for a lot of those guys and the penalties and the bloc pun all those mistakes. Um are things were if you can nip them in the but now Then you move on and you're a better team because it's just one of those deals where you just would hate to see, um you know, holding calls or whatever they may be, um, show up week after week because that is something that could potentially Derail what most think will be a pretty special season this year. Eric this just to sort of put a wrap on yesterday going into next week. This will be maybe an interesting week inside the bills. With what the expectations are, and I know that some players I know what McDermott how he talks and like, you know, we're not about last year or anything like that. These guys try to keep Their eyes focused straight ahead. But, you know Jeez, like their human right, like everybody knows what the Super Bowl is The goal and what there are odds were approximately and so I mean, that's a big loss, probably in the standings for a team that's aspiring to be to be the one seed. Um, you just gotta you'd say it right? You just got to forget about it and trust yourself, I guess at this point Yeah. You got to move on from it. And, um, you know, and you feel that extra disappointment with how special that atmosphere was yesterday at Highmark Stadium as well. At least I did personally, You know, it was just It was so like when that punk got blocked. Like that was deflating for me. Personally, I'm not even in the locker room anymore. And but just to kind of watch the emotion of the crowd everything else and, you know, understand. At that point, it was going to be a Long road or really tough task for the bills to get back and win that game. But you know, Sean McDermott, you you hit on the head. I mean, he's been saying the right things, but these guys know that they have a really good team. That was an FC opponent that's likely in the playoff picture. And you know those those games hurt, But you got 16 more games this year. Um and you've got plenty of opportunity. Sean McDermott will use this as fuel for the guys. You know, a little bit of humble pie. Whatever it may be, he'll use it. To get these guys even work harder. Do more, whatever. Hell, uh, expect out of them, But, um, yeah, It's definitely not panic mode. That's a good Pittsburgh team bills made enough mistakes that Not give them itself. You know, they have not tried kick chance at the end the try to get the ball back. But you know that's a game where, um, they're obviously went back as far as standings goes, but if you use it To get better from using it to fuel you, then maybe maybe that's similar to the Arizona lost last year. That happened later in the year. That kind of fueled them for a, um Really incredible end of the season. Eric, What did you think before we close the book entirely on on this Pittsburgh game. What did you think of the fourth and one call the pitch back to Brita. Yeah. I mean, it's easy to pick on it right now. Um, you know that's that's a boomer bus play right there. And if the cornerback goes across the formation and at the two on one With Julie, Um, out in front of Singletary than Brian. Dave. All looks like a genius. Maybe it goes for 50 yards, and they take it all the way down. Um, but when I believe it was sudden, when he fired off the edge I mean, just close it up completely. And then you know they you it makes you look stupid for trying it. Um, oftentimes, you know the bills the bills on fourth and one traditionally. And they've all and Josh McDaniels uses all the time with the payer to Chillan up. And if the centers uncovered your QB sneak because Josh Allen can get forward then if there's a bear defense The linebackers walked up the centers covered, Then you'll check out that zone because you should be able to run right off the tackle and get one yard based upon the formation of the defense. I'm not sure if there was some type of I call him Get out of jail free cards like, okay, if they're in this look that we can't run this. Um, I would have thought whenever the quarterback didn't go across the formation, um, with the receiver in motion that maybe you try and check out of it, But it looked like I was wondering, Yeah. Yeah, that because because it to me and look, I've never seen the bills run that play in the game, And so they likely ran into practice. Maybe they felt like you, Liam..

"Bad. it's just that we. I kind of do like ben but i just don't think that he should have come back this year. That's all he was in the middle of a great year last year until week. Eleven and then all of a sudden the whole season got upset and then he kind of took over the offense and threw the ball way too much and they got away from who they are. So i think the comeback this year They stable running backs now drafted that nashi harris kid chase claypool is gonna be a great wide receiver for them. Back is in completely nuts. Like you gotta on defense. You know that they've had a bunch of lunatics hosted like a cat suicide on. Well that just means he's getting ready for the season holding. You gotta look at it. "Let's listen up to coach cower. Well, I mean, I think Web bankers don't make way. There's no question about it. I think he absolutely needs to play you want his daughter sees even near the yes. He can still throw the football. There's no question that you've got a very young receiving corps gives up the surgery. They're going Dante Johnson people. I mean, those two good receivers to go. Yeah. Yeah, I think that I have to reassess where they are in the running game, and what they want to do is automatically back and is now taking over as a coordinator, So it'll be a different coordinated going on there. So Those are the things that happened in it every year. Sometimes you have to take her things and make change. Sometimes the first take of change. I get the number of times a lot of Pittsburgh and you know, sometimes it's just just the way you have to do it. It is maybe the coach and may be a player. Maybe it's just that you designed T O move on from, but it's still a lot of really good players, and I think that's a side of all we've got. T J Watt makeup is Patrick Davenport imports coming back? Um So this is it. This is still repeating that builders have to kind of re toll. I also get your ego. So I look at the Steelers roster. Agree. They got some pieces on the defensive side of the ball. Can their offense be a Super Bowl winning offense this upcoming season? And, yeah, Chase Claypool gonna be in the second year. You look at you just miss you start. I don't think juju is coming back. If he's gonna be a big name on the market. I don't think you just miss you stirs the number one wide receiver in this league. Here's the other thing. Can they run the ball? James Connor is not a number one back. So can they run the ball next year? Because there They're run game. Was not existent. Back there. How many games that we say? Wow, they gotta throw throw throw throw throw with Big Ben. And Big Ben at this stage of his career, and also James Carter, by the way, we as we know is a free agent, too. So we got to see what his future is. You look at Big Ben. Big Bend if even if they have an average run game next year still got throw the ball. What? 35 38 times. That's a lot of times. I think there's gonna be mistakes. I know people look at the game against the Browns all he had four passing touchdowns all you had all those yards. Do that for interceptions. Because it was all on him. So you got to get him some help. I just look at Ben No. The last two years. I was at that game, I'll sit in Protect 50 yard line. The reason why I tell you where I was sitting by the way, my favorite seat in a football stadium. Second or third row. I'll protect 50 Yard line. That's a side note, though. You get to see everything developed when you're up there. And I saw Ben I know he was hurt. I want that game. I walked out of the game that night, and I said, Wow, Big Ben looks shot. Big Ben looks done. Then you find out what the injury next week it is done for the season. And this year there were times where he look good. Even when the Steelers were rolling, though, from a record standpoint, 11 and oh, There were signs that in the ceilings aren't as good That's the way that the record says they are. So for Ben If he had a game up against the Chiefs. I think they're winning that. No. I don't think they're able to keep up. Even if you go against the Browns, Yeah, they could beat the Browns, but the branches smother them. And the second Ravens game. How much stock can you put in that 20? The Ravens are out because of co vid. So you playing a tough division? You playing a good division Who knows what the Bangles are gonna be next year..

If that was really loud, and I was watching the game, it didn't seem like there with that many people there. But man, that crowd was loud. Listen. I mean, considering how the year has gone this season is gone with the lack of fans in stadiums. It could have been six only 600 people in there, too, so it was kind of like the sound out can have their reasons for going Right, right. Yeah, it could. It'll sound deafening. If you know you get 100 people, it wouldn't you It would have been loud It could be, but that's the thing. I mean, everything you know, in the night game with Buffalo. There's gonna be a lot of a lot of fans up in there, too. So I'm not a lot, but, you know, take 7000. But it's great to have the fans back in their neighborhood. Cheer on the football team, because, you know, I know here in Indianapolis, talking to players. There was a game in Chicago, too close play two bears, and that was the first time they were in a stadium with zero fans. Wow, and it was just odd, they said. It was just odd, able to hear everything that was going on during the football game. And now I mean, I was saying what it with the safety measures if everything's taken care of some fans are better than no fans of my opinion. I agree with you. I think about, you know, watching the Browns Steelers last week. Now, Typically you go to Heinz Field. You know you're going on a silent count the entire time, especially during the playoffs. You're going on a silent count the entire time. And once Pittsburgh makes the play that moment in with that crowd gets the rolling is really hard to overcome. Uh, If you know what, last week it was pretty much silent. They had friends and family in the crowd. So I didn't hear any Cheers. Well, I think I know why I didn't hear any cheers up in Heinz Field. I'm sorry. I'm I'm a Browns fan. I had to tell you what being petty My petty my Patty is on 1000. All right, especially after the week. You can't sit here and try to try to start calling names and saying they're blank, classless and everything. They came into your backyard. Gave you work. They put up 28 points on you in the first quarter. So you gotta you gotta you gotta tip your cap to say you know what? They were just a better team than us tonight, but we look forward to playing them next season. After we go on vacation to Kabul and all that type of stuff, and you got to expect it. Look, I know when I play Madden with my friends. If one of them was talking junk before we start playing and I win, I'm going reverse it right straight back, Adam. And that's just the way that things are is not classless. It's sometimes you gotta take a dose of your own medicine and juju hasn't really said much. But chase Claypool has dropped like four videos. I'm exaggerating a little bit, but like at least three, you know videos of calling the Browns classes, then this was my favorite part about that. Mike was I think the video was released on Wednesday. On Thursday. Video of him, you know, calling the Browns classes and stuff. On Thursday, he tweeted Man. That video is old. I talked to some of my browns friends. It's all good. Go represent the F C. North. Don't. I mean, look, I'm 41. Maybe I'm losing track of how time operates, but a interview that happened two days ago are the day ago. It's not old Bess is going to get you know what's the shelf life of an interview now, Jason, you don't get it. Yeah, it's a listen. Everyone should even worry about what places talking about they do. You need to worry about how they're gonna be able to handle. Kansas City Chiefs tomorrow that's dance their priority. Don't get don't get caught up in trying to go back and forth on somebody who is in the same place that you and I are watching the football game on TV. What they feed up on the couch. That's right. It's you know, they got bigger issues to worry about that somebody you know, being immature and not being able to handle the feet. That's like my nine year old when, back in the day when I used to try to be brave and play a video games with me, and I would be and I would beat him. And then he would get mad. I'm like, Come on, bro. Just say Take this, Helen. Keep on. Yeah, That's right. That's right. You're getting a little bit of character. From taking the ale. It's time for us to head to the podium. Where divine take Adams is meeting with the media. Last time, I was just talking to Mark Murphy about this. The last time we had the NFC Championship game here was shaped like 2007 or something like that. So E mean, it means a lot to me. As you see, That's a great team right there when they got to come in the Lambo, like I said, million times at this point you come the limbo. You're playing different brand of football. It takes you out of your element as far as the way you talk when you play you get rattled. Man is tougher to communicate. We got fans in there today. So they were they had it rocking so It was just everything was on our side. So just about coming out just playing Packer football and what we do that nobody could stop us..

"Last week goes for rock was one into yours truly was 11 and one that bucks game pushed right on the number at eight when we picked it, however, since my good friend Confident a former Pro Bowl quarterback Gus for out, forgot to play by the rules and pick an underdog. Browns pick for May counted as two picks, so if they won, I got two wins. So 11 and one turned out to be 21 in one On the season. Am 27 27 2 with the extra Browns win that's 28 27 into and Gus for rod on the year is 28 25, 3 and Gus to start this segment. Let me just say one thing we had someone from CBS Sports Radio come into the studio today. They took measurements from where you're fat Head's going to go that you're gonna have to send me and sign it. Oh, man, that's gonna be a big space. You got way got a lot of space here in the studio. But I need to put a Gus for fat head in this studio signed when you lose the playoff picks to may, and it's got to be at least 6 ft. Away from me. So we're gonna have you socially distance away from me, and it's going to be lovely in the studio for years and years to come. So I got a question. Is this a bad? From playing days or a sad head current. It's whatever you want, my friend now we don't know the dimensions, but I just told them Hey, Gus. Big ca basa. Make sure that we have enough space on the wall and they said Okay, we'll find the way to put it in the studio somewhere. Well, what do you What do you think about this? Your fat head with a helmet on? My fat head with a helmet on. So I got a lot of those helmets, pictures. I kind of know your helmet picture looks like it's not appeasing. That's really disgusting. It's repulsive. Great. You're making me feel great. On a Friday here, Gus, you're up. I got to do what I can. You know that Just like kind of strike your mood a little bit now if I have another winning week. I have a good smack talking video that I may release next week. Now I know you. You're not fazed by any smack talking. I don't know if you'll like this video or not that I may put out there if Continue the momentum this week, but I may have to start playing dirty because you got the best of me in the regular season. Why was a long year? It was a strange year, you know? And you know what? You might not have been in your best this year. So I'm just saying it was pretty darn close. I mean, you put up with 28 wins. Yeah, and we're still going And by the way, I did put the check in the mail today to the Ronald McDonald House. So I am a man of my word 250 bucks to the great Ronald McDonald house. Now I just got to get you the state from last postseason. So whenever this covert stuff is over, whether it's us Lincoln up in a Super Bowl, or maybe you come into New York for me going to Pittsburgh. Will get you that steak, beer, wine, tequila, vodka. Um, let's go creamy spinach, lobster, Mac and cheese will make sure all that is taking care of all right. That that Delight for my man. I can't wait just for right here with us on the show real quickly before we get to the picks this week. Got to bring up the Steelers because I'm really so upset. I even took a terrible towel out today and wipe some of those tears away. But how about after the game with what you just said before the game with the Browns is the Browns. I get chased Claypool coming to his teammates, defense. If anything juicy was classless and also chase Claypool, you're saying now the Browns just gonna lose to the Chiefs like that's supposed to make you feel better because your team couldn't get the job done. How about the Steelers wide receivers are making no sense the last week or two. Well, there's definitely a little lack of leadership going on that see those wide receiver room because I've played with a lot of guys that would never say anything. You go out. You know, you go in with style, and you go out with style and use class the whole way and and I think some of that is for their social media and trying to make a presence for themselves. Now you talk, You talk on the field and you win games. And you know that doesn't look good for anyone because the Steelers organization from A long time ago has been a class act. Yeah, There's some things that have happened, But you know, when you have players like that, going out and saying those things, you really put a stain on your beard, your team your organization. Do you think Big Ben will be back? And should the Steelers bring him back? Well, he's got a big cap it next year. If he does come back, I don't know. I think Ben's thinking very long and hard about it. Um You know, they're probably some things where he's not moving like you used to. That was a big part of the game is getting rid of the ball. Um, the only way I see uh then coming back. Is if somehow he thinks they're gonna have a great running game. Because I just don't believe that when Ben has to throw the ball over 30 times You know that See this record is what it should be. I like then when, when you know the run the ball great. He's running play action. Not when he's in shotgun 68 times in the game. Yeah, it's not a formula for success for any quarterback us for out here with us right now, In the sack guilt she will get to the pics in just a second. Gotta get your QB brain onto Shawn Watson. He's not happy, deservedly so he should be in order the organization with all that happened last year. What would your advice be to Cal McNair and the guys running the show in Houston on how to deal with to Shawn Watson? Well, I mean, I think he's proved that he can be your quarterback of the future. I mean, he played well, They didn't have a lot around them. They, you know, they gave away their best one of their best players. In in Hopkins, and and when you do that, you know your quarterback's gotta find a way to win. I look at what he went through this year, and I thought he did a great job, and I think he just said he's basically saying, Look. Proven myself on the field. Now, please give me the guys to go with me so that we could go out and win the championship and when I think teams started saying, Well, we're not so sure there becomes a rift in that it's It's like you look at what happened. The Eagles. It's It's crazy. They got a great player, and I just don't think you can give your great players away..

"Time Pro bowler first team All pro in 2000 and nine. He'll have a thought or two on the Cleveland Browns Chiefs game, and I also want to ask him about his thoughts on the whole chase. Claypool Juju Smith. Schuster Aftermath Cause to May That's what happens when you're a younger player in the league. I think Chase Claypool and Judas Michu's during a few years from now, when they get a bit older, and they mature a little bit. They're gonna look back. And you just miss Houston's gonna probably say Yeah, I shouldn't have said the Browns is the Browns. I shouldn't have talked smack going into a playoff game. And then for Chase Claypool. Yes. His heart was in the right place in defending his teammate, Judas, Ms Schuster after the game, But to call the Browns classless doesn't make sense. Because Judas, Ms Schuster was classless. It was the Browns responding and just taunting juju after the game, and they weren't malicious with it. They were just saying, Hey, the Browns is the Browns. You choose words, not ours. But yeah, the Browns is the Browns. And for Chase Claypool to also sell it off as Oh, well, yeah, we lost, but the Chiefs are going to take care of the Browns next week. So what matter does that make you feel better? If anything, that's kind of a weak way. And that's AH, week. Way of looking at. I said this yesterday, we're talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers and iconic franchise Ah Gold Standard franchise in the National Football League. What do they usually synonymous with? Championships, Super Bowls Lombardi trophies. And now you have a player basically accepting getting blown out by Cleveland, an organization that had to have the playoff victory since 1995 and Ali okay with it. Chase. Claypool is basically imploring the Kansas City Chiefs to finish the job that he couldn't end up coming through with That's kind of pathetic to may. We're not talking about some terrible organization. We're not talking about some irrelevant organization that has not been there before. We're talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers. And as I've seen troops, Steelers postseason runs as of late A lot of talking before the Jacksonville Jaguars game. Overlooked the Jaguars, who beat them up early in the year. They've already thinking they were gonna put the Patriots that NFC title game and what would have been that Super Bowl 52 season with the Eagles ended up winning. What did Phyllis do? They overlook the Jaguars in that game. What the Steelers do this year, the same damn thing. Yeah, There's different players. Yeah, there's new names, but they did the same damn thing. So we'll get Josh Cribbs thoughts not only brown cheese, but also to just Miss Schuster and Chase Claypool and then at 9 P.m. Eastern six, Pacific, the Gospel US Nosferatu will stop by Will have NFL picks with him. All right. Without further ado, we do this segment every Monday and Friday, Right here on the Zack help Show on CBS Sports Radio. We call it on sides or offsides. "Because you guys didn't get the job done. Chase Claypool. Stupid comments Ju just Ms Schuster. Unnecessary comments and Sean wait, also unnecessary comments. And has a talk show host. I appreciate it. Thank you guys. Appreciate you giving us some conversation. We could have some reaction. You ever heard the expression Don't poke the bear. Don't poke the bear. You just missed Schuster. Oh, and also my friend Davos, Sweeney. You poked the bear of I'll state 11th in the coachespoll. This is not just the player issue. This is coaching, too. And that's why there is an appreciation. For guys like Nick Saban and and Bill Belichick. Their players get brainwashed. Even the most outspoken players go to New England, Alabama, and they don't say anything. Remember when Quentin Williams Was about to talk a lot of smack on Kyla Murray, and he's about to say Before Alabama went up against Oklahoma that column. Murray's not all that he's not all that special. And right when he was about to be critical, the words were basically at his mouth. He's like he's not all that He throws Has break big brother's saving was watching and he was saying Put it. This is next saving speaking have a chip installed in your brain. Any time you're about to disrespect the opponent. And your brain. You will hear these Noises, huh? I'm next seven. I am inside your brain and I'm telling you, she don't talk any smack about your opponent. Quit in volumes. Throws And I was like, Yeah, I'm good. You remember that trace? How unbelievable was that? From a few years back where he was about to talk crap on Kyla Murray and literally. He had a Hubbard. Hubbard. Hubbard Hubbard, Hubbard Hubbard a moment that was awesome. Listen. Nick knows any coaches guys. Well, that does nothing for positive for you, and all does help your pony even more e. I know A B. It didn't last long. It's not the best example. But even when he went to New England, and he had to go through all the stuff that was self inflicted. He was gonna ask tough questions. I'm just appreciate it. I'm appreciative of the opportunity, I think was the line that he was given channel. Just Cinco who I love channel just like when I favor football players of all time. Entertainer. One of the great players with great entertainers combination of both made the game so much fun. Logistical goes through England. Different shadow Just sync up. No, it'll play great. But he wasn't distracted when they weren't playing well when he wasn't playing well. It's amazing. It's almost as if we talk about the spell that Jackie's Toby has on comic networks will get to later on the program. We talked about the spell that Howie Roseman has on Jeffrey Lori. It's almost his Bella Chicken statement. Get in from the room. They go. You're all getting sleepy. Any time you're going to be critical of the opponent. Basically gonna smack you in the head. It's not even let me hypnotize you. It's just I'm gonna smack in the head because you know Bella check when a player says something that he's not supposed to say. I'll check gets up in front of the room. I'm goes. Oh, yeah. You need to say this to the media. You know, when you talk about this And all these programs they have media coaches now. They tell you how to deal with situations that we talk about All every team has a public relations person. Now they have people that go in and tell you how to deal with the media. And their expectations there. Sean, wait, must've been sleeping during that little situation. Davos, Sweeney. Must've been sleeping, one that was given out of Clemson. You just missed. Shuster was probably pick talking, which I don't care if you take talks. I've defended you to you for that. But he's probably take talking about Mike Tomlin was telling him Don't give anything to the media. It's amazing how often that does happen. When their comments that could be avoided, But sometimes players and coaches just can't help themselves. All right. Congratulations to Alabama. I want to get to Three things. Two of them have to do with Alabama off the Alabama win. And the result of that game. The other has nothing to do with Alabama. I don't think it has anything to do with Alabama. Let me start with the two football points and I'll get to another football point. But it's independent of national championship game. I was thinking about this last night. Next seven wins his seventh title. Nick Saban has the most Championships and the history of college football for coach. What if Nick Saban when he was in Miami. He was the coach of the Miami Dolphins for two seasons before leaving and bolting and going to Alabama. We're now He's won six titles at Alabama seven total in his career. The one L S U What if Nick Saban sign Drew Brees? What if Drew Brees did not flunk? Or they didn't flunk or fail Drew Brees on his physical? What would happen? And the football world in the sports landscape. I think it's one of the greatest. What if questions of all time? Just think about how many people it effects. And you tell me if I'm missing trace Some point where it could potentially affect Look at the axes. Tom Brady direct competition with Drew Brees, another Hall of Fame quarterback. Who knows that Brady maybe has a ringer to less. Alabama. Maybe Nick.

"Just it was a surprise cuz I could have never thought that would happen. I'm like no way the browser not going to win this game and they did and not only did they win the game. They were up 28 nothing in the first quarter. It's crazy to me. Now. It does have to be acknowledged that Pittsburgh handed them a lot of points. First of all the very first play of the game maurkice Pouncey Z nine-time Pro Bowl center for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's a pro bowler this year snap the ball up over Big Ben Roethlisberger's head and the brakes are covered the bad snap for a touchdown bam. First play seven nothing like oh what a crazy way to start the game and then it got worse and worse and worse than a two interceptions and a three-and-out and the Steelers had three turnovers just in the first quarter by the end of the game. The Steelers had five total turnovers Big Ben had yeah. He had five hundred yards passing. He had four touchdown passes. Oh, yeah, by the way, Big Ben also had four interceptions. Oh, that's not good. That's very very bad off and I just the Steelers played terrible. They didn't show up. They looked disorganized. They did not look on the same page. There was a play where Eric Ebron probably should have stopped in the window Big Ben thought he was dead. Eric Ebron kept going it's a guy open who ran the wrong route and miscommunicated with the quarterback. It was not good. It wasn't pretty and it's just it's insane to me how far the Steelers have fallen from where they once were dead at one point during this season. I made a video I talked about how I believe that the Pittsburgh Steelers were a playoff team. They were running the ball very well playing good defense. They had receivers making plays left and right. Do you have to Johnson Chase Claypool Juju Smith Schuster, the guy had good running backs, like everything was running a very very smoothly for Pittsburgh early on this year. And in the second half of the year, they fell apart. They couldn't run the ball effectively. They their playmaking receiver suddenly stopped making plays dropped passes like crazy Eric Ebron, Jack Johnson was a massive culprit. It just got worse and worse and worse and Chase Claypool emerged as a really good player, but it's like man, it was so disappointing to watch this really capable football team would fall apart and I just not to mention they had injuries on defense and made things even worse. They're they're probably the strength of their team their defense really got Kimpton fell apart as injuries piled up and the brown sorry the Steelers completely fell apart the Steelers just one point where a team I was very impressed with playing they were playing great football. I mean you can say well there were always signs. They weren't going very good. They're always overrated say what you want. They were playing fantastic football early on in the year and it just fell apart man. It's it's a It's a collapse a complete collapse the Pittsburgh Steelers and I want to really quickly touch on Juju Smith Schuster. Juju had a quote earlier this week and I don't know the intention if you watch the video of JuJu talking about it..

Steelers vs. Browns - Game Recap
"The cleveland browns. Two thousand two. The last time this franchise was in the playoffs but they beat the steelers yesterday's and they get in and dan. They started out running the football with nick. Chubb that power. Run game with nick chubb. You see that offensive line. Kind of changing. Denting the line of scrimmage and then chubs depth pig playmaking physical and not between the tackles but also got big enough speed and baker. Getting don is looking for tight. End up ten nine on first and goal in the third quarter this afternoon. Yeah the fact that they went back to this he missed it in the same play gets his is. Backside finds often prefer touchdown. No ben in this game mason rudolph way had some good moments. And then he had this one really good blitz packet by the browns defensive drop myles garrett into and then that safety to sit there like all right. Don't leave the ball mason. Rudolph shoots turner for this defense. Need mental switched sides on the field because it went to the fourth quarter and then it went to jarvis landry and the browns were up twenty four to nine not love this play. Call you kind of get. Landry sideline to sideline and you handed off for the touchdown. And then finally you get the ball out of pittsburgh's defense something that chase claypool done. So well look at his ability. Go up kind of contest for that. Catch over jumped. The fence and back touchdown pitchford. That made it twenty four sixteen and then under two minutes to go in the game and this is juju smith schuster and all of a sudden. It's twenty four twenty two dan. How about the two point conversion you gotta make sure at some point. This guy's got the opportunity to go high point of all scrambled around. Give them a chance to go get his hands on that. Football fewer still had chances stephen. Carlson somehow manages to come up with this on side kick. he's eighty nine cleveland. There for a moment there was kind of between the wickets. If you know what i mean. But he manages to hang onto it. And then dan baker mayfield runs with the first down the isis. The player not love the play call by defense came look at the emotion from baker mayfield. You don't kind of representing that city. Just look how much it means to him to finally get that done in cleveland. Good for him good for them. The browns are in the playoffs. The afc wild card round will kick off saturday.

"Yeah, I would cook with Brandon cooks this week last week he was a absolute stud had a huge game for fantasy manager's. He's got the Titans this week. They've allowed 20 touchdowns and the third most fantasy points. Wide receivers in that same game. I like Corey Davis. He had us think of last week, No points on two targets. But the Texas of 21 touchdowns and the six most points the wide receiver, so I think this could be a high scoring game and then Hollywood Brown. I mean, earlier in the season, he had done next to nothing, but he has now given you 12, plus fantasy points in five straight games, and back in week five, he had nearly 20 fantasy points against Cincinnati. So Hollywood Brown is a wide receiver Three Flex this week. Wide receivers to sit Tyler Lockett, He remains on the list. He has failed to score more than 20.3 fantasy points in six straight games. Three of those games he scored single digits and the 40 Niners held him to just 7.3 fantasy points back in week. Eight. Judiciousness Schuster is a really tough sell for me. The Browns defense is much better at home and bend rather's burgers, not playing. And if you have a short memory Well, then maybe you don't remember that When Jude you played with base and Rudolph last year, it was not very good. Chase Claypool. Also on that system list and Robert Woods. Here's the good news. He's probably gonna get a lot of targets this week because Cooper Cup is on the covert 19 list. Here's the bad news. Those targets are gonna be coming from John Woolford, who has as many NFL pass attempts as Jason and I So start Robert Woods with Extreme caution. All right, tight end started setting where you gotta start Michael Sticky this week against the bills. They've allowed eight touchdowns and the seventh most fantasy points too tight. Anson gets sick. He has a really nice report going on there with two a tongue of Loa, Evan and groom who's been up and down all season long like a roller coaster, But he has scored at least 9.5 points and all but one of seven career games against my beloved but pitiful Dallas Cowboys, who might actually still win the division. That's just crazy. Ah, couple of Titans to sit this week Austin Hooper against the Steelers. Cleveland will get back all of their top four wide receiver's off the coded list, and the Steelers have allowed only two touchdowns. The tight ends all season Long and Jimmy Graham don't chase the points Last week, he had two touchdowns. He's got a revenge game this week. To me, it doesn't matter. The Packers I've only allowed five touchdowns and the fourth fewest fantasy points too tight. And so keep Jimmy Graham on the sidelines. Alright, well, your fantasy playoffs may be coming to an end. But the NFL playoffs air here and the NFL.

ESPN Daily
Can the Pittsburgh Steelers Go Undefeated?
"Are see. We are forced to listen to quarterback so often in the world of nfl analysis. So i just wanna thank you for helping lead. The db revolution espn daily. Why does this happen. You guys finally invited me or it's your time man your old team. The steelers are right now. Undefeated and that is surprising. Let's be honest to a lot of people. So how surprising is it though to you. I think it's it's. It's more surprising when you actually watch the games It's obviously surprising. Anytime team goes through more than half of the season and their undefeated. But when you watch the steelers play the second half against tennessee titans even watching them to send the backup quarterback gets the denver broncos or be dominated upfront defensively the way they were against the baltimore ravens but still be undefeated. I think that's the fascinating part is not just that they've managed to win. Every game is just inside of those games. you seen opportunities for them to lose. But they've made the place that they've to. I mean you can even look at a match up against the dallas cowboys and say you know gary gilbert and the dallas cowboys may have deserve to win that game. But that's what this lied about was going to come down to one possession games. He's gonna come our critical situation though football moments and at least it does far. The steelers have found answers to any questions in those important moments. And this is why you sit undefeated. So how does this defense stack up. Ryan versus the steeler defense. Is that you played for that. You helped lead. What are the holes in this defense. You know what. I don't think they necessarily have holes in the sense of of those things being a negative right. He's looking to make a rush. The passer with just for the obviously can bring bring pressure make fitzpatrick ultimate playmaker on the back end and i think they have really good corners. But they don't have that great court but when you all those things together i think you get one of the top defense in the league especially when it comes to pressure and turning the ball over we. That's what football is right. Like people aren't going to hold you. Thirteen points like we did wait. Like that's not the ball we play it. You can't intimidate people like i would get fined and kicked out of every game. Five play james harrison fell six million dollars a year. You can't do those things anymore. But if you could get the ball which the pittsburgh steelers do know that really helps and that's why this team world season. Well i wanna get into the difference between playing football then versus now especially because offense is king these days as you implied right there so the defense is the big reason. The steelers are undefeated. The offense though i mean they've been relatively relatively average so can eighteen built around defense. Like the steelers are ryan. Can that sort of team win in the modern nfl. I believe they can. I believe they can. Because if you look at the individual weapons offensively like they are extremely. good I think you you're missing that one running back piece but we look at pool. Smith schuster the johnson. Eric ebron like that's a skill set or skill position that a lot of teams would love to have especially teams not named became the city chiefs. And so if you can do all those things on the outside like they can. You can score points. Also look at this team at critical moments though. Think about tennessee. Titans having to get a drive late in the game even though been was a reception late like they were able to the ball greg band. There's gonna prevail on the road. The pittsburgh steelers had the hold on dearly man. Hold on they do for the baltimore. Ravens they score in the second half and they were able to do that then back pop. For the end zone touchdown pittsburgh and all the out cut to the chase. Claypool man play. It just seems that all the critical point of the season it's offense has been able to produce down to like. I said the dallas cowboy game last week obviously exploiting a very bad bengals defense and well in a team like the cat city chiefs right and i say okay. One had the baby stopped him have to limit big play. The pittsburgh steelers can do that with rush. Plays on the back end right. Play play man when they need to stop the big click now. Let's go offensively the only time we've ever seen patrick mahomes lose. He was in the playoffs. He was standing across from another super bowl. Winning quarterback that was tom brady and rothlisburger. Isn't tom brady but he can do. Some of those things in important moments. And we've seen of do those. And so i think this team can most certainly went into as you mentioned chase claypool his nickname if catching on with you but maple tron. He comes from canada. He's this guy. I didn't know anything about. I wonder if you did because he has seven touchdowns in his first nine games as a pro. What has he brought to this offense. I mean you look at what this league is turning into. Because of the lack of physicality it's a it's a size speed league right like it's starting to they used to be. It didn't matter what happened in the shorts olympics at the combine like if a fast it didn't necessarily mean it was going to translate do can do certain things there did me but it's starting to mean that at the wide receiver position because of the rules. Like if you could flat out run you're gonna probably get open because they can't hold you. You pass five yards. They can't hit you across the middle play putin critic who has great hands he tracks the ball. Well he has a big body and so when you have all those things just translate we've seen chase claypool. You know kind of come out of nowhere. They just kinda have a knack for finding people that sit what they want to do and utilizing them in a way. That truly helps the team chase. Claypool is just another example of that
