Here's who is getting a $600 stimulus check

"Increased stimulus. Where are we with that, Michael? Well, if you ask President elected Joe Biden. He says that if Democrats win in Georgia today, those $2000 checks will go out the door almost immediately. Well, I proposed that that wouldn't happen until after Joe Biden's in office on January 20th. Once you sworn in, though, that could very well happen, at least that might be the plan here, So that's the That's the level that he's thinking of. At this point time again, the now $600 that have been issued to some people prior to the first of the year. Other people are still on the process of trying to get Their stimulus checks right now for $600. They're they're out the door and a lot of different cases. There is in the I r s website that you can go to to check in on your pipe, which is known as the economic impact payment on D figure out if the stimulus payment has been sent. It's even got information for your first stimulus check and what kind of payment type will it be by direct deposit or mail? On again. It's usually by the guidelines that we've seen in the past. If you go to an individual with $75,000, a less in gross adjusted income, you'll get the $600 full amount married couple of $150,000 same thing. If you've got kids under the age of 17. They're qualified for $600 for the stimulus payment as well. So, like I said, some of those out the door already, Some are still on the way. But the IRA says that the website is updated once per day overnight, so there's no need to check back multiple times per day. Michael

"I San Antonio's first news with Charlie Parker, wait. What happened? Yeah, baby is already there isn't another beautiful day upon us Wednesday, November 18 2020. I might make a last minute decision. Just stay home and not do anything at all. I reserve that right? I like that. I like that. Now. You don't wash your turkey. Do you know the apparently and they do this? I think every year the U. S Department of Agriculture has reissued its warning that you should not wash a raw turkey. It can lead to cross contamination and food poisoning. Because when you wash it, the juices can splash. Onto other foods and transfer bacteria to foods, kitchen surfaces and utensils. And they say it's virtually impossible to wash bacteria off a turkey anyway. Makes sense. So there's your turkey warning. And you mentioned this. I think earlier this morning. I think it's very cool of zoom Zoom is going to be a big part of my Thanksgiving. I've got relatives in California. I've got some in Galveston and across town this year because we're not old gathering together, thanks to covet 19 zoom, dropping its 40 minute limit. For Thanksgiving calls on Zoom. That's pretty cool, which I didn't even realize existed. I guess I've never had a zoom meeting that lasted that long. My family is so long winded. I think the last time we did. It was like on Mother's Day and boom right at 40 we got we got, like a five minute warning at 35 minutes. You have five minutes left in this zoom call, But you can re launch a new meeting with the same jury. Right? Okay, but I mean, when you've got like 17 people around the country relaunching and I know that's a first world problem. The equivalent of an old payphone. You know, you need to insert another dime, but no, But you're right. I mean, By 40 minutes. You should be done with the conversation. Yeah, you would think, But we have the bigger the family. The more people have to say. And there's always that one family member that seems to dominate the conversation. Isn't there usually the loud people like the people who work in radio problem? Who are you? The dominator of the conversation and your family? I am not. But I will not name names. You know who you are Probably wise, probably wise. So anyway, you can do your soon calls and just Hang out awhile. Thanksgiving Day if you like, because the 40 minute time limit is being rescinded by zoom lots more coming up. It is Monday, November, 16th. 2020 That means 10 days until Thanksgiving. Are you kidding me? 36 days still until the start of the MBA season, which is kind of crazy because the NBA draft is until Wednesday. So the Spurs and all the other MBA team's going to draft players. There's a lot of player movement and a lot of these players don't even know where they're gonna be. 36 days from now. When that MBA season begins. We're 39 days away from Christmas 46 days. Away from the new year. 2021. A lot of people want to get out of 2020. I can relate. And we're 84 days away from Super Bowl 55 in Kampe, But I don't think the Dallas Cowboys or the Houston. Texans are going to be their charity McCurdy, I'm a little bummed out. Not looking good for either team, and I still love the Cowboys had a buys, so I still you know, the first of all, the Cowboys did not lose this weekend. That was great is that but their division the NFC East, which is absolutely horrid. The New York Giants, which whom the Cowboys beat and are supposedly worse than the Cowboys. They beat the Eagles yesterday. So now, so, so that benefited the Cowboys in a weird way. If the Cowboys who are now a game and a half behind the Eagles, and they still have a half a game, uh, get another game and a half. Excuse me their game and a half behind the Eagles, and they have a head to head games still against the Eagles and Washington lost. Yesterday. There in the division that benefits the Cowboys. I'm an idiot. I know that for like trying to calculate what it would take to win the division, but I just can't let them go. Charity I keep I keep Paying attention while they're still in the race for the NFC East crown, So anything could happen in a very bad relationship with Jerry Jones. I understand. And I guess they're gonna stick with Andy Dalton. That seems to be what the indications are. I guess I mean, Garrett Gilbert sure looked a lot better in that offense in his last outing against Pittsburgh, where they darn near beat the undefeated Steelers. By the way, the Steelers won again yesterday. They're the only undefeated team in the NFL. They beat the Cincinnati Bengals. So Pittsburgh now nine, and, Oh, even in their great years, when they had Terry Bradshaw and Franco Harris, and they won those four Super Bowls back in the late seventies, early eighties, they were never nine. And no, this is the best start in Pittsburgh Steeler history. Wow. And then then, of course, my favorite teams the Cowboys in the NFL, but my second favorite team, the Houston Texans, because Texas so I watched that game there in it the whole way there in Cleveland. They're playing well. It's a tight game and the Houston Texans lose 10 to 3. Same charges. The Cowboys I know in my dream charity. On all it's not. I know it's not gonna happen this year, and it's never happened on all Texas Super Bowl Cowboys Texans back in the day I wanted Cowboys Oilers That would have been just so cool. Earl Campbell running for the Oilers, Tony Door set and Roger Starbuck for the Cowboys Bum Phillips coaching the Oilers. Tom Landry coaching the Cowboys. It would have been the greatest thing ever. And it almost a couple of times. The Oilers were like in the A F C championship game, but the Pittsburgh Steelers beat him. Yeah. So call me a passage. Charity? Yeah, I want to get me an old Texas Super Bowl. Good luck with that. Good luck with Thank you. Thank you for the optimism. Alright, lots more coming up. "San Antonio's first news with Charlie Parker coming up Brad Sham with your Dallas Cowboys report before we get to that charity. I alluded to this a few minutes ago. It's A pretty big story. Pope Francis, in an interview for an upcoming documentary, says that he supports civil unions for same sex couples. This a big departure from his predecessor, Pope Benedict to Ah, Called homosexuality quote on Intrinsic moral evil. But as you mentioned earlier this morning charity this is in line with what Pope Francis had said before he became a pope. Yeah. He had endorsed civil Union specifically as an alternative to same sex marriage when he was the archbishop of Buenos Aires. But you know, this is the first time I think that he's Come out in the open and in a very public way in this specific documentary talking about same sex relationships, So I think Ah lot of people in the Catholic community are waiting for further clarification from the pope on this Because a lot of people are outraged in the Catholic community. Ah, who have said that the church cannot support the acceptance acceptance of what they see as objectively a moral relationships, So it'll be interesting. I don't think this story is going to go away anytime soon. You know, one of Ah, Pope Francis's quotes in that interview, he said, quote they are Children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out or made miserable because of it, which you know, compared to his predecessor. Sounds like pretty reasonable language. You know, this affects a lot of people, you know? Ah, you know, I know it's a very, very sensitive issue for me. Personally, I have people who are near and dear to me that this effect so you know, it's definitely a very personal, very emotional issue. But Ah, to have the leader of the Catholic Church come out and say This is definitely a very powerful statement. Big big story lots more coming at you, including the Brad Sham. "Benny Carter. Charlie Parker Stone by contrast is thin course more blues singer than Broadway. His. Kansas. City elder lester young was a role model there. That lighter sound let Parker be light on his feet and quick he redefined jazz velocity. UPTEMPO when you need it a moment to think he didn't start some pet lick a placeholder that also served as an identifier signing his name to a solo. No mystery why his nickname stuck bird. His scrappy sound and pithy little melodic figures had the rough beauty of bird calls plus the cartoon cry of Woody Woodpecker. Here's birds serenading the crowd at a Harlem. "From whyy in Philadelphia I'm terry gross with fresh air. Tomorrow is the centennial of Charlie Parker's birth, one of the most influential musicians of the twentieth century. Known as bebop along with others including trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie Drummer Max Roach and pianist Bud Powell, it was a turning point in jazz, but I many listeners resisted it as Max Roach told me in nineteen, eighty, seven, the Kurds was say busy sounds like he's playing mouthful of Marbles telly Walker was playing scales from a Saxon Book but Powell had no left hand and Max routes dropped bombs. Today we celebrate Parker Centennial with archive interviews with two musicians who played with him. Max. Geniuses of the twentieth century was an originator of what came to be known as bebop tomorrow August. Twenty ninth marks, the hundredth anniversary of Parker's birth. To celebrate, we've pulled interviews from our archive with to musicians who played with him, Max Roach who invented a new style of drumming for the BEBOP era and Red Rodney, a young trumpeter who parker hired to replace. Miles. Davis will also hear from Alto, Saxophonist Jackie McLean who idolized Parker and would even loan his horn to Parker when Parker Saxophone was in hawk. Will hear their stories later in the show but let's kick things off with the tribute from our jazz critic, Whitehead who cost. Parker one of the most brilliant and influential jazz musicians ever and one of the most notorious for his use of heroin and alcohol leading to his death in nineteen fifty five at the age of thirty four. Kevin says at the heart of Parker's are wis his virtuosity on the Alto Saxophone. trumpeter Louis Armstrong and saxophonist John. Coltrane Charlie. Parker was so influential even players other instruments one of that sound. Trump bonus pianist guitarist drummers more copters, style or freezing. His sensibility pervades jazz on multiple levels. But when Charlie Parker I came up some luminaries like Armstrong didn't get it at all. For one thing there was Parker's unvarnished sound. Before him even alto players who got around on the horn and were free with the beat. Lay Benny Carter got a thicker sweeter..

"With Charlie Parker day, thirteen four government shutdown. We're joined now by San Antonio. I news national correspondent Michael Bauer. Michael is start at the end. And then our work our way to the beginning. What is the office pool where you're located say what does everybody generally thinking about witnesses going to end? Our pool ended about three weeks ago. We thought it wasn't going to last that long definitely extended further than we thought it was going to go here. I think we're working on an extended version of especially after the word yesterday from Mick Mulvaney, spoke saying that he was going around asking leaders through all sorts of government agencies to get information to him by tomorrow to let him know what the highest impacted programs that would be in jeopardy if this thing ran through March and April Charlie so while it's just a numbers game that they're trying to pull together an idea of what could happen. And then there's no real indication that will go that long. I stay with my fingers crossed that listing that there may even be preparation going into March and April has got some people in DC scared. Yeah, we're not just talking about federal employees anymore. Nearly forty million Americans aren't going to get food stamp benefits this week. And that's just sort of scratching the surface. If you will to some of what we're seeing as far as this effect goes absolutely one hundred percent, correct. You're seeing that happen all over the country where you got the payments that were made a little less than a week ago. Now for the last batch of food stamps that aren't going to go out here going forward. We don't have the money set up for that. You're seeing these affects that are really having to take a toll on everything you've seen the US General Services Administration asking congress for it to allow reprogram of five hundred twenty million dollars. So it can make lease and utility payments for federal agencies. So that's what kind of level we're looking at here. Boeing is warning that a prolonged government shutdown could hurt its business in the aviation industry. And when you're seeing secret service agents exchanging, these little challenge coins that we've seen all across DC or as a jab at the ongoing partial government shutdown. You know, this is having an effective. Those folks can't even think about it going into February let alone this thing stretching in the March or April was the latest offer that the House Democrats made to the president. There's one that's kind of a work in progress. Here. Still Charlie was coming out yesterday that there was more that the Democrats were going to be offering a deal to President Trump that would offer up five plus billion dollars in new dollars for border security measures. So they were going to bring possibly that five point seven the president of the looking for they're possibly going to bring that to the table in border security now, that's where this key is going to be it's going to be and what the president believes is border security, what he said is border security, and what the Democrats believe border security means that that that terminology is going to play a big role here because the president even as little as probably I think it was a week and a half ago when he was boarding an aircraft said that he thought the fencing the wall the barrier would fall under border security. So if that's what the Democrats are offering this up under it would be hard to believe in hard pressed to think that there wouldn't be some money going to a barrier on some level. But it does seem like they're trying to bring the number of the president was looking for as their overall pitch here in the latest draft, which is still being drafted. But we may see a little later today. Two different votes. Today in the Senate one on a Bill reflecting what the president asked for on Saturday in some concessions, and he would make involving DACA. The second is for a measure already passed by the house to reopen government through February eighth. My money is that neither one of those will pass. Yeah. That's a good bet. I would stay away from either of those passing. I think best case scenario again, they're both procedural votes. So it's the pre vote if you will the vote to see if you're going to vote neither one of those expected to pass right now, the key here is and this is where you're looking at both parties in the Senate saying, this is an opportunity we think to be able to sit down and bipartisan negotiations that might lead to a compromise on some level. So if they've got the ability to take both of those bills work with something therein or even add a little bit of what this proposal may be from the house coming forward. They can kind of make something there in work and come up with something. That would be good news. But again compromise is not a word. That's exactly been fluttering around here in DC for the better part of the last thirty four days, even see Susan Collins is making it out when she's gonna vote. Yes. On both of those bills because she's kind of Mirroring what the polls and the public are saying about this just get us out of the shutdown element. Whatever that takes once again. Thanks for the update San Antonio. I news national correspondent Michael Bauer. Here's a new US intelligence report out regarding global free. Chance to the United States. "I. Kosco? Forty one San Antonio's first news, Charlie Parker. Shug night going to jail. We got birds in Minnesota. Somebody will turn that into an aphorism game or something for kids to play soon. Cavenaugh confirmation. We're gonna take the light way out over the next twenty minutes or so let's begin with. Thank you very much for putting up with us this week we relocated. We're no longer where we used to be where now where we are. And we told you on Monday bear with us, please that we were going to have some technical difficulties and we did. And when we left yesterday all the technical difficulties that had accumulated between Monday and yesterday were taken care of and gone. And and charity moves in. At the old digs. We just looked through a window to see charity. We can't see her now because she's too far away. But we can see her now because they put her up on a video screen, which is in front of us. The problem is is that they just cleaned it up. But earlier this morning it had a lot of static. And it was just like a Strobe. I thought I was watching a Trent residents. And that may have been what caused. Yeah. Seeing how episode earlier today. All right. So it looks now like everything's been taken care of. Thank you for tolerating that with us throughout the course of the week and stick with me for a moment. That's what he said. You had a better story. Just a moment ago. I don't care about it. But you had one yesterday. Apparently, there were some people in the state of Texas who thought that if you had a Bethel Rourke sign in your yard. It was a violation of a Texas law what chase between nineteen forty and two thousand eighteen because people have been putting politicians signs in their yards. For decades is because they were getting an official looking letter from Texas dot gov, which is a legit state website. But the letter actually had a fake address. And basically it was just campaign tactic from somebody or those who oppose better or work just to throw. I was wondering, you know. What's better sign sign or Gina Jones or gene? Ortiz Jones depending today. Or, you know, Ted Cruz sign. That means said let me ask this question. I ask you to my wife yesterday, and we couldn't get anywhere. But that happens a lot of times when my wife, and I talk what's the purpose of those being put in the yard to show their support for their candidate. Okay. But. Why? Me and my wife had the problem. I don't think she understood. My question is a hard question hard question. You're are you trying to convince me to vote for who you're voting for? Or are you proud of who you're voting for? And you want the world to know does it matter that you want. If that's the case, why do you why does it matter that you want the world doesn't that cause more problems would solve piss off the Ted Cruz people? Yes. And if you got a Ted Cruz sign in your yard piss off the road people. Yes. It does aren't you just inviting some kind of criminal activity to your household. It's just like the bumper stickers. You know? Well, at least. At least it's still not a quick fix. But at least after an election the yard signs at some point. We'll eventually disappear. However. Still see the Bush. I still..

"Charlie Parker welcome into Friday July twentieth It was a Friday six years ago two thousand twelve a, lot of, you were here that. Morning As of right now Ops fifty Fourteen dead Theater Area hospitals that audio cut of course is. Incorrect you can't have fourteen dead when only twelve people died That what a what a morning Charity was there ever a day that you? Hated, me more. Than that morning. No don't? Don't don't answer that Might hit. Me with something Since then I'm not aware or before the end. That I'm not aware of and the reason I say that if you were with, us that morning and you you might not. Remember it the same way we remember it charity, would do a newscast in of course we're talking about, the, dark Knight rises midnight screening Aurora Colorado when, a lunatic. Killed twelve people wounded seventy others Charity would. Come on and do a newscast and two minutes later I would I dunno contradict, is the right word but I would basically. In a nutshell come on and say what charity just told you was incorrect yes got to and I, did, that all morning long or at least for, two three hours To the point toward the program director, came in and told me. You gotta you gotta quit doing. Go what do. You, mean it's. Miss information, well we have, to report the news. The way we. Get the news will charity might have. To, GM might have to I don't have to if the news changes from what she said to the time I opened up my. Microphone I'm going to clarify it now, we need to well you can't I, said I have to, that's that's my job you're my boss. You don't know, what my job is well how that ended up as a whole, different story There have. Obviously been stories and they still happen. To, this day in which there's a lot of misinformation But that morning, I believe in the twenty five plus years I've been here I don't recall A story a news story as it unfolded had more miss. Information then that, story and before July twentieth two thousand twelve. News outlets were. Already playing the Hey we have to be. I we don't have to. Be right gain how. Ever that day I think. Was the beginning of win everybody signed on hey they're doing it, over there they got away with, it they're doing it here everybody did it, that day why don't we all just make a pact, from this point. Forward we just need to be I we don't need to be correct Because it was all morning long and I understand misinformation, and I understand news departments having, to report stuff as they happen But then no sooner than charity, would, do a story I get, more I get different information and I wasn't, so much correcting. Contradicting is I was saying okay we now, have x. right and. It's being reported by five. Different people five different ways I don't know what's accurate when I. Do I'll let you know no sooner that would happen it'd be time for charity do another newscast there'd be more, news she'd have to report it because it's coming from somebody on high that's supposed to be credible and two minutes later you find out that it was wrong And it still happens to this day a. Lot was at the beginning I I think so that's when it got that's when like I said that's going to everybody signed on it will just be I. We don't, have to. Be right does were the days look at other things this day in history coming..
