"WGA Andrea I'm Robbie James you got two hours to spend together I hope you'll stay with me that of course is in fact Charlie McCoy You turned 81 this week hard to believe That actually charted I think that's a number 99 for one week but well that counts sort of And there's a fine record all the way around That was on cadence You're saying number 99 on the Hot 100 so happy birthday Charlie McCoy Greatest harmonica player ever Nashville ever seen And he still with us glad to glad to hear that All right so we have Ruth in great America has a song request all right Ruth What a fantastic fortunate show that was this evening and still continuing So as the request for when the saints come marching in the month of March because they bought always felt a juxtaposition for the month of March and that song and it would be for the peak silent walking club that marches in the same and parade I'll try to find it I'll try to find it by pizza for you Right And I think that the lady liberty very very powerful lady She would be very pleased to know that the felt and walking marching unit would be blessed with when the saints come marching in Now Mario address is one 24 So I'm going to make a sticker for a forever step Of abundance All right I'm just not doing it for the new moon I'm going to get a sticker that says abundance And then I'm going to put that check into the envelope with the sticker where the postage stamp should be And it's going to send it right back to me And my own little box and it will be fortunate forever And abundance forever Well yeah I like the sound of that Yeah it just keeps getting more fortunate all the time Okay so that was it I had my request toward the wins the saints come marching in We'll do it Okay thanks All right so happy to do that And joining us is in fact the lovely and talented songwriter extreme Johnny Dee and Youngstown What's up tonight Johnny Dee Are you there Well why aren't you there No it's probably my fault I'm just not sure what I did Clearly something All right so we'll try it again No let's see Try it all again All right so we'll see Johnny D going once going twice are you there Are you not No he abandoned us abandoned ship I think he wanted to talk to Marianne actually And I pale by comparison That's for sure I don't see ghosts or anything else I barely see things that we all know are here with us So 888-876-5593 88 88 Raleigh will do it to it You know I'm always looking for things that might be interesting to talk about that isn't really news And this was one where I just looked at this and you got to be kidding me New York City of course So right there you've got to be kidding me right They've got a clean air program Well of course they do It pays a bounty to people who snitch on other people Now how this works actually is the snitcher gets a cut of the fines imposed if a video truck or other commercial vehicle is idling for more than three minutes Actually a truck caught on video not necessarily a video truck a truck of any kind It doesn't matter Or one minute outside of a school That's it So if you see a commercial vehicle of any time idling and they've idled more than one minute into school zone or more than three minutes anywhere else You get $87 and 50 cents for turning them in They get a $350 fine Now you know considering where some people are economically I can see why this really might be a draw I also can see the result of if the person being snitched upon is aware who did the snitching Yeah that might be a medical bill that's a lot bigger than $87 and 50 cents But that's their latest brain trust in curbing curbing pollution So there you have it 8 8 8 8 7 6 and Johnny D 5 5 9 three by the way that in case you were wondering is 88 88 ROL YE and that takes us to Johnny dean Ohio who's calling back all right he's back Yes we're all in on hi I hung up Well that's not the show You know Marianne kowalski so it was over so But I'm still here You can talk to me I know absolutely nothing about ghosts I know well when I called back John said that I had told John that I wanted asked Marianne about the Quincy situation all right I wear one actually Every day I know Well I know and John said to me well you know you can ask Wally because she knows all about the Quincy right Now wait a minute but I was when I was going to get on with Marianne kowalski I was going to say I was thinking hello Mariana I have a question about the lensing oil or something that's a rinsing and I was going to see how she reacted to that you know She's heard it all You think I couldn't because I was going to ask I was going to say look Marianne Have you ever heard of Amy Yes she has How do you know Well I do know You do know Do you know that Because we've discussed it Probably turned on is my problem So that's the evil eye Sign of the horns We've discussed And I was going to tell her that as she was going to say I was thinking she was going to say well the Malik and she knows about it And I was going to say well you know well he thinks that's a hard temper Very nice You know what I mean Very nice Yes yes you'll be here all week try the veal There you go What was I going to say Well yeah I wanted to talk to Marianne koski but then I was going to ask a lot of the work the royal ten Well you know here That's all lovely but when she's on we have people who actually feel their haunted or are worried about this So we usually defer to them So don't be a wise guy Yeah right It's not the stand up hour because we only get an hour And so too many people have real concerns I see Well I don't know I was thinking a big chance because you know I'm sitting over here in my bed and I exactly a decent so you said she could see you Well if there's a ghost nearby otherwise otherwise if there are no go she can't see it That's correct Okay All right Because the deal is the reason she can see what's going on if there's a ghost as she can see what they see She can see through their eyes But if there's if there's no ghost prison she doesn't see anything What do you call that Oh you'll call it anything It's just something she was born with And there's other people who can do it You know who exist how public many of them are I don't know But there's that girl that all those life what's the name the one that was born Stacy Right She has a friend You know in the car But I don't know whether she saw it rondo as a ghost or whether she saw him after he'd crossed over I see That's not the river sticks now is it It's hard to say We don't know too Yeah Last night Really I didn't want to talk I was going to try to talk to Mary Ann but that didn't happen I was thinking better off for it Oh this falls act of weird Say that again I said we're all better off for it Now you were thinking Yes Not again because and that's another question I have for you because you know a lot about a lot of things So I asked that question Just to get your opinion all right Because since you know so much about so much stuff and everything how am I thinking How is this blob of Proto plasma blob brain thing How's it making me think How's that happening Oh you know that's the real question And there are a lot of different theories on this and the combination of the body the brain and the soul or the spirit if you will.

"Now in an interview with songwriting magazine gave says that. He was playing with a band fraternity house at vanderbilt university in nashville tennessee. And when they were on a break they stepped outside and they hurting fantastic voice seed from down the street. They ran down to see who it was and it turned out to be robert night again told night that he had to get him into a studio at night was of course suspicious but it turned out that there was a connection between their families And so agreed to come in. He introduced to buzz. Patterson and they put everlasting love together very quickly especially for nights voice but as you heard times on the show everlasting love was originally meant to be the b. side. The intended a was a song called the weep and that song on felt so hard by the wayside. That i couldn't tell you for sure whether it was ever released everlasting love became the a side and be side for that. Original release was cold. Somebody's baby which is not the same song that became a hit for jackson browne. Some years later at any rate the track has an interesting sounds on it especially four-times for instance the string like sounds on. The record are actually far facade organ. Probably their compact. You look model. That's just a guess. On my part they put a lot of echo. Wanted to give it a bigger sound. An craig in used his bandmates kenny. Buttery on drums. Norbert putman playing the bass and charlie mccoy along with pacing himself. Playing guitars case also sang backups. Along with carol. Montgomery now robert knight recalled that even though it was written specifically for his voice he even sing the song exactly as written. He thought that it was a little too fast. So he's floated down with it. Beaten half pattern here him doing almost a staccato kind of thing that changed the pace of the verses and that's the thing that night thought cop off ground. The song was immediately popular in fact a by the time hit the billboard hot one hundred in september of nineteen sixty seven it was already number one in philadelphia and in detroit essentially it was popping up in different markets at different times which actually made it tougher to promote eventually did peak at number thirteen on the billboard short and number fourteen on the billboard rb chart a high you say but what about elsewhere in the world well it did make it to number nineteen in the uk but the catch is that it didn't do that until it was re released there in nineteen seventy four. So why didn't it.

"Swung on, and it is the air to deep left. That ball is high. That is far has gone. A stand, Tony in home run, Got it. He lose that deep left. Wow. What a long run! Get the distance on that. It was John Sterling on there, and I like I like the Stan Tony and call. And by the way, I wouldn't call it a tune up. I would call it a beat up. Yeah, it doesn't count, though. Yeah. And by the way, no known See Po Sto Parlow on that one. Go there. I don't know if in the longer version, he did it or not. That's a good close. Jerry. Let me ask you a question is a big baseball fan that you are, sir. It is. Did you like the cutouts behind plate or the like the way? The Yankees just didn't know where the Yankees we don't. We don't do that crap. Well, look like Yankee game where all the rich people are getting their sushi, I would say, right Good, very good Sushi, I would say watching on Saturday night. At first, I thought it was the stupidest thing I ever saw. And by the second inning, it just blended and look like a real game until you're focused. On the cardboard cutouts and realized they were cardboard cut outs. But I thought I thought it was good that the feel of the game Saturday and it was good last night. Same thing. You know, Aside from the fact there was nobody behind home plate, but I didn't mind it. You know the home run shots. Yeah, they were weird. So be it. But No. What For the most part it comes across well on TV, which I think is is the most important thing that we talked about. Golf comes across great on TV. You know the NASCAR the way they're shooting it on Fox and everything. It looks great. It looks riel. You know, watching a little bit of the soccer too, You know, I think that's fine. I agree. I don't I don't really I do miss the fan reaction. Yeah, There's no question about that. But I think for some guys on the PGA Tour like they were talking about this yesterday, They were saying that Rory McIlroy really hasn't gotten his mojo going because they believe the fans are not there. He plays to the fans. But there are other golfers who may be playing a hell of a lot better because there are no fans. I forget who it was that why whoever it was that one last week? I don't remember. There was a clip from him. Yeah, he said, cause he made that big long party was making putts like crazy and he said, You know what if the fans were there? Maybe I don't make them. I don't know. So I do think that there's something to that. But You know what? Watching it on television this weekend. As I said to Greg, we did warm up show between five and six this morning. It was very cool Saturday night at seven o'clock now that it was appointment TV, But it was just normal having a game on and having whether it was, you know, Okay and Cone or having Gary Keith in Iran or listening to John and Susan. It was great. So all good, at least with Main Highway six. Nothing was the final Yankees beating the Mets last night. They will play the Phillies tonight. Another game that will have here on the fan with John and Susan. Here was a boon on that line. A bit is monstrous. Five home runs last night, two from Judge drove in three Stanton We played You also hit homeruns, Loup Voit, Gary Sanchez. They just continue to confirm what we're seeing, really? From the start of summer camp where guys were in shape, kind of chomping at the bit. And I think they've really taken these inter squad games and all the live reps and the same freedom, a cz very important things right, And the same can probably be said for Jordan Montgomery Coming off Tommy John surgery. He was sharp. Last night. It was Boone on his starter. He confirmed. I thought tonight, you know, for us Good as he wasn't spring on And then again so far here in summer camp, you know, I think he even put it all together. For his entire out. If here was Montgomery on his thoughts rose trying to pound zone change speed, so I kind of found my timing and my rhythm and which is trying to excuse me. Pitch is good in the Lawson met Rosario and two for three for the Met You at your own assessment is playing left field for a portion of the game. It was manager Louise Ross. I expected him to be at a point where he will be plain in the in the outfield and then Running the basis and but right now, he's I'm actually surprised to what he's able to do out there. So good news for you, Ennis and good news for Jacob deGrom, with the little back flare up last week yesterday through its Citi Field, and RoHaas says, Let's get it going on Friday. Nine strikeouts. And I think the reeds for like 98 to triple digits on his fastball, and then you know the slider makes wreaths were like also where you usually is like. Performing, so everything will run well there so Pretty much lined up right now. For Mets Braves on Friday. Here is Freddie Freeman of the Braves, talking about his fight with covert 19. I was like if I go above 100 for again a prize to start bringing the phone, you know, trying to figure this out, but I said a little prayer that night because you know, I've never been this hot before. My body was really, really hot. So I said, Please don't take me I wasn't ready, You know, worrisome that night. He is nine days clear, he said, though of any symptoms and of testing positive, so he is absolutely on the mend. The Blue Jays are a homeless baseball team right now because they cannot play games in Toronto. Is that came down. Friday or Saturday. I forget when so the question now is Where do they play? Buffalo was thought to be the place. The first players don't want to play there, so they are searching. Here's their manager, Charlie McCoy, on where and what it's like to have no home stadium at the moment. I'm grateful that we were here for these two weeks because if you can see all the teams are having problems, but so I'm I'm glad they're going into the season. We're healthy so that that's just the best. You know, same area for us going into a season where we're going to play. Hopefully, we'll find out soon that sounds like a glass half full type of guy. Your type of guy Boomer. Yeah, well, you know, I would make any excuses because excuses don't sound good going for all of this right? Wasn't that was the beauty of I know, That's why I'm saying, I mean, like, there's no reason to make any excuses because there are a lot a lot of people out there that are going through a hell of a lot worse than trying to play baseball somewhere. I could tell you that. So what he said was the right tone the right way to say it, That's all. No question anyway, I'll go plan a little league field. Let's go. We're ready to go. We'll play. What about the Seaview field over at Fire Island think that that is available? Just can't hit it into the tennis courts. That's why I think nowhere is an out and the unfortunate Ah, NFL wives..

"Uh, yeah, I think so. And you know what? I think that the front office maybe, you know, I think John and the coaches that they're in the same boat. I think that they want to get something long term done as well. But You know, just the situation you're in right now. I just You know, don't don't don't know that. Ah! No, they feel too comfortable. Kind of stepping out stepping out on the plank like that. Run the second part of your question, you know, just Justin Development, Man, You know he's Like I said before. He's done everything that a coach a community, a team. He's got everything that a person could. You know, everyone could ask for, you know, he's Ah, Model player model citizen. He's you know, the highest rink. Hit the highest defense grade. Pro football focus me in ahead of a lot of the great safeties. Ah, they're playing the NFL right now ahead of you know Jamal Adam's Derwin James ahead of Mika Fitzpatrick in Earl Thomas. You know that there's something it's not like. He hasn't Put in the work. He had an exception made such tackles. Ah, and I think eventually it will get justice will be abroad for a very long time. I don't think Rocco's country has anything to worry about in a long time. That's kind of what we've been saying as well that leased for this run up to the deadline, which is tomorrow. A lot of us here on this show were especially, you know, Ben, who's been really plugged into this have been saying that is going to be OK. He's going to be a Bronco this year, and the Broncos have up to this point have said that they want to keep him But the one problem I have with this, Stephen, we're talking about this in the last segment. One problem I have with this. Steve is once again the Broncos are kind of letting the market dictate for them. They did this with von. They've done this with plenty of other players in the past marriage, Thomas. They kind of waited until the desk Bryant deal was getting done until they made their move. So when you are a team that lets the market get dictated for you, sometimes you end up paying a little bit. Mohr. Why? Why do we? I don't understand necessarily the idea of waiting on these things. I guess maybe maybe you have an idea of that. Well, not really. Ah, you know, it may have something to do with. Ah, You know the guys on the roster in the amount of money they're making. Maybe You know, they can see at a future date that you know that they'll be paying less money out. And they you know they could pay them Or maybe this time next year. You know, you just never know what the You know what the thoughts are, but again? Ah, I think They know the importance the value that just brings Um and they don't want to, You know, go out searching for another safety after this year, especially after the type of seasons that just had And the future. I think he's still no hasn't played his best football. You play some really, really great football, but I think he could still get better on DA It's going to be great when we see him do that in the Bronco uniform. How important is it to keep your homegrown talent? Justin is a home grown home drafted, I say homegrown home drafted brought up through this organization and, you know, hit all pro status in his final final season of his rookie deal. How important is it to maintain those guys and make sure that you get those guys to second contracts? Rather than letting them hit free agency for the continuity of your team. Well, I think it's really important. You know that you Kept guys that you have right from day one. It was like we had a really long relationship with Chris Harris Jr and Dirk Wolf on DH Steel with Bob Miller. Ah think it's extremely important. You have guys who've been here right from the start. That's all they know. Is the bar code and the Broncos way and you know, they understand you know the importance of working hard and on playing hard and the devotion of our fans here. Ah and I said Justin is a perfect example of the type of player that you know. You wanna have. Well, what with previous special because you say 22 shadows when you want to. Just nice, you know, got guys in that mode. Steve. Let's shift gears a little bit because we did mention training camp coming up in a couple of weeks on the offensive side of the ball. What are a couple of the battles that you're looking forward to the most? You're gonna have one with running backs, which I think has gotten a lot of headlines. We know this. Give me battle there. And, Yeah, a lot of bell there and left tackle also battle and why receiver in the back into the roster, or even Or who's going to kind of break camp as maybe a starter out there versus somebody that's going to have to earn it overtime. So what are some of the battles that you're most looking forward to on the offensive side of the ball? Okay, first off, I think We've got to get the center position squared away, and I think that girl bowls will probably end up being the starting left tackle. I know that's going to be a good battle in camp. I know he lives you could come in and play play well, but I still think that the girl will be able to. Ah Tio have that position was camp breaks. But the center position no petted more often. Lachman and Lloyd Christian bury Ah, man, and we better start I wanted they could place a bet on who is going to be the starting center. I think that's going to be a great battle The watch. I'm looking forward to seeing those guys go out in the trenches. Cows are able to communicate with the rest of the lying get everybody on the same page page, make the adjustments and also how tough they are. And you know they're going to go up against Big drill drill, Casey up the middle and Ah ah, Big cow Picco and Mike for sale. Come on, man. They're going to have had her hands full. I'm looking forward to that battle. I just need a running back battle with Norman Gordon for the blend E and, you know, you know, Pat Shurmur, man. Ahh I feel He wants to kind of have Ah, primary back, although he has Had with the Vikings he had, you know, two or three running backs kind of sharing the roles. But were we had his most success? You know, ST Louis ground with the Eagles with Charlie McCoy. Was when they had a bill counter guy and Ah is going to be interesting to see who that guy is going to be, Um, that's going to be a great battle. The watch cap and You know is gonna be fun to watch, but that's about it in position. Your fan Big Benet Bennett. Jeff. I've been out with Owen, Jake, but come on. If that's gonna be a battle to watch and like Kid, five pioneers makeup thing. Well, I mean, let's not forget about Austin back th back. We still got Troy for Magali in Austin forth the camp darling from last year, we did even mentioning that just so you know, tight end tight end was was, ah, veritable wasteland a few years ago for the never Broncos and now you've got an embarrassment of riches. Yeah, yeah..

Okay, first off, I think We've got to get the center position squared away, and I think that girl bowls will probably end up being the starting left tackle. I know that's going to be a good battle in camp. I know a lot. You could come in and play play well, but I still think that the girl will be able to. Ah Tio have that position one camp breaks. But the center position no Patrick Moore's office lobby and employed Christians bury Ah, man, and we will then start I wanted they place a bet on who is going to be the starting center. I think that's going to be a great battle the watch. I'm looking forward to seeing those guys go out in the trenches. Count are able to communicate with the rest of the lying get everybody on the same page page, make the adjustments and also how tough they are. And you know they're going to go up against Big drill drill, Casey up the middle and Ah ah, Big cow Picco and Mike for sale. Come on, man. They're gonna have even had her hands full. Humbly before that battle. I need a running back battle with Norman Gordon fill of Lyndsey and you know, you know, Pat Shurmur, man. Ahh. I feel He wants to kind of have Ah, primary back, although he has Head Ah, with the Vikings he had, you know, two or three running backs kind of sharing the roles. But ah, where we had his most success. You know, ST Louis ground with the Eagles with Charlie McCoy. When they had a bail counter guy and Ah is going to be interesting to see who that guy is going to be, Um, that's going to be a great battle to watch cap and You know is gonna be fun to watch. But that position Your fan Big Benet Bennett. Jeff, I've been out with Oland, Jake, but come on. If that's gonna be a battle of watching and like Kid five Heidi and make a scene. Well, I mean, let's not forget about Austin back th back. We still got Troy for Magali in Austin forth the camp darling from last year, we did even mentioning that Just so you know, tight end was was, ah, veritable wasteland a few years ago for the Denver Broncos, and now you've got an embarrassment of riches. Yeah, yeah. I mean, that position is stacked and, you know, I think we could probably trade somebody. And, you know, guys guy from that a deposition to go to another team start and play well. Um, obviously the wide receiver three. I think Cool. A sudden and Jerry duty have won two slots sewn up. You right from the start even knows Jude hadn't and played it down yet. I think they have those locked up, but Compact KJ handlers yet they specified one with me. Ah, and the rest of the guys man and they're going to bounce without. And, um Is going to be fun because you know compassion. He's a dog. He's not getting anything up easily. Ah, and is going to be fun to see how wild Yes, Spencer Kid. You have no idea how they reacted so fun. What do you think? Real quick. What do you think of Ah offensive three wide receiver set that features sudden, Patrick on the outside Jerry Judy, operating out of the slot till he learns how to beat the press and pro coverage. Car man, Beautiful. Yeah. I think I think he's pretty good at the point of you being oppressed right now, anyway, but it doesn't change. What you what you get up to this level. Um, but if he's the thief, he where he's off the line of scrimmage. You know, it wouldn't be a problem anyway. You know if they line the Ah, you're gonna have to be off the ball, though, with three wide receivers, so You'll be fine, man. Looking forward to it. The Godfather of Denver cinema, also pro football Hall of Famer and Ring of Famer Steve Atwater. Thanks for the time, man. Blue. Ah, Denver Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is my favorite that dude, he's the coolest guy is the coolest guy. Good stuff there. Good insight on Justin and just, you know, he was pretty critical. Adjust in there for the first couple of years. I remember when I was doing the show with him over on 7 60 He would have Cem Cem games. I think a lot of it had to do with the expectation. He just He's like, I know he can be better. But you also wondered, And maybe that's a question. I can ask him in a later date. Maybe we'll have more Broncos TV this week. But you also wonder a little bit of it. Is this the finally the best fit for him? Is he finally in the right scheme final with right defensive coordinator that'll really get the best out of him. I think that this defense Is one of the best friend that he could play in most systems about the on ly thing Justin really isn't geared for is to be a box safety. You know, and Steve That's that's kind of what he played a little bit like Justin and Steve play the opposite version of safeties. Not that Steve couldn't cover, not the Justin can't tackle But, you know, I mean, in terms of what What makes just invaluable is he would probably be best served. Honestly, sitting is a one high safety in a in a couple uncovered three system like what? He came up and now move into a cover to cover foreshortened the amount of space he has to cover, which makes him that much better because he is less ground. He's gotta come with all that athleticism. We'll get to your texts. Your call three or 3713 85 85 56690.

She's an old goat. Charlie McCoy so the younger napping younger demographic they want the super girl. Nobody watched. It's fine. Oh she's doing okay she's over there on the CW. She's she's not doing okay but we all like to pretend well better on TV. Well Oil. I know I think it's GonNa last pass the next season while since they they green lit what we need more. And that's what I'm saying because Superman and Lois got picked up for series series For what a whole season to order. Yes like okay To a Muslim than other stuff. He's going to be shirtless insane. Ain't going and passively get. Don't Care Hashtag. Also people got to know the lane there in in Ralway they picked superman so they picked up superman the lowest fast but they picked up that superman show but there's still no word on Green Arrow in the canaries. If that's is going past pilot or not we got to see what that what that back door pilot number. How good but they're gonNA green light it anyway you know why? Actually you didn't want more clams but they do but then he lost it. He's baby love to get a lot of conflicting arguments here. That's on say you know the that she would kill fires. "February race that race that level of performance would would fit well in here here and of course like this a four year old it a close to close to turning five this source could come back you know. A much improved proved runner. Could even move beyond what he's already shown. I don't think that's going to surprise anybody. And Michelle Nevin and been not quite as successful wrong layoffs as she is probably second off so it could be the source is being setup for maybe his next start But actually you know the rates. I'm trying to think of that free enterprise could've onto the fall highway handicap and you have your instead and probably would have been. I don't know who will end up in the fall. High wait but probably would have ended up being one of the choices in there however the taking the conservative route is probably not a big mistake. But Yeah Charlie McCoy's got races that that figure and fast talking king is an interesting worse coming back off the layoff. He's probably going to have to improve a little too much to really take him seriously but it should have gotten sorts. Figured out you know. He wanted he wanted good good maiden race at Gulfstream back in February and he could easily end up needing one maybe two could be a horse to follow in Florida over the winter but He definitely hinted at some ability. Woody and and though he beat Leinster on Leinster's second that surface and he still did it and then Leinster's ended up proven to be length record. Some people call that's proven to be a pretty decent horse so it's it's interesting group and you know. Continue the conversation. We have every week about the quality of a lot of the racing. That's going on right now at Akron especially on the dirt which we really lacked in Saratoga and it's awfully nice to see that sixth race. I've talked about this now for two days Ever since I by the overnight game out the presence of the first time starter Queens Empire the Irish bred. Bill Motte bessie Lou and this is the damn. That's a half to Royal Delta in Kazan and of course you yourself for those that don't Remember Crowned Queen. She won the she won the Queen. Elizabeth and the lake placid actually so She in her own right. She's not just The sister of of Royal Delta and SNEAKY SNEAKY STUD CO ZAN However there's a lot there's a lot more going on in this race including the move by Jad with the Ramsey home bred nick? I thought this was really interesting. Telephone talker ran a very good good race at keeneland on the dirt and rather than go forward on the main moves over to the turf year and yes there's plenty of turf breeding near the dam. Catherine's kitten was very solid and and also artem bridge but I. I'm a little surprised that they'd you know. Maybe maybe they wondered too that if if it came off the turf that that'd be okay but what do you think going on here. I was was simply baffled by this. I I I especially and I do think the scenario that you just laid out. It's probably it's probably a better chance of that being the case then you might originally generally think because he's running one of these European purchase clarify choices in in the race as well right and and it's very hard to believe that he wants to take what what what clearly is. Is it a dirt horse with ability and let's not kid ourselves. I mean Chad doesn't put a lot of two year olds on the track that show big time early early speed and run second in in you know very what ended up being very productive and and Predator who third in that race. I was keen on that day. Everybody was talking about how creditor was was a potential Derby horse. Everybody was talking about Predator and he was supposed to win that race in a canter and so a filter project or ended up very well telephone talker ran great so I really think that this is only running if it gets transferred to the dirt. You mentioned Catherine's kitten being A. I did have a turf influence. She did the only ratio one was on the turf. Wicket Trunks ofr twenty. FIRST TIME TURF HIS PROGENY OVERALL TURF for two for thirty four so it. This is not a horse that you think would end up on the grass now that being said his other horse assiduously as a horse that you would end up imagining on the grass. I'm very clear clear that that was why this was purchase. We've seen obviously chatted a great deal of success with horses purchased overseas including me and Digital Age newspaper of record Those horses all came from from this tattersalls sale where I believe assiduously did as well And so you're expecting good things. It doesn't matter that it's taken until until the time of year for him to debut this around the same time of year. The annals of time debuted a four years ago and other than cleans empire in terms of the interesting looking in two year olds what you're working within your eagerly and Kano's and eagerly as a horse that ran well on debut came back and and didn't embarrass himself at all when being seconds. It's yes so maybe it was a little disappointing because he was kind of an upset winner but A horse with with some ability and clearly American Pharaohs have taken nicely to deter. This is is again side. That's very skilled in terms of of the grass. So I mean I think if telephone talker is entered mainly for the race to come off the tour with it being on the turf you're using using some combination of assiduously eagerly Kinetico's and Queens Empire. Just because you're not going to be beaten by Queens Empire given the the pedigree in the situation here here but in all likelihood is GonNa need a race or two Royal Delta one on debut but This is not always a really put the screws to him debut type afar earn and not might just end up being breaking from the outside as well Queens Empire may need a tour of the of the race. Track a little bit and be ready to go next time. Well looking forward to another nice day of racing Today there happens to be a maiden turf race race that we we mentioned and by my count. There there's a total of three one point something million dollar horses running today today and tomorrow Today the American Pharaoh the Edina Phero out of life at ten for Larry. Best Than Chad running that Fourth race. Making a second start and part of a three to five entry going back to To Belmont and the Raleigh and a four weeks I I suppose Chad's happy with with where the Philly is how she's progressed. Since the debut I I hope so. I really don't think they thought this would have to go to the turf this quickly but I mean it's it's the American Pharaoh thing is funny and I could get on a rant about. I won't oh I know everybody and their brother is trying to to make it seem like American. Pharaoh is a phenomenal stallion by no means is the off to a poor start but They're they're gravitating to the grass a little quicker than Ashford would like That's just my opinion needs. These horses have not proven themselves on the dirty as quickly as one would like. And you don't pay one one point two million for an American Pharaoh right the ten Philly so that it can end up getting stretched out for the grass in second start that being said interesting to see how it runs. Obviously Chad knows what. Get to the grass I thought that speedy Vanessa was was interesting in there as well. We've seen Graham Ocean. Do very well with these Alex Campbell horses and there's plenty of turf pedigree here. You're also in American Pharaoh so Did that might be the somewhat logical alternative. I guess the worst. They had a little bit of speed honor debut and that's a good thing this time of year to be the able to be forwardly placed Given the condition of the of the turn around this time. But Yeah I mean even ESA you're talking about Karlovi Vari and and And A and a couple of other horses that have been successful on the turf. So there's there's some influence including my macho who Graham trained and I believe one is a two year old up in Saratoga So yeah interesting spot and and again just another race where you'll see some quality horses doing battle early in their careers neck. I the one the one thing I occurs I want to ask Chicago Chicago in your in your plan. You know I'm not a hardcore guy. I've actually never gone up there for this and And I shudder shudder to think what will happen if I asked if I can get a hall pass for the weekend to go play in a contest in Chicago. I'm actually considering considering is going up to Lonestar for their contests on December seventh I am still an HD unqualified but The two times I've qualified like this late in the year have both been Thanksgiving weekend. So I'm I'm hesitant to go the I'm GonNa play online route but there's a chance I might play a contest next tweak and see if that getting the job done but yeah. There's a few contests last I can go to loan star. I'm GonNa fairgrounds on the twenty first of December and play their super super qualifier. And there's actually a Sam Houston qualifier on nine January twenty six. Yeah the Anybody who is within the area and wants to play that contest it'd be very similar to what Lonestar does thousand dollars. It'll be primarily Sam Houston races. They've got a couple of spots for twenty or twenty one uh-huh and they're also offering tour points so if you're that persuasion there's a chance to do it and and I think they're gonNA do an excellent job there. They're getting pretty much all the recommendations for how to run the contest from myself and trae styles qualified I think every year the HD has happened so And it's also a Houston so we're going to do our best to make sure the players are well taken care of and that should be an excellent car racing so it's Gulfstream wants to force out to peg the rainbow six again the following day. It will give you a great diversion. Excellent eleven good job. Yeah well then I see pop. Babies First Thanksgiving next week. That'll be dinner out tonight so nice. Yeah no time in wasting no time at all in and the weather's very nice here it's got nice and warm so she's adapting well. She got good good weight report last week at the doctor after not not gaining enough weight the week before she had a conversation about being Tamra and and she agreed to take her on weight so I love it. It's so great. Well happy Thanksgiving We'll do some handicapping Friday of the big the big holiday weekend same to you happy birthday. Let's hope that minute mouths gives you a short lead a belated birthday gift tomorrow. You got a couple in tomorrow so I ah bowl. TERRAIN IS GONNA scratch. I just heard from Gary. She appears to have mentioned an ankle. And I'm not Waiting to hear She's going for ex-race they she just was out for a Gallup this morning game back And and suddenly was was off and So Gary just literally in the last fifteen minutes is just texted me. So we'll we'll just have the third race tomorrow but I have to go down because I forgot to. I forgot to renew my license so I have to go in and they get the license. Done down aqueduct tomorrow before the race DHEC I appreciate it. Yeah exactly enjoy and I'll talk next week. Thanks for having me Nick Tammaro everybody. Let's take a break and got scully and got the visit. We're looking forward to from Brad Anderson who won the breeders got petting challenge will get his report and his blow blow by blow and of course Having to at the literally.

"We're back at the races about ten twelve minutes to the top after the hour. May We may move some pieces here on the chessboard. I Looking forward to catching up with Jay get a little bit more Coming out of that high velocity win Bob Bob. Hope we didn't talk to Jay last week and really haven't discussed authentic yet Much The impressive baffert maiden winner the mischief. A really right now. I mean a lot of the really the Baffert the BAFFERT hand. It sure feels like it. Sure feels like eight rings is like fifty on the on the pecking order already. The when you look at these others like thousand words and and so forth so we'll we'll get we'll maybe get a j on the flip side because Nick Tambo jumps in at the ready and Neck Morning Steve. How are you? I'm great. I'm great WANNA do catch up with you and handicap a little bit in New York with if again another stacked card of racing. I it's Red Smith's the feature tomorrow and we've got a second level allowance as part of pick four. Pick five a good seven eighths race where chattel be a heavy favourite two year olds on the turf. And I think we're going to be okay with the grass. There might be a little a bit of rain today but I think we might slip through talking about the Red Smith. Yeah what this is the second or third year in a row. The Red Smith has come up with an absolute. I mean it's minefield for wagering perspective. I guess the difference is at Sadler's joy is deservedly. Sadly it's GonNa be a big favorite and he doesn't. He really doesn't stop with him he's just one of I think a number of contenders and it was funny when when Marshal Graham told told me he was gonNA run DOT Matrix in the Red Smith. I said he's been wanting to run dot matrix long forever and I told old the only thing I can tell you is that race has come up like sort of A. Nobody realized one of the toughest great at sacred on the entire year in New York and And this is no exception so the good thing about it is it. Looks like you got confirmed pace glorious empire and red right hand signed up they both really gory stuff are more southern. Red Right hand really only knows one way to go so that should make that will ensure that things are good and then also Tisza Slam is gonNA show some speed from the inside so it feels feels like it'll be anonymously run race. I would assume that Sadler soil get the setup that he he needs in order to be successful but the difference between maybe previous races leases with him and tomorrow is that. Have your Solano's getting on. And he has generally been a little bit more patient with With Sadler's joy Jose with God I wanted wanted to get him involved a little bit earlier each of the last two times including the sword dancer. I actually think that worked well for him so it could be a situation where he ended up having to to make up a lot of ground. And I'm not sure that you want to necessarily be doing that this time of year on on either. Of course Marzo was an impressive winter. Sycamore Nakimora maybe had a little bit tougher trip than Marzo. Did that day that the data have Mars was last time at fourteen to one. You'RE GONNA get less than that in here considerably tougher field and you know the bloom. mm-hmm is off the rose. I think given that he's now shown he wanted to do this all along. And and he looked like maker getting him and And putting him in a spot like this in order to get it done you also have the import the field who has been successful going long and the task in France now in the in the barn of Chris Claremont pretty shockingly and and this is something he used to do very very well. Chris Commencement on a pretty bad run with European imports. And it'll be interesting to see how this horse does. It could be a situation where all along he may have needed to not necessarily firmer ground probably late six. We talked about this all the time especially breeders stop time but I've always been of the opinion that forces that come over from Europe either need firm ground or lasix earn some cases both. So there's there's a big chance of him moving forward and rattled off picks horses and and probably left out a couple of other somewhat legitimate contenders. It's really just that kind of rate it's funny that you introduce this conversation. Asian actually a about how competitive this is for a late season turf race. And of course Sadler's joy the decision from from the camp Woods Lane and timeout for tranny to bypass Breeders Cup and that they would make this their you know their season ending goal goal. So you gotTa feel like Albert trannies done all the candidates to be ready for this spot roll. They were realistic about it. There was probably a pretty pretty slim chance he was going to be able to beat bricks and mortar and then he wouldn't have been probably much lower than twelve or fifteen to one. I don't think he would have had a much better chance than it. Looks like our caller or Zulu Alpha. So I run there and and probably be in line for a fourth place. Check at best when you could run here. You'RE A winner share. Gets you even more than you would for fourth place in there so good. We don't see enough of this necessarily or in some cases we see too much of it but we don't see enough of it in this kind of scenario and the great sake level where horses are put. Our wisely spotted the And I think one of the things that you want to keep focusing on with this horse is that he's been most effective around three turns and and I know that the the turf classic the classic was a good effort and and it was a race where he really ended up position somewhere. Where you'd almost never expect the horse? Like savage joy as he more or less scrimmaged on the lead with arklow quo channel maker. And that's something we had You don't WanNa say seldom seen from several joy. We'd never seen it. He's always been a deep one run closing time that needed thinks on fold in front of him in order to set the table and Jose. Let's kind of dig. I think someone astutely get him involved in a little bit earlier and we talked about that race race in preparation for the Breeders Cup turf the field being somewhat compressed coming to the quarter pole really did give a big advantage to arco who has the strongest causing kick of those three horses. So I think returning to well I did. I did say that. Have you're being more than likely to take him back. He'll be able to return to his more comfortable running style. I don't necessarily surly know if that will provide them a big advantage but I I've enjoyed savage joy for a long time in an intact six year. Old who's a grade one winners a lot of fun. So it'll be it'll be a lot. It'll be interesting to see what he has offered tomorrow. In what undoubtedly is realistic yet difficult. Let's back up into the AH eighth race and This is a turf sprint on the outer turf and as always you know you got you got your your choice You GotTa make decision about the pace and You know there's a horse or two that have run races that would look to into maybe push this field around a tiny bit and you know that get. Mother arose was making steady progress through the the year and kind of went. I'M NOT GONNA say sideways but but didn't get the didn't get the trip that that she wanted. I would say last time. Go in the seven eighths at Belmont and back to six in here and at nine to two. I I was kind of interested in going back to her. Well that that's where you need to go. In my opinion I think I think that Any viewing the replay of her last asked race prior to being signed inside the issue with the with that particular race was that there was not a whole great deal of pace on paper shockingly and no one showed any speed and horse. Mother arose who I don't know opposing Ortiz had felt maybe a little bit tricked into what happened the time before but it was six lengths off the pace to starts back because that was an extremely fast ace and she found herself three lengths off the pace last time and that was an extremely slow pace and the shame of it is that this this is a fast horse so she was at a physician from the start and ended up lacking a clear path in the stretch. And I you know I bet I'll handle the cash. Last time I will admit mid that because I thought that she'd be right on top of what I figured it would be a relatively moderate pace. Ray Handles Barn. was going very well at the time. to me. There's no chance that I'll handle the cash. Josh will be got mother arose tomorrow. They may finish last. The next to last game other arose is GonNa Finish ahead of her. I Know Rosario getting back are getting on. I'll handle the cash is a good move but yep mother rose is a better horse and with a clear trip. She's GonNa get the job done. It looks like it'll be a slightly more honestly run race. If kittens covergirl shows the speed from the outside that she has has recently that should only enhance the situation. Have you people are going to end up on Albertville as well who improved last time Off of the somewhat lengthy lay-off they offer four five months layoff and now goes off of it and finished up. Well honey. I'm good will receive plenty of support given she's got some pace and can be involved from the start so there are a few different ways to go. I just based on that trip last time I have to take mother arose. And I'll feel like I'll do that with a pretty decent amount of confidence nice So glad we agree there. Let's let's talk about that seventh race. Here's a classic seven eighths first level allowance Not a big big field but certainly a free enterprise is runs back to that maiden breaker Belmont at the end of September He's going to be tough to beat but You know there's also the aspect that Chad add playing it. You know rather conservative with free enterprise kind of spoon feeding him with the allowance dry rather than shopping for a steak somewhere. Yeah I mean I guess he probably could have gone to a place like Laurel or or something like that. I mean this kind of feels like A. I don't know maybe a General George George type of force in the in relatively short run Don't forget also. The exact same connections have complexity got one hundred and one buyer in winning on on Wednesday. I'm sorry you're on Wednesday but yeah interesting group and I guess the the Horse that I was looking at the overnight the other day I couldn't remember if he had run since I remember Double Award winning the opener on Belmont Friday going wire to wire in a race that I think a lot of us chopped up through to attract bias but double Orvin's very impressive winner that day and then surprised many people with the quality of the race that he ran coming in with what looked like pretty nondescript workouts and then ended up just ripping that field apart obviously has had the setback since then. But he'll do the heavy lifting early in here with the speed from the inside. And I imagine free enterprise in and some extent kong-style will be set up outside of him. You know free enterprise really unlucky maiden in that he he landed in some pretty tough fields ran into some pretty good horses including performer and NYC. And obviously the day that airtouch feed him. I'm sure have of your council auto wishes that he could have had that back a given that he moves probably a little bit too soon. It looks like he's positioned well on the outside. Just talk in pounced in the field and you know David Aragona was somewhat conservative with the morning line making them nine to five when you think about this source at nine to five versus savage joy at eight to five and the Red Smith through. This feels like a much much likelier winner but there are few alternatives. I think when push comes to shove if you're playing pick five you're probably leaning on free enterprises alone a and using everybody else's evacuate because he wins this race to me somewhere in the vicinity of seventy five eighty percent of the time especially if he runs back to his last race. He'll just he'll eat very very tough to be. Charlie McCoy four to one for Michelle Nevin. The state bread cleared second level state bread the condition. So he's got to move to to this and I'll tell you that that even though he got beat in that that February race that race that level of performance would would.

"Welcome back to nocturnal journal. That's Lee David Zimmerman. And I asked you for some of your favorite songs that was one of songs you picked. So talk about Bob Dylan, Mr. Zimmerman's influence on. You. The same. I have to tell you, I do have a cousin Robert Zimmerman. That's all I'm going to say. You know about Dylan. An American icon. One of the greatest songwriters in history of going to say in the twentieth century but goes well beyond. And. Given has come up with so many amazing creative ideas in the whole trajectory of popular music. But when he went country, quote unquote with John Wesley Harding. And then more definitively with Nashville skyline. She really, really changed the course of popular music him and depend, and the nitty gritty dirt band. The first time the old school Nashville players with these long haired hippie types, and down common ground whereas before it was different worlds. You know is funny. I'm gonna drop in the here. You know, I've got some in the books, but today, in fact, I spoke with Charlie McCoy. Boy, in cyncial, national central session player, and he gave me a little insight into Dylan because he worked on any number of early Dylan now. And so I had asked him, I said, Charlie actually, I said, Mr. McCoy out of due reverence, but I said, what was killing like that? That's the talk is, does he crack jokes? And he said he doesn't talk. Somebody once said about Bob Dylan. He's the only guy that doesn't have a good comeback. For hello. Right. And we talked to him for a little document, and the staple singers he was good to work with. So you were former promotions rapidy BC capitol records. What did you what did you see from the inside of like the inside of the business? And how did you have apply that into the book? Well, I'm not sure that really. Applied that into the book per se. Start with the first question. Yes. I found out and I still know this, that there's a lot of music out there. That's all competing to get through a very, very narrow tunnel. They, there's, there's there were dozens hundreds of songs out there that were worthy of airplay and my job was to get these stones on the radio. But the competition was so immense any given week were thirty or forty current songs all buying to get on playlists, which, for the most part would only accommodate maybe one to sometimes no new songs with the top forty you know, are still in circulation. It doesn't leave a lot of room to get new material on there. And it was very difficult and often very frustrated because she had these great songs that would take forever to get the program directors to pay attention and the competition was immense. So. As far as your second question is concerned, now that I'm a writer so called review or critic although I don't consider myself a critic I have every week, dozens and dozens of publicity people walking their new artists or their old artists or something every week. There are dozens about blooms that they bring to my attention that they want me to review. And like the promotion guy that I was it's very difficult to get past the competition. There's, there's only so many hours in a day, and only so many reviews article set, my editors will accept so I can have in front of me three or four dozen great albums that I would like to. Right about that. There's simply that possibility. And ultimately, it comes down to the fact that there's so many great artists that still linger the niece the radar because they can't get hurt or they can't get reviewed or they can't get noticed and it's, it's just sad. You know, that there's so much great music out there, and we'll only really become aware of a fraction of depending on our interests and people, the but mostly the mainstream is only going to hear about their few of sometimes the best stuff on the outside of the borders. You know what I mean? Americana music voices visionaries and pioneers of an honest sound, how can people find it Lee? Well, very easily, they could go to bones noble. They can go to Amazon, if you type type in American music, voices visionaries, or type in Americana music, and my name, David simmer men that way, it'll come up, but target has it bones noble, most of the major stores, have it a lot of the independent bookstores have it as well. And it's out there. She's very, very, very handsome book. How long did it take you to put this together in terms of like doing all the how many interviews did you do for the book? Something like three dozen there. And, you know, writing a book takes time, but finding a publisher willing to publish it takes even more time. And even when you find a publisher, it was, like two years from start to finish with this, and yeah. And now I'm writing a new book about a famous producer that's going to take time. It's a very long process, and I have to get credit to my wife. Lisa cherry took all the one does in the book. This was her sort of maiden voyage at the tiger for and she's gone. A lot of compliments on her photos as well. Casey chambers there. Oh, yeah. Yes, she is. Yes. What did you I'm looking up here in the student? What did you learn about music in? And in the industry that maybe you didn't know before you sit out on this journey. Well, I think this act that there are very few overnight wonders. I mean, well today, you see a lot of artists, you say where do they come from never heard of them? But for the most part, musicians take a very long time to develop their craft say start out in very small inconspicuous places clubs or bars or very, you know, specious Benue along very in a spacious tour route. And so it's the music that we that we hear the news, that emerges is applaud at of a lot of work and a lot of really application to, to making this music. The common denominator seem to be that most of these artists that I've talked to knew from berry. Early on. That this was what they wanted to do. They didn't want to do the nine to five. They were willing to focus on their music to write songs to record to work with other musicians and really hone, it even at the cost of not being able to pay the rent or living in the car or doing whatever sacrifice. They had to do. And it's I greatly admire that determination. You know, it's, it's not a quick trip to fame and fortune. And it takes a lot of hard work in Meyer, their perseverance in doing that. I mean you're right. It's a commitment. I'm looking, I'm looking at David, I mean, David Bromberg, he's come through Chicago. And he's playing you know, you've got a lot of people in here who just you can, you can feel the commitment, Timothy B Schmidt. Like you said he's, he's been. He's been everywhere. You know he's done. Everything to me be Smith. He says he says, in your book eagles. Longer. Eagles at Dan. You know, there's always going to be egos quizzing. Guess a natural occurrence when you get to a certain level. But, you know, at the same time, I think the new musicians that retained that honesty and integrity that true. Soulful nece put the music. I and and you know, when you do that the results are going to be spectacular. Thank you, Lee. David Zimmerman, thanks for joining us tonight. Eastern tennessee. Yes, I'm just south of Knoxville when people when I tell people from Tennessee, they automatically assume, the national, no there's much more to the beautiful state of Tennessee, and then national, and where I live, just south of nuts, Tennessee to fertile area for great music..

"But. Right. I mean he had some incredible saves. I didn't love goal. Number three Prins. I golden love that, when short side thought he left too much too much available there on the short side. But other than that, I mean, I don't think he could do much about the other ones. And boy, when they went up four two three eight he had some incredible saves it could have been five three six three. So I just if you look at forego, it wasn't very good. I tell you what I thought he was a lot better. Those goals would indicate so I agree. I, I need like a couple of goals that he and other done is that he had he had anybody talk to during hockey games. So he texts me consistently, busy the one. You have no idea what he does for living. He's hitting. So he's actually during games and, and he like by times, four times how bad Martins, and, and then the period. Back. Are we seeing virtual? And of course, he came back to something I thought was rude for you say in better. He said these things before. Lack of class. Was he in the third period? He saved the game in a position to the net hockey and he wasn't great. But who's to fail? Unbelievable. And he's been like that for a long time. I was to periods have been very good. They look put enough pressure on the opposition. They've not going to run away with games of all the way back in games there with defense, but Martin challenge voice. And he made some saves that well basically saved the game for them. He, he got that win for them just as much as thirty now I, I agree. And in speaking Carlson, drew drew talking about last night overtime victory over St Louis, blue sharks to one lead in the Western Conference finals, this guy, just. It's like he gliding out there on the on the ice. And when you watch him and I think we talked about this a week or so ago, he started to feel better now and you can see it. But some of the things he does on the just like holy smokes. This guy can really, really skate, and it probably good for him the couple goals first goals of the playoffs, but just as stuff that he can do with the pocket. I see why the blues wanted to punish him because we don't punish him skill wise. You can't keep up with this guy. He's. I think question that I watch them play, I would say. He's probably seventy five percent. I don't think he's even close really. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. There's times I watched him and it's kits going. Backwards backwards hitting on his watch him when he's under little pressure, cutting make that turn, especially when he's trying to push off the left skating was white. He seems a little hesitant on this. But what is going forward? He's such a beautiful skater that the glide is he he's those guys who gain speed when he died. It's incredible protects the puck. So, well, the other thing when you watch him play points with the puck is burns, are unbelievable, that they are that patient, when they got the puck because the puck, you get little jittery after me, and I gotta, you know, you want you to get it as quick as you can, then get rid of it, as quickly as you can't they don't they have nice touch, and they just have more patients than anybody. And they've got the other thing. They sometimes it's that sometimes you watch him pass that puck. There is no doubt if coming off his stick passed yesterday. On the policy. They don't remember who it was to think it was came at the beginning. Sees put a little bit far. Thanks very much. Wow. Drilled it up to their there. I would say this though is good as he is. And has good as he gets the gate and you feel good when he has the puck. He threw a couple pretty lose passes in all their zone. I was like, are you seriously? You're gonna try that one. Get turned into scoring chances like let's go. Let's, let's tighten that up a little bit. I guess you do you, do you do have to accept it burns, although I gotta say burns has been pretty mindful like last week, number of games like he still gets up and he jumps up and we expect to do that. But we always say good with the bad with burns as well. There in been a whole lot of bad with burns. I mean he's been like is, is good as you'd want on defense and then gets in there and jumps up. And he's got that great shot from the, the upper right hand corner. But I just he's been fantastic. Even really. In, in Canada in Canada, the show, the players coming in the suits, and that big back on and everything else. There is a there's a seriousness about Brent burns right now that wasn't there a few years ago, it was kind of wild and crazy and really embrace that, that personality. It's fun. It's great to be around Burji when he's like, you know, he's kind of guy who on the on the airplane, Jitsugyo day. He's a really good YouTube. He's quite quite good. And he would come up in watching guys play cards, and he gave me a little push. And I go, no. We're not doing this. And we would literally on that I'll get me into cold and out in the exit in the actual he did all the time. I'd be running on the treadmill workout, he coming in from a massage, I go, no. And he, he was that kind of guy just crazy funded unpredictable. But you watch him now you watch the media. Now you wash coming into the rink. Now there is a seriousness about Brent burns. This is a business trip from here on inform and I think that's why you're seeing his game. It's, it's daily little more serious, and there hasn't been a whole lot of bad. Gregg berger. There is George. We said high before we before we run. I t shirts on the way to do. Enjoy Charlie McCoy at the press conference yesterday two days ago, I guess it was. Yeah. Today. So those people that don't know he was sitting there, two carafe the press conference, and he got up at the very end because literally every question was to, to harass any wet. Oh, this does work. They got it out. Terry mecca declaration, helluva player? And I thought it was said, tastic super. I got a request. He has either William hand jive or are can make class. Oh, I can make your hands. Who's that from? I don't know. It's one of those every rink every year every year, there's a there's a there's an anthem, you know, it was it was Bruno Mars and council. I can make your hands clap every, every year, every rank them every thirty one St. so fixing the I can make an Clapper William. That's a good one. That's a good one for the hand pass hand path. Eight has anthem. Yeah. All day. I thought so sure I thought so sure that one of you knowing, relationship with each other, I thought one of these really say now that's what they call a happy, Nick. I'm sorry, we're sorry to disappoint. Civically to be honest. We are trying to class it up a little, thank you for bringing it right back down to where we belong. Thank you Behan hand. I gotta be honest. That means. Thanks talk to you. Guess Monday, we'll talk to you do games. Two games love you to until Georgia's at high got. Got. Give him a hand for through. We appreciate it. Have a good weekend. We'll talk to drew on Monday, Friday and Sunday and good Lord willing. Maybe we talking about the finals could be when two more games, you can talk about the finals on Monday. I don't think that's gonna happen. I think they'll still go six maybe seven but never know. Yeah, good stuff from Jrue. And again, the hand pass the whole thing, but bottom line is the sharks lead the series two games one after the five four overtime win rod Higgins as the Tom Tolbert, who this is your life memory lane.

"A nice country. Feel you can almost almost taste the dust coming off the back of a pickup. I'm a big believer. That music transports you somewhat. A lot of people bookmark time in their life. I really hope that whoever listens taken somewhere like that. But you know with Charlie McCoy having played. Walk. Bride air would do in the federal they really kind of embellish the dust off the back of the pickup truck. Perfect. It's a Sunday afternoon dusk. Among the cornfields on a dirt road of beautiful beautiful song, really really wonderful. But. What you said a moment ago sort of brings to mind something. What what is what is your how how do you right? Where where does that come from? Is it is it sort of an organically? We're talking with with Martin bar a little while ago from tall. And and his style is is sort of organic just sort of comes to him and and boils. How does it come for you? Very similar even tar player. I often end up sitting at the piano. Kind of letting letting any inefficient go, okay. I think I don't mean to get way out there. Kind of a cosmic thing. We've talked with a lot of creative people and. Create characters for for a book. I like to think that that I have complete control of them. But at some point in the book on the character will tell me what they want to do. And I it's.

"Now. Dubrovsky skate ahead separates from ensure over the line left side of the left circle sauce to cross Craig. Fire. Boston Bruins, Charlie McCoy. Time with a dagger. Perfect trip. They've won six straight. That's a season as they beat the sharks. Six. One incredible emotional lift for the Bruins. So was a minute left in overtime roughly. And you get this game winner from McEvoy here with Judd sirott on the Bruins radio network. Dan Rostenkowski on the sharks radio network before that but season best six wins in a row and think about the Bruins last eleven games eight oh and three. So there point streak is now eleven games. This two teams believe it or not who have identical records kind of fun after they got done with this particular game. They had the same exact records have been playing really well coming into this clash so the Bruins edged the sharks in San Jose in overtime and Joe Thornton has his funds spoiled. I guess momentarily now that you can just get what are the chances. He gets hat tricks and back to back games. Okay. I know it's probably not going to happen. What I'm most excited about is to see him play. And I'm glad they have a couple of days off in between. Because I was a little bit nervous is thirty nine year old bulky knees that he might decide to sit out that game on Thursday. But it doesn't matter I'm committed. I'm going no matter what. And so I'll be there on Thursday at the arena in Pittsburgh. And will then do my show from our affiliate 93.7 the fan coming up that night. So that's a little bit later this week. All right. "Skate ahead separate from controlling the line left side of the left circle sauce. The cross fire. Ruins Charlie McCoy. Over time with a dagger. Perfect. On the trip. Straight. Season as they beat the sharks in six. Judd sirott with the call on the Bruins radio network, huge for them and mcevoy's had just four goals this year. But this one came with a minute left in overtime after the Bruins blue and early three goal lead. So big for them because they're on the road. They're still perfect on this road trip. Season-best six wins in a row and actually in their last eleven games are H O in three. So they've had points any Levin consecutive games. So big for the Bruins, even as they're missing. There's still missing poster knock to and so a lot of their scoring with him. They're having to overcome that law. So you've got all kinds of scoring in the NHL everywhere. You look it was one of those dynamic nights on the ice. And maybe that what's your appetite for the Stanley Cup postseason which will start in mid April. I'd say you can find me on Twitter a law radio. "Said Fernando sire watch Bennett refocus brought to you by hill. And Dale speaking of Ellendale, vid night curfew. The maiden Witter. Took a third start. But this is the worst that looks like he's going to be. Something to watch and second try a mile. He debuted actually went to Kentucky with him during the run-up and the Breeders Cup run up. And he was in that race that Jack van Berg one. Yeah. Any ran okay. Ran kind of the very kind of an even race basically split the field. And then he sharpened up a little bit. He showed speed one of my favorite angles. When you see when you see a horse that hadn't necessarily shown speed, and it was making its way in the Maidan ranks all of a sudden, you'll say sometimes second start third start to see a horse show speed. And they might not win. But that's always a good sign almost always. And that's exactly what happened on December. First when bid night curfew came back, and ran again, this is the worst bread by Fred Hertrich, and John fielding, a midnight, lute and just the other day, we were extolling the virtues midnight curfew terrific eighty something buyer in here in his maiden win came in. The six and Mike Ryan actually Ryan. Mike Ryan's name turned up at. Just looking down. And and Ryan had another. I think he was involved in static. He's a partner and he was steak Witter over the weekend. He might have been look at that home run maker. I betcha he's involved there. I saw that. I saw Michael Mike Ryan's name. A couple of times this weekend isn't interesting midnight curfew, and when we talked to my oh, find out what? What might be next because he feels like he's going somewhere. I mentioned that we're gonna visit with. Kelly ruling. So we'll talk about the laurel action before we do that stay at Akwa duck for a second. I suppose I could have saved this Randy. But on Friday, you'll recall, you know, after the Thursday. The late portion of that Thursday card was. Was cancelled the high winds they came back on Friday. They had to do the pick six carryover and the pick five carryover, and for those that I didn't have time to because, you know, Thursday felt like it was going to be the. You know, the place to play in. And then you have to you have to reboot. Well. The action on on Friday was pretty much straightforward until the feature Charlie McCoy. Michelle, Evan a little red feather and partners. That was the best price a thirteen dollar horse. Otherwise, it was it was very much dominated by logical 's in the favorites. And as a result ended up with the sequence the pick five with a I think another hundred thousand in the pool pay three hundred bucks, basically for fifty cents and the pick six eleven hundred. So that was another. Let's see there was another. There was there twenty five south. There was another and fifty thousand in there. So for those that rebooted and and went after the pick five of the pick six carryover cured McLaughlin for Carl Pollard. And they they have that maiden that one off by itself. In fact, should take a peek by the name of flash. And that was a pretty nice effort Eighty-one buyer for that. And there's hill in dall- again. This was a violence Philly, and she was the only horse that had made a previous star. She wins three to five Dr is angel. Rob actress, and we've mentioned that actress was who'd been a the assistant for DRO out on his own. And this was this was a crazy race with Dr angel and stay fine. They were they were sixteenth of mile ahead of the rest of the field. And. As it happens Dariz angel was three to one and stay font was four to five. So that that didn't hurt you had a four to five shot get beat in the fifth race that might knock the couple of people out and you had five five to two Witter countable. Here's Linda rice with breezy. The Varo of for my that. He now owns that handed over to him by Bill Parcells and he wanted to to five then there was that Charlie McCoy and then three two on miss big times. Also. Best Chris Kreider is their best player. They don't have a number one Saturday don't have score. They don't have the defense. Look, I just gotta get your opinion. Do you have any faith in Jeff Gordon? I know they got some guys coming up. You're going to see the Russian goalie the Russian kid, you're gonna see the Andre Miller probably at the end of the year, maybe from Wisconsin. You know, it's a building process. But I'm up. I'm wondering if I have faith in Gordon or not. I mean, you gotta give them a chance. But let's face. It is not a very good team. You know shots and one goal. I mean, they dominated whole third periods. And we'll get your thoughts. I now want to say something about the jets. Okay. This is about about Adam gays coach this is about mcadoo and being retained. Okay. This is the pressure on mcadam as far as I'm concerned. And I gotta ask you something about the Yankees before goal is is broadcast. We're to go out and get any left handed bat.
